  Let's get started. Welcome back to Tabernacle

  Tidbits. Today we are in Second Timothy
• 0:20
  chapter 4 and verse #18 and I love this little verse that
• 0:24
  we've got today. This is the apostle Paul, and
• 0:27
  he's right about at the end of this book, this letter, which
• 0:33
  will be the last thing that he pens an inspired scripture
• 0:36
  before his death. And he writes this to his son in
• 0:38
  the faith. Timothy, the Lord will rescue me
• 0:42
  from every evil work and will bring me safely into his
• 0:46
  heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and
• 0:51
  ever. Amen.

  Going to read that one more time.

  The Lord will rescue me from every evil work and will bring
• 1:00
  me safely into His heavenly Kingdom.

  To Him be the glory forever and ever.

  Amen. Want to look at just a couple of
• 1:10
  the truths that we have from this verse #1 your salvation is
• 1:15
  not just about getting to heaven.
• 1:19
  And I think anyone that's been listening to Tabernacle talk for
• 1:22
  any length of time, you guys know that by now.
• 1:25
  But I want to reiterate it. Your salvation is about a daily
• 1:29
  walk with Jesus. And here as Paul says, God's
• 1:33
  going to rescue me, He's going to save me.
• 1:36
  He's going to preserve me, He says, from every evil work, that
• 1:43
  is everything that is wicked, that is worthless, that's that's
• 1:48
  degenerate. He says everything in my life
• 1:54
  that is wrong. God is going to save me from it.
• 1:59
  And what a joy that I am not going to have to spend all of
• 2:04
  eternity still trying to deal with my pride.
• 2:07
  I'm not going to have to spend all of eternity fighting against
• 2:11
  greed or lust or hatred. Instead, I am going to be
• 2:17
  forever free. I am going to be exactly how God
• 2:21
  created us to be at the beginning and that we would walk
• 2:24
  with him, that we would have relationship with each other and
• 2:28
  that we would walk in the love of God forever.
• 2:32
  What a joy. So God's going to rescue us from
• 2:36
  every evil work. And well, I'll, I'll say one
• 2:40
  more thing on that on that end. If God's going to save you, if
• 2:46
  you will from you, if God's going to save you from the evil
• 2:51
  both inside of you and you can think of it as well that the
• 2:54
  evil around you, the evil and sin that's in the world around
• 2:59
  us, then why would we hold onto and love what Jesus is going to
• 3:05
  rescue us from? You know, if I jumped into a
• 3:10
  like a lion cage or a lion pit at the zoo and the, you know,
• 3:16
  zookeepers are are trying to rescue and save me from the
• 3:21
  lions, I would be so stupid to run to the lions and to, you
• 3:26
  know, try and put my head in their mouths.
• 3:29
  You would say, what in the world's wrong with you?
• 3:31
  That's going to hurt you, that's going to kill you?
• 3:34
  Do not love what will harm you. If God needs to rescue us from
• 3:39
  the evil that is in US and that is in others around us, may we
• 3:45
  not love sin and may we reject it.
• 3:48
  But then secondly, not only will God rescue us from every evil
• 3:51
  work, it says He will bring me safely into his heavenly
• 3:57
  Kingdom, that there is a much better way of living that is
• 4:04
  coming. It's the Sermon on the Mount
• 4:06
  type living where we're asking for it right now every time we
• 4:10
  pray the Lord's Prayer. May your Kingdom come and may
• 4:14
  your will be done on earth just like it is in heaven.
• 4:19
  And that's what we're asking for.
• 4:20
  God, I want to be where you are. I want to be where what is done
• 4:25
  is what God wants done. Not what people want, not what
• 4:29
  the nations of the world want, but what my perfect, holy,
• 4:33
  loving, just, fair, kind God has in store.
• 4:38
  And I'm thankful that it's not, if you will, it's not a shot in
• 4:42
  the dark. It's not random.
• 4:43
  It's not. I really hope that I make it
• 4:46
  into the heavenly Kingdom instead, as Paul said, as He
• 4:49
  will bring me safely into His heavenly Kingdom, as we would
• 4:55
  read in Philippians 1 and verse #6 being confident of this very
• 4:58
  thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will bring it
• 5:03
  to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
• 5:06
  If you believe in Jesus Christ for salvation right now, God
• 5:11
  will bring you safely into His heavenly Kingdom.
• 5:16
  So what's our response to that? Knowing that God is going to
• 5:19
  save us from the sin inside of us, the sin around us, that He
• 5:24
  will bring us into His Kingdom, that we will be in His presence
• 5:28
  forever. What's our response to Him?
• 5:32
  Be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
• 5:36
  So today, don't hold on to sin. Don't love sin.
• 5:39
  Don't run to sin. Run away from it.
• 5:42
  Look forward to the Kingdom of heaven.
• 5:44
  Try and bring some people along with you that they would know
• 5:48
  and believe in Jesus and choose to glorify and praise Him today
• 5:51
  with your words and your actions.
• 5:54
