- 0:52Girls are autistic. It's just as well as boys are
- 0:54autistic. So how do you communicate better
- 0:56and how do you create better communication?
- 0:58I'm covering that right now in this video.

- 1:28Literally it's how I upload video and I upload 4 videos
- 1:31every day on every social media platform.
- 1:32So yeah, check me out on anything, even threads and weird
- 1:35things like Vero Guys, what's going on.
- 1:38Communication is the core for autism suction condition.
- 1:41There's there's two things that I think are most important with
- 1:44autism that are kind of the most debilitating.
- 1:46One is anxiety, which I have covered in other videos and if
- 1:49you haven't, go check out my other videos.
- 1:50There's loads of anxiety. But the other is communication.
- 1:53How do you communicate better with autistic individuals or how
- 1:55do you help girls? Nielsen Structural communicate
- 1:57better? Well, girls are quite an
- 2:00interesting example here. And talking about females now,
- 2:03but males on the Austin Spectrum are less susceptible to masking,
- 2:07which is basically like putting on a front, a kind of, well,
- 2:11putting on a mask or an act if you will, to overcome a certain
- 2:14social situation or a situation of communication that is
- 2:17uncomfortable. So boys in the Austin Spectrum
- 2:20will be more susceptible to just meltdown on that situation or
- 2:22completely shut off from it. Whereas girls will are more have
- 2:26more tendencies to mask or or to pretend to be comfortable in a
- 2:30situation when in actual fact they're dying inside and they
- 2:33just want to go home. And yeah it just it's just not a
- 2:36a couple situation for to be in because what happens is they go
- 2:40home after masking and then have a complete meltdown at home and
- 2:43then it's falls their entire time.
- 2:45Now before I go any further guys, if you want to download my
- 2:47Life Hacks PDF book for autism, you can do autismhacks.net right
- 2:51now. It's completely free.
- 2:53So they go like gifts you. The link is down below if you
- 2:55want to check it out. So how do you communicate
- 2:57better? How do you teach people to
- 2:58communicate better, especially girls on the orphan spectrum?
- 3:01The first thing is validation and acceptance.
- 3:03We have to teach that they should accept themselves of who
- 3:05they are. If they're not comfortable in
- 3:06the situation, then that's OK. Validate their feelings.
- 3:10Tell them that like, hey, it's OK to feel like that it's OK to
- 3:13struggle with communication and that is fine.
- 3:16That's who you are. So once they validate their
- 3:18feelings, once their feelings are heard and they know that
- 3:20what they're doing is nothing wrong, then you can implement
- 3:23things like confidence. How do you build confidence in
- 3:26someone who's feeling terrible at communicating?
- 3:29Where you say to them What medium do you feel best at?
- 3:31Maybe they want to send emoji text messages.
- 3:33Maybe they want to send a voice note.
- 3:35Maybe they want to send emails. Maybe they're going to film a
- 3:37video and send you the video. Maybe they even want a zoom
- 3:39call. When you find the format in
- 3:42which they best relay information, encourage and get
- 3:46them to use that. But when they are using that,
- 3:48they will feel so much more in control of their life.
- 3:51And when you have control, you have confidence.
- 3:52When you have confidence, you have validation, and when you
- 3:54have validation you beam like the sun, you are able to fully
- 3:57be who you want to be. Nobody's holding you back.
- 4:00This is the best way to increase confidence and communication
- 4:03between girls and autism. This will stop a lot of masking
- 4:06going on when you're trying to communicate because obviously
- 4:08when you're masking, you're not actively communicating in the
- 4:10proper manner that you want to, you know, relay information.
- 4:13And at the same time it's going to build so much more confidence
- 4:17in the person and make them just a better communicator all round.
