- 0:03SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, what a gr did we need this?
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Oh, I know.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Even I even put the little butt warmers on this morning.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Oh, did you really?
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: I did.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: Why not?
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: I'm like, this is great.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: I mean, there was no smoke.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: There was no humidity to the point that you start sweating the minute you walk out the door.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: It was like, I mean, I know summer's not over, but it's like, all right, well, this is all right.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: Speaking of the smoke, so Friday, I did the Gus Macker.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Oh, smoked them!
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Oh, did I ever Elizabeth said, uh, good everyone, happy Monday.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: Congratulations to Allie's uh Gus Macker team.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Um, this hold on a second.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna set the trophy down on the counter this thing so you can hear how heavy this is.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but you're owl.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, wow.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: It is so heavy.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: But now, is that a trophy?
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Is that a trophy because you did something spectacular or you participated?
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: I'm more of the participation trophy.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Did I get any baskets?
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Are you serious?
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: I try.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, they kept passing me the ball and I couldn't get it in to save my life.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: Oh, the pressure got you.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: I think he's the Dean of Students for Notre Dame.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: He always was there for my rebounds.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Thank God.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's good.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Trent.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: I don't know his last name.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, I don't know.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Me neither.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: And the only thing.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: But I'm glad he was there for you.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Oh, tell me about it.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: But I swear to God, I think that smoke was messed with me because after, well, first of all, I had this little third grader Faith who's I was gonna ask you.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: The hoops prodigy.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: So she gave me a run for my money.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: I was, of course, I'm assigned to her.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, because everybody knew you were trying to talk smack to the third grader on the show.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: And you know what she ended up doing?
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Because not only is she so fast, so by the end of it, my lungs are on fire.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Literally, from all of that smoke from the two days before.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: But on top of that, I don't think I've ran that hard in a long time because she's do, do, do, do.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: I'm like, me, me, I gotta be the one that has to chase this little brat.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just kidding, she's great.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Her mom was really sweet too.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Apparently, her mom's in basketball.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: One of my girlfriends is her teacher, and I didn't know this, and she says she lives, eats, and breathes basketball.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, good, but back to faith.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: So I go back to faith.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: I go to that's the little hoops prodigy.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: I go to shoot the basket.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: She jumps out of nowhere, this little garden gnome, and tips the ball every single time.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: I'm like, you little twerp.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: Her parents, and then I met her dad.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: I mean, obviously super supportive.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: I swear to God, she is gonna be the next Caitlin Clark.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's great.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: She's like thrown from the three-point line, and I'm like, um, what?
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: You know, it's amazing.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: Sometimes gifts for kids show themselves early.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Sometimes later.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: I'm still waiting for mine to show.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Uh I'm figuring maybe sometimes.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm not worried about them.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: They'll have they'll they'll figure it out.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: Maybe I'm waiting for my gifts to begin to perform.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: That's my figure.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: But uh at any rate, it's amazing because when you see somebody that that that is that young that gets it.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: And sometimes and committed.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: Sometimes you'll see it in like gymnastics and different things.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Uh, and you're just like, yeah, go.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, this is you dedicate to it.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: I think of even like the pictures, the old, old pictures of Tiger Woods when he was a little boy playing golf at that same age.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: It makes you think of this stuff.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: You're like, oh, just stay on it, please.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: I've never committed to anything.
- 3:25unknown: I know.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Well, you and I are in the same boat.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm really hoping my gift show and you're non-committal.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: I know, exactly, exactly.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: So that was so much fun.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: I don't know what they did on Saturday because I was That was a rough day.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Saturday was bad.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: In fact, I even got a little water in the basement.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: It came down so hard.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: I was like, whoa.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: I got a little something, but it came under the door.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think what happened is the groundwater came up so quick because that's literally what happened.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: There was so much, at least for me in West Elmira, obviously it sounds like the same in Corning.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: It came so hard and so fast, and they did tell us that could happen.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: That I think, you know, there was nothing you were gonna get it.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Well, Zach still didn't have power at his apartment last night.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, really?
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: There's a down power line over in he also lives in Painted Post.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: And then, but I mean he wasn't staying there, but he was getting the text messages.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Like, we're still working on it.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: We're hoping to restore power by nine o'clock.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: So last night at nine, I was still nothing.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Still well, I mean, I fell asleep at 8 30 and still nothing.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: So that storm happened midday, let's say, midday, late day Saturday.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: Has he checked like food in the freezer and stuff like that?
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: Um or does he have nothing?
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: He has nothing in the fridge.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: But he did say the freezer, and I don't he went he went to his apartment once this weekend, but I don't think he brought food back, so uh he might have to pitch that.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Unless he wants a good dose of the cyclospora.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: In which case didn't even come from the lattice this time, it came from Zach's freezer.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: If you want to lose 10 pounds and you want it to be hot boy summer, there you go.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Well, there you are.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Eat something from your freezer.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, you know what they say do the sniff test.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: If it's uh if it's got a little bit of a smell to it, just cook it longer.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: That's disgusting.
