Rhonda and I first entered Hot Springs Village in September 2018. Months earlier, we booked a place on Lake DeSoto. We only knew the place was gated and had big trees, hills, and plenty of trails. Having never been before, we had no idea about the place. For us, it was a surrogate for some of our favorite Ozark locations, but the drive was a couple of hours shorter from Dallas/Ft. Worth.
