We've talked so much work, you and I have not talked about anything else. Danielle: No, it's so true. Right now I feel like work is a little crazy. So it's been taking up all of our brains and we need to step away and figure out what's going on in each other's lives. But you know, me, the biggest thing that happened to me this week is not the kids. It's the fact that I took a thirty six hour trip to Toronto to go see my seven boyfriends. It was great. Catie: You're yeah. which, you know, good for you. Good for getting out. Danielle: Yeah, it was it was awesome. Catie: I don't have I no longer have any stones I can throw at you because I have tickets to another Jonas Brothers concert. Danielle: Yeah, I feel like all the judgment that you threw my way and all the shade for my my lifestyle quote unquote is now being thrown back at you with your Joe Bros obsession. So welcome. Catie: You just are traveling further to see them than I Danielle: Yes. Catie: am. and yours is a little less mainstream. I feel like the Jonas brothers are pretty mainstream. Danielle: I mean, I don't know though. Like, I feel like K-pop is pretty mainstream. And actually, I have to like, if you're watching this, my favorite freebie, I'm gonna show it to you because if you're in the marketing world, the BTS crowd like makes this crazy stuff. Like they do freebies and you will get there early and they give you all this stuff. So this is my little V. So those of you who actually care. But this is Katie, it's a tiny baby CD keychain. And it actually opens and there's a mini CD in it. But when you start Put it to your phone, it opens, it's got an NFC tag in it, and each one is coded with its own custom song. Okay? So I'm obsessed with this freebie. My cousin got one, different CD inside, different song. I'm like, the creativity of people out there is just unbelievable. So to the girl who gave me my little baby CD, like I wanna Catie: Amazing. Danielle: make these for swag. Catie: No, that's a very good idea. Those are very cute, for them. Danielle: Like instead of business card too, like or whatever, like be different. Catie: Give a little CD of like your favorite like mixtape. Burn a CD and put it in there. I burned a CD for you. Hilarious. Danielle: Yeah, how cute is that? Yeah, my millennial soul is like on fire right now. I love it. Catie: so what's up with the kids? How's school going? You're on your third week and we've yet to even start. Danielle: I know. Well I'm on my third week, you guys have two weeks left. It blows my mind. Catie: I'm like, can we get to the finish line? Can school finally start, please? Danielle: We've we've started I got my first two emails for Spirit Weeks, which and I have my first early release day tomorrow. So that's how far in we're in. So Catie: Okay, so I saw a post that was like someone dressed up like Miss Rachel and was like, let's do the math. Mommy has 14 PTO days. How many days off are there of school? Let's count. And it's like, did I send it to you? Okay, I did. I was dying. I was Danielle: You sent it to me and I haven't watched it yet. I didn't watch I saw I saw the Miss Rachel and I just haven't clicked it yet. Catie: dying laughing. it looks like mommy will have to take unpaid dates off. Danielle: No, but for real. Like, thank God I have like after school care for Colton and my mom takes Daisy because I would have to take a bajillion days off. But Catie: Days off, yeah. Danielle: yeah, school's going great. Daisy actually is obsessed with school. The big thing is I think Daisy's naughty. They like she gets prizes Catie: Good. Mm-hmm. Danielle: for being a good girl, but I heard she keeps telling me she has to go in the corner. Like in the other day, it was Johnny like tackled her and it was his fault, but they both had to go to the corner. So I've been told that she hangs out with the boys. And that she is sassy. So no like reports home bad, but I have a feeling that my second child is a true second child, where my first child is was crying last night because he watched a video on YouTube at someone else's house, where the person held their pee, their bladder exploded, and then they died after 11 days. So I had to deal with that emotional disaster last night. So two very different situations going on. The update on Love Island Elementary School edition is that. Colton's best friend broke up with the girl because he does not want to violate bro quote and he keeps telling everyone he can that I love Colton more. I love Colton more and I choose him. How cute is that? Catie: I I'm part of the bro code. That's great that he's got some good friends. Girls will Danielle: Like like wha how lucky am I to that? Catie: come and go, but your friends are forever. Danielle: friends forever, forever, man. Like I love it. So that's like the big thing. But you went to orientation and bus practice. Catie: my gosh. Danielle: Tell us about it. Catie: Yeah. So like if your kids a s you know, I I feel like a lot of people don't do the bus anymore, but where I am, I assure you, even if you have a negative opinion, we are in a very safe area and there are not the horror stories of buses happening on our bus. Danielle: Yeah, definitely not. Catie: So we did kindergarten like kindergartners get a bus orientation if they're gonna be a bus rider. they recommend every Kid do it, whether they are riding the bus or not, so they know. And these bus drivers were amazing, but it was a one-hour bus orientation. Danielle: I cannot. Katie and I were supposed have a meeting and she's like, hey, I gotta take it from the car because the bus orientation is over an hour long. What? Catie: I'm at bus we take all of us in and like shout out to my school district. They've got this little remote control like bus that is like three feet tall. It rolls around, it looks like a short bus and it like talks and its name is Spencer and it gave the all the rules of bus. Danielle: That's adorable. Are you kidding me? Catie: it was very cool. The kids were like all staring, like, my god, what is this? So that was cool. Then they got to like go on the bus with mom and dad. Then they got to like go through all the emergency exits. Jack had a little bit of a hard Danielle: It is so cool. Catie: time of mommy and daddy not being part of the emergency exit portion of the of the trip. And then they actually they ended with a school bus ride. So just the kids went and didn't Jack sit next to the bus aid because and he had two of his friends there too. Like I Danielle: He is gonna be such a like type A firstborn child. Catie: So he's really excited of the fact that how they work our buses, the kindergartners all sit up front together. They are not intermingled with the rest of the kids. So Danielle: That's smart. I I love that. Catie: the kindergartners have assigned seats. Everyone else sits in the back for Danielle: Okay. Catie: however they want. some of the buses I guess have full assigned seating, but so the good thing is is that he will know some of the kids that are in our neighborhood that Do that, he will likely be sitting next to one of them on the bus. So he's excited with that. Jack knew how to buckle his seatbelt. It's not mandatory to wear seat belts, but Jack knew how to buckle his in because he's Yeah. Danielle: He will be wearing one. It's like Colton. That's Colton, man. Catie: Him and Colton will be in their things and Daisy and Cal will be back with the fifth graders standing on standing on. Danielle: In the back of the bus mooning the people behind them, like a hundred percent. A hundred percent. Catie: causing trouble. But yeah, I'm excited. Cal's gonna start like official school this year too, like nursery school, pre-K. So I'm very excited to see if he's gonna be a naughty kid too. Cause he's in like a true like terror stage right now of like he's screaming all the time. He doesn't sit Danielle: Really? Catie: he doesn't sit still. Like Nana got here this morning and he's like screw like just he's so loud and excited and like I'm like, my gosh, you are finally talking. Jack hasn't let you talk for three years and you're finally getting to speak. Danielle: That's what it is, right? Catie: so he's just been like so chaotic and like needs to be doing something all the time. And the no nap is like, this is aggressive. Danielle: The no nap really changes things. And like when school starts, they'll go at the same time, right? Your boys will go at the same time. No? So Daisy and Colton don't either. Catie: No, Kelvin's only a couple of days. Danielle: So like Daisy now wakes up at the same time as Colton. So before I had like this like hour where I could do something, whatever that was, maybe like do my hair, anything. But now She wakes up at the same time and it does change like their sleep schedules. Like she's crazy. And then she wants to shower with me. So like I haven't had a shower alone in like a million years. It's a great time. It's a great time. Have bio. Catie: Yeah, it is a great time. I will say, we had a I it was happening during an important meeting that we had yesterday. Jack is officially allergic to the mosquitoes. it's Danielle: He's got Skeeter syndrome. Him and Colton is so sad. Catie: there's they're so helpless. It blew up so bad. We neither of us even took a picture of it. But like I don't know if anyone's kids has ever gotten that. Like you get a mosquito bite and like Jack has just been so susceptible to them and I'm putting bug spray on and like trying my best. But it's like every I'm scared to take him outside now. He it's literally it looks like his little leg is like ballooned. Danielle: It turns into cellulitis. Like it literally does. And there was a time I didn't think this was a real thing. So I'm educating you again, in case we haven't talked about this on the podcast, but I feel like we have because Colton went through this too, where it was like they always blew up, but then one day the whole leg and the foot, he couldn't put a shoe on. Same thing. We took him to the doctor and they told us it was skeeter syndrome. And then I went home and a friend of ours was like, Yeah, my son has skeeter syndrome. Like, this can't be real. Then I looked it up. It's literally skeet. Jack has Skeeter syndrome. They get a bite and I get nervous, like, because they don't give you an epi pen or anything for it. They're like, it's fine. But what if they get like bit on their neck or something? We've tried the stickers, the bands, the spray, of at this point, a bubble. Like we need to put them in a bubble. So if anybody has a suggestion, Catie: I know. Yeah. I don't I don't know. But I you know I bought everything. You know I Danielle: please, because it's still happening to Colton Katie. He just had, we were outside, all the other kids were fine. He had bites all over him and he had to take a shower sobbing because they all blew up. Catie: Yeah, the it's it's crazy 'cause now, yeah, I bought all the creams to put on it. Luckily I had stuff left over from Danielle: And this happened yesterday, guys. This like you were very chill though. I was very proud of you. You were very calm. Catie: I was just like, I don't have the capac you how like sometimes you're doing stuff and you're like, I don't even have the space for this to come into my brain. Danielle: Yeah. Catie: and I just, you know, I Ryan Danielle: There's Catie: had pulled me out of the meeting, like we were in a meeting, and he's like, Can you just look at this quick before we leave? Because he was supposed to play golf yesterday afternoon and he still doesn't think I'm sorry. So Ryan, I'm bringing it up on the podcast. I'm obviously sorry that you had to miss golf. But I didn't mean you had to go to the doctor right this second. I meant that we could go later. But I also didn't Danielle: Yeah. Catie: know what was wrong. And I'm having a huge meeting. Like I had three seconds to decide. Like I just said, yeah, it looks like a doctor should go. Like should look at it. Danielle: You did the right thing. It doesn't feel Ryan, it doesn't hurt less that you couldn't golf, but you guys did the right thing. Like that's part of parenting. I literally had Catie: no, he you know Ryan, he was like, Yeah, I'm taking like he's the he know he wouldn't have been able to enjoy golf either, knowing that that yeah, it w it was fine. Danielle: Yeah, he needed he was gonna do it right then. Nope. Nope. It's just like it's hard. And this is like the reality of like parenting and usually moms. Like there's a lot going on. You would normally be like, I'll go. Like, guys, I have to go, like, whatever. But sometimes Catie: Yeah. Yes. Yes. Danielle: you just can't do it. And then we feel the guilt. It's insane because you're feeling guilty for and this is not a dig on. the the guys at all. This is more just mom problems. Like you're feeling guilty that you had a mandatory meeting at work, that Ryan was technically available, that he had to go. So now you're feeling bad that you didn't do it because you wanted to go with Jack. You feel bad that Ryan did it because now he can't golf. Like the guilt is so stupid. Like they like why? Catie: It is. So I have another question and I I feel like a lot of people do this. Do you and you're very close with I mean, your mom is their mom, Danielle: Yes. Catie: right? Do you let her take them to the doctor? Danielle: I do. not to like like the annuals, I make sure I can be there. The like the ones that are predetermined, but if the baby is sick and like I can't go, I'd rather them go. So I have them it started like when I first started doing it, I would have them call me when the doctor came in. So I'd be on speaker phone, but now I just give an Catie: Sure, that's good. Okay. Danielle: a list of notes. Like here are the notes. If you don't Catie: Maybe. Danielle: have the answer to something. Just let me know. But there the reason I got more comfortable with it is honestly because I was travel when I was traveling, things would happen and I would have to send them. And I almost Catie: You had to. Yeah. Danielle: like, no offense, Jordan, much love. But like I almost feel more confident sending my mom because she's with Daisy during the day than I Catie: Yeah, yeah. Danielle: do Jordan for some of those things. Cause he'll be like, I don't know. Yes. Catie: Moms typically have a better knack for asking more questions. Like sometimes like it honestly, Ryan's really good about it. Like he asks all the questions. Like he has no he doesn't hold back ever. But I know Danielle: But Ryan's a teacher. Catie: and sometimes I think I ask less questions than he would, but like that's you know Danielle: Jordan asks like the questions that like I Catie: Nothing, I'm sure. Danielle: told him he had to ask sometimes. But he's like a great, he's great about going and like he has no issues. Like, so I Catie: of course. Yeah, yeah. Danielle: can't complain. But then I'll be what did they do? Even with Jordan's own appointments at the doctor, I'll be like, what did they say about this? And he'll Catie: What did they tell you? Danielle: be like, I didn't ask. I'm like, it's your appointment. Like, why didn't you ask? What is wrong with you? And then he goes down this like Chat GPT hole and he's diagnosed himself with seven forms of cancer. And he's dying in four days. He could have just asked the doctor and they wouldn't be like, dude, that's like normal. Like, let it go. No. We Catie: You're good. We're all good. Danielle: had to rabbit hole. Catie: Yes. It's Yeah, the doctors is a funny, funny thing. We've spent a lot of time here, unfortunately, this summer. And I'm like, what is Danielle: I feel like you we all have but you two. Catie: going on? We're gonna be two weeks in. But yeah, I'm really excited for Jack to start kindergarten. Like I think he's gonna really like thrive so long as I can get him on the bus. I'm gonna have to pick I'm Danielle: You'll get him on the bus. Catie: gonna have to pick him up and carry him and seat him and buckle him down and run. Danielle: No, like that does happen though. Colden's never been like that. Daisy last year, like I'm telling you, like that kid cried every day. So the you remember the last day of school. But you Yeah, Catie: But she was little, like two three years old. Danielle: but that those times change. Like the each kid is different, you know, like in what they Catie: Yeah. Danielle: what they do. And I just feel like he'll get just look at how much more comfortable. Yes. He had to sit next to the aide. But then the next time he could sit in the front row with a buddy. Like he will get more accustomed to it. We We have to push through it because it hurts us to know that they're like afraid. Catie: I cry instantly, so I have to figure it out. But yeah, we'll get his bus stop soon and that may be a plus is that because where we live, he might have to we might not get on at our driveway. Like we might have to go to the neighbors. Danielle: Okay. How cute. I've like we've never done that because we're walk like Colton will our kids will walk. But I don't Catie: I know. Yeah. Danielle: feel comfortable. That's the other thing, okay? This is a question based on this, like walking. So all the kids in my neighborhood walk. Colton is technically old enough to walk in second grade. I don't trust my kid walking like home from school. I just don't I wanna give him the grace like to do it and like the ability to be but like he can't go to the bathroom by himself sometimes. Like, so why like I'm gonna let him walk through the neighborhood with cars and like scooters. Like I don't feel like it's time. He's seven. Catie: I know. I know. This is the difference of like this generation now. Like I I wouldn't either like I just wouldn't I don't let them go to the end of the driveway. Danielle: My mom wouldn't have let me either though. My mom didn't let me either. So I think there's a little bit of residual like trauma in Catie: Sure, sure. Danielle: my brain. Like my mom grew up in the time of the alphabet killers and her name was Cheryl Simonetti with an S, S S. So she was convinced she was gonna like be taken. We had a lot of rules. I mean, Catie: Yeah. Danielle: I have a tattoo on my body of the light post between me and my best friend's house that we lived on the same street, that until we were twelve, we had to meet at the light post because our parents Catie: Yeah. So that yeah. No, I think it's you know, we'll see see where it evolves to, but it's crazy and I feel like we're almost there. I did also you joked about Spirit Week. I also got Spirit Week list and school hasn't even started yet. Danielle: Well, I mean, okay, that's crazy, but also like kind of nice because like it gives you like your your personality. That's Katie, picture day is while I'm fucking traveling for work again. Do you remember what happened last picture day? Do you remember that my mom Catie: Hilarious. Danielle: put Colton in the outfit the day before? And then I said, Mom, that was his picture outfit. Make sure you put him in a good outfit tomorrow, and they sent him in the NASCAR sweatshirt. Catie: Holy. I mean, it really all truly doesn't matter, which is like the important part, but it's just so but it's just so frustrating when you like I already have their picture day outfits picked out. I don't even know when the picture day is. Are so Danielle: That's new. Catie: this is the second week of school is a is a spirit week. Danielle: Yeah, that's so we're having Spirit Week the same I feel like it's the same. Like well mine's next week. Catie: It's aggressive. Is there like a thing? no, this is the third week of school that starts the Danielle: Okay. Catie: the twenty first, third week. Danielle: And they're like different. Daisy, they made her first one really easy. Catie: It's red, white, and blue. Danielle: Next week is all like the each day's a color. So I'm just gonna like, that's easy. I can deal. Coltons Catie: Mm. Okay, that's easy. Easy. Danielle: will be like crazy stuff and I'll have to get costumes made because even though I'm a type C mom, those are the things I'm type A about. Like, do you know what I mean? Like I want him to be like feel cool and like excited. Catie: Right. Right. yeah, these ones are like I think the other thing that I learned from last year of not even full school, but he was in this school, so like it's the same school as the UPK, which is great. there are so many pajama days and I don't know what Colton wears to bed, but like my kids want to wear what daddy wears to bed. So like Danielle: Yep. Colton refuses. He does not okay. I have something to give get you. Okay, I'm gonna get it for you. But I need to know which one the kids like. My friend did this for me and it saved my my life. They have these like blankies that like they're sweater b like sweatshirts. So they have like arms and like but they look like a blanket. It's like a pajama, but you put Catie: Okay. Danielle: it over your like regular clothes or your pajamas because Colton refuses to do Pajamas. Like he made me give them all to his cousin, like, won't wear them anymore. And for all of our pajama days, like after kindergarten, honestly, I ended up putting Catie: What do you Danielle: this on him. His is a Pikachu because he likes Pokemon. But based on what Catie: Okay. Danielle: the kids like, like they have Paw Patrol, they have Spidey, they have like you get that one and Catie: Okay, okay. I like that. So I went Danielle: they wear it every time. Catie: I went in the direction of like I bought them two pairs of pajama pants each that I can just mix with any t-shirt or top Danielle: Yeah. Catie: that will go with it. So I did get Jack like Bill's themed Danielle: You Catie: pajama pants, but I was so unprepared last year because I'm like, this kid is wearing like briefs to bed and Danielle: Yes. Catie: a t shirt if I'm lucky. Like they wanna be like dad. Like Danielle: Yeah. Catie: And Danielle: My kids want to wear like my t shirts to bed. Like my concert tees Catie: Yeah. Yeah. Danielle: or like whatever they are. But yeah, I usu I my girlfriend got that for me a few years ago because her son like wore it all the time. Catie: So smart. Danielle: And I've I'm on my second one now, but they it is so helpful because it does make them feel cozy and jammy ish without being in jams. Catie: But like, yes. Danielle: Yeah. Catie: Yeah. We have that. We have a nine seventies day, athlete day, stars and stripes day, and spirit. Seventies day. Mm-hmm. Danielle: Seventies day for real. Catie: Back in time Tuesday. Danielle: Like this is where it's like, dude, k Daisy had a fifties day and I went out and I bought her like a poodle skirt online. Like I got the whole thing because I couldn't not do it. And that's where it's like, where does our money go? It goes to Spirit Week. It goes to Fugglers and like dumb toys and like I I don't know. Like it's just insane. It's absolutely insane. Catie: Yeah. It it has. but yeah, I think I'm excited for school to start. Like I'm ready for that. And I hate wishing it away. We have a couple fun plans for the last like two weeks. Some are Danielle: What do Catie: some adult plans only and some with kids. Danielle: Nice. Catie: We're taking them to Seabreeze, which is like our six mini, mini six flags here. for anyone that's not in Rochester. Danielle: Jack Rabbit is the oldest roller coaster, like or first or second oldest roller coaster in America. Yeah. It's not called treasure. Catie: Something like that, right? And I hate rides. This is a freaking nightmare. I was hoping we could talk into going to the baseball game instead. but we have an annual, we have another group, one of the boys that Jack and they grew up at Veronica's together, our babysitters Danielle: Wow. Catie: together. So they our they every year it's been like our end of summer, we'll go to go there. but well, and I say every summer we did it last year, and we're like, we're gonna do this every year. It is now. And Danielle: It it's a tradition now, right? Who cares? It's a tradition now. Catie: so we have that. We're gonna go. me and Ryan are going on a little weekend trip over Labor Day. So that'll be fun. And then it'll be back to school. I think Danielle: That's i I mean it is go it goes so, so so fast. I I don't know. Catie: I do feel really bad because so with Ryan being a teacher, he misses a lot of the stuff. So like his first day is Tuesday the eighth. Jack's is Wednesday the ninth. And he's like, I really wanna like get Jack on the bus, but he has to be at work at eight. And he's like, I can't take like an hour off on the second day at school. Danielle: Second day of school. Catie: Like, so what do I do? So he might just like sneak in late to school and like see Jack on the bus for the first day. But it's hard 'cause you like it's hard for anyone, right? Like that you if you have to be at work. Danielle: It's like it that is so hard. Like, and that's a lot of parents. And that's why like our district, it doesn't help teachers though, made it like our school starts so early here. And it's because like it and that would have helped him because Colton has to be at school by seven fifteen. You know what I mean? So he's on the like the bus would come for my friend's kids at six thirty. So Catie: Right. Danielle: it does help, but your school starts later. So that you know, it's a lot, but I feel like There's you and I have been talking about this so much lately. I feel like what are the most important things? Like, what are the non-negotiables? What are the things? And I talk about Catie: Yeah. Danielle: this with my other friends. Like, one of my girlfriends has to miss, and she listens, so she'll know I'm talking about her. Hey, girl. she has to miss her daughter's first fun run, which doesn't seem like a big deal to people who don't know, but it is a big deal. Like you make signs Catie: Okay. Danielle: and you cheer for them, and it's like, it's heartbreaking. But like you could miss that, or you could miss. Her dance recital or her this, like it doesn't matter because their dance recital's on a weeknight, which is crazy. But it's one of those things where Catie: No, it's so Danielle: it's just nuts. Catie: so true. You have to pick and choose and you don't want to, especially if you're in situation where you don't have to and you could make everything work. It's still you still can't. And especially when you have multiple kids, then it becomes Danielle: That's improved. Catie: like there's other stuff that you have to do and like you know, it it's just it gets difficult. And that's why I don't know how you all out there have three plus kids. How you can schedule that. Danielle: Guys, Daisy is like really wanting a baby, which I can't have a I can have a baby. Like, well, daddy's fixed. Daddy's fixed. I tell them, Daddy, Daddy can't have babies anymore. But I don't say he's fixed. Catie: Our kids keep talking about it too. What is it? And I can't like ma, we can't have kids anymore. Do you really? We haven't said that yet. Danielle: I'm just like, we can't. We're done. But then I in Catie: Yeah. Danielle: my head, I'm like, well, depending. Catie: Mommy c mommy could grow another baby. Danielle: If the right man came along, aka a k pop boy, came along and wanted to give me another baby, like, would I say no? Sorry, Jordan. I would say no, I promise. But like I wanted another baby, so I don't feel guilty saying it out loud. But at the same time, now that I'm 40, some of my friends are still having kids, like, so it's not that out of character. Catie: Yeah. Right. Danielle: And I have the two, like, I'm like, I'm good. I'm good. This is great. But Daisy, now it's it's pumpkin spice season, which we didn't talk about, but which means in my house it's how it's your it's Halloween season for both of us. You're doing spooky walks already. Daisy Catie: You know that we have some things out, yes. Danielle: has a new baby. It's a pink skeleton. She was $7. But she's the baby Catie: Nice. Danielle: of our other skelet. She did this, made this all up in her head. This has nothing to do with me. Like she's a baby and Daisy's teaching her to walk and she has her own family. But today I have to pick her up from school, she said, because the baby needs her. And she's in the backseat. We drove to school holding hands with the baby skeleton today. So it's officially like we're back to emotional Catie: It's that. Danielle: support skeleton time. Catie: Yeah, I'm finding that Jack and Calvin are like playing a lot like their imaginative play has been accelerated over the last like month and a half. They like to play like and it's coming mostly from Jack. Like he likes to play school and he's like putting Calvin in school and Danielle: Thank you. Catie: that and I actually had a win and I was gonna post it on our stories. And if I don't if I get to it, like everyone ignore this. But there's a bluey episode where Bluey like bosses bingo around way too much, and then bingo doesn't want to play. And we've watched it twice now. And I know Jack remembers the episode, and Jack obviously identifies as Bluey. And I this morning I looked down, I looked down the stairs, and Kelvin, like, you know, when the little little ones get frustrated, they like throw everything and then they move on to the next thing. And Jack's like, he won't play nice. I'm never playing again. And I go, Jack. What did Bluey what happened to Bluey? She wasn't sharing with Bingo. And he's like, like it clicked. And I was like, wow, Danielle: That I love that you do Louie. Catie: all this screen time. And we got a good parenting moment from Blueie. Right? Danielle: Coming in for the win. So screen time isn't always a loss, okay? Catie: And he just he looked at me and he goes, Okay. And he did, I heard him go and apologize to Kelvin. I really want you to play with me, let you come play. And he I don't think Kelvin came back, but like it was so different. Danielle: Yeah, you know, that's his bra we tried. Catie: But like Jack understood, I'm like, you can't make all the rules. You have to but anyway, they're playing the this stuff, they're playing like teacher ki kind of house, but they're really obsessed with putting stuffies in their shirt and saying that they have babies. Danielle: That's hysterical. Catie: And I don't know where they're seeing pregnant people, like Danielle: Peppa Pig was pregnant. That's your favorite show. Like Catie: We have like really we say that Netflix doesn't work. Danielle: I well, I've been like really trying to like balance screen time. My kids don't use the iPad or the phone because we don't have mostly because we don't have them. Okay. Like we don't have an iPad for the kids anymore. It broke. And we had those fires, which w actually do work for road trips, but not for everyday like Catie: Yeah. Danielle: use. So screen time for us is this the big screen. But Colton keeps and we only do YouTube kids, but YouTube kids like he keeps seeing things and then he's terrified and like I just can't do it anymore. So we're struggling because I'm trying to like say you get 15 minutes of this. If you do that like this, but then we can't be consistent because we have a meeting or whatever. I really am struggling with this. But he watches it's too old for your kids. But Daisy likes it because Colton watches it. It's called Salish and Jordan Matters. Like it used to be YouTube. Now it's on Netflix. It's like a little girl and her dad, she's now 16, but it started when she was like eight. And they've been like watching it through and There are some things that you're like on YouTube that it's bad, like it can be like unrealistic. But we just watched an episode where she had to pick like for her 16th birthday between a car, a brand new like red dream car Jeep, or her seeing her best friend that lives in Nashville, and she chose her best friend and told her dad, I just want a cheap, safe car for my first car. And I was like, you know what? We could we can watch this. We can Catie: We can get behind this. Danielle: Salish. You matter. Thank you for teaching my kids that friendships are more important than things and that just a cheap safe car. Like So I'm like, there is some Catie: Love that. Yeah. Danielle: good stuff you can see on TV. Catie: Right? We had a great parenting moment both ways. Danielle: I'm proud of you. I'm proud of you and I'm proud of my lack of Catie: Proud of us, really. Danielle: understanding. Catie: Well, I think with that, it's a busy week and we need to go clock back in. Danielle: We do need to clock back in, but I'm gonna leave everybody with a vote because we've been talking about this and I want if anybody w has their opinion. The Jonas brothers are coming to Charlotte. So that is Katie's favorite band. They were my top listen to. They beat they them and Stray Kids are the only band to beat Catie: Because of me. Danielle: Hanson since my ever I've ever had Spotify. And it's cause I went to a concert in Chicago before I knew you were obsessed with them and I Listen to them nonstop. So I want to experience Katie's favorite band with her. And I obviously do not mind looking at any of the bros. So do you think she should come down or not? Forget money, forget responsibility. Should Katie come down to Charlotte to see the Jonas Brothers with? Catie: My issue, you know the stipulation. I can come, but Michelle has to come. We're not allowed to go without each other. Danielle: I love I I love Michelle. So I'm fine with that. Catie: You know? Danielle: You know I didn't have sisters. I like I like this dynamic. I like the group chat. Like I like being a part of this. Catie: Right. She's subtle. She could be way more aggressive in the group chat. She has a lot to say. Danielle: Let her let her go. Let her Michelle give you per full permission. Let her go. All right. So we're clocking out, clocking back in. Let us know. Catie: L letter. Letter. all right. Give us your vote. See ya.
