- 0:30Speaker 1: the final installment in the twenty twenty three The Wedding
- 0:33Speaker 1: Veil Trilogy, movie six, if you're counting from the beginning

- 1:04Speaker 1: which is also called Girls Gone Hallmark. And it's not
- 1:07Speaker 1: just a bunch of self promo. It's Hallmark fans talking
- 1:10Speaker 1: about what they're watching. Some real deep cuts in there,
- 1:14Speaker 1: some like Hallmark Adjacent News. It's a real fan driven group.

- 1:27Speaker 1: We had a comment in our Facebook group that I
- 1:30Speaker 1: would like to share just because it makes me happy.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Okay really, Also I have some follow up. It says, Ladies,
- 1:36Speaker 1: I'm listening to your review of the wedding Veil Inspirations,
- 1:39Speaker 1: and I really hope that you're not going to be
- 1:41Speaker 1: hesitant to give a negative opinion. I was so proud
- 1:43Speaker 1: of you, ladies, for standing firm in your opinions. I'm
- 1:45Speaker 1: disappointed that your opinion wasn't shared because you don't want
- 1:47Speaker 1: to be accused of women on woman crime, which is
- 1:49Speaker 1: a ridiculous notion in the first place. Please keep holding
- 1:53Speaker 1: true to you. Well, I got to shout out you
- 1:56Speaker 1: for your brilliant editing. Thank you of last week's episode.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I mean, all that stuff at the very top is
- 2:02Speaker 1: super organic, like this me not knowing what my line
- 2:06Speaker 1: was and whatever and behind yes, And then when I
- 2:11Speaker 1: did not want to share my first impression and you said,
- 2:14Speaker 1: but tell me, I really did tell her.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:18Speaker 1: The supermarket music was just like two perfect. I just
- 2:21Speaker 1: loved it. Well, and I do want to say it
- 2:23Speaker 1: was nothing related to the movie. We shared our honest
- 2:26Speaker 1: opinions about that movie. Yes, we will promise to continue
- 2:30Speaker 1: to share our honest opinions. Yes, yes, moving on, let's
- 2:35Speaker 1: talk Hallmark. Okay, why don't you go first? Thirty fourth
- 2:39Speaker 1: annual Glad Media Awards released their nominations last week. Did
- 2:42Speaker 1: you see any of this? I did? This is my
- 2:45Speaker 1: only news and no, no, I stole it from you.
- 2:47Speaker 1: You guys another peak behind the current. And we don't
- 2:50Speaker 1: usually share like our news and notes or what we
- 2:54Speaker 1: liked or anything to each other before we record this.
- 2:58Speaker 1: So it's very much like I always heard that Regis
- 3:03Speaker 1: and Kelly never like talked before the morning, so everything
- 3:08Speaker 1: they did use it all up. It was all like organic. Yeah,
- 3:10Speaker 1: not that I'm suggesting we are Regis and Kelly or
- 3:13Speaker 1: whoever hear who? Happy Lee? Happy Lee? Why don't you
- 3:16Speaker 1: finish it off? Well? The Glad Award nominations came out,
- 3:21Speaker 1: and personally I was thrilled to see one. Jonathan Bennett
- 3:27Speaker 1: The Holiday Sitter was nominated for Outstanding Film in the
- 3:32Speaker 1: TV or Streaming category. Yes, that's exciting, It's very exciting.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I wonder if Hallmark has ever been I'm certain not nominated. No,
- 3:43Speaker 1: you don't think so, Hallmark being the pioneer and groundbreaking
- 3:46Speaker 1: inclusive television that they are. You mean well, I mean
- 3:51Speaker 1: shout out Hallmark for getting nominated this year. Yeah, credit
- 3:53Speaker 1: where credit is due. They are doing things. Let's talk
- 3:57Speaker 1: viewership for our gals and the wedding Veil so inspiration
- 4:04Speaker 1: that was movie number two or five, the one with
- 4:09Speaker 1: the autumn research. It ranked number six out of one
- 4:14Speaker 1: hundred and fifty cable TV shows. Huh with eight with
- 4:22Speaker 1: two point three million viewers live viewers live viewers. Now
- 4:27Speaker 1: in comparison to Expectations, that's the Lacy Shaber movie that
- 4:32Speaker 1: had two point five million viewers live viewers, so just under,
- 4:37Speaker 1: just under. I think that's keeping on track with the
- 4:40Speaker 1: twenty twenty two wedding veil trends. The first movie came
- 4:43Speaker 1: out strong, the following tube did very well, but the
- 4:48Speaker 1: trend it continued downward after that, right, And I would
- 4:52Speaker 1: also like to note Expectations came in at fifteen out
- 4:56Speaker 1: of one hundred and fifty. But I remember that week
- 4:58Speaker 1: was like Sports Sports, Sports, Sports, and then Hallmark. So yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 1: it was a big competition yeah, I think there's just
- 5:05Speaker 1: less sports to watch. So while Inspiration did better in
- 5:09Speaker 1: the ranking, Yeah, the Football Playoff Series is working in
- 5:13Speaker 1: their favorite games exactly, exactly. All right. My last news
- 5:18Speaker 1: and note is your boyfriend Benjamin Airs launched a storefront
- 5:24Speaker 1: where his Romance University merch. They're real cute. They are sweatshirts, like, yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 1: they're kind of expensive, although they proceeds do benefit an organization,
- 5:37Speaker 1: so it's not like you's just pocketing that money, right.
- 5:39Speaker 1: One of profits go to women's and children's charities. And
- 5:44Speaker 1: speaking of merch, I was it a Hallmark store this weekend?
- 5:48Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you know. I had to go buy a
- 5:49Speaker 1: birthday card and I was like, you know, I'm gonna
- 5:51Speaker 1: go patronize my local Hallmark store. And they had all
- 5:56Speaker 1: this cute Hallmark Channel merch in there. Hold on, I
- 6:00Speaker 1: took pictures. They had a mug that said I like
- 6:05Speaker 1: my coffee How I like my Hallmark Channel every single day? Oh,
- 6:09Speaker 1: and then a wine bottle stopper very on brand for
- 6:12Speaker 1: their homework Hallmark wines. Yes, Hallmark Channel is my love language.
- 6:17Speaker 1: They had those on T shirts to really cute socks
- 6:21Speaker 1: that said peace, love and Hallmark Channel look at that.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I know it was real cute. I didn't buy any
- 6:27Speaker 1: of it. I didn't tell you. My husband did buy
- 6:30Speaker 1: me the blanket for Christmas that said, this is my
- 6:33Speaker 1: Hallmark Channel watching blanket and have you been using it?
- 6:36Speaker 1: It's a great blank is it? Yes? Yes? Oh I
- 6:40Speaker 1: love it. So anyway, cute merch from homework there, I mean,
- 6:43Speaker 1: and you can find knockoff tons all over Etsy, Hallmark
- 6:47Speaker 1: channel merch, yeah, yeah, including on our own shop or
- 6:51Speaker 1: dudes of Hallmarks of Homewark. Yeah, we need to look
- 6:54Speaker 1: at I got lots of ideas. I got lots of
- 6:56Speaker 1: ideas for the Wowie Zowie. Oh I can't wait trademarks.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I don't think I ever told you this, but someone
- 7:01Speaker 1: reached out during the holiday season and they were like, hey,
- 7:03Speaker 1: can you do a custom dude of Hallmark shirt? And
- 7:07Speaker 1: I was like, sure, that'll be five dollars and I
- 7:11Speaker 1: did it, and I I did it. Here's a little
- 7:15Speaker 1: peak behind the curtain, guys that one of the tricks
- 7:18Speaker 1: getting discovered on Etsy is having some reviews. And I thought, well,
- 7:21Speaker 1: surely they did believe it's a good review, and they did,
- 7:24Speaker 1: and you know, I had the design. It was easy
- 7:27Speaker 1: enough to turn around. I don't know that I would
- 7:29Speaker 1: be in the business of doing them regularly for everyone
- 7:31Speaker 1: to get the Wowie's AOI of their choice because I
- 7:33Speaker 1: did it is well, it's it's kind of a lot
- 7:36Speaker 1: of work, I would you got to put a lot
- 7:38Speaker 1: of work in to get a lot of return. So
- 7:40Speaker 1: you want to start selling custom Wowie's AWI shirt. Yes,
- 7:44Speaker 1: well we're gonna have to mark them up by more
- 7:45Speaker 1: than five dollars? Were you happy? Because it is? It's
- 7:49Speaker 1: not hard. It's just a lot of steps in the
- 7:52Speaker 1: creation of design, the upload of the design, the creation
- 7:54Speaker 1: of the listing. It's just many many steps. I would say,
- 7:57Speaker 1: you know what, it was also hard the movie bracket.
- 8:01Speaker 1: You're right, small change, big impact. Guys should listen to
- 8:07Speaker 1: Long Story Short with Megan Wendy this week. I'm just saying,
- 8:10Speaker 1: I think a custom I think, tell me what custom?
- 8:14Speaker 1: Sure you made? What did it say? They just picked
- 8:17Speaker 1: the names they want on it. They chose Andrew Brennan, Cameron,
- 8:23Speaker 1: Chad Paul, Ryan Tyler, Wes. Look, I'm not here to
- 8:28Speaker 1: judge their Chad Mockel, muryla Oh, Chad Michael Murray from
- 8:32Speaker 1: Wintrey Hill. Oh. Interesting, I mean, I haven't seen him
- 8:35Speaker 1: in a Hallmark movie in the two years that I've
- 8:37Speaker 1: watched Hallmark. No, but the Hallmark Love Runs Deep, it
- 8:41Speaker 1: does well. Hey, whatever I think we should guys, email
- 8:45Speaker 1: us if you think we should have a customizable availability.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Moving on, let's listen to a synopsis of the wedding
- 8:52Speaker 1: Vale Journey. Let's do it. Tracy and Nick agree to
- 8:55Speaker 1: set aside work to make time for a long overdue
- 8:57Speaker 1: honeymoon to Greece. When they are stranded on a secluded island,
- 9:01Speaker 1: they confront their life choices, starring Allison's when Victor Webster, Wow,
- 9:06Speaker 1: exactly lazy shid bear an autumn research, this movie was
- 9:11Speaker 1: filmed in Greece, specifically on the island of Roads and
- 9:14Speaker 1: fun fact, this movie had a ground breaking movie making
- 9:19Speaker 1: moment in that it is the first production to be
- 9:21Speaker 1: allowed to film at the Acropolis in parentheses of Rhoades. Yes,
- 9:26Speaker 1: I read that, not the Acropolis of Athens, where productions
- 9:30Speaker 1: have been filmed before. I did read that too. I
- 9:33Speaker 1: also know that in regards to the filming at the Acropolis,
- 9:37Speaker 1: there was no car access, so the equipment had to
- 9:39Speaker 1: be transported on golf cards and carried out multiple stairs.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And this is why I will be a podcaster and
- 9:44Speaker 1: not a person involved in the making of movies. Too
- 9:47Speaker 1: much hard work. Yes, well, you're suggesting podcasting. It's not
- 9:50Speaker 1: hard work. It's seated work. It's not manual labor. It's
- 9:55Speaker 1: not movie movie equipment. Up look crumbly stairs. I used
- 10:02Speaker 1: to work in nonprofit special events which would require the
- 10:05Speaker 1: loading of large trucks, the driving of large trucks. I
- 10:09Speaker 1: could drive a Pallette jack and now, in your forties,
- 10:12Speaker 1: you don't want to do that anymore. No, I couldn't.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I'd injure myself and we had another eight weeks of
- 10:15Speaker 1: physical therapy. I'm just saying well done to the crew
- 10:19Speaker 1: of the Wedding Veil Journey. Yes, yes, yes, hey. On
- 10:22Speaker 1: IMDb this movie was rated eight point one out of ten.
- 10:27Speaker 1: That seems like a high rating to me. I agree.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I don't think it's unearned. That's not what I'm saying.
- 10:34Speaker 1: User reviews were not available as of Sunday night when
- 10:37Speaker 1: I was making the notes for this movie. Just the ratings. Yes, ah, yes, yes, yes.
- 10:43Speaker 1: This movie was written solely by Karen Berger. She co
- 10:46Speaker 1: wrote Expectations with Judith and Sandra Berg. She has fifteen
- 10:49Speaker 1: writing credits. Most look like Hallmark movies Eagle Eye Girls
- 10:54Speaker 1: Gone Hallmark. Facebook viewers got us on this one. They
- 10:58Speaker 1: made a comment about Lady Dalton and her secret letters
- 11:03Speaker 1: and they wondered if maybe they were expecting to hear
- 11:07Speaker 1: Paul McCartney in that list, and I thought, uh, like
- 11:09Speaker 1: another famous brit right. Then I come to find out
- 11:13Speaker 1: Judy Asher, who plays Lady Dalton, dated Paul McCartney for
- 11:17Speaker 1: five years and is considered the muse for songs like
- 11:21Speaker 1: I Want to Hold Your Hand and and I Love Her.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Oh so like a long time ago they dated. Well, yes,
- 11:27Speaker 1: I don't know if you know what this about me.
- 11:29Speaker 1: The listeners definitely don't know this about me. A huge
- 11:32Speaker 1: Beatles fan in my high school days, Like my high
- 11:33Speaker 1: school bedroom was all Beadles posters. I used to have
- 11:37Speaker 1: these like CDs obviously all the Beadles CDs, but they
- 11:41Speaker 1: these CDs of like their like recording studio sessions like
- 11:45Speaker 1: lost footage, and they'd be like, you know, singing like
- 11:47Speaker 1: bits of songs, like workshopping stuff and like little interviews.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I was into it, man, but this is news to me.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Oh you never heard of this lady before? She like
- 11:58Speaker 1: a regular actress, Jane Asher. Her name is Jane Asher.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Jane Asher has one hundred ten acting credits. Wow Hey.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Victor Webster plays Nick Yeah Dode. He has a pretty
- 12:13Speaker 1: impressive resume, according to IMDb, eighty seven acting credits, including
- 12:17Speaker 1: most recently obviously twenty twenty two's A Christmas Cookie Catastrophe.
- 12:23Speaker 1: He was also on Working Moms on Netflix. If you
- 12:26Speaker 1: want a little, kind of raunchier series to watch, not
- 12:30Speaker 1: a little. He was also in two thousand and nine's
- 12:32Speaker 1: at Melrose Place reboot which I looked up some photos.
- 12:36Speaker 1: He played like the boss of like somebody anyway. Also,
- 12:40Speaker 1: did you know he was on Days from nineteen ninety
- 12:43Speaker 1: nine to two thousand, No eighty four episodes? Wow? So
- 12:47Speaker 1: he must know Ali Sweetey from sure from those days?
- 12:52Speaker 1: See what I did there? I did put a pole
- 12:55Speaker 1: up on Instagram wondering if the people thought mister Webster
- 12:59Speaker 1: was a Wowey and some people said no. I did
- 13:03Speaker 1: see that it was a small percentage, but I'm surprised
- 13:06Speaker 1: by that. I have a theory. A listener DMed me
- 13:10Speaker 1: this weekend about a previous episode where we suggested that
- 13:14Speaker 1: maybe Hallmark was not fully displaying the wowie zowiness of
- 13:20Speaker 1: some of these actors. Okay, Like you see them in
- 13:22Speaker 1: a Hallmark movie and you're like, that's a nice looking person.
- 13:24Speaker 1: And then you see their like thirst trap on Instagram
- 13:27Speaker 1: and you're like, old damn right. And she was saying
- 13:32Speaker 1: that she and her friends say that Hallmark dresses their
- 13:35Speaker 1: actors like at school picture day, like, yeah, the very
- 13:37Speaker 1: combed down, buttoned up look. And so I wonder if
- 13:41Speaker 1: you've only seen Victor Webster in the Wedding Veil and Hallmark,
- 13:46Speaker 1: if you look at the Christmas Cookie Catastrophe movie poster,
- 13:49Speaker 1: they did him so dirty because Victor Webster is a
- 13:53Speaker 1: hot man. Give that man a little scruff huh. I agree? Wow, wait,
- 13:59Speaker 1: I agree. Let's talk about cute little Jay Grant. Yeah,
- 14:03Speaker 1: his IMDb is empty. I know, is this his first movie? Well?
- 14:06Speaker 1: I couldn't find an article that specifically said that he's
- 14:10Speaker 1: a young actor. He's fifteen years old. Really? Yeah, Oh
- 14:15Speaker 1: I thought he was much younger than that. He was adorable, adorable. Finally,
- 14:20Speaker 1: Ron Oliver directed. Yes, he has over eighty directing credits,
- 14:25Speaker 1: thirty writing credits, including Lindsay Lohan's Netflix Christmas movie Falling
- 14:30Speaker 1: for Christmas last year, jolly good Christmas, taking the reins
- 14:34Speaker 1: a timeless Christmas like. He's done a lot of stuff.
- 14:38Speaker 1: He was also nominated for a Daytime Emmy in two
- 14:40Speaker 1: thousand and four for a show called Scouts Safari, which
- 14:44Speaker 1: was Outstanding Children's Serie nomination. He's got a lot of
- 14:48Speaker 1: like in the like Nickelodeon, yea ya, goose bumps, like
- 14:52Speaker 1: a lot in that genre. Lots of homework stuff too.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Let's move on to your first impression of the wedding
- 14:57Speaker 1: vale journey sounds good? Are you ready? Is it Leo
- 15:01Speaker 1: or Leo? Somebody sent me a voice memo? Please? Well,
- 15:06Speaker 1: permission to lightning around my first impressions because I could
- 15:11Speaker 1: not pick one as I was watching this movie. I
- 15:13Speaker 1: wrote one and I thought, oh and I have three? Okay, First,
- 15:16Speaker 1: is this hon anyone sucks? I absolutely agree with that.
- 15:19Speaker 1: The second is did I call it? Or did I
- 15:22Speaker 1: call it? And third is take better care of that veil. Seriously,
- 15:28Speaker 1: it's not even in plastic like a dry cleaning bag.
- 15:34Speaker 2: With the veil.
- 15:37Speaker 1: This is centuries old veil. It is it cannot withstand
- 15:42Speaker 1: this abuse. I know, I'm so adored. How many veils
- 15:45Speaker 1: do you think they have. I don't know a lot.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Probably I have more than one a couple because oh,
- 15:52Speaker 1: my goodness, you're so right, though, you're so right. What
- 15:56Speaker 1: do we like about this movie? Okay? So I thought
- 15:58Speaker 1: Alice Sweeney had some great dresses on this. Oh. I
- 16:01Speaker 1: loved it as someone who's currently working on a like
- 16:04Speaker 1: an event that has a grease theme. Oh, I'm looking
- 16:09Speaker 1: for a dress to wear that's not themed. But is
- 16:12Speaker 1: you know of the You don't want a costume. I
- 16:16Speaker 1: don't want a costume, but you know I do. I do.
- 16:19Speaker 1: And I just thought, I really wish I knew where
- 16:21Speaker 1: she got some of these dresses. I was so drawn
- 16:23Speaker 1: to them. I fully agree. I have an idea. We'll
- 16:26Speaker 1: discuss it after this excellent look. This for Me is
- 16:29Speaker 1: objectively the best movie of well, I guess not objectively.
- 16:32Speaker 1: It's my opinion. It's subjectively the best movie of the
- 16:35Speaker 1: second round of the wedding veild movies. Oh no, and
- 16:38Speaker 1: he's making a face. Well, in my opinion, this is
- 16:40Speaker 1: the best movie of the three. Okay, And I'll tell
- 16:43Speaker 1: you why I think that. Okay, One, I loved the
- 16:48Speaker 1: focus on TRACYA and next relationship that I don't think
- 16:50Speaker 1: we get as much in the other two. There's all
- 16:53Speaker 1: too much going on. And while there is a lot
- 16:55Speaker 1: going on in this and do you feel like their
- 16:57Speaker 1: relationship is the center? Ultimately, I am happy with the
- 17:02Speaker 1: resolution to Tracy's end quotes mommy problem. We'll talk more
- 17:07Speaker 1: about that. And it was absolutely stunning to watch the costuming,
- 17:14Speaker 1: the location. I enjoyed that quite a bit. Now, please
- 17:19Speaker 1: rain all over my parade. I'm not raining. I I
- 17:24Speaker 1: did like that the story that of Nick and Tracy
- 17:28Speaker 1: as two ships in the night passing each other, right,
- 17:31Speaker 1: and it felt really realistic and relatable, because not all
- 17:35Speaker 1: marriages are like Avery and Peter's where they're just like
- 17:38Speaker 1: fighting over non issues like this was like a real thing.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I And at one point I thought they have that
- 17:45Speaker 1: conversation on the bench, and I'm like, is this could
- 17:49Speaker 1: this go to a breakup situation? Like is that where
- 17:52Speaker 1: they I know they weren't headed that way, but like
- 17:55Speaker 1: you know, they were not connecting. Something needed to change, Yes, exactly.
- 17:58Speaker 1: So I like that part of it. We'll talk why.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I don't think it was my favorite. Okay, a little
- 18:07Speaker 1: bit later again, I'm going to talk about Victor Webster.
- 18:11Speaker 1: He made me, like, sit up and take notice. When
- 18:14Speaker 1: he tells the headmaster, like, hey, look, you're not going
- 18:18Speaker 1: to talk to my wife and that tow, I was like, yes, like,
- 18:22Speaker 1: give me some characters on Hallmark who are going to
- 18:25Speaker 1: like I'm quoting Macho. I don't know. I just liked it.
- 18:31Speaker 1: There was something that was very like he should be
- 18:34Speaker 1: in a police procedural type show. It was just a
- 18:37Speaker 1: little grittier than we usually Yes, I liked that too.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I liked that like my own thread of violin. Yes, yes, yes,
- 18:45Speaker 1: this man is not a red flag for me. I
- 18:47Speaker 1: don't know. When they go to visit Leo Leo's uncle,
- 18:53Speaker 1: Leolo and the pictures are in the room, yes, yes,
- 18:59Speaker 1: tears tears, Yes. I was like, oh the pictures, I wrote,
- 19:04Speaker 1: When Leo visits his uncle and the room is covered
- 19:06Speaker 1: in Leo Leo's drawings, like that was so sweet and
- 19:11Speaker 1: so sad. But then he said I would never forget
- 19:16Speaker 1: my Leo. I know, you know. I thought that was
- 19:20Speaker 1: a very sweet storyline and I liked. I was very nervous,
- 19:26Speaker 1: Why well they're gona sho up. He's like, I don't
- 19:28Speaker 1: remember you. I liked Leo had come to the point
- 19:32Speaker 1: of I'm okay if he doesn't remember me, because I
- 19:36Speaker 1: remember him, like, you can't take my memory of him
- 19:39Speaker 1: away from me in our time together. Very mature for
- 19:43Speaker 1: this young child, and I'm you know, sometimes I want
- 19:49Speaker 1: a Hallmark to do the harder thing. I didn't want
- 19:51Speaker 1: them to do the harder thing. I didn't need the
- 19:53Speaker 1: notebook here. I needed and I needed Leo to have
- 19:56Speaker 1: that win. Yeah, So towards the end, I did appreciate
- 20:01Speaker 1: the line from the head master when they like meet
- 20:03Speaker 1: Nick and Tracy at the like they're getting ready to
- 20:06Speaker 1: leave and the headmaster shows up and you know, give
- 20:11Speaker 1: Leo Leo the option of going with them or whatever.
- 20:15Speaker 1: But the headmaster says there's gonna be a lot of
- 20:17Speaker 1: red tape. And I'm like, thank goodness, because I was like,
- 20:20Speaker 1: they're just gonna take this child from this country, Like
- 20:23Speaker 1: is there who's the actual guardian? Right? Who is the
- 20:26Speaker 1: head master? The guardian is the country? See, I don't know,
- 20:32Speaker 1: I don't know, does the child have a passport? I
- 20:35Speaker 1: don't know, Like lots of red tape. Well, it doesn't
- 20:37Speaker 1: seem like he's actually leaving with them in that moment,
- 20:40Speaker 1: I agree, which is good. That's realistic. He can't just
- 20:44Speaker 1: like come on, yes, and I have a first class
- 20:47Speaker 1: ticket back to me, right. And I was so happy
- 20:49Speaker 1: when it was like one year later. I was like
- 20:51Speaker 1: who saying goodness, like give me a one year later here,
- 20:54Speaker 1: Like I didn't want to get like caught up in
- 20:56Speaker 1: the like well, I just didn't want it to be
- 20:58Speaker 1: like here they are on an airplane, you know. Yes, yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 1: So speaking of the one year later moment when they're
- 21:04Speaker 1: at the wedding, which I've got things to say about,
- 21:06Speaker 1: but he calls her mom and then she says, we're
- 21:11Speaker 1: just I'm crying, right, Yes, that's the best part her
- 21:14Speaker 1: what she says. She wries, we're just letting him figure
- 21:17Speaker 1: out who I am. To you guys's crying. I am.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I thought that was such a lovely moment. I sitting
- 21:25Speaker 1: on the couch watching this say this scene, and my
- 21:29Speaker 1: husband who had just got home from the gym and
- 21:30Speaker 1: was like standing there watching the TV to and this
- 21:33Speaker 1: whole scene happens and I turned out look at him
- 21:35Speaker 1: and go, I'm crying, and he's like, you are ridiculous,
- 21:39Speaker 1: and I'm like, you know, what, doesn't cry? I know,
- 21:41Speaker 1: but it was It wasn't even like that he called
- 21:44Speaker 1: her mom. It was like the explanation of it, like
- 21:47Speaker 1: we're just giving him, letting him figure it out. I
- 21:49Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, that's good pass. That was
- 21:52Speaker 1: why at the beginning of this second part of the series,
- 21:55Speaker 1: I said, I'm not really sure I want Tracy to
- 21:58Speaker 1: have a baby. I don't want to force this idea.
- 22:00Speaker 1: She's putting a hard line. I'm not interested in having
- 22:04Speaker 1: a baby and being a mom. And life changed. It
- 22:09Speaker 1: wasn't I should have a baby because everybody else thinks
- 22:12Speaker 1: I should have a baby, because Avery loves having a
- 22:14Speaker 1: baby so much. It was the life presented her with
- 22:17Speaker 1: different circumstances, and I kind of appreciated it. Yeah, that
- 22:23Speaker 1: was lovely. That was lovely. Is there anything else you liked?
- 22:27Speaker 1: I'm ready to talk what we wished for. Okay, I
- 22:30Speaker 1: wish that those post it notes at the beginning of
- 22:32Speaker 1: the movie were bigger. You have a hard time reading those.
- 22:34Speaker 1: That's a sixty inch television. I should be able to
- 22:37Speaker 1: see it. And I was like squinting at the TV,
- 22:40Speaker 1: like pausing it. I guess it didn't really matter what
- 22:43Speaker 1: they said. They needed to be bigger. Okay, Well, I
- 22:46Speaker 1: gotta tell you that. It was a few days before
- 22:50Speaker 1: the airing of this movie that I saw Hallmark was
- 22:53Speaker 1: promoting on their Instagram or whatever. It was the first
- 22:57Speaker 1: time we saw picture of Leo. Hmm, like he's making
- 23:01Speaker 1: Tracy and I was like, Okay, there it is. That's
- 23:04Speaker 1: what we're doing here, you know, and there's nothing wrong
- 23:07Speaker 1: with that. But I was like, why did they give
- 23:09Speaker 1: it away? Don't give it away, like, let us let
- 23:15Speaker 1: that story unfold for your viewers too, Like I just
- 23:18Speaker 1: thought it was like spoiler.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Well.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I kind of felt the same way about the wedding
- 23:23Speaker 1: veil expectations poster having Avery with a baby stroller. Yeah yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 1: I mean, we know what it's going to happen, but
- 23:30Speaker 1: let us work for it. Totally. I agree. I wish
- 23:33Speaker 1: that someone would ask these ladies what the hell they're
- 23:34Speaker 1: doing at this wedding. There's literally no reason for them
- 23:37Speaker 1: to be there. Tracy. Maybe because she went on her honeymoon,
- 23:42Speaker 1: she was there when they met, she was friendly with
- 23:45Speaker 1: Lady Dalton. Those other checks don't need to be there,
- 23:48Speaker 1: I know.
- 23:48Speaker 2: So I really want someone to be like, how do
- 23:51Speaker 2: you know the bridegroom, Like, oh, I don't, like, it's
- 23:56Speaker 2: just at this point, it's outrageous.
- 23:59Speaker 1: They do not need I agree. These are the things
- 24:01Speaker 1: that I don't like. The other thing I did not
- 24:04Speaker 1: like is the friends did not need to drop in
- 24:06Speaker 1: and on this honeymoon. Dude, you are the worst friends ever. Agreed,
- 24:10Speaker 1: because hear me out. If they know, they must know
- 24:16Speaker 1: that Nick and Tracy are not connecting, yes, right, yes,
- 24:19Speaker 1: And now that they finally get to take this honeymoon,
- 24:22Speaker 1: and here's their opportunity to like spend time together because
- 24:26Speaker 1: they haven't in the last how many years they've been married.
- 24:30Speaker 1: You don't show up at their honeymoon, like, do better?
- 24:34Speaker 1: Making the video was not time sensitive. You live in Italy.
- 24:39Speaker 1: You can go to Greece anytime. Just pop on over
- 24:42Speaker 1: and make the video. You did not need to be
- 24:44Speaker 1: there on your friend's honeymoon. And the fact that Victor
- 24:46Speaker 1: Hpter's like, Okay, I guess the four of us are
- 24:48Speaker 1: going hiking up the Acropolis. Yeah, it's Selphie time. Oh
- 24:52Speaker 1: and and this isn't a different part of my notes,
- 24:55Speaker 1: but I'm gonna bring it here now. Tracy gets mad
- 24:57Speaker 1: at Nick that he's cooking for this restaurant which we're working,
- 25:01Speaker 1: but her best friends can crash their honeymoon. Yeah, exactly exactly.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Speaking of the friends, this is where I got real
- 25:07Speaker 1: kind of pissed. Is that every time like the idea
- 25:12Speaker 1: of Tracy potentially getting pregnant or having a baby or whatever,
- 25:16Speaker 1: like let it go, Like they were so like are
- 25:20Speaker 1: you gonna have a baby next Tracy? Like she has
- 25:24Speaker 1: clearly said, like this is not for me, Like you're
- 25:27Speaker 1: bad friends to keep like us. Listen to her, she
- 25:30Speaker 1: told you, hear her. Yeah, yes, this was not a
- 25:34Speaker 1: problem that needed to be so agree. The veil story
- 25:39Speaker 1: is kind of obsolete at this point, right, so we're
- 25:43Speaker 1: given these like just random characters to keep the continuity
- 25:47Speaker 1: of this wedding veil magic. It just it's it's I'm
- 25:52Speaker 1: over it, is what I'm trying to say. I don't
- 25:56Speaker 1: think I need another three movies about a wedding veil.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Well question, do you like that these movies were dropped
- 26:03Speaker 1: back to back? Yes? You do? Yes? Okay, my ques.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I guess the reason I'm asking is we have other
- 26:10Speaker 1: series from Hallmark, like The Wedding March h that was
- 26:15Speaker 1: like once a year, wasn't it. Yeah, make me want it,
- 26:20Speaker 1: make me want it a little bit more. I can
- 26:23Speaker 1: see the argument for both making it into this big event,
- 26:26Speaker 1: but I think by the third one, maybe I'm done.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Make me want it a little bit more. I just
- 26:34Speaker 1: think that they have a problem with time at that point,
- 26:37Speaker 1: which I know. We have to throw time out while
- 26:40Speaker 1: watching this, because if we're only producing these movies once
- 26:43Speaker 1: a year, we already got three movies passing in the year.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Just make the next one start exactly where the next
- 26:49Speaker 1: one where it picks up at. Yeah, I mean it
- 26:51Speaker 1: can be done. Sure, we're already nine years into this,
- 26:54Speaker 1: I know, experience fifteen years into it. I mean, so
- 26:57Speaker 1: much time passes in these movies. And I have one
- 26:59Speaker 1: more wish. The conversation about children between Tracy and Nick
- 27:06Speaker 1: needed to be more than two minutes. It's like they
- 27:08Speaker 1: had never talked about it. Well. The resolution I felt
- 27:12Speaker 1: was too quick. He's like, that's not who we are,
- 27:14Speaker 1: and then she goes okay, and then yes, well maybe
- 27:17Speaker 1: that is who we are. But what Yeah that I
- 27:21Speaker 1: just felt like, that's like a conversation with therapists maybe
- 27:25Speaker 1: or somebody to help like figure it out. Life seems
- 27:29Speaker 1: real rosy on vacation. Yeah, right now, we know Nick
- 27:33Speaker 1: is going to make some changes to the way he
- 27:35Speaker 1: does business, but is Tracy, I don't know. And Nick
- 27:41Speaker 1: wants to spend more time in the kitchen, right he said,
- 27:43Speaker 1: don't you cook at night? Yes, he's brought his sister
- 27:46Speaker 1: in to be the business manager, but he's we still
- 27:48Speaker 1: have the same issue. Why are you business managing during
- 27:51Speaker 1: the day. Well, I think a manager does probably need
- 27:54Speaker 1: to be on site when the restaurant's open. I think
- 27:56Speaker 1: that's not unusual, especially because he was like, something's going
- 27:59Speaker 1: to step in and see I kind of thought this
- 28:01Speaker 1: movie was going where like he was like, I'm going
- 28:03Speaker 1: to open a restaurant in Greece and then we can
- 28:07Speaker 1: be a family to Leo, Leo here, see how that works,
- 28:12Speaker 1: because maybe sister would run the restaurants in New York.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I don't know. You ready for we did to see that. Yeah,
- 28:18Speaker 1: let's just talk about it the time. Tracy's telling somebody
- 28:25Speaker 1: we've been married for three years and we're finally taking
- 28:28Speaker 1: our honeymoon, and I'm like, does that compute? I think
- 28:30Speaker 1: it does compute, right, I mean it's a tight three years.
- 28:34Speaker 1: It's a tight three years. Maybe it kind of works. Yep.
- 28:37Speaker 1: So Colin is doing some gardening and Tessa comes along,
- 28:42Speaker 1: but why is he gardening on vacation? Okay, go ahead,
- 28:45Speaker 1: I know he's helping Tessa out. I get it. Yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 1: And she's like, you don't have to do that, and
- 28:49Speaker 1: he was like, oh, I'm on London time, it's okay,
- 28:52Speaker 1: and I thought, oh, interesting, Okay, Well, the time difference
- 28:55Speaker 1: between London and Greece is two hours, so it's not
- 28:57Speaker 1: like extreme jet lag, like I can fly to hear
- 28:59Speaker 1: it from you to Texas and I'm gonna be just fine,
- 29:02Speaker 1: Like I might not be ready for bed, yeah at
- 29:05Speaker 1: eight pm, but London is two hours behind. So if
- 29:11Speaker 1: it were seven am in Grease, when he's like, I'm
- 29:13Speaker 1: on London, it's five am in London, it doesn't hold up.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Got it? Got it? Would you winging on vacation? Hell no. Never.
- 29:24Speaker 1: They're like, we're just gonna show up. We've got one
- 29:26Speaker 1: night booked and that's it and they'll see see what
- 29:28Speaker 1: else because this is what happens. Everything's booked because there's
- 29:32Speaker 1: something going on, and it's your honeymoon. Don't you want
- 29:35Speaker 1: to stay somewhere that you're excited about? Steak? I know,
- 29:37Speaker 1: but some people are like adventure, you know what I mean, no,
- 29:41Speaker 1: look at how she was dressed. She did not pack
- 29:43Speaker 1: for adventure. She packed for a nice honeymoon. She had
- 29:45Speaker 1: beautiful clothes. She was not going to be backpacking it
- 29:48Speaker 1: in a hostel. I want to speak about some her shoes. Okay,
- 29:54Speaker 1: she was wearing these like wedge sandals, and I was like,
- 29:59Speaker 1: walking over cobblestone and gravel driveways, I would break my
- 30:02Speaker 1: freaking neck. Oh sure, I was like, that was a
- 30:05Speaker 1: bold choice. Put her in a cute white tennis shoe. Yeah,
- 30:08Speaker 1: Like right, that's it. That's all I got. Well, I
- 30:11Speaker 1: know our ratings are not gonna be the same. For
- 30:13Speaker 1: the first time, I'm going to write a movie higher
- 30:15Speaker 1: than you and I And I don't even know if
- 30:17Speaker 1: I really explained what I didn't like about this movie.
- 30:20Speaker 1: It was like I felt like this big gaping hole
- 30:23Speaker 1: in the middle of the movie, like we had we
- 30:27Speaker 1: knew they're gonna go on vacation, and then there's all
- 30:29Speaker 1: this other like filler stuff of like Lady Dalton and
- 30:35Speaker 1: Colin and Tessa and the bad chef and the it
- 30:39Speaker 1: just was like weird. And then there was like the
- 30:41Speaker 1: Leo storyline and then the like take out all that
- 30:45Speaker 1: other crap and this movie together. Yeah, I think it
- 30:49Speaker 1: would have been a better storyline. And you rated it
- 30:52Speaker 1: three point seven five stars. Well I gave it four. Okay.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I didn't hate it. I just didn't like it my expectations.
- 31:01Speaker 1: We're hire for this movie for some reason, and I
- 31:03Speaker 1: think I was just let down a little bit. Okay,
- 31:05Speaker 1: So that's where I'm at. Cool. Well, you may know
- 31:10Speaker 1: that we have started our recap series of The Way Home.
