- 0:00Basement, welcome to a special live stream video event.
- 0:04We could get some news on Friday.
- 0:06They could result in big, big moves in the silver price and
- 0:10gold price. And I owe you an apology,
- 0:12basement dwellers. I forgot to mention it this
- 0:15morning, but on Friday we're going to get the jobs number and
- 0:19that could we could be set up just perfect for a big move in
- 0:24the precious metals. I want you to be prepared.
- 0:27Now, I'll be honest with you. I'm being optimistic when I look
- 0:31at all the factors involved and we're going to talk about them
- 0:34in this brief video. I believe the odds are in our
- 0:38favor for a big move up on Friday.
- 0:42Now, we've talked about this exhaustively over the summer.
- 0:46We are trudging through the summer doldrums and the silver
- 0:49market and the gold market were strong soldiers, right?
- 0:53One day at a time, waiting for the fall.
- 0:56But I'm telling you as I'm thinking about this, as I'm
- 0:59analyzing what could and I'll emphasize could happen on
- 1:03Friday, we could be in for a big, big move.
- 1:07Let's go straight out here, dig into this and and before we get
- 1:11off, we're going to talk about crazy news, crazy things
- 1:15happening right now in the bond market and the Japanese yen to
- 1:20dollar market. That could also be spelling
- 1:23like, I don't know, financial crisis, OK, which we know what
- 1:28that'll do for silver and gold, but let's talk about Friday 1st,
- 1:31then we'll talk about the Japanese yen.
- 1:33OK, let's go. I want to take you out to this
- 1:40is from Yahoo Finance coming into focus this week.
- 1:44OK, guys, is the June jobs report due on Friday?
- 1:49I thought they were going to wait till next week.
- 1:51That's going to be watched for signs of a of cooling in the
- 1:55labor market that could help make a case for interest rate
- 2:00cuts. So if we get a number on Friday
- 2:03and we're going to go out and look at the economic calendar
- 2:06and see what the expectation is. And we know this is all short
- 2:10term noise, but if we're going to have any kind of move, any
- 2:13kind of catalyst this summer, I'm going to tell you it's going
- 2:17to happen this Friday and it could start early, right?
- 2:20This what? And things are happening faster
- 2:22now. So, you know, the more I think
- 2:24about this, the more optimistic I am for Friday.
- 2:27I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Friday is going to
- 2:29be a big, big update for silver and gold.
- 2:33Now, you know, my track record as of late has been pretty darn
- 2:36accurate, but please don't make any financial decisions based on
- 2:41what I'm saying. But guys, if we get a a low job
- 2:46number on Friday, that's gonna make the whole market.
- 2:49And again, it's all short term noise.
- 2:51They're gonna think, oh, the Fed's gonna cut rates.
- 2:52The Fed's gonna cut rates because the next sentence states
- 2:56encouraging signs that inflation is slowing toward the Federal
- 3:01Reserve's target. Plus emerging cracks in the
- 3:05economy have spurred hopes for a policy pivot.
- 3:10So we have cracks in the economy.
- 3:12We talk about that ad nauseam. OK, the PMI number came out this
- 3:16morning, which was another big crack, right?
- 3:20Why do I laugh when I say crack? I don't know.
- 3:22Also other the, the, the inflation numbers that came out
- 3:26last week, a lot of people thought were showing that
- 3:29inflation was coming down. If we get this is the deal,
- 3:33guys, if we get a low job number on Friday, and again, we're
- 3:37going to go out and take a look at the economic calendar here in
- 3:40just one second to see what the expectations are.
- 3:43But if we get a number that comes in under expectations, we
- 3:46can't. We can't take anything for
- 3:49granted with these guys, though. The Bureau of Labor and
- 3:52Statistics, which on Wall Street, we're not calling it
- 3:55that, but a lot of people on Wall Street do call it the
- 3:58Bureau of Lies and Statistics. But at some point, they're going
- 4:03to have to face the reality that the economy is just not
- 4:06producing that many jobs. And I'll just briefly say, you
- 4:11probably already know this, But then every month they always
- 4:14then revise downward the previous two months.
- 4:17I think last month was like a crazy beat.
- 4:19So, you know, maybe it'll be a crazy beat.
- 4:21Maybe I'll be dead wrong, but I just have a feeling I got a
- 4:25sneaking suspicion that we might get a bad number on Friday.
- 4:28US manufacturing activity data released today on Monday showed
- 4:33the Institute for Supply Management PMI index fell
- 4:37further into contraction territory in June, hitting a
- 4:42four month low. So let's go look at the economic
- 4:45calendar 1st. This is the Fendiz economic
- 4:49calendar for the week. OK, that was this morning ISM
- 4:52manufacturing data. That's a red.
- 4:55That's a red exclamation point. That means that it is important.
- 4:59The red exclamation points are important.
- 5:02That showed that the the economy slowing, OK, it was expected to
- 5:05come in at 49.1%. It came in under expectations at
- 5:1048.5%. All the slowing economy sign
- 5:14guys, all that means and it is a bunch of BS, but we got to pay
- 5:18attention here again temporarily because the gold and silver
- 5:22price are are searching for a catalyst.
- 5:25So it's paying attention to the economic data which then feeds
- 5:29into what the Fed will do. And when this economic data
- 5:32comes in bad, poor, lower than expected, like the PMI number,
- 5:38like the potential job numbers Friday, that means that the Fed
- 5:42has a lot more leeway to lower rates, which a lot of people
- 5:45think will be in September. I didn't look today, but as of
- 5:48Friday, the odds of a rate cut in September were about 68%,
- 5:52which will make gold and silver fly, fly, fly away.
- 5:57Again, it's all temporary noise, but we got to play their game
- 6:00here for a little bit. Let's go down to Friday and look
- 6:04at the, there's some other red marks, FOMC minutes, whatever.
- 6:11Thursday is the 4th of July here in the United States.
- 6:14So there will be no economic releases.
- 6:16But on Friday at 8:30 AM Eastern Time, we will get this number.
- 6:20This is the biggest number of the year for silver and gold
- 6:23investors, OK? The biggest number of the
- 6:26second-half of the year, non farm payrolls, red exclamation
- 6:33point expected to be 185,000. Last month, the economy
- 6:39supposedly miraculously created 272,000 jobs.
- 6:43Guys, I got a feeling, I got a feeling that we're going to be
- 6:48in for a good, good big day in the silver price and gold price
- 6:53on Friday. Because that jobs number, they
- 6:56can only screw with it for so long.
- 6:58Now, nothing would shock me or you, right?
- 7:01We've been down this road before, but be prepared for a
- 7:04big move Friday, and maybe it's a move to the downside.
- 7:07Maybe I could be dead wrong, but my money, if I were to put any
- 7:10money on it, would be that we're going to have a big up move.
- 7:13It could be the start, the end, the silver and gold price.
- 7:16Have we spent enough time consolidating?
- 7:20In gold, around $2300 per oz. In silver, around $29.00 per oz.
- 7:26Let's run out and get an update. Take your blood pressure
- 7:29medicine, basement dwellers. We're going to check on the
- 7:31silver and gold price. We're going to go to Pinbex and
- 7:35a gold's up $0.21 at basically $2330 per oz.
- 7:41Silver's up a little bit, about half a percent, $29.32.
- 7:45Don't forget this live stream videos made possible by the
- 7:48support of our sponsor Pinbex Pi MB EX.
- 7:54If you want to buy gold, silver, platinum, group metals, if you
- 7:56want to get the best price, if you want to have great selection
- 7:59and a company you can trust, investigate Pinbex.
- 8:02OK, I'll never tell you what to do, but throw them into the mix.
- 8:06Next time you're looking to buy some silver, gold or platinum,
- 8:09let's go out here quickly and look at the ISM.
- 8:12Hi everybody, thank you. Wow flash live stream.
- 8:15We got almost 200 people, man. More and more people are tuning
- 8:19into the basement and I am, no, I'm not going to let you do that
- 8:23here from FX St. this is today's number USISM manufacturing,
- 8:28manufacturing is declining, right?
- 8:3148.5 was the reading versus A 49.1 ISM manufacturing PMI
- 8:37declined slightly in June. So this is all pointing.
- 8:41What's important here guys is this is all pointing.
- 8:45There's three, there's three components we need to talk
- 8:48about, right? The economic data slowing down,
- 8:52OK, the inflation data picking or slowing down, right?
- 8:58Inflation coming in lower than expected.
- 9:01So economic data, the general economic data like the ISM is
- 9:05showing cracks in the economy. Inflation is slowing down.
- 9:09OK, No wonder, right? Because who has money?
- 9:14You know, people, the Americans are, are kind of sorted out of
- 9:16money right now. At some point people would just
- 9:19stop buying stuff. And we're seeing that
- 9:21everywhere. We're seeing like the swimming
- 9:23pool store. They just reported to us last
- 9:26week that people aren't spending like they're spending money on
- 9:29things they have to spend money on.
- 9:31But it like, let's say they want to buy new furniture for around
- 9:34their pool. No, they're not buying that,
- 9:37right? Because they got to go buy a, a
- 9:39$25 lunch meal for their kid at McDonald's.
- 9:43Nobody the money. There's only so much money out
- 9:45there. And so the discretionary stuff
- 9:47is going into the toilet. Restaurants are closing right
- 9:51and left. So the economic data down, OK,
- 9:54inflation, all these are good. All these, all these mean that
- 9:58the Fed is going to have to cut rates inflation down.
- 10:02Friday is the big kahuna. Be prepared.
- 10:05The jobs number, if that comes in lower than expected, maybe
- 10:10we'll have a shock, right? We could it seems like it seems
- 10:14like we get shocks all the time in that number.
- 10:16Maybe it'll be shockingly low. If those three things are lining
- 10:20up, the market is going to realize that the brakes are on
- 10:24the economy, right? It's like a train takes a while,
- 10:27like a cruise ship. But the the Fed is going to have
- 10:30to cut rates. Now let's talk about the other
- 10:32major story going on right now because this does matter.
- 10:36It matters big time, guys, interest rates.
- 10:39We're gonna go out and get an up-to-the-minute reading here on
- 10:43what's going on. This is at Yahoo Finance.
- 10:46This is the 10 year bond yield, which is what everybody follows.
- 10:50It has been skyrocketing. I want to point something out to
- 10:53you. Just one week ago, this rate was
- 10:57what, at 4.25? Basically we've had a quarter
- 11:02point interest rate rise in the 10 year bond yield over the last
- 11:06five days. That is massive.
- 11:09That is absolutely huge. I wanna make sure I've got you
- 11:12on the screen, which I do that. How do I put it slightly That is
- 11:21that contracts the economy, that makes borrowing costs go up and
- 11:25up and up. This is a big deal.
- 11:28But what's wild, what's wild is what's going on at the same time
- 11:33right here. And let's update this.
- 11:36This is the US dollar to Japanese yen.
- 11:39Oh my gosh, now this is absolutely crazy.
- 11:43OK, I was going to say, if it dropped that low, look at the
- 11:47this is the Japanese yen one day, right?
- 11:49It really spiked earlier today, got as high as 161.
- 11:55Wow, 16152. But let's look at 5 days.
- 11:59The yen is just crashing and it's not pulling that up for me.
- 12:05Let's see this here's three months on the Japanese yen.
- 12:07OK went from 1:50 to all the way in.
- 12:11For a currency to move this much is massive, OK, People are
- 12:16talking about the financial pundits are talking about a
- 12:19crash in the Japanese yen. Why is that important?
- 12:23Why is that impacting the 10 year bond yield?
- 12:25A lot of people thinks it's because it's because the
- 12:28Japanese banks are in big trouble.
- 12:30We had the one no Machuky or whatever it's called last week
- 12:33announced they had to sell $63 billion of U.S.
- 12:38Treasuries just to just to stay afloat, just to meet their
- 12:43liquidity needs. So that then is pushing up all
- 12:47this stuff is interconnected. That's pushing up the 10 year
- 12:50bond yield that makes borrowing money because people, we go back
- 12:53to this over and over. People don't want to buy, hold
- 12:56or buy the US debt. The rates have to go higher,
- 13:00right? That's gonna make the economy
- 13:01crash. What's gonna wind up happening
- 13:03in all this is the Fed is going to have to print money.
- 13:07Yes, this guy. Hold on, let's get him out.
- 13:10Boy, he's been coming out of late a lot lately.
- 13:13This guy, you ready for your daily your daily visit from
- 13:17Jerome. This guy is going to have to
- 13:20print money right? This stuff and this is Unicorn
- 13:27tut tut, Unicorn fart dust, right?
- 13:30Magic money, funny money, Fiat money, whatever you want to call
- 13:35it to buy the debt because nobody's going to want it.
- 13:37The Japanese are dumping it. Everybody's dumping it.
- 13:40The rates are going to. It's called yield curve control.
- 13:42And it's crazy because if you think about it, that's exactly
- 13:47why Japan is in the situation they're in right now.
- 13:51They're like the United States on steroids.
- 13:54But then we're going to have to wind up doing the same thing,
- 13:57right 'cause we made the same poor decisions.
- 13:59Kind of ironic, right? That's what the Japanese central
- 14:02bank does. Prince Unicorn fart yen and buys
- 14:07their own debt, you know, and that's what the United States is
- 14:10going to have to do. But what does that do to the the
- 14:13value of the currencies right now?
- 14:15It's like, oh, the yen's crashing.
- 14:16The yen's. Well, that's, it's like
- 14:18comparing couple of turds in a toilet.
- 14:20Sorry, I'm crude just the way I am.
- 14:22That's as crude as I'll get though, I promise you.
- 14:24But that's the best, that's the best analogy, right?
- 14:28Comparing the yen and the dollar, right?
- 14:31The dollar's not far behind because look at this, look at
- 14:34this, it's time. Gosh, I think I may have shown
- 14:36this already today, but we're going to show it again.
- 14:39This is what happens right to the value of real assets.
- 14:42There's the 30 year silver price history in Japanese yen per oz,
- 14:48right? Skyrocket.
- 14:49Do you see it? And you can't see my finger on
- 14:53the screen, but on the right side of the screen, right?
- 14:56Look how I mean look at that's the silver price.
- 14:58That's the 2011 high. That's when silver hit $50.00 in
- 15:02the United States. Look how much higher it has gone
- 15:04in Japanese yen because they're doing the same thing we're
- 15:07doing. And now, I mean, it's getting
- 15:10crazy like the big financial pundits are talking about it,
- 15:15about this massive crash in the Japanese yen.
- 15:19Wahi. Coin chop Chris.
- 15:21Good to see you guys. Don't forget coin chop Chris has
- 15:24his own channel. Coin chop Chris, put it in the
- 15:26search bar. Check it out.
- 15:27OK, John Colombo, it was like that in Germany three months
- 15:31ago, stating it's in a depression.
- 15:34Well, they say that a lot of Europe is actually in a
- 15:38depressed state now economically.
- 15:41That's a big difference, Ron. Yeah, it's a massive.
- 15:45If you're referring to the if you're referring to the change
- 15:50in the interest rates, the 10 year, that's a big deal.
- 15:53OK, Say, oh, it's only a quarter percent for the 10 year bond to
- 15:57move that much is a big deal. The amount that the Japanese yen
- 16:01has moved is a big deal. Oh, the final thing I want to
- 16:04talk about and that this is not a political show.
- 16:08You, you. And by the way, thank you for
- 16:11being here, OK? This is not possible without
- 16:15you, right? You are the apple of your mom's
- 16:18eye. That's one thing we have in
- 16:19common. We all have moms, right?
- 16:21But you're an important part of the basement as well.
- 16:23You're a basement dweller. When you come down here, you
- 16:26have friends. When you come down here.
- 16:28You're always welcome. I really hope that you feel like
- 16:31you found a little home away from home, a little refuge from
- 16:34the storm as we navigate these choppy waters of gold and
- 16:38silver. And we do it together, OK?
- 16:41Please give this video a thumbs up.
- 16:43That will help get the word out to more people.
- 16:46And I'm going to ask you to please subscribe to my channel.
- 16:49I don't do that as much as I used to, but it is important.
- 16:52I want you to be able to get updates when new content comes
- 16:56out. Now Basement dwellers and and,
- 16:59and, and men and women of the basement.
- 17:03This is not political, I promise you.
- 17:05However, now we are getting news that wrong screen.
- 17:12OK, here we go close. It looks like Joe Biden is not
- 17:19going to drop out of the presidential race.
- 17:21And I just think that that that that this situation as we move
- 17:27into the next five months, I'm not going to cast any judgement.
- 17:31I'm not. But people are saying now that
- 17:32his wife really enjoys being first lady and that she doesn't
- 17:37want him to drop out. We know that his son has great
- 17:42judgement, right? That his son is is also urging
- 17:47him not to drop out. It's a very, I mean, it's just
- 17:51almost an unbelievable situation politically.
- 17:56What is going on in the I mean, it's like if you, if we had
- 18:00talked 10 years ago, you and I, and I'd explained to you what
- 18:04the political situation alone would be right now, would you
- 18:07believe me? Would you believe me?
- 18:11I mean, on so many levels, right you.
- 18:15It's just almost, it's almost too crazy to believe.
- 18:19So be ready right now. Look, I think Friday could be a
- 18:24very, very big, big, big day for the precious metals.
- 18:29I think that the these these data points that get released
- 18:33depending on kind of the, the way that the different factors
- 18:38are aligned can have different levels of impact on the silver
- 18:42and gold price. I think that this Friday, this
- 18:46employment number, it's almost like a an asymmetric
- 18:49opportunity, meaning that, you know, if the employment, if the
- 18:53jobs number comes in unbelievably great, I don't
- 18:56think they're going to be able to knock down gold and silver
- 19:00nearly as much as the opportunity is for them to go
- 19:03up. If we get a jobs number, which
- 19:06is a quote UN quote disappointment.
- 19:09Now the I mean, and who knows? I mean, like last last month,
- 19:13the jobs number surprised to the upside by, I don't know, 150,000
- 19:18jobs or something. It's crazy, right?
- 19:20And of course will, will, they'll revise those numbers
- 19:23this month. They'll say, you know, that
- 19:25number last month that was we said was unbelievably great.
- 19:28Well, we kind of made a mistake. It was actually overstated by
- 19:32like 50,000 jobs none the less at some point.
- 19:36And man, we've not for those of you that follow it closely like
- 19:40I do, we've not had a good strong day in the gold price and
- 19:45silver price on the on the jobs number jobs release day.
- 19:49And that's a big, big day that we get on a monthly basis.
- 19:52So we'll be paying attention on Friday.
- 19:54I could see right, I talked about again, you know, I don't
- 19:58want to go too far on a limb, but I could see like a A4 or 5%
- 20:02move day in the silver price, gold maybe 2%.
- 20:06You know what, whatever it could, it could be the catalyst
- 20:10if we are going to have a rally this summer.
- 20:14I would think that this Friday is very likely the day of any
- 20:19that we could have in the next 5-6 weeks that could, that could
- 20:22really, really kick things off. Hey, thank you for joining me.
- 20:25Have a great day. I just wanted to hop on and
- 20:27share those two breaking news storming the Japanese yen, the
- 20:3110 year bond yield, that is a big deal, right?
- 20:35Interest rates got raised by 1/4 point.
- 20:39Essentially the market raised interest rates by 1/4 point over
- 20:43the last almost a week alone if you're judging by the 10 year
- 20:46bond yield. The Japanese yen is crashing the
- 20:50Japanese banks. You know the Japanese economy, I
- 20:53forget where it ranks, but it's in the top seven in the world.
- 20:57It's a big deal. If they have a big issue that
- 20:59comes through, it could affect the United States, right?
- 21:04It could affect our financial system as well.
- 21:06So we're going to keep a close eye on that.
- 21:09At bare minimum, we can use those Japanese as a great
- 21:12example of what we can expect coming down the road, right,
- 21:16With yield curve control, with the, with the central bank
- 21:20printing money out of thin air to buy their own sovereign
- 21:24country's debt. The chart that I've shown you ad
- 21:27nauseam that shows silver alone just in the last, what, 5 to 10
- 21:32years as the price of silver and gold for that mail have
- 21:35skyrocketed in Japan. That's what we have to look
- 21:39forward to. Have a great day.
- 21:40Thanks for being here. All right and I'll see you.
