- 1:21Speaker 5: And oh yeah, the elephants are amazing.
- 1:25Speaker 4: I think elephants in general pretty cool.
- 1:27Speaker 6: They are one of the most interesting things in the world.
- 1:30Speaker 5: Funerals.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Well, it's super smart. And I see a lot of
- 1:32Speaker 4: videos where they're like they're doing stuff and you're like, wow,
- 1:35Speaker 4: they're they're they seem like they're pretty uh strategic.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what I mean. They can problem solve aar. Yeah,
- 1:42Speaker 2: but you're told that their brain is the size of peanut, right.
- 1:46Speaker 4: They like peanuts too, Is that true? Is it like
- 1:49Speaker 4: like mice like cheese, Like.
- 1:51Speaker 6: Oh, mice don't like cheese. I recently learned that.
- 1:53Speaker 4: So they don't like cheese. I heard that rabbits don't
- 1:55Speaker 4: really like carrots.
- 1:56Speaker 5: But they don't.
- 1:57Speaker 7: That was totally from a movie. Yeah, from like a
- 1:59Speaker 7: Kerry Grant movie.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Yeah, and so and so elephants don't like peanuts.
- 2:02Speaker 8: I don't know, like a couple of things going on here.
- 2:05Speaker 8: Elephant brain is the largest of any land mammals, so
- 2:07Speaker 8: it's bigger than ours.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Why yeah, is it just.
- 2:10Speaker 4: By scale, like compared to how big their head is,
- 2:12Speaker 4: Like yeah, yeah, yeah, weird.
- 2:15Speaker 7: Yeah, and they like grass and leaves and bark, not peanuts.
- 2:18Speaker 7: I don't know across Well, that's just because of the zoo.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Today is a World Calligraphy Day, which seems so old,
- 2:27Speaker 4: tim Yeah, it's a middle child day, Sammy, Are you
- 2:30Speaker 4: a middle child or youngest?
- 2:32Speaker 9: I'm the youngest girl, but I have a brother who's younger.
- 2:36Speaker 5: I have two older sisters and a younger.
- 2:37Speaker 9: Brotherild Yeah, I would to share the middle though, so
- 2:42Speaker 9: it doesn't like not.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Really a National Vinyl Record Day, and it's also National
- 2:47Speaker 4: Gooey Buttercake Day.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Inside, I think.
- 2:55Speaker 4: It's massively overrated. Over Yeah, it's I think I'll I'll
- 3:00Speaker 4: have a bite or two, but like.
- 3:02Speaker 6: Almost makes me upset that, you know.
- 3:05Speaker 4: It's Julianne Fries Day. That would that be more like
- 3:10Speaker 4: shoe string fries basically probably.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and Julian.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Julianne cut you know, Yeah, that's like little match eighth inch.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Yeah, they're real thin, real joints. Well, I was asking
- 3:23Speaker 4: me if we've seen like the vegetables like a zucchini
- 3:26Speaker 4: are like zucchinis that are cut that way.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I considered like super French, super French. Yeah, it's incredibly Yeah.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Alright, so Jeff, do you want to break the news
- 3:39Speaker 4: to Bort who's gonna be who's gonna be coming by?
- 3:42Speaker 10: Oh?
- 3:43Speaker 11: Yeah, the Mandalorian and grogu Hell.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm excited, like the best news ever. Yeah, we
- 3:50Speaker 4: just got an email that they're gonna be they're gonna become.
- 3:53Speaker 4: I don't think it's like guests per se on the show.
- 3:54Speaker 4: I think they're just kind of coming around and and
- 3:56Speaker 4: doing some like you know photo opportunities exactly.
- 4:00Speaker 11: Make sure everybody gets a picture for the Instagram.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Yeah, so I figured to make your day with that. Also,
- 4:05Speaker 4: I want to see how different the opinions could end
- 4:08Speaker 4: up being here. I don't know, maybe Greg will think
- 4:10Speaker 4: it's really cool. Okay, but here we go. This is
- 4:13Speaker 4: for you board a Star Wars fan, because that's your
- 4:17Speaker 4: well Transformers number one, right or Star Wars, I mean
- 4:20Speaker 4: number two.
- 4:21Speaker 5: They kind of tied for first into that universe.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I love but I'm saying Transformers and Star Wars
- 4:27Speaker 4: are his two biggest the best, yes, yeah, his two
- 4:30Speaker 4: biggest things. And all right, so star Wars. A Star
- 4:32Speaker 4: Wars fan from the UK visited one of Disney's Galaxy's
- 4:36Speaker 4: Edge Parks, not sure if it was Florida or the
- 4:38Speaker 4: one in Anaheim, but when he got home he missed
- 4:41Speaker 4: it and thought it was so cool he decided to
- 4:43Speaker 4: build a spaceship bar in his backyard. Greg okay, hold on,
- 4:49Speaker 4: Greg hold On. It cost him around twelve thousand dollars cool.
- 4:54Speaker 4: He built the outside of wood, rubber, foam, and fiberglass.
- 4:58Speaker 4: He used tongue and groove boards and tunel on the side,
- 5:01Speaker 4: and the spaceship has like the controls. There's a monitor
- 5:04Speaker 4: that's set up to look like a windshield.
- 5:06Speaker 2: He says.
- 5:07Speaker 4: When he first started telling family and friends and neighbors
- 5:10Speaker 4: about his idea, they were quote skeptical. But now that
- 5:14Speaker 4: it's built, quote, everyone absolutely loves it. So I have
- 5:18Speaker 4: some pictures here Greg, and we'll let Greg be the
- 5:21Speaker 4: judge of that.
- 5:21Speaker 2: But I also here.
- 5:22Speaker 4: I'll show I'll show Bort Okay, cool, let's this is?
- 5:26Speaker 4: This is in his backyard. What kind of ship would
- 5:28Speaker 4: this be? This kind of reminds me of what they
- 5:29Speaker 4: have on the ride, like the transport thing that they
- 5:32Speaker 4: use to like transport the prisoners.
- 5:33Speaker 12: It looks like an escape pod pretty much, an escape pod,
- 5:36Speaker 12: like a shuttle escape pod.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, it looks like it kind of looks
- 5:39Speaker 4: like an airstream camper. Even though he built this thing,
- 5:42Speaker 4: it looks like he kind of wrapped an airstream trailer
- 5:45Speaker 4: and then put like a couple and then put a
- 5:47Speaker 4: couple of engines on the side. Here as I passed
- 5:49Speaker 4: the outside pictures, now one Greg is just a close
- 5:52Speaker 4: up of this spaceship bar the bar thing he built.
- 5:54Speaker 4: And that one's kind of more like an aerial looking
- 5:56Speaker 4: down on the backyard. So as a neighbor, this is
- 5:58Speaker 4: what you would see.
- 6:00Speaker 2: That's definitely an airstream.
- 6:01Speaker 4: No, he built it. There's a whole video of him
- 6:04Speaker 4: building it. He built the frame and everything out of
- 6:06Speaker 4: an airstream. No, no, like wood and wood and stuff
- 6:08Speaker 4: and so. But that's what it looks like. It looks
- 6:10Speaker 4: like you just took like an air Yeah.
- 6:12Speaker 6: Okay, this guy has no business building anything. This is terrible.
- 6:17Speaker 6: It looks like first of all, it's a camping trailer
- 6:20Speaker 6: number one, number two. It's not though.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Again he built it from scratch, but it looks like putty.
- 6:25Speaker 6: Like it looks like putty. It looks like it's been
- 6:27Speaker 6: primed but not painted. And it also looks like it
- 6:31Speaker 6: got tinted for termites.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Yeah that's Star Wars.
- 6:34Speaker 6: It has these stupid rockety things on the side of
- 6:39Speaker 6: the Star Wars. Okay, yea, and he built it. He
- 6:43Speaker 6: could have chosen a shape that's more sleek. This would
- 6:46Speaker 6: not be aerodynamic. It's so dumb. This is would you
- 6:49Speaker 6: need aerodynamic in space?
- 6:51Speaker 2: I don't know. It looks like something I should be
- 6:54Speaker 2: in space balls not.
- 6:55Speaker 8: Yes, A lot of these stars, a lot of these
- 6:57Speaker 8: space ships and star Wars go in and out of atmosphere,
- 6:59Speaker 8: so yes you would.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Oh, I guess that's true. You know what fair points.
- 7:04Speaker 4: I was just thinking strictly space.
- 7:06Speaker 6: It's just really dumb. And if I had a two
- 7:09Speaker 6: story house and live next to this yard, I would
- 7:11Speaker 6: look down at it with so much anger.
- 7:14Speaker 8: That's the good news, right, it's mostly obstructed by fencing
- 7:17Speaker 8: and trubs.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Okay, they're not looking so bored as a big time
- 7:21Speaker 4: Star Wars fan.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Awful, Like, what do you.
- 7:24Speaker 4: What do you give this?
- 7:25Speaker 12: I would give it personally out of ten?
- 7:28Speaker 4: Would you mind if this was next audium? This is
- 7:31Speaker 4: your show?
- 7:32Speaker 12: Me and Wacko, who does a lot of videos for
- 7:34Speaker 12: us here. We send videos like this all the time
- 7:35Speaker 12: to each other. People building their.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Own Star Wars bars.
- 7:38Speaker 4: They're on Star Wars rooms seen like Star Wars like
- 7:40Speaker 4: man caves. It's awesome.
- 7:42Speaker 12: Even the interior looks pretty like to scale of what
- 7:45Speaker 12: would be in a Star Wars movie. But like this
- 7:47Speaker 12: is the start of a to scale the real ones.
- 7:49Speaker 12: Somebody could become a prop master doing this show.
- 7:52Speaker 2: The inside looks better than the outside.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that would never be at a theme park.
- 7:58Speaker 4: That's way too low quality. Okay, so eight point five.
- 8:01Speaker 4: The guy built in his backyard. He's not a Disney
- 8:03Speaker 4: Imagine here, which is an out of ten build.
- 8:05Speaker 6: This is what you would give. The interior shots are
- 8:09Speaker 6: if you wanted to make your five year old son's
- 8:11Speaker 6: bedroom a little more exciting.
- 8:13Speaker 4: For him getting but you didn't really careg what do
- 8:15Speaker 4: you give it?
- 8:17Speaker 6: Not even a one? A zero point three.
- 8:20Speaker 5: We can't even start traction.
- 8:22Speaker 2: It's terrible.
- 8:23Speaker 4: If you if you go online and People magazine did
- 8:26Speaker 4: like a big write up about this, about this dude.
- 8:28Speaker 2: About this guy. All you want to do is type
- 8:31Speaker 2: in spaceship bar Uk and you can find it.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Yeah, like Star Wars Spaceship bar Uk. It pops right up.
- 8:37Speaker 4: You'll see and love it.
- 8:40Speaker 6: They're just being nice.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Look, it's no Brady Bunch house.
- 8:43Speaker 6: Come on, you got that right, You got that right? Yeah,
- 8:47Speaker 6: twelve thousand dollars in the toilet?
- 8:49Speaker 4: Yeah, what did you say? What did you say? Your
- 8:52Speaker 4: favorite Star Wars movie is Empire Strikes Back, Empire Strikes Yeah,
- 8:56Speaker 4: and Return the Ged. And then as far as all
- 8:58Speaker 4: the shows and everything, because there's a ton of shows
- 9:02Speaker 4: tied between the Mandalorian, Like the Mandalorian is so freaking good.
- 9:05Speaker 4: And then the Clone Wars series. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's
- 9:07Speaker 4: always talking about the animated sa It is some of
- 9:10Speaker 4: the best Star Wars anyone could ever watch it. So
- 9:13Speaker 4: if you wanna, if you want to geek, come out
- 9:15Speaker 4: with Star Wars. I mean, board's definitely.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Right, yeah the war.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Let's go alright, top for your birthdays show.
- 9:25Speaker 6: It's shivery, it's shiver and.

- 9:46Speaker 4: I all think Sir mix a Lot died.

- 12:09Speaker 3: time where we check in with Gina grad to see
- 12:11Speaker 3: what's happening out there trending news headlines.
- 12:13Speaker 7: Well, I know you guys are going to be super stoked.
- 12:15Speaker 7: We have a Luigi Mangioni updates.
- 12:18Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, tell.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Me there are pictures of the hot Oh all right.
- 12:23Speaker 7: Well, the judge ruled the jurors will stay anonymous to
- 12:26Speaker 7: the public because quote, there's a risk of harassment, intimidation,
- 12:29Speaker 7: and outside influence from both sides. Right, So, just to
- 12:33Speaker 7: give you an idea of the hype around this case
- 12:35Speaker 7: that starts next month about twenty Mangioni. Supporters packed the
- 12:38Speaker 7: back rows of the courtroom yesterday and more than eighty
- 12:41Speaker 7: media outlets are covering the trial. So if you thought
- 12:44Speaker 7: this was already a circus, you really ain't seen nothing
- 12:46Speaker 7: until they seat this jury.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Heard an interesting story when I was at this radio conference,
- 12:52Speaker 4: something I had never heard because I know all the
- 12:53Speaker 4: people involved. So the breakfast club, the radio show with Charlottage,
- 12:58Speaker 4: the god dj Envy, they're out of New York City,
- 13:02Speaker 4: and the building where the radio station is is like
- 13:07Speaker 4: right next door to where this all took place. And
- 13:10Speaker 4: so dj Envy showed up that morning and he's got
- 13:14Speaker 4: a security guy that you know, travels with him, and
- 13:17Speaker 4: they saw this really weird guy kind of like hunched over,
- 13:21Speaker 4: hoodie over his head. The whole thing thought it was weird,
- 13:24Speaker 4: decided to go into the building through a back way
- 13:27Speaker 4: to avoid this person. That person turned out to be
- 13:29Speaker 4: Luigi Right. Another guy who works at the Classic rock
- 13:33Speaker 4: station was downstairs, you know, smoking a dart and had
- 13:38Speaker 4: his cigarette. Came back in minutes later is when the
- 13:43Speaker 4: police were just all over the place because the shooting
- 13:45Speaker 4: had just happened minutes after he finished smoking a cigarette,
- 13:48Speaker 4: and then another guy who does work for our show remotely,
- 13:51Speaker 4: you know, he's like a remote producer for us, works
- 13:55Speaker 4: at that same station. And to get to his car
- 13:58Speaker 4: because his car was parked like just two bots down
- 14:00Speaker 4: on the street from you know where this whole thing
- 14:02Speaker 4: took place, so he had to be walked through the
- 14:04Speaker 4: crime scene to get to his car. I'd never heard
- 14:08Speaker 4: any of this stuff before. I talk to these people
- 14:10Speaker 4: all the time.
- 14:10Speaker 5: And this just came up.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, good god, Yeah, like it was right there,
- 14:16Speaker 4: like you know, Envy saw this guy. Uh, you know,
- 14:20Speaker 4: this guy Jim was smoking a cigarette and moments later
- 14:23Speaker 4: is when the shooting happened. Yeah, it was pretty wild.
- 14:27Speaker 5: That's insane.
- 14:28Speaker 4: And within minutes We're not talking like, oh, it's kind
- 14:30Speaker 4: of I walked through that area once.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Yeah, I would say like it was like earlier, it.
- 14:36Speaker 4: Was within moments.
- 14:38Speaker 5: That's so insane. Yeah, crazy, Well tonight.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I was gonna say, what's crazy? As you
- 14:43Speaker 2: say smoking a dart, I feel like I'm hearing that
- 14:45Speaker 2: more and more. Yeah, but smoking at Dart because you
- 14:50Speaker 2: know Tom's girl and his wife just Christina, Christina, uh
- 14:57Speaker 2: whatever did she finally released podcast after and then that's
- 15:01Speaker 2: all she said, is like I'm gonna smoke a dart.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Like through the entire podcast, I'm like, I never hear
- 15:06Speaker 2: anybody say smoke a dart.
- 15:07Speaker 4: That's been around for a long time. Yeah, it's not new.
- 15:11Speaker 7: Well tonight's powerball jackpot is over a billion dollars officially.
- 15:15Speaker 7: That's the biggest powerball jackpot of twenty twenty six and
- 15:18Speaker 7: still the eighth largest in history.
- 15:20Speaker 5: We can't get to the next crack that seven.
- 15:23Speaker 4: It could be somebody's last day of work, maybe sew
- 15:27Speaker 4: for sure.
- 15:28Speaker 7: If you if you somehow beat those odds, you know
- 15:30Speaker 7: they're one in two hundred ninety two point two million,
- 15:33Speaker 7: you can take the yearly payout or grab the lump
- 15:36Speaker 7: some which is a nice little payout of four hundred
- 15:38Speaker 7: and thirty three million dollars. So yeah, someone might become
- 15:41Speaker 7: a billion at a night. We probably won't see him tomorrow.
- 15:43Speaker 7: And Mother Nature is putting the hurt on inmates now.
- 15:47Speaker 7: Sixteen inmates at Ohio's Graft and Correctional Institution near Cleveland
- 15:52Speaker 7: were sent to the hospital after lightning struck the press.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Not only are you in prison, you're in prison in Cleveland.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Yeah, and you get hit by light.
- 16:00Speaker 7: Exactly, were heading back from dinner when the lightning struck.
- 16:06Speaker 7: One person was hurt so badly they had to be
- 16:08Speaker 7: airlifted to the hospital. No deaths though, So are they
- 16:12Speaker 7: lucky or unlucky? Yeah, might be lucky.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Did you see the video of the guy. They're out
- 16:17Speaker 4: on the golf course and he's standing under a tree
- 16:19Speaker 4: and he's watching his buddy who's got his golf card,
- 16:22Speaker 4: kind of just outside of the shade or the cover
- 16:25Speaker 4: of the tree shade.
- 16:26Speaker 2: In the rain.
- 16:26Speaker 4: But anyway, thunder and lightning going on, and this guy
- 16:29Speaker 4: is standing under the tree gets hit by lightning. He's
- 16:31Speaker 4: the one videotaping, laughing at his buddy, and all of
- 16:33Speaker 4: a sudden.
- 16:33Speaker 5: Like, oh my god, does he just go straight down?
- 16:37Speaker 2: Yeah? The video ends.
- 16:38Speaker 4: You don't say, I don't know if he if anybody
- 16:41Speaker 4: else saw that knows more about it. Did that guy
- 16:43Speaker 4: live or die? I don't I'm thinking he lived.
- 16:45Speaker 5: That sounds like a very Sopranos ending.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I just don't know what happened. But here, buddy,
- 16:51Speaker 2: you died, and your buddy still uploads the video to
- 16:53Speaker 2: the internet.
- 16:55Speaker 4: These views dudes, you know.
- 16:58Speaker 7: Yeah, Well, speaking of riding the lightning, you're gonna love this, Woodie. Tennessee, Alabama,
- 17:04Speaker 7: and Oklahoma plan to execute inmates tomorrow and what would
- 17:07Speaker 7: be the first time in nearly sixteen years that three
- 17:10Speaker 7: people are put to death on the same day.
- 17:12Speaker 4: No, yes, yeah, I like the efficiency. Yeah.
- 17:17Speaker 7: Alabama is scheduled to execute Jeremy Williams. He raped and
- 17:20Speaker 7: murdered a five year old. He also killed his own daughter.
- 17:23Speaker 4: He'll be yeah, you know what, you know, I'm not
- 17:26Speaker 4: sure what we're gonna do without him, but.
- 17:27Speaker 5: You need him.
- 17:28Speaker 6: And you know, they'll be people outside the prison protesting.
- 17:31Speaker 7: Oh yeah, every time Tennessee plans to should put them
- 17:34Speaker 7: in there with them.
- 17:35Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Right.
- 17:35Speaker 7: They plan to execute Anthony Darryl Hines, who stabbed a
- 17:39Speaker 7: woman to death, and Oklahoma is scheduled to execute Carlos
- 17:42Speaker 7: Quaista Rodriguez, who murdered his girlfriend.
- 17:45Speaker 4: It'll be fun, okay, So all the people that want
- 17:47Speaker 4: to save the person, right, Okay, so you give everybody
- 17:50Speaker 4: a button, right, and then everybody's got you get a
- 17:53Speaker 4: chance to push the button. Now that button will either
- 17:56Speaker 4: result in him being stayed. Yeah a that that's what
- 18:01Speaker 4: flips the switch.
- 18:02Speaker 6: Oh, It's like when you come through customs in Caracuon.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you fushed that button. If it's red, you
- 18:07Speaker 2: gotta look.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Give your conditional screening and stuff.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Now the trick is, see is it always just executes
- 18:13Speaker 4: the guy?
- 18:14Speaker 10: Ah?
- 18:15Speaker 4: Well, I mean you know, luck of the draw.
- 18:17Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, Well eleven states executed a total of forty
- 18:23Speaker 7: seven people last year, which is the highest number since
- 18:26Speaker 7: two thousand and nine, and so far this year there
- 18:29Speaker 7: have been nineteen executions.
- 18:30Speaker 5: Excellent, So fut start keep going on the right track.
- 18:34Speaker 6: Yeah, you go.
- 18:36Speaker 4: This goes you know to my other idea that I
- 18:39Speaker 4: had for death row is that when you have a
- 18:41Speaker 4: person who's scheduled to be executed, you don't tell the
- 18:44Speaker 4: person what day it's supposed to happen. It's always a
- 18:48Speaker 4: mystery because guess what, their victim didn't have that luxury.
- 18:52Speaker 4: They weren't told today's your last day, Like, oh, you know,
- 18:56Speaker 4: two weeks from now is your day? I'm told that.
- 18:58Speaker 4: So every day there's like a guy who comes in,
- 19:01Speaker 4: starts walking down the you know, walking down the road,
- 19:04Speaker 4: pre shows up, kind of looks in, goes kind of
- 19:07Speaker 4: like we do for a hot seat. Yeah, I say,
- 19:09Speaker 4: it's like the hot seat, all right, menace today is
- 19:11Speaker 4: not your day. Stand by and just let him sweat
- 19:18Speaker 4: it out, you know what I mean. Go down to
- 19:19Speaker 4: the next one, get the key into the lock and go.
- 19:23Speaker 4: You know, he's not working. Today's not your day. And
- 19:26Speaker 4: then you go to this other guy, all right, man,
- 19:27Speaker 4: let's go and then you that's.
- 19:29Speaker 6: It, that's what. Yeah, it is your day.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Yeah, they didn't, they didn't give their their victims that
- 19:33Speaker 4: kind of you know, courtesy.
- 19:35Speaker 5: That's a great point.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Yeah, and just let them every day. Wonder is today
- 19:38Speaker 4: the day?
- 19:40Speaker 6: And then we also have to do away with the
- 19:42Speaker 6: whole He's not healthy enough to be executed today, so
- 19:44Speaker 6: we're going to wait a week.
- 19:45Speaker 5: How does that work? Give him some penicillin and then.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Right, yeah, it doesn't matter. It's like when you tell
- 19:50Speaker 4: the person who's like, you know, ninety one years old
- 19:53Speaker 4: and they're in hospice and you tell me they can't
- 19:55Speaker 4: have a cigarette?
- 19:56Speaker 2: Why, yeah, smoking.
- 19:58Speaker 7: Card a day enough? What happened to putting people out
- 20:01Speaker 7: of their misery?
- 20:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, it's all so stupid. Yeah.
- 20:06Speaker 7: Well, finally it's back to school season. The University of
- 20:09Speaker 7: Michigan is in the news for something they're rolling out.
- 20:12Speaker 7: Check out this headline. It says University of Michigan, pivoting
- 20:15Speaker 7: away from letter grading system to quote curb the mental
- 20:19Speaker 7: health crisis.
- 20:20Speaker 5: Among college students. You got to so you get like
- 20:23Speaker 5: a sunshine or a rainbow.
- 20:24Speaker 7: Incoming freshmen in their College of Literature, Science, and Art
- 20:28Speaker 7: won't have traditional letter grades on their transcript for their
- 20:32Speaker 7: first semester. Their official transcripts and GPAs will only show
- 20:36Speaker 7: pass or no credit. The University of Michigan says the
- 20:40Speaker 7: idea is to ease the transition into college and help
- 20:43Speaker 7: with mental health pressures facing college.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Well, that's not preparing these kids for real life. Like,
- 20:48Speaker 4: if you were going to do that, you should have
- 20:49Speaker 4: done that in high school. But here's the thing with
- 20:51Speaker 4: college is the prep course for life what it's supposed
- 20:54Speaker 4: to be.
- 20:55Speaker 5: I totally agree. But here's the thing.
- 20:56Speaker 7: Every time I hear you or someone say that's not
- 20:58Speaker 7: preparing them for real life, it gives me a pit
- 21:01Speaker 7: in my stomach because I think, oh, no, this is
- 21:03Speaker 7: the real life they're creating. This is going to be
- 21:05Speaker 7: their real life. Yeah everything, Yeah, this is the new
- 21:09Speaker 7: real life.
- 21:10Speaker 5: That's scarier.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Ninety percent of it is just showing up, and it's
- 21:13Speaker 2: just saying you just show up the class and you're
- 21:16Speaker 2: going to pass.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Yeah, you'll get a horsey instead of an egg.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Yeah, you get to stop by the treasure chest.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly, Penciler, that's right.
- 21:25Speaker 6: I see your point. It kind of is becoming real life.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Yeah, like that is now.
- 21:29Speaker 6: Especially through changing language. You know, Oh, don't call them
- 21:32Speaker 6: homeless their own house, neighbors, like stuff like that is
- 21:36Speaker 6: unlived and unlived. It makes it just so soft soft.
- 21:40Speaker 5: And I get it.
- 21:41Speaker 7: Language changes. That is always has But yeah, I think
- 21:44Speaker 7: like we're preparing them for We're not prepared for the
- 21:47Speaker 7: life that they're stepping into. Like we're used to working hard.
- 21:50Speaker 6: It's very rare that I get slightly happy that I'm
- 21:53Speaker 6: kind of getting older, you know, because I think, like
- 21:56Speaker 6: I kind of don't want to see what's happening in
- 21:58Speaker 6: the future.
- 21:58Speaker 2: I'll be happy to be gone.
- 21:59Speaker 7: Yeah, because Greg and I are those people that we
- 22:01Speaker 7: don't need to be like the ten people that survived
- 22:03Speaker 7: the apocalypse.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Texting over a couple different updates, three two three says
- 22:08Speaker 4: the guy who got struck by the lightning on the
- 22:09Speaker 4: golf course, he will have a full recovery. Uh. Someone
- 22:13Speaker 4: for says, if you execute the killer you're as bad
- 22:16Speaker 4: as the killer. If you execute the guy who raped
- 22:19Speaker 4: and murdered five year old girl and then also killed
- 22:22Speaker 4: his own young daughter, you're totally the same by executing
- 22:26Speaker 4: that person as a consequence of his actions through the
- 22:30Speaker 4: legal means, like he went through this is not vigilante process. Yeah,
- 22:34Speaker 4: thing that makes you just as bad as the guy
- 22:36Speaker 4: who raped and murdered a five year old.
- 22:38Speaker 5: That's an interesting directly that is you nailed, nailed it.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Retarded.
- 22:46Speaker 5: It's still early show.
- 22:50Speaker 4: So this guy from the ESPN Matt Miller, he's one
- 22:55Speaker 4: of their analysts. He survived a car crash, but it
- 22:58Speaker 4: did cost him his arm, and now he's being charged
- 23:03Speaker 4: because according to the cops, is super sweet and he's
- 23:06Speaker 4: got a Ford Bronco. He crossed the center line and
- 23:10Speaker 4: that's when he slammed onto the oncoming semi. Now the
- 23:12Speaker 4: whole thing on dash cam video. He's thrown from the car.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Like I said, saved his life, but left arm is done. Done,
- 23:20Speaker 4: So he's stepping away from his gig at ESPN and
- 23:24Speaker 4: definitely and not only this issue and the charges now,
- 23:29Speaker 4: but Matt also has the Missouri Attorney General investigating him
- 23:34Speaker 4: for fantasy football leagues that allegedly didn't pay out winnings
- 23:38Speaker 4: to the participants. So it's got a lot going.
- 23:41Speaker 5: On, right, he's busy man. Yeah, his wife must be thrilled.
- 23:45Speaker 4: Yeah, what was okay that documentary? What's her name? Owens?
- 23:49Speaker 4: The la the daughter of the radio guy Ron Owens?
- 23:55Speaker 4: Who's this Bay area like San Francisco.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Bay area radio guy? Radio legend?
- 24:00Speaker 4: Okay. I think legend's another one of those words. It
- 24:02Speaker 4: gets thrown around too much. But in this case, by
- 24:05Speaker 4: the way, especially by Jeff, I've noticed a lot whenever
- 24:07Speaker 4: there's like somebody agreed, whoever, like totally agreed, legend, I
- 24:13Speaker 4: completely agreed, But I say legend a lot.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that's one of your crudjets.
- 24:17Speaker 4: I think some of.
- 24:18Speaker 11: It can be sarcasm a little bit, but I do
- 24:21Speaker 11: use that word alone.
- 24:22Speaker 4: But in Ron's case, it does pertain anyway. So I
- 24:27Speaker 4: heard you guys talking about the daughter. This is the
- 24:29Speaker 4: daughter that like made up all this.
- 24:30Speaker 7: Crazy multiple pregnancies. Yeah, yeah, I perjured herself like fifty
- 24:34Speaker 7: billion times.
- 24:35Speaker 2: But she makes because she did it to somebody that
- 24:38Speaker 2: was Now.
- 24:41Speaker 4: I was reading some radio industry trade publication thing yesterday,
- 24:46Speaker 4: some news site I didn't know that Ron Owens had
- 24:48Speaker 4: his own legal issues.
- 24:49Speaker 5: Oh yeah, and his wife Jance.
- 24:52Speaker 4: So the dad of that crazy chick.
- 24:55Speaker 6: Yeah, there's a lot going on in that regard. Now,
- 24:58Speaker 6: correct if I'm wrong, But and I'm not going to
- 25:01Speaker 6: get into specifics, even though it's publican foe. Ron is
- 25:04Speaker 6: going through some pretty serious health issues. They claim that
- 25:09Speaker 6: quote somebody set up a GoFundMe to help a friend,
- 25:13Speaker 6: to help with medical expenses.
- 25:15Speaker 4: I saw something about the GoFundMe in the article.
- 25:17Speaker 7: That even in the goun that this will not be
- 25:19Speaker 7: used for Laura's you know.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Defense, Yeah, exactly.
- 25:22Speaker 6: And it turns out it was the wife, Ron's wife
- 25:26Speaker 6: that set up the GoFundMe, not a friend. And then
- 25:29Speaker 6: they did an audit to find that out of one
- 25:32Speaker 6: hundred and thirty five thousand raised, I believe it was
- 25:35Speaker 6: about two hundred and eighty dollars went to a Copey
- 25:39Speaker 6: and the rest was for their Macy's mortgage, like thousands
- 25:44Speaker 6: a month for Yeah.
- 25:45Speaker 4: So the article that I saw was about how they
- 25:48Speaker 4: had tried to declare bankruptcy. The bankruptcy got denied.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Because they're closing on their house.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Now they're saying the court at least is saying that, no,
- 25:56Speaker 4: we don't believe that your financial situation is as Diers
- 26:00Speaker 4: you're painting it out to be. So you're not allowed
- 26:02Speaker 4: to declare bankruptcy for the next two or three years.
- 26:05Speaker 4: And now this opens the door with all the creditors
- 26:07Speaker 4: for the neast two or three years to come get whatever.
- 26:10Speaker 5: And that's why we'll just take the house.
- 26:12Speaker 4: And there's gonna be a weird Christmas and Thanksgiving between
- 26:15Speaker 4: Laura and the daughter going down, the dad, the wife's
- 26:18Speaker 4: all involved.
- 26:20Speaker 9: Yeah, but on the door dash thing, we go, no,
- 26:23Speaker 9: it is reasonable because people who are going through medical issues,
- 26:26Speaker 9: that's one of the biggest things. People set up meal trains.
- 26:29Speaker 9: They're sending food to them all day.
- 26:31Speaker 5: We'll give them door dash.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Okay, I'm like the dollars worth Well, the court, I'm
- 26:38Speaker 4: sure has information.
- 26:39Speaker 5: That we don't have.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Yeah, that was made visible to them that I said, oh,
- 26:44Speaker 4: we know what, We're not really convinced.
- 26:46Speaker 7: And like any the alleged con artists, this kept getting
- 26:49Speaker 7: pushed back and pushed back and pushed back because they
- 26:51Speaker 7: just you know, it's like, oh, the checks and the
- 26:52Speaker 7: mail did it fall out of the envelope like a lot.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Of things were done when it was.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Supposed to be. These are the type of people Greg
- 26:58Speaker 2: is friends with.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Yeah, this is Greg's but he's a friend or you
- 27:05Speaker 4: just like know him, like it's a like a professional acquaintance.
- 27:08Speaker 6: He has since moved to Arizona. But when we were
- 27:11Speaker 6: in the same city, we would go to dinner.
- 27:13Speaker 4: On the run, yes, go on the lamb.
- 27:15Speaker 6: We would hide out and we would scam. But the
- 27:19Speaker 6: backpedaling is incredible because this go fund me not only
- 27:23Speaker 6: now are they saying, uh, you know what, it wasn't
- 27:26Speaker 6: a friend, it was you that set it up. Now
- 27:28Speaker 6: she's saying that it's out in the open. And I
- 27:30Speaker 6: never said it was for medical expenses, which was exactly
- 27:35Speaker 6: go fundmes are for. It's exactly what you mean for
- 27:38Speaker 6: other people.
- 27:39Speaker 4: We've had the game that we play on the show
- 27:41Speaker 4: Go fund Yourself, where Seabats finds those people who are
- 27:44Speaker 4: like just trying to go on a trip somewhere.
- 27:45Speaker 2: But at least they say this is what it's for
- 27:47Speaker 2: about it.
- 27:48Speaker 7: Yeah, And they have another daughter who lives in New York,
- 27:51Speaker 7: who they say is very sympathetic and very but I
- 27:54Speaker 7: mean clearly.
- 27:55Speaker 5: Wants no part of this family's drama.
- 27:57Speaker 7: Can you imagine it's like my sister, my parents, Like
- 27:59Speaker 7: I got to get away from these people.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I'm like, I don't know, Greg, do you
- 28:06Speaker 2: want to still be friends with them?
- 28:07Speaker 6: I mean I haven't talked to him in a long time.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm just wondering, man, Like, you know, you see
- 28:11Speaker 4: these things and I think to myself, and it sucks
- 28:16Speaker 4: to have to think this way. You see or hear
- 28:18Speaker 4: about from somebody that you know, like trust whatever, friends with,
- 28:22Speaker 4: family with or whatever, a gofund me or something that's happening,
- 28:25Speaker 4: and you go, Okay, maybe I should wait, is this real?
- 28:29Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 28:29Speaker 4: You know what I mean, Like you're second guessing. You're
- 28:32Speaker 4: second guessing everything because it seems like everybody is trying
- 28:35Speaker 4: to scam everybody.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and everything.
- 28:36Speaker 4: Somebody said, I just got an email from an aunt
- 28:38Speaker 4: that's say that she was having a party and she
- 28:40Speaker 4: sent out the evite and you click on the invitation,
- 28:42Speaker 4: It's it's some sort of cyber hack from another country. God,
- 28:46Speaker 4: evites are trashy, right, Greg. Yeah, it's like it's like
- 28:51Speaker 4: it's like digital cards.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like the ivitation. I'm surprised they were able
- 28:58Speaker 2: to raise so much money.
- 28:59Speaker 5: Yeah, and you love this guy.
- 29:01Speaker 7: And I literally just gave to a GoFundMe this morning
- 29:04Speaker 7: and thought to myself, I love being in a world
- 29:06Speaker 7: where we're willing to help each other.
- 29:08Speaker 5: And then you have stories.
- 29:09Speaker 4: Sure, sure it's good, but there's so many charities where
- 29:15Speaker 4: you know, the overhead of that charity is so high,
- 29:17Speaker 4: very little of the money that they bring in goes
- 29:19Speaker 4: to the actual charity, or there's so many hopes that
- 29:21Speaker 4: people have to jump through just to try to get it.
- 29:23Speaker 4: So clearly somebody set it up to have a nice
- 29:26Speaker 4: little paycheck coming in, have it be like something that
- 29:29Speaker 4: not a lot of people really question. And then you
- 29:32Speaker 4: get to say you do it all for charity, and
- 29:34Speaker 4: you know, look like a really good person. But the
- 29:37Speaker 4: people who are supposed to benefiting from it have like
- 29:39Speaker 4: a hell of a time trying to get any benefit
- 29:41Speaker 4: from it.
- 29:42Speaker 7: And when when you come out, like when it comes
- 29:45Speaker 7: out that you're completely full of crap, doesn't go fund
- 29:48Speaker 7: me shut that down like they.
- 29:50Speaker 5: Do that a lot.
- 29:50Speaker 2: I think, so I would do so because that's.
- 29:54Speaker 5: Kind of on that's the responsibility I would.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Know, because the money is with GoFundMe. So do you
- 29:59Speaker 4: get your money back because it is like if you
- 30:01Speaker 4: donated to the go fundme, like how it turns out
- 30:04Speaker 4: it's it's a it's a thing, like does GoFundMe just
- 30:08Speaker 4: send the money back down.
- 30:09Speaker 2: To yeah account, Yeah, so they get access.
- 30:15Speaker 4: I thought it would have to be until the GoFundMe
- 30:17Speaker 4: closes and then once it closes, they send them the
- 30:20Speaker 4: money in the meantime. Maybe it said I don't know
- 30:22Speaker 4: how it works. I don't know how it works, but
- 30:24Speaker 4: I certainly know I'm not giving anything to the Owen's family.
- 30:28Speaker 4: The legends that they are, the legend.
- 30:31Speaker 6: That's the ultimate case.
- 30:32Speaker 4: Never heard of him, Yeah, dude, you're from You're from
- 30:36Speaker 4: the San Francisco radio for sixteen years in San Francisco.
- 30:40Speaker 4: I heard the name, but I never heard of him
- 30:43Speaker 4: until I knew a lot of legends in that area.
- 30:47Speaker 4: But yeah, and that's working in that city. That shocks
- 30:52Speaker 4: will still never heard because before they had the station,
- 30:55Speaker 4: was he on KG Powerhouse.
- 30:57Speaker 6: Which no longer exists.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Never listened to that station, Maybe that's what.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Yeah, it was the number one station for I think
- 31:02Speaker 6: twenty five years before they was rating.
- 31:04Speaker 2: A top station.
- 31:05Speaker 5: But if that's not your station, you don't know who's.
- 31:07Speaker 2: On No, I would know, Like in that market, no
- 31:10Speaker 2: one will no. But like doctor don Rose, that's like
- 31:13Speaker 2: see in the same everybody knew who that dude was.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Sure rickshaw rip.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Did they really have a thing on GoFundMe where you
- 31:21Speaker 4: can tip? Okay?
- 31:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, somebody would.
- 31:24Speaker 4: Text just texted over. I found out the GoFundMe.
- 31:27Speaker 2: What's what?
- 31:28Speaker 1: Okay?
- 31:28Speaker 2: Quote tip?
- 31:29Speaker 7: I donated to this morning a couple hundred dollars to
- 31:33Speaker 7: somebody who desperately needed it for one Can I can actually?
- 31:37Speaker 5: Can I say who it is?
- 31:39Speaker 4: I mean, if you want to, I would like to.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Depends on what it's for, we might make fun of it.
- 31:43Speaker 5: I go for it. I think it make you a
- 31:45Speaker 5: really bad person.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Well, we don't know what it is. It's like, oh
- 31:48Speaker 4: this person does.
- 31:49Speaker 7: Okay, I'll just put it on put them on a
- 31:51Speaker 7: blast right now?
- 31:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you know.
- 31:53Speaker 5: Are well.
- 31:54Speaker 7: My very dear friend Bald Bryan from Corolla Show, he's
- 31:58Speaker 7: gotten very.
- 32:00Speaker 4: He's been sick for he's gotten sicker and he is
- 32:03Speaker 4: not doing cans cancer.
- 32:05Speaker 7: Right brain cancer, but he's having als symptoms. He's having
- 32:09Speaker 7: a trouble breathing, he can't move his hands, he's in
- 32:11Speaker 7: the hospital.
- 32:11Speaker 5: It's very bad.
- 32:12Speaker 7: So they're trying to get home care. They're trying to
- 32:15Speaker 7: get all kinds of stuff. So please go to go
- 32:18Speaker 7: fund me for Brian Bishop with a wife. So I donated,
- 32:21Speaker 7: you know, a couple hundred bucks and it said like
- 32:23Speaker 7: two hundred and thirty seven, and I go, that's weird.
- 32:25Speaker 5: I put in two hundred What is this? And it
- 32:27Speaker 5: said do you want to tip? GoFundMe?
- 32:29Speaker 7: And I'm like, is this like when you Is this
- 32:31Speaker 7: like when you order on your own at like the
- 32:33Speaker 7: fast food.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Place, tip goes to you to go go fund I
- 32:38Speaker 2: can explain it.
- 32:38Speaker 5: I didn't know either.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Go fund me try. Go fund Me tries to give
- 32:41Speaker 2: as much funds to whoever needs the funds, but they
- 32:46Speaker 2: still have to operate the website. So they asked like, hey,
- 32:50Speaker 2: do you want It's kind of like Wikipedia that are
- 32:52Speaker 2: always asking for like donations to keep the website going.
- 32:56Speaker 2: It's just help to keep the website going.
- 32:59Speaker 4: I like wikip, I don't care if it sticks around,
- 33:02Speaker 4: not enough to make a tip while you're here. While
- 33:07Speaker 4: you're here, I'll use your mostly correct information. But if
- 33:11Speaker 4: it went away tomorrow, Yeah.
- 33:13Speaker 7: I've seen what age it says, I am on there,
- 33:15Speaker 7: I'm good with just hey.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna click the hell.
- 33:25Speaker 4: And we kind of got on a tangent that last
- 33:28Speaker 4: segment talking about uh, the guy from ESPN, Matt Miller,
- 33:33Speaker 4: who survived the car crash, lost his arm, but survived
- 33:36Speaker 4: the car crash. According to the cops, he crossed over the
- 33:39Speaker 4: center line and he slammed head on into this, uh,
- 33:41Speaker 4: this truck, and doctor saved his arm.
- 33:44Speaker 2: I'm gonna saved his life and not his arm.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Yeah, And so he's being charged for not maintaining you know, line,
- 33:53Speaker 4: center line whatever whatever that that charge is. But it
- 33:57Speaker 4: just you know, it's compounded because he's got the Missouri
- 34:00Speaker 4: Attorney General investigating him for that fantasy football league where
- 34:04Speaker 4: they allegedly didn't pay out the winnings to the contestants.
- 34:07Speaker 4: And dumbass Tyler was telling me how there's a thought
- 34:12Speaker 4: out there that this was a failed suicide attempt. Damn right,
- 34:17Speaker 4: because he was being investigated. So, like, you made a
- 34:21Speaker 4: good point. It's like sons of anarchy man Jack's teller. Yeah, exactly, Yeah,
- 34:25Speaker 4: just like right into a truck just ends it all.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Would the repercussions of that be worthy of a suicide attempt. Well,
- 34:32Speaker 2: I'm sure it's like wire or fraud and that's always big, right.
- 34:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know, like what the
- 34:37Speaker 4: what the end result could be, if there's jail time
- 34:40Speaker 4: or whatever for that. I mean, some people can't handle
- 34:43Speaker 4: the smallest inconvenience, you know, or the smallest you know,
- 34:47Speaker 4: stress stress, you know, and they forgot, well who is
- 34:51Speaker 4: this here? Oh the quitter Brad Pitt? Right, yeah, yeah,
- 34:59Speaker 4: turn up. So Brad Pitt was doing this interview with
- 35:02Speaker 4: Esquire and about how he's drinking again and seven years
- 35:07Speaker 4: or something, and then I guess the topic of suicide
- 35:09Speaker 4: came up. And he said the one and only time,
- 35:11Speaker 4: Brad Pitt, the one and only time he ever thought
- 35:13Speaker 4: about it. It was about family stuff. That's all he
- 35:15Speaker 4: would say. Family stuff.
- 35:17Speaker 2: There's some thing that happened with him in a private
- 35:20Speaker 2: jet that's like torn apart his family ever since.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Really it was like a scuffle.
- 35:24Speaker 9: He was wasted on it.
- 35:26Speaker 5: Yeah, and apparently they had like restrain him. He kids did.
- 35:28Speaker 4: He scared his whole family.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Yeah, all changed their last names.
- 35:32Speaker 4: And for not following celebrity news. I didn't know about that.
- 35:36Speaker 2: It all happened because of this one private jet.
- 35:38Speaker 4: When he said family stuff, I just figured like, oh,
- 35:40Speaker 4: it's because they were going through their separation.
- 35:42Speaker 2: And divorce.
- 35:45Speaker 5: Or metal or whatever hold him down.
- 35:48Speaker 4: But if Brad Pitt's considering, even for a brief moments,
- 35:52Speaker 4: like dude, you're Brad Pitt, You're rich, You're you're the
- 35:56Speaker 4: example that everybody used, well no, Brad Pitt. Yeah, you know,
- 35:59Speaker 4: you're that handsome that you're the example that people would
- 36:02Speaker 4: use for the longest time decades.
- 36:04Speaker 2: You've become a yeah.
- 36:06Speaker 4: So I mean, you know, not everybody's cut out to
- 36:10Speaker 4: hang in there, you know, and they at least consider
- 36:12Speaker 4: whether they try attempt to go through with it.
- 36:14Speaker 2: That's that's that's a different thing about balance, Brad, you know.
- 36:18Speaker 4: Yeah, take it from Menace bread.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:21Speaker 4: Also, Greg would like to applaud the fact that you're
- 36:23Speaker 4: back drinking.
- 36:23Speaker 11: Absolutely.
- 36:26Speaker 4: I was just reading about the whole thing. I'm like,
- 36:27Speaker 4: oh there, why is this the news story right? People
- 36:31Speaker 4: talking about it because he was very vocal. I guess
- 36:33Speaker 4: because Bradley Cooper had helped him get sober and that
- 36:36Speaker 4: was six years ago. But man, he's back baby. Yeah,
- 36:40Speaker 4: So he's drinking in a more restrained manner. He says, quote,
- 36:44Speaker 4: I have a quote here. I can have a few
- 36:46Speaker 4: glasses of wine, but I can't have a lot. I
- 36:48Speaker 4: have to be professional about it.
- 36:50Speaker 2: That's good balance can sixty two.
- 36:53Speaker 6: By the way, Yeah, drinking up.
- 36:55Speaker 5: Yeah, everybody's getting those lower facelifts.
- 36:59Speaker 4: They look good man. That's you know. I got to say, like,
- 37:03Speaker 4: drinking drugs causes so many problems, right, I mean not
- 37:07Speaker 4: just for your health, but in all other ways, your job,
- 37:10Speaker 4: your family, all this other stuff. Thank god, thank god.
- 37:15Speaker 4: I never you know, thank god, I don't have a
- 37:17Speaker 4: taste for alcohol, like I'll drink socially. And Greg and
- 37:21Speaker 4: I Greg, you know, he's very disappointed when I say this.
- 37:24Speaker 4: But if somebody said, you know, hey, Woodie, you can
- 37:26Speaker 4: never have another drop of alcohol in your life, be
- 37:29Speaker 4: it a doctor telling you for whatever medical purpose, or
- 37:32Speaker 4: it was one of the hey, uh, you know, fifty
- 37:35Speaker 4: thousand dollars, but you can never have another drop of
- 37:38Speaker 4: alcohol in your life, like done, same easy, would not
- 37:42Speaker 4: wouldn't be wouldn't wouldn't even be a thought. I would
- 37:45Speaker 4: never think about it. I don't never want to say that.
- 37:47Speaker 6: I get a about it, Like I can't even fathom
- 37:51Speaker 6: a world where I could say, yeah, I could do that,
- 37:54Speaker 6: no problem.
- 37:55Speaker 4: And I don't get where I see people who all
- 37:57Speaker 4: they think about is not even like the alcoholics, but
- 38:00Speaker 4: like the the weird kind of browie approach of like yeah,
- 38:05Speaker 4: I just when when do I get to drink again?
- 38:07Speaker 4: Who can't do anything? This thing not just weed people
- 38:10Speaker 4: where it's like, you know, it just has to be weed,
- 38:12Speaker 4: has to be like I'm fine, dude, enjoy whatever it
- 38:14Speaker 4: is that you enjoy, but like when you're fifty years
- 38:18Speaker 4: old and anything and everything that you attend or any
- 38:22Speaker 4: place that you go your kid's piano recite was like, yeah,
- 38:26Speaker 4: there's no wine there, schedule, there's no booze that.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Right now.
- 38:31Speaker 4: No, no, no, I mean, I love you, but it
- 38:34Speaker 4: just sounds it sounds weird to me where it's like, man,
- 38:36Speaker 4: because I can't relate to it. I feel that way.
- 38:39Speaker 4: I hope I don't ortalize it. No, no, I didn't.
- 38:41Speaker 2: I don't.
- 38:42Speaker 4: I'm not saying that you vocalize it.
- 38:43Speaker 8: But you're also not a broie dude, and you're not
- 38:46Speaker 8: a dad like I don't he's talking about it.
- 38:48Speaker 4: And also I want to make an I don't hate
- 38:49Speaker 4: those people I'm not getting I don't I don't understand it.
- 38:52Speaker 4: I don't understand that.
- 38:54Speaker 7: That us feeling. I don't get like it's wine o'clock.
- 38:58Speaker 5: I'm like, oh it is.
- 39:00Speaker 4: I think some people say those people are obnoxious.
- 39:02Speaker 5: I don't get that lifestyle all day it's weird.
- 39:06Speaker 2: What do you like? I feel, I do get it.
- 39:11Speaker 2: I do get it. Uh, you know, like it does
- 39:14Speaker 2: make things a little bit more enjoyable unless you go
- 39:17Speaker 2: off the deep end. But at the same time, it's
- 39:20Speaker 2: not gonna, you know, ruin my day if it doesn't happen.
- 39:23Speaker 2: If I don't have a drink at an event, I
- 39:26Speaker 2: would notice.
- 39:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I found like I'm drinking socially, and as I'm
- 39:30Speaker 4: doing that, I'm going, why am I doing this?
- 39:33Speaker 2: Like what?
- 39:33Speaker 1: Like?
- 39:34Speaker 4: Why did I order this?
- 39:36Speaker 2: Way?
- 39:36Speaker 6: More responsible?
- 39:37Speaker 4: Fine?
- 39:37Speaker 5: And I'll carry the same drink around all night.
- 39:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:40Speaker 2: We had an.
- 39:40Speaker 6: Event at a brewery and I had half a thimble
- 39:44Speaker 6: of beer because I had to drive. And you pushers
- 39:47Speaker 6: are like, come on, drink, drink, Yeah, because you.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Love because to drink it's hilarious. It's not hilarious.
- 39:59Speaker 13: I know.
- 39:59Speaker 11: Parents, So to your point, what do you that they
- 40:02Speaker 11: can't go to a kid's you know baseball, oh yeah,
- 40:05Speaker 11: hockey or basketball. We all know those people without having
- 40:07Speaker 11: you know, wining tequila in there, yeah Disney now, without
- 40:12Speaker 11: drinking like at that point, it's like God, bless because
- 40:15Speaker 11: that's that's just crazy.
- 40:16Speaker 4: I have the same feeling when I'm with people and
- 40:20Speaker 4: they go, yeah, I'm just not a sweets person. That's me,
- 40:23Speaker 4: which because I am a sweets person, I'm like, I
- 40:26Speaker 4: don't care about at all. And it's like, dude, like
- 40:28Speaker 4: I wish I had that.
- 40:30Speaker 7: You know, Oh, if you're not a pizza or French
- 40:32Speaker 7: fries person, no, I would annihilate pizza and franchise where
- 40:35Speaker 7: I would have like the bite of ice cream.
- 40:37Speaker 4: Yeah, but like I wish I had, because man, that
- 40:39Speaker 4: would solve so many problems, Like if I can be
- 40:41Speaker 4: the person who just without even a thought going yeah,
- 40:44Speaker 4: you know, I just don't like im cookies, I could
- 40:47Speaker 4: take an ice.
- 40:47Speaker 6: Cream, right, or the person who has the occasional cigarette
- 40:50Speaker 6: yeah smoke like you all over.
- 40:53Speaker 7: The place, and that's you used to make fun of
- 40:56Speaker 7: me for like, oh, Gina has done all these drugs
- 40:58Speaker 7: or whatever. But like, well but here like since I
- 41:01Speaker 7: do not, I really don't think I have an addictive personality.
- 41:03Speaker 7: It's like someone in college offers me something I like, yeah,
- 41:05Speaker 7: I'll try that, and then they get crazy about it.
- 41:08Speaker 5: I'm like, I don't know.
- 41:08Speaker 7: I never tried it again, Like I I just don't.
- 41:10Speaker 7: It doesn't do it, and nothing does it for me.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Yeah, awesome, I am lucky.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Yeah, well those Costco mini chocolate chip cookies do it
- 41:19Speaker 4: for me. Man, that booze. I will dust a whole
- 41:23Speaker 4: bucket of those things.
- 41:26Speaker 5: I love a chocolate chip cookie.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Yeah, but you can easily pass on the drinks, on
- 41:30Speaker 4: the potato chips.
- 41:32Speaker 5: On pass on.
- 41:34Speaker 4: Yeah, my wife and kids the other day, go, well,
- 41:36Speaker 4: let's order some pizza. I go really like, fine, guy,
- 41:41Speaker 4: I tell you what. You guys order the pizza. I'll
- 41:42Speaker 4: find something else here. It was fine, Like I want
- 41:44Speaker 4: you guys to have it. I want you guys to
- 41:46Speaker 4: have it. But like I just like that is mine.
- 41:48Speaker 5: That's bizarre.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I'm damnaged.
- 41:52Speaker 5: I'm the first one up when there's pizza in here.
- 41:55Speaker 4: I break this.
- 41:56Speaker 2: I know, I'm weird. That's weird anyway.
- 41:59Speaker 4: Eight seven or what he text us over to too,
- 42:02Speaker 4: nine eight seven. We'll take a break. We'll come back
- 42:05Speaker 4: more what he showed next right after these messages, I
- 42:10Speaker 4: had more man coach there up before higher.
- 42:15Speaker 2: You got the cocaine.
- 42:21Speaker 15: There's the text.
- 42:23Speaker 4: Oh there it is, Jeff g said, uh yeah, that
- 42:27Speaker 4: text This one says for the three two three Woody
- 42:30Speaker 4: show is full of pussies because he's talking about mom,
- 42:33Speaker 4: just talking about I said, how.
- 42:35Speaker 6: You know you care less? Couldn't care less about drink?
- 42:38Speaker 4: Right like somebody said, hey, you know you can't have
- 42:40Speaker 4: another drink for the rest of your life. I'd be like,
- 42:42Speaker 4: all right, and I would never even think twice about it.
- 42:44Speaker 5: You know, Yeah, I don't get that.
- 42:46Speaker 4: And hey, no, no offense to people who like your
- 42:50Speaker 4: friend texted you Greg and said he felt so attacked.
- 42:53Speaker 2: He's a great guy. We love that.
- 42:55Speaker 4: It's I don't have any kind of like negative feelings
- 42:58Speaker 4: toward him. I just don't understand it because I don't
- 43:00Speaker 4: have that same guy, that same pool the same way
- 43:03Speaker 4: I have the pool as I mentioned, towards sweets right
- 43:06Speaker 4: right right, Like I love cookies and cakes and ice
- 43:08Speaker 4: cream and stuff like that. I think it's the but
- 43:11Speaker 4: it's just alcohol where other people can say, like you
- 43:13Speaker 4: know what, I don't eat sweets. But man, they will,
- 43:15Speaker 4: they'll they'll drink a whole handle or whatever. It is
- 43:18Speaker 4: no problem.
- 43:19Speaker 2: I totally support it at events. It's just just don't
- 43:22Speaker 2: go all the way off the deep end.
- 43:24Speaker 5: I'm someone we have to deal with, and it took.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Me pretty much my whole life to figure out a balance.
- 43:30Speaker 2: I think I've kind of did that in the past
- 43:32Speaker 2: two years. I'm not that's a guy.
- 43:35Speaker 4: I'm not a huge fries or chips guy. Say no
- 43:39Speaker 4: to all those foods and still be fat secause the sweets.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Dude, it's the sweet sweet.
- 43:47Speaker 5: Don't forget the Oreo ice cream bar story.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it doesn't. Areo ice cream sandwiches, no fries,
- 43:56Speaker 4: no pizza. It's not that I never eat those things.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Don't care about it.
- 44:01Speaker 4: I'll skip the chips, I'll skip Someone says there's pizza,
- 44:04Speaker 4: I better be starving.
- 44:05Speaker 2: That's crazy own a bakery.
- 44:07Speaker 4: We don't know about.
- 44:10Speaker 2: What are you taking in all this stuff? What do
- 44:12Speaker 2: you mean? Like are you going to the grocery store
- 44:15Speaker 2: and buying it in bulk? Like how are you obtaining
- 44:18Speaker 2: I'm not eating?
- 44:19Speaker 5: Like, don't sell to this man, Yeah, there's.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Not How many sweets do you keep in the house.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Not a ton, and I'm not like gorging on them
- 44:27Speaker 4: every day.
- 44:28Speaker 6: If I opened your freezer right now, would there be
- 44:30Speaker 6: ice cream in there?
- 44:32Speaker 4: Uh?
- 44:33Speaker 2: Yeah, the kids have those?
- 44:34Speaker 4: What are they like, what are they called drumsticks? Yeah,
- 44:39Speaker 4: they're the many ones they have those I do have.
- 44:43Speaker 4: I think I think I do have a couple of
- 44:45Speaker 4: the of the Oreo ice cream sandwiches in there.
- 44:49Speaker 2: A couple of those. How many cookie cookie? Yeah? Cook
- 44:54Speaker 2: cookie options? No, no cookies.
- 44:56Speaker 4: My wife said, chocolate person, So she'll have like like
- 44:59Speaker 4: little in the visual, you know, chocolates like yeah, like
- 45:02Speaker 4: not a her kids. I forget what she gets. The
- 45:05Speaker 4: little Dove chocolate I got.
- 45:08Speaker 2: She likes those chocolates from Switzerland. You did as soon
- 45:13Speaker 2: as you came.
- 45:14Speaker 4: To me as we were sitting here.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 45:20Speaker 13: Oh.
- 45:23Speaker 4: Speaking of people being pussies, you remember like when there
- 45:27Speaker 4: would be a movie that would come out and some
- 45:29Speaker 4: of the oh dude, there's boobs in that movie.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:32Speaker 4: Yeah, man. As young boys, we would like we would
- 45:35Speaker 4: do everything we could. We try to watch it through
- 45:37Speaker 4: the scrambled cable. We'd go to the friend's house that
- 45:39Speaker 4: had the HBO. We we figure out how to program
- 45:42Speaker 4: the VCR to make sure that they're recorded, and we
- 45:44Speaker 4: got to see it, and the whole thing I was reading,
- 45:47Speaker 4: how this uh, this movie one night only, right, Uh,
- 45:53Speaker 4: it's a rom com right talked about It's a rom
- 45:56Speaker 4: com version of the Purge. It's a world where premium
- 46:00Speaker 4: marital sex is only permitted one night per year, and
- 46:04Speaker 4: so there are no sex scenes in the movie. There
- 46:07Speaker 4: was nudity, but much of that was taken out in
- 46:10Speaker 4: the film's final cut. The director Will Gluck says it's
- 46:14Speaker 4: because the gen Z people, the gen Z test audiences
- 46:20Speaker 4: were visibly like put off by the scenes, and the
- 46:27Speaker 4: data showed that the audiences were uncomfortable with nudity in
- 46:33Speaker 4: the movie. It's a new era and so I'm like, wow,
- 46:36Speaker 4: what a departure. Now, these are these are young young bucks,
- 46:40Speaker 4: and man, I don't want to see that. The only
- 46:43Speaker 4: reason I ever even want to go watch Porky's was
- 46:47Speaker 4: because I was told there were boobs in it National
- 46:51Speaker 4: Lampoon's European Vacation or rusties in the German beer gardens dresses. Yeah,
- 46:59Speaker 4: the tape could have snapped in that because it was
- 47:02Speaker 4: rewound so many times, because it was a real quick
- 47:05Speaker 4: brief one.
- 47:05Speaker 5: You know that Revenge of the Nerds in the Bouncy House.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Yeah, this could be a odd take, but I think
- 47:13Speaker 2: it's because of HBO, because HBO kind of ruined it
- 47:16Speaker 2: for everybody.
- 47:17Speaker 4: But how do you explain the Game of Thrones and
- 47:19Speaker 4: people say that's pretty much poor euphoria? The audiences love that.
- 47:27Speaker 2: No, I think that was more toned down compared to
- 47:30Speaker 2: other shows like Girls and Insecure and stuff like that,
- 47:35Speaker 2: where they would just have like they would just start
- 47:38Speaker 2: out the show with just like unnecessary sex scenes that
- 47:41Speaker 2: were just like really yeah, and I think people just
- 47:46Speaker 2: got burnt on it, like okay, get it. See.
- 47:49Speaker 6: I think in general, unless it's pertinent to the story,
- 47:52Speaker 6: like he did Rivalry the gay sex and that is
- 47:55Speaker 6: pertint the hockey whole point the hockey show exactly, or
- 47:59Speaker 6: a movie be like oh, Fatal Attraction showing the sex scene,
- 48:03Speaker 6: it's pertinent.
- 48:04Speaker 2: Because it makes her become an affair.
- 48:07Speaker 6: But if it's just a movie like Top Gun or whatever,
- 48:09Speaker 6: and you have the sex scene that goes on for
- 48:13Speaker 6: six boring, like we get it.
- 48:16Speaker 2: They had a lot of shows were just like.
- 48:20Speaker 7: Talk about a lot of this movie is one night
- 48:22Speaker 7: you have sex and they take out the new.
- 48:25Speaker 4: See you're watching a movie about sex, literally about the
- 48:30Speaker 4: one night you have sex.
- 48:31Speaker 9: I think the difference is, though, like what Menace is
- 48:33Speaker 9: talking about. The TV shows that have that, you're watching
- 48:36Speaker 9: it at home. The movies you're out in public watching
- 48:39Speaker 9: these sex scenes, and I think that's uncomfortable. You're with
- 48:41Speaker 9: your friends just watching sex.
- 48:43Speaker 4: But what the move The movie that you went to
- 48:44Speaker 4: go see is about sex. So if you are a
- 48:48Speaker 4: person who would be uncomfortable, I mean, what do you
- 48:51Speaker 4: think you're gonna see? You're not gonna see that any penetration,
- 48:53Speaker 4: you know, what are you gonna see some cans? Maybe
- 48:55Speaker 4: like someone's you know, ass crack?
- 48:58Speaker 2: Can they?
- 48:59Speaker 4: I mean, I guess because it was what's his name,
- 49:01Speaker 4: Jason Siegel for a minute there he was on a roll.
- 49:03Speaker 4: He would show his penis.
- 49:04Speaker 2: For every movie.
- 49:06Speaker 5: You just had to see it.
- 49:07Speaker 4: Yeah, like but that was you never really saw that stuff.
- 49:09Speaker 4: You never saw bush or penis. You would just see
- 49:12Speaker 4: you would see boobs most most of the time. And
- 49:15Speaker 4: yeah and maybe yeah, maybe like a bare ass.
- 49:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 49:18Speaker 7: That was That was it between you talk about stopping
- 49:21Speaker 7: the VCR the tape somewhere that scene in Dirty dancing
- 49:25Speaker 7: when baby and what's Johnny Castle have.
- 49:28Speaker 4: Sex with Patrick?
- 49:29Speaker 5: And Patrick sway he gets out of the.
- 49:31Speaker 4: Watch the movie.
- 49:32Speaker 2: I don't think I was born, He paused, so.
- 49:33Speaker 5: Yeah, right with the same age. Paused so hard on that.
- 49:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I never saw that. That's what I've never seen.
- 49:40Speaker 2: All the way through.
- 49:41Speaker 5: You guys as men, you're not I've heard.
- 49:43Speaker 4: I've heard. You know, nobody puts baby in the corner.
- 49:46Speaker 4: And I knew the soundtrack because the soundtrack songs were
- 49:48Speaker 4: all over the place and my parents had the soundtrack
- 49:51Speaker 4: and we were in the car. They just wear that
- 49:53Speaker 4: outs the wind. That's I know, is it?
- 50:03Speaker 2: Yeah? I like that song. Yeah.
- 50:07Speaker 6: I put sex scenes that are person Yeah.
- 50:12Speaker 4: See, I knew there was a bunch of songs that
- 50:13Speaker 4: I knew from the soundtrack. Never watched the movie.
- 50:15Speaker 6: Like sex scenes that are not germane to the plot
- 50:18Speaker 6: are as boring as a woman having a baby on screen,
- 50:21Speaker 6: like we get it. It's painful, you scream, sweat and
- 50:25Speaker 6: oh god, she had a baby.
- 50:28Speaker 4: Somebody makes sense. It makes a good point. This makes
- 50:31Speaker 4: no sense. And an era where only fans is so
- 50:33Speaker 4: prevalent and poorn literally in your hands at all times,
- 50:35Speaker 4: like it's hard to believe that gen Z is so
- 50:38Speaker 4: put off by it.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Goes to sex. Samy's talking about people want to do
- 50:43Speaker 2: it in private.
- 50:44Speaker 11: Yeah alone. Yeah, that's kind of the whole gen Z thing.
- 50:47Speaker 11: Attach it.
- 50:48Speaker 4: They've attached shame to it. I guess.
- 50:50Speaker 2: Yeah, they don't want to do it in public with
- 50:52Speaker 2: their friends. They don't know how to process their feelings.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Yeah right, yeah, like we used to put on poor
- 50:57Speaker 2: in it. That's the parties and stuff.
- 50:59Speaker 4: Well, yeah, dude. When we would discover, like, uh, you know,
- 51:03Speaker 4: someone's dad had a bunch of like playboys, we'd all
- 51:05Speaker 4: break them out. We'd go find them, we break them out.
- 51:08Speaker 4: I remember, I remember we found a a tape that
- 51:12Speaker 4: belonged to my stepdad. It was actually my sister and I.
- 51:15Speaker 4: We found this tape snoop and for Christmas gifts.
- 51:18Speaker 2: We're like, what is this?
- 51:18Speaker 4: We put it on you know what I mean, Like,
- 51:20Speaker 4: oh god, anyway, you better believe that. The next time
- 51:23Speaker 4: I saw my friend Joe and uh yeah and Jeremy,
- 51:27Speaker 4: I'm like, dude, guys, fellas check this out. We were
- 51:32Speaker 4: so do. I'm like, all right, everybody, remember exactly what
- 51:37Speaker 4: point it's at so I can put it back to
- 51:39Speaker 4: that point. And so my friend brilliant. He goes reset
- 51:43Speaker 4: the counter to zero. I go, that's brilliant. So we
- 51:46Speaker 4: put the counter to zero. So wherever it played, and
- 51:49Speaker 4: we fast forward to rewound two. All we had to
- 51:51Speaker 4: do is get it right, the counter right back to zero,
- 51:54Speaker 4: and it'd be at the exact same spot.
- 51:57Speaker 2: Yeah, because the dad would remember.
- 52:01Speaker 1: A new world.
- 52:02Speaker 2: I would have done the same thing. It's a whole
- 52:04Speaker 2: new world.
- 52:05Speaker 6: I was worried my parents would realize I played with matches. Yeah,
- 52:08Speaker 6: you have to replenish the matches.
- 52:10Speaker 4: All right, we're gonna have a game next. If you
- 52:12Speaker 4: want to play, we're gonna do the Craigslist price is right,

- 1:03:30Speaker 4: Let me sell it on Craigslist.
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: Don't just give it.
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: To some one, brand new, never used.
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: Okay, that's important.
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: Super prep Colon Askaby Bowl, Cleanse prep kit, Bowel friends, Yeah, sorry,
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: Cleanse prep kit. This is the liquid kit. The expiration
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: date was April of twenty twenty three.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: There we go.
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: It's still good though, and you can believe them because
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: it says right here on the end it's still good though. No, Yeah,
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: I trust the person. Yeah, yeah, sure, how much for
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: for this?
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: Looks like there's never use us. If it had been,
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: it wouldn't be there exactly.
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: And it's still good, guys, after three years I'm going
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: to say this is price to move.
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: I'm going to say twelve.
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: Dollars twelve bucks, Stephen. Do you think the actual Craigslist
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: price is higher lower than twelve dollars. I'm gonna go more,
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: all right, actual Craigslist price is twenty dollars Steph. Congrats
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: and you are a winner here on the Craigslist price
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: is right?
- 1:04:30Speaker 11: Yeah, look at that you guys.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: Wow, what a bunch of garbage.
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: You can't wait for Colonosky day, Greg, the nap So coffee.
- 1:04:42Speaker 11: Yeah, well, you lose a lot of weight.
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: To lose weight, they put that warm blanket.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: Although you said that when you did yours, you didn't
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: have a lot of weight difference.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: No, yeah, he didn't.
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: Yeah, but he loved relaxing. Yeah, but he loved the sleep.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: He loved the propofol. Yeah, it's like you can see
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: why Michael Jackson loved it so much.
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: Yeah, I get it, Upset, I totally get it.
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: I Greg, another opinion.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: I want to see what you think.
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: Okay, somebody, Uh, I skipped it because I I think
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: I know what you're gonna say. So I've been avoiding
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: this one because they're like this one seems.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: Too easy, too obviously.
- 1:05:23Speaker 10: Sometimes you know, Greg surprises us all babe or eye
- 1:05:26Speaker 10: roll and uh.
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: Thank you. I'll have the email in front of me.
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: Somebody emailed this to us. Hey, ask Greg about this one.
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: It's a couple in Ohio who got married at the
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: McDonald's where they work together. So the company closed the
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: dining room for the ceremony. They kept the drive through
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: open because you know, business does need to go on.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: McDonald's hooked up the decorations. The manager even let the
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: kids at the wedding eat for free.
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: After the ceremony, the newlyweds helped clean everything up. Here's
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: a picture of the gross couple and their gross friends.
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: Nobody dressed like, I mean, somebody's kind of dressed like.
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: You know what, Yeah, that grimace in a wedding dress.
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: Well, there's someone in purple. What could it be?
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: Which it department? Is this guy working.
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: Of the balloon that is the two white balloons.
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: Do you guys ever go to a birthday party on
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: McDonald's and you're a kid. That was a big thing
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: for me because they had like stuff like there was
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: a standard like birthday.
- 1:06:31Speaker 7: Set up and when it was your birthday at least
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: when I did it, you got to bring a friend
- 1:06:35Speaker 7: into the kitchen to look at your cake. You got
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: to go backstage to see my cake.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: All right. We always did pizza places, all right.
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: So you know, a babe or eye roll, and he
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: guesses who wants to go first. Gina Man tough, but
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: I'm going to go I roll.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Yeah, why are we wasting our time? The story? Yeah?
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: Now, uh, it could go a babe. I'll tell you
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: my reason why after my my initial gut instinct tells
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: me this is mega.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Did you leave a part of the story.
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: Yeah, no, no, no no, And I'll explain. Greg's already
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: got his answer. I just don't want to. I don't
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: want him to change his answer because it's based on
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: something he said in the past. Okay, so I will
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: say officially it's eye roll.
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: Oh god, I have to be consistent with my beliefs Now, Sammy,
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: the McDonald's wedding a baber, I roll.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: I roll, Jeff gl Greg Gory.
- 1:07:34Speaker 6: Okay, I have a theory as to what you're going
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: to say. But I'm saying I roll. I mean a
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: McDonald's wedding. I think a child's birthday party at McDonald's
- 1:07:42Speaker 6: is depressing enough, let alone an adult wedding and balloons.
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: No, dude, that was that was the birthday party. Yeah,
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: I don't look, it's not it's not wedding places.
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: Yeah, it's not even birthday place for in an adult world.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: So I'm glad to be right about the But the
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: a babe is because this was where they worked together.
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: This is where they met. Greg had made like that
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: that exception to I forget where someone got married, and
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: you're like what you're saying, I will give them because
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: they both worked there. This is all their you know,
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: friends who are the co workers. It's where they met.
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: It's at least to that correct. It wasn't just like,
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: oh we're gonna be wacky and get married at the
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: you know, white Castle or whatever.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: It was my theory.
- 1:08:34Speaker 6: The reason that you would think maybe a babe is
- 1:08:37Speaker 6: because you know, look at the bride. If she can
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: find love, so can you see it's possible for everyone?
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: I mean, you know, look at look at him, dude,
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: there's a lid for every pot. We're gonna take a
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: quick break, will come back more. What the show is next?
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: Hang on.
- 1:09:04Speaker 16: Back in the minute, all right, now, I saw this
- 1:09:17Speaker 16: thing about you know, Morrissey was supposed to do.
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: He was supposed to do a residency at it somewhere
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: in Vegas, right where it was. It wasn't sphere, it
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: was uh, I don't know. It doesn't matter because it's
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: not happening. And shame on anybody at this point whoever
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: buys the tickets and go see Morrissey, because well, shame
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: on you for buying the ticket and then being disappointed
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: when it cancels, because of course it's going to cancel.
- 1:09:43Speaker 6: It was supposed to be at the Encore Theater at
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: win LA.
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: That's a nice one, so of course it's going to cancel,
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: of course. And I maintained my argument that Morrissey is
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: ella overrated. Oh wait, yeah, I think one of my
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: favorite songs, if not my favorite song of a all time,
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: The Smith's how Soon is Now? A great song, but dude, what.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: A douche she is.
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: It's just he's just a douche. And the songs like
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: other than how Soon is Now? And I might give
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: you every day it's like Sunday, that's it. I love it,
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: that's it. I don't get the other ones. So that's
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: why I argue overrated. I go, what's so catch here?
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: What's so great about this?
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Not getting?
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: But now, one thing Greg does love is he loves
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: all the new wave stuff.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: I wouldn't. I'm so excited for this second.
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: Because I wouldn't put I wouldn't put Morrissey in the
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: new wave category, even though, like if you listen to
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: like a new wave playlist or what, they'll put Morrissey
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: in the Smiths and stuff like that in there.
- 1:10:43Speaker 6: But definitely not under that category.
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean not only like this is a great song.
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: I mean, I don't care what the what you want
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: to consider.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: It, but.
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: I mean, have you ever seen him play this live?
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: It's now cool? Is it? When it does happen?
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: It's the cool once every decade when they perform actually happened.
- 1:11:10Speaker 6: Well, I love sad songs and he's the master of them.
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: Yeah, massive don't think the songs are very catchy.
- 1:11:16Speaker 7: Really, I don't know if I've ever asked you this
- 1:11:20Speaker 7: or if you've ever explained this to us, But did
- 1:11:22Speaker 7: you wear guyliner like in high school?
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: No?
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: Okay, no, he's your big new wave guy.
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: Yeah, I would, Uh, you know, either peg my pants
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: or safety pin there and you did the havel shape,
- 1:11:33Speaker 6: shaved head. No guyliner black and white, you know, stripes
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: and stuff like that, but no, never guyliner.
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: Okay, so this is the best of seven.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: Now for this best of seven, the opinionated folks over
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: at Ultimate Classic Rock dot com they ranked the top
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: new wave singers. So I'm gonna give you seven, and
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: then from that you can only select four. It's like
- 1:11:57Speaker 4: the best of seven series, first to four, right, so
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: you can only select four. So three of these will
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: have to go. And I can't even include all the
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: ones that they put on their list. And then we'll
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: give some we will give some other like you know,
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: honorable mentioned shout outs as as we go on. But uh,
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: the new wave singer they have number one on their list.
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: And I did see a video of this band slash
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: Person recently, and I go, wow, that looks like a
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: dead person singing. But they sounded amazing. And that would
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: be Robert Smith of The Cure and the Cure. I
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: mean so many, so many big songs, right, looks like
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: the Cripkeepers, like a fat Cripkeepers, like an electric Yes,
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: and it's.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: So the first one is and you can either say
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: Robert Smith or the Cure.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: Either one.
- 1:12:57Speaker 17: It's fine, it's so good, I mean, and then the
- 1:13:05Speaker 17: hits just keep on comment bangers, yeah, all bangers, all right.
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: Number two on their list is talking Heads David Byrne,
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: so best of seven new wave singers, talking Heads is
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: number two.
- 1:13:25Speaker 6: The way you think that Morris who is overrated, David
- 1:13:28Speaker 6: Byrne is underrated.
- 1:13:32Speaker 15: So good, I'm going there. You had another one another great?
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: Can you even hear this song? And nothing?
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Rips slip run down the hoof?
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: Alright, sor right, cure, keep keep tracking the one two
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: for David Byrne?
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: All right? Uh.
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: Number three will be uh, let's see where did my Okay,
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: here we go, of course sting.
- 1:14:29Speaker 7: Okay, this might be showing my ignorance. But do you
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: consider a new wave?
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: Yes, they are.
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: They are if you look on any any definition, any like.
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: I just wouldn't have thought, well.
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: The police, is it not? It's not doubly, it's just police, police,
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: I always said, much like, well, on the wire they
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: say police, I'm gonna call the police. That's what they
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: said on the wire. I'll this one gets so overplaced.
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: It's easy.
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: It's is it Lovelace. Yeah, yeah, they are on every
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: list of new waves.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Yeah. All right.
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: Then from there, according to Ultimate Classic Rock dot Com,
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: you have another great band, another great singer, Annie Lennox.
- 1:15:28Speaker 18: Travel seven cs bodies looking for songs?
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: Yeah, what happened my clip.
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: On my head?
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: Like of course all the songs with your rhythms. But
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: then was she had a song anyons had?
- 1:15:53Speaker 9: Uh?
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: Oh it's this one?
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: Hold on? Yeahs just love.
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: Come and walking on?
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: Alright, that's uh?
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: Where we have four?
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:16:08Speaker 5: Yes, these are all so good?
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: Next up, best of seven new wave singers. He's all
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: made the Ultimate Classic Rock dot Com list of the
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: top new wave singers. And next up is the band
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: Duran Duran and the singer you know, Simon Lebon. This
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: is one that could never get sick of.
- 1:16:36Speaker 6: Yeah, had it with you on that ja?
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: Yeah? How do you feel about? Uh?
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: How do you feel about this one? How about uh? Man?
- 1:16:49Speaker 11: Really?
- 1:16:50Speaker 15: Yeah?
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: I would prefer that.
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: And there's something wrong with my system. It's acting real slow.
- 1:16:56Speaker 4: So as I as I go to these different songs,
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: there stopping, I apologize for the delayed gratification that's required.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: Simon what Simon Labon sah I tried to start that
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: at a thousands gas.
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: I love that up, all right.
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: That's that's number five for best of seven. Let's see,
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: how about we go with this band that made the.
- 1:17:33Speaker 10: List, ric Ocasic Cars the cars.
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: Now that one is definitely.
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: To know that I believe, all right, it's really it's
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: not the cars. It's just cars.
- 1:17:47Speaker 5: Super annoying family. It's so castic.
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: Oh yeah, okay, that's.
- 1:18:00Speaker 5: I could never get this. I love this song.
- 1:18:04Speaker 6: He was the first celebrity I met at this radio
- 1:18:07Speaker 6: station I got a job at and I was peed
- 1:18:09Speaker 6: next to him.
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: This this song, this is another one that never gets
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: sick up ever. Yeah, this song, but this is a vibe.
- 1:18:19Speaker 18: Who's going, Who's going.
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: To me? That could almost be the perfect song. It's awesome,
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: It's it's right up there, all right. So that was
- 1:18:43Speaker 4: number six, number seven, number seven for best new Wave
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: singers according to Ultimate Classic Rock dot com. Greg, I
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: think you're familiar. Oh we know, we know.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: This one will make the limp lead. Yeah, alright. So
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: Dave Gone of depeche Mode.
- 1:19:07Speaker 5: And I saw them play this live.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: That's how you end up.
- 1:19:14Speaker 6: Checking if you go to a depeche Mode show and
- 1:19:19Speaker 6: don't think you're the greatest band live. You are clinically insane.
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: I don't think I've ever seen him live.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: The all time best.
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: And then I'll give you one more from Detachement. All right,
- 1:19:39Speaker 4: So those are your seven? Only four? Move on, So
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: you're gonna have to get rid of.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: Three of these.
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: So text over to two two ninety seven. Which four
- 1:19:49Speaker 4: are you keeping? Number one was Robert Smith of The Cure.
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: Number two was David Byrne of Talking Heads. Number three
- 1:19:58Speaker 4: Stings from the Police, Andy Lennox, Number four of the
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: Rhythmics Dave Gone, Oh no, that was the next one.
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: Number five was a Simon Lebon of Duran Duran, Number
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: six rick O Kasek of the Cars, and then number
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: seven Depeche Mode.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: Dave Gone of Depeche Mode.
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: Yeah, those are your seven? Which four are you keeping?
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: Get your votes in on the text, and then people
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: here around the room and make their votes, and then
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: I will tell you what we got here next on
- 1:20:31Speaker 4: the Woody Show.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: Hang on.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: All right, Greg, I got a good one for you.
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: I kept putting rem after ream of paper into my printer,
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: ye but I just kept getting the error, saying I
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: just can't get enough.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: I just can't get enough.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: Turns out somebody had switched the printer into depeche Mode.
- 1:20:54Speaker 4: Thank you, Texter five one five texting over, Jeff hates
- 1:20:59Speaker 4: that joke.
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: I don't know why. Now, what do you mean? That's
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: not it's it's great, it's hilarious. It's a great one.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: So best of seven, best of seven? What the what
- 1:21:14Speaker 4: have we got?
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: We'll start with you, Greg.
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: We had a best of seven new wave singers and
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: the seven that you had to choose from to come
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: down with your four cure, talking heads, Police, your rhythmics, Duran, Duran,
- 1:21:30Speaker 4: the Cars, depeche Mode. Right, okay, so best of seven
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: new Wave? Now, Greg, you're the biggest new wave fan
- 1:21:37Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:21:38Speaker 6: Sure, And I found this to be relatively easy. Really,
- 1:21:42Speaker 6: I'm gonna keep and I'm ranking these in order. Number
- 1:21:46Speaker 6: one obviously Dave Gone, duh. Depeche Mode, he's God in
- 1:21:50Speaker 6: human form. Uh you got Number two Robert Smith just
- 1:21:55Speaker 6: iconic and that word does apply. Number three Annie Lennox, Wow,
- 1:22:01Speaker 6: she's incredible. And number four David Byrne. I love the Police,
- 1:22:07Speaker 6: but I prefer stings solo stuff. Love Duran Duran but
- 1:22:11Speaker 6: not quite making the cut and love the cars, but sorry, Rick,
- 1:22:16Speaker 6: you gotta go, yeah, and you did go, So all right, David.
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: I'm gonna build up to my number one. Now, I'm
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: gonna start off with number four. And I just want
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: to say this Greg, that depeche Mode and Duran Duran
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: I feel define new wave totally. Yeah, So like if
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: it new wave gets broughten up, those are the two
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: bands I probably would hear about the most. Now if
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: I had to choose between them, I'm gonna say, for
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: me personally, Duran Duran is gonna be my number four
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: and depeche Mo is not gonna make the cut. WHOA, sorry,
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: I apologize on that. Number two. I'm gonna say David
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: Byrne and for personal reasons because I feel that is
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: the soundtrack to all the movies I love in the eighties,
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: Like eighties movies are my favorite. So number oh, I
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: should have said number three. Sorry. Number three is gonna
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: be Robert Smith because just bangers. The songs are just classics.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: And then number one is Annie Lennox because I don't know,
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: I prefer female singers, okay, and deodorant and deodorant and
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: you make up the female way of life. I just
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: prefer it.
- 1:23:33Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, alright, Gina Grad.
- 1:23:36Speaker 5: Okay, if we're going in order, let's do the order.
- 1:23:37Speaker 13: Now.
- 1:23:38Speaker 7: This hurt me because my honorable mention. I'm so sorry,
- 1:23:41Speaker 7: David Byrne. You barely didn't make the cut, but you didn't.
- 1:23:44Speaker 7: Number four The Cure Robert Smith number three, Dave Gone
- 1:23:48Speaker 7: depeche Mode number two. This was a toss up because
- 1:23:51Speaker 7: I love them both so much. Rick Okay, Sik the
- 1:23:53Speaker 7: cars and just like Menace number one, My girl, Annie Lennox,
- 1:23:56Speaker 7: You're a mix, all right, Sammy Okay.
- 1:23:59Speaker 9: So start at number four is staying the police, and
- 1:24:03Speaker 9: then I'm going talking heads and then cars and then
- 1:24:08Speaker 9: again number one Annie Lennox.
- 1:24:11Speaker 5: Sorry, Greg, I don't even understand that.
- 1:24:16Speaker 6: I don't know you.
- 1:24:18Speaker 9: I just I don't get it. I don't enjoy it
- 1:24:21Speaker 9: when it comes on. I do think it's like just depressing,
- 1:24:24Speaker 9: and I don't I don't get why people like it
- 1:24:27Speaker 9: or like would want to listen to it.
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: I don't get.
- 1:24:32Speaker 9: It just doesn't seem enjoyable, Like do you are you
- 1:24:35Speaker 9: happy when you listen to it?
- 1:24:36Speaker 4: He likes as absolutely Now, Jeff, I'm interested to hear
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: what you think, because Jeff loves a lot of this stuff.
- 1:24:43Speaker 11: I do.
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: Yeah, A big part of which was like surprising to me.
- 1:24:47Speaker 4: We got into a conversation about this stuff one time
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: and I'm like, wow, no kidding, I mean he's really
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: into it. I'm curious to see who made your best
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: of seven.
- 1:24:53Speaker 11: By the way, I'm also a Smith's lover, just like
- 1:24:55Speaker 11: Greg over there. Talking heads coming in at number four.
- 1:25:00Speaker 11: You know it's weird. I don't consider police uh uh
- 1:25:04Speaker 11: in this category, but for the sake of this argument,
- 1:25:07Speaker 11: I will put police coming in at number three. Depeche
- 1:25:11Speaker 11: Mode number two, and you know, one of the kings
- 1:25:14Speaker 11: of of my my teen years, Robert Smith number one,
- 1:25:17Speaker 11: The Cure.
- 1:25:18Speaker 4: All right, mine, I'll start with number one. Cure number
- 1:25:22Speaker 4: two is Deuran durand Simon Lebon, number three, depeche Mode,
- 1:25:27Speaker 4: number four, talking heads.
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: Nice.
- 1:25:29Speaker 4: Doesn't even matter what we think collectively the audience. This
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: is what you guys came up with. And at number
- 1:25:35Speaker 4: four on your list, the cure, Wow, number four, Yeah,
- 1:25:42Speaker 4: number number four. I was surprise. I was surprised by that.
- 1:25:46Speaker 4: I was I was surprised by what came in at
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: number three. At number three, according to the will you
- 1:25:53Speaker 4: show listeners cars number two on the list I had
- 1:26:09Speaker 4: the wrong one.
- 1:26:12Speaker 5: That's okay with.
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: Listener as you can talk, Yeah, number two, Simon, Oh
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: my god, Duran durand.
- 1:26:26Speaker 6: Greg Gory Yes, oh, don't tell me it's not depeche
- 1:26:33Speaker 6: Mode at number one. Don't tell me?
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: All right, what's anything?
- 1:26:39Speaker 13: Then?
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: What is it?
- 1:26:42Speaker 6: What's number one?
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: Number one?
- 1:26:43Speaker 4: According to the listener vote, Yeah, what's the matter? Greg,
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: I'm nervous. Do you not enjoy the silence?
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: Well done?
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: I like that.
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: Number one is depeche Mode?
- 1:27:00Speaker 7: My faith.
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: Good chase.
- 1:27:05Speaker 4: Yeah, Well, because Analytic's got a lot of votes in
- 1:27:08Speaker 4: this in this room, in this room, but there you go. Hey,
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: thank you for your bought everybody. We'll have the honorable
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: mentions and there are some great there are some great
- 1:27:17Speaker 4: artists in the honorable mentions to get to all right,
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: and we'll get to that next year on the Woodies Show.
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: Hang up the Woody Show. And a lot of good.
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: Feedback on the text over to two to nine eight
- 1:27:31Speaker 4: seven about the best of seven New Waves. Yeah, it's
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: a lot of a lot of people suggesting other new way.
- 1:27:38Speaker 4: There's a ton of new wave artists obviously, I'm just
- 1:27:41Speaker 4: going by this list from Ultimate Classic Rock dot Com.
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: They ranked their favorites, and I'm just gonna give you
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: from their list the ones that we didn't get to,
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: that didn't make the seven that we chose. There are
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: way more than what they had on their list, obviously,
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: but some other honorable mentions from the ones that are
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: on their list. And while I like this one song,
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: I think the rest of the song from like Elvis Costello, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: Elvis Costello, just see I want to like sonic.
- 1:28:07Speaker 6: You uh get a few good songs like this is
- 1:28:11Speaker 6: a good song.
- 1:28:11Speaker 5: This is very eighties movie.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: Yeah, this is a great song.
- 1:28:16Speaker 13: This is.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: Honorable mention also to Blondie from Ultimate Classic.
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: Rock dot Com. Very influent. Yeah, also.
- 1:28:30Speaker 6: Nine, I mean echoes back to the seventies, right.
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: And then the quintessential Blondie song, Yeah call Me That
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: so is Blondie. Also on the Ultimate Classic Rock dot
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: Com list for best new Wave Singers, they got Michael
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: Hutchinson there.
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: Oh oh yeah, in excess they rule.
- 1:28:58Speaker 4: I mean, dude, is this the Shamans? This should have
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: been higher sen in the seventh and this guy died
- 1:29:05Speaker 4: by jilling. Yeah, choked himself out while choking his chicken. Yes, yeah,
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: how's your pa?
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: I don't even know.
- 1:29:24Speaker 6: Get it Australia, you don't get what.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: I don't know this song? You don't you don't know
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: this song?
- 1:29:31Speaker 15: Wow?
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: Never tear us apart?
- 1:29:34Speaker 6: Never never.
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: Don't know? Wait?
- 1:29:40Speaker 4: Wow you never heard that?
- 1:29:44Speaker 17: Wow?
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: Quote what he says all the time?
- 1:29:47Speaker 11: Oh yeah, you know this one?
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: Okay?
- 1:29:55Speaker 4: Also another from the Honorable mentions pile you have pretenders?
- 1:30:00Speaker 11: Oh yeah, I love that the great bang, her voice.
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: That change. That's a great songs. This kind of reminds
- 1:30:14Speaker 4: me of like Danny Lennox.
- 1:30:17Speaker 11: They just had hit after hit.
- 1:30:18Speaker 4: I know what about this?
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, I grabbed some pockets.
- 1:30:27Speaker 5: I get it. But her voice is not my thang.
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: Really a one hit wonder, but they they had this
- 1:30:39Speaker 4: person on the Best New Wave Singers list is a mark.
- 1:30:43Speaker 4: Whether it's Mother's Bow from Devo Divo is a one
- 1:30:47Speaker 4: hit wonder basically not basically.
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: What's the other eight?
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: Give me a second and I'll think I want.
- 1:30:57Speaker 4: I don't know any more good without looking it up,
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: out looking it up, let me think about it. Also
- 1:31:02Speaker 4: gonna get honorable mentioned to someone I heard Jeff mentioned
- 1:31:04Speaker 4: as we were going through some of the other ones
- 1:31:06Speaker 4: that came through on the text.
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: Susie, I love her Man.
- 1:31:11Speaker 11: I used to have the biggest crush on her. He's
- 1:31:12Speaker 11: got posters on my wall on his ceiling. Christine is
- 1:31:16Speaker 11: a great song, spell Bound, Dude's and Dust, Yeah, Susie
- 1:31:20Speaker 11: was a whole vibe.
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: Yeah, Susie and the band Cheese and here one more,
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: one more honorable mention and they had it's two dudes,
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: Roland and Current from the band.
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: Yeah, like I.
- 1:31:39Speaker 4: Would have put in excess, and I would have put
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: Tears for Fears up there and in as into the seven.
- 1:31:46Speaker 4: But it's not my list ultimate classic rock. I mean
- 1:31:50Speaker 4: so many songs from thee come on, you know, it's like,
- 1:32:05Speaker 4: come on.
- 1:32:06Speaker 6: This is on the radio every five minute.
- 1:32:10Speaker 13: This one too.
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: This is another one where I think you can make
- 1:32:12Speaker 4: an argument this could be the perfect song.
- 1:32:15Speaker 9: This one.
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: Yeah, at the end, I just loves this thing.
- 1:32:22Speaker 4: You like the song being sarcastic because okay, throw it
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: back Thursdays.
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: He often wants to hear it. Yeah, it is. It
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: is a great song.
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: Are there's the there's the honorable mention?
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: What a great movie? Yeah?
- 1:32:36Speaker 4: Eight seven seven forty four text us over to two
- 1:32:39Speaker 4: two nine eight seven more Woody shows. Next, hang on
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: the wood show.
- 1:32:44Speaker 10: We'll be right right, right, right right.
- 1:32:51Speaker 4: I love it, I love it.
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: Show.
- 1:32:56Speaker 4: God bless our buddy Striker. And he's such a he's
- 1:33:02Speaker 4: such a great guy. And we are so wildly immature.
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: I'm sure I'm sure you heard it. I'm sure you
- 1:33:07Speaker 4: caught it the same way we did.
- 1:33:09Speaker 19: And now this young van must get from k C
- 1:33:11Speaker 19: to l A on time. They're hitting the road in
- 1:33:13Speaker 19: a van like green Day. Used to be in a
- 1:33:16Speaker 19: van before.
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: Dukeye came out, before Dukie, before Dukeye came out.
- 1:33:28Speaker 5: He's so excited.
- 1:33:28Speaker 4: We're mature.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: What happened Tugger before Dukeye came out?
- 1:33:34Speaker 2: Came out?
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: When did it happen before Dukeye came out?
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: Oh, in the van. Dukey came out in the van.
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: Weird.
- 1:33:46Speaker 6: You weren't feeling well from that chicken salad way.
- 1:33:50Speaker 19: And now this young band must get from k C
- 1:33:52Speaker 19: to l A on time. They're hitting the road in
- 1:33:54Speaker 19: a van like green Day. Used to be in a
- 1:33:57Speaker 19: van before Dukeye came out.
- 1:34:00Speaker 13: One collect with a collect call from Victor for sure.
- 1:34:07Speaker 6: Oh, and he says it with such vim vig.
- 1:34:12Speaker 4: He says it in this very striker way. Yeah, my
- 1:34:15Speaker 4: my wife says he's a human golden retriever. Yeah, he's
- 1:34:19Speaker 4: just like a smile.
- 1:34:21Speaker 6: Hey, guys, so accurate that when he's not, it's disconcerted.
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: What's wrong?
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: Before Douchie came out, it's a show.
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: After hours. Voicemail eight seven seven four Woodie, here's one
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: for God. This is this is for Greg.
- 1:34:41Speaker 13: Hey, Greg, I'm listening to the podcast about your story
- 1:34:44Speaker 13: duty something.
- 1:34:45Speaker 19: So.
- 1:34:46Speaker 5: I lived in California my.
- 1:34:49Speaker 4: Entire life, and right at eighteen, I.
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: Started getting them totally ignored, every single one of them.
- 1:34:55Speaker 5: Every time I moved, I would get a new one.
- 1:34:57Speaker 13: Ignored it. Nothing happens.
- 1:35:00Speaker 20: They don't have proof that you received it.
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: They just how did they know that somebody didn't go
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: for your mail?
- 1:35:07Speaker 4: And yeah, that's been gregs That's been Greg's whole thing.
- 1:35:13Speaker 7: Amazon packages they leave the credit cards, but they take
- 1:35:16Speaker 7: your jury.
- 1:35:17Speaker 4: That's been Gregg's whole argument. They didn't send it certified mail,
- 1:35:20Speaker 4: the like true for a receipt or anything like that.
- 1:35:23Speaker 6: And I was incredibly torn between two things. My my
- 1:35:30Speaker 6: stating that that you should throw it away, and I
- 1:35:32Speaker 6: was always hell bent on well it's not certified mail.
- 1:35:35Speaker 6: You can just throw it away. And then on the
- 1:35:37Speaker 6: opposite side of the spectrum menace and his damn persuasion
- 1:35:42Speaker 6: when you said, if you throw it away, what are
- 1:35:44Speaker 6: you a communist? And anybody who knows me knows that's
- 1:35:46Speaker 6: the ultimate insult to me. So I did not throw
- 1:35:51Speaker 6: it away.
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: Well you're a.
- 1:35:54Speaker 6: And I kept it and I called the number. And
- 1:35:57Speaker 6: first of all these jury summons, very confusing.
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: Very way too word.
- 1:36:02Speaker 6: Step multi step.
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: Who knows how to surprising shows up?
- 1:36:06Speaker 6: Yeah, And so I called the number and I what
- 1:36:09Speaker 6: I did was kick the can down the road. I postponed.
- 1:36:12Speaker 6: You had a choice of all these different weeks, and
- 1:36:14Speaker 6: I went to the furthest week. Was it supposed to
- 1:36:16Speaker 6: be September fourth? Oh, dude, I would have taken that one.
- 1:36:21Speaker 6: Why it's around the holiday and the courts are always
- 1:36:25Speaker 6: dead around that time and they end up canceling hearings
- 1:36:28Speaker 6: and cancer you would have you could have just called it.
- 1:36:30Speaker 6: They would have never had you come down anything around
- 1:36:32Speaker 6: the holiday.
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: Man, don't listen to him, Greg, because your name is
- 1:36:36Speaker 2: Greg Gory and you would be called it.
- 1:36:41Speaker 4: That wouldn't work for me, Like, oh, you have the
- 1:36:44Speaker 4: day off.
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: Oh cool coming into the courthouse.
- 1:36:48Speaker 4: The last time I never had to report. I got
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: the summons and I called, but it was the week
- 1:36:54Speaker 4: before Thanksgiving, I believe, and it was like it was
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: dead because people on their vacations or they're leaving to
- 1:37:01Speaker 4: go see families. Everything's kind of winding down, and so
- 1:37:04Speaker 4: they're like, yeah, there's really nothing happening down there, and
- 1:37:07Speaker 4: so they're like, this is actually a really good friend
- 1:37:09Speaker 4: of mine as a lawyers, Like that's one of the
- 1:37:10Speaker 4: best times is anytime around the holiday, because well there's people,
- 1:37:15Speaker 4: people on their trips.
- 1:37:16Speaker 6: And yeah, it's been a minute since I got a summons,
- 1:37:19Speaker 6: and I was trying to follow all the directions and damn,
- 1:37:22Speaker 6: it's so convoluted.
- 1:37:23Speaker 11: And they write them so small on top of it,
- 1:37:25Speaker 11: and then.
- 1:37:26Speaker 6: You fill out this thing before you even call, and
- 1:37:29Speaker 6: you do.
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: Report, you don't rip. What, Yeah, it's fair, I'm looking.
- 1:37:33Speaker 8: And there are regular cases of judges being hard asses
- 1:37:36Speaker 8: and they'll pull random names who ignored it two three times,
- 1:37:40Speaker 8: and then they'll bring a couple dozen people in.
- 1:37:42Speaker 6: And that's the other thing. The point of it would
- 1:37:44Speaker 6: menace changed my mind too. We went on chat GPT
- 1:37:48Speaker 6: and asked, can you really get in trouble go to
- 1:37:50Speaker 6: jail if you ignored her and it says X amount,
- 1:37:52Speaker 6: you could you could get it a fine. I would
- 1:37:54Speaker 6: hate to pay a fine over that, and knowing my luck,
- 1:37:58Speaker 6: I would be the one that they send the fun
- 1:38:00Speaker 6: they make the example.
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: Okay. So I was today years old when I learned
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: that Greg Gory does not understand coffee cake. Multiple people.
- 1:38:17Speaker 4: I wasn't in I wasn't I wasn't in the room
- 1:38:20Speaker 4: for the conversation. Please add coffee cake to Greg's Legitimately
- 1:38:26Speaker 4: he doesn't understand.
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:38:29Speaker 4: Person, Jeff's like, bro.
- 1:38:31Speaker 13: No.
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: Reaction.
- 1:38:37Speaker 6: Can I can I at least get a little bit
- 1:38:39Speaker 6: of support? Sammy, do you know what coffee cake is?
- 1:38:42Speaker 5: I made handmade coffee cake yet.
- 1:38:44Speaker 7: Okay, Okay, so.
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: Ask ask Sammy's made coffee cake? Ask Sammy the question
- 1:38:52Speaker 4: that you asked here.
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: In the room. Okay.
- 1:38:54Speaker 6: So when you're you put brown sugar, granulated sugar. And
- 1:38:58Speaker 6: then my question is when do you add the coffee,
- 1:39:02Speaker 6: Like do you put instant coffee? Do you put like
- 1:39:06Speaker 6: in teams sud You're.
- 1:39:07Speaker 5: Just like trying to answer him, and I was like, wait,
- 1:39:10Speaker 5: do you And.
- 1:39:11Speaker 6: I thought you guys were punking.
- 1:39:13Speaker 5: The coffee is an ingredient, the coffee egg. Yes, No,
- 1:39:18Speaker 5: why is coffee?
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: You have it with coffee? What happened? And I don't
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: think your question was to outland? Thank you? I mean
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: you that, but you had I haven't.
- 1:39:28Speaker 6: It's resiniscent of coffee flavor.
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: I thought it was just a.
- 1:39:35Speaker 4: Brown sugar and vanilla was having too, like.
- 1:39:38Speaker 7: Eastern European parents. I can't believe you don't know what
- 1:39:41Speaker 7: coffee cake is.
- 1:39:42Speaker 6: It's so I mean, I've had it, have you.
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: I thought it was a hint of coffee.
- 1:39:46Speaker 6: Yeah, I thought it tasted like you're drinking coffee.
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: I'll keep it.
- 1:39:51Speaker 6: Then, why is uh red velvet not called coffee cake?
- 1:39:54Speaker 6: You could drink coffee when.
- 1:39:56Speaker 5: You eat that typically what you eat with a coffee
- 1:39:58Speaker 5: pound cake.
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: Here's the here's the answer. Thisagel is coffee bagel right
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: right coffee.
- 1:40:05Speaker 8: According to Yie Old Internet, this was developed in a
- 1:40:08Speaker 8: seventeenth century Northern and Central Europe, specifically designed to balance
- 1:40:13Speaker 8: the bitterness of coffee with sweet yeast breads.
- 1:40:16Speaker 5: Yeast breads.
- 1:40:17Speaker 6: I contend that's a dumb name.
- 1:40:19Speaker 7: It's so strange because this is so like this is
- 1:40:22Speaker 7: so unlike you.
- 1:40:23Speaker 2: No. Yeah, but there's like cappuccino ice cream, right, there's
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: coffee ice cream.
- 1:40:27Speaker 5: And everybody knows the term coffee.
- 1:40:29Speaker 6: Cake, but I thought it. I'm still dumbfounded by it.
- 1:40:34Speaker 2: I had coffee, they.
- 1:40:35Speaker 8: Ever had it in my life, But I knew that
- 1:40:36Speaker 8: as a child growing up, that that's oh that's what
- 1:40:38Speaker 8: parents eat with coffee.
- 1:40:39Speaker 7: Yeah, even like Inman's like the store bought coffee cake.
- 1:40:43Speaker 2: It's not that crazy.
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: Yeah, it's delicious, hella damp hell and just really good.
- 1:40:51Speaker 2: Oh man, it's so good.
- 1:40:53Speaker 6: They soak the lady fingers bro coffee.
- 1:40:57Speaker 2: No, I know, but I thought coffee cake. They put
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: coffee in it.
- 1:41:00Speaker 15: Know.
- 1:41:00Speaker 4: So Greg was to the years old day years old. Yeah,
- 1:41:03Speaker 4: when someone explained coffee cake, what.
- 1:41:06Speaker 8: My mind is because it's something that should be in
- 1:41:09Speaker 8: Greg's world.
- 1:41:10Speaker 4: That's what I said.
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: You're in fanciness and.
- 1:41:12Speaker 7: Europe like European family.
- 1:41:15Speaker 6: But I don't accept that it's called coffee cake because
- 1:41:18Speaker 6: you eat it while having a cup of coffee. There's
- 1:41:20Speaker 6: a lot of stuff you eat while you have a
- 1:41:22Speaker 6: cup of my.
- 1:41:22Speaker 4: Sandwich, buy something called.
- 1:41:26Speaker 6: Exactly, I would like some pizza water.
- 1:41:30Speaker 4: What it called doughnut.
- 1:41:32Speaker 2: I don't know for one. Yeah, but why not? Yeah?
- 1:41:37Speaker 4: Why is anything called anything? It's a hot dog called
- 1:41:40Speaker 4: hot dog. There's a dog in there.
- 1:41:44Speaker 2: You're getting they're just like I don't want to use
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: the term, but they are gas. They're definitely down. How
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: you're not getting because it's just having some perspective and
- 1:41:59Speaker 2: say like, oh, I kind of get what you're saying. No,
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: there is no.
- 1:42:04Speaker 7: Stid because Greg, every time, every time you if you
- 1:42:07Speaker 7: don't get something, I can see why you don't get it.
- 1:42:09Speaker 5: This is the first time where I am dumbfounded.
- 1:42:11Speaker 4: Well, no, it's not that I can't see how he
- 1:42:14Speaker 4: would think that. I can totally see why he would
- 1:42:16Speaker 4: think that. However, coffee cake seems to be I even
- 1:42:20Speaker 4: Hostess makes those little like coffee cake round like Starbucks
- 1:42:24Speaker 4: has it. It's so like it's such a it's it's
- 1:42:26Speaker 4: such an everywhere you've had it a billion times thing,
- 1:42:29Speaker 4: like you taste it once you know this is not coffee,
- 1:42:32Speaker 4: and what he would know he hates I hate the
- 1:42:34Speaker 4: taste it.
- 1:42:35Speaker 6: Okay, thank god I'm not alone. I'm with Greg. And
- 1:42:37Speaker 6: then another one. I'm today years old. I didn't know
- 1:42:39Speaker 6: it didn't have coffee either.
- 1:42:41Speaker 4: Again why Greg is great No matter what his brain does,
- 1:42:44Speaker 4: it's endearing and my brain is.
- 1:42:47Speaker 8: I'm not surprised random Texters don't know it. Greg, But
- 1:42:49Speaker 8: like Gina, coming back to what Gina said, this should
- 1:42:51Speaker 8: be something that you are well exposed to.
- 1:42:53Speaker 6: That I'm I'm gonna have to call my parents later
- 1:42:55Speaker 6: and just ask me about coffee cake. I just don't
- 1:43:00Speaker 6: accept the premise that that's why it's cold.
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: And some follow ups.
- 1:43:09Speaker 4: So he just texted this over says, hey, what do
- 1:43:13Speaker 4: the show wanted to give some feedback on the awesome
- 1:43:15Speaker 4: idea that his throat Goat Thursdays. I think I think
- 1:43:18Speaker 4: I missed this when I was out, So you can
- 1:43:21Speaker 4: you can explain it to me. Actually know what because
- 1:43:24Speaker 4: they go onto a thing and it'll help me understand
- 1:43:26Speaker 4: what they're saying. OK, So how did it work? How
- 1:43:28Speaker 4: was what was throat Goat Thursday?
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: So Throat Goat Thursday we bought, We brought in the goat,
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: which is Tyler, and uh we blind floated, blind floated,
- 1:43:38Speaker 2: folded everybody in the room and then Tyler put things
- 1:43:42Speaker 2: in his mouth and they had asked him questions trying
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: to guess what the item was in his.
- 1:43:46Speaker 4: Mouth, okay, and he's answering the questions with them. Okay,
- 1:43:51Speaker 4: So okay, So he's the throat goat, Yes, the greatest
- 1:43:54Speaker 4: of all time, different items. Okay, it's kind of like
- 1:43:57Speaker 4: what's in your fat role? But but everybody else is
- 1:44:01Speaker 4: blindfolded trying to get okay right. So this person says,
- 1:44:04Speaker 4: I want to give some feedback the awesome idea that
- 1:44:06Speaker 4: his throat go Thursdays, I love a new weekly thing
- 1:44:08Speaker 4: out of the show. I know it's the first time around,
- 1:44:10Speaker 4: but I was thinking that almost Instead of unlimited amount
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: of questions from everyone, why not limit them to make
- 1:44:15Speaker 4: the questions more thought out. Let's say twenty questions, which
- 1:44:19Speaker 4: is a solid amount for a person, let alone a
- 1:44:21Speaker 4: team of guessers to guess correctly. If there are four
- 1:44:23Speaker 4: players each get five questions blah blah blah blah blah.
- 1:44:26Speaker 4: And then when everyone has asked their questions, everyone can
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: give their guests and what it is in Tyler's mouth
- 1:44:31Speaker 4: Just a thought for mentes. Keep up the great work, guys.
- 1:44:33Speaker 4: Me love Yeah, I put a time for a two minute.
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: He essentially had the same issue. Yeah, he took care
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: of it, just fine. Yeah, yeah, I.
- 1:44:40Speaker 11: Saw the video. It was awesome. It was pretty funny.
- 1:44:42Speaker 13: Man.
- 1:44:42Speaker 2: Yeah, people go Thursday to enjoy it.
- 1:44:45Speaker 4: So yeah, things happen, you know, like if you missed
- 1:44:48Speaker 4: like one outing with friends and then the next time
- 1:44:50Speaker 4: you meet up with them, they're like all discussing.
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: Yeah, you remember.
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: Some friends who were on the vacation together or something.
- 1:44:58Speaker 4: They have all these like inside jokes about the resort.
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: A blindfold.
- 1:45:06Speaker 4: No, no, well next time we do next time we
- 1:45:08Speaker 4: do it. If if you, if did everybody liked the
- 1:45:10Speaker 4: listeners like this, listen.
- 1:45:14Speaker 6: Just need some music during those two minutes, like yeah
- 1:45:19Speaker 6: I can.
- 1:45:19Speaker 8: I can whip you up something that throat Champ music.
- 1:45:24Speaker 2: All.
- 1:45:24Speaker 4: Anyway, we were we were talking about Prez Hilton and
- 1:45:31Speaker 4: you know all that stuff that happened with him. And
- 1:45:34Speaker 4: there's that guy Scott Nathan who worked with Prez Hilton
- 1:45:36Speaker 4: on a couple of projects, and he's not a fan.
- 1:45:40Speaker 4: He says that Prez Hilton is like a grade A douchebag,
- 1:45:44Speaker 4: you know, the second worst person he ever worked with.
- 1:45:47Speaker 20: Here's the second time I crossed paths with Perez Hilton.
- 1:45:50Speaker 20: It was at a show at the Roxy Theater. He
- 1:45:53Speaker 20: was with Katy Perry and they were both loaded. Katy
- 1:45:55Speaker 20: Perry pulled me into their booth by my belt loop
- 1:45:58Speaker 20: and said, hey, Nathan, you know Perez And I said yeah,
- 1:46:00Speaker 20: Perez goes.
- 1:46:01Speaker 4: Oh you know me?
- 1:46:02Speaker 2: You know me?
- 1:46:04Speaker 20: And I said, yeah, I shot you for TV guid
- 1:46:06Speaker 20: y effing ass.
- 1:46:07Speaker 2: He said, oh, how was I?
- 1:46:08Speaker 20: And I said, honestly, you're the second biggest dick I've
- 1:46:10Speaker 20: ever worked with. And he cackled, and he said who
- 1:46:12Speaker 20: is the first? And I said, Christina Aguilera. And let
- 1:46:15Speaker 20: me tell you something. He effing loved it. He was delighted.
- 1:46:19Speaker 20: And that little story kind of tell you everything. Because
- 1:46:22Speaker 20: when his cruelty was coming out of his mouth and
- 1:46:25Speaker 20: landing on someone else, it was entertainment. But now that
- 1:46:28Speaker 20: the spotlights pointed back on him, suddenly everybody needs to
- 1:46:31Speaker 20: be kind. I'm not saying Perez Hilton invented cruelty on
- 1:46:35Speaker 20: the internet. I'm saying he had an extremely successful career
- 1:46:38Speaker 20: weaponizing it, and for twenty years celebrities were expected to
- 1:46:42Speaker 20: take it, smile for the cameras, and shut the f up.
- 1:46:45Speaker 20: Now he's asking everyone to respect his privacy.
- 1:46:48Speaker 4: Yeah, so this guy has a lot of opinions. Obviously,
- 1:46:52Speaker 4: on Perez Hilton, but he did say that Christina Aguilera sucks.
- 1:46:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that was the worst.
- 1:46:57Speaker 4: That was the worst person. Number one. Now, I've never
- 1:47:00Speaker 4: met Christina Aguilera personally, but I know a lot of
- 1:47:04Speaker 4: people who have and who have done things with her,
- 1:47:08Speaker 4: you know, for you know, concerts or promotions and different things.
- 1:47:11Speaker 4: And I have not heard any good not one, not
- 1:47:14Speaker 4: one good story. I've always heard about like what a
- 1:47:18Speaker 4: what a paeny ass, Like what a bit she is?
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: And we got an after hours voicemail from somebody else.
- 1:47:23Speaker 13: Hey, wood you Show, Brian from Portland. Just back to
- 1:47:26Speaker 13: the topic of the bigger dick than Perez Hilton was
- 1:47:30Speaker 13: Christina Aguilera. I used to work on the Voice with her.
- 1:47:33Speaker 13: Her and her entourage were always just so rude to everybody.
- 1:47:38Speaker 13: And one time we were shooting interviews and she pulled
- 1:47:41Speaker 13: up the stage in her limo said go get a producer.
- 1:47:44Speaker 13: When he got her producer and she's like, I don't
- 1:47:46Speaker 13: feel like working today, I'm going home. So she spent
- 1:47:49Speaker 13: the whole time getting in her limo driving all the
- 1:47:51Speaker 13: way to set to say she didn't want to work.
- 1:47:53Speaker 13: All right, Woody Show, huge man of you guys, all
- 1:47:56Speaker 13: in and Suck it.
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: By the Morrissey Yeah, wow, yeah exactly. I met one
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: time and she was lovely, yeah, and we were just
- 1:48:09Speaker 2: saying it was fine.
- 1:48:10Speaker 9: It was nothing there or anyone who hasn't watched Christina
- 1:48:14Speaker 9: Aguilera's documentary.
- 1:48:16Speaker 5: They had anything. When she was a kid.
- 1:48:23Speaker 9: Her voice, as we know, is ridiculous and it always
- 1:48:25Speaker 9: was so when she was entering talent competitions and stuff
- 1:48:28Speaker 9: like that, she would win every single time off the charts,
- 1:48:31Speaker 9: to the point where parents started complaining they didn't want
- 1:48:33Speaker 9: her in it. It wasn't fair to the other kids.
- 1:48:35Speaker 9: And when she's too good. She did Mickey Mouse Club.
- 1:48:38Speaker 9: When she was in high school, she was like, I.
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: Don't need to be here.
- 1:48:41Speaker 9: I don't want to be here.
- 1:48:42Speaker 5: I'm going to be a singer.
- 1:48:42Speaker 9: I don't need any of this. She wouldn't go to
- 1:48:44Speaker 9: school and it.
- 1:48:46Speaker 5: Was sort of agreed by everybody though.
- 1:48:48Speaker 9: So like this confidence that was built by her was
- 1:48:50Speaker 9: a child, she had the skills to back it up.
- 1:48:52Speaker 5: She had a ridiculous voice.
- 1:48:54Speaker 9: Her first album that she ever had, they told her
- 1:48:56Speaker 9: she had to tone it down so that the average
- 1:48:58Speaker 9: person could sing along, because as her voice, you couldn't
- 1:49:01Speaker 9: even sing along to it. Cele I'm saying she is
- 1:49:04Speaker 9: a person who her whole life has sort of backed
- 1:49:07Speaker 9: up this feeling that she has that she's better than
- 1:49:10Speaker 9: the adverse.
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: So you have to be a dick? Right?
- 1:49:13Speaker 4: That gives you license to be a dick because you
- 1:49:16Speaker 4: can quote backup of all people that shouldn't be dicks.
- 1:49:19Speaker 4: It's rich and famous people like, what do you have
- 1:49:21Speaker 4: to be a dick? Of what?
- 1:49:22Speaker 5: We have to prove?
- 1:49:23Speaker 6: Singer?
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: That's why so everyone else has to bow before me.
- 1:49:25Speaker 2: I one talent.
- 1:49:26Speaker 4: I've been told I'm too good down I worked at
- 1:49:30Speaker 4: a rock quarry, I'd be, you know, irritable and tired.
- 1:49:34Speaker 6: And physically if I was a singer or an actor
- 1:49:38Speaker 6: making millions of dollars in the public adored me. What
- 1:49:41Speaker 6: reason would anybody have to be rude to anybody? No,
- 1:49:43Speaker 6: I understand, Wow, guys, rule.
- 1:49:46Speaker 9: I don't agree that she's allowed to just be an
- 1:49:49Speaker 9: ask to everyone. But when she was in high school
- 1:49:52Speaker 9: and going like, I don't need to be here, I'm
- 1:49:53Speaker 9: not doing this, I think her parents agreed, people around
- 1:49:56Speaker 9: her agreed, So she was taught essentially that it was ok,
- 1:50:00Speaker 9: hey to go, I'm too good to be here. Yeah,
- 1:50:02Speaker 9: I'm better than you and I'm too good to.
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: Be She's proven it, yep. Yeah sure.
- 1:50:06Speaker 8: And by the way, Ai says that she's a dedicated
- 1:50:08Speaker 8: humanitarian who focused the security work on fighting global hunger.
- 1:50:13Speaker 2: So how about you suck on that?
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:50:15Speaker 2: Are you guys doing anything? Sure, I'm not not doing that.
