- 0:48Speaker 3: We had one of the worst handshakes in the history
- 0:50Speaker 3: of man. I came in for a brother sort of
- 0:54Speaker 3: a shake I saw, and then he came in straight,
- 0:57Speaker 3: and then he went to change. We got caught in
- 0:59Speaker 3: betwixt them between and then for the entirety of the
- 1:02Speaker 3: rest of the time, I know, both of us, we're
- 1:04Speaker 3: thinking about it. A bad handshake is kind of like
- 1:07Speaker 3: bad sex. Hard thing to forget. It's hard thing to
- 1:11Speaker 3: forget about, and it's not great to start a relationship with.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yes, and it's and it's also like a misjudged cass
- 1:19Speaker 2: you know what I mean, Where you go and you go, oh,
- 1:21Speaker 2: they are we doing Oh and you sort of bump
- 1:25Speaker 2: heads together.
- 1:26Speaker 3: For your cheek and you put your tongue down. You're
- 1:31Speaker 3: a shocking Bursard Pegs.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Yeah, he's a great good Did you like how my
- 1:38Speaker 4: one question was about whether or not he's playing an
- 1:40Speaker 4: older Johnny Cage in that.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Move? Yeah, Ed, I was actually thinking to myself for
- 1:48Speaker 3: that was the one brief moment where the thought of
- 1:50Speaker 3: that handshake went out of my head. Oh my god,
- 1:55Speaker 3: Pugs has done something even worse.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Just as some question your old Johnny Cage.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Yeah it was good, a great career.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Yeah, ship he has and huge respect to guys like him.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Born Ultimatum he did, or Born Identity one of the
- 2:12Speaker 3: Bourne movies. Yeah, it's one of that hit Me and
- 2:15Speaker 3: Chasing Down Matthew matt Damon Matthew Daimon as I call him. Yeh, Yeah,
- 2:21Speaker 3: he's done some cool ship. I'll be honest with you.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I'd like to see him do some more drama. Absolutely
- 2:28Speaker 3: good actor.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a really good actor.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Out of the Blue is very Have you seen that?
- 2:32Speaker 5: I love that?
- 2:33Speaker 3: Yeah, he's great. That's the Oh yeah, yeah, great film,
- 2:39Speaker 3: though not as depressing as you'd think. Uh.
- 2:43Speaker 2: One of my very Good Mates is the star of that?
- 2:46Speaker 2: Oh yes, Maddie and what's that Sunderland.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a great He's a very very very good actor.
- 2:53Speaker 2: He's an excellent actor, and he's always, always, ever since
- 2:57Speaker 2: I've known him, just had an intensity about it.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Nice. There's some people that are like that, you know,
- 3:04Speaker 3: in different kinds of ways. One is you get a
- 3:06Speaker 3: chemeratune on you and they're just so even been looking
- 3:08Speaker 3: on screen than they own real life. Yes, But another
- 3:11Speaker 3: one where you can have that intensity and you just think,
- 3:13Speaker 3: man if I had that, you know, where there's so
- 3:16Speaker 3: much of the work has done. Not that Met's not
- 3:18Speaker 3: his great actor as well as yes, but fuck would
- 3:21Speaker 3: be such a treat to hear something like that. I
- 3:24Speaker 3: remember one actor who I mean, I've got big ears
- 3:27Speaker 3: and a massive honker but outside of that, yes, bulging
- 3:31Speaker 3: eyes obviously massive head.
- 3:34Speaker 2: You know, the actor Sarah Wiseman. Sarah, and she does
- 3:38Speaker 2: a lot of work in Australia. Now, she's one of
- 3:40Speaker 2: those actors. I mean, she's beautiful in real life, but
- 3:43Speaker 2: when she's on screen, the screen just kind of Yeah. People,
- 3:49Speaker 2: some people just have that because you're.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Saying in real life.
- 3:52Speaker 2: No, no, I wasn't. She's a very lovely persons, a
- 3:58Speaker 2: lovely human, very and done very well over nas.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Very very well. Do I resent it? Not at all.
- 4:05Speaker 3: I think I was up for any of those roles.
- 4:07Speaker 2: No, well, to be far, they were probably female.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Right job of them given half a chance. That's the thing, paging,
- 4:16Speaker 3: you don't know this man when it comes to the
- 4:19Speaker 3: acting shirt. It's all politics, mate.
- 4:21Speaker 5: That's exactly why I didn't ask many questions in that
- 4:23Speaker 5: whole thing.
- 4:23Speaker 4: I feel like you guys obviously have extensive acting knowledge
- 4:27Speaker 4: and a lot of the questions.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Except for that one question you asked. Yeah, I think.
- 4:35Speaker 4: If I just finished one point, but I feel like
- 4:41Speaker 4: sorry about this.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Cal The Whole Big.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Show week days from four on Radio Hiarchy The wy
- 4:51Speaker 2: Big Show Podcast.
- 4:52Speaker 4: No, I just feel like you guys had You guys
- 4:54Speaker 4: had the knowledge to exchange with him about that industry,
- 4:57Speaker 4: and I didn't have it. Is I need to get
- 4:59Speaker 4: more confident with interviewing. But I also just the direction
- 5:02Speaker 4: that it was going my place.
- 5:05Speaker 2: But in fearness, Pugs, I was asking him a question
- 5:08Speaker 2: and then I head halfway through the question, no idea
- 5:10Speaker 2: what I was talking about, which very really happens to
- 5:12Speaker 2: me generally speaking. But I certainly just went I don't
- 5:16Speaker 2: even know what the question is that as you you
- 5:18Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 5:19Speaker 3: But there is there is like the heaps of stuff
- 5:21Speaker 3: you want to know the answer to, but you can't
- 5:24Speaker 3: even you can't ask about it because it's like I
- 5:26Speaker 3: like the it's the biggest prick because some shocking bursts. Yea, yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 3: you know that you've worked with shock and Burstard's the
- 5:34Speaker 3: worst person you've I've got one, actually, I've got one,
- 5:38Speaker 3: very well known, very well known person funk with off here.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Yeah, can you tell me how we blip it as
- 5:45Speaker 4: Jason Hoyt.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sure you beat that.
- 5:51Speaker 4: I don't want to marry He's a shocking piece of ship.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Actually, I've never really worked with anyone that was an
- 6:00Speaker 2: out and out dickhead. I've worked with people who have
- 6:06Speaker 2: felt and this is more a reflection on me than them.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Probably we're way too earnest and serious about it all.
- 6:16Speaker 2: You know, where it's the art and it's the craft,
- 6:18Speaker 2: and it's all very precious and I get it, but
- 6:23Speaker 2: sometimes I think people can be over the top with
- 6:25Speaker 2: that element of it.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Spent dedicated time satirizing those kinds of people and hear.
- 6:33Speaker 1: So.
- 6:34Speaker 2: But I've seen a few tantrums, definitely. I've seen tantrums
- 6:40Speaker 2: and hungry.
- 6:41Speaker 3: You know what. I've been on set for two hours
- 6:45Speaker 3: and they put me in this pigeon out that was
- 6:50Speaker 3: fucking funny and broken Wood. Actually it's coming soon. I
- 6:56Speaker 3: think they're going again as well.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yes they are, I think. But it was the final
- 7:00Speaker 2: episode of the series, so it wouldn't have played it anyway.
- 7:03Speaker 2: But yeah, people fucking cracked up about me having to
- 7:06Speaker 2: wear pigeon because it was steamy as fucking that. It
- 7:11Speaker 2: was so good, especially when you're in like like an
- 7:14Speaker 2: interview room getting interviewed and it's like a little box
- 7:19Speaker 2: with heaps of people in there.
- 7:21Speaker 3: You just steam.
- 7:22Speaker 5: Can you contextualize the pigeon outfit?
- 7:25Speaker 2: It's basically just a massive, fat pigeon.
- 7:27Speaker 5: Yeah, but why were you wearing it?
- 7:29Speaker 2: Oh? It was part of the proma of my new
- 7:32Speaker 2: business with the pigeon Broken And I think, I'll.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Tell you what. If I was on that show and
- 7:41Speaker 3: I'm a producer, I'm just thinking, what can we get?
- 7:46Speaker 5: That's what they do here?
- 7:48Speaker 2: I do. I did wonder if there was an element
- 7:51Speaker 2: of that because the people were pissing themselves, just going, yeah, boy.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Every time there's any kind of cost that comes into
- 8:00Speaker 4: this office, Kate the lovely Lady in the opposite, her
- 8:03Speaker 4: first thought is can we get Jason can.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Mask? Yeah, it's like the whole costume, Kate fucking what.
- 8:13Speaker 2: It was really interesting because on and it was just
- 8:16Speaker 2: quite an insight actually on Broken Wood in the last season,
- 8:21Speaker 2: there was a bit of a technical malfunction. Let's leave
- 8:26Speaker 2: it at that, and and so we had to reshoot
- 8:30Speaker 2: some stuff and apparently everyone was terrified of talking to
- 8:34Speaker 2: me about it. And I think it was because, funnily enough,
- 8:39Speaker 2: it was me and my pigeons the interview, and I
- 8:45Speaker 2: was like, and people were going and saying to the
- 8:47Speaker 2: person who had to talk to me about it, good luck.
- 8:51Speaker 5: And.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I think he was, ah, fuck, But I was fine,
- 8:57Speaker 2: that's all good. It was a little bit that it was.
- 9:01Speaker 2: That's all good man, that's but actually what was most
- 9:05Speaker 2: annoying about it was that it was a very dense
- 9:09Speaker 2: dialogue scene and like like five sex pages of dialogue.
- 9:14Speaker 2: So that was I don't know about how it is
- 9:17Speaker 2: for you, Magie. Once I've done the scene at Tins,
- 9:20Speaker 2: it kind of slips out of your brain. Before you
- 9:24Speaker 2: do it, it's there, but once you've done it, you
- 9:26Speaker 2: kind of go okay, don't.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Believe and you let it go.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like storage on your computer.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I remember the time you and he was there. No keysy.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Today Fellas has gone away to play golf. God fuck?
- 9:42Speaker 2: Should you even be allowed to day off of that money?
- 9:45Speaker 3: Isn't it? You can do it if you like. It's crazy, man,
- 9:48Speaker 3: I need to tighten up around the leaves that we're
- 9:51Speaker 3: getting here because it's bullshit recking.
- 9:55Speaker 5: Especially with Jason.
- 9:56Speaker 3: He's out of control.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Brother Dish, listen to the Big Show for to seven weekdays.
- 10:04Speaker 5: I'm ready a hold achy m hmm
