- 7:02[SPEAKER_11]: No doubt about it.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_11]: I headed towards hopefully warmer temperatures yesterday.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_11]: We got another dose of snow after our cold snap and It's gonna stay chilly the next couple days before a little bit of warm where whether it's in, but I don't think we might get some more snow this after you're not too much.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_11]: Apparently the weather gassers are saying Looks okay for right now looks like a nice weekend not great But seasonal It's a whole version winter, isn't it?
- 7:33[SPEAKER_11]: Other top story of the day of Carthage Native and the nation's borders are time home and announced this morning the ending of the surge operation in Minneapolis that has led to such controversy, protest, acrimony and in a couple of cases death.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_11]: And Mr. Hohman said that with the he proposed and the president concurred to get
- 8:03[SPEAKER_11]: There always was, but this particular thing, uh, they're getting cut and back on.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_11]: So that's a good thing.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_11]: Get it off the news.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_11]: So we can get back to Tucson and see what's happening at the Guthrie.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_11]: I would say put up a tent in front of the front door for a while this morning.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_11]: And then they took it down.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_11]: Think it's down now.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_11]: But I don't know what they're doing now.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_11]: Uh, whatever you got going on here.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_11]: It's a busy weekend coming up.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, he's congressional hearings.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_11]: Did you follow any of them?
- 8:37[SPEAKER_11]: The ones with Pam Bondi, yesterday I know Danny was upset.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_11]: Today you had Keith Ellison.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_11]: It's just shouting matches.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_11]: Both parties do it.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_11]: It's disgusting.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_11]: Nobody's allowed to answer a question.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_11]: It's just a game.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_11]: It's the Attrics.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_11]: Both parties do it.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_11]: Can I say that Danny?
- 8:52[SPEAKER_11]: Both parties do it.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_11]: And Mr.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_11]: Waste of Time, although I did like watching, hey, I'm gonna go after those people.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, kind of, facturing when she's mad, you know?
- 9:08[SPEAKER_11]: 755, 1240, the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call, I'll be on the show of shows.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_11]: And we'll put on what else is going on.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_11]: The tomorrow, Councilman Ben shown will be in.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_11]: Mr.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_11]: Shown will be talking about the city budget.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_11]: good for him no one else will i mean people say i'm rude and uh... overbearing on the air that nobody wants to put up with me that i'm not fair and that's probably true but speaking out on behalf of myself but on behalf of the angry man and everybody else now
- 9:52[SPEAKER_11]: Red and article this morning said our tax rates here in water town art that bad Yeah, so maybe we should just take a take a 15% hike and Take our bitter medicine and move on move on One of the questions.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_11]: I'll give I'll give Mr. Shona heads up here One of the questions I'm gonna ask because it's come up is last year it was laid out in lavender
- 10:21[SPEAKER_11]: how much the proposed tax increase would be for this year all things being left as is.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_11]: Twenty percent thirty whatever the number was.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_11]: With that kind of thing looming and things like that tend to loom.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_11]: Why wasn't there a hiring freeze put into effect.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_11]: Now what's a hiring freeze do means you have to go back to the council to fill a position.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_11]: So if a.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_11]: whatever road garbage truck driver if they retire or something like that or quit counsel would have to decide now maybe the council would decide it's essential in they do it but it's a way to decrease to attrition number of ways and mitigate that impact this year now they got no choice is going to have to be bodies left on the floor when it's over if they're going to work out was what they say that but maybe they won't maybe they'll say well
- 11:18[SPEAKER_11]: You know, we can afford it, most people who can't, maybe they should live somewhere else.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_11]: Mm-hmm.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_11]: We're going to find out.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_11]: We are going to find out.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_11]: So Mr. Schoen will be, and Tom, I'm going to ask him about that hiring freeze issue.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_11]: We'll see what he says.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_11]: Because they could put one under to affect at the next meeting on Monday or Tuesday.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, they could.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_11]: But they won't.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_11]: Because I don't think they want to... You know, city managers can be like school superintendents.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_11]: They don't want to cross them.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_11]: No, sir.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_11]: I don't think they want to cross this one.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_11]: All right, things going on.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, there's a too much gothory coverage.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_11]: Maybe.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_11]: And you want to see how it ends.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_11]: They found those gloves.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, I don't think there's too many rational people who think she's still alive, tragically.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_11]: So whether it was a murder to begin with, a burglary gone bad, I don't think it was ever meant to be a kidnapping.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_11]: I think that was a ruse, dreamed up to, so they wouldn't be looking for the body.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_11]: the first few days.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_11]: Because as much as they say this guy with the ski mask is stupid, he's gotten away with it for 13 days and maybe he didn't get 6 million.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_11]: I don't think that was ever his doing anyway, but whatever he did, if he's, why do you try to go in the front door too?
- 13:05[SPEAKER_11]: I don't get that.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, side door, garage door or anything.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_11]: What a nice pool behind that house too.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_11]: He's, that's a nice pool.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_11]: Maybe it was the pool boy, the Kato Kailantite, would be.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_11]: But after doing it on the air.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, I've got a question for you.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_15]: What is the cap cap amount for increasing taxes each year?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, there's a state cap.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_11]: It's approximately 2%, but you can vote to override it, which they will do.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_11]: They'll have a resolution or a local law in front of them at the first in April I predict.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, and the funny thing is, they won't even have to ask for the manager or just prepare it for them.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_11]: So that way they can say, well, we got a vote on them.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_11]: Well, there's another question for showing to Marcie, who on the council is going to propose the local law for meeting an overriding of the tax cap, give me the two names who are going to introduce it in second.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_11]: We know one of them will be Dr. Gimble.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_15]: Who's the other one?
- 14:19[SPEAKER_15]: you lower taxes without getting rid of people but you can now you can how's that all pay cuts you can expand the city of water town expand on arsenal expand on Washington expand up root 11 all right expand a little bit down state street uh... i i understand that sure all those new city uh... i agree
- 14:46[SPEAKER_11]: I agree that makes sense that's what the city of Kingston Ontario did but they did it because the province told them they have to that will never happen on its own the talents will never give up their little fee for them because they get they get sales tax as a result of the agreement the city has and they don't have much in a way of expenses so if the city of war time expanded and they put a cap on non-for-profits if they kept it right now it's a problem yeah right now
- 15:16[SPEAKER_15]: Can they put a cap on that?
- 15:19[SPEAKER_11]: If someone qualifies for tax exempt status under the state law, I don't see what you can do.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, and not for profits are really, that's a misnomer, they're for the profit of the people working there, particularly the senior management.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_11]: So, but no, there's not much you can do about that.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_15]: I think there's like a niche, surely situation going on with the non-for profits and water
- 15:43[SPEAKER_15]: They may not be as bold and blatant not to have any customers or patients.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_11]: Now you could have a, you could have an agreement with them.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_11]: They pay a payment, lieu of taxes or something, a contribution to the community or something like that.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_11]: But they're not going to.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_15]: I also see you brought up calm home and it sounds like from what I listened to today.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_15]: It sounds like he's might be focusing on New York now.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_15]: Well, I don't know what he's doing.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_15]: Today's conference he said that Kathy Hockels you know because of what she said last week about trying to keep them out of the jails or prisons, you know, you know, that's what Minnesota tried to do.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_15]: I'm how old I had to go in.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_15]: It's time to come to the New York and put his foot down and shoot.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I would hope so.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_11]: Read this hope.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_11]: I just hope he comes back so we can have breakfast at shorty's diner.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_15]: Do you think anybody is going to try to chase them down?
- 16:44[SPEAKER_15]: the feet does.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_11]: No, I mean, the lead today was that he ended the roundup in Minnesota and the lead on lead into the, that was what the network piece said, but the anchor lead in said, well, the story is about funding and the government shutdown, which is, there's a venture, venture, venture group called, it's called, keep ice out of northern New York.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_15]: It's on Facebook.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_15]: And I just watched a video of a late last night.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_15]: she chased down a border patrol the sheriff department had a like puller over if you weren't roller to window down if she was following the ice officer around town right the same launch county okay let me here we go again there's going to be a pretty good situation and because you have a Facebook page up where they're posting hey there's an ice officer here in the running over there to your going do it I mean
- 17:43[SPEAKER_15]: Good thing these officers just brushed it off and walked away from the lady because you could tell that If they try to Well, that's what you got it there.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, that's what you got it here Well, listen, we got a lot of people here in the North Country who are out there Many of them clustered and can't and potstam so I don't know.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_11]: We'll see.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_11]: Okay.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_11]: Thanks.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_11]: Thanks.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_11]: Bye Oh somebody was waiting.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_11]: You see you got a weight You got a weight you turn you got to be patient in this world
- 18:13[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, let's see, what's this story?
- 18:16[SPEAKER_11]: School Districts to vote on merger.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_11]: Where's that?
- 18:21[SPEAKER_11]: Why in skill?
- 18:23[SPEAKER_11]: And Troy.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_11]: They're going to, why in skill union free school district will, they might merge with the Troy schools.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_11]: Public vote.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know about that.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_11]: That could put a superintendent out of job, wouldn't it?
- 18:40[SPEAKER_11]: now there's only two hundred ninety two students in the why it's killed district and thirty four hundred seventy five in the choice city school district would make sense to do it but I don't know after you're on the air I'm here how are you today right what's up I have over and over heard the story of like
- 19:07[SPEAKER_19]: city expanding going out each way, the problem is, is like, town of Watertown doesn't want that.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_19]: I mean, you're never getting one to agree with that.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_19]: Brownville doesn't want that town of Houseville.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_19]: No one wants to put on that burden of the tax base to Watertown's carrying, like no one.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_11]: No, the only way you could do it is like Ontario did in the state government would have to say we're going to do this.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_11]: But that's not going to happen in New York.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_11]: So, you know,
- 19:35[SPEAKER_19]: The easy way is that everybody does, like, just to avoid paying the tax in the large amount of, as you move slightly outside.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_11]: Right.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_11]: And that's what's been going on.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_19]: Well, with everyone, including government workers, everyone involved, so get all the enemies.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_19]: But I tell you one thing, if there's a big enough increase, the tax space will go up enough to make it worthwhile.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_19]: It's really only 2% of my father, so you've got to go up about that 2%.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_19]: if you're going to try to make a difference in increased taxes on it but right now there's a sour sour taste that everybody's called the way the utilities are going I think if tax is going on that way that sourness gets worse you can feel the same way
- 20:20[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I do, and I'm not sure the community leaders understand that property taxes don't exist in a vacuum or by themselves.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_11]: People are looking at a variety of other affordability issues, and yes, gas prices are down, and some other things are down, but boy, the energy bills, heating and electricity are brutal.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_11]: Incidentally, yesterday, I took some heat from somebody for a grid came over to look at my gas meter.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_11]: Well, it turns out it wasn't working.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_19]: the uh... the uh... the uh... head office wasn't connected when they put that a little box on it so they fixed that and re-read it i don't know the new reading is way different than what was on them yeah well that's that's probably something to do with the sparp eater you can dig into that spot with those part meters everything that posted about those is the amount of errors and the problems that they've had so you know that is what it is
- 21:18[SPEAKER_19]: Right, there's a lot of laws defining what utilities can do that are pushed aside because they're so powerful and they can do what they want.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_19]: Yep, you had mentioned the other day that it was a one day new cycle.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_19]: And you know what I'm getting at.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_19]: And it seems to be something that's brought up in the news every day and there's going to be a released cam version coming up of the officers camp.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_19]: like every single day now is that the mayor was on being interviewed on the news and thanks she's off for the cam being.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, but that's because she knows it won't be released.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_19]: I said it well.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_11]: Who said that?
- 22:04[SPEAKER_19]: I just don't know who it was.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_19]: They actually have the news they stated why it has to be and the amount of time they can wait to be.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_11]: Well that's the law, but they don't
- 22:18[SPEAKER_11]: They know how to obfuscate down there, they got a whole position dedicated to obfuscation.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_19]: Well, it depends if you know that the new law firm gets involved with anyone else who wants to choose to have a lawyer, damn hope is shown.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_19]: I mean, if it's just one of those things where it, if this isn't a one day story, I don't think you don't hear the things ruin around town of what's going to happen, and what everybody's talking about.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_11]: What are they talking about?
- 22:48[SPEAKER_11]: I haven't heard anything since the initial story.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_19]: You hear about lawsuits all the time.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, yeah, hear that all the time.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_11]: I've got people who talk about that every day.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_19]: Oh, no, no.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_19]: Not like a Scott Gates lawsuit, where he doesn't have any money.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_19]: People in the higher up in the medical field, they have money to pay for lawyers.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_19]: Especially if they win, they get to lawyers these bad.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_11]: Well, what?
- 23:11[SPEAKER_19]: One for a very, very long time.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_11]: Well, who would be suing who?
- 23:14[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_19]: Well, I believe that, you know, if you are falsely accused in a damage of your reputation, you have a bit of a loss without your ease, whether or not you can win it, another thing.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_19]: But, you know, is your name ever cleared?
- 23:29[SPEAKER_19]: I mean, is there a name ever cleared if, you know, things are bound in your way?
- 23:34[SPEAKER_11]: That's the, you know, I think that's Manifam having for Harris Beach, then I'll get a ton of money out of that.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_19]: Well, I got a film that's going to cause me to be just things like this or strange.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_19]: really really strange to be that.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_19]: Just wouldn't up there.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_19]: One more thing that I'll let you go.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_19]: When Danny had called in, he was going on and about, you know, how bad everything is.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_19]: And of course, he's always pushing his bullets to come small.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_19]: But, you know, we basically have no inflation.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_19]: We're at like so far between 2.5 and 2.7.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_19]: That's where you're supposed to be.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_19]: That means the economy's growing.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_19]: We're supposed to have that type of inflation.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_19]: It's just awful to hear someone just goes through over and over and just
- 24:14[SPEAKER_19]: Push that democratic agenda like that without any research yet.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_19]: I'm going to let you go, you're welcome.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_11]: Okay, thank you.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_11]: Bye now.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_11]: Do you notice how Little Smith said about that horrible school tragedy up in British Columbia?
- 24:28[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, and we know why now, right?
- 24:31[SPEAKER_11]: 755-1240, the phone number, good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_11]: Good afternoon.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, there's an informed citizen, what's on your mind?
- 24:42[SPEAKER_07]: Valentine's Day weekend.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, yeah, it's right.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_11]: You got a valentine?
- 24:47[SPEAKER_07]: A couple of them.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_11]: Really?
- 24:50[SPEAKER_11]: This is.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_07]: Well, our two sons.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_07]: They're in their 30s.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_11]: Okay.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I'm talking about romantic valentines.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, there's only one for me.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_07]: That's Craig's season gives.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_11]: Okay.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_11]: All right.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_11]: That's good.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_07]: All right.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_07]: You uh
- 25:11[SPEAKER_07]: saying that the national good they say on the news last night that national grids this month is probably going to be the highest bill because of the weather and what have you well I suspect it'll be high I don't know how high yeah well something becomes a play all start conservative electricity again turn off all the lights and all are a credit to do the same mm-hmm
- 25:40[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, but it doesn't matter.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_11]: You can turn off every light in your house and the bill would still go up.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_11]: So I hate to say that, but a lot of people have made that observation already.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_07]: Well, then that means that there are other events.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_11]: There you go.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_11]: There you go.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_11]: Hello.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_11]: Okay.

- 27:52[SPEAKER_24]: He built it by doing.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_24]: He creates American manufacturing jobs, real jobs right here at home.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_24]: Anthony Konstantino is a strong Trump Republican who fights for you, not Washington Insiders.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_24]: That's why he's funding his own campaign for Congress.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_24]: No special interests, no donor class, no strings attached.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_24]: Anthony Constantino answers to one group only.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_24]: The people who live and work right here, he'll fight to cut taxes, eliminate waste and fraud, and he'll fight to put more money in your pocket.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_24]: He'll fight for better cell phone and internet service across the North Country, and Anthony Constantino will always fight to protect our local farmers.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_20]: I'm Anthony Konstantino, and I approve this message.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_20]: Paid for by Konstantino for Congress, we all have cans and bottles.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_21]: So it makes sense to bring them to the Make Sense Redemption Center on Loray Street in Watertown.

- 29:17[SPEAKER_21]: They do the rest.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_25]: This is Chris Stigol.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_25]: Join me as I wake up America and the North Country.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_11]: Mornings from 6 to 9 right here on AM-1240-W-A-T-N. You know I might, I got a friend who lives over on that river of end of states over in that area.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_11]: I might register at his house so I can vote in that NY-21
- 29:44[SPEAKER_11]: 755 1240 the phone number if it like to give us a call to be on because we don't have anything to vote for on our side of the you know the line the imaginary line okay anyway uh... what are we going on here we've got uh... there's a fox who's alert oh yeah they're talking about the shooting up in the era
- 30:12[SPEAKER_11]: British Columbia, commonly called B.C.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_11]: It was trans, he was no longer a student at the school, but again, trans is an eight, six years ago.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_11]: Which is funny, but why go out and kill cause the death of eight people other than yourself?
- 30:39[SPEAKER_16]: you won't see that story on uh... the new news but after do you're on the air fair grand power you'd say be dramatic though how are you i'm good good don't get done shoveling and shoveling and plowing and whatever you've done but i call because i was the previous force a man to call gentlemen who called about the new talk to both nothing would get released or whatever of that they
- 31:09[SPEAKER_16]: Smith incident at the local restaurant I had said I've heard you talk numerous times about six bigger salaries so I had sent an email for a freedom information request I sent it to the manager and he's he's the big dog there he'd be the one who approved it or not he sent a back of very corgally
- 31:38[SPEAKER_16]: and they said he would, they would let me know my February 28th if they would respond what I asked for was the list of all employees who made $100,000 or more if they break it down to base salary over time position whatever their title was and to live in this city.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_16]: I don't want to address.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_16]: That's a private thing.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_11]: That'll be the whole thing all with actually the salaries you can look up.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_11]: There's a website.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_11]: I forget the name of it.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_11]: Transparency, New Yorkers.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_16]: But I was looking for calendar year January 1 to December 33, 2025.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_16]: Yep, that goes back to the, the New York Times book was back to the kind of the retirement system or whatever.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_16]: I'll be having, they haven't reported the 25 salaries.
- 32:36[UNKNOWN]: And I just was,
- 32:37[SPEAKER_16]: You know, as I had wrote, you know, once I unsuccessful if I was for a council, and I just was curious how many hundred thousand dollar salaries and in what departments of the salaries were.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_11]: Well, there's quite well, there's obviously, in the manager's office, there's two of them, right?
- 33:01[SPEAKER_16]: I'm not sure what the system makes.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_16]: I don't know what to do.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_16]: Anyways, I didn't realize so the manager goes forward and on.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_16]: In his email, I said it was very cordially made.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_16]: Go to your computer website.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_16]: There's an actual foil request link on the city's website.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_16]: So they must begin the tunnel for something.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_16]: And, you know, I asked him, I said, tell me the cost, and I'll, whatever, and you can email it to me.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_16]: That doesn't have to be a printed document.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_16]: I just was curious to see, I'm guessing there's probably some words in the neighborhood of 15 to 18, probably maybe more.
- 33:39[UNKNOWN]: Could be less, I don't know.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_11]: Well, you got to look at that.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_11]: You've got on the third floor.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_11]: On the second floor, I suspect the controllers in six figures.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know about the assessor.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_11]: uh... certainly the city engineer is police department the chief the captain and a lot of the tenants the owners also there's people uh... there's people in the water department because of all the over time they get making six figures but they're in a they're in a hole full of cold water
- 34:22[SPEAKER_16]: there maybe the two of the two hires could very well be but none of the quote working class well if you're if you're in some of these people get a lot of overtime because there's not many you know they haven't got a lot of people there to fix like water mean breaks aren't something that just Joe blow goes and does you gotta know what you're doing no no no no you know the gentleman called yesterday and talked about like a wage freezers there
- 34:52[SPEAKER_16]: part of the problem is, where I was working for the city, back in Seoul, 2010, that era, in 2008, that 11, 12 public works, anyway, it was probably half a dozen young guys to correct you.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_13]: Right.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_16]: And then the next thing would have been to the people who were going to these towns, the
- 35:22[SPEAKER_16]: They work 4-10 hour days from, uh, probably the first of May, don't November.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_16]: And then they're tied down to the winner for Snowblown, but, you know, city's got, um, issues on it's probably, just issues on it's on it's hand.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_16]: I'm probably lucky I didn't get self-activity when you want to come right down to it.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_16]: So, the tough decisions to make, I hope, I hope they have,
- 35:51[SPEAKER_16]: where we're all to make the decisions that these to be made.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_11]: So are you going to run next year?
- 35:57[SPEAKER_16]: I don't know what I'm going to do.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_16]: I had it.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_16]: You know, I thought about it, but I spent $8,000 this year to run his own successful.
- 36:08[UNKNOWN]: You know, do I want to spend another $1,000,000?
- 36:11[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I don't know, as you have to.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_11]: I think you made your point last time, and if people want it, they'll put you in.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_11]: You saved your science, didn't you?
- 36:20[SPEAKER_11]: You have your signs, don't you?
- 36:24[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, I get them my signs.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_16]: I got most of my buy another Hunter's probably.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_16]: I got, I collect the probably.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_11]: Well, that's all you really need.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_11]: I don't think you'd need to do anything else.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_11]: You know, if you want.
- 36:37[UNKNOWN]: I had a spectrary to the end.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_11]: And I had, right, on your show here, I had a kind of... Well, you should always advertise on the hotline.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_11]: But, you know, beyond that, I think you could...
- 36:51[SPEAKER_11]: You know, I think, well, the issue, the issue is will drive it.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_11]: I think you'll find, and I found that money is not the sole determiner on these things.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_16]: Well, obviously.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_11]: And, you know, next year you've got Mr. Timbo, he'll be running for mayor.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_11]: And then you've got, I don't know what, Shown's gonna do, we'll ask him tomorrow, and then you've got,
- 37:19[SPEAKER_16]: uh... the well and timbals open sea all on right available so you know you'll have some opening some clear sailing next year is gonna wait and see course you won't have a race it's cluttered up a i may run i had put a list together seventeen or eighteen positions that i felt the city could go with all now you're of the opinion i didn't want to i i didn't bring it up during the campaign
- 37:49[SPEAKER_11]: and that was just me talking and uh... you know well here's here's the deal though here's the deal you were you and Velasquez were the two candidates the third floor did not want is that correct i would probably that's probably a pretty good guess yeah yeah okay why is that well i think we
- 38:20[SPEAKER_16]: City operations, okay?
- 38:22[SPEAKER_16]: Mm-hmm.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_16]: We had talked about halfway back in September.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_11]: Now, do you, why do you think, you lost by a whisker, though?
- 38:30[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_11]: Do you think the fact that they held that information on the ethics thing they were going to launch?
- 38:37[SPEAKER_11]: In other words, if they had revealed that when they actually decided to do it, would that have helped you?
- 38:45[SPEAKER_16]: I have no, I don't know.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_16]: I don't think so.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_16]: I think people's minds were made up.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_13]: Mm-hmm.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_16]: Long ago, hey, I know you.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_16]: I think it's your friends.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_16]: I call them one to people.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_16]: You know what?
- 39:00[SPEAKER_16]: They just, hey, I did what I thought I had to do.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_16]: And I was 34-volt shy.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_16]: And it was a good campaign.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_16]: The folks who won are both good folks.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_16]: Nobody called anybody any names or anything like that.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_16]: It was a clean campaign and, hey, I call both open the night and said, hey, congratulations.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_16]: If you need any information that I'm white at, we've got to reach out to me and this is what it is.
- 39:34[UNKNOWN]: And that's one thing you should say, it wasn't meant to be.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_11]: Well, you know, they would be smart to call you and ask you to go over those 17 or 18 positions that you had identified.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_16]: And I just didn't want to say bring I didn't want to bring them up because I knew they weren't going to be popular.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_16]: And they wasn't fair to the people who.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_11]: But here's the problem.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_11]: And I got to get moving them up.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_11]: But the budget will be proposed whatever it is.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_11]: And then the whole issue was framed.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_11]: And the city's not going to cut.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_11]: You know, they're not going to send people down the road at that point.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_11]: They just won't.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_16]: I think they're going to have to do something.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_16]: Back when I first started, they had a big bloodletting just before I got hired there.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_16]: 90 of years, so before I had, they were like, yeah, that's 30.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_11]: Larry Clark's the only one.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_16]: I don't know how many.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_16]: It can't remember.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_16]: And everybody took a hit, you know, they've added physicians this year, you know, they added four firemen.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_16]: Now, you can see it on whatever you want about a safer grant.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_16]: but the grant's sunset, now they're on, then they're into the system, and in their retirement contributions, probably 30 to 33 percent on the Uniform Service.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_16]: So if you take a person that's making 80,000, you've already got 20,000 over 20,000, just in their retirement, but it's not
- 41:13[SPEAKER_16]: All great guys Well, I know, but they You know, they had he said there was a sweet spot of 72 people.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_16]: They've been getting live with 68 I was watching the news here a couple weeks ago a city of Folk It is down though.
- 41:29[UNKNOWN]: They've lost a ton.
- 41:30[UNKNOWN]: They've lost a bird's eye.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_13]: They've lost nestlies and a couple of bigger big end employers and They're where they're even tired.
- 41:38[UNKNOWN]: They're kind of
- 41:39[SPEAKER_11]: Banking on the guys working over time to keep the roads open because it was cheaper than hiring people in heaven like a sea cost right I got you on this and now Mr. Monica I have to run but don't be such a stranger we're glad to have you Okay, all right, thank you.

- 51:13[SPEAKER_11]: All right, thank you so much You know the weather we do talk about weather because it is an old fashioned winter and they got another foot of snow over night and barns corners Can you believe that they don't know where to put the snow right now and?
- 51:30[SPEAKER_11]: But they're they're persevering.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_11]: Why they do well down here that county?
- 51:34[SPEAKER_11]: You know a lot of people say well it's a backwater and everything well
- 51:38[SPEAKER_11]: you know how much money comes into that county because of snowmobiles and forereelers it's incredible these places fill up and uh... lot of property was bought up there during covid some of the insiders tell me so doing well and you know a lot of that's on the economy down there i think it'd be largely on the down low two you know but it's still a place where
- 52:08[SPEAKER_11]: Helps out the widow drones by getting their car on stock or something.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_11]: You're not going to get a bunch of piss ants running around saying, trying to turn them in or something like that.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_11]: It's a good place.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_11]: Um... Well, let's see.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_11]: We're getting a lot of tax messages now.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_11]: So I guess I've got to get over to those and see what people are saying.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_11]: Somebody says they should make city officials that drive vehicles home, pay their own gas.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_11]: No, it should make him drive their own car.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_11]: He's what they should do.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_11]: And because it won't be that much of an imposition because they'll be living in the city.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_11]: Now, here's somebody who's complaining because he says, ask your buddy up there in Pinkney, where all the flowers are.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_11]: Well, they were out this morning.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_11]: got him up here.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_11]: I'll tell ya.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_11]: I'll tell ya.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_11]: Anyway, so what are you?
- 53:15[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, we were talking about the weather coming up.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_11]: Hi today 24, hi tomorrow.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_11]: No, hi tomorrow 24.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_11]: So it's going to be continued cold, below average for another day, then it gets up to 31, which is average on Saturday, 34 and Sunday, 41 on Monday, 37, Tuesday, there's a number for you.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_11]: Reggie Jackson 44 on Wednesday.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_11]: Do you believe it's really going to happen once we get to Wednesday?
- 53:39[SPEAKER_11]: But if that's the case, that's going to take down a lot of this ice on the eaves, the icicles and stuff that's built up along the edge, or what's on the roof.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_11]: So I'm telling you, be careful.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_11]: This stuff's going to fall and don't put your car under.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_11]: Don't leave your pets under.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_11]: Don't let the kids play under it.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_11]: Don't you walk under it?
- 54:00[SPEAKER_11]: Um, because it is wicked dangerous.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_11]: I'm surprised more people don't get killed by that than they do.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_11]: Um, so, I don't know.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_11]: Uh, I will just have to wait and see what next week brings.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_11]: But by this time next week, we should be a little more upbeat in our view.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_11]: So it'll be a little bit warmer, a little bit less oppressive.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_18]: I always wanted to get your opinion on a school shoe and have an up there in Canada.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I think it's horrible.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_18]: Yeah, I mean, I feel like a lot of times in these schools are going on like these teachers and everything they're pretty lags on this whole idea of the transgender and everything like that, which might be kind of seems like a mental illness.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I think in some cases it has to be.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_11]: And we're not talking about just cross-dressers or something like that.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_11]: We're talking about the ones that are that are led down this path towards, you know, gentle mutilation and all of that.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_11]: There's got to be something to it.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_11]: And just to cover it up and say, it's not polite to talk about.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, why wouldn't this the individual was an ex-student of that school up in BC?
- 55:23[SPEAKER_11]: And, you know, nine people are dead and others are wounded because of it.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_11]: What are we supposed to do I mean for anybody to do that general I mean there's definitely something going on upstairs but yeah I mean and it's not the only reason that people shoot people but it's it seems to be a contributing factor in enough of them that we should be concerned about it and society says you're not allowed to talk about it in polite circles yeah so I don't know but I like even as in public schools and everything I mean it seems to be like widely accepted now
- 55:57[SPEAKER_18]: as far as, like, the whole transient, like, full-out people, like these kids, they're thinking they're transgender, they're different gender than what they were assigned to birth.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_13]: Mm-hmm.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 56:06[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_11]: It's a different world.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_11]: It's a different world.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_11]: It's a different world.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_11]: It's a different world.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_18]: It's a different world.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_18]: I don't know.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_18]: I don't know.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_18]: It's a different world.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_18]: I don't know.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_18]: It's a different world.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_18]: I don't know.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_18]: I don't know.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_18]: I heard a couple of people say that kids like moving the litter box is up in the bathroom.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_18]: I mean, that's just unbelievable.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_11]: You know, they keep denying everybody says those litter box stories are made up, but you hear of enough time.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_11]: So it's got to be something.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_17]: I don't know, I mean, it's got to be something going on, all right?
- 56:43[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_17]: So anyway, I mean, different worlds, I guess.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_11]: I guess so.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_11]: All right, well, hopefully it won't happen again.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_11]: All right.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_11]: Thank you.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_17]: Bye now.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_11]: yeah it's a horrible thing it's uh... i mean all of those type of things second here community that size i mean that is in the middle of uh... east nowhere british Columbia and uh... what i mean as a fact on any school district but a particularly that one i'm sure because those are people everybody knows everybody right well it's going on here uh...
- 57:24[SPEAKER_11]: Running out of road salt.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_11]: I got enough salt at the bar to just spread around.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_11]: Well, that's that.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_11]: Anyway, that Tumblr Ridge, that's the name of the school district.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_11]: Such a nice name, you know.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_11]: let's see what else have we got oh this weekend is Valentine's Day yeah gone or that well of course there's Jen's backyard blooms that's a good place there's the place up here on Crawfine I forget their name no more gray flowers that was always standard but people don't that they even send their
- 58:20[SPEAKER_11]: They should.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_11]: You know something I thought was really stupid.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_11]: You see the on the Olympics that guy.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_11]: He won some event and he goes on TV talking about how he cheated on his old lady.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_11]: And he's got to go over around here.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_11]: You don't talk about that on the national team.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_11]: What's wrong with these people?
- 58:38[SPEAKER_11]: Say these people are getting engaged on a jumbo drone or a stadium.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_11]: What's wrong with them?
- 58:49[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_11]: it's something else I'll tell you something else but anyway Valentine's Day and then president's day is monday i'll be here and present the stations closed but you know i said to you know they said mr. eleven i said i want to come here to honor Donald trump our president so i'm going to come in on president's day and uh... we're going to honor our president's we'll see how many of you know forty five of them
- 59:24[SPEAKER_11]: You talk about them and you must have a favorite.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_11]: I would think most people do, but I would think probably most people could not name five presidents.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I'd be willing to bet that five.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_11]: Now I would think if you can't say George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abe Lincoln,
- 59:50[SPEAKER_11]: Teddy Roosevelt would roll Wilson Franklin D. Roosevelt white eyes and Howard J. F. K. You know you should be able to come up with tenor
