- 6:03In top news, health enthusiasts are exploring
- 6:07the potential of... SGLT2 inhibitors commonly
- 6:11prescribed for type 2 diabetes as an anti -aging
- 6:15hack. These medications, such as Jardiance and
- 6:19Farxiga, have gained traction in health discussions
- 6:22despite limited evidence for longevity benefits.
- 6:26They function by aiding the kidneys in eliminating
- 6:29excess glucose, thus improving blood sugar levels.
- 6:33While some users report positive effects on their
- 6:36health, Experts caution that more research is
- 6:39needed before recommending these drugs for healthy
- 6:42individuals. As Dr. Timothy Gaughan states, the
- 6:47evidence is not strong enough yet, but interest
- 6:49in their potential continues to grow. In business
- 6:54news, Google has expanded its return -to -office
- 6:59mandate and is offering a voluntary buyout program
- 7:02for certain United States -based employees, according
- 7:05to an internal memo. This initiative affects
- 7:09teams in core, marketing, research, knowledge
- 7:12and information, and communications. Remote employees
- 7:16living within 50 miles of an office are now required
- 7:20to follow a hybrid schedule. Google's spokesperson
- 7:23stated, a number of teams are also asking remote
- 7:27employees who live near an office to return to
- 7:30a hybrid work schedule. It's unclear how many
- 7:33employees will be impacted. and the potential
- 7:35for future layoffs remains uncertain. In crypto
- 7:40movement, Bitcoin is down 1 % to about $109 ,000.

- 8:49is in advanced discussions to invest around $14
- 8:52billion in scale AI, aiming to hire the company's
- 8:56chief executive, Alexander Wang. to enhance its
- 9:00artificial intelligence initiatives. This deal
- 9:04represents one of Meta's largest outside investments
- 9:07and reflects its efforts to revamp its AI strategy,
- 9:10following setbacks with the recent Llama models.
- 9:14As part of the arrangement, other Scale AI employees
- 9:18would also join Meta. The investment would grant
- 9:22Meta a 49 % stake in Scale AI, allowing it to
- 9:26leverage the startup's data labeling services.
- 9:29which are crucial for training artificial intelligence.
- 9:35And in entertainment news, Paramount Global is
- 9:39laying off approximately 3 .5 % of its domestic
- 9:44workforce, which translates to several hundred
- 9:47jobs. This decision comes as the media and entertainment
- 9:51company confronts a significant decline in linear
- 9:54television. and what it describes as a dynamic
- 9:58macroeconomic environment. In a letter to employees,
- 10:02Paramount's co -chief executives expressed gratitude
- 10:05for their hard work, stating, These changes are
- 10:09necessary to address the environment we are operating
- 10:11in and best position Paramount for success. This
- 10:16announcement follows recent layoffs at other
- 10:18studios, including Walt Disney Company and Warner
- 10:21Bros. Discovery, amid ongoing industry challenges.
- 10:26Well, alrighty folks, it's time for the quote
