- 0:28Speaker 4: a do you have a pet? No, they're all dead. Excellent,
- 0:31Speaker 4: That's what I wanted to hear. And now handle on
- 0:34Speaker 4: the news. Ladies and gentlemen, here's Bill Handle.
- 0:40Speaker 1: KFI AM six forty Bill Handle Here, good morning. It
- 0:43Speaker 1: is December twenty fourth, on a Wednesday, twas the night
- 0:48Speaker 1: before Christmas. I couldn't find the actual language of the poem.
- 0:52Speaker 1: So Michelle helped me out on that one.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I heard you ask Siri like I did, sirih Yeah,
- 0:57Speaker 2: and sirih.
- 0:57Speaker 1: All they give you was the history of the poem,
- 1:00Speaker 1: going back to the early eighteen hundreds and the whole thing,
- 1:03Speaker 1: and it was just really weird.
- 1:04Speaker 4: So I was just curious about twice the night before
- 1:06Speaker 4: Christmas just went and entered my mind.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So a couple of things I want to well, first
- 1:11Speaker 1: of all, Hello, Cono, there you are working as always.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Good morning, Oh yeah, Merry Christmas Eve.
- 1:18Speaker 1: And Heather Hello, you're infulling in what the next week?
- 1:22Speaker 4: Week and a half?
- 1:23Speaker 2: Yeah, the next week and a half. For Amy, that's.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Right, all right, because she's out and running, probably out
- 1:28Speaker 1: in Oregon someplace, coming back just to go to Disneyland
- 1:30Speaker 1: and going back home.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Will good morning ho ho ho do you sir? You
- 1:37Speaker 4: know I could do a lot with that.
- 1:38Speaker 5: You know that, And I wish you would give everyone
- 1:41Speaker 5: the gifts they need this holiday season.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Yes. And then Michelle in for Ann good morning.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Good morning. San is in Japan right.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Now, Yeah, okay, we've got to That is a really
- 1:55Speaker 1: interesting story.
- 1:56Speaker 4: And Michelle actually put this.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Together, and that is how the nor Ad following Santas
- 2:05Speaker 1: sleigh around the world, how it began. And it is
- 2:08Speaker 1: a terrific story, a little history and I just love
- 2:13Speaker 1: this story. And we have a lot going on today. Oh,
- 2:16Speaker 1: A couple of things before we get into it the news.
- 2:19Speaker 1: First of all, you're doing a Christmas Carol kind of thing.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Either I was listening to your promo, I wasn't. I
- 2:27Speaker 1: wasn't invited to sing.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Well, to sing? Would you like to sing?
- 2:31Speaker 4: No? No, no, absolutely not.
- 2:33Speaker 1: But I'm just wondering why I wasn't invited to be
- 2:36Speaker 1: part of it.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I wasn't either.
- 2:38Speaker 4: I feel better.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Give everyone the gift they've all wanted for. Please sing
- 2:43Speaker 5: for us right now.
- 2:44Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, give everyone the gift.
- 2:49Speaker 5: No giving Bill Handle sings the Crystal Class Christmas Class.
- 2:54Speaker 4: No, that is not going to happen, not in this lifetime.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I used to be able to give gifts, but I
- 2:59Speaker 1: took a lot of man biotics for that, so that
- 3:01Speaker 1: worked out.
- 3:01Speaker 4: So I'm done with that.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Okay, Well they probably figured you guys didn't want to
- 3:05Speaker 5: stick around.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It's not happening until noon today.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Oh yeah, there's no chance. Yeah, there's no chance. There's
- 3:09Speaker 4: no chance.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Hey, I got something in the mail which I wanted
- 3:12Speaker 1: to share with you people, and I was wondering. This
- 3:15Speaker 1: came out of the blue, and it's a bereavement card,
- 3:18Speaker 1: a blank one from.
- 3:21Speaker 4: The priests of the Sacred Heart.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And it is literally just a straight out bereavement card
- 3:29Speaker 1: in an envelope with a little card attached.
- 3:33Speaker 4: It looks like a bookmark that has the twenty third
- 3:38Speaker 4: psalm and.
- 3:40Speaker 1: A poem and it's a little calendar and it's kind
- 3:43Speaker 1: of weird.
- 3:44Speaker 4: It's really interesting.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And you open up the bereavement card and on the
- 3:48Speaker 1: left is Safely Home and it's a poem about Jesus
- 3:52Speaker 1: and there's a picture of Jesus and some flowers. I
- 3:55Speaker 1: am home in heaven, dear ones. I'm so happy and
- 3:57Speaker 1: so bright. There is perfect joy and beauty in this
- 3:59Speaker 1: ever lasting the light. Okay, roses are red violets or
- 4:02Speaker 1: blue kind of thing. It's pretty moronic.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Now.
- 4:06Speaker 1: The card itself Sacred Heart Memorial and memory of it,
- 4:09Speaker 1: and you fill in the name, and then requested by
- 4:13Speaker 1: you fill in the name and it's as the priests
- 4:17Speaker 1: of the Sacred Heart has received a memorial gift requesting
- 4:20Speaker 1: the soul of your loved one to be remembered daily
- 4:24Speaker 1: in their mouses and prayers as long as the grace
- 4:27Speaker 1: of God is needed.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Okay, real quickly, do you know what I mean?
- 4:32Speaker 3: That's just basically, if somebody in your life passed away
- 4:34Speaker 3: and you want the church to recognize.
- 4:36Speaker 4: No, no I understand that. No no I no I get that.
- 4:39Speaker 2: No I get Are you wondering why they sent it
- 4:41Speaker 2: to you?
- 4:42Speaker 4: Well, yeah, because they want money, because they put in
- 4:43Speaker 4: the donation card, which is really important. Yeah, of course
- 4:47Speaker 4: it's Catholic. Actually, you would never mind.
- 4:51Speaker 1: You would think if it was a Jewish card, it
- 4:53Speaker 1: would be a card for an investment opportunity.
- 4:57Speaker 4: But that's not the case here.
- 4:59Speaker 1: My question is to ask you this, Michelle, is that
- 5:03Speaker 1: you know this is a fairly big organization. And I'm
- 5:06Speaker 1: assuming thousands of people die every month. And when the
- 5:12Speaker 1: Sacred Heart Memorial people, the priests of Sacred Heart said
- 5:16Speaker 1: we will be remembering you daily and the soul of
- 5:20Speaker 1: your loved one.
- 5:20Speaker 4: How do they do that?
- 5:21Speaker 2: It's usually just a quick mention.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I don't know how many they get, but if you
- 5:26Speaker 3: go to church, usually it's just a quick mention at
- 5:29Speaker 3: the end of a service or something.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Right, you have to pay more for long names.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Possibly, I don't know for sure.
- 5:35Speaker 1: And the other thing is do you think they sent
- 5:38Speaker 1: this to the wrong person at the wrong address. Yeah,
- 5:41Speaker 1: it's a waste of time, you know, no bereavement, all right,
- 5:47Speaker 1: that's just weird.
- 5:48Speaker 4: I get some weird male. Well, we all get weird male. Okay.
- 5:52Speaker 1: It is Christmas eve Day, and so the trees. Michelle
- 5:59Speaker 1: later on in a post. I think our Christmas greetings
- 6:01Speaker 1: from the entire crew.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, I'll the host of cafe. Some Cafi people
- 6:08Speaker 3: gave me some holiday messages. I'll post on Instagram later
- 6:11Speaker 3: tonight after I'm done cooking.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I forgot to do mine. I'm sorry. I just remember,
- 6:16Speaker 2: you have time.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, you have time. Put it up there, and
- 6:19Speaker 1: then I had a little bit of fun with mine,
- 6:21Speaker 1: of course, completely sacrilegious. What a shocker that one is. Okay,
- 6:25Speaker 1: are you guys ready to do it?
- 6:26Speaker 2: Let's do it?
- 6:28Speaker 4: Time for handle on the news.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Heather in for Amy, No Neil in for no Neil
- 6:34Speaker 1: and me lead story. Well, we've been talking about this
- 6:41Speaker 1: with this atmospheric river coming down, and I'm going to defer,
- 6:46Speaker 1: as I always do to our newsperson with some specifics
- 6:51Speaker 1: as to the.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Weather, the amount of rain, how many people are drowning,
- 6:56Speaker 4: all of that.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Well, luckily, no one is drowning so far. They've been
- 6:59Speaker 5: getting the word out pretty well around the area. So
- 7:02Speaker 5: the National Weather Service says downtown LA is likely to
- 7:05Speaker 5: get two to four inches of rain, but places like
- 7:09Speaker 5: the Santa Monica Mountains, San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel and
- 7:12Speaker 5: foothills and Hollywood Hills could get four to eight inches.
- 7:16Speaker 5: I interviewed somebody from the National Weather Service this morning,
- 7:19Speaker 5: Andrew Rourke. He said that what's different about this particular
- 7:24Speaker 5: storm system compared to other rainstorms we get is the
- 7:27Speaker 5: amount of rain in such a short amount of time.
- 7:30Speaker 5: There's going to be a tremendous amount of rain pouring
- 7:33Speaker 5: in the next two days. And there's two storm systems.
- 7:36Speaker 5: There's one that's going to move through today and then
- 7:39Speaker 5: tonight it's going to taper off a little bit and
- 7:41Speaker 5: kind of you know, we'll have a little bit of
- 7:42Speaker 5: a calm, lighter rain, and then it's going to start
- 7:45Speaker 5: right back up again on Christmas Day.
- 7:48Speaker 1: And two people have lost their lives in northern California
- 7:51Speaker 1: already because of the storms. Hopefully it stops of that.
- 7:54Speaker 1: And when you talk about a lot of rain in
- 7:57Speaker 1: a very short period of time, that's instant flooding and
- 8:00Speaker 1: in a big, big way. And you got the burn areas,
- 8:03Speaker 1: the Palisades, they eaten areas and Malibu, I mean, all
- 8:07Speaker 1: of it is kind of nuts. I have not seen
- 8:09Speaker 1: heavy rain yet. I'm in Orange County. I have not
- 8:12Speaker 1: seen heavy rain.
- 8:12Speaker 3: It was coming down pretty good here a little while ago,
- 8:14Speaker 3: and traffic is just a mess.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Will has said he has not seen this much, this
- 8:20Speaker 5: much activity in quite a while.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Yeah, so, well, were you gonna have? I guess one word.
- 8:25Speaker 1: The traffic reports horrible and you're done, stay home.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 1: So.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Governor Newsom has declared states of emergency for several areas,
- 8:38Speaker 5: and the six weather events that he's declared emergency for
- 8:41Speaker 5: is the emergency.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Excuse me?
- 8:43Speaker 5: The six weather events that caused significant damage that he
- 8:47Speaker 5: declared emergency for his were reclaimed states of emergency. Windstorms
- 8:51Speaker 5: in Rancho Cucamonga tsunami and Del Norte County. Am I
- 8:55Speaker 5: saying Del Norte, right, that sounds right? Yeah, Gifford fired
- 8:58Speaker 5: in Gifford Fire area and San Luis Obispo and Santa
- 9:01Speaker 5: Barbara County, monsoon storms in Imperial County, storms and mud
- 9:05Speaker 5: slides in Sierra County, and storms in San Bernardino and Imperio.
- 9:10Speaker 1: That's throughout the year, it has the governor declared emergencies
- 9:14Speaker 1: right now during this storm, profession, Yes, okay, it's already
- 9:17Speaker 1: been done. Okay, Well we had more to the list, okay. Ooh,
- 9:20Speaker 1: and this was expected.
- 9:21Speaker 5: This is such a heartbreaking story. Ashley Buzzard her whose
- 9:26Speaker 5: nine year old daughter, Melody Buzzard, had been missing since October.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Everybody was looking for her, you know, we were talking
- 9:33Speaker 5: about this story quite a bit. She was arrested after
- 9:37Speaker 5: the girl's body was found in Utah. Detectives believe the
- 9:40Speaker 5: child was killed after she was seen October ninth near
- 9:44Speaker 5: the Utah Colorado border. FBI analysis confirmed through DNA match
- 9:51Speaker 5: that it was Ashley Buzzard.
- 9:54Speaker 2: So heartbreaking.
- 9:55Speaker 5: And the newest update, of course, is that she died
- 9:57Speaker 5: from a gunshot wound to the head. And there were
- 10:00Speaker 5: cartridge cases found at Buzzard's home, the mother's home that
- 10:04Speaker 5: match those discovered at the scene in Utah.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and they weren't charging her because there were no remains, right,
- 10:13Speaker 1: And of course she's not cooperating, and she just says,
- 10:16Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. It
- 10:17Speaker 1: doesn't have to say anything. And if there's nobody, it's
- 10:20Speaker 1: kind of hard to charge. I mean, that's the sort
- 10:22Speaker 1: of you can't do it. It has been done, but
- 10:24Speaker 1: you need a ton of circumstantial evidence, I mean tons
- 10:27Speaker 1: of it, and they didn't have that.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Now they have it.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Now they have direct evidence casings and the DNA confirming
- 10:36Speaker 1: that it was in fact Melody. And it's just this,
- 10:40Speaker 1: you know how it is the mother, it's the comprehensive
- 10:43Speaker 1: mother kills her her own child.
- 10:45Speaker 2: This sweet girl. The pictures of her.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Style, and then you saw those videos of them going
- 10:50Speaker 1: into the store, yeah store, and they were both in
- 10:54Speaker 1: wigs and just crazy, absolutely crazy.
- 10:58Speaker 4: All right.
- 10:58Speaker 5: So the DOJ has released thirty thousand items related to
- 11:03Speaker 5: the Epstein files, thirty thousand of the Epstein files. And
- 11:07Speaker 5: this is a little bit interesting because there's more mentions
- 11:12Speaker 5: of President Trump in this one. And Trump has never
- 11:15Speaker 5: been accused by law enforcement of any criminical criminal acts
- 11:18Speaker 5: relating to Epstein, and he vigorously denies any wrongdoing. However,
- 11:24Speaker 5: these latest releases say that the flight records indicate that
- 11:29Speaker 5: Trump traveled a lot more on Epstein's private jet than
- 11:34Speaker 5: had previously been reported.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Yeah, this is panning out exactly the way I called it.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I'm going to take kudos on this one, and that
- 11:41Speaker 1: is what these files are going to show out is
- 11:44Speaker 1: just a much closer relationship to Epstein.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Do I think Trump was involved in any of this? Now?
- 11:49Speaker 4: I don't do I think they were very close. Yes,
- 11:51Speaker 4: I do.
- 11:52Speaker 1: And he's separating himself as much as possible. Also, I've
- 11:55Speaker 1: never been.
- 11:56Speaker 4: On his plane.
- 11:57Speaker 1: That's a lie, that's fake. That's the hoax. Look at
- 12:00Speaker 1: the flight records. Yes you were, not that it matters
- 12:04Speaker 1: in his world, but it's you're going to hear as
- 12:08Speaker 1: this thing gets closer and closer to Trump, not the
- 12:12Speaker 1: not the misconduct, not the trafficking or the sexual molestation
- 12:16Speaker 1: of these girls, But as the relationship gets closer and closer,
- 12:20Speaker 1: you are going to hear the word hoax and.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Fake news more and more. I guarantee you. Yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 5: The DJ is already trying to kind of downplay them
- 12:28Speaker 5: a little bit. They posted on social media.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Play Bill Clinton and I'll play Bill Clinton. Yeah.
- 12:34Speaker 5: They're already saying, well, but Clinton was in there, right,
- 12:36Speaker 5: And that's another of the leads to the next story
- 12:38Speaker 5: is that people are saying that the DOJ has sort
- 12:42Speaker 5: of botched the Epstein files release more than they previously
- 12:46Speaker 5: had indicated. Apparently there is a way on the DOJ
- 12:51Speaker 5: website where hackers can highlight the redacted copy and text
- 12:56Speaker 5: and paste it into another document to read the redactions.
- 13:02Speaker 5: So they're saying that the DJ has screwed this up
- 13:05Speaker 5: quite a bit by allowing hackers to be able to
- 13:07Speaker 5: do that.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Yeah, technologically speaking, they were just a ham handed about it.
- 13:11Speaker 4: And they're doing this.
- 13:12Speaker 1: That means that they're all the redacted stuff is going
- 13:16Speaker 1: to be available.
- 13:17Speaker 2: As it should be, don't you think or do you
- 13:19Speaker 2: think not?
- 13:19Speaker 1: The not the photos or the information of the victims
- 13:24Speaker 1: that do not want to go public, Okay, everybody else absolutely,
- 13:28Speaker 1: Also the names of people, for example, who had met
- 13:31Speaker 1: him at a party or had some slight relationship with
- 13:38Speaker 1: him or some encounter.
- 13:39Speaker 4: I mean, this is one of those where the.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Accusation sticks far more than the reality, So you got
- 13:46Speaker 1: to be really, really careful. But for the most part,
- 13:48Speaker 1: I mean, they're redacting stuff that's unbelievable. I mean they're
- 13:51Speaker 1: redacting everybody on this one or anything close to Trump.
- 13:55Speaker 1: And even so, there's some stuff, I like the flight
- 13:59Speaker 1: logs on the manifests in which Trump's name appears, so
- 14:02Speaker 1: you know, he can't take out everything they tried. Maybe
- 14:06Speaker 1: it's going to get worse for Trump then it's going
- 14:09Speaker 1: to get any better. However, I want to reiterate, and
- 14:12Speaker 1: we have to reiterate what you said and that is,
- 14:14Speaker 1: there is no accusation or evidence that he was involved
- 14:18Speaker 1: in any of those machinations of what Depstein was accused of.
- 14:22Speaker 5: All right, so you might remember this story from a
- 14:24Speaker 5: few weeks back. A federal grand jury dited four people
- 14:27Speaker 5: who were alleged members of an extremist group.
- 14:30Speaker 2: They've been indicted on.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Attempting to well, I guess, a suspected bombing plot for
- 14:38Speaker 5: SoCal in Los Angeles County and Orange County on New
- 14:42Speaker 5: Year's Eve. Each of them is charged with one count
- 14:44Speaker 5: of providing and attempting to provide materials to support to
- 14:48Speaker 5: terrorists and one count of possession of unregistered firearms.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:54Speaker 1: What's weird about this one is that this is not
- 14:57Speaker 1: particularly political. It's more they hate capitalism in general and
- 15:04Speaker 1: just modern society. You don't see one like isis. You
- 15:08Speaker 1: don't see any kind of reactionary of forces here.
- 15:12Speaker 4: It's just we hate capitalism. Yeah.
- 15:15Speaker 5: The part of something called this Turtle Island Liberation Front
- 15:18Speaker 5: and antwe Well.
- 15:18Speaker 1: That tells you right there, how effective Turtle Island. That's
- 15:23Speaker 1: I guess where they practice. They move very slowly, though
- 15:25Speaker 1: they were easy to catch.
- 15:28Speaker 5: We got them though, they got Yeah, Oh we got
- 15:31Speaker 5: all right. So we mentioned this story a couple of times. Today,
- 15:33Speaker 5: Open ai is teamed up with nora Ad to.
- 15:38Speaker 2: To track Santa.
- 15:40Speaker 5: How do we feel about this is they're using some
- 15:43Speaker 5: tools ELF Enrollment, which allows people to transform their pictures
- 15:46Speaker 5: into something that resembles an ELF, Santa's Toy Lab, which
- 15:50Speaker 5: assists in creating customized toy pictures, and a Christmas story creator,
- 15:54Speaker 5: a fill in the blank's holiday story maker. They're all
- 15:58Speaker 5: using the chat GPT platform with Norad.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I'm going to talk more about the history of Norad
- 16:05Speaker 1: coming up at seven or eight o'clock. It is a
- 16:09Speaker 1: fun story of how this started, how Santa going around
- 16:14Speaker 1: the world and Norad goes back.
- 16:17Speaker 4: To the mid fifties, and it's just a hilarious story.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Who I'm excited for that. I love learning about history stuff.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I'm a history nerd, like the history buff.
- 16:26Speaker 5: Speaking of tracking Santa, well, now apparently DHS is using
- 16:31Speaker 5: Santa to track what they're calling illegal immigrants. The Department
- 16:35Speaker 5: of Homeland Security has taken a holiday themed campaign and
- 16:39Speaker 5: they are using AI generated clips to show Saint Nick
- 16:43Speaker 5: suiting up for an evening with Ice.
- 16:47Speaker 4: He's fantastic.
- 16:48Speaker 5: He's seen cuffing arrestees, booking them, taking them to the facility.
- 16:54Speaker 4: You know, you think this would be just a.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Smile on your face, find a story shop, or you know,
- 17:00Speaker 1: just some kind of a prank hoax.
- 17:03Speaker 4: They actually did this.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Yes, Santa's buff. If you look at the video, Santa's
- 17:08Speaker 2: like all.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Buffed out beard and he gives a and it's no
- 17:12Speaker 1: smile there, it's a grimace.
- 17:13Speaker 4: And I We're gonna get these illegal aliens.
- 17:15Speaker 2: He's got on.
- 17:16Speaker 4: That's what Michelle. Can we put that up?
- 17:19Speaker 2: Let's put it on the Instagram.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you have to put it at bill handle, show
- 17:22Speaker 1: our Instagram page, because that is just way too good
- 17:25Speaker 1: a story, I mean a photo.
- 17:27Speaker 2: And there.
- 17:28Speaker 5: Apparently they've upped the self deportation payment on the CBP.
- 17:33Speaker 5: I remember when it was one thousand dollars if you
- 17:35Speaker 5: self deport. Now it's three thousand.
- 17:38Speaker 1: So they were like, Christine home, you too can win
- 17:41Speaker 1: three thousand dollars or we'll pay you.
- 17:44Speaker 4: All you have to do is self deport Sure, why not?
- 17:47Speaker 5: Now all those people that self deported months ago are like,
- 17:49Speaker 5: oh I should have held out.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Yeah, got more money, all right.
- 17:54Speaker 5: Supreme Court has ruled against President Trump refusing to reinstate
- 17:58Speaker 5: for now his ability to send National Guard troops into
- 18:01Speaker 5: Illinois over the objections of its governor. The administration argued
- 18:05Speaker 5: that it needed to federalize the National Guard to have
- 18:10Speaker 5: fight against unremitting violence and ice agents, acts of a
- 18:17Speaker 5: protester whatever, against ice agents and ICE facilities. But Illinois
- 18:22Speaker 5: has said, we don't have those emergency situations here.
- 18:26Speaker 2: You know, there's no rebellion.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Yeah, keep in mind that what gives the President the
- 18:30Speaker 1: ability to nationalize the Guard and then bring him into
- 18:34Speaker 1: the city is him declaring there was a rebellion or
- 18:39Speaker 1: danger of rebellion against the US government, and that's what
- 18:43Speaker 1: he is, arguing that these protesters are a.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Danger to the country.
- 18:49Speaker 1: They are rebelling against the government of the United States
- 18:52Speaker 1: and trying to take it over.
- 18:55Speaker 4: Come on. And even the court Supreme Court, which I
- 18:57Speaker 4: thought was going to go the other way.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Really I thought the court absolutely up to this point,
- 19:02Speaker 1: the court has says whatever the President says it is,
- 19:05Speaker 1: it is in his opinion.
- 19:07Speaker 5: But there's no evidence of any of that, Like it
- 19:10Speaker 5: would be hard to fly in the face of that.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Like, there's just no evidence of anybody.
- 19:15Speaker 4: It's not a question of evidence.
- 19:16Speaker 1: It's a question of does the president have the right
- 19:19Speaker 1: to declare and a rebellion and an emergency, and do
- 19:23Speaker 1: the courts have a right to overturn that or does
- 19:26Speaker 1: the president have a right simply because he declares an
- 19:29Speaker 1: emergency with no connection to reality.
- 19:33Speaker 4: And up to this point, I got to tell you
- 19:34Speaker 4: the courts that are going to the president.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I mean, the one that I couldn't believe is the
- 19:39Speaker 1: argument that the president has complete immunity for any act
- 19:43Speaker 1: during the course of his presidency, and as he argues
- 19:49Speaker 1: that it relates to the presidency.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Ellen A.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Kagan, who is a Supreme Court justice, actually asked the
- 19:55Speaker 1: Solicitor General of the United States was arguing this, or
- 19:58Speaker 1: one of the staff members was in front of the court,
- 20:01Speaker 1: does that mean that the president could order the assassination
- 20:05Speaker 1: of a rival?
- 20:08Speaker 4: Uh?
- 20:08Speaker 1: And he has the ability to do that under this order?
- 20:12Speaker 1: And the guy said absolutely, Wow, that's and it's and
- 20:17Speaker 1: and the court basically said it, yeah, you know, it's
- 20:20Speaker 1: the president's call. I mean, that's how scary it had gotten,
- 20:24Speaker 1: and it has gotten so at least the court in
- 20:26Speaker 1: this uh, in this instance is saying no, you don't
- 20:30Speaker 1: have the right.
- 20:31Speaker 4: And by the way.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Only Congress has many and many of these rights, like tariffs,
- 20:35Speaker 1: which is going up, and the President says, I want
- 20:38Speaker 1: I'm going to issue the terrorists because I am the
- 20:40Speaker 1: president and I can do whatever the hell I want
- 20:42Speaker 1: to do.
- 20:43Speaker 4: So that's I'm glad the Supreme Court is putting some
- 20:46Speaker 4: limits on this. We'll find out more.
- 20:47Speaker 1: There's a lot of cases going up, by the way
- 20:49Speaker 1: that we're going to be reporting on that are going
- 20:51Speaker 1: to could be coming out in a new term.
- 20:52Speaker 5: All right, So we told you before the break that
- 20:56Speaker 5: Illinois was pushing back against the National Guard troops. Well
- 20:59Speaker 5: down in louis they're saying, come on down. Trump administration
- 21:03Speaker 5: will deploy three hundred and fifty National Guard troops there.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry is praising the move, saying that
- 21:10Speaker 5: it's going to help them crack down on violence in
- 21:12Speaker 5: the city of New Orleans.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Yeah, even though violence murders are way, way, way down.
- 21:17Speaker 4: But it's a political move.
- 21:19Speaker 3: You know.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Landry's a Republican and he was just named the envoy
- 21:24Speaker 1: to Greenland, you know, arguing that Greenland should belong to
- 21:29Speaker 1: the United States, that we should annex Greenland, and they're
- 21:32Speaker 1: thrilled about that too. Then Mark is happy, happy, and
- 21:36Speaker 1: of course the fifty first state Canada is very happy.
- 21:40Speaker 2: All right.
- 21:41Speaker 5: Cracking down on speeders Here in the Los Angeles area,
- 21:45Speaker 5: the California State Transportation Agency, they have a new pilot
- 21:48Speaker 5: program that is collaborating with the DMV and the CHP.
- 21:54Speaker 5: Apparently they're going to be giving anyone a citation for
- 21:57Speaker 5: driving more than one hundred miles an hour and it
- 21:59Speaker 5: is going to be forwarded to the DMV's driver's safety branch.
- 22:03Speaker 5: They'll then review the driver's history and determine if a
- 22:06Speaker 5: license suspension or revocation is necessary.
- 22:10Speaker 4: How is that possible that that's not already in place.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I don't know, I would think it would be.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Yeah, driving in hunderd miles per hour is not just speeding,
- 22:17Speaker 1: it's it's writing the reckless.
- 22:19Speaker 4: And I'm talking about legally it's reckless.
- 22:22Speaker 1: And so I don't I don't get how this isn't
- 22:24Speaker 1: happening automatically. So well, you would think it would be
- 22:28Speaker 1: just an automatic and you fight to get it back.
- 22:31Speaker 5: In uh, San Francisco, let's see, Immigrant drivers of trucks
- 22:35Speaker 5: and other commercial vehicles sued the state for canceling twenty
- 22:40Speaker 5: thousand licenses. They're saying officials bowed to pressure from the
- 22:43Speaker 5: Trump administration and violated state laws for allowing renewal of
- 22:48Speaker 5: the licenses.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Yeah, these are we're talking about commercial licenses, and I
- 22:55Speaker 1: don't know if they are they under the auspices of
- 22:58Speaker 1: the federal government, and I don't know.
- 22:59Speaker 4: I don't think so. I still think it's a state issue.
- 23:04Speaker 4: May be wrong on.
- 23:04Speaker 2: That, all right.
- 23:07Speaker 5: Schools can't bar teachers from telling their parents if their
- 23:11Speaker 5: children are transgender, and judge has ruled that down in
- 23:16Speaker 5: Orange County. They have a constitutional right, the judge says,
- 23:20Speaker 5: to be informed if their child starts to present as
- 23:23Speaker 5: a different gender at school, and schools cannot hide that
- 23:25Speaker 5: information from parents. That was ruled by San Diego judge
- 23:29Speaker 5: federal judge.
- 23:31Speaker 1: That's interesting. I mean, do parents have a right to know?
- 23:34Speaker 1: I mean, when you're a kid who is named Jeff
- 23:38Speaker 1: decides that it's going to be Abigail, for example, and
- 23:42Speaker 1: doesn't do so at home, do the parents have a
- 23:45Speaker 1: right to know that? And there's two ways of looking
- 23:47Speaker 1: at that is, of course the parents do I have
- 23:49Speaker 1: a right. However, what if the child is going to
- 23:52Speaker 1: be ostracized or punished or somehow even be abused for
- 23:58Speaker 1: because he or she is taking on the other gender.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Same thing with abortion. By the way, the schools cannot
- 24:05Speaker 1: tell the parents about abortion. A fourteen year old girl
- 24:10Speaker 1: has an abortion in the school knows about it. By law,
- 24:12Speaker 1: they can't inform their parents. And that's a minor. Now,
- 24:17Speaker 1: if the kid is taking an aspirin at school, the
- 24:20Speaker 1: parents are notified.
- 24:23Speaker 4: It's pretty wild. It is.
- 24:25Speaker 5: I as a mother of a twelve year old, I
- 24:27Speaker 5: would want to know. I would want but you know,
- 24:30Speaker 5: my home is obviously different than other people's home. You know,
- 24:33Speaker 5: everybody's different. But as a parent, I would want to
- 24:35Speaker 5: know if something like that happened.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Well, here's the other side of reality. Can you imagine
- 24:40Speaker 1: you not knowing?
- 24:42Speaker 2: Yeah, like, that's that's impossible.
- 24:44Speaker 4: I mean, you know, no one could sorry about that.
- 24:48Speaker 4: No one's going to keep that hidden. Yeah yeah, I
- 24:51Speaker 4: think we're done. Yeah, Okay, we're done. This is KFI
