- 0:10Speaker 1: of Sir Bors. When Sir Bors left Camelot on his quest,
- 0:15Speaker 1: he met a holy man riding on an ass and
- 0:18Speaker 1: sir Bors saluted him Anon. The good Man knew him
- 0:22Speaker 1: to be one of the knights who were in quest
- 0:24Speaker 1: of the Holy Grail. What are you, said he, and
- 0:27Speaker 1: sir Bors answered, I am a knight that fain would
- 0:30Speaker 1: be counseled in the quest of the Grail, for he
- 0:33Speaker 1: shall have much earthly worship that brings it to an end.
- 0:37Speaker 1: That is true, said the good Man, for he will
- 0:39Speaker 1: be the best knight in the world. But know well
- 0:42Speaker 1: that there shall none attain it but by holiness and
- 0:45Speaker 1: by confession of sin. So they rode together till they
- 0:49Speaker 1: came to the hermitage, and the good Man led Sir
- 0:52Speaker 1: Bors into the chapel, where he made confession of his sins,
- 0:56Speaker 1: and they ate bread and drank water together. Now, said
- 1:00Speaker 1: the hermit, I pray you that you eat none other
- 1:03Speaker 1: till you sit at the table where the Holy Grail
- 1:05Speaker 1: shall be. Sir answered sir Bors, I agree there too,
- 1:09Speaker 1: But how know you that I shall sit there? That know,
- 1:13Speaker 1: I said the Holy Man. But there will be but
- 1:16Speaker 1: few of your fellows with you. Also, instead of a shirt,
- 1:20Speaker 1: you shall wear this garment until you have achieved your quest.
- 1:23Speaker 1: And Sir Bors took off his clothes and put on
- 1:26Speaker 1: instead a scarlet coat. Then the good Man questioned him
- 1:30Speaker 1: and marveled to find him pure in life, and he
- 1:34Speaker 1: armed him and bade him go. After this, sir Bors
- 1:38Speaker 1: rode through many lands and had many adventures, and was
- 1:41Speaker 1: often sore tempted, but remembered the words of the Holy Man,
- 1:45Speaker 1: and kept his life clean of wrong. And once he had,
- 1:49Speaker 1: by mischance almost slain his own brother, but a voice cried, flee, bores,
- 1:54Speaker 1: and touch him not, And he hearkened and stayed his hand.
- 1:58Speaker 1: And there fell between them them a fiery cloud, which
- 2:01Speaker 1: burned up both their shiels, and they too fell to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the earth in a great swoon. But when they awakened
- 2:08Speaker 1: out of it, Boor saw that his brother had no harm.
- 2:12Speaker 1: With that, the voice spoke to him, saying, Boors, go
- 2:15Speaker 1: hence and bear your brother fellowship no longer, but take
- 2:19Speaker 1: your way to the sea, where Sir Percival abides till
- 2:22Speaker 1: you come. Then Sir Bors prayed his brother to forgive
- 2:26Speaker 1: him all he had unknowingly done, and rode straight to
- 2:29Speaker 1: the sea. On the shore he found a vessel covered
- 2:33Speaker 1: with white samite. And as soon as he stepped in
- 2:35Speaker 1: the vessel, it set sail so fast it might have
- 2:38Speaker 1: been flying. And Sir Bors lay down and slept till
- 2:42Speaker 1: it was day. When he waked, he saw a knight
- 2:45Speaker 1: lying in the midst of the ship, all armed save
- 2:48Speaker 1: for his helm. And he knew him for Sir Percivale,
- 2:51Speaker 1: and welcomed him with great joy. And they told each
- 2:54Speaker 1: other of their adventures and their temptations, and had great
- 2:58Speaker 1: happiness in each other's company. We lack nothing but Galahad,
- 3:02Speaker 1: the good Knight, Sir Percivale said, end of Part two,
