ESPN's new service launches actually today, August 21st. 42 00:03:12,200 --> 00:03:14,200 And you don't have it? What? 43 00:03:14,200 --> 00:03:17,200 I have an update on this. 44 00:03:17,200 --> 00:03:19,200 I have an update on this, Dr. Trey. 45 00:03:19,200 --> 00:03:21,200 So it launches today. 46 00:03:21,200 --> 00:03:26,200 I got an email on Tuesday from my provider, director V. Sayonan. 47 00:03:26,200 --> 00:03:31,200 I would be getting it soon and confirmation details on how to sign up and becoming my wife. 48 00:03:31,200 --> 00:03:38,200 So I'm going to get on to the chatbots later after this podcast record to go where is my direct TV. 49 00:03:38,200 --> 00:03:41,200 ESPN director consumer. 50 00:03:41,200 --> 00:03:46,200 All NXT PLEs will remain on PCOCK through at least March, 2026. 51 00:03:46,200 --> 00:03:51,200 WWE Library says through the end of 2025. 52 00:03:51,200 --> 00:03:54,200 I talked about the Saturday and Antimaint event. 53 00:03:54,200 --> 00:03:59,200 It debuts on September 20th on ESPN's new director consumer platform. 54 00:03:59,200 --> 00:04:08,200 And as we know, it was originally scheduled for early 2026, but the shift was accelerated via a negotiated early exit with PCOCK. 55 00:04:08,200 --> 00:04:12,200 So Dr. Trey, your thoughts my friend. 56 00:04:12,200 --> 00:04:19,200 Beginning on September 20th, WWE PLEs. They're now on ESPN. 57 00:04:19,200 --> 00:04:25,200 I'm still waiting for clarification how as far as like you have a streaming service. 58 00:04:25,200 --> 00:04:35,200 I do not. I have Disney Plus which owns ESPN, but I don't have the Hulu Plus lights. 59 00:04:35,200 --> 00:04:42,200 So I'm still I stuff to sit down when I get home Monday and figure all of this out. 60 00:04:42,200 --> 00:04:53,200 In the short term, I think it's a great move by WWE and ESPN to kind of go ahead and let's get some stuff starting to go over, especially with the launch of the new streaming service for ESPN. 61 00:04:53,200 --> 00:05:03,200 It makes a lot of sense. Go ahead and get some more content up there. ESPN's bought out NFL Red Zone and most of the NFL package as well. 62 00:05:03,200 --> 00:05:05,200 So the NFL network. 63 00:05:05,200 --> 00:05:10,200 Yeah, so they have they have some stuff they can go with. 64 00:05:10,200 --> 00:05:19,200 I'm not surprised about PCOCK keeping Saturday nights main event because we're getting ready to hit college football season in ESPN has college football. 65 00:05:19,200 --> 00:05:25,200 So they don't need the Saturday night content yet, but it gives them time to build up torches. 66 00:05:25,200 --> 00:05:32,200 So my my only concern is being an older gentleman is going to get confusing at times. 67 00:05:32,200 --> 00:05:36,200 Just try remember which platform which PL is on. 68 00:05:36,200 --> 00:05:42,200 And if it is. If you break it down, someone go, hey, NXT is going to be on PCOCK. 69 00:05:42,200 --> 00:05:53,200 Everything else pretty much going to be on ESPN and then the Saturday night's main event, I'm sure they'll tell us you know on the broadcast leading into it is just. 70 00:05:53,200 --> 00:05:59,200 I don't know, I'm all I like all my stuff being in one place. I like my old I like my old WWE network. 71 00:05:59,200 --> 00:06:09,200 I never cared for PCOCK but everything for the most part was there. I just I don't like jumping around from like right now like you know I got CW for NXT. 72 00:06:09,200 --> 00:06:15,200 I got USA for Smackdown. I got Netflix for raw. We're going to have ESPN for PLEs. 73 00:06:15,200 --> 00:06:24,200 You got heat PCOCK for Saturday's main event. I guess just there's a lot going on and just I kind of hope it gets condensed down a little bit someplace. 74 00:06:24,200 --> 00:06:34,200 Well mind you the age thing aside, it's more like on my on my wallet because paint so I will have my as I talked about on last week's pod. 75 00:06:34,200 --> 00:06:49,200 So of PCOCK annual subscription until the middle of next year and I guess now I'll just be waiting and see is NXT got to go on there is WWE library got to be going on there is Saturday night's main event just going to be on PCOCK moving forward from that instance. 76 00:06:49,200 --> 00:07:02,200 So I've got PCOCK over here. You've got Netflix for Monday Night Raw. You have the ESPN Direct to Consumer Service which is a really wording name over here for the rest of PLEs. 77 00:07:02,200 --> 00:07:13,200 So now you've got so monthly right for PCOCK I think what is it but for ads what is it 799 or is it cheaper than that backstreet. 78 00:07:13,200 --> 00:07:17,200 Well I think I pay around 10 but my 10. 79 00:07:17,200 --> 00:07:23,200 So you do if you do ad free I'm in the same vote vote as you I do not like ads sorry I am bougie that way. 80 00:07:23,200 --> 00:07:48,200 It's like 10 bucks a month on PCOCK Netflix is 1995 for ad free that's what I do and then this ESPN Direct to Consumer platform is going to be 2999 a month all this together right so now we're looking at 40 50 60 bucks a month roughly for something that used to be 999 a month and all of a sudden I am now suddenly paying what a pay per view prices. 81 00:07:48,200 --> 00:07:59,200 I agree with you they they they won't and they shouldn't as a business because they're getting paid billions of dollars to move to Netflix billions of dollars to move to ESPN. 82 00:07:59,200 --> 00:08:16,200 I would love it to be in one condensed spot that if there was a way that they could do the WWE bundle and take all these platforms together like they do with Hulu and Disney plus and HBO Max I'm all for it because it is it's a pain in the ass now it's. 83 00:08:16,200 --> 00:08:37,200 Becoming more expensive to be a wrestling fan when we had all this stuff for 999 I had heard some rumblings over the weekend that in regards to the WWE library there's some discussions that they may utilize the vault pages on YouTube basically the old WWE network now is on YouTube for free. 84 00:08:37,200 --> 00:08:48,200 So if you if you want to add subscription you don't have to pay anything for for YouTube but if you want to add free because you're going to be watching these pay per views in the old WWE library should they move to Google or YouTube. 85 00:08:48,200 --> 00:09:05,200 Yeah that's going to be coming paying in the ass and then I were adding another spot on there that's just not even any streaming platforms that you may have for your family like if you have a wife and kids that like Disney plus I have Disney plus in my household I have paramount plus in my household. 86 00:09:05,200 --> 00:09:23,200 We have Apple TV plus now it's it's just getting crazy so I may need to do one of those rocket money apps doctor tray on my subscriptions and try to keep it in there if they want to do a little ad for the podcast we would love to do that but yeah I mean. 87 00:09:23,200 --> 00:09:31,200 We didn't understand the gravity of the situation last week really to the full sticker but now that we've a clear picture it's like holy hell. 88 00:09:31,200 --> 00:09:55,200 999 a month God I miss you WWE network. Yeah I mean the problem in part of the problem is that none of these companies are partner companies like ESPN Netflix are kind of in competition over the sports libraries you know you got paramount and Netflix you know they all kind of compete against each other none of them really go. 89 00:09:55,200 --> 00:10:24,200 If you get this will add in this really like use I think you can so get that HBO Max in discovery you can kind of partner them up if your wife really loves shark week like mine does you can kind of get away with going hey let's go and get the HBO discovery package and then you can save a little bit money on that but it is this is kind of you know it's funny when wrestling sucks everybody kind of works together in the cost goes down but when wrestling is good they're going to kind of adopt or monetize it to the best of their ability. 90 00:10:24,200 --> 00:10:53,200 And like I still got it like that said like for me you have comp cast so I'm not saying yeah you have a that comp cast direct TV so you get all that will me I've had Disney plus which is now integrating the hulu library into Disney plus which then also gets me ESPN plus and ESPN to it I'm like but wait do I not get a discount on this ESPN DTC. 91 00:10:53,200 --> 00:11:00,200 Thing or whatever like I'm already paying there I think it's almost 30 bucks a month for Disney plus and hulu. 92 00:11:00,200 --> 00:11:03,200 So give you the ESPN to so I got to figure that out. 93 00:11:03,200 --> 00:11:22,200 So Dr. Trays you and I were sitting here I just got this alert on my phone from the ESPN app it was some sort of a new story about a player being called up to the Tampa Ray so I just randomly clicked it just to see and then it because I noticed this on the ESPN website on Thursday morning that it is changed the app if you have the ESPN app it is changed. 94 00:11:22,200 --> 00:11:51,200 And we're sitting here as we're sitting here in your time out Disney plus I see for a limited time offer this is I feel like this is like me texting Dr. Tray now on this I don't like it but you know we just do the podcast shake this out limited time offer save over 39% per month for a year on the Disney plus hulu ESPN unlimited bundle so for 29.99 a month that you get Disney plus hulu and the ESPN direct to consumer all bundled in one so something to think about so go back home talk about it. 95 00:11:51,200 --> 00:11:53,200 And there you go. 96 00:11:53,200 --> 00:12:15,200 Yeah I think when I get to my Airbnb tonight I'll pull up the laptop and see if I can get on there and because I already have that bundle so now see how does that how does that work in because we had the hulu live TV it just every time because of our internet everyone out we had to reset everything it was a huge pain in the ass. 97 00:12:15,200 --> 00:12:44,200 So we went down to just Disney plus hulu and the ESPN bundled so they're including the ESPN direct to consumer sports package in there that I think we should be good to go which then might make my life a little easier stay tuned for more we'll give you an update on how Dr. Tray and I are doing next week because I would imagine most of you if not all of you that listen this podcast are on the same exact about with us right now like you have no idea how this is going to transition over especially if you're in Dr. Tray's bow. 98 00:12:44,200 --> 00:12:56,200 Where you've got a whole bunch of this is already bundled am I getting the service or if you're like me you have one of the streaming services cable platforms that is going to have it on added to your account free of charge. 99 00:12:56,200 --> 00:13:06,200 Well when can I begin it's like okay what's going on because it's like if there's a lot of news about it but there's no real direction on exactly what we're doing so. 100 00:13:06,200 --> 00:13:34,200 Yeah stay tuned for more and we'll just kind of join you in the process and by the way subscription fees if you want to add another one patreon.com/srtupodcast you can help support the podcast with various different tiers at either $2.4 or $6 a month over patreon.com/srtupodcast which by the way so there's now a platform in there that you could live stream and that is something that I'll have to look into because if we go live on these shows now moving forward. 101 00:13:34,200 --> 00:13:49,200 We could do it for everybody who is a subscriber over patreon. Moving along here Dr. Tray looking towards 2026 which was supposed to be the launching point for the ESPN PLE WPLE package it has since been moved forward. 102 00:13:49,200 --> 00:13:58,200 There were some some major rumors to start the week that a former world champion could be headed back to WWE next year. 103 00:13:58,200 --> 00:14:09,200 Rumors are swirling after liking an Instagram post about a potential WWE return speculation is mounting around Chris Jericho possibly heading back in 2026. 104 00:14:09,200 --> 00:14:21,200 Meltzer reported that there's significant backstage talk. There's a lot of talk about Chris Jericho amongst the wrestlers including the idea of him entering the 2026 Royal Rumble potentially in Saudi Arabia. 105 00:14:21,200 --> 00:14:31,200 However WWE creative sources say Jericho's name has it coming up internal creative discussions nothing concrete is underway this is again is just coming from a lot of the wrestlers backstage. 106 00:14:31,200 --> 00:14:38,200 Jericho's AEW contract reportedly expires in early 2026 making the timing plausible. 107 00:14:38,200 --> 00:14:49,200 Jericho was pretty adamant once he was in the AEW bubble and under the umbrella of AEW for some time that he never saw himself returning to WWE he enjoyed working for Tony Connie and Joed working for AEW. 108 00:14:49,200 --> 00:15:02,200 He did also say the same stuff for regards to WWE he vowed he would never work for another United States promoter in the US other than Vitsik Man that obviously changes and rightfully so it should gives him leverage power. 109 00:15:02,200 --> 00:15:13,200 I think we could say Dr. Trey that the AW version of Chris Jericho has gotten flat probably his last 15 months of active wrestling in AW maybe even 18 months. 110 00:15:13,200 --> 00:15:26,200 It's reminiscent of Cody Rhodes during his time towards the end where it just kind of felt like it wasn't a fit anymore he left in April which to me I felt like he left years ago. 111 00:15:26,200 --> 00:15:42,200 He was doing the learning tree angle with Big Bill and Brian Keith something to note I noticed on collision recently Brian Keith wrestled and for all this time they were referring to Big Bill and Brian Keith as a Big Bill as 112 00:15:42,200 --> 00:15:57,200 the Redwood and Brian Keith as the bad apple and the learning tree Brian Keith came out on collision as the bounty hunter his original gimmick that he came in AW and was working on the Indies for. 113 00:15:57,200 --> 00:16:09,200 So maybe some potential T leaves there I I did not think that Jericho whatever wrestling in WWE can I figured yep most likely he comes out in Hall of Fame ceremony but 114 00:16:09,200 --> 00:16:25,200 wherever you feel about this way the AW character going off towards the end it does feel poetic the same way that I also feel like for people like Adam Copeland Christian Jim Ross behind the announcer's desk I feel like a career like Chris Jericho should rightfully end in WWE. 115 00:16:25,200 --> 00:16:47,200 Your thoughts actually I don't think Melter puts this stuff out there unless there is some fire to it so when Melter speaks about potential AW wrestler leaving I certainly listen there is some varying degrees of is it factual is it not factual your thoughts on the story of Chris Jericho potentially returning the WWE in 2026. 116 00:16:47,200 --> 00:17:15,200 But is it Melter and those guys still mad that WWE work them yes trust so like the so if this does or does not come true either way there's going to be distrust between Melter and sources so I don't see Jericho I mean other than a row rumble I don't see Jericho ever being like a full time WWE guy again I don't even know if I can see me in a part time maybe. 117 00:17:15,200 --> 00:17:30,200 Kind of in the Kurt Angle role the last year Kurt Angles career like commissioner GM sometime wrestles but to me this is still Jericho you know just being smarter than the system going okay if you guys want me back. 118 00:17:30,200 --> 00:17:44,200 Hey here's my number if not WWE's interest in bringing me back in I think this is just Jericho kind of leveraging the situation because I don't think Jericho is happy if they'll be the last few months of his AW run there. 119 00:17:44,200 --> 00:18:02,200 He looked bored you know like he was just going through the the machinations so to speak and that's what we've seen from a lot of these guys in the way you like the guys when their conscious going up they just they don't have a direction they just look bored and they're just waiting for something to do. 120 00:18:02,200 --> 00:18:19,200 If I would probably put it like maybe 20% Jericho goes back to WWE I guess that he may end up in the hall of fame someday but if he still views himself as an active full time competitor I just don't see him making the jump to WWE. 121 00:18:19,200 --> 00:18:36,200 I think he does and one of the things about the report about Jericho is that like WWE is willing to work around schedule I mean Jericho is not going to run a 12 month you know schedule during every year that he's around wrestling at this point. 122 00:18:36,200 --> 00:18:48,200 I think he should probably wrestle you know like a handful of matches here and there maybe 15 to 20 I don't think he needs to wrestle on every edition of Raw but I think he's more active than Lesnar. 123 00:18:48,200 --> 00:19:00,200 Probably would be more active than Cena. Maybe it's similar to like the punk I thought punk wasn't going to wrestle all that much but he's doing stuff on Raw. 124 00:19:00,200 --> 00:19:11,200 I think it's like eight months at a time he goes off and does the stuff with Fasi maybe he does the the the crews he does. 125 00:19:11,200 --> 00:19:28,200 I just think I feel like the if Jericho even return AW this Sunday it for Ben and Dorr I don't think he gets an I miss you welcome right I don't know the heart grows fonder I just felt like. 126 00:19:28,200 --> 00:19:46,200 And I think the direction company to has been that they're trying to get away from some of the WWE talents now which I think is the right way to do it I just felt like the Jericho AW run ran its course and I think I would imagine he feels that way because I feel that way is a fan. 127 00:19:46,200 --> 00:20:04,200 Yeah I mean I'm sure like I mean they were kind of working around the Fasi schedule in WWE when he was there before he left the last time I just look at the same thing you know the concept of like okay if Adam Copeland of Edge couldn't work out a deal with WWE. 128 00:20:04,200 --> 00:20:25,200 You know because of his age and you know schedule prohibits and you know we're having I think Jericho's in the same buzz would edge would be you know the eyes of WWE like yeah can we use them so edge wanted to rest edge wanted to rest more often the way that you was willing to do exactly that's where I'm at with Jericho like this Jericho view himself in. 129 00:20:25,200 --> 00:20:38,200 A six month a year type wrestler or does Jericho want to be a nine month a year wrestler edge wanted to be like nine to ten months a year WWE want him at like four to six. 130 00:20:38,200 --> 00:20:40,200 So Jericho. 131 00:20:40,200 --> 00:20:42,200 Yeah go ahead Dr. Trex. 132 00:20:42,200 --> 00:20:58,200 I'm saying just kind of comes down to where how does Jericho view himself now. Does Jericho view himself now as a special attraction part time wrestler or does Jericho want to be out there all the time if you want to be there all the time. 133 00:20:58,200 --> 00:21:15,200 Like I think Jericho kind of mutually volunteer to step back from a w these last five months. I don't think it was creative more I think they'd love to have on TV always helps ratings but I just think I think comes down to what the wrestler thinks they all have a view themselves I guess so speak. 134 00:21:15,200 --> 00:21:43,200 See if I'm Jericho right and if he is fine with or his career is right now the NAW is the place to be but if he wants to raise his persona and raise his brand WWE is the way to go if they're on ESPN they're on Netflix I think that's extremely appealing to a guy like Chris Jericho has Jericho's I don't necessarily know if Jericho was a household name I think he's a recognizable name. 135 00:21:43,200 --> 00:22:05,200 But I mean just kind of feels like they've done ever they make could with Chris Jericho and a w and I think the direction of the company that you're seeing right now is is the correct direction of the company I don't think Jericho comes back and you put him in a main event spotlight I don't I don't think that's the way to go. 136 00:22:05,200 --> 00:22:34,200 Jericho comes back and you put him in like the Jericho feud remember for a period of time there was a w the Jericho feud would be like MJF I think he's done it with everybody there's some names on the list that I'd be like okay with but you know some of those guys are going away what I love to see a will auspriced Chris Jericho feud absolutely but osprey needs next surgery what I love to see a Jericho Swarth Strickland feud absolutely but I don't think that really is sort of really needs that so I think you were you going to ask me like who I could see him feuding one. 137 00:22:34,200 --> 00:23:00,200 Oh no what was it say was you know you brought a really good point with with the you know tie ends with Netflix and the tie ends with ESPN and Jericho gloves trying to do alternative projects and he sees the miz coming back to host American gladiators and I think Titus O'Neill hosting a date a reality dating show like maybe Jericho is on a W. 138 00:23:00,200 --> 00:23:26,200 Yeah I was that would be on the show okay I thought it was a host but does this Jericho then be wwe as the launching point for the second half of his life where he can be an on screen presence maybe not wrestling but then still be able to get more gigs outside of fresh rest because I was asked like who do you think is more of a household name the miz were Chris Jericho. 139 00:23:26,200 --> 00:23:55,200 Yeah yeah probably the miz right now you know I'll talk outside of our bubble I don't think fans truly understand that like people don't know what a w is they may have an idea but they really don't know what a w is they think it's like the ufl version of the NFL as compared to the w if they were the NFL that's sad because a w is is a really entertaining fun but it's just it's just facts and I think the other thing 140 00:23:55,200 --> 00:24:24,200 to Dr. Tre is if you go back to 2018 2019 like why was Jericho showing up in New Japan pro wrestling why did he sign with a w Jericho is to said this you know he got the blessing from vents to work over in New Japan he didn't appearance I think that's last w appearance was the raw 25th anniversary show where he was behind the scenes backstage area of like Barclays and he's wearing an alpha club shirt and he pitched the idea when he was holding the new Japan at the time their inner continental championship to take on the w. 141 00:24:24,200 --> 00:24:52,200 We undercut in all champion and there was no interest from vensac man Jericho reportedly talked events that he was got assigned with this company and vents you know wish them well and I think the story was that like Jericho may have been going to the launching like rally that they did that was right across street from Smackdown and Jacksonville or something along those lines were Vince told Jericho to get out of the contract and come back. 142 00:24:52,200 --> 00:25:01,200 That obviously didn't happen Jericho is like no I can't I'm going to stay here as I gave the my word you had the opportunity you didn't want to bring me back in this is where we're at. 143 00:25:01,200 --> 00:25:15,200 I don't think Jericho wanted to work for vents anymore on the creative standpoint he is he is shown love to triple H there was posted on call them his brother and all that stuff they have a long time your history if anybody's worth the Jericho books. 144 00:25:15,200 --> 00:25:41,200 I think he wants to go back and work for w.8 and I don't blame him I think working with hunter Paul of that is probably going to be a little more appealing to him than working with Tony Con right now think the creative was extremely flat and boring maybe w.8 get a little bit better out of my compare it to the situation of the way see him punk and triple H work with one another creatively recording reports obviously we don't know we're not buying the scenes. 145 00:25:41,200 --> 00:26:09,200 But it seems like punk is okay with what's going on and enjoys being there I think Jericho with thriving that particular situation as well so I think Jericho is going back to w.8 I don't think Melcher puts that stuff out there if there isn't some smoke to that fire because I think Melcher is a guy that's very well tied to the inner workings of a w.8 and not so much w.8 and I think this is coming from a w more than w.8 and he's verifying this with some of his w.8 sources. 146 00:26:09,200 --> 00:26:26,200 So if the boys in the back are talking about it but creative doesn't know anything about it we know how wrestling works I think there's some discussion like hey my contract coming up in 2026 would you like me back and then the discussion of the royal rumble date so I think Jericho is coming back to w.8 in 2026. 147 00:26:26,200 --> 00:26:55,200 Yeah I do like the fact though that with the way that Hunter's doing things with the crossovers like with triple A we've seen the stuff and with the Japanese with Japanese wrestling like there is more for a guy like Jericho who's like hey I think because you see Chris Jericho on an episode of a fall you know just wrestling some young kid just see how the kid does like I think at this point Jericho does like kind of getting in there so the younger guys and testing him out. 148 00:26:55,200 --> 00:27:01,200 And they kind of giving feedback on it and maybe that's the angle he wants to look at. 149 00:27:01,200 --> 00:27:15,200 I still my expectations I still feel like he's using this as leverage one way or the other but the longer this story is out there the more the odds go up that he will go to w.8. 150 00:27:15,200 --> 00:27:24,200 And I'm going to be like just right now got I'm low on it but the longer it lingers the more likely it is that he will make it the job back to the w.8. 151 00:27:24,200 --> 00:27:35,200 All right switching gears here there was a big moment on Monday's raw as in Naomi the now former WWE women's world champion announced her pregnancy and vacated the women's title. 152 00:27:35,200 --> 00:27:47,200 This has been rumored since she was pulled to her match with the EOS guy on last week's edition of Monday Night Raw to take on EOS guy so on the August 18th episode of raw Naomi revealed she was pregnant with her first child with Jimmy Uso. 153 00:27:47,200 --> 00:27:57,200 We're languishing the championship she declared there is a baby on board and lay the title in a ring promising to return even breastfeeding with my baby in my arms. 154 00:27:57,200 --> 00:28:07,200 The crowd obviously was very happy Naomi leading to the moment with the bloodline continues while expressing optimism about the evolving climate for women in WWE. 155 00:28:07,200 --> 00:28:25,200 Major major congratulations to Naomi and Jimmy Uso on this announcement she is seven weeks pregnant so she did wrestle a couple matches pregnant unknowingly from the life family aspect could not be more thrilled for the both of them. 156 00:28:25,200 --> 00:28:45,200 And if you listen to her story on Stephanie McBandes the bonus podcast they did for what your story and the fertility issues that she's had in the medical issues that she's had to get to this point it's a miracle legitimately that it's happening from the wrestling standpoint and obviously the selfish standpoint and none of us really want to say it but I'll say it. 157 00:28:45,200 --> 00:29:13,200 Obviously comes in a tough time because her career is really ascending but ultimately what will people remember you more what is the true legacy your child or that you held the championship in 2025 and it's a child and it's it's a life-changing experience Dr. Traykitt attested that I can now test to it could not be more happy for them but the selfish wrestling fan in me is this is going to be one of those what ifs it's like man what if she she ended up sticking around because I think she was ready to contend. 158 00:29:13,200 --> 00:29:37,200 I think she was ready to contend like timeless Tony Storm in my eyes Dr. Tray is the women's wrestler of the year right now so congratulations to Naomi and Jimmy Uso and then as a wrestling fan standpoint it does it does stink that we will be missing this current iteration of Naomi and we'll have to take a little bit of a break and we'll see her back in probably 18 24 months from now. 159 00:29:37,200 --> 00:30:05,200 Yeah, no I'm super happy for them like I've I've watched Naomi I mean since she first got to OBW like I remember people telling me about what this Trinity F1 2 was doing or back then just Trinity I was like man okay I keep my honor then you know from coming up as a funk a funk a dactyl where she's at now it's like man she's just I mean she's not she's not on a nadi's timeline as far as longevity but she's close. 160 00:30:05,200 --> 00:30:34,200 Just super happy for them of course just one more child would own child for the bloodline you know 3.04.0 here and 20 years so it does like it sucks on a timelines schedule for her because she was on such an assent right now but just like when Becky Lynch returned at Summer slam you know after she had her baby I mean when she returns Naomi's going to get a huge reaction it's going to be must see TV the people to jump all along. 161 00:30:34,200 --> 00:30:54,200 Baby face he'll work she land you know like we know the whole system could be upside down in a lot of ways by the time she comes back but just overall from one parent to now a on coming new parents it is completely life changing and just. 162 00:30:54,200 --> 00:31:23,200 I can definitely say that when my son wakes up at 3 am like it is 2 days ago not the best feeling the world but that does come to it so there is there is nobody better than when work they could cheer you up as quickly as your own child so congrats to Jimmy Uso and Naomi on this pregnancy and we wish them all the best and we wish a very. 163 00:31:23,200 --> 00:31:52,200 Healthy and safe pregnancy for her now as she's almost 2 months pregnant so the next 7 months wish her and Jimmy nothing but the best switching here's here to the TNA WWE partnership and potential sale rumors that are out there so according reports WWE's working agreement with TNA includes serious business provisions those include the contract reportedly grants WWE an option to purchase TNA within certain. 164 00:31:52,200 --> 00:32:19,200 And then just TNA within certain time frame as well as the right first of refusal meaning WWE can match any third party offer WWE appears keen on ensuring TNA remains quote friendly and that the promotion acts as a viable number 2 alternative day W potentially helping boost TV rights value rumors are suggesting that WWE may even back TNA and move to shift from Thursday to Wednesday nights directly competing with a W Dynamite on the CW network. 165 00:32:19,200 --> 00:32:48,200 The regulation includes interest from Lorenzo for for Rita the former UFC owner and acquiring TNA yet WWE is right of first refusal ensures any sales stays aligned with WWE's interest so WWE basically is looking for a partner that will want to remain a partner with them moving forward in commentary book or tea called the rumor credible while noting TNA currently looks healthy and not necessarily for sale but he did acknowledge WWE's deep pockets could change the landscape. 166 00:32:48,200 --> 00:33:05,200 This is while they don't own them doctor tray this is pretty interesting this report I never thought I would hear these words I've never thought I would hear partnership I never thought I would hear WWE can match any offer for anybody that tries to purchase TNA wrestling is this good or bad for TNA. 167 00:33:05,200 --> 00:33:17,200 For TNA is good it shows that they're healthy enough for people to be interested in that you can get in bad with WWE and they have the right to match or beat anybody's offer. 168 00:33:17,200 --> 00:33:34,200 If you were a truck like you know back when they were when they were on destination America nobody was really clamoring to buy them up obviously the partnership with WWE has been very healthy for their branding their ratings are off their attendance is up. 169 00:33:34,200 --> 00:34:02,200 It's they're a good healthy company right now it feels a little bit out on by you like but there are times it feels like back in the in the 90s when when ECW was getting cropped up by WWE at times and and kind of helping them fight WCW even though they were kind of a silent partner to it but it's it's been good for business I mean the crazy thing to me Jeff is like we're sitting here in 2025. 170 00:34:02,200 --> 00:34:31,200 When you and I started to show if you had told me at some point WWA own triple A they would own a ball and they be in a partnership with TNA I would have said that either Vince was had lost his mind or Vince assault the company completely and no McMahon was in any kind of range of running the company because that just it just seems crazy to see all these new budding partnerships and flowering relationships with all these extra companies and hearing WWA announcers mentioned. 171 00:34:31,200 --> 00:34:57,200 Somebody's a former you know TNA tag team champion or their former mega champion like triple a mega champion like that just just blows my mind still to this day has been going on now for what TNA for what 6, 8, 9 months and triple A for a little while too it's like it's just crazy the world we live in when WW either it's almost a little bit Jeff is kind of like when Vince bought all the territories. 172 00:34:57,200 --> 00:35:26,200 It is I mean this is great for TNA obviously right the partnership with WWA has been very very beneficial they have TNA is not not my radar and sometime even prior to the WWA partnership I heard they were doing some great things and would vaguely check them out but now I like increase interest because they've been on WWE programming for the last 9 months or so I think WWA ends up purchasing TNA I think one way or another you see TNA fall into the WWA umbrella the same way triple A. 173 00:35:26,200 --> 00:35:55,200 My concerns though are that they're going to have all these promotions and all these wrestlers on the contract if we if it loses it's a lustre a little bit right the A triple A partnership is something very much that we need to keep an eye on triple A triple Mania this past weekend I think did over like 2 million views on YouTube within 24 hours they know for 19,000 people in attendance but if you look at that card and I think it's really a lot of things. 174 00:35:55,200 --> 00:36:24,200 I think that card and I think if you're like a hardcore triple A fan it's riddled with the W. Stars in there whether be low of ice 99 heart the judgment day Dom Mysterio El Gra Named Americano dragon Lee like there's not many the ratio of W. Stars to triple A stars from they're on the roster earlier this year is is not even at all and that's my concern with TNA if TNA becomes under the W. Umbrella does everybody come with it. 175 00:36:24,200 --> 00:36:33,200 Is Nick nemith there is Brian Myers there guys that were within the company under different names does it still remain a TNA product but they just have W. U. D. 176 00:36:33,200 --> 00:37:02,200 deals you know that is and will kind of talk about this little bit when we when we talk about forbidden door here in just a couple minutes but what was the beauty of outside the WWE in AW bubble was an even going farther farther back when TNA was N. W. A. TNA is I miss the days of Ramon arrest lane being a top notch independent promotion I miss the days of reading stuff from C. C. W. A. I. 177 00:37:02,200 --> 00:37:24,200 W. A. I. W. Jersey all pro wrestling. Pro wrestling gorilla. U. P. W. Out on the West Coast. OVW watching the developmental territories H. W. A. Heartland Wrestling Association like I miss seeing all that stuff I miss hearing about pro wrestling revolver you know some of these places are still going on. 178 00:37:24,200 --> 00:37:36,200 You know I used to be up to speed on the independent promotions and then you would read about these guys and these girls and want to know more about them when shimmer was around as a company when evolve was a company dragging gate USA. 179 00:37:36,200 --> 00:37:48,200 Like that was fun as a wrestling fan to go up on you to work or trade tapes or trade DVDs and and check these people out and basically AW of suck those areas dry. 180 00:37:48,200 --> 00:37:57,200 They've even done it with some big promotions which you can make the case in New Japan which we'll talk about here in just a little bit I miss those days and that's the thing right. 181 00:37:57,200 --> 00:38:13,200 It's great for TNA right now the way that the product is but as time goes on does it no longer feel like TNA does it no longer feel like triple A should TNA go under the WWE in Brella that's a big question for me so. 182 00:38:13,200 --> 00:38:28,200 Yeah doctor try I think it's great for TNA right now I think it's great that WWE is helping them leverage their relationships for the CW network to potentially land there and compete with AW on Wednesday nights which I think is lame we talked about that already there's plenty room for everybody. 183 00:38:28,200 --> 00:38:36,200 But I think ultimately if WWE purchase them I'm going to be looking at this with some trepidation like I am right now with triple A. 184 00:38:36,200 --> 00:38:42,200 By the way I'm just mad that I remember that was my bold prediction from like two years ago so I'm still kind of stupid. 185 00:38:42,200 --> 00:39:04,200 I'm late on it but or I was way early on it but you know like you're absolutely right like on one hand it's like yeah if TNA becomes a holy fund is a city area of WWE it's going to be you know it's going to be kind of sad because I mean that's the link to the AJ's the Bobby Roads the Samoa Joe's the Jeff Jarrett's all those guys. 186 00:39:04,200 --> 00:39:30,200 And it does feel sad that they've kind of you know AW and W have gone in and bought up out of the major independent promotions or they like that but you know wrestling always evolves and when Vince bought up all the territories and WCW and it was those who were the main that's what led to the ring of honor there's always going to be a push back against the machines so to speak and so. 187 00:39:30,200 --> 00:39:59,200 Like in the short term it's good for TNA in the long term it might be bad for TNA but in the long long term 15 years from now we might see a whole squad of new independent promotions rise up where people are just like I don't like how they do in their business I don't like how they're doing theirs let's just do our own thing and they get popular that's what birth ECW that's what birth all those promotions you just mentioned was people getting fed up with a certain way things were ran and then they decided they wanted to do a change to it so. 188 00:39:59,200 --> 00:40:09,200 I just look at like wrestling is always going to evolve and there's always going to be you know what's the online in Jurassic Park life always finds a way wrestling always finds a way. 189 00:40:09,200 --> 00:40:28,200 Yeah it's it's interesting times I think the comparison ECW in the mid-1990s is great because it later come to find out that WWE was bank rolling ECW and it did help revive them it changed the way and you know we've talked about this relationship and the way that WWE's changed their business model and stuff. 190 00:40:28,200 --> 00:40:57,200 And basically they took what AW was doing and they made it better with the partnerships that are available you know partnerships with you know now they own AAA they have a partnership with TNA they basically have a partnership with pro wrestling Noah so it's it's it's nice to see and I think those partnerships have paid off better than some of the partnerships that AW has right now which which takes us to our next topic here is for Ben and door takes place this Sunday from the O2 to the 191 00:40:57,200 --> 00:41:17,200 arena in London England running through the card here there's a lights out steel cage match of Kenny Omega and Kodo Bushi Darby Allen Hiroshi Tonashi and well Osprey who needs next surgery which will put him out for over a year which is extremely sad taking on Claudio Castignoli John Moxley the unboxing Gabe kid you have the hurts 192 00:41:17,200 --> 00:41:27,200 into kid taking on Brodino and FTR for the AW role titles Okao defense even if I championship against work strictly really looking forward to that one Tony Storm defense the women's world championship gets a 193 00:41:27,200 --> 00:41:40,200 the most in the world championship gets a the number Mercedes Monet defense her TBS championship against Alex Windsor press a phone and pa zilla Kyle Fletcher defense against her own who talk a Hashi in the TNT championship match the I WGP World 194 00:41:40,200 --> 00:41:50,200 Avoid Championship Zach Saber Jr. takes on Nigel McGinnis with Daniel Garcia in his corner really looking forward to that one that should be a technical spectacle like we saw in collision the AW World 195 00:41:50,200 --> 00:42:06,200 Championship will be online hangman and page taken on MJF the title change can be allowed via counter or DQ for hangman page and then the tag team match of Copeland and Christian taking on kill switch and Kipps Sabian as unfortunately Nick Wayne is out with a broken foot and will miss some time. 196 00:42:06,200 --> 00:42:18,200 So that is the card that we will be seeing on Sunday all I can think about Dr. Shraiz we run through this card you've got ton of Hashi Gabe kid is in one match you've got 197 00:42:18,200 --> 00:42:33,200 got Hashi Zach Saber Jr. in a match and that's really it back in the day or pretty recently when they brought on this for for been indoor concept there was even matches or even wrestlers from New Japan 198 00:42:33,200 --> 00:42:46,200 and even wrestlers wrestlers from AW it was like a dream card this is feeling more like an AW show with just some New Japan stars sprinkled in there it doesn't feel like an AW 199 00:42:46,200 --> 00:42:54,200 New Japan pro wrestling combined effort anymore because New Japan doesn't have the roster like they used to thanks to AW 200 00:42:54,200 --> 00:43:05,200 do you miss the old days in New Japan did AW read basically riddle their roster and was this partnership ultimately beneficial for New Japan 201 00:43:05,200 --> 00:43:20,200 for New Japan I was obviously not I mean wait hey W's rated the coffers and basic strips strip them down for just you know parts there's not a whole lot left and then you read the report where like it's like Tony Khan doesn't like evil 202 00:43:20,200 --> 00:43:29,200 it was like yeah what is out of that guy like that's one of the top guys and that's why you get a show like this where's like you get Zach Saber Jr. 203 00:43:29,200 --> 00:43:43,200 but Zach Saber Jr. is being kind of in and out of both of you know he's been in WWE in the cruiserweight classic he's appeared on AW television he's kind of he's kind of where will Osprey was two years ago 204 00:43:43,200 --> 00:43:52,200 you know it's kinda Hashi's basically winding out his new Japan run because I think he's moving into the presidential role here soon 205 00:43:52,200 --> 00:44:07,200 so you know Edo there's some of the guys that we've seen before are you on this course so it feels like a stripped down version I do miss the original for Ben Dore because that felt like what you and I did were your kids when we match up roster 206 00:44:07,200 --> 00:44:17,200 like who would win between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Goldberg you know but that's not the world we live in now New Japan doesn't have a whole lot going for it 207 00:44:17,200 --> 00:44:32,200 like comparison because Gabe Kim was like their best young star and he's basically been in the last six months so it is kind of a I don't I want to team the version of the original for Ben Dore but it does kind of feel like 208 00:44:32,200 --> 00:44:46,200 yeah we just we want to keep the name we want to keep the brand but and we have so I guess we have to let a few you know New Japan guys on the show but only the ones we like not not the ones that every fan like just just special ones 209 00:44:46,200 --> 00:45:00,200 yeah I mean that was a really weird report that evil is not he's not Tony Khan is not a fan of evil at all which I found odd because yeah like you mentioned evil is is one of their top wrestlers that it's out there 210 00:45:00,200 --> 00:45:11,200 even though Meltzer say that the House of Torture stable is is not well received in Japan it's a shell of itself you don't have to see a Nido on the roster anymore 211 00:45:11,200 --> 00:45:26,200 that's not a ton of Hashi is retiring at the end of the year it's there's not a lot of stars so it's not what it used to be when when you would have the I WGP tag team titles defended on there 212 00:45:26,200 --> 00:45:37,200 it's unfortunate but yeah it's because AW rated the roster and brought all the guys that they wanted over here and they already had Omega in the box 213 00:45:37,200 --> 00:45:53,200 Cody even and then eventually O'Cotta comes over so in our sprays here as you pointed out and it feels like a spray the aspect one could be compared to like Zach Saber Jr. right now like a saber junior going to be someone that eventually shows up in AW 214 00:45:53,200 --> 00:46:05,200 and then I think the last thing that I'll mention your doctor tray is look who won the G1 climax tournament can us get to cash go has won that so he will be in I believe he will be in the main event of rustling 215 00:46:05,200 --> 00:46:15,200 looking in January take it on whoever the I WGP champion is I'm a big fan of Tikeshka I know he's a contract in New Japan but I look at it more as an AW guy 216 00:46:15,200 --> 00:46:21,200 so it's worked out this partnerships worked out really well for AW 217 00:46:21,200 --> 00:46:35,200 kind of feels like the AWT and APARTRATION it feels really really one side and you and I when we were doing actual predictions for for Ben Doher the last couple years it was kind of like 218 00:46:35,200 --> 00:46:44,200 oh it's an AW you got a new Japan guy the AW guys winning like New Japan really got no big wins out of this out of the last three years out of this 219 00:46:44,200 --> 00:46:56,200 nobody really got hot that stayed in New Japan like if somebody was getting over like I mean Okado is already over but when it was an osprey or somebody else 220 00:46:56,200 --> 00:47:06,200 AW was stanching him up and if AW wasn't stanching him up W he was figuring out a way to bring in the grills of destiny and Hikoleo and everybody else 221 00:47:06,200 --> 00:47:18,200 somebody was snatching up somebody if they got hot in New Japan so yeah it just it does feel like a shell of his former self I mean it feels like the original for Ben Doher was like five years ago 222 00:47:18,200 --> 00:47:31,200 six years ago and it was only like what three years ago yeah it was right after the pandemic yeah yeah so it this should just basically be an AW show 223 00:47:31,200 --> 00:47:41,200 and I don't feel like this is forbidden or anymore quite honestly so we'll see how the show is on Sunday at the O2 Arena in London 224 00:47:41,200 --> 00:47:47,200 England and then the other show that is taking place this Sunday annex the heatway from the low Memorial Auditorium and Lowell Massachusetts 225 00:47:47,200 --> 00:47:54,200 you have Jordan Gray taking on black Blake Monroe Hank and Tang taking on two members of dark steak for the annexing tag team championship 226 00:47:54,200 --> 00:48:01,200 TNA knockouts World Championship will be defending a triple threat as JCJ and takes on Masha Slamovic and Ash by elegance 227 00:48:01,200 --> 00:48:07,200 number will contend a triple threat for the annexing women's title Jada Parker versus Kalani versus Lola Vice 228 00:48:07,200 --> 00:48:15,200 a mixed-tack team match of Chelsea Green and Ethan Page taking on Tyrone May steel and Tavion Heights and then the annexing championship will be defended by Oba Family as he takes on 229 00:48:15,200 --> 00:48:20,200 Javion Evans Dr. Trey are you looking forward to heatwave this Sunday 230 00:48:20,200 --> 00:48:26,200 I am looking forward to heatwave and it's weird it's a lot of it's also because of the location 231 00:48:26,200 --> 00:48:36,200 Lowell Massachusetts there's always some kind of weird title change in low Massachusetts whether it was I think it was when JoBit Baller in low 232 00:48:36,200 --> 00:48:41,200 Lowell Massachusetts for the annexed title there's always some kind of weird title change that goes on and low 233 00:48:41,200 --> 00:48:52,200 so I'm excited for it and he's been really good there there are some people so these LFG people I'm still trying to figure out really if I like them if I think they're a big time tall 234 00:48:52,200 --> 00:49:06,200 and or they're just kind of filter or they're just a kind of anomaly for right now but for the most part I mean anytime I get Chelsea Green on any show I'm going to be excited about it because she might she's my joy to watch on TV right now 235 00:49:06,200 --> 00:49:21,200 Yeah annexes been really good again I think it sucks that they're going head head with one another well AW will be earlier in the days since it's in London but the way the Tony Khan runs things he may have a go for eight hours because we know he loves certainly long pay per views 236 00:49:21,200 --> 00:49:30,200 so lots of wrestling that will be covered all
