- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's do it. My favorite part of the day. Dirty
- 0:02Speaker 1: little secret.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Now, if you ever have a secret confession you want
- 0:05Speaker 2: to get off your chest, feel free to reach out
- 0:07Speaker 2: anytime you want at 833-787-1029 or at Billy on the
- 0:11Speaker 2: radio on Instagram at Billy on the radio.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Candace is at.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Candace on air.
- 0:15Speaker 1: It could be a little secret, big secret. Just get
- 0:17Speaker 1: it off your chest. Here we go. It's Billy the Kid. Now,
- 0:20Speaker 1: Candace Lopez.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Our producer, Poo, started laughing when he heard this secret,
- 0:25Speaker 2: which is kind of a good sign.
- 0:26Speaker 1: So what's going on? Your secret is what?
- 0:30Speaker 4: Okay, so this is so embarrassing because the only person
- 0:32Speaker 4: who knows the truth about this is my husband. But
- 0:34Speaker 4: I guess not now because I called you. But it's
- 0:36Speaker 4: so embarrassing. A couple of weeks ago, I broke my
- 0:41Speaker 4: big toe.
- 0:42Speaker 5: What?
- 0:43Speaker 4: And, yeah, but I told everyone that I was just
- 0:47Speaker 4: helping my husband move the couch, and I dropped it
- 0:49Speaker 4: on my foot. But obviously that's not really what happened.
- 0:52Speaker 4: What happened?
- 0:54Speaker 2: Why do you have to lie about your toe being broken?
- 0:58Speaker 4: It's so stupid. Like, I'm laughing about it, just thinking
- 1:01Speaker 4: about it. Okay, so, like, whatever. One night I got
- 1:04Speaker 4: out of the shower, and I was butt naked. And
- 1:05Speaker 4: I was just being silly, you know, and I started–
- 1:08Speaker 4: I started dancing for my husband, if you will, just
- 1:11Speaker 4: do it a little, do a little sexy jig or whatever.
- 1:14Speaker 4: And I don't know, I was just, I was just
- 1:17Speaker 4: trying to get a little, you know, little heat going
- 1:19Speaker 4: back in the, in the old romance, you know? And
- 1:22Speaker 4: so then I did this little spin and then I
- 1:25Speaker 4: was going to try to jump on the bed, like
- 1:27Speaker 4: where he was laying. And then, but obviously what happened
- 1:31Speaker 4: is when I went to do the jump onto the bed,
- 1:33Speaker 4: I slammed my big toe, like, right into the bed.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Just real. And you broke it?
- 1:42Speaker 1: Oh, my God, yeah.
- 1:43Speaker 4: It was so painful. I was, like, literally crying and
- 1:47Speaker 4: laughing at the same time. I've never felt so stupid.
- 1:50Speaker 4: And it, like, bruised up instantly. And it was so swollen.
- 1:54Speaker 4: And all I was trying to do was be a
- 1:56Speaker 4: little sexy. And I failed.
- 1:59Speaker 2: This, we've talked about this before. People have had romantic injuries.
- 2:03Speaker 2: That's what we call them. Romantic injuries.
- 2:05Speaker 1: And I mean, I can just imagine though, you trying
- 2:07Speaker 1: to be all hot and sexy and slamming your toe.
- 2:11Speaker 4: I was trying, I tried to be sexy and I
- 2:14Speaker 4: totally failed. I couldn't even tell the doctor the truth.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I was like, um, I just dropped the couch.
- 2:20Speaker 6: On my toe.
- 2:20Speaker 1: What did your husband do when it happened?
- 2:23Speaker 4: Oh, he was dying laughing. Like, dying. So I guess
- 2:28Speaker 4: now it's his turn to be a stripper.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 2:30Speaker 4: My days are over.
- 2:32Speaker 1: We had a girl call in one time. Oh, God,
- 2:34Speaker 1: I wish I could get her back on the phone.
- 2:36Speaker 2: She called in one time, and she was trying to
- 2:38Speaker 2: be sexy and started, like, lit all these candles for
- 2:41Speaker 2: her man and whatever and was doing this little dance
- 2:43Speaker 2: and I guess knocked the candle over and started the bed.
- 2:46Speaker 1: The bed on fire.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 2:50Speaker 4: I've definitely had a friend who's burned her hair on
- 2:51Speaker 4: a sexy candle, too.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:53Speaker 4: The candle's a real hazard.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I've never had a romantic injury before. Candice, have you?
- 3:00Speaker 5: No.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Leading to urgent care?
- 3:02Speaker 1: No. Oh, but maybe another one?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:05Speaker 1: No. That is hysterical. Well, hopefully you feel better telling us,
- 3:08Speaker 1: at least.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 3:10Speaker 2: And I hope your toe gets better. And, hey, at
- 3:13Speaker 2: least you'll have a story to laugh about for so long.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I know it made my morning.
- 3:17Speaker 6: All right.
- 3:18Speaker 4: See, there we go.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Dirty little secret.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Impromptu right there. It's Mix 102.9. Ability Kid, Candace Lopez,
- 3:25Speaker 2: Producer Pooh. We're having some technical issues, so I don't
- 3:28Speaker 2: even know if we're on the air or not, really.
- 3:31Speaker 1: If we are, awesome.
- 3:32Speaker 3: I think we are, but I just realized that the
- 3:33Speaker 3: time on the computer is not the actual time. It's
- 3:36Speaker 3: actually 9.08.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Oh, well, everything just froze up. So I figured, you
- 3:39Speaker 1: know what? We don't have even like the production or
- 3:41Speaker 1: stuff that we normally do.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fine.
- 3:43Speaker 2: So we have Texas Top Stories right now. I was
- 3:44Speaker 2: going to say Pooh could do it for you. He's
- 3:46Speaker 2: real good at just improvising.
- 3:47Speaker 1: You ready? Yeah, go ahead. You want to, Pooh? Go ahead.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Hit it, Pooh.
- 3:50Speaker 6: Texas Top Stories with Candace Lopez.
- 3:53Speaker 1: That's actually not good.
- 3:55Speaker 4: No?
- 3:55Speaker 6: You don't like that?
- 3:56Speaker 1: No. There. I needed some.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I like it.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Texas Top Stories with Candace Lopez on Mix 102.9. All right,
- 4:05Speaker 1: let's go, guys.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Starting today, Dallas police will officially take over traffic enforcement
- 4:11Speaker 3: and crash investigations on the tollway. So the Texas Department
- 4:15Speaker 3: of Public Safety's agreement to patrol NTTA roads expired. So
- 4:21Speaker 3: if you get pulled over on the tollway, it's not
- 4:22Speaker 3: going to be sheriff's deputies or state troopers anymore. We
- 4:25Speaker 3: forget all these like new rules and laws start on
- 4:28Speaker 3: your birthday.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. I forget about that. There used to
- 4:31Speaker 1: be one. I remember one state trooper right here at
- 4:34Speaker 1: Spring Valley in the tollway. Oh, yeah. And he was mean. Yeah.
- 4:38Speaker 2: And he would get you. You just had to slow down. Yeah,
- 4:40Speaker 2: state troopers, I feel like, write more tickets than anybody else.
- 4:43Speaker 3: You think so? I mean, they're scarier, for sure, when
- 4:45Speaker 3: they're walking up in the rear view.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And they never wear shorts. No, they don't. You never
- 4:49Speaker 1: see a state trooper in shorts. Yeah, for sure.
- 4:51Speaker 6: They don't play around.
- 4:52Speaker 1: So just heads up. Yeah.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Guys, Bernie Texas is among the 25 finalists for Hallmark
- 4:58Speaker 3: Channel's Merriest Christmastown contest. So the winning town could be
- 5:02Speaker 3: filming a Hallmark movie right in the middle of the city.
- 5:05Speaker 3: This is so exciting. Public voting is open once per
- 5:08Speaker 3: day through Friday before those judges pick the winner. So
- 5:12Speaker 3: if you want to give some love to Bernie, go
- 5:14Speaker 3: on the website. You can vote right now.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'm a little bit upset about that. I love Bernie.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It's a beautiful place.
- 5:18Speaker 2: If you've never been, you should check it out, even
- 5:20Speaker 2: though people don't know how to pronounce it ever because
- 5:21Speaker 2: it's spelled funny.
- 5:23Speaker 1: You know, it's spelled like interesting, but it doesn't look
- 5:25Speaker 1: like it's spelled Bernie. Right. But why not Grapevine?
- 5:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know how these finalists got chosen. I
- 5:31Speaker 3: was looking at the list, though. Yeah, Grapevine is not
- 5:33Speaker 3: on there. Maybe we could be on there next year.
- 5:35Speaker 3: If Bernie wins, though, this will be a big deal.
- 5:38Speaker 3: I mean, having a Hallmark movie film is so exciting
- 5:40Speaker 3: because they just take over the city. Like the props
- 5:43Speaker 3: department and like the set decoration and design is incredible.
- 5:47Speaker 3: So they'll bring in fake snow and all the things
- 5:49Speaker 3: because they don't typically film those. You know, around Christmas time,
- 5:52Speaker 3: it's usually July.
- 5:53Speaker 2: I've watched one Hallmark movie, and it was the one
- 5:55Speaker 2: that your husband Eric was in.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Yay. And it was really, really good.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Journey to You.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Journey to You. It was very, very sweet.
- 6:02Speaker 3: It was.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I cried a little bit.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Did you?
- 6:05Speaker 1: I held poo. Oh. It was very emotional.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I mean, we're getting close to Hallmark movie season, Christmas
- 6:11Speaker 3: movie season. So they'll probably drop the calendar soon. Just
- 6:15Speaker 3: a heads up. Guys, let me update you on what's
- 6:17Speaker 3: going on with Miley Cyrus. She has dropped her last
- 6:20Speaker 3: name on social media. She gave no explanation yesterday when
- 6:24Speaker 3: she posted this picture of herself. And the caption just
- 6:27Speaker 3: says Miley. OK, yeah, we think maybe she's getting ready
- 6:30Speaker 3: to release new music. But some people are also saying, hey,
- 6:33Speaker 3: she's doing like what all the pit kids, Jolie pit
- 6:36Speaker 3: kids are doing and dropping the pit last name.
- 6:38Speaker 2: There's so much drama with her name right now to
- 6:40Speaker 2: her and her dad's fighting her mom.
- 6:43Speaker 1: She, does she even talk to her dad anymore?
- 6:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good question. I think they made up
- 6:47Speaker 3: and then they weren't talking again, but like she kind
- 6:50Speaker 3: of goes back and forth, you know, is she hanging
- 6:52Speaker 3: with her mom? Is she hanging with her dad? Um,
- 6:54Speaker 3: but I hope that's not the case. I hope this
- 6:56Speaker 3: is just like Brittany, uh, You know, Dolly, Madonna, Miley.
- 7:00Speaker 3: This is, you know, that type of thing. But Apple
- 7:03Speaker 3: Music commented saying new era incoming. And they're pretty, you know,
- 7:07Speaker 3: hip to what's going on in music.
- 7:08Speaker 7: Right.
- 7:09Speaker 1: I mean, I think so, too. And I enjoy some
- 7:11Speaker 1: new Miley.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Cool with that.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Yeah. Also, Dolly Parton's estate guys announced a global festival
- 7:18Speaker 3: called Dolly Fest. It's going to happen next year in Nashville.
- 7:21Speaker 3: And London. So I guess Dolly was planning to host
- 7:24Speaker 3: it for her 80th birthday. It was put on hold
- 7:27Speaker 3: because of her health. They haven't shared any details yet
- 7:31Speaker 3: or dates, ticket info or lineup. But how fun Dolly Fest.
- 7:35Speaker 2: You know what I realized, too, with the passing of Dolly,
- 7:37Speaker 2: which was so sad. Give people their.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Flowers when they're alive.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:41Speaker 2: And, you know, you see Dolly pass away and it's
- 7:45Speaker 2: awesome to see how many people loved her and what
- 7:47Speaker 2: an impact she had. And I feel like she did
- 7:50Speaker 2: get props, you know, in this world while she was here.
- 7:54Speaker 2: She definitely got those. But it's just a reminder, like,
- 7:56Speaker 2: appreciate people while they're here and show them their love. Because,
- 7:59Speaker 2: you know, it's like painters, sometimes artists, their art doesn't
- 8:02Speaker 2: even get popular until they're dead.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:06Speaker 2: And I think to myself, can you imagine working your
- 8:08Speaker 2: entire life being an artist, like a starving artist? And
- 8:11Speaker 2: then you pass away and you see your you don't
- 8:14Speaker 2: see your art explode.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Right.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:16Speaker 1: And it's famous. And then you'll never see it because
- 8:19Speaker 1: you're like, well, my art sucked. I don't know.
- 8:21Speaker 2: But little do you know, you're just so famous, but
- 8:24Speaker 2: you're not here to get people their flowers.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Seriously.
- 8:26Speaker 3: No, I agree. I was shocked to just see how
- 8:29Speaker 3: many people were posting about Dolly last week, you know,
- 8:31Speaker 3: and people I didn't even know even knew, you know,
- 8:34Speaker 3: about her career. So, yeah, I agree.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I know.
- 8:36Speaker 3: We're giving you flowers, Billy.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Oh, thank you.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Well, you were talking about a name change and I
- 8:40Speaker 2: was thinking about this might be a good time to
- 8:42Speaker 2: change my name.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Why? Because it's my birthday and I've thought about this
- 8:46Speaker 1: for a long time. I've thought about dropping kid. Okay.
- 8:49Speaker 1: And maybe starting a whole new career as William the adult. Okay.
- 8:55Speaker 3: There's so many letters and all of that.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a lot.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Well, the reason I say that is because I'll meet kids,
- 9:00Speaker 2: you know, and they're like, why do you call yourself kid?
- 9:02Speaker 2: And I'm like, because I was actually a kid when
- 9:05Speaker 2: I got this name. And now, yeah, now I'm older
- 9:07Speaker 2: and I'm not a kid. But shut up, kid.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 9:11Speaker 3: When did you get that name?
- 9:12Speaker 1: I got that name years and years ago.
- 9:15Speaker 3: 19 what?
- 9:15Speaker 1: Oh, would you?
- 9:16Speaker 3: Candace.
- 9:16Speaker 7: Candace.
- 9:17Speaker 1: It's my birthday.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Okay. I met you in 2004 and you were Billy
- 9:21Speaker 3: the Kid. So I'm just assuming it was in the 1900s.
- 9:23Speaker 1: It was in the 1900s. Yeah. It was in the
- 9:26Speaker 1: 1900s when they would call me. I was Billy the Intern.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Oh.
- 9:30Speaker 1: When I was an intern. Okay. And nobody really knew
- 9:33Speaker 1: my name. So they would just say, have the kid
- 9:35Speaker 1: do it. Oh. Just have that kid do it. Have
- 9:37Speaker 1: that one kid do it.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Because I was the kid that hung around the radio
- 9:40Speaker 2: station and did everything I could no matter what.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Same.
- 9:43Speaker 2: And that eventually they were like, just have Billy do it. Billy,
- 9:45Speaker 2: you know, the kid. Billy, and then it just started
- 9:49Speaker 2: just happening like that.
- 9:50Speaker 3: See, I never even heard this story, and I've known
- 9:52Speaker 3: you for 20 to four and a half years.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Well, it's because you never ask me any questions. You
- 9:55Speaker 1: don't care. No. Oh, my gosh.
- 9:57Speaker 3: That's not true.
- 9:58Speaker 1: That's exactly why. Yeah. And the computer's still down, so
- 10:01Speaker 1: we might as well tell more stories. Well, yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Shout out to Melissa and Lisa texting me saying, yeah,
- 10:06Speaker 3: you guys are on.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Oh, we are?
- 10:07Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay, because there's a lot of things going on
- 10:10Speaker 2: and everything's shut down, so I couldn't even play a
- 10:12Speaker 2: song if I tried right now.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Right, no. Unless Pooh were to do some singing. God knows.
- 10:17Speaker 6: Yeah, you don't want me to sing.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Should we just do Kelly Oakey? Billy Oakey today?
- 10:20Speaker 6: Yeah, let Candace sing, though.
- 10:21Speaker 1: You know what? Candace is real good at singing. The
- 10:23Speaker 1: only thing worse than dead air would be us singing.
- 10:25Speaker 4: What?
- 10:27Speaker 3: Text me if you want us to sing.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you can text, but we're not going to.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Side note, did you guys see that Taylor Swift and
- 10:33Speaker 3: Travis Kelsey's dog is featured in the new Tommy Hilfiger ad?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Are you serious? Yeah.
- 10:38Speaker 3: There's a dog that's making more money than us?
- 10:41Speaker 7: How's the dog getting paid as a model?
- 10:44Speaker 3: I don't know, but he deserves it. This dog is
- 10:46Speaker 3: so cute.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Let me see a picture of this dumb dog.
- 10:48Speaker 3: We talked about it recently, how the Samoyed puppies were
- 10:51Speaker 3: popping off. This is like the white fluffy. It's got
- 10:53Speaker 3: like two layers of hair. Oh, it's perfect.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. It's literally a perfect dog.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Oh, it's beautiful.
- 10:58Speaker 1: It's so perfect. Oh, see. So happy.
- 11:01Speaker 3: It's on a private jet.
- 11:02Speaker 2: This is exactly why they did that the other day
- 11:04Speaker 2: when they had their dog in the shots or whatever.
- 11:07Speaker 2: They casually had their paparazzi take pictures of their dog.
- 11:10Speaker 2: They were setting up a campaign. Everything they do is
- 11:13Speaker 2: so smart.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right. It's all performative, but it makes sense.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I mean, we saw him getting off of the private
- 11:18Speaker 3: jet and now he's at the Plaza Hotel doing a
- 11:21Speaker 3: photo shoot with Travis Kelsey.
- 11:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Okay. Well, good. All right. Well, thank you.
- 11:26Speaker 3: I love it.
- 11:26Speaker 1: You do?
- 11:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I was going to mention this. More of this dog.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I saw this story that kind of made me laugh.
- 11:32Speaker 2: What is like the one thing kids want in America?
- 11:34Speaker 2: The most popular food for kids, like if they could
- 11:36Speaker 2: eat it every day.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Mac and cheese.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese is up there. It
- 11:40Speaker 1: was on the list. That and one other thing that
- 11:42Speaker 1: goes perfect.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Chicken nuggets.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Chicken nuggets.
- 11:44Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, nuggets.
- 11:45Speaker 3: That's what we're having tonight.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Are you really?
- 11:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's baseball practice night. It's going to be late.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Just throw the chicken nuggets in.
- 11:50Speaker 1: But, Candace, we know you. What? You don't have the
- 11:53Speaker 1: regular chicken nuggets.
- 11:54Speaker 6: You don't have dino duds.
- 11:55Speaker 7: What do you mean?
- 11:56Speaker 1: I guarantee you, you have quinoa nuggets.
- 11:59Speaker 3: No, they're bear chicken nuggets from Target.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Whatever, bean sprout nuggets from Pure Homes.
- 12:05Speaker 3: No, they're just bear lightly breaded.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Get your black bean nuggies. Or something. Are they just
- 12:11Speaker 1: regular nuggets?
- 12:12Speaker 3: They're bare. Just bare. Fully cooked.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Life-spreaded chicken nuggets. Has your son, Enzo, ever had a
- 12:17Speaker 1: dino nuggy?
- 12:18Speaker 3: Yes, he has.
- 12:19Speaker 1: He has?
- 12:19Speaker 3: He's had dino nuggies. He's had star nuggies. If I
- 12:22Speaker 3: could find car nuggies, he would eat those.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Car nuggies?
- 12:25Speaker 3: Yeah, well, in the shape of race cars or something.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I think they have them. Okay.
- 12:29Speaker 2: So they did this article about, you know, in other countries...
- 12:33Speaker 2: what kids eat instead of chicken nuggets. Like what's their go-to, like,
- 12:36Speaker 2: you know, what is the go-to thing? And people were responding.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I just thought it was fascinating because, you know, internationally,
- 12:42Speaker 2: we don't think about sometimes we just get super hyper-focused
- 12:45Speaker 2: on what we like and whatnot. So in Mexico, one
- 12:49Speaker 2: girl said, I always ask for a quesadilla and chocolate milk.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Why does that sound like that'd be so good right now?
- 12:55Speaker 3: Yeah, Enzo would eat that for sure.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Someone else said in Canada, Poutine was the go-to.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Oh, poutine.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Is that what it's called?
- 13:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the fries with the gravy and all that.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Is that good?
- 13:07Speaker 6: Because it looks nasty.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it's good.
- 13:09Speaker 4: What's wrong?
- 13:10Speaker 3: What's nasty about gravy and fries?
- 13:12Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:12Speaker 7: Cheese?
- 13:12Speaker 1: I don't want no gravy.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Well, that's the weird part about it to me is
- 13:16Speaker 2: the gravy and the.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Cheese, the combo.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Well, I think it's like cheese curds.
- 13:19Speaker 6: Cheese curds?
- 13:20Speaker 1: Yeah. Candice.
- 13:21Speaker 6: Oh, Candice.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Oh, that's just what they do in Canada.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Watch your mouth.
- 13:25Speaker 3: It's hot brown gravy.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I like hot brown gravy.
- 13:29Speaker 6: But not on my fries.
- 13:31Speaker 3: I'm sure you guys would like it. You don't go
- 13:33Speaker 3: to Popeye's or wherever and get the gravy and put
- 13:35Speaker 3: your fries in there?
- 13:35Speaker 2: I do, but I don't put cheese on it. There's
- 13:37Speaker 2: certain things I don't like. I don't want cheese with
- 13:38Speaker 2: my gravy.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Not at all. I want cheese.
- 13:41Speaker 3: You're probably missing out.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Well, I'm not saying I won't try it. In Germany,
- 13:45Speaker 2: the go-to. Now, this is wild. Nutella and noodles. Oh,
- 13:52Speaker 2: chocolate noodles.
- 13:53Speaker 3: I mean, it can't be bad.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Yes, it is. Yes, it can. No way.
- 13:57Speaker 3: That's bad.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Chicken. So Nutella with just the egg noodles. Yeah.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Which would be like a dessert slash not dessert pasta.
- 14:07Speaker 3: We do dessert.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Dessert pizza is a thing.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Why not pasta?
- 14:12Speaker 2: When I was a kid, that's the one thing I
- 14:13Speaker 2: could eat every night of my life. no matter what,
- 14:16Speaker 2: and I could still eat it every day. If I
- 14:18Speaker 2: could eat it every day, I would, is butter noodles.
- 14:20Speaker 6: I love butter noodles.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Just noodles, egg noodles, and butter. That is a white
- 14:26Speaker 1: trash cuisine. Yes, it is. I'm serious. Has Enzo ever
- 14:30Speaker 1: had that?
- 14:31Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, all the time.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Yeah, but what kind of noodles are they?
- 14:34Speaker 6: Are they the egg noodles like the big egg noodles?
- 14:37Speaker 1: Sometimes. No, they're not.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Sometimes they are.
- 14:39Speaker 1: They're some weird homegrown organic elbow noodle.
- 14:43Speaker 3: We had shell bows last night.
- 14:44Speaker 6: What is a shell bow?
- 14:45Speaker 3: It's like a cross between a shell bow. Shells and
- 14:50Speaker 3: then the elbow noodles. They're called shell bows.
- 14:52Speaker 6: It's a cross between Shelby and her elbow.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Shells and elbows.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Who's Shelby? And why am I eating her elbow? Elbow noodles?
- 15:01Speaker 3: Yeah, they're called shell bows.
- 15:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:03Speaker 3: They're super good.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Yeah. In Sweden, the go-to is instead of chicken nuggets,
- 15:07Speaker 1: the kids say, why can't we just have meatballs? I
- 15:10Speaker 1: want meatballs.
- 15:11Speaker 5: Okay.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Oh. Yeah. Ikea? Yeah, I guess.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Meatballs are good.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I mean, yeah.
- 15:17Speaker 2: They use pre-made frozen meatballs from the store when kids
- 15:20Speaker 2: want that, and then they usually just serve it with
- 15:22Speaker 2: pasta and ketchup.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Not ketchup. Interesting.
- 15:26Speaker 6: Interesting.
- 15:27Speaker 2: In Brazil, it's white rice broth and cooked beans, the
- 15:30Speaker 2: broth of cooked beans, grilled chicken or steak, and French fries.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I'd eat that. In Thailand, the go-to for kids, they
- 15:38Speaker 1: want it. It's in demand, like Nuggies here, is eggs
- 15:41Speaker 1: and rice.
- 15:42Speaker 5: Yum.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Eggs and rice.
- 15:43Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:44Speaker 3: I mean, when you make fried rice, you put the
- 15:46Speaker 3: eggs in there.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Oh, that is true.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Eggs and rice is good.
- 15:49Speaker 1: When you put it like that, what was your go-to, Candice,
- 15:51Speaker 1: when you were a kid?
- 15:52Speaker 3: I mean, I love all of those things. Chicken noodles,
- 15:55Speaker 3: chicken noodle soup. Yeah, I just open a can of soup.
- 15:58Speaker 2: What's the most trashiest meal you've ever eaten in your life? Like,
- 16:02Speaker 2: the meal that you feel so guilty, like, I can't
- 16:04Speaker 2: even show my face after I eat this.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Wow.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I mean, I used to eat Vienna sausages a lot
- 16:09Speaker 3: when I was on, like, a low-carb diet.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I don't know why. I cannot. You are such a
- 16:13Speaker 1: food snob. Well, now, but.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Back then, no.
- 16:17Speaker 1: I cannot picture.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I ate a wide bread, Wonder Bread.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Candice, just mowing down on some Vienna sausage.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 16:23Speaker 1: What did you use to do?
- 16:24Speaker 3: Straight out of the can.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Did you used to wrap it in, like, you know,
- 16:26Speaker 1: white bread?
- 16:27Speaker 3: No, I'd just eat them plain.
- 16:29Speaker 1: What a savage.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I wasn't eating bread then.
- 16:31Speaker 1: That's how you know you got some mesquite in you.
- 16:33Speaker 3: You know what Atkins diet was very popular?
- 16:35Speaker 1: Just raw dog in Viennas?
- 16:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:37Speaker 1: You just got Viennas?
- 16:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:40Speaker 1: You wouldn't even slice them up and put them on
- 16:41Speaker 1: a Sammy?
- 16:42Speaker 3: No, I'd just run them out of there with a fork.
- 16:44Speaker 1: You would do that?
- 16:45Speaker 6: Slice them up and put them on a Sammy and
- 16:47Speaker 6: white Wonder Bread. Yeah, but my go-to is always bologna.
- 16:50Speaker 6: My bologna got.
- 16:52Speaker 1: A first name.
- 16:52Speaker 3: I mean, now I am, but back then.
- 16:54Speaker 6: Oscar Mayer player.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but how did you make it? Who? What?
- 16:57Speaker 6: I grill it.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Oh, you grill it.
- 16:59Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:00Speaker 3: That's fancy to me. I never grilled bologna. Why would
- 17:02Speaker 3: I do that?
- 17:02Speaker 1: No, I did. Fried bologna sandwiches.
- 17:04Speaker 6: Yeah, fried on a skillet.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah. No. They get you a white piece of Wonder Bread.
- 17:08Speaker 6: And then I fold it.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Ooh.
- 17:09Speaker 3: I know about the red ring you got to pull off.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Well, I used to love Wonder Bread and Vienna sausage,
- 17:16Speaker 2: but I would just eat it like that, roll it up,
- 17:18Speaker 2: and make a little pig in a blanket.
- 17:19Speaker 6: Yeah, little ghetto kolaches. That's what I called them.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Ghetto kolaches.
- 17:24Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Oh, my favorite, though, is I used to toast white bread.
- 17:28Speaker 1: And then I would just dust it with some butter
- 17:30Speaker 1: and cinnamon and sugar. That's like a ghetto donut.
- 17:32Speaker 3: My dad made that for us for breakfast every day
- 17:35Speaker 3: on the weekend.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Stop it.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Cinnamon toast.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Oh, my God. That hits. So I would eat that
- 17:40Speaker 1: right now.
- 17:40Speaker 3: So would I.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Although we have first watch outside.
- 17:43Speaker 3: I know it's getting cold.
- 17:44Speaker 7: I used to heat up my toast and then I
- 17:46Speaker 7: put a little peanut butter. And then some ancient mama
- 17:49Speaker 7: syrup on it. Made me some syrup sandwiches.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Syrup sandwiches used to hit.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Syrup and peanut butter?
- 17:53Speaker 1: Yes. Syrup sandwiches. I used to eat those too. Yes. Candace,
- 17:57Speaker 1: you don't know about some hood stuff.
- 17:59Speaker 7: That's what your mama says. Get out the house and
- 18:02Speaker 7: don't come back because I'll just make me a little pack.
- 18:04Speaker 6: Serve sandwiches.
- 18:05Speaker 1: When we were kids in the 1900s, it was wild.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I try to tell my son, we would get kicked
- 18:10Speaker 2: out of the house and not allowed back in.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Right. And then we would just run out.
- 18:14Speaker 2: And I would remember running out with a stick of
- 18:16Speaker 2: butter one time and some white bread.
- 18:18Speaker 1: And then I was just rubbing the butter on the bread. Wow.
- 18:21Speaker 1: And just eating it, getting ready to go play football again.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Getting on my bike and I just had to leave.
- 18:26Speaker 1: And then I was thirsty. So then you just stop
- 18:28Speaker 1: at a random house and just drink their hose water.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Might as well. Yeah. And it tasted like hot plastic.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Right.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Now I have 40 ounces of water at all times.
- 18:38Speaker 6: That copper taste? And you're like, this is hot?
- 18:41Speaker 1: And nobody even cared. Nobody even cared. It's like, oh,
- 18:44Speaker 1: so-and-so is drinking out of my house.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Drinking out of my hose.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Totally normal.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Totally normal. Okay.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Here's another story I was going to mention. This is
- 18:53Speaker 2: a story that came out and I thought, you know what?
- 18:56Speaker 2: I agree with this.
- 18:57Speaker 1: The thumbs up emoji is the most dismissive emoji you
- 19:02Speaker 1: could possibly use. It's the new way of saying K.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I think it depends on the context. Because I always
- 19:08Speaker 3: switch back and forth. Like, does it deserve a thumbs up,
- 19:10Speaker 3: a heart, or two exclamation points? You know what I mean?
- 19:14Speaker 1: Two exclamation points? Well, yeah. Oh, that emoji.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Yeah. When you, like, do someone's... Text.
- 19:20Speaker 2: That's just me cosigning. If you say something, I'll hit
- 19:23Speaker 2: you with the double exclamation marks.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Yeah, he will.
- 19:25Speaker 3: So you're saying if I actually text the emoji, that
- 19:28Speaker 3: might be dismissive, yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 1: If you thumbs up me, I'm just going to go, well,
- 19:33Speaker 1: you know what? You're an a-hole. That's just does it
- 19:38Speaker 1: not come across weird to you?
- 19:39Speaker 3: It does, but I don't ever do that. I just
- 19:41Speaker 3: double click the text and then I pick an emoji.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I never send the thumbs by itself. Thumbs up.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Yeah, but even if it's the double tapping the emoji
- 19:49Speaker 1: or the text, it's still. kind of weird to hit you.
- 19:50Speaker 3: With the just i feel like that's different though why
- 19:53Speaker 3: i feel like that's like more casual oh cool.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Thumbs up you know you i just like thumbs up
- 19:58Speaker 5: bro i just noticed this the other day you know
- 20:00Speaker 5: you can make your own emojis no yeah like what
- 20:03Speaker 5: i went to search for an emoji how we're just
- 20:06Speaker 5: searching it you know if you you never search for
- 20:08Speaker 5: an emoji Yeah.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Yeah, like you go to your text or whatever, you're
- 20:10Speaker 2: going to search something, whatever. And I hit, oh, whatever,
- 20:13Speaker 2: search for this emoji in that bar. And then it
- 20:16Speaker 2: didn't have it, you know? And then it said, would
- 20:18Speaker 2: you like to make it?
- 20:19Speaker 7: What?
- 20:20Speaker 1: And I was like, yeah, I want to make it.
- 20:21Speaker 3: What'd you make?
- 20:22Speaker 1: I made a sombrero.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Send it to me.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I will. But there you go. What? So many fun
- 20:28Speaker 1: facts today. I wish I had a sound effect. I'd
- 20:30Speaker 1: play it. No, I hit an air horn. Oh, that
- 20:34Speaker 1: doesn't fit.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Who has an air horn?
- 20:37Speaker 1: Oh, there we go. The hi button. Thank you. All right, Pooh.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Relax with that. Okay, Pooh. Shut the hell up. Sorry.
- 20:46Speaker 3: It's Billy's birthday. Should we just eat too while we're
- 20:49Speaker 3: at it?
- 20:49Speaker 1: Well, I was going to say, I don't know. You
- 20:50Speaker 1: got anything you want to talk about, Candace?
- 20:53Speaker 3: I've been looking at literally everything online right now. I
- 20:57Speaker 3: think we've talked about everything, but there was this embarrassing
- 21:00Speaker 3: celebrity moments. Did you see this list?
- 21:02Speaker 1: I did see that.
- 21:03Speaker 2: And I thought it was funny because some of these
- 21:06Speaker 2: I actually forgot about. Celebrities we're talking about or somebody ranked.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, and I love a good list.
- 21:11Speaker 2: But somebody ranked the most, I guess, the most embarrassing
- 21:14Speaker 2: celebrity moments of all time. And I can think of
- 21:16Speaker 2: one right off the bat that, you know, you see
- 21:19Speaker 2: it happen. Because I'm very awkward when it comes to
- 21:22Speaker 2: watching other people's awkward moments.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Like, I can't stand it. You know me, and
- 21:27Speaker 1: I love pranks. I love jokes. But I cannot stand
- 21:32Speaker 1: watching somebody else get embarrassed.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it's hard.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Like the third party cringe to me is the worst.
- 21:39Speaker 1: I can't watch it.
- 21:39Speaker 2: So to me, they were missing one huge one that
- 21:43Speaker 2: I thought was one of the cringiest moments of all time.
- 21:45Speaker 2: And it's maybe because I think the world of this
- 21:48Speaker 2: guy as an artist and rest in peace to Michael Jackson.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:51Speaker 2: But I will never forget to me one of the
- 21:53Speaker 2: most embarrassing celebrity moments when he was at an award show.
- 21:57Speaker 2: And do you remember? He was on stage and he
- 22:01Speaker 2: thought that whatever was a Lifetime Achievement Award and it wasn't.
- 22:05Speaker 2: And it was like the cake cutter or something.
- 22:10Speaker 1: It was something ridiculous.
- 22:12Speaker 2: And he was holding it up so proud and started
- 22:15Speaker 2: doing an acceptance speech and it wasn't even the award.
- 22:18Speaker 2: It was one of the cringiest things. I've ever been
- 22:22Speaker 2: like I had it. No, I can't watch it.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 22:25Speaker 3: I might look it up later. I didn't realize that
- 22:28Speaker 3: Taylor Swift was on this list for her acceptance speech
- 22:32Speaker 3: for woman of the decade. I guess she kept like
- 22:34Speaker 3: pausing like she was waiting for the audience to clap
- 22:37Speaker 3: because usually everyone's clapping and she has to give the like, oh,
- 22:41Speaker 3: my gosh.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Wow.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Face, you know, like I can't believe I'm accepting this.
- 22:45Speaker 3: But I didn't expect to see her have an embarrassing
- 22:47Speaker 3: moment ever.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Why? Did they not clap?
- 22:49Speaker 3: Yeah, no one was clapping.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Oh, God. Yeah. But sometimes they tell those audiences not
- 22:55Speaker 1: to clap. Right. Hold your applause.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Yeah, they'll say, hold your applause, or they have somebody
- 22:59Speaker 2: who tells you when to clap and when to laugh.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:02Speaker 2: So maybe they were telling that. That just could be
- 23:04Speaker 2: a miscommunication. I mean, I've had an embarrassment. What's your
- 23:07Speaker 2: most embarrassing moment? Do you know your most embarrassing moment ever?
- 23:10Speaker 3: I think I try to block those things out when
- 23:13Speaker 3: they happen to me. But I did when I was
- 23:15Speaker 3: a kid and I was in a bowling league.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I know.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Fun fact. But I draw I like my finger got
- 23:20Speaker 3: stuck in the ball and it landed on my left
- 23:22Speaker 3: hand and broke a finger.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Super embarrassing.
- 23:26Speaker 2: You know, Candace, you don't realize Candace was one of
- 23:29Speaker 2: the best. Bowlers in, you know, in North Texas. Oh,
- 23:33Speaker 2: in Texas in general?
- 23:34Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Okay. Do you know your most embarrassing moment, Pooh? Oh, yeah.
- 23:38Speaker 1: You were with me.
- 23:38Speaker 6: Remember when I thought that girl was pregnant?
- 23:42Speaker 1: Oh, Pooh.
- 23:43Speaker 6: Oh, there we go.
- 23:44Speaker 7: Bye.
- 23:44Speaker 1: The new Mix 102.9.
