- 2:08I know I am, all right.
- 2:10So I'm John C.
- 2:12Morley, serial entrepreneur, I'm an engineer, marketing specialist,
- 2:15video producer, podcast host, coach, keynote speaker, passionate
- 2:20lifelong learner, a graduate student and pretty soon,
- 2:24yes, guys, I will be a published author.
- 2:26My first motivational book is coming out in
- 2:30just a short period of time.
- 2:33It will be announced after the dedication to
- 2:36my parents, which will actually be on April,
- 2:39I think it's the 16th or the 17th
- 2:41and then once that's done, it will be
- 2:45made public what the title is because I'm
- 2:46not telling anyone and the book will officially
- 2:49start shipping on May 1st.
- 2:54My book tour will be officially kicking off
- 2:57in June, but we have a few local
- 2:59libraries we'll be doing some tours with in
- 3:01May, so really excited about that as well.
- 3:04So today's episode, ladies and gentlemen, is about
- 3:07living intentionally.
- 3:10How clarity, purpose and deliberate action fuel our
- 3:15momentum, our resilience and meaningful progress in our
- 3:20life.
- 3:20So I'm going to explore 30 actual points
- 3:23that you can choose to use immediately and
- 3:27they'll help start to sharpen your focus, strengthen
- 3:32your discipline and align your daily actions with
- 3:35your highest goals.
- 3:38Live intentionally, that's what it's about, guys, 30
- 3:41points that'll change your life.
- 3:43Purpose drives motivation.
- 3:46When you connect daily, guys, actions to a
- 3:49larger purpose arise.
- 3:53Every effort gains meaning.
- 3:55Number two, guys, intentional living builds fulfillment.
- 4:02Deliberate choices lead to satisfaction and pride in
- 4:07progress.
- 4:09Clear priorities, strength and focus, knowing what matters
- 4:14most prevents wasted time and energy.
- 4:17Purpose fuels persistence.
- 4:20Stronger motivation carries you through challenges and setbacks.
- 4:24Intentional action builds progress and every thoughtful step
- 4:28moves you closer to your vision.
- 4:32Meaning strengthens resilience, guys.
- 4:34A sense of purpose helps you endure pressure
- 4:37without breaking, and that's important, guys.
- 4:41Next point three, clear goals guide effort.
- 4:45Yes, clear goals guide effort.
- 4:48I think that's one a lot of people
- 4:51don't realize, is that clear goals guide effort.
- 4:57Goals act as a compass for where to
- 5:01direct energy each day.
- 5:04Purpose strengthens commitment, and when the why is
- 5:07clear, the how becomes easier.
- 5:09I often say to people, if you're not
- 5:11getting what you want, it's because your why
- 5:13is not loud enough.
- 5:14That doesn't mean you're not shouting it or
- 5:16yelling it out.
- 5:17Has nothing to do with that.
- 5:18It has to do with your intentional ability,
- 5:21your energy toward it, and how much does
- 5:24it make you want to do that, your
- 5:28drive?
- 5:29Because when the why is clear, the how
- 5:32just naturally becomes easier.
- 5:35Focus, guys, drives results.
- 5:38Concentrated attention produces measurable outcomes faster.
- 5:42Intentional living creates impact, and conscious decisions ripple
- 5:47outward, affecting work, relationships, and your entire life.
- 5:52Purpose, ladies and gentlemen, strengthens discipline.
- 5:55Motivation from meaning helps maintain habits, even when
- 6:00willpower kind of wanes away.
- 6:03Clear vision drives action.
- 6:05A defined direction reduces hesitation and confusion.
- 6:12Intentional effort, guys, builds momentum.
- 6:16Consistency compounds, turning small actions into large wins.
- 6:23People say to me, John, you know, I
- 6:25can't get anywhere with this small thing, but
- 6:29it's the small thing, the small idea that
- 6:31actually compounds into something bigger.
- 6:34Meaningful things are key.
- 6:37Meaning comes from fuel of dedication.
- 6:41When your actions matter, commitment deepens naturally, almost
- 6:47like the air we breathe.
- 6:48Purpose, guys, strengthens leadership, and leaders who act
- 6:52with intentionality, inspire trust, and follow through every
- 6:56single time.
- 6:57Focus improves productivity, eliminating distractions, and this allows
- 7:01deep work and creative problem solving.
- 7:05Intentional choices build progress.
- 7:07Every decision aligned with your goals accelerates your
- 7:10growth.
- 7:12A lot of people have trouble with that
- 7:14one.
- 7:15They don't realize that your growth happens because
- 7:18of steps you take.
- 7:21Purpose, guys, fuels determination.
- 7:25A strong why helps you persist when circumstances
- 7:29get tough, and they're going to get tough.
- 7:33But that's not why you want to stop
- 7:35or ever quit.
- 7:38In my book, I'm going to give you
- 7:40a little bit of a preamble here.
- 7:43There's something that happened to me many years
- 7:45ago, and what happened to me, most people
- 7:50would be like, oh, I'm going to pack
- 7:52it in.
- 7:53But I didn't.
- 7:54I'm not going to tell you what that
- 7:54was, but I'm going to tell you how
- 7:56that one thing that happened to me started
- 7:59to change my entire trajectory.
- 8:00Now, I didn't know it was doing this
- 8:02at the time.
- 8:04But I gradually understood this several years ago,
- 8:07and I said, wait a minute.
- 8:08I should write a book about this.
- 8:10Clear priorities guide success.
- 8:13Knowing what comes first ensures the most important
- 8:16work is done first.
- 8:20Intentional effort, guys, strengthens growth.
- 8:25Repeated focused action leads to skill, mastery, and
- 8:31confidence.
- 8:33It's like we get this shot of dopamine,
- 8:35which is a natural high for us.
- 8:37And we like the way it feels, so
- 8:39we want to do more and more of
- 8:41it.
- 8:41I think that's the important thing.
- 8:42So meaning inspires persistence.
- 8:44Passion for results keeps momentum alive over time,
- 8:49because sometimes things will wane.
- 8:54So we have to make sure the pump
- 8:56stays primed.
- 8:57That is key, guys.
- 9:00Purpose strengthens resilience.
- 9:03Obstacles feel smaller when they are aligned with
- 9:07your mission.
- 9:09Your mission, your core values, not someone else's.
- 9:14Focus, ladies and gentlemen, drives achievement.
- 9:19Your focus, where are you?
- 9:21You focused right now?
- 9:23Uninterrupted attention yields results.
- 9:27Far beyond multitasking.
- 9:29So many CEOs I know want people to
- 9:31do 5 million things.
- 9:33Not 5 million, but you know what I'm
- 9:34saying.
- 9:34They want you to chat here, chat here,
- 9:36chat there, chat everywhere, answer phone calls, talk
- 9:39to people in the office, accept packages.
- 9:42That's unrealistic.
- 9:43Can you do it?
- 9:43Yes, but something is going to suffer.
- 9:48Maybe you're going to get the wrong package
- 9:51or send the wrong thing out or put
- 9:53the wrong thing in the wrong envelope.
- 9:55Right?
- 9:57Or perhaps you're going to give the wrong
- 10:00thing to the wrong person that shows up
- 10:02for customer service if you're in that area.
- 10:05Intentional action builds success.
- 10:10Intentional.
- 10:11Intentional comes from our core values.
- 10:15Deliberate planning plus follow-through creates predictable outcomes.
- 10:21Hmm.
- 10:26That's one I think sometimes that we don't
- 10:28pay attention to, but I think it's key
- 10:30to know.
- 10:31Purpose fuels momentum, and motivation translates into continuous
- 10:36forward motion.
- 10:42Continuous forward motion.
- 10:43Not backward, not stagnant, not staying still.
- 10:47Clear direction improves effort.
- 10:49Knowing exactly where you're headed allows smarter work,
- 10:53not just harder work.
- 10:56Intentional living builds strength.
- 10:59Mindful choices strengthen willpower.
- 11:01Confidence and emotional balance, well, that's key, guys.
- 11:04Meaning strengthens purpose.
- 11:08Understanding your why reinforces the reason for your
- 11:12daily actions.
- 11:14Your why, ladies and gentlemen, comes from your
- 11:17core values.
- 11:18Now, your core values could come from your
- 11:20upbringing, could come from your own experiences, and
- 11:24you could change your core values.
- 11:26It's perfectly fine.
- 11:27Sometimes people do.
- 11:29And when your core values change, mine changed,
- 11:31as you'll learn in the book, my life
- 11:35changed.
- 11:37Because I didn't let some program that was
- 11:40stuck in there by people I knew, cared
- 11:43about, people that loved me, or even people
- 11:46that were trying to teach me.
- 11:49I realized I had to change some of
- 11:51those programs.
- 11:52That's important, guys.
- 11:56Focus builds results.
- 11:59Yeah, focus builds results.
- 12:01When you're not focused, you go off track.
- 12:09Eliminating distractions maximizes the effort of each effort.
- 12:14I had a French teacher one time, and
- 12:16she used to always say in the class,
- 12:18because we would have class and we'd ask
- 12:20her a question, lots of times we'd ask
- 12:21these questions, and we would get her talking
- 12:25about something, like when she went to France,
- 12:28or some other interesting thing, and it would,
- 12:31let's say, circumvent the whole lesson for that
- 12:34day.
- 12:34I remember one day, she told us about
- 12:37some food that she had tried in France.
- 12:40We were like, oh, really?
- 12:41Where was that?
- 12:41And she was talking about a pastry chef.
- 12:43Oh, wow.
- 12:44And she went on for 45 minutes, and
- 12:47we were so into the lesson.
- 12:49And then the bell rang.
- 12:51It's like, oh, well, I guess we'll have
- 12:53to pick that up tomorrow.
- 12:55So we picked it up tomorrow, and then
- 12:57another week, we did it again.
- 13:00Well, she started to get wise.
- 13:01She's like, stop trying to take me off
- 13:03on tangents.
- 13:03We're not talking about France.
- 13:05We're not talking about food.
- 13:06We're not talking about pastries.
- 13:07We're going to talk about conjugations.
- 13:12Somebody else asked the question.
- 13:14So, madame such and such, so where did
- 13:17you first learn conjugations?
- 13:20Because you were from France.
- 13:21How was it like learning?
- 13:23What was it like when you grew up?
- 13:24And guess what?
- 13:26We got her on another tangent again.
- 13:30And we could get her on a tangent
- 13:32at least once a month.
- 13:34So we were good for not having class,
- 13:36which was about an hour, hour and 40
- 13:38minutes.
- 13:38So a good 20 minutes into the class,
- 13:40we would try to figure out something.
- 13:42And then the rest of that 45 minutes
- 13:44of the class went off on a tangent.
- 13:46We were just listening all about France and
- 13:48all these things.
- 13:49And there's also no homework because we couldn't
- 13:51get to anything.
- 13:52Live, guys, with intention.
- 13:55Every day is an opportunity to act consciously.
- 13:59Aligning effort with your vision and your values
- 14:02is key, guys.
- 14:04It is key.
- 14:05It's not something you should just do today
- 14:07or do tomorrow because, well, you feel like
- 14:10it.
- 14:11Intention is something you should do every day.
- 14:15You know, when you have a habit, and
- 14:17you make a good habit, and it keeps
- 14:19working, it keeps working, and it keeps working,
- 14:24you've got to realize one thing.
- 14:27And that one thing is this, that your
- 14:31mind loves to solve challenges.
- 14:36Another thing I learned a few years ago
- 14:38is that if you put a problem in
- 14:39your head or a challenge in your head
- 14:40before you go to sleep, when you wake
- 14:43up in the morning, there's a good 95
- 14:46% or more that that problem is going
- 14:48to be solved.
- 14:51That's cool.
- 14:52So your brain is always thinking, even when
- 14:56you're sleeping.
- 14:58In fact, the last thought that you have
- 15:02on your mind before you drift off, we
- 15:04call this something.
- 15:07This is a technique.
- 15:10It's been around for a while.
- 15:12Different people have given it names and whatnot,
- 15:14but this technique is something that, when you
- 15:18mention something, you're like, well, what does this
- 15:20do or how does this work?
- 15:22And I'm going to explain it to you
- 15:24real briefly without getting too deep into it.
- 15:27And so you think about the idea, and
- 15:31then you basically fall asleep.
- 15:36You fall asleep.
- 15:39And so that's pretty cool, guys.
- 15:43You fall asleep, but you fall asleep with
- 15:45that idea in your head.
- 15:49That idea in your head.
- 15:53And it's called Satz technique.
- 15:56I'm not sure if any of you remember
- 15:57the Satz technique.
- 15:59So stay akin to sleep is where it
- 16:02comes to.
- 16:03So basically how it works is this.
- 16:12You remove the noise that would stop you
- 16:15from acting.
- 16:16You get grounded.
- 16:18That's how it works.
- 16:20So how does the state akin to sleep
- 16:23really work?
- 16:24Because obviously, John, I don't get this.
- 16:26It sounds like something in the sky, but
- 16:28it's really not something in the sky.
- 16:33You can disengage by being calm.
- 16:36A lot of you hear state akin to
- 16:37sleep.
- 16:38They're like, well, how does that work?
- 16:39What's the right way to do it?
- 16:41And so Neville Goddard was a very big
- 16:43proponent of teaching this technique.
- 16:49When it feels like it's not working, it's
- 16:50working.
- 16:51So Neville was very clear about this, even
- 16:53though people skip it.
- 16:55Satz fails when the mind is straining instead
- 16:58of yielding.
- 17:01Maybe you're trying to monitor results.
- 17:03Don't.
- 17:05Visualize to get something.
- 17:07Neville didn't teach that.
- 17:10He taught enter the feeling of the wish
- 17:12fulfilled and let sleep take you.
- 17:16That means no convincing, no repetition marathon, no
- 17:19hype, no effort.
- 17:20Just think about it and just let it
- 17:23take you in.
- 17:25Now, this may sting a bit.
- 17:28Stop manifesting billions, but think in this way.
- 17:32Think of it like this.
- 17:33Think of it that a loving truth.
- 17:37Your subconscious does not respond well to abstract
- 17:40magnitudes.
- 17:41Billions is conceptual.
- 17:44Your subconscious lives in sensory normalcy.
- 17:47That's where it basically lives.
- 17:51And so Neville always used these mundane confirmation
- 17:54scenes like I am wealthy, I have billions.
- 17:58That's a very bad Satz scene.
- 18:01An effective one would be checking an account
- 18:03casually and noticing the balance racing.
- 18:07Signing something routine.
- 18:09Someone close saying one normal sentence.
- 18:13Feeling relief.
- 18:16So the way Satz works is Satz is
- 18:18about you feeling drowsy.
- 18:22Images can be faint, not vivid.
- 18:25You almost don't care about them.
- 18:28Your body feels heavy.
- 18:29You could fall asleep at any moment.
- 18:32If you're alert, focused or working, you're too
- 18:36awake.
- 18:38Neville's correct hypnosis structure is this.
- 18:41Instead of a long recording, try to three
- 18:44to five minute max and do not start
- 18:46with money.
- 18:46Start with safety and identity.
- 18:49Everything is handed now.
- 18:51I don't need to fix anything.
- 18:53Life is moving in my favor.
- 18:55An ordinary scene.
- 18:57Pick one tiny implication of abundance.
- 18:59A calm smile.
- 19:00A relief in your chest.
- 19:02An ease in your breathing.
- 19:03A quiet thought.
- 19:04It is done.
- 19:06That's my favorite one.
- 19:09Do not loop it.
- 19:10Don't do repeat affirmations.
- 19:13Let it blur and just fall asleep mid
- 19:15feeling.
- 19:17Health and money together can jam sats.
- 19:22So another truth Neville taught us quietly is
- 19:24too many desires dilute the state.
- 19:27For now, one recording for health, one for
- 19:29financial, never bundle them.
- 19:32Or if you're doing it at night, never
- 19:34combine the thoughts.
- 19:35The most important Neville Goddard line for you
- 19:37is the feeling which comes in response to
- 19:40the acceptance of the wish fulfilled is the
- 19:43seed.
- 19:44And so the thing that's very interesting about
- 19:46this is it goes down to talking about
- 19:50something that we already have within us.
- 19:52And I think that's a very cool thing
- 19:56to note that this is already a thought
- 19:58within our mind.
- 20:00And because the thought within our mind, it
- 20:02just happens.
- 20:04So tonight's reset, you can do this one
- 20:06time.
- 20:06Before bed, just say internally, I release the
- 20:09need to make this work.
- 20:11Then don't try to manifest.
- 20:12Just rest in being okay.
- 20:15And this is when sats starts working.
- 20:18If you want, you can rewrite things down.
- 20:22You can take some notions, but don't put
- 20:25a lot of effort into it.
- 20:27Don't start with a script.
- 20:29Okay?
- 20:30So the thing you do is you prepare
- 20:31the body two minutes before you go to
- 20:33sleep.
- 20:34If you're not already sleeping, bring attention to
- 20:37your jaw, tongue, shoulders, breath, and parts of
- 20:39your body.
- 20:40And you can say something like, I'm safe,
- 20:43nothing needs fixing right now.
- 20:45If your body softens, you're in the doorway
- 20:47of it.
- 20:49Enter the not trying zone.
- 20:51This is crucial.
- 20:51Do not visualize anything yet.
- 20:54Instead, let your mind just drift the way
- 20:55it does right before sleep.
- 20:57Random thoughts are fine.
- 20:58Images can come and they can go.
- 21:00You're not directing anything right now.
- 21:03You're not trying to make anything happen.
- 21:06When your feet feel heavy, slightly floaty, indifferent,
- 21:10well, you're starting to enter that state akin
- 21:12to sleep.
- 21:14Use one sensory anchor.
- 21:16Not a movie.
- 21:17Never warned against long scenes.
- 21:19Choose one tiny implication.
- 21:22The weight of a phone in your hand.
- 21:24The subtle exhale of relief.
- 21:26The quiet inner thought, that worked out.
- 21:29The feeling of bills being irrelevant.
- 21:32Don't add details.
- 21:34Let it just happen to you.
- 21:36You're not imagining.
- 21:38You are remembering.
- 21:40That's the key.
- 21:42You're remembering that this already happened in your
- 21:44life and that's how you feel the feeling
- 21:46of the wish fulfilled.
- 21:48And it's wild.
- 21:49So your subconscious understands ease, security, freedom, authority,
- 21:54and normalcy.
- 21:54It does not understand big figures, pressure, and
- 21:58urgency.
- 21:59Again, let me explain that to you.
- 22:00It understands things like ease, security, freedom, authority,
- 22:05normalcy, but not big figures, not pressure, not
- 22:08urgency.
- 22:09The one question to ask before sleep is
- 22:12how would I be breathing right now if
- 22:14this were settled?
- 22:18Keep you mentally active, trigger performance, and invite
- 22:21doubt.
- 22:22That's some of the scripts that people would
- 22:24use.
- 22:25This method is different.
- 22:27Bypass the effort.
- 22:28Engage the subconscious.
- 22:29Mirror the moment right before natural sleep.
- 22:33Okay?
- 22:35And you can say something as simple as
- 22:39this is a really good one.
- 22:42Before you go to sleep, just read something
- 22:44like I remember when I used to worry
- 22:47about money.
- 22:49That was a long time ago.
- 22:52I'm grateful.
- 22:54And just float off to sleep.
- 22:58I know that sounds weird, but it works.
- 23:02And Neville taught his one technique to a
- 23:06group of churchgoers in the back of a
- 23:08church.
- 23:08And he said about climbing a ladder, and
- 23:10he told people not to climb a ladder.
- 23:12Don't climb a ladder.
- 23:13And what he said to do is when
- 23:15you go home, you can write anywhere, I
- 23:17will not climb a ladder, I will not
- 23:19climb a ladder, I will not climb a
- 23:20ladder.
- 23:20Fine.
- 23:22When you go to sleep, just before you're
- 23:24going to sleep, picture yourself climbing a ladder,
- 23:29feeling the climbing of a ladder.
- 23:30But all day long, you're not going to
- 23:32climb a ladder, you're not going to climb
- 23:33a ladder, not going to climb a ladder,
- 23:34not going to climb a ladder.
- 23:36And something's going to trip where you're just
- 23:42subconsciously going to start climbing a ladder, and
- 23:45it's going to break that pattern.
- 23:48And what Neville Goddard said is that don't
- 23:51come back for the next lesson until you've
- 23:53climbed a ladder.
- 23:54People were confused.
- 23:58So the next few days later, several people
- 24:02showed up.
- 24:03A few people didn't.
- 24:04Later that week, the rest of the people
- 24:06showed up.
- 24:06So it really works.
- 24:09I like this idea that we don't put
- 24:12effort into it, it just happens.
- 24:15I guess when we live intentionally and we
- 24:20don't put a lot of effort into it,
- 24:22it feels very meaningful, like it's our calling.
- 24:28I like that.
- 24:29I like that feeling.
- 24:30I like that thought.
- 24:32I think the more that we can just
- 24:34let go with an idea and fall asleep,
- 24:40our brain solves problems and challenges while we're
- 24:44sleeping.
- 24:46A lot of people that try to stay
- 24:48akin to sleep fail because, oh my gosh,
- 24:51I've got to think about this, I've got
- 24:52to think about this, I've got to think
- 24:53about this.
- 24:53And then they get their brain all wired
- 24:56a million different ways and they're going to
- 24:58sleep and they're stressed and they check their
- 25:01bank account and it didn't work.
- 25:03Of course it's not going to work.
- 25:05Because you're expecting results, guys.
- 25:08That's the whole thing.
- 25:09You're expecting results.
- 25:11And when you expect results, well, that's a
- 25:14problem so soon.
- 25:16That's a problem.
- 25:20So it's all about living the feeling of
- 25:22the wish fulfilled.
- 25:27You might say, John, I never had that
- 25:28feeling.
- 25:30Well, imagine what it was like when you
- 25:34had it.
- 25:35You might say it never happened.
- 25:37Imagine what it was like when you were
- 25:38driving.
- 25:39And by you doing that, you're tricking your
- 25:42subconscious, but your mind's like, oh, wait a
- 25:45minute, I guess we did do that.
- 25:47And then your body's going to just kind
- 25:50of go into that right mode.
- 25:52And that's thoughts, actions, body movements.
- 25:58You will naturally come into alignment for which
- 26:02you're trying to move into.
- 26:05But I found that when you try to
- 26:07push yourself into that place, you don't go
- 26:11there.
- 26:13No matter how hard you try, you don't
- 26:14go there.
- 26:15If you just let it fall, you go
- 26:19there.
- 26:21That's wild, right?
- 26:23So when we are at ease, and this
- 26:26was taught by another great person a while
- 26:28back, when a body is in disease, it
- 26:32is not at ease.
- 26:35So when our body is at ease, our
- 26:37body works very well from everything from digestion
- 26:43to brain power to anything you could think
- 26:48of.
- 26:50I think that's the wild thing.
- 26:52And so as we end this week, we
- 26:55talked about seeing clearly.
- 26:58And I think when we talk about seeing
- 27:00clearly, a lot of times we miss seeing
- 27:04clearly because we think it's just what we
- 27:06see at our eyes, but it's actually our
- 27:08perceptions in our mind, and it's how we
- 27:10relate to our inner world and our outer
- 27:12world.
- 27:13And the more that we can learn to
- 27:16let go of the inner and outer world,
- 27:19the more that we can connect them together
- 27:21almost like magic.
