- 0:01Speaker 1: Live on Sky News. This is Sharry.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Good Evening. Welcome to the show.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Well first tonight, authorities have failed to enforce the law
- 0:13Speaker 3: as pro Palestinian protesters celebrated the life of Hamas leader
- 0:18Speaker 3: ya Ya Sinwa. They called the terrorist leader a legend
- 0:23Speaker 3: who will inspire resistance. In other words, terrorism around the world.
- 0:28Speaker 3: These are scenes I never imagined we'd see in our
- 0:32Speaker 3: safe country. It's racism I never imagined would be tolerated
- 0:37Speaker 3: by political leaders. This was Hyde Park in Sydney yesterday.
- 0:43Speaker 4: Really injured, he was to get a throng his final defiance.
- 0:52Speaker 4: He died warrious death amongst these men, one with his people,
- 0:58Speaker 4: in defense of his land, of the innocent Palestinian children,
- 1:02Speaker 4: slaughtered against a Joda Sidol and vader Can occupier and colonized.
- 1:08Speaker 4: In his death, he became a legend, a legend to
- 1:12Speaker 4: be chage un gentries for a story will live on,
- 1:17Speaker 4: inspire to inspire resistance lever around the world.
- 1:22Speaker 3: That is clearly celebrating a terror leader who killed one thousand,
- 1:27Speaker 3: two hundred Israelis and foreigners and also caused thousands of
- 1:31Speaker 3: Palestinians to die. But her next remarks, in my view,
- 1:36Speaker 3: are not only hate speech, but arguably incitement to violence
- 1:40Speaker 3: as well.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Until our life, Brett, we didn't keep fighting.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Deciist occupation leaders.
- 1:49Speaker 4: May fling, but the idea of resistance will never die.
- 1:54Speaker 4: He's murtyrdom exposed to Israeli propaganda.
- 1:58Speaker 3: After watching their first turn into pieces, they see one option,
- 2:03Speaker 3: and one option only, that they die fighting like the
- 2:07Speaker 3: legends that came before them.
- 2:10Speaker 2: The resistance lives on, thank you.
- 2:14Speaker 3: How can this be condoned under our laws? How can
- 2:19Speaker 3: the police and the politicians fail to lift a finger
- 2:23Speaker 3: as persecution of Jewish people and celebration of terrorism takes
- 2:28Speaker 3: place openly on our streets. I have to say that
- 2:31Speaker 3: I personally felt very sad while going through those full
- 2:35Speaker 3: speeches today.
- 2:37Speaker 2: And what was even worse was that a child, a child,
- 2:41Speaker 2: took the.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Microphone to say that she doesn't want Jews who support
- 2:45Speaker 3: Israel to live in this country. We don't want no
- 3:03Speaker 3: well Zinis to people who support the Jewish State of
- 3:05Speaker 3: Israel like I do, like most Jews do. This child
- 3:09Speaker 3: is saying she doesn't want us in Australia. How is
- 3:13Speaker 3: such racist bile just allowed to go on again and
- 3:17Speaker 3: again and again?
- 3:19Speaker 2: And it makes me think of this.
- 3:21Speaker 3: In the Palestinian territories, the PLO pays families as salary
- 3:26Speaker 3: if their children are martyred if they kill themselves while
- 3:30Speaker 3: committing terror attacks.
- 3:31Speaker 2: It's called pay for slay.
- 3:34Speaker 3: The reason kids grow up happy to end their young
- 3:37Speaker 3: lives committing terror attacks is that they're indoctrinated from birth
- 3:42Speaker 3: to hate Jews. And this is now happening in Australia.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Children from birth are being indoctrinated to hate us. And
- 3:53Speaker 3: here's more of what this mere child had to say. Already,
- 4:37Speaker 3: at such a young age, she's filled with so much
- 4:40Speaker 3: hate it's arguably child abuse. And it's terrifying to think
- 4:44Speaker 3: of what that generation will be when they become adults.
- 4:48Speaker 3: And I think it needs to be said that the
- 4:50Speaker 3: city streets in Sydney and in Melbourne aren't safe for
- 4:54Speaker 3: Jews anymore. On the weekend, the city is a no
- 4:57Speaker 3: go zone because it's filled with thousand of these vile protesters.
- 5:02Speaker 3: The New South Wales, Victorian and federal governments need to
- 5:05Speaker 3: do something about this. Western leaders were criticized for allowing
- 5:10Speaker 3: antisemitism to flourish in the thirties and we're now watching
- 5:15Speaker 3: a repeat with no one taking any action, and the
- 5:20Speaker 3: hatred isn't just on our streets, it's also on social media.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Andrew Tate, with his ten million followers, came out to
- 5:27Speaker 3: support Sinowa.
- 5:30Speaker 2: He said, I can only pray for death.
- 5:32Speaker 3: As heroic as Yaya Sinwa, brave, defiant in the face
- 5:36Speaker 3: of evil, and dedicated to his life's purpose, he deserves
- 5:40Speaker 3: eternal rest.
- 5:42Speaker 2: He earned it. He earned eternal.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Rest because he worked so hard ordering the rape, murder
- 5:50Speaker 3: and burning of babies. Andrew Tate claims he was brave
- 5:54Speaker 3: that Sinoa was brave in the face of evil.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Well, Sinhwa was the face of evil.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Argument about that this isn't a matter of subjectivity, it's
- 6:04Speaker 3: black and white. He was evil and he wasn't brave.
- 6:09Speaker 3: He was a coward who hid in the tunnels while
- 6:12Speaker 3: using hostages and Palestinian civilians as human shields.
- 6:17Speaker 2: And here's the vision.
- 6:18Speaker 3: I've sin while going into the tunnels on October sixth,
- 6:21Speaker 3: twenty twenty three, where he would then remain hidden for
- 6:25Speaker 3: more than a year, while allowing civilians who didn't want
- 6:29Speaker 3: this war to suffer and die.
- 6:34Speaker 2: The fraudulent feminist Clementine Ford.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Also didn't seem to be upset that a man who
- 6:39Speaker 3: caused the rape of dozens of women had been killed.
- 6:43Speaker 3: You think she'd be celebrating his death, but of course not,
- 6:48Speaker 3: because apparently the rape of Jewish women doesn't count.
- 6:51Speaker 5: Well.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Here, she was posting to her hundreds of thousands of
- 6:54Speaker 3: Instagram followers.
- 6:57Speaker 6: To wake up this morning and see, you know, to
- 7:01Speaker 6: see the news and to see the way that the
- 7:08Speaker 6: corrupt Western Empire is framing.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Is targetting of Sinwa.
- 7:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Interesting, it's the corrupt Western Empire, not Sinwa. The Australian
- 7:22Speaker 3: reports today that Clementine Ford then shared a post that
- 7:26Speaker 3: compared Sinwa to Jesus.
- 7:29Speaker 2: It said, I'd be.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Careful about banking on the martyrdom of Palestinian resistance. When
- 7:34Speaker 3: authorities killed that dude from Nazareth, they believed they had
- 7:38Speaker 3: crushed his whole movement.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Now we count time from the year of his birth.
- 7:43Speaker 3: I mean, come on, how can anyone seriously compare Sinwa,
- 7:48Speaker 3: responsible for the massacre of one thy two hundred innocent people,
- 7:52Speaker 3: including children in their cots, to Jesus, a man who
- 7:58Speaker 3: preached peace and tolerance, a healer and a force for good.
- 8:04Speaker 2: And by the way, I'll quickly add that.
- 8:06Speaker 3: She then went on to attack me personally, Clementine Ford,
- 8:09Speaker 3: calling me a swear word, idiot, and a troll because
- 8:14Speaker 3: I had dared to point out that Sinowa would still
- 8:17Speaker 3: be alive if Israel had listened to Anthony Albanizi and
- 8:21Speaker 3: had a cease fire.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Now, I just want to reiterate this point.
- 8:26Speaker 3: There are some areas in life where there's no gray,
- 8:28Speaker 3: where there's only black and white, wrong and right, good
- 8:31Speaker 3: and evil. And Sinowa was an evil figure who brought
- 8:35Speaker 3: tragedy to Israel.
- 8:37Speaker 2: He also brought death and destruction.
- 8:40Speaker 3: To his own people. There was no war on October
- 8:43Speaker 3: sixth last year.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Every and I mean every.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Palestinian death is on his conscience. The casualties were his
- 8:53Speaker 3: deliberate military strategy. He was prepared to let his people die.
- 8:59Speaker 3: He even stopped from leaving when Israel begged them to evacuate. Also,
- 9:04Speaker 3: Sinoa could win the PR battle against Israel because good
- 9:09Speaker 3: PR was more important to Sinoa than protecting lives. In fact,
- 9:15Speaker 3: he once told Israeli interrogators that the death of one
- 9:18Speaker 3: hundred thousand innocent people was worth the return of just
- 9:23Speaker 3: one hundred Palestinian terrorists. New York Times columnist Brett Stevens
- 9:29Speaker 3: describes Hermas's reign of terror over Palestinians, which he says
- 9:33Speaker 3: Sinwa enforced through a regime of Stazi like domestic surveillance
- 9:38Speaker 3: and extreme brutality toward anyone who questioned Hermasa's edicts around
- 9:44Speaker 3: a foul its moral code, including for the crime of
- 9:47Speaker 3: being gay. We cannot allow the social media activists and
- 9:52Speaker 3: the angry protesters on our streets.
- 9:55Speaker 2: To blur the laws of morality.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Moral law is conduct derived from an objective right and wrong.
- 10:04Speaker 3: The laws of morality haven't changed for those celebrating sin.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Why you are in the wrong.
- 10:10Speaker 3: No matter how much you spin or yell, you can't
- 10:14Speaker 3: turn the murder of children, the slaughter of entire families,
- 10:18Speaker 3: the beheading of soldiers, the burning of babies, and the
- 10:21Speaker 3: kidnapping of innocent people into righteous acts. The far left
- 10:27Speaker 3: and the far right, the woke and the bigots, have
- 10:31Speaker 3: come full circle and they've joined together to try justify murder, mutilation,
- 10:36Speaker 3: and rape, to justify depravity, tragedy, and barbarity. But it's
- 10:42Speaker 3: pure anti Semitism. It's racism in disguise. And what's terrifying
- 10:49Speaker 3: is that these extremists are given encouragement by.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Leaders like Kamala Harris.
- 10:55Speaker 3: In a wink wink, nudge nudge to the hate field protesters,
- 10:59Speaker 3: the President said she understands claims that Israel is committing genocide.
- 11:10Speaker 8: Nine thousand children are dead, nineteen thousand children.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Listen, it's what he's talking about. It it's real. What
- 11:20Speaker 2: he's talking about is real.
- 11:22Speaker 3: His claim that he said over and over again was
- 11:24Speaker 3: accusing Israel of a genocide and the only genocide was
- 11:28Speaker 3: by her muss against Israel on October seven. And by
- 11:32Speaker 3: the way, neither Kamala Harris nor Joe Biden bothered to
- 11:36Speaker 3: call Benjaminette and Yahoo after the assassination attempt on his
- 11:40Speaker 3: life over the weekend when Hesbela targeted his home. Donald
- 11:45Speaker 3: Trump did make that phone call and an egregious breach
- 11:50Speaker 3: of trust. Someone from the Biden administration, and there is
- 11:54Speaker 3: an investigation is accused of leaking classified details of Israel's
- 11:59Speaker 3: planned strike on Iran. Now, this is why Jews, who
- 12:04Speaker 3: have been a political or who may have supported both
- 12:08Speaker 3: political parties in the past, are now turning into single
- 12:12Speaker 3: issue voters. The new Republican Jewish Coalition advert in the
- 12:16Speaker 3: US encapsulates this very point quite well.
- 12:22Speaker 9: Did you watch the news lately.
- 12:24Speaker 10: Israel's under attack anti Semitism like I never thought I
- 12:28Speaker 10: would see.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Do we about Samantha's boy Max, No, he got spit
- 12:32Speaker 1: on just walking that pen.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I mean, that's scary. What about Kamalah?
- 12:36Speaker 3: Is he defending the squad?
- 12:38Speaker 5: You know?
- 12:39Speaker 2: Trump I never cared for, but at least they'll keep us. See.
- 12:43Speaker 6: I never voted Republican in my life, but I am
- 12:45Speaker 6: voting Trump.
- 12:47Speaker 9: Amen.
- 12:49Speaker 3: And it's the same in Australia as well, where there's
- 12:52Speaker 3: been a shocking failure to take action to ensure the
- 12:55Speaker 3: safety of all Australians, all of us.
- 12:58Speaker 2: And we know the reason.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Politicians don't want to lose the Muslim vote, so they're
- 13:03Speaker 3: putting politics above national security. Hate is rising on our streets,
- 13:10Speaker 3: the authorities doing nothing about it. I mean, some of
- 13:14Speaker 3: these scenes we're seeing, and I'll talk about the arson attack,
- 13:18Speaker 3: the suspected arson attack of a Kosher kitchen just on
- 13:21Speaker 3: the weekend in North Bondai, Well, these could be scenes
- 13:24Speaker 3: from nineteen thirties Germany. Western leaders all pledged never again,
- 13:29Speaker 3: and yet here we are.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I truly despair. We can't pretend this isn't happening.
- 13:36Speaker 3: We all have a responsibility to stand up and say
- 13:40Speaker 3: that this racism, this hatred, is unacceptable. We've tolerated it
- 13:45Speaker 3: for a year now, We've been begging.
- 13:47Speaker 2: For action for a year.
- 13:50Speaker 3: It is time to vote out leaders who aren't taking
- 13:53Speaker 3: this seriously, because no issue has ever been more important.
- 14:03Speaker 3: All Right, Well, I have a big show ahead tonight.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Is Donald Trump cementing his lead over Kamala Harris Kosher
- 14:09Speaker 3: Garda will fill us in, and it's just fifteen days
- 14:12Speaker 3: out from the election, plus Albaniz's plan to target Peter
- 14:16Speaker 3: Dutton personally.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Ahead of the next election.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I'll have David Gazzard and Michael Downby on the show.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Plus Israel's Special Envoy for combating Anti Semitism will join
- 14:25Speaker 3: me live to talk about the attempted assassination on Netan Yahoo,
- 14:30Speaker 3: and later this hour the businessman offering one hundred thousand
- 14:33Speaker 3: dollars for each Palestinian who hands over a hostage.
- 14:37Speaker 2: He'll also be on the show.
- 14:38Speaker 3: But now let's bring in Sky News host Steve Price
- 14:40Speaker 3: and contributor Joe Hudebrand.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Welcome to you evening. Thanks very Steve.
- 14:45Speaker 3: You look at the streets, particularly here and in Melbourne,
- 14:49Speaker 3: and you wonder how these scenes, this celebration of terror,
- 14:54Speaker 3: nothing less could be condoned.
- 14:57Speaker 11: Well, it shouldn't be condoned. And you're quite right, and
- 15:00Speaker 11: you say that the Jewish people of Melbourne where I am,
- 15:03Speaker 11: and in Sydney as well, just don't feel safe going
- 15:06Speaker 11: into the CBD at weekends. I mean, it's been going
- 15:08Speaker 11: on for an entire year now and it just it
- 15:12Speaker 11: beggars belief that we can't have some sort of a
- 15:14Speaker 11: leadership that stops these demonstrations happening. Now, everyone's got the
- 15:18Speaker 11: right to demonstrate, but you don't do it every weekend
- 15:21Speaker 11: for a year and scare people off from out in
- 15:24Speaker 11: the CBD. I mean, traders in this city know that
- 15:27Speaker 11: their profits are going down the drain because people are
- 15:29Speaker 11: just simply not coming to town. And to celebrate a
- 15:33Speaker 11: character like Sinwa, I mean, this is a guy. And
- 15:36Speaker 11: how is it with these murderous terrorists They always tend
- 15:39Speaker 11: to end up with plenty of money. I mean, we
- 15:41Speaker 11: saw that shot you played before of his wife carrying
- 15:43Speaker 11: the thirty eight or forty eight thousand dollars whatever it was,
- 15:47Speaker 11: burke and handbag, and then you've got sacks of food
- 15:50Speaker 11: in that tunnel with the UNWA logo on it. So
- 15:53Speaker 11: food that was supposed to be from the un for
- 15:57Speaker 11: Palestinians who were starving to death ended up in this tunnel.
- 16:00Speaker 11: It's just unbelievable.
- 16:02Speaker 2: It is.
- 16:02Speaker 3: And you know, I was watching Chris Kenny's show earlier,
- 16:06Speaker 3: and he has been such a hero on this topic,
- 16:09Speaker 3: like Peter Gretlin, like Andrew Bolt, like Aaron Mouldon, like
- 16:12Speaker 3: so many of my colleagues.
- 16:13Speaker 2: And I'm so grateful for that.
- 16:15Speaker 3: But Chris Kenny had James Patterson on and James called
- 16:18Speaker 3: this and I thought it was a really good phase phrase,
- 16:21Speaker 3: a crisis of law enforcement.
- 16:23Speaker 12: Have a look, not only do we have an extremism crisis. Frankly,
- 16:27Speaker 12: I think we have a law enforcement crisis. The law
- 16:29Speaker 12: hasn't been enforced, the deterrent is not there, and that
- 16:32Speaker 12: is why it's getting worse.
- 16:35Speaker 2: He's right, Joe, Yeah, I think he is.
- 16:37Speaker 13: And I think I think there's a couple of problems.
- 16:39Speaker 13: One is that there are people who simply do not
- 16:42Speaker 13: understand the sort of mechanics what is actually going on here.
- 16:46Speaker 7: Now.
- 16:46Speaker 13: You had with those protests yesterday, they were infiltrated by
- 16:49Speaker 13: a group with very strong links to his Career, which
- 16:52Speaker 13: is an extreme Muslim organization that is banned in other
- 16:55Speaker 13: jurisdictions but has not been banned here, So you cannot
- 16:58Speaker 13: render them illegal yet because they are not illegal here.
- 17:02Speaker 13: And yet they have an extremely hardline position on Israel.
- 17:06Speaker 13: They have come very very close to saying abominable things
- 17:09Speaker 13: and have said abominable things about Jewish people more generally.
- 17:12Speaker 13: So you've got to you've got to do that.
- 17:14Speaker 9: And then you have.
- 17:15Speaker 13: These idiotic, moronic people, these left wing activists who are
- 17:21Speaker 13: being used as quite frankly, useful idiots, which is a
- 17:24Speaker 13: term of course, that the Bolsheviks used when they were
- 17:26Speaker 13: connecting the Russian Revolution. You hear them talking about revolution,
- 17:29Speaker 13: and you hear them this is what they're so excited about.
- 17:31Speaker 13: These are crazed, mentally ill radicals, and that's offensive to
- 17:37Speaker 13: the mentally ill, quite frankly. But these absolute insane, one
- 17:40Speaker 13: eyed ideologues who are just waiting for the next revolution
- 17:44Speaker 13: because this is almost their kind of fanatical moment, and
- 17:46Speaker 13: they think that this is it, and they are being
- 17:48Speaker 13: played for fools by actual extremists and in this case,
- 17:53Speaker 13: actual terrorists. They are becoming the allies, they are becoming
- 17:57Speaker 13: the authenticators, the legitimid of actual terrorists, and that is
- 18:03Speaker 13: where they've come and that is why again you see
- 18:05Speaker 13: Andrew Tate and Clementine Ford on the same side.
- 18:09Speaker 2: What does that tell you.
- 18:10Speaker 13: Just think about that, Clementine, just think about where you've
- 18:13Speaker 13: ended up.
- 18:13Speaker 3: It's absolutely insane, utterly irrational. Well, let's turn to Senator
- 18:18Speaker 3: Lydia Thorpe now, because she managed to embarrass the entire
- 18:21Speaker 3: country on the global stage, because this has gone international
- 18:26Speaker 3: when she threw a fit against King Charles and Queen Kimilla,
- 18:30Speaker 3: have a look.
- 18:41Speaker 4: Kind of sign against our people, give up our land back,
- 18:45Speaker 4: give us by your style from us, our bones, our star,
- 18:49Speaker 4: our baby, our people.
- 18:55Speaker 2: We want to training in this country, give up Steve.
- 19:10Speaker 3: My issue is, as I said, this has embarrassed Australia.
- 19:13Speaker 3: It was predictable that she was going to do this
- 19:16Speaker 3: because this is how she carries on in the Senate
- 19:18Speaker 3: every other day. So surely this was on the Albanezi
- 19:21Speaker 3: government not to invite her to this event because of
- 19:24Speaker 3: the risk that she posed.
- 19:28Speaker 11: Well, she wants to be a martyr and if they'd
- 19:30Speaker 11: done that, that's what would have happened. But it's so
- 19:32Speaker 11: predictable what she did and what she does, and she
- 19:34Speaker 11: doesn't understand it because she's too thick. She doesn't understand
- 19:37Speaker 11: that every time she has an outburst like that, particularly
- 19:40Speaker 11: in front of King Charles, but in front of anybody,
- 19:44Speaker 11: when she has these stupid outbursts that she's prone to make,
- 19:47Speaker 11: she just sets back the indigenous rights movement by dozens
- 19:53Speaker 11: and dozens of years. I mean, what do you think
- 19:55Speaker 11: people who are in favor of rewriting some of the
- 20:00Speaker 11: history that we have with Indigenous Australians do when they
- 20:03Speaker 11: see that sort of performance. I mean, it just turns
- 20:05Speaker 11: everybody off. She should, you're right, never been allowed in there.
- 20:09Speaker 11: But look, in a sense, I'm pleased she did and
- 20:12Speaker 11: was allowed to do it, because it just shows what
- 20:14Speaker 11: a moron she is.
- 20:15Speaker 3: We already knew she was a moro on though, Joe
- 20:18Speaker 3: and I don't think the King and the Queen, whether
- 20:20Speaker 3: you support the Monicu or.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Not, I don't think they should have had to be
- 20:23Speaker 2: treated like this.
- 20:24Speaker 13: No, and I don't think she's embarrassed the country, to
- 20:26Speaker 13: be honest, I just think she's embarrassed herself. I mean
- 20:29Speaker 13: Lydia thoughte acts like a child. It's not a matter
- 20:31Speaker 13: of sort of her politics or where she sits on
- 20:34Speaker 13: the political spectrum anymore. It's just that she's a child
- 20:37Speaker 13: who can't control her emotions, and she has childish outbursts
- 20:40Speaker 13: where she says, you know, idiotically, childlike, simplistic things that
- 20:44Speaker 13: have no real bearing to actual history or to the
- 20:48Speaker 13: actual political landscape.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Now, she's honestly like she shouldn't have been invited there.
- 20:52Speaker 13: She's certainly never been invited. I'm surprised. I mean it
- 20:55Speaker 13: was in the Great Hall of Parliament. She's a senator.
- 20:57Speaker 13: I presume she has access.
- 20:58Speaker 2: To it, very tied security.
- 21:01Speaker 3: I saw the invitation, invitation only there's no question she shouldn't.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Have been invited here.
- 21:07Speaker 13: She'd hand back that bear that she stole.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Now, Quantus workers who were found to have been illegally
- 21:13Speaker 3: sacked during the COVID pandemic in twenty twenty will now
- 21:16Speaker 3: receive financial compensation from the airline. This was a federal
- 21:20Speaker 3: court ruling today. They found that Quantus broke the law
- 21:23Speaker 3: when it stood down one thousand, seven hundred ground crew
- 21:27Speaker 3: in August twenty twenty. Steve, this is going to be
- 21:30Speaker 3: a multi million dollar bill now from Quantus.
- 21:35Speaker 11: Well, you can't see how they're not going to have
- 21:37Speaker 11: to pay compensation to the rest of the ground crew.
- 21:41Speaker 11: I mean seventeen hundred. There was three payments today, one
- 21:44Speaker 11: of thirty, one of forty, and one of one hundred
- 21:47Speaker 11: thousand dollars. Now, this all happened, of course at the
- 21:49Speaker 11: tail end of COVID and quantas would appear, was always
- 21:53Speaker 11: going to outsource its crew on the ground. They never
- 21:57Speaker 11: wanted to have to employ the baggage hand and the
- 22:00Speaker 11: people were working underneath the wings, and so they thought
- 22:03Speaker 11: that they could do it while COVID was still a problem.
- 22:06Speaker 11: And now it's come back to bot them because of
- 22:08Speaker 11: what's gone on. Of course with these three court cases,
- 22:11Speaker 11: now these were test cases. What happens next, We're going
- 22:14Speaker 11: to have to wait and see.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and there could be similar actions taken by people
- 22:19Speaker 3: who were sacked in other industries. I'm going to turn
- 22:21Speaker 3: to Channel nine. Deeply troubling allegations today that a senior
- 22:25Speaker 3: male manager at nine Entertainment has been accused of rape
- 22:29Speaker 3: by a junior female staff member. This in the Australian.
- 22:32Speaker 3: It's one of many investigations that are now underway. A
- 22:36Speaker 3: nine's acting CEO, Matt Stanton and his tip to become
- 22:40Speaker 3: the permanent CEO there. He's confirmed that some of these
- 22:43Speaker 3: active probes are being led by an external investigator. Joe,
- 22:47Speaker 3: I mean, these are criminal allegations, very serious. How do
- 22:51Speaker 3: you think Channel nine has handled this whole saga?
- 22:56Speaker 14: Well?
- 22:56Speaker 13: I think self evidently, the fact that the chair has gone,
- 22:58Speaker 13: the CEO has gone, and even the face of their
- 23:02Speaker 13: kind of their chief spin doctor Vic Bucken, who's a
- 23:05Speaker 13: very nice person, she's gone as well, tells you how
- 23:09Speaker 13: well they've handled it, and that is appallingly. I think
- 23:12Speaker 13: in a situation like this, probably the worst thing you
- 23:14Speaker 13: can do is go to ground and pretend that everything's
- 23:17Speaker 13: hunky dory and that there is no problem, which is
- 23:19Speaker 13: basically what they did with the sort of snow job
- 23:23Speaker 13: on Darren Wick's departure. And then having done that, I
- 23:27Speaker 13: think you have to basically say, right, sorry, fair cop,
- 23:30Speaker 13: we've been caught. We're going to make it an open book.
- 23:32Speaker 13: But already there were questions whether or not the report
- 23:34Speaker 13: would even be released, and then there's questions about whether
- 23:36Speaker 13: or not the board has actually I mean, all this
- 23:39Speaker 13: sort of bullying and harassment and sexual assault appears to
- 23:42Speaker 13: have been done by the vibe. I mean, where are
- 23:46Speaker 13: the people who caused all this harm? Where are the
- 23:48Speaker 13: people who actually said, you know, who bullied these poor
- 23:51Speaker 13: women out of and overwhelmingly was women out of the
- 23:54Speaker 13: organization or made them feel so anxious they could barely
- 23:57Speaker 13: face going to work, like who did it? I mean,
- 24:00Speaker 13: they've got Ray Hadley say, oh, this culture of bullying
- 24:03Speaker 13: has to stop. I tell you what would?
- 24:04Speaker 15: Right?
- 24:05Speaker 13: Hadley is complaining about a culture of bullying. You know,
- 24:07Speaker 13: there's something really fishy.
- 24:09Speaker 3: I don't know what you're trying to apply there, Joe,
- 24:11Speaker 3: quite seriously, because Ray's never been anything but a wonderful,
- 24:15Speaker 3: generous gentleman, huge supporter of my journalism.
- 24:19Speaker 13: Personally, I've never seen it to your journalist, certainly, but
- 24:22Speaker 13: I think that I think some of the people who
- 24:23Speaker 13: have worked with him in the past might have.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Haven't any evidence of that myself. Steve Price, Joe Hilda Brand,
- 24:30Speaker 2: thank you.
- 24:30Speaker 13: Both, Thank you very much.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Now let's turn to the United States.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Now only fifteen days until the presidential election, and it's
- 24:38Speaker 3: been a rollercoaster of a campaign and today was no different.
- 24:41Speaker 3: As you might have seen. By now, Donald Trump landed
- 24:44Speaker 3: himself a job at McDonald's here he was working the
- 24:48Speaker 3: drive through.
- 24:50Speaker 7: I like this.
- 24:51Speaker 9: I think I'm welcome back and do it again. Thank
- 24:53Speaker 9: you never touches the human hand.
- 24:56Speaker 11: Very good, nation ful.
- 25:00Speaker 10: How are you?
- 25:00Speaker 16: Thank you, mister president.
- 25:02Speaker 9: You made it possible but hardy.
- 25:05Speaker 1: People like us me.
- 25:07Speaker 13: I mean, I can see.
- 25:11Speaker 5: He prayed for you.
- 25:14Speaker 2: And that was on the outskirts of Philadelphia.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Now he used this stunt to take a swipe at
- 25:19Speaker 3: Kamala Harris, and he accused her of lying about working McDonald's.
- 25:25Speaker 11: I've now worked for fifteen minutes more than Kamala. Are
- 25:28Speaker 11: you gonna put this on your resume?
- 25:29Speaker 1: It never worked here?
- 25:31Speaker 9: Why would she lie about.
- 25:32Speaker 4: This sport like that?
- 25:33Speaker 11: So he's been put on your resume worked at McDonald's.
- 25:37Speaker 9: Why would she lie about that?
- 25:38Speaker 8: Why?
- 25:39Speaker 9: Because she's lying?
- 25:40Speaker 6: Kamala?
- 25:40Speaker 3: This one, okay, let's bring in Sky Newese contributor Kosha
- 25:44Speaker 3: Gada Kosher.
- 25:45Speaker 2: This has gone viral. Do you think it gives him
- 25:49Speaker 2: a leg up?
- 25:50Speaker 3: Does it help him be seen as a man of
- 25:53Speaker 3: the people in one of the key battleground states.
- 25:57Speaker 5: Yes, I think it helps him in a few ways.
- 25:59Speaker 5: Shows So one is there is this long tradition of
- 26:02Speaker 5: retail politics where you're engaging with small groups of people,
- 26:05Speaker 5: really one on one in a way that has a
- 26:08Speaker 5: different power than big rallies and mass media, and that's
- 26:11Speaker 5: really fallen by the wayside in recent times. Not everybody
- 26:14Speaker 5: has that common touch, as you say, and Trump has
- 26:17Speaker 5: always been very good at that. So it sort of
- 26:18Speaker 5: reminds people about that humanizes him. The second is it
- 26:22Speaker 5: did allow him to create this media cycle again about
- 26:25Speaker 5: did Kama Harris work and McDonald's or not. The two
- 26:28Speaker 5: campaigns have been pointing fingers about that, and there hasn't
- 26:31Speaker 5: been evidence either way, but it sort of goes to
- 26:34Speaker 5: that point, that allegation he's been making. And the third
- 26:36Speaker 5: is it controls the media cycle because we've got fifteen
- 26:39Speaker 5: days left, that's fifteen media cycles or less. And as
- 26:42Speaker 5: you say, this thing has gone viral, it's all anybody's
- 26:44Speaker 5: talking about. And then you know, he knocks one more
- 26:46Speaker 5: in the can and there's just that thirteen or fourteen
- 26:48Speaker 5: more days to go in which he wants to continue
- 26:50Speaker 5: to suck up the oxygen with the media.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Well, let's have a look at that, because two weeks out,
- 26:55Speaker 3: who is ahead? The Fox News' latest national survey does
- 26:59Speaker 3: have Trump ahead nationally, but then not in the seven
- 27:04Speaker 3: battleground states. So how do you read how the polls
- 27:07Speaker 3: are looking at the moment.
- 27:10Speaker 5: So the polls have been tightening more and more and
- 27:13Speaker 5: they're either within the margin of air with him down
- 27:16Speaker 5: a couple points or up a couple points. But it's
- 27:18Speaker 5: pretty much tied, I would say at the stage, and
- 27:20Speaker 5: all of that bounce had advantaged that Kamala Harris enjoyed
- 27:23Speaker 5: when Biden stepped to decide, seems to have settled in
- 27:27Speaker 5: a tide race. There's a couple other metrics that we
- 27:29Speaker 5: now have beyond the polls, since we're so close to
- 27:32Speaker 5: the election. That's voter registrations, which is one step towards
- 27:36Speaker 5: its we don't have mandatory voting in the US, it's
- 27:38Speaker 5: one step towards the act of voting if you took
- 27:40Speaker 5: the step to registrative vote. And Democrats have historically been really,
- 27:44Speaker 5: really strong. They're just much better at turning out the
- 27:46Speaker 5: vote in the ground game, and their advantage seems to
- 27:49Speaker 5: really be a voting Republican grassroots organizations have really closed
- 27:53Speaker 5: that gap. And then the third thing is early voting
- 27:55Speaker 5: is open in a lot of states right now, and
- 27:57Speaker 5: again Democrats really do much better with really building historically,
- 28:01Speaker 5: but Republicans seem to be surging in a lot of
- 28:03Speaker 5: the steats. So put those three things together with the polls,
- 28:06Speaker 5: it feels like the momentum is definitely in Trump's fever.
- 28:09Speaker 5: Election d should typically fever him and he comes in strong.
- 28:13Speaker 5: But fifteen d's is a lifetime in politics, and anything
- 28:16Speaker 5: can happen. Yet, bottom line is RACISTI very very tape.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:20Speaker 3: And the other point to make, of course, is that
- 28:22Speaker 3: in the past the polls have not properly recognized the
- 28:26Speaker 3: Trump vote. You know, there's been this suggestion that people
- 28:28Speaker 3: who are going to support Trump don't tell polsters, and
- 28:33Speaker 3: it's why his win against Hillary Clinton was such a shock.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Just finally, before you go, CBS has finally addressed the
- 28:40Speaker 3: allegations that had edited its interview with Kamala Harris. They
- 28:43Speaker 3: say this accusation is false. They said in a statement
- 28:47Speaker 3: that sixty Minutes gave an excerpt of our interview to
- 28:50Speaker 3: Face the Nation that used a longer section of her
- 28:53Speaker 3: answer than that on sixty Minutes, but a different portion
- 28:57Speaker 3: of the response. So basically Kamala, So basically Koha. They're
- 29:01Speaker 3: saying that the response they used from Kamala Harris painted
- 29:05Speaker 3: her in a more favorable light. And the question remains
- 29:09Speaker 3: whether they would have done the same to Donald Trump.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Yes, and I think you know all evidence to the
- 29:16Speaker 5: contrary them and every other media outlet. Splicing and taking
- 29:20Speaker 5: things out of context and all of that to either
- 29:22Speaker 5: harm a candidate in this case help a candidate is
- 29:24Speaker 5: something that happens all the time. What's interesting here, though,
- 29:27Speaker 5: is there is precedent with CBS itself to release full
- 29:30Speaker 5: unedited transcripts, because the reason that they gave that they
- 29:34Speaker 5: needed to edit in order to fit it into the
- 29:35Speaker 5: time slot doesn't really make sense because you can always
- 29:38Speaker 5: in the digital era release the whole thing separately. They
- 29:41Speaker 5: did it with form Attorney General Bill Barr in twenty nineteen.
- 29:44Speaker 5: They did it with Trump himself in twenty twenty. They
- 29:46Speaker 5: did it with the Federal Reserve Chure Jero and Powell
- 29:48Speaker 5: just earlier this year. So they have done that, and
- 29:51Speaker 5: the fact that they're not doing it here is just
- 29:52Speaker 5: raising more questions and putting them into heat that they
- 29:56Speaker 5: probably don't need to be in.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, Kosha Gada, thank you very much for
- 30:00Speaker 3: your insights. Now still to come inside Albanese's plan to
- 30:04Speaker 3: target Peter Dutton ahead of the federal election. Plus Israel's
- 30:08Speaker 3: special envoy for combating anti Semitism would join me live
- 30:12Speaker 3: after the assassination attempt on Netanyahu.
- 30:15Speaker 2: That's after this quick break, welcome back.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Israeli Prime Minister venture In Netanyahu has vowed to retaliate
- 30:24Speaker 3: after an assassination attempt by Iran via their proxy Hesbala
- 30:29Speaker 3: on the weekend. His home was targeted and he warned
- 30:32Speaker 3: this was a grave mistake.
- 30:35Speaker 9: Prime Minister, how is he going well?
- 30:37Speaker 1: Two days ago we took out Yuka Sunwar, the terrorist
- 30:40Speaker 1: mastermind whose goons beheaded our men, raped our women, burnt
- 30:45Speaker 1: babies alive. We took them out and we're continuing our
- 30:48Speaker 1: battle with Iran's other terrorist boxies. We're going to win
- 30:52Speaker 1: this war.
- 30:52Speaker 9: So were something to tear you.
- 30:54Speaker 2: No defiant there.
- 30:58Speaker 3: And thankfully Netanyahu and his wife Sarah weren't at home
- 31:02Speaker 3: in cesarea when Hesbela launched three drones on Saturday.
- 31:06Speaker 2: But you have to ask, why is Katar.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Harboring the likely new leader of hermas Khalil al Haya.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Where is the international pressure on.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Qatar to force the release of the hostages and to
- 31:20Speaker 3: stop protecting these Hermas leaders. Why does the international community,
- 31:26Speaker 3: Why are we not hearing from the likes of Penny
- 31:28Speaker 3: Wong proper pressure on Qatar, only Israel.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Well that's cross live now to Ranana, where I'm.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Joined by Israel's Special Envoy for combating anti Semitism, Mikhail
- 31:39Speaker 3: Kuttler Winch Mikhal, thank you very much for your time. Look,
- 31:43Speaker 3: we have to hope that ned and Yah who is
- 31:45Speaker 3: stepping up what you'd presume is already tough security amid
- 31:49Speaker 3: this alarming assassination attept.
- 31:53Speaker 7: Yeah, you're one hundred percent right. It is alarming, and
- 31:57Speaker 7: it is yet one more symptom of what you referred to,
- 32:01Speaker 7: which is actually the emboldening of genocidal terror proxies Hamas
- 32:06Speaker 7: is Balah, the Huthi's of a murderous Islamic regime in Iran,
- 32:11Speaker 7: all of them hell bent and openly intent to annihilate
- 32:15Speaker 7: the State of Israel and murder Jews, just like mind COMF.
- 32:19Speaker 7: And the unbelievable fact that we have been in this
- 32:24Speaker 7: sort of multi front war on the State of Israel,
- 32:27Speaker 7: launched on October seventh, but not at all ended on
- 32:29Speaker 7: October seventh. And I don't know if you viewers know,
- 32:32Speaker 7: but just in.
- 32:33Speaker 10: The last forty eight hours, barrages hundreds of rockets have
- 32:36Speaker 10: targeted Israel's North Haifa, in the cities along the coast
- 32:42Speaker 10: from up north.
- 32:43Speaker 7: Here's Bala, one of the genocidal terror proxies. Meaning the
- 32:47Speaker 7: emboldening of these terror proxies and they're supporting murderous regime
- 32:53Speaker 7: in Iran is what should trouble all democracies because in fact,
- 32:57Speaker 7: what they indicate is that those and are in bold
- 33:00Speaker 7: into attack in this war of barbarism and civilization all
- 33:05Speaker 7: of our democracies.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Yeah, now, Mickel and your role, you're combating antisemitism. We're
- 33:11Speaker 3: seeing this in unprecedented levels since the Second World War internationally.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Just in Sydney on the weekend, a famous Jewish kosher
- 33:20Speaker 3: kitchen in North Bondai was destroyed by fire in the
- 33:23Speaker 3: early hours of Sunday morning. New South Wales police say
- 33:26Speaker 3: that they're treating the fire at Lewis's Continental Kitchen as suspicious.
- 33:30Speaker 3: They say it's too early to tell if it was
- 33:32Speaker 3: a targeted arson attack. Michael, this extreme antisemitism, how do
- 33:38Speaker 3: political leaders need to be dealing with this?
- 33:43Speaker 5: Well?
- 33:44Speaker 7: That fire should be sounding the alarms in Sydney, Australia,
- 33:47Speaker 7: as it should be on the streets of Toronto, Berlin, Paris,
- 33:51Speaker 7: New York, in which we have seen not just a
- 33:54Speaker 7: rise but at tsunami of anti Semitic attacks targeting businesses,
- 33:59Speaker 7: individion rules, students, on campuses, on streets, online, everywhere we
- 34:05Speaker 7: have looked over the last year since October the seventh,
- 34:08Speaker 7: we have seen hundreds of percentages rises in antisemitism. And
- 34:13Speaker 7: that tsunami of antisemitism, as I said, should be sounding
- 34:16Speaker 7: the fire alarms, not just in Sydney, Australia, because the
- 34:20Speaker 7: very same anti semitism that fueled the atrocities, the war crimes,
- 34:25Speaker 7: the crimes against humanity that were perpetrated on October the seventh,
- 34:29Speaker 7: and I remind us that burned alive and raped and
- 34:33Speaker 7: mutilated and murdered and abducted hundreds of Israelis dancing at
- 34:38Speaker 7: a peace festival or sleeping in their beds, the very
- 34:41Speaker 7: same anti semitism fuels the responses that we have seen
- 34:45Speaker 7: not just to those atrocities, war crimes and crimes against humanity,
- 34:49Speaker 7: but to the multi front war raging since from up north,
- 34:53Speaker 7: from down south from the Red Sea. Around the world,
- 34:57Speaker 7: the same antisemitism is actual, le typified, or very much
- 35:02Speaker 7: what is manifested in the attacks we have seen in
- 35:07Speaker 7: Sydney included. And that is what makes this an existential moment,
- 35:11Speaker 7: not just for the state of Israel, the Jewish state,
- 35:14Speaker 7: and not just for Jews around the world that are
- 35:16Speaker 7: attacked as a result or as a response of this
- 35:19Speaker 7: raging war, but actually for the spaces and the places,
- 35:22Speaker 7: including Sydney, Australia, in which anti Semitism has been on
- 35:27Speaker 7: this consistent rise.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:29Speaker 3: And of course this is coupled with those shocking pro
- 35:32Speaker 3: Palestinian rallies that we see globally, praise for the hamas leader,
- 35:37Speaker 3: Sinoa as a martyr, as a legend. I mean, this
- 35:40Speaker 3: is people who claim to be calling for peace and
- 35:43Speaker 3: in fact they're just perpetuating hatred. Michael Cutler Wench, thank
- 35:47Speaker 3: you very much for your strength and speaking out about
- 35:50Speaker 3: this and traveling around the world to try and combat
- 35:53Speaker 3: anti Semitism.
- 35:54Speaker 2: It's so important.
- 35:55Speaker 7: Thank you, thank you, And if I may share you
- 35:57Speaker 7: just add another word that those rallies are not pro Palestinian.
- 36:01Speaker 7: Anyone who cares for Palestinians would be calling to free
- 36:04Speaker 7: Palestinians from Hamasa Genostatletair organization, the people of Lebanon from
- 36:09Speaker 7: Krisbalah Genesatalta organization, and frankly the people of Iran from
- 36:13Speaker 7: a murderous Islamic regime that does those very same things
- 36:17Speaker 7: to the people in those places, using them as human sacrifices,
- 36:21Speaker 7: shields and weapons.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Yeah, completely correct, and I had spoke about some of
- 36:26Speaker 3: that earlier in the show as well. You are one
- 36:28Speaker 3: hundred percent right. We are all pro Palestinian. We all
- 36:31Speaker 3: want Palestinians to live, innocent civilians to live, and none.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Of us want them to be killed. This is all
- 36:38Speaker 2: Every death, as I said, is.
- 36:39Speaker 3: On Hamasa's conscience, on Sinwa's conscious. Thank you very much
- 36:43Speaker 3: for your time. Now after the break, inside Anthony Albanese's
- 36:46Speaker 3: plan to win the election. Nothing about policies, all about
- 36:51Speaker 3: targeting Dutton the man. My political panel is up next,
- 36:55Speaker 3: and later one businessman is putting his money where his
- 36:58Speaker 3: mouth is to get the hostages home. Stay tuned, welcome back. Well,
- 37:06Speaker 3: let's bring in former advisor to John Howard, David Gazard
- 37:10Speaker 3: and former Chair of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, Michael Dandy, Welcome.
- 37:15Speaker 2: To you both.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Look, let's start with these reports today that Labour's developed
- 37:19Speaker 3: a cunning strategy to win the next election nothing to
- 37:23Speaker 3: do with improving life in Australia. According to The Australian
- 37:26Speaker 3: Albanezi as plotting yet another negative campaign against Peter Dutton.
- 37:32Speaker 2: They say it's going to focus on his.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Arrogant, aggressive and reckless personality instead of his policies. Well,
- 37:40Speaker 3: David Gazard, I mean, this was the strategy that was
- 37:43Speaker 3: used against Scott Morrison.
- 37:44Speaker 2: It was successful. Do you think it's going to work now.
- 37:49Speaker 8: Well, there's no doubt that some form of negative campaigning
- 37:52Speaker 8: does work. You might remember and certainly or are the
- 37:58Speaker 8: panelists will when on Howard referred to Kim Beasley as
- 38:02Speaker 8: having no ticker and the press their collective heads exploded
- 38:09Speaker 8: when he did that. But it did seed into the
- 38:13Speaker 8: community's mind if it wasn't there already, that he wasn't
- 38:16Speaker 8: up to the job of being PM.
- 38:17Speaker 9: Now.
- 38:19Speaker 8: There was something that went with that, though, and that
- 38:23Speaker 8: was John Howard running on a reform agend. It had
- 38:26Speaker 8: one term. People knew who he was. He was campaigning
- 38:28Speaker 8: for GST and tax reform. More broadly, it's hard to
- 38:32Speaker 8: know that the tried and true formula that Labor adopted
- 38:36Speaker 8: against Scott Morrison and has really done for two and
- 38:38Speaker 8: a half years now against Peter Dutton is going to
- 38:41Speaker 8: be successful when the voters have had a chance to
- 38:44Speaker 8: look at the Labor Party and say well, what are.
- 38:46Speaker 9: They campaigning for in a second term.
- 38:48Speaker 8: So, no doubt there'll be some successes and it will
- 38:52Speaker 8: be taken up with the light by sections of social
- 38:57Speaker 8: media and friends in the press gallery. But whether or
- 39:01Speaker 8: not it convinces regular people who've sat and had two
- 39:04Speaker 8: and a half years, three years by the time we
- 39:06Speaker 8: go to the polls to say well are they worth
- 39:08Speaker 8: going around again? All I see from the Labor Party
- 39:11Speaker 8: and the anthony out of Albanisi is a negative campaign.
- 39:15Speaker 8: I don't know it's easy to do from opposition that
- 39:18Speaker 8: it is from government.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, because of course in government you've got the
- 39:22Speaker 3: responsibility to fix everything.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Michael.
- 39:25Speaker 3: I don't mean to put you on the spot with
- 39:27Speaker 3: this questions, with this question, but you know alban easy, Pennywang,
- 39:31Speaker 3: these were your colleagues, you were in the Federal Labor
- 39:34Speaker 3: team for many, many years.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Do you think they deserve to win a game?
- 39:39Speaker 15: Well, it's changed very dramatically since I was there. Sherry,
- 39:42Speaker 15: Bill Shorten and Kim Beasley will leaders from the right
- 39:46Speaker 15: where the center of Australian politics lies. I think his
- 39:50Speaker 15: negative campaigning is very similar to Cameawa's strategy against Trump.
- 39:55Speaker 15: I'm not sure it'll Workton seems to have picked the
- 39:59Speaker 15: zeit guys to the Australian people with the referendum. Sixty
- 40:05Speaker 15: percent of Australian support Dutton's opposition to these mad rallies
- 40:08Speaker 15: that you were talking about before, according to The Herald,
- 40:12Speaker 15: and I think he's a positive pro nuclear campaign in
- 40:17Speaker 15: a Uranium rich Australia is eventually going to turn up
- 40:21Speaker 15: Trump's him too. So the way to answer it is
- 40:24Speaker 15: by taking keating s Bob Hawk policy positions and that
- 40:29Speaker 15: will beat negative campaigning.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Well, let's pick up on your reference there to Dutton's
- 40:34Speaker 3: nuclear plan, because he's gone to war with another ABC journalist,
- 40:38Speaker 3: this time over whether or not Western Australian town Collie
- 40:42Speaker 3: supports nuclear energy.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Have a look, how.
- 40:46Speaker 9: Do you know the vast majority of the public in Colligue.
- 40:49Speaker 16: Support Well, how do you know that they don't.
- 40:51Speaker 5: Well, I have spoken to a number of them, I
- 40:53Speaker 5: have seen you've spoken to a single member of the public,
- 40:55Speaker 5: not just the shape.
- 40:56Speaker 16: Oh look, I understand the position of the ABC. The
- 40:58Speaker 16: ABC has an ideological position because that's an issue for you.
- 41:01Speaker 16: I don't really care. I'm not interested in the politics
- 41:05Speaker 16: at the ABC. Well you can, you can be an advocate,
- 41:08Speaker 16: will be a journalist. I think the ABC using taxpayers.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Money in the advocacy position. I'm just asking the why
- 41:13Speaker 2: you haven't met with the people I think.
- 41:15Speaker 16: I think your advocacy position is fine, that's fine, But
- 41:18Speaker 16: when you've been employed by the ABC, I just think
- 41:21Speaker 16: your job is to be impartial.
- 41:25Speaker 3: David, do you think the ABC is taking an anti
- 41:28Speaker 3: nuclear position? And this isn't the first time we've seen
- 41:30Speaker 3: Dutton come out very strongly against ABC journalists during press conferences.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Do you think it's going to work for him?
- 41:38Speaker 8: Yeah, of course that they're they're going with an anti
- 41:41Speaker 8: Dutton position. They they always back and advocate for labor.
- 41:46Speaker 8: Peter Dutton would know far more about what the community
- 41:49Speaker 8: thinks on nuclear, by the way, than that reporter would.
- 41:53Speaker 9: And the idea that you could ask a few.
- 41:55Speaker 8: Friendly locals around you and then bowl up a question
- 42:00Speaker 8: the leader of the opposition, who's been advocating this position
- 42:03Speaker 8: across Australia is actually fascical. I mean, it shows how
- 42:08Speaker 8: little that reporter knows about the process of politics to
- 42:13Speaker 8: believe that you talking to a few locals gives you
- 42:17Speaker 8: the right to ask a question to the opposition leader
- 42:20Speaker 8: who's advocating a position and has done so strongly and
- 42:24Speaker 8: would be polling it. I mean, it's ridiculous, right, But
- 42:27Speaker 8: this is where we get to.
- 42:28Speaker 9: With media and Australia.
- 42:30Speaker 8: More and more, we're seeing it right across the Western
- 42:33Speaker 8: world as camps within the media become increasingly polarized. We're
- 42:38Speaker 8: not as far down the track as they are in
- 42:40Speaker 8: the US, where Donald Trump just comes out and says, well,
- 42:43Speaker 8: that's just fake news, but we're perilously close to that.
- 42:47Speaker 9: And this is where you go for someone like Peter Dutton.
- 42:52Speaker 8: They've got very little choice but to sort of say, well,
- 42:54Speaker 8: hang on, I'm never going to get a fair go
- 42:56Speaker 8: out of this reporter. I'm never going to get a
- 42:57Speaker 8: fair go out of the ABC. So they go to
- 43:00Speaker 8: the intent of the question and they ascribe a political
- 43:03Speaker 8: motive to the asking of that question.
- 43:06Speaker 3: What do you think, Mike, I mean, you've said that
- 43:09Speaker 3: you think that the nuclear position is working for Dutton
- 43:13Speaker 3: because it is a strong reform position like that taken
- 43:16Speaker 3: under the hot Keating era. He is going to the
- 43:19Speaker 3: election with a big vision. But it's whether the policy
- 43:23Speaker 3: is still controversial or whether the majority of Australians do
- 43:27Speaker 3: support it. We just don't know that yet.
- 43:30Speaker 15: It is controversial. But Paul Chris Bowen and the ABC
- 43:34Speaker 15: haven't caught up with the fact that in today's Financial
- 43:36Speaker 15: Times front page there's a surge in nuclear our stocks
- 43:41Speaker 15: in America as Google and Amazon are both building huge
- 43:46Speaker 15: data centers to be powered by these small modular reactors.
- 43:51Speaker 15: So you have to be smart address all or the
- 43:54Speaker 15: problems in nuclear energy. But the technology is going to
- 43:57Speaker 15: beat all of these neanderthalsarticularly in a Uranian rich country
- 44:01Speaker 15: like Australia, if Dunne sticks to policy prescriptions and Labor
- 44:06Speaker 15: just does this negative you know, he's a ball guy
- 44:09Speaker 15: and he's an ex policeman. That's all childish, infant tom
- 44:14Speaker 15: alcentraate on the issues, and.
- 44:16Speaker 3: They have they have attacked his appearance. They've accused him
- 44:19Speaker 3: in the past of looking like a potato. Really juvenile
- 44:22Speaker 3: things all right, David Gazard, Michael downby, thank you both
- 44:25Speaker 3: for your time. Tonight now still to come, one entrepreneur
- 44:29Speaker 3: is offering a cash reward for the safe.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Return of hostages.
- 44:33Speaker 3: I'll speak with Daniel Burnbaum about his plan after this
- 44:37Speaker 3: quick break. Well, the former Soda Stream chief executive Daniel
- 44:44Speaker 3: Bernbaum has revealed his bold offer to Palestinians who help
- 44:49Speaker 3: returning Israeli hostages still being held in Gaza.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Have a look.
- 44:54Speaker 14: This is a message for the good people in Gaza.
- 44:57Speaker 14: I have an offer for you. Anyone who delivers from
- 45:00Speaker 14: a living Israeli prisoner will receive one hundred thousand dollars
- 45:04Speaker 14: that would be paid either by cash or by bitcoin
- 45:07Speaker 14: as you prefer. Don't wait. This offer is valid until
- 45:12Speaker 14: Wednesday midnight, October twenty fourth, just a few days.
- 45:16Speaker 3: And this adds to the Prime Minister net and Yahoo's
- 45:19Speaker 3: promise of immunity for those who return living hostages. I'm
- 45:22Speaker 3: plased to say businessman Daniel Bernbaum joins me live now
- 45:27Speaker 3: from Israel. Daniel, this is very innovative because many people
- 45:31Speaker 3: are putting the problem of bringing the hostages home in
- 45:34Speaker 3: the too hard basket.
- 45:36Speaker 2: You aren't what made you come up with.
- 45:39Speaker 3: This idea and make this incredibly generous offer.
- 45:43Speaker 14: Well, I can tell you that israelis pretty much all
- 45:46Speaker 14: of us. I've been looking for ways to help this
- 45:48Speaker 14: terrible tragedy for about a year now, and there hasn't
- 45:52Speaker 14: been a way. I mean, what can you do? You're
- 45:54Speaker 14: a citizen, you're a business person, what could you do?
- 45:56Speaker 14: And then all of a sudden, after Snoar's elimination on
- 46:01Speaker 14: Thursday afternoon, there became an opportunity. At least I felt
- 46:04Speaker 14: there was an opportunity to embrace Benjamin Etaniao's offer to
- 46:09Speaker 14: provide immunity and free passage to any Palestinian who hands
- 46:13Speaker 14: over a hostage, and add to that a third leg,
- 46:16Speaker 14: the leg of financial compensation. I think, you know, you
- 46:19Speaker 14: got to hit on the iron when it's hot. There
- 46:22Speaker 14: seems to be an opportunity here. There might be chaos
- 46:25Speaker 14: Mayhem and the tunnels of Gaza, and you know there
- 46:28Speaker 14: have been so many eliminations there, and they must also
- 46:30Speaker 14: be hungry and frustrated themselves, all the people who are
- 46:33Speaker 14: holding hostages. Maybe maybe maybe someone there, maybe a family
- 46:37Speaker 14: member of a Hamas person, would would finally want to
- 46:40Speaker 14: make a better life for themselves and build a future,
- 46:43Speaker 14: get out of Gaza, get some money and let's get
- 46:45Speaker 14: some hostages back alive. There's a window of opportunity here.
- 46:48Speaker 3: It might be too early to ask this, but have
- 46:51Speaker 3: you had anyone contacting you so far?
- 46:54Speaker 14: It's not too early. You can ask your production team
- 46:56Speaker 14: how difficult it's been to reach me. And I'm getting
- 46:59Speaker 14: the more than one hundred contacts so far only in
- 47:02Speaker 14: the last twenty four hours. I'm passing on these contacts,
- 47:06Speaker 14: the stuff that's not obvious trash obviously. I'm passing it
- 47:09Speaker 14: on to the Israeli authorities that they can go ahead
- 47:12Speaker 14: and investigate and hopefully we'll get we'll get a lead
- 47:14Speaker 14: for a real life hostage.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Well, that is incredible.
- 47:17Speaker 3: If you manage to bring someone home, honestly, you will
- 47:21Speaker 3: be an international hero, just finally in tragic.
- 47:25Speaker 14: I don't want to be a hero show now.
- 47:27Speaker 2: But you will be.
- 47:28Speaker 3: We need our hostages brought home. We need these people
- 47:31Speaker 3: brought home. One hundred and one still still there. But Daniel,
- 47:37Speaker 3: I just want to share before we go, we've got
- 47:38Speaker 3: less than a minute left. Shirell Golan, she's a survivor
- 47:42Speaker 3: of the Nova Music Festival. She took her own life
- 47:46Speaker 3: on her twenty second birthday just yesterday. I think the
- 47:50Speaker 3: world forgets the trauma that people who survived are still
- 47:55Speaker 3: going through.
- 47:57Speaker 14: That's right. The hill actually lives very close to my hometown,
- 48:01Speaker 14: and it's a terrible tragedy. More than fifty people who
- 48:04Speaker 14: have already taken their lives among those who are in
- 48:06Speaker 14: the festival. Remember three hundred and sixty four people were
- 48:10Speaker 14: killed in that festival, but another more than two thousand
- 48:13Speaker 14: have witnessed terrible, terrible atrocities. And PTSD is a big problem,
- 48:17Speaker 14: very difficult to deal with. But you know, we all
- 48:20Speaker 14: embrace them. But I have no you know, I'm not
- 48:23Speaker 14: an expert in the topic, but it's such a sad situation.
- 48:25Speaker 14: I can tell you that all of Israel is right
- 48:27Speaker 14: now in PTSD, the whole country pain and agony, and
- 48:30Speaker 14: until we get the hostages back, we won't even be
- 48:32Speaker 14: able to turn the corner and go and heal ourselves
- 48:35Speaker 14: and create a future for our children and also for
- 48:37Speaker 14: the Palestinians.
- 48:38Speaker 10: We want them to be happy.
- 48:40Speaker 9: Yeah, we will do.
- 48:40Speaker 2: You. We're out of time.
- 48:43Speaker 3: Thank you for your courage, thank you for joining us.
- 48:46Speaker 3: All right, here's Paul Marie. I'll see you tomorrow at
- 48:48Speaker 3: eight thirty
