  Speaker 1: you want? I know a lot of people who have

  Speaker 1: given up on achieving the life of their dreams. But

  Speaker 1: I know they'd still want them if they could get

  Speaker 1: to them. But they just allowed to settle for so

  Speaker 1: many reasons. So who I'm talking to is you today?

  Speaker 1: What's really at the core of stopping you? What is that?

  Speaker 1: Is it your friend friends, or your associates. Is it

  Speaker 1: the fear of what you think somebody else will think

  Speaker 1: of you if you decide to change. Is it what

  Speaker 1: I used to call the call of the wile? Is

  Speaker 1: it the fact that you keep thinking that the thing

  Speaker 1: that you're doing that's providing you these momentary moments of

  Speaker 1: pleasure that really ain't really good or healthy for you.

  Speaker 1: You don't want to stop doing that because you've got

  Speaker 1: just a little bit more something else you want to do.

  Speaker 1: I call that the call of the while. You know

  Speaker 1: it's just out there. Them streets is calling you, Them

  Speaker 1: lights is calling you. You know, them girls is calling you.

  Speaker 1: Them guys that's on the wrong side keep calling you.

  Speaker 1: You can't seem to make a decision by the right guy.

  Speaker 1: You keep picking the wrong guy all the time. What

  Speaker 1: is it that's stopping you from having the life that

  Speaker 1: you really want to have? So whatever the reason you're choosing,

  Speaker 1: that's the reason that's stopping you from having the life

  Speaker 1: that you want to have. It's no good because at

  Speaker 1: the end of the day, date, here's the real deal. See,

  Speaker 1: God is available, and God is available for all of us,

  Speaker 1: and God has a plan for all of us, and

  Speaker 1: God wants the very best for all of us. That's

  Speaker 1: the truth of the matter. So now what we're gonna

  Speaker 1: do to get started having that life? First of all,

  Speaker 1: if it's your friends, I want you to understand something.

  Speaker 1: Your friends can't save you. A lot of your friends

  Speaker 1: offer no real help for you. Most of your friends

  Speaker 1: don't have the answer themselves. I mean, it's just a

  Speaker 1: wide range of reasons and misery, love, company. So usually

  Speaker 1: when your friends are in a bad position, they kind

  Speaker 1: of like company in that bad position. Your friends ain't

  Speaker 1: going to church, You're going to be their friend. They
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: don't really want you to go to church. You know

  Speaker 1: your friends don't pray, so why would they offer up

  Speaker 1: prayer as a solution to you. You know, your friends

  Speaker 1: don't really really get the fact that if you treat

  Speaker 1: people better, people would treat you better. So what's that?

  Speaker 1: So your friends are a lot of times the reasons,

  Speaker 1: you know, to peer pressure of what and then the

  Speaker 1: thought in your mind of what they gonna think once

  Speaker 1: they find out I don't do what they do anymore.

  Speaker 1: Who cares what they think other than you? I mean, really,

  Speaker 1: you can't let what somebody thinks of you stop you

  Speaker 1: from having the best life you wanted to have. If

  Speaker 1: I went by that theory right there, I wouldn't I

  Speaker 1: wouldn't even be on this mic this morning. I would

  Speaker 1: have never become a stand up I would had I

  Speaker 1: listened to the people around me who clearly told me

  Speaker 1: when I quit my job to pursue this, boy, don't

  Speaker 1: you quit your job? You got a family. Boy, don't

  Speaker 1: you do this? You ain't got no bit that ain't

  Speaker 1: no security in that. Get yourself a job, go down

  Speaker 1: here and what your brothers go to work over here?

  Speaker 1: Go to I heard all of that. I didn't let

  Speaker 1: that stop me from pursuing this. Why would you allow

  Speaker 1: that to stop you from pursuing your relationship with God

  Speaker 1: so you can have the best life you could possibly have?

  Speaker 1: You gang bang because they've convinced you that this is
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: the family situation and love that you don't have, and

  Speaker 1: they've convinced you that this is your only way, your
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: only source of getting over. And then you drum up
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: these ignorant reasons mans for staying with it. But they
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: sound so good when you listening to everybody else you're
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: surrounded by telling you why we gang banging? Why we
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: holding this block down? Why we slanging this thing here
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: right here? Why we letting it go like this here?

  Speaker 1: You keep listening to them when all in your heart
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: of hearts you know this ain't right, You already know,

  Speaker 1: but you allow that form of the call of the

  Speaker 1: wile that wanting to be accepted by a group of

  Speaker 1: people who trying to get you to accept the way,

  Speaker 1: so you con further, they progress to even prove that

  Speaker 1: you're worthy to be around them, got to commit some

  Speaker 1: type of crime to even prove that you're worthy to

  Speaker 1: be around them. Then when you get busted on the crime,

  Speaker 1: what happens to that where your family are Now they

  Speaker 1: don't come down there to see you because guess what,

  Speaker 1: they can't turn in They idea to desk at a
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: law enforcement center. So now your homies can't come visit you.

  Speaker 1: And then you know your family back out here, they

  Speaker 1: ain't taking care of your family because it's all about them.

  Speaker 1: Then you learn that what is it that's stopping you

  Speaker 1: from having the life that you always wanted to have?

  Speaker 1: What is it? Why are you a repeat offender? Why

  Speaker 1: do you keep checking yourself back into that institution? Why? Man,

  Speaker 1: why won't you get it together? Why won't you give

  Speaker 1: God a try? Why won't you disassociate yourself? Why would

  Speaker 1: you continue to be a part of a revolving door

  Speaker 1: system and becoming a farm system for these institutions that

  Speaker 1: ain't got nothing for you? But you keep going back

  Speaker 1: in there. And then every time you go in there,

  Speaker 1: and now your little home or your gang bangy, little

  Speaker 1: little silly little friends try to make you think that's

  Speaker 1: a badge of honor. There ain't no badge of honor. Man,

  Speaker 1: that's one mold. What's one more scratch on that record?

  Speaker 1: That's one mold. That's one more nail in that coffin.

  Speaker 1: That's one step closer to that third strike where you

  Speaker 1: ain't gonna ever get out. It's one step closer to

  Speaker 1: that graveyard. You keep on. Why would you not give

  Speaker 1: God a try? Why would you not go and see

  Speaker 1: what your life could really be? What is it that's

  Speaker 1: stopping you? Because see, I got news for you. There's

  Speaker 1: nothing like waking up free. I don't care who you are.

  Speaker 1: There's nothing like waking up with the joy in your heart. Now,

  Speaker 1: if you ain't gonna be free, get the joy in

  Speaker 1: your heart, the satisfaction of knowing that you're accomplishing something

  Speaker 1: with your life. Help somebody behind them balls, get in

  Speaker 1: the program, Show these young cats when they come in

  Speaker 1: a better way. But don't you dash sit there, man

  Speaker 1: and just ride it out, and man, just go and

  Speaker 1: get the fullest life that you can have. What you

  Speaker 1: know what it feels like to wake up and be

  Speaker 1: on your way somewhere knowing that you have something to accomplish,

  Speaker 1: that you can change somebody that you can stop somebody

  Speaker 1: from going down the roads you went down. It's a

  Speaker 1: whole lot of ways to make your life better, But

  Speaker 1: why would you not go and have the best life

  Speaker 1: you can have? What is that's stopping you? Really? Really? So,

  Speaker 1: you think that Satan really has your best interest at heart,

  Speaker 1: That the little thing your mama kept telling you about

  Speaker 1: praying you wasn't listening was you. But you know, it

  Speaker 1: ain't ever too late to get back to that. It

  Speaker 1: ain't ever too late to turn around, it ain't ever

  Speaker 1: too late to get your life together, it ain't ever

  Speaker 1: too late to seek God, and it ain't ever too

  Speaker 1: late to pray. Don't forget to pray, don't be ashamed

  Speaker 1: to pray, and don't be too proud to pray, because

  Speaker 1: prayer changes things. Prayer change people too. I'm a witness
