- 0:00Speaker 1: Only pressure and opposing defenses. When we get this guy
- 0:02Speaker 1: out here, Sean Robinson out here on the set, how
- 0:05Speaker 1: you doing and making sure I get that right, bijon.
- 0:07Speaker 2: So we finally are giving everyone the education on the name. Huh.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean you say however you want to say it,
- 0:12Speaker 3: however it sounds to you.
- 0:13Speaker 2: It's all good.
- 0:14Speaker 1: See you're way too You're way too nice about that
- 0:16Speaker 1: if I was as good as you to be, like,
- 0:18Speaker 1: y'all are gonna say my name right?
- 0:19Speaker 2: Damn?
- 0:19Speaker 3: Oh? What I mean what's crazy is like now I'm
- 0:21Speaker 3: going to some places like I go to lect the
- 0:23Speaker 3: gas station, I want to the gas station of the street,
- 0:26Speaker 3: and the clerk he was like, he's like, I mean,
- 0:29Speaker 3: I was like, bro, you can say.
- 0:32Speaker 4: You see said, y'all don't know who I am, regardless,
- 0:34Speaker 4: they checked my tape like I was telling.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I was telling.
- 0:38Speaker 4: I was like, look, man, sometimes you don't care what
- 0:39Speaker 4: people call you long as they don't call you collect.
- 0:41Speaker 4: And I'm like this like this, yeah, I mean they
- 0:45Speaker 4: locked up.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Oh I collect yea that something yeah idea?
- 0:52Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 0:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:52Speaker 4: But I mean like how you how you been playing?
- 0:55Speaker 4: Uh this year? What's your main focus? I mean, like
- 1:00Speaker 4: you're just so quiet of an individual. We had a
- 1:02Speaker 4: better media, like we had the media team, like we
- 1:05Speaker 4: had in certain things, like if it was in New York, man,
- 1:07Speaker 4: you would be pretty much this high.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Yeah, And like.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Even I'm saying that he don't even care what they
- 1:11Speaker 4: call his name, Like you got to understand how humble.
- 1:13Speaker 2: This guy is.
- 1:14Speaker 4: So this year, what is your aspects on this team
- 1:17Speaker 4: right now?
- 1:18Speaker 3: I mean just you just see that there's a lot
- 1:20Speaker 3: of confidence. You know, we're building a lot of confidence
- 1:22Speaker 3: with this team and just how we're going going about
- 1:25Speaker 3: our business. And I think for me individually, like I
- 1:27Speaker 3: just want to be better than last year as a leader.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Obviously on the field, like and my confidence has grown
- 1:34Speaker 3: so much because you know from your one to year three,
- 1:36Speaker 3: Like it's a difference when you're when you're on that
- 1:38Speaker 3: field and you know everything that's going on. You know,
- 1:40Speaker 3: the speed of the game, everything slows down. So for me,
- 1:43Speaker 3: like that's that's obviously a plus. But you know, I
- 1:45Speaker 3: want to be a better leader for those guys that
- 1:48Speaker 3: see me play and you know that that are with
- 1:50Speaker 3: me every single day and for them to trust me
- 1:52Speaker 3: at every aspect.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Better than last season.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Scary for a lot of people over eighteen hundred scrimmage yards,
- 1:59Speaker 1: fifteen touchdown and really just in control and getting a
- 2:03Speaker 1: lot of high praise from some other people here. I
- 2:05Speaker 1: saw Saquon Barkley the other day said, there's nobody who's
- 2:08Speaker 1: able to cut like Bijon in the NFL. There's not
- 2:11Speaker 1: You can argue with your mom about that. I'll be honest,
- 2:13Speaker 1: but trust me, I love myself and I think they
- 2:15Speaker 1: have I have cuts. There's nobody like him and called
- 2:18Speaker 1: you the next straight one. What's it mean to hear
- 2:20Speaker 1: that from a.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Guy like him?
- 2:21Speaker 3: Yeah, man, I mean I think it's it's a blessing
- 2:22Speaker 3: man to know. Obviously the season that he had last
- 2:25Speaker 3: year was was incredible, and for him to like give
- 2:29Speaker 3: me props like that is it's super dope. And you know, obviously,
- 2:32Speaker 3: like you got to listen to that, and then you
- 2:34Speaker 3: got to kind of put it to the side and
- 2:35Speaker 3: throw it, throw it out the back pocket, because I'm
- 2:39Speaker 3: trying to work hard every single day to you know,
- 2:41Speaker 3: be at that level. And you know, I have so
- 2:44Speaker 3: much confidence in my old line and what they've done
- 2:46Speaker 3: and how they've been effective the past three years that
- 2:51Speaker 3: I've been here, and you know, just my trust in
- 2:53Speaker 3: those guys has been growing and building every single day.
- 2:55Speaker 3: And I think we're all on the same page of
- 2:58Speaker 3: what kind of season. Not just me, but you know
- 3:01Speaker 3: that Drake and have that Moon, he can have that
- 3:03Speaker 3: Ray Ray Kyle like that, we all can all can
- 3:05Speaker 3: have for each other. And I think with those guys
- 3:08Speaker 3: in the outside helping me out, with me, with me
- 3:11Speaker 3: helping them out, We're all gonna have an amazing season
- 3:14Speaker 3: on the field this year.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Uh, this is a this is a personal question. It's
- 3:18Speaker 4: kind of weird, but yeah, is it hard to come
- 3:21Speaker 4: out of the game and see Tyler get a big run?
- 3:23Speaker 4: I remember when I played defensive end, Like I used
- 3:25Speaker 4: to love getting sacks, right, and I want to see
- 3:27Speaker 4: my guys, but you know, every now I did. I
- 3:29Speaker 4: watched the game. Man, I'll be sitting there and I'll
- 3:31Speaker 4: be watching it. I was like, if Vjhon was in,
- 3:33Speaker 4: how hard it is? It's hard? But I know it's
- 3:36Speaker 4: because you love Tyler. I know y'all have a great relationship.
- 3:38Speaker 4: But how is that for you? Like, because I know
- 3:40Speaker 4: for me it was kind of tough sometimes. You know,
- 3:42Speaker 4: I had to get my yards first. I'm sorry, I
- 3:44Speaker 4: had to get sacks first, and yeah, so how do
- 3:46Speaker 4: you go, how do you guys work with that?
- 3:48Speaker 2: Man? It's not hard at all. Man. I just want
- 3:50Speaker 2: to see him succeed, you know.
- 3:52Speaker 3: I think I think the one two punch is important
- 3:53Speaker 3: in the NFL, and I think that's if you want
- 3:56Speaker 3: to have the most you know, out of out of
- 3:58Speaker 3: your offense. Like and you can have another guy at
- 4:00Speaker 3: running back that's still a number one.
- 4:03Speaker 2: It's pretty dominant. Man.
- 4:04Speaker 3: And you know, with Tyler, like when he gets a
- 4:06Speaker 3: big run, like I'm super happy, I'm super excited, and
- 4:09Speaker 3: vice versa, because even with him, like I scored a touchdown,
- 4:12Speaker 3: He's the first one there. He's scored a touchdown. I'm
- 4:14Speaker 3: the first one there. So you know, we know what
- 4:17Speaker 3: we bring to the game. It's really hard to stop
- 4:19Speaker 3: me and Tyler when we're I mean, we're trying to
- 4:21Speaker 3: be on every single game, but when we're really rolling,
- 4:24Speaker 3: like you can't really stop it because he's in the
- 4:26Speaker 3: game and he's wearing them down with his you know
- 4:30Speaker 3: how you know, he's underneath this pass and he's like
- 4:32Speaker 3: trying to hit. And then I come in the game
- 4:33Speaker 3: and I'm just I could be anywhere and everywhere. So
- 4:37Speaker 3: when he had two guys that can do that then
- 4:39Speaker 3: then get up, it really is impressive.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I mean they see him moving you all over the offense,
- 4:44Speaker 1: using you guys on the field together and with that
- 4:48Speaker 1: one two punch. I know, the knockout blow is always
- 4:51Speaker 1: a big one for the running backs and for you,
- 4:53Speaker 1: you do so many great things. Well, career long rusher
- 4:56Speaker 1: rush is only thirty eight yards right now? Yeah, is
- 4:59Speaker 1: that something that you're conscious of, Like what goes into
- 5:02Speaker 1: popping off a big run? You've had so many in
- 5:04Speaker 1: your career going back through high school and college obviously,
- 5:06Speaker 1: what goes into making that kind of big.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Run that right now just hasn't happened yet the NFL?
- 5:11Speaker 3: For you, I mean, just just keep on pressing, man,
- 5:14Speaker 3: like we have so many run schemes now that we
- 5:17Speaker 3: can pop those big runs like and I mean, I
- 5:21Speaker 3: just gotta just keep on just looking for it and
- 5:23Speaker 3: not even looking for it, just just doing my rules,
- 5:25Speaker 3: doing what I gotta do.
- 5:26Speaker 2: And I mean they're gonna break.
- 5:27Speaker 3: And I know it was thirty eight yards, I know,
- 5:31Speaker 3: the probably the longest past like seven. I don't know,
- 5:33Speaker 3: but it's not something that I think about obviously. I
- 5:36Speaker 3: want to do it, so this is the season to
- 5:39Speaker 3: do it, and this is my third year, so it's
- 5:41Speaker 3: gonna happen there.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I have a feeling, like all the other great parts
- 5:45Speaker 1: of your career, that one's just a when, not an
- 5:47Speaker 1: if thing.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that that's gonna come. Yeah.
- 5:49Speaker 1: We mentioned before you're one of the best cutback runners
- 5:51Speaker 1: in the NFL. So smooth in the open field. You
- 5:54Speaker 1: make a lot of hitters swing and miss. I'm curious though,
- 5:56Speaker 1: now this many years into your career, who are your opinion,
- 6:00Speaker 1: maybe the top five biggest hitters that you've encountered on
- 6:03Speaker 1: the other side of the football so far through.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Your hit Nobody hit him.
- 6:09Speaker 4: I'm being honest, Like I watched this guy.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I'm watching him up to I'm looking like I can say,
- 6:14Speaker 2: have you had that, like welcome to the NFL hit
- 6:16Speaker 2: at this point?
- 6:16Speaker 3: I mean, I'm a knock on web, but no, I haven't. Wow,
- 6:20Speaker 3: just because I'm trying. You know, I'm not trying to
- 6:22Speaker 3: get hit. First of all, I'm trying to make the
- 6:24Speaker 3: first person miss every single time, maybe in the second
- 6:29Speaker 3: like so like for me, you know, I'm trying to
- 6:31Speaker 3: put you in such an uncomfortable position, like you don't
- 6:33Speaker 3: want to come in like comfor full speed and try
- 6:36Speaker 3: to hit me. You know a lot of guys like
- 6:38Speaker 3: they'll they'll gallop or they'll like gain tackle and that's
- 6:42Speaker 3: the goal. Like you, I don't ever want to get
- 6:44Speaker 3: squared up on. I don't ever want to get hit.
- 6:46Speaker 3: So I'm trying to either make you miss or find
- 6:49Speaker 3: find that quarter of your shoulder and run through it,
- 6:51Speaker 3: because I mean, that's that's that's the worst for linebacker
- 6:55Speaker 3: or for running back is to take a head on hit.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Like I'm not that. I'm not that guy.
- 7:00Speaker 3: I hate it, and so for me, I'm doing everything
- 7:03Speaker 3: in my power to get around you, get past you.
- 7:06Speaker 3: But I'll say, like guys that can bring the boom,
- 7:10Speaker 3: especially like on blocking, Frankie Luvu is a guy I
- 7:14Speaker 3: respect him a lot, you know, I think on our team,
- 7:18Speaker 3: Kadan Ellis, I mean that dude in practice, like he
- 7:22Speaker 3: gives me a fit in practice. He's he's like impossible
- 7:25Speaker 3: to block, Like I block him. But like I can
- 7:27Speaker 3: see other running backs like they be struggling, they be struggling,
- 7:31Speaker 3: and then who else, who else? I'll say, uh dam yeah,
- 7:39Speaker 3: he brings it. He brings the boom. Like if he
- 7:42Speaker 3: has a straight on headshot, like he'll come in, he'll
- 7:44Speaker 3: come and hit you. But yeah, man, I mean Quentin Williams,
- 7:49Speaker 3: he's one. But other than that, like that's probably.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I appreciate how difficult it is for you to think
- 7:55Speaker 1: of this, because again, no one really gets a clean
- 7:57Speaker 1: shot on you. I would say that's also another guy
- 8:00Speaker 1: I saw you working with this off season, Christian McCaffrey.
- 8:02Speaker 1: You guys worked out together in California. Been one of
- 8:05Speaker 1: the best in the game for a while. Would you
- 8:06Speaker 1: take away.
- 8:06Speaker 2: From that experience with him?
- 8:07Speaker 3: Yeah, man, I mean obviously just his his beat experience
- 8:10Speaker 3: and just how long he's been in this league. And
- 8:13Speaker 3: you know, we did a lot of route techniques, a
- 8:15Speaker 3: lot of route running this offseason, and I think just
- 8:18Speaker 3: seeing how he just just creates leverage on routes and
- 8:21Speaker 3: on choice routes and stuff like that. Man, Like it's
- 8:23Speaker 3: been it's been amazing, like getting to learn from that
- 8:25Speaker 3: and then on the field, like it's been showing just
- 8:29Speaker 3: just trying to be unguardable at all aspects like don't
- 8:33Speaker 3: let us safety a corner linebacker, doesn't matter who's on you,
- 8:36Speaker 3: just don't let him get their hands on you and
- 8:39Speaker 3: because when you catch the ball, like they still got
- 8:40Speaker 3: to try to tackle you, and that's when you break
- 8:43Speaker 3: some more long long runs and stuff like that. So
- 8:45Speaker 3: that's that's what I learned from the most.
- 8:47Speaker 4: This is a personal question for me. When did you
- 8:50Speaker 4: know that you're that guy? I know everybody has that moment,
- 8:54Speaker 4: whether it was in high school, junior high Like you
- 8:56Speaker 4: made a move and you was like, wow, I'm good.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Like everybody had at that moment when you're playing football,
- 9:02Speaker 4: when you do something special and it's kind of like
- 9:05Speaker 4: you surprised yourself, like you can work on it, you
- 9:07Speaker 4: can do all that stuff. But when did you know that,
- 9:09Speaker 4: Like I'm a little different.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it was a probably my sophomore year
- 9:14Speaker 3: in high school. It was the first game of the
- 9:17Speaker 3: season and like I ran, I ran an.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Outside or outside play.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I think it was a toss to the to the
- 9:25Speaker 3: left and it was the first play of the game
- 9:27Speaker 3: and I like made a move and cut back the
- 9:34Speaker 3: other way and then made another Like it was like
- 9:36Speaker 3: it was a drastic run, Like you would be like, bro,
- 9:38Speaker 3: this isn't real, and it was like yeah, it was
- 9:42Speaker 3: like it was like a fifty yard run. And after
- 9:43Speaker 3: that play. I was like, Yeah, it's gonna be it.
- 9:45Speaker 3: It's gonna be a fun uh work out, it'sa be fun. Yeah,
- 9:51Speaker 3: it's gonna be a fun journey.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I think more than a few years here, Jean Man,
- 9:55Speaker 1: this has been a ton of fun. I know, Falcons
- 9:57Speaker 1: fans are excited hearing about all those new moves already
- 10:00Speaker 1: showing up on the field, and we're excited to see
- 10:02Speaker 1: it too.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Best of luck with the rest of camp. Man, you
- 10:03Speaker 2: appreciate you, going man, absolutely appreciate you. Yeah. Yeah,
