• 4:26
Speaker 1: Hey, jeff, boom Boom, how's it going?
• 4:30
Speaker 1: Yeah, damaged wire made that go off.
• 4:32
Speaker 1: He needs a new cable.

• 5:20
Speaker 1: Well, got that, mr Mars?
• 5:23
Speaker 1: Yes, sir, is that the guy that we talked to from IX Exotics before the guy there in the black shirt we may have?
• 5:31
Speaker 1: Why don't you go over there and see if you can't wrangle one of those guys?
• 5:34
Speaker 1: Because you know it's a real shame.
• 5:36
Speaker 1: They've got some interesting stuff in their display and I think that we should go get one of their spokespeople over here.
• 5:44
Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go, and we want to talk to them because they're right across the way.

• 6:17
Speaker 1: So I was going to say that this Ferrari that's right across from us here, it's painted gold.
• 6:23
Speaker 1: Now, to me, a Ferrari should be red, all Ferraris should be red.
• 6:30
Speaker 1: Well, I'm just saying for me, because I'm old school no, not black, not gold, should be red.
• 6:35
Speaker 1: Well, I'm just saying for me because I'm old school, no, not black, not gold.
• 6:37
Speaker 2: But that gold on that ferrari, oh, that's bad to the bone yeah so it needs an in-wheel time eyebrow on the top that's exactly what it needs.
• 6:49
Speaker 1: Uh, so, uh, there is.
• 6:52
Speaker 1: Is that a lamborg over there?
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: The purple one?
• 6:54
Speaker 2: It looks kind of like one.
• 6:56
Speaker 2: Yes, or is that a Ford?
• 6:57
  Speaker 2: No, it's a Lambo.
• 6:58
Speaker 1: It is a Lambo Purple.
• 7:00
Speaker 1: And then we have the Porsche, and all of these cars are pretty cool.
• 7:06
Speaker 1: He's not going to come talk to us.
• 7:09
  Speaker 1: There's also a Cybertruck.
• 7:12
Speaker 2: It's got a wrap of black, flat black.
• 7:14
  Speaker 2: It's a great display.
• 7:16
Speaker 1: Yes, I see that flat black wrap, so Mr Mars went over there and invited him and he can't come.
• 7:23
Speaker 3: He's very busy and some of his people haven't shown up, Said he'll try and get loose in a few minutes.
• 7:28
  Speaker 3: Well, okay.
• 7:29
Speaker 1: We don't have to worry about that.
• 7:30
Speaker 1: That's the end of that.
• 7:31
Speaker 1: You know what we can talk amongst ourselves Now.
• 7:37
Speaker 1: You guys didn't come here for the preview night party.
• 7:41
Speaker 1: No, no, we did not.
• 7:42
Speaker 1: I did, I came, and I came and I saw, and they had some really good food.
• 7:48
Speaker 1: Matter of fact, I got to see Darryl Wisniewski from the Bayway group.
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: He owns Bayway.
• 7:53
  Speaker 3: Right.
• 7:54
Speaker 1: I talked to him and his wife.
• 7:55
Speaker 1: Actually, I've known his wife longer than I've known him.
• 8:00
Speaker 3: We don't need you going to them.
• 8:01
Speaker 1: Well, I didn't no, we didn't date or anything like that.
• 8:03
Speaker 1: Through another friend of mine I met.
• 8:04
Speaker 1: Her Name is Linda.
• 8:06
Speaker 1: Anyway, it was nice to chat with him.
• 8:09
Speaker 1: Of course, rochelle was here welcoming guests and I had my red pumps on and I got a lot of attention.
• 8:17
Speaker 1: But it was a great event and it was well attended and if you are new to new car shows, I would encourage you to come to that event next year.
• 8:32
Speaker 1: They usually have it right before it opens the next day.
• 8:37
Speaker 1: Tuesday, because the next morning is the press day.
• 8:40
Speaker 1: Yes, and I ran into Jeff Yip at the preview party.
• 8:46
Speaker 2: He was used to it.
• 8:46
Speaker 2: Is he a Chronicle?
• 8:48
Speaker 1: Yes, he was, and Jeff is a very, very talented automotive writer.
• 8:53
Speaker 1: We met him through another organization years ago Yep, that he doesn't belong to that either anymore and great guy.
• 9:02
Speaker 1: He and his wife were here and it was good to see him.
• 9:05
Speaker 1: There were some other people here that I wasn't too thrilled to see.
• 9:09
Speaker 1: Oh boy, One of them was named Mike, and I think you know who I'm talking about.
• 9:13
Speaker 1: And so I ignored that.
• 9:17
Speaker 3: But you know we're going to ignore it now.
• 9:19
Speaker 3: Yes, the other thing is so you were here then looking at some of the cars, just like people are now.
• 9:27
Speaker 3: So we're in the Jeep space right now.
• 9:29
Speaker 3: Jeep, let us set up over here.
• 9:31
Speaker 1: Stellantis, let us set up.
• 9:32
Speaker 1: Stellantis, let us set up the lontis, let us set up, yes, in the jeep space, and thank you, kimberly schultz, for allowing us to elbow our way in over here yep and uh, it's very busy, a lot of people really is uh-huh and um.
• 9:46
Speaker 1: Is this, what is this?
• 9:48
Speaker 1: Is this the uh wagoneer?
• 9:50
  Speaker 3: that's yes, that's the wagon.
• 9:51
Speaker 3: Wagon, here, people are the white one is 72 Grand.
• 9:54
Speaker 2: I looked at that earlier that.
• 9:55
  Speaker 1: Wagoneer.
• 9:56
Speaker 1: Everybody is all over that.
• 9:59
  Speaker 1: Wagoneer, Yep.
• 10:00
Speaker 3: I see a lot of them on the road.
• 10:02
Speaker 1: You're seeing more and more of them every day, because that was new last year, remember.
• 10:05
  Speaker 3: Yes.
• 10:07
Speaker 1: And boy is it nice.
• 10:08
Speaker 1: Woo, that is really nice.
• 10:09
Speaker 1: Talk about competing with the Lincoln Navigator.
• 10:15
Speaker 3: There Talk about competing with the.
• 10:16
  Speaker 1: Lincoln Navigator.
• 10:16
Speaker 1: There you go Well, or even Suburban, or whatever.
• 10:17
Speaker 1: But you know, to us older folks the Wagoneer was different.
• 10:21
Speaker 2: back in the day, it's all square body.
• 10:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, it was the square body and it was a rough and tumble.
• 10:27
Speaker 3: a four-wheel drive SUV back in the day, not a lot of eyeball Rubber mats instead of carpet Rubber mats, and then it had the wood siding on it.
• 10:34
Speaker 3: The fake wood siding Never took it out of the crate.
• 10:36
Speaker 2: That made an eyeball there, yeah.
• 10:38
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 10:39
Speaker 1: So very interesting to see some of the new cars and what people are attracted to.
• 10:45
Speaker 1: Those are the people that are all over certain vehicles and there's people waiting to get inside and take a look at it.
• 10:51
Speaker 1: That's one thing that's pretty common.
• 10:54
Speaker 1: Not to get inside and take a look at it, that's one thing.
• 10:57
Speaker 1: Um, that's pretty common, not on, not uncommon here.
• 10:58
Speaker 1: Um, I remember when they brought out the new shelby mustang and they had it on display up there.
• 11:03
Speaker 1: You couldn't get next to it.
• 11:05
Speaker 1: They had it roped off because it was pricey.
• 11:09
Speaker 1: But boy, it sure did look good from a distance.
• 11:12
Speaker 1: Of course we attended on press morning and they would let you get up and look at it.
• 11:15
Speaker 1: Yes, because I don't know why, because I wouldn't trust the press as far as I could throw it would you automotive press, I think.
• 11:23
Speaker 3: I think that's that's one of the things I like about the show is that you can literally come here and you can go to I think what you'll see 30 brands here, actually and you can go and you can open the doors and you can sit in them.
• 11:35
Speaker 3: You know, look at them.
• 11:37
Speaker 3: There's no salesman trying to hound you.
• 11:40
Speaker 1: There are a few that they don't let you sit in.
• 11:42
Speaker 1: I saw that the Corvette.
• 11:43
Speaker 1: You can sit in the Corvette but you can get up and look through the window.
• 11:46
Speaker 3: The reason they won't let you sit in the Corvette is because people like me can't get back out of it.
• 11:51
Speaker 3: You'd be stuck in there.
• 11:54
Speaker 1: You know that's a good point.
• 11:55
Speaker 1: You know what a great point.
• 11:57
Speaker 1: You know, next time I have the Corvette unfolded there in the driveway at my house, I want to see you get in and out of it, I'm going to shoehorn you in it.
• 12:04
Speaker 2: I can get in it, I know, but I want to see you getting out of it.
• 12:08
Speaker 3: Yeah, and it can be ugly.
• 12:10
Speaker 3: I'm just going to tell you we went to.
• 12:12
  Speaker 1: Well, it depends.
• 12:13
Speaker 1: It's either ugly or entertaining one or the other.
• 12:15
  Speaker 1: We went to.
• 12:16
Speaker 2: Fireman Jack's car show in the middle of God's country and I rode with him and the vet and it took me, I had to get down and roll into it and all that stuff.
• 12:26
  Speaker 2: Same thing.
• 12:27
Speaker 2: A little bit of help getting out, yeah, agreed.
• 12:30
Speaker 1: Because once you're in, you don't want to get out, because you're basically about two inches off the concrete when he drives.
• 12:37
Speaker 2: you want to get out.
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: I did not.
• 12:38
Speaker 1: I don't drive that way, Mars.
• 12:42
Speaker 1: On the other hand, I'm surprised that you haven't wrecked more cars.
• 12:48
Speaker 3: I did it all when I was younger.
• 12:51
Speaker 1: Because I see you wandering in the lane that you're supposed to be in.
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: You wander.
• 12:56
Speaker 3: That's research on the lane.
• 12:58
  Speaker 3: Yeah, that's both.
• 12:59
Speaker 2: I'm not buying that he's doing a lane change guidance.
• 13:02
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 13:03
  Speaker 1: Lane change guidance.
• 13:05
  Speaker 3: Yeah, but don't.
• 13:06
Speaker 3: Anyway, I wanted to say, and I'm going to go try and see if I can find one here.
• 13:14
Speaker 3: I wanted to say, and I'm going to go try and see if I can find one here.
• 13:17
Speaker 3: I have in my driveway a GMC Sierra EV truck that showed up late yesterday.
• 13:25
Speaker 1: What do you have?
• 13:26
Speaker 1: I happen to have a EV truck as well.
• 13:32
  Speaker 4: Really.
• 13:33
  Speaker 2: I do.
• 13:34
Speaker 2: I think we have competition.
• 13:38
Speaker 1: Ooh yeah, guess what I'm not laying up next to him.
• 13:41
Speaker 1: He'll wander over into my lane.
• 13:43
Speaker 3: It won't matter, because you'll be so far behind.
• 13:45
  Speaker 2: It won't be a problem.
• 13:49
Speaker 1: We got a challenge going on now On purpose behind because, like I said, I'm not getting next to you on any plane.
• 13:55
Speaker 3: Any excuse will do.
• 13:55
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 13:55
Speaker 3: Say what purpose behind, because, like I said, I'm not getting next to you on any.
• 13:56
Speaker 2: Any excuse, okay, and say what david, you ride with mike and I'll ride with don.
• 13:59
Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I'll tell you what you got.
• 14:02
Speaker 3: You guys go for that, david just left, but I'm gonna see if I can find, see if they've got one here, because I I had never even seen anything about one, I didn't even know they made one you know I've had everybody that has seen it say, wait it looks.
• 14:15
Speaker 1: it looks like the old Avalanche, exactly.
• 14:17
Speaker 1: It does Kind of.
• 14:18
Speaker 1: It's got the sail panels in the back by the bed.
• 14:21
Speaker 1: They're not very big, but it's just enough to give it that Avalanche look which I always liked.
• 14:27
  Speaker 3: Yes.
• 14:28
Speaker 2: Well, the Avalanche, the ICE Avalanche, kind of rode like a Cadillac.
• 14:37
Speaker 1: It did because that was the first gm truck that had independent rear suspension.
• 14:39
Speaker 2: So that was the thing I remember about it.
• 14:41
Speaker 3: Now, right with at the step bumper right bumper it was the first one that and you could take the back glass and out, out and then the fold down.
• 14:49
Speaker 3: Do you remember the?
• 14:50
Speaker 1: commercial with that where they put like a mini back there and they tucked the nose up almost into the cab because he could take that whole panel out.
• 14:58
Speaker 1: You got more room.
• 14:59
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah that didn't go over too well.
• 15:03
Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, I think I was working at another television station at the time and I had one of those and we were doing the video portion of it me and the photographer and I got out and I started taking all of the panels that were available, and that divider panel in the back.
• 15:22
Speaker 1: My God, I thought I'd never get that thing back in there.
• 15:25
Speaker 1: First of all, it was heavy and I had all these parts and pieces laid out of this person's front yard, of all the things that came off of the car, the truck, and we got it all back on there.
• 15:37
Speaker 1: But it's like are you kidding?
• 15:38
Speaker 1: It's way too much.
• 15:41
Speaker 1: Yeah, you know with the Jeep Wrangler.
• 15:43
Speaker 1: Yeah, the doors come off, the windshield folds down, all that top comes off, all that stuff.
• 15:48
