- 0:06Here's your host, Alex Garry. It's a weekend unlike any other, and
- 0:16around this time of year, when we are looking and remembering September eleven,
- 0:25a lot of us will be in New York City to commemorate and remember those
- 0:30lives lost in those horrific terror attacks, and someone will be in Alaska.
- 0:36Why President Biden chose Alaska of all places to be on September eleventh is beyond
- 0:45me. Now. I understand if you've listened to the soundtrack or gone as
- 0:50he come from Away. Alaska played a role in the nine to eleven efforts,
- 0:58believe it or not flying to having planes flying to Alaska and actually being
- 1:07a shelter for those on nine to eleven. But for the President the United
- 1:14States to not be anywhere near any of the three sites is kind of disgusting
- 1:22to me, as it should be to you. And I've been reading about
- 1:26this the last few days. He's in Vietnam now, and I guess he's
- 1:30trying to get them to help us out and have an Americans want to have
- 1:37an alternative to Chinese business affiliation to American CEOs. But we can put all
- 1:42that aside and say the president of the United States should be in America,
- 1:51and of course Alaska isn't America, but I mean in one of the three
- 1:57sites. At one of the three sites, two commemorate the day. And
- 2:06this whole idea, by the way that curriculum is changing and the what nine
- 2:15to eleven men, to those who experienced it went through, it is changing
- 2:20for generations after us is disgusting to me. We shouldn't be changing the narrative
- 2:24of nine to eleven in any way, shape or form. Just shouldn't be.
- 2:36Generations after us should know that we were attacked on nine to eleven.
- 2:40None of this inside job boat crap that I feel like they're being fed,
- 2:46they're being told that you know, bombs were placed. The whole conspiracy thing
- 2:53drives me nuts because it lowers what actually happened. It less than the impact,
- 3:01if you will, of what actually happened. Whifter we were attacked,
- 3:05we were attacked, and the moment we actually can teach our kids that we
- 3:10were attacked, that is a start of healing, if you will. Also,
- 3:19the whole idea of giving plea deals. The whole way we went out
- 3:22of Iraq of Afghanis say, rather gup punches to nine to eleven families and
- 3:30those who served in the military after nine to eleven. The last three years
- 3:36have been just a gup punch open wound that this Biden administration doesn't want to
- 3:43heal so much to the point that our damn present is in Alaska. That's
- 3:47tomorrow and not in one of the three sites. If it is, welcome
- 3:53to New York. Okay, but at least go to the Pentagon. You're
- 4:00right there. Instead, you're stopping in Alaska. That's BS. That's BS,
- 4:08Mr President, And I want to tell you on the adapting feature.
- 4:15By the way, I do have an eyewitness account of ten eleven from the
- 4:20perspective of doctor Jim Moran, who was in the Pentagon the day of the
- 4:28horrific attack, and I wanted to play that for you right now on One
- 4:31Leg Up with Alex Garrett. Just an excerpt of my conversation with doctor Jean
- 4:38Moran. So you were there, can you bring us back to that day?
- 4:43I mean, I know it's a bit probably ptsc to recall it,
- 4:46but being the Pentagon on that day, what do you recall? I was
- 4:51working in what's known as the Joint Operations Division, which is a gathering of
- 4:58experts from around the military. So I was alongside Air Force, Army,
- 5:02Marine Corps people that had specialties with specific weapons systems. They are congregated there
- 5:10for a reason, so that they're accessible to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs
- 5:14and the Joint Chiefs themselves in times of need and for planning purposes. So
- 5:19I was a post ship command commander. I was a senior officer on the
- 5:27lower end of being a senior officers as a commander, but I had had
- 5:30command of a destroyer prior to that. I was the Tomahawk missile expert in
- 5:34the room. We saw on TV the twin Towers, and we're just utterly
- 5:43surprised by that. Part of what happens in the joint arena in the in
- 5:49the operations world is there is a national military command center in the Pentagon,
- 5:55and then each service has their own command center, but they all communicate.
- 6:00We were we knew obviously something was up, we didn't know what was up,
- 6:04and then there was a very subtle shift in our chairs on our side
- 6:13of the Pentagon, where we had no idea that a plane had crashed into
- 6:16the Pentagon until we were told to evacuate and for those that don't know,
- 6:23there are about thirty thousand people that work in the Pentagon every day, and
- 6:28periodically they would conduct a fire drill to make sure that we knew how to
- 6:32evacuate the building. And we executed that sort of evacuation to the safe side
- 6:41of the building. And that was just a flight of our overall conversation.
- 6:47But oh my gosh, a eyewitness account at the Pentagon, and we should
- 6:55never forget. President Biden has semily forgotten with his actions in Afghanistan why we
- 7:02were there in the first place, seemingly forgot nine to eleven by entertaining the
- 7:12idea of plea deals for the masterminds of September eleventh. That's not one leg
- 7:19up on healing from nine to eleven. No, No, what that is
- 7:24is cowardness. It's listening to a certain sector that doesn't believe in filling up
- 7:30our jail cells anymore. Well, these masterminds don't deserve any kind of deal,
- 7:40any kind of deal, and I really hope that the bid nutrition and
- 7:46Joe Biden himself can come to that realization if he's able to. But this
- 7:55weekend, we have to have one leg up on healing and we can never
- 7:59ever fully heal twenty two years later, but we can take actions to help
- 8:07families heal by maybe putting the masterminds in jail, by maybe a day President
- 8:15United States being in one of the three sites and unfortunately or fortunately preserving what
- 8:24happened that day, by having folks like doctor j Moran on various platforms,
- 8:28on different shows. That's how we can heal. That's how we're going to
- 8:33one leg up on healing when it comes to September eleven, and so it's
- 8:46one of those days where you say thank you first responded, thank a firefight,
- 8:50aga policeman for what they do every day, because what they do every
- 8:56day was clearly exemplified on September eleven. And this year I hope to go
- 9:00to the tunnels Towers five K and honor to the firefighters and run with the
- 9:05firefighters in the late September. I gotta see how we're gonna hook that up,
- 9:09as Frank Stiller always does a great job. And not just because I
- 9:13work in the radio world with Joe Piscabo and those who partner with tonne of
- 9:18Towers, but because I genuinely want to go run and experience that day of
- 9:26the tunnel towers five K. I'd love to be there for that, so
- 9:28I'll keep you posted. But for now, I'm Alexander Garrett. We never
- 9:33forget, but now we have a one leg up on healing, and we
- 9:39need an administration that will do everything in its power to help us heal twenty
- 9:46two years later. For the good of New York City, for the good
- 9:50of Shanks pop Insima, for the good of those in the Pentagon, for
- 9:58the good of those like Rudy Julianni and Bernie Carrick who were heroes during that
- 10:05time. Just help us heal, President Biden. Don't make it any more
- 10:13complicated or worse for those families that continue to see identify identities of lost loved
- 10:22ones. And let's not fill our kids with conspiracy theories. That's the other
- 10:28way we can heal from nine heal when it comes to September, Eland football
- 10:35is going to be a great distraction, for sure. They'll honor them,
- 10:39for sure, But ultimately it's the policy and decision making that I think need
- 10:46to be shaped up and the actual teaching of what happened to our kids that'll
- 10:52bring us one leg up on healing from September Eland, God bless you,
- 11:01and of course God bless America.
