- 1:49Speaker 2: have no complaints. I know there's parents that are struggling
- 1:52Speaker 2: that are are working through nighttime, bedtime routines, that are
- 1:56Speaker 2: working through wake up wake ups throughout the night. Out
- 2:00Speaker 2: hand up. Scottie does wake up every now and then.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I don't hear it. My wife hears it. She's got
- 2:07Speaker 2: good hearing. She's got good women have better hearing. We

- 3:07Speaker 2: If you are international and you can't necessarily hit the
- 3:10Speaker 2: hot line or the phone number, and you want to
- 3:12Speaker 2: write in an email, that is six to oh one
- 3:14Speaker 2: The Dad's at gmail dot com.
- 3:16Speaker 1: We were happier with us.
- 3:18Speaker 3: It sure is.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Do it okay really quick? Note quick because this was
- 3:22Speaker 4: DM to me. Do we send merch to people that
- 3:26Speaker 4: we read their emails or do we keep that strictly
- 3:30Speaker 4: the hot line?
- 3:32Speaker 3: What has it been, It's been strictly the hot line,
- 3:35Speaker 3: strictly hotline. I had a DM from somebody who had
- 3:40Speaker 3: their email read and they said, Hey, I'm not looking
- 3:42Speaker 3: for a handout. I'm not that guy. They breakfast very nicely.
- 3:46Speaker 3: They said, just want to just want.
- 3:48Speaker 2: To curio out of pure curiosity, pure curiosity. I don't
- 3:51Speaker 2: want to miss out on an opportunity. If this is
- 3:53Speaker 2: you happens to be the game you.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Read my email?
- 3:56Speaker 4: Does that mean I have some merch come in my way?
- 3:58Speaker 4: And I truly like throw this out to us. I
- 4:01Speaker 4: throw it out to pet Sikos. I don't know the answer.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Is this my call?
- 4:09Speaker 3: You do own this company.
- 4:12Speaker 5: Boss, But if you would like to hear what we
- 4:13Speaker 5: have to say, I would say, we could give you
- 4:15Speaker 5: opinions and then you make the call.
- 4:17Speaker 3: It's really up to what you want to do it
- 4:19Speaker 3: at the end of the day.
- 4:19Speaker 6: But I mean, we have thought throw the.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Thoughts at me.
- 4:24Speaker 5: That would be that if we gear it towards something
- 4:26Speaker 5: we've always teased, like data the month or data something,
- 4:29Speaker 5: if we aim an email towards that. I think we
- 4:32Speaker 5: can do it. I think the way we read emails
- 4:33Speaker 5: now are just kind of like part of the show
- 4:35Speaker 5: and fun, and it isn't as intense as calling in.
- 4:38Speaker 5: I think if we gear it towards something, they should
- 4:40Speaker 5: get a little something to something. The way it reads
- 4:42Speaker 5: right now, I'd say it sticks to phone calls. But
- 4:44Speaker 5: that's just my opinion.
- 4:48Speaker 3: What's what's your thoughts?
- 4:49Speaker 1: Chef?
- 4:49Speaker 3: I just I vote a hat. He votes a hat,
- 4:55Speaker 3: he says, I vote that, he votes hat.
- 4:59Speaker 4: My vote is is to keep it Collins. And then
- 5:02Speaker 4: if we did some kind of you know, best email
- 5:04Speaker 4: of the month or whatever, like the email would get
- 5:09Speaker 4: merched then like one a month, Okay, that would be
- 5:12Speaker 4: I would lean towards Derek and.
- 5:14Speaker 3: But love Chef's call of it should be a hat.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I think they should get a hat.
- 5:20Speaker 2: By god, a dictatorship. I like to listen to my guys.
- 5:27Speaker 2: So is Chef, you're saying emails get a hat?
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 5:29Speaker 6: I think that, Collins. Still, I think emails are great.
- 5:34Speaker 6: We read a couple of emails a day. I think
- 5:37Speaker 6: a hat is a very good reward for sharing, sorry,
- 5:41Speaker 6: taking the time to write to us, and you know
- 5:44Speaker 6: whatever it is, I chef.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I think it is a very good point.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Oh oh oh, Derek, may I counter just no seeming
- 5:55Speaker 3: Team six leader chef a position for the people, right.
- 6:00Speaker 5: There's one parameter I just want to bring up to
- 6:01Speaker 5: the group. That is how we tell international people to
- 6:04Speaker 5: contact us. We cannot ship internationally currently. I think there's
- 6:09Speaker 5: a work round. Okay, yeah, I have an operating under
- 6:12Speaker 5: the pretense that we aren't able to get them. That's
- 6:15Speaker 5: why we tell them to email. Oh that is incorrect.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Then I would say, let's go for it now. Also,
- 6:21Speaker 5: everyone does have the opportunity to go to bwtv dot
- 6:23Speaker 5: com right now and buy their own shirt and hat.
- 6:25Speaker 5: So you all have won the opportunity to go to
- 6:27Speaker 5: the store and get a shirt and hat that you purchase.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Can as well? Can I call a parlay? Can I
- 6:33Speaker 3: make a parlay?
- 6:34Speaker 1: Make a parlay?
- 6:36Speaker 4: The international emails that we do get get me super
- 6:40Speaker 4: fucking juiced. We should send a hat to every single
- 6:43Speaker 4: international email that we get, because not all these are international,
- 6:48Speaker 4: but those international siccos that do take the time to
- 6:50Speaker 4: write an email, we should send them out at that's cool.
- 6:53Speaker 6: I do want to I just thought about this and
- 6:56Speaker 6: I am. I'm in for the hat. The only problem is,
- 6:58Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure if I'm correct, culturally, yeah, yeah, hats.
- 7:02Speaker 6: Baseball cap hats not a big thing over in Europe,
- 7:06Speaker 6: I guess, depending on where you're going.
- 7:07Speaker 3: A lot of out there, a lot of.
- 7:11Speaker 6: A lot of people from England. I know, we get
- 7:13Speaker 6: a lot, you know, from our friends of the United Kingdom.
- 7:16Speaker 6: From what I understand. If I'm wrong on this, they
- 7:18Speaker 6: kind of ship on baseball caps.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Okay, so we go kangle for for u K advisors Cagles.
- 7:25Speaker 2: We should, we should work something out. I'm just I'm
- 7:27Speaker 2: picturing a fame. I'm picturing whether it's a Milk Team
- 7:30Speaker 2: sixer or Papa Team sixerer. Just over the pond, across
- 7:34Speaker 2: the pond, they're trying to get their kid down. They're
- 7:37Speaker 2: up in the middle of the night, like, let me
- 7:38Speaker 2: just listen to the boys, Let me listen to the
- 7:40Speaker 2: dads right now. Maybe laugh a couple of times, but
- 7:42Speaker 2: just hear.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Some voices and get me through this night.
- 7:46Speaker 1: They're in hell.
- 7:47Speaker 2: They're in hell in their grinding, especially if you're a
- 7:49Speaker 2: new parent, even if you got little toddlers like they're
- 7:52Speaker 2: there are. They're batshit crazy at times, and they're dealing
- 7:55Speaker 2: with this and that, and they want to come on
- 7:57Speaker 2: for the dads and enjoy a little escape. And we're
- 7:59Speaker 2: sitting here talking. Should they get if they take the
- 8:01Speaker 2: time to write into our brand, should they get a
- 8:04Speaker 2: little something? There is no handouts, there's no we should
- 8:07Speaker 2: We're entitled to this, but us knowing the time that
- 8:10Speaker 2: they are taking, knowing what's around their environment. Do you think,
- 8:14Speaker 2: what are you thinking rewarding with the with a hat
- 8:16Speaker 2: or an item or a product.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Don't get chef will go to you.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Make sure to read the comments people that are international
- 8:23Speaker 2: saying like, hey, I actually love a nice little ball cap.
- 8:27Speaker 6: Please let me know I might be just whiffing on
- 8:29Speaker 6: that ice boil. I'll take this responsibility very seriously.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Just Internet, Yeah, you.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Got You gotta put yourself in the mind of these
- 8:36Speaker 2: boys are there. Maybe they're throwing the maybe they're throwing
- 8:39Speaker 2: in the wired headphones or the wireless headphones at night.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Wife just told them, no, I want to get some
- 8:44Speaker 3: sleep tonight.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Take care of yourself. And he just rolls over and
- 8:48Speaker 2: throws it in, like, let me just listen to Poppy
- 8:50Speaker 2: Team six right now. You have some words of encouraging.
- 8:52Speaker 3: No tea or crumpets. They're locked in.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, do that.
- 9:02Speaker 3: One more thing, Derek.
- 9:03Speaker 5: It almost sounds like we should develop a piece of
- 9:06Speaker 5: merchandise specifically for the call ins and emailing something along
- 9:10Speaker 5: the lines of this is not the idea of, but
- 9:11Speaker 5: no better.
- 9:11Speaker 2: This's where I start to put on the brake, you see,
- 9:14Speaker 2: fastlow it down before we get out. Yeah, but before
- 9:18Speaker 2: we get out over our cities, struc We're going to
- 9:19Speaker 2: create a new product. So we already struggled with creating
- 9:22Speaker 2: new products or peacocks.
- 9:25Speaker 3: You gotta lets fly. This is what we do. Go
- 9:29Speaker 3: horse and then come back to your horse. The horse
- 9:31Speaker 3: is out, horse out of the stable, Willy, come back
- 9:34Speaker 3: your horse, and we're going over two hours. I got
- 9:37Speaker 3: a feeling. Yeah, we gotta we gotta keep it under
- 9:40Speaker 3: an hour.
- 9:41Speaker 2: You know, I saw people last time when we did
- 9:43Speaker 2: the episode right before Christmas, because I was dead set.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Guys, we got to keep this one tight. We gotta
- 9:48Speaker 1: keep it right.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I gotta get back to the chaos flu taking over
- 9:51Speaker 2: my house. Yeah, and I just saw the comments having
- 9:54Speaker 2: fun with Willie boy. He wasn't able to keep it
- 9:56Speaker 2: under an hour.
- 9:57Speaker 4: The show never Can show never Can first time in
- 10:01Speaker 4: two weeks. By the way that we're here on the set.
- 10:05Speaker 2: It's been a while. We had a good break, I know.
- 10:07Speaker 2: We all came back into the shop. It was fund
- 10:08Speaker 2: seeing all the boys kind of embrace each other. Derek's
- 10:10Speaker 2: been gone for a hot minute ever seeing everybody catch
- 10:12Speaker 2: up with her new Christmas gear. You know, I'm a
- 10:14Speaker 2: big Christmas gear I love if I get some clothes
- 10:16Speaker 2: for Christmas, I want to rocket.
- 10:17Speaker 1: My wife usually gets me something nice.
- 10:19Speaker 2: I love this, Like, let me go wear it everywhere
- 10:22Speaker 2: I possibly can and ask people, Hey, I got this
- 10:24Speaker 2: for Christmas?
- 10:25Speaker 1: Did you you want to throw me a compliment? You
- 10:27Speaker 1: want to dish a compliment? My way?
- 10:28Speaker 2: Dad, But dude, let's dive in. I know we got
- 10:32Speaker 2: a lot of stuff that we took notes on for
- 10:34Speaker 2: the document.
- 10:34Speaker 1: He goes.
- 10:35Speaker 2: After having these two weeks off, it's like, Hey, what's
- 10:37Speaker 2: happened in our lives? Yep, we can recap Christmas. I
- 10:39Speaker 2: know we got Scarlet. She's been starting solids.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Scott.
- 10:42Speaker 2: He's swinging at Rue. She's throwing punches at Rue at
- 10:44Speaker 2: the moment as a one year old. Oh, we got shum.
- 10:47Speaker 2: He's getting a first babysitter come on Facebook. Comment to
- 10:50Speaker 2: Jill crazy shit, we get to touch the Facebook comment
- 10:53Speaker 2: to Jill.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Oh yeah, crazy shit being throwned Jill's way on Facebook.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Yeah my wife, my wife. I've had a birthday on
- 11:00Speaker 2: December twenty eighth. Happy birthday, sweetheart. Happy belated birthday, sweetheart.
- 11:04Speaker 2: We love you.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Be belated.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Milk Team six Captain. Yeah, we're in the.
- 11:10Speaker 2: New year's and we're in the new year's, So where
- 11:12Speaker 2: do we want to start? Do we start with? Do
- 11:14Speaker 2: we start with some shout outs that people have given us?
- 11:16Speaker 4: I think there's a I think there's only one way
- 11:17Speaker 4: to start, and it's with some shout outs.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I see, uh, here's some new dad, some new dead comments.
- 11:22Speaker 2: So guys were just welcoming again. Papa Team six members.
- 11:25Speaker 2: When you when you when you graduate from Bud's training,
- 11:27Speaker 2: you become a Papa Team six, You become a PT
- 11:29Speaker 2: sixer for life, a pt Sikoh. This is from Seth
- 11:32Speaker 2: Burrows on Spotify. Hey boys, wife, water broke walls that
- 11:36Speaker 2: work an hour away from home. Good god, babies possibly
- 11:39Speaker 2: coming eight weeks early.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Oh that's actually that's ideal.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Ready to earn my couch badge. Good send T's and
- 11:48Speaker 2: p's PT six out.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Already went up. Sure, I'm sure I've never slept on
- 11:53Speaker 1: a couch.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Hey, alrighty that was.
- 11:56Speaker 1: In the comment, but.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Me put that to fuck Shermisa Jimdercas on a couch.
- 12:03Speaker 3: He's not a real dog, that slimy fuck.
- 12:05Speaker 4: I will say cheer Force one for those out there,
- 12:08Speaker 4: if you know, you know, cheer Force one's kind of
- 12:11Speaker 4: where it's at.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Uh.
- 12:12Speaker 3: This one comes from Jovers with three rs on Instagram.
- 12:15Speaker 3: This is a Milk Team sixer, she said. I used
- 12:19Speaker 3: to despise Busting with the boys.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Every car drive with Matthew and Hugo was accompanied by
- 12:24Speaker 4: an episode after episode after episode of Busting. But Will
- 12:29Speaker 4: Compton has quickly become one of my absolute favorite people
- 12:33Speaker 4: because of for the dads and getting to see a
- 12:35Speaker 4: different side of him and the Shermeister. Now every single
- 12:40Speaker 4: morning I wake up and Busting with the boys locker
- 12:42Speaker 4: room and for the dads is like our version of
- 12:45Speaker 4: the morning news in the house. I have a different
- 12:48Speaker 4: kind of respect for them, especially when they go out
- 12:52Speaker 4: of their way to do something for the boys in
- 12:54Speaker 4: the back of the bus.
- 12:55Speaker 3: So this bonus shit is absolutely dope. All caps dope.
- 13:00Speaker 5: That was someone's Instagram story that they shared the bus
- 13:03Speaker 5: and recap video. So she posted that to her story,
- 13:06Speaker 5: so that was part one. So we reached out and
- 13:08Speaker 5: basically just thanked her for that. So sure that was
- 13:10Speaker 5: like she just posted that to the world that wasn't
- 13:12Speaker 5: even to us.
- 13:12Speaker 4: So then Derek followed up and said, that was an
- 13:16Speaker 4: amazing note. Thank you so much for giving the dads
- 13:18Speaker 4: a chance. We hope to never disappoint. She replied back,
- 13:22Speaker 4: My husband and I are expecting our first baby boy
- 13:24Speaker 4: in March, so this pod came came around right in
- 13:27Speaker 4: time for us to prepare for parent life. You guys
- 13:31Speaker 4: got a pod that speaks to everyone. We love y'all
- 13:34Speaker 4: and all the work that you do. Thanks for sharing
- 13:37Speaker 4: all the best, worst and everything in between. Happy twenty
- 13:40Speaker 4: twenty six to all four of y'all who keep this
- 13:43Speaker 4: pod absolutely crushing.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 13:46Speaker 3: That comes from Jovers on.
- 13:48Speaker 2: In shout Out Jovers on Instagram. That fires me up.
- 13:51Speaker 2: That fires me up.
- 13:52Speaker 1: You can never what's the word I'm looking for?
- 13:57Speaker 3: Underestimate? No, come on, uh seas, I don't know.
- 14:04Speaker 2: You can never sleep on being able to win over
- 14:06Speaker 2: a female audience.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Member.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Yeah, somebody that kind of despised Bust with the Boys
- 14:10Speaker 2: here in the obnoxiousness that comes out of our mouths
- 14:13Speaker 2: at times, tuning into for the Dads.
- 14:15Speaker 3: This is the stuff my husband listens to.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Yeah, God, he wants to listen to Busting with the
- 14:20Speaker 2: Boys again.
- 14:23Speaker 1: And what a power dynamic right there.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Knowing that he's picking the pod, I think that needs
- 14:27Speaker 2: to shift a little bit. I'm kind of in favor
- 14:29Speaker 2: for the Milk Team sixer here yep too.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Sounds like he's got control of the sticks at Free Drive. Yeah,
- 14:35Speaker 4: I do have a quick petition, very very quick. No
- 14:38Speaker 4: more twenty twenty six business. It's just twenty six. Okay,
- 14:42Speaker 4: that's my new thing.
- 14:44Speaker 3: For this year.
- 14:45Speaker 4: I'm going to try and start it for the rest
- 14:46Speaker 4: of the world. Hey, we're in the roaring twenties, baby,
- 14:49Speaker 4: Welcome to twenty six.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Welcome to twenty six.
- 14:51Speaker 3: It's easier, it's nicer.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Boom.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I got one here from Ron Holmes on Spotify.
- 14:56Speaker 6: Again.
- 14:57Speaker 2: You can leave comments on Spotify. The video is up
- 15:00Speaker 2: on Spotify. Do go to our four the Dad's channel
- 15:02Speaker 2: on Spotify, because you will get.
- 15:06Speaker 1: You will get.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Audio or auto ad free listen.
- 15:10Speaker 1: You'll get an audio.
- 15:12Speaker 3: There's no ads on spot on our Spotify channel, there's
- 15:16Speaker 3: no automated ads. That's exactly right, That's exactly right.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I got to get checked out. It's
- 15:21Speaker 1: it's the Kitty Minschi stuff in Nebraska, this transfer portal.
- 15:24Speaker 2: There's no honor and integrity in the system anymore. These
- 15:27Speaker 2: damn kids, Yeah, these damn kids. Bro Ron Holmes, Hey boys,
- 15:32Speaker 2: excited for the PT six merchant. My wife got me
- 15:34Speaker 2: for Christmas and can't wait to rocket leaving the hospital
- 15:37Speaker 2: when our baby is born in June. Congratulations to you both,
- 15:40Speaker 2: Ron and missus. Holmes got a question. When y'all's wives
- 15:44Speaker 2: were pregnant, was there sarcasm escalated? Was their sarcasm escalated
- 15:49Speaker 2: big time?
- 15:50Speaker 3: The other day?
- 15:51Speaker 2: I came in from walking the dog and said, Hey,
- 15:53Speaker 2: you know what I was just thinking about? She responded
- 15:55Speaker 2: with what what was your one brain cell thinking about?
- 15:59Speaker 6: Ron?
- 16:00Speaker 2: Oh my, and then proceeded to die laughing in almost
- 16:02Speaker 2: Peter Pants almost hit her with an r.
- 16:04Speaker 1: K O out of nowhere laughing emoji.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Hey, is this a good sense of you were from
- 16:10Speaker 3: the Team sixth. Team sixers got some games?
- 16:13Speaker 2: Know me?
- 16:14Speaker 6: Ron?
- 16:14Speaker 3: What was your one brain cell thinking about as.
- 16:17Speaker 4: You were outside, and the fact that she almost Peter Pants, Dude,
- 16:20Speaker 4: that's Jerry on top.
- 16:22Speaker 3: That's what you know. She's killing she she starts to laugh.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Peter Pants.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Got to hear Ron, tell me what you were thinking about?
- 16:33Speaker 1: Ron?
- 16:33Speaker 2: Do you see me being pregnant right now? But I
- 16:35Speaker 2: don't wait to hear what you're going through.
- 16:37Speaker 4: My buddy, I was on the FEN this week and
- 16:39Speaker 4: his pregnant wife was in the background. We were talking
- 16:41Speaker 4: about their pregnancy and she was chirping them. I could
- 16:45Speaker 4: hear them in the background. She was she was giggling
- 16:47Speaker 4: at her own chirps and what she's saying, she's she's
- 16:52Speaker 4: saying some ship. I go, hey, buddy, just listen. As
- 16:55Speaker 4: soon as that baby comes out, it's like times too.
- 16:58Speaker 4: It's gonna keep coming.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Oh, it's all you just gotta lock in, always gonna
- 17:01Speaker 2: keep coming. I got some new dad comments.
- 17:04Speaker 4: This one comes from t Strict eight nine two seven
- 17:07Speaker 4: on X Hey Boys, new listener with a three year
- 17:11Speaker 4: old and another on the way literally in the trenches
- 17:14Speaker 4: and grinding out the episodes. Got a friend who's currently
- 17:18Speaker 4: waiting on d Day, which will be next week, and
- 17:21Speaker 4: is terrified.
- 17:23Speaker 3: I quickly shared PT. Six with him and trying to
- 17:25Speaker 3: build him by listening to you guys and sharing what
- 17:28Speaker 3: I can. Just wanted to say that I appreciate you
- 17:31Speaker 3: boys and forever along for the ride.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Te strict shout out you, but shout out shout out
- 17:37Speaker 4: your friend that it sounds like that would be. This
- 17:40Speaker 4: week is d days here, delivery days here. You got
- 17:45Speaker 4: this brother, you're listening right now?
- 17:47Speaker 3: Lock in.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be tough. Got your three all he
- 17:51Speaker 2: is with the other one's three right, other ones three.
- 17:54Speaker 2: We would encourage go back and listen to some old
- 17:57Speaker 2: a couple old episodes spot and episodes where we talk
- 17:59Speaker 2: about things to do when you're when you're bringing a
- 18:02Speaker 2: new one into the family. Some tricks, some hacks out
- 18:06Speaker 2: there allow the little one, allow your three year old
- 18:09Speaker 2: to come in. Maybe mom or mom is not holding
- 18:12Speaker 2: the baby, so the little one still knows, Hey, mama's mine. Yes,
- 18:15Speaker 2: and we're getting introduced to the baby. Oh, this is
- 18:17Speaker 2: my baby brother, this is my baby sister. Another great
- 18:20Speaker 2: tip out there that we've used is having the baby
- 18:27Speaker 2: gift gift a toy or a present to the older sibling. Yeah,
- 18:31Speaker 2: let them know like hey, they were thinking about you
- 18:33Speaker 2: on the way home. Got you a little toy. We
- 18:35Speaker 2: got you a little present from the newborn.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I love that, dad hack.
- 18:41Speaker 4: I believe it's episode six when Scarlett was born, and
- 18:47Speaker 4: that's where you talked a lot about your delivery day
- 18:50Speaker 4: stuff as well. Yeah, it's like episode five or six.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Go go take a lesson of that, because you did
- 18:56Speaker 4: a lot of preaching and teaching to of like getting
- 19:01Speaker 4: the right mindset going into the delivery room, and it
- 19:04Speaker 4: helped me in time, like you really did.
- 19:06Speaker 3: There was a good little.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Pre There's all those hacks that come into that people
- 19:09Speaker 2: write in on things that they're preparing to do.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Remember the Remember the one.
- 19:14Speaker 2: That the guy that rode in and talked about they
- 19:16Speaker 2: got the whole like lay of the hospital before they.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Went, yeah we go. If they scouted out the parking guard, Yeah,
- 19:21Speaker 3: scouted the territory.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Yes.
- 19:23Speaker 4: And cannot reiterate that point enough because here at Vandy Children's.
- 19:29Speaker 3: We had a great.
- 19:32Speaker 4: Experience at Vandy Children's, but the usual parking garage that
- 19:36Speaker 4: you park in was closed unbeknownst to us. Right that, like,
- 19:40Speaker 4: there will be little things like that and the elevator
- 19:42Speaker 4: will be out of service. You're gonna have to find
- 19:45Speaker 4: the security guard and you're gonna ask them where the
- 19:47Speaker 4: triage is at.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Get that stuff dialed. Yeah, birth plane's ready to go,
- 19:52Speaker 3: but don't be so attached to it because nothing will
- 19:54Speaker 3: go according to plant. That's okay, that's okay.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Also, last shout out, shut out the big dog here,
- 20:02Speaker 2: director of Ops, Director of Digital Jeremy Clump. Oh they
- 20:05Speaker 2: are having They are having another kid. They're having number three.
- 20:09Speaker 2: So big shout out to Jeremy Plump. Yes, growing Poppet
- 20:13Speaker 2: Team six family.
- 20:14Speaker 4: We actually have a fabulous feature of Jeremy Clump on
- 20:18Speaker 4: this episode.
- 20:19Speaker 3: He'll be our call in this Oh yeah, no shit, yeah,
- 20:23Speaker 3: five parter Okay, he found himself in serious five different voicemails. Sir, Yes, sir,
- 20:31Speaker 3: that is correct. We'll keep it under an hour. Don't
- 20:34Speaker 3: keep it. Don't worry about that.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Everybody, just buckle up. We will keep this one under
- 20:37Speaker 2: an hour for you guys, wherever you're headed, wherever you're
- 20:39Speaker 2: tuning in at. We will keep this one tight.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Will This is my last comment and I'll go ahead
- 20:46Speaker 3: and read it.
- 20:46Speaker 4: K Cast eighty two on X What Up Boys Day
- 20:50Speaker 4: one listener first time writing in and boys, do I
- 20:53Speaker 4: have a story for you.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Guys.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Also shout out Chef Derek, Fatty Staffy, and Willie one
- 20:58Speaker 4: book fellow. PT six Aer here a twin dad of
- 21:01Speaker 4: two boys.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Good.
- 21:03Speaker 4: Every day is controlled chaos. Dad does bathtime and I
- 21:07Speaker 4: have the boys in the tub. As I have one
- 21:10Speaker 4: baby out drying and getting him dressed, I hear a grunt.
- 21:13Speaker 4: I turn and see the second guy playing with the toy.
- 21:15Speaker 4: I assume he was frustrated with the toy. I'm about
- 21:18Speaker 4: to finish the first guy up and I hear another grunt.
- 21:21Speaker 4: As I turn around, my boy is standing in a
- 21:24Speaker 4: slightly hunched over position to drop an absolute missile. Before
- 21:29Speaker 4: I could get up to get him out, drops the log.
- 21:33Speaker 4: It's half the size of his leg, right in the water.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Good.
- 21:37Speaker 4: I scream for mom in a fool panic, and she
- 21:39Speaker 4: walks into the bathroom with a baby dress, a baby
- 21:43Speaker 4: suspended at midair, and a brown snake in the tub.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Of course, she says Dad has to fish it out,
- 21:49Speaker 4: and I grabbed a plastic bag to wrangle that sucker out.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Good.
- 21:54Speaker 4: To some this is a crazy scenario, but to me,
- 21:56Speaker 4: this is a regular Friday night.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I love the pod.
- 21:59Speaker 4: I never miss an episode. The knowledge you boys drop
- 22:01Speaker 4: weekly has helped me grow as a father. So thank
- 22:04Speaker 4: you both, and I hope y'all know how great of
- 22:07Speaker 4: dad's you both all right, but thank you dude. Uh
- 22:10Speaker 4: ps tried Apple Chris Follipop today for the first time,
- 22:13Speaker 4: and I have to say I'm now a fan Mary
- 22:16Speaker 4: krimbis Ca.
- 22:18Speaker 1: That's a great right in.
- 22:19Speaker 4: Yeah, great right in that came from k cass on X.
- 22:21Speaker 4: That was actually a dm on X. That's a great
- 22:25Speaker 4: right in. Yeah, we appreciate that. And dropping a missile
- 22:28Speaker 4: in the tub. That's all time.
- 22:29Speaker 2: And shout out to him the twins, the twins and
- 22:31Speaker 2: what we've talked about it.
- 22:32Speaker 3: That's a woof But he knows nothing different to him.
- 22:36Speaker 3: That's his chaos.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Yeah, think anytime I'm bathe them both Scotty and Rue,
- 22:40Speaker 2: and then y'all get Scotty, I'll wash her, get her
- 22:42Speaker 2: quickly going because Rue wants to stay in the tub
- 22:44Speaker 2: and play and everything else. But now it is no
- 22:46Speaker 2: easy task when you're trying to go and get them,
- 22:49Speaker 2: get the little one dressed, while the other ones in
- 22:50Speaker 2: the tub. They might be screaming for you to help
- 22:52Speaker 2: them with something. Couldn't imagine walking in and rug just
- 22:55Speaker 2: hunched over, like just lock with me, dead in the eye,
- 22:58Speaker 2: just knowing she's dropping a fat one.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Bain made a great point in The Dark Knight Rises
- 23:04Speaker 4: when he talked about being born in the darkness, you
- 23:07Speaker 4: know nothing different.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Yeah, knows nothing different when you're.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Born in the trenches. So we shout you out, k Cass,
- 23:13Speaker 3: thank you for the right And that was legendary. Yeah
- 23:16Speaker 3: that was that you said? That was a DM on
- 23:18Speaker 3: X on X Yeah. I love it, man, community these growing.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Will I have some dad losses. I have some in
- 23:26Speaker 4: the trenches. You know, I have a crack a cold one.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Where would you like to start? I would love want
- 23:33Speaker 4: to hear about the losses.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Do you want to hear about my loss?
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, would love to hear.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Would love to hear the trench warfare you're you've been
- 23:39Speaker 2: involved in over the last couple of weeks.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Okay, cool, my okay, my dad loss.
- 23:44Speaker 4: This was a I had a conversation with a friend
- 23:46Speaker 4: and this was more of a dad loss of like Sherman,
- 23:50Speaker 4: have you not thought of this? So this is my
- 23:52Speaker 4: minor dad loss. Why do I not have my own
- 23:54Speaker 4: diaper bag? Why do I share a diaper bag with Jill.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Why do I not have my own souped up, cool looking,
- 24:06Speaker 4: dad looking diaper bag?
- 24:10Speaker 2: What was your conclusion? What'd you come to? Because I'm
- 24:12Speaker 2: sitting here thinking, I share a diaper bag, You share
- 24:14Speaker 2: a diaper bag. Take I don't have my own key.
- 24:16Speaker 4: So he's got a baby on the way, my friend,
- 24:18Speaker 4: and he's like, yeah, dude, I'm on Nike right now.
- 24:20Speaker 4: I'm looking at these diaper bags for dads. They're freaking sick.
- 24:24Speaker 4: I'm like, oh, I kind of want to look at that.
- 24:26Speaker 4: Check out the link and the Nike diaper bags are
- 24:29Speaker 4: like legit. I'm like, I could be toting that thing around.
- 24:32Speaker 3: That would look sick and wife, He's like, hey, did
- 24:36Speaker 3: you forget to put the diaper bag back in the hill?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Was the diaper bag in your car? No more of
- 24:41Speaker 3: that anymore, because now we both have our own diaper bags.
- 24:44Speaker 3: I got my bag, You got your bag.
- 24:48Speaker 2: It's it's you got to bring the diaper bag in
- 24:52Speaker 2: no matter what.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Oh, because you got to refill it, for sure, but
- 24:55Speaker 3: you got the pit stop.
- 24:56Speaker 4: But if I forgot my diaper bag in my car,
- 25:00Speaker 4: that's not gonna affect But what are you doing.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Jill, when you're taking Scarlett out, are you both wearing
- 25:05Speaker 3: diaper bags?
- 25:07Speaker 6: No?
- 25:08Speaker 2: And I'm thinking space in the mudroom wherever you put
- 25:10Speaker 2: your diaper bags, You're just going to take up some
- 25:12Speaker 2: more space with a couple of diper bags in back,
- 25:13Speaker 2: which want we choose them today?
- 25:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true.
- 25:16Speaker 4: But when I go so loo, I'm gonna feel that
- 25:18Speaker 4: much better that I got my diaper bag that I pack.
- 25:21Speaker 4: I just feel like that diaper bag is gonna collect
- 25:23Speaker 4: dust in the closet. Really, that's my opinion. So is
- 25:27Speaker 4: the new dad loss that I even brought up this
- 25:29Speaker 4: idea on the pod?
- 25:31Speaker 3: Is that a new dad loss?
- 25:32Speaker 2: I think a lot of dads out there, unless they're
- 25:34Speaker 2: into having like they're the ones picking the diaper bag.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I think a lot of dads sitting out there listening
- 25:39Speaker 2: right now would just think like, yeah, usually wife's got
- 25:42Speaker 2: the diaper bag in check.
- 25:43Speaker 3: It's about getting the diaper bag ready.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:46Speaker 2: I know for me, for me and my role willly
- 25:49Speaker 2: one shelf, I would misplace or lose my diaper bag eventually.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Yeah, And it's a it's a matter of if it
- 25:56Speaker 4: ain't broke, don't fix it. Like Jill and I are
- 25:58Speaker 4: on a one diaper bag system to you, and I
- 26:00Speaker 4: just kind of used the like, hey, did you bring
- 26:02Speaker 4: the diaper bag back in as an example, like Jill's
- 26:05Speaker 4: on top of the diaper bag stuff.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Yeah, because yeah.
- 26:09Speaker 2: We're able to fit the snacks and everything into one
- 26:10Speaker 2: diaper back because when Scotti was a newborn, we would
- 26:13Speaker 2: have a separate little diaper bag for Scottie, like if
- 26:17Speaker 2: we would go on trips or something like that. Yeah,
- 26:19Speaker 2: as far as everyday use to share the diaper bag.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Well, then my new dad losses that I'm overthinking diaperbacks.
- 26:29Speaker 4: Second dad loss. This one's the more major one. I'm
- 26:32Speaker 4: terrible at feeding Scarlet solids. I can't feed her solids
- 26:37Speaker 4: worth a damn. She started solids this week. We're steaming
- 26:41Speaker 4: like veggies. We're making our own baby food essentially. Yeah,
- 26:47Speaker 4: Jill is so good at feeding Scarlet. I'll provide a
- 26:50Speaker 4: chef with some video that just popped up on the screen.
- 26:54Speaker 4: Scarlet's like grabbing the spoon herself and bringing it to
- 26:58Speaker 4: her mouth.
- 26:58Speaker 3: When mom's doing it, he's eating. She's just an eater.
- 27:02Speaker 4: And then whenever Dadas is doing it's solo on nights
- 27:05Speaker 4: where Jill's working late and I'm doing solids.
- 27:08Speaker 3: I can't get her to do a thing. She won't eat.
- 27:11Speaker 1: What do you think the issue is?
- 27:12Speaker 6: Me?
- 27:14Speaker 7: Like?
- 27:14Speaker 3: Are you like, is it you lose focus?
- 27:17Speaker 6: No?
- 27:18Speaker 3: Oh, I'm I'm dialed in because I'm so in my head.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Is she grabbing? Is she grabbing these with her hand?
- 27:25Speaker 4: She's not focused that? Like, I couldn't be more focused.
- 27:28Speaker 4: She couldn't give two fucks. But then when Mama's is
- 27:32Speaker 4: there and I'm doing all the same stuff that Jill does.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, garlic is the screep potato look, and
- 27:41Speaker 3: you know, doing it and slapping it on, letting her
- 27:43Speaker 3: play with it with her hands, get a feel for that,
- 27:47Speaker 3: pick it, you know, getting the spoon, putting the spoon
- 27:50Speaker 3: by her mouth.
- 27:50Speaker 4: She's not even you know, She's just like I got
- 27:53Speaker 4: TV off, all distracted, Like there's no distractions going on.
- 27:57Speaker 4: I take all the toys, the squeaky toys, out of
- 27:59Speaker 4: the dog mouth, because sometimes that distracts Scarlet while she's
- 28:02Speaker 4: trying to eat. I am setting the stage for what
- 28:06Speaker 4: you would think is a premiere eating and I.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Can't get her to take a bite. Dude, is it?
- 28:12Speaker 1: Does it end? Up in you just feeding her.
- 28:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:14Speaker 4: But even then she's like kind of like eh, And
- 28:18Speaker 4: I'm like, well, did that dad microwave it too long?
- 28:21Speaker 3: Does it need to cool down?
- 28:23Speaker 4: And I'm putting it on the little thing and I'm
- 28:24Speaker 4: mixing it around and you know, kind of finger testing it,
- 28:28Speaker 4: putting my finger on it to be like is it
- 28:30Speaker 4: too hot? Like what's going on? Jill's like just room temperature.
- 28:35Speaker 4: It doesn't need to be hot. I'm like, I know that,
- 28:38Speaker 4: I don't want to burn her mouth.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Shet messing with that.
- 28:41Speaker 3: She is not messing with that.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Maybe she's not hungry at that time.
- 28:45Speaker 3: I don't know, dude, if you saw the way that
- 28:47Speaker 3: she was going at it, I.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Know a routine.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I'm picturing all the things that I think that if
- 28:53Speaker 2: Scarlet's not eating, usually it gets to like, say, you
- 28:56Speaker 2: don't want to take all the patients in the world
- 28:58Speaker 2: to having them figure out eating and then you just
- 29:00Speaker 2: start feeding them.
- 29:01Speaker 1: This is what I would get into.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and then they just want you to feed them.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:06Speaker 4: And she wasn't even doing that. It was just getting
- 29:09Speaker 4: all over her mouth. She's not opening her mouth at all.
- 29:12Speaker 4: But I'll tell you what, she loves the water bottle.
- 29:16Speaker 2: He had experience the water bottle for the first time.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Broody Scotty will grab that thing and just be like,
- 29:23Speaker 2: she's a fiend for the water.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Yeah, to the point where she fills her stomach up
- 29:27Speaker 4: with so much water that she's starting to spit it out.
- 29:31Speaker 3: She's like drinking it and then just just spit it out.
- 29:35Speaker 3: But we'll look at you and start going ah for
- 29:38Speaker 3: you to get You're like, you're not gonna drink. You
- 29:39Speaker 3: ain't even drinking, bro You're spitting it out.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Scotty do the same.
- 29:42Speaker 2: She put it in her mouth and just sit there
- 29:43Speaker 2: and look at you, and it would just run out
- 29:44Speaker 2: the side of her mouth, like into her into the little.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Bib thing or whatever.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:49Speaker 2: And then and then she wants to day nah, which
- 29:52Speaker 2: is Lama n Nah, wants s Lama to sit there
- 29:56Speaker 2: and watch her eat.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Good.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Here's lama. You can't touch a long while your hands
- 30:01Speaker 1: are dirty.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I just always know what Scott he's done eating, because
- 30:03Speaker 2: she'll just start throwing the food off of the She'll
- 30:06Speaker 2: start throwing the food off the plate.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Yeah, that's Scarlet's on the same and that's where she started.
- 30:12Speaker 2: When I was feed did you get her where did
- 30:14Speaker 2: you get her fed? Did you get her fed?
- 30:16Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 30:16Speaker 3: With Baba took the milk, Yeah, some milk, took down
- 30:21Speaker 3: seven ounces.
- 30:21Speaker 4: She was hungry, obviously. It was just right before bedtime. Yeah,
- 30:25Speaker 4: you get her put to bed? No, yeah, but everything
- 30:27Speaker 4: went great.
- 30:28Speaker 2: You come downstairs, you clean the steamer, you clean the dishes,
- 30:33Speaker 2: you set everything up for successful when mom comes home
- 30:35Speaker 2: to a clean house.
- 30:36Speaker 3: I forgot that.
- 30:36Speaker 1: I texted him that clean counters.
- 30:39Speaker 3: I forgot that. I texted you that the wife you
- 30:42Speaker 3: coming home?
- 30:42Speaker 1: Sweet? You killed it?
- 30:43Speaker 3: Willie want shelf? I got. I have to Uh, I
- 30:47Speaker 3: have to admit to something to pet Sikos and to
- 30:51Speaker 3: the boys here on the set. I didn't clean the
- 30:54Speaker 3: dishes or the steamer. You know, I brought home lunch.
- 31:02Speaker 4: I bought dinner for the fam.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Uh. Put baby Scarlet to bed fatter.
- 31:10Speaker 2: This is this night that we're talking. Yeah, yeah, you know,
- 31:14Speaker 2: so brought dinner home. You got dinner home for the fans,
- 31:16Speaker 2: and so when jewel and lunch and lunch. So when
- 31:19Speaker 2: Juill comes home, she has a hot meal. Oh hell yeah, yeah, nice,
- 31:22Speaker 2: a little hot meal. Yeah, what did I get for it?
- 31:25Speaker 2: It was something good? But again we're talking Papa Team
- 31:27Speaker 2: six standard right here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, And we're
- 31:30Speaker 2: in the late lunch, got the dinner, got the baby fed.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Well, and will I checked out on the couch too.
- 31:38Speaker 3: I checked out on the couch. When did you check
- 31:41Speaker 3: out on the couch? That was right when I got home,
- 31:43Speaker 3: when I brought lunch home, eight lunch, I checked out
- 31:46Speaker 3: on the couch.
- 31:49Speaker 2: You had the audassy to walk home, to walk inside, yes, sir,
- 31:53Speaker 2: after work, after day?
- 31:55Speaker 3: Was this Friday?
- 31:57Speaker 2: On a Friday? Yeah, and when mam so, I'm taking
- 32:00Speaker 2: care of kiddo. Yeah, you walk in, Hey, brought in
- 32:03Speaker 2: some lunch? Yeah, and then walk to the couch and
- 32:06Speaker 2: sit down. Yeah, sure did.
- 32:10Speaker 3: And that morning woke up at five am to go
- 32:13Speaker 3: doff hunting. Guess how many dove I saw?
- 32:16Speaker 1: Zero?
- 32:17Speaker 4: Guess how many times I almost shit my pants? I
- 32:18Speaker 4: had to shit in the woods and wipe with the
- 32:21Speaker 4: Clorox wipes. That was that was one time? Did that
- 32:26Speaker 4: one time on that hunt? Great day, Friday was a
- 32:30Speaker 4: great day. It's a good day.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Why'd you sit on the why'd you check out and
- 32:34Speaker 1: sit on the couch? And you get home?
- 32:38Speaker 3: So learn learning lessons for the men out there hey
- 32:40Speaker 3: learning Okay, wifey nudge and hubby.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Right now saying you do the same shit I'll.
- 32:44Speaker 3: Get I'll get into it.
- 32:46Speaker 4: I'll get into it because I think this is a
- 32:48Speaker 4: good learning lesson. I was so happy that I got
- 32:52Speaker 4: up and dove hunted that morning.
- 32:53Speaker 3: I truly was.
- 32:54Speaker 4: Phil jonesl yes and loved that. Jill loved that I
- 33:00Speaker 4: got up and went dove hunting. She was like, I
- 33:03Speaker 4: don't do not worry about waking up and getting Scarlett.
- 33:06Speaker 3: I got it.
- 33:08Speaker 4: I want you to go do something that Phil Shurm's
- 33:11Speaker 4: cup up. I want you to go have a morning
- 33:13Speaker 4: blah blah blah. And then you know, after a successful
- 33:18Speaker 4: day of dove hunting and uh of work, I just
- 33:22Speaker 4: I came home and instead of going I'm exhausted and
- 33:27Speaker 4: I really want to check out. I didn't have that
- 33:29Speaker 4: conversation with myself going into the house, which that often,
- 33:33Speaker 4: honestly kind of helps me when I am like extra exhausted,
- 33:38Speaker 4: I will take that moment. We had a great ride
- 33:40Speaker 4: in from a guy that said in his truck he
- 33:42Speaker 4: just likes to like take a little moment.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Did not do that, certainly did not. I one checked out.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Screen Time's a big thing for and I'm not even
- 33:53Speaker 4: making it a New Year's resolution, like I that's like
- 33:56Speaker 4: a goal, Like that's like just a relationship goal with
- 34:00Speaker 4: me and Jel's screen time have to eliminate.
- 34:03Speaker 3: So you checked out on the couch and got on
- 34:04Speaker 3: your phone.
- 34:05Speaker 4: Oh, big time, big time. And then yeah, I mean
- 34:11Speaker 4: it was a good day, It was a great day.
- 34:14Speaker 4: But then with dinner, I told her I'd do the dishes.
- 34:17Speaker 4: Id not do those for everybody listening. He came home,
- 34:22Speaker 4: he checked out.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Yeah, mom's got the kid. He came home and he
- 34:26Speaker 2: checked out because he was exhausted. Yeah, got on his phone.
- 34:31Speaker 2: But you brought in, You brought in lunch, brought and
- 34:33Speaker 2: lunch and dinner. You get dinner, take care of sweetheart.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Go go work, go do your thing. You come home,
- 34:38Speaker 2: you're gonna have dinner off the house taken care of.
- 34:42Speaker 2: So already you slip up with the checking out, like, hey,
- 34:44Speaker 2: what are we doing?
- 34:45Speaker 1: Why?
- 34:45Speaker 3: Why are you on the check out too? What do
- 34:47Speaker 3: you want me do while you're on the couch?
- 34:48Speaker 1: Rub your feet?
- 34:49Speaker 3: Yeah? Well great reply to my text. Will had a
- 34:54Speaker 3: great reply. I said, yeah, she was a little upset,
- 34:57Speaker 3: checked out on the couch, today, he said, Damn, she
- 35:01Speaker 3: didn't start rubbing her feet. Didn't get the hint.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Hey, hey, Papa Shirt's a little tye die, little sleepy boy.
- 35:09Speaker 4: You mind while you're cradling uh scarlet playing with third
- 35:13Speaker 4: you mind rubbing rubbing my feet?
- 35:14Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 35:15Speaker 1: You mind doing the little piggies with me? Taking my
- 35:17Speaker 1: feet a little.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Bit made me a bad time story. Let me be
- 35:21Speaker 2: comfortable while you while you take care of everything goes.
- 35:24Speaker 4: While you're making warm milk for the six month old,
- 35:26Speaker 4: you might making me a glass that actually sounds kind
- 35:29Speaker 4: of nice.
- 35:30Speaker 2: I might want one another. I'm just gonna put on
- 35:32Speaker 2: dinner night. When you get on your mind, you might
- 35:34Speaker 2: throwing in a frozen pizza for me.
- 35:39Speaker 3: So she comes home, we still got those dumplings, babe. Yeah,
- 35:43Speaker 3: Jilly Bean comes home.
- 35:45Speaker 1: She got dinner.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I got dinner. But this is yeah, she's got
- 35:49Speaker 3: She got her dinner from Papa Shirt. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 35:52Speaker 3: but kitchens a mess, kitchens and mess, didn't clean the steamer.
- 35:57Speaker 3: I'm laying in bed, feet kicked up. Oh so she
- 36:01Speaker 3: comes home, you're laying in bed feeking.
- 36:03Speaker 4: It's more so like she was home this entire time.
- 36:06Speaker 4: She got Friday off so like she's been home the
- 36:08Speaker 4: whole day.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Okay, I imagine she was at work he was doing you.
- 36:12Speaker 3: No, No, she's been home all day.
- 36:15Speaker 4: I checked out, you know, dinner, battime, all that stuff. Hey, honey,
- 36:22Speaker 4: I'll after we fed Scarlet, I'll do everything like bathtime,
- 36:28Speaker 4: tucking in scarlet, as long as you get the dishes
- 36:31Speaker 4: and like Scarlet's uh high chair super cleaned up, which
- 36:37Speaker 4: that's a that's an actual task because we put some
- 36:40Speaker 4: olive oil like in the baby food. So we're not
- 36:43Speaker 4: just talking about baby food everywhere. We're talking about greasy
- 36:46Speaker 4: olive oil baby food everywhere. Like you gotta get the
- 36:50Speaker 4: what's that scrub I gave you, scrub daddy, scrub daddy,
- 36:53Speaker 4: you gotta get the some kind of sponger scrub daddy
- 36:56Speaker 4: on it. I truly, I could not tell you what
- 37:00Speaker 4: made me not do the dishes. I'm being so serious,
- 37:02Speaker 4: like it was not a definitive choice of not doing
- 37:06Speaker 4: the dishes, but I did maybe twenty five percent of
- 37:11Speaker 4: my tasks that needed to be done. Fed the dogs,
- 37:14Speaker 4: walked them and kind of just went.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Like I killed it, killed it, get in bed, and
- 37:20Speaker 3: I'm sitting there in bed.
- 37:21Speaker 4: I'm watching the remake of Naked Gun, laughing my ass off.
- 37:27Speaker 3: I'm loving it really good.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Sitting there, I'm like the picture Jill coming up the
- 37:31Speaker 2: stairs or are you downstairs or upstairs?
- 37:33Speaker 3: Downstairs?
- 37:34Speaker 2: Jill just walking in the room and hearing terms, you know,
- 37:37Speaker 2: his laugh that he has, his giggle. Liam Neeson's just
- 37:41Speaker 2: splitting me.
- 37:43Speaker 4: I'm dying, and Jill goes, oh, love, hey, love that
- 37:47Speaker 4: you're ready for bed. Love How comfy he looked, cause uh,
- 37:51Speaker 4: you know, now you know, I guess I'm your personal
- 37:54Speaker 4: maid now, which I'm fine with because now I get
- 37:58Speaker 4: to play our daughter, to which you had no part in.
- 38:01Speaker 4: And I get to clean all the dishes too, which
- 38:04Speaker 4: is what you specifically told me that you were gonna do.
- 38:07Speaker 3: But no, hey, it's fine. You go ahead. You late.
- 38:09Speaker 3: You just laid down. You got nine night, and I'd like,
- 38:13Speaker 3: you know, swipe up on my U because I'm watching
- 38:15Speaker 3: on the phone. I swipe up on peacock. I'm like,
- 38:18Speaker 3: here we go. I sat there silent for probably twenty
- 38:22Speaker 3: minutes as Jill wax poetically we gotta figure it out,
- 38:27Speaker 3: gotta figure it out, but will text me, hey, pubg tonight. No,
- 38:32Speaker 3: it was the next day. The next day, Hey, you good.
- 38:36Speaker 2: It's like because our r chat to Puffg's going off
- 38:39Speaker 2: and shureham, you don't hear anything out of shroom well.
- 38:41Speaker 4: And when I get a text from Will usually it's
- 38:43Speaker 4: like something to do with social media. So my initial
- 38:46Speaker 4: was like you good. I was like, what what is
- 38:49Speaker 4: he referring to? And checked my socials. I was like,
- 38:52Speaker 4: I've been posted anything today, and then.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I said you good. Then sent them a screen.
- 38:57Speaker 3: You sent me the screenshot hard group.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Chat that plays video games a night, because this was
- 39:02Speaker 2: a round. This was on like New Year's right, this
- 39:04Speaker 2: is Friday? Yeah, yeah, whatever Friday was, Yeah, whatever Friday was.
- 39:07Speaker 2: And like you good, he said, sir, yes, sir. And
- 39:11Speaker 2: I just sent him a screenshot of us like getting
- 39:12Speaker 2: to dinner or some chicken dinner or playing the game.
- 39:15Speaker 2: And I was like, Noah died last night, and you
- 39:19Speaker 2: Min died last night, and you were nowhere to be seen,
- 39:23Speaker 2: you know, where to be found.
- 39:24Speaker 4: My reply was and we gotta get the screenshots. It'll
- 39:29Speaker 4: make this story so much better.
- 39:30Speaker 3: But I sent something back like oh dude, it wasn't
- 39:34Speaker 3: wasn't going down last night. Promise you that last thing
- 39:38Speaker 3: Sherman Young is doing on that Friday night, is getting
- 39:40Speaker 3: on bubbg. Yeah, that would have been a death sentence.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:44Speaker 2: The Friday was like my first day of normal. That
- 39:49Speaker 2: felt like normal routine. Yeah, freedom, but getting out of
- 39:52Speaker 2: the trenches of what happened during the week of Christmas
- 39:55Speaker 2: because we shot our episode on which day was a
- 39:57Speaker 2: Monday or Tuesday? Tuesday? Yeah, it was Tuesday, so December
- 40:02Speaker 2: twenty third. Yeah, and on that episode, I was talking
- 40:06Speaker 2: about how, you know, a couple of them are feeling better,
- 40:09Speaker 2: we might be on the other side of it.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:11Speaker 1: It continued.
- 40:12Speaker 2: It actually ramped up again because Rue ended up catching
- 40:16Speaker 2: an ear infection on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, Charle
- 40:21Speaker 2: was down and out, still in bed. She doesn't feel good.
- 40:23Speaker 2: She was running a temperature again or she was running
- 40:25Speaker 2: a fever again. I think like one o two.
- 40:28Speaker 3: Charle was, yeah, because relapsed on the flu as she
- 40:31Speaker 3: just didn't get it all.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Yeah, she didn't like get it all the way down
- 40:34Speaker 2: because she was feeling better with whatever medicine we use.
- 40:37Speaker 2: It's like the moment we kind of start feeling better,
- 40:39Speaker 2: we kind of get off of whatever. Yeah, yeah, it is.
- 40:42Speaker 2: But Charle was still down and out in the morning
- 40:44Speaker 2: on Christmas Eve. That morning, Uh, Scotty had a bad
- 40:47Speaker 2: night and uh she was still running a fever and
- 40:50Speaker 2: then Rue's fever ramped back up, like Ruse was down
- 40:53Speaker 2: on Tuesday, and then it caught back up again on
- 40:56Speaker 2: Wednesday morning. She wasn't feeling good and she was running
- 40:59Speaker 2: one of those three and we're kind of like, God,
- 41:02Speaker 2: what is going on? Like when are we going to
- 41:04Speaker 2: get out of this? Because Ruse fever started on Saturday
- 41:06Speaker 2: and now it's Wednesday, it's ran back up again. Scotty
- 41:09Speaker 2: had it on Monday, was kind of getting still getting
- 41:12Speaker 2: through the flu. She was very congested having those fever.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Was I talking about the fever jumps on the last episode? No, okay,
- 41:19Speaker 2: So that night Scotty's temperature was at one o three,
- 41:23Speaker 2: one oh four.
- 41:25Speaker 3: And the poor girl, bro that's pretty high.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Yeah, because when it's one oh five plus for kids,
- 41:29Speaker 2: that's when it's like urgent care all of that. Yeah,
- 41:32Speaker 2: So we're we hate it for because we're trying, we're
- 41:35Speaker 2: giving our medicine, like Scotty was fortunately taking the syringe,
- 41:38Speaker 2: taking the medicine. Rue you had to negotiate every time
- 41:40Speaker 2: you had to get orange juice involved. She would argue
- 41:42Speaker 2: with you, I'm telling you don't want to get to
- 41:45Speaker 2: the spot where I'm holding you down and we're forcing
- 41:46Speaker 2: this medicine in your mouth.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Because you're taking it.
- 41:49Speaker 2: I'm like, and every time you take it, you feel better,
- 41:52Speaker 2: and then we relapsed. We don't take it because you
- 41:54Speaker 2: tell us you're feeling better, and then you wake up
- 41:56Speaker 2: the next morning you got the fever again. Like you've
- 41:58Speaker 2: got to stay on this scale of taking the kid's
- 42:02Speaker 2: ibuprofen and whatever else it is.
- 42:04Speaker 1: I reached out to you one night. You and Jill.
- 42:06Speaker 2: You guys were helpful, Jill being a nurse, but Scotti,
- 42:10Speaker 2: the poor girl, bro. She was running a one o three,
- 42:12Speaker 2: one oh four, and she would have these fever jumps,
- 42:15Speaker 2: which is essentially like think of yourself in a nightmare
- 42:17Speaker 2: and you like you just jump up in your body.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Your body shakes like heart. She would get comfortable and
- 42:22Speaker 2: fall asleep in my arms when I was put her
- 42:23Speaker 2: down for bedtime on This was Tuesday night, and she
- 42:28Speaker 2: would like start to fall asleep, like just be on
- 42:30Speaker 2: the surface level, get in the what is it, not
- 42:34Speaker 2: the rem but get in her first like stage of
- 42:36Speaker 2: sleeping she starts to doze off, and she would jump
- 42:39Speaker 2: and her eyes would pop open and she'd just start
- 42:41Speaker 2: crying because it's like she's freaking herself out. But once
- 42:44Speaker 2: she made eye contact with you and you let her
- 42:46Speaker 2: know were safe. Paint, It's okay. But she was hitting
- 42:48Speaker 2: these fever jumps.
- 42:49Speaker 3: Bro.
- 42:49Speaker 2: That night on Tuesday, she probably woke up. She usually
- 42:52Speaker 2: goes down for bedtime at seven. She probably woke up
- 42:54Speaker 2: nine times before eleven pm. Oh my god, before eleven pm,
- 42:58Speaker 2: and she would just like jump, and you know, once
- 43:00Speaker 2: it went for a while enough to where I could
- 43:02Speaker 2: put her down on the crib, she'd be asleep in
- 43:03Speaker 2: the crib and I'll just hope for the best.
- 43:05Speaker 3: And then probably five minutes later, I'd be looking at
- 43:08Speaker 3: her on monitor.
- 43:08Speaker 2: She'd hit a jolt and like, you know, looking around it,
- 43:10Speaker 2: she's you know, she's she's freaking out.
- 43:14Speaker 1: She's not scared when that's happening.
- 43:15Speaker 4: Yeah, in nine times before eleven o'clock, that means she's
- 43:19Speaker 4: she's waking up, she's not getting the sleep that she needs,
- 43:22Speaker 4: which then if you have a deliriously tired toddler, then
- 43:26Speaker 4: it starts.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Getting even worse. And then they get congesteds.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Yeah, when they're crying hard, it's forcing out all the
- 43:31Speaker 2: congestion through their nose.
- 43:32Speaker 1: So I'm having to take the snot sucker.
- 43:34Speaker 2: I'm going on solo missions with the snotsucker, like trying
- 43:37Speaker 2: to hold her arms down and have the snotsucker go
- 43:39Speaker 2: in each noshra while she's thrashing her head around and
- 43:41Speaker 2: just trying to suck snot out so at least she
- 43:44Speaker 2: can feel clear there. So when she does fall asleep.
- 43:46Speaker 2: But that night, I end up taking Scottie down to
- 43:49Speaker 2: bed with.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Me and Charles.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Charles already asleep. She went to bed at like eight
- 43:52Speaker 3: o'clock that night.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I get in bed and I just got Scotty
- 43:55Speaker 2: and I'm just kind of sleeping with her for most
- 43:57Speaker 2: of the night. Charlie helps out on the the next half,
- 44:01Speaker 2: like probably starting out, let's just say three, because Scotty
- 44:03Speaker 2: every now and still jump. So we didn't get a
- 44:06Speaker 2: whole lot of sleep that night. So Charli Wick's up
- 44:07Speaker 2: the next morning. It's Christmas Eve, show us us up
- 44:10Speaker 2: a pediatrician appointment because they got back to us on Tuesday. Hey,
- 44:12Speaker 2: let's set an appointment. A fever doesn't calm down. So
- 44:15Speaker 2: I'm going into the pediatrician with both kids on Christmas
- 44:17Speaker 2: Eve on Christmas Eve morning. Ideal good yeah, good, great,
- 44:21Speaker 2: this is this is this is what we pray for me.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Hey Christmas doctor, Yeah, yeah, hey, merry Christmas Eve. Yes,
- 44:27Speaker 2: the kids are sick. You're kind of getting all of
- 44:28Speaker 2: their vitals and everything checked. There were you know, they're
- 44:30Speaker 2: running fevers. Find out with Ruth the reason her spikes
- 44:33Speaker 2: back up. She catches an ear infection from the flu.
- 44:37Speaker 2: So Rue now has an ear infection. Scotty's years are fine,
- 44:40Speaker 2: she just has the flu. Yeah, we go back home.
- 44:43Speaker 2: We do our best to embrace Christmas and Christmas Eve.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Like that day my family who's coming into town, they
- 44:49Speaker 2: cancel planes.
- 44:50Speaker 1: They don't come in.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Oh no, yeah, and was it your brothers? Were they
- 44:54Speaker 2: My brothers and my dad were coming in or for Christmas?
- 44:57Speaker 2: They were going to travel in I think on Christmas Day,
- 44:59Speaker 2: But then they canceled plans because kids that flew hey,
- 45:01Speaker 2: they're not going to get better.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 45:03Speaker 2: And usually I want to say the the like gentleman's
- 45:08Speaker 2: rule or fact is like, hey, when it's like twenty
- 45:11Speaker 2: five hours, are still contagious? Twenty four hours after having
- 45:14Speaker 2: a fever after the fever goes down. Yes, so my
- 45:16Speaker 2: dad didn't want to get sick, and you know, nobody
- 45:19Speaker 2: they didn't travel in but we did our best to
- 45:21Speaker 2: embrace Christmas. Even Christmas, we end up going to Target
- 45:24Speaker 2: getting some gingerbread houses. Again, it was a little chaotic,
- 45:28Speaker 2: but they're trying to keep this christmaspirit alive.
- 45:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:30Speaker 2: I got this this little camp Snap eight that uh
- 45:34Speaker 2: white elfin gift I got for the office.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Yeah, nothing's sick, but I got one for charing.
- 45:37Speaker 2: We're kind of doing like these home videos, this home
- 45:39Speaker 2: video feel with this camp snap bait. It's this camera
- 45:41Speaker 2: for about one hundred and seventy bucks that you can
- 45:43Speaker 2: get online. No free shoutouts to camp snap. But yeah, well,
- 45:48Speaker 2: like we still had a lot of fun. But dude,
- 45:50Speaker 2: it was we were in the trenches and it felt
- 45:52Speaker 2: like the first normal day that we had. When I'm
- 45:54Speaker 2: reaching out trying to get the boys together for some gaming.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Was that Friday was on Friday, Yeah, because Christmas was Christmas.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Eve was tough.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Christmas was a lot better. Charles's parents came over. They
- 46:04Speaker 2: were like, Scottie still she wasn't feeling the best. Rue
- 46:08Speaker 2: was feeling a little bit better. But you're just all
- 46:10Speaker 2: these different routines because she's been out of school, she's
- 46:12Speaker 2: been on Christmas.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Break, she's been sick. But we still had a great Christmas.
- 46:17Speaker 2: But it was a grind, bro, And I feel like
- 46:19Speaker 2: the flu went around everywhere. I feel like any anybody
- 46:23Speaker 2: that I've connected with that has kids, they have some
- 46:25Speaker 2: story recently within whether it's the month of November December
- 46:28Speaker 2: where they're just getting out of the flu or they're
- 46:31Speaker 2: just now in the flu. But it was it was
- 46:34Speaker 2: ripping around, Bro.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Flu season is a thing.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Like just got off the phone with the friend in
- 46:39Speaker 4: Texas that as soon as he answered the phone, buddy.
- 46:44Speaker 3: Were you sleeping? Are you all right? Like, no, dog
- 46:46Speaker 3: got the flu. I got work out.
- 46:48Speaker 4: I'm like, oh I feel you. House guy hit with
- 46:51Speaker 4: that like three weeks ago.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I came out un just again. Hey, I didn't
- 46:56Speaker 2: dodge the flu. The flu dodged. Will see.
- 47:01Speaker 4: They say he has the immune system of a feral hog.
- 47:04Speaker 4: He cannot get sick. Good luck, you're the same. It
- 47:10Speaker 4: always works. It always worked.
- 47:11Speaker 6: I don't have time to get sick. I don't have
- 47:13Speaker 6: time to get sick. Dads, don't have time to get
- 47:15Speaker 6: the ultimate immune system. Yes, sir, nothing better. I have
- 47:19Speaker 6: a a dad hack for you. I think I've brought
- 47:23Speaker 6: up on the pod before, do you? So you have
- 47:25Speaker 6: the manual snot sucker.
- 47:28Speaker 2: I got the manual snotsucker. We first rocked with the bull.
- 47:31Speaker 2: So any parents out there that have the bulb and
- 47:32Speaker 2: you might get frustrated. I've heard there's better options out there,
- 47:36Speaker 2: better options out there.
- 47:37Speaker 3: There's way better option. We got the we got the
- 47:39Speaker 3: manual schnock sucktor where I'm like and.
- 47:41Speaker 1: I'm just zapping it out of.
- 47:43Speaker 4: Her to quote Will Compton, Buddy, do I have something
- 47:48Speaker 4: for you? The auto snot sucker. You literally hit a
- 47:53Speaker 4: power button and then you get to control the sucking
- 47:58Speaker 4: power of it. It's got like three different uh little
- 48:03Speaker 4: pieces like ends to put it into the nose. It's
- 48:06Speaker 4: got like a real wide one to start. You spray
- 48:09Speaker 4: salene up there and you start with the wide one
- 48:11Speaker 4: and then you move down to like the titaned filters.
- 48:15Speaker 4: It's the funnest thing in the entire world, buddy, It's
- 48:19Speaker 4: the best thing in the entire world. I'll take a
- 48:22Speaker 4: picture of it for you today. Might get home buddy,
- 48:25Speaker 4: I need that, buddy, you do op telling you you
- 48:29Speaker 4: will personally love it.
- 48:30Speaker 3: It's fun to use.
- 48:32Speaker 1: I was using my nose.
- 48:33Speaker 3: You can, you literally can and it will work.
- 48:37Speaker 4: And Scarlett is a fan of it too, because like
- 48:39Speaker 4: the manual thing and the bulb, like it's just so
- 48:42Speaker 4: much like.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, they're in their mind like full, I'm about
- 48:46Speaker 2: to get tortured because they got to get held down.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Scarlet with instantly start keep her keep her face still,
- 48:50Speaker 2: keep her face.
- 48:53Speaker 3: Radio but hard.
- 48:56Speaker 1: I need the.
- 48:59Speaker 2: Just ripping their head around and they're just screaming still
- 49:02Speaker 2: afterwards because the trauma event that just took place. Yes,
- 49:04Speaker 2: so you know, it's like they're just activating all of
- 49:07Speaker 2: this this congestion again.
- 49:08Speaker 3: Yes, dude.
- 49:09Speaker 4: When I do the auto one with Scarlet, she knows
- 49:13Speaker 4: and she's trying to like she likes to like kind
- 49:15Speaker 4: of try and grab it. She's still doing her baby thing,
- 49:17Speaker 4: but she is so like, hey, this thing's great, totally
- 49:22Speaker 4: fine with it.
- 49:22Speaker 3: Go you know, go to work dad. I love that.
- 49:25Speaker 1: I appreciate that.
- 49:26Speaker 3: I'll put you on game.
- 49:28Speaker 2: I appreciate that. Another thing that we are currently going through,
- 49:32Speaker 2: we're in a phase of life of is Scotty is
- 49:35Speaker 2: swinging on Rue.
- 49:36Speaker 3: Tell us about that. What's going on, scott Zilla. It's funny.
- 49:41Speaker 3: It's funny, dude.
- 49:43Speaker 2: I like I got to hold back my laughter because
- 49:45Speaker 2: when it happens like that's I guess Scotty trying to
- 49:47Speaker 2: communicate and everything else.
- 49:49Speaker 3: Like Roo might have a toy she wants, and Scotty
- 49:52Speaker 3: like walk over there.
- 49:52Speaker 2: And she'll just just whop her in the head or
- 49:55Speaker 2: try and hit her in the face.
- 49:56Speaker 3: Of the shoulder, whatever she can get a hold of Rum.
- 49:58Speaker 2: And she just with her little body just stands there,
- 50:01Speaker 2: the little scott Zilla to be.
- 50:02Speaker 3: And she stands there and looks at Ruin. Rue knows
- 50:04Speaker 3: she can't like hit her back.
- 50:05Speaker 1: She knows.
- 50:06Speaker 3: We're like, hey, we tell Scotty, hey, gentle, we don't
- 50:09Speaker 3: hit we don't. We don't have her sister.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't want to treat that's not very kind
- 50:13Speaker 2: and you want to hit big sissy. And then she
- 50:15Speaker 2: try and go for a swing again. I'll like grab
- 50:17Speaker 2: her on like easy, Scott's dealing easy.
- 50:19Speaker 1: I'll pick her up and take her away.
- 50:21Speaker 2: But moments where it's happening, it's kind of away from us,
- 50:25Speaker 2: and we will be like you'll hear start whining or
- 50:27Speaker 2: start crying, and I'm like, Rue, I'm like, you just
- 50:31Speaker 2: gotta just walk away from her. Don't just keep standing
- 50:33Speaker 2: in the same spot to let her tea all funny. Yeah, yeah,
- 50:36Speaker 2: she like walks away from her to go on the couch,
- 50:37Speaker 2: and Scotty starts like mosing around and then starts heading
- 50:41Speaker 2: towards the couch.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Scotty, Scotty, No, No, we don't hate your sister.
- 50:44Speaker 1: We don't hit your She's.
- 50:45Speaker 3: Just the slowest heat seeking missile.
- 50:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, it's so funny.
- 50:50Speaker 6: Man.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Favorite will is of right now is the long distance
- 50:54Speaker 3: Scotty from like long distance of just you trying anything
- 50:58Speaker 3: you can. Oh my god, dude, I put up. Do
- 51:03Speaker 3: you know what an upright seat is? Some pet siccos
- 51:06Speaker 3: at home probably know what it is. It's one of
- 51:08Speaker 3: those like chairs that you sit that like is real
- 51:11Speaker 3: hard on the back, so it teaches the baby to
- 51:14Speaker 3: want to sit up and kind of work on balance.
- 51:17Speaker 3: Has a little table in front of it. Have you
- 51:19Speaker 3: ever seen one of these?
- 51:20Speaker 1: No? I don't think so.
- 51:21Speaker 4: Okay, we put like whenever we need our hands for
- 51:24Speaker 4: you to like cooking stuff, we'll put Scarlet in the
- 51:28Speaker 4: upright seat and then put the upright seat on top
- 51:31Speaker 4: of our island because it is so we got it.
- 51:35Speaker 2: We got a little seat that we set on the
- 51:37Speaker 2: island and we just kind of buckle her in.
- 51:38Speaker 3: Is that an upright seats? Boom, that's an upright seat?
- 51:41Speaker 1: Okay?
- 51:41Speaker 3: Yeah, so yes, okay, So have Scarlet sitting in one
- 51:45Speaker 3: of those.
- 51:45Speaker 4: And I'm doing solo dad Saturday, and I'm making up
- 51:48Speaker 4: for Friday. So I'm cooking steaks. I'm cooking like I'm
- 51:51Speaker 4: I'm putting a.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Found the knocker socks off when he gets the.
- 51:54Speaker 4: Beast together, and I'm so in it. I look up, dude,
- 51:58Speaker 4: I put the upright seat next to the knife thing.
- 52:01Speaker 4: I swear to God, the biggest butcher knife in the
- 52:05Speaker 4: not you know those wood blocks of knives. Yes, Scarlett's
- 52:08Speaker 4: got it halfway out, Will Compton.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Yeah, and I hit her with the scarlet. Hi, Oh
- 52:17Speaker 3: my goodness, let's put that back. Yeah, just like giggling,
- 52:20Speaker 3: thank you for getting that out and help me put
- 52:22Speaker 3: that back in. It's like we're officially in that stage.
- 52:24Speaker 3: She can move and groove now, bro, They're all over.
- 52:29Speaker 2: When they get to where they can walk and everything
- 52:31Speaker 2: else there. Scott Zilla is all over the place. She
- 52:33Speaker 2: will be like in the in the cabinets where she like,
- 52:36Speaker 2: you know, they're down, you know, down on the bottom,
- 52:38Speaker 2: the bottom half. Yeah, she'll open the cabinet by the
- 52:40Speaker 2: TV and like climb in the cabinet trying to just
- 52:42Speaker 2: basically like the babies. Dude, they don't They clearly don't
- 52:47Speaker 2: have any sense of like putting things back. They don't
- 52:49Speaker 2: understand that concept whatsoever. They just want to rip everything
- 52:52Speaker 2: out of the cabinet.
- 52:53Speaker 1: Yep. So it's like.
- 52:54Speaker 2: We have the cabinet with the with toys or board games,
- 52:58Speaker 2: whatever it is. She has to take out it. She's
- 53:00Speaker 2: taking out every board game, all the construction paper from
- 53:02Speaker 2: doing Arch and Crash. She takes it all out, perfect,
- 53:04Speaker 2: the glues, the pain's good, perfect, she takes it all.
- 53:07Speaker 3: I'm Scottie, we can't keep doing this. We got to
- 53:10Speaker 3: put this up.
- 53:10Speaker 2: I'll start putting back to the construction paper and she'll
- 53:12Speaker 2: now lean down and grab the construction paper and hand
- 53:14Speaker 2: it to me.
- 53:15Speaker 3: Oh, yes, this is what we do. We put it back. Really,
- 53:17Speaker 3: we're done.
- 53:18Speaker 2: But she has no concept. She likes to put stuff back,
- 53:21Speaker 2: take it out again, put it back. She thinks she's
- 53:23Speaker 2: like doing something. Yeah, yeah, she thinks she's value. She's
- 53:26Speaker 2: being a big girl. Yeah, she's being a big This
- 53:28Speaker 2: is what big girls. And by the way, she loves
- 53:29Speaker 2: the water bowl. She likes the water.
- 53:31Speaker 3: Wait, did you really like fill it up and stuff?
- 53:34Speaker 2: I don't fill up the water bowl. I just give
- 53:37Speaker 2: her a water on the ground. Uncle sheran give to
- 53:40Speaker 2: the water bowl for old scott Zilla.
- 53:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:42Speaker 2: Every now and then around the house, I'll just scary
- 53:44Speaker 2: to drop because she's messing with it. She puts stuff
- 53:46Speaker 2: in the water bowl.
- 53:47Speaker 3: It's just obnoxiously just a huge water bay. Got like
- 53:53Speaker 3: this water bowl that they sold. Oh man, that makes
- 53:57Speaker 3: me happy.
- 53:58Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's the kind of the stage where in
- 54:00Speaker 2: with the scott Zilla and poor Rue. She's just got
- 54:02Speaker 2: to take it. I'm like, Scotty, you just she could
- 54:04Speaker 2: work you over if she wanted to. Fortunately, we've taught
- 54:07Speaker 2: her not to swing back at you.
- 54:08Speaker 4: Yeah, and the good I mean we could work on
- 54:11Speaker 4: ruse bobbing and weaving. That's like something we could lean into.
- 54:15Speaker 2: Yeah, like you gotta learn to kind of catch your arm. Hey,
- 54:17Speaker 2: we don't hit, yes, don't. She'll grab Ruth's hair and
- 54:21Speaker 2: pull it. Oh that's good, Scottie. She's she's about the smoke,
- 54:24Speaker 2: She's about the Actually.
- 54:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like Scarlet's close behind because it's it's
- 54:30Speaker 3: now like we can hold up the head really well,
- 54:34Speaker 3: but every now and then we kind of lose it
- 54:36Speaker 3: and then foreheads hit me in the mouth.
- 54:37Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, bro's Kelly swing their head and just
- 54:41Speaker 2: poppy and You're like.
- 54:42Speaker 4: It's like a miniature bowling ball and just like randomly
- 54:45Speaker 4: we'll just go think on your face.
- 54:47Speaker 3: You're like a good lord. She's ripping my glasses off.
- 54:50Speaker 3: She's just grabbing my glasses and I'm like, okay, hey, hey, hey,
- 54:54Speaker 3: where are we doing ripping my test hair out? That's
- 54:57Speaker 3: a big one. Yeah, just started.
- 54:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you get a hold of my leg here and
- 55:01Speaker 2: my arm hair. Every now and then it's been terrible.
- 55:03Speaker 2: They're just learning, they're just learning. Can we talk about
- 55:08Speaker 2: the Facebook comment that Jill received? I would love to,
- 55:14Speaker 2: because you guys are getting a first babysitter. We're getting
- 55:16Speaker 2: the first babysitter.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Push big shout out to you guys.
- 55:19Speaker 3: Thank you. I want to shout out Jill.
- 55:22Speaker 4: I want to shout out her co worker Allison, and
- 55:26Speaker 4: then I want to shout out Julia, our babysitter. I
- 55:29Speaker 4: will not be dropping last names because no one is
- 55:32Speaker 4: stealing Julia from us. Julia is ours. I will be selfish.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Were contacting my wife? Yeah, hey, don't he come on, man,
- 55:39Speaker 4: don't be poaching. But yeah, Julia worked in the nick
- 55:44Speaker 4: you for a year. She worked or sorry, worked in
- 55:47Speaker 4: the nick you for three years. Now works in labor
- 55:51Speaker 4: and delivery. She's a nurse, so we're she's seeing all
- 55:55Speaker 4: the shit, so we feel very comfortable. Those were kind
- 55:58Speaker 4: of like Jill's param like I need her to have
- 56:02Speaker 4: this kind of experience, and she just couldn't be more sweet.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Dude.
- 56:07Speaker 4: We met her at a coffee shop to like introduce
- 56:10Speaker 4: Scarlett and Julia to each other. They hit it right off.
- 56:14Speaker 4: Scarlet's just like in Julia's arm. Speaking of pulling hair,
- 56:18Speaker 4: Julia's got some sick like super curly, thick hair, and
- 56:22Speaker 4: Scarlet's obsessed with it, just going the entire time, like,
- 56:26Speaker 4: don't scare her off, Like what are you doing?
- 56:30Speaker 1: You guys are looking for a babysitter, but you're doing
- 56:32Speaker 1: a date night.
- 56:33Speaker 3: We're doing it date night.
- 56:34Speaker 4: And Jill gets on and if I could get some
- 56:38Speaker 4: help from Derek R. Chef on just finding what county
- 56:41Speaker 4: it is. It's a county near Nashville that starts with
- 56:44Speaker 4: an M, and they have a Facebook group.
- 56:47Speaker 3: Marie or Marshall.
- 56:51Speaker 5: Marie County, Southwest County.
- 56:54Speaker 4: I think I think Mari does sound right. So there's
- 56:56Speaker 4: like some Facebook group called like Marie County mom, you know,
- 57:00Speaker 4: Mari County. And people at work were like, oh, Jill
- 57:04Speaker 4: just posting there that you're looking for a babysitter, Like
- 57:06Speaker 4: that's a great way to kind of like put the
- 57:08Speaker 4: feels out.
- 57:10Speaker 3: Jill puts this post out, you go hit the communities
- 57:12Speaker 3: out there, Go hit the communities.
- 57:14Speaker 1: Bro.
- 57:14Speaker 4: I was so pissed that she deleted the posts because
- 57:19Speaker 4: some psychopath jumps on her. And I'm talking the sweetest
- 57:23Speaker 4: posts of all time for my wife, my husband and
- 57:26Speaker 4: I just meet to Tennessee and we're loving it. We

- 57:49Speaker 4: shit mom?
- 57:49Speaker 3: You are. Hey, how about instead of having the village
- 57:52Speaker 3: raise your kid.
- 57:53Speaker 4: For you, you you know, pull up and strap your
- 57:57Speaker 4: boots and be a fucking mom.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Dude. That is fucking crazy.
- 58:01Speaker 4: It was crazy, and Jill deleted it, so I never
- 58:05Speaker 4: saw the comment. This is like coming from her. I'm like,
- 58:09Speaker 4: oh my god, that would have been napalm on the podcast.
- 58:12Speaker 3: Honey. If we had had screens, I would have had that.
- 58:14Speaker 1: Right, there's prime walk material.
- 58:17Speaker 3: Oh dude, goom Berets would have ended this man. He
- 58:21Speaker 3: would have He would not have a Facebook right now.
- 58:23Speaker 3: It would have been completely He would have been like,

- 58:26Speaker 1: There's a cause.
- 58:27Speaker 2: PT six gets mobile for Yeah, Milk Team six gets
- 58:31Speaker 2: MOBI before everybody gets mobile for.
- 58:33Speaker 1: This is where you take the country to war.
- 58:35Speaker 4: Hey, how about instead of having the village raise your kid,
- 58:38Speaker 4: you just be a fucking mom, you piece of shit?
- 58:40Speaker 6: Why is there a sixty year old dude in the
- 58:42Speaker 6: Maury County mom.
- 58:43Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. Facebook group? Now you know he
- 58:45Speaker 3: was older. She said that, Okay, she said.

- 58:57Speaker 1: People are trying to fuck.
- 58:59Speaker 4: This isn't this isn't TikTok, you know where everybody's trying
- 59:03Speaker 4: to get somebody in the comments.
- 59:05Speaker 2: I mean, then your first time putting out a post
- 59:06Speaker 2: because you've heard recommendations like hey, you know there's Facebook
- 59:10Speaker 2: groups out there, and you're thinking, oh, like would that
- 59:12Speaker 2: be let's try it out. You're throwing different things at
- 59:14Speaker 2: the wall. I know there's there's sites you can go to,
- 59:17Speaker 2: Facebook groups, there's social group, there's all these different things
- 59:20Speaker 2: that you're just trying to figure out.
- 59:22Speaker 3: Hey, we know this. We've been raising a little scar
- 59:24Speaker 3: Scar for six months.
- 59:25Speaker 1: Mom and dad.
- 59:26Speaker 2: We know we need to fill our cup up at
- 59:28Speaker 2: home with marriage, Like we need to figure out a
- 59:30Speaker 2: date night, Like we need to get in some mommy
- 59:31Speaker 2: and daddy time. So like, let me build up the
- 59:34Speaker 2: courage to write this post, this intentional post, this sweet
- 59:38Speaker 2: post and put it out and see who who in
- 59:41Speaker 2: the county or the community would have some recommendations.
- 59:44Speaker 3: Literally, and this guy just comes in and goes, hey,
- 59:48Speaker 3: piece of shit, what the.
- 59:50Speaker 2: What type of mentality is in this group? Or in
- 59:54Speaker 2: this community on Facebook, and it's just waiting to see
- 59:57Speaker 2: stuff like that to think, Hey, you are a piece
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: of shit parent for even thinking about allowing anybody to
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: look after your kid, because you should be locked in
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: the house twenty four to seven doing absolutely everything with
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: your kid. You're a piece of shit mom. Yeah, Like
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: that's that's that's crazy. Loser mentality.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: Loser mentality. But it is borderline like psychopathy, like it is.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: He sounds like a I can only imagine what this guy,
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: if he has a wife, what she has.
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: To go through. Yeah, oh yeah.
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: Marray County is in the sticks, like you have Columbian
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: spring Hill, but it's on the border of spring Hill,
- 1:00:35Speaker 6: but the rest of it is just country.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: That's it.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: So that dude, I can see some Yeah, And it
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: pains me that Jill felt some type of reaction in
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: her body when she's all it's kind of like whether
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: it's fear whatever, it is, like, oh no, like she
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: was scared.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: She was scared, and so that's why she's like, did
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: what I do was wrong?
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: And somebody coming after like, hey, you're a ship parent,
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: It's like, dude, fuck you.
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: I literally said, I said, honey, if your husband built
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: for anything. If there's anything that I'm good at on
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: planet Earth, it is going after guys like this on
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: the internet.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: You're talking to see if be memes on Sweetheart.
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: I would have had a fucking field and talk about
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: a guy with a lot of friends who could say
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: the same. Will Compton if you'd gotten your hands on
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: that guy's first and last.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Dude, I was wishing so bad that we still had
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: the that the post was up and we had the screen,
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: we had whatever it was that would have been to
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: take Papa Team six to war.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: That would have been our most viral clip of all time.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: We would have had EyeBlack on, we would have had
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: hats on like this, and we would have been talking
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: direct to camera, direct to the enemy.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: That's an example that brings the world together. Yeah, you
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: Hey, Hey Darryl Cook in Spring Hills, Tennessee. We coming yeah,
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: and Dion's coming to Yeah. We all like even the
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: the like the female independent pause that might listen to that,
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: we might assume what our show's about are here's the
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: stories that we tell, Like all.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: These guys, these dude, these dads, these blah, blah blah.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Things kind of fighting gaancer, they kind of resent whatever
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: it is. That example right there brings every group their
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: parenthood together, the.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: Meme of the blood and the crip with their Vandani's time.
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: That's what this situation would have been, would have been.
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: Hey, I'm sorry that I did a fake example, So
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: apologies all the Daryl Cooks out there.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: That's not his name. I don't think it's Daryl Cook.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: Don't let the boys work the internet now, don't want
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: to find we?
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: I mean, we collectively, I'm sure, have ruined people for
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: much much less.
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: Much like we've killed for less.
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: We learn from a small town that my mom posts
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: anything that she believes in.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: There's forty six dudes that did not graduate high school
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: with her yelling at her.
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: My brother and I we do knuckle cracks and going.
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: We don't go to the hometown bars anymore. Because we
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: do knuckle cracks and do business. We are worthless. We
- 1:02:53Speaker 5: can go after them. Sure you let us know.
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: Oh my god, that's what I'm saying. People for much less, man,
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: Oh man.
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: I I didn't wait because Jill really was frazzled by it,
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: and I didn't want to like make it a bigger
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: deal because it's a funny story to tell now. But
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: in the moment, I was like, oh, dang it, I
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: wish you kindn't deleted that. I wish you had screenshoted
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: that we live and we learnt the other day and hey,
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: thank god they will come. Thank god we found Julia. Honestly,
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: she seems like she's gonna be incredible, and tonight's are
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: our first night she uh, we get to go watch
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: Jared Beeman's specials, so people that are watching on Wednesday,
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: he performed live on Tuesday night. It's Zanie's in Nashville,
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: and Julia's gonna arrive at six.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Tonight.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: We'll already have Scarlet bathed and in her jammys, so
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: she's nice and happy when she sees Julia. We've heard
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: that a quick exit is key.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: Do you want to weigh in on that at all?
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Willie trying to line up if we can get some
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: childcare for the.
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: Oh live childcare lineup, let's go weigh in on which part.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: Sorry I did not know you're on the phone.
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: That wasn't like, oh, you're good, come back in here,
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: but would you want to weigh in on the uh
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: quick exit. That's what we've been told from babysitter Julia
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: that the faster we get out of there, the better
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: for Scarlet.
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: The faster you get what's better for Scarlet.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: Like when Julia arrives, take an exit, like leaving the
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: comedy show. I'm like, okay, well she if she's sleeping, Hey,
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: what you're thinking that quick? Like when you're you're you're
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: thinking of leaving scar scar when it all goes down.
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: Yes, like when Julia arrives. It's a quick hand off
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: is what we've been told. Helps it does. Okay, a
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: quick hand off is the goal. Okay, you're not gonna
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: do just a quick hand off. You're gonna hand scar
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: Scar off.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: You're gonna you know, the sad It's it's corraling the
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: sadness that you feel that you know Julie's are, that
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: you know Jill's gonna feel.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that you know Scarlet might creep up.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: The best thing that could happen is if she's just
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: not aware, she doesn't have that separation anxiety yet. I
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: forget what month that starts coming along. You might be
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: in the clear since he's only six months since she
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: is only six months old. Yeah, so if that's the case,
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: a quick exit will be it'll be harder on you,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: guys than it is Scarlet. It's when they start forming
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: the separation anxiety and they realize, you, guys are leaving
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: for dinner to where sadness really like it keeps older
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: and you're just like, hey, sweetheart, we have to get
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: out of here. And then you're leaving the dryway and
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: you're just both sad leaving for date night, and you're like,
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: should we cancel the date night because we feel like
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: shit having to leave, having to leave our little girl
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: and we.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: Can't date We can't cancel date night?
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Is this?
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: No, cannot cancel date night? This is big.
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: This is this is a pivotal night, not only for
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: date night, but this is a really big night just
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: in busting in general and for Jared, like, this is
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: a we have to go tonight, this is I have
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: to And it's.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: A tone setter for you guys.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: Twenty twenty six, as far as twenty four, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: tone setter in twenty six, she's incorporating getting getting a
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: date night in your bag, Yeah, and realize, hey, this
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: is good for us, Yes, but six months old, quick exit,
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: that is the right strategy. I if I'm assuming correctly,
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: I don't think she'll have a whole lot of separation anxiety.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: I don't think. So it's just you guys stepping out,
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: and then your guys a sadness as you leave.
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: This is how I picture it. Baby Bajorn is facing television.
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is rocking the.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: Manckey Mouse Clubhouse. She's got the O ball. That's her
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: favorite toy. Dude, shout up the O ball. Another another,
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: another must is what's her name?
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Julie?
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: Julia?
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Julia?
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Julia.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Sending a pick within ten minutes.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: Oh so when you leave and she's playing with a scarlet, Yeah,
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: gets a smiler, crack a smile. You cracked that photo. No,
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: she's you send it to Mam and dad. Mam and
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: dad now knows she's in good hands. She's having fun.
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: She's not the sadness that you might assume she's feeling
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: since you left the house isn't really, it's just your
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: own assumption, it's your own fear. Yeah, but you get
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: a photo within ten minutes of her having fun or
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: doing something, You're all said.
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: Game over.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: Game over and then Mom will probably want like a
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: photo check in, you know, every hour or so.
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: And I think Mom is looking forward to Jill's looking
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: forward to tonight more than I ever could, to be
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: completely honest. That's good because if you chalk it up,
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: we have had two proper date nights in the last
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: six months. I mean, my girl is looking to get
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: out of the house, as am I.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: So maybe eat the old shockwave tonight. Come on, I
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: might be two nights in a row.
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: Okay, I digress, I digress. Any Dad losses or anything.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: For you, sir, six am this morning.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: Hey, come on, man, look at us in twenty six.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: And the tone in twenty six.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: Damn man, congratulations, thank you. The trenches. Do you have
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: anything for the trenches? Do you have a crack a
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: cold one?
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: Oh?
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: Like my trenches was what I was talking about earlier
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: with the flu, the chaos, everything else.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: Scott's tilla hit.
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: I mean, it's just these are the stuff that's popping
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: up in parenthood for us right now. I know, like
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: when Charle and I we sit and reflect on twenty
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: twenty five and we look at twenty six. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: a lot of it for us is just we just
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: feel like, which I've explained on the pod before, we
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: feel like we just work in parent the whole time,
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: like finding you know, social life in twenty six and
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: more so not because we do a lot of We
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: do a lot of social stuff like with the kids,
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Like we get out of the house a lot, We
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: well on trips, we do the different things, but just
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: you know, friends, like just getting out having more time
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: for ourselves.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Yeah, figuring out how.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: Just we we maneuver that and kind of fit that
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: in because again we just we stay busy. Yeah, Charles
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: just dabbling in her mind. I know she stresses about
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: should I work less? Like she's very ambitious, She's like minded.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: She's kind of like minded, uh with myself in that
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: regard because I just think, man, there's always gonna everything
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: will be seasonal, there'll be pockets for enjoying, you know,
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: more freedom for ourselves. And she's never been during football season.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: It feels like it ramps up even more every year
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: when it comes to football season, which has which makes
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: us more intentional about whether we're doing date night or
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: staycation or stuff with the kids whatever that whatever that
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: may be. But I know those are like conversations. We
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: have to kind of keep us going. One thing that
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: fired me up is the other night, everybody's got their
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: twenty six New Year's resolutions, as far as routine and structure,
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: and you know, whether it's you want to win the morning,
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: you want to wake up earlier, you want to get
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: your U time in before the kids get up. We
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: want to get to better earlier. I want to read more,
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: want to be healthier, all of those things. But the
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: other night what got me juiced up is when I
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: was studying for busting. The next day, I'll stand up.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: I was up watching the Steelers Ravens game.
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: A little awesome, a little bit of also a little
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: bit of Lambman, absolute snooze fest.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Right now, Labman is the TV series.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: One more now? It sucks right now, Hey, one more
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: episode like that, Sheridan and Willie sees.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: I could be jumping ship. I could be jumping hip.
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: I just have to say this one word.
- 1:10:20Speaker 6: I had a buddy who came to me and told
- 1:10:22Speaker 6: me that lamb Man is basically just big old soap opera,
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: and to ruin the fucking show for me.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: I can't watch it.
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: It has become that and nobody gives if Taylor shared,
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: and I'm sure he tunes in, because like, nobody gives
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: a fuck about the old People song, They don't, no one.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: No one cares about the side story going on with
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: the daughter and the wife.
- 1:10:47Speaker 6: I'm not into Cooper's thing with you know, the the
- 1:10:52Speaker 6: girl either Tommy's son.
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: Yeah, neither am I Yeah, I don't give a ship
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: about that. Yeah, I care a little bit about.
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: I'm more interested in in his journey with the cart on,
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: his business, the cartel, the oil, the stuff where he's hit.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: He's six for six, all those things.
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: I want, oil and war, in negotiation and cartel. No
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: one's even died in this fucking season. No anybody, anybody
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: riding the chalk wave in this season? Has there been
- 1:11:19Speaker 6: any store.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: There's been some shockwave moments in the shockway.
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: The soap operas have shockwave.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: But the stuff you care about in Land, man, it's
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: just it only happens like five minutes an episode. The
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: rest is filler bullshit. You know, awesome soundtracks are just
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: showing what goes on in the oil fields and fucking
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: everything else. Dude, I'm telling you it's and I'm somebody.
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: I love this. I love this, like I want to
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: love the show Yellowstone until it got soap Op. You
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: love Tulsakings, love Tulsa King.
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: I love Paramount Plus TV series, especially from Taylor Sharder.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: But I'm just letting him know you're losing everybody.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you don't want to lose me.
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: Tell you a little a little something something that may
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: be the issue.
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: Taylor often Sheridan.
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: Taylor Sheridan often writes those scripts like the first season
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: will be primarily him, will be primarily him, and then
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: it gets handed well, you know, once it successfully launches,
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: that's then handed to a writer's room, so it's it's
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: executive produced by Taylor Sheridan. But like, once it's proven
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: its success, it's handed off.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: He's he's off to the next project.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Oh that's a bummer to hear. I didn't know that.
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: I didn't know that business one of the best sports
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: of television all of twenty twenty four, and.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: It was good. I'm on the Fallout. I'm in Fallout too.
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: I like Fallout so good.
- 1:12:45Speaker 6: Now Fallout show to talk about a show that's delivering
- 1:12:48Speaker 6: off a great season one, season two, I've been good.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: I derailed your story will go what.
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: Was my story because it got the rails, but I
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: don't remember what it was. I don't mind that I
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: forgot because I had to get it over watching the ravens. Oh,
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: juice me up. There we go, Thank you, chef, Thank
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: you chef. Charle comes up and she's like, uh, like,
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: what are you up to? She rarely comes up and
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: comes in the bonus room and everything else, like late
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: at night to say good night or going to bed.
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: She'll usually shoot me a message or she'll should still
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: be up when I'm done doing whatever I'm doing. That's
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: your dom, man. Yeah, it's usually it's it's really c's domain. Hey, sweetheart,
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: knock next time you're coming.
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: She goes over, gives me a kiss. I'm like, what
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: do you what are you up to? She's like, I'm
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: going to bed. And I look at my I look
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: at my watch. Check out the new garment that my
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: wife got me for Christmas. Shout out this Christmas gift.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: I love it, and shout out. And it was nine
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: oh four and I'm like, you're going to bed and
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: she's like, I'm doing it. I'm going to bed early,
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: I'm getting up. I'm getting up in the morning. And
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: I'm like, what what are you gonna do in the morning.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: She's like, I'm just gonna do something for myself. And
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: when she left, I gave her a kiss. She goes downstairs,
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: and as I'm sitting there for probably the next hour,
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: just every few minutes, it just comes back on my mind,
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: like this is it. This is where I need to
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: just buy in do something. My wife and I will
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: get to be like accountabill of buddies together because I
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: kind of need like it always feels like it's a
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: a one may mission that I always fail because I'll
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: stay up, I'll play video games, whatever it is to
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: where I justify something in my head to where I'm like, Okay,
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: I got to sleep in until the kids get up
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: with just seven o'clock, or I'll set the alarm for
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: six forty five once the kids will be up.
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: You sure you hear something on the monitor and you
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: kind of get going.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: But I'm like, dude, whenever I get done, do whenever
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: I'm doing, I need to go downstairs and go to bed,
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: and I'm going to join her and getting up early
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: in the morning because she wants to wake up at
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: six knock out whatever it is.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Before the kids get up.
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm just juiced up, like I'm like proud
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: of her and also fired up because I'm like, this
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: is this is this is what I feel like is
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: like a missing piece because I can't let her out
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: work me.
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: No, definitely not out do me. Definitely not.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: I can't be the one staying up late sleeping when
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: she's grinding whatever it is.
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: Can't let her out do me. The one thing that I.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: Will say about this industry that we work in is
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: the busy season is extremely busy for you in particular
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: as well. So I'm kind of speaking for myself, but
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: I'm sure i'm speaking for you too. But that meantime,
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: whatever that thing that you're gonna challenge yourself with or
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: hanging out, I'm looking to do the same thing this
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: year too, because I desperately need it, desperately desperately.
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: And knowing my wife's gonna be going to bed earlier,
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: just it just I don't know, it's something in the
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: back of my head like I need to get ready
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: and get in bed, get the amount of sleep she's
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: gonna be getting, wake up early in the morning. Like
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: just telling each other like hey, if I'm still sleeping
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: or vice neooze, and you see me still kind of
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: knocked out, like nudge me and tell me like, hey,
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: we're getting up.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Yeah, because we'll be doing our own thing.
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: But it's just like the thought of getting good, RESTful sleep,
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: thought of getting up early and doing our thing, kind
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: of winning our morning before we pour into getting.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: The kiddos up.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: Yeah, because I can make you know, sometimes when I'm
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: up early, I'm able to like make the lunch before
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: and so I can go upstairs whenever Ru's getting out
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: of bed versus waiting for him to come down, and
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: I'm in the case doing breakfast and getting trading and
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: everything else. But that juiced me up so massive, like
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: a massive win. I would say, a crack a cold one.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: So then I'm cracking a cold one too for twenty
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: six for the year.
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: Speaking of we got some big news with crack a
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: Cold one.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: Do yeah, And I might have alluded to it on
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: the last episode, but Ollipop is partnering with for the
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: Dads in twenty six.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: And that is that is a huge win.
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I've the excitement I got whenever our
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: team told us that Ollipop's coming in. They're coming in
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: the Busting universe, but a lot of the folkus like
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: a lot of the driving was like the for the
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: Dad's podcast. The excitement that I felt it reminded me
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: of the excitement I felt when we landed like our
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: first big one for busting with them. Really, Oh yeah, bro,
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: because this is one. I enjoy the product. The very
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: first time I put it out in the universe was
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: when I did one of my gas station runs after
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: bedtime and I was kind of ranking a few drinks.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Said grape, I put my I put my mouth on,
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: tasted it, and I'm like, one that's climbing the ladder
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: quickly is classic grape lollipop. Like I've had a couple
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: of the soda varieties before, but this one with the
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: flavor of grape was touching my tongue a little bit
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: differently to where I had to tweet about it. And
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: then from there, I want to say, we might have
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: talked about it on the show. We did something to
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: where we were talking about lollipop and then I tasted Chris Bapple.
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: Now I've tasted the watermelonline, I've tasted a variety of
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: lollipop to where it's kind of been a language on
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: our show with Papa Team six. We got pt sixers
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: out there that have posted about it, I made videos
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: about it, engage with us with it through comments or
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: in voicemails about it, to where it's become like a
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: thing on our show. And so the fact that something
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: we've I've personally enjoyed, that we've grown to love and
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: have incorporated in the show. Because when they came on
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: board with us, the Lollipop Rep was somebody that was
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: like a Nebraska fan. So they come and did a
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: They did so as you guys, to let you guys
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: know how some of this stuff works. The brain comes
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: in to do ad reads, to kind of do something like, hey,
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: let's do a two month d We'll do ad reads,
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: We'll see how everything goes, and then you'll kind of
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: go from there. Dip your toes if you will dip
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: your toes a trial run, Let's see how this works.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: And to now they're coming in as a partner of
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: twenty six with a bust with the boys at large
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: and a big focus being on for the dads.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Juice me up.
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: That's a gainer off the high dive. You're not dipping
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: your toes anymore.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: Because you always want to advertise for products and brands
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: that you use and that you also enjoy and love.
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: And so I am gassed. I'm gassed too about Ollipop
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: coming in from for the dads. We gotta get Ollipop.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: What is it?
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: Papa drink six, Ollipopa drink six. We got to get
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: something made in the Olipop universe. It has to happen,
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: because I posted my top three that's happening right now,
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: chrisp Apple, Watermelon line, and Classic Grape. People saying people
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: in the comments, classic Grape has just done the nose dice.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: It hasn't.
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: I love Classic Grape, but chrisp Apple and especially water
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: melon lime right now has been go to.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: For your boys.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: I have to do watermelon line because that's actually one
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: of our favorite summer treats that Jill and ideas will
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: buy a whole watermelon and we'll buy a bunch of
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: limes and we'll squeeze the lime juice on the water.
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: That's one of my favorite flavors out in the wh
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: So the fact that Ollipop is cooking up something like that,
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: talk to baby and.
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: For Papa Tea for everybody listening, Papa Ollipop doesn't even
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: have a read on today's episode. They're just gonna be
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: joining us for all twenty six. They're gonna be sponsoring
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: the Crack of Cold one segment in the future.
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: But yeah, we just love Oli. We gotta talk about it. Yeah,
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: we gotta talk about it. Talk about what's ollipop? What's
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: the Because I see a lot of people, heye, what
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: is it called ridge rush?
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: Yeah? How is that not in the top three?
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: I posted my top three ridge There are a lot
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: of ridge Rush fans out there.
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: But for people that are unfamiliar with ollipop, it's just
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: a great alternative. If you're a big soda drinker, yes,
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: two to five grams of sugar yep, nine grams of
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: pre buy fiber, good for your gut.
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: Great. And if you're.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: Somebody that your wife's on you about drinking water, do
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: this and that. Like I enjoy water, but I also
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: like different tastes. Yeah, I like tasting something different, and
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: alipop has been one of those drinks My go to
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: is when I want something different than water.
- 1:20:15Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: So again for people unfamiliar, not right, there's off the.
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: Top, and that's off the top.
- 1:20:20Speaker 4: I had a cream soda the other night, right, before bed,
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: and I cannot obviously did it taste great? Sumon, Yeah,
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: it tasted like fucking cream, soa it was a dream.
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: But the part that it separates Ollipop is like having
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: a soda before bed just makes me think, oh dude,
- 1:20:39Speaker 4: my god, I gonna have bubble guts. What am I
- 1:20:41Speaker 4: doing drinking a soda before bed, putting all this sugar.
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: In my putting this before bed, brother, it was like
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: I had a nice, clean, crisp glass of water right
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: before I got you know what I mean, like feeling
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: of it, but the taste of just the most buttery,
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: sugary cream soda imaginable. I was like, dude, Ollipop really
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: does it.
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: Got the flavor you're seeking, got the carbonation that's a
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: switch up from the water. And then again when you're done,
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: you just don't feel lethargic.
- 1:21:08Speaker 4: Yes, that we By the way, we just made zero
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: sins in the last uh and I'm talking since dollars
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: in the last however many minutes we've been talking about Ollipop.
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: We're just sick of about it. We're showing we're showing
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: our cars to Ollipop. We love you.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: We're so happy to sue Olli.
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: Ollipop and Team six.
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: I have a survival kit, just really quick before we
- 1:21:33Speaker 4: get into emails and calls.
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: I got a couple of dead hacks too, not that
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: they don't come from us, but I have one here
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: from Todd Gyles that I'm gonna share.
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: Good.
- 1:21:41Speaker 4: I My survival kit is just the Alexa dot And
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: I know that Amazon doesn't need my help, all right,
- 1:21:47Speaker 4: I get it, But I.
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: Am telling you do.
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: When I was making that dinner on Solo Saturday and
- 1:21:52Speaker 4: I got Scarlet in my hands, I need the stakes
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: got to come off in you know, forty five minutes, Alexa,
- 1:21:58Speaker 4: set timer for forty five minutes. Forty five minute time
- 1:22:01Speaker 4: or set veggies are coming out of the oven in
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: twenty minute. Alexa, set timer for twenty minutes. I make
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: Scarlett's bottle. She uses the uh one that's made with rice,
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: the what was it called formula that's made with rice,
- 1:22:15Speaker 4: Rice formula, Rice formula. It's got to sit for five
- 1:22:18Speaker 4: minutes after you make it. Alexa, set timer for five minutes.
- 1:22:22Speaker 4: And I know that all those timers are for the
- 1:22:24Speaker 4: different things. Man, I'm just like even my dad mentioned it.
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: He came in town for Christmas. He was like, I
- 1:22:31Speaker 4: gotta start using my Alexa Dot for the timer. That's
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: a great feature.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: I gotta start using it for that.
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: I was like, Dad, it is That's really the only
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: feature I use it for is at timers.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: Oh dude.
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: And it's just like it's probably so slept on because
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: a million and a half people already do that. But
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: if you are a Petsiko that already has an Alexa
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: Dot or a Google whatever, you know, whatever, you got,
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: start using that timer feature.
- 1:22:57Speaker 7: Dude.
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: It's just like it is a a game changer, but
- 1:23:01Speaker 4: it is a day saver, like it will save the
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: day for you.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Well said, thank you.
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: Here's a dad hack from from Todd Giles on Spotify. Boys,
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: I got a dad hack for all the soon to
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: be dads. So soon to be dad's listen up during pregnancy,
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: Choose a calm music album that you don't care listening
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: to a million times, and lay the phone on mom's
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: stomach often through pregnancy. Ours was Evermore by Taylor Swift.
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: Taylor Swift, great music, no matter what mood my six
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: month old is. In the second I play Willow by
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: Taylor Swift, she immediately calls Taylor Swift got us through
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: the holiday travel and sure beats Baby Shark Love What
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: y'all do?
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Pt?
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: Six Great great da great dad Hack. What was his name, Todd,
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: Todd Giles? Yeah, Todd, great dad Hack. Dude, get the kid.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: Why are we doing the baby shark? Why are we
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: doing all this stuff?
- 1:23:53Speaker 4: If we can get him on the adult music as
- 1:23:55Speaker 4: fast as poss especially t Swift.
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: Especially t Swift Charo over.
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: The Break was diving into that documentary by the way,
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: great little docu series.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: I watched some of it.
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: What was that? What was that on?
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: Is it Prime Disney? Okay, it's good, bro the.
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: Same, it's new. It just came out.
- 1:24:14Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, I'll watch that with Jill. She's not good Swifty,
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: but she's a fan obviously.
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: Same with Charles. She's not a swiftye, but she's like
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: a fan of Taylor Swift.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and just everything that goes into the new eras
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: towards it's it's a lot of behind the scenes stuff
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: with that. Yeah, shows happening, show's getting canceled because of
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: like terrorist type attacks. It's it's dat's it's a it's
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: like a you know, if you're a Taylor Swift fan,
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: but You're not like a Swift. You're not like in
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: all the in all the lore, everything that goes on
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: with Taylor Swift. You just you find a new respect
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: for the artist. I found a new respect.
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: This is like, I'm not trying to give some wishy
- 1:24:55Speaker 4: washing compliment to my boss. Like I found a new
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: respect for people Taylor Swift after seeing yours and Taylor's
- 1:25:02Speaker 4: schedule during football season, of like, if this is what
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: will and Taylor's schedule looks like? What does Tom Cruise's
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: schedule look like? What does Taylor Swift's schedule look like?
- 1:25:12Speaker 6: Like?
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: Dear Lord, that's got to be crazy. Stop stop it,
- 1:25:17Speaker 4: no by, but I do mean that. I do mean
- 1:25:20Speaker 4: it's crazy.
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: Impsen seventy eight on Instagram said what up, guys, Proud
- 1:25:26Speaker 3: Papa sick Proud Papa six member of two years. This
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: week we have tried to move from her drinking her
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: bottle from the nipple to a big girl cup. It's
- 1:25:38Speaker 3: been a struggle trying to get her to drink her
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: bottle and anything else. Any tips now. We also have
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: a crack of cole Win slash Dad Loss here. Specifically,
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: Tuesday night, my wife and I tried to give Oakley
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: a sippy cup and she had to melt down. While
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: we ended up giving in.
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: She sat down with me on the couch to calm
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: down and finish her bottle. I was watching the Tennis
- 1:26:00Speaker 4: versus Illinois Bowl game and Oakley started watching. When my
- 1:26:03Speaker 4: wife told my daughter it's time for bed, she said,
- 1:26:06Speaker 4: no football and pointed to the TV proud dad memo.
- 1:26:10Speaker 4: Luckily for me, it was less than a minute to
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: go in the game and I was able to quickly
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: put her down for bed. I appreciate you guys for
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: everything you do, and since seventy eight Instagram.
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: Let's go thank you for writing in thank you. What
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: was the thing they wanted?
- 1:26:26Speaker 4: Any tips over switching from a nipple bottle to sippy cup.
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: Making that transition.
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to say our cups like we have
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: like Scotti's one. She has the little two handed it's
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: got the little handles on the side.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: Yeah, rabit.
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: It's not like the nipple. It's like the flat nipple. Yeah,
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: she's on that. But when we transitioned to we've tried
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: a couple times, she's not there yet. But when we
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: transition to trying to like hold a cup and drink
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: we got the ones where the rim is like it's
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: all closed on top. Yeah, and they have to be
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: able to suck around the rim and if they suck
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: on the rim, like water will come out.
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: She's not developed to where she's getting the water out
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: yet because it's a little harder, yeah, because everything's kind
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: of like enclosed. But that was that was That's how
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: we started doing the transition from going nippleed to you know,
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: a different alternative.
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: And that's funny, dude, because Jill's already doing that unbeknownst
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: to me, because I noticed that she got this like
- 1:27:23Speaker 3: rubber fitting that goes on the doctor Brown bottles that.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's where it has handled it two handles. Yeah,
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: the two handles so they can like learn to grab
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: or just do other things and just like holding the bottle. Okay,
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: And now we're experimenting with that with that cup again,
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: it's like a cup, it's like a it's like a
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: flat top. Yeah, it's got the airways in it, yes,
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: but you have to tip the cup and you have
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: to suck from the rim, yeah, to kind of get
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: out get out the fluid.
- 1:27:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but Scotty's not she's not fully there.
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: Yet okay, cool, And yeah, Scotty's only what one in
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: two months?
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, months. Yeah, she's about to be one. Yeah,
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: she's about to be fourteen months okay cool.
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: Yeah, and he's on the twys is too, oak least
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: two years old, so like, yeah, you're getting there.
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just thinking what put their favorite drink and
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: whatever you're trying to get.
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: Them to enjoy.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: Yeah, but they could just be attached sometimes. The kiddos
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: they have, they have their their routine, the things that
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: they love.
- 1:28:20Speaker 3: Oh I'm sure, dude.
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: I don't feel like Scarlett's gonna be near as hard
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: to get the passy from as Rue was was harder. Yeah,
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: and Rue kind of went into two years old with
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: the passifiers with Tigy.
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: Scarlet also huge dad loss we have we've come to
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: where the magic Merlin there's no more sizes.
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: She's outground, that magic Merlin.
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: Yeah, brother, that thing's been such a godsend and.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: Now you're back in the trenches. We're back in the trenches.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: Something new.
- 1:28:51Speaker 3: Yeah, she's in the sleepsack and she's like doing cirducile,
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: like in the crib. It's crazy. She's doing flips, she's
- 1:28:57Speaker 3: doing twists.
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: An exciting moment where you kind of go back and
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: forth with whatever the drink is, like with whatever the
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: bottle style of the cup style is. If you catch
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: them in a good mood and you pretend to drink
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: and you're like, you go and see if they kind
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: of follow up.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: That could be helpful.
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: Yeah, the show, you know, Monkey see, Monkey do type thing.
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: I was asking Jill about that with solids and she
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: was like, no, that's exactly what you don't do. I
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: was like, oh, okay, well then, but fuck me, that's
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: perfect terrible idea voicemail.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: Let's get in a voicemail. Were run time we have

- 1:29:36Speaker 1: Man, already broke our first rule.
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: Already broke our first rule. We have Jeremy klump Uh,
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: director of Digital here at Busting with the boys.
- 1:29:47Speaker 4: He was going to the Zoo over the Christmas break.
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: Unbeknownst to them. It was the Crazy Zoo Christmas.
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: Light Night, which teas and peace for whatever about to
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: He kind of told me about it. I'm like, yo,
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: that seems like a shit show. It took like two
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: hours to get what a couple of miles. Yeah, and
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: then when he got there realized, oh it's all for
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: the zoo and you're walking in and everybody's shoulder to show.
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: Oh oh buddy, this is about to what you got

- 1:30:30Speaker 4: I have five different voicemails and they're all ranging from
- 1:30:33Speaker 4: about let's see a minute, so we got about five
- 1:30:39Speaker 4: minutes worth of content here. So let's let's buckle in.
- 1:30:42Speaker 4: Let's buckle in, let's get ready, and let's join Jeremy
- 1:30:46Speaker 4: on this wild ride. Yeah, thirty forty five.
- 1:30:49Speaker 7: Seconds, boys, boys, just giving you a call while we're
- 1:30:53Speaker 7: currently in it. We are zero point eight miles away
- 1:30:58Speaker 7: from the zoo. Zero point eight miles away from the zoo.
- 1:31:02Speaker 7: We have been stuck in traffic for one hour, zero
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: point eight miles away from the zoo. Don't know why,
- 1:31:08Speaker 7: but you know what, we're in it. There's people quitting,
- 1:31:10Speaker 7: there's dads turning their cars around, not going to the
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: zoo right now, not us, right kids?
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: Right? Yeah, we're having fun.
- 1:31:18Speaker 7: We're just sitting here, sitting in traffic. We're embracing the
- 1:31:21Speaker 7: suck right now. It's been fun and we're just trying
- 1:31:24Speaker 7: to change these kids' life lessons that sometimes you'll be
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: zero point eight miles away from the zoo to go
- 1:31:28Speaker 7: look at Christmas lights the week after Christmas. But hey,
- 1:31:32Speaker 7: that's life, that is life.
- 1:31:35Speaker 3: Love you boys.
- 1:31:38Speaker 5: What is the the time stamps on there? Yeah, are
- 1:31:42Speaker 5: the time he called us. So if you oh those
- 1:31:45Speaker 5: timestamps from the time that he called us, because it's
- 1:31:47Speaker 5: a journey.
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: Okay, that that just hit me and that makes us
- 1:31:52Speaker 4: even funnier. And first voicemail was at six to twenty.
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: Let's check back in thirty seven minutes later with Jeremy Klub.
- 1:32:00Speaker 7: Boys, boys, you're probably wondering, didn't you just call like
- 1:32:03Speaker 7: thirty seven minutes ago.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: You're still not.
- 1:32:05Speaker 7: At the zoo.
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: No, no, we are not at the.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: Zoo, boys, We are in it.
- 1:32:10Speaker 7: We currently stopped at a gas station because the kids
- 1:32:12Speaker 7: had to pee. We still got about ten minutes to
- 1:32:14Speaker 7: the zoo. We've been in the car for two hours.
- 1:32:17Speaker 7: Two hours, boys, and hey, that's what it's all about, right,
- 1:32:21Speaker 7: having fun going to see.
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: Some Christmas lights.
- 1:32:25Speaker 7: Man we're in it right now. And you know what,
- 1:32:28Speaker 7: these are the best of the worst times, the worst
- 1:32:30Speaker 7: of the best times.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: Love you boys, have fun.
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: Good, good good. This is two minutes later.
- 1:32:39Speaker 7: Boys, I thought i'd give one more call because we
- 1:32:41Speaker 7: got a special guest here.
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: JJ. Say what's up. We have been like stuck in
- 1:32:46Speaker 3: for traffic like forever and it was just like so
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: far away and there's like people like taking forever, take
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: in forever.
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: Hey, but we're having fun, right oh yeah.
- 1:32:56Speaker 8: Oh yeah, so much travel by This is great, right, Hey,
- 1:33:06Speaker 8: love you boys.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: We're having fun.
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. Four minutes later.
- 1:33:14Speaker 7: All right, boys, we're calling back one more time. We
- 1:33:16Speaker 7: are zero point five miles away from the zoo. Back
- 1:33:19Speaker 7: in the car on the road. Everyone went to the bathroom.
- 1:33:22Speaker 7: We are it says ten minutes. We are ten minutes
- 1:33:25Speaker 7: away from a two hour trip to the zoo. That
- 1:33:31Speaker 7: is real authentic reactions. Yeah, bro still yeah, crazy, but
- 1:33:38Speaker 7: we're all having fun, right right, kids, We're trying.
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: We're having so much fun.
- 1:33:46Speaker 7: Boys. We are almost at the zoo, and hey, love you.
- 1:33:51Speaker 7: Say bye, guys. We'll call you in thirty minutes when
- 1:33:55Speaker 7: we're still not there.
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: See you, boys. Final call this is fourteen minutes later.
- 1:34:03Speaker 7: All right, boys, listen, we got to the zoo entrance.
- 1:34:07Speaker 7: We just found out that this traffic is actually for
- 1:34:10Speaker 7: the zoo. We got people walking into the zoo a
- 1:34:14Speaker 7: little fearful. There's no parking spots, but we're gonna make
- 1:34:16Speaker 7: it work. We are currently in the entrance. Everyone having fun.
- 1:34:19Speaker 7: Still yeah, no, no, but we are.
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: We are having the time of our lives. As we said,
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: we're almost there.
- 1:34:29Speaker 7: We're about to make a right into the entrance, but
- 1:34:32Speaker 7: we are not in the parking lot yet.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: This is fun.
- 1:34:35Speaker 7: Two hours in eighteen minutes. We're at right now on
- 1:34:37Speaker 7: our drive to the zoo. We live less than thirty
- 1:34:40Speaker 7: minutes away from the zoo.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: Let that be known.
- 1:34:42Speaker 3: But we are almost there.
- 1:34:44Speaker 7: We got traffic both ways entering the zoo.
- 1:34:46Speaker 3: This is fun.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: Have a good night.
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: We'll let you know.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: Hopefully there's parking.
- 1:34:50Speaker 3: Oh god, but I bet parking was a whole other
- 1:34:52Speaker 3: ba nightmare.
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: He said it was packed, bro. He said he's walking
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: to do the lights, and it was like shoulder to shoulder,
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: like you were in of a club, like a late
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: night club.
- 1:35:02Speaker 4: The best part that he told me was that the
- 1:35:05Speaker 4: in laws, her parents Lindsay's parents left early enough to
- 1:35:11Speaker 4: not hit the traffic, so they had to wait two
- 1:35:14Speaker 4: hours for Jeremy and Lindsay and the kids to show up.
- 1:35:18Speaker 4: And then the park was so crowded they couldn't even
- 1:35:21Speaker 4: find them.
- 1:35:22Speaker 3: Couldn't even find.
- 1:35:23Speaker 4: Them, no self reception, couldn't find the kiddos, and they
- 1:35:27Speaker 4: just called it quits, and we're like, we're out of here.
- 1:35:30Speaker 3: Good this is crazy, good Man, that sounds brutal. I'm
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: sure there are so many, so many moms and dads
- 1:35:39Speaker 3: having PTSD right now with just any type of.
- 1:35:43Speaker 5: He texted us too, and he's like, yeah, I don't
- 1:35:45Speaker 5: know what this traffic's for. And I didn't have the
- 1:35:46Speaker 5: heart to text back. It's for the zoo.
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: For the zoo.
- 1:35:49Speaker 5: He thought there was like an accident or something. He's like,
- 1:35:51Speaker 5: these guys are turning around, they don't get it. It
- 1:35:53Speaker 5: was for the zoo.
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: I live off of Nolansville Pike. I'm like here in
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: this area.
- 1:35:58Speaker 4: So it is when summer hits and they start doing
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: those summer kid day whatever, Like the traffic's crazy even then.
- 1:36:07Speaker 4: So I can only imagine he probably could have parked
- 1:36:10Speaker 4: at my house, walked from my house to the zoo
- 1:36:13Speaker 4: and he would have beat going and doing it in
- 1:36:16Speaker 4: the car.
- 1:36:17Speaker 3: Easy easy.
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: Gotta love Jimmy Chloe.
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: Congrats on baby number three. Grats, congrats on baby number three.
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: That's gonna be so much fun. By the way, baby
- 1:36:26Speaker 2: number three shouts him.
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: Though, for keeping the kid's spirits up.
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: Sure, it's very hard. I'm sure there's moments we didn't
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: hear about. Oh yeah, we didn't hear on the voicemail
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: shouts to him for keeping the vibes up, shouts out
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: or even using using weaponizing. Hey, we're gonna call it
- 1:36:39Speaker 2: for the dads. Yeah, yeah, we're gonna call again. You
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: know what I mean, Like, let's get hyped.
- 1:36:43Speaker 4: Oh yeah, also huge dad hack from the Clumps. They
- 1:36:46Speaker 4: have this wagon that they use for their youngest Brady.
- 1:36:50Speaker 3: Yeah that thing, dude, that thing looks awesome and the
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: kids love it.
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:36:55Speaker 4: JJ's kind of at an age where like he's old
- 1:36:57Speaker 4: enough to where he's like, hey, I don't really need
- 1:36:59Speaker 4: the wagon, but he'll get tired and be like, hey,
- 1:37:02Speaker 4: you know why I might popp into the wild.
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: Let you get into the wagon, pull me around.
- 1:37:05Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, this I just rereading this text chain between.
- 1:37:09Speaker 6: It's all the producing guys in Jeremy in there, and
- 1:37:12Speaker 6: it's uh rumors from the gas station crowd. The traffic
- 1:37:15Speaker 6: is for the zoo. This would be devastating, Bellman, if true.
- 1:37:18Speaker 6: This is like, let me see that was a oh
- 1:37:23Speaker 6: the swipeover? That was a seven O eight seven seven eleven? Boys,
- 1:37:29Speaker 6: is there something happening.
- 1:37:30Speaker 3: At the zoo? Six months later?
- 1:37:33Speaker 6: Traffic is to get to the zoo code red, code red, boys,
- 1:37:36Speaker 6: code fucking red and all casts.
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: And then we made it, No, turned a shitty situation
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: into a fun one.
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: He sure did.
- 1:37:45Speaker 2: That's when you just you got in Brady. You gottaccept
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: if you're going to remain going to the zoo, you
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: just start laughing. You start laughing. It's part of the journey.
- 1:37:53Speaker 3: Yeah, well done, well done, well done. I have emails.
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: Do you have emails?
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: I have?
- 1:38:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I can jump into my first one. This one
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: is from Brayden Mote. Braiden writes in, so let's.
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: Let's do one each. Let's do one each. This would
- 1:38:12Speaker 3: be my le gotta keep it under an hour. I'll
- 1:38:15Speaker 3: speed read as well.
- 1:38:16Speaker 4: Braidon says, what up, boys, It's Braiden from California, listener
- 1:38:19Speaker 4: from day one of for the Dad's and proud member
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: of PT six at twenty five years old, so are
- 1:38:25Speaker 4: almost six month old Scottie May. But boys, did I
- 1:38:29Speaker 4: have a dad loss. It's first thing in the morning
- 1:38:31Speaker 4: and baby's got a full diaper.
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: Good and guess.
- 1:38:34Speaker 4: Who has to change it since Mom's getting ready to
- 1:38:37Speaker 4: leave the house for an appointment.
- 1:38:39Speaker 3: Good doing my thing and getting the diaper off.
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: And I set the shit filled diaper somewhere I probably
- 1:38:44Speaker 4: shouldn't have, and as soon as I did, it rolled
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: over and it hit the top of her head. Good
- 1:38:52Speaker 4: God almighty, get her wiped up and then run her
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: over to the bath to clean her all up and
- 1:38:57Speaker 4: wash her head three times.
- 1:38:59Speaker 3: Boys, what a dad lost early day bath? Good? But
- 1:39:02Speaker 3: enough about me.
- 1:39:03Speaker 4: I wanted to give a birthday shout out to a
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: Milk Team six or aka my beautiful and wonderful fiance
- 1:39:09Speaker 4: and the best mama to our baby girl. Happy birthday, sweetheart.

- 1:39:15Speaker 4: lucky to have you and make the house a home.

- 1:39:27Speaker 3: magical as you. Brandon Mote.
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: That's sweet, Braiden.
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: Let's go break like that.
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: Just people using using the show to get a message
- 1:39:38Speaker 2: to their significant other, Yeah, to their partner in crime.
- 1:39:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: Enjoyed the shockwave, Brad, enjoy the shockwave. New birthday, You
- 1:39:45Speaker 3: earned it. You earned it, big dog.
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: I got one here from a Jason Quirk. Hey, guys,
- 1:39:52Speaker 2: new listener here. My wife is halfway through pregnancy with
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: our first child, a baby boy. Congratulations to you both.
- 1:39:58Speaker 2: And I just started listening for the Dads a few
- 1:40:01Speaker 2: weeks ago. It has quickly become my favorite podcast, and
- 1:40:04Speaker 2: I really appreciate what you're doing in the honesty you
- 1:40:06Speaker 2: guys bring to conversations. I had a question that I
- 1:40:08Speaker 2: think you'd have valuable insight on. I'm a retired professional
- 1:40:13Speaker 2: boxer and boxing was a huge part of my life
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: for almost twenty years. Like a lot of former athletes,
- 1:40:18Speaker 2: I always envisioned myself teaching my son to box one day,
- 1:40:21Speaker 2: hoping he might follow in my footsteps. Boxing taught me confidence, discipline,
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: and how to enjoy the suck. It showed me that
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: no matter what life throws at you, you can push
- 1:40:30Speaker 2: through adversity and come out the other side, come out
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: better on the other side. Now that I'm almost thirty
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: seven and becoming a father, I find myself wrestling with
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: something I never really questioned before. Whether the lessons and
- 1:40:41Speaker 2: accomplishments I gained from boxing outweigh the long term risks,
- 1:40:45Speaker 2: especially concussions, will as a former professional athlete, ensure him
- 1:40:49Speaker 2: as a new dad. How do you guys feel about
- 1:40:52Speaker 2: your kids playing contact sports? How do I balance wanting
- 1:40:55Speaker 2: my son to be tough, confident, and resilient, able to
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: handle adversity, while all wanting to protect them and keep
- 1:41:01Speaker 2: them safe. I'd really really appreciate hearing your thoughts. Thanks
- 1:41:05Speaker 2: again for the show and everything you guys do. Jason,
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: thank you for writing in, my friend. That's a great question.
- 1:41:12Speaker 3: Great question one that I feel like you are more
- 1:41:16Speaker 3: like tailored to answer.
- 1:41:17Speaker 2: But I'll I'll chime in, uh man, honestly, like it
- 1:41:22Speaker 2: hasn't since I have two daughters. It was a question
- 1:41:25Speaker 2: I guess I thought about maybe before fatherhood, if I
- 1:41:29Speaker 2: were to have a son like Charle and I we
- 1:41:30Speaker 2: are the conversations are you know about number three? You know,
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: pouring in and trying to get a third. And again
- 1:41:38Speaker 2: I don't have a son, so it hasn't been something
- 1:41:41Speaker 2: that I sit there and and have wrestled with the
- 1:41:43Speaker 2: way it seems like Jason is doing.
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: But it's a great question.
- 1:41:46Speaker 2: You know, come playing a physical sport the way football
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: is kind of trended with concussions, and you know when
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: you should play tackle football and it should you.
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: Hold your son out until a certain age.
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: In I think for me, all the stuff that he
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: sits there and talks about, where he says confidence, discipline,
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: how to enjoy the suck, there is no substitute for
- 1:42:11Speaker 2: learning those lessons in my opinion. Oh my god, I
- 1:42:14Speaker 2: thought somebody was ripping.
- 1:42:16Speaker 3: Ass on that game. That was if anybody heard that
- 1:42:18Speaker 3: in the background.
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: That was the longest muffler came by, and I thought
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: chef was back there ripping a fart in the middle
- 1:42:23Speaker 2: of this answer. I think for me, knowing what football
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: gave to me and what football taught me, I would
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: very much be aware and have you know, empathy. I
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: guess on the physicality at a younger age, like if
- 1:42:43Speaker 2: my kid wasn't tough, I just I just know certain
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: things will come through, whether it's the right teachings, having
- 1:42:49Speaker 2: the right conversations with him, seeing him.
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: Grow in the sport of football.
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: But if this was a dude who watched football with
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: me growing up and wanted to play football, I might
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: be methodical about when he would start tap football.
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: But if he wanted to play.
- 1:43:01Speaker 2: A sport that I loved and I know has given
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: me so much throughout my life, and even in the
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: back end where I think about, you know, the brain damage,
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: the stuff that is now coming out about brain damage,
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: and seeing guys age and seeing you know, guys either
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: spiral or go downhill, and those are things that I
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: worry about, But I also think to myself, like I
- 1:43:22Speaker 2: would not if I could go back in time and
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: do it over again, I would do absolutely nothing differently
- 1:43:27Speaker 2: with the way my mom and dad kind of raised me,
- 1:43:29Speaker 2: with the way I learned learned the lessons through physical
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: sports and through sports and football in particular because it's
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: such a team game. Like my brother Cody, he grew
- 1:43:38Speaker 2: up he was a massive wrestler. I grew up wrestling
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: until you know, I stopped wrestling, like in high school.
- 1:43:45Speaker 2: But there's just lessons that there is no substitute for
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: that you get through sports, through competition, through you're the
- 1:43:52Speaker 2: man in the arena, whether you're on a team sport
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: or an individual sport, like you win and lose as
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: a team, and then if you're in an individual sport,
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: it's all on you.
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: So when you go out.
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: There, put the ankle, bracelet on, whatever it is, the
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: color trunks, the gloves you got. The result will always
- 1:44:06Speaker 2: be what you sit there and reflect on. And there's
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: all There's so many lessons that come in sport and
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: in competition that I wouldn't shy away from my kids
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: playing sports. Like if I had a boy, I wouldn't
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: shy away from him playing football or tackle football. I
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: might think about when he would start or how long
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: he might play flag. But again, there is just absolutely
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: no substitute for what you learn through sports. I think sports,
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: and again I'm biased, but I think sports is the
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: best teacher for life because you're around so many different
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: You're around a melting pot of attitudes, of cultures, of
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: just people that are different than you, people that have
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: different skills, sets, sizes, everything, speed, and you learn so
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: many valuable lessons within the game. Yeah, so him wrestling
- 1:44:57Speaker 2: with the idea of boxing. Boxing is striking sport, there's
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: I feel like a lot more that you see the
- 1:45:03Speaker 2: residual effects of something like boxing. For sure, tour you
- 1:45:06Speaker 2: can still implement your kid in boxing. Yeah, but maybe
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: there's a conversation where we'll work it to this point.
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: Maybe when you become of age and you decide if
- 1:45:15Speaker 2: this is a route you want to go on your own,
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: you can do it on your own.
- 1:45:17Speaker 3: You're not necessarily pushing that on them.
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: Yeah, But as far as sporing, as far as training,
- 1:45:21Speaker 2: as far as like you know, getting into things with
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: headgear and everything like that, I don't know enough about boxing.
- 1:45:26Speaker 4: And all amateur to your exact point. All amateur boxing
- 1:45:30Speaker 4: is going to have headgear, and it's going to have
- 1:45:32Speaker 4: very very high ounce gloves like so the amateur stuff.
- 1:45:38Speaker 4: I feel like there there are a lot of safety
- 1:45:40Speaker 4: precautions built in.
- 1:45:41Speaker 6: I would ask you, as someone who's played all levels
- 1:45:45Speaker 6: of football, do.
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: You think that the risk to kids?
- 1:45:48Speaker 6: And I know we're not talking to any scientists, but
- 1:45:50Speaker 6: a lot of kids won't make it past high school.
- 1:45:52Speaker 6: That's just the nature of like the game. Do you
- 1:45:54Speaker 6: think that there's any risk up until high school? Like course,
- 1:45:57Speaker 6: there's risk anytime you're playing a contact sport. But isn't that,
- 1:46:00Speaker 6: like the head injury stuff a lot more prevalent when
- 1:46:03Speaker 6: you start making it to these really high levels of
- 1:46:05Speaker 6: football where you're playing for a long long period of time.
- 1:46:09Speaker 6: If if there's anything to that, have you noticed, like
- 1:46:12Speaker 6: when you play like going from high school, it's a.
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: Way more violent game at each stage for sure, But
- 1:46:18Speaker 2: I want to say, there's research that comes out about
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: even high school football players.
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: That's why I was just more curious than trying to
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: make and even are are you asking? Are you asking them.
- 1:46:26Speaker 6: From a risk standpoint of someone who's played at every
- 1:46:29Speaker 6: level like you, would you worry about it all like
- 1:46:32Speaker 6: your kid playing up until let's say they only played
- 1:46:34Speaker 6: until high school. I'm sure if you had a son,
- 1:46:37Speaker 6: he would be a beast of an athlete and make
- 1:46:39Speaker 6: it to the highest level, just like his dad. But
- 1:46:41Speaker 6: let's say if there's a world where he only plays
- 1:46:43Speaker 6: to high school, would you be beyond the like at
- 1:46:47Speaker 6: the worry of oh, a freak accident or something you
- 1:46:50Speaker 6: know that very small chance happens, would you be really concerned.
- 1:46:59Speaker 3: Concern with him playing if he only played high school football.
- 1:47:03Speaker 6: Let's just say he made it up to high school
- 1:47:04Speaker 6: and didn't go any like because every just from what
- 1:47:07Speaker 6: I've seen, I figured it's a lot more, like the
- 1:47:09Speaker 6: risk goes a lot higher when you start making college
- 1:47:12Speaker 6: and then.
- 1:47:12Speaker 2: You're playing beyond high school. Yeah, for sure, because it's
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: it's it gets a lot more. I mean, it's the
- 1:47:18Speaker 2: more you get to the NFL, the more you're just
- 1:47:20Speaker 2: having You're closer to being a grown man, and the
- 1:47:23Speaker 2: speed and strength and size at each level obviously gets
- 1:47:27Speaker 2: it gets bigger. I think if I'm here in your question,
- 1:47:33Speaker 2: he's just making it like, am I Is there a
- 1:47:36Speaker 2: risk factor when he's playing high school football?
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:47:38Speaker 6: Would you be concerned at all outside of the one
- 1:47:41Speaker 6: off crazy incident like that you pray you never see
- 1:47:45Speaker 6: in that sport, but like just in general, you know, freak.
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: Accidents happened all the time.
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: I think, no matter what, if you're playing a physical
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: game like football, a hockey, any any physical sport, there's
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: always freak accident situations that happen. That's like, thinking of
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: that situation happening, they wouldn't lead my decision making, especially
- 1:48:03Speaker 2: if my son loved the sport or if like if
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: he wanted to play, like I wouldn't be the dad
- 1:48:07Speaker 2: that's pushing football on him. I would hope to mold
- 1:48:10Speaker 2: that he might enjoy football and see it kind of
- 1:48:13Speaker 2: the way I do and the fun that it always
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: brought me playing in Little League and everything else.
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: But no, I would.
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: It wouldn't like it wouldn't lead my decision making, just
- 1:48:24Speaker 2: because again I grew up in it, Like it's it's
- 1:48:26Speaker 2: a sport that I like, love dearly, and I think
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: the world of football.
- 1:48:32Speaker 6: I asked that to ask like, maybe if there's parents
- 1:48:35Speaker 6: out there who are thinking about that or they never played,
- 1:48:38Speaker 6: or you know, their kid wants to play and they're
- 1:48:40Speaker 6: worried about serious head injury. As someone who's played the
- 1:48:42Speaker 6: sport at all levels, like that's something that you could
- 1:48:45Speaker 6: attest to where it's like I wouldn't you know, I
- 1:48:48Speaker 6: would you know.
- 1:48:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think there's a wrong way to think
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: about it.
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: Like if somebody out of the fear or the risk
- 1:48:54Speaker 2: that comes with football and they keep their kid out,
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: I think there's no right way to go about it.
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: I think that's their own prerogative and the own decision
- 1:49:00Speaker 2: that they make. I'm not saying they're wrong for thinking
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: that way. Some take that small risk chance and think
- 1:49:05Speaker 2: of the worst case scenario, and then they just think like, hey,
- 1:49:08Speaker 2: it's not this wouldn't be worth it. I don't want
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: this happening. Yeah, and again it's just not. I just
- 1:49:14Speaker 2: my world, in my view of it is is different,
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: which is okay.
- 1:49:21Speaker 4: Well, and like the I think the main takeaway that
- 1:49:25Speaker 4: you said is the pros outweigh the cons and the
- 1:49:30Speaker 4: lessons that they will learn from any team sport and
- 1:49:32Speaker 4: freak if we're just talking freak accidents and injuries that
- 1:49:36Speaker 4: happens in any sport.
- 1:49:37Speaker 3: I had a kid break like you freak accent driving
- 1:49:40Speaker 3: the car a car.
- 1:49:41Speaker 4: Yes, there was a kin arn team that broke like
- 1:49:43Speaker 4: fifteen bones in his face in a soccer game, and
- 1:49:47Speaker 4: like it, crazy shit happens. All the stuff that you
- 1:49:51Speaker 4: learned from playing team sports or from pee wee level
- 1:49:54Speaker 4: to middle school to whatever.
- 1:49:56Speaker 3: I couldn't agree more.
- 1:49:58Speaker 4: Some of my favorite memories and some of my best
- 1:50:00Speaker 4: life lessons come from the sports that I grew up playing.
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: So you look back and your your you're happy whenever
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: you know when my parents made me wrestle in high
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: school my junior year.
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: Yes, and just again.
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: Some of the lessons that you learn in sports, Like
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: I wanted to be good at football. I wanted to
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: do what it takes to make it to uh each
- 1:50:24Speaker 2: next level. I wondered when I was in high school,
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: I wanted to be the kid that you know came
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: out of eighth grade. When I was a freshman, I
- 1:50:30Speaker 2: wanted to play varsity.
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: And I wanted to I wanted to play at that level.
- 1:50:35Speaker 2: So I would ask questions or I would learn from
- 1:50:37Speaker 2: coaches or the people around me on what it took
- 1:50:39Speaker 2: and some of those things like you don't want to do.
- 1:50:41Speaker 2: It's like the sacrifice you make when you're waking up
- 1:50:45Speaker 2: early in the morning at summertime and the boys are
- 1:50:47Speaker 2: staying up late and hanging out and playing video games.
- 1:50:50Speaker 2: Sometimes you partaking it, but then you're waking up at
- 1:50:51Speaker 2: six am the next day to go into your summer
- 1:50:53Speaker 2: workouts with football, and you're around the crew, You're around influence,
- 1:50:56Speaker 2: you're around people who are better than you.
- 1:50:59Speaker 3: Or people that want to make you better.
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: Yeah, people that want to make you better, and you're
- 1:51:03Speaker 2: stacking days and you learn over time. Like Nick saban Is,
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: he's been I feel like he's the one who's coined
- 1:51:10Speaker 2: the term.
- 1:51:10Speaker 1: It takes what it takes.
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and you just learn those fundamental values as you
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: get older. Yes, like when I was, you know, in
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: high school first making the switch from white bread to
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: wheat bread. But either way, then you learn about how
- 1:51:21Speaker 2: to read a label and if it's in reached enriched
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: bleach flour, you're like, oh, it's not even the fact
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: of going white bread and wheat bread. I can't have
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: the enriched bleached flower That's how you learn about, Yeah,
- 1:51:32Speaker 2: it's not good bread. And then you learn that all
- 1:51:33Speaker 2: these other all these other breads out there, they're not
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: even that good for you.
- 1:51:36Speaker 3: It's soured ough bread. Oh, the gluten free bread.
- 1:51:38Speaker 2: You just you continue to learn stuff, yes, throughout time
- 1:51:41Speaker 2: that you're curious about because you want to you want
- 1:51:44Speaker 2: to dial in everything through discipline and work ethic and
- 1:51:47Speaker 2: what's the one percent better that I can get this year?
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: And I feel like those are things that sports teach
- 1:51:52Speaker 2: you when you want to be good at sports.
- 1:51:54Speaker 4: Couldn't agree more any team mentality type activity.
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: Rather it's sports.
- 1:52:00Speaker 4: A scholastic team, like debate or theater, whatever, Like when
- 1:52:04Speaker 4: you're in a team environment. I think that's some of
- 1:52:07Speaker 4: the best life lessons come out of that. So anything
- 1:52:10Speaker 4: that's pro that I'm pre that.
- 1:52:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it's actually and Jason appreciate the email and that question.
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: It's gonna be a question now that I think about
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: and rack through my brain probably the next week or so,
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: I can I can always come back with a better
- 1:52:24Speaker 2: answer because that is I know a lot of parents think.
- 1:52:27Speaker 3: About that stuff. Yeah, absolutely, so.
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: As a conversation like, hey, if if you had a son,
- 1:52:31Speaker 2: like when would you allow him to play tackle football?
- 1:52:33Speaker 2: And just in my brain, I'm just like, as soon
- 1:52:35Speaker 2: as he can play tackle football. The older I get,
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: the more I think about it. Now that I have kids,
- 1:52:39Speaker 2: now that I'm getting older and getting more I guess
- 1:52:41Speaker 2: rational or thinking about those risks and things that come
- 1:52:44Speaker 2: with it a little bit more. But no matter what,
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: I just always default to there is no substitute for
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: what sports can teach you. Yeah, for life, for social skills,
- 1:52:57Speaker 2: for discipline, hard work, just what it takes. Hey, you
- 1:53:01Speaker 2: want to make that team, this is what it's gonna take.
- 1:53:04Speaker 2: You're not as good as the other kids. Here are
- 1:53:06Speaker 2: the things that you're gonna have to work on. There's
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: a different win that's going to at at that kid's sale,
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: the wind might not blow as hard because genetically he's
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: more gifted than you.
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: That's okay. But if you want.
- 1:53:16Speaker 2: To be if you want to make the team, if
- 1:53:18Speaker 2: you want to start on varsity, if you want to
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: make the JV team, you want to make the go
- 1:53:22Speaker 2: whatever it is, there's so many stories that you're able
- 1:53:24Speaker 2: to pull, whether it's the Michael Jordan when he didn't
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: make his basketball.
- 1:53:27Speaker 3: Team or you throwing a Rocky Balboa movie.
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: Rocky bow Boy.
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: There's just so much good storytelling and so many life
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: lessons hies you can learn just by accepting whatever your
- 1:53:38Speaker 2: reality is and figuring out, this is the way I'm
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: going to have to work if I want to get
- 1:53:41Speaker 2: to X, if I want to get to this point
- 1:53:43Speaker 2: in life, and not worrying about the comparables and everything else.
- 1:53:47Speaker 2: And it helps you narrow your focus and hone in
- 1:53:49Speaker 2: on things. And then whether you get there, you fail,
- 1:53:51Speaker 2: you hit the result or the goal that you wanted
- 1:53:53Speaker 2: or you did, and everything you learn fundamentally along the way,
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: you know you're gonna have to fall back on those
- 1:53:58Speaker 2: fundamentals to get whatever whatever the next thing is. Whenever
- 1:54:01Speaker 2: you do come up short and fail or whenever you
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: do maximize or say hit your goal, it's always going
- 1:54:05Speaker 2: to be a new goal that you try and attain to,
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: and then you're gonna go off the lessons you learned from.
- 1:54:09Speaker 3: Hey, coach is right. Mom and dad were right. This
- 1:54:12Speaker 3: influence in my life was right.
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: I'm really glad I skipped this and chose to do
- 1:54:16Speaker 2: this instead. Now that I look back, I'm very grateful
- 1:54:18Speaker 2: and appreciative for the sacrifices I made to get to
- 1:54:21Speaker 2: this point. If I go back and change something a
- 1:54:23Speaker 2: little bit different, at this point in time, I now
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: know that valuable lesson on the next kid that I'm
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: talking to and can now give that give that feedback
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: to him on hey, learn from me, be better than me.
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: So parents think when they're coming up with their kids,
- 1:54:34Speaker 2: they want them to be better versions of themselves, and
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: so they always pull them from these experiences or examples
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: from where they fell in life or where they didn't
- 1:54:43Speaker 2: do well in life, or maybe they.
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: Had success in life.
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: And you got to figure out some way to where
- 1:54:47Speaker 2: you don't come off as a know it all parent,
- 1:54:49Speaker 2: but find a way to communicate with your kid like
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: they might be able to retain this the same way
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: I do. Or you're going into parent Hey, hey, do
- 1:54:56Speaker 2: I think I'm going to be a good dad, because man,
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: I had a shit household grown up and no disrespect
- 1:55:00Speaker 2: to my mom and dad out there or my dad
- 1:55:01Speaker 2: whoever raised me. Who knows if I have the tools
- 1:55:04Speaker 2: necessary to be a successful parent or be a parent
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: that I would want to be in life? Well, step one,
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: you know what you don't want to be, which is
- 1:55:12Speaker 2: a great starting point. So you'll be able to pull
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: from all of those lessons and then when the time comes,
- 1:55:17Speaker 2: you'll be able to again teach, teach downward, teach the
- 1:55:20Speaker 2: next generation, teach the next group. Pick everybody's brain around
