The Silver Squeeze 2.0: Why $230 Silver is No Longer a Fantasy · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

0:00
Major breaking stories in the world of precious metals, silver
0:05
and gold. We're going to cover them all in
0:07
this video. We have big news, two big news
0:10
stories out of China. We're going to cover the COMEX.
0:13
We're going to talk about $230 silver and why one of the
0:17
smartest people that I know of in the precious metal sector is
0:22
talking about that reality happening sooner as opposed to
0:25
later. We got big news out of Mexico
0:27
and silver squeeze 2 dot, though of course that will have to do
0:31
with our friends over at the comex the paper electronic make
0:36
believe fantasy island silver market.
0:38
But first we're going to go take a look at what is happening
0:41
right now live and thank you for being here with me live.
0:45
What a big deal you're in the basement with me right.
0:48
It's a big honor that you give your time.
0:50
Please subscribe to the channel. That way you'll get more and
0:53
more content. Give this a thumbs up, leave a
0:55
comment in the comment section and please super chat, super
0:59
thanks. Our never expected, always
1:01
appreciated. Let's go out and take a look at
1:03
the silver and gold price. And as we see right now in the
1:08
silver futures market, again, for those of you who are new,
1:13
this is the silver COMEX March 2026 contract.
1:19
We are up $3.20 and silver. What I want to point out to you
1:23
guys is we are doing very, very well.
1:26
Shoot, I put my crayons away. Look, OK, look at this right.
1:31
Look at this beautiful upward trend line.
1:34
It's OK if we take a breather. I don't want to be the Debbie
1:37
Downer. I want you to stay with me
1:39
because we got a lot of exciting things to talk about.
1:42
But it's going to be OK if we take a breather.
1:44
Remember, there's going to be volatility.
1:47
These green days are awesome. We love them.
1:50
But the price will go up and down, up and down.
1:53
And really, I mean, just a week ago, we were talking about
1:56
silver consolidating in the 70 to $80 range.
2:00
That's where I think there could be some massive healthy
2:03
consolidation, but I hope I'm wrong and that we do hit like
2:08
we're going to talk about later, $230 silver within the next four
2:12
or five months. Anyhow, a lot of lot of drama, a
2:16
lot of sensationalism going on right now in silver in
2:20
particular surrounding what's going on in Mexico, which is
2:24
very unfortunate. We don't like violence.
2:26
There's gang violence going on, but people are making this into
2:30
a huge, huge deal. Let's talk about what's going
2:33
on. Look at the facts and then
2:34
decide how it is this being over sensationalized or is it not?
2:40
Could this be a major story that impacts the silver market in
2:45
2026? So what we're talking about is
2:47
gang violence. And I have this to share with
2:50
you first. Hold on here one second.
2:54
Hopefully you guys can see me and hear me having a little tech
2:57
issue. Let me go back here.
2:59
Yep. OK, we're up.
3:01
All right. This came from Grey Rabbit
3:03
Finance Cartel. These are the cartel territory
3:07
in Mexico, overlaps directly with some of the most important
3:11
silver mines on Earth. I've got a video clip we're
3:14
going to look at next, which is very disturbing.
3:18
Silver's geopolitical risk premium is wildly underpriced,
3:22
and that's what a lot of people are putting the story out.
3:27
I'm not saying I agree or disagree.
3:29
I just want us to talk about this and see if it if we do
3:32
indeed think this is something that's going to have some type
3:35
of major impact on the silver price.
3:37
And this was unexpected, but here's the map that shows all of
3:41
the territory, all of Mexico. The darker colors on this map
3:45
are where the cartels are very active and the lighter colors
3:49
are where they're not so active. So as you can see, this is not
3:53
the entire country of Mexico. That's the problem with the
3:57
news, right? The news will show us oh, hold
4:01
on here guys. The news will show us all the
4:04
most sensational clips. Big fires going on at Costco.
4:08
You probably saw that one like it.
4:10
If if you just watch the news, you might think, oh, the entire
4:13
country is, is, is like on fire. And, and the reality is it's, it
4:19
is somewhat isolated. I'm not in Mexico.
4:21
I'm not a Mexican expert. But from the people I've talked
4:24
to, they said this is concentrated in certain areas.
4:28
Now we're going to watch a video clip just to prove that there
4:31
are issues and very unfortunate and mildly disturbing a video
4:35
clip. But look at this, that that was
4:38
happening on the highways in Mexico.
4:42
We'll start that. Hold on here.
4:47
Hold on. Now, we're on the right screen.
4:49
Here we go. OK, this happened on the
4:51
highways of Mexico, trucks and blocking highways.
5:01
Now, this was probably from a day and a half two days ago, but
5:05
it just demonstrates that while it's not everywhere.
5:08
And then he shoots out the hire, which is just wild.
5:12
You think that was happening so bad for the truck driver,
5:16
although it looks like he was not hurt in this situation.
5:22
We'll see how this plays out. Again, it just shows you how
5:26
sensitive the silver market is. And, you know, this could be a
5:31
big story. This could, I don't know.
5:33
But the bottom line is there's a lot of uncertainty in the world
5:36
right now. I mean, shoot, that's in Mexico.
5:38
And don't forget, OK, Mexico or the United States of America
5:45
imports 80% of our silver, 80%. We only produce 20% of our own
5:50
silver in the United States. And we know how critical silver
5:53
is. We won't go down that path.
5:55
Critical critically needed for all types of industries, not
5:59
even not even counting what the investors need, right?
6:02
But we import 80%. Mexico produces 25% of the world
6:10
silver. I may have overspoke somewhere
6:12
between 20 and 25%, but you get the point.
6:16
That means for every 4 ounces of silver that are produced in
6:21
2020, five 2026. For every 4 oz that are
6:25
produced, one of them came from Mexico.
6:28
So if this does indeed and people are talking about, well,
6:31
it's, you know, making it difficult for the mining some
6:35
some of the mining companies to truck their ore or their
6:38
products, whatever, this could have an impact.
6:41
We'll keep a close eye on it. But there's a lot of other big
6:44
stories that are very, very supportive to silver, including
6:48
the Comex, which we're going to talk about next.
6:50
First, I want to say thank you to channel sponsor first meant
6:53
they are a silver specialist meant that you can buy silver
6:57
from they're located in Las Vegas, NV.
7:01
They're owned by First Majestic Silver who mines the silver,
7:05
sends it to 1st Mint in Las Vegas where they create world
7:08
class silver bullion products and then it goes straight to
7:12
you. Yes, it's never touched by the
7:15
Comex or the LBMA. You can learn more about them at
7:18
First mint.com. Let me show you their website
7:21
here really quickly. There's their new year of the
7:24
horse coin. It is absolutely beautiful and
7:28
it'll scroll through a few more. There's the the Buffalo round.
7:32
You can go to the store, check out bars, rounds, other
7:35
accessories as well. And right, because we are
7:39
basement dwellers down here, that's what we call ourselves.
7:43
There's a special discount code for you, VIPRB.
7:47
Let's have some fun with what's going on at the COMEX.
7:50
And then let's hear from Andy Scheckman, the rock star of the
7:54
precious metals world. He gives a real clear
7:57
description of what is happening right now in these paper
8:01
markets, in the bigger picture of the of the COMEX, the LBMA,
8:06
what's going on with the big exchanges.
8:08
But first, we'll go check out with Bob the Bullionaire.
8:11
We got the the squeeze O meter. This is classic.
8:16
Here we go. There's Bob the Bullionaire Code
8:19
red for squeeze. The March 26th squeeze meter is
8:23
at 2.88, OK. That was as of February 23rd,
8:28
50, but that's 52% higher versus December 2025.
8:34
One point 8-9 at the exact same stage.
8:37
What I believe he is comparing here is the are the outstanding
8:41
contracts versus the actual silver that is in the registered
8:46
category in the vaults at the COMEX.
8:49
Let's give, let's give. Bullying Bob has fair, fair due
8:53
here. And here we go.
8:55
I'm going to put it on full screen for you.
8:57
This is cute. Code Red, the March squeeze
9:00
meter is at 2.88. back in December it was 1.89.
9:03
That's 52% worse now. Code Red, the March squeeze
9:07
meter is at 2.88. back in December it was 1.89.
9:09
That's 52% worse now. All.
9:12
Right, Thank you Bob. The bullying air now guys look
9:15
shoot we are having some stream yard issues.
9:18
I hope you guys can see me and hear me.
9:21
I got some great news for you. A silver squeeze will happen.
9:25
Silver squeeze, 2 dot O, silver squeeze 3 dot O, whatever you
9:30
want to call it, it's going to happen, no doubt about it.
9:34
But I want you to consider something very important.
9:37
We actually don't want it to happen right away, right?
9:41
We want it to happen at a later date when the price of silver
9:46
has gone much higher than where it is right now.
9:49
There will be a squeeze. Don't worry about it.
9:51
OK, There's, there, there. It's mathematically at this
9:55
point nearly impossible. But the longer the squeeze is
9:59
delayed, OK, the more powerful, the more force it will build up.
10:04
And if it starts from a higher price level, the higher the
10:08
price will go. I think that's why we hear some
10:11
of the top analysts out there talk about silver price
10:14
predictions. We're going to talk about $230
10:16
later, but you got Michael Oliver saying that we could have
10:20
234500 dollars silver this year. Other top people saying it as
10:24
well. Excuse me.
10:26
Don't worry, the silver squeeze is coming and again, we want to
10:34
wait as long as possible. Now let's listen to what Andy
10:37
Scheckman has to say about what is going on in these precious
10:41
metals markets right now because he drops a couple good bombs in
10:46
this short video segment. Here we go.
10:49
Here is Andy Scheckman, super respected.
10:52
He's the owner of Miles Franklin, founder of Miles
10:55
Franklin with his dad I believe it was, and a guy who carries a
10:58
lot of weight in the world of precious metals.
11:02
Now I've got the right screen up.
11:04
Here we go by. The way what did silver just get
11:07
called? Oh yeah, critical mineral for
11:09
national security. For the past 16 months, they
11:12
have been importing whoever they is every single month, billions
11:17
and billions and billions and billions and billions and
11:19
billions and billions and billions of gold and silver in
11:21
the comex and the story that nobody has caught.
11:24
I've been screaming about it over and over and over again.
11:27
Redundant as hell. But I'm waiting for Jim Cramer
11:29
or someone on the outside who is supposedly working on behalf of
11:34
the people of this country as a as a commentator, financial
11:37
commentator, say, you know, yes, we've all noticed that gold and
11:40
silver have done so well. But can anyone explain to me?
11:44
Who the hell? Is bringing in hundreds of
11:46
billions of dollars of gold and silver and to the tune of
11:49
billions every single month, which never happened and it's
11:53
all standing for delivery. Now, standing for delivery
11:55
doesn't mean it leaves the COMEX.
11:57
It could be held within the COMEX vaults in a category where
12:00
those ounces are not for sale. OK, But much of it is leaving
12:04
the COMEX. What we are seeing in terms of
12:06
the delivery volume and the delivery repetitiveness and
12:10
leaving COMEX is 4 of snow in Death Valley in July.
12:15
That is how big of an anomaly it is.
12:18
OK. Did you catch that last part?
12:22
All right. What we are seeing right now in
12:24
these markets is the equivalent of 4 feet of snow in the middle
12:28
of July in the middle of Death Valley.
12:31
I think we've established that the paper markets are screwed
12:34
up. We know that.
12:35
We know what's coming up here with the upcoming March
12:39
delivery. It's going to be crazy to watch.
12:42
We could have a squeeze. We could have major fireworks,
12:45
right? I'm predicting that they'll kick
12:47
the can down the road, but eventually that will.
12:52
Now, just when you thought there wasn't any more, we can go to
12:56
China for two huge stories about silver, $100 silver in China.
13:03
Let's go check in with our friend the Shanghai Ghost and
13:06
get the latest data of from hold on here.
13:10
Uh oh Oh no hold on guys, I'll be right back.
13:14
I'll be right back and to do I want to get the Shanghai Ghost
13:21
up here. Here we go.
13:25
Here we go. OK, now sorry about that.
13:30
There's our friend the Oriental Ghost.
13:33
Hey, congratulations, Silver stackers.
13:36
Because in the in the physical Shanghai Gold Exchange, the SGE
13:41
market, there's AG the periodic element symbol for silver.
13:45
On the SG E, we have $100 silver and if we go down to the
13:52
Shanghai Futures Exchange, we have $104.00 silver.
13:57
I mean, all of us know the reason why that's so important
14:02
is because China is becoming the world price setter for precious
14:08
metals, right? Between China and India, They're
14:11
happy to take. Why do you think they're
14:13
willing? Why do you think the price for
14:15
silver in China is nearly $10 higher or more than $10 higher
14:20
than what we have in the United States?
14:23
OK, they're willing to pay that much for silver.
14:26
Think about it, right? We don't have to be, excuse me,
14:31
excuse me, Albert Eisenhower to figure that one out.
14:35
But wait, there's more because there may be more fuel being
14:39
added to the Chinese market because they made some
14:42
adjustments to their margins and limit sizes on their markets.
14:46
Let's see if I can find the right tab here.
14:49
Hold on, hold on. Here we go.
14:57
Found it. Sorry, guys.
14:58
The streaming software is acting up.
15:00
I'm hoping you can still see me and hear me.
15:02
This came from the international stacker.
15:04
Massive breaking news. Huge win for gold and silver
15:08
stackers. The Shanghai Gold Exchange just
15:11
dropped the hammer in a good way.
15:13
OK, Gold contracts. OK.
15:16
Margins have been slashed by 21 per slash from 21% to 18%.
15:22
I apologize. Daily limits from 20% to 17%
15:26
silver from 27 to 24% margins and 26% to 23% margins.
15:34
What does this mean? And Gray, this is the is the
15:37
exact reverse of the brutal margin hikes that we have that
15:42
that helped trigger the January and February crashes.
15:45
It lowers barriers, which equals Chinese traders can now load up
15:50
with way less capital and it provides more liquidity.
15:54
Plus more buying equals real upward pressure on physical
15:58
premiums and spot prices. People can basically use more
16:02
leverage now in the Chinese markets.
16:04
As I understand it, China, who is the world's number one
16:08
physical buyer, just turned the lights back on after the Lunar
16:12
New Year. Your bars and coins just got a
16:14
massive Shanghai tailwind. Maybe that explains why we're
16:19
seeing such upward pressure on silver and gold over the last
16:23
few days. People likely knew this was
16:25
coming, but there's even more to talk about with China because we
16:30
got big news when it comes to the solid-state battery industry
16:35
and guys that could be majorly transformative as we go into the
16:40
next three to four years for the silver market.
16:43
And we've got some data that is incredible to read.
16:46
OK, first I want to say thank you to 1st Mining Gold for
16:49
sponsoring Ron's basement. They make this live stream
16:53
possible. They are a gold development
16:55
stage company with two big multi million ounce projects, gold in
16:59
the ground in Canada, spring pull in Ontario and Duparque
17:04
located in Quebec. There aren't a lot of huge
17:08
development stage gold projects in good jurisdictions, in
17:12
particular in Canada. You can learn more about them at
17:16
firstmininggold.com. Now let's go to China.
17:20
So the solid-state batteries are for EVs and they're going to
17:25
give like like 1000 mile range. They're a lighter, excuse me,
17:32
sorry, having some voice problems with somewhere.
17:34
They're lighter. They're they're safer.
17:37
They're everything in the one of the biggest automakers in China
17:41
put out some great, great news. Let's check it out.
17:43
And then I've got the data to show you what this could mean
17:47
for the silver sector. And we go to this is called a, a
17:52
publication called Electric, which I imagine follows the EV
17:57
sector. solid-state EV batteries are rolling out in China.
18:02
It's happening, promising nearly 1000 miles of range.
18:06
Like what is the current batteries, current EVs, That's
18:09
the big knock. They go like 350 miles,
18:11
whatever. So these these new solid-state
18:14
batteries will be in huge demand.
18:17
Changdan Automotive, one of China's BIG4 state owned car
18:23
makers. So this is one of the four
18:24
biggest automakers in China will begin deploying solid-state
18:28
batteries batteries in vehicles over the next few months.
18:33
The Chinese auto giant announced on Tuesday that it will begin
18:36
trial installations before the end of the third quarter.
18:42
And why is this a big deal? Cuz I asked Google Google AI to
18:46
tell me about how much silver are going to be in these new
18:49
batteries and they said this. Chang Gans silver solid-state
18:55
batteries compared to standard lithium ion batteries, which is
18:59
what EVs use now. Chang'ans solid-state batteries
19:04
developed and partner with Thailand New energy represent a
19:07
massive shift in silver usage. Silver content comparison.
19:13
This is what we want to look at right here.
19:15
OK here let me circle this. Standard lithium ion batteries
19:20
use about 50 grams of silver, which is what about about
19:24
roughly 1 oz OK, the new solid-state silver battery anode
19:30
uses about 1 kilogram of silver, so almost 30 ounces of silver
19:39
per battery. And when you look at the numbers
19:42
of electric vehicles that are being produced worldwide, but
19:45
then you focus in on China and you start to extrapolate how 3
19:50
or 4 years from now, if all those electric vehicles go from
19:54
having basically an ounce of silver in them to having a
19:58
kilogram or over 30 ounces of silver, it's absolutely
20:02
staggering. Oh, did we forget to mention
20:05
solar panels? Did we forget to mention that
20:10
the world mining output of silver has been trending down
20:14
for almost the last 10 years? Did we forget to mention right
20:20
that the silver mining industry is not projected to start
20:23
producing more silver on an annual basis until the year
20:27
2030? Think about that four years from
20:30
now, right? With all the solar panels being
20:33
manufactured, with these new solid-state EV batteries being
20:36
manufactured, all that silver, silver in the next 4 years,
20:40
that's going to be needed by industry in an environment where
20:45
the silver mining sector isn't able to produce any more silver.
20:49
Why? OK, because most silver, what,
20:53
7080% of it is mined as a byproduct of other metals, zinc,
20:59
lead, copper. OK, They don't.
21:02
It's a by product. They aren't looking for silver.
21:04
It just happens to coexist with the copper or whatever.
21:08
So there's not like there's going to be a huge increase in
21:12
the amount of silver being made available.
21:13
I tell you what, everywhere we look, it looks wonderful and how
21:18
about the how about some Debbie Downer?
21:21
Let's Debbie Downer but a good good for the price of gold and
21:24
silver. I love this from pure metals
21:26
last night. This is what's going on in the
21:29
world. Think of all of this within the
21:32
framework of silver. In Mexico, we have a cartel war
21:35
escalating. In Iran, we have conflict
21:38
spreading. Crypto is suffering, banks are
21:40
failing, jobs are vanishing. All this data's been coming out.
21:45
Dollar weakening, silver dealer sold out.
21:48
He said it's not one Black Swan, it's a flock of black Swans,
21:53
right? And what's the anecdote?
21:55
There it is right there, silver. Now let's go.
21:58
Let's just let's hear something from Rick Rule.
22:01
Rick Rule is one of the wisest, considered one of the most
22:05
respected people in the world of silver and gold.
22:09
And we talked about this. We want to be mentally prepared.
22:12
We are not going to go straight up, right?
22:14
Silver, stocks, bonds, anything. None of it always goes straight
22:18
up. That's just the way markets
22:20
work. And Rick Rule has a great little
22:23
clip that I think really puts things into perspective for us
22:26
when it comes to silver. Let's silver.
22:31
And there he is. Let me pull this up on full
22:34
screen. There's Rick.
22:36
Great guy. What a benefit to the precious
22:39
metals community, and let's hear what he has to say about silver.
22:44
You look at silver since the time I bought it at $18.00, did
22:47
it decline from $18.00 to $75 or not?
22:52
What people who are newer to this market will come to
22:56
understand, Mike, is that these pull backs are a normal and
22:59
natural part of a bull market. You're old enough, I think, to
23:03
remember, like myself, the decade of the 1970s where the
23:07
gold price ran, if my memory serves me correctly, 20,
23:09
sevenfold. Four times in that decade there
23:12
were pullbacks of 25% or more. And in fact, in 1975, that
23:16
market pulled back by 50%. Without derailing the bull
23:18
market. Well, these secular and cyclical
23:22
declines, well, in fact, probations of the market are
23:27
normal and natural. They can be unnerving to people
23:30
who aren't used to them. It's important that one focuses
23:34
on the reason why a bull market is in existence and ask
23:38
themselves whether or not the perturbations and price that
23:41
they see have derailed the bull market.
23:43
In terms of the reason why the bull market exists, If you have
23:48
a grounding, if you understand the reason why markets are
23:51
moving, you will better be able to endure these declines.
23:57
Well, OK, guys. So there you have it right
23:59
there, right. We need look, I am wildly
24:02
optimistic and I believe a lot of you are as well in terms of
24:05
where the value and price of silver can go.
24:08
We're going to hear from the happy Hawaiian next about $230
24:13
silver a little sooner than most of us are anticipating.
24:17
We're going to get to that. But but we are, we are wildly, I
24:20
am wildly, I don't know about you, you know your, what your
24:23
price projections, expectations are.
24:25
But the silver price I believe can go to numbers that most of
24:29
us can't even comprehend at this point.
24:31
The other thing we need to be wildly realistic about is that
24:34
there will be volatility like Rick Rule said, right?
24:38
Even during the 70s when the gold and silver price went up,
24:41
these multiple massive, one of the biggest bull markets ever
24:45
for precious metals, there was like 45% pull back in the gold
24:49
price. I think silver, I've seen charts
24:51
where silver's during these massive bull runs has 25,
24:54
thirty, 45% pull back. So we want to be prepared that
24:59
that's not it, that that's not a, a defect, right?
25:03
In the silver and gold markets. That's actually a feature of
25:07
those markets. Now let's talk about the happy
25:09
Hawaiian. And this guy, right, is smart.
25:12
He's very highly respected. He got started on that platform
25:16
called Reddit. A lot of people give him credit
25:19
for the original silver squeeze that happened.
25:21
When was that? Right after the C-19 situation
25:24
had occurred. He does deep, deep research and
25:27
he did deep research back then. He continues to do deep research
25:32
and he has some interesting things to say about silver.
25:34
Let's look at a couple recent posts that he has put out in
25:39
terms of what we can expect in the silver market.
25:41
Here's the first one OK, $200 silver up by June 30th.
25:48
Here's my update and boom, let's get the chart up for you so you
25:53
can see it. There you go $200 silver by June
25:58
30th. There's the update and you can
26:00
clearly see right the trend that he's seen, but it gets even
26:05
better because then the happy Hawaiian had this to tell us.
26:08
He says. My current best estimate is we
26:12
put in a multi year top on silver around around $230 in the
26:19
first half of this year, $230 in the first half of this year.
26:25
That means before June 30th, platinum gets rejected at its
26:29
all time high resistance of about 3850 and gold will top
26:34
about around $8000. But right.
26:37
And he's realistic. But then he says this, then we
26:41
come back to then, then we come back to life in 2028 after two
26:48
years in the wilderness. So what he's calling for are
26:51
some pretty immediate right? We're almost in March.
26:55
So that gives us four months like like unbelievable returns
26:59
in both the gold but especially the silver market, $230 per oz
27:05
and then maybe a year and a half right where we kind of
27:10
consolidate again. Look, I'm happy to consolidate
27:13
as I've shared with you in the 80, the $80 range for the silver
27:17
price, even something in the 70s.
27:19
But you've got happy Hawaiian who's very highly followed and
27:25
looked up to for some great research and insights that he's
27:29
provided in the past. Another person you got Michael
27:32
Oliver, heck, you name Bank of America, that was talking about
27:35
the potential, right? If everything winds up that
27:39
silver could get to 309 dollars. I don't know, guys, maybe we're
27:42
maybe I'm being too, too, too conservative in my estimates.
27:46
We'll see how it all plays out. I super appreciate you joining
27:50
me down here in the basement today, OK?
27:53
Please subscribe to the channel. We're going to keep on this
27:55
journey together. All right?
27:57
Take care and I'll see you. Yes, you.
28:00
I see you. I'll see you next time.
