There's really no way of knowing what
• 0:06
um a staff looks like until you get a
• 0:09
couple of seasons into it. That's just
• 0:11
the way it works. But on paper, you
• 0:14
really have to like what Alex Golish has
• 0:15
done um in forming this staff on both
• 0:18
sides of the ball. When you look at at
• 0:20
that kind of offensive brain trust that
• 0:23
he kept together and kept intact,
• 0:26
um you know, I think that's important.
• 0:28
uh you get some guys that have worked
• 0:30
together, add in some experience pieces,
• 0:33
a veteran guy like Larry Porter coming
• 0:34
back on that side of the ball and then
• 0:37
another veteran guy and Larry Scott, a
• 0:39
tight end coach. I think you look at
• 0:41
that offensive staff and it's a really
• 0:42
good mix of guys who have worked
• 0:44
together and then some veteran guys who
• 0:47
kind of can plug in and and hit the
• 0:49
  ground running with that. Defensively,
• 0:51
it it's hard to to imagine a better mix
• 0:54
in my opinion. Like I said, we'll see
• 0:55
what happens when when the dust settles
• 0:57
and the proof will be in the pudding,
• 0:59
but obviously keeping DJ Durkin was big.
• 1:01
You keep Montreal King Williams and so
• 1:03
so you got some uh consistency already
• 1:06
defensively. Then you bring in some
• 1:08
pieces that are familiar with him. Uh I
• 1:11
think that's a big deal. And a lot of
• 1:13
former coordinator hires on that side of
• 1:16
the ball, guys that have that have been
• 1:18
in charge of defenses. I think that's
• 1:20
such a big deal because they understand
• 1:22
what it takes to succeed on that level.
• 1:24
uh how to fit in, what they're what
• 1:26
coordinators are looking for. All those
• 1:28
things are really important. And you
• 1:30
think about, you know, Van Djk as the
• 1:32
  quarterback's coach have heard nothing
• 1:33
but glowing remarks about him from his
• 1:36
time as a player. Um and in his time as
• 1:38
a coach and obviously you look at at,
• 1:40
you know, the words you get from Won
• 1:42
McGriff and talking about him, the the
• 1:44
combination along with the special teams
• 1:46
coach has been really successful on
• 1:48
paper. a really good really good staff
• 1:50
grouping together for me and we'll see
• 1:52
what happens with it. But you got to
• 1:54
like the start to the Alex Golera. Go
• 1:56
check out Bunkers Auburn downtown this
• 1:58
holiday season, this Christmas time. Um,
• 2:01
great place to go check it out. Food
• 2:02
  downtown Auburn.
