- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to a lily Pad production.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome to Pandemonium, the pop culture game show
- 0:25Speaker 2: that shines the spotlights onto everyone's favorite fandoms. I'm your
- 0:29Speaker 2: games master and rubber faced dog botherer Matt Watson.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Dog Botherer is horrible.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that's one of the worst things I've ever called myself.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I think yep, and you were Jeff Brazos.
- 0:43Speaker 2: But a games master needs games, and games need players,
- 0:45Speaker 2: so please welcome. First, she is our evergreen panelist, a
- 0:49Speaker 2: podcaster and comedian who works in Stem and her glasses.
- 0:53Speaker 2: She can't find her glasses. It's Alldre Stevenson. It works
- 0:56Speaker 2: better if you throw them away.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Yeah, but I do need these, so I'm nuts going
- 1:00Speaker 1: to throw them away, even for a bit.
- 1:02Speaker 2: And he's a great fisherman, an amateur grappler, and he
- 1:06Speaker 2: stepped into this seat at the last minute, so please
- 1:09Speaker 2: don't treat him like the scrappy Doo of this episode.
- 1:12Speaker 3: It's Eric Cray.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Hello, Hello, I get beat up by fourteen year olds
- 1:16Speaker 4: a lot, so I really want to clarify that with
- 1:18Speaker 4: the grappler of course.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Of course, yeah, yeah, well that fits for Scooby Doo
- 1:23Speaker 2: getting beat up by teenagers a lot. Yeah, yeah, of course, Okay,
- 1:27Speaker 2: no follow up questions on that. By the way, welcome
- 1:30Speaker 2: as always, welcome for the first time. Eric, How are
- 1:33Speaker 2: you both doing?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Having fun? Scooby Doo is a joy and so I'm
- 1:38Speaker 1: I'm happy to be here.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Nice.
- 1:39Speaker 2: How about you?
- 1:40Speaker 3: Eric? Doing pretty good? And decided to st my knowledge
- 1:44Speaker 3: on mister mister do more for him.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Yeah, just.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Like dad.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Okay, So, Audra, this is our Halloween episode, one of
- 1:57Speaker 2: our two Halloween episodes this year, and this is also
- 1:59Speaker 2: your pick of fandom for twenty twenty five. Did you
- 2:03Speaker 2: choose the scariest thing you could possibly think of?
- 2:06Speaker 1: Yes, And looking back on some of the villains that
- 2:11Speaker 1: they did in the original run that were a little insensitive,
- 2:14Speaker 1: it is quite scary if you think about it. There's
- 2:17Speaker 1: no real ghosts, but it is quite scary.
- 2:21Speaker 2: So you're you're like, this is my Halloween entry for this.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Is Yeah, my max capacity of scary, generally speaking is
- 2:28Speaker 1: Scooby Doo, Nancy Drew, Mystery Games. Sure, that's about my
- 2:34Speaker 1: child horror, Yes, child horror.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Youth And you're a you're a fan of Scooby Doo, Odra,
- 2:44Speaker 2: I'm a huge.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Fan of Scooby Doo. I couldn't watch a lot of
- 2:47Speaker 1: different things growing up. My parents were very strict about
- 2:50Speaker 1: what I could and couldn't watch. But Scooby Doo I
- 2:53Speaker 1: really liked and was allowed to watch, and so it
- 2:57Speaker 1: was this beautiful overlapping vendie. I watched the live action one,
- 3:02Speaker 1: maybe more times than was sane, okay, because it was
- 3:07Speaker 1: just a movie I liked that I was allowed to watch.
- 3:11Speaker 2: So I was like, yes, unrepeat, hell, yeah, okay. And
- 3:15Speaker 2: what about yourself? Eric fan of Scooby.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Doo, big fan when I was little, definitely watched the
- 3:20Speaker 4: like live action on quite a bit. When I was
- 3:24Speaker 4: about six or seven, they put out one that had
- 3:27Speaker 4: real zombies in it or vampires or something, and my
- 3:31Speaker 4: mom's friend got so mad that she wrote to Warner
- 3:34Speaker 4: Brothers and told my mom that, like, we can't that
- 3:39Speaker 4: kid can't come over and watch them.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fantastic. We're writing to mister Warner brother We're
- 3:48Speaker 2: gonna let him know that this is not on.
- 3:50Speaker 1: To Warner and his brothers, this is unacceptable.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah, I mean that's I think relatable things on
- 3:58Speaker 2: that team of like media control in that household kind
- 4:00Speaker 2: of thing, and the fact that Scooby Doo is the limit.
- 4:03Speaker 3: That's hilarious. It's a low bar, so low.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Well, it sounds like we've got a Scooby Doo fan teammate.
- 4:11Speaker 2: I think we could have some good knowledge going into
- 4:13Speaker 2: the going into the quiz later on. But uh, you've
- 4:15Speaker 2: got to You've got to meet some opponents. Let's introduce them.
- 4:19Speaker 2: He is an author, podcaster and fellow games master. He's
- 4:22Speaker 2: the thread of his own podcast. But here he's my shagster,
- 4:26Speaker 2: which means something different in British.
- 4:27Speaker 3: It's Aaron randallh Hey, how goes it? Hey?
- 4:30Speaker 5: Aaron?
- 4:31Speaker 2: And he is a podcaster, comic book writer and geek explorer.
- 4:35Speaker 2: And if we take off that fake hair and beard,
- 4:38Speaker 2: we'll see that it's Ben Robin.
- 4:43Speaker 3: I would have gotten away with it too if it
- 4:44Speaker 3: wasn't for you medaling kids.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah, someone had to say it, and I'm glad it
- 4:48Speaker 2: was early. How are you doing guys?
- 4:51Speaker 5: Great?
- 4:52Speaker 3: I'm doing it? Yeah great, and a little late.
- 4:56Speaker 2: In fact, we don't have to talk about that, mainly
- 4:58Speaker 2: because we don't have time. I'm going to get right
- 5:02Speaker 2: into it.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Arena.
- 5:03Speaker 2: You a fan of Scooby Doo.
- 5:05Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I grew up watching Scooby Doo cartoons, mostly reruns,
- 5:08Speaker 5: I mean, obviously, but yeah, in the eighties, Scooby Doo
- 5:12Speaker 5: was everywhere, and for the most part, he was, you know,
- 5:16Speaker 5: harmless entertainment. You know, it was never a real supernatural thing.
- 5:20Speaker 5: It was always a guy in a mask. But as
- 5:23Speaker 5: was pointed out by Eric, eventually they did decide, okay,
- 5:26Speaker 5: let's put actual supernatural stuff in the ear. And everybody
- 5:30Speaker 5: hated it, absolutely hated it. And that's pretty much where
- 5:33Speaker 5: I fell off. I stopped watching Scooby Doo at that point,
- 5:36Speaker 5: I think. But yeah, no, I definitely have a fondness,
- 5:38Speaker 5: a nostalgia for the duiest of Scooby's.
- 5:42Speaker 2: The dewiest of Scooby. That's a horrible image.
- 5:47Speaker 5: I don't like it.
- 5:48Speaker 4: I love it.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I've said I love it, so I do love it.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Apparently I was meaning I love the you're a fan
- 5:56Speaker 2: of Scooby Doo and half been. I think everyone has
- 5:59Speaker 2: touched skew be at some point in life.
- 6:01Speaker 5: The dog botherer is stick.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I'm not beating the charges, uh Ben, what about yourself?
- 6:12Speaker 2: Are you you find a Scooby Doo?
- 6:14Speaker 3: I fucking love Scooby Doo, just like Aaron. I grew
- 6:17Speaker 3: up watching uh, you know, Scooby Doo, Where Are You?
- 6:21Speaker 3: And then Scooby Doo and Scrappy to that little ship
- 6:24Speaker 3: come on, Uh a pup named Scooby Doo and Scooby
- 6:28Speaker 3: Doo Mysteries, And I was well steeped in, uh the
- 6:33Speaker 3: Scooby lore as a as a as a youth. And
- 6:36Speaker 3: then when my kids were growing up is when Mysteries
- 6:39Speaker 3: Incorporated came out, and Uh, I think it's one. I
- 6:42Speaker 3: think it's the best Scooby Doo thing that was made.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Like it's one of those.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Wasn't that more of a long form story like it was?
- 6:49Speaker 4: It was?
- 6:49Speaker 3: It was a little more I mean it was still
- 6:51Speaker 3: serialized to a degree, but like it was, there was
- 6:54Speaker 3: like a larger plot that was overarching. Yeah, the character
- 6:59Speaker 3: is a little bit more personality. It was fucking really good.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I popped it on earlier today just to like have
- 7:04Speaker 1: some ambient Scooby Doo and it was solid. Bread is
- 7:09Speaker 1: really obsessed with traps.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Yes, I don't know where that came from, but I
- 7:12Speaker 3: loved to his character.
- 7:14Speaker 2: He needed more for his character. He was just ask
- 7:17Speaker 2: us and bossy, uh.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Like to subscribes to traps monthly.
- 7:24Speaker 2: That's a great cartoon gag. That's fantastic. I love hyper
- 7:28Speaker 2: specific magazine publications. Yeah, y all right, great, So we've
- 7:32Speaker 2: got more Scooby Doo fans. I think Scooby Doo cultural
- 7:35Speaker 2: absolute touched onn for everyone. I think mm hm.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Who doesn't like Scooby Doo weirdos? Cats?
- 7:40Speaker 2: I don't get him out of here, get them gone,
- 7:43Speaker 2: Stop listening if you don't like Scooby Doo. Actually, don't
- 7:45Speaker 2: we need listeners?
- 7:46Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 7:47Speaker 2: Okay, teams, you've arrived at the spooky swamp or castle
- 7:51Speaker 2: or island or fairground or whatever. But your team of
- 7:53Speaker 2: teen detectives is going to need some catchy branding, but
- 7:57Speaker 2: less boring than mystery in. Please just like what you
- 7:59Speaker 2: are a and then incorporate It's that's too easy, So
- 8:02Speaker 2: I'd like each pad to come up with a Scooby
- 8:04Speaker 2: Doo themed team name. Please let's start with Audra and Eric.
- 8:08Speaker 1: What ideas do you have so I'm gonna cross out
- 8:10Speaker 1: teammates incorporated. I have a few that I came up with,
- 8:17Speaker 1: Scooby Snacks, nice hex ghouls, the Melvin Doos. I don't
- 8:24Speaker 1: know if that's a joke that only I remember from
- 8:27Speaker 1: the Scooby Doo Live movie. No, I remember that as well,
- 8:30Speaker 1: like I've got a call for mister do Melvin Doo
- 8:35Speaker 1: and then Damon and ritis just sounded like a metal band,
- 8:39Speaker 1: and I was like, that sounds awesome. Oh nice, the
- 8:42Speaker 1: m guffin from the Baby, Yes, and because Colorado the
- 8:46Speaker 1: Scooby Dooby Doos.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Oh that's good. That's good. What about you, Eric, you
- 8:51Speaker 2: got any ideas or do you like any of those?
- 8:53Speaker 3: I really like the Melbourne you like me.
- 8:58Speaker 1: It's just such a good little joke that they have
- 9:02Speaker 1: in that movie, just the way he says it.
- 9:04Speaker 2: He's like Elvis, all right, we got the Melvin Dow's.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I like it. Let's find out who they'll be facing
- 9:11Speaker 2: this evening, Aaron Bent.
- 9:13Speaker 5: I'll go first, get mine out of the way, because
- 9:15Speaker 5: they're not spectacular. I really tried, I really did. I
- 9:20Speaker 5: spent a decent amount of time trying to come up
- 9:22Speaker 5: with team names, and all I got were like two.
- 9:24Speaker 5: And the first one is just and I apologize for
- 9:28Speaker 5: this crappy pooh.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I'm glad you apologized.
- 9:35Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I apologize. And this one is what we
- 9:37Speaker 5: call in the biz a stretch daft me and friend.
- 9:46Speaker 2: I think I heard you pull something during that stress. Yes,
- 9:53Speaker 2: what if you got.
- 9:54Speaker 3: I've got a couple, dude, my hate for scrappy. I
- 9:57Speaker 3: had a crappy dappy do nice nice. I have the
- 10:00Speaker 3: Jinky Winkies to try and get a dick joke, a
- 10:03Speaker 3: Scooby Doo reference, and a Teletopies reference all in one
- 10:07Speaker 3: three three for one. The infamous Orange ascots and those
- 10:13Speaker 3: Medaling Kids.
- 10:15Speaker 2: That's good.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I am disappointed. I didn't also think of those Meddaling Kids.
- 10:19Speaker 2: That's a good name.
- 10:20Speaker 5: I mean, I feel I feel like we're more in
- 10:23Speaker 5: line with the dirty old man behind the mask. But
- 10:28Speaker 5: if any team is going to be the Medaling Kids,
- 10:30Speaker 5: it's not us, but irony. I like Jinky Winkies to
- 10:36Speaker 5: be honest.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I'm always I'm always here for a
- 10:40Speaker 3: dick joke.
- 10:41Speaker 2: You got to go for the low hanging freights.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and the older I get, the lower it hangs.
- 10:47Speaker 3: That's a balls joke. So you have range.
- 10:52Speaker 2: So we're going with the Jinky Winkies.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Wonderful.
- 10:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to say that for the next hour. Yep, right,
- 11:00Speaker 2: we got the Melvin Doos versus the jinky Winkies. A
- 11:02Speaker 2: couple of great names there, all right. And if you're
- 11:05Speaker 2: listening to this and thinking Scooby, don't you mean Melvin do?
- 11:09Speaker 2: I already had the joke that don't worry his order
- 11:12Speaker 2: with a little segment we like to call passing knowledge.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Scooby Doo is an American mystery franchise originally created by
- 11:20Speaker 1: Hannah Barbera in nineteen sixty nine.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Nice talk about low hanging fruit.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Scooby Doo has been a mainstay of popular culture from
- 11:32Speaker 1: then until this day, which is also nice, but for
- 11:35Speaker 1: different reasons this time. The series features four sleuthing teenagers
- 11:39Speaker 1: named Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, and Shaggy Rogers.
- 11:44Speaker 1: And they're talking great name what And they're talking great
- 11:48Speaker 1: Dane named Scooby fucking do Oh? Sorry, who's a swearing
- 11:52Speaker 1: too edgy? Grow up like I did. The team No Mystery, Inc.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Investigates supposedly supernatural creatures through a series of antics and
- 12:05Speaker 1: missteps while traveling in a brightly colored van called the
- 12:09Speaker 1: Mystery Machine. The biggest mystery in that machine is how
- 12:12Speaker 1: they do not have LSD, no matter how many times
- 12:15Speaker 1: I ask the franchise has numerous shows, films, and specials,
- 12:20Speaker 1: all featuring some variation of Scooby Doo in the title,
- 12:24Speaker 1: which totally tracks because if you're the only dog on
- 12:27Speaker 1: earth that can talk, you're probably gonna develop some narcissistic tendencies.
- 12:31Speaker 2: That's true.
- 12:32Speaker 1: In twenty thirteen, TV Guide ranked Scooby Doo as the
- 12:36Speaker 1: fifth greatest TV cartoon of all time, behind icons like
- 12:40Speaker 1: The Simpsons, Looney Tunes, Peanuts, and also shows I don't
- 12:44Speaker 1: care about, like the Flintstones. This prehistoric fucks. So come on, gang,
- 12:50Speaker 1: let's split up into teams and search for clues I
- 12:53Speaker 1: mean points as we play fandemonium.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yes, thank you, audrou Uh. Childhood yeah, absolutely, evisceraated, Fuck
- 13:06Speaker 2: you mom?
- 13:07Speaker 3: Wat what I want now?
- 13:09Speaker 2: You sounded so indignant about the idea of growing up
- 13:11Speaker 2: and then you went straight to fuck you mom.
- 13:14Speaker 1: That was just the energy that I felt like I
- 13:16Speaker 1: needed to bring today. Thank you all for being here
- 13:19Speaker 1: while I.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Express my feeling mission accomplished. Yeah, we're here for it
- 13:23Speaker 2: all right, thank you, Audra. Just before we get to
- 13:26Speaker 2: today's games, I've asked each player to bring in a muse,
- 13:29Speaker 2: something that inspires them or something they'd love from this
- 13:32Speaker 2: particular fandom. Scooby Doo is inspiring to me because well,
- 13:36Speaker 2: his name isn't Scooby don't you?
- 13:43Speaker 1: How dare you?
- 13:45Speaker 3: Oh Aaron God, if you're not too.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Busy crying out to the law, could you tell us
- 13:52Speaker 2: what's inspiring you from Scooby Doo? B doo still cringing?
- 13:55Speaker 5: Okay, so at its heart, one of my favorite stories
- 14:01Speaker 5: of Scooby Doo is the relationship of Shaggy and Scooby.
- 14:05Speaker 5: It's basically a boy and his dog getting into these
- 14:09Speaker 5: crazy situations. So allow me to share. I don't know
- 14:13Speaker 5: if the glare will be too much. That is a
- 14:17Speaker 5: picture of my parents' dog, Maggie, who was with us
- 14:22Speaker 5: for fifteen years. The sweetest girl, the sweetest girl, very
- 14:28Speaker 5: protective of us. I don't think she would go into
- 14:30Speaker 5: a haunted house. She'd be barking at us to stay
- 14:33Speaker 5: with her in the van. Yes, and she'd be right,
- 14:36Speaker 5: but yeah, and she'd be right, but yeah, yeah. When
- 14:41Speaker 5: it comes to like that, that fond feeling of nothing
- 14:46Speaker 5: beats a dog. Honestly, I would love to have a
- 14:49Speaker 5: dog on my own at some point, but it's just
- 14:52Speaker 5: the universe has conspired to not make it happen. So
- 14:56Speaker 5: but I still have my memories, and I still have
- 14:58Speaker 5: these pictures so.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Wonderful, Yes, memories and hopes in the future. Would you
- 15:04Speaker 2: ever get a Great Dane or is that too too
- 15:06Speaker 2: much dog?
- 15:07Speaker 5: I think a Great Dane would be fun, and especially
- 15:10Speaker 5: especially if he's cuddly or she's cuddly, you know, all
- 15:13Speaker 5: That's all I care about.
- 15:14Speaker 3: They generally are. Yeah, big old babies.
- 15:17Speaker 5: Just just just get a big old cuddle pile on
- 15:19Speaker 5: the couch watch Scooby Doo together.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Oh I can't confirm. I had not a Great Dane,
- 15:25Speaker 1: but a very big dog growing up, and it was
- 15:28Speaker 1: such a cuddly dog and it was so good.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Well, that's fantastic, Aaron. Great to be inspired by by
- 15:34Speaker 2: pets that we've had over the years or in the present.
- 15:38Speaker 2: I'd be a dick if I said that wasn't inspiring.
- 15:40Speaker 2: If I was like, I hate dogs right out at
- 15:42Speaker 2: the gates.
- 15:43Speaker 1: We'd kick you off the podcast. I know you host?
- 15:47Speaker 2: Wow, Yeah, good luck, Okay, thank you, Aaron. How about yourself, Ben,
- 15:53Speaker 2: what's inspiring you from Scooby Doo?
- 15:55Speaker 3: I mean, outside of my dogs, I had Great Danes
- 15:59Speaker 3: growing up and yeah, they were very much. They didn't
- 16:03Speaker 3: they never looked like Scooby. They were like merls, like
- 16:06Speaker 3: different colors, but they were. They were fantastic. So like
- 16:09Speaker 3: I honorable mention to my my big old pups, shouts out,
- 16:14Speaker 3: I'm going with something I didn't know existed until like
- 16:16Speaker 3: a week ago when I was playing games with Trev
- 16:19Speaker 3: from a struggling artist.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and he.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Mentioned I mentioned we were doing this and he was like, oh,
- 16:24Speaker 3: what about that? You know, what about the you know,
- 16:26Speaker 3: the supernatural Scooby do crossover. And I was like what
- 16:30Speaker 3: because I never I didn't get that far since season thirteen.
- 16:32Speaker 3: So I went and checked it out and then there's
- 16:34Speaker 3: a it's fucking amazing. Oh wow, they get sucked into
- 16:37Speaker 3: the Scooby do verse.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Okay, oh my god.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Yeah thirteen they were.
- 16:45Speaker 2: They were really, you know, just pulling out all the
- 16:48Speaker 2: weird shit spoilerless for Drewery if you'll listening.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a Scooby Doo episode.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Like the the love they had for Scooby Do is
- 16:55Speaker 3: like it was just when I was watching, it's like, yeah,
- 16:57Speaker 3: this is exactly how I feel about Scooby Doo, Like
- 17:00Speaker 3: I would be stoked. Yeah, I would be just like
- 17:03Speaker 3: there about being sucked into a Scooby Doo episode.
- 17:06Speaker 2: A lot of crossover with those two shows. They do
- 17:08Speaker 2: a lot of the same things.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Yeah, a little bit more Murder and Supernatural just to.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Tad, just a tad, you know, slightly less cool of
- 17:16Speaker 1: a car in Supernatural than the Mystery Machine.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I've always wanted to get an old van and just
- 17:20Speaker 3: paint it real dumb like the Mystery Oh yeah, be
- 17:24Speaker 3: that guy. You could do it.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Don't let the world stop you in the world, it's
- 17:28Speaker 2: my wife. Very inspiring stuff. Thank you the Jinky Winkies
- 17:35Speaker 2: as you are known collectively. But let's see what's inspiring
- 17:38Speaker 2: the Melvin Dews Eric. What's inspiring you from the world
- 17:41Speaker 2: of Scooby do I.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Would say probably the team aspect, because everyone on that
- 17:48Speaker 4: team definitely had had their job, Like, you can't get
- 17:51Speaker 4: the job done without Jaggy and Scoob making some mayhem
- 17:55Speaker 4: straight just want to go as well. And I think
- 17:58Speaker 4: the other thing kind of to go off of Aaron's
- 18:00Speaker 4: born a little bit is that's are awesome. That best
- 18:04Speaker 4: friend is just great to run around with and getting
- 18:07Speaker 4: us some mischief.
- 18:07Speaker 2: With and you a dog owner. I'm not right now,
- 18:11Speaker 2: but you have been a dogner, always a dog owner. Yep.
- 18:13Speaker 4: Had a dog named Butters who was a little too
- 18:16Speaker 4: aggressive for his own good, but he was a lot
- 18:18Speaker 4: of fun. Butters is such a cute name for an
- 18:21Speaker 4: aggressive dog. He was so like mellow and chill when
- 18:25Speaker 4: I got him. Then I brought him home and he
- 18:27Speaker 4: was like watch this.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Oh no, oh, fantastic. Yeah. The team aspect of Scooby
- 18:34Speaker 2: Doo is great, like playing on the classic tropes of Like,
- 18:36Speaker 2: everyone has a role here. It's the it's the brains,
- 18:40Speaker 2: it's the leader, it's the scared ones, and it's Stephanie.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Every every group has has followed that. I feel like
- 18:50Speaker 2: in every TV show for the last sixty years. Fantastic
- 18:54Speaker 2: thing to be inspired by his teamwork. I love it. Last,
- 18:57Speaker 2: but not least, Audro, what's inspiring you from the world
- 18:59Speaker 2: of Scooby.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Do I am inspired by the What's New Scooby Doo
- 19:05Speaker 1: theme song by Simple Plan Nice It still it still slaps.
- 19:12Speaker 1: It's really great for me because it's like has some
- 19:15Speaker 1: nostalgic roots, those like pop punk vibes really speak to
- 19:18Speaker 1: like a part of my soul. And also when I
- 19:22Speaker 1: have a really rough day at work. Sometimes I will
- 19:25Speaker 1: play it as I drive home to just be like,
- 19:28Speaker 1: that was just the end of an episode. Man, onto
- 19:32Speaker 1: the next one. It's all done, that's all in the past.
- 19:35Speaker 1: We're wrapping it up.
- 19:36Speaker 2: That's a really good strategy to just I'm not sure
- 19:39Speaker 2: mine would necessarily be What's new Scooby Do, but like
- 19:41Speaker 2: to play an end credits theme, so like say, no,
- 19:44Speaker 2: that's it, the day is done, It's time for a
- 19:46Speaker 2: new episode tomorrow. That's great.
- 19:48Speaker 6: Huh.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I don't do it every day, just on like specific.
- 19:51Speaker 2: No, that would be mad.
- 19:52Speaker 3: If you don't, that would be that.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Would be wild. But it'll every now and then I'll
- 19:57Speaker 1: be like, boy, this this was a tough busy day.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Do we're coming. It was such an error as well,
- 20:07Speaker 2: like the early two thousands pop punk, Yeah, and it
- 20:10Speaker 2: captures it.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it wasn't even my era of the Scooby Doo Show.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I watched a few of the episodes like at the time,
- 20:16Speaker 1: but it's just like no song hit.
- 20:19Speaker 2: The song hit such a good pop up song.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:22Speaker 4: There's been times I'm going to the gym and I'm
- 20:24Speaker 4: just like, yeah, playing it way too loud, and some
- 20:27Speaker 4: looks at red lights.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Oh, Scooby Doo fan.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't respect anyone who doesn't respect it.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Very inspiring, Audra. I'm feeling so inspired by our players
- 20:39Speaker 2: submissions here. I think it's time for some games. You
- 20:40Speaker 2: already for some games? Yeah, yes, right, teams, it's time
- 20:44Speaker 2: to hop in the van. I'm sorry, but the mystery
- 20:47Speaker 2: machine must have fucking stunk like a dog and bo
- 20:51Speaker 2: of Tina. That must have been a horrible place.
- 20:53Speaker 4: You know.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Some of them were forgetting deodorant.
- 20:55Speaker 4: You just know it.
- 20:56Speaker 2: And it wasn't shaggy.
- 20:58Speaker 3: I'll just say I got a feeling there was a
- 20:59Speaker 3: pretty strong odor of like Pachuli coming out of that thing.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, it was the sixties.
- 21:04Speaker 3: And I was gonna have some hippie stink to it
- 21:06Speaker 3: for sure.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Oh boy, Well, whatever it smells like, we're gonna drive
- 21:10Speaker 2: into round one. Round one is our classic game of deliberation,
- 21:19Speaker 2: elimination and deception that this time we're calling Scooby do
- 21:23Speaker 2: or do not? There is no try.
- 21:26Speaker 1: We made fun of Aaron for a stretch earlier.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Yeah, there's gonna be a lot of stretch this scrore boy. Okay,
- 21:35Speaker 2: I will name a category and offer each of our
- 21:37Speaker 2: teams a list of five things supposedly from that category,
- 21:40Speaker 2: except only three of them are correct. There are two
- 21:43Speaker 2: impostors men in masks, so to speak. Teams will discuss
- 21:47Speaker 2: and select correct answers one by one for a point each,
- 21:50Speaker 2: but select a wrong answer and they'll be frozen out
- 21:53Speaker 2: of the list, like the frozen cavemn in that one
- 21:56Speaker 2: episode of Scooby do I remember. Okay, So the first
- 22:00Speaker 2: category we have is original series monsters. So these are
- 22:03Speaker 2: monsters from the first twenty five episodes of Scooby Doo.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Where are you classic series? And we are going to
- 22:10Speaker 2: start out with a list for the Melvin Dews. So
- 22:13Speaker 2: here are your five. The Black Knight, Red Beard, the
- 22:18Speaker 2: Lizard King, Wax Phantom, and the Ghost of John Adams.
- 22:23Speaker 1: I'm feeling confident about the first two as real.
- 22:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I think the Black Knight was the second or
- 22:30Speaker 4: third episode. The Lizard King I'm not sold on. Yeah,
- 22:34Speaker 4: I remember red Beard.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Yeah, so let's lock in Black Knight and get our
- 22:39Speaker 1: first point.
- 22:39Speaker 2: So confident, but rightly, So the Black Knight is correct
- 22:42Speaker 2: for a point. Good stuff, okay, And.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Then second we're both inking red Beard he was.
- 22:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember red Beard. He feels I feel like
- 22:51Speaker 4: I'm saying that, and you're gonna be like, red Beard
- 22:53Speaker 4: is not real. Whole childhood's over.
- 22:55Speaker 2: That is that is how this game. I usually don't
- 22:59Speaker 2: try and ruin childhoods, but that is usually how this
- 23:01Speaker 2: game works.
- 23:02Speaker 1: We'll lock it in.
- 23:03Speaker 2: I'm feeling confident as well. Oh maybe it was blue
- 23:07Speaker 2: but no, it's right, it is right, be it.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Good stuff, Get out of here.
- 23:11Speaker 6: How do all?
- 23:13Speaker 1: Right?
- 23:13Speaker 2: You got? You got two of three? You left with
- 23:15Speaker 2: the Lizard King, wax Phantom and the ghost of John Adams.
- 23:20Speaker 3: I think it's the ghost of John Adams. It's the
- 23:22Speaker 3: I don't think that one.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Okay, I was thinking wax Phantom as the real yea
- 23:27Speaker 1: ahaps if we're both feeling comfortable.
- 23:30Speaker 3: With that, I am.
- 23:31Speaker 4: I have like a vague memory of something like that,
- 23:33Speaker 4: but it's from the live action, like when they have
- 23:36Speaker 4: all the remember and they have all the monsters.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Like out and there's that melty guy.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Yeah, they show that Melty Guy wasn't John Adams.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I'm feeling most confident about wax Phantom and if it's wrong,
- 23:49Speaker 1: you know, we got two points and that's awesome. But
- 23:51Speaker 1: I'm feeling most confident you're.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Going with Wax Fantom. Yeah, yeah, three for three is
- 23:56Speaker 2: Wax Well remember good stuff? Heck, yes, well done the list,
- 24:01Speaker 2: well done. All right, let's move on over to the
- 24:05Speaker 2: jinky Winkies. There is your list of five original series monsters,
- 24:10Speaker 2: Minor forty niner, Rock Goblin, Spooky Space Cooke, the Demon
- 24:16Speaker 2: of Prosperity, Lake, and Charlie.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Charlie.
- 24:25Speaker 5: Well, I've got bad news. None of these are ringing
- 24:27Speaker 5: a bell at all.
- 24:29Speaker 2: I know I was spot on with their list, and yeah,
- 24:32Speaker 2: again it's the curse of going second.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I don't know if they had like the Demon of
- 24:37Speaker 3: Prosperity like that, Like, I don't know if they got
- 24:39Speaker 3: that long and descriptive with their names that early on.
- 24:43Speaker 3: But I'm feeling Spooky Space Cooke a little bit. And
- 24:47Speaker 3: there was definitely one with like an old minor guy.
- 24:50Speaker 3: He may have been called Minor forty nine er.
- 24:52Speaker 5: I mean, I can I can see that one. Uh,
- 24:55Speaker 5: Kooky Space Coke seems.
- 25:00Speaker 3: It's it sounds Scooby Doo namey. But like there was
- 25:02Speaker 3: that guy that like he had like the space helmet.
- 25:05Speaker 3: I was hoping you'd have like the dude in the
- 25:07Speaker 3: diving Bill Suit remember him?
- 25:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Yes, he's a famous one. Would have been good
- 25:11Speaker 2: if I had him on the list, you'd have had
- 25:13Speaker 2: a point already.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Unless he's the Demon of Prosperity Lake.
- 25:18Speaker 5: Oh, wouldn't that makes sense? Wouldn't that make sense? I
- 25:23Speaker 5: don't know.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Part of me wants to go with Charlie just because, yeah, like, is.
- 25:27Speaker 3: That one of the names of the guy? Like, No,
- 25:29Speaker 3: it was old man Charlie. He was the real monster
- 25:33Speaker 3: all along.
- 25:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know. Let's go with Let's go with
- 25:38Speaker 5: Spooky Space Cooke because I feel like we've got enough
- 25:41Speaker 5: on that to go for it.
- 25:43Speaker 2: All right, go with Spooky Space Cooke. It does indeed
- 25:46Speaker 2: sound Scooby do like because it is from the original series.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Good stuff. That's a point.
- 25:50Speaker 5: Do you want to go with Minor forty nine or second?
- 25:52Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the only other one I've got some confidence in.
- 25:54Speaker 5: Okay, I'll go with you on that, all right.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Mina forty nine er that was an old minor character
- 25:59Speaker 2: and he was called forty niner Good stuff?
- 26:02Speaker 5: Heyts So that leaves the Demon of Prosperity Lake, Charlie,
- 26:07Speaker 5: and the one I've completely forgotten about, rock Goblin Goblin.
- 26:12Speaker 3: I don't remember a rock goblin, but I don't remember
- 26:14Speaker 3: lots of things.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Sounds like he eats rocks. I know this is your thing, Goblin.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Goblings be goblin.
- 26:25Speaker 5: You want to go for Charlie, just for silly points
- 26:28Speaker 5: if nothing else, I mean, if you're not feeling demon
- 26:30Speaker 5: of prosperity Lake, Let's go with Charlie.
- 26:33Speaker 3: The diving bell dude was more of a ghost than
- 26:35Speaker 3: a demon, right, demon, All.
- 26:38Speaker 5: Right, Let's let's go with Charlie.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Go with Charlie.
- 26:41Speaker 2: The monster name Charlie. Yes, I believe it was some
- 26:47Speaker 2: kind of robot that was known as Charlie. Like it
- 26:49Speaker 2: stood for something Wow, like C H A R I E.
- 26:53Speaker 2: I think I missed an L.
- 26:55Speaker 5: That's sure.
- 26:56Speaker 2: It was three points. Good stuff.
- 26:59Speaker 5: The L probably stand up humanoid automaton robot, Yeah, left inside.
- 27:06Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 27:08Speaker 2: That's probably better than what they had. All right, let's
- 27:11Speaker 2: let's move on to a new category. This pretty quickly. Sorry,
- 27:17Speaker 2: this time, we're gonna look the first half was great
- 27:19Speaker 2: there Yeah, no, no, I was making I We're gonna
- 27:21Speaker 2: look at direct to video movie subtitles. So this is
- 27:26Speaker 2: director video in the sense of VHS, DVD and streaming.
- 27:29Speaker 2: So the full nineteen ninety eight to twenty twenty three
- 27:33Speaker 2: the subtitles of direct two video mo movies.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Okay, I wouldn't have been able to tell you that
- 27:39Speaker 3: there was six of them, so that's not a good sign.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 27:44Speaker 2: We're gonna go back on over to the Melvindus for
- 27:46Speaker 2: their list first, and just imagine Scooby Doo in front
- 27:49Speaker 2: of all of these. This is the subtitle fright on
- 27:53Speaker 2: Food Network WrestleMania Mystery. In dude, where's my Nessie? And
- 28:00Speaker 2: the cyber chase and the sword and the scoob So
- 28:05Speaker 2: I know there's a.
- 28:06Speaker 1: WrestleMania one'm and I'm going to assume that that's what
- 28:10Speaker 1: it's called. Is my best guess for like a do
- 28:14Speaker 1: you have anything that you're initially like, Oh, yeah, that's
- 28:17Speaker 1: probably one.
- 28:18Speaker 4: I think the WrestleMania one. I'm also a little bit
- 28:21Speaker 4: torn towards the Food Network one. I feel like that
- 28:25Speaker 4: could have been.
- 28:25Speaker 7: That would have been a rood.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Yeah, a great crossover for Shaggy and Scooby. So let's
- 28:31Speaker 1: start with WrestleMania.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Starting with WrestleMania Mystery. Yes, they did a crossover in
- 28:37Speaker 2: twenty fourteen. It was Scooby Do at WrestleMania.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Good on him. We'll have to watch that this year
- 28:43Speaker 1: during WrestleMania season.
- 28:46Speaker 3: When's the season for that?
- 28:49Speaker 2: But now it's going to be held in Saudi Arabia,
- 28:51Speaker 2: so I don't have the month changes.
- 28:53Speaker 1: So whenever the Saudi Royal, whenever they want it to
- 28:55Speaker 1: happen to me, is when it's.
- 28:56Speaker 7: Going to be.
- 28:58Speaker 1: And whenever I want to watch Scooby Do us for Mania,
- 29:00Speaker 1: that's when that will be. That's on your time, right,
- 29:03Speaker 1: So you got one two more left to find. I
- 29:05Speaker 1: am feeling best about the Food Network one, so am
- 29:08Speaker 1: I and I think the cyber Chase. So let's start.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Start with the Food Network one. Unless you've got any opposition, go.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Start with the Food Network one. Yeah, I'm so sorry
- 29:21Speaker 2: that crossover never happened. We got off first Scooby Voice.
- 29:26Speaker 5: It was the Cyberchase and Sword in the Scoob right, Yes,
- 29:33Speaker 5: I had all three was done. I was like, oh man, so.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Just one point there. You didn't fall for dude, where's
- 29:40Speaker 2: my nesty? But you fell for fright on Food Network
- 29:43Speaker 2: because it just felt like such a good Yeah. Right,
- 29:45Speaker 2: it's a good opportunity. Yeah, I'll write to Warner Brothers friends.
- 29:53Speaker 2: I don't know if they respond, but you just get
- 29:56Speaker 2: a template message. I wonder if it's like you send
- 29:59Speaker 2: it to them like when you used to write Santa.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Do you miss the Warner brother I will not be
- 30:09Speaker 2: sitting on your lap. Just move out already. Oh fantastic,
- 30:16Speaker 2: Well only one point there. If patterns are a thing,
- 30:19Speaker 2: I'm not going to know a clue about our list.
- 30:21Speaker 2: So yes, we'll see how this this goes. Here is
- 30:25Speaker 2: your list, Jinky Winkies, Cadabra do, Legend of the Phantosaur,
- 30:31Speaker 2: Super Scoob, Mystery, Lost in Time, and Kiss in a
- 30:36Speaker 2: Rock and Roll Mystery.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Okay, okay, kiss, Yeah, I've seen that one.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Whoa straight in that?
- 30:43Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 30:43Speaker 2: Kiss is real for sure? Let's go with that, all right, Yep,
- 30:46Speaker 2: kiss is reel.
- 30:48Speaker 3: You both know it.
- 30:48Speaker 2: You've both seen it was a good it was I
- 30:51Speaker 2: recall it being okay, but not any better than that?
- 30:54Speaker 3: Fair enoughovers that weren't always the best.
- 30:58Speaker 2: No, no, but it's on you A points too left
- 31:01Speaker 2: to find.
- 31:01Speaker 5: I also feel pretty good about Legend of the Phantossor okay, yeah,
- 31:06Speaker 5: like Super Scoob spoke to me slightly but with uh
- 31:10Speaker 5: minimal cuff. I'm iffy on that one, but I'm I'm
- 31:13Speaker 5: pretty confident that Legend of the Fantosor was one.
- 31:16Speaker 3: All right? Happy with that?
- 31:17Speaker 4: Ben?
- 31:18Speaker 2: Going with Legend of the fantasol h yep, let's do it?
- 31:21Speaker 3: It is right? Yeah?
- 31:22Speaker 2: Two out with three good stuff twenty eleven. Okay, if
- 31:24Speaker 2: you're interested, So Super Scoob remind me of the last
- 31:28Speaker 2: of the other two. Yes, you have Apraka Dabra Do
- 31:31Speaker 2: and Mystery Lost in Time, and of course Super Scoob.
- 31:36Speaker 5: Mystery Lost in Time I don't think is real. That's
- 31:40Speaker 5: I mean, even for a Scooby Doo title, that's generic
- 31:43Speaker 5: once again, once again throwing shade on Matt all of
- 31:48Speaker 5: the creators of Scooby Doo or the creators of Scooby Doo. Yeah, no,
- 31:51Speaker 5: that's fair.
- 31:52Speaker 4: Ben.
- 31:53Speaker 5: You want to go with Super Scoob, I'm not. I'm
- 31:54Speaker 5: not sure about any of them, to be fair, So
- 31:56Speaker 5: I'll go with you if you feel good about that one.
- 31:58Speaker 3: Uh yeah, yeah, it's I mean, I could see Abraca
- 32:02Speaker 3: Debra Do or whatever as well, but yeah, we just
- 32:06Speaker 3: got to pick.
- 32:06Speaker 5: It's it feels fifty to fifty to me, So let's
- 32:09Speaker 5: let's go with Super Scoop going with Super Scoob Scooby
- 32:13Speaker 5: Doo during the Superhero Zeitgeist.
- 32:14Speaker 2: It didn't happen. It didn't happen. Sorry it is Abraka
- 32:18Speaker 2: Debrado is the other one. Yeah, two points, good stuff.
- 32:22Speaker 5: We'll take its Zink Scoob.
- 32:27Speaker 2: If everyone could give reads of that, I'll just like
- 32:30Speaker 2: edit them in throughout the whole episode. Zeincs and the
- 32:37Speaker 2: bit's done. We're gonna move on to our third and
- 32:39Speaker 2: final category. It is official songs released by the Hex Girls.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Are we all familiar with the Hex Girls?
- 32:46Speaker 1: Yes, but I only probably know one.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Okay, well, these were official songs that were released by
- 32:53Speaker 2: the Hex Girls, as in, the band that plays the
- 32:55Speaker 2: Hex Girls recorded songs with this title. Okay, so uh
- 33:00Speaker 2: we are going to start with the Melvin Dow's. Here
- 33:04Speaker 2: is your list of five. Earth wind Fire and Air,
- 33:08Speaker 2: Look of Medusa, Petrified Bride, gonna Hex you good, those
- 33:15Speaker 2: Meddling kids. Those are your five.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I do think the first one, the earth wind Fire
- 33:22Speaker 1: and Air. I think that's the main one.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I remember something, Yeah, I like that Planet crossover.
- 33:30Speaker 2: I didn't I didn't get Captain Planet, so I wouldn't
- 33:33Speaker 2: be surprised.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I couldn't tell you, but I feel like that feels.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Like one of them.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Okay, you're on with earth Wind, Fire and Air. Yes,
- 33:39Speaker 2: that is the probably the main Hex Girls song.
- 33:41Speaker 4: I think you're right, Okay, after Dousa, I'm unsure on Okay,
- 33:47Speaker 4: I feel like gonna hex you.
- 33:50Speaker 1: It was said, and I was like, yeah, they are
- 33:55Speaker 1: tapped into something from my child.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Now, just because you want something doesn't mean it's correct. No,
- 34:00Speaker 2: but I like not that works apparently what I've been
- 34:05Speaker 2: living my life as a lie.
- 34:08Speaker 1: But it felt like when he said it, I was like, yeah,
- 34:10Speaker 1: that like hits in a part of my childhood to
- 34:13Speaker 1: be like, yeah they are, they're gonna hex you.
- 34:17Speaker 2: So you going with gonna hex you?
- 34:18Speaker 3: Good?
- 34:18Speaker 2: Yes, it's incorrect. I'm so sorry, frozen out of the list.
- 34:23Speaker 1: I let us down. It hit it is, it's a song.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Now we're gonna we're gonna write you.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Can write the song.
- 34:30Speaker 2: I'm I'm pretty sure that happened. Yeah, we're gonnah, you're
- 34:33Speaker 2: questioning the legitimacy of the Scooby Doo Wikipedia page.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 34:37Speaker 1: We're going to write a letter. We're gonna write a
- 34:39Speaker 1: letter of the Hex Girls and they're going to release
- 34:41Speaker 1: the song.
- 34:42Speaker 5: On never Lies.
- 34:45Speaker 6: What uh So?
- 34:49Speaker 2: The two that were correct were Petrified Bride and those
- 34:52Speaker 2: Meddling Kids were two of the songs they recorded. Look
- 34:56Speaker 2: at Meducy you managed to avoid but gonna hex you
- 34:59Speaker 2: good trip dang all right? Time for time for a
- 35:02Speaker 2: list of Hex Girls songs for the jinky Winkies. Let's
- 35:05Speaker 2: see how you guys do here. It is hex hex hex,
- 35:14Speaker 2: Trap of Love, Good Bad Girls who do Voodoo and
- 35:20Speaker 2: Midnight Moon.
- 35:22Speaker 3: I haven't a Scooby Noby blind guesses.
- 35:29Speaker 5: What sounds like a good song? I kind of like
- 35:31Speaker 5: good bad girls, do you know? Yeah? Yeah, that's every
- 35:36Speaker 5: sense of that state.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Aaron stands by what he completely stand by it. You
- 35:42Speaker 2: going with good bad Girls?
- 35:43Speaker 5: Sign an affid sure, And.
- 35:45Speaker 2: With that affid, David signed, it's correct for our bonds.
- 35:50Speaker 5: Okay, at least we're not striking out. But I still
- 35:52Speaker 5: have no clue about the others.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Yeah, hex hex hex sounds a little on the nose,
- 35:56Speaker 3: especially because.
- 35:58Speaker 5: You good was real.
- 35:59Speaker 3: But maybe that's fair.
- 36:01Speaker 5: Maybe that's math's turn around.
- 36:03Speaker 3: There was one more that I thought maybe sounded legit.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Could you read them one more time? Absolutely, you've got
- 36:09Speaker 3: Trap of Love, Who Do Voodoo? Midnight Moon, and of
- 36:13Speaker 3: course hex Hex Hex?
- 36:15Speaker 5: Oh man, I'm sorry, hecks Hex just funny.
- 36:21Speaker 3: I mean trap of Love. You know Fred Love's traps.
- 36:25Speaker 2: No, no, emphatically putting my foot down.
- 36:29Speaker 5: No, that's terrible.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Would I lay a trap with the word trap in it?
- 36:34Speaker 5: You would? I'm feeling hexx hex or what was the
- 36:39Speaker 5: last one?
- 36:40Speaker 3: Midnight Moon Moon?
- 36:42Speaker 5: Yah, that's interesting enough that I feel like that could work.
- 36:46Speaker 5: You think let's go hex x X.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Yeah for silly points, let's go hexx. It worked with Charlie.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Surely silly points work. I'm so sorry Hex. Not a
- 36:57Speaker 2: real song by the Hex spells, so that we could
- 37:00Speaker 2: just be like, that's yeah, I did look it up.
- 37:05Speaker 1: I put a spell on you from probably what I
- 37:11Speaker 1: was thinking.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Maybe sane.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's Bett Middler.
- 37:14Speaker 5: It's a banger.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a Trap of Love was real? And
- 37:21Speaker 2: Who Do Voodoo was the other one? I remember?
- 37:23Speaker 5: Soon was also wrong? Yeah, between the two going all wrong?
- 37:29Speaker 3: Well oh well, oh well that's the end of round one.
- 37:32Speaker 2: That's a good transition. Let's ask the always intelligent Velma
- 37:38Speaker 2: to calculate the latest scores. It's just the clever character
- 37:41Speaker 2: in the franchise. There's no joke there. The Melvin DU's
- 37:43Speaker 2: are on five points. The Jinky Winkies are on six points. Close,
- 37:49Speaker 2: pretty close, pretty close.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Up.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Next is round two, after some ads. If you want
- 37:54Speaker 2: to hear our show without ads, subscribe for free on Patreon.
- 37:57Speaker 2: There's a link in the show notes, or consider support
- 38:00Speaker 2: our production to get access to video and bonus episodes. Okay,
- 38:04Speaker 2: that was my ad. Now please enjoy these ads from
- 38:06Speaker 2: less ethical companies. Then I'll get to check. Round two
- 38:16Speaker 2: is called Mass Tasker. It's our chaotic game of mini
- 38:20Speaker 2: challenges where each team will have five minutes to complete
- 38:23Speaker 2: a list of ten Scooby Doo themed tasks for a
- 38:27Speaker 2: maximum of ten points. Ordra ripping off some paper in
- 38:31Speaker 2: preparation for the challenges.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Yes, so they can write down the numbers that we've done.
- 38:38Speaker 3: I mean, that's it.
- 38:38Speaker 2: The game couldn't get more simple. It's just complete these
- 38:41Speaker 2: tasks in five minutes. I'm tempted, because Eric is a
- 38:44Speaker 2: new player, I'm tempted to have the Jinky Winkies go first,
- 38:49Speaker 2: But ultimately I suppose by the rules the Melvin Doos
- 38:51Speaker 2: you get to decide who goes first. Would you like
- 38:53Speaker 2: your opponents to go first.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Ooh, we have gone first in a couple and so
- 39:00Speaker 1: I mean we could mix it up. We could mix
- 39:02Speaker 1: it up.
- 39:02Speaker 2: All right, we'll have We'll have the Jinky Winkies go first.
- 39:05Speaker 2: You ready, guys, Yeah?
- 39:07Speaker 3: Always, all right.
- 39:08Speaker 2: I've written two lists here. Would you like the Scooby
- 39:11Speaker 2: list or the Shaggy list? Ooh, I'm filming the Scooby
- 39:16Speaker 2: list personally. I mean, he's the star of the show.
- 39:19Speaker 2: He wouldn't do us wrong. Surely not surely Scooby, that
- 39:24Speaker 2: totally would. But Scooby will Scooby never not deliberately. All right.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Ten challenges to complete. He is a good boy. Ten
- 39:32Speaker 2: challenges to complete. Five minutes on the clock, kind of
- 39:36Speaker 2: my pen back, ordro fine, you have five minutes. Your
- 39:40Speaker 2: time starts now six six From this point forward, one
- 39:46Speaker 2: of you must talk like Shaggy.
- 39:48Speaker 5: Oh no, School number two?
- 39:51Speaker 2: All right?
- 39:51Speaker 3: Number two.
- 39:52Speaker 2: One of you must find and wear a Halloween mask
- 39:55Speaker 2: for the rest of the game.
- 39:57Speaker 5: Oh no, I don't have one.
- 39:58Speaker 3: School. I'll go not something. I'm terrified.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Three I love where Shaggy's from. Uh name the five
- 40:07Speaker 2: main n I didn't think that's true. Number three name
- 40:17Speaker 2: the five main members of Mystery Ink in alphabetical order.
- 40:23Speaker 2: It's a thinker m hm, Daphne, yep, friend yep, Scoomy,
- 40:31Speaker 2: Shaggy Velma. Yes, that's a that's a point. Good stuff.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Four four using a roll of toilet paper. One of
- 40:38Speaker 2: you must become a mummy before the end of the game.
- 40:44Speaker 2: I'll go get the toilet paper, all right. Ben's got
- 40:47Speaker 2: the Halloween mask. Ben, give me some numbers, Ben, one, one, eight,
- 40:52Speaker 2: nine and ten are free.
- 40:55Speaker 3: Okay. One one.
- 40:56Speaker 2: You're not gonna like this, Ben, Construct and eat a sandwich.
- 41:00Speaker 2: The sandwich can be whatever you want. Bonus point for
- 41:02Speaker 2: best sandwich.
- 41:03Speaker 3: There's gonna be a lot of dead air here. Yeah,
- 41:06Speaker 3: maybe you go for different numbers if you want. Five.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Five, Draw a picture of Scrappy Do and show it
- 41:12Speaker 2: to camera. Nice Ben's working on number five. Seven seven.
- 41:22Speaker 2: Perform a thirty second spoken word poetry version of the
- 41:26Speaker 2: Scooby Doo theme song.
- 41:28Speaker 3: They're scrappy huhti dead Christ.
- 41:32Speaker 2: That's a point where I recognize it as scrappy.
- 41:36Speaker 3: Sorry, Scooby, Scooby Do, where are you? We We've got
- 41:43Speaker 3: some work to do now. There's all these ghosts and
- 41:50Speaker 3: ghouls and you need to be here for that. Yeah,
- 41:56Speaker 3: just like slam poetry.
- 41:57Speaker 5: I love it.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Eight eight Find a book that reasonably looks like thenchroma
- 42:05Speaker 2: Con and show it to camera while Aaron's wrapping himself
- 42:08Speaker 2: in toilet paper.
- 42:09Speaker 3: And we also need to make and eat a sandwich.
- 42:13Speaker 2: You've still got some numbers left.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Yeah, let's go for nine and then I'll think about
- 42:17Speaker 3: what I got.
- 42:17Speaker 6: Nine.
- 42:18Speaker 2: One of you must say jinkies at least every eighteen
- 42:20Speaker 2: seconds for the rest of the game. Jinky ten. Find
- 42:26Speaker 2: your glasses. If you're wearing glasses, lose them and find
- 42:29Speaker 2: them again. Nice oky, you found your glasses. Good stuff.
- 42:37Speaker 3: Good Aaron, I'll go make a sandwich. You you find
- 42:41Speaker 3: the chronomicon.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Yep, that's my favorite out of contact sentence on this podcast.
- 42:47Speaker 1: I think you find the nichronomicron. I'm gonna go make
- 42:51Speaker 1: a sandwich.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Hey, they're making good time. There's ninety seconds left to
- 42:55Speaker 2: do those two things.
- 42:56Speaker 3: What's an ecronomic on them?
- 42:58Speaker 4: Like?
- 42:58Speaker 5: Schoo meo?
- 42:59Speaker 2: Now East, cause Shaggy is amazing.
- 43:04Speaker 7: Doesould look like the wild Arms three state?
- 43:11Speaker 2: I wouldn't call that then achroma con Personally, I'm not convinced,
- 43:15Speaker 2: but you do have seventy seconds left to potentially find one.
- 43:22Speaker 2: It's I'm worried about what I can get people to
- 43:25Speaker 2: do sometimes.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Does it ever concern you the power that you have?
- 43:29Speaker 6: Bit?
- 43:29Speaker 2: It does a little bit.
- 43:31Speaker 3: What's it like?
- 43:31Speaker 2: God, it's fun when you get to see people stumble
- 43:35Speaker 2: around covered in toilet paper.
- 43:38Speaker 3: Well, bad news, Erin, I don't have any, but I
- 43:42Speaker 3: have this book. Looks kind of spooky.
- 43:44Speaker 2: Oh that look, I think that looks like an a
- 43:46Speaker 2: chroma con.
- 43:46Speaker 3: I'm giving you the point for that. I see an
- 43:48Speaker 3: a chroma con.
- 43:50Speaker 2: So you've got thirty seconds to somehow convince me of
- 43:53Speaker 2: eating a sandwiches.
- 43:54Speaker 7: I got trapped.
- 43:57Speaker 5: Incredible, how's the net circus? Nice and dark and black
- 44:04Speaker 5: and eerie?
- 44:05Speaker 2: Ben brought a convincing n chromic con back, but he apologized.
- 44:09Speaker 2: He apologizes for a lack of sandwich.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Scoom, you son of a bitch.
- 44:17Speaker 2: All right, that's your time, That is your five minutes up.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Fantastic work, both of you. Thank you so much for
- 44:25Speaker 2: scrabbling around like that.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Well I just realized no longer have lenses in them,
- 44:31Speaker 3: so I don't know where they ended up. I'm so
- 44:35Speaker 3: sorry if I broke your glasses. It's very thematic.
- 44:38Speaker 2: It's okay, we've got to address that was fantastic work,
- 44:44Speaker 2: excellent stuff, Aaron, Your mummy was fantastic. You were You
- 44:47Speaker 2: were more toilet paper than man at one point, and
- 44:51Speaker 2: it was an iconic Halloween mass. Ben, sorry that the
- 44:55Speaker 2: sorry that the sandwich didn't work out, So no point
- 44:57Speaker 2: for the sandwich. And there was a pretty long gap
- 45:00Speaker 2: at one point, longer than eighteen seconds without a Jinky's.
- 45:03Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 45:03Speaker 5: I only realized when I went looking for the book
- 45:05Speaker 5: that neither of us would be at the microphone.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Yeah, which would you believe that I screamed jinkies when
- 45:09Speaker 3: I realized I had no bread.
- 45:14Speaker 5: I have no I have no bread either, but I
- 45:15Speaker 5: have uncrustables in the freezer. I would have had to
- 45:17Speaker 5: eat it frozen.
- 45:20Speaker 1: You would have taken a by you.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Yeah, we would have.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Been like hell, yeah, point.
- 45:24Speaker 2: I'm gonna I'm gonna say because I didn't hear that, jinkies, Ben,
- 45:27Speaker 2: I'm going to say out of ten.
- 45:29Speaker 3: That's fine. I was lying about it anyway.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Oh good, We are going to move on. You can
- 45:36Speaker 2: breathe now, guys, you are done. We are going to
- 45:40Speaker 2: move on to the shaggy list. For the Melvin. Does
- 45:43Speaker 2: you guys ready, Yes, and I can do the running
- 45:47Speaker 2: around of the perfect Yes, Eric is in our house,
- 45:50Speaker 2: so it is less likely to know. I like, I
- 45:53Speaker 2: don't know.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Just send him on a wild goose.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Yeah, go find a Halloween mask the house. Run which
- 46:01Speaker 1: rooms are okay to go in?
- 46:03Speaker 2: Which aren't? So the Melvin Dow's. You can have five
- 46:07Speaker 2: minutes on the clock. Yes, are you ready?
- 46:09Speaker 3: I think so.
- 46:10Speaker 2: It's time starts now? Uh three three perform a thirty
- 46:15Speaker 2: second version of the Scooby Doo lyrics as though it's
- 46:17Speaker 2: being read by newsreaders off a teleprompter.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Scooby dooey Doo, where are you? We've got some news
- 46:24Speaker 1: for some something for you to do now, Scooby Dooby do.
- 46:30Speaker 1: I see you out on the highways in a high
- 46:34Speaker 1: speed chase driving a car.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Fantastic. That's good enough for me. There's a point five
- 46:42Speaker 2: five from this point forward. One of you must talk
- 46:45Speaker 2: like Scooby Doo for me to take this one.
- 46:48Speaker 1: Hell yeah, ro.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Six six Draw a picture of the mystery machine and
- 46:54Speaker 2: show it to camera.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Ooh, can you draw rou.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Seven constricts and eat a sandwich? Bonus point for the
- 47:06Speaker 2: best sandwich.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna go do that.
- 47:11Speaker 2: I just need to hear more numbers and I'll give
- 47:12Speaker 2: you more challenges. One uh, find something that reasonably looks
- 47:18Speaker 2: like a cursed amulet and show it to camera.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Or four.
- 47:25Speaker 2: They're all searching ones using only coats and jackets. One
- 47:28Speaker 2: of you must become the abominable Snowmen before the end
- 47:30Speaker 2: of the game. You are working on the Mystery Machine, though,
- 47:38Speaker 2: so Scooby Doo.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I buy that.
- 47:42Speaker 2: I see somewhat of camera. It'll show up in post.
- 47:46Speaker 2: I'm sure have a cursed ambulet. Okay, We're shown my
- 47:52Speaker 2: machine and.
- 47:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna make a sandwich. You broke my ambulat.
- 47:57Speaker 2: That that is my fault.
- 47:58Speaker 1: You're cursed spoken.
- 48:02Speaker 7: Two two.
- 48:04Speaker 2: One of you must say zoinks at least every eighteen
- 48:06Speaker 2: seconds for the rest of the game.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Royce, three, four or five, nine, eight eight.
- 48:15Speaker 2: Name the five main members of Mystery and in alphabetical
- 48:18Speaker 2: order by surname.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Blake, Daphney Blake, Yes, Scooby do if we are no
- 48:27Speaker 1: start again, Daphney Blake yep. What, Velma Dinkley nice good?
- 48:36Speaker 1: Scooby Do yes, Fred Jones yes, Shaggy Rogers Yes, that's
- 48:42Speaker 1: five for five. I talk about the sandwich.
- 48:47Speaker 3: Very good. You made a sandwich, took the sandwich.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Jackets, what do we need?
- 48:55Speaker 5: What is that?
- 48:56Speaker 2: One of you must using only courts and jackets. One
- 48:58Speaker 2: of you must become the abominable snowman.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Oh shit me?
- 49:02Speaker 2: And you still have nine and ten left, right, You're
- 49:06Speaker 2: not gonna like them because they're all fetching things. One
- 49:08Speaker 2: of you must find and wear an ascot or something
- 49:11Speaker 2: that can be described as an ascot for the rest
- 49:13Speaker 2: of the game.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Gotcha, toys. I like your thinking, and.
- 49:20Speaker 2: I think there is ten left as well. Toys, find
- 49:23Speaker 2: and wear something fashionably purple? All right. They're working on
- 49:27Speaker 2: about five different fetch challenges right now, seconds left, minute
- 49:33Speaker 2: and twenty left, and ascot is being formed. Looks similar
- 49:40Speaker 2: to the thing that hung scrappy. Do I love that ascot?
- 49:46Speaker 3: Are you implicating fred AND's murder jackets and purple toys?
- 49:51Speaker 2: Something fashionably purple? Let me just check to see if
- 49:54Speaker 2: anything's missing here. These soft skin be zons happening, Rokie ball, it's.
- 50:06Speaker 3: Purple purple, one purple, I believe.
- 50:11Speaker 2: One probably that is fashionably purple. It's like a lilac, right, yes,
- 50:19Speaker 2: that's a purple. Good stuff. You've got twenty seconds lefts
- 50:24Speaker 2: what do we have left that we have not? I
- 50:27Speaker 2: think that's everything? Ship yeah there, oh yeah, let's don't
- 50:35Speaker 2: use your final seven seconds.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Good stuffs.
- 50:42Speaker 3: All right, great.
- 50:43Speaker 2: Stuff, great work, good job constructing a sandwich, and great
- 50:48Speaker 2: stuff for doing loads of running about. Thank you, ex
- 50:52Speaker 2: excellent work work. Eric improvising a an ascot there out
- 50:56Speaker 2: of sympathy for Aaron.
- 50:58Speaker 3: I think I'm just gonna keep mine out some solidarity here.
- 51:03Speaker 2: This is nice rock in the and if anyone is
- 51:06Speaker 2: not watching the video, Eric takes his shirt off in this,
- 51:09Speaker 2: so they go reason to subscribe. So there is one
- 51:14Speaker 2: thing I do have to address, though, I don't know
- 51:16Speaker 2: if you guys picked up on this right right at
- 51:18Speaker 2: the start. It was an excellent Scooby Doo impression. It
- 51:22Speaker 2: was so good and I'm sorry that I have to
- 51:24Speaker 2: do this to use as a new player. I did
- 51:27Speaker 2: say from this point forward, and then you asked shall
- 51:29Speaker 2: I do it?
- 51:34Speaker 5: So I'm s did pick up on that, but I
- 51:36Speaker 5: wasn't going to say anything because it was he held
- 51:38Speaker 5: it for the entire time.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Did hold it for the entire time?
- 51:42Speaker 7: Is true?
- 51:43Speaker 1: Villain of the piece.
- 51:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 51:44Speaker 3: Yeah. When he said that, I was I was like, oh,
- 51:46Speaker 3: I oder picked up on that and jumps in with
- 51:48Speaker 3: a Scooby Do impression.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Right now, I didn't.
- 51:51Speaker 2: But look, and you were gone for most of it,
- 51:54Speaker 2: so you really should have done. You really carried our
- 51:57Speaker 2: team on that point that out I didn't do.
- 52:01Speaker 1: He drew a mystery machine. You gave our teeth, the
- 52:04Speaker 1: shirt off your back, shit.
- 52:12Speaker 3: All accept that.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Hell yeah, but look, out of ten you got nine,
- 52:15Speaker 2: nine out of ten fantastic stuff. Incredible, And I really
- 52:18Speaker 2: that only was a technicality and I enjoy being a
- 52:21Speaker 2: deck so it's more than we got.
- 52:23Speaker 3: That is the end of the round.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Let's ask the creepy janitor to calculate the latest scores.
- 52:29Speaker 2: He didn't do anything wrong. He's just a regular dude.
- 52:32Speaker 2: These rich kids are just scared of blue collar workers.
- 52:36Speaker 2: It's never the janitor. Okay, the Melvin Dues you are
- 52:39Speaker 2: on fourteen points, and the Jinky Winkies you are also
- 52:43Speaker 2: on fourteen points. It's all tied up. Oh hot dang.
- 52:46Speaker 2: Round three next. After these ads for deworming medicine, they
- 52:50Speaker 2: never animated the scenes of Shaggy pulling a tapeworm out
- 52:53Speaker 2: of Scooby's asshole, but they happened, They happened.
- 53:04Speaker 3: Round three is.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Called fan Fickle. It's a new version of our fill
- 53:08Speaker 2: in the blank fan fiction game where I'd now like
- 53:11Speaker 2: our players to offer suggestions for how famous fan fix
- 53:15Speaker 2: might end. So I will read an extract from a
- 53:17Speaker 2: popular piece of Scooby Doo fan fiction. I would like
- 53:20Speaker 2: each player to fill in the blank at the end
- 53:23Speaker 2: of the extract. Points for the answer that makes me
- 53:26Speaker 2: laugh the most, but bonus points for being close or
- 53:29Speaker 2: having the same sentiment as the author, and maybe I'll
- 53:32Speaker 2: throw out a bunch of points for you guys making
- 53:34Speaker 2: me laugh. I'm feeling in a good mood after being
- 53:36Speaker 2: very cruel to Eric tell most people. And for the
- 53:43Speaker 2: sake of this fan fiction, let's imagine these characters are
- 53:46Speaker 2: at the age they are in Scooby Doo Monsters unleashed,
- 53:49Speaker 2: like knocking on the door of thirty, because that's how
- 53:52Speaker 2: I've got to hope these authors imagine. Oh no, So
- 53:58Speaker 2: this first fan fiction is called stand by Me. In
- 54:01Speaker 2: August of nineteen sixty nine, mystery solvers Fred Daphney, Shaggy,
- 54:05Speaker 2: and Velma mourn the end of their summer vacation when
- 54:08Speaker 2: both Fred and Shaggy are drafted into the Vietnam War.
- 54:12Speaker 5: What hot?
- 54:14Speaker 2: All right? And here is your extract? Fred is taking
- 54:17Speaker 2: his time getting up. He doesn't look at Daphney. The
- 54:20Speaker 2: Redhead picks up one of her shoes and slips it on.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Before she can get to the other. Fred has it.
- 54:26Speaker 2: He's on his knees with Daphne standing over him. Fred
- 54:29Speaker 2: doesn't know why, but he holds the shoe out to
- 54:32Speaker 2: help Dafty put it on. Daphne slips her stocking clad
- 54:36Speaker 2: foot inside gently. Fred blushes when blank? Fred blushes when blank?
- 54:44Speaker 2: What does Fred blush when?
- 54:46Speaker 1: First thought? Best thought, that's what I'm going?
- 54:49Speaker 2: Oh god, always, I have a sandwich? You you do?
- 54:53Speaker 1: You have a sandwich that bread and bread and a
- 54:57Speaker 1: snacking cheese.
- 55:00Speaker 2: And all right, baby bell wheel, it's a it's a
- 55:04Speaker 2: it's a Tillamo rectangle.
- 55:07Speaker 1: Sharp white, cheddar delicious, not sponsored.
- 55:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I shouldn't have said the brand name. All right,
- 55:13Speaker 2: we all got an answer written down for this one, Okay,
- 55:16Speaker 2: so we have. I'm gonna start with you, Aaron. We've
- 55:19Speaker 2: got Daphne slips her stocking clad foot inside gently. Fred
- 55:22Speaker 2: blushes when one of his balls falls out the side
- 55:25Speaker 2: of his shorts. Fantastic, Ben, what have you got?
- 55:34Speaker 3: I got, Daphne, let's one rip?
- 55:39Speaker 2: He would blush? Ordrob, what have you got for this?
- 55:41Speaker 5: Oh?
- 55:41Speaker 2: No, you're eating a sandwich. Eric, what have you got
- 55:43Speaker 2: for this? Oh?
- 55:45Speaker 3: He wakes up in the middle of a firefight.
- 55:46Speaker 4: Here, pries of his brother brothers and remembers when life
- 55:50Speaker 4: was simple fighting fake monsters.
- 55:52Speaker 2: Oh. I love the Vietnam references there. That is true
- 55:57Speaker 2: to the to the text, to to the plot order.
- 56:02Speaker 3: What have you got?
- 56:03Speaker 1: Daphne gives him a playful kick to the face.
- 56:08Speaker 2: Playful kick to the face. Yeah, I thought it'd be like,
- 56:11Speaker 2: you know, just like a nice head kick. Yeah, just
- 56:13Speaker 2: like a little Well, before I hand out points for humor,
- 56:17Speaker 2: which is why we're all here, the actual extract was
- 56:21Speaker 2: Fred blushes when his finger accidentally grazes Daphne's ankle or.
- 56:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that's pretty hot.
- 56:32Speaker 2: It's pretty pretty hot ankle play. Okay, So I think
- 56:37Speaker 2: for that one I'm going to give. I really love
- 56:39Speaker 2: Darren's answer. I'm going to give two points there, but
- 56:42Speaker 2: I'm also going to give a point to Eric for
- 56:44Speaker 2: accuracy to the to the Vietnam situation. I think that
- 56:47Speaker 2: was good. So two points to the Jinky Winkies and
- 56:51Speaker 2: one point to the Melvindues. All right, your next fan
- 56:55Speaker 2: fiction number two is three. To get Ready is the
- 56:59Speaker 2: name of this one. Second semester of college finds the
- 57:02Speaker 2: gang stressing about their relationships. On top of that, somebody's leaving.
- 57:05Speaker 2: Velma creepy secret admirer notes, with graduation rapidly approaching, will
- 57:10Speaker 2: they be able to solve the mystery and keep their
- 57:12Speaker 2: relationships alive? This is why we watch Scoopy Doo. Here
- 57:17Speaker 2: is your extract. Velma still hadn't noticed Shaggy coming towards her,
- 57:21Speaker 2: but he was suddenly overcome with doubt and fear. What
- 57:24Speaker 2: the hell was he doing? This was insane. He wasn't
- 57:28Speaker 2: one for making grand gestures like this, and besides, it
- 57:31Speaker 2: wasn't going to change anything anyway. There was no way
- 57:34Speaker 2: Velma would take him back after blank. There's no way
- 57:39Speaker 2: Velma would take him back after blank.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Okay, now I just need a first thought. That'd be good.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Hoping to go for the sentiment of the like what
- 57:51Speaker 1: it is? Okay, I'm hoping to go for the sentiment
- 57:55Speaker 1: a correct cent.
- 57:57Speaker 2: I like the sound of that. I think I think
- 58:00Speaker 2: Ben and Aaron might still be going, But I'm gonna
- 58:01Speaker 2: start with Audra in the studio.
- 58:03Speaker 3: What have you got?
- 58:04Speaker 1: There's no way she would take him back after all
- 58:07Speaker 1: that business with the stalking, the stalking or stalking stalking
- 58:13Speaker 1: as though Shaggy was stalking her was the one leaving
- 58:17Speaker 1: her all the creepy notes.
- 58:18Speaker 2: I like it, linking it to the thick good offering, Eric.
- 58:21Speaker 3: What have you got? He pooped in the urine? Enough?
- 58:29Speaker 7: Take it back?
- 58:32Speaker 2: Who hasn't wanted to try it once in a while?
- 58:34Speaker 2: Come on, looks like fun. Aaron, what have you got
- 58:40Speaker 2: for this?
- 58:42Speaker 5: He There's no way she'd take him back after she'd
- 58:45Speaker 5: made sweet sweet jinky love to a woman.
- 58:50Speaker 2: Wow, what a what a good use of turn a
- 58:53Speaker 2: phrase of jinkies. But also we learned that Shaggy's a
- 58:55Speaker 2: little homophobia.
- 58:58Speaker 3: And you just can't measure it.
- 59:00Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe super duper sex positive.
- 59:04Speaker 3: Yeah, she walked in on scuba and me joke is
- 59:14Speaker 3: it probably not Scooby zoint.
- 59:20Speaker 5: It's gonna say, I'm pretty sure the Greek Mythology episode
- 59:23Speaker 5: had scores of them.
- 59:26Speaker 2: Oh good, good stuff there.
- 59:29Speaker 3: Okay.
- 59:29Speaker 2: The actual answer was just everything he put her through
- 59:33Speaker 2: with the starking.
- 59:34Speaker 3: I'm almost everybody to give a point over this side.
- 59:39Speaker 2: I also enjoyed Eric's answer, so I'll say a point
- 59:41Speaker 2: to this team or a here and a point to
- 59:44Speaker 2: I like Ben's answer as well. I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 59:46Speaker 2: have a point to each team. I like those answers,
- 59:48Speaker 2: all right. Thick number three, The Haunting of Moon Bay Gulch.
- 59:53Speaker 2: The gang is looking forward to spending some time canoodling
- 59:56Speaker 2: in a hot tub, but first they have a family
- 59:58Speaker 2: of specters to deal with here it is.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: Guess we're like all the bait this time.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: That's a bad Shaggy, bad news for the Quickfire. That's
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: a terrible Shaggy. I guess we're all the bait this time,
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Shaggy said, knees knocking in fear as the duo of
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: ghastly ghosts rushed towards them. The ghostly triad howled, one
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: of them sneezed, and the two ghosts were advancing on
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Scooby and Shaggy, who scowled in fury. One of them
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: reached a pale hand out to Shaggy, gripping his arm
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: hard enough to leave finger shaped bruises. Angered Scooby snarled
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: at the would be ghost and angered. Scooby snarled at
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: the would be ghost, and I thought I'd do the
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: mystery bit, not the hot tub bit.
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: Sorry if anyone was looking forward to the hot tub bit.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: I mean I love a mystery I guess. Yeah, yep,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: that's the rule. The ghost grabbed Shaggy hard.
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: Enough to leave finger shaped bruises.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: Yes, yes, one of them reached a pale handout to Shaggy,
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: gripping his arm hard enough to leave finger shaped bruises.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: Angered Scooby snarled at the would be ghost and blank,
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: I think we're going to start with the jinky winkies
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: this time. You both ready?
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Sure, Yeah? What have you got? Ben jumped out of
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: the hot tub? Love it? Aaron, what have you got?
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: Lifted one leg? That's great too.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Okay, let's find out what the Melvin Dos have.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: Eric, what you got a wonderful.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Oh very good, just perfectly speaks for the first time ever,
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: launches into it, and adre bit her hard enough to.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Leave teeth shaped bruises.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Oh that's so good. A lot of good answers that round.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: The actual answer was bit the pale Ben's wrist drawing blood.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Oh order, I think close accuracy and it made me laugh.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Ben's was really clever. So I'm going to give yes,
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: So two points to Ordra, two points to Ben, and yeah,
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: I'm gon say two points per team. I like Terrence
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: as well, but you share in those two points. Oh yeah,
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: fair enough? All right? Got one final fan fiction? Yes
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: you're ready for this one. It's called Daphne Fucks Up?
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: How dare you talk shit about Daphne.
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: To Queen Sarah Miche Best Sarah Michelle Geller, Sir.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Yes, I know. Well, I'm not going to be respectful
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: with the following words I'm about to say, but please
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: remember I did not write this. So Daphne sucks up.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: Daphne is always in search of a new bitch to
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: break in Velma. They're always saying it about her. I've
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: always said that about Yeah, absolutely, Velma Dinkley was a
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: shy girl who would be an easy catch. Right, so
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: here's your extract. Daphne's face contorted into a sly smile
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: as she looked at Velma's voluptuous body. She had been
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: ogling the nerds ass for the past two weeks, wanting
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: nothing more than to blank. I'll read it again into
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: a sly smile. No one asked again, I'm gonna edit,
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: Ben asking me to read it again from the first
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: round and oh my god, God, remember subverting, isn't Oh yeah, damn? Well, okay,
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: I think we'll start with We'll start with ultra for
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: this one. She wanted to wanting nothing more than to.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: Wrap her in a blanket and give her some cocoa.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: Yeah, what have you got for this one? See?
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: If she could jump over her? She could jump over her.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: She was down there aggling. Ass Okay, Aaron, what have
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: you for this one?
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: Could you read the lead in?
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: Please? I'll give you the setup. Yeah, had been aging
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: that nerds asked for the past two weeks, wanting nothing.
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: More than to bury her face in it and sing.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: And Ben, I got to peg those glasses off her
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: dorky face. Well, Ben's going to get the accuracy points.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Wow, hot, damn.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: But I am also going to hand to point each
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: to the other players for making me laugh. The actual
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: answer was plunge her cock inside and dominate her.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: What oh that's the end of round three?
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: So many questions and also zero question if.
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: I know, oh wow, if i'd known, I would have
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: done a callback let one of her balls come out
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: of the side of her shorts.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Only you wouldn't known.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: See, this is why I'm glad television's dying and stuff
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: like this is taking over. You couldn't say this on CBS. Okay,
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: that is the end of round three. Let's ask the
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Mad Professor to calculate the latest scores. Oh, it turns
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: out he's the murderer. It's a shame.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: The Melvin Dues are on twenty points. The Jinky Winkies
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: are on twenty one points, very very close close. But
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: it can all change in the quick fire around. It
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: often does. But before we get to that quick fire around,
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: let's talk prizes. This episode. Star Prize is the concept
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: of bravery. Sometimes you've got to stop your knees from
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: trembling and just be brave, and it really helps if
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: you have a massive fuck off dog by your side.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: I don't normally say so many fucks in an episode,
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: but I put at least three in this script. What
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: am I doing?
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: I don't know?
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: Clean Okay, but our winning team will actually receive this
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: fashionable ascot. What up next is our crucial quick fire around,
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: But first we must play one final set of ads.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: If you don't want these stupid ads, find us on Patreon.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: Simple as back Scooby doobee soon I was running out
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: of ideas.
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: Just now.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Okay, with that, our final quick around will test your
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: broader pop culture knowledge, and it's called Let's go Dogging.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: In this game, I will give our players clues to
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: a dog from pop culture history. Can you believe we've
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: never done dogs? There's so many pop culture dog I know.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Those clues will be in the style of like like Shaggy.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: How does Shaggy sound like zoink scoob?
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: That's yeah, that's actually pretty good.
- 1:07:24Speaker 7: It's actually lower in the throat than I thought it
- 1:07:27Speaker 7: was Scoob.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: Okay, those clues will be like that, and there is
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: a classic gate Leapers twist. There'll be clues to a
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: dog and you need to say your answer like Scooby
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: doo would. So, Eric, you're already so well practiced at this,
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: so hopefully we end with like a Shaggy Scooby cacophony.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: By the end of this it's quick fire, so you
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: buzz in by yelling out your team name. Let's practice that. Now,
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: Melvin is all right, should we say Melvin versus.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Jinkies, Melvin versus Jinkies.
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: I love it, I love it.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: Oh, give an example just so you know how this
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: is gonna go.
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: Like Zoink Scoob, I think she's trying to tell us
- 1:08:03Speaker 6: something like I think little Timmy might.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: Have fought Yes, Ben Ray Lassie would be the dog there.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: You can interrupt me at any point during the clue.

- 1:09:17Speaker 2: It is Toto from the Wizard of Oz.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: I think he said Frodo.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: All this game is teaching me is how useless I am.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: How few pop culture dogs you know?
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: I know one dog.

- 1:12:43Speaker 2: Dog hool? Yes? Cool Deadpool stuff there and quick before
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: the buzzer, Like Zoink Scoob, is this guy related to you?
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: He's Melvins, Yes, uldra Oh no, I went in so early.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: There's so many dudes. Rappy Do.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: It's not scrappy Do. That's not what I've got here.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: I'm gonna keep reading the clue.
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: He's like, yes, Ben, I'm gonna go with what I
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: first thought it is. It may not be it, but
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with U Rama Duke.
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: It's not, Mama Duke, That's not what I've got here.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: But that's good thinking with the Great Dane stuff. He's
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: like cooler and from the Old West. Is this one
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: of the puppy power our side characters?
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: I think so.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: He kind of sounds like that Fred Flintstone guy we
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: met in that one crossover and he's related to you, Melvick. Yes, Odra,
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: it is Yabado. Yes, that is correct, and that's the buzzer.
- 1:13:38Speaker 7: Wow, I was.
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: Useless in that game.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: There was one where I thought Dumbo was a pig
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: because it's just like we're going.
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: And these three have had a ton of practice of
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: this specific kind of bullshit.
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: Before we get to the final scores, i'd like to

- 1:14:28Speaker 5: a two episode fiesta. I don't know what word I
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: was looking for there, but we're gonna do it live
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: in a real theater, the Peak Improv Theater where you

- 1:14:42Speaker 5: pure task master and Audra's going to be the task
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: Mistress and I will be her faithful assistant. And I've
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: already put our players through a bunch of tasks. There's
