- 0:17Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:22Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Mallley, along with
- 0:26Speaker 1: Trey Trendholm and Raj Sharma. It used to be that
- 0:35Speaker 1: a sign of fall is when Starbucks shifts into fall
- 0:39Speaker 1: drink mode, which the last few years has actually started
- 0:42Speaker 1: in August. But right now it seems like the first
- 0:46Speaker 1: indicator of a changing season, even though it's not. Is
- 0:54Speaker 1: my annual head cold? Yeah, I don't think you can
- 0:58Speaker 1: necessarily hear it in my voice yet, but my wife
- 1:01Speaker 1: heard it in my snoring last night. So while I
- 1:04Speaker 1: can actually breathe through my nose, I can feel it
- 1:09Speaker 1: in the back of my throat. I can feel it
- 1:12Speaker 1: building inside my head. And I'm not the only one.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I have a cold as well.
- 1:19Speaker 1: This is one of the few times that Trey is
- 1:21Speaker 1: not the sick one.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah, especially when it comes to sinus and allergy stuff.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I look at it this way. It could
- 1:30Speaker 1: be way, way worse. We could have gone on vacation
- 1:34Speaker 1: and had a wild bat fly into our mouths. Okay, yeah,
- 1:42Speaker 1: aren't you glad you aren't this lady? A woman on
- 1:45Speaker 1: vacation wound up with over twenty thousand dollars in medical
- 1:52Speaker 1: bills after a bat flew into her mouth. Wow, I
- 1:58Speaker 1: realized this is a story about a woman on vacation
- 2:01Speaker 1: and a bat flies into her mouth. But this story
- 2:05Speaker 1: has a larger picture, and that is the state of
- 2:09Speaker 1: our medical insurance situation. So a little more info here.
- 2:16Speaker 1: A woman on vacation whose employer sponsored health plan had
- 2:20Speaker 1: lapsed after recently being laid off wound up with over
- 2:25Speaker 1: twenty thousand dollars in medical bills after a bat flew
- 2:28Speaker 1: into her mouth. Erica Khan was visiting Glenn Canyon National
- 2:32Speaker 1: Recreation Area in Arizona last August when the horrific encounter
- 2:36Speaker 1: with the winged mammal took place. The former biomedical engineer
- 2:44Speaker 1: noticed a number of bats flying around while she was
- 2:46Speaker 1: outside taking pictures of the night sky, but didn't think
- 2:48Speaker 1: much of it. That is until one got too close
- 2:52Speaker 1: for comfort, winding up trapped between her camera and her face.
- 2:57Speaker 1: When she screamed in terror, sorry a little laugh, an
- 3:05Speaker 1: unknown part of the bat wound up in her mouth
- 3:08Speaker 1: for a few seconds. I love this story unknown part
- 3:15Speaker 1: of the bat, but I think we all know what
- 3:21Speaker 1: part we want.
- 3:22Speaker 3: It to be.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't I don't think they wanted to say, and.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Might might explain the source of infection. Anyway. Her father,
- 3:36Speaker 1: a physician who had been traveling with her, loved that sentence.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Who had been traveling with her until the bat queen
- 3:43Speaker 1: flew into his daughter's mouth, and that's when he's like,
- 3:45Speaker 1: that's it, I'm no more traveling with you, said she
- 3:51Speaker 1: should immediately start a course of Rabi's treatments, even though
- 3:54Speaker 1: she wasn't sure if she had been bitten. I like
- 3:59Speaker 1: to think I would know if a bat bit.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Me when I think that's just the protocols to do
- 4:06Speaker 2: RABY shots.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Right, I guess, But I mean if it didn't actually
- 4:10Speaker 1: bite you, I mean, what's It's just you just came
- 4:12Speaker 1: in contact with it. Although it sounds like she did
- 4:15Speaker 1: come in close contact with the bat.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Sounds like she bit the bat.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Ooh, sounds like it.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Actually.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I know we're all missing Aussie, but that's a little ridiculous.
- 4:27Speaker 1: There are other ways to pay your respects. She quickly
- 4:31Speaker 1: went online to purchase a medical insurance plan before going
- 4:34Speaker 1: to a hospital and flagstaff to begin treatments, under the
- 4:37Speaker 1: impression it would cover her two week course of RABY shots,
- 4:40Speaker 1: which she received at clinics in Arizona, Massachusetts, and Colorado.
- 4:44Speaker 1: But her biggest shock came when the bill arrived, showing
- 4:46Speaker 1: she owed twenty thousand, seven hundred and forty nine dollars
- 4:50Speaker 1: between the four facilities for treatment, including four doses of
- 4:53Speaker 1: the rabies vaccines and three shots of immunogloblin to increase
- 4:58Speaker 1: antibodies against the virus, which is fatal if left untreated.
- 5:03Speaker 1: She didn't realize the insurance plan she had purchased a
- 5:05Speaker 1: day before starting treatment required a thirty day waiting period
- 5:09Speaker 1: before coverage would kick in. An explanation of benefits letter
- 5:13Speaker 1: she got in the mail grimly explained. She says that
- 5:17Speaker 1: I thought it must have been a mistake, but I
- 5:19Speaker 1: guess I was naive. Yeah. After being laid off from
- 5:23Speaker 1: her engineer position the previous month, she opted against keeping
- 5:26Speaker 1: her insurance under Cobra for six hundred and fifty dollars
- 5:30Speaker 1: a month, rolling the dice that she would not wind
- 5:32Speaker 1: up facing an unexpected medical emergency. This is another shocking
- 5:36Speaker 1: angle to this story. The fact that she could have
- 5:39Speaker 1: had Cobra for six hundred and fifty dollars a month
- 5:43Speaker 1: is astounding because when I was in that exact position
- 5:48Speaker 1: almost three years ago. It was not six fifty a month.
- 5:51Speaker 1: It was like nineteen hundred dollars, to which I said, no,
- 5:57Speaker 1: I'm good, I'll just go cash patient if something bad
- 6:00Speaker 1: does happen.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, soifty a month, that is uh, shockingly low
- 6:08Speaker 3: for cobra.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know what cobra is.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Cobra is a temporary healthcare. It basically when you get
- 6:17Speaker 3: laid off or fired from a job and you have healthcare,
- 6:19Speaker 3: it's kind of a technically it's government subsidized, but you
- 6:23Speaker 3: pay out the ass for it, but they they by law,
- 6:25Speaker 3: have to continue covering you, I want to say, for
- 6:28Speaker 3: six months if but you have to pay it's you're
- 6:32Speaker 3: basically paying what you were paying plus what the employer
- 6:34Speaker 3: contributions were.
- 6:36Speaker 1: So uh like, it is freakishly expensive.
- 6:40Speaker 3: The last time I dealt with cobra was when we
- 6:44Speaker 3: got laid off from CBS at the end of two
- 6:47Speaker 3: thousand and eight, so the first part of two thousand
- 6:50Speaker 3: and nine. And I think my Cobra then was like
- 6:54Speaker 3: seventy seventy five like, and that's such seventeen years ago.
- 7:00Speaker 3: And that was before the Affordable Care Act and everything,
- 7:02Speaker 3: and you know, completely changing. Uh so, yeah, that's that
- 7:07Speaker 3: is shocking.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Yeah, so cobra is an option, but it is in
- 7:12Speaker 1: no way a good option when it comes to extending
- 7:15Speaker 1: the health benefits you had at your previous job. It
- 7:18Speaker 1: basically is just telling you, Okay, you can keep this,
- 7:21Speaker 1: but it's going to be so expensive at a time
- 7:23Speaker 1: when you can't afford to be spending shocking amounts of
- 7:27Speaker 1: money on really anything, that you really do wind up thinking,
- 7:31Speaker 1: you know, it's probably better off that I just try
- 7:35Speaker 1: to find something else like Affordable Care Act options or
- 7:39Speaker 1: just go cash patient and hope that I don't catch
- 7:41Speaker 1: anything between now and the next job.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Well, and a lot of times it's the realization of
- 7:47Speaker 3: what healthcare actually cost and what the employer contribution is
- 7:50Speaker 3: on those things.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's also an important reminder that if you're
- 7:54Speaker 1: around many many bats, keep your mouth shut.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Solid advice. I mean, the more you know.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I'm here to help, I am. I am a I
- 8:11Speaker 1: am a one man public service announcement. When you're around fats,
- 8:17Speaker 1: keep your mouth shut.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Now, I feel to say, it's ten pm. Do you
- 8:21Speaker 3: know where your children are?
- 8:29Speaker 4: You're listening to the Treehouse.

- 8:58Speaker 1: with outdoor spaces now.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Absolutely Den And you know, it's a fun project. It's

- 9:22Speaker 6: in getting an estimate on either extending their concrete pad,
- 9:25Speaker 6: putting stamped concrete in pergolas, patio extensions, adding outdoor kitchen,
- 9:32Speaker 6: all kinds of fun things, and so have us come
- 9:34Speaker 6: out during that time frame. We're going to come out,
- 9:36Speaker 6: give you the estimate. What does kind of you know,
- 9:39Speaker 6: costs are going to be and even if you don't
- 9:41Speaker 6: get the item right, then we're still going to enter
- 9:43Speaker 6: you into promotion to win a big green egg that
- 9:46Speaker 6: we have partnered up with one of the local barbecue
- 9:48Speaker 6: stores for and then that way, at the end of
- 9:51Speaker 6: that promotion, we're going to draw somebody's winner. Regardless if
- 9:53Speaker 6: you purchase from us or not, somebody's gonna win a really,
- 9:57Speaker 6: really cool, big green egg that's outstanding.

- 10:31Speaker 1: This segment of the Treehouse Show is brought to you
- 10:33Speaker 1: by Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration to get your free
- 10:36Speaker 1: roof inspection called eight three three Cook DFW. You want
- 10:40Speaker 1: to make sure that your roof is able to withstand
- 10:43Speaker 1: the next storm, or you want to make sure there
- 10:45Speaker 1: aren't any bats living up there that might fly into
- 10:47Speaker 1: your mouth when you least expect it, leading to thousands
- 10:51Speaker 1: of dollars in medical bills. Call Daniel Cook, let him
- 10:54Speaker 1: go up there and interact with those things. Eight three
- 10:57Speaker 1: three Cook DFW or the website Cook dfw dot com.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I had intended to talk about one thing. I am
- 11:07Speaker 1: now slightly distracted about the possibility of bat and mouth
- 11:10Speaker 1: disease being a thing, so I'm going to keep my
- 11:12Speaker 1: mouth shut as much as possible at dusk. But I
- 11:17Speaker 1: got distracted by a third thing because during that break
- 11:19Speaker 1: I look I look up at Trey, and Trey looks
- 11:22Speaker 1: like he's in the middle of trying to book a flight.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Not because I could see, and it's not that I
- 11:29Speaker 1: could see the words of destinations or things. It's because
- 11:33Speaker 1: I saw a distinctive yellow heading on the top part
- 11:37Speaker 1: of his phone, which I know to be the Spirit
- 11:39Speaker 1: Airlines website on a phone, Trey, is there something you
- 11:44Speaker 1: need to tell us? Uh?
- 11:46Speaker 3: No, I've got a work trip that I was booking,
- 11:49Speaker 3: got to go to Vegas, and uh. I was exploring
- 11:53Speaker 3: my options. And as I have said before, I really
- 11:57Speaker 3: have never had a bad experience on Spirit. And you
- 12:01Speaker 3: know what, you can book the basically Spirit first Class,
- 12:04Speaker 3: which is those comfy seats and everything else, and uh,
- 12:09Speaker 3: it was a good price.
- 12:10Speaker 1: So I remember I had to school Fox four's consumer
- 12:16Speaker 1: reporter Steve Noviello on this exact thing a handful of
- 12:19Speaker 1: years ago, because I was in the middle of booking
- 12:21Speaker 1: a flight to Saint Thomas, and Steve was like, you're
- 12:25Speaker 1: going Spirit, Come on, dude, fork off the money, go
- 12:28Speaker 1: take a nicer airline. And I said, well, hang on here,
- 12:32Speaker 1: snobby Mick Snoberson, and I proceeded to tell him that
- 12:36Speaker 1: for that particular leg going from Dallas to Saint Thomas,
- 12:40Speaker 1: Spirit Airlines had the best track record. Is it the
- 12:42Speaker 1: most comfortable seat? Hell no, but it got me there
- 12:47Speaker 1: way better than American ever did and any others. So
- 12:50Speaker 1: that was the one place that I would do it.
- 12:52Speaker 1: And I told him same thing that you're saying right now, Trey.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I can book the big front seat on Spirit Airlines
- 13:02Speaker 1: for the same or maybe cheaper than I can economy
- 13:07Speaker 1: on American. Yeah, and and then things aren't so bad.
- 13:16Speaker 3: No, I can basically, you know, Southwest is the easiest
- 13:20Speaker 3: for me just because I live right by love Field,
- 13:24Speaker 3: But yeah, if I cannot be squished and for basically
- 13:28Speaker 3: the same price, fly Spirit and get one of those big,
- 13:33Speaker 3: comfy upfront seats. I'll take it.
- 13:36Speaker 1: And now they've changed those big front seats to where
- 13:39Speaker 1: you're buying a package, so you're not just buying the
- 13:41Speaker 1: seat like it used to be. You buy the seat,
- 13:43Speaker 1: and then if you want to drink some stuff, you
- 13:45Speaker 1: got to pay for that as well. But now that
- 13:47Speaker 1: big front seat is its own package. So you get
- 13:49Speaker 1: the seat and you get free drinks and snacks and luggage, yes,
- 13:55Speaker 1: and a free checked bag. And I think they even
- 13:59Speaker 1: let you punch a flight crew member as well. That's
- 14:03Speaker 1: a great package. Look, Spirit is aware of their of
- 14:07Speaker 1: their of their customer base, so they'll give you one
- 14:09Speaker 1: free smack after that. Then you know, FAA regulations kick it.
- 14:15Speaker 1: But if you're flying coach in Spirit, you can't hit
- 14:17Speaker 1: the flight crew. Sorry, you gotta pay for the privilege.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Which is interesting because then because then depending on the flight,
- 14:30Speaker 1: you may because sometimes they'll offer you things mid flight,
- 14:33Speaker 1: you know, to maybe if you want to upgrade, So
- 14:35Speaker 1: maybe that would be an interesting thing. It's like, oh,
- 14:37Speaker 1: you're flying coach, but say one of the flight attendants
- 14:40Speaker 1: really pissed you off, you can just ask the other
- 14:42Speaker 1: one and be like, hey, how much to upgrade for
- 14:44Speaker 1: punch a flight attendant. How much is that because I
- 14:45Speaker 1: like to take advantage of that right now.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Yeah, but you got to jump on that early because
- 14:49Speaker 3: like everything with Spirit, it's a limited quantity, so not
- 14:51Speaker 3: everyone is eligible for that upgrade.
- 14:53Speaker 1: That's right. You better hurry up because there's this, there's this.
- 14:57Speaker 1: There's this shady looking guy in big front seat number too,
- 15:00Speaker 1: that's looking real punchy.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Now I think it comes. I think it comes complimentary
- 15:05Speaker 3: with the big front seat.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Well, yeah it does, but yeah, you're right, the person
- 15:09Speaker 1: sitting behind the big front maybe it's.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Just starting to remind me of that scene from Airplane
- 15:12Speaker 2: for News. I'll just wind up to just smack that.
- 15:17Speaker 8: Yeah, now it's attention ladies from gentlemen. Well, the flight
- 15:20Speaker 8: time today will be about one hour and fifty six minutes,
- 15:23Speaker 8: or the cruising off to two to thirty six thousand feet.
- 15:25Speaker 8: The punch of flight attended part of the flight will
- 15:28Speaker 8: kick in in about thirty minutes. That'll be after I
- 15:31Speaker 8: turn off the.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Seat belt sign. So wait until that seat belt sign
- 15:34Speaker 1: turns off.
- 15:34Speaker 8: As soon as that's off, then you can assume your
- 15:37Speaker 8: spot's in line mid AFT.
- 15:41Speaker 2: I like how you the beatdown starts after drink service.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I can get my cocktails in and starting.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Well, not like that, because then you got because then
- 15:51Speaker 1: you got it, because as they're taking the cart down
- 15:53Speaker 1: the aisle, you got to hit a few people to
- 15:56Speaker 1: drum up more sales for people wanting to hit you afterwards. Which,
- 16:00Speaker 1: by the way, if you've never been hit by the
- 16:02Speaker 1: service cart, oh my god, that hurts.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Yes I have.
- 16:07Speaker 2: It's brutal and they don't do anything about it.
- 16:09Speaker 1: No, there are no apologies. That's on you. Yep, stop
- 16:13Speaker 1: man spreading. That has a hard lesson to learn man literally.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Oh anyway, so when do you fly in Spirit Trey.
- 16:36Speaker 3: A couple of weeks. I gotta go to Vegas for
- 16:38Speaker 3: a fashion trade show.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you know what, Flying Spirit. Flying Spirit will
- 16:48Speaker 1: give you excellent research in fashion leading up to the event.
- 16:55Speaker 1: It's like the upside down of Milan Runway.
- 17:00Speaker 2: I was gonna say, if it was a cargo short convention, Yes,
- 17:04Speaker 2: experience perfect.

- 17:59Speaker 1: is open. Let's grow. Raj, you posted something on Instagram
- 18:05Speaker 1: recently and I need to take issue with it and
- 18:07Speaker 1: you because it is really really troubling the content of
- 18:13Speaker 1: this particular post and I feel the need to address
- 18:16Speaker 1: it here on the show. Okay, I don't know who
- 18:20Speaker 1: this individual is or where you found this song, but
- 18:23Speaker 1: you you posted it with the caption when you want
- 18:26Speaker 1: to get your person in the mood, and this is
- 18:29Speaker 1: the song that plays with a young African American man
- 18:32Speaker 1: dancing and apparently courting a young lady.
- 18:37Speaker 4: It's something about your.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Line.
- 18:42Speaker 4: Ah, it's well, oh you'll get me one to tell
- 18:46Speaker 4: the dress not better?
- 18:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah. Two questions, number one, what is wrong with you?
- 18:57Speaker 1: And and number two is this that frapper guy from Africa?
- 19:03Speaker 3: That guy's not dad, he's mute?
- 19:07Speaker 1: Sorry? Sorry?
- 19:09Speaker 9: Is it?
- 19:09Speaker 1: That was my first question because if it is, then
- 19:12Speaker 1: I can't say all the other things that are in
- 19:14Speaker 1: my head. But if it's not, then it's free rain
- 19:16Speaker 1: on this Dude's musical abilities.
- 19:18Speaker 2: It is not. It's ice jfish, I think, is what
- 19:21Speaker 2: he goes by, or ice JJ fish something like that.
- 19:25Speaker 2: We all have our rabbit holes that we kind of
- 19:28Speaker 2: get sucked into, and mine happens to be really, really
- 19:33Speaker 2: bad singing.
- 19:34Speaker 3: So well, congratulations, Yeah, you clearly reached the end of
- 19:40Speaker 3: the internet.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Yeah you went. You went headfirst into that rabbit hole
- 19:47Speaker 1: and you went all the way to the end.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Because the beat was like when I started listening to it,
- 19:52Speaker 2: people were like making fun of him, and I was like, hey,
- 19:54Speaker 2: it's a young kid, you know, he's probably starting out.
- 19:56Speaker 2: The beat was really good, right, and I was like, okay,
- 19:59Speaker 2: that's it's a solid beat. And then the singing started
- 20:03Speaker 2: and I was like, oh, this is going on, this
- 20:05Speaker 2: is going on the ground all.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Right, let me let me let me listen to it again.
- 20:09Speaker 1: See if I can separate the singing from the actual
- 20:13Speaker 1: beat here, right, Okay, I can't. I cannot separate those
- 20:23Speaker 1: vocals from that music. I can't. I can't do it.
- 20:26Speaker 1: They're one of the same.
- 20:29Speaker 2: The beats started off pretty dope, and then and then
- 20:34Speaker 2: I don't know where they get the money to do this, Like,
- 20:37Speaker 2: where do you get enough money? And time and how
- 20:41Speaker 2: you hire models and stuff like this, and producers and
- 20:43Speaker 2: how no producer said anything to him while he was
- 20:46Speaker 2: recording the tracks.
- 20:47Speaker 1: You know what, some even even producers got to make
- 20:50Speaker 1: rent on those studios. They'll let you want to come
- 20:52Speaker 1: in and do a birthday thing. Sure, yeah, give me
- 20:55Speaker 1: my money up front and I'll I'll mix it for
- 20:57Speaker 1: you a bit.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Who this guy watched some YouTube videos and produced himself.
- 21:04Speaker 2: But I think he has a whole album out, So
- 21:08Speaker 2: just be prepared for in the future more ice jjfish. Yeah.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I think we're ready for a series. And you're right
- 21:17Speaker 1: because the girls that are in this video, I don't
- 21:21Speaker 1: think he knows them because if he did, or and
- 21:24Speaker 1: they knew him and they heard the song, I don't
- 21:26Speaker 1: think they would have agreed to be in this video.
- 21:29Speaker 1: I think he had to go out and find them,
- 21:31Speaker 1: or perhaps he is trafficking them and this is how
- 21:35Speaker 1: they get their citizenship.
- 21:38Speaker 2: That's how they get their passports back.
- 21:41Speaker 1: If you want to go home wherever it as you're from,
- 21:43Speaker 1: you have to appear in my awful R and B
- 21:46Speaker 1: video and then I'll send you back.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 2: So I think we will start a series at least
- 21:53Speaker 2: once every two weeks we'll put up another ice jjfish song.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Oh yeah, and the name that's uh ice jj Fish
- 22:04Speaker 3: but an homage to ice Cube, Iced Tea, JJ Walker,
- 22:13Speaker 3: Lawrence Fishburn, I mean.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Please meet JJ Walker yea, and the album should be
- 22:21Speaker 2: called Dynamite but uh yeah, I mean I for for
- 22:28Speaker 2: you know, anytime you want to get the lady, you know,
- 22:30Speaker 2: kind of going throw this track down.
- 22:34Speaker 1: And uh that's.
- 22:37Speaker 2: World you will get me wanting to there's.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Not real quick How old is this song and video?
- 22:49Speaker 1: Because this guy is wearing an Affliction shirt and that'll
- 22:52Speaker 1: that has not been cool since like two thousand and four.
- 22:55Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure it's brand new.
- 22:58Speaker 3: That's actually what's old is new again because Ed Hardy's
- 23:03Speaker 3: making a comeback, So don't rule out Affliction.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Oh yes it is. It's it's so terrible.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Okay. Then in that case, what's worse Ed Hardy and
- 23:12Speaker 1: Affliction coming back as cool again, or this guy's music
- 23:18Speaker 1: it's some.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Girl that's well, oh man.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I tell you what though he's uh he seems to
- 23:28Speaker 1: be going after Luke Brian's lime, Luke Brian's rhyming ability
- 23:32Speaker 1: because he's you know, rhyming girl and twirl mm hmm.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yeah. I think ed Hardy's worse.
- 23:40Speaker 3: I think they're synonymous. I mean I I think this
- 23:43Speaker 3: could be the theme song for their comeback.
- 23:47Speaker 1: You know what, I guess you're right. And if you're
- 23:48Speaker 1: if you're this guy, you'll take any sponsor you can get.
- 23:51Speaker 1: And if skulls with roses in their teeth are cool again,
- 23:55Speaker 1: then by god, let this man eat.
- 23:58Speaker 3: I mean that that honestly. If you especially if you
- 24:02Speaker 3: didn't see the video and you just kind of heard
- 24:03Speaker 3: the song and you told me that was, you know,
- 24:06Speaker 3: something that Tommy Davidson Dinn did on in Living Color,
- 24:08Speaker 3: I'd been like, Okay.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely would have believed it.
- 24:14Speaker 3: I did.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Like the guy in the comment section who had brought
- 24:16Speaker 1: up a great point, he said, I'm gonna tell my
- 24:18Speaker 1: kids this was Chris Brown. I'm in full support of that,
- 24:21Speaker 1: because f Chris Brown.

- 25:28Speaker 1: to Ice jj Fish. That's the guy's name, Raj I
- 25:32Speaker 1: believe so they Yeah, God, you do that really well?
- 25:43Speaker 1: They have a no character on the show. I'm just
- 25:51Speaker 1: gonna start following my wife around. See if that seduces here.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Come on, It's like if Quagmire was really injured. That's
- 26:00Speaker 2: what it's.
- 26:07Speaker 1: All right. It is Tuesday inside the Treehouse, and that
- 26:09Speaker 1: means it is time for Treehouse Talk Back. So here
- 26:13Speaker 1: we go. We are starting off today with our good
- 26:16Speaker 1: old pal or yeah, our good old pal, Robert Powell.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Right here we go.
- 26:25Speaker 9: Hey, it's Robert the uh. The story about the Katie
- 26:34Speaker 9: trail dating thing was rather funny. But if you're gonna
- 26:38Speaker 9: do over fifty, then you would have to rename it
- 26:41Speaker 9: the Rascal round Up and uh and go for that,
- 26:46Speaker 9: and it would be the way Tko.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Rush. Were you here when Trey told us about the
- 26:52Speaker 1: Katie Trail round Up? No, Trey, would you inform him
- 26:56Speaker 1: please first?
- 26:57Speaker 3: So it's the Daity Trail. Sorry, this girl she started
- 27:02Speaker 3: this thing, I don't know, three months ago, called it
- 27:06Speaker 3: the Daity Trail. And so they take places on you know,
- 27:11Speaker 3: on the KTI Trail or around it and have events where,
- 27:13Speaker 3: you know, for singles and and it just immediately exploded.
- 27:18Speaker 3: I mean I think by their second event they had
- 27:20Speaker 3: sold over seven hundred tickets. Wow. But on the fourteenth
- 27:26Speaker 3: they're doing an over thirty five Daity Trail Okay, and
- 27:32Speaker 3: you know it's I still feel like if fifty one
- 27:36Speaker 3: is probably too old, I have maybe seen a couple
- 27:38Speaker 3: of things that have given me a little hope that
- 27:40Speaker 3: it's not. But still I'm still investigating those Okay.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Yeah, because Trey was tempted to go, and I don't
- 27:46Speaker 1: blame you. I would be too. I mean, you don't
- 27:48Speaker 1: live far from the KD Trail and the idea of
- 27:52Speaker 1: meeting some new and interesting people makes sense. Get out
- 27:56Speaker 1: there and maybe you find at the very least, maybe
- 27:59Speaker 1: you make a new friend or maybe you spark a
- 28:02Speaker 1: whole new romance. And it's also an opportunity for you
- 28:06Speaker 1: to maybe find someone to date that's younger without being
- 28:10Speaker 1: too young. So like, the thirty five plus is pretty cool.
- 28:13Speaker 1: But and Raj, this is the part that I kind
- 28:15Speaker 1: of understand where Trey's coming from. They say thirty five plus,
- 28:19Speaker 1: but do they really mean thirty five to forty nine?
- 28:23Speaker 1: Because how many thirty seven year olds are going to
- 28:25Speaker 1: be like, you're fifty one? Yes, just what I'm healing for.
- 28:31Speaker 2: I'm just saying he looks good, he's he does I
- 28:34Speaker 2: wouldn't I wouldn't guess fifty one if I met Trey
- 28:37Speaker 2: for the first time.
- 28:38Speaker 1: No, I think I think Trey could do the Daity
- 28:40Speaker 1: Trail thirty five plus program and say he's forty and
- 28:43Speaker 1: have no questions asked about the authenticity of it.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Rotten Roge, you can come along.
- 28:49Speaker 1: I'm okay, you guys can be like Steve Martin and
- 28:53Speaker 1: Dan Akroy do wild and crazy guy is on the
- 28:56Speaker 1: Daty Trail.
- 28:57Speaker 2: You know what, let's do it. That I think would
- 29:00Speaker 2: be hilarious. I just don't think you have the patience
- 29:03Speaker 2: for it. So that's what I want to see. I
- 29:04Speaker 2: just want to see you lose your crap.
- 29:09Speaker 3: You know. That's a that's something that I know. It'll
- 29:12Speaker 3: be an absolute s show.
- 29:13Speaker 2: So oh yeah, Trey's gonna get too hot, it's gonna
- 29:17Speaker 2: be too tiring, there's gonna be too many people. He
- 29:19Speaker 2: doesn't want to be around there, and he's got to
- 29:21Speaker 2: get back to the dog.
- 29:22Speaker 3: So I'm not saying I'm staying a long time. I mean,
- 29:24Speaker 3: there is a good chance i'll even if even if
- 29:27Speaker 3: you come down to you know you, I'll Irish good buy.
- 29:29Speaker 1: You, which is great. But the other problem you have
- 29:34Speaker 1: to worry about Trey is old man raj circling the
- 29:39Speaker 1: parking areas situation. Because Raj has told us if it
- 29:43Speaker 1: if it takes more than two laps to find a
- 29:45Speaker 1: parking spot, He's gone.
- 29:46Speaker 2: That's it.
- 29:47Speaker 3: I'm out.
- 29:48Speaker 2: I will take off. I don't.
- 29:50Speaker 3: I don't.
- 29:50Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about, patients.
- 29:52Speaker 3: I don't.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I can't do it.
- 29:53Speaker 1: This is why it's so hard, this is why it's
- 29:55Speaker 1: so hard for men over over fifty to find people
- 29:57Speaker 1: to date. Because Raj only does two laps to find
- 29:59Speaker 1: a park spot and Trey is thinking of it as like, look,
- 30:02Speaker 1: you're gonna get like five ten minutes most because it's
- 30:04Speaker 1: August fourteenth and it's hot outside. And not that either
- 30:07Speaker 1: of you are wrong. I'm just saying that you that
- 30:10Speaker 1: you've built up standards, and not everyone else is going
- 30:12Speaker 1: to be as on board with them as you are.
- 30:18Speaker 3: You know, I'm not. I won't even delude myself that
- 30:21Speaker 3: it's standards. I mean, I'm just the grumpy old man.
- 30:23Speaker 3: It's like, get off my.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Lawn, to get off my trail sign. But maybe you meet,
- 30:33Speaker 1: maybe you meet your your soulmate, and maybe you meet
- 30:36Speaker 1: a nice lady who's also holding this sign that says
- 30:40Speaker 1: get off my trail. Yeah, the land you come joined trails.
- 30:45Speaker 2: The last time a white person yelled get off my trail,
- 30:47Speaker 2: it turned out terribly, many many tears.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Where's that.
- 31:00Speaker 4: In the Treehouse?
- 31:04Speaker 7: Listen to us online a Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 31:19Speaker 7: You're in the tree House. Listen us online at Treehouse
- 31:24Speaker 7: on Air dot com.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Oh man, This segment of the Treehouse is brought to
- 31:31Speaker 1: you by our YouTube channel. That's right, We're on YouTube.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Go to YouTube dot com slash at Treehouse on Air.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Checkout our channel there, or just go to YouTube and
- 31:39Speaker 1: search for the Treehouse Show and you can watch us
- 31:43Speaker 1: do all of this not too shabby. Today, by the way,
- 31:47Speaker 1: is Tuesday, August fifth, twenty twenty five. Let's celebrate today
- 31:52Speaker 1: with birthdays. Olivia Holpe is twenty eight today. Olivia holt
- 31:58Speaker 1: Is twenty eight. Is Tandy Bowen on Marvel's Cloak and Dagger.
- 32:03Speaker 1: That was a TV show that nobody watched. She was
- 32:05Speaker 1: also an abducted teenager named Katie Wallace on Cruel Summer.
- 32:09Speaker 1: There you go, so two things. I know, none of
- 32:11Speaker 1: us here inside the Treehouse I've seen, but you know
- 32:13Speaker 1: it's her birthday and good for her. Lolo Jones is
- 32:17Speaker 1: the Olympic runner Slash Bob's letter. She is forty three today.
- 32:21Speaker 1: I think she's the one that was the self professed virgin.
- 32:26Speaker 1: I don't know if she still is, or maybe there
- 32:29Speaker 1: was a horrific bobsledding accident and she's not now. I
- 32:35Speaker 1: don't know, but I think that's it.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I don't know who that is.
- 32:39Speaker 3: I I mean, I think trying. I think what Olympics
- 32:43Speaker 3: she really was in. It's been a minute.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been a while. Well, let's not spend too
- 32:51Speaker 1: much time on Lolo Jones and her Olympics and her hymen.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Let's go to Jesse Williams, who is a doctor Jackson
- 32:59Speaker 1: ave Gray's anatomy. He is forty four. He's the one.
- 33:03Speaker 1: They gave a very powerful speech on speech on social
- 33:06Speaker 1: justice at the twenty sixteen be ET Awards and it
- 33:09Speaker 1: did absolutely no good. But it was a lovely speech,
- 33:13Speaker 1: had many, many nice thoughts, and nothing changed. Terry Clark
- 33:17Speaker 1: Country Singer is fifty seven. One of my favorite directors.
- 33:20Speaker 1: James Gunn is fifty nine. I am a James gunfanboy.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I'll admit it. I also will say it's not like
- 33:26Speaker 1: he's infallible, but he's one of my favorite directors right now.
- 33:31Speaker 1: James Gunn fifty nine. He's the writer director of the
- 33:34Speaker 1: Guardians of the Galaxy films, the New Superman movie, and Trey.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I know you watched and enjoyed this Peacemaker.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Yeah, a new season of comes out I think in
- 33:43Speaker 3: a couple of weeks.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you get season two a Peacemaker in a
- 33:47Speaker 1: couple of weeks. He had a nice little cameo in
- 33:49Speaker 1: the New Superman movie.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Is that John Cena?
- 33:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he's say whatever you think, but watch the show
- 34:01Speaker 1: before you make any judgments on his acting ability.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Yeah, Raj, I was so very skeptical of because I
- 34:08Speaker 3: did not think John Cena could do it. But this role,
- 34:12Speaker 3: the writing, everything, and the opening credits, the opening scene,
- 34:18Speaker 3: you gotta watch it. It is just it's fantastic.
- 34:22Speaker 1: And here's what's weird about the opening dance credits of
- 34:26Speaker 1: Peacemaker is it is, in fact so good. And James
- 34:30Speaker 1: Gunn came out and said he wanted to make sure
- 34:32Speaker 1: everyone watched the opening credits because he believed in the
- 34:36Speaker 1: work that everyone who's mentioned in those opening credits. He
- 34:39Speaker 1: wanted them to get that proper amount of notoriety and respect,
- 34:46Speaker 1: and he wanted people to see their names having associated
- 34:48Speaker 1: with the program. So he had them come up with
- 34:50Speaker 1: this crazy dance number, and it really is so good.
- 34:54Speaker 1: You watch it every single episode. But now that we're
- 34:57Speaker 1: getting a season two of Peacemaker, that means we're going
- 35:00Speaker 1: to get a whole new opening dance sequence, and I'm
- 35:04Speaker 1: almost as excited for that as I am the actual show.
- 35:09Speaker 3: That's try it. I was kind of assuming they would
- 35:11Speaker 3: leave it the same, but you're right, they may do
- 35:13Speaker 3: it a new new opening number.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Yeah, because some of those characters aren't going to be
- 35:17Speaker 1: in this show because some of those characters died, although
- 35:20Speaker 1: some are still going to somehow come back in a way.
- 35:21Speaker 1: But I believe he said a few weeks ago. No,
- 35:25Speaker 1: there is a whole new opening sequence.
- 35:27Speaker 3: I'm here for it.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Yeah, same here, Roger. You can look at his old
- 35:31Speaker 1: judge all you want. You're not going to steal me
- 35:33Speaker 1: in Trey's joy. Other birthdays today, Jonathan Silverman turns fifty nine.
- 35:38Speaker 1: He is the star of Weekend at Bernie's and Weekend
- 35:43Speaker 1: at Bernie's Two. He also had, actually he also had
- 35:48Speaker 1: the sitcom How I Was Forget what it was called?
- 35:50Speaker 1: Was it just called single? He just was? It was
- 35:54Speaker 1: a show. It was on around the time that Friends
- 35:57Speaker 1: was on. It was just like the tier, like the
- 35:59Speaker 1: state down from Friends as far as the show quality,
- 36:02Speaker 1: but it was it wasn't a bad show. Jonathan Silverman
- 36:06Speaker 1: been a fan of his since week Weekend at Bernie's Anyway.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Did you see Weekend at Bernie's two?
- 36:13Speaker 1: That's a yes, That's why I did.
- 36:16Speaker 3: That's a that's a stupid question. Raj Raj.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Not only not only did I see the film, but
- 36:23Speaker 1: I now live in the place where it takes place.
- 36:25Speaker 1: In the Islands. There is in fact a bar in
- 36:29Speaker 1: Red Hook on Saint Thomas called Bernie's with a mural
- 36:35Speaker 1: next to the bathrooms of Bernie from Weekend at Bernie's two. Okay, wow,
- 36:42Speaker 1: I know way too much about Weekend at Bernie's too.
- 36:46Speaker 3: You're the only one.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, apparently I'm not, because there's a guy who
- 36:51Speaker 1: owns a bar that named it after it, and it's
- 36:55Speaker 1: not me. Shut up. If I owned that bar, it
- 37:00Speaker 1: would be American Ninja Bar. And if I ever own
- 37:05Speaker 1: a gym, it'll be called Jim. The signs on the
- 37:14Speaker 1: businesses may not say owned by Dan O'Malley, but there
- 37:17Speaker 1: will be other clue. How was what was the plot
- 37:29Speaker 1: from the first It was basically the same as the
- 37:32Speaker 1: first one. I mean really, it was just more of
- 37:35Speaker 1: a miracle on how Bernie didn't decompose in the time
- 37:38Speaker 1: from the first one to the second one.
- 37:45Speaker 4: You're in the Treehouse.
- 37:50Speaker 7: Visit us online on Treehouse on air dot com. You're
- 38:02Speaker 7: in the Treehouse, listen us online at Treehouse OnAir dot com.

- 38:13Speaker 1: Sponsorship opportunities are available if you're interested to shoot us

- 38:22Speaker 1: here inside the tree House, it is still Tuesday here
- 38:26Speaker 1: inside the Treehouse. Let's finish up our treehouse talkback.
- 38:31Speaker 10: Hey guys, Maxwell here, and this is more of a
- 38:34Speaker 10: what you rather question for both Trey and Roge. So
- 38:38Speaker 10: if any of these two were to happen to YouTube,
- 38:40Speaker 10: would you rather have a movie marathon with Dan but
- 38:43Speaker 10: only he picks the bad movies that he likes and chooses,
- 38:47Speaker 10: Or would you rather have your house haunted by the
- 38:49Speaker 10: ghost of us Martin? Just adding a little bit of
- 38:52Speaker 10: a stupid that's on there. Anyways, Hope you guys are
- 38:55Speaker 10: having a good day, and of course.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Thank you Max for keeping the ooh alive inside Treehouse
- 39:05Speaker 1: talk back. There you have it there. It is one
- 39:07Speaker 1: of the most horrific Zambando questions we've ever heard on
- 39:10Speaker 1: this show. Would you rather sit through a movie marathon
- 39:14Speaker 1: where I picked the movies or be haunted by the
- 39:17Speaker 1: ghost of Russ Bart.
- 39:19Speaker 2: I can't wait to see Jim Kata.
- 39:24Speaker 3: I'll bring the snuggie and the popcorn.
- 39:26Speaker 1: I know what I thought settle in Baby, It's gonna
- 39:31Speaker 1: be a wild ride.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Let's watch week It at Bernie's two again.
- 39:37Speaker 1: This time with the director's commentary and mind.
- 39:43Speaker 2: No, then I'll take the ghost a.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Famous last words. Man, this is actually going exactly how
- 39:51Speaker 1: I thought it would. I knew Trey would take the
- 39:52Speaker 1: movie marathon and wouldn't hesitate a new RAJ might be
- 39:55Speaker 1: tempted to go with the ghost of Russ, mainly because
- 39:59Speaker 1: you didn't spend his mon which time with him.
- 40:00Speaker 2: As I was gonna say, he was always lovely to me.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he was lovely to us many many times. Yeah,
- 40:09Speaker 1: but he but he but he loved he loved Off
- 40:12Speaker 1: brand tequila more in the end.
- 40:15Speaker 2: But that's what I'm saying, Like, does the ghost bring
- 40:17Speaker 2: tequila too, because.
- 40:18Speaker 1: No, he never brought his own. He always made someone
- 40:21Speaker 1: bring it to him.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Okay, gotcha.
- 40:23Speaker 2: So I would have to bring the tequila for the
- 40:26Speaker 2: ghost to a peer, yes, Okay, Well.
- 40:29Speaker 1: That may actually be how it works, Like like you
- 40:32Speaker 1: have to say candy Man five times for candy Man
- 40:35Speaker 1: to appear with Russ. It might be five really cheap
- 40:39Speaker 1: handles of tequila and he may show.
- 40:41Speaker 3: Up if you pour it, he will come, but he.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Will not pay you for it.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Instead of beetle juice, we just have to say gin
- 40:52Speaker 2: and juice three times.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Only if he's really desperate, which he might be by No,
- 41:00Speaker 1: all right, one more, Here we go inside Treo's talk back.
- 41:03Speaker 11: Hey, guys, let's jase here.
- 41:05Speaker 3: Two things.
- 41:06Speaker 11: First, One, did you know Raj was part of the

- 41:15Speaker 11: eat there, but apparently Rog has and still does.
- 41:18Speaker 1: And where did he see this, Raj? Are you posting
- 41:21Speaker 1: on social media your love for Long John Silvers?
- 41:23Speaker 2: He was trying to talk smack about the LJS, bro,
- 41:28Speaker 2: so I.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Had look, look, look. I thought it was a big
- 41:30Speaker 1: deal the other day that I came out to you
- 41:32Speaker 1: guys as a dedicated powerwasher, and here you are in
- 41:35Speaker 1: the closet being a Long John Silver's lover.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Oh, I've never been in the closet, brother, I've been
- 41:40Speaker 2: out the whole time since since the eighties. In Mesquite,
- 41:45Speaker 2: that was our Friday night. We would either do pizza
- 41:48Speaker 2: in which is a pizza joint in Mesquite, which is
- 41:51Speaker 2: the best pizza in Town, in my opinion, or Long
- 41:56Speaker 2: John Silvers and we would watch Dallas. That was our
- 41:58Speaker 2: Friday night thing.
- 41:59Speaker 3: Wow.
- 42:00Speaker 2: And I mean you get some You get some chicken
- 42:03Speaker 2: planks and some crumbles and some hush puppies.
- 42:05Speaker 3: That's a good day. It's fascinating. Both of your secrets
- 42:09Speaker 3: involve pegs.
- 42:17Speaker 1: I don't know how fascinating it actually is as it
- 42:20Speaker 1: is revealing. I don't know about you, Raj, but I
