  Time to put my money where my mouth is.

  This is Nate's daily wager for January 4th, 2025.

  Damn, 2026. I only made it three days in and

  I messed up on the 4th day. I thought I'd make it deeper

  into the year, but, well, I also didn't think it would take me

  this long to get a win, but all right.

  Oh, for three on the year with wins, and three and one on the
• 0:42
  year for dates. So let's see if I can turn this
• 0:45
  around on the winds and get back on the right track tomorrow.

  The date. So last night didn't go well.
• 0:52
  As I mentioned Javi and I lost some money, but that's the way
• 0:55
  it goes. And I'm not sure if it was me
• 0:58
  that jinxed Javi or Javi that jinxed me, but either way, both
• 1:01
  of us jinxed the Niners. So today we got a whole bunch of
• 1:04
  games that don't matter and a couple of games that do.

  And the one that matters the most, they're playing last.

  Smart thinking by the NFL on the flex we got, the loser leaves
• 1:14
  home and really it's the loser gets fired and ends up the coach
• 1:18
  of the New York Giants. At least that's what I'm
• 1:20
  thinking, right? Like both of these coaches been
• 1:23
  with their teams a while. Both of these teams realize they
• 1:25
  need to do something to get out of this 500 where they end up,
• 1:29
  don't do anything in the playoffs, Got to get over the
• 1:32
  hump, got to shake things up. And yet they're both still
• 1:34
  decent coaches. And Giants are going to be
• 1:37
  looking for something. So that's the way I see it.

  So looking at this game, it's currently 3 1/2.

  I don't know who's going to win. It's going to come down to the
• 1:44
  end. It's going to come down to who
• 1:46
  coaches the least worst between these two.

  So that 3 1/2 is about right, but it could be on either side,

  honestly. So I'm going to be getting

  points and I'm going to be getting the hook on the right

  side. That's what I want.

  I don't feel great about taking the Steelers, but I wouldn't

  feel great about taking the Ravens either.

  Having to give up 3 1/2, I don't feel great getting 3 1/2.

  I feel better getting that half. So this is where I'm at.

  And that's the making of a good sweat.

  A game that has stakes. The teams care.

  It should end up close and you're not exactly sure which

  way you should go anyways. So you throw it out there and

  you hope and you think that your bet has a chance and doesn't

  have a chance all at the same time as you're watching the

  game. So we're going to go Pittsburgh

  Steelers plus 3 1/2 against the Baltimore Ravens and tonight's

  NFL closeout game. Football Sunday night, end of

  the year playoff loser goes home action.

  See anything better than that? Pound it.

  That's my pick and I'm sticking to it.

  Vinnie, I know you boys got something for the crew.

  Give them what you got. Ladies and gentlemen, it's

  another Sunday English Premier League slate of games.

  Oh my gaffer coming at you from the island of Maui on vacation.

  Gaffer's got to get some time off once in a while.

  We got a terrific slate of games today.

  We already have a Man United tie with Leeds.

  But the best game, of course, is the last game.

  We got Manchester City, we got Chelsea.

  Arsenal got the three points yesterday.

  They stay up top but Man City's going to stay right behind them.

  They're going to take care of things against Chelsea, they're

  going to get the three points. Pep Guardiola squad is on fire,

  playing really well as of late. Chelsea can't hang with them.

  Man City's going to get the three points.

  It's Week 18 and I'm back with my locks for the week because if

  Vinny's looking to round out the season strong with AW for you
• 3:45
  guys before we head into the playoffs next week.

  Speaking of the playoffs, there's really not a lot of

  action on the schedule today that has playoff implications,
• 3:54
  and the two best games with playoff implications happened
• 3:56
  yesterday. While the AFC North is on the
• 3:59
  line tonight between the Steelers and the Ravens, I have
• 4:01
  no interest in touching that game.

  The winner of that game will go on to win a division and get
• 4:06
  knocked out of the first round of the playoffs.
• 4:09
  And of course, Cosimini is tracking his Birds as they host
• 4:12
  the Washington Commanders with playoff implications on the
• 4:15
  line. And yeah, Nick C Ariani came out
• 4:17
  and said he's going to rest most of his starters and start our
• 4:22
  beloved backup quarterback Tanner McKee.
• 4:25
  And while Cosimini never likes making his lock a week, lock of
• 4:29
  the week have anything to do with the Birds or Birds players.
• 4:32
  Cosimini just can't resist a backup quarterback, just like
• 4:36
  the Philadelphia Eagles fan base cannot resist a backup
• 4:40
  quarterback. And if there's one thing we know
• 4:43
  in Philadelphia is that for whatever reason, backup
• 4:46
  quarterbacks just seen the thrive.
• 4:49
  Let's not forget a fighter fights Jeff Garcia, Big Dick,
• 4:52
  Nick Foles, and now Tanner. Yet to have a nickname McKee.

  So. So given Cousin Vinny's and the

  rest of the fan base is natural infatuation with backup
• 5:04
  quarterbacks, the first thing Cousin Vinny did this week was
• 5:07
  look at the over under on passing yards for Tanner McKee,
• 5:10
  which sit around 223 two 24225 range depending on what book he
• 5:15
  used and when he looked at it. So let's have a discussion about
• 5:18
  Tanner McKee. Let's try to objectively look at
• 5:21
  this. Let's Cousin Vinny's going to
• 5:22
  break this down and pretend for a second that he's not a Birds
• 5:25
  fan who's infatuated with backup quarterbacks.
• 5:28
  Couple points here. One, it's been confirmed all
• 5:31
  week, known all week that Tanner McKee is getting the start.
• 5:35
  So Sirianni, Patulo, McKee, they've had all week to look at
• 5:40
  the playbook and open it up and there's going to be a Tanner
• 5:44
  McKee game plan. And if I had to guess, if I had
• 5:47
  to guess, that game plan is going to involve him throwing
• 5:50
  the ball because why not? Tanner McKee plays well and all
• 5:54
  of a sudden you have Howie looking on the offseason and
• 5:56
  draft night to flip this guy for a second round pick.
• 5:59
  So that being said, I don't think they're going to be afraid
• 6:01
  to throw the ball today #2 the Commanders are a team that McKee
• 6:06
  can attack. The Washington Commander's
• 6:08
  defense is old and checked out and and on the other side of the
• 6:13
  ball the Commanders are starting their third string journeyman
• 6:17
  quarterback Josh Johnson, who I could argue is much worse than
• 6:22
  Tanner McKee and even up against the Eagles backups on defense
• 6:27
  might not move the ball that much.
• 6:30
  That being said, Tanner McKee is going to have ample
• 6:33
  opportunities to throw the rock and lastly, McKee has shown he
• 6:38
  can produce a week 18 to the 2024 season.
• 6:41
  Last year McKee threw for 269 yards and two TDs in a
• 6:46
  meaningless start against the Giants.
• 6:48
  That performs alone shows that he has the baseline capabilities
• 6:52
  to top the over easily in this game even as a young developing
• 6:57
  QB. So all that being said, Cousin
• 7:00
  Vinny is absolutely pounding me over on the passing yards for
• 7:05
  Tanner McKee. So enjoy this final week at the
• 7:09
  NFL season, enjoy watching Tanner McKee throw all over
• 7:13
  Washington and I hope you pound me over and take it to the bank

  and lock it up until next week Playoffs.
