- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to a meeting of the minds crafted from decades
- 0:05Speaker 1: of talk show experience, an extension of the magic they've
- 0:08Speaker 1: created together on radio in the phenomenon called M & M.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Hot topics in the news and wisdom from life. It's
- 0:16Speaker 1: Mark Davis and Mike Gallagher. This is M & M Extra.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Boomers unite. It's your boomer podcast where Mark and I
- 0:28Speaker 2: will exchange all the medical stories that you could possibly crave.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Welcome in to M & M. I'm Mike Gallagher. He's
- 0:34Speaker 2: Mark Davis. We're so grateful to Preborn, our title sponsor,
- 0:38Speaker 2: giving you a chance to stand for life by joining
- 0:40Speaker 2: us in preventing ultrasounds to girls and women. Just go
- 0:43Speaker 2: to preborn.com slash MMExtra or call 833-850-BABY. Speaking of being
- 0:47Speaker 2: a baby.
- 0:52Speaker 2: I'm a whiner. I'm a baby. I don't do health
- 0:54Speaker 2: stuff well. I never suffer in silence. I'm a little
- 0:58Speaker 2: under the weather today. Didn't make our experience this morning
- 1:02Speaker 2: in Dallas because I'm just not feeling good.
- 1:04Speaker 3: You sounded a little husky yesterday and shared that you
- 1:06Speaker 3: thought it was an offshoot of some of the cholesterol medication.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, Repatha. Repatha gives apparently in 10% evidently of patients
- 1:17Speaker 2: you can have a– an upper respiratory reaction to Repatha.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I get this, I give myself this shot in the
- 1:23Speaker 2: belly every two weeks that is supposed to, and you
- 1:26Speaker 2: don't even feel it. It's the cruelest thing.
- 1:28Speaker 3: You're a bigger man than me. I'm not needle shy,
- 1:31Speaker 3: but I've never stuck myself with something.
- 1:33Speaker 2: But you would with this. It's so easy because you
- 1:36Speaker 2: don't feel it. You put the, it's like this giant
- 1:38Speaker 2: pen and you just take the cap off and you
- 1:41Speaker 2: put it up against your skin. You push the button,
- 1:43Speaker 2: but you don't feel it. No, you don't.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I don't.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I don't even feel the needle going in. It's crazy.
- 1:46Speaker 3: So it's like the pen, you're kind of flush against
- 1:48Speaker 3: your seat and you go pop, pop, and it just
- 1:50Speaker 3: kind of gets you.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It just goes in, but you don't notice it. Anyway,
- 1:53Speaker 2: there is a side effect of like some cold-like symptoms.
- 1:57Speaker 2: So I think that's what's going on with me. But
- 1:58Speaker 2: then you tell me when I text you, hey, I'm
- 2:01Speaker 2: not feeling great, a little under the weather, but I'm
- 2:03Speaker 2: going to power through because I can't miss work. Right,
- 2:05Speaker 2: of course. Well, but you tell me, were you in
- 2:09Speaker 2: the emergency room yesterday?
- 2:11Speaker 3: Hold my beer. I'd gotten back from the ER when
- 2:13Speaker 3: you called me last night. You just had some routine
- 2:15Speaker 3: things to talk about.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 3: I figured I would tell you the story then. Then
- 2:19Speaker 3: I thought, nah, let's save this for the public. So
- 2:22Speaker 3: I'm ready to go with the Eminem radio experience at 735.
- 2:25Speaker 3: And then you tell me that you're under the weather.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I say, okay. So I figure, okay. So I shared
- 2:31Speaker 3: with the local radio audience my exploits of last evening,
- 2:35Speaker 3: which you now still know nothing about because you were
- 2:38Speaker 3: doing your own show and prepping for your own show.
- 2:40Speaker 3: But I will tell you now, as I do, on
- 2:43Speaker 3: the fly YouTube technical question, do you have YouTube up?
- 2:48Speaker 3: Because I do not see the live stream.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Uh-oh, we've got the live stream up, Yasmin. Let's double check.
- 2:54Speaker 2: And I do now. Never mind, never mind. We are
- 2:57Speaker 2: live and there are people in the chat. Operator error
- 3:00Speaker 2: on your part.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Which is almost always the case. We'll get ready, everybody,
- 3:04Speaker 3: to bog down in two or three minutes of Boomer
- 3:09Speaker 3: Medical Dysfunction. I shared with the audience, as I know
- 3:12Speaker 3: you would too, we're generally blessed with really good health.
- 3:16Speaker 3: We're in our late 60s. and compared to people I
- 3:19Speaker 3: know and stuff that are, you know, people going through things, please,
- 3:22Speaker 3: I've are from mobility to overall health. And I always
- 3:24Speaker 3: tell everyone, listen, you got a huge cancer history in
- 3:27Speaker 3: your life. Both my parents and both my mom and
- 3:29Speaker 3: my dad had both and heart disease. So I'm just
- 3:32Speaker 3: happy to see dinner time every day. And then you,
- 3:35Speaker 3: and then you get to mobility where there are just
- 3:37Speaker 3: people facing all kinds of things, but I've been, you know,
- 3:39Speaker 3: pretty active, pretty mobile, pretty functional, blah, blah, blah. Every
- 3:43Speaker 3: once in a while, I will take a tumble or something.
- 3:45Speaker 3: I'll hit the sidewalks of Fredericksburg, not negotiating a curb
- 3:50Speaker 3: cut properly and have what I thought was a fractured kneecap.
- 3:54Speaker 3: But it wasn't. It healed up just fine. So the
- 3:57Speaker 3: latest chapter goes like this. I'd had some pain in
- 4:00Speaker 3: my right knee, difficulty bending it. There's extension and there's flexion.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Bending it is flexion. And it was hard to do.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I couldn't really get into a squat or anything like
- 4:12Speaker 3: that or bend down to pick up stuff, which you
- 4:14Speaker 3: need to do. So Monday of last week, I went
- 4:16Speaker 3: to my wonderful orthopedist, a guy I know a lot,
- 4:19Speaker 3: a guy I like a lot and who I'll apparently
- 4:21Speaker 3: be seeing a good amount of. And I got some
- 4:25Speaker 3: fluid drained, which sounds terrible but wasn't really a problem
- 4:28Speaker 3: at all. Drained the fluid, and it felt really great
- 4:31Speaker 3: for the rest of the week. Then as the weekend progressed,
- 4:38Speaker 3: played out, it started to come back and kind of
- 4:40Speaker 3: bother me even worse. So at the back of my head,
- 4:42Speaker 3: I said, okay, probably got to go back in and
- 4:44Speaker 3: see the guy this week. So yesterday, shocker, I'm getting
- 4:48Speaker 3: ready to hop in the car to go do Will Kane.
- 4:50Speaker 3: They had sent the black limo. It's sitting in front
- 4:53Speaker 3: of my house. I'm getting dressed to go be on
- 4:56Speaker 3: Will Kane yesterday, putting on the shirt, putting on the tie,
- 4:59Speaker 3: putting on the pants, putting on the shoes. And And
- 5:01Speaker 3: in order to put on my left shoe, I'm kind
- 5:04Speaker 3: of leaning against a chest of drawers in my in
- 5:07Speaker 3: my closet. And I and I put my weight on
- 5:10Speaker 3: that right. Again, weight bearing had not been a problem.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I was walking.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I wasn't limping. Weight bearing was not a problem. Until
- 5:18Speaker 3: it was. I've never had anything like this happen in
- 5:21Speaker 3: my life. I pick up the left leg to put
- 5:25Speaker 3: on the left shoe, and I put weight on my
- 5:28Speaker 3: right knee, my right leg, and it collapsed like a
- 5:33Speaker 3: cheap house of cards.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 5:35Speaker 3: The pain was ridiculous.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Collapse. You didn't fall down, did you?
- 5:40Speaker 3: No, I didn't because all I had to do was
- 5:41Speaker 3: put my left leg down quickly to prevent hitting the ground.
- 5:44Speaker 3: So I spared that indignity. But being me, I just thought, okay,
- 5:49Speaker 3: I'm going to walk this off. This will be just fine.
- 5:51Speaker 3: It became abundantly clear. And Lisa came in and said,
- 5:54Speaker 3: you ain't walking that off because she could see that
- 5:56Speaker 3: I couldn't put any weight on it, no mobility, no functionality, nothing.
- 6:00Speaker 3: So I called the Will Kane producers. And they couldn't
- 6:03Speaker 3: have been sweeter. I said, no, just let us know
- 6:05Speaker 3: when you're better.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You bailed on a TV appearance?
- 6:11Speaker 2: You didn't do TV? You'd run Lisa over with the
- 6:15Speaker 2: car to get to the TV studio. Are you kidding me?
- 6:17Speaker 2: I know you.
- 6:19Speaker 3: It gets even better.
- 6:20Speaker 2: It had to be awful. It had to be terrible.
- 6:22Speaker 3: It gets even better on that count. Because I was
- 6:25Speaker 3: already slated to do Will Kane. when the Laura Ingraham
- 6:28Speaker 3: people called me and they wanted me to pop back on.
- 6:31Speaker 3: And I told them I couldn't because of the Fox
- 6:34Speaker 3: 24-hour separation rule. So... What is that?
- 6:38Speaker 2: Wait a minute, wait a minute. You didn't do Fox
- 6:40Speaker 2: 24 hours.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Well, no. Did I tell you that? That I had
- 6:44Speaker 3: done Laura, did Will Kane the following day, and the
- 6:47Speaker 3: Will Kane folks told us, We don't really keep track
- 6:50Speaker 3: of each other necessarily, so we just kind of ask
- 6:52Speaker 3: a favor. If you've been on one Fox show within
- 6:55Speaker 3: 24 hours, don't do another one.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Yeah, but you didn't do Will Kane.
- 6:58Speaker 3: No, I know, but I didn't know that.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Oh, when you turned Laura down, you were scheduled to
- 7:02Speaker 2: do Will Kane.
- 7:02Speaker 3: The Laura people had already called.
- 7:04Speaker 2: That was earlier in the day. As your agent, if
- 7:07Speaker 2: you have a choice, pick Laura. I like Will, but
- 7:10Speaker 2: you've got a bigger audience with Laura. You're in prime time.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I'm doing Will.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I've got members of my family I don't see as
- 7:15Speaker 3: much as I see Will Kane.
- 7:16Speaker 2: No kidding.
- 7:17Speaker 3: They're so nice to me, and they're so good to me.
- 7:19Speaker 3: That having been said, I will always jump at a
- 7:22Speaker 3: chance to be on with Laura Ingraham. By the way,
- 7:24Speaker 3: I found myself watching last night after I got back
- 7:26Speaker 3: from the hospital as like, I wonder who, because she
- 7:29Speaker 3: clearly envisioned.
- 7:31Speaker 2: A Texas connection. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 3: No, well, here's the TMI. I love being on Will.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Sometimes I'm on by myself. Sometimes it's me and somebody else.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Sometimes it's a thing called Cain's Court. But they get
- 7:42Speaker 3: a bunch of guests. It's like three people where I
- 7:44Speaker 3: get like 60 seconds. If they're willing to drive my
- 7:46Speaker 3: ass all the way to Dallas to be on TV
- 7:48Speaker 3: for 60 seconds, sure, why not? I'll do it. I'll
- 7:50Speaker 3: try to make that golden. Laura, I would have been
- 7:53Speaker 3: the entire first segment all by myself the way I
- 7:57Speaker 3: know this. It's because who they wound up getting– and
- 7:59Speaker 3: they did great– Congressman Pat Fallon, he was great. He's
- 8:02Speaker 3: always great. So there is that. So I was bitter
- 8:05Speaker 3: about that. There is something redemptive about that. I'm clearly
- 8:08Speaker 3: the most popular girl at the dance because the Cuomo
- 8:12Speaker 3: people have called about tonight. And I had to tell
- 8:15Speaker 3: them I can't do tonight because guess what I'm apparently
- 8:18Speaker 3: doing tonight.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Oh, my Lord. What now? The CBS Evening News with
- 8:23Speaker 2: Tony DeCoppo? Keep going.
- 8:26Speaker 3: CNN with Anderson Cooper. They called, and I'm apparently going
- 8:30Speaker 3: to do that. Wow. That's pretty cool. I have no
- 8:35Speaker 3: idea how I will get into the van.
- 8:37Speaker 2: They'll have to carry you in like on a gurney.
- 8:40Speaker 3: I've denied you the visuals of this. Here we go.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I got these on standby at the house.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Oh, Mark, I'm sorry. That's no fun.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Here's what happened. I'll be at the orthopedist this afternoon
- 8:51Speaker 3: at 2 because I don't even know what I did.
- 8:54Speaker 3: So the ER doctor came in. There's nothing really they
- 8:57Speaker 3: could do. I mean, it wasn't like it was broken.
- 8:59Speaker 3: There's nothing to reset. There was no sprain, no damage.
- 9:01Speaker 3: I've either blown a cartilage or it's fluid-related or something.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 9:06Speaker 3: It was all I could do to get in the
- 9:07Speaker 3: car and get in the building.
- 9:09Speaker 2: You've got to get through Tuesday. You've just got to
- 9:12Speaker 2: be here for the next few days. I'm not going anywhere.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I could lose a leg at a wood shepherd. That's
- 9:17Speaker 2: how I am. I was talking to one of my
- 9:19Speaker 2: kids this morning. He said, Dad, you sound like crap.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Why don't you call out today? I said, Son, we've
- 9:24Speaker 2: got a midterm election a few days away. There's so
- 9:27Speaker 2: much going on, and I had— A special guest slated.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I talked this morning to one of the Salem executives,
- 9:33Speaker 2: Ashley Eve Dokema. I saw her. Eve Dokema, yeah. She
- 9:36Speaker 2: was fantastic because she wrote about this town hall undercover
- 9:39Speaker 2: video of Gavin Newsom. And it's a huge story.
- 9:42Speaker 3: I've been in a blur for much of the last
- 9:45Speaker 3: 24 hours. Oh, I can tell. I know about it.
- 9:48Speaker 3: But can you share either it or share what did
- 9:50Speaker 3: they catch the governor of California? What did they catch?
- 9:53Speaker 2: Governor Aaron Jones saying? This was an undercover video where
- 9:57Speaker 2: they got Newsom to admit what the real agenda is,
- 10:02Speaker 2: and that is that DSA is going to be mainstream
- 10:06Speaker 2: Democrat Party platform, period. And everybody keeps saying, is the
- 10:12Speaker 2: DSA taking over the Democrat Party? And, of course, the
- 10:15Speaker 2: answer is yes. Democrats continue to chase Trump. But we continue.
- 10:19Speaker 2: We see DSA candidates like AOC in New York, Rashida Tlaib,
- 10:24Speaker 2: Donovan McKinney in Michigan, Claire Valdez, a whole bunch of Californians,
- 10:30Speaker 2: just to name a few. Well, this week, Town Hall
- 10:33Speaker 2: published an undercover video of Newsom, as Trump likes to
- 10:38Speaker 2: call him.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Of course.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Saying out loud what so many have been warning about. Now,
- 10:43Speaker 2: it's hard to hear. There's a lot of background noise
- 10:45Speaker 2: because it's an undercover video. But look, you're not a
- 10:50Speaker 2: bigger star in the Democrat machine than Gavin Newsom these days.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Sure is. He's right up there with Kamala as being
- 10:55Speaker 2: mentioned as the presidential candidate.
- 10:57Speaker 3: And he's a bigger deal because everybody knows Kamala is doomed.
- 11:00Speaker 3: There's no way in the world they're going to make
- 11:02Speaker 3: that mistake again, one presumes. So I would think that
- 11:04Speaker 3: he's probably the odds-on favorite right now unless something comes up.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Correct. All right. So here he was on undercover video
- 11:10Speaker 2: courtesy of Town Hall. I was wondering, because I'm a
- 11:14Speaker 2: younger voter, and a lot of us, we want to
- 11:16Speaker 2: see the Democratic Party move forward. We don't want more
- 11:19Speaker 2: Kamala Harris. We want more, I guess, Democratic Socialist policies.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Where do you see, I guess.
- 11:25Speaker 3: The Democratic Party going?
- 11:26Speaker 4: I think it's... No one is arguing to manage the
- 11:30Speaker 4: status quo and fail more efficiently. So I think that
- 11:35Speaker 4: the DSA, the energy and the desire and demand for
- 11:40Speaker 4: bold change, non-incremental change, is very much going to be dominant.
- 11:45Speaker 4: I mean, that's going to be a mainstream democratic movement. Absolutely.
- 11:48Speaker 4: No question about that. He can't play in the margins anymore.
- 11:52Speaker 4: The whole system's broken. It's completely unbalanced. And we can't
- 11:58Speaker 4: manage to decline.
- 12:00Speaker 3: We have to completely reimagine.
- 12:03Speaker 2: So he's confirming that any semblance of moderation, any sort
- 12:08Speaker 2: of left of center, that doesn't work. That failed. It's
- 12:11Speaker 2: failed abysmally. The energy is with the radical DSA. And again,
- 12:15Speaker 2: if you're listening in the car or whatever on our
- 12:18Speaker 2: podcast today, what he said was this is going to be–
- 12:21Speaker 2: DSA very much going to be dominant. That's going to
- 12:24Speaker 2: be a mainstream democratic movement. Absolutely no question about it. Mark,
- 12:30Speaker 2: he was willing to say the quiet part out loud.
- 12:33Speaker 3: And it's funny. As you described it, I said as
- 12:35Speaker 3: he was saying this, does he seem pleased with it,
- 12:37Speaker 3: displeased with it? He seems thoroughly comfortable with it. And
- 12:40Speaker 3: the funny thing I'll mention, this may be occurring to
- 12:42Speaker 3: people already. This is in a way a mirror image,
- 12:46Speaker 3: but with a very different result. of what has happened
- 12:49Speaker 3: in conservatism. We grew tired of our lily-livered squishes. We
- 12:53Speaker 3: wanted to crank our conservatism up to 11. We wanted
- 12:56Speaker 3: real fighters, and it has worked out wonderfully for us.
- 12:59Speaker 3: I hope it still does on midterm day. For the
- 13:02Speaker 3: Democrats to double down, triple down, quadruple down on their
- 13:06Speaker 3: liberal cray-cray is not going to work well for them,
- 13:09Speaker 3: but they have a similar kind of desire to avoid... Moderation,
- 13:16Speaker 3: playing around the middle, on the margins, and just listen.
- 13:19Speaker 3: If we're going to go, we're going all in with
- 13:21Speaker 3: both feet. So that appears to be what they're in
- 13:23Speaker 3: the mood to do. It's worked out well for us.
- 13:25Speaker 3: I don't think it's going to work out well for them.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Good, good. By the way, I want to circle back
- 13:30Speaker 2: to tonight. I can't believe– I'm so pissed at you.
- 13:33Speaker 2: You're making me watch CNN tonight. You're going to make
- 13:35Speaker 2: me watch CNN? And I think– and really, I think
- 13:39Speaker 2: you're nuts to go do Anderson Cooper. I'm telling you.
- 13:41Speaker 3: You and I disagree with this.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Why?
- 13:45Speaker 2: Who's going to be with you? What's the setup going
- 13:47Speaker 2: to be? Here's the thing.
- 13:48Speaker 3: I do not know. Is it me and a lib
- 13:51Speaker 3: or are they just coming to me to be the
- 13:52Speaker 3: Texas oracle? I don't know, whichever.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Do you see what they do to Scott Jennings every
- 13:56Speaker 2: night on CNN? They're going to yell at you. They're
- 13:58Speaker 2: going to go after you. And what does Scott do?
- 14:01Speaker 2: What does Scott do?
- 14:02Speaker 3: He makes them his bitch. Excuse me. What does Scott do?
- 14:06Speaker 3: He owns them. I have no need to do that.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I tend to be a little more. I don't even
- 14:12Speaker 3: know what you want to call it. I like to
- 14:14Speaker 3: constructively debate with people, and I'm glad to do that.
- 14:16Speaker 3: But from CNN to MSNOW or whatever they call that
- 14:20Speaker 3: network now, if anybody wants to have me in to
- 14:25Speaker 3: say things that I believe, I'll totally do it. So
- 14:27Speaker 3: I don't know. We'll find out.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Here's what I promised the podcast fans.
- 14:32Speaker 3: 7 o'clock Central, CNN Tonight.
- 14:33Speaker 2: 8 p.m. Eastern. Here's what I promise the podcast family.
- 14:38Speaker 2: We're rolling. There will be tape. Lordy, there will be tape. Lordy,
- 14:41Speaker 2: I hope there's tapes. Lordy, I hope there's tapes. And
- 14:44Speaker 2: we're going to roll and we're going to play part
- 14:47Speaker 2: of your interview. We'll feature your conversation. Yeah, we'll see
- 14:50Speaker 2: how it goes. Hey, but I'm committed to doing it
- 14:53Speaker 2: one way or the other. If it goes south, we're
- 14:55Speaker 2: going to play it. If you come out... Like Mother Teresa,
- 14:58Speaker 2: we're going to play it. But we'll see tonight, and
- 15:01Speaker 2: you'll get a little spike in viewership for them because
- 15:03Speaker 2: people are going to watch and be rooting for you.
- 15:05Speaker 2: But Godspeed.
- 15:07Speaker 3: If my appearance goes well, it'll be good podcast material.
- 15:10Speaker 3: And if it doesn't go well, it'll be really good
- 15:12Speaker 3: podcast material.
- 15:13Speaker 2: It'll be better podcast material. It'll be even more glorious.
- 15:17Speaker 2: There's nothing— There's nothing more glorious than getting to help
- 15:20Speaker 2: kids who are starving all over the world. One of
- 15:22Speaker 2: our partners here is Food for the Poor. You and
- 15:24Speaker 2: I have been to Guatemala. We have done our thing,
- 15:27Speaker 2: and we will continue to do so because Food for
- 15:29Speaker 2: the Poor has been doing it for a little bit
- 15:31Speaker 2: longer than you and me, 44 years. 4.7 billion meals
- 15:35Speaker 2: have been delivered. They don't just drop boxes and leave
- 15:38Speaker 2: with food. They buy from local farmers. They build self-sufficiency.
- 15:42Speaker 2: They teach people how to farm. They give people a
- 15:45Speaker 2: way up. It's a beautiful ministry. Food for the Poor,
- 15:48Speaker 2: and you and I have been partners with them for
- 15:49Speaker 2: a long time, and we're proud to invite our audience
- 15:52Speaker 2: here to support Food for the Poor.
- 15:54Speaker 3: When Mike and I have made these travels, it just
- 15:56Speaker 3: brings us back and gives us extra energy to ask
- 15:59Speaker 3: you to give $ 550, $ 500, whatever you listen. Don't think
- 16:03Speaker 3: all of God is $ 20. Are you kidding? We'll take
- 16:05Speaker 3: it happily. You're helping to feed kids, and here's what
- 16:08Speaker 3: you do. Text FFTP, like Food for the Poor. Text
- 16:12Speaker 3: FFTP to 51555. Text FFTP to 51555. You're bringing food
- 16:18Speaker 3: to people, bringing hope to people, bringing the gospel to people.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Text FFTP to 51555. Thank you. God bless you. We
- 16:25Speaker 3: appreciate it.
- 16:26Speaker 2: And my advice to you with the bum knee, double
- 16:29Speaker 2: up on your relief factor, because when you're aching, when
- 16:31Speaker 2: you got hurt, when you got pain, shoulder, leg, knee,
- 16:35Speaker 2: back pain. Now, Mark's got something else going on, clearly,
- 16:38Speaker 2: and I'm praying for you, but Relief Factor is an
- 16:41Speaker 2: extraordinary way to not go down the prescription drug path.
- 16:45Speaker 2: And look, you know what happens with prescription drugs. Sometimes
- 16:47Speaker 2: there's side effects. Sometimes there's addiction. There's some terrible things.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Relief Factor is 100% drug-free. They make it super easy
- 16:55Speaker 2: for you to get into the Relief Factor family like
- 16:58Speaker 2: you and I both are, Mark. Three-week quick start, just 1776,
- 17:02Speaker 2: and that's obviously in honor of America's 250th.
- 17:05Speaker 3: These are patriotic people, and these are people I love
- 17:08Speaker 3: for their patriotism and for the relief they've brought me
- 17:11Speaker 3: at another trouble spot on my body. It's my little
- 17:13Speaker 3: rotator cuff thing. It's better. Your back is better. All
- 17:16Speaker 3: kinds of people are getting better and feeling better thanks
- 17:18Speaker 3: to Relief Factor. 1-800-4-RELIEF, 1-800-4-RELIEF, or relieffactor.com.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Now, can I quote from Kurt Schlichter, who I had
- 17:28Speaker 2: as a guest on my show yesterday?
- 17:29Speaker 1: Please.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Colonel Kurt, who's going to be with me in a
- 17:31Speaker 2: couple weeks on the big Gulf of America cruise. Don't forget,
- 17:34Speaker 2: you're going to be solo for the week of November
- 17:36Speaker 2: the 17th. Gotcha. Because I'll be floating around on a
- 17:40Speaker 2: cruise ship with Scott Jennings, with Kurt Schlichter, with Jennifer
- 17:44Speaker 2: Horn and Larry O'Connor. Can't wait. We have 320 people
- 17:46Speaker 2: who have signed up to join us for this big cruise.
- 17:52Speaker 2: And I can't wait. So Kurt, who's going to be
- 17:55Speaker 2: one of our featured guests on the cruise, wrote a
- 17:57Speaker 2: piece called Our Worst Case Scenario is Still Pretty Good
- 18:02Speaker 2: on Tuesday, meaning we got rid of a bunch of losers. Yep.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Here's what he writes. Listen to this, and I'm going
- 18:08Speaker 2: to quote from this. I hope you don't mind. Let
- 18:10Speaker 2: me read a little bit because it's enjoyable. He goes,
- 18:12Speaker 2: I don't know how Tuesday is going to turn out.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I think Republicans will do better than expected, but who knows?
- 18:18Speaker 2: And by the way, on Friday's show, you and I
- 18:21Speaker 2: have talked about this. Let's have prediction Friday. Let's do it.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Not so much specific predictions we have for these midterms
- 18:28Speaker 3: because in a way we're nervous doing that, but the
- 18:31Speaker 3: whole game of being in this line of work, predicting things,
- 18:34Speaker 3: times when it's gone well for us, Times when it
- 18:36Speaker 3: has not, it's Prediction Friday. So look for that on
- 18:40Speaker 3: that day.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Don't miss it. So he writes, this election cycle has
- 18:43Speaker 2: at least allowed us Republicans to rid ourselves. of some
- 18:47Speaker 2: of the biggest hacks any political party has ever had
- 18:50Speaker 2: the misfortune to be saddled with. When this is over,
- 18:53Speaker 2: we'll be rid of that fraud, he writes, Thomas Massey,
- 18:57Speaker 2: the insipid Tom Tillis, the tiresome Bill Cassidy, and the
- 19:02Speaker 2: Kinzinger-esque Ukrainian fetishizer Don Bacon. Also past his sell-by date
- 19:09Speaker 2: is that Bush-esque phony John Cornyn, whose absolutely disgraceful post-primary
- 19:14Speaker 2: defeat conduct has utterly vindicated the Texas Republicans who rejected him,
- 19:19Speaker 2: whether Ken Paxton beats the blasphemous homoculus or not. These
- 19:24Speaker 2: are just the biggest names on the marquee among the
- 19:27Speaker 2: big pains in the keister. A lot of the other conservatives,
- 19:30Speaker 2: the other alleged conservatives are going away too. Where's Dan
- 19:33Speaker 2: Crenshaw at? Oh yeah, the unemployment line next to Marjorie
- 19:36Speaker 2: Taylor Greene. They've decided, or had it decided for them,
- 19:41Speaker 2: that an era of a GOP whose theme music doesn't
- 19:43Speaker 2: come from deliverance or a circus isn't for them. He
- 19:48Speaker 2: is making a great point. One. 100%. Win, lose, or draw,
- 19:52Speaker 2: we're going to say bye-bye to a bunch of ineffective,
- 19:55Speaker 2: feckless Republicans.
- 19:57Speaker 3: We've had a cleansing process move through and the establishment
- 20:01Speaker 3: dinosaurs have been shown the door. And so it's funny,
- 20:05Speaker 3: a little preview of Prediction Friday. And part of it
- 20:09Speaker 3: is the psychology. In fact, today for a second, let's
- 20:12Speaker 3: talk about the psychology. I told the audience today, look,
- 20:16Speaker 3: you know me for 40 plus years. I've told you
- 20:19Speaker 3: things that I think, things that I expect. And right
- 20:22Speaker 3: now with these midterms so vitally important, I sit here
- 20:26Speaker 3: and I have a pretty strong feeling that Texas is
- 20:28Speaker 3: going to remain strongly red. That Paxton will win and
- 20:31Speaker 3: it might not even be that close. But then as
- 20:33Speaker 3: soon as I say that, I go, whoa, don't say that,
- 20:36Speaker 3: because that means somebody might hear me say that and go, oh,
- 20:39Speaker 3: talk show boy says it's going to be OK. I
- 20:42Speaker 3: don't need to vote. Do we really think that's a phenomenon?
- 20:46Speaker 3: I think we both have shared very vaguely that we
- 20:50Speaker 3: feel like, and you've phrased it conditionally, which is exactly
- 20:54Speaker 3: the way to do it. If we show up, we
- 20:56Speaker 3: will win. If we have our act together, we can
- 20:59Speaker 3: make a different kind of history and not get our
- 21:01Speaker 3: noses bloodied on Tuesday. And I don't know if you
- 21:04Speaker 3: really feel like there's a strong chance of that. But
- 21:06Speaker 3: if you did and shared that, do you think there
- 21:09Speaker 3: is a danger that people would hear a national guy
- 21:10Speaker 3: like you or a local guy like me and go,
- 21:12Speaker 3: the talk show guys think we got it. So I'm
- 21:14Speaker 3: not going to worry about it.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Well, I'm going to challenge you. I'm going to push
- 21:17Speaker 2: back on what you want to do Friday. Because I
- 21:21Speaker 2: see the podcast as a different space than our talk shows.
- 21:25Speaker 2: There's something about being here. We're more casual. Look, we
- 21:28Speaker 2: were talking about my repathoside effect and you're blowing out
- 21:32Speaker 2: your knee. Next week, we ought to compare bowel movements.
- 21:35Speaker 2: We're even more annoying. We wander down rabbit holes.
- 21:39Speaker 3: If we were in radio, some program director or company
- 21:42Speaker 3: executive would go, guys, can you pull your heads out
- 21:45Speaker 3: and focus on stuff?
- 21:46Speaker 2: Oh, we'd get fired.
- 21:47Speaker 3: There is no supervision whatsoever.
- 21:50Speaker 2: We are the inmates running the asylum. So what are
- 21:53Speaker 2: you going to do on Friday? Let's make a prediction
- 21:55Speaker 2: about Tuesday. Let's go ahead and do it. Why not?
- 21:58Speaker 2: Let's just do it on the podcast Friday, on Prediction Friday. Mark,
- 22:01Speaker 2: the audience is going to say, the podcast fans are
- 22:03Speaker 2: going to say, you guys are doing Prediction Friday and
- 22:06Speaker 2: you're not making a prediction about the midterms? No, we should.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Because I know what I feel and I know what
- 22:11Speaker 2: you probably feel. So shall we?
- 22:13Speaker 3: Let's do it. What will be the categories?
- 22:18Speaker 2: House and Senate.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Keeping the Senate yes or no or do you want numbers?
- 22:22Speaker 2: No, not numbers. Just whether we keep it or not.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Yes or no. House and Senate. Let's talk about who
- 22:27Speaker 2: wins the House. Let's talk about who wins the Senate.
- 22:29Speaker 2: We'll do that on Prediction Friday. I accept your challenge.
- 22:33Speaker 2: You throw down the gauntlet.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I will pick it up.
- 22:35Speaker 2: And, you know, I tried a new approach today with
- 22:37Speaker 2: Ralph Norman and this mess in South Carolina. And, Mark,
- 22:41Speaker 2: it's an unholy mess. I mean, there's so much. Did
- 22:44Speaker 2: you hear this morning? Joey Hudson was moderating a breakfast
- 22:47Speaker 2: with Darlene. And some guy jumped up, charged towards her
- 22:52Speaker 2: with a phone toward the end of the thing, was
- 22:55Speaker 2: screaming at her, yelling. It was one of these trolls,
- 22:58Speaker 2: one of these online trolls that wants clicks and all that.
- 23:01Speaker 2: And she didn't even really hear him. And look, Joey
- 23:04Speaker 2: was co-moderating with a guy named Bill Frady. Bill Frady
- 23:08Speaker 2: is the guy, I think his podcast is called Lock
- 23:12Speaker 2: and Load. I mean, this guy's armed. Oh yeah, he's
- 23:15Speaker 2: armed to the teeth.
- 23:16Speaker 3: I like that.
- 23:17Speaker 2: The protesters lucky Bill Frady didn't shoot him. I mean,
- 23:21Speaker 2: he did whip out his badge because Bill's like sort of,
- 23:24Speaker 2: I think, quasi law enforcement. But Joey said, look, I'm
- 23:27Speaker 2: just lucky the Guns weren't blazing. But who knows if
- 23:31Speaker 2: it was just, I think it was just an online troll.
- 23:33Speaker 2: But it's ugly there because South Carolinians are livid at
- 23:38Speaker 2: the way this thing kind of unfolded. Darlene wasn't supposed
- 23:41Speaker 2: to be the permanent senator. She was supposed to be
- 23:44Speaker 2: the placeholder.
- 23:45Speaker 3: And they're pissed.
- 23:47Speaker 2: But guess what? That's all in the rearview mirror.
- 23:50Speaker 3: And it's also what the voters wanted. I'd feel that way, too,
- 23:54Speaker 3: if I were in the Palmetto State. I would have
- 23:56Speaker 3: been a Ralph Norman voter. I would have said, hey, Darlene,
- 23:58Speaker 3: sorry your brother's dead. Nice lady, but no. Nice that
- 24:01Speaker 3: you're the placeholder for 10 minutes. That's great. But now
- 24:04Speaker 3: we're going to pick somebody else for the next six years. Well,
- 24:06Speaker 3: darned if the people of South Carolina didn't go, you
- 24:08Speaker 3: know what? I think we want her for six years.
- 24:10Speaker 3: And that would have been kind of a punch in
- 24:12Speaker 3: the gut. But I would have dusted myself off and said,
- 24:14Speaker 3: all right, if it's her, it's her. Let's go to
- 24:16Speaker 3: battle and beat that crazy Annie Andrews. Well, Trump's going
- 24:20Speaker 3: to be in Rock Hill tomorrow, which is Ralph Norman's hometown.
- 24:26Speaker 2: But you know something? I really thought maybe they have
- 24:29Speaker 2: a trick up their sleeve.
- 24:31Speaker 3: He's going to show up and lock arms with Darlene
- 24:34Speaker 3: and Trump.
- 24:35Speaker 2: He shows up and he's on stage with President Trump.
- 24:38Speaker 2: That would be the best. He's on page. That would
- 24:40Speaker 2: be the best. He'd be a hero. He would be
- 24:42Speaker 2: a damn hero. He'd be putting his country ahead of
- 24:46Speaker 2: his frustration. Instead— That ain't going to happen because here's
- 24:49Speaker 2: what he told CNN's– what's his name? Now that you're Mr. CNN.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Manu Raju.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Manu Raju. He texted the following to Manu Raju of CNN. Quote,
- 25:02Speaker 2: this is from Congressman Ralph Norman. The voters in South
- 25:06Speaker 2: Carolina are not buying the argument that everyone has to
- 25:08Speaker 2: settle for a candidate. that has been propped up by
- 25:11Speaker 2: special interest groups and a Republican president spending millions of
- 25:16Speaker 2: dollars spreading false narratives about why Darlene is qualified to
- 25:21Speaker 2: be elected to the U.S. Senate for the next six years.
- 25:23Speaker 2: This election is about attempts to force a candidate on
- 25:26Speaker 2: the voters of South Carolina. And regardless of the outcome,
- 25:29Speaker 2: it didn't have to be this way, as the great
- 25:31Speaker 2: people living in South Carolina deserve better. Bottom line, elections
- 25:36Speaker 2: have consequences. Well, they sure do.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Ralph, and you just got a butt kicking on the
- 25:43Speaker 3: receiving end of one of those consequences. So he's bagging
- 25:45Speaker 3: on Trump now?
- 25:47Speaker 2: He is. He turned on Trump. What a dumbass. Well,
- 25:51Speaker 2: I know. But instead of calling him a dumbass, as
- 25:54Speaker 2: I was inclined to do earlier today, I'm trying to
- 25:58Speaker 2: cajole and persuade. Because it doesn't do us any good
- 26:01Speaker 2: to beat up Ralph Norman or his supporters. Because, Mark,
- 26:04Speaker 2: there's a lot of his supporters who are understandably ticked.
- 26:09Speaker 2: There's just no way around it. They don't like the way—
- 26:10Speaker 2: And so what are we supposed to do?
- 26:11Speaker 3: Give them a foot rub and say, I'm so sorry.
- 26:14Speaker 3: We're not going to say anything mean about you. We're
- 26:16Speaker 3: sorry your guy lost. Please, please come vote for Darlene.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Screw that.
- 26:21Speaker 2: I'll tell you what we can't do is let Annie
- 26:23Speaker 2: Andrews win. That's the that's that's got to be stopped.
- 26:26Speaker 3: And you're afraid that if we get to listen, you
- 26:30Speaker 3: think in Texas, I haven't heard this. Well, because I've
- 26:31Speaker 3: done nothing but kick the corn and people in the
- 26:33Speaker 3: nuts for weeks for for, you know, guys. Hello. Got
- 26:38Speaker 3: a back passion. If you don't, you're essentially voting Democrat.
- 26:40Speaker 3: You're enabling a Democrat. Stop it. Pull your head out.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Let's go. And I have not been gentle with them.
- 26:46Speaker 3: And I've had some people say, Mark. Maybe if you
- 26:49Speaker 3: were more welcoming of them. God, it just makes my
- 26:52Speaker 3: stomach turn. What are these people, babies?
- 26:56Speaker 2: No, but there is the old adage about getting more
- 26:59Speaker 2: flies with honey than vinegar.
- 27:01Speaker 3: I understand.
- 27:03Speaker 2: And I don't want to beat the crap out of
- 27:04Speaker 2: them because I don't want them to stay home. I
- 27:07Speaker 2: want to encourage them to vote and make the case
- 27:10Speaker 2: that the worst Republican on the ballot is going to
- 27:14Speaker 2: be better than the best Democrat any day of the week.
- 27:16Speaker 3: And that's what you do. And it's largely what I've done, too.
- 27:19Speaker 3: I haven't really just beaten these people to a pulp
- 27:22Speaker 3: by name or faces, except for they call every day.
- 27:25Speaker 3: It's been big guys. The primary was what it was.
- 27:28Speaker 3: I understand that you have the sads that your guy
- 27:32Speaker 3: didn't win. But now it's time to focus. It's not
- 27:35Speaker 3: about you. It's not about Cornyn. It's not about anything
- 27:38Speaker 3: other than beating Democrats and preventing a horrible, toxic Democrat agenda.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Let's unite around that and do that. And the same
- 27:46Speaker 3: logic should work in South Carolina.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Let's hope we're going to get a good night's sleep
- 27:50Speaker 2: Tuesday night. Maybe we'll go to bed with some good news.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Of course, we're going to be covering the election. I
- 27:55Speaker 2: think we're going to figure out a way to maybe
- 27:56Speaker 2: put it on the M & M Extra podcast channel.
- 27:59Speaker 2: We're going to be on stations, I'm sure, KSKY in
- 28:01Speaker 2: Dallas and all over the country here in Tampa. We're
- 28:04Speaker 2: going to be on Salem News Channel. And yes, since
- 28:06Speaker 2: Mark Davis, well, I hope that Laura Ingraham doesn't call
- 28:09Speaker 2: Tuesday night because I won't be able to get you.
- 28:12Speaker 3: I don't think I'll be part of the actual election
- 28:14Speaker 3: night coverage. I'm beholden to you. I will be with
- 28:18Speaker 3: you on Salem News Channel and Salem.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Heaven forbid if Wolf Blitzer wants you Tuesday night. I'm
- 28:22Speaker 2: in big trouble.
- 28:24Speaker 3: If Rachel Maddow calls, I don't know what I would
- 28:26Speaker 3: do with that.
- 28:27Speaker 2: All right, but I'll be sleeping at least on my
- 28:29Speaker 2: Giza Dream Sheets from MyPillow, one of our great partners here, MyPillow.com.

- 28:42Speaker 3: heavy up on the towels and the sheets. And I'm

- 28:46Speaker 3: And there's a heavy thread count, a wonderful thread count.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Not so heavy, though. They're suffocating.
