- 0:15Episode 1 of Midlife Card Chase with none other than David
- 0:23Chase. My friend, how are you?
- 0:25Welcome to the sports card clubhouse permanently.
- 0:29Wow, I mean permanently for now. I really appreciate it until I
- 0:33get you annoyed at me. But man, it is fun to be here.
- 0:38I'm very, very excited to be doing this with you buddy.
- 0:42You know, we're, we're friends that talk anyway outside of
- 0:45this, so we're just bringing it onto the podcast, aren't we?
- 0:48100% Now if David looks familiar, if he sounds familiar,
- 0:54first thing I will say is you can find him Saturday nights on
- 0:58Sports Cards Live and he's been on this channel a couple of
- 1:02times and and just if you need just a really a little a little
- 1:07tiny reminder, all right, So tell us what's happening, bud,
- 1:11All right. So these are cars I'm probably
- 1:14not selling, but there's a chance someday in the future I
- 1:16might. So I tried to.
- 1:18So David was the face of of MBA stickers for at least a couple
- 1:25of days, right? Has that changed?
- 1:28Am I not the face of my sticker stickers?
- 1:31I don't know what the world thinks.
- 1:34All I know is that you're open minded to the sticker thing and
- 1:40when cards have sold they've done better.
- 1:42But we've been down that road and we can circle back to that.
- 1:45I want to start things off right here and I want to set the
- 1:50record straight for a second on how did this come to be?
- 1:57How did this show right here? Because I introduced it on, on
- 2:02my channel on Wednesday, April 29th and I, I made the
- 2:07announcement and I'm, it sounds like maybe I made a little bit
- 2:12of a mistake in how this all all played out.
- 2:15So let's go through this together.
- 2:17Yeah, you were aggressive. You were very aggressive in the
- 2:20way that you brought, that you said that, that we started that.
- 2:23I basically begged you. Greg, can we have a show
- 2:27together, please? That's basically what you said
- 2:29on your show, am I right? I I that's not how I intended it
- 2:33to sound. If that's how it came across
- 2:36then my apologies. Here's what I remember is when
- 2:41we first met at the West Coast Card Show in February, believe
- 2:45it or not, this was like 2 months ago.
- 2:47The first time we ever spoke was two months ago.
- 2:50And when that happened, I remember meeting you, liking
- 2:55you, and then not far into it, I could tell you had a lot of
- 3:00charisma and I said you should start a channel And you said and
- 3:06and then tell me what was the play by play on how we got to
- 3:10where we are right now? Yeah, I mean, even when we were
- 3:14at West Coast Card Show, by the way, was kind of we, we spoke
- 3:17for only like 10 minutes right at the show.
- 3:20And but Greg was exactly how you want Greg to be, you know, when
- 3:24you talk to him, sweet, kind, nice, pretending to listen to
- 3:28what you're saying. So that was like all wonderful.
- 3:31He actually, I was hanging out with one of my dealer friends
- 3:35and they had like a young child that was like his godson that
- 3:38was helping him. We haven't spoken about this
- 3:40Greg, but like Greg started talking to him about like doing
- 3:42a podcast someday. And I think even you gave him
- 3:45like some a little bit of money to be able to buy some
- 3:47equipment. Like Greg was just, you know,
- 3:50Mr. Rogers the way that we all know he is.
- 3:52And so like, it was a good conversation, but you know, I
- 3:56thought that was great. It was nice.
- 3:57Greg and I like, you know, had a had a very nice correspondence
- 4:01for 10 minutes. Then he taped that Mike Baker
- 4:03sticker thing. And then from there, like a
- 4:06couple of days later, I ended up getting a text from you saying
- 4:11you got my number from Mike Petty.
- 4:13And then we just kind of started talking and texting.
- 4:16And that's when I think you said you, you should have a channel.
- 4:20And I was like, Nah, I don't need to have one.
- 4:22And I said, but I, I'm fine with like, you know, doing stuff with
- 4:25other people. I love all of these content
- 4:28creators, what they do. I'm a huge supporter.
- 4:30I watch all your stuff and I watch a lot of people stuff.
- 4:34And you're like, that's great. But like, I think I, and then
- 4:37you think you said something like you and I, we need to do
- 4:40something eventually. You like said something like
- 4:43that. I I'm trying to figure out what
- 4:46I can do with you. Like you said something like
- 4:48that, which I took it as when you finally, finally like a week
- 4:54later, you asked me like, do you want to do the show to talk
- 4:57about my thicker stickers? Right.
- 4:59So that's kind of what I thought of of you asked me what to do.
- 5:05Fast forward like a month later, we ended up as we were talking,
- 5:09you said to me, you said I want you to think about doing
- 5:15something on my network and don't, you don't have to make an
- 5:19answer now. This is like Greg's sales pitch.
- 5:22You don't have to do an answer now, but we will talk about it.
- 5:25And I said we'll talk about it in Strongsville.
- 5:28So when I brought that up, that was because you mentioned before
- 5:33we should do like not that we should do something, that I
- 5:35should do something. And I was basically saying I
- 5:37don't want to do something by myself.
- 5:39But listen, if you want to do something together that would be
- 5:42entertaining, That's that's my perception of what happened.
- 5:46Am I crazy? No, I mean, a lot of that sounds
- 5:49like things I would say. I do think that I do.
- 5:54I do recall suggesting that you should do something on the
- 5:58Clubhouse network. I think that I enjoy talking
- 6:03with you and I think that of course, anytime that you would
- 6:09be speaking to people, they would enjoy it because I enjoy
- 6:12it. I do want to circle, but now
- 6:14that we've cleared the air, so you didn't beg me on your hands
- 6:17and knees like apparently I said that you did.
- 6:20It was actually more of a mutual kind of from you should do a
- 6:25channel to you should do something on our network to why
- 6:29don't we do something together on the network and then here we
- 6:32are. Regardless, I'm very excited for
- 6:35this and plan is that this will be twice a month.
- 6:39And then we have a couple other shows that are going to be kind.
- 6:44They're working out a few details that are going to fill
- 6:46in a couple of times a month. So there should be a regular
- 6:51show coming on the channel on a certain day of the week.
- 6:56Again, we'll finalize all that. Wait, I want to talk about that
- 6:59for a second. OK, so.
- 7:03I got to interject one thing a second ago.
- 7:06You said that I gave money to a kid and I just feel like I need
- 7:10to address that because that sounds a little odd that I'm
- 7:13giving money to a kid. So no, it's great.
- 7:17Well, I'm, yeah, it sounds a little bit weird, depending on
- 7:20how you hear it. The kid, the, the kid in
- 7:22question is a a really nice kid who's into vintage cards.
- 7:26He's into learning about the economics of cards.
- 7:30And, and I believe that the best learning that takes place is
- 7:33real life situations like this. He'll learn more trying to sell
- 7:37cards at card shows then he will this entire year at school,
- 7:41whatever grade he's in. And what I, what I did it when
- 7:46you do it, when you do what you consider to be a decent deed,
- 7:50you don't usually talk about it because that's not why you, you,
- 7:54you do the deed. You do it because you feel like
- 7:58it's the right thing to do. And I suggested to him that he
- 8:02should start a channel because he's got charisma.
- 8:05He's a good kid. It it's a positive outlet.
- 8:08There's a lot worse things you could be doing.
- 8:10And he said, my mom won't let me.
- 8:12I tried to talk her into it. And I said, well, maybe you
- 8:15approach mom with the idea of you not show your face for a
- 8:20while. It'd be a faceless channel.
- 8:22And you go to card shows and you deal at card shows and you show
- 8:26cards and he goes, well, how does that work?
- 8:28How could I do it where don't show my face?
- 8:30And I said, do you see this, 'cause I wear like a harness
- 8:33sometimes where on my chest I'll mount my camera on my phone.
- 8:37Basically a baby Bjorn. It's a baby Bjorn for a for a
- 8:41phone and I said you need one of these.
- 8:45And so I gave him like 20 bucks and I said here, buy one on
- 8:49Amazon and you can get started and you can start to make stuff
- 8:54and you can see what mom thinks and maybe it'll be a compromise.
- 8:57So that's that's what that was all about now.
- 9:01I don't even make it sound like that you were doing something
- 9:04sketchy. No, I just wanted to explain.
- 9:09It's like it was just like, well, you got a, there's a kid
- 9:12who you're trying to make do videos and you gave him money.
- 9:15It just it felt weird to me, so I felt like I needed to clarify.
- 9:20I get it. So here's the thing about Greg
- 9:22and my relationship. OK?
- 9:24I'm Greg is the nicest, sweetest person.
- 9:26He's actually, as funny as this sounds, he's very similar to my
- 9:30wife. OK, She's because she is
- 9:34extremely sensitive. I've had to learn to keep my
- 9:40brashness down by being married to a wonderful woman like her,
- 9:45who I totally overachieved for. By the way, she's like, smart
- 9:47and beautiful and wonderful and Greg.
- 9:51And by the way, I offend her all the time without even knowing,
- 9:55and I offend Greg literally every time I've ever been on any
- 9:59show. That's not true.
- 10:00I I've apologized to you, second most of anybody besides my wife,
- 10:06and we've known each other for two months.
- 10:08That's that's not true, first of all, but let's just keep moving
- 10:13forward the fact. I apologize to you often.
- 10:16You don't need to apologize to me often.
- 10:19You might apologize to me somewhat frequently, but you
- 10:21don't need to. You've never actually offended
- 10:25me. You've never actually, truly, I
- 10:27mean that you've never actually offended me.
- 10:30I'm a person who looks at somebody's heart and based on
- 10:33their heart is it? It tells you the intent of the
- 10:38person and that usually makes it clear on what the point of the
- 10:45conversation or statement was. I think you have a wonderful
- 10:49heart and I'm very happy to be associated with you.
- 10:54Now we you were starting to say something and I interrupted.
- 10:58It's probably gone. If it's not gone, go ahead.
- 11:01But do you remember what it was? But because we got a lot of
- 11:04stuff to talk. About let's talk.
- 11:06I know I literally have a list of like 50 things.
- 11:08I have a lot to talk about with. How?
- 11:10How long is this thing? That's first question.
- 11:13Well, they, you know, they say in the biz, you know, if you go
- 11:17too long then people won't listen.
- 11:20So generally speaking, like Mike and I on our podcast and I and I
- 11:26know you have a bone to pick with Mike and we can go there
- 11:29next if you'd like. But Mike and I try to target
- 11:32around 40 minutes. Once we get to about 45, it's
- 11:36like we need to like find the off ramp quick.
- 11:39So 35 to 45 minutes is sort of like the the goal for me
- 11:45whenever we do these things being twice a month, if we're a
- 11:49little bit on the long side, that's OK.
- 11:51This has been the fastest 12 minutes of my day.
- 11:56So hold your jokes, people. But that's that's that said,
- 12:04yeah. So that's where we're at.
- 12:06I'm used to five hours. I'm used to five hours on Sports
- 12:09Cars Live. So we're blowing it away.
- 12:13All right. I'm just warning you this
- 12:14episode is going longer than 40 minutes, so I apologize that our
- 12:18ratings are going to be lower. OK, That's OK.
- 12:21All right. Do you want to get into the mic
- 12:23situation? All right, first of all, I want
- 12:25to ask, I mean, what what's this that you're hiding about what's
- 12:28on this podcast network that listen, I watch everything you
- 12:32do. You know that I'm a huge fan.
- 12:33You're my friend and I'm a a fan of you this podcast network.
- 12:39It's you junk, junk wax Mike, right?
- 12:44And what else? And and what is it that you both
- 12:47have your own channels together? You're you're OK.
- 12:50OK. So the sports Card clubhouse was
- 12:54the creation of three of us. Myself, Junk Wax, Mike Adam,
- 12:59Splendid Sports. I like.
- 13:01Adam Adam does a show about once a month with Dylan Double D
- 13:06vintage baseball cards. Adam is also our tech guy and
- 13:10does our website which has a bunch of features on it.
- 13:13Sports Card clubhouse.com Mike and I do a once a week episode
- 13:20pretty much every week. This is going to run twice a
- 13:24month. Mike is going to start doing a
- 13:30twice a month show consistently. He has one guest for once a
- 13:36month and another guest for once a month.
- 13:39I believe that that is finalized, but I don't want to
- 13:43speak out of turn and say that he has landed a guest for sure.
- 13:48I'm almost positive that they're locked down and they're big time
- 13:53guests. OK, But I don't want to.
- 13:54I don't want to say something that I have to then retract.
- 13:57In addition to that, we have these extra innings episodes
- 14:02where Tony Southern Collector and Mike Petty, they do their
- 14:06odd couple episodes and they do like a 20 minute once a month.
- 14:10They do a 20 minute extra innings on the channel and then
- 14:14my buddy Jacob Wax pack Wisdom and Matt from Providence, they
- 14:18do an extra innings and they tend to do it more like two or
- 14:21three times a month. Those usually run on Thursdays.
- 14:25So at the moment, that's everything we have and we're
- 14:29always working on expanding. So I actually had a conversation
- 14:33today about expanding that. So that said, that's the network
- 14:37that'll answer the question. You answered it perfectly and
- 14:40it's very interesting with me with Junk Wax Mike.
- 14:43So let's talk about our buddy Mike.
- 14:47So I didn't know Mike before going to Strongsville, right?
- 14:51He seemed like a nice guy. I was excited to to meet him,
- 14:54just like I was excited to meet tons of other famous Youtubers
- 14:58across the nation. And I go to the show and I have
- 15:03like great conversations with Mike.
- 15:05You know, he's, he's my kind of person.
- 15:07You know, he, he has like a sarcastic sense of humor.
- 15:10He's self deprecating. He's funny.
- 15:13He's dry, like a dry wit, which I also love.
- 15:17Funny. Well, he was funny and then I
- 15:21felt like he kind of big timed me.
- 15:23Oh boy, here we go. We're getting into the juicy
- 15:27stuff. And I, I confronted Mike about
- 15:30this, by the way, so this isn't a secret to him.
- 15:32OK, I sent you a video. Do you have the video of?
- 15:37Course I have the video, I'm a professor.
- 15:39Let's play it first and then we're going to talk about what
- 15:42I'm talking about. Here we go.
- 15:43Here we go. Got this morning.
- 15:46I went to breakfast with a bunch of guys.
- 15:49I haven't seen the photo yet. I know Greg took a photo, but it
- 15:54was great. I mean, it was me, Greg, Theo,
- 15:57Darren, Mike Petty who paid for everybody, Mookie Chilson.
- 16:05There's a there's a bunch of people there.
- 16:08Perfect. That was the perfect thing to
- 16:10show right there. So it's a very interesting.
- 16:13Picture on the screen. If you're listening, I am
- 16:16showing the picture that Mike referenced of the group at
- 16:20breakfast. So I understand if I was on the
- 16:24other side of junk pack junk wax Hero, but I'm literally next to
- 16:31him, right? And it's interesting when he
- 16:34says that video, he pauses right after he like, starts naming
- 16:39every single person around, and he's literally naming every
- 16:43single person around him. He didn't name everybody.
- 16:47Well, he named 90% and I'm sitting next to him and by the
- 16:50way, we had two meals and I sat next to him both meals.
- 16:53OK, play, play. I need you to play it one more
- 16:55time. I want you to pay attention to
- 16:58as he's saying the names. He stops and this is what he
- 17:02does. He's thinking, should I say
- 17:04David? Should I say David?
- 17:06No, I'm saying I'm not going to say him on purpose.
- 17:10Watch again and and and think about.
- 17:11It I feel like I'm in the middle of something here, but let's go
- 17:14ahead and here we go. Got this morning, went to
- 17:17breakfast with a bunch of guys. I haven't seen the photo yet.
- 17:21I know Greg took a photo, but it was great.
- 17:25I mean, it was me, Greg, Theo, Darren, Mike Petty who paid for
- 17:30everybody, Mookie Chilson, There's a, there's a bunch of
- 17:37people there. Right before Mookie.
- 17:40Are you going to tell me he was not thinking about me right
- 17:42there? I don't.
- 17:44I don't know. But I do have the lunch picture
- 17:46too. Yeah.
- 17:47And where? Is he?
- 17:49Let's find him. At lunch he is right here, kind
- 17:55of diagonally across from you and directly across from Darren.
- 18:00We're at a four person table. It's myself, Mike Petty, Darren
- 18:07and him. OK, So all I'm saying is he big
- 18:13timed me a little bit in in that statement.
- 18:17I think, and I think that he's, it was very passive aggressive
- 18:21and I wanted to like him, but that's basically him sticking up
- 18:26his middle finger to me. Don't do it.
- 18:27Am I crazy to think this? Well, in fairness, in fairness,
- 18:31he did mention a few people. So he mentioned so Mike here
- 18:37mentioned Petty, Darren, Theo, Mookie and myself.
- 18:42But then there were three people that he left out, and the.
- 18:47Those people are opposite sides of the table.
- 18:49I'm next to him, am I crazy? I mean, I don't, I can't defend
- 18:56him right now. I mean, you basically have
- 19:00absolutely nailed him down. You think that a war is starting
- 19:05OK and. If if you don't sense the
- 19:08sarcasm from David, obviously there's a ton.
- 19:11There is no sarcasm as I'm saying this.
- 19:13There is a war that is starting. OK, And here's the situation how
- 19:19the the number one goal is this podcast needs to be the number
- 19:23one show on the channel, OK? And we need to make sure that
- 19:28junk wax OK his shows that he's on, we have to bring those down
- 19:33a little bit. I'm not saying not to watch them
- 19:35'cause I need Greg to make money off of this thing.
- 19:38Fine, Watch it once. Watch it.
- 19:41Once this show, when you finish it, you need to just keep
- 19:44pressing play over and over again.
- 19:46Put it on your iPad, put it on your thing, because we need to
- 19:48show him that this is the number one show and that he cannot big
- 19:52time. Sorry that I don't have a
- 19:54channel. All right, Junk wax Mike.
- 19:57All right. So I just want to put that out
- 20:00there that he's not forgiven and there's going to be a lot of
- 20:03apologizing before we're friends again.
- 20:07Well, unfortunately the beef continued today.
- 20:12The beef continued today and, and I'm going to have to take it
- 20:15into you and I have a little bit of a beef.
- 20:18We do. Yeah, we do.
- 20:20Because you posted a question on my channel for Q&A about Oreos
- 20:28and you said I think the regular Oreos are the way to go.
- 20:32I twist them off. I take the 1/2, I feed it to my
- 20:36dog where it should be disposed of.
- 20:38I then take another one. I take the half off.
- 20:40I put it together and I have two creams, 2 ends and it's perfect.
- 20:45And you said my wife feels that we should buy double stuff.
- 20:51So tell me what do you think? And and I did a whole episode on
- 20:56it now or not a whole episode. I did a whole segment on it you
- 21:02then it was. 80% of the episode, but yeah, keep going.
- 21:05You then left a comment that said I'm erasing this video from
- 21:12my feed to make sure my wife doesn't accidentally come across
- 21:16it. And then Mike chimes in and says
- 21:19I'm so disappointed in you David.
- 21:22Double stuff or GTFO mega stuff even I mean.
- 21:28So you can see that there's a lot of resentment coming from
- 21:31him, am I right? I mean, there's definitely
- 21:34resentment. And then there was another
- 21:36comment from someone named Eve Chase.
- 21:40Now Eve Chase left a comment and it said you squashed the Oreo
- 21:46argument. Greg spoken like the true genius
- 21:49that you are, someone named Eve Chase.
- 21:52Do you? Do you, David, know anybody
- 21:55named Eve Chase? I've I've never heard of that
- 21:58person in my entire life. I don't know what you're talking
- 22:00about. My wife had to make you listen.
- 22:05She loves to disagree with anything of my opinions.
- 22:08So I mean, this is her her. She's very excited when somebody
- 22:12takes her side over me. So all right, that's by the way.
- 22:16If you read the other 75 comments, 99% of those people
- 22:20are agreeing with me on that. And it's very interesting that
- 22:24you do these, you do these question and answers all the
- 22:27time. And you're so politically
- 22:29correct every single time. Well, before I give an answer, I
- 22:32want to just say that, but anybody can have their own
- 22:34opinion. Like you say that literally with
- 22:35every answer that you give. This one, you were like so
- 22:39aggressive and so sure of yourself.
- 22:42And I mean, what is it that you have against what I was saying?
- 22:47You just said you have a bone to pick with me.
- 22:48What's the bone you have to pick with me about?
- 22:50It's a terrible take that the regular stuff, the regular Oreos
- 22:57get rid of half, waste that half, throw it in the garbage,
- 23:02and then take another half and put them together when I even
- 23:06broke it down. Mathematically, this is just an
- 23:09absolute no brainer. Now, if you're tuning in and
- 23:13you've made it through 23 minutes, but some people
- 23:15probably haven't at this point because we haven't even
- 23:17mentioned cards. We haven't even.
- 23:20We haven't even talked about cards and I have I have a card
- 23:23question, specific card question, but I know you have
- 23:27some topics too. So I want to I, I told you I
- 23:29would give you the 1st card question if if you want to bring
- 23:32it up. Are we getting serious now, Huh?
- 23:35Well, I'm I'm just saying at some point the the people
- 23:39probably want to hear some card takes.
- 23:43They're already praying pressing play for their third time, like
- 23:46I, like your fans, are supposed to be doing right now to make
- 23:49sure to beat Mike. So all right, here's the card
- 23:52question that I thought of for us, Greg.
- 23:54Is there a part of the hobby that you feel like that you're,
- 23:59that you excel in, that's like a niche that you feel like that
- 24:02you have an advantage of over another kind of card collector
- 24:08and something that you feel like you need to improve upon that
- 24:11you need to work on within the hobby?
- 24:15OK, well I'm writing this down because it's a long question and
- 24:18I want to make sure that I answer it completely.
- 24:20Let's answer just the first part right?
- 24:22Just like what do you feel like you're you excel in and that
- 24:24you're better above than than many others?
- 24:27Well, I don't know if I'm better than other people, but I do
- 24:30think this, I, I think that because I have a relatively
- 24:35tight budget and people say you don't have a tight budget, you
- 24:38bought a $5000 card at Strongsville.
- 24:42I guess you could say that, but because I feel that compared to
- 24:48a lot of the people that I'm around my budget for what I'm
- 24:52trying to acquire, my budget is is fairly tight.
- 24:57And because of that, it has forced me to be patient.
- 25:02And I think one of the problems that a lot of us in the
- 25:05community have is we show up to a show with a list, we walk
- 25:09around the room once or twice. We go, well, that card's on the
- 25:12list. So I'm going to go buy that card
- 25:15because it's on the list. Even if you don't like that
- 25:18example of that card, I literally walked through the
- 25:24National for five hours in 2024 looking specifically for a
- 25:32certain Thai Cob card or a certain Cy Young card.
- 25:35I didn't find one that was the right one, so I just continued
- 25:39to pivot down the list of items. So I I feel like my strength is
- 25:46because I'm on a tight budget. I don't want to make mistakes
- 25:51because I don't want to make mistakes.
- 25:53I'm patient, even though in real life I'm a very impatient
- 25:58person, very impatient when it comes to financial things.
- 26:02I tend to be more patient. Like I started by retirement
- 26:05account young. I did a, a 15 year loan instead
- 26:09of a 30 because I was going to be broke for a while, but then
- 26:13eventually I would not have a house payment.
- 26:17You know, I, I do. I've done a lot of things
- 26:19financially that are patient and I'm putting off the good times
- 26:25and suffering now in the meantime.
- 26:27And so I think a lot of people struggle with that.
- 26:30I think people show up with cash and they feel like they have to
- 26:33spend it. And I, I try really hard not to
- 26:37do that. Of course I make mistakes, but I
- 26:40feel like because I'm willing to just go to the next card to the
- 26:44next card to the next card until I find the right example of one
- 26:47of the items. Then I feel, I feel like, I feel
- 26:51like every time you change, you lose.
- 26:54And so you don't want to change. It's like every time you buy a
- 26:58house and you sell the house, the realtor gets 5% and so
- 27:03you're losing 5%. So you got to you got to make up
- 27:06for that 5%. So instead just wait and get the
- 27:10right house. Again, we could get into a whole
- 27:12discussion about that, but I think one of my strengths is my
- 27:16patience and my pickiness. How about you?
- 27:20That's a good one. I, I have a question though,
- 27:21about, about what you were saying.
- 27:23I'm surprised you say that you're not a patient person in
- 27:26real life, because I would just when I think about you, I, I'm
- 27:33somebody that I think everybody can see is not patient, right?
- 27:35I have ADD I'm a I'm all over the place, right, But you're
- 27:38somebody that's very calculated and even though like the way
- 27:41that you speak and stuff and I feel like that's kind of a a
- 27:44patience is a lot of times a virtue of that and everything.
- 27:46So you really feel like, I mean, with your daughters and things
- 27:50like that, you feel like that you have not been a very patient
- 27:52person in general or just something you work on.
- 27:55What's that? I don't, I don't have great
- 27:58examples of my, my lack of patience in real life, but I'm,
- 28:04I'm definitely, I'm definitely impatient.
- 28:07And part of part of the result of that is I work really, really
- 28:12hard because I want to get things done.
- 28:13Like I'm a task oriented person. So I'm like, I've got to do this
- 28:18video today and I'm going to work really, really hard until
- 28:22it's done because I can't relax until it's done.
- 28:25So I can't do anything else. And then I got to do this and I
- 28:28got to focus on this. I got to take care of this and
- 28:30then I can worry about the next thing.
- 28:34You know, when it comes to like work, I'm very, very efficient.
- 28:39Like people say, how do you do all this stuff?
- 28:41Because I don't waste time because once I go, I am hit the
- 28:45ground running type of person. When I go through a show, I try
- 28:50to be very efficient. I try to be very, you know,
- 28:54dedicated mentally to what I'm doing.
- 28:57Sometimes, you know, if, if I've got distractions or if I have,
- 29:01you know, communications with people or I meet people,
- 29:04sometimes it throws me off a little bit and then I go, I go,
- 29:07OK, I got to get refocused, where was I?
- 29:09But I definitely think I'm, I'm not a patient.
- 29:13I'm not a patient person. And I'm definitely not a patient
- 29:18person and my family is always impressed with the patients.
- 29:22I've learned over the years because I'm married to my wife,
- 29:25who is one of those people who's like always late and she used to
- 29:29be like hour late to everything. She's now pretty good and only
- 29:3215 minutes late to everything, but still like it tests me all
- 29:36the time. And my family just laughs
- 29:37because we're like, we're so opposites, but we have the same
- 29:40ethics, but we just have a very different demeanor.
- 29:43OK. For me, the thing that I feel
- 29:46like that I, I'm pretty good at is I'm, I feel like I have a
- 29:53very good way of the cards that I'm looking for to figure out
- 29:58pricing. And I feel like I'm kind of like
- 30:01a ninja on figuring out what a price should be including on
- 30:06high. I appeal, which I think is very
- 30:08tough for some people to be able to figure out.
- 30:11And I have a dealer that kind of, we go back and forth all the
- 30:15time by my buddy John Irwin and he like we kind of go back and
- 30:19forth on like what we think values are of different things.
- 30:21And by the way, if you ever want to try to improve in pricing,
- 30:24that's a fun thing to do. It's kind of like a game that
- 30:26you can play where it's like cards that you like that are
- 30:28about to sell on eBay or something and just kind of
- 30:31figure out what you think the price is because there's such
- 30:33different pricing based on I appeal these days.
- 30:36And I know everyone thinks that I appeal is so crazy and how
- 30:39high it is and everything like that.
- 30:41I think in generalities, there's always exceptions to the rule
- 30:45that I can get pretty close to what I feel like the price is
- 30:48going to be, even in this crazy market where we're paying very,
- 30:51very high prices. Of course, like an iconic car
- 30:54with a gold sticker is going to go for a number that it's hard
- 30:57for me to figure out. But in general, like a nice
- 31:02version of a card that's on my radar, like a nice version of a
- 31:0549 Bowman Jackie at a certain grade, I can kind of see where
- 31:11that should the range of price that that should be.
- 31:15That is a really good skill to have.
- 31:19Having that ninja skill is a good skill to have.
- 31:23And I might I might utilize you at the national this year
- 31:29because it is it is hard to know what the I appeal movement is
- 31:34doing to like I have a lot of people that'll say to me like my
- 31:38dad, my dad, he buys a lot on eBay.
- 31:41He watch he watches a lot on eBay and he'll be like, man,
- 31:45this card is always 708 hundred dollars.
- 31:48What do you think I should bid? I'm like, well, that one, you
- 31:51know, or he'll see what one sells for and he'll go that sold
- 31:55for 950 bucks. The highest the one has ever
- 31:58gone before was 800 bucks like that's crazy.
- 32:02And it's like, is it or is it that that's really what the
- 32:08added I appeal is, is worth right now in the market?
- 32:11So not to say that my dad's wrong.
- 32:14I mean, a lot of us look at any industry, you know, whether it
- 32:18be a used car or a house or, or anything that we're buying and
- 32:22we go, man, that price. They, they usually sell for
- 32:25this. Why'd that one sell for so much
- 32:27more? Why'd that one sell for so much
- 32:29less? It should be in the range.
- 32:31Why did it go out of the range? I think a lot of us have that,
- 32:34so I think that's a good skill. Let me start with you then on
- 32:36the weakness like I. Want to, I want to just say one
- 32:39extra thing to that for people that are trying to figure out
- 32:42pricing, just a little trick to kind of do when you're looking
- 32:46at the price of your grade, look at the grades around it also,
- 32:51right? If you're looking at APSA 2 1/2,
- 32:55look at a 2, a three, the highest it's sold for the
- 32:59averages, those kind of things. And then do the same thing with
- 33:01SGCS because if you see that an SGC 2 1/2 has gone for more than
- 33:06APSA 2 1/2, then that's kind of an interesting thought because
- 33:10usually SGCS are lower, right? So that's why it's not just a
- 33:14very small thing that you're looking at.
- 33:16You have to look at the things around what you're looking at
- 33:18too, especially when you're buying like a big card or a gold
- 33:21card to be paying attention to. Sorry, go ahead.
- 33:23I, I think that's really good advice.
- 33:25I think that's really good advice.
- 33:26And I don't think that I do enough of that.
- 33:29I've probably. Can work on.
- 33:31Right. I've, I've overpaid for some
- 33:33cards before and I could specifically point to some of
- 33:37those cards. But then when you see the card,
- 33:40you go, well, did he overpay? So I'm not afraid to, you know,
- 33:46set a new comp. So what?
- 33:49You know, when you say that you ended up like coming to me after
- 33:53you already bought a card, and I'm, I'm not going to get into
- 33:56specific just because it's a but you, you bought a card that was
- 33:59very nice that you actually were wondering if you overpaid.
- 34:02And I was like, you did not overpay for that card.
- 34:05And I kind of like went, I, I showed you quick numbers about
- 34:08it and I was like, I'll buy that card from you for a profit right
- 34:11now if you want to sell it, right.
- 34:13So like, just because if you're going off of averages on I
- 34:18appeal, you're always going to be well off, right?
- 34:21That's just an easy way to kind of say it, no?
- 34:24What's your weakness? Like?
- 34:26Where? Where do you need to get better?
- 34:29Besides humility, I need to figure out oddball that's
- 34:40outside of the like four or five oddball sets that I enjoy.
- 34:44You know? I I, I know very well red
- 34:47hearts, dandies, if those are even considered Wilson Franks,
- 34:50right? I mean, I don't know if those
- 34:52are even oddballs because they're still like kind of
- 34:53mainstream and I love them. But like especially pre war man,
- 34:58this is another story. There's so many stories I want
- 34:59to be talking to you about. But like I went to Mike Petty's
- 35:01house last week and Oh my God, the Petty pad is what I call it.
- 35:06And it was to go through his collection is it is incredible.
- 35:12And just hearing him talk about each one and he always tries to
- 35:15talk down every card that he has, which is just hilarious.
- 35:17But like he has so many candy and ice cream and chocolate and
- 35:24caramel of kind of like pre war cards that are like black and
- 35:29white ones that I don't know anything about.
- 35:32But like they are so cool. A lot of them have low pop and
- 35:37they're just, I can see myself diving in deep into those kind
- 35:41of things and I really to be a more well-rounded collector.
- 35:46Even though those aren't my passion at the moment, I do I
- 35:51want to understand understand them and I feel like if the more
- 35:55I understand them, I'll probably grow to love them.
- 35:59Why do you think you haven't jumped in on that yet?
- 36:03Like why do you think you've resisted learning about those
- 36:06cards? Is it because you've been mostly
- 36:10a post war collector? Or is it because you're just
- 36:14like, there's too much? So I'm just going to kind of
- 36:17head in a different direction, Like what's the reason?
- 36:21I just don't really have passion towards them at this point.
- 36:23Yeah, you have to have passion towards what you're collecting.
- 36:26And the things that get my juices flowing are cards from
- 36:31the 40s and 50s. I mean, anything after like 1959
- 36:35also like it's has to be a pretty special card for me to be
- 36:39into. I, I, but I don't have rules,
- 36:42right? And I know that Jeremy Lee talks
- 36:44about, he has rules. He won't have a oversized card
- 36:47and he won't have an sticker autograph.
- 36:49I, I guess I, I thought at one point I, I had a rule where I
- 36:52didn't want cards before night after 1959, but then I fell down
- 36:55the rabbit hole of 67 Venezuelan Retron and that's like the
- 36:59coolest set of all time. And it's low pop.
- 37:03A lot of those cards are very affordable.
- 37:05They're all hall of farmers. Yes, they're not playing days,
- 37:07but they are just super cool. And I kind of feel like it's
- 37:10like a a little brother to the leaf set because they're also
- 37:13kind of like gangster ish where they're all a mess and they're
- 37:17cut wrong and they're probably not even like really made by
- 37:19tops, even though they say so. So, you know, I just have to
- 37:24really love what I'm buying, especially if you're buying a
- 37:28car that's more than a few $100. And you know, if I'm buying a
- 37:32Babe Ruth card, I, I, I don't have any of the Gaudi Babe Ruth
- 37:36cards. There's still so many cards I
- 37:37need that I love that I have a passion for that I feel like I
- 37:41kind of need before I dive into that version and I have a list
- 37:45of like 50 cards that I'm always kind of like, I'm so nerdy.
- 37:49I just like kind of like go into a, a list.
- 37:51I'm like, you know what? I now want this card on top of
- 37:53this one and I switch up my list all the time.
- 37:56And it's just those cards are what I'm concentrating in this
- 38:00moment in time. But I will expand it.
- 38:04Just I haven't done it yet. So I just don't have the passion
- 38:06for it. I think I, I wrote to you one
- 38:08time and then you might have even said this on one of your
- 38:09question answers. Like I kind of feel like those
- 38:11cards are very like antiquey. It's kind of like my
- 38:15grandparents kind of cards. I know that that's weird because
- 38:18it really 1950s cards are my grandparents cards too, but they
- 38:23just seem like it's a different generation and they they're a
- 38:26little bit far removed from me. And I just don't, you know, I
- 38:29didn't hear tons of stories about Ty Cobb and Walter Johnson
- 38:35and Christy Matthewson. And I know that they're all
- 38:37amazing people and I know that they have crazy stats.
- 38:40I just I don't have the the connection towards them.
- 38:45Yeah, you, you did mention that in a comment one time.
- 38:48For me, it's, it's silly where I'm at, but I'm struggling with
- 38:56the SGC thing and I'm struggling with the mixed collection of
- 39:03some PSA, some SGC like it. It drives me insane to not have
- 39:12the same cases like it. It drives me insane and I don't
- 39:17want it to drive me insane because oh, I mean like I went
- 39:21through Tim Paine's cases at the Strongsville show and I'd say
- 39:248590% of his cards were in SGC holders.
- 39:29I I bought a card at the Strongsville show and an SGC
- 39:33holder. I bought 3 cards at the
- 39:35Strongsville show and an SGC holder.
- 39:37But certain cards I'll buy in an SGC holder.
- 39:42The pirate cards, I bought 2 pirate cards there.
- 39:44They were an SGC holder. And I bought a, you know, turn
- 39:47of the century Thomas Edison card that was in an SGC holder.
- 39:52That's fine. But when I'm looking at baseball
- 39:55cards, I prefer the PSA holder. And I don't like mixing.
- 40:02I don't want to have my 'cause I.
- 40:06I the way I store my cards is I put them in chronological order.
- 40:11I don't put them with players, I put them by year.
- 40:14And I don't want to have AT2O6 in a SGC holder and then APSA
- 40:21holder card and then an SGC and then another SGC and then a
- 40:25couple of PSA and then a CGC and then A, and people go, you just
- 40:29need to get over it. Like I can't, I can't get over
- 40:34it. I can't just ignore that.
- 40:36And what it does is it's limiting.
- 40:38It limits me when I go. And, and where I'm at right now
- 40:43is specifically with big baseball and football cards
- 40:49specifically, I would prefer I, I strongly prefer them in APSA
- 40:56holder. I know it's by the card, not the
- 40:59grade, by the card, not the holder.
- 41:03But when I opened up my case of my museum, my museum, I want it
- 41:11to look like a museum. And in a museum, things aren't
- 41:15aren't cock eyed and things aren't, you know, not dusted and
- 41:20things are straight. They're orderly.
- 41:22It's all lined up. It looks good.
- 41:25Like not just the cards look good, but the way that they sit
- 41:30looks good and it, it feels like, it feels like a mess.
- 41:37So I have two cases. They're like knock off Zion
- 41:41cases because I don't, I, you know, it's like the Amazon Zion
- 41:44case and one has my SGC cards and one has my PSA cards.
- 41:49They, I have, I have one that is only for PSA and one that is
- 41:53only for SGC. So someone will go though, I'll
- 41:57be look showing that my cards and and they'll be like, well,
- 42:00you know, I thought you had AI thought you had a, you know,
- 42:04Walter Johnson. I go, I do.
- 42:05That's in the other case, because that's an STC holder.
- 42:10I don't like that. I don't want it to be that way.
- 42:15It sucks, but I'm a lunatic and and that and you say about
- 42:21yourself that you're a lunatic in ways.
- 42:23I say it about, you know, I am in ways that's an area that I'm
- 42:27weak and I wish that I could just not care.
- 42:31I wish I could just get over it, you know, cuz someone will say
- 42:34in the comments, you just need to learn to get over it and buy
- 42:36the card that you like. Don't worry about what the case
- 42:39is. I can't, I can't.
- 42:42Like I, I, I like, I literally can't.
- 42:46And that is limiting for me, and it sucks and I don't want it to
- 42:50be that way, but that's how I am.
- 42:53So do you think that there's a chance that PSA will to
- 43:00streamline their process if they keep SGC alive to make it the
- 43:06PSA case that just looks like the the the PSA case that looks
- 43:11like SGC like that will fit one after the other.
- 43:14Do you think that there's a chance that they will eventually
- 43:16be able to be stackable? About a month after, not even 2
- 43:21weeks after PSA bought us, GCI made some bold predictions in a
- 43:28conversation with another YouTube on the channel.
- 43:32And I don't remember if it is his channel or mine.
- 43:34And it was with Mike Moynihan. I don't remember if it was on
- 43:40his channel or my channel, but I said they have to do this.
- 43:46They have to make it uniform. I mean, remember back in the day
- 43:51when cell phones had 30 different charging things and
- 43:55you'd go into Verizon or wherever and they would, they
- 43:59would be like testing the phone and they're like, wait, which
- 44:01one is it? And all that one's got, I mean,
- 44:03literally there's like 30 and now there's like 2 and, and it's
- 44:08like, that was insane. And now it's normal.
- 44:13It's like, could you imagine if every house had different plugs
- 44:16or different size light? I mean, it's, it's insanity.
- 44:19It, it has to be streamlined. If, if you and, and I know what
- 44:24that people would say is they would fight back.
- 44:26And they say, well, one of the things people like about SGC is
- 44:28they like the slab or one of the things they like about Beckett
- 44:31is the slab. I understand that.
- 44:34And I, I, I do understand that if you start, if you changed it
- 44:40starting now, then it's different from the people who
- 44:45wanted to stay with SGC. There's got to be some
- 44:50something. And, and I think, you know, I
- 44:55think that if they were to do something along the lines of old
- 45:00slab, new slab, you have these two options or something.
- 45:02Do you want the PSA nesting one or the SGC nesting 1?
- 45:07But it really sucks. But, and by the way, I agree
- 45:13with you and I stack, I stack them together by year and I do
- 45:16have PSASGC and it bugs me too. So I totally get that craziness.
- 45:21But do you think that you'd be OK with mixing them together
- 45:26because they do look very different.
- 45:28If they were stackable, do you think that you would then would
- 45:31you still be in segregation or would you would you have
- 45:36inclusion with both of them together?
- 45:39It would be a compromise, it would be, it would not be
- 45:43perfect, but it'd be better than what I have now.
- 45:47So I could still keep them separate in the same looking
- 45:50slab, but I think that I would put them all in the same case.
- 45:56It's just in, it's insane to me that we are living in a world
- 46:02where one company owns the biggest 3 and those 3 slabs and
- 46:10the grading standards aren't uniformed with each other.
- 46:13It, it's, it's, it's absolutely insane that there hasn't been
- 46:18some form of uniformity. And I understand they think
- 46:21that's probably a part of their differentiation.
- 46:24You know, PSA would say we have the sleekest slabs, we have the
- 46:27most durable slabs, and SGC would say we've got the tuck
- 46:30slab where the card pops. And you know, Becky would say we
- 46:33have the thickest slab, which is most protective slab.
- 46:36They, they would use it that way, but I hate it and I'm not
- 46:42expecting them to change it for me.
- 46:44I'm finding a way to make do with the way that it is, but it
- 46:48limits what I can buy because I'm a lunatic.
- 46:53And by the way, I agree with you the most because I love 48 Leaf.
- 46:59It is my passion more than anything that's set.
- 47:02And one of the things I love to do is I love to buy kind of
- 47:05different color variations. And it is super annoying to me
- 47:10when I have like 2 of the same card but one of them has a
- 47:13different color background than the other.
- 47:16And one's an STC and one's PSA would look so much cooler if
- 47:19they were the same ones. And almost all of them have one
- 47:23versus the other. And it always bugs me too but
- 47:25I'm not going to like re slab it and risk it it.
- 47:28Feels like they could take the flip that exists and put it in
- 47:33the other slab. Totally.
- 47:36I mean, if I had an SGC flip in APSA slab so that the card sat
- 47:43together nicely, what's the problem with that?
- 47:48You've got the technology, you've got the slabbing machines
- 47:51for each. The other issue that I'm having
- 47:54right now with SGC is I can't re hold her a card unless I mail
- 47:59it. And SGC said after the National
- 48:03last year there you have no plans on attending a show in
- 48:06person again and they haven't been at a show in person again.
- 48:10And I just got 2 super rare high grade cards at the National of
- 48:14these pirate cards. I don't want to mail them.
- 48:18I my dad has a really nice 56 tops mantle in an old SGC holder
- 48:24and he just wants it in a new slab.
- 48:26He doesn't want to mail it. And I had a friend the other day
- 48:29that said, dude, the loss rate stolen rate of of the US Postal
- 48:36Service is like point OO 1% like get over it.
- 48:39And I'm like, I just don't, I don't trust it.
- 48:44I don't expense. And I want to be able to go to
- 48:47the National and I want to have a collector's universe grading
- 48:53company. I want to be able to hand them
- 48:55the card, pay them their outrageous fee, and hand me the
- 48:59card back the next day in a new slab like I want.
- 49:04I feel like I should be able to do that.
- 49:07And if they can't do it or are unwilling to do it, it's telling
- 49:11me that Collector's Universe is unwilling to provide that
- 49:15service for me from that brand. And that tells me what they
- 49:19think of that brand. And it tells me that it's not
- 49:24the brand that they want me to use.
- 49:27And that bugs me when I then have $5000 to buy a card and I
- 49:34have I say, well, collector's universe clearly doesn't want me
- 49:40using this company anymore, but I'm going to spend $5000 on a
- 49:44card that is in encased in that company's holder and with their
- 49:49grade. When the the parent company who
- 49:52has money falling out of their ears is unwilling to let me get
- 49:58a card and and re slab it at a show like the National, they
- 50:04don't even want me using them clearly.
- 50:09It's a it's a great point that you're saying.
- 50:11I feel the same way. I literally just sent in like 3
- 50:16cards that I've loved that I've always wanted to have re slab
- 50:19because of that same situation. But I only sent it because I
- 50:23literally reached out to SGC and I asked them is there any chance
- 50:28you're going to be at the National this year?
- 50:30And they responded, no, they're not going to be, which is
- 50:33absolutely crazy because even the grading company you've never
- 50:39heard of is doing, is taking submissions at the national
- 50:44literally, you know, MBA, I think is doing on site grading,
- 50:47not stickering on site, on site grading at the National, right.
- 50:52And so does CGC. Literally every company is doing
- 50:55that. And for them to not be able to
- 50:57allow you to drop off a card is crazy.
- 51:00And for them to not have any kind of booth at Strongsville
- 51:05when the boutique is vintage is crazy too.
- 51:10PSA get it together. And if you're keeping SGC
- 51:13around, which we're all hoping you do, show us.
- 51:18Show us that you care even this much.
- 51:20They are showing you, David, they are showing you what they
- 51:24think. By not showing up to any place
- 51:28for me to even hand the cards over for them, to drive them
- 51:32back and then mail them to me. By not even setting up a
- 51:36receiving booth at the at the National or at Strongsville.
- 51:41They are telling you, they're telling you exactly how much
- 51:46they value that label. They are speaking loud and
- 51:50clear, but a lot of us just don't want to hear it.
- 51:54But they're telling you something.
- 51:56They are absolutely telling us, all of us, something.
- 52:00So that would mean the same thing as what we were talking
- 52:03about. Like I think this is more like a
- 52:05year ago that we thought that they could be going away.
- 52:08And then they, you know, they're pretending that they're hiring
- 52:09more people even though it's a complete joke.
- 52:11They're grading the amount of time that it takes them.
- 52:14So the way that you're saying this say it so you think that
- 52:18SGC will not be around much longer is that I mean that's
- 52:21what you're that's what you're beating around the Bush saying,
- 52:24right, If there's. Somebody that I'm dating and I
- 52:27want to break up with them, but I don't want to be the one that
- 52:30breaks up with them. What I'm going to do is just not
- 52:34be that nice. I'm not going to call very
- 52:37often. I'm going to take a long time to
- 52:39return the call. I'm always going to be busy and
- 52:42can't hang out until the person eventually goes.
- 52:46This person sucks and then they move on and then I didn't have
- 52:49to break up with them. Well, guess what?
- 52:52We keep calling and they're not answering.
- 52:54They're always busy on Friday and Saturday night and whenever
- 52:58we hang out, they look like they just rolled out of bed and they
- 53:01didn't get dolled up like they used to.
- 53:04That's what they're doing. So I don't think that they're,
- 53:09it's imminent that they're going to shut them down.
- 53:12But what they're doing is they're trying to make them so
- 53:16unattractive to us that we just go, I'm not dealing with this
- 53:21anymore. It's a 50 business day turn
- 53:24around. It's a 50 business day turn
- 53:28around right now and they've got fewer submissions than they've
- 53:32had in like 7 years, yet it's 50 day turn around.
- 53:38Why is it slower than it's ever been?
- 53:41When they are slower than they've ever been, it's because
- 53:46they want us to go away. But PSA is also at a crazy turn
- 53:54around right now too, right? They're at.
- 53:58Man, I wish I didn't throw my phone.
- 54:00You told me that it was ringing, so I threw it on the other side.
- 54:02I need to show you what I have, a submission with PSA.
- 54:05But I understand what you're saying.
- 54:07They are making them very unattractive.
- 54:09But are you? I just want you to say it, but
- 54:11you're beating around the Bush saying it because they're trying
- 54:14to make it where we're going to be.
- 54:15OK. If they go away, will they go
- 54:18away eventually? What is I want?
- 54:20Eventually, eventually, eventually I, I'm being, I'm
- 54:24being honest and we've got to wrap this up because we don't
- 54:27want to go over an hour, but hear me out.
- 54:30I, I don't think they are going to pull the RIP cord completely
- 54:38in the near future. I think that they want to say we
- 54:44had to pull the RIP cord because you all stop submitting.
- 54:50And in order to get us to turn our backs on them, they have to
- 54:57do what they're doing to us right now for a while.
- 55:00They're not returning our calls. They look like crap when we go
- 55:04out on dates and they're always busy for the next little while.
- 55:09It's going to take a while from being in love with someone to
- 55:13hating them. It's going to take a while.
- 55:17And we're in the middle of that process.
- 55:19We're in the middle of the breakup period and eventually
- 55:24they're going to say we had to pull the ripcord.
- 55:27It was, it was losing money, it was hemorrhaging money, so we
- 55:32didn't want to do it. We really valued it, but things
- 55:36just got to where we had to. And it's going to be a, it's
- 55:40going to be, remember Last National?
- 55:42They were still accepting submissions and had a pretty big
- 55:45booth. They were just not very busy.
- 55:48It's going to be a little bit longer.
- 55:52Will they? Eventually?
- 55:53I think eventually. But in the meantime, they're
- 55:56trying to get us to break up with them.
- 56:00Your final thoughts on our first episode of Midlife Card Chase?
- 56:06Give them. I had a good time.
- 56:07I think this is going to be fun. I just, I'll be very
- 56:12disappointed if any of Junk Wax Mike's podcast get more views
- 56:17than ours and it's going to very, it's going to hurt me
- 56:20deeply if that happens. So please, OK, watch us multiple
- 56:24times just whenever you're bored, when you're watching TV,
- 56:26just press play on your phone over and over again to make us
- 56:29feel better about ourselves. And Mike, just know that this
- 56:37isn't over. This is the beginning of of a
- 56:40war between this and the little podcast that you're doing that
- 56:44we're not allowed to announce the names of, even though Greg
- 56:47knows the names but isn't going to say it.
- 56:51All right, this was fun. If you made it through our first
- 56:5325 minutes of being silly and got to the card stuff.
- 56:58I promise there will be more card stuff in the future, but
- 57:02we're also still going to be silly because we like having fun
- 57:04and we like joking around with each other too.
- 57:06So we'll be both. This was.
- 57:09Great. Are you going to sing us out?
- 57:11You got it buddy. So you're done with that.
- 57:14All right. By the way, so my mind has
- 57:17family work cards and then songs from when I was a kid.
- 57:24And these songs are playing in my mind 24 hours a day.
- 57:27So I'm. I'm a psychopath.
- 57:31So these are the kind of things that happened to me.
- 57:33So I'm going to give you one of the songs that are in my mind,
- 57:3524 hours away a day to be able to sign us out.
- 57:38We ready? Yeah.
- 57:40Go. You know, parents aren't the
- 57:42same. No matter time, no place, they
- 57:44don't understand. Us kids are going to make some
- 57:46mistake. So do you.
- 57:47All the kids all across the land.
- 57:49Take it from me, parents just don't understand.
