Speaker 1: Hey, we're gonna get right back at it, folks. We're
0:03
gonna dive right back into the whole money laundering portion
0:06
of Jeffrey Epstein and his criminal enterprise, and we're gonna
0:10
talk about seven things that we have to look out for.
0:15
Seven things to keep an eye on after the anti
0:19
money laundering laws took effect on January first. Now, the
0:24
International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, they have a new article
0:29
out detailing the seven things that we should be on
0:32
the lookout for and considering we have been following the
0:37
Fence and Files pretty much since they broke and honestly,
0:43
it's one of the biggest tie ins with Jeffrey Epstein
0:45
that we've come across, one of the best situations where
0:51
the curtains have been pulled back a little bit and
0:53
it shows us a little bit of the process on
0:56
how this occurred, on how the money laundering happens, how
0:59
they use use the shell companies, and with the fincein files,
1:05
it gives us a good blueprint to go back and
1:08
to look at and to compare what was going on
1:10
with Epstein with what we know was going on here
1:13
in the Fens and files, and we already know that
1:17
we could trace Epstein all the way back to the
1:22
Paradise Papers, to the Panama papers, to most sac and Fonseca.
1:28
So Epstein and his criminal enterprise they really tie in
1:32
with all of this. And if we don't have the
1:38
basis right, the blueprint for this money laundering and for
1:42
these financial crimes, we would never understand the full scope
1:47
of what Epstein was up to, because without this money
1:50
laundering and without this dark money, then none of the
1:53
other behavior would be a possibility, certainly not on the
1:58
grand scale that it was to taking place. So I
2:04
know it's cliche, but we're gonna follow the money. Today's
2:10
article is from the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, headline
2:16
seven things to watch after historic anti money laundering overhaul
2:21
in the United States. The landmark legislation contained several loopholes, exemptions,
2:27
and shortcomings that may become key vulnerabilities in the fight
2:31
against corruption and financial secrecy. Advocates say, what did I
2:36
tell you guys when we were talking about all of
2:38
this and the AML was coming into effect and we
2:42
really didn't know the whole law right. My thing always
2:46
has been, let's hope it has some teeth and already,
2:49
we're seeing loopholes. Already, we're seeing backdoors for these people
2:53
to exploit. And it's disheartening to me. And you wonder
2:59
why I sayd meet the new boss same as the
3:03
old boss. Nothing's going to change, unfortunately, folks, until we
3:10
send people to DC who really care and to be
3:16
honest with you, that certainly doesn't seem like what's going
3:19
to occur here with forty six. Just take a look
3:22
at all of the cabinet members. Just take a look
3:24
at where they all come from. How many of them
3:26
are from the financial sector, how many of them went
3:29
to Harvard, how many of them were part of the CFR,
3:34
how many of them were part of the Carnegie Institute.
3:39
So why would I think for a second that they'd
3:42
be going after all of their besties. It just doesn't
3:45
work like that. And if the actual legislation has loopholes
3:50
and back doors, then it's just going to be more
3:53
of the same, except they'll be able to point to
3:55
the new AML laws and say, hey, look we did something,
3:58
we tried to fix something. We're doing our best. But
4:03
here's an idea. Leave out all of the loopholes, no
4:06
back doors. How about just for once the law is
4:10
what it says. So this article was authored by Spencer Woodman. Washington.
4:21
Lawmakers rang in the new year by largely banning anonymous
4:25
shell companies in the United States, one of the world's
4:27
most attractive places for criminals and wrongdoers around the world
4:32
to hide dirty money. Sounds good, right off to a
4:35
good start. Definitely a good thing to close those loopholes.
4:38
Definitely a good thing for there to be some transparency
4:42
when it comes to anonymous shell companies. All right, on
4:46
a good track, so far here, right, perfect, let's continue.
4:50
The new law will for the first time, require millions
4:54
of companies incorporated in the US to report their true
4:57
owners to the federal government for an inspection by law
5:01
enforcement and compliance officers at banks and other financial institutions,
5:07
known as the Corporate Transparency Act. The law was attached
5:10
to a massive national defense funding bill that Congress passed
5:14
with a veto override. So remember this was stuffed into
5:19
that NDAA, and also stuffed into that NDAA, which I'm
5:23
not going to get too deep into here is some
5:25
anti streaming laws that I find to be very draconian.
5:30
So maybe we'll get to that at some other time.
5:33
I'm really thinking about a new podcast where we talk
5:37
about a variety of issues, different issues, you know, news
5:42
from around the world, stuff like this, little things that
5:46
might slip by, passed on like a Friday night, little
5:49
things that I feel will affect us moving forward as citizens,
5:54
stuff like that, but more of a show focused on
5:57
different topics. I think that there is a market for that,
6:04
and I think from the emails I have received from
6:07
a lot of you out there, and from the conversations
6:10
that I've had from a lot of you out there,
6:12
it would be something that people would be interested in.
6:15
So it's certainly something I'm thinking about. And there's just
6:21
a lot to talk about, right that I don't want
6:23
to drag into this Epstein case and muddy the waters here,
6:27
but there's so much corruption and so much we can
6:30
get to, and honestly, a lot of it overlaps with
6:33
our Jeffrey Epstein conversation anyway, because Epstein is the face
6:39
at this point of all of those scuzzbag elites that
6:42
we always talk about. So I'm gonna definitely think about
6:47
something like that and you know, perhaps throw something together
6:52
because there is just so much, so much corruption, folks,
7:01
as the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists has reported across
7:05
multiple investigations, including most recently the Fins and Files, anonymous
7:10
companies are a major vulnerability in the global fight against
7:14
tax avoidance and money laundering. Drug cartels, oligarchs, despots in
7:20
the global elite use them to conceal fortunes from tax
7:24
authorities and law enforcement. So even right here in the
7:29
article from the Consortium, they're talking about how the global
7:35
elites use this stuff to launder money, to hide their money.
7:41
So if you think it's just something I'm you know,
7:43
spitting up and throwing against the wall here, or you know,
7:47
looking to direct some rage somewhere, that's not the case.
7:52
I believe that the financial sector is really a huge
7:56
problem with humanity being stuck in the r that we're in.
8:02
It's a global problem. We are slaves to debt. Folks
8:07
all around the world living way above our means while
8:11
these banks continue to absolutely destroy us. It is not acceptable,
8:17
it's not sustainable, and it's something that we're going to
8:20
have to address and deal with at some point. As
8:26
the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists has reported across multiple
8:30
oh excuse me, we're past there. Establishing a US government
8:34
Registry of company owners was a key reform that experts
8:38
said was needed in response to ICIJ investigations. So this
8:44
goes to show you that good investigative reporting and good
8:47
investigative journalism gets things moving. We've seen it with Julie
8:53
Brown in our case as well. Right, the Miami Herald
8:56
picks up the ball. They start looking into what occurred,
9:00
and it forces law enforcement to do the same because
9:05
the public outcry is so severe and so fierce. So
9:11
that's what happened here. The fence and files broke, and
9:14
then all of these government officials they latched onto that
9:19
and they use that as the basis to create this
9:22
new anti money laundering law. But the transparency is not complete.
9:30
The law, supported by both the US Chamber of Commerce
9:33
and left leaning Public Citizen, an unusual Washington alliance, is
9:38
the result of years of negotiations. It contains loopholes pushed
9:42
for by special interest groups that may blunt some of
9:45
its power, even according to those who advocated for it
9:49
and are now celebrating its passage. People like me, this
9:53
is what I've talked about, the lobbyists, the special interest groups.
9:57
I'm so tired of these senators and congress people hanging
10:00
out near K Street. Do we really need these people
10:04
to stay in DC anymore? Honestly, they can't do the
10:06
people's work from home. Shouldn't they be home amongst their constituents.
10:11
I know that if I ran for office, there'd be
10:14
two things that I'd run on. Two major things that
10:16
I'd run on. One, I would not accept any money
10:19
from out of state to pursue my seat in Congress
10:23
or the Senate, one hundred percent without a doubt. And two,
10:28
I would promise my constituents that I would not be
10:32
in DC. I'd go there for major votes or things
10:34
i'd have to be there in person for, but I
10:36
would stay at home. You could take care of everything
10:40
you need to take care of mobiley now, right, that's
10:43
what we're doing, isn't it? Aren't we zoom meeting from home?
10:46
If it's good enough for Aunt Betha, it's good enough
10:50
for these congress people and senators. The closer they are
10:53
to K Street, the closer they are to being corrupted.
10:58
And that's all of them. Just look at these people.
11:02
Look at what's his name, Bayner? He was so staunch
11:07
against marijuana, so staunch against drugs. Oh or sending people
11:11
to prison, writing all kinds of draconian laws. The dude
11:15
leaves public office and joins the board of a cannabis company.
11:23
How don't you choke on that hypocrisy. But that's the
11:27
kind of people we're dealing with here, And like I
11:30
said earlier, you know, just like computer programmers, they're going
11:34
to add a backdoor so that they have a way
11:36
to navigate, so that their friends have a way to
11:38
navigate and find a way to get out of trouble
11:41
and to get around regulations. And until we send people
11:47
to Washington, DC who aren't there to enrich themselves, who
11:52
aren't there to use politics as a career, there should
11:55
be no political class. That shouldn't be a career. It
11:57
should be a public service that you do to your
12:00
do for your community for four or eight years and
12:02
then bring your ass back home and get on with
12:04
your life. But no, once you get a little taste
12:08
for the power, you're corrupted by it. Here are seven
12:15
major areas where experts say the bill falls short that
12:18
could pave the way for future political action. Number one,
12:23
some Wall Street investment vehicles don't have to report hedge
12:27
funds and private equity firms create pulled investment vehicle type
12:31
vehicles typically open only to wealthy investors. The law does
12:36
not apply to some of these entities, experts say, even
12:39
though law enforcement has warned that they are ripe for abuse,
12:43
of course they don't. This is the same thing as
12:46
the turn and burn IPOs that Jeffrey Epstein was getting. Right.
12:50
They get special treatment, they get special rules, special laws.
12:54
And if you're part of a hedge fund or a
12:55
private equity firm, you know, the same people that funded
13:00
Joe Biden to become president, the same people that were
13:04
in Donald Trump's ear, the same people that funded Obama
13:07
and Bush and do I have to continue? These are
13:11
the same people that are exempt from these sorts of laws.
13:14
These are the same people that have loopholes to navigate
13:17
so they don't have to be on the same playing
13:20
field as us. So think about that next time you're
13:26
cheering on one of these senators or one of these
13:29
congress people as they're standing on their ivory tower. Threat actors,
13:35
according to a twenty twenty Federal Bureau of Investigation bulletin,
13:39
likely use the private placement of funds, including investments offered
13:43
by hedge funds and private equity firms to launder money. Well,
13:47
no shit, water is wet and the desert is hot.
13:51
Everybody knows that these hedge fund managers are a bunch
13:54
of scuzzballs. Everybody knows that these hedge fund managers are
13:58
involved in all sorts of money laundering and nonsense. But
14:03
let's make sure we have a loophole in the new
14:06
AML laws so that they can navigate it and continue
14:09
their centuries long reign of theft and greed. Number two
14:18
big businesses are exempt too. Oh well, why not, let's
14:22
just pile it on. We couldn't have the corporatetocracy have
14:28
to follow the rules, right, Our new corporate overlords couldn't
14:31
follow the rules, right? Who would have thought that Huxley
14:35
would have been so on point? We're all focused on
14:38
nineteen eighty four over here, and meanwhile it's a brave
14:43
new world. Instead, the new law exempts any firm that
14:47
has more than five million in annual revenue, more than
14:50
twenty employees, and a physical office in the US. At
14:54
least in my world, that exemption covers nearly everyone, said
14:58
Steven Quinnlevin, a corporate lawyer specializing in mergers and acquisitions.
15:04
At Stinson LLP. One rationale for the carve out, the
15:08
advocates say, is that these larger companies have actual employees
15:13
and offices and are thus much easier to understand. Oh yeah,
15:17
so much easier to understand. Do they really think that
15:20
that excuse and that reasoning is going to be a
15:23
selling point for anyone who's following this, or for anyone
15:26
who understands that these big businesses are legitimately at the
15:31
heart of the issue. It's such absolute shit that they
15:37
actually believe that this is going to make us feel comfortable.
15:47
I hate to say it, folks, but with all of
15:49
these loopholes, this is just more window dressing. And it
15:55
goes back to what I said when we were reporting
15:57
on this at first, Shrod Brown. He has a lot
16:00
to say, right, a lot of big words, a lot
16:02
of big promises. Well, now you have the Senate, now
16:08
you have Congress, now you have the White House. You
16:11
know what you do not have anymore, mister Brown, You
16:14
have no more excuses. Get it done. It can be
16:25
difficult to determine who technically owns a trust wealth before
16:29
distributions are made. Experts say, unlike companies, trusts often do
16:33
not register with any government. The new law explicitly exempts
16:38
certain types of charitable and semi charitable trusts. Really, this
16:44
is where all the money's going to be moving. This
16:46
is where they're going to be moving their money around
16:48
into the charities so that they don't have to follow
16:51
these laws in these rules. We saw them do it
16:53
with Epstein, We saw Leon Black, we saw Glenn Dubin.
16:56
How many more times do we need to see this?
16:58
BS advocates are also concerned about the wider category of
17:12
personal and family trusts slipping through the cracks, because these
17:16
entities might not fall into the new laws definition of
17:19
a company. For this reason, experts believe the new law
17:23
could defacto exclude a wide swath of personal and family trusts.
17:29
Where do all of these rich people keep their money
17:32
personal and family trust huh, but they're going to be exempt? Shocking.
17:37
You know what, all of these senators and congress people,
17:40
you know what they all have too. I'm sure they
17:42
all have their own trusts. Do you really think they're
17:45
going to write laws that are going to screw them
17:48
in the long run. If that was the case, and
17:49
they truly had any integrity, if they had any sort
17:53
of morality, they'd put up a law that would have
17:57
to do with term limits for the Congress Senate eight
18:01
years in both. You could do eight as a congressman,
18:04
eight as a Senator, and that's it. And that's even
18:07
pushing it, in my opinion. But they'll never do that.
18:11
They'll never put any laws on the books that are
18:13
going to affect them. This is the biggest concern for me,
18:18
said Gary Kalman, the director of Transparency International's United States office,
18:23
adding that he believes that trusts are already one of
18:25
the US's largest money laundering vulnerabilities. Calman adds that it
18:30
is possible that during the implementation of the law, federal
18:34
agencies could interpret its language to include some trusts, and
18:38
the law mandates a study into problems that the lack
18:41
of trust ownership information poses, So it's going to be manipulated.
18:49
It's going to be used as a loophole. And it's
18:53
obvious that the so called elites are going to continue
18:57
to move the way they've always moved. They'll just have
19:00
to make a few tweaks and a few adjustments. But
19:02
don't worry, their scumbag lawyers will be there to show
19:05
them the way. The new ownership registry will remain secret. Ah,
19:11
how cute secret. There's no transparency. Charad Brown another person
19:16
who's up there serving us up some wolf tickets. I
19:21
said it when we were talking about Charad Brown and
19:24
this law, that I didn't trust him, that I thought
19:26
he was a scoundrel. And I'm probably going to be
19:30
proven correct once again. Here. It's all about show for them, right,
19:35
It's all about the aura of them doing things to
19:40
make our lives better. It's all about putting on the
19:44
big play, the grand play. Yeah, we care about our constituents,
19:48
we care about this money laundering, when in reality, none
19:52
of these loopholes would have been put in here if
19:54
they really cared. Only a subset of government and financi
20:00
institution officers will be able to access ownership information contained
20:04
in the new secure, non public database that the law establishes. Researchers, journalists,
20:11
and others trying to track dark money will be shut out,
20:15
so the saga continues as journalists, content creators and people
20:21
interested in the truth will have to rely on whistleblowers,
20:25
and hopefully, with the new safe harbor laws that are
20:27
being put into place, these whistleblowers will be more inclined
20:32
to come forward. I know that if I had some
20:35
information and I'm getting thirty percent of one hundred and
20:38
ninety million, I'd be doing the Connor McGregor Vince McMahon
20:44
walk all the way down to the FBI or the
20:47
Treasury Office to rat on whoever the hell was involved
20:50
in these financial discrepancies. Thirty percent of one hundred and
20:54
ninety million, thirty percent of three hundred and ninety million
20:58
A lot of money, folks. A fully public ownership registry
21:03
would be unique, wouldn't be unique. In twenty sixteen, the
21:07
United Kingdom mandated that many companies registered in the country
21:12
must list their owners in a registry that is freely
21:15
accessible to the public online. Look, I'm down with that right.
21:19
If I owned a business and it was, you know,
21:22
all legit and on the up and up, I wouldn't
21:25
mind if my business was in some public registry. I'm
21:28
paying taxes on that business. I'd be prideful of that.
21:31
I'd be proud of the business I built. Why am
21:34
I trying to hide in secrecy? Here's an idea. Pay
21:37
your taxes, stop being an asshole and just try and
21:40
be a human for once. Although the UK registry has
21:46
been beset by faulty or absent information. Transparency advocates say
21:51
that the public inspection of the information has been crucial
21:54
in flagging problems that should be fixed within the system.
21:59
Advocates their support of a public ownership registry will not
22:03
stop with the passage of the new law. That's going
22:06
to be a fight we're going to continue to have
22:08
down the road over time. Clark Gascone, a senior policy
22:13
advisor at the Financial Accountability and Corporate Transparency Coalition, told
22:18
ICIJ and that's good, right. I like that these groups,
22:23
the Transparency Coalition and other groups are still fighting to
22:28
make sure that real laws with teeth go on to
22:32
the books and not just more bs for these idiots
22:35
to manipulate. And I think what the UK has going
22:38
on there is a good idea full transparency. If you're
22:43
a business owner, you shouldn't care if somebody knows that
22:46
you own a business or what your business is. It's
22:48
absolutely ludicrous. Registry access for state and local law enforcement
22:54
is limited, so state and local law enforcement don't have
22:59
access limited access. Once again, we're relying on the FEDS.
23:03
That should make all of you feel comfortable, right because
23:06
we know that the Federal Bureau of Investigations is totally
23:10
on their game, totally on point. I am not comforted
23:16
by that fact. Okay, I trust the state law enforcement
23:19
officials much more than I trust the federal ones at
23:22
this point. The new law stipulates that although many federal
23:28
agents will have relatively easy access to the ownership database,
23:32
state and local law enforcement will have to obtain permission
23:35
from a court employee each time they want to access it.
23:39
This seems excessive and is going to discourage law enforcement,
23:43
said Alma and Gotti, global legislative and regulatory risk director
23:48
at the consulting firm guide House. Yeah. Why will the
23:53
more loopholes, more steps for the law enforcement to have
23:56
to jump through to do their job. Here's an idea
23:58
streamline it make get nice and easy, but they won't. Again.
24:04
This certainly just looks like window dressing once again, folks.
24:07
Is it good that there's something on the books. Of course?
24:09
Are some people going to get nailed with it? Of course?
24:12
Is it going to be the right people? I have
24:14
my doubts. Number six, art dealers don't have to report
24:20
suspicions of financial crime for now. Oh so that's nice.
24:24
The art world continues to just move like the scuzz bags.
24:27
They are billion Who has a billion dollar art collection?
24:31
What are you the Pope? Give me a break, Leon Black?
24:35
So you got a million a billion dollar art collection? Huh.
24:38
I'm sure that's all on the up and up. I'm
24:40
sure that that art collection hasn't been used to steer
24:44
money or maneuver money in a dark manner. I'm sure
24:48
that's never happened, never once. Leon Black's above such things.
24:54
Along with the disclosure requirements, the overall Defense spending law
24:58
also expands the of businesses that must report suspicions of
25:03
having done business with criminals. Left off that list art dealers.
25:09
What do you know? How many of these art dealers
25:12
are big time political donors. How many of these art
25:15
collectors are people within the political world. How many of
25:19
them are friendly with the new administration. I'll save you
25:25
the legwork, folks, A lot of them. The art trade
25:30
is a major hotspot for international money laundering, as ICIJ
25:34
recently reported in The Fins and Files. Alice Being, a
25:38
former US Senate aide and investigator, called the art exemption
25:42
strange and noted that the legislation requires a study into
25:46
the art market that she hopes will lead to art
25:49
dealers finally being added to the law. While art dealers
25:53
have been offered a free pass for now, the law
25:55
does demand for the first time that antiquities dealers reports
25:59
this vicious activity to federal authorities. So I wonder who
26:06
lobbied for this loophole. That would be an interesting look
26:09
to find out who lobbied for the art world, who
26:11
paid for those lobbyists, and what the purpose behind that
26:15
lobby really was, because we all know the art world
26:19
is corrupt as hell, and if anyone should be getting
26:21
slacked with penalties ear it's them number seven. This one's
26:27
really gonna launch you guys into orbit like it did me.
26:30
This is galling, folks. The penalty for leaking ownership information
26:35
is harsher than for not reporting it to the government
26:38
in the first place. What if anything shines a light
26:45
on the backwards ass nature of the United States government
26:49
at this point, at the absolute dumpster fire that it is.
26:53
Something like this, does it perfectly? Just like the guards
26:58
who fell asleep when Epstein allegedly killed himself, They're the
27:02
only ones getting slapped with felonies. Huh. And so right here,
27:06
if you leak this shit, Oh, you're going to prison forever.
27:09
But if you're the person who didn't report it, the
27:11
no worries. We're gonna give you a fine. Kind of
27:14
like mister Assange. Huh, by the way, he needs to
27:18
be pardoned today. Okay, pardon a songe, pardon Snowden, pardon uh,
27:27
what's her name? Chelsea Manning? All of them? Enough is
27:30
enough already. People who misreport company ownership information face a
27:36
maximum penalty of two years in prison. Anyone who leaks
27:40
ownership data to the press or anyone else could face
27:44
up the five years in jail and a decade if
27:46
the disclosure happens while committing another federal crime. Look at
27:50
that shit longer than Jeffrey Epstein. Ah, two years, two
27:54
years for people who don't report five if you leave,
28:00
But Jeffrey Epstein that thirteen months out. Every day you
28:04
tell me the system isn't screwed up, folks, give me
28:06
a break already. This is absolutely ridiculous. I know somebody
28:11
who did five years for so called illegal sports gambling.
28:20
These penalties are out of whack. Ross Delston, a lawyer
28:23
and consultant in Washington, d c. Specializing in anti money
28:27
laundering systems, told ICIJ, since when is the ownership of
28:31
a company in inherently private manner? The laws separately creates
28:35
new rewards and protections for whistleblowers who come forward to
28:39
the government about a broad range of financial misconduct. So
28:44
what they're saying is, come to the government. You can
28:47
be a whistleblower to the government. We have these incentives,
28:49
But don't you dare go to the press. So that
28:54
is very interesting and I'm very interested to see how
28:58
this all plays out. What I'm really interested to see, though,
29:02
is now that it's time to put up or shut up.
29:06
I'm really interested to see what Charad Brown, forty six
29:10
and the new leadership apparatus really does now that the
29:15
ball is in their court, because for the last four
29:18
years we've heard a lot of platitudes, a lot of
29:21
big talk from a lot of people claiming everyone else's biased. Well,
29:27
now the talking is over. Now it's time for the
29:30
rubber to meet the road. And let's see if forty six,
29:35
the new Congress and the Senate actually have the huavos
29:41
to make all of this stuff for reality and to
29:44
go after the scummiest amongst us, if you like to
29:49
contact me. You can do that at Bobby Kapucci at

30:14
Into the Fens and Files and talk about how there
30:17
is some bipartisan support for US lawmakers to come together
30:23
during this new omnibus bill and get rid of these
30:28
anonymous shell companies. So that is certainly something that has
30:34
been needed for quite some time, and the fact that
30:38
there is bipartisan support for it is crucial in my opinion.
30:42
How many times have we seen one party or the other,
30:46
because of their ties to the financial world, go ahead
30:50
and kill bills like this or come up with some
30:52
sort of asinine excuse why a bill like this shouldn't
30:56
be passed. But I think now is the proper time
31:00
for them to get it done. On the heels of
31:03
the Fins and Files coming out, We've had the Panama
31:06
papers come out. You know, there are ample reasons for
31:14
this to be much more regulated, and of course we
31:17
talk about it here on the podcast, because it certainly
31:20
relates to how Jeffrey Epstein was able to conduct business
31:24
the way he was able to conduct business for so long.
31:27
The financial system, the way it's set up, is set
31:30
up for people such as Jeffrey Epstein to skirt around
31:35
the laws, to find loopholes and to find ways to
31:38
launder money. And they have not. When I say they,
31:42
I mean Congress or the Senate lawmakers. They don't address
31:47
this ever, because what you don't think they're not benefiting
31:50
from it. All of their bag men, all of these
31:53
bundlers on both sides, are involved with all sorts of
31:58
shady ass shell companies and offshore dealings and stuff that
32:04
we don't even know about. And that stuff was all
32:07
brought to light during the Paradise papers and the Panama
32:11
papers and then with the Fincent files. All of the
32:15
stuff that we speculated, all of the stuff we thought
32:18
that they were up to, well it was confirmed by
32:21
those leaks and those dumps. And now lawmakers across the world,
32:27
the EU, America, Australia elsewhere are now starting to take
32:32
this a bit more serious. And you know why well,
32:34
because the people are starting to get hip to it.
32:37
Once the people are hipped to their scams and their
32:40
plots and their schemes. Well, they'll just act like we
32:43
had we didn't know anything was wrong here. We're gonna
32:45
roll write different laws. Meanwhile, the laws were written in
32:49
the first place by these people so that they could
32:51
exploit them. But now that the people are aware and
32:55
people are starting to catch on to what's really going on,
33:00
of course they'll just plead ignorance. Oh, well, we didn't
33:04
know that they were being exploited, or that these loopholes
33:07
were being used. We'll write some new laws, and inevitably
33:11
these new laws, well they'll have loopholes and back doors
33:15
in them as well. Hopefully, with this new bit of
33:21
bipartisanship we're going to see here in this bill, there
33:25
won't be any back doors. There won't be any loopholes.
33:27
It'll just be black and white. That's what we need.
33:32
Not some all inclusive, comprehensive bill, just a black and
33:38
white bill that outlines the penalties for people who engage
33:43
in this with no slap on the wrist, with no
33:46
oh we'll get you next times, all right, If you're
33:50
caught up with one of these shell companies, and these
33:53
shell companies are engaged in illegal business. Well, there shouldn't
33:57
just be some sort of financial penalty, there should be
33:59
a criminal penalty as well. With that in mind, let's
34:04
take a look at our article this morning. This article
34:07
is from the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and the
34:12
headline is US lawmakers moved to end anonymous shell companies
34:17
in national defense spending bill. A major anti money laundering
34:22
reform is expected to arrive in annual omnibus legislation with
34:27
bipartisan support. This article was authored by Spencer Woodman. Now
34:33
that's pretty awesome to hear, right, I don't care what
34:37
side of the aisle you're on. Gridlock when it comes
34:40
to issues like this is not a good situation. There
34:43
needs to be bipartisan support for bills such as this.
34:47
People shouldn't dig in on either side and play tribal
34:50
politics when it comes to something as important as stopping
34:55
this money laundering from happening. As we've already established previously,
35:01
money laundering is the lifeblood for these people, these criminal organizations,
35:05
people like Epstein, arms Runners, the cartels. So if there's
35:11
a way to stamp out this money laundering, and there's
35:14
a way to bring these people to justice who are
35:17
engaging in it. Then all of those avenues must be explored,
35:23
and whatever sort of regulation power Congress has they should use.
35:32
Lawmakers in the United States say they have taken a
35:35
significant step closer to enacting a major anti money laundering
35:39
reform that would make it more difficult to move dirty
35:43
money through US firms. Hallelujah. Now, of course, as usual,
35:49
let me tamper down any expectations, right, because the devil
35:56
will be in the details. But it is certainly a
35:59
good step in the right direction. We have seen the
36:04
financial system, not only in the United States but worldwide
36:08
be exploited by these people for far too long. These
36:11
people have increased their wealth since the beginning of this
36:15
pandemic at a rate that has never been seen ever
36:19
before in the world. And these people are still stealing, robbing,
36:29
laundering money, and sowing seeds of destruction everywhere they go.
36:37
Hopefully a powerful anti money laundering law will not only
36:43
give the investigators an inroad to prosecute people like this,
36:48
but also hopefully it sends a message that this behavior
36:53
is no longer going to be tolerated. Late last week,
37:03
democrats in the House and Senate announced that they had
37:06
included provisions targeting anonymous shell companies into a must pass
37:11
national defense spending bill. The move is significant because, unlike
37:16
many pieces of legislation that languish in Congress, the omnibus
37:20
bill is often approved on a bipartisan basis to continue
37:25
funding national defense. So they slid this into the omnibus bill,
37:31
which is honestly a good idea. I'm usually not too
37:34
fond of inserting things into bills like this, but sometimes
37:38
you have to force the issue, and I don't really
37:41
think that this is a partisan type of situation, so
37:45
I'm actually okay with the Democrats inserting this into the
37:49
omnibis bill. I usually prefer clean bills, right, I'm a
37:53
big fan of clean bills for the most part. But sometimes, man,
37:57
you have to force the issue. When your kid doesn't
38:00
want to want to eat, you got to sit there
38:02
with them until they'll eat the food. And sometimes that's
38:06
what has to happen with these bills, and in Congress,
38:09
you have to force the issue sometimes, and that's what
38:12
it looks like is happening here, and putting it in
38:14
this omnibus bill is honestly a very good strategy by
38:20
the Democrats. It is pastime to put an end to
38:24
the secrecy that allows drug cartels, human traffickers, arms dealers, terrorists,
38:30
and kleptocrats to exploit the United States banking system in
38:35
order to carry out anti American activities. Mark Warner, a
38:39
Democratic Senator from Virginia and advocate for the reform, said
38:43
in a statement, Well, that's all fine and well, mister Warner,
38:46
but you're not going to blow smoke up my ass, sir.
38:50
Literally all of the bag men you know are gonna
38:53
be pissed off about this. So I don't know how
38:57
you're going to break it to the investor classes, the
39:00
people that literally put Joe Biden into power. Is gonna
39:04
be a rough sell to those folks, And I'd like
39:06
to see how you guys are gonna pull it off,
39:08
that's for sure. But I'll tell you what, It is
39:11
very refreshing to at least hear them talking about this,
39:16
to at least hear that they're going to attempt this. Now.
39:19
Do I think that their overlords in the banking and
39:22
financial system are going to be okay with it? No?
39:25
Do I expect there to be some back doors? Yes,
39:29
But is it a nice step in the right direction
39:31
it most certainly is I know that the current holes
39:41
in our financial system post a serious threat to national security.
39:45
He's not wrong about that. They certainly do. They most
39:48
certainly do. And especially if you have one of these
39:51
politicians who has received money from a foreign entity, or
39:56
whose family has received money from a foreign entity, or
39:59
the these people who might have blackmail information on a politician,
40:04
you know, this stuff is definitely a serious threat to
40:08
national security. And once you start getting involved in financial
40:12
crimes with people, they have you there as well. Right, So,
40:15
if you're involved as a senator, a congressman and some
40:19
shady financial deal and your feet are getting held to
40:24
the fire by someone who's lobbying you, and they have
40:27
that information that you know you were involved in this
40:30
money laundering scam, well they can put your feet to
40:33
the fire and press you to do what they want
40:34
you to do, sort of like Epstein did, but with
40:38
the sex trafficking as opposed to the money laundering. Although
40:43
I suspect that Jeffrey Epstein had quite the record of
40:48
people he was involved with financially and people who were
40:52
probably engaging in financial crimes with him, I'm sure he
40:56
has a record of those people and the question really becomes,
41:02
where is that information? Right, does the FBI have it?
41:05
Is it hidden somewhere? Was it destroyed? You know, again,
41:09
there's not enough transparency for us to even really know
41:13
where any of that evidence possibly is. If passed, the
41:19
legislation would in large part and anonymous shell companies in
41:23
the United States, mandating that every company report its ultimate
41:27
owner to the US Treasury Department. This would allow law
41:31
enforcement to quickly ascertain who owns firms involved in potential
41:36
financial crimes. I don't think there's anything wrong with that,
41:40
right Again, I'm not a big person for you know,
41:44
extreme draconian regulation in most sectors, but the financial sector
41:49
has proven time and time again that they can't be trusted,
41:52
so they need to be regulated. They need to be
41:54
regulated in a stringent manner. And this sort of vernacular
42:00
coming out from the Democrats here from Mark Warner, from
42:06
Charad Brown, we've heard from previously. You know, it's a
42:10
lot of big talk. And I hope that they're willing
42:14
to put this talk into action, and I'm hoping that
42:16
they're willing to enforce it all over the board and
42:21
not you know, let their friends skate by. I hope
42:28
that this is just an over the board regulation and
42:31
there's no garbage language in it. A prevalence of anonymous
42:39
shell companies makes laundering and moving money derived from corruption
42:43
and other criminal activity easier and makes the lives of
42:46
compliance officials and law enforcement harder. This was underscored and
42:51
ICIJ's recent Fens and Files investigation, a global collaborate collaboration
42:56
involving more than one hundred media partners around the world
43:00
world examining torrents of suspicious money flowing through major banks,
43:05
and this was just incredibly well done by all involved.
43:11
The exposed the way they exposed the stars and how
43:19
there is a huge regulation problem within fins in itself
43:27
was very important for moving this story along because people
43:33
don't really want to see things until it's right in
43:36
front of their face. Right once you have all of
43:38
that stuff in front of your face, once you see
43:41
all of the information that's out, you see the whistleblowers,
43:44
you see the leaks, You get to read the emails
43:47
that these sons of bitches were sending to each other
43:50
through Wiki leaks or the Paradise Papers. You see what
43:53
happened with the Finson files. It is it is rather
44:00
obvious that there was change needed, and I just hope
44:06
that this is that change, or at the very least
44:09
the beginning of that change, because the way that the
44:13
financial system gets played by these scuzzbags in so called
44:18
polite society is sickening. The project was based on leaked
44:30
US Treasure Department documents detailing more than two trillion dollars
44:34
flowing through the US financial system. The record showed bank
44:38
compliance officers searching in vain to determine who is behind
44:43
shell companies moving massive amounts of money through their firm's accounts.
44:48
And now imagine, how is it even possible that that occurred?
44:54
If you or I take out any kinds of money,
44:56
forget it. You know that they're going to be all
44:59
over us. Right, you take out over ten grand, forget it.
45:03
You gotta sign paperwork, ten thousand and one cent time
45:06
to see tr up. You go into the casino and
45:09
you gamble. Once you get to three thousand dollars, you
45:12
get out, you get put on something called an MTL sheet.
45:15
And what that MTL sheet is is it tracks your
45:18
play and once you hit that ten thousand dollars mark,
45:21
CTR But these people don't play by those same rules.
45:26
We know that Darren Endyke was structuring ninety seven different
45:32
withdrawals from an ATM in the amount of seventy five
45:35
hundred dollars, and that isn't considered suspicious. That isn't something
45:41
that they crack down on right away. But you well,
45:45
if you, like I said, if you go to the
45:46
casino and gamble, forget it, you're gonna be tracked for sure.
45:50
With these people, Nah, they don't live by the same rules,
45:53
So they do whatever the hell they want when they
45:55
want to do it. And as far as moving money,
45:58
these shell companies act as the perfect vehicle for them
46:05
to move this money and pump it through the system.
46:10
In recent years, the United States has become a prominent
46:13
destination for tainted money, largely because it has some of
46:17
the world's best options for those wanting to cloak their
46:19
activity behind highly secretive shell companies. Of course it is America, right,
46:25
That's where all these rich scallions are, So of course
46:28
they have the system set up in their best interest.
46:31
Of course, they have the system propped up so it
46:33
benefits them and screws us. You ever wonder why you're
46:37
getting a twenty six percent finance fee it's because of
46:41
these scumbag banksters and their friends in Congress and the
46:45
Senate who set the whole entire playing field for them.
46:51
The Tax Justice Network and Advocacy Group ranks the United
46:55
States as the second most secretive jurisdiction on Earth, second
46:58
only to the Cayman Islands and beating even places like
47:02
Switzerland that are known for intense banking secrecy. It's obscene, folks.
47:07
It is obscene in the United States of America, where
47:11
every single thing that you do is under surveillance. For
47:14
the common citizen, everything you do is tracked. These people
47:19
have these laws in place so that they can manipulate them,
47:22
so that they can hide their money, so that they
47:25
cannot pay their fair share, and so that they can
47:28
continue with their criminal enterprises without anyone being none the wiser.
47:35
And it has been like that for far too long.
47:38
The financial system should have been utterly destroyed after the collapse,
47:44
but no, they were propped up. They were too big
47:47
to fail. And yet here we are now in the
47:51
year twenty twenty, on the way into twenty twenty one,
47:55
and still talking about the egregious behavior of these very
47:58
same institutions, often owned by opaque LLC's luxury real estate
48:07
and posh locations like New York and Miami now rival
48:10
the classic secretive Swedish bank account for rich customers aiming
48:14
to hide money. Also the art industry, right, we've talked
48:18
about that before. How much dark, dirty money is in
48:22
the art industry. I mean you have people like Leon
48:26
Black with a billion dollar art collection. Is it really
48:29
worth a billion? How much is it worth more than that?
48:31
Or how much more art do you have stashed away
48:34
put elsewhere? So it is very apparent what's going on here.
48:41
These people have been manipulating the system for far too long,
48:46
and finally, finally Congress is waking up from its heroin
48:52
buzz and they're starting to take notice. Although the expected
48:59
legs would have a profound effect on this dynamic, the
49:03
ownership data is submitted to the Treasury Department would likely
49:06
not be made available to the public, of course not.
49:10
There's no transparency, you see, That's the key there. They
49:13
might put these laws into place, and they might you know,
49:16
blow some smoke up our ass and pat us on
49:18
the back and tell us that they're going to fix things,
49:23
But really, when it comes down to it, there's no transparency.
49:26
The public's never involved, and the public has no access
49:29
to really what's going on behind the scenes. We have
49:33
to trust the bureaucrats that are in charge of these institutions,
49:37
and we all know how that ends up for us.
49:43
The exact language and the draft defense spending bill, known
49:46
as the National Defense Authorization Act, has not yet been released,
49:50
but a spokesperson for Senator Warner said that it is
49:54
expected expected to contain the provisions around corporate secrecy that
49:59
the set has fought for. So according to Senator Warner's office,
50:08
he's going hard, he's charging hard. He wants to make
50:11
sure secrecy is no longer attained by these people. Blah blah,
50:15
blah blah blah. Warner, You've been in office for a
50:18
long time, my friend, and excuse me if I am cynical,
50:24
if I don't really trust what you have to say
50:27
here now. I want it to occur, and I hope
50:31
that it occurs. But these people that we have in DC,
50:35
people like Warner and all of the other incumbents that
50:38
have been there for years, are not people that I trust.
50:42
I think that they're all scummy. I think that they're
50:45
all scamming and plotting and figuring out how to enrich
50:49
themselves on the backs of the American people. And I
50:52
don't think that our best interest is ever put first.
50:59
I think it's all the purse or the pocketbook of
51:02
these congressmen and women and these senators. And every now
51:08
and then you'll run across one that wants to do
51:10
the right thing, but they get swallowed by the wave
51:14
of scumbag kleptocrats that surround them. So I'd really like
51:20
to see the language in this. This is all a
51:21
nice idea, a nice first step, but I don't think
51:25
that this is the cudgel that is needed to smash
51:28
these people over the head. To do that, we'd have
51:31
to send some of these people to prison. Some of
51:33
these banksters have to go to prison to set an example.
51:36
That is the way to fix this. The expected language
51:41
mirror is the Illicit Cash Act introduced last year. That
51:45
bill was introduced by a bipartisan group of senators including
51:48
Warner as well as Tom Cotton, a Republican from Arkansas,
51:53
and Catherine Cortes Masdow, a Democrat from Nevada. So the
51:58
Illicit Cash Act is is a bill that was put
52:04
forward to stop money laundering. Right, but now, what they're
52:08
doing is instead of trying to push it as just
52:11
theicit the Illicit Cash Act, They've inserted it into the
52:15
omnibus bill to try and force the hand of people
52:20
that are voting on the spending bill. So it's a
52:23
shrewd move. It is a pretty typical move in DC
52:29
to insert things in a larger bill, but this one time,
52:33
right here, I am really not that mad about it
52:35
because a lot of these senators and congressmen and women
52:39
are bought and paid for by the banks, and they
52:41
would never vote on something like this of their own accord.
52:44
If they're forced to vote on it in a larger bill,
52:48
then well what are you gonna do? You're forced to
52:50
vote for it. But I hope that it has teeth
52:56
and I hope that it's enforced. Do I think that
52:59
it's going to be me? Not so much, But we'll
53:04
have to see. Right at least there are the the
53:08
the steps you're being taken to curb this. Steps are
53:13
being taken to bring these people to heal. The question
53:17
is are these steps far enough. If you'd like to
