- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to pick up
- 0:06where we left off with the Bill Gates testimony to Congress.
- 0:12Question okay, finally I'll introduce minority exhibit. Oh. Question, could
- 0:17you please identify the individuals in this photo for me? Answer? Yeah,
- 0:22So the person on the left is me, The person
- 0:24in the middle is Eva Dubin. The person on the
- 0:27right is some friend of Eva Dubin's who I was
- 0:29introduced to, but I don't remember her name. Question Okay,
- 0:33I'll represent that that is Carinia Shuliac. That was Epstein's
- 0:37girlfriend at the time. Was this the occasion that you
- 0:41mentioned earlier when miss Dubin came to meet you after
- 0:43a meeting? Answer? Yes, this is, we believe, Gates says
- 0:49in August of twenty Is that right? August twentieth, twenty eleven,
- 0:52twenty twelve. Sorry, question this is at the four Seasons?
- 0:56Is that correct? Gates? Yes, I believe so. Question and
- 1:00was this gets cut off by Gates after a meeting
- 1:04that they did not attend? Question? Was the meeting just
- 1:07doing mister Epstein? Answer? No, I think doctor Nikolaich was there. Question,
- 1:11was this the only time that you met Miss Dubin? Answer? No,
- 1:14Miss Dubin. You know she and her husband Glenn are
- 1:17a member of the Giving Pledge. You know they have
- 1:19a property in North Salem that's near where my daughter
- 1:22has a property. I've met Eva Dubin at events several times,
- 1:26including I already mentioned she came by after the January
- 1:29thirty first, twenty eleven, the first dinner I had with
- 1:32mister Epstein. Question were those two occasions that you were
- 1:35with miss Dubin and mister Epstein together? Answer? That's right.
- 1:39Question okay, answer and that was the only time that
- 1:42I saw in his presence? Question okay? And did you
- 1:45ever meet this other woman, Miss Shuliac Ever? Again, was
- 1:49this the only time? Answer? I don't believe so. Question Okay,
- 1:52that's all redacted. We're gonna have some members ask some questions,
- 1:56but before we do, the members who have just entered
- 1:59the room for the time, can you please identify yourselves
- 2:02for the record. James Walkinshaw, Virginia, eleventh District, Maxwell Frost, Florida,
- 2:08ten Wesley Bell Missouri Walkinshaw, mister Gates, thank you for
- 2:13being here, and I just want to start by thanking
- 2:15you for your philanthropic work and your work on global health,
- 2:19which is saved countless lives. I want to go back.
- 2:22I know there's been some conversation about Melanie Walker and
- 2:25earlier I know the exhibit A was introduced the article
- 2:28published in the Wall Street Journal on June seventh, titled
- 2:31The Hidden Figure with Close Ties to Bill Gates and
- 2:34Jeffrey Epstein, and on the bottom of page four of
- 2:38that article, it reads, Walker has told several people she
- 2:41met Epstein and Trump at the Plaza Hotel in the
- 2:44early nineteen ninety nine. Got it okay? Gates? Yeah, Walkinshaw
- 2:49in the early nineties after graduating with honors from the
- 2:51University of Texas. In a twenty eighteen email introducing a
- 2:55neurosurgeon to Epstein, she wrote, I've known Jeffrey twenty eight
- 2:59years and this isn't a joke. Donald Trump introduced us.
- 3:03Did Miss Walker ever discuss with you her connection to
- 3:06Donald Trump? Gates? No, Walkinshaw. Did you ever have any
- 3:10awareness that Epstein and Miss Walker were introduced to each
- 3:13other by Donald Trump? Had you ever heard that before
- 3:16you saw the article? Gates? I have not question, okay.
- 3:20The article also referenced that miss Walker had her possession
- 3:24potentially embarrassing blue dress emails. On page nine, it describes
- 3:27the back and forth between Walker and Epstein, apparently I
- 3:31think referring to you in September of twenty seventeen, the
- 3:35article reads again, on page nine, Walker provided an inventory
- 3:39of her ammunition. Yes, I have a blue dress email
- 3:43and a few other embarrassing things, and yes, the stories
- 3:45are so early similar to all in media that he
- 3:49sounds Weinstein like. I can't be the only one. Mister Gates.
- 3:54Do you know what the blue dress email that Miss
- 3:55Walker is referring to? Do you have any sense of
- 3:58what it is? What they are? Are? Gates? I think
- 4:01I said earlier the blue dress could be a reference
- 4:04to Monica Lewinsky, But I don't know what a blue
- 4:06dress email would be Walkinshaw. Okay, And in your opinion,
- 4:11why do you think miss Walker would have shared potentially
- 4:14these emails if they exist with mister Epstein? Gates, you know,
- 4:18I don't have an explanation for that she was in
- 4:20touch with them and saying what she said. I had
- 4:24a cordial, friendly relationship with doctor Walker both before and
- 4:27after the time of any of these communications, Walkinshaw, Okay,
- 4:31any sense that it may have been part of the
- 4:32Epstein effort to generate leverage or potentially blackmail you perhaps, Gates,
- 4:37it's possible that Epstein encouraged doctor Walker to send these
- 4:40emails to him as some part of a possible future
- 4:43either blackmail or attempt to reestablish a relationship with me.
- 4:47Remember this is over three years after I completely cut
- 4:50off the relationship, and you know, it would be consistent
- 4:53with sort of the strange way he was willing to
- 4:55use some truthful things and some lies to try to
- 4:58develop pressure. But I was never made aware of these exchanges,
- 5:02and I was not in contact with Epstein in any way,
- 5:05and all of my conversations with doctor Walker were friendly
- 5:08in nature towards each other. You know, she left the foundation,
- 5:11but I continued to talk to or through twenty twenty. Walkinshaw.
- 5:15Based on what you know, having maybe reviewed what's in
- 5:19the files or some of what's in the files and
- 5:21the reporting around, you know, Epstein's effort perhaps to use
- 5:24payments he made to gain leverage over you to achieve
- 5:28the goal perhaps he wanted to achieve. How would you
- 5:31describe in your opinion was he working towards an attempt
- 5:34to blackmail you, based on the evidence that we have
- 5:37and what you know and your own knowledge of them
- 5:40and how he operated, would you use that term, Gates? No,
- 5:43he never sent anything that I would call blackmail. As
- 5:46I've said, he made veiled references to things like we
- 5:49should all want to be friends. Now that I see
- 5:51the January release of documents, it appears that in many cases,
- 5:55at least in emails to himself, was sort of rehearsing
- 5:58how either he or he coaching someone might choose to
- 6:01blackmail me. But none of those messages wherever sent to me.
- 6:05You know, I never paid Jeffrey Epstein anything, and so
- 6:07it's a bit speculation, but the different things are quite consistent.
- 6:11That he would encourage others to try to give him
- 6:13leverage over me, but then that never came to pass. Lockinshaw, okay,
- 6:18because one of the things that I wrestle with, And
- 6:20it's not a question for you. But in July of
- 6:22twenty twenty, the Department of Justice issued an unsigned memo
- 6:26in which they said that they had no evidence of
- 6:28Epstein blackmailing anyone, and certainly true based on what we know,
- 6:32he wasn't able to blackmail you, But I think that
- 6:35what we have from the files and reporting seems to
- 6:38suggest he was working towards that or hoping to work
- 6:41towards that. Gates, he never blackmailed me, but looking at
- 6:45the emails, it raises the serious possibility and probability that
- 6:49he was contemplating blackmailing me. Lockinshaw, Yeah, thank you, That's
- 6:53all I have, mister Frost, Thank you. Mister Gates. Why
- 6:57did you choose Jeffrey Epstein specific to help with your philanthropy? Gates?
- 7:03I didn't really choose him. He's the only one who
- 7:05ever came to me and said that he could raise
- 7:07billions or tens of billions of dollars for global health.
- 7:10And that was credible to me because as I approach
- 7:13people directly about their giving, generally, you know they're not
- 7:16in the position where they think through retirement, you know
- 7:19who's going to do giving what they want to give
- 7:21to their children. And the key time when people think
- 7:24that through is when they're doing their will. You know
- 7:27how much goes to the children. And then for people
- 7:29who are very rich, hopefully they think of a large
- 7:32sum being available for philanthropy. And it was because of
- 7:37his purported relationship with billionaires, or he was part of
- 7:39that tax and Will discussion that it seemed credible to
- 7:44me that he might be able to raise or be
- 7:46a referral to help raise billions of dollars for a
- 7:49global health question. So when you say that he came
- 7:52to you, did he come to you directly or did
- 7:54he connect with you through somebody else? Gates, I met
- 7:57him after doctor Nikolch had met him, and so I
- 8:00meet him on January thirty first, twenty eleven, and when
- 8:04I have a series of meetings with them through twenty fourteen. Frost.
- 8:08Michael Wolf alleges that Jeffrey Epstein advised you on expansion
- 8:12and restructuring of the Gates Foundation. Did Epstein ever advise
- 8:16you on the Gates Foundation? Gates never, Frost. There's a
- 8:20Forbes article published on April eight, twenty twenty six, that
- 8:23titled quote what we know about Bill Gates connection to
- 8:26Jeffrey Epstein as billionaire prepares to testify end quote, and
- 8:32it states quote Wolf alleged that Epstein had been advising
- 8:35Gates on vast expansion and restructuring of the Gates Foundation,
- 8:39with Epstein proposing a way to leverage the Gates Foundation
- 8:42resources to accommodate many other fortunes from other billionaires. So
- 8:47are you saying that article's false? Gates completely false. Epstein
- 8:51never mentioned to me the organization of the Gates Foundation.
- 8:54It's not something he would have had knowledge of, so
- 8:57it wouldn't have made any sense. Frost. Between twenty thirteen
- 9:01and twenty nineteen, the Gates Foundation was provided eight million
- 9:05in grants to the International Peace Institute. Was Epstein involved
- 9:09in those funds at all? Gates The only connection between
- 9:12Epstein and that grantee, who did very important work for
- 9:15us in polio eradication campaign was that I was in
- 9:18Strausburg and Epstein was there at the same time. On
- 9:21that day, the chairman of IPI made a presentation to me,
- 9:25we can pull up what day it is, And it
- 9:27was subsequent to that day that the Polio team investigated
- 9:30whether IPI could provide valuable help the as Strausberg March
- 9:34twenty seventh, twenty thirteen, and the Foundation developed a relationship
- 9:39working with IPI that extended until I think it's ongoing
- 9:42as far as I know, and that work has been helpful.
- 9:46But other than that one time, I wasn't aware of
- 9:48Epstein having any connection. Now that we see the emails
- 9:51that have come out, Epstein was exchanging emails with the
- 9:54chairman of IPI on a number of occasions, but I
- 9:57wasn't aware of any connection to Epstein other than that
- 9:59first introduction mister Frost. Vanity Fair reported that IPI staff
- 10:05included Epstein on updates about his work with the Gates Foundation,
- 10:08including intelligence about Pakistani Taliban polio outbreaks and the existence
- 10:13of chemical weapons in Syria. Why was Epstein privy to
- 10:17that information Gates really doesn't make sense to me. But
- 10:21the Chairman of IPI, Terry Rod Larson, forwarded a number
- 10:24of emails to Epstein. I only know that now because
- 10:27we see that in the January release of emails. And
- 10:30you know, the doing polio eradication in Pakistan and Afghanistan
- 10:33is very complex. IPI as some very good people who
- 10:37helped us there, and Epstein would have had no expertise
- 10:40in that, so I don't understand why the Chairman of
- 10:42IPI have forwarded those emails. Mister Frost. Thank you, all right, folks,
- 10:48We're going to wrap up right here and in the
- 10:49next episode, dealing with the topic We're going to pick
- 10:51up where we left off. All the information that goes
- 10:55with this episode can be found in the description box.
