A 29-year-old man from Baileys Harbor caused a tense standoff in Sturgeon Bay after hitting and fleeing a car on Highway 57. When police confronted him, he claimed to have a gun and refused to comply with commands, even walking toward an officer. Officers used a taser to subdue him—no injuries were reported, but the officer whose car was struck suffered minor injuries.
