Latest / International Flavor: Where the Truth Tastes Better / From Women’s Day Protests to Iran Oil Wars: Vice, Maduro, Hegseth, and America’s Habit of Selling Empire as Security
Transcript
- 0:00Hello, good morning, and welcome.
- 0:02I am Samuel Trapp.
- 0:03This is International Flavor.
- 0:05It is already Monday.
- 0:09Isn't that depressing?
- 0:10Oh, here we were having a nice sunny
- 0:13weekend.
- 0:13It was a beautiful day yesterday, talking about
- 0:17the International Day of Women Celebrations.
- 0:22I want to talk a little bit about
- 0:23that, because that is a holiday not very
- 0:26well represented in America, usually.
- 0:30It was a day of protest around the
- 0:32world yesterday, actually.
- 0:35Protests everywhere.
- 0:37There was one in, where was the one
- 0:39that they were doing that?
- 0:40Oh, it was in Spain.
- 0:41It was in Spain.
- 0:43There was a video of, so behind jail
- 0:49bars, there was Trump, there was Netanyahu, and
- 0:56Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, all behind bars in orange
- 1:03jumpsuits in Spain.
- 1:09I forget which city, but it was International
- 1:12Women's Day, and there was women marching all
- 1:14around the world against war.
- 1:17I don't remember there being a lot going
- 1:19on in America.
- 1:20Of course, we have protests every Sunday in
- 1:22America.
- 1:25You can always find somebody protesting.
- 1:28I remember the ones in Florida.
- 1:30You're just like, look, I just want a
- 1:32coffee.
- 1:32All I want is a coffee.
- 1:34Why are you marching around in front of
- 1:36my Starbucks?
- 1:37This is the one I like to go
- 1:38to.
- 1:38Couldn't you go somewhere else?
- 1:41But no.
- 1:43Let's see.
- 1:45Oh, here's a good one.
- 1:46The Voice of America layoffs have been overturned
- 1:49by a judge.
- 1:51Well, there you go.
- 1:52Voice of America.
- 1:55Voice of America is not journalism.
- 1:59Just for those of you who are wondering,
- 2:01that is the furthest thing from real stories
- 2:05that you get.
- 2:06But I tell you what, I watched a
- 2:10lot of a lot of stories over the
- 2:13weekend, and I tried, I mean, I'm telling
- 2:17you, I'm trying to be objective about this,
- 2:20and I'm having my own difficult time.
- 2:22Part of me wants to grab a sign
- 2:24and get marching, because what we're watching is
- 2:28as big a farce as it was during
- 2:35George W.
- 2:39Bush's time.
- 2:40I wish I could find the clip, and
- 2:43I haven't been able to find it.
- 2:48I never saw the movie.
- 2:50I only saw the clip, and I've seen
- 2:52this clip once before, but last night it
- 2:56was on Solovyov, and so I thought it
- 3:00was pretty damn comical that a clip of
- 3:04a severe left-wing show, and maybe somebody
- 3:09more gifted than I in finding clips can
- 3:15find this, but way back, way back, yeah,
- 3:19back in the good old days of 2018,
- 3:23when Sam Rockwell was playing George W., and
- 3:29Christian Bale was playing Dick Cheney in a
- 3:33movie called Vice, we got to see a,
- 3:39I sure wish there was the whole video
- 3:46somewhere, but I haven't been able to find
- 3:49it, and basically it was the show of,
- 3:54and Sam Rockwell, truthfully, is one of my
- 3:57favorite actors anyway.
- 3:59I just, I like that guy.
- 4:01I like listening to the guy.
- 4:04I think he's a hell of an actor.
- 4:09He's a hell of a dancer, apparently, too.
- 4:12You always see him on late-night shows
- 4:15doing cool dances.
- 4:21That dude is a mover and a shaker,
- 4:24but no, we don't get to see them,
- 4:26all they have out there on YouTube that
- 4:28I've been able to find lately are trailers,
- 4:31and he's a good, he's a pretty good
- 4:34George W.
- 4:36He really is, and so anyway, I might
- 4:40have to go back and find that clip
- 4:42for you, find the actual movie, download the
- 4:44movie, cut the clip, and actually do some
- 4:47work instead of just going out to YouTube
- 4:49and trying to find it, but last night,
- 4:52and it's pretty funny when a Russian commentator
- 4:58is using this as bait.
- 5:03He didn't say it was a history show.
- 5:06He said it was somewhat satirical, and well,
- 5:09somewhat.
- 5:10The whole thing's a bit loopy, but I'm
- 5:16much more inclined to, I don't know, forgive
- 5:22the overreach, I suppose, now that we know
- 5:25how blatantly foolish the whole Iraq BS of
- 5:33weapons of mass destruction was.
- 5:35I believe Dick Cheney was not anything but
- 5:39a liar.
- 5:40That's me, and no, you don't have to
- 5:42believe that.
- 5:43You can believe that he was one of
- 5:45the good guys if you'd like to.
- 5:46I don't, and part of me thinks that
- 5:50the Bush family was in it as well.
- 5:53I hate to think that way about any
- 5:55president.
- 5:56In fact, even the doddering old, he never
- 6:04should have been president.
- 6:04Somebody should have rescued him from himself, but
- 6:07I don't want to say anything just because
- 6:09he was old.
- 6:10Everybody gets old.
- 6:11That's how it is.
- 6:12I just hope that somebody stops me before
- 6:15I get that bad off, and certainly doesn't
- 6:20allow me to become president, which is pretty
- 6:25likely.
- 6:25I might become the president at some point.
- 6:28Who knows?
- 6:29But I think I'd be better suited on
- 6:33an international level than are our fearless leaders
- 6:36today, and that's probably the most brutal thing
- 6:40I will say about them.
- 6:41I don't want to beat up on them
- 6:43non-deservedly, but they deserve it, and this
- 6:49scam that they are selling us right now,
- 6:53and I really, really, really got pissed off
- 6:56yesterday, and all it took was the clip
- 7:00where there has been talk since day one
- 7:06in international news, and everybody knows it, and
- 7:10it's been dived into by other
- 7:20journalists, by other people, and even the Pentagon
- 7:23has tried to find out where the mistargeting,
- 7:30which is what they originally sold it as,
- 7:32took place.
- 7:34I brought it to you last week sometime
- 7:36about the girls' school where they killed, showed
- 7:40the burial, showed all the kids, showed the
- 7:43parents screaming, and showed the the leftover parts
- 7:50of the missiles.
- 7:53They showed them, and they're U.S. missiles.
- 7:56I mean, you know, they sent an international
- 7:59group there to look, and they've been checking
- 8:05this out, and they have Trump derangement syndrome
- 8:10with Carville.
- 8:12Carville's a nut anyway, but Carville's out there
- 8:15yelling and carrying on.
- 8:17He's embracing his Trump derangement syndrome that they
- 8:20gave to him, and Carville was always a
- 8:24cool guy.
- 8:28I think he's a lunatic, but he's funny.
- 8:32That guy's always been funny, and the way
- 8:34he talks.
- 8:35At any rate, this bombing of the girls'
- 8:40school.
- 8:41Now, when they took out Khomeini, and here's
- 8:44where I want you to look, okay?
- 8:46I want you to think about this, because
- 8:48this is how I think about it, and
- 8:50maybe I'm thinking incorrectly, but I don't want
- 8:52to be one of them nuts that just
- 8:54automatically says, you know, Trump bad, me good,
- 8:57or whatever, but this is bad news for
- 9:01all of us people.
- 9:02This is bad news, and it's always about
- 9:05the oil, always about the oil, always about
- 9:11the oil.
- 9:12Why is Maduro sitting in a federal jail
- 9:14cell up in, where is he, New York?
- 9:17Why is he sitting in there?
- 9:19He's sitting in there because Trump wanted his
- 9:21oil, and he saw that China was going
- 9:24to get a better grip on it than
- 9:26we are, so he stopped it.
- 9:28Now, some of you can support that.
- 9:31I don't.
- 9:32I don't like how it happened.
- 9:34I don't like being, if you're going to
- 9:36do that, sell it from the beginning.
- 9:38Don't lie about it.
- 9:40Don't tell me it's narco terror.
- 9:42Don't go blowing up a bunch of little
- 9:44boats so that we all get used to
- 9:47the idea of seeing how, geez, we're taking
- 9:50the right moves against this narco terror.
- 9:52Surely, we have to go after Maduro, who
- 9:54is nowhere close to the kingpin that they
- 9:57thought he was.
- 9:58If that's the case, why aren't we taking
- 9:59out Colombia?
- 10:01What about Nicaragua?
- 10:02I mean, it's like, come on.
- 10:06Don't lie to me, and that's the part
- 10:09that I don't like, is twisting all this
- 10:12crap and selling me a bill of goods
- 10:15that doesn't exist.
- 10:17That's the part I don't like.
- 10:19Don't go saying all the Venezuelan people are
- 10:22rooting for you as an American, because trust
- 10:26me, they aren't, and don't tell me that
- 10:29they don't want to run their own country.
- 10:30They'd prefer that, and they sure as hell
- 10:33don't want Donald Trump picking their president, and
- 10:36so what do we do?
- 10:38We take the most corrupt guy in Venezuela,
- 10:41and this is a friendly version of it.
- 10:44You take the most corrupt guy, and you
- 10:46put in the second most corrupt guy.
- 10:49Okay, yeah, because we threaten them, we scare
- 10:52the crap out of them, and say, well,
- 10:54you're next, bozo, and we'll come in, and
- 10:58we convince, we pay off a bunch of
- 11:00people with making them wealthy, and so that
- 11:02they help us, and then off we go,
- 11:04and then everybody forgets about it.
- 11:05You walk away.
- 11:07We forget about it.
- 11:07Well, it looks like we got 50 billion
- 11:09barrels of oil, Donald Trump says the next
- 11:11morning.
- 11:12That's not what he's, that's not what he
- 11:14sold me.
- 11:15He sold me this was narco-terrorism.
- 11:17There's been a dramatic decline in drugs coming
- 11:21the country.
- 11:21Oh, really?
- 11:24Trust me, the people who want their drugs
- 11:28are gonna find them, okay, Donald Trump, and
- 11:32they're not going to Venezuela to get them,
- 11:34and they weren't anyway, and so it's, that's
- 11:38a nonsensical proposition.
- 11:40It always has been, and you sold it
- 11:43to me, but the trouble is Donald Trump
- 11:45is a dude who comes clean the very
- 11:47next day.
- 11:48Well, we wanted that oil.
- 11:50What are they after now?
- 11:51Seriously, in Iran, what are they after?
- 11:53If you believe the movie Vice, it was,
- 11:57there was a whole lecture that Solovyov showed.
- 12:00It was pretty funny, and it was the
- 12:02lecture by Dick Cheney about the grand jewel
- 12:05of them all.
- 12:05We have bases all around it.
- 12:08We have bases everywhere in the country.
- 12:11I mean, I'm sorry, everywhere in the Middle
- 12:13East except Iran, and if we could just
- 12:18get Iran, 80% of their oil is
- 12:21going to China, and that's true.
- 12:2580% of their oil is going to
- 12:29China, and where does most of it get
- 12:32refined and processed?
- 12:34A little island, a little island right off
- 12:39the Straits of Hormuz, which name I forget,
- 12:43and that is the next target of a
- 12:46military operation.
- 12:48Nobody will let him keep it, though, whether
- 12:51it's Iran or anyone else.
- 12:55The U.S. won't take it, and it'll
- 12:56stay there, trust me.
- 12:57The Iranians will blow it up themselves, and
- 13:00they aren't going to give that to Donald
- 13:02Trump.
- 13:03It's not going to happen.
- 13:04Why do we have five groups, Navy groups,
- 13:11aircraft carrier groups, going?
- 13:15Five.
- 13:16Seven, if you count the one coming from
- 13:19France and the late one, we don't need
- 13:22you, Trump says to Starmer.
- 13:25You're late.
- 13:26You don't need to come because you're late.
- 13:29Oh, and you're early.
- 13:30You know, you're late, too.
- 13:33You didn't think this well enough through.
- 13:36You know, I said at the beginning, and
- 13:38many people say the same thing.
- 13:41If Iran can make it through the two
- 13:45weeks to get past, and we're what, nine
- 13:49days in?
- 13:51Nine days in to this horror story that
- 13:59we shouldn't be involved in in the first
- 14:00place, where Hegseth, do you see, that guy
- 14:04looked like an idiot yesterday, standing behind Trump,
- 14:07shaking his head like one of them little,
- 14:09the bobblehead dolls, you know?
- 14:13Yeah, yeah, we got this.
- 14:16We're kicking the crap out of him.
- 14:19That guy's, he's like the football, the bench
- 14:23player sitting on the football field, and I
- 14:26was having a discussion, who the hell was
- 14:27I discussing this with over the weekend, that
- 14:30Hegseth just reminds me of a guy who
- 14:33in high school either didn't make the football
- 14:37team at all, or he made the football
- 14:40team, but he got, you know, they let
- 14:41him carry the ball, you know, once on
- 14:44his final game so that he, you know,
- 14:46could claim glory days of some sort, and
- 14:50that's Hegeseth's military career, okay?
- 14:53He, you know, what was he, a major
- 14:56or something, and so they placed him in
- 14:59charge of all these generals, and so right
- 15:01now he gets to tell them, well, geez,
- 15:03you should have promoted me a hell of
- 15:05a lot quicker, you know, I should have
- 15:06been in charge of the world way back
- 15:08then, and old Trump is the only one
- 15:10who sees my worth.
- 15:11No, I see that you're over your head,
- 15:14and that's where you are.
- 15:15It'd be like putting me in charge of
- 15:17the Pentagon.
- 15:17I was a sergeant, for God's sake.
- 15:19I never learned the skills that generals learned,
- 15:22and I just never did, and frankly, I
- 15:25think if you're gonna put somebody in charge
- 15:28of a military mission, sure as hell ain't
- 15:32Pete Hegeseth, and that guy, he's over his
- 15:38head, and so all he can do is
- 15:40bob his head and not deny, although I
- 15:44will give him credit.
- 15:45What he said was when they're on Air
- 15:48Force One, and Trump's talking about, oh, yeah,
- 15:51Iran blew up their own people, their own
- 15:53kids.
- 15:53You know, they saw girls and a half
- 15:55over there, and they behead all their women.
- 15:57What in the hell are you talking about?
- 15:59That is not accurate at all.
- 16:04Am I saying it hasn't happened in the
- 16:05past?
- 16:06Sure it has, and in all likelihood.
- 16:09Was I there?
- 16:10Did I see it?
- 16:10No.
- 16:11Is that something that happens today?
- 16:13That is not what's going on in Iran,
- 16:16and if you believe that, you got a
- 16:18bigger problem than Donald Trump.
- 16:20You got a bigger problem than that.
- 16:22You don't understand your history at all, and
- 16:25you don't understand your cultural things at all,
- 16:29and so I encourage you to learn, if
- 16:32you care, because there's 60 percent of America
- 16:36right now.
- 16:37Do you know that little swing vote part,
- 16:40that 60 percent?
- 16:43There's 60 percent of the country against this
- 16:47war, and it's growing.
- 16:49It's not shrinking.
- 16:51They showed something on TV the other day
- 16:54that just pissed me off to no end,
- 16:56and I'm reasonably religious.
- 16:58I have my beliefs.
- 16:59I don't talk about them, but I've got
- 17:02my own beliefs.
- 17:03I was sickened to watch a blessing of
- 17:09the president in office.
- 17:12Those things do not mix.
- 17:14If we're running the world like, oh gee,
- 17:19God's chosen, that is wrong.
- 17:23It's just as wrong as claiming Netanyahu's God's
- 17:26gift to the planet.
- 17:27He is not, and it forgives everything that
- 17:32they are allowed to do.
- 17:34It forgives it.
- 17:36It says, oh geez, well he just killed
- 17:39an infidel.
- 17:39That's great.
- 17:40He's killing infidels.
- 17:42Infidels are people too.
- 17:44Whether you believe them infidels, they believe you're
- 17:47an infidel, and this is why the world
- 17:50needs to calm the hell down and come
- 17:53down a few notches.
- 17:56This is such crap, and I tell you
- 18:00what.
- 18:01I've been ranting here for a little while.
- 18:03I want to get back to my topic
- 18:05part because I did go through quite a
- 18:08bit of this over the weekend.
- 18:13Let's see.
- 18:14I had to go look up my thing.
- 18:16Here's what it discovered whilst I was sitting
- 18:18here.
- 18:19The film you are thinking of is Vice.
- 18:23It's the 2018 political biographical film directed by
- 18:27Adam McKay.
- 18:29Christian Bale plays Dick Cheney, and Sam Rockwell
- 18:33plays George W.
- 18:35Bush.
- 18:35Did you ever see Rockwell in that movie
- 18:37called Moon?
- 18:40That was good stuff.
- 18:42You should watch it if you get a
- 18:43chance.
- 18:45I wonder who that is.
- 18:48Well, these damn TVs, they're killing me.
- 18:51The movie satirically dramatizes how Cheney shaped US
- 18:56foreign policy and the road to the Iraq
- 19:00war.
- 19:00The scene I'm remembering.
- 19:02In the film, there's a famous scene where
- 19:05Cheney is discussing Middle East strategy and the
- 19:08strategic value of controlling the region's energy resources.
- 19:14The idea presented in the scene, and it
- 19:18is the real prize in the Middle East
- 19:21geopolitical game isn't Iraq itself.
- 19:25The quote is, the big gold piece in
- 19:29the center of the room is Iran.
- 19:32The movie frames Iran as the central strategic
- 19:35target in a long-term regional strategy involving
- 19:40Iraq, energy routes, and power projection in the
- 19:44Gulf.
- 19:46On Russian political shows, they do use that
- 19:50scene because it's an American Hollywood film.
- 19:53It criticizes US policy from inside the US
- 19:56itself, and it's a rhetorical device.
- 20:00Look, even America made movies about this.
- 20:03And I would like the exact clip.
- 20:08Pull.
- 20:10I wonder if it'll really do this for
- 20:12me.
- 20:12Pull the clip and tell me where I
- 20:18can show it.
- 20:20How about that?
- 20:21Let's see what happens if that shows up
- 20:24in the meantime.
- 20:25Meanwhile, I want to get to some of
- 20:28the news pieces.
- 20:30Mojtaba Khamenei was named as Iran's next supreme
- 20:34leader.
- 20:35It looks very much like his father did
- 20:3730, 40 years ago.
- 20:42I tell you what, the Israelis are saying,
- 20:48look, it doesn't matter.
- 20:50And this sickens me as well, okay?
- 20:53And this truly happened over the weekend.
- 20:56And Trump says, by the way, $100 a
- 20:59barrel is a very small price to pay
- 21:02for Iran war.
- 21:04That's it.
- 21:05That's it.
- 21:05It's a small price to pay.
- 21:07What about the trillions we're going to spend
- 21:09on getting involved in another conflict that we
- 21:14don't need to get involved in?
- 21:16I am just sickened.
- 21:18I hope he ain't sending any of my
- 21:20sons over there.
- 21:21The Israeli army says it will target Ayatollah
- 21:26Khamenei's successor amid the ongoing war in the
- 21:30Mideast.
- 21:31These people are sick, okay?
- 21:33This is sick.
- 21:34And their politicians are, if anything, worse than
- 21:38ours, okay?
- 21:40The Israeli defense force has threatened to assassinate
- 21:44anyone that replaces Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as Iran's
- 21:49supreme leader.
- 21:49Now, these decapitation strikes are BS anyway.
- 21:57Arguably, they could have done the same thing
- 21:59to Maduro, but at least they allowed him
- 22:03to live in a prison.
- 22:05These kings of the world, I'm the king
- 22:07of the world.
- 22:08I wonder why DiCaprio is not the king
- 22:10of the world.
- 22:11I thought he was, but apparently it's Trump.
- 22:13Trump gets to pick, according to Trump, he
- 22:16gets to pick the next leader of Iran.
- 22:21Oh, that's going to go over like a
- 22:22lead balloon.
- 22:23Yeah, he gets to pick who, just like
- 22:29in Venezuela, we're taking over the world.
- 22:36Now he says he's going to do it
- 22:38to Cuba.
- 22:39The guy's a nut.
- 22:41I can't wait for the three years to
- 22:43be over.
- 22:44I got to tell you, if this is
- 22:45the world that we got to live in,
- 22:47I can't wait for this to end.
- 22:49This is bad news all around.
- 22:53Do you know, I saw a report yesterday
- 22:55that the only sane voice in the room,
- 23:00the only sane voice in the room, and
- 23:03where's he been lately, is J.D. Vance.
- 23:09You don't see him, yeah, you don't see
- 23:14him Pete Hegsething it everywhere.
- 23:15You don't see him slapping backs and carrying
- 23:18on.
- 23:19You don't see him Rubio in it.
- 23:21No, no, no.
- 23:23And you don't see him hanging out and
- 23:25going to dinner with, or traveling to Israel
- 23:30or to Ukraine with the evil congressional folks.
- 23:38You don't get to watch him doing that.
- 23:41The people have dreamed about this.
- 23:43All the neocons have been dreaming about this.
- 23:46Our nation is back, bigger, better, richer.
- 23:49Yeah, Donald Trump, stand with him.
- 23:53Get your prayer shawls on and stand with
- 23:55him.
- 23:56I'm against that.
- 23:57I don't like mixing religion and state.
- 24:02I don't like it.
- 24:03There are too many people who disagree with
- 24:04that point of view.
- 24:06And with the, what do you call it,
- 24:13religion and state shouldn't go together.
- 24:15And I'm really starting to worry about our
- 24:17fearless leader.
- 24:19Anyway, Khomeini and several other senior Iranian officials
- 24:24were killed in the very first wave.
- 24:26By the way, that school that they blew
- 24:29up was one of the schools where their
- 24:33children went.
- 24:35Okay.
- 24:36That's why I believe that it was either
- 24:39targeted specifically, or they were attacking some buildings
- 24:44next door that housed a lot of the
- 24:48leadership.
- 24:51But what difference does it make?
- 24:53Why in the world would you say that
- 24:55on the day that you killed the top
- 24:5840 leaders in the nation that you didn't
- 25:03kill their children too?
- 25:05I mean, it just makes no sense that,
- 25:09oh gee, there are 40 missiles floating around
- 25:14killing 40 separate people in 40 distinct locations.
- 25:18And then one the same day to blow
- 25:21up a school, right?
- 25:23That the Iranian sent themselves, they blew up
- 25:26their own children for the better, you know,
- 25:28the better good, right?
- 25:30Nonsense.
- 25:31And nobody believes that, including Donald Trump.
- 25:34He's selling you something.
- 25:35Pete Higgs sat in the back and said,
- 25:37oh yeah, boy, the only ones that target
- 25:41civilians, the only ones that target civilians are
- 25:44Iran.
- 25:46Where the hell did you pull that out
- 25:47of your ass?
- 25:48It's like, what did you target?
- 25:51Day one, civilian leadership of Iran.
- 25:57And now you're denying it on a plane.
- 26:00The only ones that target civilians are us,
- 26:02right?
- 26:03The only ones that target and decapitation strikes,
- 26:07you think Putin couldn't take out a decapitation
- 26:10strike Ukraine?
- 26:12They don't fight that way.
- 26:14Only Netanyahu and George Bush and Donald Trump
- 26:19fight that way.
- 26:20That is not, it is unacceptable to me.
- 26:24That's not how you fight.
- 26:26We are intentionally causing chaos, intentionally trying to
- 26:33cause chaos.
- 26:34There's plenty of reports out there.
- 26:36I forget who it was.
- 26:37It wasn't Sachs.
- 26:39It was somebody else.
- 26:41And I watched another show by that Khazin.
- 26:44He must have had a really good show
- 26:46the other day because he's gone from wearing
- 26:51normal, regular clothes like I would wear.
- 26:54Today, I'm wearing a pullover, button up, and
- 26:59that's what he would do.
- 27:00Well, I tell you what, he had his
- 27:02own show.
- 27:02He stepped it up a little bit, has
- 27:04Mikhail Khazin, and now he's got a formal
- 27:09background, a real podcast setting, movie podcast, YouTube
- 27:14channel.
- 27:16But I've listened to him for a while.
- 27:20I think he's smart.
- 27:21And now he's wearing a suit and tie,
- 27:29which is cool.
- 27:30I'm okay with that.
- 27:32It just, there it is.
- 27:33But the statement, Khomeini and several other officials,
- 27:36after a week of deliberations, the assembly of
- 27:39experts, a body of clerics tasked with vetting
- 27:42and selecting a new supreme leader, announced Monday
- 27:45that Khomeini's son, Moshtaba, has been chosen to
- 27:49succeed him.
- 27:50In a statement posted on the IDF's Farsi
- 27:53account hours before, the Israeli army issued a
- 27:57warning to its members.
- 27:59The hand of the state of Israel will
- 28:02continue to pursue every successor and every person
- 28:07involved in his appointment, the IDF said, adding
- 28:11that it would not hesitate to target the
- 28:13clerics attending the assembly meetings.
- 28:16This is who we're supporting, people that are
- 28:20targeting religious leaders.
- 28:25They are extremely warlike, and they can be
- 28:31because they got Donald Trump on a leash,
- 28:33and that's what they got.
- 28:36Pete Hegseth on a leash, just like they
- 28:39had leaders before him.
- 28:42It's no different than it has been for
- 28:44at least my lifetime.
- 28:46Last week, Israel struck the assembly's headquarters in
- 28:50Qom, but the attack failed to derail the
- 28:53selection of the new leader.
- 28:56Ali Larijani, Iran's top security official, said Moshtaba
- 29:00Khomeini's appointment demonstrates that the U.S. and
- 29:03Israel failed to use Ali Khomeini's death to
- 29:06sow chaos in the country.
- 29:08U.S. President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister
- 29:11Netanyahu both cite regime change as the war
- 29:16goal, that and stealing oil, right?
- 29:21Trump has demanded unconditional surrender and said the
- 29:24Supreme Leader won't last long unless Iran bows
- 29:29to his demands.
- 29:31Iranian officials and the military have vowed to
- 29:33continue their resistance.
- 29:39The surge in oil prices won't stop the
- 29:42U.S. from waging war on Iran, Trump
- 29:44says, after Brent crude is now past $100
- 29:48a barrel Sunday, the biggest daily gain since
- 29:52COVID-19.
- 29:53In response to the U.S. and Israeli
- 29:55airstrikes, Iran has closed the Straits of Hormuz
- 29:58and struck tankers attempting to cross the waterway,
- 30:02which serve as a route for one-fifth,
- 30:05some say it's one-fourth, of the world's
- 30:08oil supply, or even a third.
- 30:10Iraq, the UAE, and Kuwait, all major oil
- 30:14producers have cut output after running out of
- 30:17storage space.
- 30:19On true social, naturally you have to rule
- 30:22by true social, Trump downplayed the effects of
- 30:25the war on global trade.
- 30:27Short-term oil prices, which will drop rapidly
- 30:31when the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat,
- 30:33this isn't about the nuclear threat, this has
- 30:36nothing to do with a nuclear threat, is
- 30:40a very small price to pay for USA
- 30:43and world safety and peace.
- 30:47Only fools will think differently.
- 30:49Well, sir, I'm a fool then, because I
- 30:53don't believe a word you're saying.
- 30:55And if you were smart, not him, but
- 30:58you, listener, you'd go and listen to some
- 31:01reality checks as well.
- 31:04During his campaign, Trump promised cheaper gas and
- 31:08no war.
- 31:10There was something I saw.
- 31:13What was it?
- 31:14It was the head of the front cover
- 31:18of a magazine.
- 31:20What was it?
- 31:21Times?
- 31:22I don't know what it was.
- 31:23It was a Time magazine, was it?
- 31:26That showed the wars that Trump has started.
- 31:30And he didn't get his much-desired Nobel
- 31:37Peace Prize, and it's a good thing he
- 31:39didn't.
- 31:41It's a good thing he didn't, because he
- 31:43doesn't deserve it.
- 31:45First, he was stretching the other ones that
- 31:47he settled in a day, and he can't
- 31:50settle the Ukraine, he hasn't started other ones,
- 31:54he's going to blow up Greenland, he's going
- 31:56to take over Cuba.
- 31:59This is a peacetime precedent for sure, right?
- 32:02And there's a bunch of people out there
- 32:05thumping their Bibles and getting ready to go
- 32:07to war on behalf of Israel.
- 32:10It makes no sense to me at all.
- 32:13But during the re-election campaign, I actually
- 32:16was on the side of the Trumpster.
- 32:22I've never been on the side of the
- 32:24Trumpster internationally.
- 32:26I've always been worried about that, because he's
- 32:29just another arm of the neocon world, unfortunately.
- 32:36And they are certainly in charge of him
- 32:38now, at least as far as everything that
- 32:43he's doing.
- 32:43He's not making these choices himself, in no
- 32:46way.
- 32:47I doubt he even understands them, to be
- 32:49truthful.
- 32:50Um, let's see.
- 32:52American Automobile Association stated that the national average
- 32:56price of regular gasoline has risen by 15
- 33:00percent over the past week, to $3.45
- 33:03a gallon.
- 33:05Some areas reporting 30 percent.
- 33:08I've told you, mine right here, it wasn't,
- 33:11uh, in fact, it was just about two
- 33:13weeks ago, where I said that I paid
- 33:16$2.69. $2.69 for gas.
- 33:24And I had heard that there was a
- 33:26$2.49 somewhere, under $2.50. And, uh,
- 33:33now, we are at $3.45 a gallon
- 33:38on average.
- 33:40I'll have to look out the window, um,
- 33:43uh, on my way to, uh, the office
- 33:47later, and see what, uh, where the places
- 33:51are that I pay, what they have gone
- 33:55up to.
- 33:56And that idiot Besant was out the other
- 34:00day.
- 34:00What a nut!
- 34:02This guy, you never know what the hell
- 34:04he's gonna say.
- 34:05And I shouldn't call him an idiot, that's
- 34:07not nice.
- 34:08That, that is, but, but what is he
- 34:11selling?
- 34:12This guy is out there, he's like a
- 34:14cheerleader, too.
- 34:15And he's doing the same thing.
- 34:17Guess what he said?
- 34:18He said, he said that Donald Trump has
- 34:22given permission.
- 34:24Here's, he has been given permission to, he
- 34:28has given permission to Modi and India to
- 34:32buy Russian oil for a month.
- 34:35They never needed your permission.
- 34:37They never took your permission.
- 34:39In fact, they never quit buying Russian oil.
- 34:42And now, why in the world are we
- 34:44trying to make it sound like they stopped?
- 34:47They didn't.
- 34:48Have you listened to anything that these people
- 34:51say and have said over the last six
- 34:54months?
- 34:54No.
- 34:55It's our, it's our, uh, one of the,
- 35:00one of the key elements that we need
- 35:02to work with.
- 35:03You don't get to dictate how much we
- 35:05pay for oil.
- 35:05You don't get to.
- 35:07Sorry, that's not how it works.
- 35:09And, and, and they haven't done it.
- 35:12And they haven't, um, you know, succumbed to
- 35:15the tariffs.
- 35:16And, and I, I think that there's a
- 35:19lot of negatives going on in the old
- 35:21Trumpster regime these days.
- 35:23And it's, um, it's, these are not good
- 35:28times that we are living in.
- 35:30Uh, but here goes Besson.
- 35:32First of all, he claims on Friday that
- 35:35Washington is exploring additional measures to lower oil
- 35:39prices.
- 35:40Gee, I wonder what they are.
- 35:41He has unsanctioned Russian oil.
- 35:45He says that he's going to lift all
- 35:47sanctions on Russian oil.
- 35:49But I thought they were the antichrist too.
- 35:53We just, well, you know, that's not important
- 35:56anymore.
- 35:58Ukraine, that's not important.
- 36:00We don't care.
- 36:01It never was important by the way, but,
- 36:04but now it's, it's, you know, well, we're,
- 36:07we're just going to unsanction that oil.
- 36:08We can sanction it again.
- 36:10Once we, once we, uh, uh, seize control
- 36:13of, uh, the oil fields in Iran or
- 36:15destroy them or destroy that Island whose name
- 36:19I can't recall.
- 36:21Um, Oh boy.
- 36:24Energy secretary, Chris Wright pledges to bring gasoline
- 36:28back below $3 a gallon before too long.
- 36:31Well, that's, that's commitment before too long.
- 36:35I'm going to stop cheating on my wife
- 36:37before too long.
- 36:39That's a great, that's a great measuring stick.
- 36:42Isn't before too long.
- 36:44Thank you, Mr. Chris.
- 36:46Right.
- 36:48Last week, the treasury formally allowed, formally allowed
- 36:52India to temporarily buy oil from Russia with
- 36:57Besant saying the U S could potentially unsanctioned
- 37:00more of Russia's energy exports.
- 37:03Remember I told you last week that they
- 37:05were on behalf of Mertz in Germany because
- 37:08Mertz came over and he, he bent the
- 37:10knee to the old Trumpster and said, uh,
- 37:13please, please, please let us buy oil through
- 37:17Luke oil and Rosneft in, um, in Germany,
- 37:21you know, you sanction them and boy, we
- 37:23can't have that.
- 37:24And so guess what happened on behalf of
- 37:28Mertz?
- 37:28They allowed that to happen.
- 37:30JP Morgan, chief economist, Bruce, Bruce Kassman told
- 37:35Reuters that the near term scenario could see
- 37:39cruise prices spike to $120 a barrel before
- 37:46settling at an $80 a barrel level throughout
- 37:51the mid year.
- 37:52If the conflict persists, Russian presidential investment envoy
- 37:57Kirill Dmitriev said on Monday that oil prices
- 38:01will exceed $200 a barrel in the event
- 38:05of a prolonged conflict.
- 38:08Yeah.
- 38:09They better unsanctioned that Russian oil or the
- 38:13U S is going to pay and who,
- 38:14and who's better Russia or Iran.
- 38:16Now there's talk that in the Eastern half
- 38:18of Iran, that, uh, in the, the Eastern
- 38:21half, which hasn't been beat up upon yet,
- 38:24China and Russia are still there and, uh,
- 38:28uh, China and Russia are fueling that.
- 38:34Um, there's plenty more news that I wanted
- 38:36to get into, but I also wanted to
- 38:38go back through, uh, where is Maduro?
- 38:42I wanted to say where he was.
- 38:43Let's get to, uh, the Hegseth credibility problem.
- 38:48Um, he said this, uh, uh, school strike
- 38:52was under, um, uh, was under, um, investigation
- 39:00by the Pentagon and in his own, you
- 39:04know, when he wasn't in an airplane standing
- 39:06behind Trump, he said that they were checking
- 39:09into it.
- 39:10And, uh, he was very, uh, flustered at
- 39:13that time.
- 39:14It, and this was his, uh, briefing on,
- 39:17uh, what was it Friday?
- 39:19Let's see.
- 39:20I want to go to, uh, I want
- 39:23to get to this.
- 39:25Uh, he, cause that's not what he said
- 39:28earlier.
- 39:29And this is even Reuters says the earliest
- 39:37U S assessment points toward us being responsible
- 39:41for that.
- 39:42And that's Reuters and, uh, you know, Trump
- 39:46trying to deflect attention by going, they cut
- 39:49babies in half there.
- 39:50Yeah.
- 39:51Happens every day.
- 39:53Um, that's how public trust is broken with
- 39:56certainty vagueness.
- 39:58And now suddenly we're up to, well, it's
- 40:00an ongoing review.
- 40:01You know, we're not the ones that target
- 40:03people.
- 40:03They are.
- 40:04Yeah.
- 40:05Yeah.
- 40:07Nuts.
- 40:08Um, Missouri Maduro has disappeared from the headlines,
- 40:11but he's still in a holding facility.
- 40:14Um, the bigger question is not where is
- 40:17he, but why has any, you know, once
- 40:20the regime change spectacle is over, nobody cares
- 40:23anymore.
- 40:23It's over onto the next regime change, right?
- 40:27Um, oil is the recurring ghost in the
- 40:30room here.
- 40:31Where are we?
- 40:32Venezuela oil, Iran oil, Iraq oil.
- 40:40Um, let's see the, the, the official excuse
- 40:46making lines.
- 40:47Uh, they don't line up with strategic reality.
- 40:50Uh, NATO speaks in lawyerly half sentences.
- 40:55Washington wants to manage fallout from this ugly
- 40:59civilian strike story.
- 41:00Do you know, I usually like watching, what's
- 41:03her name?
- 41:03Uh, Trump's girl, uh, speaking in front of
- 41:06the white house.
- 41:07I forget her name.
- 41:08And, uh, uh, that, that gets to talk
- 41:10all the time.
- 41:10And she's usually pretty well-spoken.
- 41:12She sounded like a cheerleader and a religious
- 41:15nut.
- 41:15Uh, the other day, I don't like that
- 41:18in a, uh, in a press secretary.
- 41:20I think that's just wrong.
- 41:24So, uh, that I don't, I don't like
- 41:27that.
- 41:28Um, the Russian official line is, uh, the
- 41:34similar to mine.
- 41:35So I read this, this morning in here,
- 41:37but I, but I'm telling you what, I've
- 41:39been having trouble with this all weekend.
- 41:41Um, watching the U S official channels get
- 41:45nuttier and nuttier as we go.
- 41:48The official line from Maria Zakharova is, uh,
- 41:52another reckless U S Israeli escalation, unlawful according
- 41:57to UN charter.
- 41:58They haven't followed that.
- 42:00They never do.
- 42:01Um, regional wrecking, which says we have a
- 42:05very big habit of that and spilling outward.
- 42:08Um, she described the crisis as the result
- 42:12of an unprovoked U S and Israel attack
- 42:15in Iran.
- 42:16It's always that way.
- 42:18They didn't attack first Iran did not attack
- 42:21Israel first.
- 42:22And now they like to claim, uh, you
- 42:24know, they, they like to claim that everything,
- 42:26everything is blamed on Iran, everything.
- 42:30And, uh, so used to be, well, who
- 42:33are we taking out the Palestinians?
- 42:36Now, forget it.
- 42:38It's not the Palestinians.
- 42:39We're after, we're after Iran.
- 42:40It's Iran.
- 42:41Everybody, you hear them all chanting Iran, but
- 42:44they don't know crap.
- 42:45They don't know this history.
- 42:48They just don't.
- 42:50And that is not the middle East.
- 42:52Okay.
- 42:52They're also trying to claim the Turkmenistan that
- 42:55Azerbaijan, that some of these places are gonna,
- 42:57uh, effectively, um, like, like, like the, uh,
- 43:03Kurdish people in there, uh, on the Eastern
- 43:07half of Iraq that they're going to be,
- 43:09they're going to be the ground forces.
- 43:11They've said no to that.
- 43:12There were two or three reports on that,
- 43:15uh, that, uh, the old Trumpster has been
- 43:17trying to get them in on the game.
- 43:20Um, the U S hasn't put enough ground
- 43:24troops into, um, the region like they did
- 43:28before the Iraq war.
- 43:29We had like some hundred thousand on the
- 43:32ground, uh, before invading Iraq, complete with all
- 43:38their tanks and everything.
- 43:40That is, hasn't been prepared for here.
- 43:44They, they truly thought, you know, did Hegseth
- 43:47and his, and his, uh, and his cronies
- 43:50up at the top thought that, um, a
- 43:54few missiles would, uh, be enough to, uh,
- 43:59to take them down.
- 44:01Um, let's see, I have another couple of
- 44:08stories.
- 44:08Let's get to something lighter than this.
- 44:12Uh, let's see.
- 44:15Israel has threatened the new leader and this
- 44:19one just came out.
- 44:20Um, Donald Trump has warned also that, let's
- 44:28see.
- 44:28Oh, here's Lindsey Graham.
- 44:29Again, Trump issued a similar warning to the
- 44:34IDF saying that they're going to kill the
- 44:37next leader.
- 44:37And, Iran's next leader won't last long without
- 44:41U S approval said that I ran must
- 44:44comply with Trump's demands to avoid further escalation.
- 44:48I wonder where Trump figured out that he
- 44:52was the King.
- 44:54I really wonder this and I've never seen
- 44:58anything like this in my lifetime where, uh,
- 45:04the president comes out and demand, demand, demand
- 45:08in this way, you know, in the way
- 45:12that he's doing.
- 45:13And he just so blunt about it.
- 45:16And it's like, who in the world do
- 45:18you think you are?
- 45:19And, and why does international law not apply
- 45:25to you?
- 45:26And, and this is troubling to me, you
- 45:30know, at least other people pretended to, uh,
- 45:34uh, follow international law.
- 45:36He doesn't even, he makes no bones about
- 45:38it.
- 45:39He doesn't have to, he does what he
- 45:41wants.
- 45:42And that is that, and the worst scenario
- 45:45is Netanyahu's right there with him.
- 45:49That guy's a lunatic and has been forever.
- 45:52You know, he just, he's finally got a
- 45:55willing, uh, a willing, um, I don't know,
- 45:58lackey in the U S uh, because it
- 46:01sure as hell isn't, isn't Trump in charge
- 46:04here or at least that got us in
- 46:07now he has to show that he didn't
- 46:09make the wrong decision.
- 46:11And so therefore he's going to make it
- 46:14look like all this was his doing and,
- 46:17uh, and, and the only way he can
- 46:19do that is one Upsmanship.
- 46:20He has to go larger.
- 46:22He has to go bigger, bigger, harder.
- 46:25He has to bring in five aircraft carrier
- 46:28groups.
- 46:29That's what he's got to do.
- 46:30And, uh, Israeli defense forces, Trump issues, the
- 46:34warning, uh, Senator Lindsey Graham, of course, as
- 46:37told Fox news at Washington will make tons
- 46:41of money.
- 46:42If it succeeds in overthrowing Iranian leadership, Graham
- 46:47and, uh, Graham and, uh, uh, what's his
- 46:50name?
- 46:52Uh, Christian bail need to get together and,
- 46:55uh, you know, they can both act as
- 46:57if a Dick Cheney is still in the
- 46:59room.
- 47:00Uh, Graham made the remarks as global prices
- 47:03surged to a hundred dollars barrel with the
- 47:05Strait of Hormuz shipping route closed.
- 47:08Iran has closed the waterway, which carries a
- 47:11fifth of the world's oil supply and struck
- 47:14tankers attempting to pass through in retaliation for
- 47:17the U S Israeli strikes.
- 47:19Trump has dismissed this spike in oil prices.
- 47:23It's a very small price to pay.
- 47:25He says for the U S Israeli war
- 47:28and that they will drop rapidly when destruction
- 47:31of the nuclear threat is over.
- 47:32This is not about a nuclear threat.
- 47:37I ran a state.
- 47:37It has no ambition to make a nuclear
- 47:39weapon.
- 47:41Can't believe that.
- 47:42Can we, as of Monday, the U S
- 47:44Israel attacks have killed 1,255 Iranian civilians.
- 47:50According to data from Iran, the single deadliest
- 47:53incident was, uh, I can't speak incident was
- 47:57a strike on a girl's school in Manab
- 48:00killing 168 children.
- 48:03The U S Israeli strikes on oil facilities
- 48:05near Tehran have produced a black rain of
- 48:09toxic oil and soot online images and footage
- 48:13show thick smog over the Capitol residents report
- 48:17breathing difficulties.
- 48:19Iran's red Crescent society warned that the rain
- 48:22could be highly dangerous and acidic and pose
- 48:25serious health risks.
- 48:28U S central command says eight soldiers have
- 48:31died in operations linked to Iran.
- 48:35At least 13 Israelis have been killed so
- 48:38far in crossfire.
- 48:40Iran's retaliatory strikes on U S bases have
- 48:43killed at least four in the UAE, six
- 48:46in Kuwait, two in Saudi Arabia.
- 48:49Trump claims that U S forces has significantly
- 48:52degraded Tehran's Naval and missile capabilities, saying they
- 48:57have sunk all Iranian ships and destroyed most
- 49:00missile launch platforms with only 20% remaining.
- 49:04Is that a Donald Trump 20% or
- 49:07a real 20% Uh, Russia's proposing UN
- 49:11security council resolution urging members to express, uh,
- 49:15concern over the current military escalation in the
- 49:19middle East, as well as to mourn the
- 49:21loss of life.
- 49:22It also urges all parties to stop their
- 49:25military activities condemned in the strongest terms, all
- 49:28attacks against civilians and return to negotiations.
- 49:33Uh, Turkish air defenses intercepted an Iranian ballistic
- 49:37missile with some degree falling near the city
- 49:41of Gaziantep, not far from the Syrian border
- 49:45said the defense ministry saying that there were
- 49:48no, uh, injuries.
- 49:52Um, let's see.
- 49:56I wanted to, because Turkey is no huge
- 50:01friend to Israel.
- 50:04Let's see.
- 50:06Well, Ankara become Jerusalem's next target.
- 50:13Let's see.
- 50:15Former Israeli prime minister Naftali Bennett recently made
- 50:20a bold statement regarding Turkey and its president
- 50:24receptor you part of gun effectively laboring and
- 50:28Cara as a new strategic threat to Israeli
- 50:31security.
- 50:32Here we go.
- 50:35Bennett accused Turkey of supporting Iran and several
- 50:39groups in the middle East that Israeli Israel
- 50:43classifies as terrorist organizations.
- 50:46All you got to do is yell terror,
- 50:48narco terror, you know, in the U S
- 50:52terror, terror in Israel.
- 50:54And suddenly you get to blow up whoever
- 50:56you want.
- 50:56Just call them a terrorist.
- 50:58These terrorizers, we got to go get them
- 51:00in an interview.
- 51:01Bennett described her to gun as a sophisticated
- 51:05and dangerous adversary who wants to encircle Israel.
- 51:10He urged Israel and its allies, not to
- 51:13turn a blind eye to in car as
- 51:15actions and develop a comprehensive policy of containment.
- 51:19So now Israel has to contain Turkey.
- 51:28Isn't that great?
- 51:33No.
- 51:33Why is mom Bonnie's wife on the TV
- 51:36here?
- 51:36What is the story with this?
- 51:38We might have to look at this.
- 51:42Hmm.
- 51:45Well, they're saying she faces scrutiny for terrorizing
- 51:48anyway.
- 51:50Then it's a assertion about the emergence of
- 51:52what he termed a monstrous axis of Islamic
- 51:56political forces deserves attention.
- 52:00He claims that Qatar and Turkey acting in
- 52:03Syria and Gaza are bolstering networks linked to
- 52:07the Muslim brotherhood.
- 52:08By the way, I wanted to bring up
- 52:10the attacks that, uh, that perhaps Qatar should
- 52:20forgive or forget about the, uh, the targeting
- 52:26of U.S. bases in, uh, in its
- 52:30own country.
- 52:32Why they didn't say crap about the, uh,
- 52:35the targeting by Israel using their, you know,
- 52:39launching into their airspace and attacking, uh, who
- 52:43they got to say are our enemies.
- 52:47Anybody can cross the state if you're Israel
- 52:50and nobody will do anything in the U
- 52:52.S. will stand up for it.
- 52:54Um, there's, there's, there's some reasonably serious talk
- 52:58about, um, getting rid of the U.S.
- 53:03bases in the Middle East because they are
- 53:07a threat for everybody.
- 53:08Uh, Dubai, that I read an article yesterday
- 53:11called, uh, something along the lines of, uh,
- 53:14goodbye, Dubai.
- 53:16And, and good riddance, you know, basically nobody
- 53:20needed you there anyway, you know, the decadent
- 53:23and the, uh, you know, full of hookers
- 53:25and full of, uh, cause it is and,
- 53:28um, high dollar ones, but they're still hookers.
- 53:31And, uh, uh, it's, uh, uh, you know,
- 53:35the, the, the most, uh, longest profession, you
- 53:38know, all over, uh, UAE.
- 53:41And, uh, uh, I I've seen, I've seen
- 53:44quite a bit of political discussion about, uh,
- 53:47take, getting the U.S. out of the
- 53:49Middle East as well.
- 53:50Plenty of it.
- 53:52And, uh, saying, look, uh, you being here
- 53:54is not good for us.
- 53:56We, you know, why in the world are,
- 53:57well, if it was just us, we'd get
- 54:00along in a, but we don't need you
- 54:02here stoking the fires of war on behalf
- 54:06of Israel.
- 54:07Israel is the one causing all this, by
- 54:09the way, it's not Iran.
- 54:11Iran wouldn't have attacked anybody if they weren't
- 54:14attacked first.
- 54:15That's all there is to it.
- 54:17And you don't need Sam to tell you
- 54:19that that's absolutely true.
- 54:21And that's, is not what's been going on.
- 54:24And so, um, anyway, this assertion about the
- 54:28emergence of the monstrous action of Islamic political
- 54:32forces, Qatar, Turkey, Syria, Gaza, bolstering networks like
- 54:38the Muslim Brotherhood.
- 54:39He hinted at Doha's financial and political influence
- 54:43over Israeli officials, said an additional domestic political
- 54:47layer in his statement.
- 54:48So, uh, Qatar, since they are the richest
- 54:50country on the planet, they allegedly are funding
- 54:54both sides.
- 54:58Bennett had earlier articulated the notion of a
- 55:02new threat from Turkey at a conference of
- 55:07American Jewish organizations in Jerusalem.
- 55:09He mentioned a scenario where Ankara would align
- 55:12with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in a military
- 55:15political pact, predicting this would create a new
- 55:19center of power with regional ambition.
- 55:22The deterioration of relations between Turkey and Turkey
- 55:25and Israel has been gradual rather than abrupt
- 55:28since Erdogan has risen to power and strengthened
- 55:32his justice and development party.
- 55:34Ankara's foreign policy is ideological.
- 55:37The concept of political Islam that underpins the
- 55:40party's ideology calls for strong support of the
- 55:44Palestinian cause and views Israel as an oppressor
- 55:47of the Palestinian people.
- 55:49Well, they are.
- 55:50And this shift has naturally impacted bilateral relations.
- 55:54Yeah.
- 55:54If you don't bend over to Israel, suddenly
- 55:57you support the Palestinians, right?
- 56:00If you question them at all, suddenly you're
- 56:04anti-Israel.
- 56:05That's not, no.
- 56:06Why isn't there the ability to be seen
- 56:08as a middle of the rotor?
- 56:10For a long time, Turkey attempted to balance
- 56:13among various power centers on the one hand
- 56:16as a NATO member and regional neighbor.
- 56:19Ankara aimed to maintain strategic ties with Israel
- 56:22while on the other, it wanted to assert
- 56:25its own leadership in the Muslim world.
- 56:27Turkey is Muslim.
- 56:28The dual approach drew criticism from both sides.
- 56:32Islamic nations accused Turkey of not taking a
- 56:35firm enough stance against Israel while the West
- 56:37criticized it for excessive politicization and anti-Israel
- 56:42rhetoric.
- 56:43You can't be anti-Israel or you're the
- 56:47bad guy.
- 56:48You don't even have to be anti.
- 56:50You just got to say something not in
- 56:53their favor.
- 56:54And that's the end of the world for
- 56:55you.
- 56:57You need to be slobbering a sycophantic Lindsey
- 57:02Graham type on Israel or you're an enemy
- 57:06of Israel, right?
- 57:07One of the most significant and symbolic transformative
- 57:11episodes in Turkey-Israel relations was the Mavi
- 57:15Marmara accident in May 2010.
- 57:18This set the course for deterioration of bilateral
- 57:22ties.
- 57:23The MV Mavi Marmara ship was part of
- 57:26the so-called Gaza Freedom Flotilla, which aimed
- 57:30to break the Israeli naval blockade of Gaza
- 57:34by delivering humanitarian aid.
- 57:36And they can't have that.
- 57:37You can't give food to starving people.
- 57:40That's not good.
- 57:42You're not allowed to do that.
- 57:43The mission of the Freedom Flotilla was to
- 57:46break through a naval blockade imposed by Israel
- 57:51after Hamas.
- 57:53Israel viewed this as a breach of security
- 57:55and a potential threat.
- 57:57Yeah, giving people food is a potential threat.
- 58:00Asserting that the cargo could be used for
- 58:02military purposes during the interception operation, Israeli soldiers
- 58:08boarded the vessel in international waters.
- 58:11The situation escalated into violent confrontation and resulted
- 58:15in the death of several Turkish citizens.
- 58:18This prompted a fierce reaction from Ankara when
- 58:22Turkish officials condemned Israel's action and the violation
- 58:26of international law.
- 58:27They were and demanding official apologies, compensation for
- 58:32the victim families, and the lifting of the
- 58:34blockade on Gaza.
- 58:36This Mavi Marmara incident became more than just
- 58:40a diplomatic crisis.
- 58:41It marked a turning point in Turkey's relations
- 58:44with Israel.
- 58:45This is when they figured out that Israel
- 58:47is not the good guys and never will
- 58:49be.
- 58:51Turkey recalled its ambassador, downgraded relations, and effectively
- 58:55dismantled any military cooperation, which had been a
- 58:59cornerstone of cooperation between the two countries.
- 59:03The Turkish public came to view Israel as
- 59:05a state that uses force against Turkish citizens
- 59:09engaged in humanitarian mission.
- 59:12They do.
- 59:13That's what they do.
- 59:16Conversely, in Israel, the incident reinforced the view
- 59:20of Turkey as a supporter of political factions
- 59:23hostile to the Israeli policy in Gaza, of
- 59:26kill them all and let God sort it
- 59:28out.
- 59:29Even if they're women and children, they're still
- 59:31in Gaza, and Gaza's ours.
- 59:34That's how that's supposed to be viewed, right?
- 59:37Trump's supposed to build a new Mecca there,
- 59:41apparently.
- 59:42Despite subsequent attempts at partial normalization of relations,
- 59:46including apology and discussion over compensation, trust was
- 59:50never restored.
- 59:52Moreover, the Amavi Marmara incident represented a point
- 59:55of no return.
- 59:57Prior to 2010, tension was primarily rhetorical and
- 1:00:01ideological.
- 1:00:02Afterward, they are permanent and official.
- 1:00:07So, from diplomatic strain to strategic mistrust.
- 1:00:14Since then, every escalation of Israel-Palestine has
- 1:00:19automatically impacted relations between Ankara and West Jerusalem.
- 1:00:24The events of 2023 only exacerbated the existing
- 1:00:28mistrust.
- 1:00:29The tragic events of October 7, 2023, followed
- 1:00:33by Israeli military actions in Gaza, led to
- 1:00:36further deterioration.
- 1:00:38Ankara's response was highly critical.
- 1:00:41The Turkish authorities publicly called the action of
- 1:00:44the IDF disproportionate.
- 1:00:46They were and condemned the mass civilian casualties
- 1:00:50in Gaza.
- 1:00:51So do I.
- 1:00:53From that moment on, bilateral relations were frozen
- 1:00:56and characterized by confrontational rhetoric and strategic distrust,
- 1:01:02close to a cold war between Israel and
- 1:01:06Turkey.
- 1:01:08Within Israeli political landscape, some advocate for a
- 1:01:12more rigid stance toward Turkey, while others favor
- 1:01:15a more pragmatic approach.
- 1:01:17However, the general stance regarding Turkey is similar.
- 1:01:21Naftali Bennett has long been known for his
- 1:01:24anti-Turkish position, viewing Ankara as a potential
- 1:01:27strategic adversary that will emerge as Israel's next
- 1:01:31significant threat after Iran.
- 1:01:34They just get to pick them off, especially
- 1:01:37with Donald Trump in your corner, right?
- 1:01:39So is Donald Trump going to next attack
- 1:01:42Turkey on behalf of Israel?
- 1:01:45I mean, geez, all you got to do
- 1:01:46is allege that Turkey wants nuclear weapons, right?
- 1:01:49In contrast, Prime Minister Netanyahu, despite his personal
- 1:01:53animosity toward Erdogan and his occasional sharp comments,
- 1:01:57typically adopts a little bit more pragmatic approach.
- 1:02:00His rhetoric often leaves room for normalization, grounded
- 1:02:04in the idea that Turkey and Israel do
- 1:02:07not have direct territorial conflict.
- 1:02:10They do not.
- 1:02:11And there is potential for economic and energy
- 1:02:15cooperation.
- 1:02:16Another point of contention for Israeli leadership is
- 1:02:19Turkey's growing ties with Islamabad.
- 1:02:22Pakistan is the only nuclear power in the
- 1:02:25Muslim world with a firm anti-Israel stance.
- 1:02:28And Israel views the deepening military-political relationship
- 1:02:32between Turkey and Pakistan as the emergence of
- 1:02:35an alternative power center.
- 1:02:38Netanyahu has indicated that following Iran, Pakistan will
- 1:02:43come under scrutiny as a strategic threat to
- 1:02:46Israel.
- 1:02:47It's never going to end.
- 1:02:48Everybody's a strategic threat to Israel.
- 1:02:51And the U.S. is opposed to, you
- 1:02:54know, I don't know, have 50 bases outside
- 1:02:57of Israel.
- 1:02:58You know, not an Israeli terror story.
- 1:03:00Geez, we got to bring in more Israelis.
- 1:03:03But they need to get the richest land,
- 1:03:07and then the U.S. can have the
- 1:03:08desert out to the east.
- 1:03:10We'll just kick out another country.
- 1:03:11It doesn't matter.
- 1:03:13Netanyahu had indicated following Iran, Pakistan will be
- 1:03:17the next.
- 1:03:18Increasingly similar assessments are being echoed beyond Israel's
- 1:03:22borders.
- 1:03:23American journalist Tucker Carlson recently remarked that Turkey
- 1:03:27poses a challenge for Israel precisely because its
- 1:03:31foreign policy is difficult to control and does
- 1:03:34not fit rigid alliance structures.
- 1:03:37Well, how can it?
- 1:03:38The Straits of Bosphorus are the window to
- 1:03:41east and west and have been for centuries.
- 1:03:46Centuries.
- 1:03:47Friends and neighbors.
- 1:03:49And it's been that way.
- 1:03:52And we're a blip to the world of
- 1:03:57Iran, Turkey, the Turkish hordes, you know, from
- 1:04:03way back when.
- 1:04:05And the Hindu.
- 1:04:08I mean, think about it.
- 1:04:09The Mongolian hordes before that.
- 1:04:12The Tatarstan Empire.
- 1:04:16There's some great history over there.
- 1:04:18It's been going on for thousands of years.
- 1:04:22And you're not going to solve it in
- 1:04:23a day.
- 1:04:24And Trump's not going to solve it in,
- 1:04:27you know, a two week war with Iran.
- 1:04:31It ain't going to happen there.
- 1:04:33What are we supposed to blow up their
- 1:04:35all of their temples and things that have
- 1:04:40been around literally for thousands of years?
- 1:04:42Is that what we target next?
- 1:04:44Probably so, you know, destroy their culture.
- 1:04:47And I tell you what, you're not going
- 1:04:49to have any friends over there in Israel.
- 1:04:51The theme of external danger generally unites their
- 1:04:56society when faced with a threat.
- 1:04:59Political disagreement receded into the background.
- 1:05:02Therefore, discussion about who might pose the next
- 1:05:06challenge.
- 1:05:08After Iran are not merely strategic or fuller
- 1:05:12in policy consideration, they also have significant implication
- 1:05:15for domestic politics.
- 1:05:18The government must demonstrate that it has control
- 1:05:21over the situation and is prepared to confront
- 1:05:25any potential adversary.
- 1:05:27They aren't even done with Iran yet.
- 1:05:29And they're already moving on to Turkey and
- 1:05:31Pakistan.
- 1:05:32Nonsense.
- 1:05:36Excuse me.
- 1:05:37The narrative surrounding the so-called axis of
- 1:05:39resistance, which traditionally encompasses Iran and its proxies,
- 1:05:44is gradually expanding within the rhetoric of certain
- 1:05:48Israeli politicians.
- 1:05:50Now, in addition to Tehran, Ankara and Islamabad
- 1:05:53are also mentioned as potential power centers capable
- 1:05:58of limiting Israel's maneuverability in the midterm.
- 1:06:03Turkey is seen as a nation with ambition
- 1:06:06for regional leadership and independent defense industry, ideologically
- 1:06:11driven foreign policy.
- 1:06:13Pakistan, on the other hand, is viewed as
- 1:06:15a nuclear power with a deep seated anti
- 1:06:19-Israeli stance and growing ties to Ankara.
- 1:06:23From Israel's strategic perspective, this configuration is perceived
- 1:06:28as a potential new element of pressure.
- 1:06:34Not a new war yet.
- 1:06:36Israel has consistently maintained that it views Iran,
- 1:06:40Turkey and Pakistan as rivals that are different
- 1:06:43in nature, but comparable in scale, because they're
- 1:06:48all three huge.
- 1:06:49And Pakistan is nuclear.
- 1:06:52And these three are somewhat natural allies.
- 1:06:57And you piss off Iran, you are pissing
- 1:07:01off Turkey for a large part.
- 1:07:04It was Turkey that talked the Kurds out
- 1:07:06of attacking, is one of the stories that
- 1:07:10I've heard about why the Kurds are not
- 1:07:12going in.
- 1:07:13The Pakistanis are trying to work with the
- 1:07:16Azerbaijanis, is what I heard, and the Tajikis
- 1:07:21to keep them out of the out of
- 1:07:24the fray.
- 1:07:26You know, Pakistan is attempting to keep this
- 1:07:31on the down low.
- 1:07:33But I also heard stories to say that
- 1:07:35Pakistan, you know, if anything happened where Israel
- 1:07:39attacked Iran with nukes, that the retaliation would
- 1:07:42come from Pakistan.
- 1:07:44It's a crazy world out there.
- 1:07:47Nonetheless, Israel is known for its long term
- 1:07:50strategy.
- 1:07:52The approach it gradually creates a favorable international
- 1:07:55environment through collaboration, false collaboration, in my view,
- 1:08:00with allies, sanctions, information campaigns, and regional alliances.
- 1:08:06They've had they've had at least 60 years
- 1:08:09of US butt licking support, in my view,
- 1:08:16where we've done nothing.
- 1:08:17We don't question a damn thing.
- 1:08:19We just jump on board.
- 1:08:21They bomb somewhere, we start bombing the same
- 1:08:24place.
- 1:08:24And Trump's done that twice already.
- 1:08:27And maybe more, or in most time, we
- 1:08:31just ignore it and allow them to get
- 1:08:33away with it.
- 1:08:33And any of the condemnations that happen in
- 1:08:35the UN, we kind of overturn.
- 1:08:38Anytime they get how many times they are
- 1:08:40the most, what do you call it sanctioned,
- 1:08:45condemned, what do they call it when the
- 1:08:48UN does it, they give them a rhetorical,
- 1:08:56you know, they want them to be sanctioned,
- 1:08:59basically, but it's, but it's not sanctioned sanction,
- 1:09:02it's a, they condemn them for what they
- 1:09:05are doing.
- 1:09:06There's an arrest warrant for Netanyahu in the
- 1:09:09ICC.
- 1:09:10And rightly so, you know, I mean, he's,
- 1:09:13according to all reasonable review of international law,
- 1:09:20he's a war criminal, period.
- 1:09:24According to the UN law, the US is
- 1:09:27now war criminals too, because we haven't done
- 1:09:31any UN, there was nothing, no, this is,
- 1:09:35it takes a UN Security Council.
- 1:09:38The UN means absolutely nothing.
- 1:09:40The UN, I don't know why we're paying
- 1:09:42the hundreds of millions of dollars that we
- 1:09:45do for the UN.
- 1:09:47And I don't mean us, I mean, every,
- 1:09:49the whole world.
- 1:09:50What is the point if it's only a,
- 1:09:53an agency that condemns, I don't know, China
- 1:09:57or Russia, that's it.
- 1:10:00It only condemns them.
- 1:10:02And it cannot condemn the US for illegal
- 1:10:06actions in Venezuela.
- 1:10:11It will never condemn it.
- 1:10:13Well, it does condemn Israel, but nothing ever
- 1:10:15comes of it because the US vetoes any
- 1:10:18sort of condemnation of them, of Israel, for
- 1:10:22attacks, for blockades of humanitarian aid to get
- 1:10:28to citizens, you know, they create the next
- 1:10:32generation of person just by keeping them in
- 1:10:37the, in the poor and unfed regions.
- 1:10:43So I don't know, considering these scenarios, Turkey
- 1:10:46might emerge as a more probable adversary than
- 1:10:50Pakistan, because Pakistan has Iran in between it.
- 1:10:54But if they really piss them off, the
- 1:10:56Arab countries, the big ones are going to
- 1:11:00come to the defense of Iran instead of
- 1:11:03Israel.
- 1:11:04And because, trust me, none of them are
- 1:11:07really all that jazzed up about Israel.
- 1:11:10Remember me telling you the stories about when
- 1:11:12you're in Qatar, you, you don't normally, you're
- 1:11:16going to get a lot of questions if
- 1:11:17you're, if your passport has a lot of
- 1:11:23stamps of travel, recent, or any to Israel.
- 1:11:30And so they will give you in Israel,
- 1:11:33a separate page to stamp that you can
- 1:11:36remove.
- 1:11:38So it's not a stamped inside of your
- 1:11:41passport.
- 1:11:45So this logic about Turkey and Pakistan does
- 1:11:50not imply suddenly emerging into a new confrontation,
- 1:11:54but rather gradually building a deterrence infrastructure.
- 1:11:59For now, Iran remains Israel's primary adversary, but
- 1:12:04trust me, they'll find more.
- 1:12:07They always do.
- 1:12:09It doesn't matter.
- 1:12:11However, Israel will continue to regard both Turkey
- 1:12:15and Pakistan as potential competitors.
- 1:12:19For Ankara, this means that current disputes must
- 1:12:22be viewed within the context of Israel's long
- 1:12:26-term logic.
- 1:12:27The situation in the Middle East remains unstable.
- 1:12:30Power dynamics will shift, but distrust among nations
- 1:12:35is unlikely to dissipate anytime soon.
- 1:12:41And I wanted to share that with you.
- 1:12:43That was by a guy named Farad Ibrahimov,
- 1:12:48who's a lecturer at, at the faculty of
- 1:12:52economics at the Institute of Social Sciences.
- 1:13:00Let's see.
- 1:13:04There's a, let's see here.
- 1:13:10Where were we going after this?
- 1:13:17Old Zelensky, the Z monster has been telling
- 1:13:21more, more stories here.
- 1:13:25Um, Ooh, goodness.
- 1:13:33So they, they did have a film.
- 1:13:35This is new.
- 1:13:36Here's a, here's something new.
- 1:13:37This just came out like minutes ago.
- 1:13:40So there's a U S Tomahawk missile filmed
- 1:13:44hitting near the, this girl's school.
- 1:13:49So videos released online verified by a number
- 1:13:54of news agencies have amplified accusations that the
- 1:13:58U S is behind the strike on the
- 1:14:01girl's school that left over 160 people dead.
- 1:14:07The footage it's a film shows a U
- 1:14:11S Tomahawk missile impacting near the school in
- 1:14:14Manab.
- 1:14:14The video was shared by Mayor News that
- 1:14:18showed the moment when Israel and American terrorists
- 1:14:21struck the Manab school on February the 28th,
- 1:14:25both the Washington post and the New York
- 1:14:29times verified the authenticity of the footage used
- 1:14:33satellite imagery, social media posts, and other geo
- 1:14:37located video.
- 1:14:39The Washington post citing eight independent munitions experts
- 1:14:45described the clip as the latest indication of
- 1:14:49likely U S involvement in the strike.
- 1:14:51It noted that the missile hit next to
- 1:14:55an Islamic revolutionary guard court, naval complex adjacent
- 1:15:00to the school CBS news reported and cited
- 1:15:05a person familiar with the classified intelligence assessment
- 1:15:09that the U S is likely responsible for
- 1:15:12the attack, but said it may have been
- 1:15:14caused by error, possibly to the use of
- 1:15:17dated intelligence.
- 1:15:20But that isn't what Donald Trump said.
- 1:15:23And that is not what Hagseth said.
- 1:15:25Although Hagseth was in the damn briefing U
- 1:15:29S officials have confirmed the use of Tomahawk
- 1:15:32missiles, which have a range of 1600 kilometers
- 1:15:35in strikes on Iran.
- 1:15:39The U S is the only party involved
- 1:15:41in the conflict, possessing Tomahawks West Bryant, a
- 1:15:45former U S army special operations targeting expert
- 1:15:50told the Washington posts that the missile outlines
- 1:15:58correlated to those of a Tomahawk Jeffrey Lewis,
- 1:16:01a professor of global security at Middlebury college
- 1:16:06separately confirmed the assessment.
- 1:16:08He added that the missile did not resemble
- 1:16:12any known weapons in Iran's arsenal images from
- 1:16:17the aftermath of the strike show the girl's
- 1:16:21school roof collapsed onto the children below with
- 1:16:25witnesses describing mutilated children's bodies strewn across the
- 1:16:31area on March 3rd, thousands packed the streets
- 1:16:35of Manab for a mass funeral with a
- 1:16:37hundred graves dug side by side.
- 1:16:41This comes after investigations by AP, CNN, you
- 1:16:45New York times and the post suggested that
- 1:16:49the school was likely destroyed in a U
- 1:16:51S strike.
- 1:16:52U S president Trump denied U S responsibility
- 1:16:56based on what I have seen.
- 1:16:59I think it was done by Iran.
- 1:17:01Trump said on Saturday and then he turned
- 1:17:04back to Hagseth and I hate to laugh
- 1:17:07about this.
- 1:17:08It's really sad.
- 1:17:10And this, this, this joke of commentary right
- 1:17:15here, instead of accepting responsibility and saying, we'll
- 1:17:19do the right thing.
- 1:17:20If it was us, this is an American
- 1:17:24period.
- 1:17:25And I don't accept this based on what
- 1:17:28I've seen.
- 1:17:29I think it was done by Iran.
- 1:17:31We haven't seen a thing then have you,
- 1:17:33or you haven't bothered to look.
- 1:17:35That is nonsense said Trump on Saturday describing
- 1:17:40Iranian munitions are very inaccurate.
- 1:17:44Yeah, that's it.
- 1:17:45That's your answer.
- 1:17:46Defense secretary Pete Hagseth standing behind him, shaking
- 1:17:50his head.
- 1:17:51Yeah.
- 1:17:52Yes, sir.
- 1:17:53It said the Pentagon is examining the, the,
- 1:17:56the incident incident said that the only side
- 1:18:00to target civilians is Iran.
- 1:18:02Yeah.
- 1:18:03Why don't we go spread that lie while
- 1:18:06you, while you let everybody else come up
- 1:18:09with the truth here.
- 1:18:10Just be truthful for God's sake.
- 1:18:13Do you know how, how easy it would
- 1:18:15be to just be truthful?
- 1:18:17It's not the freaking problem that it's, that
- 1:18:21destroys you.
- 1:18:23It's the freaking cover up.
- 1:18:24Why are we covering this up?
- 1:18:26All you got to do is admit it
- 1:18:29and say, do you know what that was
- 1:18:31terrible?
- 1:18:32And, and it shouldn't have happened.
- 1:18:33And it was based on old data or
- 1:18:36it was based on a miss targeting or
- 1:18:38a targeting mistake, something like that.
- 1:18:41And a person like me will understand that
- 1:18:45don't care if it's an obvious slide, nobody's
- 1:18:48going to believe it, but Nope, you keep
- 1:18:51selling it like Hillary Clinton would.
- 1:18:53You are Hillary Clinton.
- 1:18:55If you're doing this and that's an insult.
- 1:18:57Okay.
- 1:18:58Nobody wants to be that woman.
- 1:19:00Yuck, yuck, yuck.
- 1:19:06Sorry.
- 1:19:07I shouldn't talk like that.
- 1:19:08I suppose she's not really yuck.
- 1:19:10Depends on who your audience is, I suppose.
- 1:19:16So did you see that there was a
- 1:19:19video of a UAE ship getting blown up
- 1:19:28by another drone Iranian type.
- 1:19:34And tell you what, the Israeli military has
- 1:19:39begun a wide scale wave of strikes on
- 1:19:41unspecified targets in Tehran, Isfahan and Southern Iran,
- 1:19:45said the IDF footage shows two of the
- 1:19:50Iranian cluster bomb impacts in central Israel during
- 1:19:54ballistic missile strike.
- 1:19:55Have you seen these?
- 1:19:56If you, if you haven't seen these, you
- 1:19:58should get on YouTube and check them out.
- 1:20:00They're the Iranians have cluster munitions.
- 1:20:04Okay.
- 1:20:05And these clusters are making it near impossible
- 1:20:09for Israel with, you know, their iron dome
- 1:20:13that, that, that myth has been pretty much
- 1:20:18poked full of holes recently.
- 1:20:22Anyway, the, the cluster munitions that showed up
- 1:20:28there, they're, they're bombing the crap out of,
- 1:20:32out of Israel here.
- 1:20:34And so the aftermath of, of, of the
- 1:20:39blow ups going on, you're not there.
- 1:20:41Not much is getting out of, um, is
- 1:20:45getting out of, uh, Israel as far as
- 1:20:50being able to see it.
- 1:20:51It's pretty hard to get to see it.
- 1:20:54And so, uh, you, you can only see
- 1:20:58limited vision of it, but every once in
- 1:21:01a while they come up there and over
- 1:21:02the last few days, there have been a
- 1:21:04ton of these cluster munitions coming up.
- 1:21:07So there was also news that a hypersonic
- 1:21:10missile was, it was, uh, uh, that the
- 1:21:13Iranians have hypersonics.
- 1:21:14If they have them, they got them from
- 1:21:16Russia, no doubt.
- 1:21:17And, um, well, I would assume cause they
- 1:21:20don't, they didn't have their own hypersonics unless
- 1:21:23they'd been developing jointly with Russia, but they
- 1:21:26have hypersonics, um, or allegedly have, have sent
- 1:21:29one.
- 1:21:31Um, let's see.
- 1:21:34We're going to see if we can't switch
- 1:21:35to a lighter topic.
- 1:21:38See if we can find another Sam, uh,
- 1:21:42uh, Rockwell, Sam Rockwell movie.
- 1:21:46Um, I wanted to tell you a little
- 1:21:48bit about where is he?
- 1:21:51So Zhirinovsky as everybody remember who Zhirinovsky is,
- 1:21:56I've brought him up before in the past
- 1:21:59and I've got some, some information.
- 1:22:02So he was, he was very, very, he
- 1:22:04passed away like, I don't know, not several
- 1:22:07years ago.
- 1:22:07I don't remember the exact time he passed
- 1:22:10away, but the guy called all of this
- 1:22:1310, 12 years ago, he called it all.
- 1:22:15And so over the last, uh, little bit,
- 1:22:19um, last, oh, gee, four or five months,
- 1:22:23there have been plenty of discussions about Zhirinovsky
- 1:22:28and I gotta get to his, to his,
- 1:22:32where's my dashboard here.
- 1:22:35Um, and I have a pair of glasses
- 1:22:36right here in my grubby little pockets.
- 1:22:41I want to tell you about Zhirinovsky.
- 1:22:47Uh, geez, I ought to share this one
- 1:22:53with you.
- 1:22:53I forgot about this.
- 1:22:54His entire brief is here.
- 1:22:56I've, I've Hegseth, Hegseth's whole brief I ought
- 1:22:59to share with you.
- 1:23:02Um, here you go.
- 1:23:05The United Arab, I'll get to, I'll get
- 1:23:07to, uh, oh gee, if I have time,
- 1:23:09uh, I'll, I'll quickly go through this and
- 1:23:11then I'll get back to Zhirinovsky.
- 1:23:13Cause I want to share that.
- 1:23:14Um, a United Arab Emirates flag tugboat, the
- 1:23:18Musafah 2 has sunk in the Straits of
- 1:23:22Hormuz.
- 1:23:22Three crew members are missing, including Indonesian nationals.
- 1:23:27Jakarta's foreign ministry says the Musafah 2 has
- 1:23:30seven crew members from Indonesia, India, and the
- 1:23:33Philippines.
- 1:23:34Four of the crew members survived.
- 1:23:36Three remain missing.
- 1:23:37UN international maritime organization confirmed the incident, but
- 1:23:42said that it resulted in four facilities and
- 1:23:44three others were severely injured.
- 1:23:47There is no clarity on the discrepancy, why
- 1:23:49it exists.
- 1:23:50Jakarta added that before the vessel sank, the
- 1:23:53boat experienced an explosion that caused it to
- 1:23:58catch fire and an investigation is underway.
- 1:24:01Security firm Vanguard said the tugboat was struck
- 1:24:04by two missiles while attempting to provide assistance
- 1:24:08to the Malta flagged container ship Safin Prestige.
- 1:24:12Traffic through the choke point is ground to
- 1:24:15a halt as the conflict in the region
- 1:24:17escalates with U S Israel and Iran pressing
- 1:24:20on with strikes and counter strikes.
- 1:24:22This is the ninth day of the war
- 1:24:24in, in, um, um, the region Iran is
- 1:24:27challenging U S and Israel on the battlefield.
- 1:24:30Um, let's see.
- 1:24:32Iran isn't backing down regardless of the kind
- 1:24:35of hits that has already taken.
- 1:24:37Let's take a look at Iran's missile arsenal.
- 1:24:41It is one of the largest in Western
- 1:24:44Asia before the 12 day war with Israel
- 1:24:48in June of last year, Israeli military system
- 1:24:52assessments estimate that Tehran possessed 3000 ballistic missiles
- 1:25:00during the fighting.
- 1:25:02Israel said it destroyed hundreds of missiles along
- 1:25:05with several launch sites.
- 1:25:06But since then, uh, Iran has rebuilt its
- 1:25:10missile according to its own defense forces.
- 1:25:13Tehran's arsenal has recovered to around 2,500
- 1:25:17ballistics.
- 1:25:18Most of these fall in the short range
- 1:25:20and medium range ballistic missile category.
- 1:25:23Short range ballistics can travel up to a
- 1:25:25thousand medium range are capable of traveling up
- 1:25:28to 3000.
- 1:25:29These ranges allow Iran to target most of
- 1:25:33West Asia or Western Middle East from Western
- 1:25:37Iran.
- 1:25:37The distance to central Israel is 1200 kilometers.
- 1:25:42Um, and Gulf States are only 500 kilometers
- 1:25:45away.
- 1:25:46Many of Iran's early missiles use liquid propellant,
- 1:25:50a technology that, uh, requires a longer prep
- 1:25:54time before launch.
- 1:25:56They are the Shahab one and the Shahab
- 1:25:57two with range of 300 to 500 kilometers.
- 1:26:00And these missiles carry large warheads and relatively
- 1:26:04low accuracy.
- 1:26:05And they sometimes missed their targets.
- 1:26:07Later versions of Shahab three, the Ghadar and
- 1:26:10the Ahmad improve and range and precision.
- 1:26:13The Ghadar missile can travel up to 2000
- 1:26:16kilometers and means Israel is within range from
- 1:26:19deep inside Iran.
- 1:26:21So those are important.
- 1:26:23Um, let's see.
- 1:26:24And I wanted to get to Zhirinovsky quickly,
- 1:26:28uh, because Zhirinovsky in 2009, and this is
- 1:26:32very short.
- 1:26:33Um, let's see.
- 1:26:37Uh, talk about the, and I'm translating from
- 1:26:41Russian on the fly here.
- 1:26:42So it's kind of, uh, let's talk about
- 1:26:45the service of civilization, of modern civilization.
- 1:26:49The Western world is, uh, thinks it's much
- 1:26:54smarter than us and it will go from
- 1:26:57Afghanistan will then go to Iraq.
- 1:27:01And unfortunately, um, there is one other, but
- 1:27:07in there, but they won't go.
- 1:27:09And that is Iran and they will not
- 1:27:15go there, but they will enforce power there
- 1:27:19such, and they will back another power there.
- 1:27:23They were saying that the U S won't
- 1:27:25go there.
- 1:27:26They would have gone and they went to
- 1:27:28Afghanistan and they went to Iraq.
- 1:27:29And this is what Zhirinovsky said in 2009.
- 1:27:33And he said, and, and the, the, the
- 1:27:36video clip is really interesting.
- 1:27:37And he said the same thing about Ukraine.
- 1:27:40He said that Ukraine was going to start
- 1:27:42a third world war and that it would
- 1:27:44continue into Iran.
- 1:27:46And he said, that's, and it was all
- 1:27:47going to be brought upon by Israel going
- 1:27:50into Iran and being blindly backed by the
- 1:27:53United States.
