- 0:03Speaker 1: Okay, so let's no no no no no no no
- 0:08Speaker 1: no no, you're sober. You're cool to drive? Are you
- 0:11Speaker 1: a good Stone driver? Well, I guess we're going to
- 0:13Speaker 1: find out when we leave here. Honey, honey, honey. Saw
- 0:23Speaker 1: is a generous way of putting it. I was out.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I was. That is the most lit I have been
- 0:30Speaker 1: in eons. It was. It was embarrassed. I can't. I
- 0:33Speaker 1: woke up the next morning. I was embarrassed. Virgins For
- 0:36Speaker 1: for those of you who don't who may have missed
- 0:39Speaker 1: part of that conversation, apparently my co host and our
- 0:43Speaker 1: producer were hanging out without me in Los Angeles, and
- 0:47Speaker 1: Fran was wasted while it happened and doesn't even remember it,
- 0:51Speaker 1: so I don't care. Um anyways, I have to say, um, yes,
- 0:56Speaker 1: I I was out. I embarrassed myself in front of
- 0:59Speaker 1: a professional colleague in an unprofessional way, because we keep
- 1:04Speaker 1: it really just squeaking it real professional over here, like
- 1:08Speaker 1: the way Phoebe just came back into the zoom chat
- 1:11Speaker 1: to glare at me, to say, to be like, you
- 1:15Speaker 1: think this is professional? Yeah? You all? If you follow
- 1:17Speaker 1: us at like a Virgin nine, you've seen the trans
- 1:20Speaker 1: lesbian cent our porn we send each other, which I
- 1:25Speaker 1: took me at least thirty minutes to censor. There was
- 1:28Speaker 1: so much to blur out. All that is to say,
- 1:31Speaker 1: I'm like super hungover from the weekend. I was living
- 1:35Speaker 1: out of a suitcase from June through October Rose. My
- 1:40Speaker 1: suitcase was literally open, and I was traveling, traveling that's
- 1:43Speaker 1: really hard to my body. But when I came back,
- 1:46Speaker 1: I felt so disconnected from my l A fam And
- 1:48Speaker 1: so when I reached out to people and I was like,
- 1:51Speaker 1: I'm back in l A finally, like let's hang again,
- 1:53Speaker 1: Let's go pregame, let's go to a drag show, let's
- 1:55Speaker 1: go to the strip show, whatever, and so that that's
- 1:58Speaker 1: what happened this weekend. Um, So I'm very However, that's
- 2:01Speaker 1: honestly something I can't relate to. I that's one one
- 2:05Speaker 1: of my favorite Yeah, one of my favorite things about
- 2:07Speaker 1: not drinking is not ever being hungover. But I feel
- 2:12Speaker 1: like it's hard to You're very good at navigating that
- 2:14Speaker 1: I don't drink thing. You're very just like I don't drink. Well,
- 2:17Speaker 1: that's actually something that's only like pretty recent because you know,
- 2:21Speaker 1: I like, I mean, as as i've talked about before.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I used to work in nightlife, and drinking was really
- 2:29Speaker 1: just kind of like a social crutch, and not even
- 2:31Speaker 1: a crutch, it was more like a social prop because
- 2:34Speaker 1: it feels weird to be at a party and not
- 2:36Speaker 1: to have a drink in your hands, especially the kind
- 2:38Speaker 1: of parties I was at. But I've never really been
- 2:42Speaker 1: interested in drinking, but always felt like it was something
- 2:45Speaker 1: I needed to participate in socially. And then even when
- 2:48Speaker 1: I wasn't partying anymore, it still was like I would,
- 2:51Speaker 1: you know, maybe have like a cocktail every once in
- 2:54Speaker 1: a while, or like a beer on vacation. But actually,
- 2:58Speaker 1: since moving back to New York, I've been reconnecting with
- 3:01Speaker 1: people or like connecting with new people, and you know,
- 3:05Speaker 1: the like go to if someone is like, yeah, let's
- 3:07Speaker 1: let's meet up for a drink, And what I just
- 3:10Speaker 1: started saying is, oh, I don't drink, but like, let's
- 3:13Speaker 1: meet up for coffee. And it actually has been really
- 3:17Speaker 1: nice for me to define it that way, because the
- 3:21Speaker 1: last thing I want to do is be at a
- 3:23Speaker 1: bar when I don't drink, because the worst thing you
- 3:27Speaker 1: can do is someone who's sober is be around people
- 3:30Speaker 1: who are drunk, and it's just nice to have that
- 3:34Speaker 1: finally defined and to not be in that sort of
- 3:38Speaker 1: like in between place. And I just don't ever want
- 3:42Speaker 1: to be around drunk people ever. Again. Yeah, I mean,
- 3:46Speaker 1: you're amazing at navigating it, Slash. You just do it
- 3:50Speaker 1: because I feel like most people would absorb what is
- 3:53Speaker 1: the really like icky reliance on alcohol in social spaces,
- 3:57Speaker 1: especially queer social spaces, Like it's someone in a group
- 4:00Speaker 1: says I don't drink. I mean, I do think that
- 4:03Speaker 1: there's more respect for it now, like people are having
- 4:05Speaker 1: better conversations about sobriety, even though what you're doing is
- 4:09Speaker 1: not necessarily sobriety so to speak, in the way it's
- 4:12Speaker 1: often associated like nowadays, but like a lot of times
- 4:16Speaker 1: people are like, you don't drink, but like why but
- 4:18Speaker 1: like just one drink? Like are you going to have
- 4:19Speaker 1: a mocktail but like still be with us? Or like
- 4:21Speaker 1: people really feel like if you're not drinking, then like
- 4:25Speaker 1: we can't have fun Like and yeah, I don't feel
- 4:28Speaker 1: like that at all. Like I'm if I'm out at
- 4:30Speaker 1: a dinner and people are drinking, I don't feel any
- 4:33Speaker 1: type of way for it. It's more I mean as
- 4:35Speaker 1: Kim Control famously said, I don't ever want to be
- 4:38Speaker 1: in a situation. I don't want to put myself in
- 4:41Speaker 1: a situation where people are gathered with the explicit purpose
- 4:46Speaker 1: to drink and get drunk. I understand that we live
- 4:49Speaker 1: in a world in which people drink alcohol in social situations.
- 4:53Speaker 1: That's fine, But I'm not trying to be in social
- 4:55Speaker 1: situations that only exist because of alcohol. Extremely curious on
- 5:01Speaker 1: your answer to this, what are your thoughts on mocktails.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I'm totally about mocktails. I actually have started asking at
- 5:08Speaker 1: restaurants when people are ordering drinks if they have them
- 5:12Speaker 1: or one of my go two's has now become getting
- 5:15Speaker 1: a seltzer with bidders, which is a lovely, lovely little beverage,
- 5:22Speaker 1: or you know, like a brunch getting a juice or something.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Love that. Okay, we love a juice moment. But I'm
- 5:28Speaker 1: also just fine drinking water, I don't know, that's whatever,
- 5:32Speaker 1: or or a Coca Cola. Yeah, I mean, I know.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I honestly like being in l a where you have
- 5:36Speaker 1: to drive everywhere. I've like welcomed the fact that, like
- 5:40Speaker 1: I can't drink because I have to drive, you know,
- 5:42Speaker 1: Like I like drinking in certain scenarios, but like, I
- 5:44Speaker 1: don't really want to drink every time I go out,
- 5:46Speaker 1: Like it's just not necessary a lot of the time
- 5:49Speaker 1: in order for me to have fun. And yeah, I'm
- 5:52Speaker 1: glad that, like, you know, more and more people are
- 5:54Speaker 1: figuring out, like what their relationship to alcohol is. On
- 5:58Speaker 1: the on the of figuring things out, you might have
- 6:01Speaker 1: noticed that this is a slightly different discussion than the
- 6:06Speaker 1: ones we normally have at the beginning of our episodes,
- 6:09Speaker 1: and that is because, you know, after a year of
- 6:11Speaker 1: doing the show, and we have now been doing like
- 6:14Speaker 1: a Virgin for a year, and we recently found out
- 6:16Speaker 1: that in that time we've had over half a million downloads,
- 6:19Speaker 1: which is incredible showstopping. Um, we are thinking a little
- 6:25Speaker 1: bit about how to reinvigorate the show and make it
- 6:31Speaker 1: more enjoyable for us and more enjoyable for you the listeners,
- 6:34Speaker 1: because as much as we love obviously consuming media, that
- 6:38Speaker 1: is like the whole point of this podcast is talking
- 6:41Speaker 1: about media and what it means to us. The news
- 6:45Speaker 1: segment at the beginning of the episodes especially, is starting
- 6:48Speaker 1: to feel a little formulaic, starting to feel a little
- 6:51Speaker 1: bit so much like we are showing up with lists
- 6:54Speaker 1: of things that we have to have takes on rather
- 6:57Speaker 1: than very like fill in the blanks yeah times and
- 7:00Speaker 1: not like, you know, an organic conversation about ourselves our lives,
- 7:05Speaker 1: and we would like it to maybe be more of that.
- 7:10Speaker 1: But also we kind of want to try experimenting with
- 7:14Speaker 1: a few different ways to do this this opening segment,
- 7:18Speaker 1: and we also want your opinion on what you think
- 7:21Speaker 1: it could be. Yeah, and not just the opening segment,
- 7:23Speaker 1: but just like just how the show is brought together
- 7:26Speaker 1: with that segment and how we make this show, like
- 7:28Speaker 1: we're thinking about you, the virgins, and also just like
- 7:31Speaker 1: what excites Rose and I and Phoebe and yeah, we
- 7:35Speaker 1: we want to do that with you. So, um, if
- 7:37Speaker 1: you have opinions on like, you know, what brings you
- 7:40Speaker 1: to the show? What episodes do you skip? Like, what
- 7:43Speaker 1: parts are your favorite, what are your least favorite? What
- 7:45Speaker 1: do you wish we talked about? Are things that you
- 7:48Speaker 1: wish that we could visit every week? I think we
- 7:51Speaker 1: want to hear from you, and so we are releasing
- 7:54Speaker 1: a survey. This is probably the only time we'll do this,
- 7:57Speaker 1: So this is your opportunity that collights A bunch of
- 8:00Speaker 1: questions asking for feedback on the show, and now is
- 8:03Speaker 1: your opportunity to give it. Actually, like we really do
- 8:05Speaker 1: need you to give feedback, Like it'll help us so
- 8:08Speaker 1: much to shape this show and just to like move
- 8:11Speaker 1: into the next year. You can click that link in
- 8:14Speaker 1: the show notes. Maybe Rose and I will post it
- 8:16Speaker 1: on our social and as a little incentive, we'll be
- 8:19Speaker 1: giving a certified virgin hat to three lucky survey filler
- 8:24Speaker 1: outers picking at random. Uh, we haven't decided on a
- 8:28Speaker 1: deadline yet, but like we'll figure out a deadline just
- 8:30Speaker 1: for now. Make sure that you fill out this survey
- 8:34Speaker 1: ahead of the holidays, and I think over the next
- 8:37Speaker 1: couple weeks months, we will just be playing around with
- 8:42Speaker 1: the show and trying things out and seeing what sticks.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And um, we you know, we love that you all
- 8:51Speaker 1: listen and are so passionate about the show, and um,
- 8:55Speaker 1: you know, welcome us into your ears every week, and
- 8:57Speaker 1: we just want to make the best show possible, y'all,
- 9:00Speaker 1: and also the best show for us because we put
- 9:04Speaker 1: a lot of work into this and you know, we
- 9:08Speaker 1: want it to continue to be fun to do. Also,
- 9:12Speaker 1: fran your hair is looking very share like right now.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Oh my God, thank you. Yeah, it is giving a
- 9:18Speaker 1: little moonstruck, like the scene after she gets like the
- 9:20Speaker 1: little perm and she's like standing outside the opera. Thank you.
- 9:23Speaker 1: That's like the nicest compliment anyone could ever give me.
- 9:26Speaker 1: It is moonstruck season, after all, it is moonstruck season.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And say that I did something really exhausting yesterday, which
- 9:35Speaker 1: is I walked around Soho on a Sunday afternoon. Oh God,
- 9:42Speaker 1: why what for? Well, you know, I'm in the in
- 9:46Speaker 1: the middle of decorating my apartment. My best friend Ryan,
- 9:50Speaker 1: who works in interior design, is doing my apartment for me,
- 9:54Speaker 1: And we had picked out a couch from crighton Barrel,
- 9:59Speaker 1: but wanted to go see it in person and sit
- 10:02Speaker 1: on it before we ordered it. So we went to
- 10:04Speaker 1: the Crane and Barrel and Soho and the style of
- 10:08Speaker 1: couch that I want is the only one that they
- 10:11Speaker 1: don't have in store. And so it's always that way,
- 10:15Speaker 1: isn't it. Yeah, So we like looked around for a while,
- 10:19Speaker 1: didn't didn't really see anything else that was like met
- 10:22Speaker 1: the specific requirements we were looking for. And so then
- 10:25Speaker 1: after that we went to CB two, we went to
- 10:28Speaker 1: some other furniture stores and like Soho on a Sunday.
- 10:33Speaker 1: It was very much giving. We were about to be
- 10:36Speaker 1: stopped by someone with a tiny microphone making a TikTok
- 10:38Speaker 1: like you and I had that time at the Grove.
- 10:41Speaker 1: It's Billy on the street who it was, um and
- 10:44Speaker 1: we were We had plans to go to Brooklyn Museum
- 10:50Speaker 1: afterwards to see the Muclaire exhibit, but after after being
- 10:53Speaker 1: in Soho for a couple of hours, I just had
- 10:57Speaker 1: the last thing I wanted to do was go walk
- 10:59Speaker 1: around a muse him on a Sunday. No, so I
- 11:03Speaker 1: simply gave up and came home and finally finished season
- 11:09Speaker 1: five of The Crown. Oh wait, what did you think
- 11:11Speaker 1: of the end? You know? I, Um, I think it
- 11:17Speaker 1: should have ended with Diana dying. I like don't understand
- 11:21Speaker 1: why season five didn't end with Diana dying. And yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and also like they were really pushing approach charles agenda
- 11:30Speaker 1: this season is that it's so the categorical opposite of
- 11:35Speaker 1: last season. They're like, Charles is the progressive, Like look
- 11:38Speaker 1: at how like, you know, like forward thinking he is.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I'm like what? And yeah, I was like I was
- 11:43Speaker 1: wondering if maybe it was because they were trying to
- 11:45Speaker 1: remain somewhat objective, but I think they swung too far
- 11:48Speaker 1: in the other direction, you know that being said, I
- 11:52Speaker 1: love the Crown, I as I just like, I will
- 11:55Speaker 1: watch however many hours of it are made. I just wonder, like,
- 12:00Speaker 1: is the show going to end with like Megan recording
- 12:04Speaker 1: her podcast is not going to be the last seed
- 12:07Speaker 1: of the Crown? Not? No, yeah Megan with Oprah and Harry,
- 12:12Speaker 1: um not Harry? Is that his name? I don't know
- 12:14Speaker 1: any of the royals names. Yeah, Harry, Harry us okay,
- 12:19Speaker 1: Frince Harry, that's the one. We also say that the
- 12:21Speaker 1: guy that plays Charles is way too hot. It is hot.
- 12:25Speaker 1: It's it's not right, it's it's it's not right. I
- 12:28Speaker 1: honestly did not care about the royal family before the Crown,
- 12:31Speaker 1: and I still don't care about I still don't. But
- 12:34Speaker 1: the thing is, this is the only thing that I
- 12:36Speaker 1: care about. The Crown. I don't care about I don't
- 12:39Speaker 1: care about the real people. I care about the Crown.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Let's be very clear. I care about the Crown, not
- 12:44Speaker 1: the Crown as in her Royal Majesty's the Crown. Wait,
- 12:48Speaker 1: this is this is like okay, I'm gont it's okay.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I was like, I was gonna text you this, but like,
- 12:53Speaker 1: maybe this is podcast appropriate um in the vein of
- 12:57Speaker 1: our inndc's episode and also our porn episode the the
- 13:00Speaker 1: other night. Actually literally last night, I was, you know,
- 13:02Speaker 1: looking at porn for no reason in Porture, and the
- 13:07Speaker 1: reason wasn't to come no, no, no, no, of course not.
- 13:10Speaker 1: It was just recreational, like leisurely porn viewing rolling um
- 13:14Speaker 1: and the algorithm from my Twitter fed me an Indie
- 13:20Speaker 1: Slee's era Emo boy porn where they were wearing knee
- 13:26Speaker 1: high black and white striped leggings send it to me
- 13:30Speaker 1: right now, and they were wearing arm bands like black
- 13:33Speaker 1: and white like there before Christmas like arm bands and
- 13:37Speaker 1: like an emo. But it was so amazing to see
- 13:40Speaker 1: it for research purposes. It's probably an entire genre of porn.
- 13:45Speaker 1: That porn is absolutely a thing. Oh my god. Okay, Well, anyways,
- 13:51Speaker 1: I don't I honestly don't know if I will send
- 13:53Speaker 1: it to you. I think it's like, I think that's
- 13:54Speaker 1: like a professional boundary. Friend, there are there are no
- 13:58Speaker 1: professional I hate to break it to you, but those
- 14:04Speaker 1: don't exist. And thank God for it and God herself
- 14:10Speaker 1: but you know what, if I changed my mind about that,
- 14:11Speaker 1: you will be hearing from my attorney. Ak, my grandpa.
- 14:15Speaker 1: It is your your grandpa, My grandpa is My grandpa
- 14:19Speaker 1: is my attorney. When I signed with my agent, I
- 14:21Speaker 1: sent the contract to my grandpa and he was like,
- 14:24Speaker 1: he was like, I don't know anything about this, but
- 14:27Speaker 1: um looks good. That is a sketch. That's a character
- 14:29Speaker 1: in the show. It's like, and you'll be talking from
- 14:31Speaker 1: my attorney anyways, Nana, where you what's like the boy
- 14:36Speaker 1: version of Nana? I don't even what do people call
- 14:39Speaker 1: their grandpa, pops, Papa, Papa, Papa? You are like papa.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I have several family members who listened to our podcast
- 14:48Speaker 1: and I had to I had to one of them.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I had to explicitly tell not to listen to the
- 14:53Speaker 1: porn episode, and the other two told me that they
- 14:56Speaker 1: skipped it. Good. My my cousin Ali a thanks Giving, Um, Ali,
- 15:01Speaker 1: if you're listening, love you. Um. You know, outed herself
- 15:04Speaker 1: to me as a virgin and said, but there are
- 15:08Speaker 1: some episodes that I do skip because they get a
- 15:11Speaker 1: little a little too. I don't think I should be
- 15:14Speaker 1: listening to this. And you know what, I love boundaries. Yeah,
- 15:17Speaker 1: that sounds great. That's good for your cousin. I have
- 15:19Speaker 1: no family members that listen to this. Honestly, it's it's
- 15:22Speaker 1: my My relationships are stronger when my friends and family
- 15:26Speaker 1: don't listen to this podcast. Um, that's not totally true.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I'm being facetious. I love it when people listen to
- 15:31Speaker 1: my podcast, our podcast. I I am very happy to
- 15:37Speaker 1: know that people who um have to hear me talk
- 15:41Speaker 1: in real life also want to hear me talk um
- 15:44Speaker 1: through their headphones. Do you ever do that thing though,
- 15:46Speaker 1: where you're look at the You're like at like that,
- 15:49Speaker 1: you know, at drinks quote unquote, like at dinner or something,
- 15:52Speaker 1: and then you start telling a story that you told
- 15:55Speaker 1: on the podcast, and then you're like, oh wait, I
- 15:57Speaker 1: think someone here listens like they've already heard me tell this. Sorry, no,
- 16:01Speaker 1: because as we've established, I don't remember anything I've ever said.
- 16:06Speaker 1: It doesn't apply, of course, of course, of course, I okay,
- 16:24Speaker 1: I Oh my god, why am I going right there?
- 16:26Speaker 1: I get so lonely in l A. L A is
- 16:29Speaker 1: a lonely, lonely city, and weed makes me feel less alone,
- 16:34Speaker 1: like all the time, Like it does. It sometimes make
- 16:36Speaker 1: you feel more alone, yes, of course, but like I
- 16:39Speaker 1: think that all of the positive things about weed at
- 16:42Speaker 1: the end of the day provide me a sense of
- 16:44Speaker 1: company because I'm basically talking to myself and making jokes
- 16:48Speaker 1: with myself and stuff like that, and I love that
- 16:50Speaker 1: and I love well it turns up the echo chamber
- 16:53Speaker 1: in your brain, so you have an audience. It's so
- 16:56Speaker 1: funny though, because like it does make my brain feel
- 17:00Speaker 1: is more fluid, like less anxious about what people have
- 17:03Speaker 1: to say, and then at the same time go on
- 17:05Speaker 1: these crazy anxious spirals. Does your like weed brain ever
- 17:10Speaker 1: go down like weird catastrophizing around something that would never happen.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Of course, my sober brain does that too, but but
- 17:17Speaker 1: for me it's these like tiny little circles. Were just like,
- 17:20Speaker 1: it'll catastrophize this paranoia. Mama, Yes, the paranoia is paranoying.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, But anyways, I didn't mean to go all
- 17:28Speaker 1: the way there, because weed is great. I love weed. Yeah,
- 17:31Speaker 1: we're both already were Yes, okay, virgins. You know those commercials,
- 17:36Speaker 1: it's like your this is you on Drudge, Yes, the
- 17:39Speaker 1: person who's melted into the cow. It's like, do you
- 17:42Speaker 1: promise I want that to be and honey, let's be real,
- 17:45Speaker 1: that was me. That's me on kedemy and every time
- 17:50Speaker 1: I'm on oh my god. Yeah. No, weed does not
- 17:53Speaker 1: make you feel like I mean, maybe like a dank
- 17:55Speaker 1: Indica would make you feel like that, but I don't
- 17:57Speaker 1: think we'd should ever make you feel kind of neck like,
- 18:01Speaker 1: that's not my what do you How do you like
- 18:04Speaker 1: to feel on weed? I like, I like to feel relaxed,
- 18:08Speaker 1: a little floaty, a little silly, and maybe it, depending
- 18:14Speaker 1: on time of day, kind of sleepy. I don't really
- 18:17Speaker 1: smoke weed to feel like up and social, although that's
- 18:21Speaker 1: definitely the way that I smoked weed for like most
- 18:26Speaker 1: of my twenties. But now I'm an Indica girl, you know,
- 18:29Speaker 1: I want to be chill vibes. When did you smoke
- 18:32Speaker 1: weed for the first time? Room? I was a scene,
- 18:38Speaker 1: I want to say, a senior in high school. I
- 18:40Speaker 1: had basically I had been a nerd my entire like
- 18:45Speaker 1: like school career. Like. I went to the same school
- 18:47Speaker 1: from kindergarten to like high school and was a loser
- 18:50Speaker 1: all the way up until my last two years. And
- 18:53Speaker 1: I finally made friends with the cool kids that had
- 18:54Speaker 1: the weed, so we got like I think we smoked
- 18:58Speaker 1: in a park and listened to Grizzly Bear. That sounds beautiful.
- 19:05Speaker 1: It was, it was great, But I remember being like,
- 19:07Speaker 1: so it was more about the psychosomatic facts. I felt,
- 19:11Speaker 1: you feel really sick, you feel really dizzy and anxious,
- 19:14Speaker 1: like I feel like you usually feel like the negative
- 19:16Speaker 1: things with first experiences with weed, because you're probably smoking
- 19:19Speaker 1: bad weed. You know, we were in like high school,
- 19:22Speaker 1: what about you. The first time I smoked weed was
- 19:25Speaker 1: at camp, and I just kind of got very giggly.
- 19:27Speaker 1: What kind of camp? Sleepweight camp? Oh, like a Jewish
- 19:31Speaker 1: sleep away camp. It was predominantly Jewish, but it was
- 19:34Speaker 1: you know, um not like it was secular. Yeah, it was,
- 19:38Speaker 1: it was secular, just curious. I feel like all my
- 19:41Speaker 1: friends have like a formative Jewish sleep away camp experience.
- 19:44Speaker 1: It was where all my first were and weed was
- 19:47Speaker 1: one of them. And but then in high school was
- 19:51Speaker 1: probably the first time that I bought weed with the
- 19:54Speaker 1: intention to smoke it. And then, you know, very but
- 19:57Speaker 1: quickly became some one of a stoner, and then much
- 20:02Speaker 1: more so in college. I'm the opposite. I mean not
- 20:06Speaker 1: the opposite, but like I became a stoner, like I
- 20:09Speaker 1: did not really smoke weed that much up until I
- 20:14Speaker 1: moved last you were more of a pepper pepper girl. Yes,
- 20:17Speaker 1: I did not like what we did to my brain,
- 20:19Speaker 1: and like you know, I would like socially smoke sometimes
- 20:22Speaker 1: but usually not. And I even actually had these roommates
- 20:26Speaker 1: that were stoner's minds, and I hated the smell of
- 20:28Speaker 1: weed and hated weed in the house. And I was
- 20:31Speaker 1: such a fucking dork about a little narc Yeah, I
- 20:35Speaker 1: was like a little not I mean, never tattled, okay,
- 20:37Speaker 1: but I but I was like, it was narc behavior.
- 20:40Speaker 1: It was it was you were judgmental. It was narc passing,
- 20:44Speaker 1: not narc passing. Okay, big r A energy, Yeah, exactly.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I would make a great r A obviously. I think
- 20:51Speaker 1: I had more access to weed in college and freshman
- 20:55Speaker 1: year of college when I lived in a dorm. My
- 20:57Speaker 1: dorm was on fifty five Street in Midtown, and there
- 21:01Speaker 1: was a smoking spot that we used to go to
- 21:03Speaker 1: that was across the street from our dorm in like
- 21:07Speaker 1: a bank that was one corner of a city block,
- 21:10Speaker 1: and it had like a weird little like ramp with
- 21:13Speaker 1: a corner where everyone from our dorms went to smoke
- 21:15Speaker 1: weed and that like that's why I think things like
- 21:19Speaker 1: that is so much about weed, like when I was
- 21:22Speaker 1: a really big stoner, and I think for a lot
- 21:23Speaker 1: of people, so much about weed is the ritual of weed.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Where you smoke, how you smoke, you know, all of
- 21:30Speaker 1: the different paraphernalia. Yeah, that are I think your relationship
- 21:35Speaker 1: to like art and culture and like what you're consuming
- 21:37Speaker 1: while you're like there's just like a whole like ecosystem.
- 21:40Speaker 1: When I was younger, and this is how I think
- 21:43Speaker 1: I have changed with smoking weed is when I was younger,
- 21:47Speaker 1: weed was much more social, and now it has become
- 21:51Speaker 1: something that is more of a solitary thing, which is
- 21:54Speaker 1: not as fun. Yeah, I us, no, it's not. I
- 22:01Speaker 1: mean I had a lot of I mean one like
- 22:07Speaker 1: I had a ball with weed alone because we had
- 22:10Speaker 1: to be alone in the pandemic and so like that
- 22:13Speaker 1: was just like a relationship like I built with myself,
- 22:15Speaker 1: like with weed. Weird weirdly enough, but like so like
- 22:19Speaker 1: I actually have more experiences smoking alone than I do
- 22:23Speaker 1: have smoking like with people, probably, which is really weird
- 22:27Speaker 1: because I love smoking with people. But yeah, that's it's
- 22:30Speaker 1: just a consequence of like when I took it up,
- 22:33Speaker 1: so I'm kind of I was like the virgin to
- 22:34Speaker 1: eat almost Where can you roll a joint? Yeah? Absolutely,
- 22:38Speaker 1: because I used to roll me own cigarettes in college,
- 22:40Speaker 1: so it would probably be Yeah, I would rolled my
- 22:43Speaker 1: own cigarettes. I did that when I studied abroad in London. Girl,
- 22:48Speaker 1: I was rolling my own cigarettes without filters. Every awful
- 22:52Speaker 1: boyfriend that a female friend of mine has had has
- 22:56Speaker 1: been the kind of guy who rolls his own cigarettes. Yeah.
- 22:59Speaker 1: That It is such a particular type of vibe, and
- 23:03Speaker 1: the vibe is the crush in ethel Cat's crush Like, yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 1: it's like his brother, his dad's on death row, his
- 23:11Speaker 1: brother back to the Valedictorian, he's hiding guns in his locker. Yeah,
- 23:16Speaker 1: that's the way where someone who's faking being that. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 23:19Speaker 1: faking being the Um what is your like? Go to
- 23:23Speaker 1: munchy food? Oh? Um? Do you get the muncheese? Oh
- 23:29Speaker 1: my god? Yeah, I have to eat. I eat so much. Um.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I will eat a rotissary chicken sandwiches or you do
- 23:39Speaker 1: that all the time anyway? Yeah yeah, yeah, love rotissary
- 23:42Speaker 1: chicken sandwich with avocado and lime. Yum. Uh. I will
- 23:47Speaker 1: also if I have nothing in the house. I usually
- 23:51Speaker 1: have frozen bread and I will make a grilled PBNJ
- 23:55Speaker 1: with bananas. Isn't that that's like a good munchy food?
- 23:59Speaker 1: What about you? That's one is really good. I don't
- 24:01Speaker 1: really get mun cheese. Yeah, maybe for like just something
- 24:06Speaker 1: sweet or chips love chips. Yeah, I I girl, I eat.
- 24:11Speaker 1: You would be shook by the amount that I consume
- 24:13Speaker 1: when I'm stoned. It's like I usually have to have
- 24:16Speaker 1: multiple meals. It's like crazy. I love food, I mean stoned,
- 24:20Speaker 1: but like, um, when what's like the highest you've ever been?
- 24:24Speaker 1: I know that I wrote this question the doc, but
- 24:26Speaker 1: I don't know that I have an answer for it
- 24:27Speaker 1: because I guess because I've done so many other drugs
- 24:30Speaker 1: that have been more overwhelming, I just it doesn't compare.
- 24:36Speaker 1: But I guess like just the most stone I've ever
- 24:39Speaker 1: been is maybe like feeling the most paranoid I've ever been?
- 24:43Speaker 1: Or anyways, I do you okay? Oh what's your answer? So? Uh.
- 24:49Speaker 1: One of my earliest memories of smoking was in college.
- 24:54Speaker 1: My best friend from college, Carl Bergman, was a stoner,
- 24:58Speaker 1: and she was one of the first people to like
- 25:00Speaker 1: make we'd feel fun with me, like I wouldn't freak
- 25:03Speaker 1: out because I was with someone I love so much
- 25:05Speaker 1: and I was visiting her in Minnesota. Uh, and she
- 25:11Speaker 1: was like, Oh, we're gonna there's this like allah like
- 25:15Speaker 1: rocky horror screening of this terrible movie called Trolls Too.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Have you ever heard of it? We were you just
- 25:23Speaker 1: talked about Okay, Okay, I know I was doing that
- 25:25Speaker 1: thing where I was doing that thing and like podcasting
- 25:28Speaker 1: where I was like pretending like we haven't already talked
- 25:30Speaker 1: about it for the sake of the of the Virgins,
- 25:32Speaker 1: but actually, like the curtain is drawn, Virgins, you were
- 25:37Speaker 1: seeing this is the fourth wall. This is Candice in
- 25:39Speaker 1: real House Ses of Potomac turning to Cameron saying, is
- 25:42Speaker 1: this what we're doing? Have you? Oh my god, you
- 25:44Speaker 1: have to watch Potomac anyways, So Trolls Too is this
- 25:50Speaker 1: like kind of cult classic bad movie. It's considered one
- 25:52Speaker 1: of the worst movies ever created. And it's like there're
- 25:54Speaker 1: no trolls in the movie as well. It's about goblins, um,
- 25:58Speaker 1: and I don't be there goblins who identify as I
- 26:02Speaker 1: love your trans reading of this movie that I do
- 26:04Speaker 1: not remember because I was so blitz out of my mind.
- 26:08Speaker 1: And we made we handmade our own like t shirts
- 26:11Speaker 1: for the trolls troll screening, and we had like just
- 26:13Speaker 1: we were sitting on the floor like holding markers and
- 26:15Speaker 1: like drawing over all over our shirts, like as writing
- 26:18Speaker 1: like trolls to and drawing pictures of trolls. It was
- 26:20Speaker 1: like the highest thing I'd ever done. And it was
- 26:23Speaker 1: like one of the first things that I ever did high.
- 26:26Speaker 1: And we went and saw this movie and I hadn't
- 26:28Speaker 1: I have no idea what the movie was or what
- 26:30Speaker 1: happened or what it was about, but it was amazing.
- 26:33Speaker 1: It was an amazing experience. Um, since you like mostly
- 26:37Speaker 1: smoked weed later in life, did you have a lot
- 26:39Speaker 1: of experiences with having to buy weed illegally or like
- 26:44Speaker 1: any drugs illegal? Like yeah, I mean in New York.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I mean, look, you reach a point in New York
- 26:50Speaker 1: where you're like everyone around me is doing drugs, and
- 26:52Speaker 1: I just I like having drugs on hand at parties,
- 26:55Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So, like, even though I
- 26:57Speaker 1: was not in nightlife as deep as you were in
- 27:01Speaker 1: my life, I still went to like so many fucking parties,
- 27:04Speaker 1: and um, yeah, I love to buy drugs. And I
- 27:07Speaker 1: love coke. I love buying coke. It makes me feel
- 27:10Speaker 1: so adult. Um, what about you. The first time I
- 27:14Speaker 1: bought weed, like in New York City, I was so scared.
- 27:19Speaker 1: And the delivery service that we used they pulled up
- 27:24Speaker 1: to my They told me what kind of car they
- 27:25Speaker 1: were coming in and said that they would pull up
- 27:27Speaker 1: to my apartment and I would get in and we
- 27:30Speaker 1: would drive a block and they would sell me the
- 27:32Speaker 1: weed and then drop me off. And I'm like, God kidnapped,
- 27:35Speaker 1: so listen, but that's literally just what happened. They picked
- 27:38Speaker 1: me up there like exchange exchange, and then I got weeds,
- 27:41Speaker 1: And I was like, okay, wow. Back in the day
- 28:00Speaker 1: when we had dare, did you ever have to watch
- 28:02Speaker 1: any of these like anti drugs? I'm sure at some point,
- 28:05Speaker 1: you know, in in school we had a launch to
- 28:08Speaker 1: p s A. We had a big we had a
- 28:10Speaker 1: big anti drug program in our health class where like
- 28:14Speaker 1: we would have to like give presentations on drugs. Did
- 28:17Speaker 1: you ever have to do this, like give a presentation
- 28:19Speaker 1: on it? Okay, so everyone but I could do it today.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Everyone in our class had to. Like so they're like
- 28:24Speaker 1: these teens that are like and harrow and it's like
- 28:27Speaker 1: these like like literally like we're like what sixteen seventeen
- 28:31Speaker 1: like and like giving presentations about ecstasy and I tried
- 28:36Speaker 1: it last week. I've never done ecstasy. I don't think never.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I mean I've done molly, which is essentially ecstasy. You've
- 28:43Speaker 1: just never done like pills. Yeah, yeah, exactly. I love
- 28:48Speaker 1: ecstasy like old school tabs of ecstasy. Yeah, that's what
- 28:53Speaker 1: I'm thinking. That's Oh my god, that was like my home.
- 28:56Speaker 1: That was college and like post college for me. Wow,
- 28:58Speaker 1: I just like took ice cream scoops out of my brain.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I honestly envied the lifestyle that you had, honestly, like
- 29:07Speaker 1: I remember being your that age and like wishing that
- 29:10Speaker 1: I was like that cool, you know, like I, well,
- 29:15Speaker 1: that's why they have things like dare is because drugs
- 29:19Speaker 1: are cool, and even my parents made them sound cool. Like,
- 29:22Speaker 1: you know, I grew up having parents who had done
- 29:25Speaker 1: drugs when they were kids, like still did drugs and
- 29:29Speaker 1: you know, smoking weed, and it was never like that
- 29:33Speaker 1: taboo for me. I also have smoked a lot of
- 29:35Speaker 1: weed with both of my parents, which is a weird experience.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I don't like being higher on my parents, but I wouldn't.
- 29:42Speaker 1: And I don't like seeing my parents or really anyone
- 29:47Speaker 1: in my family being high, because like people are silly
- 29:51Speaker 1: and stupid when they're high, and like I don't, Yeah,
- 29:54Speaker 1: you've I'm gonna go out on a limb and say,
- 29:56Speaker 1: you've never smoked weed with your parents? Not with my parents. No,
- 30:00Speaker 1: I've been high around my parents without them knowing, but
- 30:03Speaker 1: like slightly different, slightly different, like justin and I will
- 30:06Speaker 1: do that sometimes. But anyways, are you a bong person? No?
- 30:10Speaker 1: You know? I had a bong in college that I
- 30:14Speaker 1: named Neville Bong bottom shot named a lot of my
- 30:21Speaker 1: like a lot of my bowls. Okay, what other Neville
- 30:25Speaker 1: bong bottom was the best one? Nevill Bob Bottom. I
- 30:28Speaker 1: hate you? Where you am a gravity bong? Girly? No,
- 30:32Speaker 1: I think that that so I put the sawed off
- 30:34Speaker 1: soda bottle. I dated this guy um in twenty one.
- 30:41Speaker 1: I think that was like a huge stoner and like
- 30:43Speaker 1: had a bong and would always make a smoke out
- 30:46Speaker 1: of a bag and I was always just like, oh
- 30:48Speaker 1: my god, I'm so unnecessarily hot. It's a whole big deal,
- 30:52Speaker 1: and you get released. I prefer the ease of just
- 30:56Speaker 1: smoking a vape, but I love the elegance and simplist
- 31:00Speaker 1: city of a joint, and joint will forever be the
- 31:04Speaker 1: chicist way you can smoke weed. It's how I always
- 31:06Speaker 1: want to smoke weed. Yeah, yeah, it's it's the ritual
- 31:09Speaker 1: it is. And it's also like it's it's like smoking.
- 31:14Speaker 1: It's like smoking cigarette. That that is, you know, also
- 31:17Speaker 1: the ritual of it. And I don't smoke cigarettes anymore,
- 31:20Speaker 1: but I smoke joints. Do you have any relationships between
- 31:23Speaker 1: like we like sping Stone and a certain like album
- 31:28Speaker 1: or a certain like kind of music that you like
- 31:29Speaker 1: to listen or something like a memory with it, because
- 31:32Speaker 1: like I feel like I would have a totally different
- 31:35Speaker 1: relationship to something like Fetch the Bolt Cutters or I
- 31:39Speaker 1: don't know, do you have any music like that? You know?
- 31:42Speaker 1: I love to get stoned and listen to, you know,
- 31:45Speaker 1: an album in its entirety, you know, and just have
- 31:49Speaker 1: like a little movie play behind my eyelids, like you know,
- 31:52Speaker 1: Confessions on a dance Floor or something, or I love
- 31:55Speaker 1: I did in the pandemic several times got really high
- 31:59Speaker 1: and watched the video of Madonna's Confessions tour. If anyone
- 32:03Speaker 1: out there, if you have never seen. I've never seen
- 32:07Speaker 1: you have to watch it. It is incredible. I've heard
- 32:10Speaker 1: you talking about if I could, if I could build
- 32:11Speaker 1: a time machine, I would use it to go back
- 32:13Speaker 1: in time and see the Confessions tour. I feel like
- 32:15Speaker 1: I see you or Ryan tweet about it, like every
- 32:18Speaker 1: other week we do. What's your like? Go to stony music?
- 32:22Speaker 1: U one of the it's not go to but I
- 32:25Speaker 1: always think of like Victoria Victoria Manai's album with Jaguar.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I don't really listen to them a lot. Oh my god,
- 32:31Speaker 1: it's a very short album, but it was it was
- 32:34Speaker 1: so amazing. Um. Actually Chloe and Halley's album also, like
- 32:39Speaker 1: I think, yeah, but god, I don't know. I think that. Um,
- 32:45Speaker 1: I like that. I like weed when it feels like creative.
- 32:48Speaker 1: I was I was wondering about that for you because like,
- 32:52Speaker 1: obviously weed is something that you used to relax, but like,
- 32:58Speaker 1: are you able to work when you're really stoned? Sometimes
- 33:01Speaker 1: we're oftensibly working right now? Yeah, like I mean now, yeah,
- 33:04Speaker 1: it's like actually one of the rare times now I
- 33:06Speaker 1: don't really work well stoned. No, It's like I I've
- 33:10Speaker 1: tried to write well stoned, but it has to be
- 33:12Speaker 1: a very specific like a lot of different planets have
- 33:17Speaker 1: to align for me to be able to do that well,
- 33:19Speaker 1: which I have done well, but like, no, not not
- 33:22Speaker 1: all the time. I have really found that it's a
- 33:24Speaker 1: good thing to do when you specifically need something that
- 33:28Speaker 1: your high brain can provide. Like I like to get
- 33:32Speaker 1: stoned if I'm like going in and doing punch ups
- 33:34Speaker 1: to make something funnier. Um, there was a specific kind
- 33:37Speaker 1: of weed chocolate I was getting for a while that
- 33:40Speaker 1: like really put me in that headspace. But mostly I
- 33:44Speaker 1: just want to. Like in college a lot, my friend
- 33:47Speaker 1: Katie and I would My school was on the upperast Side,
- 33:51Speaker 1: so we would get really high and then take the
- 33:53Speaker 1: bus through Central Park to the Upper West Side to
- 33:55Speaker 1: the Natural History Museum and go to the Hall of
- 33:58Speaker 1: Marine Life and then just lay down on the floor
- 34:00Speaker 1: under the giant whale and just like be high for
- 34:04Speaker 1: a couple of hours. That was how we spent most
- 34:07Speaker 1: of college. That's so fun. When when I was in college,
- 34:12Speaker 1: my my stoner friend Carl Bergman, she was in this
- 34:16Speaker 1: like all women like improv troop or whatever, and um,
- 34:21Speaker 1: they would like put on like shows, and she did
- 34:24Speaker 1: this one show called quever Madness That was like a
- 34:27Speaker 1: series of sketches about weed and it was amazing. Rose
- 34:31Speaker 1: like on, I know, like I you and I feel
- 34:33Speaker 1: all type of way about like going to see like
- 34:34Speaker 1: improv shows, you know what I mean? Like sing improv
- 34:37Speaker 1: shows is is is hard sometimes, but they're also madness. Wait,
- 34:42Speaker 1: have you ever seen the movie Reefer Madness? The movie musical.
- 34:46Speaker 1: It's actually so good and I believe it. I was
- 34:49Speaker 1: obsessed with it in high school. I had a hyperfixination
- 34:52Speaker 1: on it. And actually my same friend Katie, we used
- 34:55Speaker 1: to call each other and sync up our screens to
- 34:59Speaker 1: watch it a the same time. Kristen Bell's in it,
- 35:04Speaker 1: one of the one of the things that early on
- 35:05Speaker 1: made me into a little bell hop not a little
- 35:08Speaker 1: bell hop. Um and um Nev Campbell's in it, and
- 35:16Speaker 1: her brother Christian Campbell, who's gay question Mark, he's the
- 35:20Speaker 1: lead in it, and um on your gas Dire's in it.
- 35:23Speaker 1: It's so good, it's so funny. Oh my god, I'm sure.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Also I haven't seen in a long time. I'm sure
- 35:28Speaker 1: it's also really problematic. Problem Actually, I could already think
- 35:33Speaker 1: of like three different things from it. Okay, I am
- 35:37Speaker 1: now thinking of like bad stoner movies in general, like
- 35:39Speaker 1: um like Trolls too, because like it was like a
- 35:42Speaker 1: stoner from like everyone in the movie theater was high
- 35:44Speaker 1: when I went to see that. But like show Girls
- 35:46Speaker 1: is kind of that, you know what I mean? Girls
- 35:49Speaker 1: is a little intense to watch when you're really high. Yeah,
- 35:51Speaker 1: I mean yeah, but I also famously don't like show Girls. Yeah,
- 35:54Speaker 1: you hate show Girls. I think is that there's a
- 35:57Speaker 1: little skew there, but like, but validly t I think
- 36:00Speaker 1: it's like one of those movies or like the Teeth, yeah,
- 36:03Speaker 1: or like Tommy Wi those The Room, like these movies
- 36:06Speaker 1: that I'm like that I wouldn't want to watch those
- 36:07Speaker 1: when I was high. But you've seen them, right, you
- 36:10Speaker 1: know what. I've never seen The Room. I've never seen
- 36:12Speaker 1: The Room either. I don't really I have no desire to.
- 36:15Speaker 1: But I've seen Teeth, but I don't. I don't consider
- 36:18Speaker 1: Teeth a stone or movie, but it but Teeth is
- 36:20Speaker 1: like so bad. It's one of those like extremely terrible movies.
- 36:24Speaker 1: I actually think Teeth is like kind of a good
- 36:26Speaker 1: horror movie. Wait, really, yeah, I've never seen it. Oh No,
- 36:30Speaker 1: I think it's like it's good. It's about a girl
- 36:32Speaker 1: and it's about a girl who has vaginad tata, she
- 36:35Speaker 1: has her vagina and she I mean a sexual violence
- 36:40Speaker 1: and like her getting revenge on men by cutting their
- 36:43Speaker 1: dicks off. My god, seriously, yeah, I didn't realize it
- 36:46Speaker 1: was a sexual violence film. Well, wow, maybe I'll have
- 36:51Speaker 1: to watch it. Maybe but not stone Oh my god, wait,
- 36:56Speaker 1: I need to answer your question. So um, I did
- 36:58Speaker 1: think I remembered that I pretty much exclusively watch Housewives. Don't.
- 37:04Speaker 1: I feel like it's not fun sober, and it gets
- 37:07Speaker 1: too dark because it's all their sterlines are so dark,
- 37:10Speaker 1: now you know what I mean? Yeah, they need to
- 37:13Speaker 1: smoke more weed. Yeah they do. It's so true. Honestly,
- 37:18Speaker 1: if they were drinking less vodka tonics and smoking more weed,
- 37:23Speaker 1: it would be a much less watchable show. We changes
- 37:28Speaker 1: your personality. I feel if you're doing it all the time,
- 37:31Speaker 1: it changed my person I fully don't trust people who
- 37:34Speaker 1: don't like smoking pot. That used to be me. I
- 37:37Speaker 1: don't trust people who don't like weed, Like, why don't
- 37:40Speaker 1: you like weed? It's with me? So now when I
- 37:43Speaker 1: mean people that say, oh, we don't like smoking meat,
- 37:45Speaker 1: I pretty much almost always. It depends on what vibe
- 37:48Speaker 1: they're giving. But I almost always assume, like, oh, you
- 37:51Speaker 1: haven't smoked meed that you like yet, because saying you
- 37:54Speaker 1: don't like weed is like saying you don't like wine.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Like there's so many of varieties of weed, you know,
- 37:58Speaker 1: the same way there's so many of the varieties of
- 38:00Speaker 1: wine and different experiences and settings that you're in that
- 38:04Speaker 1: make the circumstance of that weed bad or good to
- 38:07Speaker 1: you in that moment. It took me a long time
- 38:10Speaker 1: to figure out that I could actually like actively search
- 38:13Speaker 1: out strains that, you know, made me feel how I
- 38:17Speaker 1: was trying to feel, rather than just you know, smoking
- 38:22Speaker 1: or imbibing whatever I could get my hands on exactly,
- 38:26Speaker 1: and including a regano. Have you ever been sold regano?
- 38:30Speaker 1: Is it like record? Do people like smoking a regano? No,
- 38:33Speaker 1: It's just it's just like looks kind of like weeds. People.
- 38:37Speaker 1: People do it to scam people. Am I wonder if
- 38:40Speaker 1: I misremember it? So at um Muna's Halloween party, not
- 38:44Speaker 1: not this year, about last year I was there with Ash.
- 38:48Speaker 1: You were I can't remember what you were doing, and
- 38:50Speaker 1: then um, I was like we were I was trying
- 38:53Speaker 1: All of a sudden, I was trying to bump a cigarette.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Like you know, when you're at a party and like
- 38:56Speaker 1: it's outdoors, an outdoor party, and you're just like everyone's smoking.
- 38:59Speaker 1: You're like, I really want a cigarette right now. And
- 39:01Speaker 1: so I looked at Josette and I was like, hey,
- 39:04Speaker 1: can I bums? Because they I saw they were smoking,
- 39:07Speaker 1: and I I said, hey, can I get a cigarette? And
- 39:09Speaker 1: she turned to me and she was like, um oh,
- 39:12Speaker 1: there are Regano cigarettes. Like we're quitting. And I was like,
- 39:16Speaker 1: I hate Los Angeles, Like give me out of here. Yeah,
- 39:19Speaker 1: you can buy like herbal cigarette. Hey that did you
- 39:24Speaker 1: ever have a period of smoking clothes? I feel like
- 39:26Speaker 1: that's very indus So that's disgusting. No, I like definitely
- 39:32Speaker 1: like smoked a lot of clothes cigarettes at Webster Hall.
- 39:35Speaker 1: At one point in my life, I had a cigarette
- 39:52Speaker 1: recently that was yogurt flavored. Yes, they were from Tokyo.
- 39:56Speaker 1: My friend had just recently gone. They were like creamy.
- 40:00Speaker 1: It didn't even taste, yes, it was delish. It didn't
- 40:02Speaker 1: taste and it didn't taste like a flavored yogurt. It
- 40:05Speaker 1: tasted like it tasted like plain non fat yogurt, and
- 40:09Speaker 1: it tasted like creamy and tangy. Um. Speaking of weed food, yes, um,
- 40:16Speaker 1: what's your favorite? Like, do you are you a gummy girl?
- 40:19Speaker 1: Are you a cookie girl? Or you a brownie girl? Definitely?
- 40:23Speaker 1: Definitely gummies, Definitely things that are crunchy. Definitely ice cream.
- 40:26Speaker 1: What about you? Gummies are the easiest. I used to
- 40:29Speaker 1: love making brownies in college and like in in my twenties.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Actually I had a I had a roommate once. He
- 40:37Speaker 1: was like this random guy who moved in with my
- 40:40Speaker 1: old friend and I and we made weed brownies one
- 40:44Speaker 1: weekend and he we we all like my friend and
- 40:49Speaker 1: I knew to eat one each. He ate the whole
- 40:53Speaker 1: plate of them and disappeared for two days. We could
- 40:57Speaker 1: not get in touch with him, and like I truly
- 40:59Speaker 1: thought he was dead. Oh my god. And then he
- 41:01Speaker 1: just showed up on the third day and was like, Hey,
- 41:05Speaker 1: that's like so unnerving, Like you can die, can't you die?
- 41:08Speaker 1: I don't know that you could o d from weed?
- 41:11Speaker 1: Really well, how how would it happen? I don't know,
- 41:15Speaker 1: Like your body with I don't know. No, I don't
- 41:18Speaker 1: think so it's natural from the ground. From the ground.
- 41:22Speaker 1: There's nothing in the ground that can get herb. Do
- 41:27Speaker 1: you think that people can be addicted to weed? No,
- 41:30Speaker 1: I mean like on its side, Like, no, the term
- 41:34Speaker 1: addiction doesn't apply to weed. I think that the medical
- 41:38Speaker 1: a medical addiction can't like you can't get medically needed
- 41:41Speaker 1: to weed. But I think to feared dependencies, yes, that
- 41:45Speaker 1: are pretty much akin to addictions. Yes, absolutely is weed
- 41:49Speaker 1: a gateway drug? Mm hmm, No, I don't think so
- 41:55Speaker 1: what about what do you think? I mean maybe, but
- 41:58Speaker 1: I think any drug can be a gateway drug. I
- 42:00Speaker 1: it definitely is the first drug I tried, and once
- 42:04Speaker 1: I was smoking weed a lot, I felt more you know, adventurous.
- 42:09Speaker 1: But I don't know doing drugs is a gateway drugs.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I was just about to say, like the term gateway
- 42:16Speaker 1: drug is actually like so dated, like literally the first
- 42:19Speaker 1: drug that you do is the gateway drug. That is
- 42:22Speaker 1: a range of drugs. And listen, gen Z, these like
- 42:25Speaker 1: maybe our generation, like you know, we always try weed
- 42:27Speaker 1: first or whatever, but like gen Z, like these girls
- 42:29Speaker 1: are doing molly, you know what I mean, Like we
- 42:32Speaker 1: saw euphoria. Okay, they don't even like smoke weed on
- 42:35Speaker 1: euphoria though, They're like there's like we're kind of it's
- 42:40Speaker 1: like weed is too boring. It was just like um
- 42:43Speaker 1: uh narcotics. It is crazy to me sometimes, like when
- 42:48Speaker 1: I'm like standing on the street, like as we were
- 42:50Speaker 1: just twenty minutes ago, standing on the street smoking and
- 42:53Speaker 1: joint and thinking that Like when I was younger, I
- 42:57Speaker 1: was so terrified of being found smoking weed in public
- 43:00Speaker 1: and thought I was so slick, Like we used to
- 43:03Speaker 1: um smoke in a phone booth, like bring a bring
- 43:06Speaker 1: a bowl out to a phone booth on Third Avenue
- 43:09Speaker 1: and just like smoke around it and we're like, no
- 43:12Speaker 1: one knows what we're doing. My parents, it's very obvious
- 43:15Speaker 1: what you're doing, literally, like they're like everyone, a lot
- 43:19Speaker 1: of people in my neighborhood, but especially my parents were like, Maje,
- 43:22Speaker 1: you so deathly scared of getting hot smoking weed, Like
- 43:26Speaker 1: it's as if you killed someone, you know what I mean?
- 43:29Speaker 1: Well you could and I have and you have killed
- 43:34Speaker 1: a lot of people while stoned, because is a recreational
- 43:39Speaker 1: activity that you like to do. What other drugs do you? Like?
- 43:44Speaker 1: I mean, I love um kindamine. Yeah you and you
- 43:50Speaker 1: were a coke girl. I never was, or if I was,
- 43:55Speaker 1: it was for a very short time. Yeah, Yeah, I
- 43:57Speaker 1: love I love coke. It makes me feel bad, but
- 44:00Speaker 1: that's because it comes with a certain culture, and the
- 44:03Speaker 1: people you do coke with are usually like not amazing people,
- 44:08Speaker 1: if that makes sense, Yeah, which is why I usually
- 44:11Speaker 1: just I was a big psychedelic girl, you know, like
- 44:14Speaker 1: I like hippie vibes. You know. That's like I think
- 44:17Speaker 1: the weed thing. Love acid. You used to love acid.
- 44:21Speaker 1: You used to love and do a lot of acid,
- 44:24Speaker 1: but haven't done it in a long time. I never
- 44:26Speaker 1: liked mushrooms. I have no ideal acids. Like, I really
- 44:29Speaker 1: want to try acid. I mean, the thing that's cool
- 44:32Speaker 1: about acid is that it actually changes the world around
- 44:37Speaker 1: you and you see things that aren't there, and I
- 44:40Speaker 1: never felt that is very cool. I'm so scared to
- 44:44Speaker 1: do that. But I also want to do ayhuasca. Um
- 44:47Speaker 1: So I don't really want to puke. Oh I'm a
- 44:51Speaker 1: big I'm a big drug puker though, But that's a
- 44:54Speaker 1: good thing. The puking is good. It's part of the ceremony.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Like when I did coke a lot for like a
- 44:59Speaker 1: couple months, I would always puke, but it would be
- 45:02Speaker 1: at the beginning of the night. It was like something
- 45:04Speaker 1: that I had to get out of the way, like
- 45:06Speaker 1: puke on the way to a party and then just
- 45:09Speaker 1: be fine. We do have to admit there are some
- 45:13Speaker 1: drawbacks of smoking weed, like cotton mouth, which my mouth
- 45:17Speaker 1: is very dry right now. Cotton yeah, yeah, that does suck.
- 45:21Speaker 1: It also makes you anxious, makes me anxious. Bloodshot eyes,
- 45:25Speaker 1: oh yeah, yeah, I need to bring eye drops everywhere. Honestly,
- 45:30Speaker 1: I love the smell of weed, though uh yeah, I
- 45:33Speaker 1: guess I do too. I like the smoke, I don't like.
- 45:37Speaker 1: I don't love the smell, Like I don't smoke in
- 45:39Speaker 1: my house. I know you don't smoke in your house,
- 45:41Speaker 1: and you know what, that is your That is your choice.
- 45:43Speaker 1: I honestly just like, I don't like the idea of
- 45:46Speaker 1: my house smelling like weed in any regard when someone
- 45:48Speaker 1: walks into it, because like you know who, Like I've
- 45:51Speaker 1: been into a stoner's house, you know, and like it's
- 45:54Speaker 1: like seeped into it's just like come, It's just because
- 45:57Speaker 1: it's like in every part of the apartment. It's like, um,
- 46:00Speaker 1: it's like when you walk into an apartment, You're like, Wow,
- 46:02Speaker 1: someone definitely just ejaculated in here. And I love that
- 46:08Speaker 1: smell sex in the air. I don't care. I love
- 46:11Speaker 1: the smell. I love it the whole hallway smells that come.
