- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39And I'm here and this is a hypnosis session all about
- 0:43freeing yourself from very addictive substances like
- 0:47cocaine. And I was working with a client
- 0:50that had a multi year cocaine habit and had short events of
- 0:57not using but then would kind of return to it.
- 1:00And it was always preceded by an inner voice that said, come on,
- 1:04you deserve it. You know, this will be fine.
- 1:07Those kind of things. But then that would pull them
- 1:09back. And this client had decided that
- 1:13they wanted to be free of this and had what they considered one
- 1:17last blowout, one last big night out using cocaine.
- 1:21And that was in the past, a few days before.
- 1:23So with this hypnosis session, I use a train metaphor to
- 1:27highlight that that was one of the stops.
- 1:29Towards a future. Where they're not using at all
- 1:33and that the inner dialogue is like a false friend.
- 1:36It's like this manipulating voice that is telling you things
- 1:39to hold you back rather than move you forward.
- 1:42And that links to this train metaphor.
- 1:45There's also other things in there as well, like seeing the
- 1:49future where they are free of the opportunity cost and a lot
- 1:54of people. Are very.
- 1:55Aware of the financial cost when it comes to cocaine, but not the
- 1:58opportunity cost. An opportunity cost is what else
- 2:03could you have done with that same time?
- 2:05Money, emotions and health and all of those hours that were
- 2:10kind of lost, What could that have been?
- 2:12Deployed with and. Another way of thinking about
- 2:15that is that if you never started that habit, where would
- 2:17you be now compared to where you are now is a nice way of
- 2:21thinking about that. And if that's true for your past
- 2:23leading up to now, it's also true for now leading up to your
- 2:26future. So if you stay on the same
- 2:28track, you're probably not going to end up where you would want
- 2:31to be if you make a change. And that's really what this
- 2:35session is all about. Some of the references are very,
- 2:38very specific to the client that I was working with and might not
- 2:42quite relate to your situation. Your substance might be nicotine
- 2:46and not cocaine, or it might be a different drug, in which case
- 2:50ignore any suggestions that aren't relevant to you and just
- 2:54accept the suggestions that are. Useful for you.
- 2:58And your situation. If you like the idea of working
- 3:01with me though, there will be a link in the description where
- 3:04you can book a completely free consultation call.
- 3:07We'll have a chat for about 30 minutes and we'll figure out if
- 3:10I'm the right person to be your. Hypnotherapist and help.
- 3:13You to create a change. For now though, let's enjoy this
- 3:17hypnosis session. So find a quiet, comfortable
- 3:20place where you're not going to be disturbed.
- 3:22Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 4:05you breathe in, breathe in that feeling of calm relaxation.
- 4:11And as you exhale, notice the feeling of complete relaxation
- 4:22in your eyelids. And as you feel that relaxation,
- 4:29notice that with your eyes closed.
- 4:32How much easier it becomes to focus on the sound of my voice,
- 4:44breathing in, relaxation and exhaling that tension.
- 4:52Each breath takes you deeper and deeper, relaxed as you breathe
- 5:06in and breathe out. I want you to feel a sense of
- 5:12gratitude for how your brain and mind is wired.
- 5:23Sometimes you can feel compulsive, focused and other
- 5:34times impatient, but just consider that your brain is just
- 5:43a different type of computer, and I want you to get a sense.
- 5:49Then you're harnessing that computer's ability to focus, to
- 5:57focus on the sound of my voice and to think about a future that
- 6:08you desire, a future not beyond reach.
- 6:16So as you breathe in and breathe out, just allow muscles within
- 6:22your body to feel like they're letting go, enabling you to
- 6:30drift deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 6:40And I want you to use the power of your imagination to imagine
- 6:48sitting on a train, and as you look out at the window, I want
- 6:56you to see another train right beside you.
- 7:02And just imagine as that train moves forward, it feels like
- 7:08you're moving back. And you're not.
- 7:14You're stationary. It just feels like you're moving
- 7:18back because that train was moving forward.
- 7:26And I want you to get a sense that over the next few days and
- 7:32weeks, as you start to move forward, certain people around
- 7:39you will feel like they're moving back and they won't like
- 7:45that feeling. And without any malicious
- 7:49intention, they will try and slow you down.
- 7:55They will try and hold you back. Not because they don't want you
- 8:00to do well and move forward, it's just that they don't want
- 8:04to feel like they're being left behind.
- 8:12And I want you to imagine your train is moving in a different
- 8:17direction towards a future. And each stop on this train line
- 8:26represents progress. And at the end of the train line
- 8:32is your destination. A future, maybe one or two years
- 8:37from now, a reunion. But right now, imagine yourself
- 8:49in a first class carriage in a reclining chair, sinking into
- 8:57that chair. And as I count down from 12:50,
- 9:03you will imagine drifting off into a dreamlike sleep there in
- 9:10that chair on that train moving forward. 10 just releasing any
- 9:21tension in your forehead, and then nine, around your temple
- 9:29and your cheeks. 8, breathing and relaxation and exhaling any
- 9:34tension in your jaw. And then seven, just feel that
- 9:42relaxation going down, down into your neck and your shoulders.
- 9:49As seven becomes 6, your arms start to relax now limp, loose
- 9:57and heavy, continuing to take a deep breath in and a long breath
- 10:06out. And then five, feel that your
- 10:11internal organs are all relaxing, your heart, your
- 10:15lungs, your stomach. But I want you to imagine your
- 10:20breathing in a healing light. It is starting to repair any
- 10:28internal organ damage. So you start to feel healthier.
- 10:34And as five turns to four, imagine that healing light going
- 10:39down into your gut. That's it.
- 10:44And feel that resourceful relaxation now going down into
- 10:48your upper legs as three tends to two your lower legs and as
- 10:55two goes to 1 your feet. And just imagine your toes
- 11:02feeling relaxed, your calf muscles feeling relaxed as the
- 11:06sensation goes upwards. Now your leg, your gut, your
- 11:13arms and legs, all the way to the top of your head.
- 11:17Feeling relaxed now as you imagine drifting off into a
- 11:24dreamlike sleep. And sometimes when we dream,
- 11:31memories come up. And as you rest here in this
- 11:36place, bring to mind that last blowout.
- 11:44Remember, you told yourself it's the last one, and it was.
- 11:52And maybe you remember that it either did or didn't live up to
- 11:58its promise. Maybe there was chaos or
- 12:03craziness, emptiness or relation.
- 12:09It doesn't matter, but start to think of it as it was seeing
- 12:16yourself like you're someone else, and maybe as the observer
- 12:23it wasn't quite the experience you thought it was.
- 12:31And make the evaluation looking back on that version of you and
- 12:36say to yourself with complete clarity and conviction, that was
- 12:45the last blowout. Because from this moment
- 12:49forward, your mind, your heart, and your body, no with absolute
- 12:56certainty, it's finished. Now you are no longer a user,
- 13:08you are a survivor. I want you to get a feeling that
- 13:17what started off as a user became an abuser and you are now
- 13:24a survivor of abuse, even if you were also the abuser.
- 13:33And the survivor will evolve to a protector of yourself and of
- 13:39those you love. A wonderful belief to believe is
- 13:50anything you're not changing, you're choosing.
- 13:55So if as of now, you are no longer a user or abuser, then
- 14:06you would now have to choose, knowing everything you know, to
- 14:11step back into that identity. You would have to want to be an
- 14:17abuser to yourself. You would have to want to
- 14:21deprive yourself of a wonderful, fulfilling future.
- 14:27And you can always choose to do that, but only if you really
- 14:33want to. And sometimes there might be a
- 14:39voice inside that urges you to go back to that life.
- 14:48A whisper of temptation is only the voice of a false friend,
- 14:56desperate not to be abandoned, that you see it for what it is
- 15:04now. Weak, manipulative, unworthy of
- 15:10your time, your money, or your energy.
- 15:16In fact, the emotional cost, the financial cost, aren't the
- 15:22biggest costs, not even the cost to your health.
- 15:27The biggest cost is the opportunity cost of all the
- 15:33other things you could have done with that time, energy and
- 15:37emotion. Not to mention the money.
- 15:42So you know deeply, it simply isn't worth it.
- 15:50Not now, not ever. Whenever a thought or an urge
- 16:00appears, you recognise it as just that.
- 16:06A thought, a sound in the distance, a sound from a train
- 16:13moving backwards. And you don't need to listen,
- 16:19and you don't need to agree. In fact, those urges spark
- 16:28within you a defiant response, an eagerness to prove certain
- 16:36people wrong, a fire inside you that says no, not me, not
- 16:46anymore. And you can channel that energy
- 16:52into proving wrong anyone, whoever doubted you, anyone who
- 16:59thought you'd always be stuck in this substance grip.
- 17:12Feel that you are unleashing an unstoppable desire to show them
- 17:19and yourself that you are stronger than the drug.
- 17:28Imagine the stations, the stops on this train.
- 17:34Now you're no longer a user. Maybe station 1 is just ensuring
- 17:41everything has been thrown away, certain contacts deleted or
- 17:46blocked. Burn a few bridges if you need
- 17:51to because you don't need to cross them anymore.
- 18:00The last blowout was also one of those train stations.
- 18:06You've done that now, No need to ever do it again.
- 18:12But I want you to imagine thinking of a few stations ahead
- 18:18maybe 3 months from now. I want you to imagine yourself
- 18:26with no urges, no desire, making progress.
- 18:35And maybe you find yourself using that time and money in
- 18:41ways that enrich and enhance your life.
- 18:46Maybe there's healthy habits, or maybe you're doing something
- 18:51that you found that can give you a feeling of stimulation without
- 18:59the negative downsides. This is just a stop on the way
- 19:08to your destination. But now start to imagine
- 19:13yourself at the final destination, perhaps a year or
- 19:18two from today. Free whole living a life worth
- 19:26living. Pitch yourself, having reclaimed
- 19:33every ounce of time, every spark of energy, every.
- 19:37Drop of emotion. And every pound of financial
- 19:41resources that that substance once stole, and it did steal it,
- 19:51and you've invested all of it into creating a life filled with
- 19:58meaning, joy and pride. And I want you to think of the
- 20:05kind of place that you might have a reunion, a celebration of
- 20:12your progress, and imagine your family, friends and loved ones
- 20:18gathered around. See.
- 20:23Their faces glowing with pride, their eyes filled with relief,
- 20:30joy, respect, or admiration. And some of them will see you
- 20:38for what you truly are. Not a user, not an addict, but a
- 20:45survivor who escaped. A protector who returned.
- 20:52A person who chose life over destruction.
- 20:58Maybe you could imagine the hugs, feel the warmth of their
- 21:02embrace, the weight of their gratitude, the pride swelling in
- 21:09your chest. This is your truth, and this is
- 21:16your future. And it begins now, because from
- 21:26this moment on, your subconscious mind reinforces
- 21:31this truth that your last blowout was the last blowout.
- 21:38The last line was the last line. You are free.
- 21:44You are a survivor. You are a protector and you are
- 21:52now living a life worth living because even escaping is living
- 22:01a life worth living. Feel that you are unleashing all
- 22:10of the internal resources needed to really step into that
- 22:17identity. You've stepped away from the
- 22:22identity of a user or abuser, and now you are a survivor.
- 22:35And a survivor doesn't want to go back to the abuser, even if
- 22:47it's familiar. There was a part deep within you
- 22:51that knows that no amount of gratification or temporary
- 22:57pleasure is worth being pulled back.
- 23:07And I want you to get a sense that you're still on the train,
- 23:12but you're moving in the right direction.
- 23:15And maybe this train journey last a year or two, but you've
- 23:22already left the station, you're already moving in that
- 23:28direction. So allow your imagination to
- 23:36stay in that dreamlike sleep there on that train and you're
- 23:46now returning to your physical body.
- 23:52And very soon I will count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 24:02And you will awaken feeling resourceful, aligned, hyper
- 24:07focused. As you know it's possible for
- 24:10you to pursue a relentless journey to a destination.
- 24:19And this journey may take a year, but you are hyper focused
- 24:25on getting to that destination. So take a deep breath in through
- 24:31your nose and out through your nose.
- 24:36Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 24:38Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 24:43from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 24:49Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert 7-8.
- 24:59Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
- 25:03Wide awake. Wide awake.
- 25:06Wide awake. Thank you so much for joining me
