- 0:20Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:24Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:28Speaker 1: Trey Trendholm and Raj Sharma. Today is Tuesday, July eighth,
- 0:35Speaker 1: two thy twenty five. Last I saw the death toll
- 0:42Speaker 1: from the Texas floods was into the eighties. It's going
- 0:47Speaker 1: to be some time before, unfortunately, that number stops going up.
- 0:57Speaker 1: It is beyond traffic and tragic. It is beyond tragic.
- 1:01Speaker 1: It's devastating, and there are some ways if you feel
- 1:10Speaker 1: compelled to do so, there are some ways that you
- 1:13Speaker 1: can help. The Kerr County Flood Relief Fund was set
- 1:22Speaker 1: up by the Texas Hill Country Community Foundation to help
- 1:25Speaker 1: the victims of the July fourth floods. Money is donated
- 1:29Speaker 1: to this fund will be distributed to organizations that provide
- 1:32Speaker 1: food assistance, rescue efforts, and relief efforts. The communities supported
- 1:37Speaker 1: through this fund include hunt Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and
- 1:42Speaker 1: Comfort There's also the American Red Cross of Central and
- 1:49Speaker 1: South Texas. The American Red Cross is accepting donations. The
- 1:53Speaker 1: Central and South Texas branch focuses on relief efforts in
- 1:57Speaker 1: the area, including providing food as well as financial and
- 2:00Speaker 1: travel assistance for those affected. The Salvation Army is providing
- 2:06Speaker 1: myriad types of relief efforts in the areas affected by
- 2:10Speaker 1: the flooding, including emergency aid, food, drinks, and other critical supplies. Also,
- 2:18Speaker 1: Curville Pets Alive. We are all huge animal lovers inside
- 2:23Speaker 1: the treehouse and people are not the only ones affected
- 2:26Speaker 1: by this flooding. Animals have been as well. Curville Pets
- 2:30Speaker 1: Alive is accepting donations that will help buy supplies for
- 2:34Speaker 1: homeless pets in the area. You know, that's just four.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I can I throw one other one out?
- 2:41Speaker 1: No, I was about to say that that's just four examples.
- 2:44Speaker 1: There are many, many others, Trey, what did you have?
- 2:47Speaker 3: Go to HB dot com support a Texas the best
- 2:52Speaker 3: grocery store in Texas. But the fact that you know
- 2:54Speaker 3: they already had trucks rolling down there Saturday afternoon, and.
- 2:59Speaker 2: They have a you go to their homepage, they have
- 3:01Speaker 2: a fun.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Set up that they are out there distributing supplies now.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Also TECHSAR, which is Texas Search and Rescue. It's another group.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I mean, there are many, many, many outstanding groups and
- 3:19Speaker 1: people doing things to help all those affected by the
- 3:22Speaker 1: floods in Central Texas, we welcome can do one of
- 3:26Speaker 1: those and donate to your hearts. And while it's content,
- 3:30Speaker 1: yes rash Yeah.
- 3:31Speaker 4: My buddy Lance Archer from the AW he's from right
- 3:35Speaker 4: outside of Bryan College Station and he's got to GoFundMe.
- 3:38Speaker 5: That's going to one of those organizations as well.
- 3:41Speaker 4: So if you want directly, it's somebody I trust and
- 3:43Speaker 4: now I've known for years and wonderful guy, always out
- 3:46Speaker 4: there helping the community when he can.
- 3:48Speaker 5: So it's on my page, it's on his page.
- 3:50Speaker 4: But if you go to Lance Hoyt, which is his
- 3:52Speaker 4: real last name, because whose name is Archer, but it's
- 3:57Speaker 4: the Lance Archer AW just and him a bunch of
- 4:01Speaker 4: gofundme's out there that are really good.
- 4:03Speaker 5: So God bless all those people out there.
- 4:07Speaker 1: It was truly stunning to see how quickly those flood
- 4:13Speaker 1: waters rose, because obviously I didn't see anything that happened
- 4:17Speaker 1: in the middle of the night that so many lives
- 4:22Speaker 1: on the fourth of July, but various other videos, you know,
- 4:27Speaker 1: from early in the morning of you know, water rising
- 4:33Speaker 1: within ten minutes to deadly levels, and it's just stunning
- 4:38Speaker 1: to see how quickly something like that can and does happen.
- 4:44Speaker 1: It truly is just frightening.
- 4:50Speaker 2: It is. It was. I mean, it's absolutely devastating. I
- 4:56Speaker 2: am stick has a.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Brother camp of a male camp counterpart which called La Hunta.
- 5:08Speaker 3: I went to the HUNTA very familiar with that area,
- 5:13Speaker 3: and you know, it's just it's absolutely tragic and I
- 5:23Speaker 3: can't even believe how political people have turned this in
- 5:25Speaker 3: into It's the fact of matter is is you know
- 5:31Speaker 3: they'll be there. There will absolutely be questions that need
- 5:34Speaker 3: to be answered. But now at the time, people the
- 5:38Speaker 3: Weather Service did their job. This system stalled out and
- 5:43Speaker 3: they predicted eight to ten, they issued the alerts, but
- 5:46Speaker 3: it happened overnight and it umped about an extra six
- 5:49Speaker 3: inches of rain, which and you know it's like happens
- 5:53Speaker 3: with hurricanes, you know, especially in Texas, how they're seldom
- 5:59Speaker 3: a week goes by. We don't get a flash flood
- 6:00Speaker 3: of alert. And yeah, there's a fatigue that comes with
- 6:06Speaker 3: it that people forget. Oh shit, sorry about that.
- 6:13Speaker 1: That's all right, it is a reality. And that's something
- 6:17Speaker 1: that after thinking about all the other important factors, first
- 6:26Speaker 1: those affected, how to help those affected, and then further
- 6:29Speaker 1: on down is taking for granted the alerts and warnings
- 6:37Speaker 1: and notices that we do receive, they don't always come
- 6:42Speaker 1: in on time, can't. I mean, there are various reasons
- 6:45Speaker 1: for it, and the fact is that for the most part,
- 6:48Speaker 1: we all ignore them. We typically ignore so many of
- 6:53Speaker 1: those alerts. And I will be the first to admit,
- 6:56Speaker 1: if it doesn't say warning on the end of it,
- 6:59Speaker 1: I don't pay it attention to it. If it's a
- 7:01Speaker 1: flash flood watch, I'm not that concerned about it. If
- 7:04Speaker 1: it's a tornado watch, I'm not that concerned about it.
- 7:07Speaker 1: When it says warning, that's when I'll start to pay attention.
- 7:10Speaker 1: When there's an amber alert. Have a tendency to ignore those,
- 7:14Speaker 1: despite the reason for it. It's massively important that we
- 7:17Speaker 1: pay attention to those. We got that blue alert it
- 7:21Speaker 1: was earlier this year or late last year where they
- 7:24Speaker 1: were trying to find some guy from the Panhandle and
- 7:27Speaker 1: woke everybody up on a Saturday morning at like five am,
- 7:29Speaker 1: and the whole state was pissed.
- 7:32Speaker 5: That's blue.
- 7:33Speaker 1: That's a police alert. Oh okay, And we all need
- 7:38Speaker 1: to keep in mind that there is a reason that
- 7:40Speaker 1: those alerts exist. And the movie Twisters, like the first
- 7:45Speaker 1: movie Twister, was built around the whole premise of trying
- 7:48Speaker 1: to create a system in which we can get warnings
- 7:52Speaker 1: two people faster when they need them. So one of
- 7:56Speaker 1: the lessons to learn from this is tragedy can strike
- 7:59Speaker 1: it any given moment, any given time. And let's stop
- 8:05Speaker 1: taking for granted the alerts and the warnings that we
- 8:08Speaker 1: do receive, because it wasn't that long ago that people
- 8:12Speaker 1: didn't get any warnings. Stuff just happened.
- 8:15Speaker 5: M h.
- 8:16Speaker 3: I'm as I'm as guilty as any I have the
- 8:18Speaker 3: alerts turned off on my phone, like you know, and
- 8:22Speaker 3: that's stupid and you shouldn't. But uh, probably after that
- 8:26Speaker 3: one where that woke everyone up at like five in
- 8:28Speaker 3: the morning, the silver.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Alert, if I'll look at it, like, you know, I
- 8:34Speaker 4: feel bad it's an elderly person. But if it's like
- 8:37Speaker 4: you know McCallum, Texas, it's like eleven hours away, I'm like, yeah,
- 8:41Speaker 4: I'm not paying attention to that one.
- 8:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Do the silver alerts come through on the phone.
- 8:46Speaker 5: No, you'll see them on the highway.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, but see they know that we don't care
- 8:50Speaker 1: about the the elder is enough to text them to us.
- 8:53Speaker 1: They only put those on the overpass.
- 8:57Speaker 2: But I did.
- 8:57Speaker 5: There was one silver alert that was in side.
- 9:00Speaker 4: I have an X that lives in Sachina was like,
- 9:02Speaker 4: y'all lost one, so start looking around. I don't know
- 9:04Speaker 4: what to tell you. I'm trying to help, That's all
- 9:07Speaker 4: I was trying to do.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Just just start at BUCkies.
- 9:10Speaker 5: We work your way in.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Because as someone who will eventually be a Silver Alert,
- 9:16Speaker 1: I guarantee you what they're going to do is they
- 9:18Speaker 1: are going to revert to their routine and or places
- 9:21Speaker 1: that they want to be. That's what's going to happen.
- 9:24Speaker 1: So if you if you lost, if you lost me
- 9:27Speaker 1: Maar or Pipa, just go to either their favorite places
- 9:30Speaker 1: or the places that they frequent. They're going to be
- 9:32Speaker 1: at one of them.
- 9:34Speaker 2: So when you go missing, we'll just look at the
- 9:36Speaker 2: box store.
- 9:39Speaker 1: The empty appliance box store. That is where I will
- 9:41Speaker 1: be and honestly leave me there.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Because I am so happy tree I found him at
- 9:47Speaker 4: Big Pencil Depot.
- 9:55Speaker 6: You'll listen to the tree House visits online that Treehouse
- 9:59Speaker 6: on air.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Let's get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration
- 10:06Speaker 1: into the Treehouse eight three three Cook DFW to get
- 10:09Speaker 1: your free roof inspection schedule the website cookdfw dot com.
- 10:14Speaker 1: In twenty twenty seven, it has been announced that Spaceballs
- 10:18Speaker 1: Too will hit theaters and I can't wait. What about you?
- 10:22Speaker 7: I'm concerned with the age of the actors in that.
- 10:26Speaker 7: I mean, are they going to actually make it? Are
- 10:28Speaker 7: they going to film everything as fast as they can
- 10:30Speaker 7: just in case that if they do pass away? They
- 10:32Speaker 7: already have a lot of the recording for it, so
- 10:35Speaker 7: because it takes a while to edit all that stuff.
- 10:37Speaker 7: So I just hope it comes through. I know everybody's
- 10:40Speaker 7: going to be building it up. It is something we
- 10:41Speaker 7: grew up with. To see another production of it, I
- 10:46Speaker 7: think it's going to be fantastic.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Do you ever get any design ideas for people's homes
- 10:50Speaker 1: from the first Spaceballs?
- 10:52Speaker 7: You know, I've went in some people's homes, and there
- 10:54Speaker 7: are some There are some elaborate Star.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Wars fans, for sure.
- 10:58Speaker 7: Okay, so you know, obviously not the same. But I
- 11:02Speaker 7: have seen some people designed some absolutely stunning feats, like
- 11:07Speaker 7: a millennium falcon front facia in their game rooms, and uh,
- 11:11Speaker 7: you know, high fighters hanging from the ceiling. And one guy,
- 11:16Speaker 7: you know, he did infinity lights on a on a
- 11:19Speaker 7: mirror basically all the way through and he put all
- 11:21Speaker 7: the action figures behind it.
- 11:22Speaker 8: And so yeah, there are some.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Unique things that you can do with your home.
- 11:25Speaker 1: So absolutely, I'm willing to bet that Daniel would love
- 11:29Speaker 1: to help you install a fresh air dispenser a la
- 11:33Speaker 1: Spaceballs in your home. Give him a call. I guarantee

- 12:19Speaker 1: That's eight three three Cook DFW or the website cookdfw
- 12:24Speaker 1: dot com. This is the Treehouse Show. I'm Daniel Malley
- 12:27Speaker 1: along with Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. Now let's while
- 12:32Speaker 1: keeping in mind the heavy hearts and the heavy minds
- 12:34Speaker 1: that we have with all the flood victims and everything
- 12:39Speaker 1: that's happening in Texas, with all the tragedy, Let's let's
- 12:44Speaker 1: take a moment and reflect that this is why we exist,
- 12:50Speaker 1: is to offer people somewhat of an escape from tragedy
- 12:56Speaker 1: or sometimes just the mundane aspects of life. And so
- 13:02Speaker 1: we're gonna do that by doing something that I feel
- 13:04Speaker 1: like next to baseball is a true human pastime, and
- 13:08Speaker 1: that's commenting on other people's relationships. For example, a business
- 13:15Speaker 1: class model got dumped by her economy boyfriend. Nice yeah,
- 13:23Speaker 1: so what had happened? Was a Brazilian model and quote
- 13:28Speaker 1: unquote influencer, which is basically just you know, code for
- 13:32Speaker 1: ash shots on Instagram says she was dumped by her
- 13:36Speaker 1: boyfriend because she left him in coach while she opted
- 13:39Speaker 1: to fly business class on their first vacation together. First
- 13:46Speaker 1: vacation is a huge milestone in new relationships. That's a
- 13:51Speaker 1: huge test whether or not you are going to make it,
- 13:56Speaker 1: not just long term, but through the trip.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 14:01Speaker 1: That first trip can make or break relationships, and it
- 14:04Speaker 1: broke this one. The reasoning is because the boyfriend didn't
- 14:10Speaker 1: want to fly business class. He saw it as a
- 14:13Speaker 1: waste of money. Princess says, well, I'm gonna do it.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I don't fly back there, so I am going to
- 14:21Speaker 1: treat myself and buy my own business class seat, leaving
- 14:26Speaker 1: him in economy. And then she had all the comforts
- 14:28Speaker 1: of business class. And then I guess upon arrival he said,
- 14:37Speaker 1: you know what, I just don't think we're gonna work.
- 14:39Speaker 1: We're on two different levels here. And she took to
- 14:44Speaker 1: social media to explain how much better off she.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Is when he was screaming at her about how much
- 14:56Speaker 4: better off he is. Was he doing that from outside
- 14:59Speaker 4: the lounge.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I feel like they closed the curtain on him.
- 15:05Speaker 5: Slowly and on their relationship.
- 15:11Speaker 3: This is this puts me in a very unique and
- 15:15Speaker 3: unusual position of I'm I.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Don't fault her one bit.
- 15:21Speaker 5: I don't either.
- 15:21Speaker 2: I mean, listen, that is.
- 15:25Speaker 3: I fully understand uh that she wanted to fly business class.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Now I just found out a friend of mine this
- 15:34Speaker 3: happened to her that her husband flew first class while
- 15:41Speaker 3: she flew coach. Now that that's a different story.
- 15:50Speaker 1: That's a double standard to what that is.
- 15:54Speaker 2: That's a that's a bad decision.
- 15:59Speaker 1: So so real quick, this specific relationship, was he the
- 16:05Speaker 1: guy that's flying economy, wanted her to fly with him
- 16:09Speaker 1: because it's their first trip together as a couple. He
- 16:12Speaker 1: wanted to travel together. She said, no, that's okay, and
- 16:16Speaker 1: she bought her ticket and flew business class. Based on
- 16:21Speaker 1: that small additional piece of information, tray Raj, does that
- 16:26Speaker 1: change your outlook on this at all?
- 16:30Speaker 3: I know this is a really vain question. But how
- 16:34Speaker 3: long was the flight?
- 16:38Speaker 1: I don't know if I found it. Apparently it was
- 16:41Speaker 1: a long ish flight, but I don't know how far
- 16:44Speaker 1: I think there was lying.
- 16:46Speaker 2: I don't. I don't falter I that's his dumbaut.
- 16:49Speaker 4: He if it was over an hour and a half. Huh,
- 16:53Speaker 4: it was over an hour and a half. Two hours, Yeah,
- 16:56Speaker 4: you want some you want some comfort.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I was going to say three, but you know, I'm
- 17:00Speaker 2: I'm at a certain point.
- 17:05Speaker 3: And clearly he's never flown business class, because then he
- 17:07Speaker 3: would have known, because that's just really it's a much
- 17:09Speaker 3: better way to go.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Apparently they were flying to Paris, and seeing as how
- 17:14Speaker 1: she is a Brazilian model, I'm assuming they don't live
- 17:20Speaker 1: in Nice.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Well we'll assume they're flying from Brazil to Paris. Yeah, absolutely,
- 17:25Speaker 3: he should have ponied up all right, or at least
- 17:28Speaker 3: ask mama if she'd, you know, buy him a ticket.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Yeah, one more ash shot and he's got his you know,
- 17:35Speaker 4: he's got his ticket.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Well, that's the other thing too, is I guess they
- 17:38Speaker 1: were both paying their own way, or he had paid
- 17:41Speaker 1: for both their stuff, and she was like, now you
- 17:44Speaker 1: keep that seat, I'm going to upgrade myself and fly comfortably.
- 17:49Speaker 1: The thing that she says that she says, and keep
- 17:53Speaker 1: in mind, we have no idea if any of this
- 17:54Speaker 1: is true. She says that the ironic part of all
- 17:57Speaker 1: of this is that he makes more money and she does.
- 18:01Speaker 1: She just wants to spend money on the comfort that
- 18:05Speaker 1: she can afford, whereas he sees it as a financial waste.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Yeah, that's how I mean, that's how some wealthy people
- 18:13Speaker 4: stay wealthy. You know, her her finances may dwindle after
- 18:20Speaker 4: over time with the Instagram influencing his will not And
- 18:24Speaker 4: I'm sure that that is what he's looking at, is
- 18:26Speaker 4: the big picture. But if he did pay for everything
- 18:29Speaker 4: and she upgraded without offering him the upgrade to pay
- 18:33Speaker 4: for her, you know, I'll pay for both of us.
- 18:35Speaker 4: You've paid for everything else. That's a different story. And
- 18:38Speaker 4: she's kind of a bitch.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I just think that as a couple they probably should
- 18:48Speaker 1: have discussed this a little more before getting to the airport.
- 18:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Also, it's just I have no intention of taking a
- 19:01Speaker 1: flight that long until I've saved up enough money to
- 19:07Speaker 1: afford something better than economy.
- 19:10Speaker 3: M Also, let's also, if you're dating a air quotes
- 19:19Speaker 3: a Brazilian influencer and model, you should have expected this.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Yes, true, Yeah, I mean she could get recognized on
- 19:29Speaker 4: the plane, she could get harassed in coach.
- 19:31Speaker 5: You know, you never know what could have happened.
- 19:33Speaker 1: There's that is actually some of her reasoning for not
- 19:36Speaker 1: wanting to fly in economy, because then she is subjected
- 19:40Speaker 1: to the creeps who ogle her.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I agree, And now she has got left alone and
- 19:47Speaker 3: first in business class with the creeps that can pay
- 19:49Speaker 3: for her.
- 19:54Speaker 1: There's the difference. You're in the Treehouse.

- 21:28Speaker 4: from Dallas to Los Angeles.
- 21:29Speaker 5: The lady that was sitting next to me is the
- 21:31Speaker 5: owner of a poo prie. Oh yes, And we started and.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Where and what where were you seated on the plane?
- 21:39Speaker 5: First class?
- 21:40Speaker 4: Okay, she was sitting next to me and and we
- 21:43Speaker 4: just started talking. She's like, yeah, you know, I'm going
- 21:45Speaker 4: to LA you know, We're going a little bit of
- 21:47Speaker 4: business and some pleasure with the family.
- 21:48Speaker 5: I was like, Oh, where's your who's who are you
- 21:50Speaker 5: here with.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Husband and sun? Where are they economy? I was like, okay, well,
- 21:55Speaker 4: I mean she's like I tried. She's like, I tried
- 21:59Speaker 4: to upgrade us all but there was only one seat
- 22:01Speaker 4: left in first class and I took it. And I
- 22:06Speaker 4: sort of made fun of that because that's what I do.
- 22:08Speaker 4: And she's like, no, my son's sixteen. I don't think
- 22:10Speaker 4: he'd appreciate it. And then you know, I took I
- 22:14Speaker 4: took it, And in my head, I'm like, she's the
- 22:15Speaker 4: one that founded the company, She's the one that makes
- 22:18Speaker 4: the millions of dollars on poop spray.
- 22:20Speaker 1: No no, no, no, no, no no no no, no
- 22:22Speaker 1: no no. She needs to respect her muse. No woman
- 22:28Speaker 1: is going to invent Pooperrie without a man giving her
- 22:31Speaker 1: solid reasons to do so. That is exactly what happened.
- 22:34Speaker 4: I asked her how she came up with it, and
- 22:36Speaker 4: she said his poops were so bad he wasn't allowed
- 22:39Speaker 4: to use their bathroom, and uh, that's how she invented
- 22:43Speaker 4: it is because.
- 22:44Speaker 1: They do say is the mother of invention. I just
- 22:52Speaker 1: liked the fact that that she said she took it.
- 22:54Speaker 1: It wasn't like it was a chivalry play on the
- 22:56Speaker 1: husband's part or anything or that, or that there was
- 22:59Speaker 1: some sort of a discuss where they said and the
- 23:02Speaker 1: husband's like, no, you know what, baby, you go ahead.
- 23:03Speaker 1: You founded the company. You're the reason why we can
- 23:05Speaker 1: even afford any first class ticket. You go up there. Meanwhile,
- 23:09Speaker 1: I'll be back here destroying this economy laboratory.
- 23:14Speaker 4: Yeah, that may be the actual reason why she didn't
- 23:17Speaker 4: want him up there. But yeah, I mean he's uh,
- 23:22Speaker 4: you know, she made She makes like forty some one
- 23:24Speaker 4: million dollars a year off the poop.
- 23:25Speaker 5: Spray, so she used it.
- 23:27Speaker 1: It's good stuff.
- 23:28Speaker 5: It is really good. She sent me a whole gift
- 23:30Speaker 5: basket to my apartment.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Yeah, all right.
- 23:32Speaker 1: So question if that same scenario came up where you
- 23:36Speaker 1: are traveling with your significant other and you, guys, plan
- 23:40Speaker 1: is to fly first class but there's only one seat,
- 23:44Speaker 1: are you taking it or are you playing the chivalry
- 23:47Speaker 1: card and giving it to her?
- 23:51Speaker 4: No, no, first class ontal plane.
- 23:54Speaker 5: There's no chivalry card.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Dad, Chivalry disappears at the curtain.
- 24:00Speaker 4: That's exactly right. I'm having a whiskey rocks and the chicken.
- 24:08Speaker 1: And then what about you.
- 24:11Speaker 3: If I am enjoying the relationship, then I am giving
- 24:15Speaker 3: it to her or trying to buy someone out of
- 24:19Speaker 3: their seat or anything.
- 24:21Speaker 2: But the uh, if.
- 24:26Speaker 3: You do that and you put the woman back in coach,
- 24:32Speaker 3: there's a very good chance your relationship is over or
- 24:34Speaker 3: else that is at least going to be something you
- 24:35Speaker 3: are going to be hearing about for the next fifteen years.
- 24:38Speaker 1: And here's another time you get in a fight, and
- 24:41Speaker 1: every time you fly, and here's another possibility, knowing the
- 24:45Speaker 1: lineage of crazy women you've dated, Trey, if you take
- 24:48Speaker 1: the first class seat and you send her to coach,
- 24:51Speaker 1: she's going to end up in first class. But you
- 24:53Speaker 1: know how she's going to do it. Did you ever
- 24:55Speaker 1: see the Twilight Zone movie? Remember the thing out there
- 25:00Speaker 1: here on the wing of the plane. She's coming for you, Trey.
- 25:05Speaker 4: I mean they when they arrest her, they have to
- 25:07Speaker 4: go through first class to take her off the plane,
- 25:10Speaker 4: so you'll see her again.
- 25:12Speaker 10: When she's like that guy is not real, not real?
- 25:17Speaker 10: It goes Tray's girl. And that's when Tray sees her
- 25:21Speaker 10: like being dragged off the plane in handcuffs and he's like,
- 25:25Speaker 10: more nuts, please, thank you.
- 25:27Speaker 1: They have another Membosa.
- 25:31Speaker 3: It's just a Tasmanian devil just swirling up and down
- 25:34Speaker 3: the aisles trying to taze her, and she like bites it,
- 25:37Speaker 3: spits it out.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Good try.
- 25:40Speaker 1: All it does is make her stronger. Tray's embarrassed, but
- 25:46Speaker 1: he's also a little bit turned on.

- 27:03Speaker 1: House is open. Let's grow. This is the Treehouse show.
- 27:07Speaker 1: I'm Dan, he's trade, that's Raj. It is Tuesday, which
- 27:12Speaker 1: means it's time for another tree House talkback, and well
- 27:18Speaker 1: hold on to your butts.
- 27:24Speaker 12: Hey, Trey, I remember you said you hate avocado toast.
- 27:29Speaker 1: You're making a fake tray.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I've never said that. I'm white. I enjoy a good
- 27:35Speaker 2: avocado toast.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Yeah you do. You don't have to.
- 27:42Speaker 2: I think you do.
- 27:43Speaker 5: It comes on white toast.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I like it better on sour though.
- 27:49Speaker 5: Wait no, no, that's exactly right.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I'm white and I don't care for avocado toast.
- 27:54Speaker 2: I want.
- 27:55Speaker 1: If I'm ordering an appetizer, I'll get a normal appetizer,
- 27:57Speaker 1: and if I want an entree, I'll get a regular
- 27:59Speaker 1: ass on, especially a brunch. Avocado toast is not an entree.
- 28:05Speaker 5: It is not.
- 28:05Speaker 4: It is an appetizer. It's my my ex wife, very
- 28:09Speaker 4: lovely Australian lady. We would go to a place in
- 28:12Speaker 4: La and we'd get the albaco. Oh, she would get
- 28:14Speaker 4: the avocado toast and I would beerate it the entire time.
- 28:18Speaker 5: So so stop stop being invited.
- 28:22Speaker 1: So maybe Dakota here is confusing you, Trey, and you Raj.
- 28:26Speaker 1: So Trey, you're you're four avocado toast, RAJ you were.
- 28:30Speaker 4: I brought it up as I can't. I can't have
- 28:32Speaker 4: pretentious food. I can't do it. I can't order it.
- 28:34Speaker 4: I can't. I don't like it. I'm not going to
- 28:36Speaker 4: ever do it. And avocado toast was one of the
- 28:38Speaker 4: examples I brought up. It's just welcome, only untasted.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Let's hear what the rest of Dakota's talkback is. And
- 28:45Speaker 1: I feel your pain.
- 28:46Speaker 12: I've started a job where now I have to make
- 28:48Speaker 12: avocado toast is one of the items on the menu,
- 28:51Speaker 12: and it is ridiculous paying twenty dollars for a damn.
- 28:55Speaker 5: Piece of toast with avocado on it.
- 28:59Speaker 1: He's not wrong, but at least at least you're making
- 29:02Speaker 1: money off the avocado toast.
- 29:03Speaker 3: I mean, if you're working at a place it's charging
- 29:06Speaker 3: twenty dollars for avocado toast, well.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Good for you.
- 29:11Speaker 3: You're probably you're probably working a brunch shift, and God
- 29:13Speaker 3: bless you, because those are the worst.
- 29:15Speaker 1: You are the heroes. You're the heroes of the food industry.
- 29:18Speaker 1: God bless you, brunch workers.
- 29:19Speaker 3: That's uh yeah, I hope you uh, I hope you
- 29:22Speaker 3: get promoted and get out of brunch because it is.
- 29:26Speaker 2: It is an awful shift to work on everybody.
- 29:29Speaker 1: So you know, what's what is crazy to me is
- 29:31Speaker 1: how much the food industry and the service industry poops
- 29:36Speaker 1: on the brunch shift. But those of us in the
- 29:39Speaker 1: public love brunch.
- 29:42Speaker 2: And there's a direct correlation.
- 29:47Speaker 1: I understand ya, but I don't want it. Yeah, what
- 29:52Speaker 1: is it?
- 29:52Speaker 5: Rus? I'm not a brunch I can't.
- 29:54Speaker 13: I'm not.
- 29:54Speaker 4: That's I can't. That's not something I can do. I'm like,
- 29:57Speaker 4: is I'm breakfast or lunch? Let's sort it out. I'm
- 30:00Speaker 4: not trying to meet in the middle. I don't want
- 30:01Speaker 4: Hollanday sauce on my eggs. I just want eggs.
- 30:05Speaker 5: I don't.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I don't have to get Hollandays on the eggs. You
- 30:07Speaker 1: can just get eggs. Yeah.
- 30:09Speaker 4: I don't need to be around four drunk x you
- 30:12Speaker 4: know former storty girls that were catching up on the
- 30:14Speaker 4: bottomless Mimosa's while.
- 30:15Speaker 5: I'm trying to enjoy some baking an ex just can't
- 30:19Speaker 5: do it. I can't.
- 30:22Speaker 8: Okay, Hey, guys, Devin here, longtime listener. Love listening to
- 30:29Speaker 8: you guys. You I was just listening to you guys
- 30:32Speaker 8: talk about Billy May's and all the pitchmin stuff. And
- 30:38Speaker 8: I remember back when Billy Mays when they first and
- 30:41Speaker 8: ound had died. That was like a Thursday or Friday,
- 30:44Speaker 8: Saturday or Sunday. There was a commercial that came on
- 30:49Speaker 8: and it was the funniest thing because it literally started
- 30:51Speaker 8: off with Billy May's back again, and all of a sudden,
- 30:57Speaker 8: that channel went black because someone realized, oh, that commercial
- 31:01Speaker 8: shouldn't be on. You guys might might like that. Thanks,
- 31:05Speaker 8: just love listening to you guys.
- 31:07Speaker 11: Yeah, Billy Mays, geez zombie cream, I'm gonna go with
- 31:17Speaker 11: you know, uh.
- 31:19Speaker 5: Billy May's the Resurrection.
- 31:21Speaker 10: I would I I would watch whatever product that is
- 31:25Speaker 10: I'd buy.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I mean, especially that had been on like Kreuflo Dollars,
- 31:32Speaker 3: you know show that would have been just fantastic.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that had been an unholy pairing.
- 31:36Speaker 5: Uh huh. Jesse de Planiss brings back Billy Mays.
- 31:43Speaker 1: What is it the fix a leak or whatever the
- 31:45Speaker 1: leak seal is flex seal? Yeah, flex seal? How good
- 31:49Speaker 1: is that flex seal? Rock back Billy Mays?
- 31:52Speaker 5: When to that flex seal, It's stop the hemorrhaging of
- 31:55Speaker 5: his brain.
- 31:56Speaker 2: He's alive.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Not only did it seal the hemorrhage in his brain
- 32:01Speaker 1: and in his heart, but it reversed the effects. And
- 32:03Speaker 1: here he is to tell us all about it.
- 32:06Speaker 4: I love how they were stunned by the fact that
- 32:08Speaker 4: they found cocaine in his system.
- 32:09Speaker 5: I'm like, how excited can you be about a garden hose?
- 32:14Speaker 1: I would have been. I would have been more surprised. Wait,
- 32:17Speaker 1: hang on, I would have been less surprised if they
- 32:20Speaker 1: found oxy clean in his system.
- 32:28Speaker 5: They were gonna find some kind of oxy and it's.
- 32:33Speaker 10: Codone clean. I don't know which one it was gonna be,
- 32:35Speaker 10: but they were gonna find one.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Whichever one I could get four easy installments of.
- 32:40Speaker 5: He was from Florida, so.
- 32:43Speaker 1: You know what it was that the cards were stacked
- 32:46Speaker 1: against him. Can you can take the man out of Florida?
- 32:58Speaker 5: Which you can't take the cocaine out of his bloodstream?
- 33:01Speaker 1: Hey, did y'all hear about Billy? Yeah, you're selling oxy
- 33:03Speaker 1: on TV.
- 33:04Speaker 5: God, he's got the gift.
- 33:07Speaker 2: He shouldn't. He should have never gotten into that war
- 33:09Speaker 2: with Vince?
- 33:12Speaker 1: Was that what it was? There was a pitchman war
- 33:14Speaker 1: with the other with Vince the other pitchman that.
- 33:18Speaker 2: That was a big rivalry. Yeah, that was so Yeah.
- 33:23Speaker 3: I think there was a they they were trying to
- 33:25Speaker 3: a little one upsmanship. But who could be the most hype?
- 33:29Speaker 2: We do?
- 33:29Speaker 1: We know for sure that Vince didn't have anything to
- 33:31Speaker 1: do with Billy May's sudden death.
- 33:36Speaker 4: I think it was the plain turbulence him hitting his
- 33:39Speaker 4: head on the thing and then ignoring it.
- 33:44Speaker 2: And I think Vince might have been in jail at
- 33:46Speaker 2: that by that point.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Oh come on, now, Trey, we all know that you
- 33:51Speaker 1: can make things happen from jail. I mean we're talking
- 33:56Speaker 1: about the Pitchman mafia here.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Like like some jazz hands when he goes sham, Wow,
- 34:04Speaker 3: you don't know they might be slap chopping their way
- 34:06Speaker 3: through the prison walls.
- 34:09Speaker 5: When do you want them to do it? Act?

- 35:14Speaker 1: Today is Wednesday, July ninth, two thy twenty five. Let's
- 35:21Speaker 1: celebrate today. You're shaking your head tray in my off.
- 35:26Speaker 10: Yeah, Today's Tuesday, Tuesday eighth.
- 35:30Speaker 1: My bad? Have I have my wrong date in front
- 35:32Speaker 1: of me? I'll fix it. Here we go. Today is Tuesday,
- 35:38Speaker 1: July eighth, twenty twenty five. Not the first time I've
- 35:41Speaker 1: screwed up the date certainly will not be the last.
- 35:45Speaker 1: If today is your birthday, Happy birthday. But starting with
- 35:51Speaker 1: celebrity birthdays, today, Maya Hawk is twenty seven. Not only
- 35:56Speaker 1: is she the daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawk,
- 36:00Speaker 1: she is probably best known as Robin on Stranger Things.
- 36:05Speaker 1: She's also the voice of anxiety in Inside Out Too,
- 36:09Speaker 1: and she, along with a handful of other young stars
- 36:16Speaker 1: in Hollywood, got a huge break in a little movie
- 36:20Speaker 1: called Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. My wife and
- 36:23Speaker 1: I rewatched this recently because it had been a while
- 36:26Speaker 1: and I wanted to rewatch it, especially after watching, you know,
- 36:29Speaker 1: parts of a couple of Manson documentaries. So Once upon
- 36:34Speaker 1: a Time in Hollywood, one of Quentin Tarantino's films, is
- 36:37Speaker 1: a far departure from the reality of the Manson murders.
- 36:43Speaker 1: But some of the young actors that he cast in
- 36:46Speaker 1: that film have shot to start him since, not necessarily
- 36:51Speaker 1: because of that film. They weren't immediate stars after, but
- 36:56Speaker 1: that was a jumping off point for so many of them.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Some of the names I'm talking about that we're in
- 37:00Speaker 1: that movie, Sidney Sweeney, Margaret Qually, Austin Butler who was
- 37:09Speaker 1: in the New Elvis movie and he was also in
- 37:15Speaker 1: Dune Part two, Maya Hawk, Victoria Pedretti, Mikey Madison and
- 37:23Speaker 1: all these guys got discovered partly because they were seen
- 37:27Speaker 1: in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and since the
- 37:29Speaker 1: film they've just just blown up. So it's very cool
- 37:32Speaker 1: to go back and watch that movie and go, like,
- 37:34Speaker 1: I recognize that person. I know that person from this thing.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Quentin Tarantino was there first, so there you go a
- 37:39Speaker 1: little bit of a useless.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Knowledge for you.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Jaden Smith is also twenty seven today. He is offspring
- 37:47Speaker 1: from Will Smith. Sophia Bush is forty three place Detective
- 37:52Speaker 1: Aaron Lindsay in Chicago, PD Brook Davis on One Tree Hill,
- 37:55Speaker 1: and Void in The Incredibles two, Me Love and Timilia
- 38:00Speaker 1: is forty eight today. He famously played Jack Pearson on
- 38:03Speaker 1: This is Us, where he was killed by a crock Putt.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Did you guys ever watch This is Us?
- 38:14Speaker 5: I watched I think the first five six episodes, but
- 38:17Speaker 5: I remember him from Heroes.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Yes, he was also in Heroes. This show to call
- 38:22Speaker 1: it melodramatic as an understatement, I never saw a whole episode.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I think I saw like ten or fifteen minutes of
- 38:27Speaker 1: an episode on a flight, and I was just thinking,
- 38:33Speaker 1: this is too much drama for me. I don't need.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I have enough family drama in my life, and I
- 38:39Speaker 1: try to avoid family drama at all costs. I don't
- 38:41Speaker 1: want to put in, you know, make believe family drama.
- 38:45Speaker 1: That's just too much for me.
- 38:47Speaker 4: But yeah, I think the whole goal was every episode
- 38:49Speaker 4: is that can we make people cry every single episode?
- 38:51Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 38:52Speaker 1: Well, when they killed his character Jack Pearson and This
- 38:55Speaker 1: is Us, they did it from a fire that was
- 39:00Speaker 1: caused from a crockpot, and it was so damaging to
- 39:06Speaker 1: some of the viewers that they started getting rid of
- 39:09Speaker 1: their crockpots and it hurt sales of crock pots.
- 39:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:14Speaker 4: See, that's when you need to remind you to not
- 39:18Speaker 4: always set it and forget it.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Set it and maybe also set an alarm to help
- 39:23Speaker 1: you remember it so it doesn't kill you.
- 39:29Speaker 3: He was always dead in the show, if I remember correctly.
- 39:32Speaker 3: He was their father that died when the kids were
- 39:35Speaker 3: young and then so it was just tragic for them
- 39:39Speaker 3: finding out how he died. He was already dead in
- 39:42Speaker 3: the show.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Crockpott, like most shows would go with car
- 39:50Speaker 1: accident or maybe he because his character was so well received,
- 39:55Speaker 1: Like maybe he died helping some woman who was being
- 39:58Speaker 1: robbed and he got killed in the process. Nope, Crockpot
- 40:01Speaker 1: trying to make some case.
- 40:01Speaker 5: So here's a pot roast, that's all you trying to do.
- 40:08Speaker 1: He was trying to feed the family.
- 40:14Speaker 4: He died doing what he loved best, doing what he
- 40:19Speaker 4: loved best, slow cooking.
- 40:26Speaker 1: I told you I was you're a girl that.
- 40:33Speaker 10: But the sales of George Foreman Girls went through the roof,
- 40:36Speaker 10: Yeah they did.

- 41:31Speaker 14: Hey, everybody, it's jac did Yann to hear about the
- 41:35Speaker 14: waffle houses in Georgia going on strike. Yeah, I'm telling
- 41:41Speaker 14: you waffle houses in Georgia going on strike. If that
- 41:44Speaker 14: doesn't tell you something's going on in the country, I
- 41:47Speaker 14: don't know what will. Because as we know, we have
- 41:52Speaker 14: a waffle House index. They don't close.
- 41:59Speaker 1: He right about that. It's very rare for waffle houses
- 42:03Speaker 1: to close. Waffle House employees and Marietta, Georgia went on
- 42:07Speaker 1: a three day strike beginning Friday to demand better working
- 42:10Speaker 1: conditions and higher wages. I believe though that this happened
- 42:16Speaker 1: in May, so it might be a couple of months old.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I don't know the current status of the waffle house strike,
- 42:25Speaker 1: but I guess they were planning on three days and
- 42:27Speaker 1: maybe they came back to work, but they had gripes
- 42:31Speaker 1: with waffle House corporate.
- 42:33Speaker 2: I guess.
- 42:35Speaker 1: About a delayed police response to a customer who entered
- 42:40Speaker 1: the store and assaulted a worker. Strikers are also protesting
- 42:43Speaker 1: delayed pay raises that were promised last year and a
- 42:47Speaker 1: mandatory meal deduction policy that they say reduces their take
- 42:50Speaker 1: home pay. Well that's interesting. So you can work at
- 42:53Speaker 1: waffle House but you don't eat free.
- 42:55Speaker 5: Hmm.
- 42:57Speaker 3: It's one of the few times where you mentioned the
- 42:59Speaker 3: words cabs and no one really flinch.
- 43:04Speaker 1: There's waffle house.
- 43:06Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Well yeah, we kind of figured, yeah, that's what the
- 43:10Speaker 1: covered is and scattered's covered, its smothered.
- 43:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:16Speaker 4: I just wanted they wanted their they wanted their insurance
- 43:18Speaker 4: covered and chunked.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Please, please don't do scabs and chunked. I could have
- 43:25Speaker 1: handled smothered and covered, but I don't think I can
- 43:27Speaker 1: handle chunked scabs.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Or I think, you know, maybe this would actually if
- 43:36Speaker 3: your corporate waffle House corporate. You know, I think you
- 43:42Speaker 3: this really might have to get your attention and go,
- 43:44Speaker 3: maybe we need to look at what's going on down there,
- 43:46Speaker 3: because he clearly we're not hiring the right people if
- 43:50Speaker 3: they're getting beat up by the customers, because it's the
- 43:52Speaker 3: waffle house employees who do the ass whippon.
- 43:55Speaker 1: That is true, don't you don't you come across that counter.
- 43:59Speaker 1: I mean, I mean that is a hot spatula and
- 44:02Speaker 1: they will use it.
- 44:03Speaker 8: M h.
- 44:05Speaker 10: That's when you know you're paying low when you can't
- 44:07Speaker 10: get the waffle house employees to fight your customers.
- 44:11Speaker 15: Yeah, yeah, you got like waffle house chefs are basically
- 44:19Speaker 15: like every waffle house chef is basically like a John
- 44:21Speaker 15: Wick with a spatula and a coffee caref.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:27Speaker 4: I like how you call them chefs. That's so sweet
- 44:31Speaker 4: of your dad. Normally they were referred to as inmate
- 44:33Speaker 4: and then a number.
- 44:34Speaker 5: But you can you can yell chef out if you want.
- 44:41Speaker 1: You get hit, you get slapped once with a hot
- 44:43Speaker 1: ass batula, I'll call you whatever you want.
- 44:48Speaker 10: You get beat down by a waffle Yeah, that's a chef.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Yeah, if you end up chunked, you call them whatever
- 44:55Speaker 1: they want you to call them all right one more here.
- 45:00Speaker 16: Hey guys, it's Maxwell here. And listening to that episode
- 45:03Speaker 16: of the Treehouse during the talkback segment where this guy
- 45:06Speaker 16: was really asking whoever Craig was about what their favorite
- 45:10Speaker 16: hot sauce was and then funny enough ending it off
- 45:13Speaker 16: of ooo, it kind of made me think back to
- 45:17Speaker 16: a few years ago, went Alfie, I'd gotten like a
- 45:20Speaker 16: few boxes are so filled with eight gallons full of
- 45:23Speaker 16: Louisiana Hot sauce. And now they kind of made me
- 45:27Speaker 16: want to ask you guys, if you guys hadn't actually
- 45:29Speaker 16: gotten a box that was filled with eight gallons of something,
- 45:32Speaker 16: what would you want that something to be?
- 45:36Speaker 1: Ask?
- 45:37Speaker 9: O random?
- 45:38Speaker 16: Anyways, I hope you guys are having a good day.
- 45:39Speaker 16: And also to make it funny and end it off.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Can can I just say that I would love it
- 45:52Speaker 1: if all of our Treehouse talkback messages ended with a
- 45:55Speaker 1: ooh like he did, Thank you Maxwell.
- 45:58Speaker 5: And now they will.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Making this stupid just a little bit stupider every single day.
- 46:09Speaker 1: I remember that, Yeah, it was Louisiana Hot Sauce. There
- 46:11Speaker 1: was an endorsement that had happened, and like Louisiana Hot
- 46:16Speaker 1: Sauce was so happy they sent us buckets more of
- 46:20Speaker 1: Louisiana Hot sauce and so Okay, Maxwell brings up a
- 46:23Speaker 1: good question. If you could have eight gallons of anything,
- 46:26Speaker 1: what would it be. I'm gonna go cash. I would
- 46:33Speaker 1: like eight gallons of cash.
- 46:34Speaker 5: Please.
- 46:37Speaker 4: I don't know if you can measure money in gallons,
- 46:40Speaker 4: but why not let's try.
- 46:42Speaker 5: Yeah, let's see.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Yeah, liquefied gold, that would be.
- 46:46Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. Train and I
- 46:49Speaker 5: are oddly on the same page.
- 46:51Speaker 1: And not liquid gold like the Velveta commercial from a
- 46:56Speaker 1: few years ago, like actual gold.
- 47:00Speaker 5: Or Velveto. That's good too. I'm like throw some rotel
- 47:04Speaker 5: in there.
- 47:04Speaker 2: You gotta dip.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Either way. Either way, my day got better.
- 47:11Speaker 5: Yeah. Eight gallons of diamonds.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Or little thumb drives that each have a bitcoin on them. Yeah,
- 47:17Speaker 2: I'll take that.
- 47:18Speaker 4: Okay, Yeah, there we go. Uh yeah, I'm going yeah, diamonds.
- 47:25Speaker 4: I can't even imagine how much that would be worth.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Again, let's let's see if someone can help us to
- 47:31Speaker 1: find out.
- 47:32Speaker 5: Send it on over.
- 47:33Speaker 1: Yeah, just send it over and we'll put it in
- 47:35Speaker 1: the buckets and we'll measure it out and we'll totally
- 47:38Speaker 1: send you. What is overage?
- 47:44Speaker 5: This is where Dan forgets your address.
- 47:48Speaker 1: I not only forget the address. I don't know what
- 47:50Speaker 1: an address is. I go full gen z.
- 47:57Speaker 5: I don't know how to mail stuff.
- 48:00Speaker 2: I feel like little Danny. The answer would have been.
- 48:03Speaker 10: Like glue, he's got to have something for lunch.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Rever cement.
- 48:13Speaker 1: It was supposed to be glue, but I traded it
- 48:15Speaker 1: for eight gallons of pink chips and a snack pack.
- 48:23Speaker 1: For all things Treehouse, go to Treehouse on air dot com.
