- 0:05sisters, Wherever you're watching or listening from
- 0:07around the world, if you're here for the first time, make sure
- 0:09you hit that subscribe button on YouTube, Apple, Spotify or
- 0:12wherever you're hearing us from. If you've been tuning in, you'll
- 0:15know that we've been talking about Karabala, Imam Hussain
- 0:18Ashura and talking about the historics and how it applies to
- 0:21us contemporarily Today and today we're going to do the same
- 0:24sort of thing. We are going to talk about Imam
- 0:26Zain and Aberdeen Ali Islam are for is he under appreciated?
- 0:32Is he undervalued and what lessons can we take away from
- 0:35him, especially when we talk about recent news, current
- 0:38affairs such as the burning of the Quran and of course a lot of
- 0:41the pressure that face Muslims in the East as well as the West.
- 0:44And as always, I'm joined by my very eloquent and my respected
- 0:49brother say that Ali Rodow it's not my looking
- 1:02are you keeping? Hamdula keeping well yourself?
- 1:07I'm OK, bro. Hamdula.
- 1:10Yeah, it's it's now we're recording 10 days after Ashurah,
- 1:14so it's like a it's it's an odd phase in a way because it feels
- 1:20like Ashurah feels like a while ago.
- 1:24It's only been 10 days. So as if we've reached the peak.
- 1:26Yeah. Or the morning still continues.
- 1:28It does. It doesn't.
- 1:29We have to remember not to let it slip.
- 1:30So we still wear black. We still attend majalis.
- 1:33We still observe the practices and rituals.
- 1:36We still cry when you hear Mark say his name and we hear the
- 1:38tragedies of Kadabula and what happened after as well.
- 1:41And in these days is where we mourn the post Ashra period.
- 1:46So we we cannot let slip. Very, very important.
- 1:50We can't. And, you know, we're leading up
- 1:51to the shahada. Imam Ali Abdel Hussain, I'm
- 1:55Sajasi Ali Salaam. And I think you know, you've
- 1:58asked the question, do we like, underrate him?
- 2:02You know, do we, do we like? Forget his life.
- 2:06Do we do we neglect while he stood for and everything?
- 2:08And I think we do. I'm honest, I think we we, we
- 2:11do, we do that very much. I don't know if it's because our
- 2:13Shura takes over his life, because normally we mention
- 2:17Imam, Mr. Judge only when it comes to, for example, his
- 2:19journey towards sham. There's lots of things happen
- 2:22before sham and after sham. And I think we know, I think
- 2:26let's start here. The question is, for example, on
- 2:28the day of our show on the 10th of Muharram, there are those
- 2:31that claim for example. Imam Zain and Aberdeen did not
- 2:34stand with his father. He failed to join his father in
- 2:38jihad. There is that, you know,
- 2:40argument some people use. That's what actually happens.
- 2:43So Imam Zain, Aberdeen and Es Salaam was not ill when he came
- 2:47to Kadabala. When he arrived in Kadabala he
- 2:49fell ill and narrations in history say that he had a
- 2:52stomach bug to the point where he couldn't stand up.
- 2:56But sometimes we hear in lectures and we hear in Mosiba
- 2:59that the Imam was frail and in in it makes it sound like he
- 3:04stuffed it a lot, but like he's an old man and he's incapable
- 3:07and he was weak. All the but the reality is such
- 3:10where the Imam showed incredible physical strength and mental
- 3:14strength. The physical strength to firstly
- 3:17bear what he bore in the sense of being thirst, water deprived,
- 3:22being in the heat of Kadabala, being without access to
- 3:25facilities and and what he needs to recover.
- 3:28Clearly no access to doctors and medicine and all of that at the
- 3:31same time, the mental pressure, seeing his beloved father, his
- 3:34beloved family, his companions, all massacred in front of him,
- 3:37seeing his women folk, the children all completely harassed
- 3:41and abused in front of his own eyes.
- 3:43And on top of that being the only male to survive the
- 3:46onslaught of Kadabala. To continue his journey on foot,
- 3:51of course with the with the pressures that he faced.
- 3:53And we're going to talk about that I'm sure.
- 3:55And then obviously to go through what he went through to make
- 3:58sure Islam survived, to make sure Kadabala was not forgotten.
- 4:02And then of course to live for decades afterwards as well.
- 4:04So it just blows my mind because I feel like sometimes we we only
- 4:08talk about mom Sajad, he was ill and kind of blind.
- 4:11What could he do? This was Allah's will.
- 4:14You know, like Allah knew that there has to be a hudger on
- 4:18earth. There has to be a sign of a lot
- 4:20on earth. And when there's we know,
- 4:22obviously. And then on the day of Aushadah,
- 4:25he told one of the companions. Pass me my stick and my sword,
- 4:29I'm going to stand up. He stood up.
- 4:31Mom said, Mom said sit down. So there cannot be the earth
- 4:34cannot be. The earth would swallow itself
- 4:37if there was no hudja after me and you were to take your life.
- 4:41So we'll give you a life rather. Yeah, no, you mentioned a very
- 4:44nice point. You said his mental state and
- 4:47not to belittle his mental state, I'm sure he has the best
- 4:49of states of minds, the best. It's not easy to, as you said,
- 4:53you know, there's a state of thirst.
- 4:55There's, you know, seeing the enemy coming and taking away the
- 4:57family of Rasul, Allah, you know, ultimately killing them,
- 5:00giving them shahada. And then at the same time,
- 5:02there's women and children. It's not easy for anyone, let
- 5:05alone the son of Imam Hussein, to see his father in such a
- 5:08position and being so weak due to his illness.
- 5:11We're not talking about spiritual weakness, physical
- 5:14weakness, we're talking about not being able to stand up and
- 5:17join his father in jihad and that's not something easy for
- 5:20the Imam. But as you said, Allah is the
- 5:22best of planners and it's very true because if we actually look
- 5:25into this properly thinking now had Imam then in Aberdeen joined
- 5:31his father who alongside. Companions and his family in the
- 5:35way of loss of Panamata Allah on the 10th of Muharram on the day
- 5:38of Ashura. There will be no hunter today.
- 5:41So surely that there was a great plan a lot of the best of plans
- 5:44because Hadi Mam Hussein allowed to suck.
- 5:47Because I heard, I shall have read moms in Ambeddin didn't
- 5:50want to fight Mam Hussein told him.
- 5:52No, you cannot. You cannot leave the tent and go
- 5:56out because you need to remain alive and.
- 5:58And that's when I believe is he passed on the Imam at letting
- 6:01him know for example you know you are to continue this path
- 6:05and you mentioned that that that point where he said give me a
- 6:09stick and give me a sword, the stick for him for the strength
- 6:12to stand up and the sword for him to fight in the way of the
- 6:15last final. But ultimately, had the had it
- 6:19not been for that decision, Imam Hussein telling him no, you
- 6:22cannot come onto the battlefield, there will be no
- 6:24Imam and Barker, there will be no Imam Asada.
- 6:27There'll be no Imam Orova. There'll be no.
- 6:29So I've lost. It was a month.
- 6:30The line will end. So I lost upon what Allah he
- 6:33knew then and there that I believe, I personally believe
- 6:37that that sickness or that illness or some say it was an
- 6:40injury it was recovering from. I'm not entirely sure.
- 6:43It's something from my last plan.
- 6:46I'll say the Zenob save my right to LA Jamila maybe, maybe
- 6:49there's you know when the more you learn about Karbala, the
- 6:51more beauty you find in it. And then when you first hear
- 6:54that Hadi from the Salaam where she says I saw nothing but
- 6:57beauty originally, like what? What?
- 6:59How does that make sense? But the more you think about it
- 7:02and the year on, year on year we attempted jobs, we have stopped
- 7:04on STAT and Spanola, you've just like opened up a gateway for me
- 7:07to think of another perspective that maybe maybe that was
- 7:11something she saw. Maybe she saw the Ava's divine
- 7:13plan in allowing a Mama Saja to remain protected meant that the
- 7:18mission would continue until the end of time.
- 7:20Well, because had he been killed, yeah.
- 7:21Or had he been martyred, we wouldn't be here.
- 7:23We would have the Islam of Yazid, the Mars.
- 7:25Yes, we. Wouldn't have the Islam.
- 7:28We wouldn't have the when in the court of Yazid, when amongst the
- 7:31judge of course gave that adequate speech and we'll talk
- 7:33about what happened after our show.
- 7:34There's some really, really important things to talk about.
- 7:37But he says, if I'm not mistaken, we have been gifted 6
- 7:41and we have well we possess 6 qualities and we'll be gifted 7,
- 7:45seven. In terms of the the other bait
- 7:47of him as Saddam. And one of the which the 7th
- 7:50that he mentions is the Mehdi he talks about.
- 7:53He says we have Hassan and Hussein and Hamza and Hamad and
- 7:57Fatah and Ali and Mehdi. If I'm not mistaken, the seven
- 8:00that is so important that mom Sajad at that time 61AH
- 8:04mentioned the mom and Mehdi and here we are in the year 1444,
- 8:084-5 if I'm not mistaken 14451445.
- 8:12Yeah, New Year. Yeah, New Year.
- 8:14So because of that and him him prophesizing for telling that
- 8:18it's so important. I just want to bring our
- 8:20attention to to Yasin of course that everyone at home knows
- 8:23Yasin who is with us behind the scenes today.
- 8:25So I'm I. Think that's done?
- 8:27It's for the same. Child like mine.
- 8:30What are your thoughts on this? So basically what I think about
- 8:33is just that some people sometimes say that.
- 8:36You know Imam Zainab Aberdeen Alissam didn't achieve martyrdom
- 8:40on the day of Ashura. So maybe his rank or his
- 8:43importance drops that's why we don't remember him.
- 8:47But do you dare to say the same for like example say the Zainab
- 8:51or say the Rotaye or Sukkene or or Ramla or the wives of us of
- 8:56Imam Hussain Alissam because Imam and Mehdi Ajallas.
- 9:04After our our Sharat is Sham and then mom's in Aberdeen had his
- 9:09son. They asked him why do you cry
- 9:12what happened like is it because of our Sharat?
- 9:14He says sham and Sham and Sham that what happened in Sham, what
- 9:19happened in Syria on the way to Syria, I'll never forget that.
- 9:23That we remember the mosaic where blood was dropping down
- 9:28from his neck. His arms say that OK, having
- 9:31chains around her neck. Say the Zainab getting whipped
- 9:35her hijab to getting taken away from her, these things.
- 9:38This is simple, especially for imams in Aberdeen, being the
- 9:42man, the leader now of these women, of the, of these
- 9:46followers, of his family, having to live through this and and see
- 9:50it and knowing that he can't do anything about it.
- 9:52Yeah, yeah, and we bore you. Think about it.
- 9:54When we talk about say the Zainab some light are there and
- 9:57they when you said a Shama Shama sham, why was Sham so difficult?
- 10:01Obviously the journey from Kadabala after that and the
- 10:04mental state, the mental perseverance the mom had to have
- 10:07from there to then walk towards Sham and say the Zainab says if
- 10:11I'm not mistaken Sokal Hamedia if I'm not mistaken is is now in
- 10:15sham. And if for those who have been,
- 10:17who know obviously very tall buildings, say the Zainab says I
- 10:21saw them poor boiling water from the windows onto the face of my
- 10:25nephew and the mom said Jadala Salaam in that sok he saw who
- 10:31was it said I live inside a Saturday companion of Sola La
- 10:36And he saw him and he said come here, said he came.
- 10:40He said, yeah you have no sola what happened?
- 10:43You know what's what? He says go over there and get
- 10:45that cloth for me. He goes, he brings a cloth.
- 10:48He says I thought he's going to cover his body.
- 10:50He said no, I need this cloth because from Kadabala I've had
- 10:54this chain around my neck with spikes and I need to something.
- 10:59Between the chain and the neck, yeah, yeah.
- 11:03But after all of that, you think about when he went to the court
- 11:07of Yazid. Yazid is there until Ali, and
- 11:11he's playing with the head of the Holy Imam mum, Hussein, with
- 11:14a stick. Stick on the OK and then he
- 11:16starts mocking the imam. Imam Sajad and his Salaam stands
- 11:20up. At that point he tells say the
- 11:21Zeno. Take a take a sit down, sit
- 11:23down, I'm going to say something.
- 11:25He starts speaking. He says, I'm paraphrasing
- 11:28because the sermon is very long, and those who have read it or
- 11:31had it is. It's incredible.
- 11:33I am the son of the one who visited Sensitel Montaha.
- 11:36I'm the son of Russell, La La. I'm the son of Sedes in the
- 11:39side. I mean, I'm the son who is the
- 11:41annihilator of the idols. I am the son of Sedis Shabab.
- 11:44At the agenda. I am Zenon Aberdeen, the the son
- 11:47of Don who's slain on Karabala. And then what does he do?
- 11:51Yazid says, stop this man. I don't want to hear anymore.
- 11:55Start the avan and the mother Then starts Allah Akbar a shadow
- 11:59Allah in la Hai La La shadow Anna Mohammed Arun was so La La
- 12:03at that point what happens in moms?
- 12:04Sajad stands up. He says You're saying a shadow
- 12:07Anna Mohammed was so La La, He says whose grandfathers was so
- 12:10la, mine or yours? Because if you say he's yours
- 12:13you're a liar. But if you say he's mine, then
- 12:15why did you kill his family? And at that point there was pin
- 12:18drop silence. If he didn't do that then the
- 12:22people in Sham would be would not would not have had the
- 12:25knowledge. You know there's so many hadith
- 12:27and stories about people who would come that take say to the
- 12:30imam cursed beyond you you rebels you said you know who I
- 12:33am do you know which. And he started naming multiple
- 12:36eyes of the Quran. He said do you know who these
- 12:38refers about They say yeah Ala Mohammed.
- 12:40He says I'm. On we are Ala Mohammed if these
- 12:42if the imam didn't do that propagation, we wouldn't be
- 12:45where we are. Oh, and for the imam to give
- 12:47that sermon, by the way, if I, if I remember it well, was that.
- 12:52You know, as they approach the the court of Yazid, you know,
- 12:57people were not questioning who are these people?
- 12:58And then there was a thing where people saying these are rebels
- 13:01who you know, stood against the kalaf of Yazid, the bin Malia
- 13:06and then well and then and then the imam will give the examples
- 13:09that you gave. For example, have you heard of
- 13:10this verse? Have you heard of that verse?
- 13:12And he will say these verses refer to us and people were
- 13:14shocked. Is it true?
- 13:15Yazid like these are the family of Russo La La.
- 13:17You've done that. You've done so and so, so, Yazid
- 13:20at that point. It was like, you know, what
- 13:22tables are turning it at all. That's let's bring someone to
- 13:27speak good of me and my father Malia.
- 13:29So I I think very famously they made like a makeshift pulpit
- 13:33over there. And you called one of his, one
- 13:35of his men to come and speak good of Yazid and good of Malia
- 13:39and good of the generation of Abu Sofian and which they done
- 13:42so. And then that's when Imam was
- 13:44in. I mean you stood up myself.
- 13:45Wow. Be open upon you.
- 13:47You know, if you allow me to talk, let me say something.
- 13:50And Yazida was like, no way. And then the people there was
- 13:53like, you know, if, if, if you are saying no, why you scared?
- 13:58Let let the man talk. So eventually, as he had to, you
- 14:01know, agree to this and let the man talk.
- 14:03And that's when he went on and gave some.
- 14:05And I paraphrase, you paraphrase a bit and I've got some of it
- 14:08here if I can share it as well. You know where the amount goes
- 14:10to the smell. Ahmad Raheem.
- 14:12Praise be to Allah who has no beginning, and the everlasting
- 14:15who has no end. Paraphrasing again.
- 14:17Continues on to say, oh people, we have been bestowed 6
- 14:21qualities and seven merits by a loss upon of a talent,
- 14:24knowledge, forbearance, eloquence, valor, etcetera.
- 14:27Then he goes to say those who know me know me, and those who
- 14:31don't know me get to know me through my ancestry.
- 14:34I. I am the son of Mecca and Mina.
- 14:36I am the son of Zem, Zem and Safar.
- 14:38I am the son of the one who was bestowed revelation by Allah.
- 14:41I am the son of Muhammad and Mustafa.
- 14:42I am the son of the person who fought against enemies with two
- 14:45swords. I am the son of Ali and Mortada
- 14:48approved one. I am the son of Fatima to Zahra.
- 14:50I am the son of Hussein, the one killed in Karbala.
- 14:53And it was at that point, as you mentioned where you said you
- 14:56know, stop, stop the sermon, Let's end it.
- 14:58Let's do that. Done.
- 14:59It's time for Salah. And the beautiful thing is.
- 15:02She's going to re mention what you said.
- 15:03You know when the weather was like Allahu Akbar their mom
- 15:07said, you know, surely got this great a shadow.
- 15:10Allah. Allah, like I been there is no
- 15:13witness but God, no problem, a shadow, no Mohammed, a soul.
- 15:18Allah. And that's that's exactly the
- 15:20point when he said Mohammed a soul.
- 15:22Allah, is he my grandfather or is he your grandfather.
- 15:25And that's, they say, where Yazid eventually had to like,
- 15:27for example. You know not to stop the
- 15:30commotion and stop the uprising that's happening in people's
- 15:33minds, not physical uprising where you know, he had to like
- 15:36release the imam and release the those who bring captive best.
- 15:40It's a very, very, you know, very difficult time for the
- 15:43imam. Very, very difficult.
- 15:45Because before even reaching there, some question was before,
- 15:48before the imam, you're reaching to Sham he buried.
- 15:51Yeah, yeah. Imam Hussein.
- 15:53He buried the companions of Imam Hussein.
- 15:55He buried the children, his own brothers, Ali Akbar, Ali Aslam.
- 15:59He saw so much when they so much.
- 16:01You know the the, the the story is such where when Banu I said
- 16:07tribe in Kadabala, it was said that their women were
- 16:11embarrassed that the men of their tribe didn't join Imam
- 16:14Hussein. So after Kadabala happened,
- 16:16after the battle happened, they told their men, yeah, they said
- 16:20if you're not going to fight with your mom, at least go and
- 16:22bury them. Yeah, go and bury the shahada.
- 16:24So OK, fine, they go out and in. In the narrations it says that
- 16:28they had no idea when to begin. How do we match this head?
- 16:31With which body? And at that point they said we
- 16:34saw a man walking in the distance wearing black.
- 16:37He came closer. They said who he uses Ahmed
- 16:38Lievnan Hussein and his Salan. And he says, why are you here?
- 16:43He goes, I'm here. The imam said to them, why are
- 16:45you here? They said, oh, we just want to
- 16:46see what's happening. So, no, tell me the truth.
- 16:48So we're here to bury the Shahada of Karbala.
- 16:51He said, let me do, let me do what I need to do, he.
- 16:54And he said, he goes, I'm going to give you guys three tasks.
- 16:56Bury 3 graves, one for certain members of the family, one for
- 17:01the companions and one for happy being in the bar.
- 17:04Yeah. And then of course, the Imam
- 17:07buried Imam Hussein, Alain, Saddam and then it continues on
- 17:11about has a bus. He goes to the floor.
- 17:13He goes to the floor. Yeah.
- 17:14And he takes a prey on the mat. Yeah.
- 17:16And we're on the same page, yeah.
- 17:17Yeah, yeah. And what what happens he?
- 17:19He tries to pick up was left of about for the LA bus and now
- 17:23that's imagine picking up about for the LA bus in your prey mat.
- 17:27And it says when he picked up the left side, the right would
- 17:31fall down and he picked up the right side, the left would fall
- 17:33down. It's a very difficult, you know,
- 17:35when we talk about modern day mental health, OK, I know we're
- 17:38slightly veering off, but I think it's really important.
- 17:40Yeah, when we talk about modern day mental health, we now live
- 17:45in a a system western like post colonial system which is very
- 17:51reliant on mainstream healthcare and mainstream methods of
- 17:56resolving mental health challenges.
- 17:59The Imam Alekh Salaam challenged his own mental health by vicar
- 18:05of Alas Panatana remembrance of Allah and at the same time he
- 18:08mourned how many times we read about the Imam bursting into
- 18:12tears and the imam's eyes were sore listed listed.
- 18:17This is because the Imam was hurt like it's normal you know
- 18:20and like today. I'm not saying that modern day
- 18:23techniques don't work. I'm saying that remembering
- 18:26Allah and at the same time accepting your emotional
- 18:29vulnerabilities is OK. It's it's allowed.
- 18:32As a man we're talking about men.
- 18:34Why are we bottling things up? You're allowed to mourn your
- 18:36situation, you're allowed to grief your situation, but you
- 18:39have to remember that everything is is the will of Allah and turn
- 18:42back to Allah. Oh, I think sadly when it comes
- 18:44to imams in Aberdeen al his Salaam, I think we keep him at a
- 18:47place where he's just surrounds Karbala.
- 18:51There's nothing else to it. And even when we I, I, I always
- 18:56hear from the Pulpus whenever we refer to the Imam.
- 18:59He's always being referred to as someone who was always crying.
- 19:01Someone was always mourning. Yeah, and there's nothing wrong
- 19:04with that, by the way. There was more to, as you
- 19:07mentioned, the decrola. And you know, Imam de Namadine
- 19:10is very famously known for, for example, Makaro Malak.
- 19:13He's very famously known for Saipa Sajadia.
- 19:16Very famously known for the truth of Rosales and her whole
- 19:19treatise of rights, all of these things.
- 19:21So just to add on to your point, it's that mom Zena Aberdeen
- 19:25Salman Lade was a was very young in Karbala was 2324.
- 19:30And his imamma carried on for 34 to 35 years.
- 19:34Yeah, his martyrdom was achieved at the age of 57.
- 19:37So do we ever think same age as the martyr?
- 19:40Said someone like they. So do we ever think what did he
- 19:42do for 34 years exactly? Does anyone say what happened
- 19:45after Ashrat? We sort of neglected.
- 19:47Because for 34 years, I'll tell you, he didn't just cry in his
- 19:50house. He didn't.
- 19:52You know this. He didn't just sorry.
- 19:54He didn't just sit at home remembering what happened to his
- 19:57father and family. Or he didn't just give us a book
- 20:01with Saifa Senjadia and that's it.
- 20:02I thought. It's just a die about.
- 20:03That he really revived the dying Islam as he bring he bring it
- 20:07back Imam. Imam's in Aberdeen was given the
- 20:09task that now that Islam is saved, Imam Hussain saved the
- 20:13message it hasn't died. You now need to revive it in the
- 20:17people's hearts to remind them what it is.
- 20:19Imam had three major challenges post Karbala OK.
- 20:23The first was to proclaim his imamma publicly.
- 20:27Because if imagine in that and Islam was in the lowest of the
- 20:30low like the pits of low, you have animals who claim that they
- 20:34are the heads of the religion. Okay at that point for him to
- 20:38come out and say no no I'm Hussein died I'm the Imam.
- 20:40No the Imam had to go about it in a smart way.
- 20:44The second challenge the Imam had.
- 20:46In books it says books of history.
- 20:47It says that it's it's like when you break it as a beer and you
- 20:51is scattered over the floor, the beads.
- 20:53The imam had to bring the community back together to Weld
- 20:55them back together like you're fixing a broken taspi.
- 20:58The third thing the imam had to do is he had to expound the
- 21:01knowledge of the religion far and wide huck to the point where
- 21:05people he laid the foundation. We talk about Mambaka alum for
- 21:09example, Mam Jafar Sadik. We talked about Hammam Sadik had
- 21:12100,000 plus students. That didn't just happen
- 21:14overnight. And it 50 years, right.
- 21:19So what happened in that period? Imam Sajad was the pinnacle of
- 21:25propagation. Tabligh.
- 21:27Imam Sajad laid the founder, you know they say Mam Sajad went HUD
- 21:3120 times by foot to Mecca like he was back and forth.
- 21:36He was continuously traveling. He was continuously teaching.
- 21:39He was spreading every chance he got.
- 21:41He would tell people this is what I saw in the younger years
- 21:44of my life. This is what we need to do in
- 21:46the future. And mind you, he done all of
- 21:48this whilst being surveillanced and being spied on by Yazid's
- 21:53people. And then it's so successful you
- 21:55get away with it, yeah. It's it's from what I know,
- 21:58Sahifa, said Jadir. It's not a book of daha.
- 22:01It was. Intended to be there.
- 22:03Yeah, it wasn't intended to be. Listen, you want dahas?
- 22:06Here's Dahas from Sahif is no. Sahif said Jadir was a way that
- 22:10Imam Zaha Abidi would teach his students about Islam.
- 22:13For example, Truto, Esson or. Truto Haid from Bai.
- 22:20Talking to them by saying this is a dot.
- 22:22Let's recite it together. Let's memorize it together.
- 22:25And through these as you would mention stuff like my father, My
- 22:29father, indeed my father was killed, thirsty indeed.
- 22:32My Imam Ali is the successor, the lion of Allah.
- 22:36Stuff like that. The brother of your of Rasoul
- 22:38Allah. And by dropping what we call
- 22:41like this, like these bars, these hints, yeah, is by that
- 22:45instilling that little part in people's hearts from their seed
- 22:49then? Is planted From there the tree
- 22:52is starting to grow and that is what the other imams had to do.
- 22:57It wasn't just that imams saying that Aberdeen's job was this in
- 23:01teach them Islam right now all of it.
- 23:03No, bit by bit. Then Imam Baker Al Islam comes
- 23:07and says this is what my father taught you.
- 23:10Let's be expand now let's bring in philosophy, science.
- 23:13Let me show you what I know. And from then Imam Jack Fasalak
- 23:17took over and said from what my father?
- 23:20The father taught me, let me show you this.
- 23:22And then the Jafaria school, that university that was born,
- 23:27came into life. But as Ahmed said, that didn't
- 23:29happen overnight. It took calculations.
- 23:31It took planning, It took the wisdom of a loss of power,
- 23:34Tyler, and it took the actions of the Imams and that lives
- 23:38until today. That's the panel of the they say
- 23:41we are the school of the Helen Bates Hamda.
- 23:43That's something we should be proud of.
- 23:44And the Imams, you know, they did a very good job at this for
- 23:47us to reach us, like even the the, the dwas, the supplications
- 23:50of imams in Aberdeen. I think it's just over 51 Dwas
- 23:53that we have And it covers almost like everything we ever
- 23:56want to pray for, whether we anything we want to supplicate
- 23:58about And why like from the works of the imam is is treated
- 24:02of rights. Yeah, I really love it.
- 24:04And if someone has not read this, please go.
- 24:06Go online. Pdf's are available online.
- 24:09Just such treatise of rights Mom's in our beninima Mr. Judd,
- 24:12and just read them and learn the rights of your mother.
- 24:15Learn the rights of your father, the rights of your you know,
- 24:18your tongue, your eyes, everything.
- 24:20The The rights of your friend, the rights of your neighbor, the
- 24:23rights of your teacher, the rights of everything.
- 24:24And again, those are just foundations.
- 24:26Yeah, so you can tell that he's not.
- 24:29His plan isn't Let me teach them Islam right now.
- 24:32From page one to page 100. I'm just going to tell them the
- 24:36bits that they for them to stop. Imagine because.
- 24:39Everyone knows Salah. It's been about 50 years now.
- 24:43Everyone should know Salah. Yeah, but go to Hajj.
- 24:45The problem was at the time that Salah was known, but the
- 24:48sanctity of Salah was. Exactly.
- 24:50So that's why that's how he revives.
- 24:52The sanctity of religion was violated in.
- 24:55So that that's the imam's. Job at a point where where on
- 24:59the day of Ashurai you have two different jamaats happening.
- 25:03And Imam and Hussein and a Saddam is being shot with Arabs,
- 25:05like we keep mentioning in every single podcast we've done so
- 25:07far. The sanctity of Sala was
- 25:10violated. The sanctity of Islam at its
- 25:12core was violated, even the Ivan at the core of.
- 25:16Hypocrite. All of them.
- 25:20All of them burn in hell. And there's a reason why.
- 25:22It's because these guys, they they claim that we are the
- 25:25owners of this religion. Bro, you are nothing.
- 25:28We're talking about the the grandson of Solalah Hammad.
- 25:31Salalah, you know he's had the audacity to say to the to the to
- 25:35the people I has called when, you know when people were
- 25:37hearing the sermon and stuff. He was like no Muhammad came up
- 25:40with a made man, made religion like along those lines.
- 25:43And he claims to be what the representative the Caliph of
- 25:47Rasula La Sala. Of his father has as him, while
- 25:50we have called himself a middleman anyway.
- 25:52But it's interesting talking about about about Ma Mr. Judge,
- 25:55because I know we want to move on.
- 25:58There's a one or two things which I think was we need to
- 26:00take into account. There's lessons that from the
- 26:03Imam's life but not putting aside Karbala.
- 26:05But in spite of Karbala, the Imam pushed forward and was
- 26:09known as the adornment of worship is, said Al Abadine.
- 26:13Aleh Saddam because Imam Al Hussein was a beautiful name.
- 26:16He was not as beautiful as I love it.
- 26:18It's a beautiful name. And you know, he was known, Imam
- 26:21Baker al Islam said. And it's metaphorical, I
- 26:24presume, he said. I used to see my father do 1000.
- 26:28Records of prey in the day and 1000 in the night.
- 26:31He said he would he was so focused that he would sway in
- 26:35the wind like the leaf on the side of a corn, a corn plant, do
- 26:41you know what I mean? And another hadith, for example,
- 26:44from Abu Hamza formali, he says. I once saw the imam praying and
- 26:52Imam was wearing an ABBA. He was wearing a cloak.
- 26:55The cloak slipped off him. Off his shoulder after the solar
- 27:00I sent him. Yeah, Mom, why didn't you put
- 27:01that cloak back? And you like, fix it up?
- 27:03It must be uncomfortable something.
- 27:05Mom says well unto you. Do you not know who I'm standing
- 27:08in front of? So in one hadith we're talking
- 27:11about the quantity of prayer and in one hadith we're talking
- 27:13about the quality of prayer we have to say then, oh, you know,
- 27:17people say nowadays I'm so busy. I run a business, I have a
- 27:21family. I have social commits.
- 27:22I have Majalis to go to. I can't focus on my solar.
- 27:26If anyone has a right to mourn over Imam Sajad and Es Salaam,
- 27:30he was talk about mentalists. Imam Sajad was there.
- 27:33He was in Carnibala. Does he make time for God?
- 27:35Yes. We talk about business.
- 27:37Imam Sajad owned multiple businesses.
- 27:39He was a date farmer. He used to take his wealth, buy
- 27:43slaves, train them up, free them and then reinvest the money back
- 27:47into the community. Used to use the money to go for
- 27:50Hajj. Used to send other people to
- 27:51Hajj. Used to use it for proper great
- 27:53propagation. He of course invested money to
- 27:55the the betterment of the she she has of the time and we we
- 28:00have the audacity to say no we're busy.
- 28:02We're busy bro. What are you talking about 5
- 28:05minutes a day boho I saw like the time like I know Muhammad
- 28:09Ali and Juma and I's mention this.
- 28:10God bless him. He said that his favorite Salah
- 28:13of the day is in when he's when he's at work.
- 28:17And I kind of get that, he said. Because in that moment in the
- 28:20day, like I kind of get a break from reality.
- 28:22I can do my thing in my own space, yeah.
- 28:25Yeah. And.
- 28:25I kind of feel the same way as well, like you're in your zone,
- 28:28do you know what I mean? But sometimes we we don't.
- 28:31We we do not respect what the Imam left behind, the pearls of
- 28:36wisdom, lessons to learn from boy, I, I, I even remember
- 28:40something now. I heard of a lecture recently,
- 28:42in fact. So I've read this.
- 28:45I've heard this from a lecture from the pulpit and the imam
- 28:49like they came a time where for example, there was a lot, lots
- 28:53of slavery happening. So the Imam will actually go and
- 28:55purchase these slaves and make them, you know, come towards his
- 28:59home and he will come and look after them.
- 29:02And I think it's a beautiful story.
- 29:03I'll share. And it goes along the lines of,
- 29:06so the Imam purchased, I think it was 4/4 servants and he made
- 29:12them come to his house. But when he was in his house, it
- 29:14went bro, they were not really serving the Imam.
- 29:16It's not like I'm higher than you and you're lower than me.
- 29:19It wasn't. None of that was happening.
- 29:20You know, let's just make that claim because people
- 29:22misunderstand what servants mean in the in the House of the Imam.
- 29:26But at the same time they were students of his.
- 29:28So as much as they were working in his house, you know, he would
- 29:31teach them Islam and he will, they would teach them
- 29:34supplications how to to do on things like that.
- 29:36There was even a time where you know people there was a drought
- 29:40and people wanted rain. The imam didn't pray for rain
- 29:44himself. He instructed his servants.
- 29:46He goes, I told you how to do supplication on the for rain and
- 29:49they went out and they prayed for rain and it start raining
- 29:52and people thought, you know what's going on.
- 29:54And then there was other servants who now wanted to be
- 29:56aware in this house. They've heard so much about
- 29:59imams in Aberdeen that every servants at that time wanted to
- 30:04be in the House of Mama, said Jad.
- 30:06So your Mama said Jad, you know, was in the marketplace and he
- 30:08came across another servant. He bought this man.
- 30:13He paid for him. He freed the slave.
- 30:14He bring him to his house. Now he's a servant at the Iman's
- 30:16house. And you know, the imam calls out
- 30:20the the name of his servant. So I forgot the name of the
- 30:23servant. And then there's no response.
- 30:26The imam calls out the name of the servant for the second time.
- 30:29For the second time, again there's no response.
- 30:32The imam calls out for the third time.
- 30:35He says the servant's name, you know, come here or servant of
- 30:39Allah. The guy doesn't respond.
- 30:41The 4th time the servant came rushing to the imam.
- 30:44Your mom goes, what's going on? You know, I called you four
- 30:46Times Now and it's on the 4th time you've shown up.
- 30:49What's happening? He goes, oh, your mom, you know,
- 30:51I was just testing your mercy. They said there's no one as
- 30:53masterful as you. Because in my old, in their old
- 30:56house where I was, if I was not to come the first time, as soon
- 31:00as that my, my, my, my master called me, I would have been,
- 31:03you know, tortured, reprimanded, you know, kicked out all of
- 31:08this. But I was just testing the
- 31:10sweetness of your mercy, that even after four times, you've
- 31:14got no issue with me. And I said Pan a lot.
- 31:16You know, the way he treated people, it's just beyond, you
- 31:20know, beyond belief. He had an immense stuck like you
- 31:23know and mom has say no less I'm compares him to mom so his son.
- 31:28To Nabi Iprahim. You know this story?
- 31:31Yes, yes, yes and. When he was young and Imam was
- 31:33unwell and he said I relying on law and their mom and mom,
- 31:37Hussain said. You remind me of Nabi Ibrahim
- 31:39because when the the fire was was when you nobody was on fire.
- 31:43He said I relying on law and we think about the Takua of the
- 31:46imam in different stages from a young age.
- 31:49You know the imam was raised as an orphan.
- 31:52You know his mother died that when?
- 31:53When he was a few days old and. Shuttle Ban was was we know and
- 31:59until the last days of the Imam she was Iranian by the way she
- 32:02was she was Persian. She was the first I think non
- 32:06Arab to marry an imam by the way.
- 32:08So his mother was the first non Arab to marry.
- 32:10A moment for saying if I'm not mistaken.
- 32:12Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah. So, you know, there's a lot to
- 32:15take forward. And of course, when we talk
- 32:17about, you know, the knowledge of the Imam was so important,
- 32:20the Quran says and sort of Fatah, I'm not mistaken by 28.
- 32:24That the most fearful of Allah's servants are the ones who are
- 32:28most learned. So then acquiring knowledge is
- 32:31very important. Acquiring knowledge of the Ahlud
- 32:33Beit and him Aslam we do that Muharram you know we got Majalis
- 32:37like for like we talk about all the time Hadith ahlain the holy
- 32:41prophecy. I leave behind the Quran and the
- 32:43Ahlud Beit. Holding them onto them do not go
- 32:45straight. OK, so we talk about the Ahlud
- 32:47Beit, but we also need to talk about the whole about.
- 32:51I guarantee you that the other baked the name of life.
- 32:54I live their lives. They stayed by the Quran, you
- 32:58know and in this day and age now said we're seeing violation of
- 33:03the Quran you know in the news. Of course we knew a few weeks
- 33:06ago about the the burning of the Holy Quran in Sweden and you
- 33:10sent me a video today which really messed with my head about
- 33:13people, a lady who was shredding the shredding.
- 33:16Pieces of the pages of the kind into small pieces.
- 33:19This one's in Denmark, but she was wearing woman life freedom,
- 33:24shredding the colon. Completely pathetic.
- 33:27Ruined my day was really, really messed up.
- 33:30Like where do we like? Because they're gonna be people
- 33:34at home who are like you know what do we?
- 33:38Firstly people are gonna say why should we care?
- 33:39It's not happening here in the UK or wherever you're listening
- 33:42from. Secondly what do we do?
- 33:45Like people gonna, So what or what can we do?
- 33:47Is nothing we can do. People gonna be like that all
- 33:49the time. You know, I'm not saying Muslims
- 33:52are to blame for this, by the way.
- 33:54But I think if the majority of Muslims are not holding onto the
- 33:56takka lane it's going to lead to things like this.
- 33:59Because the persona loss. Alala haliwa I sent him saying,
- 34:01you know, hold on to the Quran. I'm my head in dates and if you
- 34:04were to hold on to both of them, you will never go astray.
- 34:07Why would someone like Selwan, you know, very famously in
- 34:11Sweden, you know, send shockwaves around the Muslim
- 34:13Umba. The entire world has been, you
- 34:15know, traumatized I can say by the scenes they saw when he
- 34:19burned the Quran. Why would they reach such such a
- 34:21stage? Because if we be honest, to sell
- 34:23one guy apparently was a Muslim, ex Muslim, Iraqi, you know as as
- 34:28as crazy as no, no way, no, he can be anyway.
- 34:32He can be Karbalay, but no Quran.
- 34:33Go to hell. There's no way we claim anyone
- 34:37like that to be from from the, from the home of Mohammed Wali
- 34:40Mohammed. But ultimately, I think it's our
- 34:41fault as Muslims because if we want to say, you know, we
- 34:45believe in the Takka Lane and we want to hold on to the Takka
- 34:47Lane, we are not abiding by the Takka Lane.
- 34:50We are abiding only possibly by the early dates or possibly only
- 34:53by the Quran. And this, this goes to every
- 34:56sect in Islam by the way they choose even the Quran or for
- 34:58example, the Shia, she's only the Helen weights.
- 35:00Yes, we need to hold on to both. And the most important thing
- 35:03here is that we have to pass on the meaning of Quran to our
- 35:07children. And this is so important.
- 35:09I mean, you know, kids, if you don't teach them, you know, the
- 35:13love of Quran. And if you don't teach them, you
- 35:15know the respect the Quran deserves from a very young age.
- 35:19Or they can go up and become the new cell one.
- 35:22Well, this guy's name is this is Sal one someone.
- 35:24Someone, yeah, it's Sal one. We can all be Sal one one day.
- 35:28Because if we don't teach our our our children, our kids, you
- 35:32know what it means to love and respect and Revere and honor the
- 35:35Quran the way it's supposed to be, We can all become the new
- 35:39Sal one. And it's very important that we
- 35:41don't become Sal one maybe in the next 10 years or 15 years
- 35:44because it can happen to our children.
- 35:45Because we live here. And I say this.
- 35:47Why? Because if we live here in the
- 35:48West and we don't give Quran the respect it deserves and respect
- 35:52it requires of us as Muslims, bro, we're going to go in a
- 35:57completely different direction. Because we have the West, who is
- 36:01what, attacking anything with Islamic value.
- 36:04We have the West who supports and stands behind anyone who
- 36:08goes against Islam. And for example, this whole
- 36:10cell, one thing in Sweden who gave him permission to ban the
- 36:13Quran? The Swedish courts.
- 36:15Yeah, and if, God forbid, if you if you sorry, bro.
- 36:19That they they are freedom of expression.
- 36:21But what about freedom of religious belief?
- 36:23If I want to believe in the Quran, if I want to believe in
- 36:25Islam, does that mean that I have no right for protection if
- 36:30someone violates my belief in religion?
- 36:33You know what I'm saying? The problem is not just that.
- 36:34The problem is the double standards that the West, yes.
- 36:36Because I, I, you burn any other flag or any other book, believe
- 36:39me, I read, you know, you know, you know, was this like the
- 36:42first time permission for Quran burning was given in Sweden?
- 36:44Apparently it wasn't, by the way.
- 36:46It just wasn't as big because this one did in front of a
- 36:48mosque and there was press and people were already aware of it
- 36:51and there was like 1 week's notice.
- 36:54And because it involved the courts and the courts gave him
- 36:55police protection. Hence why it became so big.
- 36:58Otherwise, there's been here and there, but there's other people,
- 37:00for example, applying to burn the Torah.
- 37:03Other people apply, you know, apply to the courts to burn, for
- 37:06example, the rainbow flags and stuff like that.
- 37:09They disagree. The end of the day, religious
- 37:11texts, especially Abrahamic monotheistic religious texts,
- 37:15are sacred to people. Why?
- 37:18Why insult people? Let me say something.
- 37:20You said, well if someone right now burns, the Bible does not,
- 37:23does not not hurt us as Muslims of.
- 37:25Course we may reject and we may say it's been tampered with and
- 37:28interfere, but you you, you hurt because you know that ultimately
- 37:32that. Maybe it's words in there, which
- 37:33is the word of Allah and beyond that as well.
- 37:35These are people that they, I think it's up.
- 37:37You know what I mean? So people who are believers,
- 37:40believers in the one true Lord and that Lord being our last
- 37:42panel to Allah, you have to defend them.
- 37:44They're brothers in humanity, equals in humanity.
- 37:47You know, at the end of the day, yeah, when we talk about the
- 37:49burning of the Quran, the violation of the Quran, there's
- 37:53been times in the past, even in early Islamic history, where the
- 37:56Quran was violated when Sephine. There are people who put Qurans
- 38:01on the Spears. Malia put the army of Malia when
- 38:06they put Qurans on a spear. You had Huck versus bottle.
- 38:10Yup, Halal versus Haram. Today when we see people burning
- 38:15the Quran, we are reliving. What Imam Alia Layslam, when he
- 38:19fought against the army of Maria, what what he had to go
- 38:22through or what are we going to do?
- 38:24Are we going to hold on to the QAN or are we going to
- 38:26metaphorically join the army of Maria in that sense and not say
- 38:31anything because there were those in the army of Maria who
- 38:33weren't holding Spears but who weren't condemning.
- 38:36How many Shia organizations are doing a lot about this?
- 38:39How many people are posting about this on their personal
- 38:41pages? Even there's a jihad enough.
- 38:44So we have to do in this situation, and that is to be the
- 38:46bigger man. And to say something, whether
- 38:50it's signing a petition, whether it's writing to your member of
- 38:53Parliament, whether it's even in a conversation with your work
- 38:55colleagues. I had a conversation with a with
- 38:57a colleague of mine at work and we're talking about this.
- 39:00And I told him, I said This is why I think it's wrong, This is
- 39:02why I think it's it's it's divisive for society, you know.
- 39:06But if if we don't have these conversations, even on a very
- 39:09small grassroots level, the community, the Muslim community,
- 39:13will not know how to respond when when more grave things
- 39:17happen. When this happens at our
- 39:19doorsteps, we won't know how to respond.
- 39:21You know you just mentioned you know the army of Maui upon the
- 39:24Quran on space and my head, you know Speaking of burning on the
- 39:28Quran, my brain darts went possible with our Shura by I
- 39:32think 2-3 years where Yazid burn the cover.
- 39:36Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, bro, it's crazy.
- 39:41Yeah, you're right. Let me get you crazy.
- 39:39I don't know. Mine just went completely
- 39:41somewhere else. Yeah, best, best, honestly.
- 39:43Like if if we don't you know stand up for the Quran and if we
- 39:47don't risk and I think, I think we do stand up for the but
- 39:49things we're not doing enough. No say The thing is we do it.
- 39:51We do. Sorry about that.
- 39:53We do with our tongues, yeah. Well, we're not doing something.
- 39:56With our hearts and with our hands.
- 39:58Do you know what I'm saying? There's How do you for the
- 40:01prophet about, about, I don't know.
- 40:03I don't want to think. But it's like, if you can't, if
- 40:05you can't verbally state something, do it with your
- 40:10hands. Do you know what I'm saying?
- 40:12And I know there's a full head eat and I don't want to quote it
- 40:14but something. I recognize that say something.
- 40:16If you can't say something do something.
- 40:18Do you know what I mean? Like we have to do something.
- 40:21Like there's, you know, it starts from like you said it
- 40:24comes from fundamental what are you doing at home?
- 40:27Love for the Do you? Know what I really love about
- 40:30the Oshora procession here in London this year is that I don't
- 40:33know if you know people are listening from London attended
- 40:36or for those that don't know this year, the London Oshora
- 40:39position. I think like made it that I can
- 40:44call an obligation where they ensured they gave a copy of the
- 40:48Quran of his cover to everyone who attended the Ashra
- 40:52possession and people were either wearing it around the
- 40:55next or holding it as they would.
- 40:57And what law it just like it made you feel like you know we
- 41:00are the party of God you know we are with the law we we are with
- 41:03the Quran. That debate on the Quran
- 41:04ultimately and they remind and it's very beautiful because
- 41:07people number one saw. People holding up the Quran, the
- 41:10book of God, and that we stand against the burning of the
- 41:14Quran. But also it took me a few years
- 41:16back. I saw, I saw when.
- 41:17ISIS came. Yeah, sorry, Sorry.
- 41:19I know you want to say a point where we made a point here in
- 41:23London on the day of our shore, our honest possession.
- 41:27That Imam Hussein stands against the likes of ISIS?
- 41:30Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 41:32And I saw so much beauty. And it was, it was because even
- 41:34Western Western media were like, huh, there's actual Muslims
- 41:38standing against ISIS. There was a shock to them.
- 41:40It was a shock because they had a lot of people that ladies
- 41:43wearing black cloaks and men wearing black dish dashes, all
- 41:47of that beards and all of that. And we came out, we said no,
- 41:49we're anti ISIS. And it was a shock to Western
- 41:52media. You know, I saw a tweet on on
- 41:54online, I'm not going to say X because I stick with Twitter,
- 41:57but I saw a tweet from some some lady non-muslim who posted a
- 42:02picture of that with English translation very recently.
- 42:05It might be procession or somewhere else.
- 42:07And she just said I got handed this today, I'm going to give it
- 42:10a go. Just tweeted that thousands and
- 42:14thousands of people replied supporting her saying good luck
- 42:19sister, good luck on your journey, my love, reward you, my
- 42:21love, bless you, guide you, you know that is beautiful to see.
- 42:24Firstly because people encouraged that journey and then
- 42:28I followed her journey on on thing because she started
- 42:31tweeting day by day by day what she's picking up, what she
- 42:34likes, what she's learning and this is someone who last week
- 42:37didn't know about. Now she's reading through it.
- 42:40How many of us can say we've done that?
- 42:42How many of us can say we've picked up the copy of the the
- 42:44translation on the car in English, we flick through it and
- 42:48we've obviously with the crime you have to give it sacredness.
- 42:51Of course you have to read it in the right environment.
- 42:52You have to do, although you have to respect.
- 42:54What you're holding in a state of impurity, exactly.
- 42:57But you have to be conscious that you are reading the word of
- 43:00Allah, the stories, the lessons, the calm, the everything you're
- 43:04reading. These are holy and and very
- 43:07important text. We shouldn't let go of it,
- 43:08basically. Well, you know, the Quran, they
- 43:10say, is the most read book, the most memorized book, the most
- 43:13printed book, the most respected book, the most revered book.
- 43:17And it's a book that doesn't contradict itself.
- 43:19And it's a book where people can't say it's not the divine
- 43:22words of a lot. Spano, what's Allah?
- 43:24And I think the beauty in this is that even nowadays where the
- 43:27West is against Islam or Quran or whether the Quran teaches is
- 43:32that now you know, people are proving that.
- 43:35Quran does not contradict science in so much ways.
- 43:38Even for we have the examples of for example the universe
- 43:41expanding. Who would have known or solo
- 43:43Mohammed 1400 years ago I was going to say the universe is
- 43:45expanding. Only science knew about this
- 43:48recently. Or for example, the example of
- 43:50the two seas mixing. Who would have known this?
- 43:52Who? Was sailing 1400 years ago
- 43:54somewhere in the ocean. Who would have known this?
- 43:56That's why they used to say. For example, at his time,
- 43:58Mohammed was the magician. Now we've reached a point where
- 44:01we can't blame magic. Bro, This is reality.
- 44:03This is the divine words of Allah.
- 44:05And the truth is with the Quran, bro, you open the Quran, There
- 44:09is nothing that contradicts anything that says and and and
- 44:13you know the West. I don't know if you've heard the
- 44:16term Sharia law before. Yes.
- 44:20You know, whenever I hear of Sharia Allo, I'll always
- 44:22remember like Fox News or Donald Trump or like, especially
- 44:26American TV. Yeah, yeah, like they have
- 44:27something against Sharia Allo. And then even Muslims are scared
- 44:31of Sharia Allo, by the way, because they think Sharia Allo
- 44:33means, Oh my God, I need to like where I buy.
- 44:36Yeah, or my hands are going to get chopped off or things like
- 44:38that. But reality is, bro, Sharia Allo
- 44:40is just halam and Haram. Have a loss of fun with that.
- 44:43And you know. If the women to be living by
- 44:46Sharia law, day-to-day praying five times a day, not eating
- 44:49halam, not drinking alcohol, but that is the law of Sharia.
- 44:52You know why the way the West makes you fear Sharia law?
- 44:57Yeah, ultimately it's because for example, if we take our
- 45:00Sharia from the Quran, the Quran tells you Baba don't gamble.
- 45:03The Quran tells you don't get intoxicated.
- 45:05The Quran tells you for example, you know, you know don't do
- 45:09something that's not lawful for you.
- 45:10You know, don't go towards Haram.
- 45:12You know, lower your gate. Everything that's good for
- 45:14society itself in your soul. Everything that makes you a good
- 45:16human being and it makes a society you know wholesome with
- 45:20meaning. They're against a Subhanana law.
- 45:23You know the values of the Quran is oppression and the values of
- 45:28godless society, of freedom. It's crazy, crazy world.
- 45:32And I think it requires a discussion on this, a separate
- 45:34discussion. Yeah, Yeah, yeah, yeah, 100%
- 45:37Anything to add if we wrap up? No, I think you've guys said it
- 45:43all. It's just that every Maharam
- 45:46comes and every Maharam goes. And it seems like all we
- 45:51remember is that this and this and this happened, but we put
- 45:56away the importance of why it happened.
- 46:00So if we remember Imam Hussein's sacrifice, we also need to
- 46:03remember why Imam Hussein sacrificed everything he had and
- 46:07what we're doing to make it to, you know, to revive it, to let
- 46:11everyone know of this sacrifice. So if Imam Hussein sacrificed
- 46:14himself for the for the betterment of Islam and then
- 46:18Imam saying that Aberdeen and his for 34 years of his life
- 46:22made sure that it stayed there and all the Imams did the same,
- 46:25then we now need to come in and learn what they took.
- 46:28So that we can also be part of that of that mission that we're
- 46:33telling everyone this is the religion of our last plant
- 46:35island. This is why we're here on this
- 46:37earth, to do this and this and this.
- 46:40So that people like who want to burn the Quran one day might
- 46:43understand that why am I burning the Quran, for example, even if
- 46:46they don't believe in it? Why do I need to burn it?
- 46:49To prove a point that to show that God doesn't exist?
- 46:53I can burn it, no? That if they understand that
- 46:56This is why the Quran is here, it's it's making children, for
- 46:59example, know the right and wrong behavior.
- 47:02Or it's making adults do the right and wrong things and know
- 47:05the difference between right and wrong, maybe then they'll
- 47:07understand the significance of this book.
- 47:09That's not just a holy text, but it's a text that teaches.
- 47:13Oh, and that text and that holy scripture, You know, the Quran
- 47:16is so important and so central to every Muslim in the world.
- 47:20You know it doesn't matter what sect you adhere to.
- 47:23It doesn't matter what level of Iman you have, You know, it
- 47:26doesn't matter. Let's say, for example, you know
- 47:30whether you read it every other Friday or you read it only in
- 47:34the fat hair, or you read it maybe when when a loved one has
- 47:36passed away. Bro.
- 47:37Every Muslim takes the Quran as a form of guidance and a
- 47:41Charlotte's form of inspiration. And you know, no matter how much
- 47:44people they want to burn, these Qurans, you know, sell one, you
- 47:47can burn 50 of them. I know he's done it twice.
- 47:49You can burn 50 of them at the end of the day.
- 47:51No one can erase. There was a last panel teller.
- 47:53Why? Because in Muslims we emphasize
- 47:55on this memorizing thing. You know we ensure we ensure the
- 48:01Quran is memorized generation after generation that if you can
- 48:05burn all the copies you know you can discard them, you can
- 48:07dispose of them. I don't think that their goal is
- 48:10to eliminate the Quran of the face of earth.
- 48:12I think it's for them. It's a stand of democracy and
- 48:14and anti, oppression and freedom and anti anti.
- 48:19They have a run the Quran anti punishmentarianism that Islam
- 48:22brings down on on society today. So they're saying that the
- 48:27Quran, the establishment of Islam is oppressive to western
- 48:32civilization 1400 years later. So saying this is a symbol, a
- 48:35stand against religion specifically Islam and
- 48:39specifically the words of the Quran.
- 48:41What they fail to understand is that read the Quran, take in,
- 48:45put your ego aside, think about what Allah saying.
- 48:48Think about the messages in the Quran, the values.
- 48:51Don't think about Kill the believers wherever you see them,
- 48:55research. Look at history.
- 48:57Yeah. Yeah.
- 48:58Research. Look at context of the ire.
- 49:01Look at different stories of the Holy Prophet.
- 49:03How each ire and how each sort relates to the the stories at
- 49:08the time and how they're still relevant today.
- 49:09Do you know what I'm saying? Anyway, Charlotte I mean it's
- 49:12been it's been like a crazy few weeks in in the media and in the
- 49:16news. It's really important.
- 49:18Charlotte everyone at home we we learn from from the lessons.
- 49:22You know there's there's so many lessons that we can apply from
- 49:25the time of the other beta name Islam at times like this.
- 49:28We talked about the the parallels between Safine and
- 49:31what we see today. What sign are we going to stand
- 49:33on where who's who we going to partner with.
- 49:35You know when it comes to get a hack versus Bartlett been in a
- 49:39good discussion. We've literally gone full
- 49:41circle. Hamdula.
- 49:43And I know there's so much we never touched on when it came to
- 49:46Imam's in Aberdeen because he's an endless sea of, you know,
- 49:49lessons we can learn from. So I think one thing about this
- 49:52Quran is that honestly I know we said it so much times and
- 49:55probably we've said on previous podcasts, Bro Tucker Lane Quran
- 49:59and the Bates, do not, do not let go of them.
- 50:01They're not, you know, make it 1 seem higher or less important
- 50:05than than than the other. At the end of the day, Quran is
- 50:08more than just a book. It's a book that, you know, we
- 50:10can feel healing from. It's a book that when we read or
- 50:13recite or listen to the Quran, we can feel for some Peace of
- 50:16Mind and it also offers us some form of performance.
- 50:20So, Sharla, we hold on to this so that we will never ever be
- 50:25led astray. I sent, I sent, yeah.
- 50:27So thank you for joining us as always said.
- 50:30Always a pleasure to thank. You so much for having.
- 50:33Me, my heart, my heart when it sees you and hears your voice.
- 50:37Mr. Sharla, we need you here on another podcast, this podcast
- 50:41the last week before Muharram. Yeah, you also joined, said Ali.
- 50:46And I on literally can see his beautiful face we talked about.
- 50:50Episode 53 and something like that.
- 50:51I think it was. Episode 53.
- 50:53Duchin and Ego. We talked about the topic.
- 50:56Really, really important one. If you haven't had it, make sure
- 50:58you listen to It's a timeless discussion.
- 51:00So only thank you. As always, thank you.
- 51:02We will be back next week. And Charlotte hit the subscribe
- 51:05button. Smash it, smash it.
- 51:07And thank you everyone for your support in recent weeks.
- 51:09Obviously, I know it's been crazy, we've been putting out a
- 51:11lot. So I just wanted to thank
- 51:12everyone at home and we'll be back next week.
- 51:15Don't go anywhere. Stay tuned and we'll see you.
- 51:17Then we'll see why they come up to live.
