- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news. Now you'll find out what
- 0:03Speaker 1: it all means. It's Mark Simone on.
- 0:08Speaker 2: 710WOR.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Hey, well, a.
- 0:12Speaker 4: Lot to get to today. We'll go over last night's
- 0:14Speaker 4: Blakeman-Hockel debate. We'll get to Katie Zachariah. We'll get to
- 0:19Speaker 4: Kimberly Guilfoyle. We'll get to the president. He's on the road. Boy,
- 0:23Speaker 4: is he on the road. We'll get to... The horses
- 0:26Speaker 4: are going to get banned in Central Park. We'll get
- 0:28Speaker 4: to Mamdani and Tisch and the Pope and a whole
- 0:32Speaker 4: lot more. So, yeah, the president's an incredible schedule. He
- 0:37Speaker 4: made a trip to Alaska yesterday afternoon. That's a seven
- 0:41Speaker 4: and a half hour flight. Although you can go pretty
- 0:43Speaker 4: fast in Air Force One. Six hours. Alaska, big rally.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Then flew from there to Las Vegas, Nevada. Spent the
- 0:53Speaker 4: night in Las Vegas. From Las Vegas, he's going to
- 0:56Speaker 4: Arizona today and then another state or two. This, of course,
- 1:01Speaker 4: would have killed Joe Biden. He wouldn't have survived any
- 1:04Speaker 4: of this. But Trump, business as usual, crisscrossing the country.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Big rally last night in Alaska. Huge cheers. Now, we'll
- 1:15Speaker 4: get back to the president in these rallies. Midterms, it
- 1:19Speaker 4: actually looks pretty good for the Republicans in the Senate.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Looks pretty good in the real polls. A house too
- 1:25Speaker 4: close to call right now. New press secretary is Katie Zachariah,
- 1:32Speaker 4: and she was nervous and shaky in the first briefing,
- 1:35Speaker 4: White House briefing. That's happened before. It happened with Sean Spicer.
- 1:38Speaker 4: It happens many times. But, of course, you got the
- 1:41Speaker 4: fake news, the MSNBC, MSCNN, New York Times crowd, who
- 1:48Speaker 4: just exploded. This was their whole topic for the whole day,
- 1:51Speaker 4: that it was a train wreck. A disaster, a train wreck,
- 1:55Speaker 4: the worst thing. Well, it's not the worst thing ever.
- 2:00Speaker 4: She was nervous. And the problem is they threw her
- 2:04Speaker 4: in there without any prep. Normally, it takes a lot
- 2:06Speaker 4: of prep to do your first briefing. You got to
- 2:08Speaker 4: spend a week at the White House. You got to
- 2:11Speaker 4: spend a lot of time with all the principals, talking
- 2:14Speaker 4: at great length to them, learning backwards and forwards, every
- 2:17Speaker 4: detail of everything going on. Then you got to, you know,
- 2:22Speaker 4: talked to the president a lot for a couple of
- 2:24Speaker 4: days about what type of briefings he wants, how he
- 2:27Speaker 4: wants it done. There's a lot of prep that goes
- 2:29Speaker 4: into this. For some reason, if the president made a
- 2:32Speaker 4: mistake here, this was the mistake. He threw her in
- 2:34Speaker 4: too fast. Should have let her have a week at
- 2:37Speaker 4: the White House to get herself acclimated, get ready for everything. Instead,
- 2:42Speaker 4: as soon as you get there, do the briefing the
- 2:44Speaker 4: next day. So it was a little too soon. Now,
- 2:46Speaker 4: she wasn't that bad. The biggest problem was, You have
- 2:52Speaker 4: to read an opening statement. You have to run down
- 2:55Speaker 4: all the things you want to brief the press on.
- 2:58Speaker 4: So for eight minutes, she went through this opening. Now,
- 3:01Speaker 4: this is a real art, being able to read this
- 3:03Speaker 4: without looking like you're reading it. You don't want to
- 3:06Speaker 4: look like Chuck Schumer, where you put on these Ben
- 3:08Speaker 4: Franklin glasses, look down on the whole time. It happens
- 3:12Speaker 4: a lot. It's a strange skill to be able to
- 3:15Speaker 4: read a teleprompter or a script and not look like
- 3:19Speaker 4: you're reading. Very few people have this skill. TV anchors
- 3:21Speaker 4: have it. But in television, a lot of times you'll
- 3:24Speaker 4: see a guy's a guest on the show every week.
- 3:27Speaker 4: He's great. Every day he's a guest. He's phenomenal. What
- 3:30Speaker 4: a talker. And then one day they let him fill in.
- 3:32Speaker 4: And then when he has to read the teleprompter, he
- 3:36Speaker 4: suddenly gets very stuck. He's not used to reading a teleprompter.
- 3:39Speaker 4: So that was, but then again, that just takes a
- 3:42Speaker 4: little practice. They'll have a media coach work with her.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Somebody will show her how to do that, how to
- 3:47Speaker 4: look up and how to, So that gets fixed real fast. Now,
- 3:51Speaker 4: the rest of it where she had to answer questions
- 3:54Speaker 4: or talk about, she was fine. She was a little nervous.
- 3:57Speaker 4: She was a little shaky. Again, it happened to Sean
- 4:00Speaker 4: Spicer his first day and other press secretaries. But the
- 4:04Speaker 4: toughest thing she had to reveal was Kimberly Guilfoyle being
- 4:07Speaker 4: asked to leave. Now, you take a listen. She sounds fine.
- 4:09Speaker 5: We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign. She has been
- 4:14Speaker 5: a wonderful asset to the team, and we wish her well.
- 4:18Speaker 4: All right. I mean, it's a little, you know, sounds
- 4:22Speaker 4: like Carrie in Sex and the City. It's a little,
- 4:24Speaker 4: but OK, she's a young woman. That's how they talk.
- 4:28Speaker 4: But again, she was fine.
- 4:30Speaker 5: I am so honored to work for President Trump and
- 4:34Speaker 5: the American people as the new White House press secretary.
- 4:40Speaker 4: OK, so a little stilted and a little nervous. Again,
- 4:45Speaker 4: you got to wait till the next one. The next one,
- 4:50Speaker 4: if she's much better, then she's going to be fine.
- 4:52Speaker 4: She'll get better every time. If she's exactly the same,
- 4:55Speaker 4: then you might have a problem. But it wasn't as
- 4:57Speaker 4: bad as you're hearing. You can remember what a train
- 4:59Speaker 4: wreck it was. She looked good up there. The eyebrows
- 5:03Speaker 4: were a little too dark. You got to fix those eyebrows,
- 5:05Speaker 4: tone those down. But otherwise, she was fine. The listener,
- 5:11Speaker 4: she's fine.
- 5:12Speaker 5: So I intend to, to the extent possible... include my family,
- 5:16Speaker 5: include my kids in my work. Though my work will
- 5:19Speaker 5: be demanding, they will always be a priority. And President
- 5:22Speaker 5: Trump is the most family-friendly president we've ever had. He
- 5:26Speaker 5: has hired more women with families. And the fact that
- 5:29Speaker 5: he knew I had four kids and he knew that
- 5:32Speaker 5: this job would be demanding and still placed his trust
- 5:34Speaker 5: in me shows that I know I'm capable of being
- 5:37Speaker 5: able to step.
- 5:38Speaker 6: Up to that.
- 5:39Speaker 4: That was fine. It's not great. I mean, listen, you're
- 5:41Speaker 4: not going to say, what an orator. Well, she's Winston Churchill. No,
- 5:44Speaker 4: you're not going to say that. But you wouldn't listen
- 5:47Speaker 4: to that and go, wow, it's a train wreck. But
- 5:49Speaker 4: if you're watching MS Now or CNN, they all run
- 5:55Speaker 4: around like chickens with their head cut off, yelling and
- 5:58Speaker 4: screaming about train wreck. That's what they do over there.
- 6:01Speaker 4: They get themselves all worked up about nothing. Hey, last night,
- 6:06Speaker 4: I was speaking to Kimberly Guilfoyle. The word is there's
- 6:09Speaker 4: more stuff coming. There's more stuff coming. Now, here's the
- 6:14Speaker 4: suspicious part. This whole story about the donor, the.
- 6:18Speaker 2: $ 100, 000.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Payoff for American Express, all this stuff, apparently this story
- 6:22Speaker 4: was developed four months ago. I don't want to mention publications,
- 6:26Speaker 4: but they had it four months ago and held it.
- 6:30Speaker 4: They were trying to use it to screw up the
- 6:32Speaker 4: midterm elections for Trump. They held it until now, releasing
- 6:36Speaker 4: it just three weeks before the election. And apparently there's
- 6:40Speaker 4: more stuff. They're going to unleash it. in the coming
- 6:43Speaker 4: three weeks. So it's to damage Trump. That's to damage
- 6:47Speaker 4: her too, but that's one reason they just told her
- 6:50Speaker 4: to get out and leave. She has been very supportive
- 6:54Speaker 4: of the president, putting out all kinds of statements. I
- 6:56Speaker 4: still support him. I'm 100% behind him on this, on that. Very,
- 7:01Speaker 4: very gracious. And the other thing is she might need
- 7:03Speaker 4: a pardon. That's the other reason for that. The president,
- 7:07Speaker 4: if he were to lose the House, The House is
- 7:10Speaker 4: then going to subpoena everybody. They're going to hold hearings.
- 7:13Speaker 4: They're going to go after everybody, Don Jr., Eric. They're
- 7:16Speaker 4: going to go after Kimberly Guilfoyle if they see something here.
- 7:19Speaker 4: She's a big target because they think because she was
- 7:24Speaker 4: engaged to Donald Trump and with him for a couple
- 7:27Speaker 4: of years, boy, she must know everything about the inner
- 7:30Speaker 4: workings of the Trump family. So that's why she'd be
- 7:32Speaker 4: a big target. So it's possible that if the president
- 7:37Speaker 4: loses the House, He may start pardoning people right away
- 7:41Speaker 4: just so they blunt those House hearings and she'll want
- 7:44Speaker 4: one of those pardons. Hey, the big debate was last night.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Blakeman and Hochul, almost everybody, almost everybody agrees Blakeman won,
- 7:53Speaker 4: won big. If you look at the newspapers or the
- 7:57Speaker 4: news sites where they get a bunch of panelists, you know,
- 8:00Speaker 4: some political analysts ask them to all vote. Even they
- 8:05Speaker 4: said Blakeman won. You know, you'd get the one hardcore
- 8:08Speaker 4: Democratic strategists, but very few of them said Hochul won.
- 8:13Speaker 4: In fact, most of them, they couldn't, they didn't want
- 8:14Speaker 4: to say Blakeman won. So those real Democrat types, well,
- 8:18Speaker 4: it was a tie. That means Blakeman won. He was
- 8:21Speaker 4: very good. Hochul had a lot of problems in that debate.
- 8:27Speaker 4: From her point of view, it's a good thing to
- 8:28Speaker 4: tie him to Trump because the Democratic voted, well, they
- 8:31Speaker 4: hate Trump. So we understand that, but it was too much.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Every second it was Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump.
- 8:38Speaker 4: It was too much. Didn't look good after a while.
- 8:41Speaker 4: And then some people think Blakeman should have tied her
- 8:44Speaker 4: Mamdani more. He didn't even mention Mamdani until the fourth
- 8:48Speaker 4: quarter of this debate. But OK, no, I mean, you've
- 8:51Speaker 4: got plenty of other plenty of other things to go
- 8:53Speaker 4: after her for. But it's interesting when he did mention Mamdani.
- 8:58Speaker 4: When he did say, you know, Mamdani's an anti-Semite, he's anti-Semitic,
- 9:03Speaker 4: he's anti-American, he's anti-Christian. When he went through all that,
- 9:09Speaker 4: Hochul never defended him. Hochul never said a word. Didn't
- 9:14Speaker 4: stick up for Mamdani in the debate. Now, I guarantee
- 9:17Speaker 4: you Mamdani was in Gracie Mansion watching the debate. And
- 9:21Speaker 4: when he heard Blakeman say all this stuff, he waited
- 9:24Speaker 4: for Hochul's response. And Hochul did not defend them in
- 9:29Speaker 4: any way. So it'd be interesting to see if this
- 9:32Speaker 4: changes the supposed support Mom Donnie's going to have for Hochul.
- 9:37Speaker 4: We'll see what happens. But Blakeman was great in the debate.
- 9:40Speaker 6: I'm going to ask you to vote for change. What
- 9:43Speaker 6: have you got to lose?
- 9:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 9:45Speaker 4: It's a line Donald Trump used in 2016. Hochul... I
- 9:50Speaker 4: had all kinds of prepared responses and cliche things to say.
- 9:54Speaker 8: He says that he's going to bring Trump style leadership
- 9:58Speaker 8: to Albany and he's going to let ice run rampant
- 10:01Speaker 8: in our streets.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Yeah. Now, see, this is what Hochul did the whole debate.
- 10:04Speaker 4: This is the problem. I don't know if this works.
- 10:06Speaker 4: These lies are too preposterous. This is just hysterical nonsense.
- 10:11Speaker 4: There was no look at all his campaign ads, every
- 10:14Speaker 4: campaign speech. There's no time at any moment that he
- 10:18Speaker 4: ever say, I'm going to bring Trump style leader. He
- 10:20Speaker 4: never said that. He never proposed having ice run rampant
- 10:24Speaker 4: in the streets. He just, uh, he's for law enforcement.
- 10:28Speaker 4: He's a law enforcement guy. She, some law enforcement, not
- 10:32Speaker 4: too much law enforcement. You know, if you're an illegal
- 10:35Speaker 4: committing crimes, you get a pass. Even if you are
- 10:40Speaker 4: a criminal and you get arrested. No bail, no jail.
- 10:42Speaker 4: She's weak on crime. I think that really got through
- 10:45Speaker 4: to most viewers. Now, the big problem with the debate,
- 10:48Speaker 4: it's on New York One, which absolutely nobody watches. New
- 10:51Speaker 4: York One has 12 viewers. The other problem, as I
- 10:54Speaker 4: kept telling you, very biased, very left-wing. You'll notice they
- 10:59Speaker 4: kept cutting off Blakeman. There were moments where she would
- 11:02Speaker 4: launch a vicious attack, and he'd say, can I just respond?
- 11:05Speaker 4: We have to move on. I'm sorry, we have to
- 11:07Speaker 4: move on. That's the cry of the biased moderator. First
- 11:11Speaker 4: of all, you're doing a TV show. If she really
- 11:14Speaker 4: hit him hard, let him respond. This is good. This
- 11:16Speaker 4: is the debate. This is the debate. Let him respond. No,
- 11:21Speaker 4: I'm sorry. We have to move on. We have to
- 11:23Speaker 4: move on. Left-wingers, you notice they never once did it
- 11:26Speaker 4: to Hochul. Every time they did that, it was to Blakeman.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Then the other thing the bias networks always do, and
- 11:34Speaker 4: they did this towards the end, they ask a deep question,
- 11:38Speaker 4: and then as Blakeman would answer, They'd say, it's a
- 11:41Speaker 4: yes or no question. We have to have a yes
- 11:42Speaker 4: or a no, yes or a no. There has to
- 11:44Speaker 4: be a rule. In fact, anybody, if you're ever in
- 11:46Speaker 4: a debate, just tell them, just say it. I don't
- 11:49Speaker 4: do yes or no questions. I'll only give you an
- 11:52Speaker 4: answer with substance. I'm not doing a yes or no question.
- 11:55Speaker 4: It's a trick trying to trap you. Blakeman didn't fall
- 11:58Speaker 4: into it, but he was great last night.
- 12:00Speaker 1: The reason why.
- 12:01Speaker 6: That happened is because of you, Kathy Hochul, and your
- 12:04Speaker 6: immigration policies. Kathy Hochul appealed. to ICE to let this
- 12:09Speaker 6: criminal out. What was this guy doing in New York
- 12:12Speaker 6: in the first place? It's because Kathy Hochul has made
- 12:15Speaker 6: us a sanctuary state.
- 12:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Now, you should have explained it, though, because some people
- 12:20Speaker 4: may not know, especially a New York One viewer, because
- 12:22Speaker 4: they only get half the story. The guy's a career criminal.
- 12:26Speaker 4: The guy's a gangbanger. The guy, Hochul kept yelling, they're
- 12:30Speaker 4: just shooting at random into cars. No, they're not. They'll
- 12:34Speaker 4: only shoot if you take your car and you try
- 12:35Speaker 4: to run them over. That's, That's the only way you're
- 12:38Speaker 4: going to get shot. But she really, really got crazy
- 12:43Speaker 4: and desperate at times. I don't think we have this clip,
- 12:46Speaker 4: but at one time she got so desperate. I can't
- 12:51Speaker 4: believe she even did this. Joe Biden used to try
- 12:54Speaker 4: this crap, but Biden was a real slimy guy. In
- 12:58Speaker 4: a debate, he was the lowest lowlife. They used to
- 13:02Speaker 4: do this to a Republican. They'd start yelling, QAnon! Nobody
- 13:05Speaker 4: knows what the hell QAnon is. It's some kind of
- 13:08Speaker 4: chat room on the internet somewhere with 12 people in it.
- 13:11Speaker 4: It has nothing to do with Trump. It has nothing
- 13:13Speaker 4: to do with Republicans. They don't even know what QAnon is.
- 13:17Speaker 4: So she started hitting him. Blakeman is hanging around with QAnon.
- 13:21Speaker 4: First of all, nobody could, you can't hang around with QAnon.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Who the hell could even find them? He's hanging around
- 13:27Speaker 4: with white supremacists. Can you picture Bruce Blakeman hanging around
- 13:30Speaker 4: with white supremacists? That is the oldest, cheapest, dirtiest, lowest,
- 13:35Speaker 4: low-life thing you could do in a debate. At one point,
- 13:38Speaker 4: she pulled... That's how desperate she got. Bruce Blakeman hangs
- 13:41Speaker 4: around with QAnon and white supremacists. And that was a
- 13:47Speaker 4: sign of absolute desperate panic to try something that low
- 13:52Speaker 4: and stupid and cheap. And I think that hurt her
- 13:54Speaker 4: with the audience, really hurt her with the audience. But Blakeman...
- 13:58Speaker 4: kept battling her. She kept trying to fight back.
- 14:00Speaker 8: He refused to condemn what ICE did. So he basically
- 14:03Speaker 8: says in the state of New York, he'd be fine
- 14:05Speaker 8: if ICE agents shoot into cars.
- 14:12Speaker 7: Yes.
- 14:12Speaker 4: I don't know if anybody's buying this. Blakeman says ICE
- 14:14Speaker 4: agents should just shoot into cars. No, it's like any
- 14:17Speaker 4: law enforcement agency anywhere. If you're going to get killed
- 14:21Speaker 4: and the car is going to run you over, that's
- 14:23Speaker 4: deadly force. You are allowed to use deadly force back.
- 14:27Speaker 4: uh it's her sanctuary i said.
- 14:29Speaker 2: New york is not a sanctuary for criminals.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Well nobody's buying that right now from.
- 14:35Speaker 8: Her that is the war with iran that is driving
- 14:37Speaker 8: up gasoline costs and energy costs.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Uh who edited these clips they're way too short way
- 14:45Speaker 4: too short you got you gotta get the whole answer
- 14:47Speaker 4: in there but um blakeman just kept battling her back kathy.
- 14:53Speaker 6: Donald trump didn't raise utility rates 48 times you did.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Yeah no he was very good on the energy and
- 15:00Speaker 4: that when you do a read through all the surveys
- 15:02Speaker 4: and focus groups they are all of them unanimous on
- 15:07Speaker 4: that number one issue energy bills costs taxes and she
- 15:12Speaker 4: is the One that raised your energy bills up like
- 15:15Speaker 4: crazy 18 times. She's the one that's taxing you more
- 15:18Speaker 4: than any other state anywhere. So it was basically affordability.
- 15:24Speaker 4: And you got to blame Hochul on that. Energy costs,
- 15:29Speaker 4: all that stuff. Taxes, ridiculous taxes and more taxes coming.
- 15:33Speaker 4: And crime. Crime was the big issue.
- 15:35Speaker 8: New York State now has the lowest crime rates it's
- 15:38Speaker 8: had in modern history.
- 15:40Speaker 6: Maybe you haven't heard.
- 15:42Speaker 9: U.S.
- 15:42Speaker 6: News and World Report says I have the safest county
- 15:44Speaker 6: in America.
- 15:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:46Speaker 4: Now, you know, the funniest thing he does. He does
- 15:50Speaker 4: have the safest county in America.
- 15:51Speaker 10: U.S.
- 15:52Speaker 4: News and World Report does a survey every year. So
- 15:55Speaker 4: she argued that it wasn't because of him. It was
- 15:57Speaker 4: because the previous county executive. That was like eight years ago.
- 16:01Speaker 4: That was Laura Kern. It was years ago. How on
- 16:04Speaker 4: earth could you claim that? So she looked pretty ridiculous
- 16:07Speaker 4: at times. We'll play you some more clips. We'll go
- 16:09Speaker 4: over the debate some more. We'll find out what you
- 16:12Speaker 4: think about it. A lot coming up. It's Mark Simone.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Three hours every day. Nine to noon. Three hours every
- 16:19Speaker 4: day on 710WOR.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Mark Simone on 710WOR.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Well, hey, yeah, they want to get rid of all
- 16:29Speaker 4: the horses in Central Park. I could see getting rid
- 16:33Speaker 4: of them outside of Central Park. They should not be,
- 16:36Speaker 4: those horse carriages should not be riding around the streets
- 16:38Speaker 4: in New York. They just screw up traffic everywhere. Restrict
- 16:41Speaker 4: them to Central Park. But no, no, no, the city
- 16:44Speaker 4: council is about to pass a bill. Looks like they're
- 16:46Speaker 4: going to get this passed. They've tried this before, but
- 16:48Speaker 4: it looks like they really got the support this time.
- 16:50Speaker 4: They're going to pass a bill once and for all
- 16:52Speaker 4: banning the horse-drawn carriages completely. Mayor Mamdani is behind it.
- 16:59Speaker 4: City Council Speaker Julie Mennon is behind it. And that's
- 17:03Speaker 4: the deal. They'll completely ban horse-drawn carriages in the Big Apple.
- 17:08Speaker 4: They've been there in Central Park for a couple of centuries.
- 17:11Speaker 4: This will be a big change. The bill would make
- 17:18Speaker 4: horse-drawn carriages. Now, here's the thing. They'll have to go
- 17:21Speaker 4: by June of 2028. So it's almost two years from now. Now,
- 17:26Speaker 4: the reason for that is they believe you got to
- 17:30Speaker 4: give the drivers plenty of time, plenty of time to
- 17:34Speaker 4: find new jobs, to figure out what to do with
- 17:36Speaker 4: the carriage, the horse, sell it. Now, they also have
- 17:39Speaker 4: medallions like a taxi cab. They have medallions that have
- 17:43Speaker 4: a lot of value to them. It's a lot of
- 17:46Speaker 4: money for a medallion. So the city has to figure
- 17:48Speaker 4: out how to reimburse them. for the medallions or do
- 17:52Speaker 4: something or possibly help them find something else to do
- 17:55Speaker 4: for a living. So that's why it's June of 2028.
- 17:58Speaker 4: The reason is, you know, been a lot of horses
- 18:03Speaker 4: that have dropped dead, fainted, fallen in the street in
- 18:06Speaker 4: the past year. It's been happening forever, but more so
- 18:11Speaker 4: in the past year. Several bills have failed, but it
- 18:15Speaker 4: looks like this one has everything it needs to pass
- 18:17Speaker 4: the And that could be it for the carriage.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Just an industry that New York can't really sustain anymore.
- 18:23Speaker 8: We are too busy, too crazy of a city to
- 18:26Speaker 8: have horses walking through the streets of New York.
- 18:29Speaker 2: And I think it's just the time that we need
- 18:31Speaker 2: to do this.
- 18:32Speaker 4: All right. But if it's too dangerous to have a
- 18:35Speaker 4: horse clip-clopping along the street very slowly, why is it
- 18:39Speaker 4: okay to have those bikes going a million miles an hour,
- 18:41Speaker 4: especially in the park? They're just racing around the park.
- 18:45Speaker 4: That's as dangerous as the horses.
- 18:47Speaker 11: I would hope that the city council members have, you know,
- 18:52Speaker 11: that they remember why they came to government and that
- 18:54Speaker 11: that was to help people, not hurt people. This bill
- 18:58Speaker 11: will be devastating for carriage drivers and carriage owners. People
- 19:02Speaker 11: will be evicted. People will lose their houses. They have
- 19:06Speaker 11: mortgages and bills they need to pay. They have children.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Well, that's why it's June of 2028, but she's got
- 19:12Speaker 4: a point.
- 19:12Speaker 11: I mean, we haven't fought this hard for our horses
- 19:15Speaker 11: and our people for nothing. You know, you can't just
- 19:17Speaker 11: destroy people's lives using government.
- 19:19Speaker 10: It's just not supposed to be done.
- 19:21Speaker 11: We will not let the billionaires over at Nightglass win.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think billionaires have any interest. I don't
- 19:27Speaker 4: think the billionaires are following this horse issue at all.
- 19:29Speaker 12: We wanted to make sure that this bill was a win-win,
- 19:32Speaker 12: that we protect horses, but we also protect these workers,
- 19:36Speaker 12: and in general, just protect the public at large.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Last day for a horse-drawn carriage in your bill?
- 19:41Speaker 12: Will be June 1st, 2028. And so we allowed a
- 19:45Speaker 12: year and a half for the industry to transition out,
- 19:48Speaker 12: make sure that the workers are protected, make sure that
- 19:51Speaker 12: each horse can have its time to be able to
- 19:54Speaker 12: transition from an urban setting to a rural one.
- 19:57Speaker 4: The horse needs time to transition? I don't know, horses
- 20:00Speaker 4: are pretty smart. They'll figure it out pretty fast. Now,
- 20:03Speaker 4: I don't know, is it cruel to the horse to
- 20:06Speaker 4: have them pull a carriage? I mean, horses have been
- 20:12Speaker 4: doing that stuff forever, pulling a plow, pulling a carriage.
- 20:16Speaker 4: If that's cruel, what about horse racing? What about horse racing?
- 20:19Speaker 4: A guy is sitting on the horse, whipping it, demanding
- 20:22Speaker 4: that he run as fast as he can. That's more
- 20:26Speaker 4: cruel than this, but you can bet on that. You
- 20:29Speaker 4: can't bet on this. Anyway, hey, the Pope, well, it
- 20:33Speaker 4: turned out to be worse than they thought. It looked
- 20:35Speaker 4: like surgery to remove a little lump, and it turned
- 20:37Speaker 4: out to be More than they thought.
- 20:40Speaker 13: During the surgery, they were likely looking at the tissue
- 20:42Speaker 13: samples that were being removed from the Pope. The pathologist,
- 20:45Speaker 13: the doctor who examines and diagnoses based off looking at
- 20:48Speaker 13: tissue under a microscope, made the finding that this was
- 20:51Speaker 13: likely an adenocarcinoma, a form of lung cancer. And then
- 20:55Speaker 13: that likely led to the surgeon doing a more radical resection.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Or removal of the tissue.
- 21:00Speaker 13: Not just the lobe, but the lobe, not just the nodule,
- 21:04Speaker 13: but the lobe.
- 21:04Speaker 9: Of the lung.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Pretty serious for the Pope. Now, they've caught it very early.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Chances for full recovery are excellent, but he's going to
- 21:11Speaker 4: be laid up for a while.
- 21:12Speaker 13: The reassuring news is that if this lobe was removed
- 21:15Speaker 13: and it was found that there was no other signs
- 21:17Speaker 13: of spread, this may be a curative procedure. But of course,
- 21:20Speaker 13: we need to wait for the further formal pathology reports.
- 21:23Speaker 13: That includes genetic testing, as well as making sure that
- 21:26Speaker 13: what was removed was the complete mass and that there
- 21:29Speaker 13: was nothing left.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Yeah, now he's supposed to be making a big trip
- 21:33Speaker 4: pretty soon. You can assume that's canceled because even though
- 21:36Speaker 4: he'll most likely be fine, They got tubes in there
- 21:40Speaker 4: and everything. When they pull that out, that hole where
- 21:42Speaker 4: the tube was, you got to give that time to recover.
- 21:45Speaker 4: So it's going to be a while before he's going
- 21:48Speaker 4: to be traveling. Hey, the Selma Blair lawyer, Selma Blair,
- 21:55Speaker 4: of course, went nuts on the plane, screaming like a nut,
- 21:58Speaker 4: maniacal screaming, punching, biting, disgusting. So it was when they
- 22:04Speaker 4: landed at JFK. So that means she's in a courtroom
- 22:08Speaker 4: in New York, in Queens, and she's got lawyers. And
- 22:12Speaker 4: the lawyers, these guys got a lot of nerve. They
- 22:16Speaker 4: pled not guilty. And there's like 400 witnesses on the plane.
- 22:20Speaker 4: There's like 200 witnesses on the ground. There's witnesses everywhere.
- 22:24Speaker 4: There's recordings, video, but she's pleading not guilty. I don't
- 22:27Speaker 4: know how she's going to get away with that. And
- 22:29Speaker 4: the judge, a tough Queens judge, wasn't going for any
- 22:33Speaker 4: of their nonsense. It's a serious thing. You know, if
- 22:36Speaker 4: you punch a stewardess hard enough to send her to
- 22:38Speaker 4: the hospital and then you bite another stewardess so she's
- 22:41Speaker 4: bleeding and then you hit somebody in the ambulance and
- 22:44Speaker 4: bite somebody else and you're yelling and screaming, forcing an
- 22:47Speaker 4: emergency landing of a plane, there's local charges, federal charges.
- 22:52Speaker 4: So the lawyers argued in court. Now listen to this.
- 22:56Speaker 4: They argued for leniency. Listen to their reasoning. Consider her
- 23:00Speaker 4: body of work and what she's done for people. This
- 23:08Speaker 4: is someone you should look up to. She is the
- 23:11Speaker 4: gold standard. Now this lawyer deserves an award for pathological chutzpah.
- 23:19Speaker 4: What the? Look at what she's done for people. Someone
- 23:23Speaker 4: we should look up to. What is she, a firefighter?
- 23:25Speaker 4: What is she, a policeman? Is she a first responder?
- 23:29Speaker 4: I gotta be honest. I don't know who the hell
- 23:31Speaker 4: she was when the story first broke. Judge Indira Khan
- 23:37Speaker 4: immediately shot back that she wasn't buying any of this,
- 23:40Speaker 4: said she will not get special treatment because she's a celebrity.
- 23:44Speaker 4: She already denied a request by the lawyers to uncuff
- 23:48Speaker 4: her at the hearings. The judge set up a $ 20, 000
- 23:51Speaker 4: cash or $ 60, 000 bond, which she posted and was freed. So,
- 24:00Speaker 4: Pretty stupid on the part of the lawyers. Also, why
- 24:03Speaker 4: annoy the judge before you're even getting started? Anyway, we've
- 24:06Speaker 4: got lots more to get to. It's Mark Simone here.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Three hours now. Three hours every day. Nine to noon.
- 24:11Speaker 4: We'll take some calls coming up. But first, on 77. Nope.
- 24:20Speaker 4: I'm looking at a screen that says 77. Sorry.
- 24:23Speaker 7: Sorry.
- 24:24Speaker 4: That's a forecast. On 710WOR. com.
- 24:29Speaker 14: The Mark Simone Show, live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Well, hey, the police commissioner, everybody likes Jessica Tisch. They
- 24:42Speaker 4: think she's doing a good job, but there's pressure on
- 24:46Speaker 4: Mondani to get rid of her. Pressure from who? From
- 24:49Speaker 4: the democratic socialists. In other words, the anti-Semites. They don't
- 24:53Speaker 4: want a Jewish police commissioner. The anti-Semites just going nuts.
- 24:58Speaker 4: demanding she be fired. Mom Donnie, what's he going to do?
- 25:01Speaker 10: Over the last 10 months that we've worked together, we
- 25:04Speaker 10: have delivered the lowest.
- 25:05Speaker 15: Recorded number of murders in our city's history, the lowest
- 25:07Speaker 15: recorded number of shootings.
- 25:09Speaker 4: As well as shooting victims. All right. I think, is
- 25:13Speaker 4: that a full defense? I think, well, when you hear
- 25:19Speaker 4: the low crime rate, it's the murder rate is way down.
- 25:23Speaker 4: There is a rise in subway crime, some robbery in
- 25:27Speaker 4: some precincts. Now, again, one of the reasons crime is
- 25:30Speaker 4: down is ICE took about 2,000 dangerous criminals off the
- 25:35Speaker 4: streets of New York. Almost 2,000. They've taken 600,000 off
- 25:41Speaker 4: the streets of the United States. That's one reason you're
- 25:45Speaker 4: seeing a crime drop everywhere. Massive difference when you take
- 25:49Speaker 4: all these criminals off the street. Let's take some calls.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how are you doing?
- 25:57Speaker 16: Good morning, Mark.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Yes, Mark.
- 26:00Speaker 16: I watched the White House briefing yesterday. I mean, maybe
- 26:04Speaker 16: she wasn't as cool and composed as a world-renowned actress
- 26:07Speaker 16: like Selma Blair, but she was fine.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Yeah, she was a little shaky, a little shaky, a
- 26:13Speaker 4: little nervous, but that's happened before press secretaries on their
- 26:16Speaker 4: first day.
- 26:18Speaker 17: Of course.
- 26:18Speaker 16: And, you know, to a larger point to all of
- 26:21Speaker 16: this stuff, and you went over it in your opening,
- 26:23Speaker 16: is anything to Sully.
- 26:28Speaker 16: Anything to sully the president, essentially, is their thing. They
- 26:32Speaker 16: humiliate right out of the Alinsky playbook to humiliate the opponents.
- 26:37Speaker 16: So if they can humiliate her by extension, it humiliates
- 26:40Speaker 16: Trump and so forth. Same thing with Hochul and her
- 26:44Speaker 16: attacks on Blakeman. You're a friend of Trump, and therefore
- 26:49Speaker 16: you're a bad guy. They don't care about the facts
- 26:51Speaker 16: or anything or the reality. And to quote Harry Reid,
- 26:54Speaker 16: they do it because it works. And they understand that.
- 26:57Speaker 16: Even a nimwit like Kathy Hochul can pull it off,
- 27:02Speaker 16: which is astonishing. And it works every single time. This
- 27:06Speaker 16: whole attack against Shane Gillis now, that's all from the left.
- 27:09Speaker 16: It's all ginned up. I thought comedy was sacred. It's
- 27:13Speaker 16: fine when Jimmy Kimmel makes fun of Trump for five years.
- 27:16Speaker 16: It's just comedy. Get a sense of humor. He does it,
- 27:19Speaker 16: and they want to burn him down. So it's all
- 27:23Speaker 16: part of a larger attack on us, you know, the
- 27:26Speaker 16: people who think, you know, normally.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Yeah, no, good point. Excellent call, Mike. That's what they do.
- 27:31Speaker 4: If you watch MSNBC or CNN and read the New
- 27:35Speaker 4: York Times, the whole audience is like sheep. They tell
- 27:39Speaker 4: you what to bleat that day. So yesterday it was
- 27:43Speaker 4: Katie Zakaria, a train wreck, a disaster, a total disaster.
- 27:47Speaker 4: We've seen much worse from press secretaries. Karine Jean-Pierre on
- 27:50Speaker 4: her worst day. On her best day, it wasn't as
- 27:53Speaker 4: good as Katie Zakaria. You know, one thing they went
- 27:55Speaker 4: after her for, she was asked one question where she said,
- 27:58Speaker 4: I don't have that answer for you. I'll have to
- 28:00Speaker 4: get back to you. Oh, they blasted her all day.
- 28:03Speaker 4: What the hell kind of press secretary is she? She
- 28:06Speaker 4: has to get back to you? Remember, there was a
- 28:09Speaker 4: press secretary who did that with every question. Her name
- 28:11Speaker 4: was Jen Psaki. Every question, I'll have to circle back
- 28:15Speaker 4: to you on that. I'll have to circle back. And
- 28:17Speaker 4: she became known as Circle Back Psaki because she She
- 28:20Speaker 4: did it on every question. But again, it's the famous
- 28:24Speaker 4: double standard the left is famous for. Let's go to
- 28:28Speaker 4: Tom in Queens. Tom, how are you doing?
- 28:31Speaker 18: Hey, Mark.
- 28:32Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 28:33Speaker 19: So you brought up a good point with Mondami and
- 28:37Speaker 19: the fact that Hochul, I think Bruce was great and
- 28:42Speaker 19: he missed a good opportunity to go after Mondami by
- 28:46Speaker 19: mentioning the fact that he had a $ 126 billion budget
- 28:50Speaker 19: and that Kathy Hochul had to spend $ 8 billion of
- 28:53Speaker 19: taxpayer money to bail him out.
- 28:55Speaker 4: Well, he did mention all that stuff over and over
- 28:58Speaker 4: and over, especially the $ 8 billion she gave to illegals.
- 29:01Speaker 4: You've got to remember, Blakeman was great last night. Whenever
- 29:04Speaker 4: you're on anything, debate, anything, and you do a great job,
- 29:10Speaker 4: every time you turn around, there'll be a guy saying, well,
- 29:13Speaker 4: you know, you should have done this. You should have
- 29:15Speaker 4: said this. You should have said this. It's only a
- 29:17Speaker 4: one-hour debate. You can't say anything and everything. If it
- 29:20Speaker 4: was a three-hour debate, you could go after him for that.
- 29:22Speaker 4: But he hit her with a lot of good shots.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Let's go to Leah in Brooklyn. Leah, how are you doing?
- 29:30Speaker 20: Hi, how are you?
- 29:31Speaker 4: Good.
- 29:33Speaker 10: Good.
- 29:33Speaker 20: I love your show, first of all. I love that
- 29:35Speaker 20: you have the extra hour. Let me tell you what
- 29:38Speaker 20: I'm calling about.
- 29:39Speaker 9: Uh-oh.
- 29:41Speaker 20: Yeah, you're in trouble now, but you're not. I live
- 29:44Speaker 20: near the Kings Highway train station in Brooklyn. So there's
- 29:47Speaker 20: two entrances on either side of the street. The first entrance,
- 29:52Speaker 20: they put in this elaborate new system that costs tons
- 29:57Speaker 20: of money.
- 29:57Speaker 4: The new gates?
- 29:58Speaker 20: That sounds great. Yeah, the new gate. They put in
- 30:01Speaker 20: the new gate on one side of the street where
- 30:03Speaker 20: you go in, and that saves tons of money, and
- 30:07Speaker 20: they say there was 35% less evasion. I don't know
- 30:12Speaker 20: why there wouldn't be 100% less, but okay, 35%. But
- 30:15Speaker 20: instead of going in, let's say I'm a fear evader,
- 30:19Speaker 20: instead of going in that way, all you have to
- 30:21Speaker 20: do is cross the street. You have that door exit
- 30:24Speaker 20: that people getting off the train.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Yeah, well, that's how government works.
- 30:29Speaker 20: No, no, no, wait.
- 30:30Speaker 10: Hey, hey, hey, you wait.
- 30:33Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 30:33Speaker 4: What are you, Selma Blair? You wait.
- 30:36Speaker 18: Listen.
- 30:37Speaker 10: Listen.
- 30:37Speaker 20: There's a guard. There's a guard standing there and he
- 30:41Speaker 20: does nothing.
- 30:42Speaker 4: I know, that's the way it is. She could have
- 30:43Speaker 4: yelled at me again. Am I interrupting you? I don't
- 30:46Speaker 4: mean to interrupt. I love interrupting you because.
- 30:48Speaker 9: You start yelling.
- 30:49Speaker 20: I just want to hone in this point. A double
- 30:51Speaker 20: waste of money.
- 30:52Speaker 4: No, I know, but that's the way government works. If
- 30:55Speaker 4: they're going to come up with this high security gate,
- 30:57Speaker 4: nobody can get through it. And there's three entrances. They
- 31:00Speaker 4: only put it on one entrance. They forget to put
- 31:02Speaker 4: it on all three. That's how government does it.
- 31:04Speaker 20: And they're wasting money with the guards. They're wasting money
- 31:06Speaker 20: with this and that.
- 31:07Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 31:08Speaker 4: All right, Leah. Thanks for calling. Let's go to Virginia
- 31:13Speaker 4: in Massapequa. Virginia, how are you doing?
- 31:17Speaker 10: Hi, Mark.
- 31:17Speaker 19: How's it going?
- 31:18Speaker 4: Good.
- 31:18Speaker 22: So anyway, I wanted to talk about the debate last
- 31:22Speaker 22: night very quickly. I don't know if you remember, if
- 31:25Speaker 22: anyone remembers, but when Kathy Hochul debated Lee Zeldin, they, again,
- 31:30Speaker 22: only showed it on Spectrum News. So if you listen
- 31:33Speaker 22: to her debate, you could pull it up online. She
- 31:36Speaker 22: was a complete bimbo. Lee chewed her up and spit
- 31:40Speaker 22: her out, basically.
- 31:41Speaker 10: You can say that, but she did win.
- 31:45Speaker 4: You can say that, but she won the election. She
- 31:47Speaker 4: won big.
- 31:48Speaker 23: She did win the election because nobody sees it. No
- 31:50Speaker 23: one saw it. I saw it after the fact.
- 31:52Speaker 4: You can't say she got chewed up and spit out.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Lise Eldon was great. She still won.
- 31:59Speaker 9: She still won.
- 32:00Speaker 23: She looked so stupid.
- 32:01Speaker 9: All she talked about, she.
- 32:03Speaker 23: Talked about the same thing. Guns, guns, guns, no matter
- 32:05Speaker 23: what he said. She looked so dumb. Dumb as dumb
- 32:08Speaker 23: can be. In any case, last night I watched it live.
- 32:12Speaker 23: I never realized that Spectrum News was left-leaning.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Oh, it's very left-leaning.
- 32:17Speaker 23: They kept interrupting him, and I'm like, what are they doing?
- 32:20Speaker 9: I started to get really angry.
- 32:22Speaker 18: I'm like, what is going on?
- 32:23Speaker 21: Oh, no.
- 32:24Speaker 4: I kept warning you for days. They're very, very, very
- 32:27Speaker 4: biased at New York One, Spectrum. Very biased. And I
- 32:31Speaker 4: warned you this was going to happen. And every time
- 32:35Speaker 4: she hit Blakeman with something terrible... Can I respond to that? No,
- 32:39Speaker 4: we have to move on. We have to move on.
- 32:40Speaker 4: We have to move on. What, is somebody chasing you?
- 32:42Speaker 4: What do you mean you have to move on? That's
- 32:45Speaker 4: the old trick. They do that. Two things they'll do.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Remember they used to do that to Curtis all the
- 32:51Speaker 4: time in those debates because Curtis was pretty good when
- 32:54Speaker 4: he was really about to let the guy have it.
- 32:56Speaker 4: I'm sorry. We have to move on. We have to
- 32:57Speaker 4: move on. We have to talk about climate change. We
- 32:59Speaker 4: have to talk about something else. So New York won.
- 33:04Speaker 4: very biased that moderators, Errol Lewis. He's a really nice guy.
- 33:07Speaker 4: I used to work with him, but very left wing, very. Uh,
- 33:11Speaker 4: and then they found that woman who was worse than him. And, uh, the,
- 33:17Speaker 4: I mean, the real reason Hocal, Hocal has refused every debate.
- 33:21Speaker 4: She turned down channel two, channel four, channel seven, channel five.
- 33:25Speaker 4: She's refused every debate. You only accepted New York one.
- 33:29Speaker 4: Cause New York one hasn't no viewers. Nobody sees it. It, uh,
- 33:34Speaker 4: You know, it's only on one cable system out of
- 33:36Speaker 4: the five in the New York City area. And they
- 33:40Speaker 4: did stream it live on the New York One website.
- 33:42Speaker 4: Who the hell goes to the New York One website?
- 33:45Speaker 4: They did put it on YouTube. I'll give them credit
- 33:47Speaker 4: for that. But who would know that because they're not
- 33:49Speaker 4: watching New York One to know that. Anyway, we've got
- 33:52Speaker 4: a lot to get to today. Don't forget at noon,
- 33:54Speaker 4: it's Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. Then the most listened
- 33:58Speaker 4: to radio show in America, Sean Hannity at three. Jesse
- 34:02Speaker 4: Kelly at 6, the very funny Jimmy Fela. He's here
- 34:05Speaker 4: every night, 9 to midnight. It's all on 710WOR. Now,
- 34:11Speaker 4: much more Mark.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Mark Simone.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Now, 9 till noon weekdays.
- 34:16Speaker 7: On 710WOR.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Well, it's going.
- 34:19Speaker 4: To be a nice day today.
- 34:21Speaker 18: Warm.
- 34:23Speaker 4: I'll be about 78. There's a little chance of rain
- 34:25Speaker 4: around noon. But then that's it. And then nice tomorrow, 65, sunny.
- 34:31Speaker 4: And then a lot of rain is possible on Friday.
- 34:33Speaker 4: But then after that, the weekend is sunny but cool.
- 34:37Speaker 4: The high will only be in the 50s. It will
- 34:40Speaker 4: be real, real fall weather over the weekend. A lot
- 34:44Speaker 4: to get to in the next hour. Lots of stuff
- 34:47Speaker 4: to cover. And we'll do that. We'll go over the
- 34:51Speaker 4: governor's debate again last night. Most people unable to see
- 34:55Speaker 4: it because it was on that silly little New York one. So,
- 34:57Speaker 4: a lot to talk about in the next two hours
- 34:59Speaker 4: here on 710WOR.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Now, nine till noon weekdays.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Mark Simone.
- 35:06Speaker 3: More Mark.
- 35:07Speaker 1: On 710WOR.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Hey, it's hour number two. That's right. We start at
- 35:13Speaker 4: nine o'clock now. Nine to noon every day. Three hours
- 35:17Speaker 4: every day.
- 35:18Speaker 1: So, uh.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Katie Zachariah, they'll be trying to, you know, the fake
- 35:25Speaker 4: news will spend two, three days on this trying to
- 35:28Speaker 4: destroy her. Besides doing the daily briefing, it's a big job.
- 35:33Speaker 4: You got to work like 10, 12 hours a day
- 35:36Speaker 4: in the office. You got to meet with all the
- 35:39Speaker 4: principals all day long, get up to speed on every
- 35:41Speaker 4: little detail. Then your phone will ring all night long
- 35:46Speaker 4: when you're the press secretary. Anything happens anywhere. The bombing
- 35:50Speaker 4: in Iran bombs a base. You're going to get woken up.
- 35:54Speaker 4: They're going to give you the briefing for a half hour.
- 35:56Speaker 4: And then the other problem is the jackals in the
- 36:00Speaker 4: fake news are going to go over every inch of
- 36:02Speaker 4: your life and trying to find something wrong with your
- 36:05Speaker 4: personal life. Now, they do have something that they are
- 36:08Speaker 4: going after. She has always said she's a lawyer. Katie
- 36:11Speaker 4: Zachariah has always said she's a lawyer. She did a
- 36:15Speaker 4: lot of TV and a lot of commentary. And in
- 36:19Speaker 4: many of those, said she was some sort of legal expert,
- 36:22Speaker 4: a lawyer. Now, she did graduate law school. She does
- 36:26Speaker 4: have a law degree. But all these jackals are digging
- 36:31Speaker 4: through everything. They can't find any place where she's admitted
- 36:34Speaker 4: to the bar. She went to Pepperdine University, graduated with
- 36:42Speaker 4: a law degree in 2011. But they cannot find– she's
- 36:49Speaker 4: not listed as a member of the bar in any
- 36:51Speaker 4: state that they can find in the legal– you'd have
- 36:57Speaker 4: to pass the bar to be able to legally practice law.
- 37:00Speaker 4: She did apparently work as a lawyer for a nonprofit
- 37:04Speaker 4: doing legal work. I guess you could do that without
- 37:07Speaker 4: passing the bar. I'm looking through this. Now, she did
- 37:12Speaker 4: live in China for a couple of years. She's married,
- 37:14Speaker 4: and her husband had to move to China for work.
- 37:17Speaker 4: So for a couple of years, she went there. She
- 37:19Speaker 4: claimed she did some legal stuff in China. However, according
- 37:27Speaker 4: to Chinese law, you cannot practice any kind of law
- 37:30Speaker 4: unless you're a Chinese citizen. Well, that would make sense.
- 37:34Speaker 4: So she's going to have to straighten that out. Where
- 37:38Speaker 4: did she actually practice law? Did she pass the bar anywhere?
- 37:42Speaker 4: They asked her yesterday on camera, and she was A
- 37:44Speaker 4: little evasive about that. But that's a minor little footnote. Again,
- 37:50Speaker 4: she was fine doing the briefing. You're going to hear
- 37:53Speaker 4: that it was disaster. It was a train wreck. It
- 37:56Speaker 4: was no. Listen to her.
- 37:57Speaker 5: So I intend to, to the extent possible, include my family,
- 38:02Speaker 5: include my kids in my work, though my work will
- 38:04Speaker 5: be demanding.
- 38:05Speaker 11: They will always be a priority.
- 38:07Speaker 5: And I President Trump is the most family friendly president
- 38:11Speaker 5: we've ever had. He has hired more women with families.
- 38:14Speaker 5: And the fact that he knew I had four kids was.
- 38:16Speaker 5: And he knew that this job would be demanding and
- 38:18Speaker 5: still placed his trust in me, shows that I know
- 38:21Speaker 5: I'm capable of being able to step up to that.
- 38:24Speaker 18: Okay.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Now, you listen to that. Would you describe that as
- 38:27Speaker 4: a train wreck?
- 38:29Speaker 16: No.
- 38:30Speaker 4: She sounded fine to me. I mean, listen, she was
- 38:33Speaker 4: a little nervous, a little shaky when she had to
- 38:35Speaker 4: read that eight-minute statement. But she sounded fine. She took
- 38:39Speaker 4: three questions, and I'm sure that's what they were. Two
- 38:42Speaker 4: things happened. They told her, you know, just take a
- 38:44Speaker 4: few questions. Don't make it a long briefing. Keep it short.
- 38:47Speaker 4: The briefing was 14 minutes. If you're watching the MSNBC nuts,
- 38:52Speaker 4: they were all going, 14 minutes?
- 38:54Speaker 18: What?
- 38:54Speaker 4: Only 14 minutes?
- 38:55Speaker 18: What?
- 38:55Speaker 4: Nobody's ever had a briefing that short. Yeah, there have
- 38:57Speaker 4: been plenty of briefings that short. Shortest one ever was
- 39:00Speaker 4: 10 minutes, Karine Jean-Pierre. But it's not that unusual. So
- 39:06Speaker 4: they're huffing and puffing and yelling and screaming, trying to
- 39:09Speaker 4: rile up their viewers all day about it. She'll be fine.
- 39:13Speaker 4: They'll get her a little media coach. The problem is
- 39:15Speaker 4: they'll have to teach her how to read the script
- 39:17Speaker 4: and look up and all that. So you can learn that.
- 39:20Speaker 4: And the next briefing, she'll be better and better. And
- 39:23Speaker 4: within two weeks, she'll be fine. Remember Sean Spicer's first
- 39:26Speaker 4: briefing was pretty bad. Then he got the hang of it. Hey,
- 39:30Speaker 4: Elon Omar looks like she's going to have problems. They
- 39:32Speaker 4: raided her house. They're focusing on all kinds of things.
- 39:36Speaker 4: Her lying on her immigration documents. It looks like she
- 39:39Speaker 4: may have lied about her age. Somehow she got her
- 39:44Speaker 4: age changed on a birth certificate. They're looking at that
- 39:48Speaker 4: kind of stuff. By the way, you'll notice all day
- 39:51Speaker 4: on MSNOW, CNN, all day long, nonstop coverage of, where
- 39:57Speaker 4: did Katie Zakara pass the bar? They're going over, they
- 39:59Speaker 4: won't stop covering. You'll notice there was no mention of
- 40:02Speaker 4: the Ilhan Omar age problem. Seems like she changed her
- 40:05Speaker 4: age on a document. It seems like she may have
- 40:09Speaker 4: lied on her. There's no investigation into this by, no
- 40:12Speaker 4: mention of it by MSNOW or CNN. All they mention
- 40:16Speaker 4: is that How dare they raid her house? Why, this
- 40:19Speaker 4: is fascist. The same people that were cheering when Mar-a-Lago
- 40:23Speaker 4: got raided. So it looks like she could have a
- 40:25Speaker 4: real problem. Now, you know who's going to have a
- 40:27Speaker 4: big problem with the Trump administration? A lot of the banks.
- 40:31Speaker 4: These major banks did one of the, this is about
- 40:34Speaker 4: the dirtiest episode in the history of banking. Joe Biden
- 40:40Speaker 4: asked the major banks, the Biden administration pressured them to
- 40:45Speaker 4: debank Donald Trump and lots of conservatives. D-bank means they
- 40:50Speaker 4: throw you out of the bank. You're not allowed to
- 40:52Speaker 4: have an account. And then all the banks blacklist you.
- 40:56Speaker 4: You cannot have a bank account. Now, that's pretty serious stuff.
- 41:00Speaker 4: For an individual not to have a bank account, that
- 41:02Speaker 4: could really screw up your life. For a major business,
- 41:05Speaker 4: let's say you're the Trump Organization, you're a multi-billion dollar
- 41:09Speaker 4: business and you can't have a bank account. Where are
- 41:12Speaker 4: you supposed to keep $ 7 billion? How do you write
- 41:15Speaker 4: a check? How do you do any business without a
- 41:17Speaker 4: bank account? I mean, they had to scramble and move
- 41:22Speaker 4: to European banks and that kind of stuff. But it's
- 41:24Speaker 4: a nightmare. And it's a horrible, horrible, horrible thing to do.
- 41:29Speaker 4: Just blacklist people from the banking system. But they did
- 41:32Speaker 4: it because they were terrified of the Biden administration and
- 41:36Speaker 4: what the Bidens might do to them. So they all
- 41:39Speaker 4: did it. JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, all these major banks.
- 41:44Speaker 4: So the Justice Department is now investigating this. And it
- 41:49Speaker 4: turns out they may have also closed 100,000 accounts of
- 41:56Speaker 4: anybody who was a big Trump person, conservative groups, pro-life groups.
- 42:02Speaker 4: They may have debunked all of them. They're looking at
- 42:05Speaker 4: 100,000 complaints here, 50,000 complaints there. This is going to
- 42:11Speaker 4: be serious stuff. It's JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank,
- 42:15Speaker 4: Wells Fargo, Capital One, PNC, U.S. Bank, TD Bank, BMO Bank,
- 42:22Speaker 4: found to have discriminated against American consumers. And this is
- 42:27Speaker 4: going to get real serious. They're going to have to
- 42:30Speaker 4: settle this case with the government. It will mean massive fines, huge,
- 42:37Speaker 4: multi-billion dollar fines. will have to be paid by the banks.
- 42:41Speaker 4: This is a real serious thing. You know, the bank
- 42:45Speaker 4: could be debanked. They could have their banking privileges taken away.
- 42:49Speaker 4: Serious stuff. And they really are going after these banks. Now,
- 42:52Speaker 4: there's another problem. Bank of America just got fined $ 1. 2
- 42:57Speaker 4: billion by the Treasury Department. Bank of America allegedly violating
- 43:02Speaker 4: anti-money laundering and sanctions laws So they're going to have
- 43:07Speaker 4: to pay a $ 1. 2 billion penalty. Now, what happens there
- 43:12Speaker 4: is the bank is not doing the money laundering. Well,
- 43:15Speaker 4: it's not that they're starting it. It's the customer is
- 43:18Speaker 4: laundering money. It's the customer is violating sanctions. And the
- 43:24Speaker 4: bank is not saying anything because it's a multi, multi,
- 43:27Speaker 4: multi-million dollar account. And the bank doesn't want to lose
- 43:31Speaker 4: the business, so they look the other way. They did
- 43:34Speaker 4: that with Jeffrey Epstein. You remember JPMorgan Chase, very embarrassing.
- 43:39Speaker 4: Epstein had something like $ 500 million, $ 600 million in the bank,
- 43:43Speaker 4: and they didn't want to lose the account. So they
- 43:46Speaker 4: let him do whatever the hell he was doing, but
- 43:48Speaker 4: they wouldn't remove Epstein's account. So this is serious stuff.
- 43:52Speaker 4: There were guys money laundering. There were guys violating the
- 43:56Speaker 4: international sanctions with Russia and Iran and the bank looking
- 44:00Speaker 4: the other way because they didn't want to lose an
- 44:02Speaker 4: account that big. So, in fact, Treasury said Bank of
- 44:06Speaker 4: America admits it willfully violated the Bank Secrecy Act. So
- 44:12Speaker 4: they're going to pay this fine, $ 1. 2 billion. Pretty serious. Hey,
- 44:18Speaker 4: Cornell University is going to shut down a fraternity or two.
- 44:25Speaker 4: And also, Cornell has now banned all fraternity parties. No
- 44:30Speaker 4: more frat parties allowed on campus. As they make sweeping changes,
- 44:36Speaker 4: any fraternity caught holding a party will be closed down.
- 44:41Speaker 4: Bill Maher has been calling for them to end all fraternities,
- 44:44Speaker 4: get rid of them. A bunch of men all living
- 44:47Speaker 4: like that, it's going to be trouble. Remember, Bill Maher
- 44:50Speaker 4: is a Cornell graduate. And that was a big thing
- 44:53Speaker 4: in the debate last night, the Cornell stuff, where Bruce
- 44:56Speaker 4: Blakeman really hit Kathy Hochul hard in the debate. And
- 45:00Speaker 4: when it came to Cornell, I don't think anybody realized this,
- 45:04Speaker 4: half of Cornell is a state college. The state of
- 45:07Speaker 4: New York partners with Cornell. So when the whole thing happened,
- 45:10Speaker 4: this horrible incident, you know, this incident is two years ago.
- 45:15Speaker 4: Two years ago. Where was Hochul on this two years ago?
- 45:18Speaker 4: And you remember it went to a local district attorney
- 45:21Speaker 4: who dropped the case. The district attorney's work for the state.
- 45:25Speaker 4: It's a state job. It's all up to Hochul. And
- 45:28Speaker 4: she did nothing. And Blakeman kept pointing out, you're a
- 45:32Speaker 4: trustee of Cornell, you're on the board of Cornell, and
- 45:35Speaker 4: you did nothing about this back then. Didn't look good
- 45:38Speaker 4: for Hochul. Hochul spent the whole night screaming about... about Trump.
- 45:43Speaker 8: Just four days ago, you stood on a stage screaming
- 45:45Speaker 8: at the top of your lungs, we love Donald Trump.
- 45:49Speaker 8: Is it his unfettered use of ICE terrorizing our neighborhoods?
- 45:54Speaker 4: Yeah, so it's a rally. You yell stuff like that.
- 45:56Speaker 1: Donald Trump's my friend. He's endorsed me.
- 45:59Speaker 6: But so is Bonnie Lautenberg, actor Deborah Messing, who's a
- 46:03Speaker 6: liberal Democrat.
- 46:04Speaker 2: All right, so you got two votes. Good for you.
- 46:06Speaker 4: No, that was their best line of the whole night.
- 46:08Speaker 6: When you talk about Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Donald Trump,
- 46:11Speaker 6: that's all you can talk about because you have a
- 46:14Speaker 6: record of failure and misery for the people who live
- 46:17Speaker 6: in this state.
- 46:18Speaker 8: I did not wrap myself in the shroud of Donald
- 46:20Speaker 8: Trump the.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Way you did.
- 46:22Speaker 1: No, you wrap it in Zoran Mondani, who.
- 46:24Speaker 8: Donald Trump actually thinks is a great mayor.
- 46:27Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 46:28Speaker 4: Now, you notice the moderator is always going to jump in.
- 46:30Speaker 4: If it looks bad for Hochul, the moderator jumps right in.
- 46:33Speaker 4: We have to move on. We have to move on.
- 46:35Speaker 4: Governor Hochul.
- 46:37Speaker 6: Under your sanctuary policies, a 14-year-old girl was raped recently
- 46:42Speaker 6: here in New York State by an illegal migrant. Four
- 46:46Speaker 6: Irondequoit residents were killed recently by an illegal migrant.
- 46:52Speaker 4: Two of those.
- 46:52Speaker 6: Victims were children under the age of five. Two Nassau
- 46:57Speaker 6: County women in their 30s were killed by an illegal
- 47:01Speaker 6: migrant because of your sanctuary policies. Will you apologize to
- 47:07Speaker 6: that 14-year-old girl whose life is forever changed and her
- 47:11Speaker 6: family and the families of those who were killed?
- 47:14Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of great moments from Bruce Blakeman. Everybody
- 47:17Speaker 4: thought he won. Even when they do in some news
- 47:21Speaker 4: organization has put together a panel of political analysts, even
- 47:24Speaker 4: they couldn't say Holkel won. There was one out of
- 47:28Speaker 4: 100 that actually said that. The Democratic strategist, all they
- 47:31Speaker 4: could say was, well, it was a tie. That means
- 47:35Speaker 4: Blakeman won.
- 47:35Speaker 8: You know, any crime is heartbreaking. There's a family left
- 47:42Speaker 8: with a huge hole in their heart. And I abhor
- 47:47Speaker 8: all crimes, regardless of the perpetrator.
- 47:49Speaker 4: Yeah, that's about all she could do, make some kind
- 47:52Speaker 4: of little dramatic speech, but Blakeman was powerful throughout the debate.
- 48:03Speaker 6: I back law enforcement, and I back the laws of
- 48:06Speaker 6: both our federal government and our state government. And I
- 48:09Speaker 6: give our law enforcement professionals the tools they need to
- 48:12Speaker 6: keep us safe. But you say you spent $ 4 billion
- 48:15Speaker 6: on law enforcement. Well, you spent $ 8 billion on illegal
- 48:19Speaker 6: migrants and gave them more benefits than New Yorkers get.
- 48:23Speaker 6: How does that make any sense?
- 48:25Speaker 4: Yeah, so those were the powerful moments. Now, unfortunately, it's
- 48:27Speaker 4: New York 1. Nobody in the world sees New York 1.
- 48:29Speaker 4: They got a tiny, tiny, tiny audience. But hopefully the
- 48:33Speaker 4: social media, the clips on the news, hopefully that gets around.
- 48:37Speaker 2: I can't believe you just took credit.
- 48:39Speaker 4: Now, U.S. News and World Report does say Bruce Blakeman
- 48:43Speaker 4: has the safest county in America. Listen to her comeback.
- 48:45Speaker 8: I can't believe you just took credit for what the
- 48:48Speaker 8: Democratic predecessor in your county did.
- 48:50Speaker 6: Oh, she was the county executive in 2024?
- 48:52Speaker 8: It was under Laura Curran that the crime started going down.
- 48:59Speaker 8: They called Nassau County— Wasn't that during COVID?
- 49:02Speaker 4: Yeah, now, that's a pretty ridiculous argument. Brakeman's been in
- 49:05Speaker 4: office for about eight years. How long is it? Six years.
- 49:08Speaker 4: Six years he's been the county executive, claiming it was
- 49:13Speaker 4: the previous. Just insane.
- 49:15Speaker 6: Kathy, Donald Trump didn't raise utility rates 48 times.
- 49:20Speaker 2: You did.
- 49:21Speaker 6: Donald Trump didn't increase our utility bills by 50% since
- 49:26Speaker 6: you become governor. You gave $ 150 back to people in
- 49:31Speaker 6: a rebate in an election year, right before the election,
- 49:35Speaker 6: when you've raised the average bill $ 4, 000 a year, and
- 49:40Speaker 6: your own energy research department says your policies will raise
- 49:44Speaker 6: it another $ 4, 000 in the next five years.
- 49:47Speaker 4: Yeah, so she got hit pretty hard, just like that,
- 49:50Speaker 4: all night long. Anyway, we'll take some calls next. You
- 49:53Speaker 4: want to let me know what you thought about it
- 49:55Speaker 4: or anything else? 1-800- 321-0710 is the number.
- 49:59Speaker 9: 1-800-321-0710.
- 49:59Speaker 4: It's the Mark Simone Show on 710WOR. Hey, let's take
- 50:02Speaker 4: some calls.
- 50:03Speaker 1: 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 50:04Speaker 4: Let's go to Frank in Huntington.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Frank, how you doing?
- 50:07Speaker 13: Hey, Mark.
- 50:07Speaker 1: Good morning. Hey, hold it down. People are.
- 50:13Speaker 4: Sleeping here. Mark, I love your show.
- 50:15Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 50:27Speaker 7: Mark, for the whole week, everyone has been saying you
- 50:31Speaker 7: can watch.
- 50:32Speaker 3: The debate on Channel 1.
- 50:34Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 50:35Speaker 3: I told all my friends and family to watch Channel 1.
- 50:38Speaker 24: I put it on Channel 1.
- 50:39Speaker 10: It wasn't on. I couldn't find it.
- 50:42Speaker 4: Well, you live out in Huntington. You've got that horrible
- 50:44Speaker 4: cable service Optimum, right?
- 50:47Speaker 25: Right, exactly.
- 50:48Speaker 4: It was on Channel 64.
- 50:48Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 50:51Speaker 3: So I went to Channel 64, but you have to
- 50:54Speaker 3: have a special program.
- 50:57Speaker 4: Yeah, no, that's why she wanted to do it on
- 50:59Speaker 4: New York One, because nobody has New York One. Nobody
- 51:01Speaker 4: sees New York One. It has 12 viewers.
- 51:03Speaker 3: What a shame. I really wanted to watch it.
- 51:05Speaker 4: You can watch it. It's up on YouTube. Go watch
- 51:07Speaker 4: it on YouTube.
- 51:09Speaker 3: Oh, that's great, Mark.
- 51:10Speaker 15: Thank you.
- 51:10Speaker 7: I really enjoyed the extra hour.
- 51:13Speaker 4: Thanks. Everybody can watch the debate. It's up on YouTube.
- 51:15Speaker 4: Just go to YouTube. You can see the whole thing.
- 51:17Speaker 4: It's only one hour, but you can watch it on YouTube.
- 51:20Speaker 4: Let's go to Chris in Manhattan. Chris, how you doing?
- 51:23Speaker 26: Good morning, Mark.
- 51:24Speaker 4: How you doing?
- 51:24Speaker 9: Good.
- 51:25Speaker 17: I have a favor to ask. In the next couple
- 51:28Speaker 17: of weeks, well, in the next two weeks or so,
- 51:30Speaker 17: when you have financial people on, could you ask them, like,
- 51:34Speaker 17: what's the best strategy if the Democrats do take over
- 51:37Speaker 17: as far as the stock market? Like, what stocks might
- 51:39Speaker 17: go up? What stocks to sell? How it's going to
- 51:41Speaker 17: affect us? I'm not saying that we're going to lose.
- 51:44Speaker 17: But I'm saying if you could just get some people
- 51:46Speaker 17: to tell us how to handle the fact that the
- 51:49Speaker 17: House might go.
- 51:51Speaker 4: First of all, those guys never know what stocks to buy.
- 51:55Speaker 4: When you ask them, they're always wrong. You know what?
- 51:58Speaker 4: You want to know? Ask Charles Payne. Watch Charles Payne.
- 52:01Speaker 4: He always gets it right. But the great economists, the
- 52:05Speaker 4: great financial experts, they never know what stocks to buy.
- 52:09Speaker 17: All stocks now are on a tear. But if the
- 52:12Speaker 17: Democrats come in... Won't that turn, I mean, their plan
- 52:16Speaker 17: is to get rid of the oil, so won't that
- 52:19Speaker 17: make the oil price stocks go down?
- 52:22Speaker 4: Yeah, well, that's kind.
- 52:24Speaker 27: Of a no-brainer.
- 52:25Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a no-brainer. But, you know, you buy stock
- 52:28Speaker 4: in the green energy companies. First of all, Democrats always
- 52:32Speaker 4: bring the stock market down a little bit. Don't worry
- 52:34Speaker 4: about it. Just, again, just invest safely. Let's buy an
- 52:38Speaker 4: S & P 500 fund.
- 52:41Speaker 17: All right, one more question. How can I get you
- 52:43Speaker 17: to unblock me on Twitter and Instagram?
- 52:47Speaker 4: Oh, you must have put up a bad comment.
- 52:49Speaker 17: You know, I saw you once at the cutting room
- 52:50Speaker 17: years and years ago, and I asked you, could you
- 52:54Speaker 17: please unblock me? This makes no sense. And you said,
- 52:56Speaker 17: I don't handle this. Who can I get in touch
- 52:58Speaker 17: with to do this for me?
- 53:00Speaker 4: If you got blocked, it's because you put up a
- 53:01Speaker 4: bad comment.
- 53:03Speaker 17: But find it. There was no bad comment.
- 53:05Speaker 4: No, there was.
- 53:05Speaker 17: I mean, I've been your fan for years.
- 53:07Speaker 4: There's no other way to block you except from a
- 53:10Speaker 4: bad comment.
- 53:11Speaker 17: Okay, how can I get unblocked?
- 53:13Speaker 4: Well, a bad comment could be that you said something
- 53:17Speaker 4: nasty about somebody, that we had to block that. Or
- 53:19Speaker 4: it could be it was a post about food or something,
- 53:22Speaker 4: and you put up something political, something inappropriate.
- 53:26Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 53:26Speaker 17: I don't remember if I did that. But what I'm
- 53:28Speaker 17: saying is, who handles your account that I could ask
- 53:30Speaker 17: them to unblock me?
- 53:32Speaker 4: Nobody. If you don't remember doing it, if you can't
- 53:35Speaker 4: acknowledge the problem, there's no way to solve it then.
- 53:38Speaker 17: But, like, you were at the cutting room, like, 12,
- 53:39Speaker 17: 14 years ago, right? It was a while ago. I
- 53:41Speaker 17: won a contest. And that was one of the prizes,
- 53:44Speaker 17: to go see you at the cutting room.
- 53:45Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 53:46Speaker 4: And the loser had to go see me twice.
- 53:49Speaker 16: Okay. Anyway, take care. Thank you.
- 53:51Speaker 18: Thanks.
- 53:51Speaker 10: Bye-bye.
- 53:52Speaker 4: Let's go to George in Long Island. George, how are
- 53:56Speaker 4: you doing?
- 53:57Speaker 12: Hi, Mark.
- 53:59Speaker 24: You said everything correct. The problem is not many people
- 54:02Speaker 24: watched it. I don't know if the statistics came out
- 54:05Speaker 24: on the shelf. And believe it or not, I have
- 54:07Speaker 24: an MBA. Tell all your audience, don't buy individual stocks.
- 54:12Speaker 24: Buy ETFs, like you said, S & P 500, and
- 54:16Speaker 24: they'll be safe.
- 54:16Speaker 9: You shouldn't worry. All right.
- 54:18Speaker 24: That's all I have to say. But don't take advice
- 54:20Speaker 24: from me either.
- 54:21Speaker 4: Yeah, no, no. Don't take advice from any of these people.
- 54:25Speaker 4: Even the great economists, they never know what stocks to buy.
- 54:28Speaker 4: Let's go to Mike in Portchester. Mike, how are you doing? Mike,
- 54:34Speaker 4: are you there?
- 54:36Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 54:37Speaker 4: We didn't wake you, did we?
- 54:40Speaker 15: No, no, no.
- 54:41Speaker 9: I had to step out of my car. I called
- 54:45Speaker 9: because that debate last night is typical. I mean, she's
- 54:51Speaker 9: saying and blaming President Trump. In the meantime, she created
- 54:56Speaker 9: this fiasco of a state that doesn't prosecute these people.
- 55:06Speaker 4: Yeah, no, it's Cuomo, Hochul, no bail, no jail, let
- 55:11Speaker 4: all the criminals loose. They want to close prisons, let
- 55:13Speaker 4: everybody out. ICE is coming in here to arrest criminals only.
- 55:18Speaker 4: They're not arresting legitimate citizens. They're arresting illegals who have
- 55:22Speaker 4: specifically committed crimes and are actual criminals. They're taking them
- 55:26Speaker 4: out of New York, taking them off the streets. It's
- 55:28Speaker 4: the reason the crime rate is dropping. And she wants
- 55:31Speaker 4: to stop that. So when it comes to crime, it's
- 55:35Speaker 4: a no-brainer, obviously, Blakeman. Let's go to Dave in Staten Island. Dave,
- 55:39Speaker 4: how are you doing?
- 55:41Speaker 16: Hi, Mark. Just a comment. Bruce needs to make Kathy
- 55:46Speaker 16: publicly define the words outward migration. And once she defines
- 55:52Speaker 16: those words.
- 55:53Speaker 4: He needs to have... Well, that's why they don't hire
- 55:56Speaker 4: you as a debate coach. Outward migration. It's a term
- 55:59Speaker 4: that doesn't register with anybody. He said that in the
- 56:02Speaker 4: debate a couple of times. Everybody's leaving. People are moving out.
- 56:07Speaker 4: That's how you know when you're doing well. We're actually
- 56:11Speaker 4: number one in people leaving the state.
- 56:13Speaker 7: Leaving.
- 56:15Speaker 4: Cuomo started that, too. Remember, Cuomo was so bad as governor.
- 56:19Speaker 4: There was a period of a year and a half
- 56:21Speaker 4: where you couldn't get a moving van. You couldn't get
- 56:23Speaker 4: a moving company. They were all tied up with so
- 56:25Speaker 4: many people fleeing New York. Let's go to Bill in Idaho. Bill,
- 56:29Speaker 4: how are you doing?
- 56:31Speaker 10: Hey, Mark, how are you?
- 56:33Speaker 25: I worked in the New York 210 census and the
- 56:38Speaker 25: 220 COVID census. And for that one, the second one,
- 56:41Speaker 25: no one counted anything. The offices were usually mostly closed.
- 56:46Speaker 25: And then the feds ruled that they overcounted by 625,000 people,
- 56:49Speaker 25: which should have cost New York two seats. But New
- 56:55Speaker 25: York just said, screw that, we're only eliminating one seat.
- 56:59Speaker 25: Why aren't the Republicans all over that?
- 57:03Speaker 4: Well, because it may not be true. Who knows? We're
- 57:05Speaker 4: taking your word for it. But, yeah, the census, it's
- 57:09Speaker 4: usually a mess. They count illegals. They count everything in there.
- 57:12Speaker 4: You know, the other problem, when you lose all these people,
- 57:15Speaker 4: you lose congressional seats. Under Cuomo, we lost two or
- 57:18Speaker 4: three congressional seats because so many people left the state. Hey,
- 57:22Speaker 4: speaking of great economists, we've got one coming up next.
- 57:24Speaker 4: We'll talk to Steve Moore, who we hope, coming up
- 57:27Speaker 4: next on 710WOR. Welcome back to The Mark Simone Show.
- 57:34Speaker 14: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 57:39Speaker 4: Well, Steve Moore, the brilliant economist, and you should get
- 57:42Speaker 4: his latest book, The Trump Economic Miracle. It's an excellent book.
- 57:47Speaker 4: You'll learn a lot. Hey, also, you should sign up
- 57:49Speaker 4: for his daily briefings. The Committee to Unleash Prosperity puts
- 57:53Speaker 4: out the best news and analysis every day. It's free.
- 57:56Speaker 4: It'll come right to your email. Go to UnleashProsperity.com and
- 58:00Speaker 4: sign up. UnleashProsperity.com. Steve Moore, how are you doing?
- 58:05Speaker 7: Well, I'm doing well.
- 58:08Speaker 10: We got the latest just about an hour ago. We
- 58:11Speaker 10: got the latest numbers on inflation, you may have seen.
- 58:13Speaker 10: The number creeped up just a tiny bit, but we're...
- 58:17Speaker 10: We're at the 3.5% range on inflation, which is too high, obviously.
- 58:23Speaker 10: But you know what the inflation rate was four years
- 58:26Speaker 10: ago when Biden was president?
- 58:28Speaker 4: Zero?
- 58:30Speaker 10: Nine. Nine percent. And, you know, I understand people are
- 58:38Speaker 10: angry about it. your grocery prices and filling up your tank.
- 58:42Speaker 10: I am too. But, you know, when I was a kid,
- 58:45Speaker 10: or maybe you're about the same age that I am,
- 58:47Speaker 10: but I remember we had 9%, 10%, 11% inflation under
- 58:50Speaker 10: Jimmy Carter. So, you know, that's real inflation.
- 58:56Speaker 4: Now, in those days, the Carter days, didn't they include
- 59:01Speaker 4: energy costs in that back then and we don't do
- 59:03Speaker 4: it now?
- 59:06Speaker 10: I'm not so sure how they, you're quite right, They've
- 59:09Speaker 10: made some changes in the way they calculate things. But
- 59:13Speaker 10: back then, I mean, I remember it like it was
- 59:15Speaker 10: yesterday because I was like a teenager. And literally, every
- 59:18Speaker 10: time you go to the store, everything was more expensive.
- 59:21Speaker 10: And literally, they'd have people. Remember, that was back in
- 59:24Speaker 10: the days before they had all the barcodes. They would
- 59:26Speaker 10: put those sticker machines. They put the sticker prices on them.
- 59:30Speaker 10: And the joke was you'd try to grab the merchandise
- 59:33Speaker 10: before they could put a higher sticker on the stuff. So,
- 59:37Speaker 10: you know, inflation was raging out of control, and that
- 59:40Speaker 10: ruined the economy. So what is driving the inflation? I
- 59:44Speaker 10: just want to make sure your listeners, and I think
- 59:46Speaker 10: they do understand this. It's really one factor. It's oil prices.
- 59:50Speaker 10: And so if we can get those oil prices and
- 59:53Speaker 10: the diesel prices down, that will drive down the cost
- 59:56Speaker 10: of everything. I think that's going to happen in the
- 59:58Speaker 10: next couple of months. I don't know if it's going
- 59:59Speaker 10: to happen fast enough to save the Republicans, but that's
- 1:00:02Speaker 10: where we are right now. But all the other indicators, Mark,
- 1:00:06Speaker 10: on the economy are very strong. I mean, you've got,
- 1:00:10Speaker 10: you know, construction jobs. You've got manufacturing jobs. You've got
- 1:00:13Speaker 10: record low number of people on unemployment benefits. You've got...
- 1:00:17Speaker 10: The poverty rate is the lowest it's ever been. So overall,
- 1:00:22Speaker 10: I give this economy. I know Trump says, hey, plus, plus, plus. No,
- 1:00:26Speaker 10: I'd say it's a B-plus economy.
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: Yeah. Now, the problem is the media, and they did
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: this once before. They did it when Clinton and Bush
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: were running against each other. CBS News every night had
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: a feature called Economy in Crisis.
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: Right, right, right.
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: So they're doing that now. If you're just a guy
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: who works hard all day and you only got time
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: to watch the news at 630, They've convinced you the
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: economy is in total crisis. Well, what can be done?
- 1:00:50Speaker 10: Are you saying that the media doesn't like Donald Trump?
- 1:00:53Speaker 16: Come on.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00:54Speaker 10: But it is true. I mean, there's a study that
- 1:00:57Speaker 10: was done by my friends at the Media Research Center.
- 1:01:00Speaker 10: They found that in 2025, and by the way, 2025
- 1:01:03Speaker 10: was a real booming year for the economy. Yeah. 92%
- 1:01:08Speaker 10: of the news stories on the economy were negative.
- 1:01:10Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:01:12Speaker 10: Even though we had a booming economy. So right now
- 1:01:15Speaker 10: it's probably 98%.
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: Yeah, but it works.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: You know, you talk to the average person who's not
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: following things too closely. Wow, it's an economy like this.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: I don't know how he's going to live. Are you
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: drinking something?
- 1:01:27Speaker 10: The other point I wanted to make to you, Mark,
- 1:01:28Speaker 10: this morning, because I know you read our hotline every morning.
- 1:01:31Speaker 10: I hope people do get it.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: Oh, it's great.
- 1:01:34Speaker 10: It's free. So do you know what color the 10
- 1:01:38Speaker 10: states with the highest cost of living are?
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Blue.
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:42Speaker 10: They're Democrat states.
- 1:01:43Speaker 15: They're New York, New Jersey, California. In California, I know
- 1:01:46Speaker 15: you're there in the New York City area. In California,
- 1:01:50Speaker 15: they're paying well.
- 1:01:51Speaker 10: Over $ 6.
- 1:01:52Speaker 15: A gallon for gas because they put so many regulations
- 1:01:56Speaker 15: and taxes on. They're paying $ 1. 50 more a gallon for
- 1:01:59Speaker 15: gas than people pay in Nebraska.
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: Wow. Hey, so let's just say, God forbid the Democrats
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: win in November.
- 1:02:07Speaker 10: Exactly.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: What happens to the United States? What happens to the economy?
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: What happens to the stock market?
- 1:02:13Speaker 10: Well, listen, we've got a resilient economy and Trump will
- 1:02:15Speaker 10: have a veto power. Let's say the worst case scenario
- 1:02:19Speaker 10: for Republicans, if they lose the house and Senate, uh,
- 1:02:22Speaker 10: you know, Trump will have to play defense and stop
- 1:02:24Speaker 10: these crazy ideas of, of, of adopting socialism and, and
- 1:02:28Speaker 10: massive tax increases. Um, So, you know, he's going to be,
- 1:02:33Speaker 10: you know, and the stuff that he's going to be
- 1:02:35Speaker 10: able to do will have to, most of it will
- 1:02:37Speaker 10: have to be done through, you know, executive orders because
- 1:02:40Speaker 10: I don't see, you know, a, you know, a party
- 1:02:44Speaker 10: headed by AOC and El Sayyad do it much to
- 1:02:48Speaker 10: help Trump grow the economy.
- 1:02:49Speaker 19: Do you?
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: No, but how will they handle the impeachments? Will it
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: be one a month, one a week?
- 1:02:56Speaker 10: How are they going to do that? They won't be
- 1:02:59Speaker 10: able to restrain themselves. And, you know, we saw two
- 1:03:03Speaker 10: or three bogus impeachments. Remember the Russia collusion hoax, by
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: the way?
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: Yeah, of course.
- 1:03:08Speaker 10: They spent an entire year and a half on CNN
- 1:03:11Speaker 10: and MSNBC talking about that every night. And the whole thing, Paul,
- 1:03:14Speaker 10: turned out to be a complete hoax. So, yes, of
- 1:03:17Speaker 10: course they're going to try to impeach him. They're going
- 1:03:19Speaker 10: to go after the people in his administration. And I
- 1:03:23Speaker 10: think they'll probably overplay their hand on that, just as
- 1:03:26Speaker 10: Republicans did remember when they tried to impeach Clinton. for
- 1:03:30Speaker 10: the Monica Lewinsky scandal. So, you know, we'll see. But overall,
- 1:03:36Speaker 10: cheer up, folks, because this economy, yes, inflation is still
- 1:03:39Speaker 10: too high, but the jobs are out there. A lot
- 1:03:42Speaker 10: of the investment is coming in. The stock market's doing
- 1:03:45Speaker 10: really well. I'm a little nervous about the increase in
- 1:03:47Speaker 10: interest rates. That's something that's a little concerning, because if
- 1:03:50Speaker 10: interest rates go up, then the stock market usually comes
- 1:03:53Speaker 10: down a little bit.
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: Yeah. Hey, the big fear with AI, the original fear
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: was that it would put everybody out of work. That's
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: not been the case. Why is that?
- 1:04:03Speaker 10: Well, AI is pretty amazing. You know, it's interesting because
- 1:04:07Speaker 10: we will literally, with AI, in the next 10, 15 years,
- 1:04:12Speaker 10: have a cure for cancer. They have new technology that's
- 1:04:16Speaker 10: very nascent, but just that literally blind people will be
- 1:04:20Speaker 10: able to see. People will be able to rise out
- 1:04:22Speaker 10: of their wheelchairs. They'll have, how about this?
- 1:04:24Speaker 21: Think about this.
- 1:04:26Speaker 10: Mark, in 10 years' time, everybody might have their own
- 1:04:29Speaker 10: little robot that will make your bed for you and
- 1:04:32Speaker 10: will make your coffee for you in the morning. I mean,
- 1:04:35Speaker 10: life is going to change a lot thanks to robotics
- 1:04:38Speaker 10: and AI. I know people are a little bit worried
- 1:04:40Speaker 10: about it. Look, I think it's mostly positive, but people
- 1:04:44Speaker 10: are wondering what's this going to mean for my job
- 1:04:46Speaker 10: and so on. But the economic advantages and the health
- 1:04:50Speaker 10: benefits are going to be absolutely phenomenal.
- 1:04:52Speaker 8: Enormous.
- 1:04:53Speaker 10: I'm on the board of a company, you know this,
- 1:04:55Speaker 10: that's called Lightspeed, and we build houses with robots. So
- 1:05:00Speaker 10: we'll be able to cut the cost of building a
- 1:05:02Speaker 10: home in half. And that means, you know, housing will
- 1:05:05Speaker 10: become much more affordable. And, you know, people will be
- 1:05:09Speaker 10: able to move into bigger and more luxurious homes. So
- 1:05:13Speaker 10: I'm excited about this. But sometimes, you know, what drives
- 1:05:16Speaker 10: me crazy, Mark, these CEOs of these AI companies are
- 1:05:21Speaker 10: They're like their own worst enemies. Oh, it's going to
- 1:05:23Speaker 10: be doomsday. I mean, who does that? Who talks about,
- 1:05:26Speaker 10: you know, the new product? Oh, you don't want to
- 1:05:28Speaker 10: buy this because it's going to be doomsday. Yeah.
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: Hey, when you say this company is going to build
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: homes with robots, what do you mean? The robot will
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: actually have a hammer and be hammering a nail in?
- 1:05:38Speaker 10: It's amazing. You should go, you and your listeners, go
- 1:05:41Speaker 10: to lightspeed.com and you'll see we have, you know, video
- 1:05:45Speaker 10: of these robots building And yes, they screw in the screws.
- 1:05:49Speaker 10: They pound in the boards. Now, right now, they can
- 1:05:53Speaker 10: only do the outside structure of the home. But the
- 1:05:57Speaker 10: thing that's so amazing, Mark, is just every month that
- 1:06:01Speaker 10: goes by, these robots get better and better and better
- 1:06:04Speaker 10: at it. So yeah, within five years, they'll be able
- 1:06:07Speaker 10: to build practically the whole house.
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: Wow. So that's going to put a lot of construction
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: workers out of work.
- 1:06:16Speaker 10: Well, that's right. I mean, so people, the way we
- 1:06:19Speaker 10: work and the kinds of jobs we do will change.
- 1:06:22Speaker 10: A lot of the menial jobs, like somebody pounding a
- 1:06:26Speaker 10: nail into a piece of wood, that kind of menial
- 1:06:30Speaker 10: work of carrying huge... I remember when I was a
- 1:06:33Speaker 10: kid and my parents would take me to some of
- 1:06:35Speaker 10: these factories. I mean, those were sweatshops for people. That
- 1:06:39Speaker 10: was tough work. People carrying these huge.
- 1:06:45Speaker 10: Pieces of equipment and so on. A lot of that
- 1:06:47Speaker 10: will be done through machines and robots, but that means,
- 1:06:51Speaker 10: you know, you're not going to have that back-breaking kind
- 1:06:54Speaker 10: of work that people used to do, and work will
- 1:06:56Speaker 10: be actually more based and more fun. We'll have more
- 1:07:01Speaker 10: radio talk show hosts.
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: Yeah, a robot will be sitting here. You know, anytime
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: you had a new technology that put people out of work,
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: whether it was the industrial revolution, the digital revolution, It's
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: just a matter of a couple of years before everything
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: corrects and people find new jobs.
- 1:07:15Speaker 10: That's right. I mean, the most famous example of that,
- 1:07:18Speaker 10: you know what the invention probably led to the most,
- 1:07:22Speaker 10: put the most people out of work temporarily? It was
- 1:07:25Speaker 10: the farm tractor. Because when the farm tractor came, all
- 1:07:28Speaker 10: of a sudden, you know, it used to be half
- 1:07:30Speaker 10: of our workforce was growing food. You know, now it's 2%.
- 1:07:34Speaker 10: And that means the rest of us have more food
- 1:07:36Speaker 10: than ever before. And we get to do, we don't
- 1:07:38Speaker 10: have to pick fruits and vegetables all day.
- 1:07:40Speaker 6: Wow.
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: Very interesting. All right. Well, Steve Moore, great talking to you.

- 1:08:04Speaker 4: All right. Take care. Hey, we got a lot to
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: get to. You know, three hours now. I'm here three
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: hours every day. Nine to noon. Start at nine o'clock.
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: Nine to noon every day. And then at noon, you

- 1:08:20Speaker 4: for the price of one. Three o'clock, you got the
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: most listened to, single most popular radio show in America,
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: Sean Hannity. You got Jesse Kelly at six. You got
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: the very funny Jimmy Fallon. He's on every night, nine
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: to midnight, on 710WOR.
- 1:08:35Speaker 10: Com.
- 1:08:37Speaker 14: The Mark Simone Show, now 9 till noon.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Weekdays on 710WOR.
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: It's going to be warm today, about 78 degrees, and
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: then a chance for a little shower coming through in
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: the next hour or two, but otherwise a a really
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: nice day tomorrow's supposed to be um let's see 65
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: and sunny rain on friday and then the weekend bright
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: sunshine but only in the 50s that's the high the
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: 50s it'll be the first real crisp cool fall weekend
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: this uh saturday and sunday uh we got a lot
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: to get to in the in the next hour we'll
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: get to uh what happens if uh If Democrats win,
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: I don't think they will, but what happens if they
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: take the House? We'll get to the debate a whole
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: lot more. Coming up, it's Mark Simone here. Three hours
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: every day, 9 to noon. Three hours every day on 710WOR.
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: The Mark Simone Show.
- 1:09:37Speaker 8: Delivering the news before it's news.
- 1:09:41Speaker 25: On 710WOR.
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: Well, hey, President Trump, a brutal travel schedule. He's at
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: the White House yesterday. In the middle of the afternoon,
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: he leaves, jumps on Air Force One, flies to Alaska.
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: That is one long flight. Does a huge rally in
- 1:10:01Speaker 4: Alaska last night. From Alaska, gets back on Air Force One.
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: They fly to Las Vegas. He spends the night there
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: from Las Vegas. He's heading to Arizona today. And a
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: lot of travel, a lot of travel. He brought a
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: lot of people on the plane with him, a lot
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: of cabinet, Lutnick and others, and Katie Zachariah, the press conference. And,
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: excuse me a second. Oh, TV today, the Kudlow show
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: today at 4 o'clock. Let me just tell them yes.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: So make sure you watch that show every day. Very
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: important show. You'll learn more watching that. Larry Kudlow, every day,
- 1:10:43Speaker 4: 4 o'clock. It looks like I'll be on today. But anyway,
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: he was pretty good in Alaska and talking about, you know,
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: pipelines are a big deal up there.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: You know, a lot of times you have a deal done,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: all you need is a permit.
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: The permits take you 25 years.
- 1:10:59Speaker 10: I just told Dan backstage, every single permit that you need,
- 1:11:04Speaker 10: you can start tonight.
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: Now, you know, a lot of states, California is a
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: great example. It's like $ 6. 50 a gallon. It's like $ 2,
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: $ 3 more a gallon always in California. One reason is
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: they don't have any pipelines. We have tons and tons
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: and tons of oil. We produce more oil than anybody
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: in the world. Can't get it there. There's no pipelines.
- 1:11:27Speaker 11: Why?
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: Because California, all the green, climate change, whatever, they block pipelines.
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: I don't know what that has to do with the climate.
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: But they blocked any development of pipelines. They won't allow
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: any refineries. So instead of just simply getting oil through
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: the pipelines all day long, they have to import it
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: from other countries by ship. That's why it's so much.
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: Besides the fact that it's California, it's a blue state,
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: and they tax every gallon of gas like crazy. And
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: they put all kinds of fees on it. But those
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: pipelines are important. And one of the things the Biden
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: administration did was stop it all. or require ridiculous permits
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: to get it all done. But President, a big hit
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: in Alaska. Now, the new press secretary, I'm blanking out
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: her name, Katie Zakaria. Katie Zakaria is on the trip.
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: She was okay. She wasn't great in the first press conference, shaky, nervous.
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: But you can get over that. It's happened to other
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: press secretaries the first time. This trip will be like
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: graduate school because she's on the plane for many, many,
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: many hours with all of these people and the cabinet members.
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: One of the problems when you do your first press conference,
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: besides the fact you're nervous, it's the White House, you
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: don't know what you're supposed to know because the mistake
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: was you got to bring her in, have her spend
- 1:12:50Speaker 4: a week at the White House. You got to meet
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: with all the cabinet people, all the principals. You got
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: to talk to them for hours. Make sure you know
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: every detail of everything going on. And then you're ready
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: to go. You can't just jump in cold, but she did.
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: It wasn't as bad as everybody makes it out to be.
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: It was fine. Nervous, shaky, yes, but it was fine.
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: If you see the next one and she's 40% better,
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: then you know she'll be just fine. Hey, here's the
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: way it stands right now. It looks very good for
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: Republicans winning the Senate. It looks very good. The House,
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: it's too close to call. This could go either way
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: right now. What if Democrats win the House? They can
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: start impeaching the president. Will they do it? Of course
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: they'll do it. The last time they impeached him twice.
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: This time that means six, seven times. What will they
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: impeach him over? They'll impeach him over, I don't know, Iran.
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: They'll impeach him over profiteering. They'll impeach him over, I
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: don't know, they'll find a million things. They'll just watch MSNBC.
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: They'll give you a million things to impeach him over.
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: will it go anywhere?
- 1:13:58Speaker 9: No.
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: Will it bother him? No, not really. He loves this stuff.
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: He loves being in a battle. He has said, my
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: whole life is a series of battles. He loves to fight.
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: So he'll enjoy the impeachment. There's not much, if the
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: Republicans hold the Senate, the impeachment will go no place,
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: but they'll try it in the House. They'll hold hearings
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: every second. They'll hold hearings looking into everything, every cabinet member,
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: the family, the kids. They'll subpoena them. They'll What the
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: president may have to do if, for some reason, they
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: lose the House, between the election and January when the
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: new House takes over, if the Democrats win, he would
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: have to probably pardon everybody. Massive pardons. It sounds crazy,
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: but the Biden administration set the precedent to do it.
- 1:14:48Speaker 4: So that's what they would have to do. Now, Kimberly
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: Guilfoyle will want one of those pardons. They will definitely
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: go after her, call her in.
- 1:14:57Speaker 7: Why?
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: Because she was engaged to Donald Trump Jr. She lived
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: with him. They'll think that she must know everything about
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: the inner workings of the Trump family. So she'll definitely
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: be a target. What is Kimberly Guilfoyle doing now? She's
- 1:15:11Speaker 4: just resigned as the ambassador to Greece. It's happened before.
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: Ambassadors have had to leave before. This is leaving under
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: a bad cloud. But what will she do? You never know.
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: could go back to media she worked at Fox before
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: I don't think they'll take her back but she could
- 1:15:26Speaker 4: get a job at Newsmax something like that you never
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: know you never know the debate last night pretty strong
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: performance Bruce Bligman was great in last night's debate. Hochul
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: tried tearing him apart.
- 1:15:40Speaker 6: Kathy Hochul has spent $ 8 billion of your money on
- 1:15:45Speaker 6: illegal migrants for free food, free housing, free transportation, and
- 1:15:49Speaker 6: a free cell phone. That's your money that she spent on.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: People who aren't New Yorkers.
- 1:15:53Speaker 8: He says that he's gonna bring Trump-style leadership to Albany.
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: He says he's gonna cut Medicaid in half. You heard
- 1:16:02Speaker 8: him say that. And he's going to let ice run rampant.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: In our streets.
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: He's never said anything like that. He's never once said,
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: I'll bring Trump style. He's never, ever, ever said that.
- 1:16:13Speaker 6: On the Pennsylvania side of the border, people are driving.
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: Now, the big thing is energy costs. There are energy bills.
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: You know, there used to be 100. Now they're 400.
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: That's because of Hochul, Cuomo, shutting down Indian Point, nuclear stuff.
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: They will not allow fracking. We're sitting on a ton
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: of natural gas. We could frack and... your energy bill
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: would drop like 300% immediately. Now, they do it in Pennsylvania,
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: and the difference between Pennsylvania and us.
- 1:16:41Speaker 6: On the Pennsylvania side of the border, people are driving
- 1:16:43Speaker 6: around in brand new Cadillac Escalades. And on the New
- 1:16:46Speaker 6: York side of the border, they're driving around in 25-year-old
- 1:16:48Speaker 6: rusted-out pickup trucks because of your policies.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: You called my moratorium crazy.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: It was.
- 1:16:53Speaker 8: Donald Trump says it's only for dumb, poor people would
- 1:16:58Speaker 8: support that.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: Are you support what Donald Trump said there as well?
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: That's the problem. She kept resorting to all this old
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: Joe Biden kind of, you know, you're a racist, you're
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: a this, you're a that, you hate poor people, all
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: this stuff. Just cheap, crappy little political stuff. It wasn't
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: a good look for Hochul. The governor's race right now
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: is neck and neck. In the real polls, the real polls,
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: not the public ones, the real ones, it's pretty much tied.
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: They're both within the margin of error. But even in
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: the fake polls, the public polls, Here's one that came
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: out yesterday, has Hochul only 47%, Blakeman 44%. And that's
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: within the margin of error. The poll said, this is
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: one of these fake polls, but it said about 6%
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: of voters were undecided. So it's within the margin of error.
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: It's pretty much deadlocked right now. We'll see what effect
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: the debate has. It can take a couple of days
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: before you realize what effect the date had on everything.
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: Netflix just laid off a thousand people. That's 6% of
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: their workforce. Netflix. Well, you got to remember when Netflix
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: first came along, it was a crazy idea. Some people like,
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: and then all of a sudden it took off. All
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: of a sudden it was a stock that went from
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: 40 to 400. It was the biggest, hottest problem for
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: Netflix is a lot of other streaming services came along.
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: So it was all Netflix and now it's 17 different
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: streaming services. So they are cutting back a little. 1,000 workers, 6%
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: of their workforce laid off. You kids today, you wouldn't
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: believe it. Before this stuff, before streaming, you would not
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: believe it. If you wanted to see a movie, you
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: had to get in your car and drive to Blockbuster,
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: and you had to walk up and down the aisles
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: looking for movies. And then when you saw the movie
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: you wanted, it's in a box of VHS tape. Don't ask.
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: I can't explain what that is. It was called a
- 1:19:06Speaker 4: VHS tape. You had to bring that up to the counter.
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: where some pimple-faced kid would ring it up. You'd rent it.
- 1:19:14Speaker 4: You're not buying it. You're renting it. You'd take it home.
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: You'd watch it. I know if you're 20 years old
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: listening to me, you think this is insane. You'd watch it.
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: Then the next day, you had to get in your car,
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: drive back to the Blockbuster, and give it back to them.
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: And if you forgot to rewind it, you got charged extra.
- 1:19:36Speaker 4: I know you're saying, what is rewind? What does that mean?
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: It's too hard to explain. Don't worry about it. So,
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: and that was a hell of a business blockbuster.
- 1:19:45Speaker 25: Woo.
- 1:19:45Speaker 4: Was that a business? Look at it now. There's no
- 1:19:48Speaker 4: such thing anymore. Nobody knows what I'm talking about. So,
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: and the other problem was the cable bill got too high.
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: Your cable bill used to be $ 80 a month. Then
- 1:19:58Speaker 4: it became 150. Next thing you know, it's 250. So
- 1:20:01Speaker 4: that's why people switch to streaming. But the next thing
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: you know, there's 17 streaming services. Now your streaming cost
- 1:20:08Speaker 4: is like 400 a month. You can't win no matter
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: what you do here. So, hey, Leslie Stahl apparently was
- 1:20:15Speaker 4: threatening to quit 60 Minutes. Leslie Stahl doing a piece
- 1:20:20Speaker 4: on the West Bank on Israel. And, of course, it's
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: Leslie Stahl, 60 Minutes. They want to make Israel look
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: like butchers. They want to make Israel look terrible. So
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: apparently Barry Weiss stepped in and said– And she's the
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: new CBS Newsboy. She wanted to be hands-on and take
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: a look at the piece before it aired. And she
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: wanted some changes. She wanted it toned down. She didn't
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: want a hit piece on Israel. And apparently it got
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: ugly and Leslie Stahl threatened to quit. And next thing
- 1:20:50Speaker 4: you know, they backed off a little. They compromised. It
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: was still a pretty bad piece. But insiders say there's
- 1:20:58Speaker 4: no way Leslie Stahl would quit. First of all, she's
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: like 98 years old. How old is she? She's going
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: to be like 90. Where is she going to go?
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: She's not going to quit. And then a few people
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: on the inside said she's not going anywhere. She's addicted
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: to being on 60 Minutes. Well, that's true with a
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: lot of these anchors. They're just addicted to it. They
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: can't leave the spotlight. They got to have it. So
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: important to them. And a couple other insiders said she
- 1:21:26Speaker 4: knows if she leaves, where the hell she's going to go.
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: Nobody's going to hire her. She'll end up doing lectures
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: at universities like Scott Pelley and Sharon Alfonsi. Remember her?
- 1:21:37Speaker 4: Anybody remember her? Look at Scott Pelley. Look at anybody
- 1:21:41Speaker 4: that left. Where the hell are they? Look at these people.
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: Don Lemon, he's doing a show from home in his pajamas.
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: Chuck Todd, same thing. Does a fake podcast from home. Hey,
- 1:21:52Speaker 4: there's a big controversy. Open AI, you know, there's like
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: four companies control AI. Open AI is huge. trillion-dollar company.
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: So one of their engineers, a Saudi open AI engineer,
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: bugged the conference room where all the top executives meet.
- 1:22:11Speaker 4: This guy's 35 years old. I could tell you his name,
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: but it would take me like a year to pronounce this.
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: I don't know what the hell this name is. It's
- 1:22:18Speaker 4: like an eye chart. He's from Saudi Arabia. He's now
- 1:22:22Speaker 4: in federal custody. It's a very serious crime because in
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: this conference room, the top AI guys were discussing serious
- 1:22:31Speaker 4: AI secrets. So the guy somehow, first of all, you
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: got to blame these AI companies. If you're discussing that
- 1:22:40Speaker 4: kind of stuff, you better have real security around your boardroom.
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: Apparently it wasn't locked, the conference room. This guy got
- 1:22:47Speaker 4: in there, hid a microphone, an audio recording device wrapped
- 1:22:53Speaker 4: in toilet paper. He put it behind the TV in
- 1:22:56Speaker 4: the conference room and was able to hear everything. The
- 1:23:00Speaker 4: guy has been arrested. Apparently he was online researching how
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: to come up with secret recording devices. He was also
- 1:23:07Speaker 4: online looking for open AIs, building addresses, meeting rooms, information
- 1:23:13Speaker 4: about the leadership. So, I mean, they got this guy.
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: He'll end up in jail. But we don't know what
- 1:23:19Speaker 4: he did with the information that he got out of there. Yeah,
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: he was looking for all kinds of... That's the problem
- 1:23:26Speaker 4: with the internet. It's there forever. There'll always be a
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: record of what you were researching and what you were
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: looking for. So expect this guy to go to jail
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: for quite a while. We'll take some calls next. 800-321-0710
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: is the number. And we always love to have some
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: new callers.
- 1:23:42Speaker 27: 800-321-0710.
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: 9 till noon weekday. Smart Simone. Only on 710WOR. Hey,
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number. Let's go
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: to Tom in Jupiter, Florida. Tom, how you doing?
- 1:24:08Speaker 15: How are you, Mark?
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: No, you're in Jupiter. That's the Palm Beach is now.
- 1:24:14Speaker 4: How are you? So all the other people had to
- 1:24:17Speaker 4: flee to Jupiter. You don't hear that in Jupiter.
- 1:24:19Speaker 9: Do you?
- 1:24:21Speaker 15: No, not too much. No, it's still... Kind of bucolic there,
- 1:24:25Speaker 15: if you know what I mean.
- 1:24:26Speaker 4: Yes, if you're in Jupiter, somebody will say, hello, how
- 1:24:29Speaker 4: are you? If you're in Palm Beach, how are you?
- 1:24:31Speaker 9: That's right.
- 1:24:36Speaker 15: Hey, Mark, the reason I'm calling is my friend is
- 1:24:40Speaker 15: second in the Republican Party in Nassau County. And I
- 1:24:43Speaker 15: stressed to him the other day, and I don't know
- 1:24:45Speaker 15: how many people know this, but since Cuomo closed that
- 1:24:50Speaker 15: power plant in Indian Point, whatever it was.
- 1:24:53Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:24:54Speaker 15: Do you know that the state of New York, and
- 1:24:57Speaker 15: it's almost completed now, the state of New York paid
- 1:25:00Speaker 15: $ 1. 3 billion to build a pipeline from Canada to the
- 1:25:05Speaker 15: New York City line.
- 1:25:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:25:07Speaker 15: Which affected everybody's rates.
- 1:25:11Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 1:25:11Speaker 15: I mean, it's insane.
- 1:25:13Speaker 9: That should be his focus.
- 1:25:15Speaker 4: Well, that was the focus last night. But as we
- 1:25:18Speaker 4: always say, Cuomo closed Indian Point. That's 25% of our electricity. 25%
- 1:25:25Speaker 4: of our power. Cuomo shut it down for absolutely no
- 1:25:29Speaker 4: reason at all. And Hochul continues the policy. Let's go
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: to Eric in Connecticut. Eric, how are you doing?
- 1:25:37Speaker 27: Hi, Mark.
- 1:25:38Speaker 3: How are you?
- 1:25:39Speaker 10: Good.
- 1:25:41Speaker 7: I'm glad to get on the radio the first time
- 1:25:44Speaker 7: I called you.
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: We can tell.
- 1:25:47Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:25:48Speaker 7: And more of a comment, I appreciate what like Steve
- 1:25:55Speaker 7: Moore says and what you guys are saying, and I'm
- 1:25:58Speaker 7: definitely all on board with Trump.
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: But, what's the but?
- 1:26:03Speaker 7: So, with all these robots building houses, or the thought
- 1:26:09Speaker 7: that and how this mass automation is going to be great,
- 1:26:15Speaker 7: and the only thing is that people will have to
- 1:26:18Speaker 7: learn a new job. Well, that's sort of what was
- 1:26:22Speaker 7: said in the 80s when they shipped all our manufacturing overseas.
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: And that's a good point.
- 1:26:29Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: We go through this a lot, you know, industrial revolution,
- 1:26:33Speaker 4: put a lot of people out of work. They had
- 1:26:34Speaker 4: to use new jobs, digital revolution, 1999, 2000, a lot
- 1:26:38Speaker 4: of people put out of work. They had to learn
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: new jobs. And you're right. When we shipped all the
- 1:26:42Speaker 4: manufacturing away, closed all the factories. Uh, yeah. Uh, what
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: did Trump call it? Carnage, the carnage. They just shut
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: down the factories. all over America, put a lot of
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: people out of work. Let's go to John in Ronkonkomo. John,
- 1:26:57Speaker 4: how you doing?
- 1:26:59Speaker 18: Hey, good, Mark. Thanks for taking the call. Hey, don't
- 1:27:02Speaker 18: you wish guys like Harry Styles would do some research
- 1:27:05Speaker 18: if they're going to take up an issue like Oscar?
- 1:27:07Speaker 18: What do you think he saw like that in the airport?
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: Well, you've got to remember, if you're Harry Styles, you're
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: just going to watch CNN and MSNOW, and you're going
- 1:27:17Speaker 4: to believe this poor guy was gunned down in the street.
- 1:27:20Speaker 4: They never mentioned He's a gang member, career criminal. He
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: took his car and tried to run over the cops
- 1:27:26Speaker 4: with it. They fired when he tried to run them
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: down with his car. They never tell you that part.
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: That's the problem with fake news. They give you half
- 1:27:33Speaker 4: the story. That should be their motto. MS Now, half
- 1:27:37Speaker 4: the story. Our half of it. Let's go to Peter
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: and Beth Page. Peter, how are you doing?
- 1:27:42Speaker 26: Hey, Mark. How are you?
- 1:27:44Speaker 7: Good.
- 1:27:45Speaker 26: Yeah, I just, you know, I'm troubled by the Republicans.
- 1:27:49Speaker 26: They never talk about the big, beautiful bill and how,
- 1:27:54Speaker 26: especially New York, right, has gained so much from it. Like,
- 1:27:59Speaker 26: I'll calculate. I'm not an accountant, by the way.
- 1:28:01Speaker 4: You sound like an accountant.
- 1:28:03Speaker 26: Because if you break it down, right, a modest New
- 1:28:09Speaker 26: York middle-class family, right, with a home in Westchester or
- 1:28:13Speaker 26: Nassau County, they're getting back Not deducted, but back about
- 1:28:18Speaker 26: $ 23, 000 in tax savings, right? I mean, any cop fireman
- 1:28:26Speaker 26: that makes $ 25, 000 in overtime, that's $ 5, 500 back in their pocket.
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right. They've got to make more of that
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: because wages are up. Wages are up. Taxes are down.
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: federal uh you can't uh you can't do anything if
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: you're trump about the new york state taxes but yeah
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: average income is up wages are up all that stuff
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: is up let's go to bill in uh massapequa bill
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: how you doing uh good mark how are you good.
- 1:28:56Speaker 21: Um I'm calling about, nobody's talking about the Speaker of
- 1:29:01Speaker 21: the Assembly. He went to South America.
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: Carl Hastie? We've talked about it for three days here.
- 1:29:11Speaker 21: Oh, you did? I missed it then. But anyway, his roommate.
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: Yeah, I know. We've covered the story. People always call you,
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: how come nobody ever reports that... Well, they do. That's
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: how you knew about it. Yeah, Carl Hastie was seen in...
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: Some splashy vacation in Rio with a guy who had
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: been his roommate years ago. They were pretty close. And
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: the guy has become a big lobbyist. It's believed he
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: paid for the trip, which would not be kosher. Hasty
- 1:29:40Speaker 4: has refused to say who paid for the trip. So
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: has the lobbyist. Looks pretty sleazy. But he's a Democrat,
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: so he has immunity. Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 1:29:50Speaker 4: how you doing?
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark. Mark, I'm okay. I listened to the
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: debate last night, and one of my favorite lines is
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: when Kathy Hochul was crawling, oh, I spent $ 4 billion
- 1:30:01Speaker 3: hiring new police throughout the state, and Bruce Blakeman came
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: back and hit her with a punch. He said, and
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: you spent $ 8 billion giving migrants free health care, housing,
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: and cell phones. You know, a lot of these anti-AI people, Mark,
- 1:30:19Speaker 3: they don't realize that New jobs are created. These robots
- 1:30:24Speaker 3: and all this associated stuff with AI needs servicing, needs
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: people to service these robots, to get the equipment that
- 1:30:33Speaker 3: these robots....
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: Yeah, but they'll have robots that fix the robots.
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: Well, but still, somebody's going to have to learn the
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: technology to fix and program the master robot. Folks, you
- 1:30:48Speaker 3: may hear me sometimes come on Mark's show, and I'll
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: say something. I'll rail against Trump here and there. But
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: let me make it perfectly clear. I will never vote
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: for a Democrat. I'm going to vote for Bruce Blakeman.
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: I'm going to vote right down the line. I would
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: never want to see somebody, any Democrat, in the presidency,
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: so much so that I always put my money where
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: my mouth is. And last night, I couldn't do it
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: with the broccoli roll. I cut a check. To Bruce Blakeman.
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: And everybody who's listening within the sound of my voice.
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: Yeah, good for you, Vincent. Everybody donate. Go to BlakemanForNewYork.com. BlakemanForNewYork.com.
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: Make a donation. Vincent, great call. We've got to take
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: a break. And when we come back, Ann Coulter will
- 1:31:39Speaker 4: be with us next on 710WOR.
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show.
- 1:31:44Speaker 14: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: Well, Ann Coulter, the best-selling author, the great columnist. You
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: should follow her on Twitter. Even better is Substack, where
- 1:32:00Speaker 4: she's got her columns, her videos, her podcasts, everything. She's
- 1:32:03Speaker 4: also got a great Rumble channel. It's Ann Coulter at Rumble.
- 1:32:08Speaker 4: And Ann Coulter, how are you doing?
- 1:32:10Speaker 12: Fantastic.
- 1:32:12Speaker 27: How are you, Mark Simone?
- 1:32:13Speaker 4: I'm good. I'm good. One of your books a long
- 1:32:16Speaker 4: time ago, you wrote about McCarthy and communism, the McCarthy hearings,
- 1:32:20Speaker 4: if they could show that you ever in your life
- 1:32:23Speaker 4: ever even met with a communist, you were finished. You
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: were out of work forever. Now today, Democrats brag about
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: being communists. How did this happen?
- 1:32:35Speaker 18: Oh, they were.
- 1:32:35Speaker 26: Broken back then, too.
- 1:32:37Speaker 27: They liked to go on offense and defense at the
- 1:32:40Speaker 27: same time. There was just a lot of wailing about nothing.
- 1:32:45Speaker 27: And of course, McCarthy was only interested in communists in
- 1:32:49Speaker 27: possessions of power at the State Department where they were
- 1:32:52Speaker 27: and where they were influencing policy, such as giving away
- 1:32:56Speaker 27: all of Eastern Europe to the Soviet Union. That was
- 1:33:00Speaker 27: Alger Hiss sitting at the right hand of FDR at Yalta.
- 1:33:05Speaker 27: So it was a pretty serious, serious matter. But yes,
- 1:33:08Speaker 27: it's funny how they openly talk about it now. They
- 1:33:11Speaker 27: kind of talked about it openly back then, too.
- 1:33:14Speaker 4: Wow. But did you ever think you'd see a time
- 1:33:17Speaker 4: where they actually run as socialists, communists, and campaign based
- 1:33:22Speaker 4: on that?
- 1:33:24Speaker 27: It's very strange. I guess people just don't, I mean,
- 1:33:32Speaker 27: nobody remembers anything. And so we have to keep reliving
- 1:33:38Speaker 27: the same mistakes over and over and over again.
- 1:33:42Speaker 4: And if you're a dumb college kid, what is it
- 1:33:44Speaker 4: about communism that you love? Do they think it means
- 1:33:47Speaker 4: equality for everybody, fairness for everybody? Is that what they think?
- 1:33:51Speaker 27: Well, I think, maybe I'm wrong about this, but I
- 1:33:54Speaker 27: think they mostly call themselves socialists. Communists, I think, probably
- 1:34:00Speaker 27: still is like saying anarchists or something wild to show
- 1:34:04Speaker 27: how radical.
- 1:34:05Speaker 16: And cool you are.
- 1:34:06Speaker 27: And for socialism, I think they just want free stuff.
- 1:34:09Speaker 4: Yeah, well. Hey, speaking of college, your old alma mater there, Cornell,
- 1:34:15Speaker 4: a lot of trouble there. What do you think of
- 1:34:17Speaker 4: this Bill Maher idea, close all fraternities, don't even have
- 1:34:20Speaker 4: many more?
- 1:34:21Speaker 27: Oh, I'm so glad you asked. I have another article
- 1:34:24Speaker 27: or column on that going up a little later today.
- 1:34:27Speaker 27: You will have to read the column, but the reason
- 1:34:34Speaker 27: they're so obsessed with fraternities, I mean, they're always obsessed
- 1:34:36Speaker 27: with fraternities, is because they see them as these bastions
- 1:34:39Speaker 27: of waspdom and traditional American values, which in fact is
- 1:34:44Speaker 27: exactly what they are. But it's curious how they are
- 1:34:47Speaker 27: so fixated on fisheries this time. And I suspect it's
- 1:34:52Speaker 27: because normally when they need, they're dying, dying for white
- 1:34:56Speaker 27: gang rapists, something that incidentally never happens. So they're constantly
- 1:35:01Speaker 27: making up stories, the media, Democrats, liberals, making up stories
- 1:35:05Speaker 27: about white gang rapes. There were the white gang rapists
- 1:35:08Speaker 27: at the UVA fraternity, the famous Rolling Stone article. White
- 1:35:14Speaker 27: Duke lacrosse players, alleged gang rape. White military contractors, that
- 1:35:19Speaker 27: was Jamie Lee Jones, got the law changed. Huge hearings
- 1:35:23Speaker 27: in the Senate, led by none other than Al Franken.
- 1:35:28Speaker 27: White prosecutors and police, allegedly illegal. gang-raped Tawana Brawley. That
- 1:35:33Speaker 27: was the one that kind of set the whole thing off.
- 1:35:36Speaker 27: All of them fake. All of them, all of them,
- 1:35:38Speaker 27: all of them. And coincidentally, there are seven fraternity brothers
- 1:35:47Speaker 27: now being accused in the pleadings. So at the time,
- 1:35:50Speaker 27: Jane Doe admitted that two of them never laid a
- 1:35:54Speaker 27: finger on her. They just stepped into the room. They
- 1:35:56Speaker 27: told the police, it's the two Scotts, Scott Norris and Scott... Kreshmar,
- 1:36:01Speaker 27: I think his name is, the two Scots told the police,
- 1:36:05Speaker 27: we saw this vulgar course tweet sent out by fraternity
- 1:36:10Speaker 27: brother Jonathan Newell, an African-American, by the way, but we'll
- 1:36:14Speaker 27: get back to that in a moment, offering free and
- 1:36:18Speaker 27: then vulgar term for a woman's private parts. So they
- 1:36:23Speaker 27: wanted to know what the hell was going on and
- 1:36:26Speaker 27: shut it down if there were any sexual hijinks. They
- 1:36:29Speaker 27: said they went up to the room, Jane Doe was conversational,
- 1:36:33Speaker 27: they left after five minutes, never laid a finger on her.
- 1:36:37Speaker 27: She agreed that they never touched her at the time,
- 1:36:41Speaker 27: which is why the other five were suspended, expelled, barred
- 1:36:46Speaker 27: from campus, because that one had already graduated. These two,
- 1:36:51Speaker 27: the two Scots, by the way, the only two white guys,
- 1:36:56Speaker 27: their punishment was to read up on sexual harassment, and
- 1:36:59Speaker 27: something called bystander intervention. But everybody's agreed. Jane Doe, them,
- 1:37:06Speaker 27: these guys, never touch her. So who are the ones
- 1:37:09Speaker 27: who engaged in sexual acts with her, and their defense
- 1:37:13Speaker 27: is it was consensual? It may well be. An awful
- 1:37:17Speaker 27: lot of evidence seems to go that way. Yet and still,
- 1:37:21Speaker 27: it was an orgy. Who did have sexual acts with
- 1:37:25Speaker 27: Jane Doe? Well, the five of them who admit to
- 1:37:28Speaker 27: engaging in sexual activity which ain't no uh... one muslim
- 1:37:32Speaker 27: one african-american to hispanics and one asian so that's why
- 1:37:38Speaker 27: we're getting this fixation on fraternities so you don't look
- 1:37:42Speaker 27: too closely at who did what and uh... and uh...
- 1:37:48Speaker 27: and and and and you're just supposed to think what
- 1:37:51Speaker 27: think what.
- 1:37:53Speaker 26: It's elitist.
- 1:37:54Speaker 27: It's privilege. Elitist to privilege. The exact same things they
- 1:37:59Speaker 27: said about the Duke lacrosse players, about UVA. They're elite.
- 1:38:03Speaker 27: They're privileged. It's supposed to be white, white, white, white, white.
- 1:38:06Speaker 27: And strikingly, wow, year after year, decades of absolute rape
- 1:38:14Speaker 27: sprees on college campuses by college football players. And, oh,
- 1:38:20Speaker 27: my gosh, you never hear a peep about that.
- 1:38:23Speaker 18: Wow.
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: Hey, the other thing the left is crazy about, Christopher Columbus.
- 1:38:29Speaker 4: they just keep going after him. I mean, it's America.
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: He discovered it. Shouldn't he be a hero even to
- 1:38:34Speaker 4: the left? And wasn't he the first illegal migrant? Shouldn't
- 1:38:38Speaker 4: they be celebrating this guy?
- 1:38:41Speaker 27: He was absolutely not illegal. He was a great discoverer.
- 1:38:45Speaker 27: Of course we should celebrate him. We should put him
- 1:38:48Speaker 27: on Rushmore. Yes, he brought the Western culture, the greatest
- 1:38:53Speaker 27: culture in the history of mankind, to a godforsaken land where, quote,
- 1:39:00Speaker 27: indigenous are running around in loincloths having to taste a
- 1:39:04Speaker 27: buffalo whenever their stomachs growl. I mean, a country... They
- 1:39:10Speaker 27: had no concept of property rights, the idea that we
- 1:39:13Speaker 27: stole land from them. We're nomadic people. And if they're... quote, civilization,
- 1:39:21Speaker 27: had triumphed, America wouldn't be able to support more than, oh,
- 1:39:27Speaker 27: I don't know, 700,000 people. But thanks to the innovations
- 1:39:32Speaker 27: of Western Europe, we've been able to create the richest,
- 1:39:37Speaker 27: most prosperous, freest, greatest country in the world.
- 1:39:41Speaker 19: Oh, all right.
- 1:39:43Speaker 18: Hurricanes.
- 1:39:45Speaker 4: Hurricanes. Shouldn't there be a law that you have to
- 1:39:48Speaker 4: pick a normal name? Now there's hurricane names. Nobody knows
- 1:39:52Speaker 4: what the hell the name of this hurricane is.
- 1:39:57Speaker 27: No, maybe you look this up. I just thought what
- 1:40:00Speaker 27: a stupid name it was and tweeted out that I
- 1:40:02Speaker 27: want the next one to be in a language that
- 1:40:06Speaker 27: has those clicking noises used by African Bushmen. They actually
- 1:40:11Speaker 27: have clicks as part of their click. I don't know
- 1:40:13Speaker 27: how to do it. as part of their language. So
- 1:40:15Speaker 27: that would be great for a hurricane name. But who
- 1:40:17Speaker 27: on earth is coming up with these names?
- 1:40:20Speaker 4: Yeah, it used to be Hurricane Sally, Hurricane Frank, Hurricane John.
- 1:40:24Speaker 27: Oh, I go farther. I don't think they should be
- 1:40:26Speaker 27: named after men.
- 1:40:28Speaker 9: Oh.
- 1:40:28Speaker 27: Let's go back to, I mean, it was all, hurricanes
- 1:40:31Speaker 27: were always named after women. And then, because there can
- 1:40:36Speaker 27: never be any difference, any difference at all in men
- 1:40:39Speaker 27: and women. No, we have to start giving them Actually,
- 1:40:42Speaker 27: it was funny how the first several names, when they
- 1:40:45Speaker 27: started going to male names, sounded like really gay names.
- 1:40:51Speaker 27: Which sort of made sense, because that's why I think
- 1:40:53Speaker 27: hurricanes should be named only after women. It's one of
- 1:40:59Speaker 27: our little techniques for keeping people in control to be
- 1:41:02Speaker 27: able to act like a hurricane.
- 1:41:04Speaker 4: Well, that's true. If it's a lot of hot air
- 1:41:06Speaker 4: and noise, I guess you should name it after a woman.
- 1:41:09Speaker 4: There you go.
- 1:41:10Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:41:12Speaker 4: Hey, you didn't see the debate last night, did you?
- 1:41:13Speaker 4: The governor's debate here in New York?
- 1:41:17Speaker 27: I did not see it, but I've read about it.
- 1:41:21Speaker 27: I guess Kathy Hogle thinks she's running against Trump.
- 1:41:26Speaker 4: Yeah, but she hits him with all this. You hang
- 1:41:28Speaker 4: around with white supremacists, QAnon. Where do they come up
- 1:41:31Speaker 4: with these idiotic things to hit people with?
- 1:41:34Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:41:35Speaker 27: Did she really? That's interesting. The New York Times did
- 1:41:37Speaker 27: not report that.
- 1:41:38Speaker 4: Oh, of course they didn't. Imagine Bruce Blakeman hanging around
- 1:41:41Speaker 4: with QAnon.
- 1:41:42Speaker 27: That's very embarrassing.
- 1:41:45Speaker 4: For her.
- 1:41:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:41:47Speaker 27: And, I mean, that sort of crap I would think
- 1:41:51Speaker 27: would annoy people that even if they were on the fence,
- 1:41:55Speaker 27: they would say, okay, that's it. I don't know anything
- 1:41:57Speaker 27: about this guy, but I'm voting for him because this
- 1:42:00Speaker 27: is such nonsense.
- 1:42:02Speaker 4: Yeah, besides the fact that you look like a dirty,
- 1:42:04Speaker 4: cheap politician and he looked like a statesman and like
- 1:42:07Speaker 4: a common-sense, normal guy. And a dwarf.
- 1:42:11Speaker 27: Do you know if she's technically the legal definition of
- 1:42:14Speaker 27: a dwarf?
- 1:42:14Speaker 4: No, she's not a dwarf. She's like 5'1.
- 1:42:17Speaker 16: Okay, well, let's look that up.
- 1:42:21Speaker 4: With heels.
- 1:42:22Speaker 27: Yeah, with heels, exactly.

- 1:43:27Speaker 9: 710WOR.
- 1:43:28Speaker 4: You send out the president's schedule every day. This one
- 1:43:36Speaker 4: looks brutal. You know, yesterday he was in Alaska. Middle
- 1:43:38Speaker 4: of the day, he flies up to Alaska, does a
- 1:43:40Speaker 4: big rally. From Alaska, he flies to Las Vegas, Nevada.
- 1:43:44Speaker 4: He spends the night there. From Las Vegas today, he
- 1:43:48Speaker 4: wakes up in Las Vegas. Then today he goes to
- 1:43:51Speaker 4: Arizona for another event. Then from Arizona, he goes to
- 1:43:57Speaker 4: Montana for another event. He's just flying all over the
- 1:44:01Speaker 4: place nonstop. This is a lot of travel. That's like
- 1:44:05Speaker 4: four states in two days. It's a brutal schedule. Hey,
- 1:44:08Speaker 4: it's going to be warm today. It'll be near 80.
- 1:44:11Speaker 4: There could be some rain in a little while. But
- 1:44:14Speaker 4: a nice day otherwise. And then it looks great for
- 1:44:17Speaker 4: the rest of the week, except for Friday. A lot
- 1:44:20Speaker 4: of rain on Friday. And then a sunny but very
- 1:44:22Speaker 4: cool weekend in the 50s. That'll be the high this weekend. Hey,
- 1:44:27Speaker 4: we're out of time. I'll be back tomorrow. I'm here
- 1:44:30Speaker 4: every day, 9 to noon. Three hours, 9 to noon.
- 1:44:33Speaker 4: And if you can't listen live, remember you get the
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: podcast of this show. Any place you get podcasts, you
- 1:44:37Speaker 4: can hear this show. Back tomorrow at 10. See you then.
- 1:44:40Speaker 10: 710WOR.
