A Sound Transit light rail train derailed late Saturday night as it approached the International District/Chinatown Station—thankfully empty, so no one was hurt. The incident shut down downtown service for hours, forcing commuters to rely on shuttle buses until full operations resumed by 2:15 p.m. Sunday.
