- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackey, and it's time for us to
- 0:02Speaker 1: go to God in prayer, and as always I ask
- 0:05Speaker 1: that you join along with me in prayer. And today
- 0:10Speaker 1: I just think about the importance of family and the
- 0:13Speaker 1: family being rooted in love and in grace, and the
- 0:17Speaker 1: importance of forgiveness and families because none of us are perfect,
- 0:22Speaker 1: none of us, and so it's important that we handle
- 0:25Speaker 1: one anohing with love and with grace. Heavenly Father, in
- 0:30Speaker 1: the name of Jesus, we thank you today for the
- 0:33Speaker 1: sacred gift of family and all its shapes and all
- 0:38Speaker 1: its seasons. God, we see a reflection of your heart,
- 0:42Speaker 1: a place where love begins, where grace is learned, where
- 0:46Speaker 1: we are shaped into who you've called us to be. Lord.
- 0:48Speaker 1: We know that families are not made of perfect people,
- 0:51Speaker 1: because we aren't. We're made up of people learning to love,
- 0:55Speaker 1: learning to forgive, and to show up for one another
- 0:59Speaker 1: day after day. So God, we ask you, now, with
- 1:02Speaker 1: humble hearts, to help us build our homes on your
- 1:05Speaker 1: truth and your grace. Where there's division, God brings unity
- 1:08Speaker 1: where there's silence, Bring healing words where there's distance, Help
- 1:12Speaker 1: us close the gaps with compassion where there are wounds,
- 1:16Speaker 1: Pour out the oil of your mercy. Teach us Lord
- 1:19Speaker 1: to forgive quickly and to love deeply, not because it's
- 1:24Speaker 1: always easy, but because you've forgiven and you loved us first.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Let our pride give way to humility, and our stubbornness
- 1:33Speaker 1: melt into surrender. Help us God to speak kindly even
- 1:37Speaker 1: when emotions run high. Let our words carry the weight
- 1:41Speaker 1: of kindness, and our silence be filled with patience and
- 1:45Speaker 1: with prayer. Lord, Please bless parents who carry silent burdens,
- 1:50Speaker 1: who who pray, who sacrifice to create a safe space
- 1:54Speaker 1: for their children. God strengthen them where they feel unseen,
- 1:58Speaker 1: and when they feel overwhelmed, God, God, remind them that
- 2:01Speaker 1: their labor of love is not in vain. God, bless
- 2:05Speaker 1: the children and the youth. Fill their hearts with respect
- 2:08Speaker 1: and curiosity and honor for their families. Help them to
- 2:12Speaker 1: see beyond rules and correction and into the deep love
- 2:15Speaker 1: and care behind every not every boundary, every prayer whispered
- 2:20Speaker 1: over them that they don't even realize and see God.
- 2:23Speaker 1: And for those who feel the ache of broken family ties, God,
- 2:28Speaker 1: those that are griefing, those that are strange from their family,
- 2:31Speaker 1: or walking through seasons of separation. God, I ask right now,
- 2:35Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus, be their comforter. Restore what
- 2:39Speaker 1: seems lost, Redeem what seems too far gone. You are
- 2:43Speaker 1: the God who brings prodigal sons and daughters home. You
- 2:46Speaker 1: knit hearts back together. God, Let our homes be places
- 2:50Speaker 1: of laughter and learning, and love and light. Not perfect, God,
- 2:56Speaker 1: but full of grace, Not without struggle, but rich in
- 2:59Speaker 1: your process. Let our tables be places of welcome, Our
- 3:03Speaker 1: words be seasoned with love. In our lives be testimonies
- 3:06Speaker 1: of your faithfulness. Finally, Lord, let every family reflect the
- 3:11Speaker 1: love of Christ, selfless, sacrificial. Instead fans, let the world
- 3:16Speaker 1: see you and how we love each other. God, we
- 3:19Speaker 1: surrender our families to you right now in the name
- 3:22Speaker 1: of Jesus. God, we know and we trusted. Your hands
- 3:24Speaker 1: are gentler, wiser, and more powerful than ours. In Jesus' name,
