- 0:19Speaker 1: and feel about money. Are you ready? Welcome to Talk
- 0:27Speaker 1: Wealthy to Me and our live from Mallard Hall Estate series.
- 0:31Speaker 1: In this episode, I'm sitting down with Ruchie Pinneger. Rucchie
- 0:35Speaker 1: is the founder of watch or prosper a company dedicated
- 0:38Speaker 1: to helping high achieving women build confidence and comfort with
- 0:42Speaker 1: their numbers. After a successful career as an executive on
- 0:46Speaker 1: Wall Street, she created a unique space that emphasizes prosperity
- 0:50Speaker 1: beyond money, transforming the businesses and lives of women. In
- 0:54Speaker 1: this episode, we break down why financial confidence is the
- 0:57Speaker 1: key to lasting prosperity in how women can take control
- 1:00Speaker 1: of their numbers to build true wealth. Hi, everybody, thank
- 1:05Speaker 1: you so much for spending a little bit of time
- 1:08Speaker 1: with us again today at the Talk Wealthy to Me podcast.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I'm really excited because I have someone here today that
- 1:17Speaker 1: is a girl after my own heart. Ruchie Penneger Ruchie
- 1:20Speaker 1: like Gucci, as she likes to say, But I'm really
- 1:23Speaker 1: excited to have this conversation with you today, Ruccie, because
- 1:27Speaker 1: you do so much, but you also truly are passionate
- 1:32Speaker 1: about women and their money mindset. So for everyone listening
- 1:37Speaker 1: that hasn't had the pleasure to meet you yet, tell
- 1:39Speaker 1: us about you and your business.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Absolutely, thank you for having me. It's so incredible to
- 1:44Speaker 2: be here with you and your listeners. So, after twenty
- 1:48Speaker 2: years in the corporate world, mostly on Wall Street, I
- 1:51Speaker 2: left to start watch her prosper and what we love
- 1:54Speaker 2: to do. We think of ourselves as your chief financial guide.
- 1:57Speaker 2: So we are in your business numbers and your life
- 2:00Speaker 2: and we are providing financial support and guidance, bookkeeping, tax
- 2:04Speaker 2: time readiness, and my favorite part is, as you said,
- 2:07Speaker 2: the money mindset all through that lens and helping our
- 2:11Speaker 2: clients to redefine prosperity.
- 2:13Speaker 1: So your clients come to you, and they may come
- 2:17Speaker 1: to you for tax preparedness or bookkeeping, and then they
- 2:21Speaker 1: get their fairy godmother Ruchie to come through and say, well,
- 2:25Speaker 1: why do you feel that way? Tell us about your
- 2:27Speaker 1: money mindset? Right, that's right, you.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Know, someone once told me, you hear, you don't just listen,
- 2:33Speaker 2: and we're listening and hearing what's underneath it all. So, yes,
- 2:38Speaker 2: we do the practical tactical, we do the money, we
- 2:40Speaker 2: do the books, as I said, but we're really going
- 2:43Speaker 2: deeper and we're really helping you to envision what is
- 2:46Speaker 2: it you want for that most beautiful, prosperous life of
- 2:49Speaker 2: yours And what do we need to do in your
- 2:51Speaker 2: business and in your revenue to get there?
- 2:54Speaker 1: Oh? I love that. So it's a feel good meeting
- 2:58Speaker 1: around money and around and accounting, which is usually a bland,
- 3:03Speaker 1: boring conversation, but with you guys, it's a little bit different,
- 3:07Speaker 1: that's right.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I actually pride us on making it a safe space,
- 3:11Speaker 2: a judgment free space, and we really try not to
- 3:14Speaker 2: use like the accounting talk. We really like to talk
- 3:16Speaker 2: to you just girl to girl, a woman to women.
- 3:19Speaker 2: You know, let's talk about your numbers. Let's look at
- 3:22Speaker 2: what's happening. I always say, the numbers tell the story,
- 3:25Speaker 2: you know, and by looking at the numbers, we understand
- 3:28Speaker 2: what's going on, what you love, what you don't love.
- 3:31Speaker 2: It's really fun, it can be fun.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Well you've made it fun, so you guys. Rucchie was
- 3:38Speaker 1: just the Drew Barrymore show. I mean that's so cool.
- 3:42Speaker 1: You don't think of somebody that's going to be in
- 3:45Speaker 1: your numbers doing amazing things. And I think that that
- 3:49Speaker 1: goes back to your money mindset and the goals that
- 3:51Speaker 1: you have for yourself. I mean, you're all over the
- 3:54Speaker 1: place because of your passion around helping women, which obviously
- 3:59Speaker 1: is important to us too. So tell us about you personally.
- 4:03Speaker 1: You are in New York, you're a mama, tell us
- 4:07Speaker 1: about that. Yes, how do you make it all happen? Oh?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Girl, yes, it's look. I am a mama. Yes, I
- 4:14Speaker 2: have an incredible sixteen year old son. I am in
- 4:16Speaker 2: New York City. We also have a house outside of
- 4:19Speaker 2: the city, which helps me to really appreciate the city
- 4:22Speaker 2: more because the grounding and being in nature is so important.
- 4:27Speaker 2: And you know, balance is a thing. I like to
- 4:30Speaker 2: call it harmony actually, because I think in reality it's
- 4:34Speaker 2: kind of like the way when you play music, like
- 4:36Speaker 2: there's certain times you're putting your focus on one thing
- 4:39Speaker 2: over another. So where in your life do you need
- 4:42Speaker 2: more attention. Sometimes it's on my family, my son, my husband.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Sometimes it's on my clients and my business. So I
- 4:51Speaker 2: just try to find that perfect harmony in my life
- 4:54Speaker 2: to really be addressing whatever needs to be addressed.
- 4:57Speaker 1: In the moment. Well, I think we can relate to
- 5:00Speaker 1: trying to find harmony in life and giving ourselves the
- 5:03Speaker 1: grace to know that it doesn't happen all the time,
- 5:05Speaker 1: but man, when it does, it's a thing of beauty.
- 5:08Speaker 2: It is.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So tell us about your journey and relationship with money.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I love your story. Yes, of course you do. Similar.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Once people hear it, they'll know why you love my story. Well, okay,
- 5:21Speaker 2: so I grew up here with an immigrant mom. So
- 5:24Speaker 2: my parents actually came over from India. I was born
- 5:27Speaker 2: in Denmark and my dad so cool. Yeah, it's kind
- 5:30Speaker 2: of like a fun little I think it's a fun fact.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I would say it is a fun fact. Kind of
- 5:35Speaker 1: that's an interesting fact when you're at a party and
- 5:37Speaker 1: they're like, say something interesting and it's like, I'm from
- 5:41Speaker 1: India but born in Denmark and now in New York
- 5:44Speaker 1: City exactly. Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 2: So my mom raised my brother and I and one
- 5:49Speaker 2: of the things I remember, yes, like we had like
- 5:51Speaker 2: a loving family. I mean, she was incredible in so
- 5:54Speaker 2: many ways, and she was such an inspiration in her career.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I do remember seeing like all of my classmates and
- 6:01Speaker 2: my friends in their designer clothes, and I felt like
- 6:06Speaker 2: we didn't really have that, Like we got it two
- 6:08Speaker 2: seasons later. Like I'm an eighties girl, so Jeorde asked
- 6:10Speaker 2: jeans for me were the thing, and you girl remember that. Yeah,
- 6:16Speaker 2: So I got those things a little bit later than
- 6:18Speaker 2: when they came out, and I always thought that those
- 6:21Speaker 2: things meant happiness. Like the people that I saw from
- 6:24Speaker 2: the outside looked like they had these perfect lives, like
- 6:26Speaker 2: they had two parents, they had a big house. You know,
- 6:29Speaker 2: they just looked like they had it all together, like
- 6:30Speaker 2: the quote unquote popular crowd. And so fast forward. I
- 6:35Speaker 2: was on Wall Street and I'm like, I finally made it.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I bought myself a Prada bag.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Yes, that's why I think you love this story.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know what, I got the Prada bag.
- 6:46Speaker 2: It was really fun in the moment, I was like
- 6:48Speaker 2: I did it, and then what happened? Nothing, nothing changed,
- 6:52Speaker 2: life was the same. In fact, I actually went into
- 6:54Speaker 2: debt to buy it. And that was really one of
- 6:58Speaker 2: the key things that I realized is like Prada bags
- 7:02Speaker 2: don't make you prosperous.
- 7:04Speaker 1: No, I mean, and there's power in that and so
- 7:07Speaker 1: many different things that you said. So number one, material
- 7:11Speaker 1: things don't change anything for you. Where I think that
- 7:15Speaker 1: they can make you quote unquote prosperous is if it
- 7:19Speaker 1: is going to give you the confidence to show up
- 7:21Speaker 1: as a better version of yourself, then by all means,
- 7:25Speaker 1: by the things that are going to do that for you.
- 7:28Speaker 1: It doesn't have to be because of a name brand
- 7:32Speaker 1: situation like that. Although I love Prada, but I think
- 7:37Speaker 1: that what you took away from it is so important
- 7:39Speaker 1: because it did kind of lead you and guide you
- 7:42Speaker 1: into the work that you're doing today growing up. I
- 7:45Speaker 1: think I've shared the story with you. I had these
- 7:48Speaker 1: couple of metrics that I thought, Okay, well when that happens,
- 7:51Speaker 1: I've made it, and it didn't. Now, it didn't change
- 7:57Speaker 1: my life. I do have fresh flowers in the house,
- 7:59Speaker 1: but man like it's an obsession where I like to
- 8:04Speaker 1: do it because it's a comfort, But it doesn't change anything.
- 8:08Speaker 1: These invisible like goalposts that we're running towards. And I
- 8:14Speaker 1: think that as women learn that that's where the real
- 8:18Speaker 1: power is, because what is it about the product bag?
- 8:23Speaker 1: It wasn't the bag. It wasn't about the things, but
- 8:27Speaker 1: it was like the happiness on the other side of
- 8:29Speaker 1: that that you thought that those things would provide, when
- 8:33Speaker 1: in fact, now you've just realized that having control and
- 8:37Speaker 1: freedom and power over time and your finances and having
- 8:41Speaker 1: the tool to build the life is really what you
- 8:44Speaker 1: were after all along.
- 8:46Speaker 2: That's exactly right. Prosperity is an inside job. That's what
- 8:49Speaker 2: it comes down to in the end.
- 8:52Speaker 1: You know, it's interesting. I know growing up I used
- 8:54Speaker 1: to think with I would chase the career because I
- 9:01Speaker 1: thought that that person looks happy, so that's what I want.
- 9:04Speaker 1: But when you stop and you think internally, what is
- 9:08Speaker 1: making this look appealing? It was the freedom of time
- 9:14Speaker 1: and it wasn't the thing. And so the work that
- 9:18Speaker 1: you're doing on money mindset, I'm sure you're encountering women
- 9:23Speaker 1: all the time that are struggling. What are the commonalities
- 9:27Speaker 1: between them that you're seeing?
- 9:29Speaker 2: Is it.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Trying to do everything at once? Like what do you see?
- 9:34Speaker 2: I see a lot of times when we this is
- 9:38Speaker 2: a really interesting thing with our clients, Like you see
- 9:41Speaker 2: they're doing the practical, tactical work, they're putting in the
- 9:44Speaker 2: saving strategies for taxes for growth, They're increasing their revenue.
- 9:49Speaker 2: And then what I started to see before working on
- 9:51Speaker 2: the money mindset was well, now where's the rest of
- 9:54Speaker 2: the money. What was happening was they were making more,
- 9:57Speaker 2: but they were spending more. And what we started to
- 10:01Speaker 2: realize as we dug deeper is money's not safe with me.
- 10:05Speaker 2: So there's these underlying stories that we carry with us
- 10:09Speaker 2: that are subconscious. Ninety five to ninety five actually ninety
- 10:13Speaker 2: five to ninety seven percent of how we show up
- 10:15Speaker 2: is based on our subconscious beliefs and only three to
- 10:18Speaker 2: five is our conscious beliefs. So we are carrying our
- 10:22Speaker 2: family history, how our family thought about money, how our
- 10:25Speaker 2: parents talked about money, or by the way, not talking
- 10:28Speaker 2: about money is also an action.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Okay, holy cow, wait a second. So I don't know
- 10:34Speaker 1: if you guys just caught that, but I've never heard
- 10:37Speaker 1: that before, and it made me stop and think, like
- 10:40Speaker 1: we need to unpack that a little bit. So what
- 10:42Speaker 1: you're saying is as people are making more money, they're
- 10:46Speaker 1: spending more because subconsciously they think money is not safe
- 10:49Speaker 1: with them.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Is that is one of the stories?
- 10:52Speaker 1: Yes?
- 10:52Speaker 2: So wild, Yes, So one of our clients that scenario
- 10:57Speaker 2: I just gave you is actually what was happening. We
- 10:59Speaker 2: were doing all the things right, all the practical, tactical things.
- 11:03Speaker 2: She made more, but she wasn't saving it. And what
- 11:07Speaker 2: we realized was she didn't feel safe with it because
- 11:10Speaker 2: one of her parents used to weaponize money, and so
- 11:13Speaker 2: she didn't want to hold money because it made her
- 11:16Speaker 2: feel unsafe in her body. A lot of this work
- 11:19Speaker 2: around mindset is around your mind, but it's also about
- 11:22Speaker 2: what's happening in your body, like how does money make
- 11:24Speaker 2: you feel in the inside.
- 11:26Speaker 1: So how do you unpack that? So how do you
- 11:28Speaker 1: fix it?
- 11:29Speaker 2: We start to make it feel safe. So some of
- 11:32Speaker 2: the work we do with our clients is having them
- 11:34Speaker 2: reframe their thoughts, but also visualizing, so this is really
- 11:39Speaker 2: key too. Visualization is key because your mind doesn't know
- 11:43Speaker 2: the difference between reality and imagination. So there's all these
- 11:47Speaker 2: incredible studies that they do. So for example, like a
- 11:51Speaker 2: baseball player that is actually at home plate runs the
- 11:56Speaker 2: base hits a home run, runs the bases, feel the
- 12:00Speaker 2: wind on their arms and the goosebumps. Here's the crowd
- 12:03Speaker 2: roaring as they're running the bases and getting to home plate.
- 12:07Speaker 2: The actual happening of that versus the visualization of that
- 12:11Speaker 2: has the same brain activity. Okay, wow, this is really key,
- 12:16Speaker 2: and this is really important because you can essentially train
- 12:19Speaker 2: your mind is really what it comes down to. So
- 12:23Speaker 2: in this case, we would identify what those beliefs are
- 12:26Speaker 2: in the work that we're doing. And sometimes for those
- 12:29Speaker 2: of you that are at home that are really like, well,
- 12:31Speaker 2: I don't have anyone supporting me in this, just pause
- 12:35Speaker 2: and give yourself some time in journal and just say
- 12:37Speaker 2: what did growing up? What were my money beliefs? Like
- 12:42Speaker 2: what did my the way I was raised do to
- 12:46Speaker 2: me around money? Or like make me feel about money?
- 12:49Speaker 2: Start to just dig a little bit deeper and pay
- 12:51Speaker 2: attention to your habits, and then what we do is
- 12:54Speaker 2: we start to reframe those. So I love to share
- 12:56Speaker 2: my rir method. It's recognize, interrupt reframe. So recognize when
- 13:01Speaker 2: you're having a negative, disempowering thought. So if you're walking
- 13:04Speaker 2: around like I'm not good at the numbers, just recognize that,
- 13:08Speaker 2: interrupt it and reframe it with a more prosperous, more
- 13:11Speaker 2: empowering thought, Like every day I trust myself more and
- 13:14Speaker 2: more with money.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Like you told me to do with technology. Just like guys,
- 13:17Speaker 1: and it works. When I Rouchie and I were together
- 13:21Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago and I said, oh, technology
- 13:23Speaker 1: and I we are not friends, and she literally like
- 13:28Speaker 1: record screeching. Don't say that. What you have to say
- 13:32Speaker 1: is I am getting technology and I are getting better
- 13:37Speaker 1: at working together towards the end result or something like that.
- 13:40Speaker 1: And I said it to myself and it did kind
- 13:41Speaker 1: of work, and then when I said it again later,
- 13:44Speaker 1: it was like, oh, yeah, this feels better. It's true.
- 13:47Speaker 2: It's true. So it is about the words. Okay, but
- 13:50Speaker 2: it doesn't end there, and this is the key. So
- 13:53Speaker 2: it's also about the visualization. So what I have people
- 13:57Speaker 2: do is reframe it with the words and the thoughts,
- 14:01Speaker 2: also writing it down, also closing your eyes and visualizing,
- 14:06Speaker 2: like for you, what does technology and me being friends
- 14:10Speaker 2: look like? And that could be that your program, your
- 14:13Speaker 2: women in Wealth program is really thriving and there's no
- 14:17Speaker 2: issues of technology. It could be for me with clients
- 14:22Speaker 2: like every day I trust myself more and more with money,
- 14:25Speaker 2: or even just like I am abundant, and what does
- 14:27Speaker 2: abundance look like? Close your eyes, visualize what that looks like.
- 14:30Speaker 2: So the more you can do from a sensory perspective,
- 14:34Speaker 2: the better well, and I do.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Love that, and that's something that I talk about on
- 14:37Speaker 1: the podcast. Often abundance is going to look so different
- 14:43Speaker 1: for everybody, and what your perfect abundant life looks like.
- 14:47Speaker 1: You shouldn't try and make that fit into the mold
- 14:50Speaker 1: of someone else's because that doesn't feel genuine. And that
- 14:54Speaker 1: goes back to what you were just saying, is truly
- 14:56Speaker 1: doing the work to figure out why do I want
- 14:58Speaker 1: this thing, what does it really look and feel like,
- 15:01Speaker 1: and going after it because it matters to you, not
- 15:03Speaker 1: because of what you see on Instagram or somebody that
- 15:07Speaker 1: you follow that's doing or a friend that makes it
- 15:10Speaker 1: harder to accomplish.
- 15:13Speaker 2: So true, and I think what you said is really
- 15:16Speaker 2: key though a lot of people have trouble figuring out
- 15:19Speaker 2: what a prosperous life looks like. They don't have clarity.
- 15:22Speaker 2: And when you have clarity, that's how you can act
- 15:24Speaker 2: on it, and that's when the universe kind of comes
- 15:26Speaker 2: by your side and supports.
- 15:27Speaker 1: You in that.
- 15:28Speaker 2: So getting clarity is so key. And for those of
- 15:32Speaker 2: you here listening, I want to give you maybe like
- 15:36Speaker 2: a tool or an exercise that you can do to
- 15:38Speaker 2: get clarity. Yeah yeah, so let's do it.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:42Speaker 2: So what I want you to do is just like
- 15:45Speaker 2: take an hour out of your day schedule some time,
- 15:48Speaker 2: grab a candle, grab a journal, grab a blanket, cozy
- 15:52Speaker 2: up on your couch and just close your eyes and
- 15:54Speaker 2: start to think about some questions sort of some curiosity
- 15:59Speaker 2: questions like, you know, if it's a year from now,
- 16:03Speaker 2: you know, how do I want to be spending my time?
- 16:05Speaker 2: Who do I want to be spending it with, Where
- 16:07Speaker 2: do I want to be What do I want to
- 16:09Speaker 2: be feeling like every day? Because remember I talk to
- 16:12Speaker 2: you about how you have to feel prosperous, not just
- 16:15Speaker 2: say I'm prosperous, like feeling it. So what are the
- 16:18Speaker 2: emotions you want to feel?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Like?
- 16:20Speaker 2: Abundance, ease, peace, joy, Those are some of my favorites,
- 16:25Speaker 2: but there's so many different emotions. I think I said,
- 16:30Speaker 2: where do you want to be living? You know, just
- 16:32Speaker 2: think about those types of things. And if you're a
- 16:34Speaker 2: business owner, you know, what do I want my business
- 16:37Speaker 2: to be doing? What do I want my team to
- 16:40Speaker 2: look like? How much do I want to be making
- 16:42Speaker 2: all of these questions. Start to jot them down, and
- 16:45Speaker 2: then what I want you to do. And I do
- 16:47Speaker 2: this as well. I want you to write a vision.
- 16:51Speaker 2: And the way you'll do that is you write a
- 16:53Speaker 2: letter to whomever you know. I lost my mom when
- 16:56Speaker 2: I was young, at fifteen. I don't think I shared
- 16:59Speaker 2: that yet, and so I write a letter to mom.
- 17:02Speaker 2: I say, dear Mom, you won't believe what a year
- 17:05Speaker 2: it's been. So you're writing a letter to someone as
- 17:08Speaker 2: if it's a year from now and it's already happened. Okay,
- 17:12Speaker 2: So dear mom, you won't believe what a year it's been.
- 17:14Speaker 2: And then you go on and you say, here's what's happening,
- 17:17Speaker 2: here's where I'm living, Here's what's happening in my business
- 17:21Speaker 2: and my life. And then that becomes your vision, and
- 17:26Speaker 2: that's your clarity. So that essentially becomes your north star
- 17:29Speaker 2: as you're making decisions and saying yes to things.
- 17:33Speaker 1: That's amazing. What And this is something I've mentioned before.
- 17:37Speaker 1: For me, the visualization of this far off goal, even
- 17:42Speaker 1: if it's a year or five years, is something that
- 17:44Speaker 1: I struggle with. And I know I'm not alone in this.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I've talked to so many women. Mine comes back to
- 17:50Speaker 1: my health journey, where I think, okay, God has healed
- 17:55Speaker 1: me at seventeen. Everything I have right now is more
- 17:58Speaker 1: than I could have I ever hoped for. Is that
- 18:02Speaker 1: seventeen year old girl, Like my kids are healthy, I
- 18:05Speaker 1: don't need anything else, just like I don't want to
- 18:07Speaker 1: seem selfish. So and I'm sure offline there's a ton
- 18:11Speaker 1: we can unpack there in regards to me. But for
- 18:14Speaker 1: people that are struggling with identifying what that abundant future
- 18:20Speaker 1: looks like, what are some tools to get them over
- 18:24Speaker 1: that hump?
- 18:25Speaker 2: Well, this is about this goes back a little bit
- 18:27Speaker 2: to the safety. What is it about your life that
- 18:32Speaker 2: you don't feel like you're deserving of whatever it is
- 18:35Speaker 2: you want? What is it you know? Were you told
- 18:39Speaker 2: you're being greedy?
- 18:40Speaker 1: No? I think for me it was just because on
- 18:43Speaker 1: my health journey, when knowing that the doctors told my
- 18:48Speaker 1: mom listen, if she doesn't start treatment, she'd be dead
- 18:51Speaker 1: in three weeks. And like I am somebody that I
- 18:55Speaker 1: focus on the positive and I don't accept the negative.
- 18:59Speaker 1: And that's been a great tool. But I also feel
- 19:01Speaker 1: like because of that now to think through what does
- 19:06Speaker 1: that future look like, it's hard for me to chase
- 19:10Speaker 1: things that I feel is asking for too much. Does
- 19:14Speaker 1: that make sense?
- 19:15Speaker 2: It does make sense. So I think what I'm going
- 19:16Speaker 2: to share with you is my three pillars of redefining prosperity. Okay,
- 19:21Speaker 2: so let's break it down. There's three pillars well being, spirituality,
- 19:25Speaker 2: and healthy relationships with people and with money. And what
- 19:29Speaker 2: I have seen is when you embrace all of these pillars,
- 19:32Speaker 2: that's when you live that most prosperous life, when you
- 19:35Speaker 2: really embody them. So what you could do as you're
- 19:38Speaker 2: thinking about that vision and getting that clarity is really
- 19:42Speaker 2: look at each of those So thinking about well being, yes,
- 19:45Speaker 2: of course it's the you know, taking care of yourself, exercising,
- 19:50Speaker 2: eating well.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Like all the things.
- 19:51Speaker 2: But it's actually a bigger definition.
- 19:53Speaker 1: It's broader.
- 19:54Speaker 2: It's what are the things that really bring you joy?
- 19:57Speaker 1: Okay, what do you love to do? Yeah?
- 20:00Speaker 2: E spoil yourself. So I love like my regular massages.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I've been really getting back into them and committing to
- 20:06Speaker 2: them so I can actually live the life that I'm
- 20:09Speaker 2: sharing and teaching. Right, I want to really be in
- 20:12Speaker 2: full authenticity, So I'm like regular massages again, getting back
- 20:16Speaker 2: into it. I love beautiful grounding walks in nature, so
- 20:20Speaker 2: that's the well being. Then there's the spirituality pillar, and
- 20:24Speaker 2: that is simply the recognition that there's something bigger than
- 20:27Speaker 2: us out there, something bigger right for you? You said
- 20:30Speaker 2: God helped heal you. I talk a lot about the
- 20:32Speaker 2: universe and when you think about the universe as a mirror,
- 20:35Speaker 2: and what you're putting out is what you're getting back. Yes, right,
- 20:39Speaker 2: So if you're thinking lack scarcity, that's what you're getting back.
- 20:43Speaker 2: If you're thinking abundance, gratitude, that's how you're calling in
- 20:47Speaker 2: all the things you want. And that those healthy relationships
- 20:50Speaker 2: with people and with money, healthy relationships with people. Who
- 20:54Speaker 2: are you spending most of your time with? Right? We
- 20:56Speaker 2: are the average of the five people we spend our
- 20:58Speaker 2: most time with. Your relationships based off of lifting each
- 21:02Speaker 2: other up, rising each other? Or are they based off
- 21:05Speaker 2: gossiping and complaining?
- 21:07Speaker 1: Right?
- 21:07Speaker 2: So, really start to look at that. Who are you
- 21:09Speaker 2: spending your time with? Do they really make you feel joyful?
- 21:13Speaker 2: Do you have those laugh like you want to cry
- 21:16Speaker 2: kind of moments with them? Are you bragging for each
- 21:19Speaker 2: other and giving each other space to be celebrating?
- 21:23Speaker 1: And I think women are so good at that. And
- 21:25Speaker 1: I know even just knowing you and counting you as
- 21:28Speaker 1: a friend, Like I think that a lot of the
- 21:30Speaker 1: women that we surround ourselves with, it is so much
- 21:33Speaker 1: fun to celebrate each other. And there's been this shift
- 21:37Speaker 1: I believe in how women show up for each other
- 21:39Speaker 1: and it's gotten less competitive, which I think is amazing.
- 21:44Speaker 1: So that is empowering in and of itself, celebrating your
- 21:48Speaker 1: friends and the women that you see every day, because
- 21:54Speaker 1: it is it is reciprocal and empowered women do powerful things.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I used to go so there were three of
- 22:01Speaker 2: us and we'd go regularly to dinners and we would
- 22:03Speaker 2: all take ten minutes to brag about ourselves, Like we
- 22:06Speaker 2: would time it so that sometimes, you know, one person
- 22:09Speaker 2: could kind of take the whole time. Otherwise, this way
- 22:11Speaker 2: everyone gets an opportunity and just to celebrate each other.
- 22:14Speaker 2: So those are just fun little rituals. And then just
- 22:16Speaker 2: really quick that healthy relationship with money is really key.
- 22:19Speaker 2: So this is about your money mindset, which we talked about,
- 22:22Speaker 2: is your belief system, your thoughts, but it's also about
- 22:27Speaker 2: your money habits and this is really important, and I
- 22:30Speaker 2: know the beautiful work that you do is really aligned
- 22:33Speaker 2: with this, is like what are your money habits? Are
- 22:36Speaker 2: you avoiding your numbers or are you tackling money issues
- 22:39Speaker 2: head on? Are you talking about your money, are you
- 22:42Speaker 2: talking about your goals? Are you actually paying attention to
- 22:46Speaker 2: the money, planning for your cash flow, planning for taxes,
- 22:50Speaker 2: planning for your building wealth and your retirement. Those habits
- 22:54Speaker 2: are really key too with that relationship with money. So
- 22:57Speaker 2: all of those pillars are really a great way to
- 23:01Speaker 2: kind of get through what you talk about.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Okay, well that's great, I'm going to work on this.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I'm going to see where that I could maybe figure
- 23:07Speaker 1: this out. But I think if you as we wrap
- 23:11Speaker 1: this up, when you're thinking about Routchie at twelve years old,
- 23:18Speaker 1: twenty years old, or some of the women that are listening,
- 23:22Speaker 1: you know, the mindset work is so critical to having abundance.
- 23:27Speaker 1: But what are some really good money decisions that you've
- 23:32Speaker 1: made or that you would want to teach the younger
- 23:34Speaker 1: version of yourself that some of the listeners can take
- 23:38Speaker 1: and jot down real quick and try and implement.
- 23:41Speaker 2: So I think it starts with understanding what you're making
- 23:44Speaker 2: and spending yep, right, I mean you have to just
- 23:46Speaker 2: know what's happening. The information and the data is so
- 23:48Speaker 2: important and then start to really think about how do
- 23:52Speaker 2: you align that with your bigger goal, how do you
- 23:54Speaker 2: align that with what you want in your life? So
- 23:57Speaker 2: planning for that is key. So start early with your
- 24:01Speaker 2: retirement right, and it's never too late, of course, but
- 24:06Speaker 2: start early because the longer you're invested, the more wealth
- 24:10Speaker 2: you're building.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Well. Yeah, I always say it's not time in the market.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry, it's not timing the market. It's time in
- 24:16Speaker 1: the market. And starting yesterday was the best Starting today
- 24:21Speaker 1: is your next best option. And I would love for
- 24:25Speaker 1: you to clarify because I know how you feel about this.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Saving for retirement. You don't mean putting money under your mattress,
- 24:33Speaker 1: earn a bank account, because no one saves their way
- 24:36Speaker 1: to wealth and cash is the most expensive place to
- 24:39Speaker 1: hold money. So how would you clarify that?
- 24:43Speaker 2: I mean, you need to put your money to work. Yes, absolutely,
- 24:48Speaker 2: that's right. Put your money to work, because it is
- 24:51Speaker 2: not going to grow under a mattress or even in
- 24:53Speaker 2: a bank account, not the way you need it to.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Well, and if you think about when you're investing in
- 25:00Speaker 1: the market or in assets, that your money is working
- 25:03Speaker 1: for you while you're sleeping.
- 25:05Speaker 2: I mean and diversifying, right, yeah, yeah, that way.
- 25:09Speaker 1: No matter what happens, you are protected. And I think
- 25:14Speaker 1: also it allows you, it gives you like a shortcut
- 25:20Speaker 1: to taking the emotion out of money. I think that
- 25:23Speaker 1: you know, when you're looking at your money mindset, that's
- 25:26Speaker 1: all emotion. When you're looking at data, that should be
- 25:30Speaker 1: no emotion. And it's finding the balance of both to
- 25:34Speaker 1: build the successful life that you want for yourself. And
- 25:39Speaker 1: when you aren't diversified in a portfolio or in the
- 25:42Speaker 1: assets you hold, if something like a COVID happens, or
- 25:46Speaker 1: the market. You know, a few days ago the market
- 25:49Speaker 1: fell two percent, everyone's panicking. But if you own real
- 25:52Speaker 1: estate and you own you know, commodities or art or whatever,
- 25:59Speaker 1: you're not at upset about it because you're okay. And
- 26:04Speaker 1: I think that it's so important to marry the emotional
- 26:09Speaker 1: side and the data and factual base side absolutely beautiful.
- 26:15Speaker 1: So for anybody that is listening, that has fallen in
- 26:18Speaker 1: love with your messaging and work that you're doing, like
- 26:21Speaker 1: I know so many of us have what is up
- 26:24Speaker 1: and coming that's exciting? Where can we find you? How
- 26:28Speaker 1: do we keep more Roucci like Gucci in our lives heay.

- 27:07Speaker 1: have loved that product bag, but my girl here loves

- 27:13Speaker 1: know you can't see them, but I love that you
- 27:18Speaker 1: have still found a way to spoil yourself in those
- 27:21Speaker 1: ways that may not have mattered much then. But it's
- 27:24Speaker 1: okay to find those things that you like.
- 27:26Speaker 2: It's okay to find those things, but they're not what
- 27:28Speaker 2: makes me whole.
- 27:28Speaker 1: And that's the key.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Remember prosperities and inside job, all the outside stuff. If
- 27:32Speaker 2: you love it, and you can afford it, go for it,
- 27:36Speaker 2: yay all day.
