• 0:09
  [SPEAKER_03]: Good morning.
• 0:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Why you got a big smile like that?
• 0:16
[SPEAKER_02]: Something we're recording in the AMU guys.
• 0:19
  [SPEAKER_02]: Something we're recording.
• 0:20
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what AM sounds for it to be honest, but something about recording in the morning.
• 0:24
  [SPEAKER_00]: Feels good.
• 0:25
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's different.
• 0:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, it does.
• 0:26
  [SPEAKER_02]: I feel energized.
• 0:28
[SPEAKER_02]: I slept hell of good.
• 0:29
[SPEAKER_02]: We're still on that European time.
• 0:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 0:31
  [SPEAKER_02]: That's sort.
• 0:32
[SPEAKER_02]: So we're trying to keep that going.
• 0:34
  [SPEAKER_02]: I had a good coffee.
• 0:35
  [SPEAKER_02]: I had a good breakfast.
• 0:37
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm ready to pot.
• 0:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: What did you have?
• 0:38
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you have for breakfast?
• 0:39
[SPEAKER_02]: I have what I have every every single day.
• 0:41
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm good with breakfast, honestly, being the same.
• 0:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I think our breakfast is pretty much the same every morning.
• 0:47
[SPEAKER_02]: It's been the same this entire year.
• 0:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Hard-boiled egg sausage, which I actually put you on the hard-boiled egg.
• 0:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you did put me on it, but I think it's better than you.
• 0:56
[SPEAKER_00]: You were a scrambled scrambled egg.
• 1:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Which is annoying because one you can't like prep it ahead of time You can like boil a bunch of eggs and just put them in the fridge to have for like the next couple days But remember those you got to make them fresh every day Because I think they use it to wash the pan But not only that, but if you make them scrambled eggs, you're using oil You're using and like all the things that are not the greatest for you I mean I use butter, but regardless, that's not really the same It's not really why I feel like... Hardball leg is just a healthier
• 1:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, how cool are those for the health use you can get with just eating the egg by itself?
• 1:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I do love the good scrambled eggs.
• 1:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but all the scrambled eggs.
• 1:34
[SPEAKER_02]: I ain't got sound for that, especially because I need to cook the sausage, so then I'm getting two pans dirty by making sausage and scrambled eggs.
• 1:41
[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, we'd be having hard boiled eggs, these like chicken, like...
• 1:47
[SPEAKER_02]: sausages that are quite, you know, high in protein.
• 1:51
  [SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of fat.
• 1:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: They're really good.
• 1:53
  [SPEAKER_02]: They're called bilind skis.
• 1:54
[SPEAKER_02]: If you find them, they're at Whole Foods.
• 1:57
  [SPEAKER_02]: Have those.
• 1:57
[SPEAKER_02]: And then I have a this like seeded, seeded Danish rye bread that I really like.
• 2:05
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a very thick has a lot of seeds in it.
• 2:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like you haven't found your go to bread.
• 2:10
  [SPEAKER_00]: Because people...
• 2:11
[SPEAKER_00]: It depends what I'm having for people.
• 2:13
[SPEAKER_02]: People have their go to what you're going to.
• 2:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, how am I going to do is the one that we recently began?
• 2:18
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's actually so nasty.
• 2:19
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I just love a good sourdough bread.
• 2:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, sourdough is the way to go.
• 2:22
[SPEAKER_02]: But I do also really enjoy the CD bread.
• 2:26
[SPEAKER_02]: It has like a very nutty seed.
• 2:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Like it gets crunchy and toasty when you put in the...
• 2:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't like bread.
• 2:32
[SPEAKER_00]: If I don't like bread with nuts, some type of peanuts.
• 2:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: I hate that.
• 2:38
[SPEAKER_02]: There's no peanuts in my bread.
• 2:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's no no, but there's breads.
• 2:41
[SPEAKER_02]: I have just like a bunch of seeds in my bread has a bunch of like What are they called like papita seeds which are pumping seeds and Sennflower seeds is so good Wonder bread is the most satisfying to eat, but it is the worst bread you can actually I will say the best bread in the world is Japanese milk bread
• 3:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, nobody knows what that is.
• 3:02
  [SPEAKER_02]: Japanese milk bread.
• 3:03
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like the 7-11 Oh, the super thick one.
• 3:07
[SPEAKER_02]: The super thick fluffy one that you get.
• 3:09
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oliver Japan.
• 3:10
  [SPEAKER_02]: You'll get the exam.
• 3:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: I can finish a whole back.
• 3:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't eat like we're nothing on it.
• 3:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: Just straight up bread.
• 3:16
  [SPEAKER_02]: Because it's just air.
• 3:16
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it's been a long time since we recorded and for some reason this feels like it feels like the first episode of the new season Yeah, and it's really not because we're trying to just end season four so badly, but you know We've just been there's been a lot going on to say the least coming back getting it back into you know life We're about to actually leave again Believe it so we're gonna have plenty of stories ready for you guys to come back to
• 3:45
[SPEAKER_02]: in season five when now we are going to come back.
• 3:49
[SPEAKER_02]: We're still establishing exactly how long of a break.
• 3:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to take.
• 3:53
  [SPEAKER_02]: We definitely need one.
• 3:54
[SPEAKER_02]: We definitely need one for sure, which I think is why it's taking us a bit of time to get this episode out from last week.
• 4:03
[SPEAKER_00]: was from last week because we know that okay so this is obviously the Scotland episode and we don't want to do it when we're like either tired or we want to do it justice.
• 4:12
[SPEAKER_00]: There's so much first to say so much first to what you call it like go over.
• 4:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
• 4:24
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's a good amount, it's a good amount.
• 4:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Because God little was just so different than every place I've ever been to.
• 4:30
[SPEAKER_00]: And we've been the best way.
• 4:32
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 4:32
[SPEAKER_02]: And we have plenty of content rolling out, visuals, all that stuff that you will see after listening through this episode that I think is going to, you know, they always work well together.
• 4:44
[SPEAKER_02]: We really give you a full round of experience to get Yoni's videos, you get my videos, you get the podcast, that's like a whole, it's almost like you came with us.
• 4:51
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and no one I love the most when people commented on your videos or my videos and they say it's so nice to see the visuals of what you guys were talking about on the podcast.
• 5:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I do think like when when you if you do listen to the podcast You get a very different like you get a
• 5:11
[SPEAKER_02]: You get a very specific impression of an experience because usually it's delayed versus like the videos.
• 5:19
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's like an end-the-moment.
• 5:21
[SPEAKER_02]: It's an end-the-moment experience review type of thing, but then having some time after having experience that to get to reflect on it on the podcast, we have different things to say.
• 5:34
[SPEAKER_02]: And also sometimes like there's insider things that happen.
• 5:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, not that you're holding information.
• 5:43
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's just
• 5:44
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just a different approach, the different things.
• 5:46
[SPEAKER_02]: So welcome back to the West just pod.
• 5:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back to the pod.
• 5:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we know how are you doing it.
• 5:52
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we hope that wherever you are, spring is blooming.
• 5:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Spring is bringing for sure in New York.
• 5:58
[SPEAKER_02]: We've been having an amazing couple of days.
• 6:00
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's been sunny, it's been beautiful.
• 6:02
[SPEAKER_02]: You can definitely feel the shift in the air.
• 6:04
  [SPEAKER_02]: There's a bunch of trees blooming.
• 6:08
  [SPEAKER_02]: I'm feeling hopeful.
• 6:09
[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like it's only now that I'm realizing I was quite down in the
• 6:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and also just towards the end of I mean from me personally, I'm not gonna speak for you But towards the end of season four, maybe like the last it's tightening this at the end
• 6:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yes, towards like, maybe the last five or six episode, I don't know if it's a some sort of a like creative burnout that we just because it took because that's why also some of the episodes haven't been coming out on Wednesday, which is the the proper day.
• 6:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So we do a part of just for the inconsistency on that because I feel like when I listen to podcasts I know that on Tuesday this comes out.
• 6:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so But I think it's because of we have so many other things happening.
• 7:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and a podcast and then also 50 episodes is a lot so we know we're getting closer to the end so we just have okay We need to finish and we want to yeah, we want to but we also just don't want to pull like a whatever episode I want to be good.
• 7:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's why sometimes it's like
• 7:14
[SPEAKER_00]: If it's not on Wednesday, it's because we want to do that episode just this snow.
• 7:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Especially when we travel to a place, we feel like we owe it to the experience.
• 7:24
[SPEAKER_02]: And we owe it to the people that are from there that might be listening, that we, you know, we give it a full, a full opportunity to talk about our experience.
• 7:35
[SPEAKER_02]: So let's get into it, right?
• 7:36
[SPEAKER_02]: We went on an eight day trip to Scotland, and we started in Edinburgh.
• 7:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I'm from there.
• 7:53
[SPEAKER_00]: This is probably his laughing right now.
• 7:55
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how you say it.
• 7:56
[SPEAKER_02]: And if you didn't listen to, we put out like this kind of random episode that wasn't even part of our, like, it wasn't, it wasn't out of the episode.
• 8:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was kind of like a random sort of in the moment episode that we recorded while we were in the airport hotel that Dave
• 8:18
[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to just kind of give you a little update of where we're at and I told a story on that episode that you should listen to about how I was having a really hard time understanding somebody with the Scottish accent because I didn't know.
• 8:34
[SPEAKER_00]: but it's not everyone that has that.
• 8:36
[SPEAKER_02]: No, some people is like way stronger than others, but it's just crazy and really embarrassing on my part to have a conversation with someone where we're technically both speaking the same language, but because their accent is so strong, I cannot understand.
• 8:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Because there's, and it's nothing like a British accent.
• 8:57
[SPEAKER_00]: No, but I thought that it was at first before even going there or hearing anybody speak.
• 9:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was just like a British accent.
• 9:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's a British, it was like...
• 9:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's um, I thought it was just even more like deeper.
• 9:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's stronger.
• 9:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and it's totally not.
• 9:13
  [SPEAKER_03]: It's like a whole different thing.
• 9:15
[SPEAKER_03]: It also like a whole different language sometimes.
• 9:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's like, from when we went to the highlands, I feel like more people spoke like that.
• 9:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, compared to the people in Edinburgh.
• 9:26
[SPEAKER_02]: In Edinburgh or in Glasgow.
• 9:29
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 9:30
[SPEAKER_02]: So what were your impressions of Edinburgh?
• 9:37
[SPEAKER_00]: The first thing that I noticed when we, well, first we checked in, right?
• 9:41
[SPEAKER_00]: We checked in and we usually on our first day any time we go anywhere, we just want to take the first days, it's a chill day.
• 9:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: And also walk around.
• 9:48
[SPEAKER_02]: It's important to mention that we took an overnight flight.
• 9:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: Like we arrived.
• 9:53
[SPEAKER_02]: We left New York at night and we flew through the night on a red eye and we arrived in Scotland in the morning.
• 10:02
[SPEAKER_02]: It was like seven a.m. And it was like a Monday.
• 10:04
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 10:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Monday morning people are getting up.
• 10:07
[SPEAKER_00]: It was too easy because it's like, go to work.
• 10:10
[SPEAKER_02]: When we were on the tram to go from the airport into the city, we were into the hotel we were staying.
• 10:20
[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't, I didn't realize because I was so, we didn't really sleep on the flight like at all because it was not very comfortable.
• 10:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Our chairs could not recline because we were in the exit row, which means we had like extra foot space, but we could not lean back at all, so we were, yeah,
• 10:39
[SPEAKER_02]: And when we were on the tram, I don't know why for some reason I was thinking everybody that's on the tram was like on their way home from work.
• 10:48
  [SPEAKER_02]: And then I remember that it's 8 a.m. in the morning.
• 10:52
[SPEAKER_03]: And before on the way to work.
• 10:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: I was so sleepy.
• 10:55
  [SPEAKER_03]: it was crazy.
• 10:56
[SPEAKER_03]: So the first day we were kind of like delusional and sort of.
• 10:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 11:00
[SPEAKER_00]: It was, I mean, also, too, just the chat lag on top of like not being able to sleep.
• 11:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if we slept on the plane, everything would have been just normal.
• 11:08
[SPEAKER_02]: I cannot wait into the day when I get to experience a lay flat seat.
• 11:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, it feels like those things I'm ever gonna sleep like I think if I get to first class first class seats I'm not sleeping.
• 11:20
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sleeping because I would just be like I want to enjoy I'm gonna enjoy everything.
• 11:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna press every button.
• 11:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna watch all the movies I want to eat all the food.
• 11:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I'm asleep.
• 11:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: Can't do that.
• 11:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: She crazy.
• 11:31
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna be right away It's just so crazy getting to late on on a flight Yeah, so yeah, we arrive.
• 11:38
[SPEAKER_02]: We check into our hotel and the first thing we do is we look for some coffee
• 11:44
  [SPEAKER_02]: We went.
• 11:45
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 11:45
[SPEAKER_02]: We went to this map.
• 11:47
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
• 11:47
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 11:48
  [SPEAKER_02]: So we got it.
• 11:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: We were so tired.
• 11:50
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 11:50
[SPEAKER_02]: We got it in the plan.
• 11:51
  [SPEAKER_02]: I like 9 a.m.
• 11:54
  [SPEAKER_02]: I think.
• 11:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was about 9 a.m. and I remember just thinking like, okay, it was, I just needed to lay down because I was so uncomfortable out to night.
• 12:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And also before that night, which, you know, it was the flight was the right eye, but we had a whole day in New York that we just lived.
• 12:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 12:13
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like we would slept during the day when we were packing, getting ready.
• 12:16
[SPEAKER_02]: We basically were awake for two days.
• 12:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 12:20
[SPEAKER_00]: So then we get there and honestly I feel like we, you know, I, you know, watched my face.
• 12:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we basically did our bedtime.
• 12:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 12:28
[SPEAKER_03]: We, we rushed our team.
• 12:30
  [SPEAKER_03]: We watched our face.
• 12:31
[SPEAKER_03]: We changed our pajamas and we got it bed and like slept for three, two or three hours.
• 12:36
[SPEAKER_02]: But the sleep was so heavy.
• 12:40
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 12:40
  [SPEAKER_02]: And like,
• 12:41
[SPEAKER_02]: I've never fought sleep that hard.
• 12:44
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think in my life, trying to get up because we could have kept sleeping until like after noon.
• 12:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 12:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for for sure But we want to take it back on schedule like that's not something you want to do, you know, so we woke up around like like 12 right?
• 13:02
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the best sleep, he was short, but it was so necessary to just tell that my body was like, thank you, Yoni for just But he wanted to show it more, I could tell my body wanted to show it more, it was fighting me to stay in the bed So then when we woke up and then we had to get coffee because that sleep was just lingering in my mind a whole time And I do want to practice like this trip was a work trip
• 13:28
[SPEAKER_02]: in the sense that I was invited to go to Scotland and film two videos for the Scottish Travel Board.
• 13:39
[SPEAKER_02]: So it was fully a work trip where there was a whole itinerary.
• 13:44
[SPEAKER_02]: put together that I collaborated with with the travel board and we had very specific things that we needed to film and it was very different traveling that way because I did definitely feel that pressure of it was the first time that I've ever traveled in this way before like you know when we were in Mexico I you know we created our itinerary and what we wanted to do and I do
• 14:08
[SPEAKER_02]: I do feel like all the travel videos that I've made before, even though it is a trip that we paid for and we wanted to go to that place.
• 14:19
[SPEAKER_02]: It still kind of feels like a work end play at the same time because I've never traveled without filming and creating a video and content out of that trip, which is work.
• 14:31
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 14:31
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's a very different than going at your leisurely pace and feeling like, you know, I can just do whatever.
• 14:40
  [SPEAKER_02]: But you can't.
• 14:42
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a balance between the two, but this trip because it was fully like somebody is hiring me to make these videos.
• 14:48
[SPEAKER_02]: But in my style and my approach, I did feel a little bit of pressure.
• 14:53
[SPEAKER_02]: And because it was the first time doing it, I didn't really know.
• 14:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Do I have to do everything?
• 14:58
[SPEAKER_02]: That is like on the schedule.
• 15:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Can I like change things around?
• 15:02
[SPEAKER_00]: It was like you have to be on time for this thing got to take you know the train for that Which was I was going to ask you do you any time we travel anywhere you usually the person who plans everything Yeah, like you do that 10 or every you know, okay today.
• 15:18
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to go here.
• 15:19
[SPEAKER_00]: You save all the things like if you look at alias map it looks like
• 15:23
[SPEAKER_00]: You came to see the map because there's so many, yeah, exactly like my map, there's nothing on it.
• 15:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so now that we went to Scotland and then everything was kind of like a planned already.
• 15:34
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it was good.
• 15:35
[SPEAKER_00]: How did that feel for you that did you like was it kind of like a relief like I don't have to think about I just got to go and
• 15:42
[SPEAKER_02]: So I would say I really liked the way that it was truly scheduled, sort of, not by the hour, but there were some things that were locked in with the time frame on it.
• 15:54
[SPEAKER_02]: And things and activities and places to eat and stuff like that were sort of mapped out to being the same area.
• 16:03
[SPEAKER_02]: So you don't go from like one part of the city to the other part,
• 16:12
[SPEAKER_02]: And I sort of like created the itinerary.
• 16:16
[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't do it in that way where It would just be much more on the fly and you end up sort of like being stressed out because you have to like figure out how to get from here There and then you're wasting time and whatever So in this case, it was really nice because somebody who like knows these cities and these places made this itinerary for us And it was very efficient in the way that it was made so I definitely kind of want to take that approach to our next
• 16:42
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, trips to be, to just like, you know,
• 16:46
[SPEAKER_02]: make it as efficient as possible.
• 16:50
[SPEAKER_02]: But at the same time, if I was traveling without it being a travel job, the way that Scotland was, if for some reason, you know, we're running late behind schedule or we want to stay in one place longer or we're tired and we want to go back to the hotel for like a little bit, we can do that.
• 17:11
[SPEAKER_01]: We're on our own time.
• 17:13
[SPEAKER_02]: But because this is technically like, you know, somebody is paying for, you know, this content and they have all these like different things covered and they have a specific, you know, requests for the content.
• 17:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Then, then it kind of becomes a whole different ballgame because we, there are many times where I'm not going to lie, we were really, really tired.
• 17:34
[SPEAKER_02]: And we also were juggling working like Yoni put out a one or two podcasts episodes, I can't remember.
• 17:40
[SPEAKER_02]: And then I was working on the Mexico video,
• 17:43
[SPEAKER_02]: While we were on this trip, so like during the day, we're just out and about, you know, making content, filming this, filming that, going here, going there, and then we get home at like 10 p.m. And then we have to get into work mode to try to work for at least like an hour or two.
• 18:01
[SPEAKER_02]: But we ended up working for like four or five hours every night going to put up two or three a.m.
• 18:05
[SPEAKER_02]: and then next day having to wake up at 7 to get to the breakfast place at 8.
• 18:11
[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, it was, it was a vicious cycle.
• 18:13
  [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not gonna lie.
• 18:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Time was flying by so crazy.
• 18:16
[SPEAKER_02]: There was so much that was happening every day.
• 18:18
  [SPEAKER_02]: For eight days straight.
• 18:20
  [SPEAKER_02]: That's fine.
• 18:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's why it feels like anytime you, I mean, just like in life in general, when you're busy and you're doing stuff, it does feel like time just goes by so fast.
• 18:31
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
• 18:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And then each day that we wake up, it just, it always feels like them.
• 18:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I just went a bit.
• 18:37
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
• 18:39
[SPEAKER_00]: But Edinburgh was, you know, I thought it was really interesting how,
• 18:45
[SPEAKER_00]: the city just visually how it looks yeah it's very Gothic yeah as soon as I got there I knew exactly I was just like any photos that I'll be taking in this city will have to be black and white because it just kind of it works yeah also there's not a lot of color the buildings so shooting color wouldn't really make a lot of sense but the buildings were so like the
• 19:07
[SPEAKER_00]: dark and dramatic that I feel like black and white just works the best so I got to use my like a strip.
• 19:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I think more than any other city we've been to.
• 19:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I will say I actually really enjoyed Edinburgh.
• 19:22
  [SPEAKER_02]: I would go back.
• 19:24
  [SPEAKER_02]: I loved
• 19:25
[SPEAKER_02]: sort of the I think it would be a really good place to actually travel solo um then you could go for I don't know like two days I really don't think you need more than that even if you're by yourself or with somebody else we stayed I think for basically three days three days but the first day I felt like I was a zombie so
• 19:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Thursday, I just wanted to sleep.
• 19:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Even after we woke up, I was just like, I can't wait for it tonight.
• 19:53
[SPEAKER_00]: But that night when we slept was the best sleep ever.
• 19:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, this thing.
• 19:57
[SPEAKER_02]: But something about, um... Well, wait, I was going to say that I think traveling solo would be really good in Edinburgh, because it's very easy to get around.
• 20:06
[SPEAKER_02]: You walk around by yourself.
• 20:07
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's super safe.
• 20:10
[SPEAKER_02]: It's, um, it's a really sort of like cozy comforting
• 20:15
[SPEAKER_02]: place that encourages solitude and encourages you to, I don't know, I would have loved.
• 20:21
[SPEAKER_02]: If this was like, you know, if I was traveling on my own time and on my own schedule and stuff like that, I would have loved to, you know, have a book with me and get to, I mean, that's so obvious and expected.
• 20:37
[SPEAKER_02]: And go to like a coffee shop and get myself a coffee and a pastry and just like read for a little bit
• 20:44
[SPEAKER_02]: We had some amazing food.
• 20:46
[SPEAKER_02]: We had some amazing food.
• 20:50
  [SPEAKER_02]: And I really didn't expect it.
• 20:51
[SPEAKER_02]: And I do want to say the food that we had wasn't particularly quote unquote Scottish food.
• 20:59
[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't go to like a pub or anything specific like that.
• 21:02
[SPEAKER_02]: The place that we went to eat again because of the nature of this trip or sort of specific and the place that we went were incredible.
• 21:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Like such good food that I was really surprised.
• 21:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Some food was good, but then also some food like then always hit.
• 21:21
[SPEAKER_02]: In Edinburgh, I feel like everything we had hit.
• 21:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Like the first night we had that really sort of fancy meal where it was like in a dark lace and the guy, you know, we got like champagne in the beginning and then we had all these like different bites and stuff.
• 21:37
[SPEAKER_02]: That place was really good.
• 21:38
  [SPEAKER_02]: It was called Vinette.
• 21:40
[SPEAKER_02]: And then a sister restaurant from that one is noto or noto.
• 21:44
  [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's noto.
• 21:46
[SPEAKER_02]: And that was probably one of my favorite meals.
• 21:48
[SPEAKER_02]: We went there for lunch and it's kind of like a Scottish Japanese
• 21:53
  [SPEAKER_02]: and it was incredible.
• 21:55
[SPEAKER_02]: I highly, highly, highly recommend you go if you're in the city.
• 21:59
[SPEAKER_02]: We had some really good bakery stuff, really good breakfast items.
• 22:06
[SPEAKER_02]: You really do Scottish people really do oatmeal really well, which kind of makes sense because it's like they're
• 22:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I love the croissant though.
• 22:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Any city we go to, I have to get a croissant.
• 22:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, got a good idea to see what, and it was good.
• 22:18
  [SPEAKER_02]: We went.
• 22:19
[SPEAKER_02]: We went to, I'm currently working on editing this video of this bakery that everybody was saying that we should go to called, what is it called?
• 22:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Is it on my, I gotta find the name.
• 22:31
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's like
• 22:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, something like that.
• 22:35
[SPEAKER_00]: The line was so long, but it moves pretty quickly.
• 22:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lannon Lann
• 23:00
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 23:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Like the amount of varieties of food that you get to access to.
• 23:06
[SPEAKER_02]: You have all kinds of food and also like the caliber at which food is made here.
• 23:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody comes here like the competition is so intense.
• 23:15
[SPEAKER_02]: that everybody's trying to one up the other people.
• 23:18
[SPEAKER_02]: So people are really at their master level of execution when it comes to so many different things.
• 23:24
[SPEAKER_02]: So we have some really, really good food here, which I think kind of educates you into a high level of expectation.
• 23:31
[SPEAKER_02]: So what people are telling me, like this place is really good, all that, and everybody online is talking about it, I'm going to have some high expectations.
• 23:37
  [SPEAKER_02]: And...
• 23:39
[SPEAKER_00]: That's why it's so hard to stay open here as a business because it's hard to stay open here.
• 23:44
  [SPEAKER_02]: Because everybody's a critic here too.
• 23:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Nowadays, I a critic, even though I didn't go to culinary school or have no specific background, but being educated in food is not as exclusive as it used to be anymore.
• 23:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Especially now with social media is like if you have an audience, you can you can destroy a restaurant or you can also make a place or make something go viral because you know it's yeah I think it's very different now even it's crazy how social media plates such a big part in the food business as well because now they you know they want influencers to come and talk about their place
• 24:26
[SPEAKER_02]: But not everybody know there are some restaurants.
• 24:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I saw this article of this restaurant talking about how they don't want people to make videos about it because they don't want to make it impossible for people to go to their place.
• 24:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I'll get that perspective too.
• 24:41
[SPEAKER_02]: But back to this bakery, we had a few things.
• 24:44
[SPEAKER_02]: We had a few base goods there.
• 24:46
[SPEAKER_02]: And if you want to check out my video to see exactly what we tried and our impressions are available on YouTube right now.
• 24:55
[SPEAKER_02]: You can check it out.
• 24:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, no, it's like a short video.
• 24:57
  [SPEAKER_02]: And it's not available.
• 24:59
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm assuming this episode is going out today.
• 25:02
  [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
• 25:02
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's the video is not out yet.
• 25:04
[SPEAKER_02]: But I will say that whenever we go to a bakery, we always got to try the plain croissant because that's kind of the the baseline of a bakery like to really get a gauge of of what you think of the bakery.
• 25:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I think like you got to master your
• 25:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I don't think that's always fair.
• 25:25
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, croissant could be I think it's a preference thing.
• 25:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: I preference thing.
• 25:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I love I don't love croissants that are like two airy Like them to be have obviously some some space, but I don't want to bite into it and it's like
• 25:38
[SPEAKER_02]: flaky, flaky, they can just flake the way.
• 25:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Too much flake is never, never good.
• 25:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you need to have a little bit of that buttery flavor.
• 25:46
[SPEAKER_02]: You need it to be a bit moist, kind of like pliable.
• 25:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Just have a good bite.
• 25:51
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, like this texture to it, kind of it's like gummy a little bit.
• 25:55
[SPEAKER_00]: But then there's some pastures also that are for me just a little bit too much.
• 25:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Like when, when you're adding some cream on top and some strawberries.
• 26:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, when it's kind of like a dessert.
• 26:07
[SPEAKER_00]: This is true, but people eat that for like breakfast, like they get that with their coffee in the morning.
• 26:13
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if somebody would get that.
• 26:14
[SPEAKER_02]: There was like, now that I'm zooming into this photo, there was a bunch of stuff that had like, piped, cream in it, that's a lot.
• 26:21
[SPEAKER_02]: But I will say we didn't try a bunch of stuff because it was just two of us.
• 26:26
[SPEAKER_02]: So you just have to watch the video to see exactly what we tried.
• 26:28
[SPEAKER_02]: But it is definitely a bakery that has some really good things and there were plenty of stuff we didn't get to try that I'm sure was really good.
• 26:36
[SPEAKER_02]: I would just not get the croissant.
• 26:40
  [SPEAKER_00]: from that room.
• 26:41
[SPEAKER_02]: I would not get the croissant.
• 26:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm such a croissant lover that I it's really hard for me to not get a croissant.
• 26:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Not get a croissant and also just really hated or not like it.
• 26:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: I would always enjoy a croissant.
• 26:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, see, I was like variety.
• 26:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I I'm good with like a cardamom bun, you know, I look on my mind.
• 26:58
[SPEAKER_00]: You and your cardamom bun.
• 26:59
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm kind of obsessed or or we have one right here.
• 27:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know where you guys are.
• 27:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: I hate it.
• 27:04
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you finished it.
• 27:07
  [SPEAKER_02]: Um, and what else?
• 27:08
[SPEAKER_02]: And I, we also have to talk about the weather, which the weather was kind of a consistent thing to throughout our trip.
• 27:18
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wish.
• 27:18
[SPEAKER_02]: And it kind of got crazier as we went into the highlands.
• 27:22
[SPEAKER_02]: But I will say it is kind of crazy how much the weather turns one year in Scotland.
• 27:29
  [SPEAKER_02]: Like, especially in
• 27:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't see the sun.
• 27:34
[SPEAKER_02]: We saw the sun on the last, on one day, and it's actually the day when I was filming this video was really sunny.
• 27:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's the day we went to the bakery.
• 27:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because of the day before we went to Glasgow.
• 27:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but somehow that during that day, it rained as well.
• 27:47
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's.
• 27:48
[SPEAKER_00]: You have all it rains every day, seem like, but then the sun will come out at some point.
• 27:54
  [SPEAKER_02]: And it's always windy.
• 27:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: It changes so much.
• 27:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I want to know if that kind of makes, because you know how you can get like a headache from whether it changes like that, like I don't know if that's.
• 28:03
[SPEAKER_02]: I think people are probably, probably used to it.
• 28:05
  [SPEAKER_00]: Like used to it.
• 28:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: I found my favorite.
• 28:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a random, it was a random vintage shop.
• 28:10
[SPEAKER_00]: We went into, we just called again.
• 28:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: I want to see.
• 28:12
[SPEAKER_02]: It was called something, something.
• 28:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, what were we doing?
• 28:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Because we were walking around.
• 28:19
[SPEAKER_02]: We went to this specific viewpoint of the Edinburgh castle.
• 28:23
[SPEAKER_02]: And we were in this kind of like central area that has a bunch of pubs.
• 28:29
[SPEAKER_02]: There's this one pub that's called like Mary something.
• 28:33
[SPEAKER_02]: And we learned that that pub is actually named after a woman who was hung.
• 28:38
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you say hung or hanged.
• 28:42
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and she survived.
• 28:46
[SPEAKER_02]: It was a specific story.
• 28:47
[SPEAKER_02]: We did this like a ghost bus tour, which was really interesting.
• 28:51
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my goodness.
• 28:52
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they were telling us we were basically driving around the city and they were telling us ghost stories that kind of happened to be actually somewhat true about various things, whether it was like a specific building or restaurant or an area and it was cool because you got to see a lot of the city in the like evening afternoon
• 29:16
[SPEAKER_02]: on to that like the all the stories about various stuff like how where the edible castle is, there's this really beautiful like Prince Gardens where apparently that was where a lot of people back in the day would throw their poop
• 29:33
  [SPEAKER_01]: Go, yeah, yeah.
• 29:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Because they, I guess, didn't have, like, sewage or toilets or plumbing or whatever.
• 29:38
[SPEAKER_02]: So that's why those gardens now are so green because the land is so fertilized.
• 29:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that was an interesting ride for sure.
• 29:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was such a character.
• 29:49
[SPEAKER_00]: The poster is a character.
• 29:51
[SPEAKER_00]: But the name of the vintage store that we went to is Armstrong and son.
• 29:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay, I think there's a few locations, but the one we went was like a central location.
• 30:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I don't know what made me go into it.
• 30:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you wanted to go.
• 30:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I had to save.
• 30:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you had to save.
• 30:07
[SPEAKER_02]: So when we're walking around, I said, like, let's go, you know, we have to check out a vintage shop in Eps.
• 30:13
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we have to.
• 30:14
[SPEAKER_00]: It was pretty big, but I was so surprised by the selection they had for black leather jackets and I found the perfect leather jacket.
• 30:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you have been looking for one, but I think another jacket is like very specific.
• 30:28
[SPEAKER_00]: But in New York, I couldn't find, I feel like they're all taken because everybody, you know, but they had, as soon as I walked in, they had the bigger sizes and they had a small sizes at the bottom and the first one I picked up was the one I ended up getting.
• 30:42
[SPEAKER_02]: It was meant to be, and it was, I'm really glad you got this one because it has enough character where it doesn't feel like it's a jacket you already have, just in leather.
• 30:55
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's like a proper leather jacket.
• 30:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Because the other one was a leather jacket, but it was like a bomber leather.
• 31:00
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 31:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Like a bomber shape, a bomber jacket shape.
• 31:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 31:03
[SPEAKER_02]: Would you already have a bomber jacket?
• 31:05
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I do.
• 31:06
[SPEAKER_00]: But this one has the only thing, I mean, I do like
• 31:10
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it's too much no.
• 31:13
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it looks so good like the other day when you were wearing it What we went outside and it just like it looks so good on you and it feels That's what I'm saying.
• 31:22
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a proper leather jacket like it gives you that edge that a leather jacket is meant to do No, it's really good.
• 31:28
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not it's not a like Piece of clothing that is made into leather.
• 31:33
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's really like no.
• 31:35
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying like it's not another it's like a leather jacket style
• 31:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I get I get that is in leather versus it's not like a hoodie made into leather.
• 31:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know what I mean Yeah, I didn't end up getting anything at that shop unfortunately, but it was it was a really cool Yeah, surprisingly it's a presently good and if you only got something it's almost as if I got something but that's the only thing I got What what do you call the people who play the air?
• 32:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's like What are you called?
• 32:07
[SPEAKER_04]: We saw we saw yeah, it's a bagpipe
• 32:10
  [SPEAKER_00]: bagpipe.
• 32:11
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the first time in my life I've actually seen one in real life.
• 32:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he was just out there in the on the royal mile playing.
• 32:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder, I wonder if you can hear this.
• 32:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to play what we heard.
• 32:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
• 32:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oops, let's see.
• 32:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
• 32:35
[SPEAKER_00]: That's all I have for you guys.
• 32:37
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think everybody knows what a bagpipe sounds like.
• 32:40
[SPEAKER_02]: But it was so such a classic moment to be walking on the royal mile, which is like this really long street with a bunch of different shops and stuff.
• 32:49
[SPEAKER_02]: And then have this guy come out of a, what looked like a church or something and start playing.
• 32:54
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was perfect, that's like when I think about Scotland, and that's what I...
• 33:00
  [SPEAKER_02]: It works so well.
• 33:01
  [SPEAKER_02]: Like that was filming.
• 33:02
[SPEAKER_02]: It works so well with the vibe.
• 33:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was filming that day, I remember, and I still haven't looked at the footage yet, but I know this is like the background, like it's going to give the video the perfect, like, essence.
• 33:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I also have some very specific songs, like music saved for my videos, that I think is going to work really well, especially when we go into the highlands.
• 33:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, um, okay, so we would are in Edinburgh.
• 33:28
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think like what are some other Like do we have any other like stories like what are we in Edinburgh?
• 33:34
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah
• 33:35
[SPEAKER_00]: No, we just walked around a lot, and I just remember just thinking how this is, it's very different than anywhere around open.
• 33:42
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's so Harry Potter.
• 33:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 33:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we went to the Johnny Walker.
• 33:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we went to the Johnny Walker whiskey experience.
• 33:49
[SPEAKER_00]: And listen, we're not big drinkers anymore.
• 33:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I am not, I don't even like whiskey, let me just be honest.
• 33:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't like whiskey, so we went and that was part of the artillery that we had the experience in the place like you know It was cool you about it and stuff.
• 34:05
[SPEAKER_02]: It was cool, but when it came to the whiskey part where we're actually drinking the drinks
• 34:11
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how people are like, not chugging, but drinking like a whiskey soda, like a hybal.
• 34:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's not nothing.
• 34:19
  [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
• 34:20
[SPEAKER_00]: But it was like earlier in the day too, like midday.
• 34:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was like 11 am.
• 34:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I'm not built for that.
• 34:27
[SPEAKER_00]: But I know culturally that's very normal for, you know, certain people.
• 34:30
  [SPEAKER_02]: And it was this.
• 34:31
[SPEAKER_02]: gotch is like part of the Scottish identity.
• 34:35
  [SPEAKER_02]: Like it's a huge, huge thing.
• 34:38
[SPEAKER_02]: And when we went to the islands, we actually got to go to another, not to skip ahead, but to another actual proper distillery called taliscar distillery for the taliscar scotch.
• 34:51
[SPEAKER_02]: And that one was, I would say, even a better experience because we got to actually go into the distillery to see
• 34:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Like the factory of where they're making scotch and taking us through all the different rooms of all the different, you know, steps of like washing the grains and then fermenting them and then You know all this different stuff and it was very cool.
• 35:14
[SPEAKER_02]: I really that was the first time that I've ever been in any sort of factory and for somebody who like loves food and food products and consumption products.
• 35:23
  [SPEAKER_02]: I Really enjoyed
• 35:24
[SPEAKER_02]: getting to see like the behind the scenes with that.
• 35:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Even if it's whiskey and it's something that I don't particularly take part in, it was quite cool.
• 35:31
[SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting to just see how how it's made and like the process from the very beginning and to like the the final bottle.
• 35:40
[SPEAKER_02]: And then from Edinburgh, are we done with that?
• 35:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, thank we.
• 35:45
[SPEAKER_02]: We took a train to Glasgow.
• 35:48
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you say, like, that I haven't heard anyone say?
• 35:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Because I heard people say it like Glasgow.
• 35:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, really?
• 35:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: Glasgow.
• 35:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I thought that's just, you just decided to say it like that.
• 35:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: No.
• 35:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
• 35:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not like that.
• 35:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Glasgow was, I mean, we were only there for that day.
• 36:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, so we traveled from Edinburgh to Glasgow.
• 36:04
[SPEAKER_02]: We were there for most of the day.
• 36:07
[SPEAKER_02]: And then we left the next day and drove up to the Highlands.
• 36:10
[SPEAKER_02]: So we only kind of had like a half day sort of there.
• 36:13
[SPEAKER_00]: What was the restaurant we went to?
• 36:18
[SPEAKER_02]: bakery, what would it be?
• 36:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, as soon as we got there, we went to this.
• 36:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we checked in to our hotel.
• 36:24
  [SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
• 36:25
[SPEAKER_00]: And we wore those people with the suitcases in the streets that the spray like one of the things, the alia hates the most.
• 36:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: That was us.
• 36:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Being that person with the loud suitcases.
• 36:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't mind that at all.
• 36:37
[SPEAKER_02]: I, this is something so embarrassing about it.
• 36:39
[SPEAKER_02]: I get the thing about myself.
• 36:41
[SPEAKER_02]: When I'm like walking with the suitcases for longer than five minutes.
• 36:48
[SPEAKER_02]: I just feel like it's like, why did you, like, why did you not take the car?
• 36:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Because it's walking distance.
• 36:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember to take the car for two bucks?
• 36:59
  [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know something about it.
• 37:00
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just cringe to me.
• 37:01
[SPEAKER_02]: But when it went to Glasgow, I don't know what bakery you're talking about because we went and got fish and chips.
• 37:07
[SPEAKER_00]: No, but there was this place where...
• 37:10
[SPEAKER_02]: We took the train, we got out of the train.
• 37:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Because we took the car, right?
• 37:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Because we rented the car from Glasgow, right?
• 37:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but that's the next day.
• 37:19
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking about Glasgow when we took the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow.
• 37:23
[SPEAKER_02]: We got there, we checked into our hotel.
• 37:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that was the next day.
• 37:26
[SPEAKER_02]: And then we got some fish and chips, which the fish was really good.
• 37:31
[SPEAKER_02]: The chips were kind of...
• 37:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, um, we also like got curry on the fries, which are which in which they call chips.
• 37:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I'm going to do it again.
• 37:43
  [SPEAKER_02]: What?
• 37:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I love curry on.
• 37:45
[SPEAKER_02]: It was just something that I feel like we need to try one over there because it's something that they do.
• 37:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 37:50
[SPEAKER_00]: For that day specifically, I don't remember what else we did.
• 37:53
  [SPEAKER_02]: I do remember that.
• 37:55
[SPEAKER_02]: We went to the big cemetery.
• 37:58
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the same day.
• 37:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 38:00
[SPEAKER_00]: We did a lot every day.
• 38:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I wish when we went there, what is it called?
• 38:05
  [SPEAKER_02]: than the crappellus?
• 38:06
[SPEAKER_00]: The crappellus, it was a very beautiful day, but I was like, yeah, I wish she was just gloomy, not rainy, but just for the photos, I needed the vibe to match the image.
• 38:19
[SPEAKER_00]: But it was so, I've never been to, well, I've never been to a cemetery.
• 38:23
[SPEAKER_00]: This is literally the second time I've ever been to work.
• 38:25
[SPEAKER_02]: But this is like a big cemetery.
• 38:28
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's also, it's not like a recent cemetery.
• 38:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody who's buried there has been buried there since like the 1800s.
• 38:35
  [SPEAKER_02]: 1700.
• 38:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think the, I think the,
• 38:40
[SPEAKER_02]: the oldest we saw with somebody that was born in like 16 something.
• 38:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, we couldn't find 16.
• 38:46
  [SPEAKER_02]: That was born.
• 38:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: 17 was the most.
• 38:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, 17 was the most.
• 38:49
[SPEAKER_00]: We were looking for a 16, but it was.
• 38:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 38:51
[SPEAKER_02]: So, and some people had some insanely, like, large monuments and all that stuff.
• 38:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder, I wonder, because right now, to have a big, what do you call it?
• 39:01
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a,
• 39:02
  [SPEAKER_02]: a gravestone?
• 39:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 39:04
[SPEAKER_00]: So to have it that size these days, you're going to pay $1,000.
• 39:09
[SPEAKER_02]: I also think nobody really does that anymore.
• 39:12
[SPEAKER_02]: To have it that size, I think you have to like also be someone very specific.
• 39:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, over here, you get a little rock and then How old are you if you even choose to like do all that but I mean that's extra Um, Yoni, can you tell me what it was about this place that made you want to leave?
• 39:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, because I was enjoying walking around or something very kind of I would say peaceful and nice about walking around a cemetery because
• 39:41
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, architecture really is like very interesting.
• 39:44
[SPEAKER_02]: There's a bunch of different sort of stones and stuff like that and didn't you have the perfectly cut grass and it was very green and the sky was blue like it was really nice.
• 39:53
[SPEAKER_00]: It was really beautiful, like visually I, you know, it was it was alright, but I just don't.
• 40:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I just get sat around these stuff like that because
• 40:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, this is a place where people come and they, because not everything was from the 70s or 1800s, you know, there were some people who were just recently buried there.
• 40:15
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, there was a few, there wasn't a lot.
• 40:17
[SPEAKER_02]: And we mean, we saw like two, there were like two thousand, something.
• 40:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like there's like another area of that, because it's, it's a huge, it's a huge area of area.
• 40:28
[SPEAKER_00]: So, but what made me want to leave is,
• 40:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, like, I'm not a, it's not a place.
• 40:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not like happy there.
• 40:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm not walking around, like I'm kind of... Yeah, you're sort of kind of thinking about like death and sort of uncomfortable.
• 40:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, because it's coming for all of us.
• 40:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And, and I was just, I remember specifically thinking about how we are so in the future.
• 40:53
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
• 40:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, they had lives in the 1819-1700s and now I kept, I kept replaying this, not moving my brain, but like, if you fast forward.
• 41:06
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, having many years to 2026, here we are just walking and looking at it.
• 41:12
[SPEAKER_02]: And looking at these people that when they were alive, that was their present like this is our present.
• 41:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I always think about that stuff.
• 41:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's, I don't know.
• 41:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I can't really get into it, but it's...
• 41:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's like, not necessarily a negative thing to face.
• 41:24
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a negative thing, but after like, I don't know, maybe 2015 minutes, I was ready to go.
• 41:30
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's fair.
• 41:31
[SPEAKER_02]: And then we kind of just walked around for the rest of the time, or in Glasgow, it, I would definitely say between the two, I do prefer Edinburgh just because it's a bit more,
• 41:44
[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't have enough time.
• 41:45
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's less of a city.
• 41:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I just think Glasgow is much more of a city that you can tell it has that, you know, sort of city energy and newer buildings.
• 41:55
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's less like storybook.
• 41:57
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 41:57
  [SPEAKER_02]: Like true.
• 41:59
[SPEAKER_00]: We need to talk about this.
• 42:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, yeah, so that that was the next day.
• 42:04
[SPEAKER_02]: So we slept overnight in Glasgow and then we woke up the next day, which was gonna be another travel day where we're renting our car to drive for five hours to the Isle of Sky.
• 42:19
[SPEAKER_02]: But before that, we had this breakfast, which is what Yoni's trying us to get to talk about at this place called Outlier, which is another spot everybody was telling us to go.
• 42:30
[SPEAKER_00]: and so good tell me tell me what you want to tell me so good this so I had a sourdough toast with scrambled eggs with I think a little bit of melted cheese on top and there was also some chili oil too some chili oil but then I don't know how they made this mushroom but it felt like I was eating
• 42:51
[SPEAKER_03]: the best mushroom of all time.
• 42:53
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 42:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Those are specifically oyster mushrooms, I believe.
• 42:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I have to post a photo on our story, on Instagram, so if you're listening to this, go to the Worcestershire podcast IGN, you'll see a photo of that, because that was the most beautiful, the most tasteful breakfast.
• 43:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty salty tasteful tasteful tasteful tastey, yeah.
• 43:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So much I had, it was open-faced.
• 43:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: Usually I don't love open-faced toast,
• 43:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's a little bit messy to eat, but I would say it kind of helped pretty well for a while.
• 43:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I just hate when I take a bite out of one end, duh, the end falls.
• 43:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, or like you take a bite and the food kind of goes to your nose.
• 43:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was really good.
• 43:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: The coffee was great.
• 43:33
[SPEAKER_00]: The croissant was good there.
• 43:35
[SPEAKER_02]: They had a really good, uh, cardamom bun.
• 43:40
[SPEAKER_00]: But it was like, why do you like it so much?
• 43:42
  [SPEAKER_02]: I love it's so freaking good.
• 43:44
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I love that flavor so much.
• 43:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's so fracking.
• 43:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: It don't back came.
• 43:50
[SPEAKER_02]: And this one, I was a little, uh, skeptical about because it was a cardamom bun but made with croissant dough instead of like a brioche dough.
• 43:59
[SPEAKER_00]: and it was fully sugard out.
• 44:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it was really good and I'm glad that it wasn't too dry and very flavorful with the with the cardamom.
• 44:08
[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, it was coffee and I had I had this yogurt bowl with a granola and rhubar.
• 44:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: How was it?
• 44:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like you didn't say anything about it.
• 44:16
  [SPEAKER_02]: It was good.
• 44:16
[SPEAKER_02]: I was just quite full.
• 44:17
  [SPEAKER_02]: We'll be eating.
• 44:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, as we're doing this episode, we're looking at a camera world, we're literally going.
• 44:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: This would remember what?
• 44:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Because we did so much so.
• 44:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay, so I mean, I think we can start talking about the car driving and go to, We go to, yeah, what is the car?
• 44:36
  [SPEAKER_02]: The Highlands.
• 44:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: No.
• 44:38
  [SPEAKER_02]: The market.
• 44:38
  [SPEAKER_02]: At an enterprise?
• 44:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
• 44:40
[SPEAKER_00]: We went to enterprise and picked up the car.
• 44:42
[SPEAKER_00]: For some reason, it took forever to get the car.
• 44:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Like we get there and then later it was like oh yeah we still have to wash the car.
• 44:48
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like and we also got there like later than we were supposed to and somehow the car wasn't ready yet
• 44:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what if we got that all in time, we would have had to wait even more?
• 44:57
[SPEAKER_02]: So we were behind schedule, which kind of foreshadows into the rest of the story.
• 45:03
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 45:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Just being behind schedule overall, we stopped to be picked up the car.
• 45:08
[SPEAKER_02]: How would you say you felt the first time you got on, you got inside the car on the right side of the car?
• 45:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I got to be honest, I was quite nervous, a little bit, because I've never, especially just known that I have to drive this for so long, but for the first time ever, I'm just thinking, do I even know how to turn?
• 45:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Do I even, is like my spatial awareness, like good enough, like, I don't want to hit stuff on the left side, right?
• 45:35
[SPEAKER_02]: And also I just think it's so, it's, I don't know if it necessarily adds dramatic, but it's kind of like trying to write with your left hand.
• 45:45
[SPEAKER_02]: I think, writing with your left hand when you're right handed is harder than maybe driving on the other side of the road.
• 45:50
[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
• 45:51
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm saying it feels so counter natural, counter-intentional.
• 45:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
• 45:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: Not kidding.
• 45:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, it was weird.
• 45:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, if we sit down and the lady tells me, all right, you know, here's everything here, the keys, and then... Press the start.
• 46:04
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just thinking, is the pedal on the left side?
• 46:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Is the brake on the right side?
• 46:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that would have really fucking me out of it.
• 46:10
  [UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
• 46:10
  [SPEAKER_00]: But it wasn't.
• 46:11
[SPEAKER_00]: So I sit in there.
• 46:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is like a underground parking garage.
• 46:14
[SPEAKER_00]: We have to like drive around.
• 46:16
[SPEAKER_00]: So I remember starting the car and just not not doing anything because usually the car kind of goes forward a little bit because of if you driven it like the past hour, it has some momentum left or whatever.
• 46:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: So it's not moving.
• 46:31
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, okay, cool.
• 46:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I had to, you know, like, press the gas.
• 46:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 46:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: So we go.
• 46:36
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was all right.
• 46:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't
• 46:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I definitely was, I was focused the whole time because I'm like, you know, I cannot hit anything I don't want to because then it's going to slow us down.
• 46:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know what, I mean, you never want to get into an accident.
• 46:49
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 46:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 46:49
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't, it doesn't matter what side you drive on.
• 46:51
[SPEAKER_02]: But you're definitely very hyperly aware of what we're doing, what we're going.
• 46:58
[SPEAKER_00]: it was it was the strangest feelings but it was the strangest feeling but I think I did well I got used to it definitely by the second day I was okay but like the first day I was so I was the first day you did the most driving yeah yeah the first day was and we didn't even stop the plan was to stop well we know we did stop when was it that we said we were we were gonna stop we just skipped we had multiple stops we just skipped one to like catch up on the time
• 47:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe that's why like I just remember driving for a minute and yeah, we're just for like three hours straight and the part that I was the most nervous for was the roundabouts.
• 47:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and for some reason maybe I just like manifested it in my brain But I was like the first roundabout.
• 47:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna fuck up in the first one
• 47:47
[SPEAKER_00]: because you're doing everything reverse.
• 47:50
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 47:50
[SPEAKER_00]: So you kind of have to think reverse in a real time when there's other cars around.
• 47:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and also we don't really have a lot of roundabouts in traffic like that here.
• 47:59
[SPEAKER_02]: In the in Europe, you have a lot more roundabouts like off the highway.
• 48:04
[SPEAKER_02]: you know on the highway like this kind of mean like in on the highway you have around about here you have around about if you're like in a residential area which kind of like you don't really need them but you don't have around about that are like full of traffic or you have like stop lights or anything like that so first
• 48:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, we drove, and I would say another thing too driving on that side is just remembering when you're turning it's like, if you're turning to the right, you're turning technically to the other lane, you know, you get to the lane, but like when you're turning to the left, you're staying, you're turning on the side with the, with the, yeah.
• 48:47
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's harder when like actually driving on the freeway is pretty easy because it's already split like you don't have like two, two ways going on the same thing, but in the city it's harder because then you're having to think about like sticking to the left side all the time.
• 49:05
[SPEAKER_02]: And then if you're turning onto a street, then you really have to do the opposite of what you normally would do.
• 49:10
[SPEAKER_02]: So you start looking like which side do I even look?
• 49:12
  [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
• 49:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 49:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Like which side do I look at for what lane?
• 49:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And which side do I look at for to watch out for cars?
• 49:19
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's what I mean.
• 49:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I can look at one side because that's what I'm used to.
• 49:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Just memory muscle, but then a car can fully come from the other side.
• 49:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like just look at both sides, make sure there's no car at all.
• 49:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so we stopped, we stopped halfway.
• 49:32
[SPEAKER_02]: We stopped an hour or no, 20 minutes away out of the city to go to a market to pick up some groceries because the place we're going to stay at in the Isle of Sky had its own kitchen and we're going to cook like breakfast and one or two dinners there.
• 49:46
[SPEAKER_00]: They're fun stopping at that little, but they didn't have much.
• 49:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that store was more cute than actually a store, but we got all we needed and then we just kept driving.
• 49:57
[SPEAKER_02]: But I did because that store didn't have as much stuff as we thought it was going to.
• 50:01
[SPEAKER_02]: We sort of had to improvise and it kind of took me a while to decide like what we should get.
• 50:05
[SPEAKER_02]: So we sort of wasted a little bit of time there and we were basically like two hours to not maybe even three hours behind schedule, which is why we drove after the store for about
• 50:18
[SPEAKER_02]: I want to say two and a half hours until we stopped again and when we stopped we drove all the way to Glencoe which Glencoe is in the highlands and it was our first taste of basically the next part of the adventure and what I would say is probably the most significant and even life changing
• 50:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, part of the trip because we aren't like if you've followed us for a while if you've watched you know our videos and my videos traveling to basically all the places that we have since
• 51:00
[SPEAKER_02]: making, you know, content online and making videos online, when we travel to a new place, we mostly stick to the cities.
• 51:08
[SPEAKER_02]: Like we go to, you know, we went to Japan, we went to Tokyo, we went to Kyoto, we went to Spain, we went to Barcelona, we went to Mayorka, but even in Mayorka,
• 51:17
[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't really, and I really regret this, and it kind of makes me want to go back just to explore this side.
• 51:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's wild to think that we went to my orca, and we didn't do any sort of like hike, or like outdoorsy exploration, and the amount of stuff that I have there in the views that we could have had.
• 51:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't know why we, we just don't think in that way.
• 51:38
[SPEAKER_00]: We have to go off road more.
• 51:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we have to go off-grid as well, I think from now on any time we go anywhere like I would really love to Yes, the city school and we would always love to You know like you have to fly into the city anyways.
• 51:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're going to explore that see the city Look at some vintage shops, maybe to try some local spots you know go get food.
• 52:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we always try to do like
• 52:03
[SPEAKER_00]: a meetup if that's possible but other than that stuff like going to like the mountain or doing some sort of a hike especially yeah it's it's we have to do that because that to me
• 52:19
[SPEAKER_00]: would would be the thing that we would remember the most out of traveling to different places.
• 52:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I also think I also think it's such an such a limited experience to only go to the cities of a place.
• 52:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we miss you.
• 52:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: You're missing a lot.
• 52:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because if I with now knowing what the Highlands are like, if we were to have gotten gone to Scotland and only went to the cities.
• 52:49
[SPEAKER_02]: And didn't like if I meet somebody and they're like, oh, I've been to Scotland before I went to, you know, like, Edinburgh or whatever, I'd be like, keep up with you go to the Highlands.
• 52:58
[SPEAKER_02]: And if they say no, then I'm like, then you didn't really, it almost feels like you didn't really go to Scotland.
• 53:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Honest without even being dramatic.
• 53:04
[SPEAKER_00]: No, honestly, you went to, I mean, you went to Scotland.
• 53:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to say it.
• 53:09
[SPEAKER_02]: But I think after having gone to the highlands and experienced the insane beauty that there is out there, I'm just like, you missed a most beautiful part.
• 53:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, if I would go back to Scotland, I would go back to the highlands and I would explore more of that.
• 53:26
[SPEAKER_02]: I would maybe do like a backpacking trip or I don't know.
• 53:29
[SPEAKER_00]: And we saw so much of it just any time we went from one place to another, just the hour drive or whatever, because anything was really anything with it was not like it was.
• 53:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that is one thing.
• 53:42
[SPEAKER_02]: There is a lot of driving, like doing anything, going anywhere, depending on where you stay, we did stay like quite...
• 53:49
  [SPEAKER_02]: off-grid.
• 53:51
[SPEAKER_02]: When we were on the Isle of Sky, because the place we stayed was really beautiful, but it was like right on the water, on the sweet peninsula.
• 53:59
[SPEAKER_02]: So it was quite far away.
• 54:01
[SPEAKER_02]: If we stayed closer, the driving maybe would have been a bit better timed.
• 54:07
[SPEAKER_02]: So anywhere we drove, we had to drive for like an hour and then another hour to drive.
• 54:11
[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, yes, he was a lot of driving, especially being new to that kind of driving.
• 54:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember it feeling like a lot like
• 54:19
[SPEAKER_03]: and the road to prayer.
• 54:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, today we're going to drive two hours.
• 54:23
[SPEAKER_00]: In my head, I'm like, okay, this is another.
• 54:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Because anytime you complete a long drive, you kind of feel like, oh, okay, we did it.
• 54:29
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
• 54:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's behind me, we're good, we're safe.
• 54:32
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
• 54:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And then just to know that the next time you go in anywhere, you got two hours, so I'm off.
• 54:38
[SPEAKER_02]: On top of that, it's like you add the roads, which are just like, you know, two lanes, one going each direction.
• 54:47
[SPEAKER_02]: And some people, because if you're a local, you're very familiar with the roads, so you're maybe driving faster than somebody who's driving on these roads for the first time.
• 54:59
[SPEAKER_02]: And also the weather changes constantly.
• 55:03
[SPEAKER_02]: So we would go from sunny to windy to then torrential rain.
• 55:08
[SPEAKER_02]: And then in five minutes the rain stops and the sun comes out again.
• 55:11
[SPEAKER_02]: And like you just never really know what it's going to be.
• 55:14
[SPEAKER_02]: And as I said, the first stop we did was Glencoe.
• 55:19
[SPEAKER_02]: And we got to the nice thing about driving to is like, that is, I don't know, 50% of the trip because you get to see insane.
• 55:28
[SPEAKER_00]: scenic views, 60% of the truth.
• 55:30
[SPEAKER_02]: As you're driving, and there's also plenty of places that you can pull over and stop and get out of your car and look at the insane like mountain ranges and vast openings of land that just kind of you just really feel like I could get out of the car and run up this mountain right now.
• 55:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and you really could.
• 55:49
[SPEAKER_02]: Like you could go for a while.
• 55:52
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I just had to.
• 55:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like, you know what?
• 55:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's something you always want to do.
• 55:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Like get out and just run.
• 55:57
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 55:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: Open space.
• 55:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like, okay, you can run up that mountain.
• 56:01
[SPEAKER_00]: And there's nothing that tells you don't go up there.
• 56:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 56:03
[SPEAKER_00]: There's no sign that tell you danger.
• 56:05
  [SPEAKER_00]: You kind of just...
• 56:06
[SPEAKER_02]: have to figure out yourself and you also can go for like quite a while into the obviously you can't go any more because you have to actually climb the mountain but I don't know there's just something so like beautifully human getting to impulsively just get out of the car and like run to this mountain and just because you can and we talk about a big mountain now like a small little cute mountain.
• 56:29
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean they're like mountain hills some of them were like bigger than others.
• 56:35
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I don't know, it was just like, it would take your breath away.
• 56:39
[SPEAKER_02]: You can't believe that you're driving in this in this place.
• 56:42
[SPEAKER_02]: And it was such an interesting color to everything was sort of because it was still coming out of winter to spring.
• 56:48
[SPEAKER_02]: And that everything was green.
• 56:50
[SPEAKER_02]: It kind of had like this yellow green sort of sharp truce color to it.
• 56:55
[SPEAKER_02]: And then do it have this like brown.
• 56:57
[SPEAKER_02]: And then sometimes there was some snow on some of the peaks of the mountains.
• 57:01
[SPEAKER_00]: That's how big you know the mountain was.
• 57:03
[SPEAKER_00]: If you see snow up top, it's pretty high.
• 57:05
[SPEAKER_02]: yeah it was it was gorgeous and then yeah we stopped at that place and then we kept driving kept driving we stopped at another like you there's so many places you can stop and it's really worth like stopping especially because one of the places we stopped around it was like five pm at this point and the sun
• 57:22
[SPEAKER_02]: sets at seven and we still had like three hours left to drive but we stopped at this place because the view is insane and then I don't know where the sun comes out the sun hadn't been out the entire time that we had been driving it was gloomy it was like raining it was wet it was misty
• 57:47
[SPEAKER_02]: And then I don't know where we get out of the car.
• 57:49
[SPEAKER_02]: We're taking photos, video, whatever.
• 57:51
[SPEAKER_02]: And then the sun breaks through the clouds.
• 57:53
[SPEAKER_00]: And he's talking about this moment.
• 57:54
  [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
• 57:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 57:56
[SPEAKER_02]: And it was just like, we had to eat it.
• 57:58
[SPEAKER_02]: We just had to stay there.
• 58:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Felt like I was in a movie.
• 58:02
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 58:03
  [SPEAKER_02]: It was breathtaking.
• 58:04
[SPEAKER_02]: And the air is so f...
• 58:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: That was Glencore.
• 58:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was still Glencore.
• 58:08
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and then we would we would have liked to spend more time there But as I said, it was five o'clock or maybe almost six o'clock and we had to still keep driving three more hours But that point I'm counting by that point.
• 58:22
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm comfortable Yeah, but I still don't like I'm arriving anywhere at night
• 58:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, driving on night and arriving to the place where you're staying at night.
• 58:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Something about it is like, no, the place specifically where we stayed was when we talking about off grid off road, that was some shit that is like there's nothing around.
• 58:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And and the road was a lot of path holes.
• 58:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen bigger path holes in my life.
• 58:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Like your whole car can be in the one path.
• 58:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty much we ended up driving for a while the sun is setting and ends up being really really dark and at that point you don't know exactly Like when you're driving on the road Because this is so remote.
• 59:04
[SPEAKER_02]: There's obviously no street lights So the only light that you have is the light from the car, which is like anything in front of you, but
• 59:13
[SPEAKER_02]: You can't tell if you're like driving by a body of water, are you on the edge of a cliff?
• 59:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that was the first time we were driving to this spot.
• 59:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, is there land around me?
• 59:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Where am I on this?
• 59:25
[SPEAKER_02]: And also the roads are super narrow.
• 59:28
[SPEAKER_02]: There comes a point where you're on a road that is technically,
• 59:32
[SPEAKER_02]: two-way road, like two directions, but it's one lane, so only one car can fit.
• 59:38
[SPEAKER_02]: So you could have a car coming from the other side and one of you has to like pull to the side so that the car goes.
• 59:44
[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of dangerous especially in like areas where cars drive a little faster and sometimes you can't really tell that the road gets more narrow until you right there meeting the other car.
• 1:00:00
[SPEAKER_02]: yeah it was that and then it starts to be super rainy and kind of foggy because of the rain and combine that with driving in the middle of nowhere you don't know where you are there's pot holes everywhere and crazy that you don't know if there's water next to you or a huge mountain
• 1:00:20
  [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
• 1:00:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Like you just didn't know what was around because it was pitch black.
• 1:00:24
[SPEAKER_02]: And then because of the lights, the water with like the lights hitting all of the water coming down, it would be kind of missedy.
• 1:00:32
[SPEAKER_02]: So you can't really see like your visibility is not great.
• 1:00:36
[SPEAKER_02]: And we get to this part where like there were, there was, I don't know what you call it, but like you would go up.
• 1:00:43
[SPEAKER_02]: a hill and then you'll get to like it was kind of like a rollercoaster you know how like if you go up on the roller coaster and write when you're about to like go over the top and then go down there's a point where it looks like you're suspended in the air and there's nothing because you don't know what's
• 1:00:59
  [SPEAKER_02]: what's ahead of you.
• 1:01:00
  [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
• 1:01:01
[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to explain, but there was how did you hate it that I hated that feeling because you're basically going up the this little hill and then when you're like about to continue going forward and tipping the nose over the car forward to continue going down there's nothing like what you see is just the sky and it's just black.
• 1:01:21
[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like if you
• 1:01:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, almost and then you have no idea whether the the the the road is gonna like turn right turn left Is there animal there?
• 1:01:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god you guys that was I was an emotional rag we saw so many sheep I mean, not at night time like doing the day.
• 1:01:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so eventually Yeah, we eventually I only got to the spa We tell the guy to come out and then we have to drive around and you know, we we we we check in
• 1:01:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that wasn't the night that had the crazy storm.
• 1:01:52
[SPEAKER_00]: No, that was the next day.
• 1:01:53
[SPEAKER_00]: It was the next day.
• 1:01:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but we, we get our stuff out of the car, this guy is like walking us to the, it's basically a container house, but it's very, very beautifully, you know, made, um, and we get in there, we get cozy, we make dinner.
• 1:02:08
[SPEAKER_02]: We were, I was really exhausted though, like emotionally, emotions were tested.
• 1:02:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Alia felt like she was driving even though she wasn't.
• 1:02:16
[SPEAKER_02]: I was also on the left side of the car, which is usually where you drive.
• 1:02:19
[SPEAKER_00]: So she's like, so we had like a few snacks that you know, we were just eating in a car and stuff like that, right?
• 1:02:26
[SPEAKER_00]: So she was giving me the snacks because you were driving because I was driving.
• 1:02:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I had to have like a both hands on the steering wheel just locked in.
• 1:02:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:02:34
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it was crazy.
• 1:02:35
[SPEAKER_00]: The whole time I wasn't even looking left or right.
• 1:02:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just looking straight ahead.
• 1:02:39
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
• 1:02:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Which is good because if you start looking left or right, like then the really are so narrow to that you just can easily get off track.
• 1:02:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I'll get so nervous.
• 1:02:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Why are you so nervous?
• 1:02:52
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't look off of the road.
• 1:02:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Even if I'm not driving.
• 1:02:56
[SPEAKER_00]: She wanted to do some work on a computer.
• 1:02:58
[SPEAKER_00]: She couldn't even do that.
• 1:02:59
[SPEAKER_00]: You guys, I was like, I can't look at the screen.
• 1:03:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I have to wash the road.
• 1:03:02
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, you're good.
• 1:03:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Relax.
• 1:03:04
  [SPEAKER_02]: I can't.
• 1:03:04
  [SPEAKER_02]: I can't.
• 1:03:06
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't, I am such a controlling person of the, not of people, but like I'm of situations like I need to feel like I'm in control.
• 1:03:18
[SPEAKER_02]: And, and the roles were just so crazy and especially like when it got, you know, kind of dark and stuff, it's like, it's like, it's like, it may be sturdy max.
• 1:03:28
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's against my nature.
• 1:03:32
[SPEAKER_02]: to if feels like a protective strategy, like I am on the offense, I am constantly guarded.
• 1:03:38
[SPEAKER_02]: No, you were a little off the road.
• 1:03:40
[SPEAKER_00]: She wants to text a few times.
• 1:03:43
[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, oh, I can't even take my time to text and reread it because I feel like I need to watch the road.
• 1:03:48
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
• 1:03:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, do what you got to do and it worked for you, you know, but it's like, you know, you can just sit back, lean back, and I got it.
• 1:03:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm a safe driver.
• 1:03:56
[SPEAKER_02]: What you say for now is, but it's nothing to do with you being a safe driver.
• 1:03:59
  [SPEAKER_02]: It could be
• 1:04:02
[SPEAKER_02]: I felt like I had to look at the road in case there's something, and maybe you don't see it, I tell you about it.
• 1:04:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like there's a left turn, she'll be like, baby, you got to turn left from like, yes, that's the only way.
• 1:04:11
[SPEAKER_02]: There was a few times where you were like, I can't look at the road and look at the map.
• 1:04:16
[SPEAKER_02]: But then I would tell you, okay, we got to turn here and you're like, yeah, I see it.
• 1:04:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Like how am I supposed to know when you do and when you do.
• 1:04:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, and then we were in the Isle of Sky, which if you don't know is basically sort of an island, but it's still connected by land with the rest of the islands.
• 1:04:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Most magical place I've ever been to, I'm just gonna say that.
• 1:04:36
  [SPEAKER_02]: It was so beautiful.
• 1:04:39
[SPEAKER_02]: We did so much stuff.
• 1:04:41
[SPEAKER_02]: We went X throwing, which was really cool, and I beat Yoni like heavy.
• 1:04:50
[SPEAKER_02]: I was really good at X throwing, which was surprising.
• 1:04:53
[SPEAKER_00]: actually was fun like I didn't I didn't know I was going to have like that much fun doing it but it was it was really cool it was at this place called ace target sports right yeah um the guy was so it was it was so funny like I wanted I wanted to hear the because he took my GoPro and he was recording when I was going against Alia
• 1:05:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And he was given like commentary and stuff like that.
• 1:05:15
  [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm really excited.
• 1:05:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna keep all of that.
• 1:05:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm most of it in my videos He got he got really into it, but we did act throwing.
• 1:05:23
[SPEAKER_02]: We what else do we do?
• 1:05:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Act throwing and then we went and got we went to this place where it was for some reason the most expensive Oh, yeah, I went to go eat.
• 1:05:34
[SPEAKER_02]: We went to this restaurant.
• 1:05:35
[SPEAKER_02]: That was just like the worst meal we ever had.
• 1:05:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And they suggested for me to get the iron brew
• 1:05:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, the iron brew.
• 1:05:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I am brew, yeah, which was, it was a familiar taste.
• 1:05:47
[SPEAKER_02]: It was, it, I am brew is basically, I don't know if that's how you say it.
• 1:05:51
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's like the, the, it's like their Coca-Cola, you know, it's like, how like that?
• 1:05:57
[SPEAKER_00]: It was, it was okay.
• 1:05:59
  [UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
• 1:05:59
[SPEAKER_00]: growing up, I used to drink a lot of granodine, which in America people don't know what that is, I don't think, but it's a very in Belgium I had it, so I'm assuming it's like maybe European, maybe some European countries don't have that, but they mentioned granodine.
• 1:06:16
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's some of that in here, which is the taste that I recognized from my child.
• 1:06:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we went to this, you know, the grenadine, we went, we had that drink, what it went to the tea place.
• 1:06:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you know what it meant?
• 1:06:27
[SPEAKER_02]: And they made a cocktail, that was a combination of the, I am brew with grenadine and orange juice or something.
• 1:06:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, true true, I got confused, but it had, anyways, the I am brew, it hasn't blended me up.
• 1:06:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: Bubble gum flavor.
• 1:06:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:06:40
  [SPEAKER_02]: which is a, yeah, I don't know, when I asked, I was in a fantasy state.
• 1:06:43
  [SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't a fan because they just seemed so ultra-processed.
• 1:06:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm like, what is the flavor?
• 1:06:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what's the fruit is made out of?
• 1:06:50
  [SPEAKER_02]: And they're like, I don't think it's fruit.
• 1:06:51
[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, oh, okay.
• 1:06:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like, she couldn't really figure out how to explain it to us.
• 1:06:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like, you know what, let's just try.
• 1:06:57
[SPEAKER_03]: But I guess there's plenty of soda that is not made for fruit.
• 1:07:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but any time we go to any different country, I love to try their, like, drink their Coca-Cola.
• 1:07:09
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 1:07:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Like whenever we went to, I mean Portugal, we had Guadana, Guadana, which actually is resilient.
• 1:07:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So whenever we go to Brazil, I'm going to have Guadana.
• 1:07:22
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to have a good one-on-a every day.
• 1:07:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's so good, but that was cool.
• 1:07:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, what else did we do with it?
• 1:07:29
[SPEAKER_02]: We just like, in the Highlands, we just drove a lot.
• 1:07:33
[SPEAKER_02]: In drove a lot, we had breakfast at a bunch of places.
• 1:07:36
[SPEAKER_02]: We went to Portree, which is like a tiny little town in the Isle sky, very cute.
• 1:07:51
  [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
• 1:07:53
[SPEAKER_02]: You have to watch the video to see like all the details of the specific places but we got to tell you about this hike So we as I said some of the stuff and activities we did in this on this trip It was a collaboration of me, you know, telling them like what I would like to do and where we would like to go But then they finalized it in theory and This specific
• 1:08:18
[SPEAKER_02]: trail, this specific hike that they, you know, said that we should do, when you go on this app called All Trails, which has become my new favorite app because she's in her outdoorsy era, especially not the weather is getting better.
• 1:08:34
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to be outside on the mountain.
• 1:08:36
[SPEAKER_02]: And All Trails is basically an app that has a bunch of trails on it, pretty, it has all the
• 1:08:45
[SPEAKER_02]: Hi, that we were going to go on.
• 1:08:47
  [SPEAKER_02]: It is ranked.
• 1:08:49
  [SPEAKER_02]: There's three rankings.
• 1:08:50
[SPEAKER_02]: It can be easy, moderate, and hard, and this one was ranked as hard, and I've never done a hard trail.
• 1:08:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Only every need done easy trails.
• 1:09:00
  [SPEAKER_00]: Like the easiest.
• 1:09:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so and we are not we're not hikers as you know like we're not people that we're trying to be like now to this trip I'm really trying to be outside And not outside like in central park.
• 1:09:12
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean outside like take a train somewhere and go on like a hike on a Saturday and have sandwiches in my backpack It's like the great type shit That shit like my phone doesn't have service type shit.
• 1:09:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like I'll leave my phone in the car or type shit No, because I'm taking that photo.
• 1:09:26
  [SPEAKER_02]: I'm taking those photos
• 1:09:28
[SPEAKER_02]: And we, and I was like, you know, it's ranked as hard, but... No, you didn't even tell me that.
• 1:09:34
  [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't tell you that, right?
• 1:09:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we just got there and find out in real time.
• 1:09:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but when I looked at the reviews and stuff, like, there was mixed reviews of what we were saying.
• 1:09:43
[SPEAKER_02]: And also when we were going on this hike, like, let me tell you, the weather was beautiful.
• 1:09:46
[SPEAKER_02]: The sun was out, the sun was shining.
• 1:09:48
[SPEAKER_02]: There was no clouds in the sky, but one thing about Scotland is that doesn't mean shit.
• 1:09:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Because the rain is going to come in five minutes.
• 1:09:55
[SPEAKER_00]: It literally doesn't mean anything.
• 1:09:57
  [SPEAKER_02]: literally.
• 1:09:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was crazy.
• 1:09:59
[SPEAKER_02]: So we start going on this hike.
• 1:10:01
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's very beautiful.
• 1:10:02
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's really nice.
• 1:10:04
[SPEAKER_02]: You have this gorgeous view of this body of water right next to you.
• 1:10:08
[SPEAKER_02]: So we're on the edge.
• 1:10:10
[SPEAKER_02]: Like we're on the edge on one side is the mountain that you're hiking.
• 1:10:14
[SPEAKER_02]: And then on the other side is just a coast that gets you to the water.
• 1:10:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like if you fall, that might be it.
• 1:10:20
  [SPEAKER_02]: No, it is it.
• 1:10:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it is.
• 1:10:23
  [SPEAKER_02]: There's no mic.
• 1:10:24
  [SPEAKER_02]: And we're going, we're going, we're going.
• 1:10:26
[SPEAKER_02]: And the higher you go, obviously, the windier gets.
• 1:10:29
[SPEAKER_02]: It's already windy all the time.
• 1:10:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And the more narrow it gets.
• 1:10:34
[SPEAKER_02]: And the more, yeah, just the worse it gets pretty much.
• 1:10:37
  [SPEAKER_02]: And we're going and we're going.
• 1:10:39
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's okay so far, but it is quite windy.
• 1:10:45
[SPEAKER_02]: Like there were times where the wind, it would be windy constantly, but then a gust of wind that was really strong would catch you up guard.
• 1:10:53
[SPEAKER_02]: And you have to be really like engaged and on guard ready to hold your own against this wind.
• 1:11:00
[SPEAKER_02]: And it was fine for the most part, but then we kind of turn inland and then these people that I saw like started going up the trail, maybe 10 minutes ahead of us.
• 1:11:14
[SPEAKER_02]: I see them coming back and turning towards us and they had these two dogs.
• 1:11:18
[SPEAKER_02]: And as they're passing us, they said like, you know, it'll be careful.
• 1:11:21
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like really windy up there.
• 1:11:23
[SPEAKER_02]: And then we start kind of talking them a little bit and they're basically saying like after you continue straight They will come a point where you have to start turning like you're turning on the edge of the mountain to kind of make like Not a U-turn, but it's sort of a turn into the crest of the mountain.
• 1:11:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so so far when we were walking the wind was like pushing us towards the mountain
• 1:11:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Which is good because it's not it's like it's like helping you stay with your weight Yeah, safely, but once you turn you're turning around the mountain and then the wind is basically pushing you off the mountain And you have to be like leaning into it into the mountain and it's a strong wind.
• 1:12:07
[SPEAKER_00]: It's strong even for me I'm twice like your weight.
• 1:12:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and we're also like there, you know, we're trying to film or trying to
• 1:12:14
[SPEAKER_02]: captivate the vibes, that's what we're there and it was, it got to the point where we felt like we actually sat down.
• 1:12:24
[SPEAKER_02]: As we were turning, we saw like a really felt like you were walking on the edge of the water because that's like how you couldn't see below you.
• 1:12:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Like we saw the mountain on our left and we're walking on this little path but past the path there's nothing.
• 1:12:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I just have flashback and maybe for people that hike all the time that are more experienced stuff like that this wouldn't be as bad but under circumstances that we're not people that are very well for us.
• 1:12:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure there's some type of protective gear that you can kind of like
• 1:12:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Just stick to the ground or we have no we didn't have the proper shoes.
• 1:13:05
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think yeah I had like my shoes were better because they were kind of like a grippy bottom your you are wearing like hoca's Yeah, I have run the shoes and we ended up just like taking a second.
• 1:13:17
[SPEAKER_02]: So we laid down on The mountain yeah, because that's how like
• 1:13:23
  [SPEAKER_02]: sort of nuts.
• 1:13:24
[SPEAKER_02]: That's how like steep it was that we basically just laid on the grass.
• 1:13:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you can just lead on one side and you'll be basically laying down.
• 1:13:32
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
• 1:13:34
[SPEAKER_02]: And we just laid down there for a second and we're like, you know what, the fee from here is like quite nice.
• 1:13:38
[SPEAKER_02]: And it was interesting because I was thinking just like how easy it would be for you to take one wrong step and you're just falling down the mountain.
• 1:13:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and I kept thinking about how I do now what that they have of course, so we took a break and then we was like, no, let's just keep going a little bit
• 1:13:56
[SPEAKER_00]: because that's when it started.
• 1:13:58
[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, we said we're gonna just turn around.
• 1:14:00
[SPEAKER_02]: At that point where we were just laying down there, we said, okay, I think like we're good, we got the vibe, let's turn back.
• 1:14:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Because we weren't gonna be going, because it was gonna go around like that for a minute and we don't know what the hell's on the other side.
• 1:14:13
[SPEAKER_02]: And those people told us that once you turn into the mountain on the other side, the wind gets even worse.
• 1:14:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:14:20
[SPEAKER_02]: And we weren't even halfway.
• 1:14:22
[SPEAKER_00]: No, and I really wanted to go, because I was just like, I can't, the view was already beautiful.
• 1:14:27
[SPEAKER_00]: So in my head, I'm like, oh, this feels dangerous, like literally, yeah, dangerous.
• 1:14:32
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's not worth, and like no view is worth that.
• 1:14:35
[SPEAKER_02]: And also because we're not like very intense hikers by any means.
• 1:14:39
[SPEAKER_02]: But first I'm hiking for real.
• 1:14:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we didn't really even have, because I know turning back on like a hike is like a thing in the hiking.
• 1:14:47
[SPEAKER_00]: community that is a thing that you don't want to do.
• 1:14:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that it's kind of like, once you start, you keep going.
• 1:14:55
[SPEAKER_00]: If my life is a thing.
• 1:14:56
  [SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm good.
• 1:14:56
[SPEAKER_00]: It felt like my life was, it was like, you don't take his death dramatic, but I do think that one little mistake he would have been really costly.
• 1:15:06
[SPEAKER_02]: And I think, especially in a position we were in, where we're making content, we're filming.
• 1:15:10
[SPEAKER_02]: We have cameras on us.
• 1:15:12
[SPEAKER_02]: We have like all these different things.
• 1:15:13
[SPEAKER_00]: It was just, at some point, I just put the cameras away.
• 1:15:16
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it just wasn't worth it.
• 1:15:17
[SPEAKER_02]: So we sat down there and we got up and as oh no while we were still sitting there deciding basically whether or not we're going to turn back we start feeling rain and then that was a confirmation like yeah we start getting hit with little pebbles of ice and we basically ended up getting caught in like a hillstorm.
• 1:15:40
  [SPEAKER_00]: a legit hailstorm.
• 1:15:42
  [SPEAKER_02]: I'm naven, I'm naven, and yoni has a video that I don't know.
• 1:15:46
[SPEAKER_02]: We have to post that somewhere.
• 1:15:48
[SPEAKER_02]: I also have a video of us crouched down walking on this path and it's crazy because in the video, it looks like nothing.
• 1:15:58
[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't even look that bad.
• 1:15:59
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't even look that bad.
• 1:16:00
[SPEAKER_00]: But when you were there you had these beads of ice hitting you in the face hitting like I was wearing leggings with these like track pants on top But they were quite thin and it felt like it was like pinching my skin it felt like yeah, I had jeans on so I didn't feel anything on my pants Like my legs but my hands were were out and also because they were so cold You know how sometimes when your hands are so cold you can't even put them in your pockets.
• 1:16:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because you don't even
• 1:16:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't even really feel him.
• 1:16:31
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
• 1:16:32
[SPEAKER_00]: So all the ice was hitting my hands.
• 1:16:34
[SPEAKER_00]: But then there was one point I was just like, this is so crazy.
• 1:16:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was watching the alias go down this, this, this, this road.
• 1:16:42
[SPEAKER_02]: This little path and you kept telling me like to slow down.
• 1:16:45
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like slow down.
• 1:16:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to, I know it's crazy.
• 1:16:49
[SPEAKER_00]: But you don't want to go too fast because it's crazy.
• 1:16:51
[SPEAKER_00]: And then follow whatever's little.
• 1:16:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's just get hit on.
• 1:16:54
[SPEAKER_02]: But like let's just go slow and lean towards the mountain because it was also like it was windy You'll see like the my jacket is as if it's like a Like a tent I have it then I was one point it looked so crazy.
• 1:17:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, you know, I just have to record a few seconds of this moment because otherwise I would I would have zero evidence
• 1:17:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Evidence and visual to remit because that's some child never forget in my life Yeah, so I took my phone out and I recorded a little bit I turned around.
• 1:17:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I recorded the view But for some reason when you're there, it looks way more dramatic or it is a way more dramatic than the video Yeah, so anyway, I'm gonna post it you guys gonna see it and you got you you'll see exactly what I mean But I'm so glad like those are moments.
• 1:17:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I was thinking like like this is really dangerous
• 1:17:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and what's wild is like for somebody that maybe does this type of stuff all the time, like maybe to you because it's normal if you are outside and like Scotland is so popular for these sort of you know activities like some people to them they're like you guys are so we you would have like you turn around for this whatever and I'm like, yeah, I have no problem having turn around for that.
• 1:18:04
[SPEAKER_00]: And mind you, this was the hard level.
• 1:18:07
[SPEAKER_00]: This wasn't just like some easy thing that this was dangerous and it was on the hard trail.
• 1:18:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I think like being caught in weather, I just don't fuck with that.
• 1:18:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing that I kept thinking about the weather doesn't care about who loves you in your life, what you love and your hobbies and how ambitious you are in your life and you're doing your job.
• 1:18:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Like the weather is just like, yo, I'm gonna, and it could have gotten worse.
• 1:18:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but the thing about the, the thing about the weather in Scotland is like in five minutes, the sun is going to come out again, which is exactly what happened.
• 1:18:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Because we just exactly what happened, but I'm not counting on that.
• 1:18:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, in five minutes, a lot of shit can happen.
• 1:18:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and we, we basically got to back to like a portion of the area that was less steep.
• 1:18:50
[SPEAKER_02]: It was a little like flatter, yeah, and like inland, and then the hail storm, like past, because the winds are so strong that the weather turned so much, and then the sun came back out.
• 1:19:01
[SPEAKER_02]: So we kind of hung out there for a little bit, took more videos, more content, and then the storm started again.
• 1:19:07
[SPEAKER_02]: So we left, but then by the time we got to the bottom, the sun came out again.
• 1:19:12
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:19:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Since then, you're going to say it by then.
• 1:19:16
[SPEAKER_00]: It was, I mean, I would do it again.
• 1:19:19
[SPEAKER_02]: I wish that we would have gone further.
• 1:19:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I wish that we would have wished that.
• 1:19:24
[SPEAKER_02]: And I wish maybe we went on another.
• 1:19:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Hi, get some point because there's so many beautiful hyaxle you can get to like really high level and there's just these insane views like I wish that was the case If the wins were not a strong no, I think that's like biggest if the weather was fine if the weather was fine if the weather was fine.
• 1:19:45
[SPEAKER_00]: We would have finished it
• 1:19:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I'm also glad that we weren't with somebody that would have been like, no guys, come on, let's keep going and you don't want to let them like go by themselves, but also I'm not comfortable going.
• 1:19:54
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to turn back like I think being a group with various, you know, comfortability levels with this type of stuff can be a little bit hard.
• 1:20:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I will never feel, I will never be like peer pressure to do something where I feel like I'm a danger I mean danger Honestly, I don't have an ego to be like, oh, let me show you that I am strong That's really that Let me show you that I can do it even if it's like a little like now I felt alive enough Like this was, I really did feel alive Like something about that at the end I was like this was kind of crazy But I'm so glad we did it because It was such a, how do you say like adrenaline rush?
• 1:20:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah
• 1:20:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, about your adrenaline growing, it was one of those examples of, you know, having to put myself in a situation, just to feel something.
• 1:20:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:20:39
  [SPEAKER_02]: I did feel that.
• 1:20:40
[SPEAKER_00]: And, uh... And because we turn around, we ended up making it all time for the axe throwing.
• 1:20:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that is true because we were looking at time like I don't think we're going to make it But I'm glad we did because that was that was the yeah, the hike was going to be like three times as long as we had gone But it just really wasn't it wasn't worth it.
• 1:21:03
[SPEAKER_02]: I will say though one thing that we did do also on Sky was we went to this beautiful beach called Taliscar Beach this was the next day
• 1:21:13
[SPEAKER_02]: And this was ranked as easy because it was simply just a walk from a parking lot to the Bay of Taleskir Bay.
• 1:21:22
[SPEAKER_02]: But the walk there is right in between a bunch of mountains and you're walking on the flat part, which is like a little valley.
• 1:21:30
[SPEAKER_02]: And it was so gorgeous.
• 1:21:35
[SPEAKER_02]: The sun was shining the entire time.
• 1:21:37
[SPEAKER_02]: It was so green and vast and another moment where I was like, I just want to run and you did and I did and I just want to run until the end and I just sort of run up this mountain to the top Like it was so beautiful it's insane
• 1:21:55
[SPEAKER_00]: It makes you realize how big the world is, and obviously everybody knows the world is big.
• 1:22:02
[SPEAKER_00]: But when you just travel into these different places, it just makes you feel like there's so much out here to see.
• 1:22:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And so if you have the opportunity, I know things like that, you know, to travel, it costs money.
• 1:22:13
[SPEAKER_00]: But if you can and you can afford it, I highly recommend you go somewhere new.
• 1:22:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: And also like,
• 1:22:20
[SPEAKER_02]: And go somewhere like this.
• 1:22:21
[SPEAKER_02]: It goes somewhere off the grid remote.
• 1:22:24
[SPEAKER_02]: I like, I'm trying to implement that in my own sort of way of traveling next time we go on a non-work travel where, you know, we have autonomy over what we do like I really want to incorporate like some sort of adventure type of thing like this because it almost feels like if you don't do that like I regret that when we went to Portugal.
• 1:22:45
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, there's so much to do there in terms of like nature and hikes and stuff like that.
• 1:22:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this really put it in perspective for us.
• 1:22:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
• 1:22:53
[SPEAKER_00]: So Alice Kirby was amazing.
• 1:22:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I took so many photos there, it will be sharing those as well.
• 1:22:58
[SPEAKER_02]: um and yeah that's kind of it.
• 1:23:02
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean the rest of the time in um it does kind of like get sort of repetitive I will say because you're just driving a lot you know you go to this place to eat this place to eat everything is quite far away from each other but it does not get old when it comes to the views.
• 1:23:18
[SPEAKER_00]: No, because you want to stop like every five minutes and you can't Can because now you got easy easy going take forever.
• 1:23:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guess you can but It's that's a mistake.
• 1:23:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I did I took so many photos with my digital like her and now I'm looking at all these photos and they're almost the same
• 1:23:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's really beautiful, but like it's the same.
• 1:23:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Yari has some insane film photos though that I cannot wait for you guys to see.
• 1:23:45
[SPEAKER_02]: There are some that are just like damn.
• 1:23:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's the cool thing about film like I was telling you this morning.
• 1:23:50
[SPEAKER_00]: You have 37 frames and this is what you got.
• 1:23:54
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
• 1:23:55
[SPEAKER_00]: With digital, you can have 400 photos that you've got to look at each one, okay?
• 1:23:59
[SPEAKER_00]: They're kind of different, exactly the same.
• 1:24:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Which ones the best, they're both the same.
• 1:24:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so, but really cool, really, really nice.
• 1:24:06
[SPEAKER_02]: and that's kind of the adventure we then like drove back from the highlands
• 1:24:14
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I think there's something so special about also being like dirty, having, you know, like messed up from that height.
• 1:24:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, having your, we really entered the Gorp core era for a second there, which I really enjoyed.
• 1:24:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it looked good in it.
• 1:24:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: Thanks.
• 1:24:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, look at it.
• 1:24:30
[SPEAKER_00]: We have to talk about the crazy windstorm that one night, like we can't forget that that's one little story that I feel like if we don't, but it's kind of going to be hard to describe because
• 1:24:42
[SPEAKER_00]: What we felt that night, it was just super windy.
• 1:24:45
[SPEAKER_00]: If you felt that it was tornado outside, scary.
• 1:24:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And if you see the house you were standing, which I will post a photo, it's, it feels like the wind can pick it up and just, just get it out of here.
• 1:24:55
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 1:24:56
[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't think I've ever, like, the wind was so strong.
• 1:25:01
[SPEAKER_02]: It felt like there's, like, water, like the ocean is like on the house.
• 1:25:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:25:08
[SPEAKER_00]: And it felt like, you know, the wind is strong when, I mean, I feel like most of us at some point in our lives experienced a crazy storm and you're just like cozy at home.
• 1:25:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's like it's fun when you're inside.
• 1:25:20
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
• 1:25:21
[SPEAKER_00]: But when you start looking at the walls or like I was thinking about the ceiling, I don't know.
• 1:25:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And also this house is new.
• 1:25:28
[SPEAKER_00]: This was built like three months ago.
• 1:25:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like finished being built, three months ago.
• 1:25:34
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, it hasn't gone through like the real.
• 1:25:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I kept thinking in my head like this house go through all the weather conditions.
• 1:25:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Like is this the first test?
• 1:25:45
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, my thing is like, people, the people that built it, you know, they're from here, they know exactly.
• 1:25:52
[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to build something that lasts.
• 1:25:53
[SPEAKER_02]: They don't want to build something that's going to break down.
• 1:25:55
[SPEAKER_00]: And no, but I don't want to be the first person to experience the test.
• 1:25:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see if it works.
• 1:26:00
  [SPEAKER_02]: Which is fair.
• 1:26:01
[SPEAKER_02]: And obviously, everything was fine.
• 1:26:03
[SPEAKER_02]: But being inside the house, we, we got, I remember when we got home and we stepped out
• 1:26:14
[SPEAKER_02]: um on uh in sky and I remember when we stepped outside the wind felt different like if felt really really really really strong when we were just outside because it really hits you okay so type of wind that makes you lose a step
• 1:26:30
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah exactly.
• 1:26:31
[SPEAKER_02]: And then we got in the house and we're kind of getting cozy, shower, made dinner all that.
• 1:26:37
[SPEAKER_02]: But then it just like kept going, kept getting worse.
• 1:26:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Like the sound of the wind hitting the house was so intense.
• 1:26:45
[SPEAKER_02]: And then it started also raining and hailing.
• 1:26:48
[SPEAKER_02]: So then it would like hit the house and then it was made out of tin.
• 1:26:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're like, you know, like metal and we were on the edge of the water like we had the view of the water hitting the land from our place I can't think and like use the car still there Like what if you wake up in the morning in the cars like in the water?
• 1:27:10
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I literally thought in the morning, what if we, like, as we were walking to go to the car the next day, I was thinking, imagine the car's out there.
• 1:27:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I really felt like there's a possibility that the car's not there.
• 1:27:22
[SPEAKER_02]: You did it, pulled the parking, the emergency park.
• 1:27:26
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 1:27:26
  [SPEAKER_02]: Setting.
• 1:27:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: Well, this is happening.
• 1:27:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sleeping in bed.
• 1:27:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just thinking like yo, I hope the car is okay Because the car is just getting all that shit.
• 1:27:35
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it is But it's a small car.
• 1:27:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't a big car.
• 1:27:38
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it was like a it was like a mini Cooper.
• 1:27:41
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, not mini Cooper But it was like a small.
• 1:27:43
  [SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a standard car.
• 1:27:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So I got one more thing.
• 1:27:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay The sauna in the middle of nowhere.
• 1:27:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, that was our last day.
• 1:27:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: That was the last
• 1:27:54
[SPEAKER_02]: We were back in Blanco.
• 1:27:55
[SPEAKER_02]: We drove from the Isle of Skye.
• 1:27:58
[SPEAKER_02]: We went to another hotel, which was insane.
• 1:28:02
[SPEAKER_02]: That hotel was like in the middle of nowhere in the Highlands and the views were just mountains all around you from your room.
• 1:28:09
[SPEAKER_02]: You could just see the mountains crazy.
• 1:28:11
[SPEAKER_02]: And before driving back to Edinburgh to fly out the next day, we did a lot of driving and flying in all that.
• 1:28:21
  [SPEAKER_02]: We went to Yosana.
• 1:28:23
[SPEAKER_02]: And it was a sauna and cold-plunge combination.
• 1:28:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Now this is something that I haven't done before.
• 1:28:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: I've never even done a cold-plunge before.
• 1:28:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I see people on Instagram do, I see people in real life do it.
• 1:28:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I know many of my friends did it.
• 1:28:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: But cold-plunge, I'm not, I don't do well with cold water.
• 1:28:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Even when I take a shower, cold in general doesn't do well for you.
• 1:28:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then if I'm initially having to turn on the cold water at the end of my shower just to, you know, just to feel something.
• 1:28:49
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like I can't breathe like it's I do for two seconds and I'm out of there.
• 1:28:53
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, but this day for some reason I was just like, you know, we are in Scotland.
• 1:28:58
[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing this random son and it was really beautiful.
• 1:29:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, it was really nice.
• 1:29:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was really nice.
• 1:29:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: We went in there.
• 1:29:05
[SPEAKER_02]: The sauna was like an individual tiny little cabin.
• 1:29:08
[SPEAKER_02]: So you enter, you have like a room where you change your clothes and stuff.
• 1:29:12
[SPEAKER_02]: And then you enter the sauna, which has a big window.
• 1:29:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Big window, because the view is really nice.
• 1:29:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, got in there for, I don't know, like maybe 20 minutes.
• 1:29:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we, we stepped outside a few times.
• 1:29:23
[SPEAKER_02]: It would do like 10 minutes inside the sauna.
• 1:29:25
[SPEAKER_02]: And then outside it would be kind of cold and windy and it would be so refreshing.
• 1:29:30
[SPEAKER_02]: And then you kind of are outside for, I don't know, like a minute or so.
• 1:29:35
[SPEAKER_00]: The clothes shows outside, but there was no water in it because you had to fill it in which we didn't know until like 30 minutes Yeah, so the sauna we couldn't really figure out how to do it and then I was like, you know Let me go outside and figure it out because I kind of want to do it.
• 1:29:50
[SPEAKER_00]: It's something that I was in one of those moods I was ready to try something different.
• 1:29:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you're like when in Scotland It's one of those things that like when you're there, I'm already here like let me do the shift for real
• 1:30:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so we turned it on filled up the whole tub and then and then you only went straight I have a video.
• 1:30:08
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you're trying to share that or not, but have you watched it?
• 1:30:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: No.
• 1:30:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you haven't watched it.
• 1:30:14
[SPEAKER_00]: You should have guided on on the camcorder.
• 1:30:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, too many cameras.
• 1:30:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that would have been cool.
• 1:30:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: So anyways, it's full.
• 1:30:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Will you surprise how I got in there?
• 1:30:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Really I knew you said you were gonna do it, so I just assumed that you're gonna do it I didn't overthink it.
• 1:30:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't dip my toes in first to feel how cold it is.
• 1:30:33
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like you know what
• 1:30:35
[SPEAKER_00]: My whole body was just in your womb.
• 1:30:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't put my head in any?
• 1:30:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, it was too much of a commitment to get my hair winsured.
• 1:30:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:30:43
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's so cold, like the hair would have stayed wet for a while.
• 1:30:46
[SPEAKER_00]: My hair would have froze or something.
• 1:30:48
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it was cold.
• 1:30:49
[SPEAKER_00]: It was cold, but I couldn't breathe.
• 1:30:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: I remember that.
• 1:30:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:30:53
[SPEAKER_00]: How long did I stay in there?
• 1:30:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: 30 seconds?
• 1:30:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, maybe you can see on the video, okay.
• 1:30:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was painful.
• 1:31:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you zoom in on me?
• 1:31:02
  [SPEAKER_02]: I can't remember.
• 1:31:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it was cold.
• 1:31:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't breathe.
• 1:31:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember, but I was I remember just thinking how I'm like, I'm happy that I'm in here right now.
• 1:31:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm happy that I'm finally doing it because I always chickened out.
• 1:31:13
  [SPEAKER_02]: It is quite uncomfortable.
• 1:31:14
[SPEAKER_00]: And I didn't like that, you know, I was just like, you're only just throwing in there.
• 1:31:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: You can do it.
• 1:31:17
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 1:31:17
[SPEAKER_00]: But then when I got out, I felt like I just my whole body got like
• 1:31:22
[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like your skin feels so sensitive.
• 1:31:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was prickly.
• 1:31:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: It was very uncomfortable.
• 1:31:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I never felt anything like that.
• 1:31:31
[SPEAKER_02]: And then going back into the sauna after that, you still feel that tingling pins and needles feeling.
• 1:31:36
[SPEAKER_02]: But then it slowly goes away.
• 1:31:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And then that's when you feel amazing.
• 1:31:40
[SPEAKER_02]: And then we felt amazing when we were driving back.
• 1:31:44
[SPEAKER_02]: to our hotel to check out.
• 1:31:46
[SPEAKER_02]: And I also, I went in the cold plunge.
• 1:31:49
[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't watched the video that you got because you filmed it on the camera.
• 1:31:51
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
• 1:31:53
[SPEAKER_02]: And I stayed in there probably for a minute.
• 1:31:55
[SPEAKER_00]: You stayed in there a little bit longer than me.
• 1:31:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I stayed in there for significantly longer.
• 1:31:59
[SPEAKER_00]: How many times in your life have you done that?
• 1:32:01
[SPEAKER_02]: That was the second time.
• 1:32:03
[SPEAKER_00]: OK, so you knew you were familiar with the film.
• 1:32:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was familiar with the feeling that you get in your chest, like the thing you're talking about, where you feel you can't breathe.
• 1:32:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I couldn't breathe.
• 1:32:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't even imagine.
• 1:32:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's a really like focus on your breathing and I was trying to slow it.
• 1:32:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's hard.
• 1:32:19
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like your body, but you stayed calm.
• 1:32:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I was, yeah, but I was like, I knew what to expect.
• 1:32:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know what to expect, so I probably look crazy in the video and you guys will not see it.
• 1:32:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't even ask.
• 1:32:30
[SPEAKER_00]: We want to see you on this video.
• 1:32:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's the one thing.
• 1:32:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: I haven't ever watched it.
• 1:32:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I look you don't even want to watch it.
• 1:32:36
[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of the story, you guys.
• 1:32:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: That was it.
• 1:32:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Then we drove back to Edinburgh.
• 1:32:42
[SPEAKER_02]: We stopped at a few places where it was really beautiful.
• 1:32:46
[SPEAKER_02]: We went and saw some highland cows.
• 1:32:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:32:50
[SPEAKER_00]: We just, they have two photos of that.
• 1:32:52
[SPEAKER_02]: Third tongue is so big.
• 1:32:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you scared to feed them?
• 1:32:55
  [SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't scared to feed them.
• 1:32:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I just didn't want to do the food in their mouth.
• 1:32:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, no, put it on their tongue.
• 1:33:00
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's big enough.
• 1:33:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I didn't want to like get close to that.
• 1:33:03
[SPEAKER_02]: The tongue was like my arm.
• 1:33:05
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, literally as long as my arm.
• 1:33:08
[SPEAKER_00]: We do remember the small hike that we did, which was this right here.
• 1:33:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we went on this walk.
• 1:33:14
[SPEAKER_00]: It was nothing to mention.
• 1:33:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Aw, swell, aw, swell, on well.
• 1:33:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what it was called.
• 1:33:18
[SPEAKER_02]: There was a cute walk that kind of stretcher legs.
• 1:33:21
[SPEAKER_02]: And then got back to Edinburgh.
• 1:33:22
[SPEAKER_02]: We went to the airport directly, dropped off the rental car.
• 1:33:25
[SPEAKER_02]: And then we stayed at the airport hotel.
• 1:33:28
[SPEAKER_00]: which is the first time they've ever done that and it's kind of a game changer staying super close to the hotel because then we just in the morning we just walked over to to the airport yeah it was nice check then got on a plane somehow we got some good ass seats this time.
• 1:33:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: it was refused.
• 1:33:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I looked at the tickets like are you sure this is?
• 1:33:46
[SPEAKER_02]: yeah it was our first time that we ever flew in premium economy which basically is like a
• 1:33:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the seats that you usually get on a plane and just walk by and go to the back.
• 1:34:02
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
• 1:34:03
[SPEAKER_02]: And because we didn't like a book this flight, we didn't select these.
• 1:34:08
[SPEAKER_02]: So it was like a, it was a surprise.
• 1:34:10
[SPEAKER_00]: When you said that this is our seat, I was like, are you sure?
• 1:34:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, me too.
• 1:34:14
  [SPEAKER_02]: This is a mistake.
• 1:34:15
  [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't know how to act.
• 1:34:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so they were sitting down like, oh, shit, this is different.
• 1:34:18
[SPEAKER_02]: And then we like started checking all the little compartments, like, oh, look at this.
• 1:34:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we have something here too.
• 1:34:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: What is that button?
• 1:34:24
  [UNKNOWN]: It's not that.
• 1:34:25
[SPEAKER_03]: But it was so funny and it was funny because I was like give people tell that we don't belong Yeah, I was like it.
• 1:34:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, let's just act normal But it wasn't even that crazy at first class.
• 1:34:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
• 1:34:37
[SPEAKER_02]: No, first class is different But that one that you're gonna catch is in first class is like if somebody else pays for it or if we like book it with points It kind of doesn't make sense to pay for yourself that premium business class was
• 1:34:50
  [SPEAKER_02]: No, premium economy.
• 1:34:51
[SPEAKER_02]: We were not in business class.
• 1:34:52
[SPEAKER_02]: Business class is where you lay down.
• 1:34:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Business class first class, same shit.
• 1:34:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody just calls it differently.
• 1:34:59
[SPEAKER_00]: All those dick confused by these, right?
• 1:35:01
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it was fun.
• 1:35:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was so comfortable.
• 1:35:04
[SPEAKER_00]: It was probably like the most comfortable I've ever been on a plane.
• 1:35:06
[SPEAKER_00]: And at that point, I can travel however many hours, 20 plus I wouldn't even bother me.
• 1:35:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I feel like I wish that we had those seats on our way there because we don't think it would have slept.
• 1:35:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I could have slept for sure.
• 1:35:22
[SPEAKER_00]: What did I do on the plane back to New York?
• 1:35:25
  [SPEAKER_02]: I was just working.
• 1:35:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're just working.
• 1:35:29
  [SPEAKER_02]: We're like, we're looking through content.
• 1:35:31
[SPEAKER_02]: We're editing stuff on our phone.
• 1:35:35
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 1:35:35
[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, you guys, that's kind of the trip long episode because it deserved a long episode.
• 1:35:41
[SPEAKER_02]: And it was a great time.
• 1:35:45
[SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, I do want to say, like, I am so grateful that, you know, I get to do this for work and after
• 1:35:56
[SPEAKER_02]: five almost six years this September getting to like make videos and document my life and and all the work that has you know gone into what I do to be able to you know be invited to gone this type of trip is is so incredible and I don't take it for granted and
• 1:36:18
[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's a very specific and unique experience, getting to have traveled for work in this way.
• 1:36:24
[SPEAKER_02]: And I am just so immensely grateful that this is an opportunity that, you know, we got and that, like, Yoni also got to come on the trip and it was, it was amazing.
• 1:36:34
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:36:34
[SPEAKER_02]: But I know it's a very unique way to get the travel on this way.
• 1:36:38
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the first time that we ever did get invited and all that.
• 1:36:42
[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't want this to come off like everybody can do and travel the way that we have.
• 1:36:50
[SPEAKER_02]: We know that this is different and out of the ordinary, but it's still our experience and getting to see these places and experience them and getting to share the knowledge
• 1:37:03
[SPEAKER_02]: and our stories and the fun stories is like, you know, part of our, part of our work.
• 1:37:08
  [SPEAKER_02]: And, uh, yeah, it's, it's amazing.
• 1:37:11
[SPEAKER_02]: And I can't wait to travel again in it two weeks.
• 1:37:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And have another one of these episodes.
• 1:37:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 1:37:18
[SPEAKER_00]: It's fun to go somewhere and then just come back and just talk about it.
• 1:37:21
[SPEAKER_02]: It almost feels like we have to do this to have shit to say.
• 1:37:24
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's like because we we are together all the time and week after week doing an episode You you kind of have to do stuff to talk about stuff pretty much like you know You can't just cuz I feel like after 300 episodes like we kind of talked about all topics Yeah, and I would say too like in the winter time especially because we were at home so much and we weren't really doing a lot because
• 1:37:47
[SPEAKER_02]: is just this hard to when when the weather's so bad.
• 1:37:51
[SPEAKER_02]: I think the summer is going to be the summer and like spring and now like it's literally sunny outside.
• 1:37:57
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 1:37:58
[SPEAKER_02]: I just you have more will to do stuff and to live and to to do things to then have stories to tell.
• 1:38:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, literally.
• 1:38:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder how the experience would have been had to be just taking a train everywhere.
• 1:38:09
  [SPEAKER_02]: instead of driving.
• 1:38:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Like this episode would have been so different.
• 1:38:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, I will say like definitely definitely if you ever go to the Scotland and I think you should and if you go to the Highlands and I think you should do it with a car, do it properly.
• 1:38:22
[SPEAKER_02]: If you're not comfortable driving find a friend to go on this trip with that is comfortable driving because it's like it's you wouldn't be able to reach any of these places without a car.
• 1:38:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what did train, what would you even do?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But then stay there.
• 1:38:42
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and there's like buses and stuff that you can take to like hikes and stuff, but it's just not the same.
• 1:38:48
[SPEAKER_00]: bus, like in the car, you can play music, you can be silly.

• 1:38:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I got to, um, scala, and honestly, you guys, we didn't get to do a meetup.
• 1:39:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you saw how busy the schedule was.
• 1:39:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I was surprised by how many.
• 1:39:06
[SPEAKER_00]: People listen to podcasts, yeah.

• 1:39:37
[SPEAKER_02]: The schedule isn't all up to us.
• 1:39:40
[SPEAKER_02]: So we're still waiting on some info on exactly what are the work engagements and arrangements that we will be busy with.
• 1:39:48
[SPEAKER_02]: But I think there will be some more like down time when we can try to figure out what to do a meetup and hopefully we can make that happen.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're going to try best to make it a weekend.
• 1:40:22
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be there over the weekend, so I think it's going to be like a Saturday, it may be like Friday afternoon or something like that.
• 1:40:29
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll have to figure it out.
• 1:40:30
