Kentucky’s skies are about to light up with a dazzling double meteor shower this month — the Alpha Capricornids and Southern Delta Aquariids. The Alpha Capricornids, known for their fiery, bright streaks, kick off July 3rd and peak July 30th, while the Delta Aquariids join in July 31st and last until August 23rd. When they overlap, you could see up to 30 meteors per hour — though the full moon on July 29th may dim the fainter ones, bright fireballs will still blaze through.
