- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show with the hosts Adam Todd
- 0:15Speaker 1: Brown and Conyore mcspaden.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, I am keeping that vape noise in. I
- 0:26Speaker 2: hope the mic picked it up. I really hope. Okay,
- 0:29Speaker 2: welcome to Conspiracy the Show. I'm Adam Todd Brown, I'm
- 0:33Speaker 2: Connor mcspadden. How's it going, man, Good dude, you just
- 0:37Speaker 2: got home on Home from the Road, Home from the Road.
- 0:41Speaker 3: I made a couple stops there were that were pertinent
- 0:44Speaker 3: to this this week's episode, so I got myself so
- 0:47Speaker 3: a little bit of a background color.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I think we'll be fun.
- 0:51Speaker 3: I went to the the LBJ Library in Austin, which
- 0:54Speaker 3: was awesome. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Really yeah, some cool shit, a couple of cool things.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I didn't know they had something in there that was
- 1:03Speaker 3: one of the coolest things I think I've ever seen
- 1:04Speaker 3: is a JFK had paperweights made to commemorate the Cuban
- 1:08Speaker 3: missile crisis all thirteen days. So it's a calendar of
- 1:12Speaker 3: the month of October with those thirteen days, kind of
- 1:14Speaker 3: like that's like bronze And they had lbj's he gave
- 1:19Speaker 3: him to I think LBJ and all the joint chiefs
- 1:20Speaker 3: of staff to kind of try to you know, men
- 1:23Speaker 3: men things after that, after that fucking Fortnite of Hell.
- 1:26Speaker 2: But that was that was super dope. What better way
- 1:29Speaker 2: to do it than with commemorative paper weights.
- 1:32Speaker 3: I mean that's like, that's about as cool as gifts
- 1:35Speaker 3: get in the sixties. Yeah, and I'm sure he got
- 1:37Speaker 3: them hookers too, but you can't exactly put those behind
- 1:39Speaker 3: plexiglass and charge ten bucks to see him.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. Yeah, I've never been to any presidential library.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I always I want to go to all the shitty ones,
- 1:48Speaker 2: Like I want to go to the Bush. You want,
- 1:50Speaker 2: I want to go to the gerald Ford Library Dubs, Yeah,
- 1:53Speaker 2: the gerald Ford.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I want to go to all of them. It's been
- 1:56Speaker 3: a it's been a mission of mine for a while.
- 1:57Speaker 3: It was actually the first one I've been to, even
- 2:00Speaker 3: excluding the ones in California, because I always fucking I
- 2:02Speaker 3: always go on tour and I'm like, oh, i'll be
- 2:04Speaker 3: passing through Little Rock, i gotta go see the Clinton Library.
- 2:06Speaker 3: And I'm like, I'm always late because I wake up
- 2:08Speaker 3: late and I fucking stopped to pee every forty five minutes,
- 2:11Speaker 3: So I actually made the time to go to the
- 2:13Speaker 3: LBJ one, and I'm very excited to continue. Doesn't every
- 2:17Speaker 3: president have one after a certain point?
- 2:20Speaker 2: I think like does Harding's incompetent ass have one?
- 2:23Speaker 3: I think possible. I think they started right around like
- 2:26Speaker 3: eyes Truman Eisen.
- 2:28Speaker 2: No.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I know Truman has one because I remember he used
- 2:31Speaker 3: to work the phones at his own presidential library because
- 2:34Speaker 3: he would he had like his office there, so people
- 2:36Speaker 3: would call.
- 2:36Speaker 2: In the morning and then they'd be like.
- 2:38Speaker 3: How do I get to the Trubid library or what
- 2:40Speaker 3: did she where he killed all those Asian people? And
- 2:44Speaker 3: then they'd realize they're fucking talking to Harry Truman, and
- 2:47Speaker 3: he's like, I had to get off on fifty six
- 2:49Speaker 3: and I'll be here.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, So yeah, we're talking about JFK today. It's
- 2:55Speaker 2: it's JFK. It's not JFK month in the sense that
- 2:59Speaker 2: it's the he died that's next month.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Yeah, it's JFK month in the sense of those motherfucking documents, those.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Documents that were supposed to be getting as of when
- 3:10Speaker 2: we're recording this right now, which is October Is it sixteenth?
- 3:15Speaker 2: It's the eighteenth.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Today it's the eighteenth, but I think they're They're due
- 3:19Speaker 3: to be released on the twenty sixth.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Right, so by next week's episode we still won't know
- 3:24Speaker 2: because we're recording them both at the same time. But
- 3:27Speaker 2: if something huge happens, maybe we'll well, then this will
- 3:30Speaker 2: be back in a valuable time capsule.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yeah, for what the world used to think about this tragedy.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Well, the thing about those documents are these are.
- 3:39Speaker 3: The older Stone documents, correct, Yeah, And I hope that
- 3:43Speaker 3: our children on that fateful day will walk in and
- 3:45Speaker 3: fucking get be edgy on the internet and you know.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're I think the concern is that
- 3:52Speaker 2: there's going to be so much and there's going to
- 3:55Speaker 2: be so much like jargon and so many code words,
- 3:59Speaker 2: and there's gonna be so much redacted probably yeah, that
- 4:02Speaker 2: it's gonna take months to really and because journalists are
- 4:06Speaker 2: lazy like me, and you could probably power through reading
- 4:09Speaker 2: them in Yeah, we just need the weekend.
- 4:11Speaker 3: There's like a pot of coffee and a couple of
- 4:13Speaker 3: riddle and then we'd have the case cracked. But unfortunately
- 4:16Speaker 3: we've got We've got important things to do.
- 4:18Speaker 2: At them, we really do.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I gotta I gotta write my other isis podcast and
- 4:23Speaker 3: you know you gotta you gotta keep finding like a
- 4:26Speaker 3: semi ironic T shirts to wear exactly.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a full time gig.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Well, I know what people are most interested about is
- 4:32Speaker 3: any information about Oswald's trip to Mexico City in Cuba, Right, yeah, man,
- 4:36Speaker 3: all that ship So people think there kind of might
- 4:39Speaker 3: be something there that's kind of where the hope lies.
- 4:41Speaker 2: And it is. It does seem like it's the CIA
- 4:44Speaker 2: that's kind of sketchy on wanting the ship to come out.
- 4:47Speaker 3: So yeah, it's like, oh, you know, the CIA's girlfriend
- 4:50Speaker 3: accused him of cheating on America and it's like, well, yeah,
- 4:52Speaker 3: just screen screencap the text.
- 4:54Speaker 2: They're like, what do you need the text? I told
- 4:55Speaker 2: you you don't trust me.
- 4:57Speaker 3: We're having a conversation about trust and I was like, well, yeah,
- 5:00Speaker 3: easier to trust you could screencat just.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Send me his brain. What what you lost the brain? Really?
- 5:06Speaker 2: That is so crazy that they lost the brain.
- 5:07Speaker 3: One of my one of my favorite things about Bill Clinton,
- 5:10Speaker 3: A great excuse to bring up an impression that I
- 5:12Speaker 3: can actually do, is uh he when he took office,
- 5:17Speaker 3: he he basically told I forget who he told somebody
- 5:20Speaker 3: working under him, He's like, find out who killed JFKG.
- 5:23Speaker 3: I want to know the people deserveing now, you know.
- 5:25Speaker 3: So yeah, and then he then he was just like yeah,
- 5:27Speaker 3: I couldn't. I couldn't get to the bottom of that one.
- 5:29Speaker 3: He just he also met him when he's a little
- 5:32Speaker 3: good Have you seen that clip?
- 5:33Speaker 2: No? Yeah, because he was he was in like some
- 5:35Speaker 2: like Arkansas.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Youth Leader kind of program or whatever, you know, like
- 5:39Speaker 3: like a like like a scholarship you know, where they
- 5:40Speaker 3: send excuse to meet the president for the photo op.
- 5:42Speaker 3: And uh yeah, you can see video footage of a
- 5:45Speaker 3: young Bill Clinton shaking JFK's hand.
- 5:47Speaker 2: It's pretty crazy. Oh that's amazing. Yeah, it's kind of fun.
- 5:50Speaker 2: So yeah, we're gonna go through. There's so many different
- 5:53Speaker 2: conspiracy theories. This one more thing.
- 5:55Speaker 3: I at the LBJ library, I got a I only
- 5:59Speaker 3: got one souvenir because they did not have replica paperweights
- 6:02Speaker 3: for sale, and if they did, you bet your fucking
- 6:05Speaker 3: ass I would have gotten one.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I do.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I've never had a problem with paper blowing away from
- 6:09Speaker 3: my workspace. I live in an unventilated side room of
- 6:12Speaker 3: a crackhouse in Echo Park. It is exclusively arid and inhabitable.
- 6:16Speaker 3: But I would have gotten one of those. I got
- 6:18Speaker 3: a postcard of LBJ swearing in on Air Force one
- 6:22Speaker 3: next to Jackie Kennedy.
- 6:23Speaker 2: What a horrifying thing to put on a postcard.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Is not morbid at all of the one of the
- 6:29Speaker 3: one of the most horrible pivotal moments in not only
- 6:32Speaker 3: the twentieth century, all of human history.
- 6:34Speaker 2: And it's on a fucking postcard. I mean, it's not
- 6:37Speaker 2: like you had, Like, you don't get an inauguration when
- 6:39Speaker 2: that happens, right, No, No, you don't get the big party.
- 6:41Speaker 2: You don't get any of that.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Be kind of weird to have someone come up and
- 6:45Speaker 3: play smash mouth cover, you know, right after you told
- 6:49Speaker 3: Jay that's a great that's a great thing. And by
- 6:50Speaker 3: the way, I'm gonna be referencing this book a lot.
- 6:52Speaker 3: I should get it out here early. Is the book
- 6:54Speaker 3: Brothers by David Talbot is a very very great look
- 6:57Speaker 3: at the relationship between Bobby and Jack what he thought
- 7:00Speaker 3: happened with the assassination. You know, it goes through the
- 7:02Speaker 3: presidency and the aftermath and Bobby's assassination and the people
- 7:05Speaker 3: that worked closely with them within the White House and
- 7:08Speaker 3: it's really really interesting, fucking great information. My dad recommended
- 7:11Speaker 3: it to me. It's a breezy, fucking like it's almost
- 7:14Speaker 3: like a mystery novel kind of. It's just fun listen.
- 7:16Speaker 3: But yeah, I just love thinking of you. And then
- 7:19Speaker 3: there's a great line of that book where Jackie is
- 7:22Speaker 3: like they're about to swear in and they got the
- 7:24Speaker 3: official photographer or whatever, and LBJ tells her to wipe
- 7:27Speaker 3: the blood off her dress, and she does, and she's like,
- 7:28Speaker 3: I should have fucking lifted there and have to see
- 7:31Speaker 3: what they did to jack I'm just.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Like Jesus Christ totally. Yeah, I was already surprised there's
- 7:35Speaker 2: not more blood in that picture. She was sitting right
- 7:38Speaker 2: next to him.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Yeah, crazy, Maybe that was a body double looking at you, Malania, right,
- 7:43Speaker 3: you see that shit.
- 7:44Speaker 2: No, people are accusing Milania A.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Trump of using body doubles because she had the big
- 7:49Speaker 3: sunglasses on next to Trump and the nose didn't match,
- 7:51Speaker 3: so they're saying that she just like is totally checked out.
- 7:54Speaker 3: She's got a body double, like MF dooing. I think
- 7:57Speaker 3: that was open Mike Eagles joke. But yeah, do you
- 7:59Speaker 3: remember doune to that. Yeah, that was great, Yeah, I
- 8:02Speaker 3: love that. And then doing was just like, yeah, I
- 8:04Speaker 3: did it. If I'm a crazy guy, what do you
- 8:05Speaker 3: want from me?
- 8:06Speaker 2: Yeah? He had people go perform as him. That was fantastic. Yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 2: you can do that when you wear a mask. We
- 8:12Speaker 2: should wear masks. So we do podcast.
- 8:15Speaker 3: So I could sell seven tickets in every major metropolitan area.
- 8:19Speaker 2: At the same time at the same time.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Well, I said, comfortably from my home, I'm going to
- 8:23Speaker 3: give you a little dossier full of dead kid jokes
- 8:26Speaker 3: for you to use and know it'll be the wiser.
- 8:29Speaker 2: You got any plugs. Tonight, come see me in Tempe, Phoenix,
- 8:33Speaker 2: and Tucson, all at seven pm. Yeah, how do you
- 8:36Speaker 2: like it? So let's go through the official story.
- 8:39Speaker 3: I'm on Craigslist hiring mean Boys crisis actress.
- 8:43Speaker 2: So let's go through the official explanation of what happened
- 8:47Speaker 2: to JFK. He was in nineteen sixty three ramping up
- 8:53Speaker 2: for the next presidential election. He hasn't hadn't announced he
- 8:57Speaker 2: was running, but obviously he was gonna fucking run do it.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I'm not. A month later, he addressed democratic gatherings in
- 9:06Speaker 2: Boston and Philadelphia. Then on November twelfth, he held the
- 9:08Speaker 2: first important political planning session for the upcoming year. The
- 9:12Speaker 2: importance of winning Florida and Texas gross was stressed, and
- 9:17Speaker 2: JFK talked about his plans to visit both states in
- 9:20Speaker 2: the next two weeks. Dunt dunt dun uh missus Kennedy
- 9:27Speaker 2: came with him. Uh. Jacqueline, she's got a name, sexist.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Fuck Uh, I call.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Her Jacqueline Bouvier. All right, that guy didn't that fuck
- 9:36Speaker 3: Greek fuck? Wait, no, Jackie Jackie on NASAs NASA. That
- 9:39Speaker 3: fucking Greek motherfucker didn't cheat on her. Probably I'm sure
- 9:42Speaker 3: he did.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Oh.
- 9:43Speaker 3: I called him a Greek motherfucker. I know nothing of
- 9:45Speaker 3: the Greeks or this man.
- 9:47Speaker 2: She accompanied him or was planning to accompany him on
- 9:50Speaker 2: the swing through Texas, which would be her first extended
- 9:55Speaker 2: public appearance since the loss of their baby Patrick in August.
- 9:59Speaker 2: I did not know that.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I have one of these things that kind of
- 10:02Speaker 3: gets glossed over. Yeah, she had a whole fucking month, man,
- 10:05Speaker 3: did she?
- 10:06Speaker 2: Yeah? It was bad times for her.
- 10:08Speaker 4: So that's well, that's crazy because you see all the
- 10:10Speaker 4: you see all the pictures of her in Uh, it
- 10:12Speaker 4: must have I feel like it must have been pretty
- 10:13Speaker 4: young baby, because you see all the pictures of her
- 10:15Speaker 4: like during the presidency and like, do you never remember like, oh, yeah,
- 10:18Speaker 4: there's pregnant Jackie.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Oh you know, yeah I don't. Yeah, I've never That
- 10:22Speaker 2: was complete news to me. Yeah.
- 10:24Speaker 3: It's also funny because you're like, oh, he cheated on
- 10:27Speaker 3: his pregnant way.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah, what if the CIA killed the baby too? Oh?
- 10:31Speaker 1: God?
- 10:32Speaker 3: Like yeah, they took an ultra sounding like he looks
- 10:34Speaker 3: a little too charming and handsome. Yeah, this guy's really
- 10:36Speaker 3: gonna fuck up the primaries in the in the late eighties,
- 10:39Speaker 3: so we got to take him out. He's a communist,
- 10:41Speaker 3: sympathize that you can tell by the umbilical cord.
- 10:45Speaker 2: On November twenty first, the President and First Lady departed
- 10:48Speaker 2: on Air Force one for the two day, five city
- 10:51Speaker 2: tour of Texas. Kennedy was aware that a feud among
- 10:54Speaker 2: Democratic Party leaders in Texas could jeopardize his chance of
- 10:57Speaker 2: winning in sixty four, so he planned to use the
- 11:00Speaker 2: trip to bring Democrats together. We all know how that easy,
- 11:03Speaker 2: how easy that is, and uh, particularly in.
- 11:10Speaker 3: We should let everything burned until everyone is one hundred
- 11:13Speaker 3: percent right like me.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Uh. He was particularly interested in mending fences in Dallas
- 11:21Speaker 2: because there was a small but vocal group of extremists
- 11:25Speaker 2: who were contributing to political tensions there. They had at
- 11:28Speaker 2: one point attacked US Ambassador to the UN Adelaie Stevenson
- 11:33Speaker 2: in October after he made a speech there.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Dude, can't get a break adele Stevenson loses two presidential
- 11:39Speaker 3: elections to a war hero and then gets the shit
- 11:41Speaker 3: beaten out of him.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Trying to help broker world peace.
- 11:45Speaker 3: I wonder, I wonder how, I wonder how extreme these
- 11:47Speaker 3: extremists were because you probably like graded on the curve
- 11:50Speaker 3: of you know, what what progressivesm was in the nineteen sixties,
- 11:53Speaker 3: and then you're like, oh, these they just yeah, they
- 11:55Speaker 3: want an equal pay for women with these fucking yeah
- 11:57Speaker 3: fucking nerds, Come on.
- 11:58Speaker 2: It was either that or they were high jacking planes
- 12:00Speaker 2: and forcing them to land in Cuba. Very possible. Yeah,
- 12:03Speaker 2: there's also like, you know a lot of fucking just
- 12:06Speaker 2: regular hijackings, but they were like party hijackings where they
- 12:09Speaker 2: just like if they blow up the plane, they're gonna
- 12:11Speaker 2: make everyone get off so you can just like watch
- 12:14Speaker 2: And that's like the fucking layover of my dreams.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Yeah, well they fucking storm the cockpit with some like
- 12:20Speaker 3: the rum teenies and they're like, hey, spring break.
- 12:25Speaker 2: If my plane landed, and they every time they were
- 12:28Speaker 2: like all right, head to the window, we're gonna blow
- 12:30Speaker 2: that one up. I'd fly everywhere. I would fly to
- 12:33Speaker 2: fucking Santa Monica from downtown Los Angeles. I didn't get
- 12:37Speaker 2: what you're saying. Well, because that's what terrorism was in
- 12:40Speaker 2: the seventies. They would like hijack a plane, but then
- 12:43Speaker 2: they would just go land it somewhere and get all
- 12:45Speaker 2: the passengers off and then blow it up.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Oh, blow the plane up, just to like show what
- 12:49Speaker 3: they were capable of, like we can get to you.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but they weren't trying to kill people.
- 12:53Speaker 3: I thought they would just like get like hold the
- 12:55Speaker 3: hostages and like you know, for ransom and shit.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Now a lot of times people were trying to get
- 13:00Speaker 2: to Cuba. Oh, that was a really common thing. Like
- 13:03Speaker 2: terrorism was so common in the seventies in the United States. Bombings.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Yeah, if you read that book Nixon Land, it's fucking
- 13:11Speaker 3: you read about it and you're like, holy shit. I
- 13:13Speaker 3: thought we had a lot of fucking like the biggot
- 13:16Speaker 3: a violence going on but.
- 13:17Speaker 2: God damn yeah, And there were a lot of terrorist
- 13:21Speaker 2: bombings in the sixties and seventies, like the Weather Underground,
- 13:26Speaker 2: Like that was an actual group that blew shit up.
- 13:28Speaker 3: They was a Jack White's band, right exactly. And uh
- 13:33Speaker 3: say that.
- 13:34Speaker 2: The Jewish Defense League also, who we could do a
- 13:39Speaker 2: fascinating episode is.
- 13:41Speaker 3: A sub sub branch of the West Coast Avengers, the
- 13:43Speaker 3: Jewish Defense League.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Well, it's funny you mentioned that, because we could do
- 13:46Speaker 2: a fascinating episode about Sug Night and the Jewish Defense League. Oh,
- 13:50Speaker 2: and I believe we should. We should because there there
- 13:53Speaker 2: is there's a document that was released, an FBI document
- 13:57Speaker 2: about them investigating aims that rappers were being extorted for
- 14:03Speaker 2: money using death threats and that it was a music
- 14:08Speaker 2: executive working with the Jewish Defense League and the people
- 14:11Speaker 2: who were targeted were like easy E Tupac. I don't
- 14:16Speaker 2: see any correlation there. And if you read it, like
- 14:19Speaker 2: all the names are redacted, but it's like that's probably
- 14:22Speaker 2: Suge Knight, Like that really sounds like Suge Knight.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Dude Joe Dash very funny comics at best. He is
- 14:28Speaker 3: the black Snightly Whiplash.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah, sug Knight. Oh, fucking crazy hijacking thing.
- 14:34Speaker 3: That a ransom thing, rather than have you see Richard
- 14:36Speaker 3: Branson got like got for like two million dollars.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Oh, some fake ransom shit. So in person they said,
- 14:42Speaker 2: this is do I understand the story.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Someone impersonating someone within the English government was like, hey, Richard,
- 14:46Speaker 3: someone's being held hostage. They wanted two million dollars ransom.
- 14:49Speaker 3: We don't usually do this and this is our officially
- 14:51Speaker 3: against our policy, but this is very sensitive. We need
- 14:53Speaker 3: this person back. If we can borrow the money from you,
- 14:55Speaker 3: the British government will find a way to pay you back. Please,
- 14:58Speaker 3: just for the service of the crown. He's like, no worries,
- 15:00Speaker 3: I got you, and he sends it over and then
- 15:02Speaker 3: it was just he got Nigerian prints. Is how I
- 15:04Speaker 3: understand it.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Hello, just a fucking suspected spam call, he answers it anyway, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 15:12Speaker 2: oh yeah, nothing fishy. They nothing weird about that. Hey,
- 15:18Speaker 2: let's get back to talking about jfk uh. The first
- 15:21Speaker 2: stop of his Texas trip was in San Antonio, which
- 15:23Speaker 2: arguably went way better than most of the other most
- 15:28Speaker 2: of the other trips.
- 15:29Speaker 3: When you love getting back to me, I feel like
- 15:32Speaker 3: I had a to have speech out there.
- 15:35Speaker 2: On the morning of November twenty second, nineteen sixty three,
- 15:39Speaker 2: he began his day with light rain and thousands of
- 15:42Speaker 2: people lined up outside his hotel in Fort Worth. How
- 15:46Speaker 2: did they know what hotel he was staying at? Jesus,
- 15:48Speaker 2: that's weird. Oh, I mean people people have been able
- 15:50Speaker 2: to figure that shit out forever. I mean yeah. And
- 15:52Speaker 2: also if you're the president, it's probably only so many
- 15:54Speaker 2: hotels in Fort Worth where a president would stay too.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I figure you just go like the nicest one.
- 15:59Speaker 3: But uh, also you probably like, oh, the one that
- 16:01Speaker 3: all had hassle, the black limousine circling around it, or
- 16:03Speaker 3: you know, they follow the people from the airport. I
- 16:05Speaker 3: just finished Hillary Clinton's book, and she'd talk about how
- 16:08Speaker 3: people like when they'd find out that Hillary was staying
- 16:10Speaker 3: at her hotel, they would like leave messengers forward taped
- 16:13Speaker 3: to the wall and stit.
- 16:14Speaker 2: So it's like, you know, it's like find out able. Yeah.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I guess that's more modern example, but yeah, that was
- 16:20Speaker 3: a great I was also a great stunt. And jackass
- 16:22Speaker 3: is when they have that fucking poster on the wall
- 16:24Speaker 3: and they're like, oh, I saw the jackass guys are
- 16:26Speaker 3: staying here. Then it's just the giant comes out.
- 16:28Speaker 2: And yeah, I love that all those jackass movies. I
- 16:31Speaker 2: fucking love dude. It's some of the best comedy ever made.
- 16:33Speaker 2: It really is. It's truly magical. Yeah, so he uh
- 16:37Speaker 2: he started that morning in Fort Worth. He addressed the
- 16:40Speaker 2: crowd connor, do you want to take that?
- 16:43Speaker 3: There are no faint hats and fate and foot it's
- 16:46Speaker 3: really really bad, you know, you know what, you know,
- 16:50Speaker 3: I don't do a good job. I don't do like
- 16:51Speaker 3: I can do a couple of voices and then people
- 16:54Speaker 3: think like, oh well, how about let's hear your you know,
- 16:57Speaker 3: fucking bumblebee man. And I'm like, I don't really have
- 16:59Speaker 3: a bun man. I just kind of do like Bill
- 17:02Speaker 3: Clinton and Alex Jones kind of and I'm basically just
- 17:05Speaker 3: doing a ship or me or Quimby. But I can
- 17:09Speaker 3: do a kind of a better Bobby Kennedy. But all right,
- 17:11Speaker 3: there are no faint hats in ford Worth, and I
- 17:15Speaker 3: appreciate your being here this morning. Missus Kennedy is organizing herself.
- 17:19Speaker 3: It takes longer, but of course she looks better than
- 17:21Speaker 3: we when she does it. I'm I don't want pig.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I definitely, I don't want to bang or anybody else.
- 17:30Speaker 2: The whole the whole thing with the Kennedy impression is
- 17:32Speaker 2: just the placement of the er. Ah. So so he
- 17:42Speaker 2: had a few more talks that morning in Fort Worth
- 17:45Speaker 2: and then they leave for love Love Field in Dallas,
- 17:50Speaker 2: Texas city by the way, great city. I did a
- 17:54Speaker 2: show their last Halloween Out of you, Dallas, Out of
- 17:58Speaker 2: your like the m Apples Connolly, Uh, the motorcade. They
- 18:03Speaker 2: went by motorcade Carswell Air Force Base for the thirty
- 18:06Speaker 2: to deal Plaza. I didn't and I don't know why. Yeah,
- 18:10Speaker 2: that's Adam that I didn't even think about it.
- 18:14Speaker 3: That's so like you were wearing the official like uh,
- 18:16Speaker 3: fucking hat of the guy that goes to Dally Plaza
- 18:19Speaker 3: to take the picture.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Oh oh you know why because we were supposed to
- 18:23Speaker 2: be in Dallas for two days we had it was
- 18:28Speaker 2: on the Portugal de Man tour and they had a
- 18:30Speaker 2: day or we had a day off, and I found
- 18:33Speaker 2: out they were going to Roswell, So I was like,
- 18:36Speaker 2: I'm fucking going to.
- 18:38Speaker 3: That was gonna be my counter examples, Like you're passing
- 18:40Speaker 3: through Roswell, New Mexico and you own aliens.
- 18:42Speaker 2: I was literally about to say that, and that's so funny.
- 18:44Speaker 2: That was yeah, so that that's why I didn't have
- 18:47Speaker 2: time in dak because then when I got to Dallas,
- 18:49Speaker 2: I had the show that night and then we left
- 18:50Speaker 2: the next day. I mean we had some barbecue, of course,
- 18:52Speaker 2: but yeah, I gotta, I gotta, I gotta.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Go take my uh my, my new photo journalism project
- 18:58Speaker 3: where I just do a hasteless snapchat filters in front
- 19:01Speaker 3: of American tragedy landmarks, where I go stand in the
- 19:05Speaker 3: X with the dog ears.
- 19:08Speaker 2: There's got to be a bunch in La Chat lives
- 19:11Speaker 2: right behind the where the Black Dahlia.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean I know, the hotel where Bobby
- 19:16Speaker 3: Kennedy was shot has since been torn down, and that
- 19:18Speaker 3: bummed me out. I actually heard Bill Burr talking about
- 19:20Speaker 3: that forever ago, and I was like, fuck, I would
- 19:21Speaker 3: have liked it gun and seen that ballroom.
- 19:22Speaker 2: But uh yeah. They tore down the Nazi compound in
- 19:25Speaker 2: Santa Monica too, they did, I know. I mean that's
- 19:28Speaker 2: a little better, but I mean.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, after probably a good move after World War.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Two ended, they immediately tore it down seventy one years later.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Yeah, but the infrastructure and layout of Santa Monica lives
- 19:40Speaker 3: on as a testament to the fucking perils of fascism.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I was just talking about how much I hate that
- 19:45Speaker 2: place before we left. Shit.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Oh, here's what I was thinking, is if there's like
- 19:48Speaker 3: a modern assassinating, like say, like Trump gets shot, you know,
- 19:51Speaker 3: which I don't think would I. You know, as much
- 19:53Speaker 3: as I hate the guy, I think I don't want
- 19:55Speaker 3: to always a bad thing, don't want anybody to get
- 19:57Speaker 3: it's always It's never good, never shakes out.
- 19:59Speaker 2: President assassinated is always bad.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that doesn't no ending to that is great. But
- 20:05Speaker 3: I just think it's funny that the only only footage
- 20:07Speaker 3: is a person doing that thing where they put the
- 20:09Speaker 3: Snapchat filter on somebody else, likely so you can't see
- 20:13Speaker 3: the exit wound because there's a dog ear in the way.
- 20:16Speaker 3: And then as his mouth goes agape, when the fucking
- 20:18Speaker 3: blood drains from his eyes and his fucking skull leaks
- 20:21Speaker 3: out onto his big long tides, the tongue flaps out
- 20:25Speaker 3: of the Snapchat filter.
- 20:27Speaker 2: And then we have to add this is.
- 20:28Speaker 3: The Zapruder film for the fucking millennial generation. You see
- 20:32Speaker 3: in that moment, just the death of Western civilization and
- 20:35Speaker 3: the ideals of the history.
- 20:37Speaker 2: And she's like, Okay, well, yeah, we just we live
- 20:38Speaker 2: in a fucking police state.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Because this guy had to go get a bunch of
- 20:42Speaker 3: retweets for his sneaky snaps.
- 20:46Speaker 2: That would be pretty great. Yeah, that's a little fantasy
- 20:48Speaker 2: I had in the car on the triover. So they
- 20:52Speaker 2: flew to Dallas, which takes thirteen minutes from Fort Worth.
- 20:55Speaker 2: But hey, that's fine.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Uh so, and since yeah, things to do, and by things,
- 21:00Speaker 3: I mean secretaries.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Since it wasn't raining anymore, they took the plastic bubble
- 21:05Speaker 2: top off of the motorcade. Probably not a great idea,
- 21:09Speaker 2: and the procession left the airport and traveled along a
- 21:12Speaker 2: ten mile route that wound through downtown Dallas on the
- 21:16Speaker 2: way to the Trademark, where the President was scheduled to
- 21:18Speaker 2: speak at a luncheon. That sounds like a made up
- 21:20Speaker 2: business from King of the Hill. Yeah, it sounds like
- 21:22Speaker 2: a dollar store, dude, We're going to Trademark, Bobby. The
- 21:27Speaker 2: car turned off Main Street at Dealey Plaza around twelve
- 21:31Speaker 2: thirty PM as it was passing the Texas School Book Depository,
- 21:35Speaker 2: gunfire rang out. Bullets struck the President's neck and head,
- 21:40Speaker 2: and he slumped over toward Missus kennedyment. The governor was
- 21:44Speaker 2: also hit in the chest, which what was the name
- 21:47Speaker 2: of the governor that was hit, Uh Connolly. Yeah, and
- 21:49Speaker 2: the car, you know, obviously sped off the park. Everyone
- 21:52Speaker 2: knows this park. You've seen the movie. Yeah, you've seen
- 21:55Speaker 2: the movie. We've seen the footage he gets shot and
- 21:57Speaker 2: they speed off. It's very dramatic foot Oh. Yeah, it's
- 22:01Speaker 2: a fucking harrowing. Yeah, there's so many things about it that,
- 22:05Speaker 2: like even now when you watch it, you're like, why why,
- 22:08Speaker 2: Like why were they even driving? Like they didn't secure anything, Like,
- 22:13Speaker 2: it's such a crazy story.
- 22:14Speaker 3: It is well and it's yeah, and it's also just
- 22:17Speaker 3: like he wanted to, you know, as a show of confidence.
- 22:19Speaker 3: He was like, you know, people were questioning his fucking
- 22:23Speaker 3: chances in the next election. He's like, I'm gonna we're
- 22:25Speaker 3: going out of show and we're gonna win Texas again,
- 22:27Speaker 3: and we're gonna make black people people for realsies.
- 22:31Speaker 2: And I have a whole plan for the world, you know.
- 22:33Speaker 3: And then yeah, it was just kind of the the arrogance,
- 22:37Speaker 3: but uh.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Yeah, or was it or was the CIA? Just like, yeah,
- 22:40Speaker 2: we checked the buildings. Buildings are great, nothing going on
- 22:43Speaker 2: in there. Uh tell you, we.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Got in those buildings a lot of big fans. Mister president,
- 22:47Speaker 3: you're gonna have a great.
- 22:49Speaker 1: So.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Yeah, they took him to the hospital. Obviously he didn't live.
- 22:53Speaker 2: A priest was summoned to administer the last rites, and
- 22:56Speaker 2: at about one pm, JFK was pronounced dead. Governor Donley
- 23:00Speaker 2: was seriously wounded but did recover. The president's body was
- 23:04Speaker 2: brought to love Field and placed on Air Force one.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Before the plane took off, a grim faced LBJ, accompanied
- 23:11Speaker 2: by Missus Kennedy, took that famous postcard photo. Yeah, you know, the.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Now sunny postcard picture. I gotta hang that up. It's
- 23:20Speaker 3: still in my car. But yeah, look at the like
- 23:22Speaker 3: it's like this is so brutal, Like this look at
- 23:25Speaker 3: that woman.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Yeah, that poor fucking nice woman. It blows my mind
- 23:29Speaker 2: that of all the LBJ, like, is that the only
- 23:32Speaker 2: moment they could put on a postcard. You're gonna mail
- 23:34Speaker 2: that to your family. They had a shitload of postcards.
- 23:36Speaker 3: But that was like, yeah, that was like sitting on
- 23:38Speaker 3: the carousel and I was like well for a dollar
- 23:41Speaker 3: twenty nine, I'm going to need to own one of these.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Absolutely, it should have mailed a few out. Yeah, so
- 23:47Speaker 2: less than an hour or less than an hour earlier
- 23:50Speaker 2: before all this happened, police had arrested Lee Harvey Oswald. Uh,
- 23:56Speaker 2: this is an hour earlier before JFK finally died. Obviously
- 23:59Speaker 2: they didn't arrest him he shot or did they clarify
- 24:03Speaker 2: the street He's like Ted Cruz his uncle, right, I'm
- 24:05Speaker 2: pretty sure I think so. Yeah, he's or a father
- 24:08Speaker 2: or something like that. Great yeah, godfather or something. Yeah.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Police had arrested Lee Harvey Oswald, a recently hired employee
- 24:15Speaker 2: at the Texas school Book Depository. He was being held
- 24:18Speaker 2: for the assassination of President Kennedy and the fatal shooting
- 24:23Speaker 2: shortly afterward of patrolman J. D. Tippett on a Dallas street.
- 24:27Speaker 2: He's a guy that you forget about a lot in all. Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 24:30Speaker 2: because they finally found Oswald in a movie theater. Yeah,
- 24:35Speaker 2: and that's where this other shooting happened. Or no, did
- 24:39Speaker 2: they arrest him in the movie theater.
- 24:41Speaker 3: I think they arrested him in the movie theater, and
- 24:42Speaker 3: I think he got shot like outside of a car,
- 24:45Speaker 3: or he was stopped in his car.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Oh it says it right there. Yeah. Yeah. Less than
- 24:50Speaker 2: an hour after Kennedy was assassinated, Tippett had stopped Oswald,
- 24:54Speaker 2: who shot him at point blank range. Oswald was a
- 24:57Speaker 2: twenty four year old former marine who had the affected
- 25:00Speaker 2: to the Soviet Union and returned to the US the
- 25:02Speaker 2: year before.
- 25:03Speaker 3: I mean, even it wasn't point blank range, Osa would
- 25:06Speaker 3: have hit him because, as we know, he is an expert.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Marks he really can land a shot.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Who who pulled off the crime of the century using
- 25:13Speaker 3: a rifle that I think costs like eighty nine cents
- 25:16Speaker 3: in a couple like a school bonus box tops.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Like the Mayor's rifle.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Yeah, he got that he got in the back of
- 25:22Speaker 3: a comic book with his X race Pecs. It was
- 25:25Speaker 3: like a mail order rifle. I think that like ahead,
- 25:27Speaker 3: assemble yourself and ship.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was. They have that gun? Can you like,
- 25:32Speaker 2: is that gun in a museum somewhere? Is that rifle?
- 25:35Speaker 3: Let's let's see, because like they didn't throw it into
- 25:38Speaker 3: a Vata asset after that happened.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I wonder if it's in the I don't know if
- 25:42Speaker 2: they would put it in the JFK Library. It seems
- 25:45Speaker 2: like a little kind of like Jesus in the in
- 25:49Speaker 2: the depository, Oh may because they do have that area,
- 25:53Speaker 2: like it's kind of sealed off.
- 25:54Speaker 3: And there's that's the fucking great Bill Hicks joke where
- 25:58Speaker 3: he's like, I went to the Texas school Book Depository
- 26:01Speaker 3: and it's like, oh, yeah, it was just like it
- 26:03Speaker 3: was on that day.
- 26:04Speaker 2: No shooter. Nice. Yeah, it doesn't really say remained in
- 26:11Speaker 2: the possession of the FBI for a few years. Yeah,
- 26:15Speaker 2: I imagine like the Warren Commission. Oh, there's a replica
- 26:18Speaker 2: on display at the sixth Floor Museum in Dallas, but
- 26:23Speaker 2: the rifle and pistol are now kept in a secure
- 26:25Speaker 2: location within the National Archives and Records Administration building in
- 26:30Speaker 2: College Park, Maryland. Uh dude, man, you gotta.
- 26:33Speaker 3: I just want to work my way up as a
- 26:34Speaker 3: fucking paper pusher so I can get to the point
- 26:36Speaker 3: where I'm like, can.
- 26:37Speaker 2: I see the rifle? Can I just go touch the
- 26:39Speaker 2: gun that? Can I take a picture with it?
- 26:41Speaker 3: Can I take a selfie with the one of the
- 26:44Speaker 3: most significant weapons of all time?
- 26:46Speaker 2: So this is a The morning after Oswald was arrested, obviously,
- 26:52Speaker 2: he was murdered by Jack Ruby. Let's watch some old
- 26:58Speaker 2: timey news.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Foot Dallas, as President Kennedy is accused assassin.
- 27:02Speaker 2: They shot down himself during a jail transfer.
- 27:05Speaker 1: There's an ominous symbol in Lee Harvey Oswald's murder weapon
- 27:08Speaker 1: as he has taken to the city of jailed basement.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Where it's like a video game where they just have
- 27:12Speaker 2: the weapon you're using floating of your hes. Yeah, smile.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Here's an assailant moves in from the right.
- 27:19Speaker 3: It's just funny that that's like evidence handling was was
- 27:23Speaker 3: done back that.
- 27:30Speaker 2: That's so crazy.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Another camera, the motion is slowed, the murderer moves in,
- 27:35Speaker 1: and here is the shame of all America as Jack
- 27:38Speaker 1: Rubinstein takes the law under himself.
- 27:40Speaker 2: I think maybe the government killing JFK was the shame
- 27:43Speaker 2: of all America the same Yeah, right, where President Kennedy died,
- 27:47Speaker 2: doctor's work to save his life, or just that America
- 27:50Speaker 2: killed president President's death.
- 27:51Speaker 1: He's accused slayer is dead.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Luke Harvey Oswell is twenty four.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, that is how old I am and I
- 28:02Speaker 3: really haven't made my mark on the world.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Yeah, he was getting done by your age. God damn it.
- 28:08Speaker 2: That's a little a little embarrassing. The assailant who shot
- 28:12Speaker 2: Lee Harvey Oswald obviously was Jack Ruby. I did not
- 28:15Speaker 2: know this. In the video they call him Jack Rubinstein.
- 28:18Speaker 2: I thought his last name was just Ruby. Me too.
- 28:20Speaker 3: That's a great fucking King of the Hill joke is
- 28:22Speaker 3: when Dale is like, well, how do I know it's
- 28:25Speaker 3: Jack Ruby's hat? Okay, what colors does it come in?
- 28:30Speaker 3: That's the fucking best show ever.
- 28:32Speaker 2: That is a really good show. So this is where
- 28:35Speaker 2: the conspiracy start. Obviously those are the official events. There
- 28:40Speaker 2: are people who believe that Oswald was killed in order
- 28:42Speaker 2: to stop him from revealing a larger conspiracy. And there
- 28:46Speaker 2: is that famous line where he's someone asks him about it,
- 28:51Speaker 2: is it publicly? And he he says, I'm a patsy? Basically, oh,
- 28:55Speaker 2: Jack Ruby, No it was. Let me see if I
- 28:57Speaker 2: can find that clip. Wait, who said who said they're
- 28:59Speaker 2: a pat Here we go? Whoa this is? This is
- 29:03Speaker 2: like during is like on the twenty second the same
- 29:06Speaker 2: day when.
- 29:06Speaker 3: He's like arrest interviewed by the by the comps.
- 29:12Speaker 1: I like some league and representation the police officers. I'm
- 29:15Speaker 1: not allowed me to to have any I don't know
- 29:19Speaker 1: what this is all about. It, I'll go for lack
- 29:21Speaker 1: of unto.
- 29:22Speaker 4: I go to people I.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Work in that building the time. Naturally, if I work
- 29:29Speaker 1: in that building, yes, man, because of the fact that
- 29:35Speaker 1: I live, I'm just a.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Part of President Damn. I don't disbelieve him. I mean yeah,
- 29:49Speaker 2: I mean there's a reason this conspiracy theory has hung
- 29:52Speaker 2: around as long as it has, and it's because there's
- 29:56Speaker 2: a lot of weird ship about it, especially as it
- 29:59Speaker 2: pertains to Oswald and his ability to commit this fucking crime.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Well, yeah, and it's a I mean like they've done
- 30:08Speaker 3: fucking like the recreations of the window, and like sometimes
- 30:11Speaker 3: people say they can get the shots off.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Sometimes they say they can't. I mean, people say it's
- 30:15Speaker 2: a piece of shit rifle.
- 30:15Speaker 3: There's six, you know, three shots in six seconds. People
- 30:18Speaker 3: say they had more shots. It's like, I don't know.
- 30:21Speaker 3: And then between that and all the geopolitical fucking the
- 30:24Speaker 3: hands in the cookie jars swirling around everywhere, it's like
- 30:27Speaker 3: there's so many there's like fifteen somethings. So I feel
- 30:31Speaker 3: like it's not nothing right, you know.
- 30:33Speaker 2: So On November twenty ninth, Lyndon Johnson appointed the President's
- 30:38Speaker 2: Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy, and as we
- 30:42Speaker 2: all know now, it came to be known as the
- 30:44Speaker 2: Warren Commission because the chairman was Earl Warren, Chief Justice
- 30:49Speaker 2: of the United States, and Johnson directed the commission to
- 30:53Speaker 2: evaluate matters relating to the assassination and the subsequent killing
- 30:57Speaker 2: of the alleged assassin, and to rep its findings and
- 31:01Speaker 2: conclusions to him. In nineteen sixty four, the Warren Commission
- 31:05Speaker 2: concluded President Kennedy was killed by a lone assassin, Oswald,
- 31:10Speaker 2: while three other investigations in sixty eight, seventy five and
- 31:14Speaker 2: seventy eight seventy nine confirmed the commission's conclusion that JFK
- 31:18Speaker 2: had been killed by two shots from behind. Yeah. Yeah, right,
- 31:24Speaker 2: So let's get into some of the things that are
- 31:27Speaker 2: are weird about the official explanation of what happened.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Yeah, because, I mean, the the one kind of prevailing
- 31:35Speaker 3: the theory within, within, within a lot of the theories
- 31:37Speaker 3: that the Warren Commission is just like America was pretty bummed.
- 31:41Speaker 3: They wanted a nice tidy ending to all of this, right,
- 31:45Speaker 3: you know, and which makes sense.
- 31:46Speaker 2: I mean, I don't. I wouldn't put that past the CIA.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Or you know the and it's probably not untrue. Yeah,
- 31:54Speaker 2: I mean I don't. This is one of those things
- 31:56Speaker 2: where it's like, do you want to know the truth,
- 31:58Speaker 2: Like when gorbachaw when glass Gnost happened, and he was like,
- 32:02Speaker 2: you want to know what Rush is up to? I'll
- 32:04Speaker 2: tell you, and people were like, oh, this is bad.
- 32:08Speaker 2: At the risk of sounding look at Dullard, what is
- 32:10Speaker 2: glass nose. It was when Gorbachev, near the end of
- 32:13Speaker 2: his run in the Soviet Union, he put this policy
- 32:18Speaker 2: of transparency and shit in place where the government wasn't
- 32:22Speaker 2: as secretive anymore, and they started telling people about the past,
- 32:26Speaker 2: and people who fucking love Stalin found out Stalin, I
- 32:30Speaker 2: don't know, killed hundreds of thousands of people in their
- 32:32Speaker 2: small part of the Soviet Union. Oh yeah, and it's
- 32:36Speaker 2: one of the things that eventually kind of collapsed the
- 32:38Speaker 2: Soviet Union when ye Gorbachev is a fucking weird motherfucker. Anyway. Yeah,
- 32:43Speaker 2: so let's talk about the magic bullet because Oswald fired
- 32:47Speaker 2: just three bullets in Dallas.
- 32:49Speaker 3: What's what's fucking great about this is that this is
- 32:52Speaker 3: now a kitchen product.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 32:56Speaker 3: It is like like the thing used to justify the
- 33:00Speaker 3: largest the alleged lie ever the foisted upon the American
- 33:03Speaker 3: pro public is a great way for smoothies when you're
- 33:06Speaker 3: in a rush. I used the magic bullet this morning
- 33:09Speaker 3: to make a kale shake, and I was making it
- 33:12Speaker 3: and I was like, I gotta go over my notes,
- 33:14Speaker 3: and I was like, wait a minute.
- 33:15Speaker 2: I like to think that there's a government, like a
- 33:18Speaker 2: wing of the government that's just creating products that they
- 33:22Speaker 2: can put out to the public for seo purposes. So
- 33:25Speaker 2: now when you Google magic Bullet, you just get that
- 33:27Speaker 2: fucking thing. That's so funny to bury all the truth
- 33:30Speaker 2: completely Barry's history on the tenth page of Google.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I went to a burger place in Japan. They
- 33:35Speaker 3: get the two sizes fat man and little boy. Which
- 33:39Speaker 3: one do I want?
- 33:40Speaker 2: I don't know the So, yeah, he fired three bullets
- 33:43Speaker 2: in Dallas, but he killed JFK and badly wounded Governor
- 33:46Speaker 2: John Connolly, who was sitting in front of the President.
- 33:48Speaker 2: The Warren Commission came up with the single bullet theory
- 33:54Speaker 2: to explain how Oswald did so much damage with just
- 33:57Speaker 2: three rounds.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Oh, actually, I forgot I just started a new Gulf
- 34:01Speaker 3: of Tonkin incident. Non step Han guaranteed never to stick.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Great for flapjacks and scrambled. Sorry, I was trying to
- 34:09Speaker 3: think of another confirmed false flag.
- 34:13Speaker 2: That was a good one.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that was a good one. I'm done. I'm done
- 34:16Speaker 3: with that. That riff don't know enough about history to
- 34:18Speaker 3: do anymore.
- 34:19Speaker 2: So. The magic bullet theory basically goes that both men
- 34:24Speaker 2: were hit by a single bullet which entered JFK's upper back,
- 34:30Speaker 2: exited his his pussy and his craft, exited his throat,
- 34:38Speaker 2: and struck Connelly, breaking a rib and shattering his wrist
- 34:43Speaker 2: and finally coming to rest in his thigh. Yeah. Gaptics
- 34:48Speaker 2: say the trajectory was fanciful and renamed it the magic
- 34:52Speaker 2: bullet theory. And this is just one of the things
- 34:56Speaker 2: that conspiracy theorists point to as the maybe being a
- 35:01Speaker 2: cover up of some sort.
- 35:02Speaker 3: When you when you just visualize the path of that
- 35:05Speaker 3: bullet mentally, it doesn't remind you when bugs Bunny goes
- 35:08Speaker 3: like digging around America or whatever.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you know what does that mean? He live
- 35:11Speaker 2: turned it out with or any uber driver trying to
- 35:14Speaker 2: find my apartment build up? Yes, it's like are you
- 35:17Speaker 2: being chased by the police, right, now, what the fuck
- 35:20Speaker 2: I took I took it.
- 35:22Speaker 3: I got an uber ride from one of those guys
- 35:23Speaker 3: who just has like every accent at once. I couldn't
- 35:27Speaker 3: I couldn't really put a finger on it. But he
- 35:28Speaker 3: didn't realize that I was taking an uber pool and
- 35:31Speaker 3: he didn't understand the pool function, so he just kept
- 35:34Speaker 3: he kept getting routed to where the other people were
- 35:36Speaker 3: supposed to go to pick him up, and then he
- 35:39Speaker 3: wouldn't get or he wouldn't get and I'd be like, no,
- 35:42Speaker 3: I'm going he and then it basically, I just it
- 35:44Speaker 3: was not a funny story.
- 35:46Speaker 2: He's a bad uber driver. Sounds like chaos. So yeah,
- 35:49Speaker 2: this is the The magic bullet theory is one big
- 35:53Speaker 2: component of all the JFK conspiracies, as is the grassy
- 35:57Speaker 2: knoll you always hear about the ground, knowl and people
- 36:01Speaker 2: who say there was another shot that's right the grass.
- 36:04Speaker 2: You know.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Dallas's hotest new eatery uh, we got buffalo everything.
- 36:10Speaker 2: They just need to do cool shit at Dealey Plaza
- 36:12Speaker 2: all the time. I wonder if they do.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Dally Plaza would be a good name for like a
- 36:17Speaker 3: like a like a like a like an army surplus store.
- 36:19Speaker 3: That just sells like you know, government destabilization supplies, like, Oh,
- 36:23Speaker 3: I'll get a mylar blanket and some loose ammunition and
- 36:26Speaker 3: Daley Plaza.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Have you ever been to an army surplus store?
- 36:29Speaker 3: Oh those are the coll Yeah, I fucking love the
- 36:33Speaker 3: army surplus stores.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Oh They're so fucking great. It's like sporting goods stores
- 36:37Speaker 2: of war, like I was thinking about like I was.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Yeah, when I fantasy, I was fantasizing about having money,
- 36:42Speaker 3: I I I was. I realized how broke I was
- 36:44Speaker 3: because I was. I was staying with a friend out
- 36:46Speaker 3: on the road, and then I opened up the cabinet.
- 36:48Speaker 3: I was like, Wow, this motherfucker's got all the spices.
- 36:50Speaker 3: If this guy he's Cuman or red pepper or ground
- 36:53Speaker 3: ginger at two in the morning, he is set.
- 36:55Speaker 2: But I was.
- 36:56Speaker 3: I think the first thing I would get into would
- 36:58Speaker 3: probably sadly be doomsday pre you know. I'd be like,
- 37:01Speaker 3: I need to get like a big duffel bag full
- 37:03Speaker 3: of jerky and like some you know, some good, good
- 37:06Speaker 3: thick sucks.
- 37:07Speaker 2: I at least once a week now think I gotta
- 37:10Speaker 2: just buy a bunch of bottled water and just have
- 37:12Speaker 2: it here. Yeah, absolutely, I never do it, like I
- 37:16Speaker 2: have that thought, as if it's the most radical idea,
- 37:19Speaker 2: just buying water and not drinking it, Like I just.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Need as it stands right now, I have a Civil
- 37:26Speaker 3: Wars saber. I got it, a comic book expo, and
- 37:29Speaker 3: a toy crossbow that's actually pretty deadly. I got a
- 37:32Speaker 3: swap meat and Chino, So I figure I'll just uh,
- 37:35Speaker 3: I'll just acquire the rest of the old fashioned way.
- 37:38Speaker 2: I've already got a mohawk I'm cut out for the wasteland. Yeah,
- 37:41Speaker 2: it'll be fine. The grassy knoll, So the grassy Knoll.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Most conspiracy theories pivot around the idea that Oswald wasn't
- 37:48Speaker 2: acting alone and when the president was hit by the
- 37:52Speaker 2: bullet that killed him, the motorcade was passing a grassy
- 37:56Speaker 2: knoll on the north side of Elm Street. What a nightmare?
- 37:59Speaker 2: Am I right? Ay, it's on Elm Street, guys, guy.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Decided, I guess, I guess noel is a better word
- 38:06Speaker 3: for small hill. But I feel like if it wasn't
- 38:09Speaker 3: for that, there's certain words that you don't hear in
- 38:11Speaker 3: context without the other words, and like nol is one
- 38:14Speaker 3: of them.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Works Like I feel like this was Nole's big break.
- 38:17Speaker 3: I feel like if it was for this, it would
- 38:19Speaker 3: just be some shit you'd read in the Hobbit and
- 38:20Speaker 3: be like, what is that?
- 38:21Speaker 1: Oh?
- 38:21Speaker 2: I guess it's like a hill, you know it? Yeah?
- 38:23Speaker 2: Does it have to have stuff on it?
- 38:24Speaker 1: Like?
- 38:24Speaker 2: Does is that?
- 38:25Speaker 1: What?
- 38:25Speaker 2: Can I just come there be a bear noll? Yeah?
- 38:27Speaker 2: Could it be a dirty knoll? Like a dusty knoll?
- 38:30Speaker 2: If there's grass on the noole? Play ball? Hell? Yeah?
- 38:38Speaker 2: So uh yeah. The president was hit by the bullet
- 38:41Speaker 2: that killed him. The motorcade was passing, allegedly the grassy
- 38:44Speaker 2: knoll on the north side of Elm Street. Newspaper photographs
- 38:48Speaker 2: record that shortly after the shooting, police arrested three tramps
- 38:54Speaker 2: found in a railroad car behind the knowle. That is
- 38:57Speaker 2: nineteen sixties as shit.
- 39:00Speaker 3: When I when I hear three tramps, I'm picturing the
- 39:02Speaker 3: robbers from home alone anybody else.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. And that's one of the things that people
- 39:07Speaker 2: point to is the men were actually clean shaven and
- 39:12Speaker 2: well dressed. They had like clean hands, and the speculation
- 39:16Speaker 2: is that they were actually working for the CIA and
- 39:19Speaker 2: were not hobos or tramps.
- 39:21Speaker 3: I do, I do like the idea of like some
- 39:23Speaker 3: fucking like squared off buzz cut, like super like nineteen
- 39:27Speaker 3: sixties hard ass CIA dude being like can I borrow
- 39:31Speaker 3: a quarter? I need to take the bus. I'm homeless,
- 39:36Speaker 3: just trying to act like a like a vagrant.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Yeah, there's like a very specific look to the dudes
- 39:42Speaker 2: on the Grassy Knoll. And when you see it, yeah,
- 39:44Speaker 2: what was the I gotta find you thinking of umbrella
- 39:48Speaker 2: man or no, there's a Chicago Bears coach that just
- 39:54Speaker 2: was the embodiment Mark Tressman. And this guy just has
- 39:59Speaker 2: that not a good picture of him. Yeah, he's got
- 40:01Speaker 2: the hat, he has got that like that buzz cut
- 40:04Speaker 2: in the glasses.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Dude fucking like Bob Haldeman, like Nixon's chief of stash staff.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Hold of it, you know, yeah, Nixon.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Very similar ex chrowns are just realized. Uh, yeah, he's
- 40:15Speaker 2: got just that.
- 40:16Speaker 3: If you want to if you want to picture what
- 40:17Speaker 3: the guy looks like, it's also exactly what my maternal
- 40:20Speaker 3: grandfather looks like.
- 40:21Speaker 2: That's no picture of him. So yeah, the tramps who
- 40:24Speaker 2: are arrested on the Grassy Knoll did not look like tramps.
- 40:27Speaker 3: And there's and then and then they performed a quick
- 40:30Speaker 3: choreographed musical number to much acclaim from the arresting officers,
- 40:33Speaker 3: and we're free.
- 40:34Speaker 2: To go, and there's not much. You don't hear more.
- 40:37Speaker 2: I'm just the tramp. We're nothing but scamps and we're
- 40:41Speaker 2: hanging out on the No, you don't hear much about
- 40:45Speaker 2: them after, like, there's nothing in the official record, there's
- 40:49Speaker 2: nothing to see here.
- 40:53Speaker 3: And he lifts up his hat that's like got the
- 40:55Speaker 3: top of it flaps open, you know, a fucking tuna
- 40:59Speaker 3: skeleton falls out out of it, and he's like tramps.
- 41:03Speaker 2: So that's the Grassy Knoll is. There's a lot of
- 41:06Speaker 2: different theories about who might have been on the grassyn people.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Think it was I think it was Bush forty one, Yeah,
- 41:12Speaker 3: the popular one.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Bush is a really popular pick. There's a great documentary
- 41:16Speaker 2: about the Bushes and the jfk assassination. Oh yeah, Well.
- 41:19Speaker 3: There's also when when Bush forty one speaks at the
- 41:22Speaker 3: gerald Ford funeral, I believe it is he.
- 41:24Speaker 2: He goes a when when John F. Kennedy was gunned
- 41:28Speaker 2: down by a crazed Loan assassin.
- 41:32Speaker 3: And he kind of kind of giggles and everyone's like,
- 41:34Speaker 3: what that's funny?
- 41:36Speaker 2: It was the president. Yeah, that's that's dark. I can't
- 41:42Speaker 2: do Bush forty one. Let's talk about Raphael Cruz.
- 41:45Speaker 3: I gotta get every president down by the end of
- 41:47Speaker 3: I gotta get every twentieth century president.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Impression. Start with Lincoln. Oh.
- 41:52Speaker 3: I used to have a bit about that because I
- 41:53Speaker 3: found out my family lent it. But this is like
- 41:55Speaker 3: my first six months of comedy. I found out my
- 41:57Speaker 3: family like lent money to Andrew Jackson because I'm proud.
- 42:00Speaker 3: I was like looking at it, I'm like, I'm like,
- 42:02Speaker 3: you can see how many mcxspands are in the Civil War,
- 42:04Speaker 3: and it's like, okay, seventeen for the Confederacory and like
- 42:06Speaker 3: four for the Union. I don't love those odds. But yeah,
- 42:10Speaker 3: we had a gunpowder. Sam mcspadden as he was nicknamed,
- 42:13Speaker 3: gave Andrew Jackson a shitload gunpowder during one fight, and
- 42:15Speaker 3: I just like remember like thinking like wishing I could
- 42:18Speaker 3: have this speech, like I'd like to thank the mcpatten
- 42:20Speaker 3: family making this trade of tears possible, and then being
- 42:24Speaker 3: like this may or may not be a good to
- 42:25Speaker 3: Andrew Jackson impression. And that was Connor trying to be
- 42:29Speaker 3: relatable at age eighteen with his stand up.
- 42:33Speaker 2: So let's talk about Rafael Cruise. Let's. During the most
- 42:38Speaker 2: recent presidential campaign, Donald Trump insinuated that Senator Ted Cruz's
- 42:43Speaker 2: father was connected to the assassinations. His comments were based
- 42:47Speaker 2: on a photo in the fucking National Inquirer very legitimate paper,
- 42:53Speaker 2: which the tabloid claim shows Rafael Cruz distributing leaflets with
- 42:57Speaker 2: Oswald just months before he murdered the president. I think
- 43:00Speaker 2: we can agree. Raphael Cruise is a pretty cool name.
- 43:03Speaker 2: It's a fantastic name. That's like a great name for
- 43:06Speaker 2: like a mission impossible villain. Let's see if we can
- 43:08Speaker 2: find this photo. Yeah, I mean if it was in
- 43:12Speaker 2: the National Inquirer. Oh, hey, hey, look at that. Are
- 43:18Speaker 2: we sure these aren't just like mormons? That uh Ted
- 43:20Speaker 2: Cruz's dad handing out leaflets with Lee Harvey Oswald. Oh,
- 43:24Speaker 2: that's it, that's it.
- 43:25Speaker 3: We looked at we looked at a picture that we
- 43:27Speaker 3: didn't realize was a gift, and then it went GIF
- 43:29Speaker 3: on us and we were all, e.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Wow, and it's a gift where a face changes. So
- 43:36Speaker 2: I suppose I suppose that's Rafael Cruz.
- 43:38Speaker 3: Now, yeah, oh, let's see Rafael Cruz in twenty thirteen
- 43:44Speaker 3: up on top right.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I'm buy it. Yeah, yeah, See that's interesting
- 43:49Speaker 2: because that's one of those things because it comes from Trump,
- 43:52Speaker 2: you just immediately write off every single word of it
- 43:55Speaker 2: as nonsense. But yeah, I mean, it's it's interesting that
- 43:59Speaker 2: he was there. It doesn't obviously doesn't mean he killed
- 44:04Speaker 2: President Kennedy. And I think Ted Cruz did come out
- 44:08Speaker 2: I'm pretty much right away and say, yeah, I never
- 44:10Speaker 2: denied that my dad knew Lee Harvey Oswald or I don't.
- 44:15Speaker 3: How fucked up an incestuous? Is American politics really? Like
- 44:18Speaker 3: there's little things like this whole over the goddamn place.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so Trump seized on the story to attack Cruise
- 44:25Speaker 2: because they were This is when Ted Cruz still thought
- 44:28Speaker 2: he had a chance to win. And uh, this is
- 44:30Speaker 2: Trump's quote. I mean, what was he doing? What was
- 44:34Speaker 2: he what was he doing with Oswald? Shortly before the death,
- 44:38Speaker 2: before the shooting, Ted Cruz and the press quickly responded, Now,
- 44:41Speaker 2: let's be clear, this is nuts.
- 44:43Speaker 3: This is now Now, let's be clear, this is nuts.
- 44:45Speaker 3: This is not a reasonable position.
- 44:47Speaker 2: It was just kookie. He was used the fucking word kookie. Yeah.
- 44:51Speaker 3: The worst thing about Ted Cruz all the homophobic the
- 44:56Speaker 3: policy on his you know, legislative wish list. Not withstanding
- 45:00Speaker 3: is that he had player of iPhone games in his
- 45:03Speaker 3: Twitter bio to try to humanize himself.
- 45:06Speaker 2: And I was like, you dilled shit.
- 45:07Speaker 3: The fuck up, I'm gonna give a I don't give
- 45:10Speaker 3: a shit that you'd like angry birds. You'd fucking melting bigot.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Okay. Cruz also said, I guess I should just go
- 45:17Speaker 2: ahead and admit, yes, my dad killed JFK. He is
- 45:19Speaker 2: secretly Elvis, and Jimmy Hoffe is bared in his backyard.
- 45:22Speaker 2: What if all those things are true? Uh, that would
- 45:25Speaker 2: be super super bad for the Elvis estate. Oh yeah.
- 45:29Speaker 3: I went to Graceland and you have to pay to
- 45:31Speaker 3: get in. So I just kind of looked at Gracelands
- 45:32Speaker 3: from the outside and I got a fried chicken across
- 45:35Speaker 3: the street.
- 45:37Speaker 2: It looks like it would be kind of shitty inside.
- 45:39Speaker 2: I mean it's a house from the seventies. Yeah, and
- 45:42Speaker 2: it's like.
- 45:42Speaker 3: I don't know, like how much money, Like, yeah, you're
- 45:44Speaker 3: not gonna you're not gonna be so rich that you
- 45:46Speaker 3: didn't think like too much shag and plaid was a
- 45:48Speaker 3: bad idea.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Yeah, So there's also the CIA is involved. So we're
- 45:55Speaker 2: gonna get into a long list of conspiracies. Well, we
- 45:59Speaker 2: should talk about the Zapruder film first, right, Yeah, that's
- 46:02Speaker 2: probably good. That's the one piece of evidence that kind
- 46:07Speaker 2: of convinces people that someone else was involved. I made.
- 46:10Speaker 3: I made a pretty funny mistake talking conspiracy theories with
- 46:13Speaker 3: someone one time where I was talking. We were talking about
- 46:14Speaker 3: Kennedy and I was like, well, yeah, I mean if
- 46:16Speaker 3: you look at the Patterson footage, and that's actually the
- 46:19Speaker 3: famous tape of Bigfoot.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Where he like turns his head.
- 46:22Speaker 3: So there's a brief moment where this guy who was
- 46:24Speaker 3: having to be talking about a very smart person, which
- 46:26Speaker 3: is a very bad move, and he there's a brief
- 46:28Speaker 3: moment where he thought that I thought that Bigfoot killed JMK.
- 46:33Speaker 3: And he was like, you mean the Zapruder film. I
- 46:34Speaker 3: was like, I do mean the Zapruder film. Yeah, that
- 46:38Speaker 3: fucking the Zamboni footage or whatever. Yeah, shit's wild, dude,
- 46:42Speaker 3: Let's watch it quick. There's no sound. How has no
- 46:45Speaker 3: one ever.
- 46:46Speaker 2: Put oh, well you could put his bullet by the misfits.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Suck suck Suck Jack is suck ra Jack.
- 46:55Speaker 3: He's once that's the throat and then oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 47:02Speaker 2: This is like weird.
- 47:03Speaker 3: It's like this is like the the one like murder
- 47:05Speaker 3: that like probably every ten year old hast seen. Yeah,
- 47:09Speaker 3: probably more now graphic, it's a rough one, indeed. Yeah,
- 47:13Speaker 3: I mean, and then Jackie fucking going to pick up
- 47:15Speaker 3: the fucking pieces of brain on the caw.
- 47:18Speaker 2: It's just the yeah, brutal. So let's watch it again. Yeah,
- 47:23Speaker 2: there's that moment where he passes in front of the
- 47:25Speaker 2: sign and you don't see the first shot, but he's
- 47:29Speaker 2: already clearly very injured there, and then that second shot
- 47:34Speaker 2: just explodes.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Yes, and that sign was actually recently put up to
- 47:38Speaker 3: promote the Cia Flowers emporium. Nothing to see here but
- 47:43Speaker 3: great flower arrangements Call one eight hundred bullshit.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Oh, let's watch the Wars dodfluck dot EEDU for your
- 47:52Speaker 2: discount today. This is this is long, but this is uh.
- 47:56Speaker 2: There's a magic Bullet recreation that you can go watch.
- 47:59Speaker 2: My favorite about the show is watching Connor and Adam
- 48:02Speaker 2: look at YouTube videos. I have no way of seeing
- 48:04Speaker 2: the lineup with the actual discussion. Oh, we can link
- 48:08Speaker 2: to them, they can watch it. But yeah, so if
- 48:11Speaker 2: you've never seen it. Go out and watch the Suppruder film.
- 48:14Speaker 3: Yeah, well yeah, I did you. You still haven't seen
- 48:18Speaker 3: The King's Beach check it out right?
- 48:20Speaker 2: Well, just people tell me about how good the Suppruder
- 48:22Speaker 2: film is, and it's just like I get it. It's
- 48:25Speaker 2: like Rick and Morty. I just don't. You just you don't.
- 48:29Speaker 2: It's been more told to kill the president Morty. This
- 48:32Speaker 2: is bad Morty. Eat, there's another. I do a pretty
- 48:36Speaker 2: good Rick. That was a pretty good Rick. Webba, let
- 48:39Speaker 2: me cee Ia. The Zapruder film was recorded with an
- 48:44Speaker 2: eight millimeter camera by a Dallas dressmaker, an amateur filmmaker.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Abraham's a Pruder. Well, Abraham's a boy's name. This guy
- 48:54Speaker 2: made dresses. Yeah, that's why it's chuckling, because I'm very masculine. Yeah,
- 48:59Speaker 2: and the idea of him being a dressmaker threatens that masculinity,
- 49:03Speaker 2: it does.
- 49:03Speaker 3: Yeah, And I want to lash out with words. I
- 49:06Speaker 3: don't have to confront the feelings dwelling deep within my
- 49:08Speaker 3: own heart.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Precisely, and for.
- 49:10Speaker 3: Those of you in equipped to digest irony in an
- 49:14Speaker 3: audio form, go check out the many photos of me
- 49:16Speaker 3: and Drag available all over the internet or some of
- 49:19Speaker 3: the ones of me kissing dudes.
- 49:20Speaker 2: Those are funny too. The Zapruder film has been, i
- 49:26Speaker 2: would say accurately described as the most important twenty six
- 49:31Speaker 2: seconds of film ever recorded and has become one of
- 49:35Speaker 2: the great cultural icons of our time.
- 49:37Speaker 3: That was until Kim Kardashian leaked the Taylor Swift conversation
- 49:42Speaker 3: about the line about her and Kanye.
- 49:43Speaker 2: What's famous right right now? That is our Zapruter. It
- 49:48Speaker 2: was very recently you surved Zapruter. This is weird. They
- 49:53Speaker 2: showed the Zapruder films of the FBI and a lizard
- 49:55Speaker 2: that they've created to sell lattes. All right, sorry, they
- 50:00Speaker 2: left the original copy with Zapruder and fucking weird move. Yeah,
- 50:04Speaker 2: very weird move. And he in turn gave it to
- 50:06Speaker 2: Life magazine out of respect for the Kennedy family. Give
- 50:10Speaker 2: it to them. Yeah, I got.
- 50:12Speaker 3: I mean, maybe they're like, we don't Supo want this.
- 50:16Speaker 3: It's that kind of a awkward.
- 50:19Speaker 2: It's like catching a five hundredth home run ball and
- 50:21Speaker 2: you don't give it back to the guy who hit
- 50:23Speaker 2: the home run.
- 50:23Speaker 3: That's just a dick move, dude. If I catch a
- 50:25Speaker 3: five hundredth home run ball. You better goddamn believe it's
- 50:28Speaker 3: going up to the highest bidder.
- 50:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I mean, I'll sell it back to the guy.
- 50:31Speaker 3: Oh I'll sell it back to whoever has the most money.
- 50:34Speaker 2: And that is it.
- 50:36Speaker 3: I do not give a hot fuck about baseball. I'm
- 50:40Speaker 3: so Yeah.
- 50:42Speaker 2: They left the original Zapruder film with Zapruder, and the
- 50:48Speaker 2: magazine published like split second stills from it in a
- 50:51Speaker 2: special issue a week after the shooting, but the full
- 50:56Speaker 2: film I never knew this was kept under wraps from
- 50:59Speaker 2: the public for twelve years until Heraldo Rivera showed it
- 51:04Speaker 2: in nineteen seventy five.
- 51:06Speaker 3: I know, it's fucking it's a shame that he got
- 51:08Speaker 3: that scoop, right fucking Herral though, there's a I hate
- 51:12Speaker 3: that guy, but there's a great fucking clip of him
- 51:15Speaker 3: holding an untorn woodstock ticket.
- 51:17Speaker 2: He's holding it up like this and he's like, no,
- 51:19Speaker 2: this is the actual ticket, and then.
- 51:23Speaker 3: He's just and the ticket breaks and then you see
- 51:25Speaker 3: his face behind it and he's just like a.
- 51:29Speaker 2: So the fact that they kept it from the public
- 51:33Speaker 2: just fueled conspiracy theories that the government had something to hide. Yeah,
- 51:38Speaker 2: and despite being one of the most analyzed, watched, and
- 51:41Speaker 2: talked about films of all time. Zappruter, who died in
- 51:44Speaker 2: nineteen seventy, never profited from it himself, which seems morbid
- 51:50Speaker 2: to me that he would expect to. But also, at
- 51:53Speaker 2: the same time, if it's like the key piece of
- 51:56Speaker 2: evidence in one of the biggest investigations of all time.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Maybe yeah, I mean, I I mean, I think it's
- 52:02Speaker 3: kind of cool that he just you know, gave it
- 52:03Speaker 3: to the magazine, didn't like try to fucking hoard out.
- 52:06Speaker 3: Like if I if I cut that five hundred baseball Baseball,
- 52:08Speaker 3: I'd hoard out. But if you know, if I got
- 52:10Speaker 3: you know, footage of you know, whoever getting shot, I'd
- 52:13Speaker 3: probably give that up for free. But in nineteen nine
- 52:17Speaker 3: they almost wonder if they like sequested it for twelve
- 52:19Speaker 3: years to like all right, let's wait till people stop
- 52:21Speaker 3: giving a shit about this.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that did not happen. In nineteen ninety nine, the
- 52:26Speaker 2: government agreed to pay the Appruder family sixteen million dollars
- 52:30Speaker 2: to preserve the film in the National Archives. So we
- 52:36Speaker 2: should should we pause? There were it right around an hour? Okay?
- 52:40Speaker 2: Should we should we wrap this one up? Yeah? Yeah?
- 52:43Speaker 2: Uh so yeah, this is gonna be, like we said,
- 52:45Speaker 2: a two part episode. So we're gonna pause here and
- 52:49Speaker 2: by pause I mean end for a week, and then
- 52:52Speaker 2: you'll come back next week and we'll come back. So
- 52:55Speaker 2: we're gonna continue this next week. We're gonna talk about
- 52:58Speaker 2: some of the uh, some of the weirder JFK conspiracies.
- 53:03Speaker 3: Yeah, ano that you guys have got a lot of
- 53:05Speaker 3: your general ed out of the way.
- 53:07Speaker 2: So yeah, so next week, that's the we have just
- 53:09Speaker 2: given you the history of the JFK assassination. We're gonna
- 53:13Speaker 2: come back next week talk about some of the theories
- 53:16Speaker 2: and I think talk about the two that we believe
- 53:19Speaker 2: the most. Yeah, because this is one of those conspiracy
- 53:23Speaker 2: theories that is not unbelievable at all. And the actual
- 53:29Speaker 2: crime itself is such like if it happened the way
- 53:32Speaker 2: they say it happened, it's such a feat oh yeah,
- 53:35Speaker 2: so amazingly like impressive, like if it was just Lee
- 53:40Speaker 2: Harvey all as well. This is the moon landing of
- 53:42Speaker 2: being a piece of shit. Yeah, so all right, let's uh,
- 53:46Speaker 2: let's wrap it up. This is going up next week.
- 53:48Speaker 2: What do we have to plug? There's a live podcast
- 53:52Speaker 2: October twenty eighth at the Hollywood Hotel. Come to that.
- 53:55Speaker 3: You're goddamn right there is Me and Keith Carry will
- 53:58Speaker 3: be on there. I listened to me and Keith on
- 53:59Speaker 3: the Mean Boys pot Cast. Edit that out, Brett, I
- 54:01Speaker 3: did it for you. Save you a trip. Minneapolis, fucking people.

- 54:09Speaker 3: I actually vandalized an unpop sticker there with a hashtag
- 54:13Speaker 3: team Connor.
- 54:14Speaker 2: Oh, I agree to that sticker over some other piece
- 54:17Speaker 2: of shits podcast sticker. Oh dude, I love that.
- 54:19Speaker 3: This is just I'll come back and put some mean
- 54:21Speaker 3: boy stickers over that and we can just until it's
