- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York, The Mark sim
- 0:04Speaker 1: Own Show on seven tenor.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hey, we'll get to Minnesota, We'll get to Jimmy Kimmel, Colbert,
- 0:14Speaker 2: We'll get to CBS. We'll get to the Hilton, We'll
- 0:17Speaker 2: get to Milania, We'll get to the Mayor. We got
- 0:20Speaker 2: a lot to talk about today. What the hell? This
- 0:23Speaker 2: is ridiculous, this weather. We You know, we've had big
- 0:26Speaker 2: snowstorms before, in fact, much bigger than this one. But
- 0:30Speaker 2: in every case, the day or two after the snowstorm,
- 0:33Speaker 2: it gets over freezing over thirty two degrees and it
- 0:36Speaker 2: starts melting. We've never had this happen before, where you
- 0:39Speaker 2: get the snowstorm and then it stays in the teens
- 0:43Speaker 2: for the whole week, and the snow just doesn't go away.
- 0:47Speaker 2: So it's just miserable outside. It's hard to stay outside
- 0:51Speaker 2: very long. You don't even have to go to Jimmy
- 0:53Speaker 2: get all your exercise jumping over snowbanks and puddles and slush,
- 0:58Speaker 2: and to be a while before you can go back
- 1:01Speaker 2: to regular shoes. You got to wear your snow shoes,
- 1:03Speaker 2: your snow boots, your ugly shoes. It's just a mess
- 1:06Speaker 2: out there. The mayor is calling it code blue. That's
- 1:10Speaker 2: the new term. Eleven people have died already outside. They
- 1:15Speaker 2: found dead people outside who are out in the streets
- 1:18Speaker 2: and just died in the cold weather. And it's cold blue.
- 1:24Speaker 3: That's what the city remains in Cold blue, which means
- 1:27Speaker 3: that we are intensifying outreach, that we are conducting round
- 1:30Speaker 3: the clock checks and have loosened traditional shelter intake procedures
- 1:34Speaker 3: to accommodate as many New Yorkers as possible.
- 1:37Speaker 2: You gotta admit he's very good at those press conferences.
- 1:39Speaker 2: He sounds very authoritative when he talks. He may not
- 1:41Speaker 2: know what he's doing, but he sounds good. But it's
- 1:44Speaker 2: been a horrible situation. People have died outside.
- 1:46Speaker 3: But at least ten New Yorkers have tragically lost their
- 1:49Speaker 3: lives after being found outdoors. We don't yet know whether
- 1:52Speaker 3: every case will be ruled hypothermia, but we need every
- 1:55Speaker 3: New Yorker to be on alert, looking out for their neighbors.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it actually hit eleven after that statement.
- 2:00Speaker 3: We are mobilizing every resource at our disposal to ensure
- 2:03Speaker 3: that New Yorkers are brought indoors during this potentially lethal
- 2:06Speaker 3: weather event.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Well, so Minnesota, the Trump administration trying to reset things
- 2:13Speaker 2: a little course correction. The border patrol has been pulled out,
- 2:18Speaker 2: not just the leader of the border patrol, but the
- 2:20Speaker 2: entire border patrol. Because they're a border patrol. They operate
- 2:25Speaker 2: on the border with no population around them. To suddenly
- 2:29Speaker 2: be operating in a city, he's a whole different thing
- 2:31Speaker 2: for a border patrol. And to be operating in a
- 2:34Speaker 2: city where the police have been ordered to go away
- 2:38Speaker 2: and let the protesters go at the border patrol, this
- 2:41Speaker 2: is the key to this whole situation. The shooting of
- 2:45Speaker 2: the nurse pretty if you look at it from what
- 2:48Speaker 2: we know so far, doesn't look justified. It doesn't look
- 2:51Speaker 2: like a good shooting. I mean it's I'm sure it's
- 2:54Speaker 2: legal because in that kind of mayhem struggle guy resisting,
- 3:01Speaker 2: they're probably covered legally. But it doesn't look like a
- 3:03Speaker 2: good shooting. It doesn't look like it was necessary. But again,
- 3:08Speaker 2: border patrol not used to being in a city, not
- 3:12Speaker 2: used to working in crowds. They work all alone on
- 3:14Speaker 2: a border, and they're certainly not used to being physically
- 3:17Speaker 2: confronted by a mob of protesters. They're not used to it.
- 3:21Speaker 2: They're untrained for that. They're inexperience with that. So the
- 3:26Speaker 2: real key to all of this. You can argue about
- 3:28Speaker 2: the officer shooting all of that stuff, but the real
- 3:30Speaker 2: key to this is the mayor and the governor's decision
- 3:34Speaker 2: to remove all police from the scene, which created the
- 3:38Speaker 2: total chaos. No, we've had many times where there's massive
- 3:42Speaker 2: protests going on, but the protesters are under control because
- 3:45Speaker 2: the police are there setting up barricades, keeping the crowd
- 3:49Speaker 2: on that side of the street, and the protesters are
- 3:51Speaker 2: certainly allowed to yell all kinds of things and wave
- 3:55Speaker 2: their signs and yell and scream. That's a protest. What
- 3:58Speaker 2: happened in Minnesota is those are not protesters. Pretty was
- 4:02Speaker 2: not a protester. Protester is a guy with a sign,
- 4:05Speaker 2: yelling and protesting. But when you physically get involved, you
- 4:10Speaker 2: try to interfere with a law enforcement operation, You try
- 4:14Speaker 2: to actually stop the law enforcement operation, interfere with law
- 4:18Speaker 2: enforcement and prevent whatever. That's not protesting. That's a whole
- 4:23Speaker 2: other category. And the police were not anywhere near any
- 4:27Speaker 2: of this. They had been deliberately called back. You got
- 4:30Speaker 2: the police, the president of the police union in Minneapolis,
- 4:36Speaker 2: the president of the police union now coming out and
- 4:39Speaker 2: saying that this is what caused this. He's specifically blaming this.
- 4:45Speaker 2: He's the head of the police union. I'm looking for
- 4:47Speaker 2: his statement here. Minnesota Police Union boss Mark Ross tells
- 4:53Speaker 2: his staff there would have been no loss of life
- 4:55Speaker 2: had the police been there, had they not been held
- 4:58Speaker 2: back by the mayor, there would have been no loss
- 5:01Speaker 2: of life. Things would have remained under control. He says. Unfortunately,
- 5:05Speaker 2: our local politicians would not allow the police there, would
- 5:08Speaker 2: not allow them to maintain order. As a result, Ice
- 5:13Speaker 2: and Border patrol agents, who are not trained to deal
- 5:15Speaker 2: with civilian clashes like this, have been all on their
- 5:20Speaker 2: own trying to deal with angry locals. He said that
- 5:24Speaker 2: such cooperation didn't even interfere with Minnesota's sanctuary laws. All
- 5:29Speaker 2: they had to do was allow the police to maintain order. Now,
- 5:33Speaker 2: Democrats have a history of this when it comes to this,
- 5:37Speaker 2: of pulling back the police. So this sort of stuff happened.
- 5:40Speaker 2: She saw the same thing on January sixth. They were
- 5:42Speaker 2: offered ten thousand troops to guard the capitol, and that
- 5:46Speaker 2: would have kept the protesters at a distance from the capitol.
- 5:50Speaker 2: They wouldn't have gotten near the Capitol or into the
- 5:52Speaker 2: Capitol Pelosi, and she later admitted to this on video,
- 5:57Speaker 2: and the mayor, Muriel Bowser, turned it down. Knows who
- 6:00Speaker 2: was behind that decision to turn down the troops. Now,
- 6:03Speaker 2: all they had were the building police, you know, the
- 6:05Speaker 2: building security people, the Capitol Hill police force, who were
- 6:09Speaker 2: not equipped in any way to handle a mob of
- 6:13Speaker 2: four hundred thousand people. A handful of building cops can't
- 6:16Speaker 2: handle four hundred thousand people. So the whole place got
- 6:19Speaker 2: overryin it's the same thing in Minnesota. The police were
- 6:22Speaker 2: told to go away, do not go there, do not
- 6:25Speaker 2: maintain order, do not control the protesters, So they left
- 6:29Speaker 2: the category of protesters. They're physically clashing with the officers
- 6:34Speaker 2: and actually trying to interfere with their operations, trying to
- 6:38Speaker 2: block them. And the other problem is you got the
- 6:40Speaker 2: mayor and the governor spreading this false crap that they're
- 6:44Speaker 2: not police. The governor saying stop preferring to them as
- 6:48Speaker 2: law enforcement. They're not law enforcement, which is absolutely not true.
- 6:51Speaker 2: You got other Democrats there calling them mall cops, not police.
- 6:55Speaker 2: This is not true. They're actual official law enforcement police officers.
- 7:00Speaker 2: That's the main cause. Then you got Chuck Schumer. We
- 7:04Speaker 2: can't play it on the air because he's using the
- 7:06Speaker 2: F word and cursing. It's up on my Twitter if
- 7:08Speaker 2: you want to see it. Schumer trying to sound tough,
- 7:11Speaker 2: using the F word a lot about this. Here's a
- 7:13Speaker 2: cleaned up. This is another statement.
- 7:15Speaker 4: I felt I was punched in the stomach.
- 7:17Speaker 5: I looked at those pictures, those videos over and over
- 7:20Speaker 5: again and said, this can't be America.
- 7:23Speaker 4: This is some kind of a Fasci's dictatorship.
- 7:28Speaker 2: It's what happens if you got crazy out of control
- 7:31Speaker 2: of protesters rioters, and you take the police away and
- 7:35Speaker 2: let them physically clash with the cops. It's what happened
- 7:38Speaker 2: in January sixth. And look at Ashley Babbitt, and that
- 7:40Speaker 2: was a far worse shooting than Pretty. In the case
- 7:43Speaker 2: of Ashley Babbitt, she was twenty feet away, She was
- 7:47Speaker 2: nowhere near anybody. There was no physical confrontation. She wasn't
- 7:50Speaker 2: confronting them. She was trespassing, trying to come through the window.
- 7:53Speaker 2: But from twenty feet away, the officer just shot her
- 7:56Speaker 2: in cold blood. Pretty was different. He was there confronting
- 7:59Speaker 2: the police physically, he was resisting arrest. Was a whole
- 8:02Speaker 2: different thing. So and after Ashley Babbitt, poor woman shot
- 8:08Speaker 2: in cold blood right in Schumer's own building office building,
- 8:10Speaker 2: did he say a word. Nope. So Obama put out
- 8:13Speaker 2: a statement yesterday about the killing of pretty and we're
- 8:21Speaker 2: still waiting for his statement on Ashley Babbitt. We haven't
- 8:23Speaker 2: seen that yet. It's about five years later. Jimmy Kimmel
- 8:26Speaker 2: crying on the air last night. The President has talked
- 8:31Speaker 2: about and other people have talked about these protesters being funded,
- 8:34Speaker 2: you know, Soros type money. We mentioned one of the
- 8:36Speaker 2: guys funding this, Neville Roy Singham, the guy that's working
- 8:41Speaker 2: with the Chinese communists out of Shanghai, funding this kind
- 8:45Speaker 2: of stuff. And Kimmel on the air last night, yelling
- 8:48Speaker 2: and screaming there's no proof. Trump has no proof, calling
- 8:52Speaker 2: on him to prove it. Well, it's currently under investigation
- 8:55Speaker 2: actually by the Justice Department, by Congress tracing the money.
- 8:59Speaker 2: So I wouldn't state of that line too long because
- 9:02Speaker 2: the proof may emerge pretty soon. Hey. By the way,
- 9:05Speaker 2: Colbert goes off the air. May first, they've announced the
- 9:10Speaker 2: he's announced the end date. May first, they'll be the
- 9:12Speaker 2: final show. And of course people getting all riled up.
- 9:15Speaker 2: But you got to remember Colbert, regardless of the politics. Colbert,
- 9:20Speaker 2: you know, said it was all because of Trump and Trump,
- 9:23Speaker 2: you know, in his lawsuit at CBS where they had
- 9:26Speaker 2: to pay m a big settlement, that was part of
- 9:27Speaker 2: the deal that they remove Colbert. So he's saying he
- 9:30Speaker 2: was fired for political reasons. But actually if he never
- 9:34Speaker 2: mentioned politics, he would still be fired for having the
- 9:36Speaker 2: lowest ratings ever. In fact, in January or last month,
- 9:41Speaker 2: last month, he sent an all time record lowest ratings
- 9:44Speaker 2: in the history of late night television, all time record. Now,
- 9:48Speaker 2: normally that would get you fired. He's had terrible ratings
- 9:51Speaker 2: for a couple of years. Now, what's going to happen
- 9:52Speaker 2: when they take him off the air? Most likely CBS
- 9:55Speaker 2: will not replace it with a talk show. They'll put
- 9:58Speaker 2: something else on. They'll put a game show reruns or
- 10:02Speaker 2: some kind of reruns. Now, remember remember Kimmel was taken
- 10:05Speaker 2: off the air for a week. Well, when that happened,
- 10:09Speaker 2: during that week, ABC put on reruns of Celebrity Password
- 10:15Speaker 2: and it got triple the ratings of Kimmel. It became
- 10:18Speaker 2: number one in late night. Triple the ratings of Kimmel
- 10:21Speaker 2: and it's a lot cheaper. It costs a lot of
- 10:23Speaker 2: money to do a late night talk show. You got
- 10:26Speaker 2: a band, you got an audience, you got a whole
- 10:28Speaker 2: bunch of people, you got twelve writers, you got one
- 10:31Speaker 2: hundred people on this step. It's a lot cheaper just
- 10:33Speaker 2: to throw a rerun into that time slot, which costs
- 10:36Speaker 2: you basically nothing, and you get triple the ratings. So
- 10:40Speaker 2: that's what CBS will do. So it'll help Kimmel a little.
- 10:44Speaker 2: He'll pick up some of that Colbert audience, but Kimmel
- 10:46Speaker 2: still has minuscule ratings, tiny ratings. Now, the other thing
- 10:50Speaker 2: is when the CBS goes to the reruns of the
- 10:53Speaker 2: game show and gets triple the ratings, which means a
- 10:55Speaker 2: lot more revenue because you can charge more for the
- 10:58Speaker 2: commercials with triple the ratings. You know, people over at
- 11:03Speaker 2: ABC you'll say, why don't we do that and get
- 11:07Speaker 2: triple the ratings and make a lot more revenue. What
- 11:09Speaker 2: do we need Kimmel for? So expect that this is
- 11:13Speaker 2: the beginning of the end of late night TV. Colbert
- 11:15Speaker 2: will go away. Remember they didn't re sign Kimmel to
- 11:19Speaker 2: a real contract, They just sign him to an extension.
- 11:21Speaker 2: A one year extension, so expect this to be Kimmel's
- 11:24Speaker 2: final year. Two. The Tonight Show, that's a little different.
- 11:28Speaker 2: It's it's hard to remove that. That is the uh,
- 11:33Speaker 2: the the whole, you know, gold standard of late night TV.
- 11:36Speaker 2: That's where it all began, The Tonight Show, Steve Allen,
- 11:39Speaker 2: Jack Parr, Johnny Carson, Jay Lennards. You can't just if
- 11:44Speaker 2: there's gonna be one thing standing, it'll be The Tonight Show.
- 11:47Speaker 2: And you know, one good thing about Fallon he doesn't
- 11:49Speaker 2: have to do politics. He can go back to just
- 11:51Speaker 2: being a comedian, which he's pretty good at. Hey, he's
- 11:53Speaker 2: speaking of CBS. The new woman in charge of CBS News,
- 11:57Speaker 2: Barry Weiss, did her town hall yesterday. The people there
- 12:00Speaker 2: are in mutiny. They're all upset, they're going crazy because
- 12:03Speaker 2: she's trying to fair and balance the place. She's trying
- 12:06Speaker 2: to get rid of the left wing total bias. The
- 12:09Speaker 2: CBS newspeople furious about that. But in the in the
- 12:13Speaker 2: town hall, she was pretty straightforward with them, and she said,
- 12:15Speaker 2: you're like, nobody's watching whatever you're doing. However great you
- 12:18Speaker 2: think it is, it's not working because ratings are way
- 12:21Speaker 2: way down. CBS News sixty minutes. The CBS Morning Show
- 12:25Speaker 2: is always in last place. It's a disaster. So she said,
- 12:29Speaker 2: you know, you're going to have to make these changes.
- 12:30Speaker 2: You can't keep doing what you're doing. It's bombing. Obviously
- 12:33Speaker 2: America doesn't like it. The public doesn't like it. And
- 12:36Speaker 2: she also told them right to their face in this
- 12:39Speaker 2: town hall, the public doesn't trust you anymore. And that's
- 12:43Speaker 2: you know, they always talk about the president's approval rating.
- 12:45Speaker 2: You hear that all the time, but they never mentioned
- 12:49Speaker 2: that news and journalists are now the lowest rated thing
- 12:53Speaker 2: on earth, the lowest rated thing on earth journalist. American
- 12:59Speaker 2: public does not trust mainstream news. Every poll shows mainsteam
- 13:04Speaker 2: press at an all time low with the public. It's
- 13:08Speaker 2: just disaster for them. Hey, you know, Billy Joel the
- 13:12Speaker 2: residency at Madison Square Garden once a month for ten years,
- 13:18Speaker 2: millions and millions and millions of people saw him. Now
- 13:21Speaker 2: the next one is coming, the next residency, Harry Styles,
- 13:26Speaker 2: and he's expected to really really break Billy Joel's record.
- 13:32Speaker 2: He's just announced thirty. This is for the residency, thirty
- 13:36Speaker 2: Carnegie Hall shows that Carnegill, Madison Square Garden, thirty Madison
- 13:41Speaker 2: Square Garden shows thirty Now. You know, if that were
- 13:45Speaker 2: Billy Joel, he'd have to do that over three years.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Harry Styles is going to do it. He's going to
- 13:49Speaker 2: do it over two months this summer, thirty shows. You
- 13:53Speaker 2: know how hard it is to sell out Madison Square Garden,
- 13:57Speaker 2: you know what a feet that is. And sometimes you
- 14:00Speaker 2: get a Sebastian Maniscalco who's so big that when he
- 14:04Speaker 2: comes in he'll do two shows a night at Madison
- 14:06Speaker 2: Square Garden, sell it out twice in one night. Sometimes
- 14:10Speaker 2: you get a guy who'll do two or three nights,
- 14:11Speaker 2: four nights, to do thirty nights in one little burst
- 14:16Speaker 2: at Madison Square Garden's incredible feat. Harry Styles will do
- 14:20Speaker 2: it this summer. Make a fortune. You know, if you're
- 14:22Speaker 2: a big star and you go on tour, it's great.
- 14:26Speaker 2: You're in Paris, you're in London, you're in Hong Kong.
- 14:29Speaker 2: It's amazing to be on this world. But it's a
- 14:32Speaker 2: pain in the neck and airports and planes and hotels
- 14:36Speaker 2: and it's awful just group to be able to just
- 14:39Speaker 2: stay in your own city. That's why Billy Joel loved it.
- 14:43Speaker 2: You just like a regular job. You just commute from
- 14:45Speaker 2: your house. It's very easy. Now, do you know who
- 14:48Speaker 2: is the first singer ever to sell out Madison Square Garden,
- 14:53Speaker 2: Madison Square Garden, the current Madison Square Garden. I mean,
- 14:57Speaker 2: that's a major thing for one guy to just sell
- 14:59Speaker 2: out the the whole place, one singer. It was in
- 15:02Speaker 2: the late sixties. First time they ever had a singer sellout.
- 15:06Speaker 2: It was Bing Crosby. Believe it or not, Bing Crosby
- 15:09Speaker 2: was still alive and well. And now you remember Crosby
- 15:13Speaker 2: in the middle of the twentieth century, the thirties, forties
- 15:16Speaker 2: into the fifties, was the biggest singer in the world,
- 15:19Speaker 2: biggest star in the world. It couldn't be any bigger.
- 15:22Speaker 2: But by the sixties it wasn't the same anymore. But
- 15:25Speaker 2: he was the first singer to play Madison Square Garden
- 15:28Speaker 2: by himself and actually actually sell it out. Hey, we'll
- 15:31Speaker 2: get to Minnesota. We'll get all the latest on it
- 15:34Speaker 2: in a few minutes. We'll take some calls. Next. Eight
- 15:36Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven to ten.
- 15:44Speaker 1: You're ahead of the game just for being here. He
- 15:48Speaker 1: s marks a moone on sevent tenor.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Hey, we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:57Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number, eight hundred two to
- 16:00Speaker 2: one zero seven to ten. Let's go to Stuart in
- 16:03Speaker 2: South Carolina. Stuart, how you doing?
- 16:06Speaker 6: Hey, Mark car are you you know? I just want
- 16:08Speaker 6: to clarify one thing. Many of these Border Patrol agents
- 16:11Speaker 6: and ICE agents, as I mentioned to you once before,
- 16:15Speaker 6: that many of these are hardened veteran cops. My son
- 16:20Speaker 6: just got a tentative offer from Border Patrol this morning.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Stuart. You're a longtime policeman, law enforcement guy.
- 16:28Speaker 6: Almost fifty years.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:30Speaker 6: Yeah, my son. Between my son and myself we have
- 16:32Speaker 6: over sixty years. He worked inner city, has been a
- 16:36Speaker 6: fatal shooting. He knows, you know, what's going on in
- 16:40Speaker 6: inner cities. And a lot of these Border Patrol agents
- 16:43Speaker 6: are like him. They are hiring from hardened veteran police officers.
- 16:49Speaker 6: So it's not like, you know, they've been in Border
- 16:51Speaker 6: Patrol their entire lives and don't know how to deal
- 16:54Speaker 6: with But Stuart, let.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Me let me ask you a question. The shooting. I
- 16:57Speaker 2: can understand how that happens. The guy shouldn't have been
- 16:59Speaker 2: there with were gonna ask me this? I just I'm
- 17:02Speaker 2: looking at that shooting. It doesn't look justified to me.
- 17:05Speaker 6: You know, my son and I had a conversation about
- 17:07Speaker 6: this this morning, and I wasn't there. So my response
- 17:11Speaker 6: is tentative. I would tend to agree with you. You know,
- 17:17Speaker 6: the guy what had gotten a broken rib a week
- 17:19Speaker 6: before fighting police, so you know, you know what his
- 17:23Speaker 6: mindset was. And I wasn't there. You know, you can
- 17:26Speaker 6: look at the videos, you can have an opinion, but
- 17:29Speaker 6: I just wasn't there. And as a police officer, I
- 17:31Speaker 6: have to have all the facts, and I just don't
- 17:33Speaker 6: have them.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Okay, but the rene good one. I've talked to like
- 17:37Speaker 2: some of our smartest police officials, and they've all said,
- 17:41Speaker 2: off the record, it's a totally legal, justified shooting. But
- 17:46Speaker 2: he didn't have to shoot. He could have, yeah, you know,
- 17:48Speaker 2: could have catch your two blocks away and then get her.
- 17:51Speaker 6: But you know, when it comes to the actual shooting
- 17:54Speaker 6: in the facts, that's one thing. But you have to
- 17:56Speaker 6: also remember, these guys are under assault every single day.
- 18:00Speaker 6: I'm a Vietnam vet, and I'm going to tell you
- 18:02Speaker 6: every single day, when you're under fire, it really gets
- 18:05Speaker 6: to you mentally. Yeah, it really doesn't. And these guys
- 18:09Speaker 6: every single day, Mark, are under fire.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, he's not there to shoot somebody, but
- 18:15Speaker 2: you can get into a kind of a panic no
- 18:17Speaker 2: matter what in those situations.
- 18:19Speaker 6: Yeah, it's not a panic, it's just you know, you're
- 18:21Speaker 6: just tired. I mean, you're just so tired every day.
- 18:24Speaker 6: And like you said, the Minneapolis police have been called back.
- 18:29Speaker 6: They're being held back. And it's not that the street officers,
- 18:33Speaker 6: you know, don't want to help. They do, but the
- 18:35Speaker 6: administration has been so bastardized by the politicians that they
- 18:40Speaker 6: just don't They're not doing anything. And that's that's creating
- 18:44Speaker 6: a lot of this problem because you have that secondary
- 18:46Speaker 6: backup to protect the Ice agents and border patrol, and
- 18:49Speaker 6: it's just not there.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Well, a lot of people believe the police were deliberately
- 18:53Speaker 2: held back with the strategy. Work with strategy, with strategy,
- 18:57Speaker 2: knowing that chaos. All right, do a great call. Thanks
- 19:01Speaker 2: for calling. Let's go to Shana in Long Island. Shana,
- 19:05Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 19:06Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark. I have a question about this Ashley
- 19:10Speaker 7: Babbit shooting. Yes, the Trump administration has been in office
- 19:15Speaker 7: now a year. Why aren't they prosecuting Michael Bird? They
- 19:19Speaker 7: have proof that he shot her without cause.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Well, I know they're looking at it, and people have
- 19:26Speaker 2: talked to him about it. But this Michael Bird was
- 19:28Speaker 2: the cop who, for no reason it all, shot Ashley Babbitt.
- 19:31Speaker 2: She wasn't confronting him. She was fifteen twenty feet away.
- 19:34Speaker 2: He just shot her as she was coming through the window.
- 19:36Speaker 2: He's a bad cop. He's got a history of using
- 19:39Speaker 2: his gun recklessly. There was an earlier incident where in
- 19:42Speaker 2: his house he was just firing out the window at cars.
- 19:45Speaker 2: He's got a bad history. I know they're looking at
- 19:47Speaker 2: him and everybody's getting impatient, but it's a good question.
- 19:51Speaker 2: It's just not front burner stuff. I think that's the problem.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Let's go to Bill in Pennsylvania. Bill, how you doing?
- 19:58Speaker 8: Are you doing?
- 19:58Speaker 9: Mark? Just got a question here about what is your
- 20:03Speaker 9: excuse for Errol Lewis on New York One, he's a
- 20:08Speaker 9: pain in.
- 20:08Speaker 2: The Eron Lewis on New York One, he's the most
- 20:11Speaker 2: left wing biased partisan. He's a very nice guy in
- 20:14Speaker 2: real life. I used to work with him. He's a
- 20:15Speaker 2: very nice guy. But a lot of that's a lot
- 20:18Speaker 2: of these people. They're very nice people. They go on
- 20:20Speaker 2: the air and they become crazy left wing.
- 20:22Speaker 8: I talked to him in the past, but you know.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Hey, what are you gonna do. He's a crazy left
- 20:28Speaker 2: wing guy. He's very partisan. I mean, you should try
- 20:31Speaker 2: to get it under control on the air, but he doesn't.
- 20:34Speaker 9: Him all over the place.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but I remember it's.
- 20:37Speaker 8: He's coming down from Mount ever Mount air Raft.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Well, that's what he believes. He's a nice guy. He's
- 20:44Speaker 2: a little crazy politically, and he's very very left wing.
- 20:47Speaker 2: But that's New York One. Nowadays. They went really far
- 20:50Speaker 2: to the left as soon as Trump came in. I
- 20:52Speaker 2: used to work in New York One, but when they
- 20:54Speaker 2: went to when Trump came in, they decided to go
- 20:56Speaker 2: real far to the left. It hasn't paid off. Viewership
- 21:00Speaker 2: is way way down there. Let's go to h Jerry
- 21:03Speaker 2: in Greenwich. Jerry, how you.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Doing very well?
- 21:06Speaker 8: Thank you Mark for taking my call. Just all these
- 21:10Speaker 8: demo gods, whether they're a politician or regular people that
- 21:14Speaker 8: they hite America. They started saying that they're sorry that
- 21:18Speaker 8: they're voted for Trump. I mean, it's it's ridiculous.
- 21:22Speaker 10: You know.
- 21:22Speaker 8: They want to start the new lye.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Yep, do we lose Jerry?
- 21:30Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 21:30Speaker 2: Oh, Okay, all right, thanks Jerry. Let's go to uh,
- 21:33Speaker 2: Chris and Beth Page again. Chris, how you doing?
- 21:37Speaker 4: Hey, Mark good, I'm sorry, I just tuned in. Did
- 21:40Speaker 4: you talk about that elon Omar thing that happened last
- 21:43Speaker 4: night that we didn't.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Get to that yet. It's a two hour show. We
- 21:46Speaker 2: don't do everything at the first segment. Give me a
- 21:49Speaker 2: chance to get to it. She's under investigation now, we'll
- 21:53Speaker 2: get to it in the next hour. That's a great story.
- 21:56Speaker 2: They're really going to take a look at her. She's
- 21:58Speaker 2: comes to this country without a penny. She's totally broke.
- 22:02Speaker 2: She gets elected to Congress. Now that doesn't pay too much.
- 22:05Speaker 2: It's a you know, civil servant job, and she's suddenly
- 22:09Speaker 2: worth forty four million dollars. Now there's an investigation to
- 22:12Speaker 2: see how the hell that happened and the prey. We'll
- 22:16Speaker 2: get to it in the next hour. Even the President
- 22:17Speaker 2: Trump wanting to take a look at that. Hey, when
- 22:20Speaker 2: we come back. The best legal analyst in the world,
- 22:23Speaker 2: and we'll talk to him about Minnesota, about all of this.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Greg Jarrett coming up next on seven to ten woor
- 22:29Speaker 2: we're listening to, Well, here's the best legal analyst on Earth,
- 22:37Speaker 2: Greg Jarrett, and make sure you get his books The
- 22:40Speaker 2: Constitution and Other Patriotic Documents, Great Book and Trial of
- 22:45Speaker 2: the Century. All of his books. Greg Jarrett's books are
- 22:48Speaker 2: on Amazon. Of course, you can see them all over
- 22:51Speaker 2: Fox News and his columns at foxnews dot com. Greg Jarrett,
- 22:55Speaker 2: how you doing, hi.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Mark, Thanks for having me on.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Well, where do we even start? Minnesota? You know, the
- 23:06Speaker 2: police refused to maintain order there, keep the protesters separate
- 23:09Speaker 2: from the cops. But the president, if he wanted to,
- 23:13Speaker 2: could actually send in the military to do that, couldn't he?
- 23:17Speaker 9: Oh?
- 23:17Speaker 2: Absolutely he could.
- 23:19Speaker 4: And in fact Justice Kavanaugh in a recent opinion pointed
- 23:25Speaker 4: that out that the president has Article two authority that's
- 23:29Speaker 4: inherent and has other statutes, and he surely meant the
- 23:34Speaker 4: Insurrection Act to send in troops to Minneapolis, stop the
- 23:40Speaker 4: attacks on federal agents, the attacks on federal property. And
- 23:45Speaker 4: throughout history we have seen fifteen presidents invoke the Insurrection
- 23:51Speaker 4: Act under similar circumstances. The president has the power. I
- 23:55Speaker 4: did write in a recent column blaming the president's power
- 24:02Speaker 4: that you know, Minnesota may not be quite near the
- 24:06Speaker 4: standard for riots and destruction that would justify such a move. Uh,
- 24:13Speaker 4: you know, calling in federal troops could incite more protests,
- 24:18Speaker 4: and you know, having the power to act is always tempting,
- 24:23Speaker 4: But wisdom is often found in restraint, and I think
- 24:27Speaker 4: the President has exercised that. He's attempting to defuse the
- 24:33Speaker 4: situation there. He's made some changes in the leadership on
- 24:38Speaker 4: sight in Minnesota and pulling back some of the ICE
- 24:42Speaker 4: and Border Patrol personnel, mostly because you know, they've accomplished
- 24:50Speaker 4: a lot of what they intended to do there, so
- 24:54Speaker 4: you know, sort of time to move on. But you know,
- 24:57Speaker 4: as far as all of the violence that has taken
- 25:01Speaker 4: place there, Tim Wall, the governor, Jacob Fry, the mayor,
- 25:05Speaker 4: they bear blame. I mean, they embraced sanctuary status for
- 25:10Speaker 4: criminal aliens, they refuse to cooperate with ICE. Then they
- 25:14Speaker 4: publicly in front of cameras, gin up the street rage
- 25:18Speaker 4: against federal law enforcement and not only fuel the agitators
- 25:24Speaker 4: and the anarchists to grass and impede and even get
- 25:28Speaker 4: into fights with ICE agents. I mean, what did the
- 25:33Speaker 4: mayor and governor think was going to happen? Inevitably? You know,
- 25:36Speaker 4: somebody armed was going to show up and bloodshed would ensue.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Are these even protesters? The protesters the guy standing over
- 25:43Speaker 2: there with a sign yelling. But when you physically try
- 25:46Speaker 2: to stop law enforcement operation, where you physically go into
- 25:49Speaker 2: a church and try to interrupt the service, that's no
- 25:51Speaker 2: longer protesting. That's beyond protesting.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Yeah, obviously. And you know, look, it's always a terrible
- 25:59Speaker 4: idea to show up at a law enforcement operation and
- 26:04Speaker 4: blowing whistles and harassing with a gun stuffed in your
- 26:09Speaker 4: waist belt, and then you know, actively injecting yourself by
- 26:17Speaker 4: interfering with the officers, resisting arrest, trying to you know,
- 26:23Speaker 4: subdue another protester, I mean, getting into a physical fight
- 26:26Speaker 4: with agents. Bad idea. When you do that, terrible things
- 26:32Speaker 4: can happen because it's a crime to obstruct officers who
- 26:36Speaker 4: are doing their jobs.
- 26:39Speaker 2: That's an important point. If you pull your car in
- 26:41Speaker 2: the middle of the street and block them from moving,
- 26:44Speaker 2: or if they're trying to do something and you try
- 26:46Speaker 2: to stop the operation, that is actually a crime, right there,
- 26:49Speaker 2: isn't it.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Yeah, it absolutely is. You're obstructing justice, s obstructing law enforcement.
- 26:58Speaker 4: You are arguably engaging in an assault and battery of
- 27:02Speaker 4: a law enforcement official. It's a variety of crimes. And
- 27:06Speaker 4: you know, Mark, you bring up the church protests, you know,
- 27:11Speaker 4: the right to protest does not extend to private property,
- 27:16Speaker 4: and it certainly does not extend to churches. They are
- 27:20Speaker 4: protected spaces by law. So the mob that stormed the
- 27:25Speaker 4: church and terrorized and tormented the congregation, they can and
- 27:31Speaker 4: should be prosecuted for a variety of crimes, including trustpath
- 27:35Speaker 4: disorderly conduct, but most importantly violating what's known as the
- 27:40Speaker 4: Face Act. It is a civil rights law that strictly
- 27:46Speaker 4: protects houses of worship from threats and intimidation here against Christians.
- 27:53Speaker 4: And you know, Don Lemon could also be prosecuted as
- 27:58Speaker 4: a willing participant hit himself with the mob, knowing full
- 28:03Speaker 4: well that they intended to commit crimes by invading the church.
- 28:08Speaker 4: And you know, just calling yourself a journalist is not
- 28:12Speaker 4: a defense, and the First Amendment is not a shield
- 28:15Speaker 4: from criminal charges.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Now, some of the protesters argue the church is open
- 28:20Speaker 2: to the public. Anybody's allowed to come in, but you're
- 28:24Speaker 2: not allowed to distop it or stop the service.
- 28:27Speaker 4: That is correct, and you know it's private property. They
- 28:33Speaker 4: have their rules, worshipers are welcome, but these were not worshipers.
- 28:38Speaker 4: This was a mob who you know, decided to trespass
- 28:43Speaker 4: out of that property, halt the service of people worshiping.
- 28:51Speaker 4: And that's, as I say, a violation of the Face
- 28:54Speaker 4: Act and a companion statute eighteen USC. Two forty seven
- 28:59Speaker 4: in the Criminal Code.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Hey, when guys like you say, you know it's about
- 29:03Speaker 2: law eighteen c. Two seventy four, how do you guys
- 29:05Speaker 2: remember that? How do you remember all these numbers? That's
- 29:07Speaker 2: an incredible feat.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Oh, I don't know. You learn some of it in
- 29:12Speaker 4: law school, others in the practice of law. But you know, here,
- 29:18Speaker 4: I knew there was a law. I'm when it happened.
- 29:20Speaker 4: I you know, looked it up and it's right there
- 29:23Speaker 4: and plain English.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Well, and there's some people in the president's ear now
- 29:27Speaker 2: telling them pull out of Minnesota. Just announce, just call
- 29:31Speaker 2: their bluffs that we're leaving Minnesota. We're pulling out completely.
- 29:34Speaker 2: You can have all your illegals. Let's see how this
- 29:36Speaker 2: works out for you. But that's not a good idea,
- 29:39Speaker 2: is it. It would just encourage the rioters.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Well, rioters and protesters don't get veto power over federal
- 29:48Speaker 4: law enforcement, and neither do states. So the question becomes
- 29:54Speaker 4: have we done enough? And I don't know what the
- 29:58Speaker 4: percentage is, but I somewhere around seventy percent of their
- 30:02Speaker 4: objectives have been accomplished. So it's time to scale back,
- 30:07Speaker 4: and that's reasonable. They did that in Los Angeles. They
- 30:12Speaker 4: had achieved what they wanted to achieve for the most part,
- 30:15Speaker 4: so they reduced their operations and their personnel. Makes perfect sense.
- 30:21Speaker 2: And now the federal government, their law enforcement, their troops.
- 30:25Speaker 2: They're legally entitled to enter a city and do whatever
- 30:27Speaker 2: they have to do. Correct the federal law overtakes the
- 30:31Speaker 2: local law.
- 30:33Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, it's the supremacy clause. And you know federal
- 30:39Speaker 4: law supersede state law whenever there is a conflict. So
- 30:43Speaker 4: you know, for example, the state has hauled off and
- 30:47Speaker 4: you know, file a lawsuit to evict all Ice from Minnesota. Well,
- 30:54Speaker 4: you know, they're idiots if they think the law supports that,
- 30:57Speaker 4: because it doesn't. As I said before, you know, states
- 31:01Speaker 4: don't get to dictate what the federal government does in
- 31:05Speaker 4: terms of law enforcement. The supremacy Clause of the Constitution
- 31:10Speaker 4: makes that abundantly clear, and the US Supreme Court has
- 31:13Speaker 4: consistently upheld the supremacy clause and the right of federal authority.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Yeah, well, Greg Jarrett, great stuff. Mcgett's books. By the way,
- 31:24Speaker 2: I love Trial of the Century. It's one of the
- 31:26Speaker 2: best books. And the latest book is The Constitution Other
- 31:30Speaker 2: Patriotic Documents. Are you working on a new book?
- 31:34Speaker 4: No, I'm taking a break, Palell. Writing books is an
- 31:37Speaker 4: onerous process, and I deserve a break after.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Four books, I know, but we deserve another book. They're
- 31:44Speaker 2: all great books, and just go to Amazon. Thank you.
- 31:47Speaker 2: I appreciate it. You can get Greg Jarret's books and
- 31:50Speaker 2: read his columns, and of course Foxnews and foxnews dot Com.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Great stuff, Greg Jarrett, thanks for being with us. My pleasure. Mark,
- 31:57Speaker 2: Take care, take care. It is a very tough thing
- 32:01Speaker 2: to write a book. I've been trying to do it
- 32:03Speaker 2: for years. I think I got so far half a page.
- 32:07Speaker 2: It's really I don't know how anybody does it. I
- 32:11Speaker 2: know got people that are best selling authors. This is
- 32:13Speaker 2: what they do all day, but they somehow are able
- 32:15Speaker 2: to lock themselves in a room for like six hours
- 32:18Speaker 2: a day, sitting there at the keyboard, hour after hour
- 32:21Speaker 2: after hour. Anyway, we got a lot coming up in
- 32:24Speaker 2: the next hour. We'll get to Hey, it's it's like
- 32:29Speaker 2: boycott season. They're left now trying to boycott stuff and
- 32:32Speaker 2: Amazon some big changes we get told of that coming up.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Hey at noon today, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis, you'll
- 32:38Speaker 2: love their show noon to three. Then you got the
- 32:40Speaker 2: most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity three o'clock.
- 32:45Speaker 2: You got Jesse Kelly at six. And we got a
- 32:47Speaker 2: great show here every night now at nine o'clock, Jimmy
- 32:50Speaker 2: Fayala every night at nine on seven to ten, WR.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Give wor Bri said on the iHeartRadio app to hear
- 32:58Speaker 1: Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in an instance.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Now back to the Marximo Show on wor.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Well, freezing cold all this week's ridiculous weather. We'll continue
- 33:11Speaker 2: through the weekend. Now on Sunday, there's a chance of
- 33:14Speaker 2: a snowstorm. You know, they got these two models, weather
- 33:17Speaker 2: models they use. One it's moving this storm now, it
- 33:22Speaker 2: could turn towards us, or it could turn away, depending
- 33:25Speaker 2: on the model. If it turns away, you might get
- 33:27Speaker 2: a little dusting of snow. If it turns towards us,
- 33:31Speaker 2: you could get another blizzard, another nor'easter on Sunday. I
- 33:36Speaker 2: know I know it's hard to believe, but hey, we
- 33:38Speaker 2: went to three four winters without any snow, so we're due.
- 33:44Speaker 2: But anyway, we've got a lot to get to in
- 33:45Speaker 2: the next hour, so stay with us and don't forget it.
- 33:50Speaker 2: If you can't listen live, if ten to noon doesn't
- 33:52Speaker 2: work for you, or you miss a day or you
- 33:54Speaker 2: miss an hour, you can always get the podcast. You
- 33:57Speaker 2: can hear this show anytime you want. Just get the
- 33:59Speaker 2: post wherever you get podcasts. Back after the News on
- 34:03Speaker 2: seven to ten WR.
- 34:05Speaker 1: News breaks out in every show, Mark Simone on seven
- 34:10Speaker 1: ten wor.
- 34:15Speaker 2: The Country Going Crazy, the Left Wing Going Crazy list
- 34:18Speaker 2: and they hate Trump Trump arrangement syndrome, they call it.
- 34:22Speaker 2: It started in the first term. You know, they loved
- 34:25Speaker 2: him before. You know, remember Donald Trump was a regular
- 34:28Speaker 2: guest on the View. They fawned all over him, a letterman,
- 34:32Speaker 2: a fallon, even Colbert. There's a I noticed CBS took
- 34:35Speaker 2: it down off the web page. But there was a
- 34:38Speaker 2: time where Colbert was fawning all over Trump when he
- 34:42Speaker 2: was a guest. This is when he was going to
- 34:43Speaker 2: run and they thought he had no chance. Once he
- 34:46Speaker 2: actually won and everything changed. And then remember the Russia
- 34:49Speaker 2: hoax and one thing after another after another after another.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Then he finally leaves after four years, and then the
- 34:55Speaker 2: guys back and they go nuttier than ever. It's only
- 34:58Speaker 2: the first year the Trump administration. It's only one year,
- 35:03Speaker 2: so imagine two years from now how crazy they'll get. Now.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Apparently in Minnesota, the Border Patrol is leaving, but there's
- 35:12Speaker 2: a hotel where they were staying, and these protesters descended
- 35:16Speaker 2: on the hotel where the border patrol was staying and
- 35:18Speaker 2: started going crazy, rioting they're in the hotel. That caused
- 35:21Speaker 2: they had to be arrested. And when they arrested these people,
- 35:24Speaker 2: they found out they had incredible criminal records, these protesters.
- 35:28Speaker 2: And then last night in Manhattan, a lot of protesters
- 35:34Speaker 2: went down to the Hilton, not the one here, not
- 35:38Speaker 2: the big one in Midtown. There's one in Tribeca. I
- 35:40Speaker 2: think it's called the Hilton Garden, Hotel Garden and something
- 35:44Speaker 2: like that. So the protesters went down there because of
- 35:48Speaker 2: ICE agents in there, and the protesters went into the
- 35:52Speaker 2: lobby and caused total chaos, yelling and screaming. Police had
- 35:56Speaker 2: to be called. Protesters went absolutely nuts. It was scary
- 36:01Speaker 2: for anybody in the hotel. These out of control, raging protesters.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Police showed up and got them and then had to
- 36:08Speaker 2: explain to them that there's no ice in this hotel.
- 36:12Speaker 2: There's no ice staying here. There was never any ice
- 36:15Speaker 2: staying here. This hotel has nothing to do with ice.
- 36:18Speaker 2: So they're just going crazy. Now there's apparently this is
- 36:22Speaker 2: going a viral in left wing land online and blue
- 36:27Speaker 2: Sky and all those places, the boycott of Chipotle because
- 36:32Speaker 2: Chipotle gave fifteen thousand dollars to Ice. Now this is
- 36:37Speaker 2: absolutely false. It never happened, but this word gets out
- 36:41Speaker 2: and another trying to boycott Chipotle. Now, the only thing
- 36:46Speaker 2: we could link to this is Bill Ackman, the hedge
- 36:49Speaker 2: fund billionaire. You know, there was a GoFundMe page for
- 36:53Speaker 2: that officer that had to stop Renee good Bill Ackman
- 36:58Speaker 2: donated fifteen to that go fundme for the officer and
- 37:02Speaker 2: his family. He was going to also donate the same
- 37:05Speaker 2: amount to Renee Goods family, but they already shut down
- 37:08Speaker 2: their GoFundMe page, so that's the only reason he couldn't.
- 37:12Speaker 2: But they at one time, a long time ago, Bill
- 37:15Speaker 2: Ackman bought a ton of stock in Chipotle and got
- 37:19Speaker 2: to the board of directors at Chipotle. He owned a
- 37:22Speaker 2: nice chunk of the company, but that was years ago.
- 37:24Speaker 2: He had nothing to do with the company this. Remember,
- 37:27Speaker 2: Chipotle had a big crisis and the stock plunged down
- 37:29Speaker 2: to nothing. That's when Ackman bought a ton of it,
- 37:32Speaker 2: and eventually Chipotle recovered. This is years ago and became
- 37:36Speaker 2: a big booming stock again, and Ackman sold and took
- 37:39Speaker 2: the profit. For years, he's had nothing to do with Chipotle.
- 37:42Speaker 2: So the boycott is all wrong, although we might not
- 37:47Speaker 2: want to stomp it, because I gotta be honest. I
- 37:49Speaker 2: love this, I love Chipotle, But do you go to
- 37:51Speaker 2: the one over here on the corner. The line is
- 37:53Speaker 2: too long. Maybe a little boycott that'd be easy to
- 37:56Speaker 2: go in there. But now the other thing is that
- 37:59Speaker 2: Tim Cook, CEO of Apple. On Saturday was in the
- 38:03Speaker 2: White House. They had the premiere of the Milania documentary.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Everybody says it's really good, the Milania documentary. It'll be
- 38:10Speaker 2: in theaters. I think it opens Friday. You know, most
- 38:15Speaker 2: people don't want to go to a movie theater anymore.
- 38:16Speaker 2: But it'll start streaming on Amazon, so you'll get to
- 38:19Speaker 2: see it. But they had a big premiere Saturday, night
- 38:22Speaker 2: in Washington, DC. And by the way, they had the
- 38:24Speaker 2: same snowstorm and everything on Sunday in Washington. But a
- 38:28Speaker 2: lot of VIPs were at this big movie premiere, including
- 38:31Speaker 2: Tim Cook, and they put the pictures out of the
- 38:35Speaker 2: party afterwards with people on the red carpet with Mlanie,
- 38:38Speaker 2: And there was a picture Tim Cook you could see
- 38:40Speaker 2: him there posing with Mlanie. Well, apparently Apple employees are
- 38:44Speaker 2: going nuts, going absolutely insane, yelling and screaming. Tim Cook
- 38:50Speaker 2: had to put out a whole statement for his Apple employees.
- 38:54Speaker 2: I'm heartbroken by the events in Minneapolis. My prayers, you know,
- 38:58Speaker 2: trying to make up for just going to a movie
- 39:00Speaker 2: from Hey, it's the White House, it's the President United States.
- 39:03Speaker 2: You're allowed to go there. So some people, non Apple employees,
- 39:07Speaker 2: they're talking about boycotting Apple. Yeah, good luck with that.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Good luck with that. What are you going to do
- 39:14Speaker 2: for a watch? What are you going to do for
- 39:15Speaker 2: a phone? You're going to go to a Samsung, a Galaxy.
- 39:18Speaker 2: It's not the same. You'll be back, You'll be back.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Hey Amazon, Speaking of Amazon, they're about to lay off
- 39:28Speaker 2: a lot of people. Up to twenty thousand people will
- 39:31Speaker 2: get laid off. Actually, One of the reasons is everything's
- 39:35Speaker 2: changing with Amazon. You know, it's an incredibly complex business
- 39:40Speaker 2: being able to be the fulfillment house for the world.
- 39:43Speaker 2: No matter what you want to buy, you order from Amazon,
- 39:45Speaker 2: and they have an incredible, unbelievable amount of logistics on
- 39:49Speaker 2: how to deliver it to you. But these layoffs are
- 39:54Speaker 2: going to be among management because it looks like nearly
- 39:57Speaker 2: ten percent of their workforce isn't eventually going to get
- 40:00Speaker 2: laid off because you can replace a lot of this
- 40:03Speaker 2: with AI. AI can do a lot of the work
- 40:05Speaker 2: these guys do. I mean, you can't replace the actual
- 40:08Speaker 2: guys on the warehouse. And well, although you know they
- 40:11Speaker 2: have kind of they have now kind of automated robots
- 40:14Speaker 2: that pick out all the stuff in the warehouse and
- 40:16Speaker 2: put it in one place, but you still got to
- 40:18Speaker 2: have delivery guys, although eventually you might get it delivered
- 40:23Speaker 2: by a driverless car or a drone. But so ten
- 40:26Speaker 2: percent of a corporate workforce across Amazon probably will go
- 40:33Speaker 2: now they're being replaced by AI. Now. The other thing
- 40:35Speaker 2: is ups UPS is about to cut thirty thousand people.
- 40:42Speaker 2: That's huge. Thirty thousand people are going to massive layoff
- 40:45Speaker 2: at UPS they're also closing facilities. They just close twenty
- 40:50Speaker 2: four buildings or they're about to close twenty four buildings.
- 40:54Speaker 2: They close ninety three buildings last year. Now, why is
- 40:57Speaker 2: UPS laying off so many people and shrink They lost
- 41:01Speaker 2: the partnership with Amazon. They were that was their main
- 41:04Speaker 2: thing Amazon partner. They were a major major delivery service
- 41:09Speaker 2: for Amazon. That's ending. Amazon is getting rid of UPS.
- 41:14Speaker 2: So that's why UPS looks like they're going to probably
- 41:17Speaker 2: have to shrink themselves way down. Another reason for this
- 41:21Speaker 2: is Amazon wants to deliver it all themselves. They can
- 41:24Speaker 2: save money. Obviously, if you use UPS, you're gonna split
- 41:27Speaker 2: some of the profit with them. Amazon has figured out
- 41:30Speaker 2: slowly but surely how to do everything themselves. The other
- 41:34Speaker 2: Amazon partners are FedEx and the postal Service, but expect
- 41:39Speaker 2: them to eventually be cut out. Amazon to take over
- 41:43Speaker 2: all of that. Al Roker, hey, I didn't realize this.
- 41:47Speaker 2: He had a big anniversary Tuesday, thirty years on the
- 41:50Speaker 2: Today Show. The whole show was a celebration of Al Roker.
- 41:54Speaker 2: People ask him if he's going to retire. He said,
- 41:56Speaker 2: I have not thought about retirement. He then went on
- 42:01Speaker 2: to say, I don't know somebody at NBC might have
- 42:03Speaker 2: thought about it, but I haven't thought about it. So
- 42:05Speaker 2: you know, he remember who did he replace? You remember
- 42:08Speaker 2: Al Roker joined the Today Show nineteen ninety six. That's right,
- 42:12Speaker 2: Willard Scott and Willard Scott had been there for years.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Today's Show has been on since nineteen fifty two. I
- 42:20Speaker 2: think that's the second longest running show in television history.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Meet the Press would be first. It started like nineteen
- 42:26Speaker 2: forty eight or something. But the Today Show, they've been
- 42:29Speaker 2: through a lot of big names, a lot of big names.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Remember Brant Gumbele and Jane Pauley, and before that it
- 42:35Speaker 2: was Barbara Walters and Hugh Downs. I remember one point
- 42:38Speaker 2: it was Joe gahres Yola. You remember that name, Joe
- 42:40Speaker 2: Garresilo give Garagiola whatever his name was, and who else
- 42:47Speaker 2: it was after Brian go Oh, they were Tom broke
- 42:49Speaker 2: Off for years was the host of the Today Show.
- 42:52Speaker 2: So hey, By the way, that picture of Alex Pretty,
- 42:57Speaker 2: the nurse who was shot, Apparently NBC, not NBC ms
- 43:03Speaker 2: now MSNBC got kicked out of NBC s there's nothing
- 43:08Speaker 2: to do with NBC ms NOW formerly MSNBC. Apparently they
- 43:12Speaker 2: doctored his picture. If you go to my Twitter, you
- 43:15Speaker 2: can see what they did. They took the picture of
- 43:17Speaker 2: Preddy and they really made him look a lot better.
- 43:19Speaker 2: They changed his jawline, they changed his skin, they changed everything.
- 43:24Speaker 2: It's like, you know, you can have AI fix up
- 43:26Speaker 2: your face and make you look much much better. So
- 43:28Speaker 2: they doctored the picture of Preddy to make him look
- 43:32Speaker 2: much more handsome. And I mean, that's ms NOW for you.
- 43:36Speaker 2: It's just total. You know, they've been caught a lot
- 43:39Speaker 2: of times doctoring stuff, but that was pretty blatant. Hey,
- 43:42Speaker 2: speaking of Milania Trump, she was at the Stock Exchange
- 43:45Speaker 2: this morning, rang the opening bell just to celebrate the
- 43:49Speaker 2: film opening. The FED at two o'clock today will announce
- 43:54Speaker 2: their decision. Everybody expects it'll be no rate change at all,
- 43:59Speaker 2: no rage age.
- 44:01Speaker 4: Uh.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Tom Homan is still in Minnesota. You gotta give Homan credit.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Speaking of that MS Now, Mika Morning, Joe, those clowns,
- 44:08Speaker 2: Homan goes on with them, They try to confront him,
- 44:11Speaker 2: they try to beat him up. Homan fights back. Listen
- 44:13Speaker 2: to him.
- 44:14Speaker 5: I've done this show several times. Every time on your show,
- 44:17Speaker 5: I speak with integrity, I speak with honesty.
- 44:19Speaker 2: And I speak with facts. The bottom line is because.
- 44:22Speaker 5: Of all this faustive and you used the term disappearing
- 44:25Speaker 5: people discussing the group citizen US citizens. US citizens get
- 44:34Speaker 5: arrested every day. You and citizens get rested by priests
- 44:37Speaker 5: every day. Are they being disappeared? Their laws are being
- 44:41Speaker 5: They're being arrested, They're being put in attention because they
- 44:44Speaker 5: committed a criminalizl.
- 44:46Speaker 3: Like what you're doing.
- 44:48Speaker 5: We're enforcing the law and arresting people here in violational
- 44:51Speaker 5: law that public states to trust.
- 44:53Speaker 2: That's not disappearing people.
- 44:54Speaker 5: That's enforcing the laws of this country and make this
- 44:57Speaker 5: country safer.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know what the only wants to go
- 45:00Speaker 2: on that show for and argue with her. Trump yesterday
- 45:04Speaker 2: in Iowa. He's going to be touring the country now
- 45:07Speaker 2: leading up to the midterm, so'll be probably in a
- 45:09Speaker 2: different city every week. He's in Iowa yesterday talking about
- 45:13Speaker 2: all sorts of stuff. And I'm trying to see, Yeah,
- 45:19Speaker 2: affordability this you know, everything has gotten better under Donald Trump.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Inflation prices, gas prices, everything way way, way way down.
- 45:31Speaker 2: But Democrats are focus grouped at the word that set
- 45:34Speaker 2: off people with affordability, so they love using that term.
- 45:37Speaker 11: They brought up affordability, but they were the ones that
- 45:40Speaker 11: cost it.
- 45:41Speaker 12: I didn't cause it.
- 45:41Speaker 2: I came in.
- 45:42Speaker 12: Prices were way too high.
- 45:44Speaker 11: We had the highest inflation in the history of our
- 45:46Speaker 11: country forty eight years. They say, I say the history,
- 45:49Speaker 11: but we had the highest let's say in forty eight
- 45:51Speaker 11: years the highest inflation.
- 45:53Speaker 13: Prices were way high.
- 45:54Speaker 11: Now I've got the prices down and they're going down
- 45:56Speaker 11: still further.
- 45:57Speaker 2: But think of it.
- 45:58Speaker 12: We brought fuel from four dollars three point fifty three
- 46:01Speaker 12: seventy five down to a dollar ninety nine, a dollar eight.
- 46:05Speaker 11: I was just told in Iowa a dollar eighty five.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Well that's actually that's him on the Will Kaine Show yesterday.
- 46:12Speaker 2: And then he got to elon Omar. Elon Omar comes
- 46:15Speaker 2: from Somalia without a penny, somehow gets elected to Congress.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Now it's not a big salary in Congress, it's a
- 46:23Speaker 2: government job. But somehow, a couple of years later, she's
- 46:26Speaker 2: worth forty million bucks. That is being looked at. The
- 46:28Speaker 2: President talked about it.
- 46:30Speaker 12: And then we have this fake congress person who they
- 46:34Speaker 12: just reported is worth thirty million dollars. You believe is
- 46:37Speaker 12: elon Omar talking about the Constitution provides me. She comes
- 46:42Speaker 12: from a country that's not a country, and she's telling
- 46:45Speaker 12: us how to run America.
- 46:46Speaker 2: Not going to get away with it much longer. Yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 2: she'll say her husband, her husband had some sort of
- 46:52Speaker 2: a hedge fund something. But now they're investigating, and the
- 46:56Speaker 2: husband immediately shut down the whole business. So apparently he's
- 46:59Speaker 2: afraid it can't stand a frisk comer and Congress Committee
- 47:04Speaker 2: chairman says, they are going to investigate all this.
- 47:06Speaker 14: We're going to find out. It's not going to be
- 47:07Speaker 14: hard to figure out what business he's in and where
- 47:10Speaker 14: the money came from. So that's going to be a
- 47:13Speaker 14: central part of our entire Minnesota fraud investigation because she
- 47:17Speaker 14: is the leader in Congress in the district, in the
- 47:21Speaker 14: congressional district where the overwhelming majority of the welfare fraud
- 47:25Speaker 14: is taking place.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Now, if you were to ask elon Omar what her
- 47:30Speaker 2: response is, well, a reporter, did that listen to a response?
- 47:34Speaker 15: What your responses to the Oversight Committee launching an investigation
- 47:38Speaker 15: into your net worth? You and your husband's net worth.
- 47:41Speaker 15: They're claiming that it's risen rapidly. What's your response to what.
- 47:46Speaker 2: They're saying that was the response, the total silence, and
- 47:54Speaker 2: probably the best response she could give. But the President
- 47:58Speaker 2: Iowa yesterday talking about jobs, talking about bringing businesses back
- 48:05Speaker 2: to Iowa. You know, dear tractor, that's a big, big,
- 48:08Speaker 2: important one and that's coming back. Let me see if
- 48:11Speaker 2: you can find the clip here, I'm looking for it.
- 48:13Speaker 11: Yeah, here it is today, I please showing ounce one
- 48:15Speaker 11: more historic investments. John Deere's doing seventy million dollars in
- 48:20Speaker 11: factory in North Carolina is brand new, the best in
- 48:23Speaker 11: the world, and I think it's going to pay off very,
- 48:26Speaker 11: very big. And if it doesn't, I have nothing to
- 48:29Speaker 11: do with it. But if it does, I'm going to
- 48:32Speaker 11: take I'm going to take full credit.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Oh and he got the sleepy Joe.
- 48:36Speaker 11: The Biden nightmare cost a typical American family thirty four
- 48:40Speaker 11: thousand dollars and four years. But after one year of Trump,
- 48:44Speaker 11: real wages are already up more than two thousand dollars.
- 48:48Speaker 11: And thanks for our tax cuts, millions of Americans will
- 48:52Speaker 11: soon receive record setting tax refunds and average of more
- 48:56Speaker 11: than one thousand dollars.
- 48:58Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty good. You got to remember all that. Hey,
- 49:00Speaker 2: speaking of ice in Minnesota, you know, for all this
- 49:04Speaker 2: terrible stuff that's happened with ICE, what did they actually
- 49:07Speaker 2: accomplish there in Minneapolis. Well, it looks like they got
- 49:11Speaker 2: three thousand illegal criminals, three thousand arrests during the operation
- 49:16Speaker 2: in Minneapolis, three thousand of them. Now, these are criminal illegals,
- 49:20Speaker 2: many of them committing things like murder and rape and
- 49:22Speaker 2: assault and robbery. Well, if you get three thousand of
- 49:25Speaker 2: them off the street, that can make a hell of
- 49:26Speaker 2: a difference. You know, Washington, d C. Now the Feds
- 49:30Speaker 2: have been in there and ICE has taken some bit.
- 49:32Speaker 2: It's a whole different city. It used to be just
- 49:35Speaker 2: the most dangerous, crime ridden city. People live there. You
- 49:38Speaker 2: talk to them, they can't they can't believe the difference.
- 49:41Speaker 2: They're able to go out walk around Washington freely. And
- 49:44Speaker 2: it's happened now. Remember in other states, in other cities,
- 49:48Speaker 2: ICE is running much bigger operations with no problem, no chaos,
- 49:54Speaker 2: no killing, no any Why because in each case the
- 49:57Speaker 2: locals are cooperating, coordinating with them, local police for helping,
- 50:01Speaker 2: and it's totally calm, peaceful and orderly. Hey, we'll take
- 50:04Speaker 2: some calls. Next eight hundred three to two one zero
- 50:07Speaker 2: seven ten is the number eight hundred three two one
- 50:11Speaker 2: zero seven ten back to Mark them are well, let's
- 50:17Speaker 2: take some calls. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 50:20Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 50:22Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark.
- 50:23Speaker 2: What's the temperature down there right now?
- 50:26Speaker 13: It is sixty two? It was forty this morning's supposed.
- 50:29Speaker 2: To go down.
- 50:30Speaker 13: I heard real feel like in the twenties this weekend.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Do you know what we would give for the twenties
- 50:35Speaker 2: for Do you know what we would give for forty degrees? Anyway?
- 50:39Speaker 13: Out to you guys, I believe me, I'm not griping.
- 50:42Speaker 13: I'm cold, but I'm not griping.
- 50:45Speaker 2: I'll go ahead, Mike.
- 50:46Speaker 4: You know, I was just wondering.
- 50:48Speaker 13: You know, I'm surprised that Mom Donnie didn't lead that story,
- 50:52Speaker 13: headline that story the ice kills and New Yorkers.
- 50:55Speaker 2: You know, that's how.
- 50:56Speaker 9: Demented day are.
- 50:57Speaker 13: But you're in the business with people who keep you know,
- 51:02Speaker 13: they can't keep their mouths shut, the the most privileged
- 51:04Speaker 13: people on the face of the earth, and yet they're
- 51:06Speaker 13: out there making these statements about fascism and you know,
- 51:10Speaker 13: all the usual tripe. Do they honestly think they had
- 51:15Speaker 13: any effect on people?
- 51:17Speaker 2: Well? Yeah, you think. I remember, they're very, very very childish,
- 51:20Speaker 2: you know, child little child is exaggerating like crazy, yelling
- 51:24Speaker 2: and screaming and pouting and having a tantrument. That's basically
- 51:27Speaker 2: what this is. I mean, they might be justified in
- 51:29Speaker 2: some things, but they don't, you know, they can't discuss
- 51:32Speaker 2: it in a normal intellectual way. It's got to be
- 51:34Speaker 2: yelling and screaming and name calling and ridiculous hyperbole. That's
- 51:38Speaker 2: just the way it is. But it's a good point. Mike,
- 51:41Speaker 2: my favorite, well, I guestually it's like a lot of
- 51:43Speaker 2: them are great. But Lucy Arnaz, you gotta follow her
- 51:47Speaker 2: on Facebook, she said. Another's just a very nice woman
- 51:49Speaker 2: and otherwise very talented, but on Facebook, raging, raging, left wing.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Here she is yesterday about the Academy Awards this year.
- 51:58Speaker 2: We must use this show to make a statement that
- 52:02Speaker 2: we are done. Enough is enough. No gowns, no red carpet,
- 52:06Speaker 2: no fashion. Everyone wear the same thing, one unified look,
- 52:11Speaker 2: every winner says, one thing, un a unified message. Business
- 52:16Speaker 2: can got know on as usual. She's calling for everybody
- 52:19Speaker 2: on the Academy Awards to use the show for pretty,
- 52:24Speaker 2: for pretty and Renee good, use this well, that's our voice.
- 52:29Speaker 2: We have the airtime, we have the voices. Can you
- 52:31Speaker 2: imagine the Academy people reading this thing thinking their whole
- 52:34Speaker 2: show is going to be ruined. She goes on to say,
- 52:36Speaker 2: there's no way to spin this cold blooded murder and
- 52:40Speaker 2: Christy no Heart is a ghoul. This administration is a gutless,
- 52:45Speaker 2: soulless fashion regime that only knows how to lie to
- 52:49Speaker 2: cover their cruelty and lack of respect. Help Alex Pretty's
- 52:54Speaker 2: family get the message out. Don't be an innocent bystanderwill listen.
- 52:58Speaker 2: I looked at the video. I didn't think that shooting
- 53:00Speaker 2: was justified. I think that was not a good shooting.
- 53:03Speaker 2: But that's what happens when you try to disrupt a
- 53:07Speaker 2: law enforcement operation. You know, it's one thing to protest,
- 53:11Speaker 2: that's standing over there with a sign and yelling. But
- 53:13Speaker 2: when you decided to go in there and block these
- 53:15Speaker 2: guys and interfere and physically confront them, things can happen.
- 53:21Speaker 2: They you know, and if you point out to them,
- 53:23Speaker 2: none of this would have happened if the mayor and
- 53:25Speaker 2: the governor had done things normally. You're going to have
- 53:28Speaker 2: massive protests. You send police control it separate the protesters
- 53:33Speaker 2: from the police. It's done everywhere. It's there's bigger ice
- 53:38Speaker 2: operations than every other city, no problem because the police
- 53:41Speaker 2: are there to keep order. In Minnesota, they decided to
- 53:44Speaker 2: withhold the police pull them off the street. That's how
- 53:47Speaker 2: this happened. Let's go to James new Haven. James, how
- 53:50Speaker 2: you doing it is?
- 53:52Speaker 9: Good morning, sir.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Yes.
- 53:54Speaker 9: Two things would like to talk about. One is that
- 53:57Speaker 9: Today Show had Earl Dave Garroway and Jack was Schooley.
- 54:03Speaker 9: I don't know if you remember.
- 54:04Speaker 2: That you're an old timer, but boy, Dave Garaway was
- 54:08Speaker 2: an innovative. He was like the first real, big, big
- 54:11Speaker 2: TV host. Him and Arthur Godfrey were like the first
- 54:13Speaker 2: two big TV hosts. He started Today Show right nineteen
- 54:16Speaker 2: fifty two.
- 54:18Speaker 9: Yeah, so I remember watching him. The other thing I
- 54:22Speaker 9: wanted to mention is Yale cutting the offering tuitions for
- 54:30Speaker 9: people whose families make less than two hundred thousand per year.
- 54:36Speaker 9: And that could be that Dale wants to keep some
- 54:39Speaker 9: government contracts.
- 54:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that's all, but it's a Yale trying to look
- 54:45Speaker 2: like they're humanitarians. Meantime, they're charging every other kid one
- 54:48Speaker 2: hundred and twenty thousand a year ago. They're robbing everybody blind.
- 54:51Speaker 2: They don't even need to charge that it's overcharging. They
- 54:54Speaker 2: got a massive endowment. They could probably get by without
- 54:56Speaker 2: even charging tuition. But thanks for calling. Let's go to
- 54:59Speaker 2: Dave and Bridgeport Dave, how you.
- 55:01Speaker 8: Doing, hey, mat Lucy, I need to look cute wearing
- 55:04Speaker 8: a burker and Saunia Raby's port bills did his country
- 55:08Speaker 8: starts trying to change our way about in the tunnel.
- 55:11Speaker 2: Were in the ends room. You got quite an echo
- 55:13Speaker 2: to you there. Let's go to uh Richard in Bay Shore. Richard,
- 55:17Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 55:19Speaker 16: Hey?
- 55:19Speaker 11: Good morning?
- 55:19Speaker 9: Mark.
- 55:20Speaker 16: A couple of points about Amazon you would have frequently
- 55:23Speaker 16: and lately they've been shipping things using the post office
- 55:27Speaker 16: of all things.
- 55:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:29Speaker 16: Also they're closing all the Amazon for our supermarkets and
- 55:33Speaker 16: the Amazon Go convenience stores in this country, and I
- 55:36Speaker 16: think in the.
- 55:36Speaker 2: UK as well, they're getting out of the supermarket way.
- 55:39Speaker 16: But you live in the grocery business.
- 55:41Speaker 2: You live in Bay Shore. It's hard for Amazon out there,
- 55:43Speaker 2: so you've got to use every kind of deliveries, even
- 55:45Speaker 2: the post office, you know, it's all different. And Manhattan.
- 55:49Speaker 16: Well, actually I don't mind the post office because I
- 55:51Speaker 16: know pretty much it'll be to my box by ten thirty,
- 55:55Speaker 16: and I don't have to look at the little diagram
- 55:56Speaker 16: of the picture of the truck.
- 55:57Speaker 2: Moving down there. Yeah, I know, I know. But you know,
- 56:00Speaker 2: in Manhattan, if you want to buy something Amazon, you're
- 56:02Speaker 2: going It says to get it tomorrow, You'll get it tomorrow,
- 56:05Speaker 2: and that's it. It comes tomorrow. That's Manhattan. Sometimes if
- 56:07Speaker 2: you're out in the suburbs, it's not coming tomorrow. So
- 56:09Speaker 2: I'll come Friday, and then like Thursday night, you get
- 56:13Speaker 2: that little note. It's going to be delayed a day
- 56:15Speaker 2: or two, and then Friday it's gonna just like delay.
- 56:17Speaker 2: And then you're lucky if you get it by Sunday. Hey,
- 56:19Speaker 2: when we come back and Coulter will be with us next.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Lots to talk to her about on seven to ten WR.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Here's more marksimone on seven to ten.
- 56:28Speaker 2: WR, Well and Colder the best selling author and the
- 56:36Speaker 2: great columnist. And to make sure you follow on Twitter.
- 56:38Speaker 2: Great stuff on Twitter. Even better is there substack. If
- 56:41Speaker 2: you follow her on substack, you can watch your interviews
- 56:43Speaker 2: or podcasts or all sorts of stuff. Get her column
- 56:47Speaker 2: and Culter dot substack dot com and Culter.
- 56:51Speaker 10: How you doing fantastic? How are you? Mark Simone?
- 56:55Speaker 2: Well, been a rough week here. It's like minus five windill,
- 57:00Speaker 2: it's like you have to climb over snowbanks to go
- 57:03Speaker 2: across the street. It's awful here.
- 57:07Speaker 10: And that's even not taking into account the mayor.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Well, yeah, although he was pretty.
- 57:13Speaker 10: He's figured out a way to take care of the
- 57:14Speaker 10: homeless problem.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Yeah. No, it was actually good during the snowstorm. And
- 57:18Speaker 2: you know, we got a city council speaker that was
- 57:20Speaker 2: just elected who's actually a normal, conservative, common sense type
- 57:25Speaker 2: of person. So, and that's happened. I don't know she
- 57:28Speaker 2: got she was I'm the city council and got elected speaker.
- 57:31Speaker 2: But being in that job you got half the power.
- 57:34Speaker 2: It split between the mayor and her.
- 57:36Speaker 10: So yes, I'm shocked.
- 57:39Speaker 2: That'll be pretty good. Hey, Minnesota, the shooting didn't look
- 57:44Speaker 2: totally justified to me, but you know, in that kind
- 57:46Speaker 2: of chaos, anything can happen. But shouldn't people realize this
- 57:50Speaker 2: is all the fault of the mayor and the governor
- 57:51Speaker 2: for withholding the police, not controlling the protest.
- 57:55Speaker 10: Yes, yes, of course, I guess that's a rhetorical question,
- 58:00Speaker 10: but it really does bear repeating this isn't happening in
- 58:05Speaker 10: other states. The governor and the mayor and all these
- 58:09Speaker 10: quote sanctuary cities think they're free to secede from federal law.
- 58:16Speaker 10: Well they aren't. As I keep pointing out, the two
- 58:19Speaker 10: most you know, greatest acts of heroism by a president
- 58:25Speaker 10: in US Eisenhower sending in the one hundred and first
- 58:31Speaker 10: airborne to walk nine black children to school. Why because
- 58:35Speaker 10: it was in violation of a single Supreme Court order,
- 58:38Speaker 10: which was or decision, which was really kind of a
- 58:41Speaker 10: novel decision, certainly controversial, and that was that separate but
- 58:47Speaker 10: equal schools for black and white kids was inherently unconstitutional.
- 58:54Speaker 10: As I've mentioned, Clarence Thomas keeps pointing out, and I
- 58:57Speaker 10: mean everyone knew at the time the real problem, as
- 59:00Speaker 10: the schools were not remotely equal. The black schools didn't
- 59:05Speaker 10: have air conditioning, running water, you know, horrible facilities, few teachers.
- 59:10Speaker 10: But Clemence Thomas keeps an exasperation saying black children don't
- 59:15Speaker 10: need to sit next to whites in order to learn that.
- 59:19Speaker 10: That is not the crew the central problem here. In
- 59:22Speaker 10: any event, it was an all new decision and Orville
- 59:25Speaker 10: fabus Bill Clinton's mentor, by the way, UH said, know
- 59:31Speaker 10: what we're going to do is set up a voucher
- 59:33Speaker 10: system for for all all students. Schools will be private,
- 59:39Speaker 10: and private schools can do whatever they want, which was,
- 59:42Speaker 10: you know, probably technically correct. Nonetheless, this was contrary. It
- 59:46Speaker 10: was it was an important time. There had been years
- 59:49Speaker 10: of Jim Crow laws. The Supreme Court had spoken and
- 59:52Speaker 10: Republican Eisenhower. UH sent in the one hundred and first
- 59:56Speaker 10: Airborne under the Insurrection Act, I might and the Constitution
- 1:00:01Speaker 10: to walk these non black children to school in order
- 1:00:04Speaker 10: to enforce one Supreme Court decision. Supreme Court is ruled
- 1:00:08Speaker 10: dozens of times that immigration law is one I not
- 1:00:15Speaker 10: defy its states. States aren't even allowed to comply with
- 1:00:20Speaker 10: federal immigration law if the president happens to be a Democrat,
- 1:00:23Speaker 10: I e. Obama and says I don't want to enforce it. No,
- 1:00:28Speaker 10: Obama took to Arizona to the Supreme Court and said,
- 1:00:31Speaker 10: you can't enforce federal immigration law. I'm the president. I
- 1:00:35Speaker 10: don't want to enforce it. And by and large the
- 1:00:37Speaker 10: Supreme Court agreed. Immigration law one hundred percent federal law. Obviously,
- 1:00:43Speaker 10: a majority of Americans want immigration law enforced. That was
- 1:00:47Speaker 10: probably the biggest part of Trump's victory. And you have
- 1:00:52Speaker 10: these states like Tim waltzing, we are an island from
- 1:00:55Speaker 10: federal law. No, this is you can't secede from from
- 1:01:00Speaker 10: the law. So these poor agents are just trying to
- 1:01:05Speaker 10: enforce federal law. I really do think Trump should send
- 1:01:08Speaker 10: in more troops. That's another issue overwhelming force. They are
- 1:01:13Speaker 10: facing an organized, militarized, violent left wing group. I mean,
- 1:01:19Speaker 10: some of them are just stupid, chubby girls in Minnesota
- 1:01:22Speaker 10: going along with things. But you do have an organized
- 1:01:26Speaker 10: effort to block all deportations deportations of violent felons. Do
- 1:01:32Speaker 10: not let liberals or Democrats tell you, oh, no, of
- 1:01:34Speaker 10: course we all want to deport violent No they don't, No,
- 1:01:37Speaker 10: they don't. They want all twenty million illegals brought in
- 1:01:41Speaker 10: by Biden, not to mention the thirty forty million who
- 1:01:45Speaker 10: were already here. They have to stay. They have to stay,
- 1:01:48Speaker 10: and they will do anything. I mean, remember you had
- 1:01:51Speaker 10: the attempted assassination of ICE officials down at that Dallas
- 1:01:56Speaker 10: Ice facility just a few months ago. Is they're interfering? Yeah, okay,
- 1:02:03Speaker 10: the shooting didn't didn't look good, but I'm sorry. I
- 1:02:08Speaker 10: have a lot of sympathy for cops in that situation.
- 1:02:11Speaker 10: They are allowed to go home alive at night. It's
- 1:02:14Speaker 10: not supposed to be a fair fight between between the
- 1:02:18Speaker 10: guy resisting rest who happens to be in possession of
- 1:02:20Speaker 10: a gun and the police. And I mean, I suppose
- 1:02:25Speaker 10: we'll know more, but it appears that when when you're
- 1:02:28Speaker 10: wrestling with someone who had been interfering with federal operations,
- 1:02:33Speaker 10: they see a gun. Boy, when cops your gun, gun, gun,
- 1:02:38Speaker 10: that is that is quite a tense moment. You know,
- 1:02:41Speaker 10: you don't want to get shot. Don't interfere with with
- 1:02:43Speaker 10: law enforcement while in possession of a deadly weapon, whether
- 1:02:47Speaker 10: that's a gun or or a car.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: Yeah, now the calling protesters, but a protester is standing
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: over there with a sign yelling at you, when they're
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: actually physically in your face and trying to block your operation,
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: that's no longer a protester. In fact, that's actually crime
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: to interfere with you.
- 1:03:01Speaker 10: Yes, absolutely right, absolutely there being as obnoxious as possible.
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: Blowing whistles. One one thing that the media keep insisting.
- 1:03:09Speaker 10: I mean, it's a small point, but it's a fact
- 1:03:13Speaker 10: that oh, he was legally, legally permitted to have a gun. Haha,
- 1:03:18Speaker 10: you right wingers, we thought you believed in gun right. Well,
- 1:03:20Speaker 10: in Minnesota, the law is, yes you can. You can
- 1:03:25Speaker 10: have a concealed weapon, but you need to have your
- 1:03:28Speaker 10: permit on you and need you need to have ID
- 1:03:30Speaker 10: on you. Now this is curious. Why didn't he have
- 1:03:34Speaker 10: I D. I mean, have you ever gone out and realized,
- 1:03:37Speaker 10: oh crap, I forgot my wallet, I switched persons I
- 1:03:40Speaker 10: don't have. Of course people have ID on them. No, no,
- 1:03:44Speaker 10: these because this is a highly organized, a militarized organization.
- 1:03:51Speaker 10: The quote protesters are are instructed do not carry ID
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: because that'll waste law enforcement resources. When you get arrested,
- 1:04:00Speaker 10: they'll have to figure out who you are. They won't
- 1:04:03Speaker 10: know you won't have ID. This is part of being
- 1:04:08Speaker 10: at a block to law enforcement doing their job here.
- 1:04:13Speaker 10: That's why he didn't have ID, and that was against
- 1:04:16Speaker 10: the law. Yes, only punished as a misdemeanor. But don't
- 1:04:19Speaker 10: tell me he was following the law. Those of us
- 1:04:21Speaker 10: who those of us who have concealed cary know what
- 1:04:27Speaker 10: the rules are and we follow them. And there are
- 1:04:29Speaker 10: a lot of very particular rules that are going to
- 1:04:31Speaker 10: be kind of a pain in the butt.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: Now, I don't know. I was watching Jimmy Kimmel last
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: night and he said, there's no proof, no evidence that
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: this is organized, that anybody's behind these protests. He said,
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: they're all genuine organic protesters.
- 1:04:46Speaker 10: Well, it's not only absurd, I just weeded moments ago
- 1:04:50Speaker 10: then pointing out passing out their pre printed signs from
- 1:04:56Speaker 10: the back of a truck. But also we have these
- 1:04:58Speaker 10: what is it are they on?
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: Sign?
- 1:05:00Speaker 10: No messenger?
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: What is that thing.
- 1:05:03Speaker 10: Where they're all they're all it's it's very clearly organized
- 1:05:07Speaker 10: and and it's it's organized like you know ward politics
- 1:05:12Speaker 10: in Chicago, people have different regions to go to. There
- 1:05:15Speaker 10: there are there are specific instructions like don't carry the
- 1:05:19Speaker 10: ideas these and throw things and get in their faces.
- 1:05:23Speaker 10: Why do they all suddenly have whistles this idea? I
- 1:05:27Speaker 10: mean the left pulls this a lot. Oh, there's no
- 1:05:30Speaker 10: such thing as antifa. I call this the left's scorched
- 1:05:35Speaker 10: earth policy. To argumentation, they retreat, burning the English language
- 1:05:40Speaker 10: as they Oh what do you mean antifa? I have
- 1:05:42Speaker 10: no idea what that means. Well, okay, is there a
- 1:05:45Speaker 10: do we have a membership card on on these alleged
- 1:05:49Speaker 10: everyone they call a white supremacist where their cards?
- 1:05:54Speaker 9: Why can't wait?
- 1:05:55Speaker 10: There's no such thing, and in fact, I think there
- 1:05:58Speaker 10: is no such thing as a white supremacis. I would
- 1:06:01Speaker 10: like to see one one produced for me, But they
- 1:06:04Speaker 10: actually like BOYD, they sure act like that is a
- 1:06:06Speaker 10: massive organized movement.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, one more that we just got a minute left.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: The picture of Alex pretty ms NOW formerly MSNBC doctored
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: the picture to make him look better.
- 1:06:24Speaker 10: Do you see my tweet on it? I had a
- 1:06:25Speaker 10: much better doctor.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Go to an Culter's Twitter. You'll see how they
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: doctored the picture. But then you'll see what she thinks
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: they should have done. But that is out and out
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: fraud the committed.
- 1:06:37Speaker 10: Okay, okay, we got a murder, but he's not good
- 1:06:40Speaker 10: looking enough, so they.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: Made him much better looking in the picture. Fake picture
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: they used to do on ms NOW I had.
- 1:06:48Speaker 10: That's pretty good photo shopping. I gotta say, if you
- 1:06:50Speaker 10: can do that, Mark, I would like you to start
- 1:06:53Speaker 10: taking my picture.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Definitely. I think that's a little AI in there too,
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: not just photoshop fixing it up. But Culter great stuff.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Make sure you follow her on Twitter. In fact, go
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: look at it right now. She's got the You can
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: see the two pictures and make sure you follow her
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: on substack where you can get her column and her
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: videos and her podcasts and all sorts of stuff and
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: culter dot substack dot com and Culter. Thanks for being
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: with us.
- 1:07:17Speaker 10: Good to talk to you, Mark Simon, byye, take.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Care, hey, don't forget coming up at noon, Buck and Clay,

- 1:07:44Speaker 1: the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on woor Well.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: A lot of people very upset that Bill Belichick did
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: not make the Pro Hoop Football Hall of Fame. I
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: think you needed fifty votes. He got forty. Bill Belichick
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: won six Super Bowl championships with the Patriots, doesn't make
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Nobody can figure it out. Everybody,
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: even the President of the United States Donald Trump, saying
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: it's absolutely ridiculous. Everybody coming to Belichick's defense. I don't
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: know what the reason would be. How many Super Bowls
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: do you have to win to get in that Hall
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: of Fame? Trump also he's really kind of mad at
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: the NFL. He's not going to go to the Super
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Bowl next week because of the ridiculous halftime show they got. Also,
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: he's very upset about that new kickoff rule, which he
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: calls the sissy kickoff. You know, they changed the rules
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: this year and the kickoff, nobody's allowed to move until
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: the ball lands. You don't normally go run down the field,
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: try to block, tackle, whatever, You're not allowed to do anything.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: If the NFL continues these kind of rule changes, it
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: will become literally become touch football in a few years.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: Not allowed to touch anybody move until the ball hits
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: the ground. And anyway, we're out of time. I'll be
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: back tomorrow ten to noon, every day ten to noon.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: And remember if you can't listen live ten to noon,
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: if that's not good for you, or you're gonna miss
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: a show or miss an hour, just get the podcast.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: You can hear this show anytime, day or night. Wherever
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: you get your podcasts, you'll find this show. Otherwise, live
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: ten to noon. Thanks for listening. Great being here with
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: you every morning. Thanks for everything. Talk to you tomorrow
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: on seven ten wor
