Sermon for the Feast of St. Luke | Luke 10:1-9
On the Feast of St. Luke the Evangelist, we give thanks for the Gospel that reveals who Jesus Christ is and what He has accomplished for our salvation. Through Luke’s account, we hear the words of Christ that continue to shape the Church’s worship and give us certainty in God’s promises. As Jesus sent out the seventy-two to proclaim His peace, He continues to send His Word into the world, bringing sinners the forgiveness and peace with God that only He can give.
