- 0:00Speaker 1: I don't know which is more disconcerting, the pictures of
- 0:04Speaker 1: me on the T shirts or that thing that was
- 0:06Speaker 1: up there, I mean, dancing with the white. I don't
- 0:09Speaker 1: know which one is worse. But I'd be remiss if
- 0:13Speaker 1: I didn't acknowledge Andy Baylock, because he's were celebrating forty years.
- 0:18Speaker 1: He's been here over sixty so Andy, he's come to
- 0:22Speaker 1: a lot most of our games. And although I'm competitive,
- 0:29Speaker 1: I have told Andy I have no intention of breaking
- 0:32Speaker 1: that record. So it's all yours. But thank you for
- 0:35Speaker 1: all your support.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Say show a picture of coach Baylock.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Wonderful, wonderful to have my sister here and a lot
- 0:47Speaker 3: of my college friends and a high school friend, and
- 0:51Speaker 3: thank you for coming.
- 0:54Speaker 1: They actually discovered Ted's this afternoon. I'm a little afraid,
- 1:03Speaker 1: but I learned so much from them, and they taught
- 1:05Speaker 1: me not only about basketball and about teammates, but friendship.
- 1:09Speaker 1: And we've been friends for over forty years. So thank
- 1:11Speaker 1: you for coming. I appreciate it. And then this student section,
- 1:22Speaker 1: we love you guys.
- 1:26Speaker 2: And most of them are still here. Not many people
- 1:29Speaker 2: have left the building tonight. Photos to all of you
- 1:34Speaker 2: for hanging around.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I don't know if you've heard this part of the story.
- 1:38Speaker 1: But I used to have to teach jogging. You had
- 1:41Speaker 1: a requirement of fizz ed requirement and the most popular
- 1:45Speaker 1: fizz ed class was my jogging class. And I would
- 1:49Speaker 1: like to tell you here now I would have given
- 1:51Speaker 1: all of you a's that was part of the oil
- 1:56Speaker 1: back in the day last but not well, actually, I
- 1:59Speaker 1: guess there's yes, but not least. It's the players from
- 2:03Speaker 1: that are standing in front of me and those that
- 2:05Speaker 1: couldn't make it here. You are are truly the reason
- 2:10Speaker 1: that I'm in coaching, and here's certainly the reason that
- 2:14Speaker 1: I've stayed in coaching. Some of you might be the
- 2:17Speaker 1: reason I get out of coaching, but I can't. I
- 2:23Speaker 1: can't tell you how much it means to me to
- 2:26Speaker 1: have you here. And I know that you said that
- 2:29Speaker 1: we've taught you a lot. The one thing I've never
- 2:32Speaker 1: understood was the whole trauma caused by stockings. Hopefully you've
- 2:37Speaker 1: gotten over that, but I need you to know that
- 2:43Speaker 1: you mean more to me and have taught me more
- 2:45Speaker 1: than I could have ever taught you. So thank you
- 2:48Speaker 1: very much for being here.
