unknown tongues being spoken. These giants would love way up

feast on the body. Then people start to get

The battle, this war that we are at.

In the high places, it's really worthwhile to read the Bible

Yeah, no, I'm, I'm excited. I'm excited 'cause you know, I,

I love the whole Council of God. So as much as I, you may not

hear me speak about things like this often, but I'm reading it

and behind the scenes at home, you know, in the meantime,

between time, I'll, I'll read all this stuff.

So I, I, I, I need God's encouragement and, and I'll

share that, you know, the start of this year.

And this happens with every. Well, I shouldn't say this is

the third time because it's my third book once I'm really

getting started where I feel like, OK, I've done my research

now because I research before I write.

I kind of map out the book of the chapters and how I want it

to flow. And then I just do a lot of

research, get my sources together, and then I start

writing the book. And once I'm really rolling, the

enemy comes in and man. And so January was a brutal

month with sickness, family, work was crazy.

I mean, it was just, everything was like, it felt like my life

was falling apart. So this type of spiritual

encouragement, something I, I rely on daily just to make it

through. So I'm excited to do this.

So let's talk a little bit about what it looks like on a daily

basis to come before the Lord and then share with us, you

know, side by side with that. What is the most important

message for the millennial generation today, in your

opinion? Yeah.

So on a, on a daily basis, you know, to me, you know, The funny

thing is like we, we have a lot, we, I want to say we, I mean,

Americans like our society today.

We have a, we do a lot of the similar things, right?

And, and the reason why is technology, right?

So if you ask 10 people, what's the first thing you do when you

wake up in the morning, there's a very good chance at least

seven of them are going to say, I checked my phone.

There you go, right. They're going to say, I check my

phone, I'm checking social media, I'm looking at my

Instagram, I'm seeing who liked my comments or whatever, right?

And So what is that saying, right?

God, you know, Jesus talked about your eye, you being

single, right? Whatever is filling your eyes,

right? The eyes, the you know that

that's where your eyes are, right?

Wait, that's, that's guiding everything else.

And so as hard as it is, because I get it, I, I look at my phone

all the time. So it's not like I don't use a

cell phone. I have two phones.

So I, so I, so I'm not anti technology, I'm not anti cell

phone, I'm not anti social media.

However, it's priorities First things first.

And so to me it's like you have to start your day with the word.

So I'm very blessed to have a, a good friend here in Dallas, my

man Brian, who's kind of a nut job like me, who doesn't mind

waking up at Batman hours. So he does, he organizes very

early morning Bible studies and it's a group of men.

And man, I, I have to tell you, I feel like I can take the world

on when I come out of that sixth, like we was going to meet
5:57
at 5:30 or 6:00 AM and we get, we, we get it in and chopped up

for an hour. Go through a full chapter

scripture. Everyone has to give their

commentary on it, break stuff down, look at Hebrew, look at

Greek and then pray together. And this the, the energy that I

feel coming out of that. It's like nothing that's going

to happen to me today is going to stop me.

God is with me. God, it's like, and that there

is such a blessing in doing that.

And you, so I, I, to me, you can't go out your front door

without spending some time with God.

Like that is like, OK, I'm, I'm going into a war zone and I'm

going to leave all my weapons on my, on my bedside table.

And I know there's a literal military battle taking place in

the street outside of my house. So to me it starts there.

And, and when you think about it, you know, we quote Ephesians

6 all the time, you know, you, and that's something in churches

outside of church. So that's a very popular, we

wrestle not with flesh and blood, but principalities and

powers, spiritual wickedness and so on.

But you know, the Bible, the language of the Bible is

amazing, right? Because it says we wrestle,

right? So it's saying we don't, of

course we don't wrestle with people, right?

We're supposed to love fellow human beings.

We know that, but we are wrestling with the fallen

angelic realm, with the with Satan's army.

Wrestling is close quarter combat, right?

You have to be a few inches from somebody to wrestle with them.

It's my hands are on you, right? I'm trying to get you on the

ground. And so when you think about

that, the Bible's telling us that's what's happening every

day. And so you have to prepare

yourself, you build yourself up. And so just even if you have a

minute, 2 minutes to get on your knees and pray just, and

sometimes and you don't, and you know, and I say this all the

time, I'm like, if you don't know what to pray, just thank

God for what you have. Thank God I'm alive another day.

Thank you God that I'm saved. Thank you God that I have a bed,

a room for home, a cell phone, right?

Because a lot of, you know, 70% of the world doesn't have a

smartphone. So give him praise, give him

thanks, and just ask him to bless me, watch over me, protect

me, protect my loved ones. And so to me, it starts there.

You know, I have AI, have a men's devotion.

It's two or three paragraph devotions. 1A day has the date

They know that we're busy. Just spend a little bit of time,

But you know, to me, you got to start that way.

And it's not just the battle of the enemy, but it's also the

deal with people. We have to take it.

We have to be mindful the fact that, you know, God didn't just

put us here for knowledge, right?

God put us here to serve others, to be a light, right?

To be salt and light, to be different, to be a testimony, a

living testimony of him, right? I'm writing right now about

Genesis chapter 1. You know, my whole book is

about, is dealing with, you know, the, the, the earth before

Adam, the ancient earth and the, and the judgment that takes

place between Genesis 1 and Genesis 11 and Genesis 1/2,

right? And the whole idea of the gap

theory. And it's all about that.

And so I was talking about when God says God appointed a greater

light to rule the day and a lesser light to rule the night,

right? The sun and the moon.

And so the sun is symbolizes as a typology of God, right?

You know, it's that when obviously Jesus calls himself

the light of the world. The sun is what lights the

world. In the Old Testament, he's

called the sun SUN of righteousness.

When the sun of righteousness, righteousness, they'll come

forth. So it symbolizes him.

And so he's the greater light. So who's the lesser light?

That's the moon. Who's that typifying?

That's typifying us, right? And the moon doesn't generate

its own light. It reflects the sun's light,

right? That is our roles too.

So when we prepare ourselves spiritually, yes, it's a battle.

Yes, I have children, I have a wife.

I want to protect my home, protect my marriage, protect

them. However, I also want to prepare

myself to be a light for God to be you know, and like I said you

it's very rare I'm an interview with someone talks about love

and you did that brother. And that's what God is love.

And that's we can't forget that in all of this, that we have to

be out in the world being loving, being compassionate, and

sharing God's truth and whether it's through our words or more

importantly, through our behavior, through our actions,

how we treat people. And so that's why to me, the

spiritual preparation is so important is that we have to be

that living. We're here to reflect God's

light and to bring people in. You know, when Noah, you know,

in the, in the days of Noah, you know, in Hebrews, it says that

he when he was building the ark, it says, you know, he was a
10:57
preacher of righteousness. So he wasn't just building it to

save him and his family. He was trying to get other
11:03
people on as well. They didn't believe him, but he
11:06
was at least trying. And like, that's who we are

right now because we know the flood is coming, right?

We, the flood being the great tribulation and everything that
11:15
comes with it. We have to be out now in the
11:18
world preaching righteousness, living with righteousness,

living with love, sharing Jesus, sharing the heart and the love
11:24
and the feet in the hands of Jesus to bring others onto the

ark before that flood begins. And it, and The funny thing too,

I love the fact that it didn't rain before the flood.

It says that God watered all the vegetation with the mist that
11:39
came up out of the ground, I believe was a hyperbaric

environment actually, which is why people live so long by the
11:43
way, and before the flood. And so the idea of so much water

coming from the sky that it was going to actually wipe out
11:53
buildings, going to be up above your head, that much was
11:56
unbelievable. But when you think about some of

the things we we talked about earlier coming from the sky, it

sounds unbelievable to people, but we have to still preach it

and introduce people. And our so much of our witness

is in our demeanor in how we treat others.

And so that's a part of it as well.

And I think again, being an encouragement to people,

fellowshipping with believers, right?

We, we're made for communion, we're made for family, we're

made for brotherhood, sisterhood.

And so I think that's the other part of it too, in living your

life out is serving the world, building yourself up, but also

having fellowship. Like I said, when I'm with those

brothers, they, they're filling me up.

I'm getting, I'm, I'm inspired, I'm, I'm encouraged, I'm

inspired, you know, and we talk each other off the ledge, you
12:50
know, we know not, you know, I, you know, occasionally, you
12:54
know, in my 15 years of marriage, there are some issues.

And so we'll say, listen to my friends.

Listen, I've been to the same thing.

I've been the same thing. You have to give her grace, love

her like Christ, love the church sacrifice, give her grace just

like you just said, you know, look at all the stuff the

disciples did and he just forgave them.

He's just like, OK, and so, but even that.

So even that aspect of it, as it might sound small, but that's

huge for me. It's a huge part of my life,

knowing I have people I can rely on who I can, who will bear my

burdens with me. And they can, and vice versa.

They can tell me whatever is on their minds and I can help them

and encourage them. And so that to me is those are

essentials in this world we're living in.

We are bombarded from the moment we pick this up.

We are bombarded with so many other messages and distractions,

even if they're not evil. It's just distraction after

distraction after distraction. To keep your mind on heavenly

things. You got to do those those steps.

Man, that is so powerful and, and that is the encouragement

because that that's my experience as well.

And, and I just reiterate and testify that that that's exactly

right. You know, we have a Thursday

men's prayer call and we've been doing working fellowships in the

last month. I've been man, I think I've been
14:19
to probably 15 different cities in five States and North

Carolina. Shout out to Aaron and Michael

Basham from Fringe radio Network And and just the other day, you

know, Klaus came up, Klaus Chavis and and, and the whole

gang man, and we're doing home church.

Yeah. And and that's been going on for

almost three years now is just we meet and we just pray.

And like you said, it's like sometimes you're behind the

scenes, right? You're talking each other off

the ledge in a way. Not not factually, you know,

it's not like. But we have had that.

We have one guy who got on all right.

So I haven't talked about this on air, but we had one guy

somehow land on our Thursday night prayer call from Florida

because we have guys in from all around the country.

And he was drinking and, and, and I, I could tell I was

picking up on it. And so the, the Holy Spirit

quickened me and I told him, I said, and he might even listen

to this or shout out to him. I'm, I'm sharing your testimony,
15:17
but I won't use his name. And I, and I called on to him
15:22
and I said, man, whatever you're drinking, you need to pour it
15:24
out now because God just quickened me and said, you're
15:26
not going to keep the life within you if you keep drinking.
15:29
And he pours out this bottle and then he's just all emotional and
15:34
sobbing and, and we're, I have no idea how this guy got on here
15:38
from somebody, you know, somebody gave him the line and,
15:41
and we're, we're just ministering to him and loving on
15:43
him and just not underestimating the power of love.

Well, here the next day, he reaches out to the guy, one of
15:51
my good friends who he was affiliated with, who, who got on
15:53
the prayer call and said that he had to get his stomach pumped.

And the doctor said to him, one more drink, you would have died.

Wow. Well he drove up from Florida 2

weeks later and got baptized at our house church meeting right

here. He drove 1000 miles because he's

like, I want to be where you guys are.

I want to experience God, I want the shift.

So these are some of the testimonies that come out of the

fellowship. Everything you just depicted,

sometimes we literally are talking each other.

Off the ledge. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

But on the daily grind, like, like having that core group of

guys, man, that is such an important message for every
16:28
generation, especially the millennial generation, but every
16:32
generation, yeah, people to do life with, man.

You, you need connection, you, you need it.

And, and so much of this world today is encouraging us to be

isolated, to communicate from our bed.

We don't need it alone, right? We communicate with the whole

world, just type something, right?

But that's not fellowship, right?

Like we, you have to share things to speak to each other.

And you can, you know, you can achieve so much more in a 5

minute zoom call than making comments on 55 Instagram posts,

right? There's so much, there's a lot

more spiritual growth in actually speaking and sharing

ideas, sharing problems, sharing good news, whatever testament,

good testament praises all those things, right?

It's all it's all a part of it. It's all a part of it and

accountability as well, right? Because you know, we all

stumble, we all sin. And so having people, you can

confide it and say, Hey, listen, you know, I'm a mess, whatever

it is. Like you said, his brother came

on drinking on live, right? Actively on the call.

But but, but you know what? That's who you want coming on

the call that to you, when you bring you that, when you have

that spirit of true fellowship, that true spirit of love.

You want to welcome somebody who's drunk, You want to welcome

somebody who's high. You want to welcome somebody who

just came out of prison, you welcome them.

So that's who Jesus want. That's who Jesus is, That's who

he is. That's who he's looking for.

That's who he's looking. For broken.

And so that's the opportunity because that's authenticity.

One person, if one person, it affects them and changes their

life. If one person gets saved, if one

person hears the truth, that's enough of a reason to put the

effort in. Because the the Bible says that

there's a celebration in the heavens when one repents.

The angels are actually man. It's a grand orchestra, right?

And that's the heart of God, right?

He leaves the 99 for the 1. And so I talked about this.

God wanted to probe the heart and use my, my voice to be a

words of salt, right? And to just re remind that into

the environment. Like never underestimate the

power of love, bro. We can have everything else and,

and we need all the other. You know, the Bible talks about

gifts, but there's one spirit, 1 truth and one baptism.

You know, some of us are teachers, some of us may be more

like shepherds. Some people may just like I want

to hit the front door. I, I'm an evangelist.

I just want to go tell everybody that I know.

But but love is this overarching qualification for us to do it

and and for that to please the father.

And So what you mentioned with community and camaraderie and

coming together and and having a group of people.

That is what what I've seen absent the church buildings are

there. And I'm not here to disparage

the church, right? But there's a difference between

a building and a body, a group of people that do life together,

man. And that was highly, that was

highly encouraging for me as well.
