and more just for curious kids like you.
• 0:32
Today we are talking about something many of you love,
• 0:35
soccer and especially the Super scores.
• 0:38
We are going to explore the top goal scorers in 2025 from
• 0:42
  different leagues around the world.
• 0:44
By the end, you will know who is scoring the most, what top
• 0:47
scorer really means, and some fun facts you can share with
• 0:50
your friends. First, let's make sure we
• 0:53
  understand what top scorer means.
• 0:55
In soccer, a player scores a goal when the whole ball crosses
• 0:59
the goal line between the posts and under the crossbar.
• 1:02
The player who scores the most goals in a season or in a
• 1:05
calendar year is called a top scorer.
• 1:08
Sometimes people count only league games.
• 1:11
Sometimes they count all club games in all competitions.
• 1:15
Some lists even include goals for national teams, so when
• 1:19
someone says top ten goal scorers, it is important to know
• 1:22
what is being counted. In this episode, we will focus
• 1:26
mainly on players who scored the most goals for their clubs in
• 1:29
2025 in big leagues, especially in Europe, because that is where
• 1:32
a lot of data is carefully tracked.
• 1:35
One list looks at club goals in Europe's top leagues for the
• 1:38
calendar year 2025, including all club competitions like the
• 1:42
league, domestic cups and European tournaments.
• 1:46
Another ranking looks at league seasons like 2025 to 26 and
• 1:50
counts league goals only. We will use these lists to meet
• 1:54
some of the biggest scores and explain what makes them special.
• 1:57
Let's start at the very top. Killian Mbappe.
• 2:01
In one ranking of club goals in Europe's top leagues for the
• 2:04
year 2025, Mbappe is listed as number one with 54 goals for
• 2:09
Real Madrid. That means he scored 54 times
• 2:12
for his club in different competitions in that calendar
• 2:15
year. Mbappe plays mainly as a
• 2:17
forward. He is known for his speed, quick
• 2:20
changes of direction and strong shots with both feet.
• 2:23
In 2025, he scored in important games, including a hat trick,
• 2:28
which means three goals in one match against Barcelona in a
• 2:31
famous game called El Clasico. Even though his team did not
• 2:35
always win, he still kept scoring.
• 2:38
Now let's talk about Harry Kane. In that same 2025 club goals
• 2:42
list, Harry Kane is number 2 with 46 goals goals for Bayern
• 2:47
Munich. Kane is a center forward who is
• 2:49
very good at finishing chances, which means turning passes into
• 2:53
goals. He topped the scoring charts in
• 2:55
the German league, the Bundesliga for the second season
• 2:58
in a row and helped Bayern win the league title.
• 3:01
In another ranking that looks at the 2025 to 26 season in the top
• 3:05
five European leagues, Kane is also at the top with 17 league
• 3:09
goals at one point in the season.
• 3:11
This shows that Kane is not just having one lucky year, he is
• 3:15
consistently scoring a lot of goals over several seasons.
• 3:19
Next is a name many kids know, Erling Holland.
• 3:22
In the 2025 club goals ranking, Holland is listed with 30 two
• 3:27
goals for Manchester City, putting him 6th in that
• 3:30
particular list. But if we look at the 2025 to 26
• 3:34
top five league ranking, Holland is right near the top again with
• 3:38
15 league goals for Manchester City.
• 3:40
Holland is a tall, strong striker who is great at using
• 3:43
his body to hold off defenders and find space in the penalty
• 3:47
area. In 2025, he scored twice in a
• 3:50
Champions League game against Monaco and stayed ahead of
• 3:53
everyone in the English Premier League Golden Boot race for a
• 3:56
while with 15 goals in 15 league games.
• 4:00
That kind of record means he is scoring on average once every
• 4:04
game. So far we have met Mbappe, Kane
• 4:07
and Holland, three of the biggest names in world soccer
• 4:10
right now. But there are other players who
• 4:12
might be less famous to kids but are also scoring tons of goals.
• 4:16
One of them is Victor Yokres. In the 2025 club goals list for
• 4:21
Europe's top leagues, he is in 5th place with 30, three goals.
• 4:25
He played for Sporting in Portugal and then moved to
• 4:28
Arsenal in England in the 2024 to 25 season.
• 4:31
In Portugal he scored 39 league goals, which is an extremely
• 4:35
high number for a single league season.
• 4:38
When he moved to Arsenal, people expected him to keep scoring a
• 4:41
lot. He even scored a hat trick
• 4:43
against Ajax in a European game. Yokri shows that a player can
• 4:47
become a top scorer even if they are not already a worldwide
• 4:51
  superstar. Another strong scorer is
• 4:53
Vangelis Pavlidis, who is listed with 38 goals for Benfica in
• 4:57
that 2025 club ranking, placing him third.
• 5:01
Pavlidis scored in the Portuguese league and in
• 5:04
European competitions. He had a hat trick against
• 5:07
Barcelona and scored important goals against Monaco in
• 5:10
  Champions League playoff matches.
• 5:12
He also began the 2025 to 26 season by scoring the only goal
• 5:17
in a match called the Supertaka in Portugal.
• 5:20
That means he is not only scoring a lot, but also scoring
• 5:23
in important games that decide trophies.
• 5:25
Now let's look at some of the other names in the top ten of
• 5:29
that 2025 club goals list. These players help us see that
• 5:33
top scores come from different leagues and different countries.
• 5:36
There is Serho Garassi from Borisha Dortmund with 31 goals
• 5:40
in the year and 21 goals in 30 league games in the Bundesliga.
• 5:45
That is almost a goal every game and 1/2, which is very
• 5:48
efficient. He even scored a hat trick
• 5:50
against Barcelona in the Champions League.
• 5:53
Youssef and Asirai, playing for Fennerboss in Turkey, is listed
• 5:57
with 29 goals. He scored in the Turkish league
• 6:00
called the Super League and in the Europa League.
• 6:03
He scored four goals in the Europa League group stage and
• 6:06
then one goal in each leg of a playoff tie against Anderlecht.
• 6:10
That means he scored in both matches of that two game series.
• 6:14
Ausmaine Dumbley, playing for Paris Saint Germain in France,
• 6:17
appears in the top ten with 28 goals in 2025.
• 6:22
He had an incredible run where he scored in the first eight
• 6:24
games his team played in 2025, sometimes more than once,
• 6:29
including five goals in one game against breast and three against
• 6:33
Monaco in another competition. Dumbley is known for his
• 6:36
dribbling and his ability to use both feet, which makes it hard
• 6:39
for defenders to know which way he will move.
• 6:42
Ferrant Torres from Barcelona also makes that top ten list
• 6:46
with 27 goals, just ahead of his team mate Robert Lewandowski,
• 6:50
based on minutes per goal. That means that when two players
• 6:53
have the same number of goals, people sometimes look at who
• 6:56
scored more often in less playing time.
• 6:58
The player who scores more frequently with fewer minutes
• 7:01
per goal is ranked higher. You might be wondering what
• 7:05
about leagues outside Europe? Soccer is played all over the
• 7:08
world, so let's look at another Major League, Major League
• 7:11
Soccer in the United States. In the 2025 MLS season, Lionel
• 7:16
Messi is at the top of the scoring chart.
• 7:19
Behind him are players like Anders Dreyer for San Diego FC
• 7:23
and Evander for FC Cincinnati. This shows that even players who
• 7:27
are not in European leagues can be among the top scorers in
• 7:30
their own competitions. However, when people talk about
• 7:33
world top scorers, many lists still focus mostly on European
• 7:37
club competitions because that data is updated more often and
• 7:41
is easier to compare. There is also a different way to
• 7:44
look at top scores by counting all goals for both clubs and
• 7:47
national teams in a calendar year. 1 ranking by a global
• 7:51
football statistics group lists Cristiano Ronaldo with 34 goals
• 7:55
and Guillerme Bisselli with 30. Three goals including both club
• 7:59
and international goals. This shows that some players who
• 8:02
are not in the European top 10 club only list can still rank
• 8:06
very high when you count all their games including national
• 8:09
team matches. Now let's pause for a few Did
• 8:12
you know moments? Did you know that some players
• 8:14
can score more than fifty goals in a single calendar year for
• 8:18
their club, like Killian and Bape with 54 in 2025?
• 8:22
For Real Madrid, that means scoring more than once every
• 8:25
week on average if you think about a long season.
• 8:27
Did you know that Harry Kane has been the top scorer in different
• 8:30
leagues in different countries? He was a star in the English
• 8:33
Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur, and then he moved to
• 8:36
Bayern Munich in Germany and still topped the scoring charts
• 8:39
there. That shows his style works in
• 8:42
more than one league. Did you know that a player can
• 8:44
be a top scorer even if they're not always winning trophies?
• 8:48
For example, Mbappe's 54 goals in 2025 did not always lead to
• 8:53
titles for Real Madrid that year, but he was still the
• 8:56
leading scorer in that club goals list.
• 8:59
So what can we learn from all of this?
• 9:02
Being a top scorer isn't just about being famous.
• 9:05
It's about consistency, Scoring in league games, cup games,
• 9:08
European tournaments and sometimes even national team
• 9:12
  matches. It's also about style.
• 9:15
Some players, like Holland and Kane, score with powerful
• 9:18
finishes inside the box. Others, like Dembele and Mbathe,
• 9:23
combine speed, skill and creativity to find the net in
• 9:27
different ways. And players like Pavlidis and
• 9:30
Yokaris show that hard work and great form can help you break
• 9:33
into the top scoring lists, even if you weren't already a global
• 9:37
superstar. Before we wrap up, here's
• 9:39
something to remember. Top scores change every year.
• 9:43
Players get injured, move to new clubs or discover new bursts of
• 9:47
form. That's part of what makes soccer
• 9:50
exciting. You never know who will rise
• 9:52
next. Maybe a name we didn't even
• 9:54
mention today will be at the top next year.
• 9:57
That brings us to the end of today's episode of Kid Cast
• 10:00
Daily. Now you know who the big scores
• 10:02
