3:24
Speaker 3: good morning and welcome to the show.
3:27
Speaker 5: Good morning, and happy Friday.
3:28
Speaker 3: Happy Friday, and I know it's a really happy Friday
3:31
Speaker 3: for you guys because you guys are still cleaning up
3:34
Speaker 3: from the flooding over this past weekend. We'll have more
3:36
Speaker 3: on that coming up a little bit a little bit
3:38
Speaker 3: later on, but first let's get to our actual Adopt
3:40
Speaker 3: Me Please put of the Week, brought to you by
3:42
Speaker 3: Almost Havin Interiors in South Charleston. Picture posted Dave Alan
3:46
Speaker 3: Radio on Facebook. The WCCHS network Facebook page and at
3:49
Speaker 3: dave a seventy on x Angie tell us about Grimlin.
3:54
Speaker 5: So, Grimlin is one of my favorites at the shelter
3:56
Speaker 5: right now. He's a great bully looking he's about six
4:01
Speaker 5: years old, definitely a little bit older. He is just
4:05
Speaker 5: the sweetest little dog. In playgroups, all the other dogs
4:09
Speaker 5: are kind of zooming and zipping by him playing and
4:11
Speaker 5: he just kind of waddles around the playyards. He's very sweet.
4:15
Speaker 5: He's not yet neutered, but he will be before he
4:18
Speaker 5: goes home. And his adoption fee has been totally paid for,
4:21
Speaker 5: so he's zero dollars to take home.
4:23
Speaker 3: And he came in as astray from what you told
4:24
Speaker 3: me right.
4:26
Speaker 5: Yes, he actually came in as astray from the Charleston
4:28
Speaker 5: area with the humane officer and no one has claimed him.
4:32
Speaker 5: No one knows any much about him, so he is
4:35
Speaker 5: now available for adoption after his mandatory.
4:37
Speaker 3: Street He's a great looking dog. And you said he's
4:40
Speaker 3: got a little bit of a pit in him, But
4:42
Speaker 3: don't let that frighten you off, because some people can
4:44
Speaker 3: be afraid of things like that for one reason or another,
4:46
Speaker 3: mainly because they believe a lot of nonsense, But that's
4:49
Speaker 3: another story for another time. The dog is an absolutely
4:52
Speaker 3: beautiful dog. We've got his picture posted Dave Alan Radio
4:55
Speaker 3: on Facebook at Dave a seventy on X and the
4:57
Speaker 3: WHS network facebook page gets along well with other dogs.
5:01
Speaker 3: Have we seen him around kids at all?
5:04
Speaker 5: I don't imagine he would be problematic around children. However,
5:08
Speaker 5: where he is a little bit older, you can tell
5:11
Speaker 5: that he has some like almost like arthritic type pain
5:14
Speaker 5: in his legs that we are managing. But again, that
5:18
Speaker 5: can be something that's difficult to manage around small children.
5:22
Speaker 5: So I would say maybe just kids that are a
5:24
Speaker 5: little bit older that aren't going to be laying all
5:26
Speaker 5: over him and think.
5:27
Speaker 1: Yeah.
5:27
Speaker 3: Well, and we always urge that people do basically a
5:31
Speaker 3: test drive, you know, ahead of time. Yeah, and you
5:33
Speaker 3: can take him out for a walk and bring your
5:35
Speaker 3: kids up there to see how how he does. He's
5:36
Speaker 3: a beautiful dog. Hopefully we can get him adopted. All right,
5:40
Speaker 3: So let's talk about the cleanup. What all happened up there,
5:42
Speaker 3: When did it happen and how's the cleanup going.
5:46
Speaker 5: So on Monday morning, our staff arrived to the shelter
5:49
Speaker 5: after those very horrific storms Sunday night, and we had
5:54
Speaker 5: a lot of trees down all over the property. There
5:57
Speaker 5: was a considerable amount of just mud and debris in
6:00
Speaker 5: the parking lot. A tree had actually fallen on our
6:03
Speaker 5: cat isolation building. I didn't do any damage, and our
6:08
Speaker 5: dumpster had floated into the woods, which is I mean that?
6:13
Speaker 5: But we put that plea out on Facebook and lo
6:18
Speaker 5: and behold, we had no doubt, but our community really
6:20
Speaker 5: came together for us and bolt sloncair without question, Hesitation
6:26
Speaker 5: showed up and started removing trees for us. We also
6:29
Speaker 5: received a small amount of flooding. I was like a
6:32
Speaker 5: little less than an inch of water in our storage
6:35
Speaker 5: building where we store all of the food for our
6:37
Speaker 5: pet pantry and shelter pets. We lost a little bit
6:41
Speaker 5: of that food, and Walmart and Cross Lanes again without Hesitation,
6:45
Speaker 5: without question, replaced all of that food and then it
6:48
Speaker 5: gave us a three hundred dollars gift card to purchase
6:51
Speaker 5: any needs for any shelter pets that we have.
6:54
Speaker 3: Now, as far as the cleanup goes continuing, we always
6:57
Speaker 3: give folks a list of things that you need, but
6:59
Speaker 3: related to the cleanup, specifically, what is it you're still
7:03
Speaker 3: in need of, if anything.
7:05
Speaker 5: So our trail also took a hit during this and
7:09
Speaker 5: we've yet to clean that up one hundred percent. So
7:11
Speaker 5: if you love to landscape or if you love to
7:14
Speaker 5: you know, trim trees, trim branches, things of that nature,
7:18
Speaker 5: pick up garbage. That is a big thing that we
7:21
Speaker 5: are still in need of, is clearing that out. So
7:23
Speaker 5: it is totally clear for people to walk our shelter petsickein.
7:27
Speaker 3: And isn't an amazing how And we saw this not
7:30
Speaker 3: just with the shelter, Angie, but with other folks in
7:33
Speaker 3: the community when we had this flooding, and not only
7:36
Speaker 3: here in Charleston but other areas of the state. How
7:38
Speaker 3: West Virginians respond and without even questioning. I mean, we're
7:42
Speaker 3: the kind of folks, as I saw a meme on
7:44
Speaker 3: social media that said, you know, with all due respect,
7:46
Speaker 3: we don't wait on emergency crews to come in if
7:50
Speaker 3: it's safe, we go in with chainsaws and do it ourself.
7:52
Speaker 3: You know, that's the kind of people we have here
7:54
Speaker 3: in West Virginia.
7:55
Speaker 5: Oh, I would agree one hundred percent. And I like,
7:58
Speaker 5: I can't believe that what we saw on Monday, and
8:01
Speaker 5: I'm sitting here saying, yeah, the only thing we really
8:03
Speaker 5: need left is that trial is cleared out. So like
8:06
Speaker 5: the fact that that's the only thing that we still
8:08
Speaker 5: need is that's beyond amazing to me.
8:11
Speaker 3: And there was a sad story out of our friends
8:13
Speaker 3: in Fayette County with their shelter as well, and it's
8:15
Speaker 3: not the first time it's happened. I think the brids
8:17
Speaker 3: got washed washed out, Is that right?
8:20
Speaker 6: Uh?
8:20
Speaker 5: Yeah, So they were at a point where they could
8:22
Speaker 5: not access the pets that they were caring for. They
8:26
Speaker 5: have gotten that taken care of. They're able to take
8:28
Speaker 5: care of the pets and get over to them, but
8:31
Speaker 5: they are also in need of I mean, supplies, anything
8:35
Speaker 5: pet related. It seems as a lot of their supplies
8:38
Speaker 5: were a total loss. So if you know we're in
8:41
Speaker 5: good standing, we're offering supplies to them, extra things that
8:44
Speaker 5: we get and helping them out in any way we can.
8:48
Speaker 5: So if you're also thinking of wanting to help out
8:51
Speaker 5: a shelter in need, Fayette could also certainly use your help.
8:56
Speaker 3: I've got a texture that said twenty of the animals
9:00
Speaker 3: left the shelter earlier in morning for New Jersey, and
9:02
Speaker 3: there was a tornado that hit there late yesterday. So
9:05
Speaker 3: do you know what? They're all safe and prayers for
9:06
Speaker 3: the sweet souls moving from one disaster time to another.
9:10
Speaker 5: Yes, so everybody was safe. Everyone made it to New
9:13
Speaker 5: Jersey without incident. They all made it to their kennels
9:16
Speaker 5: and were completely safe throughout the night. I'm pretty sure
9:21
Speaker 5: that specific area was not the area where our adoption
9:25
Speaker 5: center is, so thank goodness for that. But I do
9:27
Speaker 5: appreciate everyone's standing on top of it. The volunteer that
9:30
Speaker 5: drove them up said everything was picture perfect.
9:33
Speaker 3: Let's talk about the happy stuff. Kegs for Canines next
9:36
Speaker 3: week at the Red Carpet. Talk about tickets, times, etc.
9:40
Speaker 5: Yes, you asked me too quick on the time last week,
9:42
Speaker 5: but I can't prepare this. So Cakes for Caneines is
9:47
Speaker 5: next Saturday, which is crazy that it's coming up that fast.
9:51
Speaker 5: It starts at four pm at the Red Carpet Lounge.
9:54
Speaker 5: You can purchase your tickets on the Facebook page. You
9:57
Speaker 5: don't have Facebook, you can come up to us at
9:59
Speaker 5: the shelter and we can care of that for you.
10:01
Speaker 5: But it is a fundraising event for animals in need.
10:05
Speaker 5: And I say every time you get to drink beer,
10:07
Speaker 5: pet dogs and just enjoy your Saturday.
10:10
Speaker 3: So well, we're looking forward to being there. Steve Animal
10:13
Speaker 3: and I from ninety eight to seven to Mounts and
10:14
Speaker 3: Wild and Wonderful Classic Rock will be there for that
10:16
Speaker 3: next Saturday afternoon. How are tickets going for this?
10:20
Speaker 5: There are still tickets still Okay, yeah, there are still
10:23
Speaker 5: tickets available to get them all day last. I do
10:26
Speaker 5: foresee a lot of tickets going next week of people,
10:29
Speaker 5: you know, making some life minute.
10:30
Speaker 3: It's way it always works. It's just a great time.
10:33
Speaker 3: And of course the Red Carpet Lounge is a fantastic place.
10:36
Speaker 3: As I said, there will be some college football, not
10:38
Speaker 3: the not the entire schedule, but there'll be some college
10:40
Speaker 3: football I think on next weekend, so they'll have the
10:42
Speaker 3: TVs up there. It's a great venue. You get the
10:44
Speaker 3: tiki bar. If it's a little too warm and you
10:46
Speaker 3: want to go inside, you can sit down, you can
10:48
Speaker 3: be outside, you can be shaded. It's a great place
10:50
Speaker 3: for the facilities. And hands off to the folks at
10:52
Speaker 3: Red Carpet for giving it up to host the event there,
10:55
Speaker 3: and we're going to be talking about it with you
10:56
Speaker 3: next week. But also I think one of your cohorts
10:58
Speaker 3: a schedule to be on the show too to talk
11:00
Speaker 3: about it as well. So we're looking forward to that.
11:02
Speaker 3: You guys are going to be out and about anywhere
11:04
Speaker 3: this weekend.
11:06
Speaker 5: Yes, tomorrow, we're going to be at the Pintry Union.
11:08
Speaker 5: We'll specifically be stationed near the pinch Fire Department. We'll
11:12
Speaker 5: be there from twelve to three with some adoptable pets
11:14
Speaker 5: in our transport van. So definitely stop by. If you
11:17
Speaker 5: don't have plans to adopt or can't adopt, you can
11:20
Speaker 5: still stop by, say hello and get some puppy and
11:22
Speaker 5: kid you love.
11:23
Speaker 1: Well.
11:23
Speaker 3: Angie, we appreciate you being here because I saw the
11:26
Speaker 3: pictures like everybody else did earlier this week man of
11:29
Speaker 3: what was going on at the shelter and with the
11:31
Speaker 3: trees and everything. And again, the community, I'm a big
11:35
Speaker 3: shout out the folks of Bolts, but the community volunteers
11:38
Speaker 3: just came in and kind of got you guys up
11:40
Speaker 3: and rolling, and that is really really good stuff. And
11:43
Speaker 3: so that's what we do here in West Virginia. Angie,
11:46
Speaker 3: we will talk to you next week. Thanks a loon.
11:48
Speaker 5: Absolutely have a good weekend.
11:49
Speaker 3: You as well. Again, are adopt me please put it
11:52
Speaker 3: the week. His name is Grimlin I've got his picture
11:55
Speaker 3: posted Dave Alan Radio on Facebook and at Dave a
11:57
Speaker 3: seventy on x and also at the NHS Network page.
12:01
Speaker 3: Grimlin is six years old. He's around forty four pounds.
12:05
Speaker 3: Came in as a stray. Loves playgroups and other dogs.
12:09
Speaker 3: His adoption fees taken care of, so he is free.
12:12
Speaker 3: And also he's not neutered yet, but he will be
12:15
Speaker 3: by the time he goes home. Older dog, but it
12:19
Speaker 3: would be a great pet for you. Go look at
12:20
Speaker 3: his picture. Look at those eyes. He's just looking up
12:22
Speaker 3: the cameras saying adopt. That's why we call this the
12:24
Speaker 3: Adopt Me Please Pet of the Week. Folks. All right,
12:27
Speaker 3: go get Grimlin, get him in a good home. Every
12:30
Speaker 3: Friday morning we do this. It is called the Adopt

12:49
Speaker 3: Charleston text, The pitbull reputation isn't one that's entirely undeserved.
12:55
Speaker 3: They are not dogs for everyone. They are dogs for
12:57
Speaker 3: responsible pet owners. The dog may be the sweetest and gentalist,
12:59
Speaker 3: but the terriers in their DNA terriers were bred to
13:02
Speaker 3: kill things. Not saying that they should be genocided, just
13:05
Speaker 3: saying they're more of a responsibility than corgy. I one
13:08
Speaker 3: hundred percent agree with what that. I mean. Some of
13:12
Speaker 3: my relatives growing up had a chihwala that would absolutely
13:17
Speaker 3: do more damage than a pitbull. That dog was just
13:19
Speaker 3: downright mean. So sometimes it's it's all, how you They
13:24
Speaker 3: aren't really raising to be that way. He just kind
13:26
Speaker 3: of turned out that way sometimes, all right. Somebody who
13:29
Speaker 3: was pretty mean on defensive players back when he played
13:31
Speaker 3: is the runaway beer truck Owen Schmidt. He's coming to

16:37
Speaker 3: station websites, Gomart, Official Convenience Store of WU Athletics and
16:41
Speaker 3: WVRC media stations. Let's go we are efforting the runaway
16:45
Speaker 3: beer truck. Apparently he ran away a little too far
16:48
Speaker 3: Owen Schmidt and Ryan is still working on trying to
16:50
Speaker 3: get Old Schmid with it's but in the meantime, the
16:51
Speaker 3: reason we had him on the show was to talk
16:53
Speaker 3: about big happenings tomorrow in the city of Nitro. I
16:55
Speaker 3: want to bring in Joe Stevens from the City of
16:57
Speaker 3: Nitro or right now to talk about it. Joe Morning,
17:00
Speaker 3: and welcome to the show.
17:02
Speaker 11: Good morning, David. I tell you what it's always fun
17:05
Speaker 11: to listen to when the community steps up for like
17:10
Speaker 11: the Humane Society and for all the folks that have
17:13
Speaker 11: suffered through the flooding and everything. You know, you just
17:17
Speaker 11: can't find this kind of community help anywhere else.
17:21
Speaker 3: You're exactly right and simple, and they always do. I
17:25
Speaker 3: want to talk about this event that City of nitrosy
17:28
Speaker 3: is helping out with tomorrow. It's the Nitro Youth Football
17:30
Speaker 3: League and you've got an entire day's worth of activities
17:33
Speaker 3: getting folks ready for the upcoming season, not the least
17:35
Speaker 3: of which is Owen Schmidt. The runaway beer truck that
17:39
Speaker 3: is scheduled to be there tomorrow. He'll be signing autographs,
17:43
Speaker 3: Brand Marshall for the parade kind of just take us
17:45
Speaker 3: to the schedule, Joe.
17:47
Speaker 11: Well, it all centers around, like you said, David, the
17:51
Speaker 11: opening day for the Nitro Youth Football League. The games
17:56
Speaker 11: themselves will get underway at three o'clock. There is a
18:01
Speaker 11: parade for the youth League that starts at two o'clock.
18:04
Speaker 11: That'll go from the Boat ramp over on Maine Avenue
18:09
Speaker 11: and it will follow up to the High School and
18:12
Speaker 11: Underwood Field. That'll go about two o'clock. And like you said,
18:15
Speaker 11: Owen Schmidt, former WBU great player for the Seattle Seahawks
18:21
Speaker 11: and also a couple other teams, Raiders and the Eagles. Yes,
18:29
Speaker 11: and so he will be the grand Marshall of the
18:32
Speaker 11: parade at two o'clock. But before all that, around ten o'clock,
18:37
Speaker 11: the Nitro Football Card and collectible show put on by
18:41
Speaker 11: Third Floor Comics here in Nitro, where the Nitro Antique
18:45
Speaker 11: Mall is located. They will be hosting a card show
18:50
Speaker 11: at the commons area of the High School Nitro High
18:53
Speaker 11: School on Park Avenue. That'll get underway about ten o'clock
18:58
Speaker 11: and go until about four o'clock. And Owen Schmid is
19:01
Speaker 11: scheduled to be on site from ten o'clock until about
19:06
Speaker 11: one o'clock, signing autographs, greeting people and just talking. I
19:12
Speaker 11: guess he's got he's got some great former, some stories
19:15
Speaker 11: from when he played for WVU. Owen's really stepping up
19:20
Speaker 11: like the other folks that we've had here for the
19:22
Speaker 11: baseball opening and also now football opening. Major Harris was
19:27
Speaker 11: here last year, Chrissebo was here from the Cincinnati Reds
19:31
Speaker 11: earlier this year. They're signing autographs and all the proceeds
19:35
Speaker 11: from the autographs will be going back to the Nitro
19:39
Speaker 11: Youth Football League. So it's a fun time starting at
19:42
Speaker 11: ten o'clock with the card show parades. At two o'clock,
19:46
Speaker 11: then we will the prey will go into Underwood Field
19:49
Speaker 11: and at three o'clock Owen will be flipping the coin
19:52
Speaker 11: to start the season off.
19:53
Speaker 3: It's going to be a good time tomorrow in Nitro
19:55
Speaker 3: again as they get ready for the Nitro Youth Football League.
19:58
Speaker 3: And you look back and you talk about the career
20:00
Speaker 3: of Owen Schmidt, and as you said, he played professionally
20:03
Speaker 3: for the Seahawks. He was I think a fifth round
20:05
Speaker 3: draft choice of the Seahawks and he played a little
20:07
Speaker 3: bit for the Raiders and for the Eagles, and he's
20:09
Speaker 3: got a fascinating stories. Originally from Virginia, played college ball
20:13
Speaker 3: initially at a very small college in Wisconsin and then
20:17
Speaker 3: came back to WVU. And those were some exciting times
20:20
Speaker 3: for the Mountaineers if you think about that mid to
20:22
Speaker 3: late two thousands time frame. I mean, you know, coach
20:26
Speaker 3: Rod was there of course before leaving him coming back,
20:28
Speaker 3: and Steve Slayton and Pat White. I mean, those were
20:33
Speaker 3: some exciting times for Mountaineer football.
20:37
Speaker 11: And you knew how hard and how much Owen was
20:42
Speaker 11: in every game he played because he would take his
20:44
Speaker 11: helmet off on the sidelines and then he was he
20:48
Speaker 11: was bloody. He was putting everything into the game. And
20:53
Speaker 11: then the speech he made on national television after the
20:57
Speaker 11: Bowl win for Bill Stewart and and then Bill Stewart
21:01
Speaker 11: became the coach of the Mountaineers and everything that's also
21:05
Speaker 11: very very, you know, memorable as it may be.
21:09
Speaker 3: Talked to Joe Stevens again from the City of Nitro.
21:11
Speaker 3: It's nine twenty eight The Dave Island Show and five
21:13
Speaker 3: Vidiyeline Brown Tuning and parted by Hustin's Pizza this month's
21:16
Speaker 3: getting large Et and Nitch Pepperoni pizza at an eight
21:18
Speaker 3: inch chocolate chip cookie twenty three ninety nine. Find your
21:21
Speaker 3: local Hustands for delivery, pickup or dined in at Hustinspizza
21:24
Speaker 3: dot com. And you know he was just I mean
21:28
Speaker 3: Owen I say he was. He's still around, but Owen
21:30
Speaker 3: is just one of those guys that look I was.
21:33
Speaker 3: I remember him saying one time at an interview that
21:35
Speaker 3: I saw that his hero growing up was John Riggins.
21:38
Speaker 3: And write this down because you're not going to hear
21:41
Speaker 3: me say this very often. Are some of my friend
21:42
Speaker 3: Tony the Taylor that I know what's listening because he
21:44
Speaker 3: listens every morning. As much as a cowboy fan as
21:47
Speaker 3: I loathe and despise that team from Washington, I did
21:51
Speaker 3: like John Riggins, all right. Riggins was, I mean, was
21:55
Speaker 3: just a fantastic player. We remember the Mohawk, and he
21:57
Speaker 3: played for the Jets before he came to the Washington team.
22:00
Speaker 3: And that was Owen Schmidt's hero growing up. And and
22:04
Speaker 3: you could understand that because there were very similar styles Joe,
22:07
Speaker 3: between uh Rigo and between Owen Schmidt.
22:10
Speaker 11: Oh, by the way, I resemble that remark about respecting
22:14
Speaker 11: ballplayers from the Redskins now the Commodore's and what have you.
22:17
Speaker 11: But yes, when when Rigo got the ball, people either
22:21
Speaker 11: got out of the way or got run over. Ye.
22:23
Speaker 11: And that's almost the same way with Owen Schmidt.
22:25
Speaker 3: Also, Yeah, and you know, and Owen was just such
22:27
Speaker 3: a character off the field and continues to be a
22:29
Speaker 3: character off the field. Of course, you know his exploits
22:32
Speaker 3: with the Davis and Brothers, the guys I had a
22:34
Speaker 3: chance to hang out with a couple of weeks ago
22:35
Speaker 3: or legendary and they actually opened up a saloon there
22:38
Speaker 3: in Morgantown for a while. And uh and uh and
22:41
Speaker 3: and he he loves those, He loves that. He's just
22:43
Speaker 3: a guy that loves to have a good time. And
22:46
Speaker 3: most recently he's been coaching at Greenboro West High School,
22:50
Speaker 3: you know, helping out with that program down there. So
22:53
Speaker 3: hats off to him for I mean, because he may
22:55
Speaker 3: not be a a w V and it may not
22:57
Speaker 3: be a West Virginia native, my gosh, he he definitely
23:01
Speaker 3: adopted us or we adopted him, one of the two.
23:04
Speaker 11: You know. Can you imagine being having him as your
23:07
Speaker 11: coach and he not being satisfied with the way the
23:10
Speaker 11: running backs are hitting the hole and then he decides
23:14
Speaker 11: to take the ball. Can you be can you imagine
23:16
Speaker 11: being that Defenser?
23:17
Speaker 3: Now I cannot.
23:22
Speaker 11: I should see somebody saying, come on, coach, show us
23:25
Speaker 11: how to.
23:25
Speaker 3: Do it, you know, And he was just one of
23:27
Speaker 3: those guys and one of the most famous scenes. I
23:29
Speaker 3: know Chris Lawrence doesn't want to hear about this, but
23:32
Speaker 3: in college football was one of my idols growing up
23:34
Speaker 3: with herschel Walker when he played for Georgia and one
23:36
Speaker 3: of his first games he completely ran over a future
23:39
Speaker 3: Dallas Cowboy in Bill Bates, I mean knocked him from
23:43
Speaker 3: Saturday to Tuesday. And of course Bates went on to
23:48
Speaker 3: play for the Cowboys, but I just it's it. That's
23:51
Speaker 3: the kind of plays that Owen Schmid had on a
23:53
Speaker 3: regular basis.
23:55
Speaker 11: And he'll be here in Nitro tomorrow studying at about
23:57
Speaker 11: ten o'clock in the Commons area of Knight High School.
24:01
Speaker 11: He will be signing autographs at the Nitro Football card
24:04
Speaker 11: and collectible show put on by Third four Comics, and
24:08
Speaker 11: that'll start at ten o'clock. He'll be signing autographs until
24:11
Speaker 11: about one o'clock. Then he's the Grand Marshall on the
24:13
Speaker 11: pard at two o'clock and you flipping the coin to
24:15
Speaker 11: start the season at three o'clock.
24:17
Speaker 3: Well, and again I think hats off to you, Joe,
24:20
Speaker 3: and the people of Nitro and the Nitro Youth Football
24:22
Speaker 3: League for and baseball too, for doing this because you
24:25
Speaker 3: make opening day for these kids, not just the first
24:29
Speaker 3: day of the season. And we all know the statistics
24:31
Speaker 3: that fewer and fewer kids are taking part in sports,
24:33
Speaker 3: whether it's football, baseball, basketball, whatever, they're just not doing
24:36
Speaker 3: it as much anymore. And you guys are trying to
24:38
Speaker 3: make it an event for kids and parents and grandparents
24:40
Speaker 3: to come out and you know, make them feel really
24:42
Speaker 3: special on those opening days. So hats off. I know
24:45
Speaker 3: it wasn't just you, but there's a lot of people
24:46
Speaker 3: involved in this, so hats off to all those people
24:49
Speaker 3: for making opening days special football, baseball or whatever day.
24:54
Speaker 11: The new mantra around here is compete, fun and memories.
25:00
Speaker 11: That's what we're trying to provide.
25:01
Speaker 3: All right, Joe, I appreciate it, my friend. Thanks a lot,
25:04
Speaker 3: good luck and we'll talk soon. Thanks buddy.
25:08
Speaker 11: Let's go Cowboys.
25:09
Speaker 3: That's right, you got to get that in. There's Joe
25:13
Speaker 3: Stevens also a big Cowboys fan as well. Twenty seven
25:16
Speaker 3: minutes away from ten. All right, so again, the sports
25:19
Speaker 3: Card show will be at ten o'clock tomorrow morning at
25:21
Speaker 3: Nitral High School. The parade is set at two and
25:25
Speaker 3: own Schmidt will be the Grand Marshall and then he's
25:28
Speaker 3: gonna flip the coin and they'll get the Nitro youth
25:30
Speaker 3: football season started at around three o'clock. So sorry, we
25:33
Speaker 3: didn't have Orae Smidt on with us today, as they
25:35
Speaker 3: said on the Brady Bunch, something suddenly came up. But
25:38
Speaker 3: he will be in Nitro tomorrow, I'm sure. But Dave

25:46
Speaker 3: dot com. This was a text for Owen. Unfortunately we
25:48
Speaker 3: did not get Owen. I apologized, said, I watched, well,
25:52
Speaker 3: I consider the greatest game in Mountaineer history, the triple
25:55
Speaker 3: overtime game against Louisville, and got to say that in
25:57
Speaker 3: those four years, you guys were something special, all of
26:00
Speaker 3: you offense, defense and special teams, all of you. I
26:02
Speaker 3: don't think that West Virginia will ever have another perfect
26:05
Speaker 3: team cohesive wise, even though you guys didn't win every game,
26:08
Speaker 3: all of you individually were a perfect combination. Yeah, it
26:11
Speaker 3: was an exciting time for Mountain of Football. It really
26:14
Speaker 3: really was. And hope springs eternal in the world of sports,
26:17
Speaker 3: so hopefully they'll be able to recapture that. But that
26:19
Speaker 3: was that was a very very special team. And look,
26:23
Speaker 3: you know, we all know about the the teams of
26:25
Speaker 3: Major Harris and what they did playing for a national
26:28
Speaker 3: championship against Notre Dame. But as far as and you
26:31
Speaker 3: can make these sports arguments all the time get people
26:34
Speaker 3: all fired up, but I will say that as far
26:36
Speaker 3: as having a great number of superstars at one time
26:41
Speaker 3: on a team, it would be you'd be very very
26:43
Speaker 3: hard pressed to not to try to compare any team
26:48
Speaker 3: to those teams of the mid mid to late two
26:50
Speaker 3: thousand WVU with with Pat White and Slayton and Owen
26:54
Speaker 3: and of course I mean you would be it would
26:57
Speaker 3: be very difficult to try to try to repeat that
27:01
Speaker 3: at some point, but hopefully Mountain Air fans think that
27:03
Speaker 3: they could. Twenty six minutes away from ten o'clock, I
27:06

30:11
Speaker 14: it this morning?
30:12
Speaker 3: Okay, So tell us your story. Tell us why you
30:15
Speaker 3: tell us why the company? Why are these things so
30:18
Speaker 3: important to you?
30:19
Speaker 14: Well, I think, first of all, in the business that
30:22
Speaker 14: we're in, we've been fortunate, you know, I've done it
30:25
Speaker 14: for forty years. Eddie, my partner for many of these years,
30:29
Speaker 14: has done it for forty years as well, and we
30:31
Speaker 14: figured out a long time ago that it was important
30:34
Speaker 14: to give back to the community. And you know what
30:36
Speaker 14: a better there's not a better thing to give to
30:38
Speaker 14: than to a children's hospital. So we got involved with
30:42
Speaker 14: helping raise money, you know for the WU Children's Hospital.
30:47
Speaker 14: I think it opened in twenty twenty two, but we
30:49
Speaker 14: were part of the fundraising committee here in Charleston, so
30:54
Speaker 14: we worked on that for about a year year and
30:56
Speaker 14: a half. So there are a lot of unsung heroes
30:58
Speaker 14: that gave, you know, quite a bit of money, you
31:01
Speaker 14: know to the children's hospital that go unnamed. You know,
31:04
Speaker 14: we see the new name you know on the children's hospital,
31:07
Speaker 14: but most people don't have the means to give that
31:08
Speaker 14: kind of money. But really anything helped you know, ten dollars,
31:11
Speaker 14: one hundred dollars, ten thousand dollars, whatever that might be.
31:15
Speaker 14: Plus my wife who was also on the committee with me.
31:18
Speaker 14: Her cousin had a son who was ten eleven years
31:21
Speaker 14: old was diagnosed with a pretty severe form of cancer.
31:25
Speaker 14: So that tugs at the heartstrings. And then you see
31:28
Speaker 14: what WVU is trying to do up there, and it
31:31
Speaker 14: means a lot to you, because you know, it means
31:33
Speaker 14: a lot to parts of the other parts of the family.
31:36
Speaker 14: So that's what made us want to get involved. We've
31:39
Speaker 14: got kids of our own. In fact, we have our
31:41
Speaker 14: two year old grandson, you know, at home with us
31:44
Speaker 14: this this weekend. They live down in Atlanta, and you know,
31:48
Speaker 14: we've all probably been to a football game in WVU
31:50
Speaker 14: and we've seen one of those helicopters fly in and
31:52
Speaker 14: land on top of the hospital. Yeah, especially when you
31:56
Speaker 14: know probably something bad has maybe happened, But it's nice
31:59
Speaker 14: that they've got a place to get to as quickly
32:01
Speaker 14: as possible and be able to use that means to
32:04
Speaker 14: be able to get there. So all of that was
32:06
Speaker 14: important to get that type of facility opened in the
32:09
Speaker 14: state because I think, quite frankly, the state really needed
32:11
Speaker 14: something like that, and they've got some of the best
32:13
Speaker 14: care up there for children that you'll find.
32:16
Speaker 3: And there's so many, so many kids that are helped
32:20
Speaker 3: here in the Kenaw Valley as well. I mean, it
32:22
Speaker 3: didn't matter where they're from, because kids come from all
32:24
Speaker 3: over the country for that facility, but specifically here in
32:27
Speaker 3: the Charleston area, Huntington area, and in the entire valley.
32:30
Speaker 3: There's a lot of kids from here that that are
32:33
Speaker 3: served by the hospital.
32:34
Speaker 14: They're not going to turn anybody away now. They can
32:36
Speaker 14: get full up there and they may have to make
32:38
Speaker 14: some other types of arrangements. I think it's a one
32:41
Speaker 14: hundred and fifty bed facility, I think if I read right,
32:43
Speaker 14: but they just opened up another floor that's you know,
32:47
Speaker 14: more of a outpatient clinic. I think that's on the
32:50
Speaker 14: top floor, so you can go in there and not
32:53
Speaker 14: necessarily have to spend time at the hospital, but maybe
32:55
Speaker 14: get a small ailment taken care of. They've got a
32:58
Speaker 14: number of birthing facilities there, so it is a five star,
33:02
Speaker 14: high quality facility that, like you say, any part of
33:06
Speaker 14: the state, or really any part of surrounding states can
33:09
Speaker 14: can take advantage of wvu's child Center up there and
33:13
Speaker 14: for listeners.
33:14
Speaker 3: Again, there's so many ways you can help. The easiest
33:17
Speaker 3: way to do it is really just by texting, and
33:20
Speaker 3: you can text the word WVU Kids to three four
33:23
Speaker 3: nine eighty four and that'll give you a link that
33:26
Speaker 3: you could donate via credit or debit card, PayPal, Apple,
33:29
Speaker 3: pay Venmo, you can do it that way. You can
33:32
Speaker 3: simply call UH and you can do that by calling
33:35
Speaker 3: eight seven seven seven one nine fifty four thirty seven.
33:39
Speaker 3: The phone line is a service of Best Virginia Heating
33:41
Speaker 3: and Cooling eight seven seven seven one nine fifty four
33:44
Speaker 3: to thirty seven, or you can text, as I mentioned earlier,
33:46
Speaker 3: WVU Kids to three four nine eighty four, Panhandle Cleaning
33:50
Speaker 3: and Restoration, UH sponsoring that. So there's so many different
33:52
Speaker 3: ways that you can give involved. Because you though it's
33:56
Speaker 3: take team, you do a lot in the community, not
33:59
Speaker 3: just this, Yeah, I mean.
34:00
Speaker 14: At the place that we were previously employed, I was
34:03
Speaker 14: the branch director and part of the reason we did
34:06
Speaker 14: this move a few years back is I didn't want
34:08
Speaker 14: to be in the position of management anymore. And Eddie
34:11
Speaker 14: and his brother Jim, they take care of that. But
34:14
Speaker 14: we do get to ask a lot you know, to
34:16
Speaker 14: make contributions. But we made a commitment several years ago
34:20
Speaker 14: with the Make a Wish Foundation, and we have a
34:22
Speaker 14: big campaign at the end of the year around christa
34:25
Speaker 14: and we used to send out Christmas cards to all
34:26
Speaker 14: our clients and then we started looking at the expense
34:29
Speaker 14: of that and we thought, is that money that's really
34:31
Speaker 14: going to good use. So we send out an email
34:34
Speaker 14: to our clients that says, instead of doing a Christmas card,
34:37
Speaker 14: We're going to make some kids wishes come true. We've
34:40
Speaker 14: done some stuff with Memorial Sloan Kettering. Eddie's been involved
34:46
Speaker 14: with Saint Jude I know very much in the past,
34:49
Speaker 14: and you get asked to do a lot of things
34:50
Speaker 14: and you just can't do everything. But we try to
34:53
Speaker 14: pick some things that we think are important to people,
34:55
Speaker 14: and we definitely just want to give back to the community.
34:57
Speaker 3: That's what it is all about. Island Show on five
35:00
Speaker 3: to eighty Live is bronchepired by Morgan and Morgan, America's
35:04
Speaker 3: largest injury law firm. And again, there's just there's something
35:08
Speaker 3: about you know, these what I love about the business
35:12
Speaker 3: community here in West Virginia general. I don't care whether
35:14
Speaker 3: it's Charleston hunting in Morgantown, Martinsburg, whatever. The amount of
35:19
Speaker 3: people that just step up and the not just the owners,
35:22
Speaker 3: not just the executives, but the employees that say, hey,
35:24
Speaker 3: what can we do to help. In the first part
35:26
Speaker 3: of the show, I interviewed Angil Gilliwater from the Cannaal Charles,
35:29
Speaker 3: Newmaine Associations I do every Friday. You know, they had
35:32
Speaker 3: storm damage up there and people came out and just
35:35
Speaker 3: donated services. You know, people do this for a living.
35:38
Speaker 3: Came out and started clearing trees and stuff like that.
35:40
Speaker 3: And my point in saying that is to say that again,
35:43
Speaker 3: that's what West Virginias do they do.
35:45
Speaker 14: And you know, we're in in the business a given
35:47
Speaker 14: investment advice and I mentioned this on Steve Shows earlier.
35:51
Speaker 14: One thing a lot of people don't know is in
35:53
Speaker 14: your qualified account, your four oh one k's your iras.
35:56
Speaker 14: You know, once you reach the age it's now seventy three,
35:59
Speaker 14: you have to take what's called a required minimum distribution.
36:02
Speaker 14: So the government's going to make sure that you take
36:04
Speaker 14: some money out of your qualified IRA four one K
36:07
Speaker 14: account because they want the tax revenue when you take
36:11
Speaker 14: that distribution, because it's taxes ordinary income. Now, I don't
36:14
Speaker 14: give tax advice, but I do know this having done
36:16
Speaker 14: this in the business. If you get to RMD age,
36:20
Speaker 14: if you're RMD's thirty or forty thousand dollars, if you
36:23
Speaker 14: give that directly to a charity, then it is you
36:28
Speaker 14: don't have to pay any taxes on that. So you'd
36:30
Speaker 14: be surprised the number of West Virginians. The maximum number
36:33
Speaker 14: per person is one hundred and eleven thousand dollars, and
36:36
Speaker 14: believe it or not, we've got some people that their
36:38
Speaker 14: required minimum distribution is even higher than that. But you
36:41
Speaker 14: can have us direct your required minimum distribution directly to
36:47
Speaker 14: the children's hospital, your church, any charitable organization that falls
36:52
Speaker 14: under the category of being a charity. You can give
36:55
Speaker 14: that money to them, and you don't pay tax because
36:57
Speaker 14: if you take it out and take it yourself, it's
36:59
Speaker 14: taxed as ordinary income. So that's another way people can
37:02
Speaker 14: give if they don't need that required minimum distribution whenever
37:06
Speaker 14: they're forced to take it from their IRA account.
37:07
Speaker 3: I want to give you a chance, because we do
37:09
Speaker 3: this with all of the people that help us out
37:11
Speaker 3: with our radiothon. I want to give you a chance
37:13
Speaker 3: to talk about your business well, you know that our business.
37:16
Speaker 14: You know, Eddie and I figured out a long time
37:18
Speaker 14: ago that when you go to meetings in bigger cities,
37:22
Speaker 14: they tell you, you know, don't take any clients that
37:24
Speaker 14: have less than a million dollars and that type of thing.
37:26
Speaker 14: That's not West Virginia, and that's not what we've done.
37:29
Speaker 14: You know, A typical client for us is a guy
37:31
Speaker 14: that's worked at the plan or at Verizon or AEP
37:34
Speaker 14: something like that. They've worked their whole life, they've saved
37:37
Speaker 14: four hundred thousand, six hundred thousand, eight hundred thousand, and
37:41
Speaker 14: they need that money to roll to an IRA and
37:43
Speaker 14: create some income for themselves. So retirement income planning is
37:47
Speaker 14: a big specialty that we do, but we also have
37:49
Speaker 14: clients that are just more interested in growth. So the
37:52
Speaker 14: younger you are, the more aggressive we're going to be,
37:55
Speaker 14: and the older we get, we're going to get a
37:56
Speaker 14: little bit more conservative because we know that you're likely
37:59
Speaker 14: want to produce some income. So that's primarily the bread
38:02
Speaker 14: and butter of our busin. Don't get me wrong, we
38:04
Speaker 14: have some twenty thirty million dollar accounts, but we also
38:07
Speaker 14: have a lot of one hundred, two hundred thousand dollars
38:09
Speaker 14: accounts and we treat them all the same because if
38:12
Speaker 14: you have one hundred thousand dollars, you got ten million dollars.
38:15
Speaker 14: That money is very important to you because that may
38:17
Speaker 14: be all that you have, and we take that very seriously.
38:20
Speaker 14: And we again we've both been doing it for forty years.
38:22
Speaker 14: We enjoy doing it, and we're always looking for new opportunities.
38:26
Speaker 3: All right, how can people get in touch with you
38:28
Speaker 3: if they need one?
38:29
Speaker 14: For me three oh four four four three four two
38:32
Speaker 14: four seven or Jay Goulesby that's g oo lsb y
38:38
Speaker 14: at Wealth Enhancement dot com. Or you can just google
38:42
Speaker 14: Wealth Enhancement dot com and ask for your local office
38:45
Speaker 14: and if you're in West Virginia, it's probably going to
38:47
Speaker 14: show you our Charleston office and you can get in
38:49
Speaker 14: touch with us that.
38:50
Speaker 3: One well Charleston office.
38:52
Speaker 14: We are in the United Bank Building, which is five
38:55
Speaker 14: hundred Virginia Street East, and we're on the top floor.
38:57
Speaker 14: We're sweet twelve hundred on the top the United Bank Building.
39:01
Speaker 3: Well, thank you and your partners for everything that you've
39:03
Speaker 3: done to make this radiothon such as huge success. Because
39:05
Speaker 3: we started yesterday. We'll go through the close of Business
39:08
Speaker 3: I guest today and it has been a huge success.
39:10
Speaker 3: So we appreciate you for what you've done.
39:12
Speaker 14: Thanks a lot, well and Dave, we appreciate very much
39:14
Speaker 14: what the radio stations are doing. And you know WVU
39:17
Speaker 14: Metro and you guys have done a lot and it
39:20
Speaker 14: says a lot about what you guys want to do
39:21
Speaker 14: as well that you're heading this campaign.
39:24
Speaker 3: All right, Hey, Ryan, we got a little audio. A
39:27
Speaker 3: man Logan Scott from a sister station, V one hundred,
39:30
Speaker 3: had a chance to sit down with some of the
39:31
Speaker 3: folks at WVU Medicine Children's gal Asano recently. Let's listen
39:35
Speaker 3: into this.
39:36
Speaker 15: It's the WVRC Media Cares for Kids radiothon joining me
39:41
Speaker 15: is Amy Bush c AO at WVU Medicine Galasano Children's Now.
39:46
Speaker 15: It's been quite a year for the hospital as its
39:48
Speaker 15: transitioned to WVU Medicine Galasano Children's. Now, what does this
39:52
Speaker 15: growth mean for patients across the state.
39:55
Speaker 16: What a year. Indeed, last October when the official announcement
39:59
Speaker 16: came out of mister Glisano's generous gift, extremely exciting and
40:03
Speaker 16: grateful time. As we continue to grow, not only our
40:06
Speaker 16: children's hospital, here in Morgantown, but bringing care closer to
40:10
Speaker 16: the home communities with our regional hospital partners and the
40:15
Speaker 16: clinics that we have across the state in the region,
40:19
Speaker 16: so that we can truly continue to help build healthier futures.
40:22
Speaker 16: We can make it easier on the families during stressful
40:26
Speaker 16: times and also for things like wellness and preventative care
40:30
Speaker 16: that we want to make sure that we have close
40:32
Speaker 16: to home for the kids. So this gift just helps
40:35
Speaker 16: us continue on our path to build those healthier futures.
40:39
Speaker 15: Now, the team here is so dedicated to our kids
40:42
Speaker 15: and expectant mothers. What is it about them that makes
40:45
Speaker 15: WVU Medicine Galazano children so special?
40:48
Speaker 5: Now?
40:48
Speaker 16: I think the most important thing is our team works
40:52
Speaker 16: who deliver care in a manner that they would want
40:55
Speaker 16: for their own family and their own kids. We have
40:58
Speaker 16: this saying every day it's for the kids, and we
41:01
Speaker 16: just want to be that bright spot and helping the
41:04
Speaker 16: kids and their families more expectant moms navigate during the
41:08
Speaker 16: times where you know there's there's a new birth and
41:11
Speaker 16: hopefully all as well, and during times when unexpected things
41:15
Speaker 16: happen with illness, and so we have this saying we
41:18
Speaker 16: care big, and we want to make sure that we're
41:20
Speaker 16: taking care of those that entrust us with their care
41:23
Speaker 16: as we would our own family.
41:24
Speaker 15: The hospital may be in Morgantown, but WVU Medicine Galasano
41:28
Speaker 15: Children's continues to grow across the state. Why is it
41:31
Speaker 15: so important that the care reaches all of West Virginia
41:34
Speaker 15: and the surrounding region.
41:35
Speaker 16: What we know is when we can bring care closer
41:38
Speaker 16: to home, especially focusing on preventive and wellness, but also
41:42
Speaker 16: in times of illness, that when there's a need, it's
41:45
Speaker 16: also a stress on the families too. And so to
41:48
Speaker 16: the extent that we can help lessen the drive to
41:52
Speaker 16: get the same level of care and expertise, that is
41:55
Speaker 16: our goal, and so as we continue to expand our
41:58
Speaker 16: regional hub at our larger system hospitals, we also want
42:02
Speaker 16: to make sure we're providing that care at our community
42:04
Speaker 16: hospitals so that access is there, it's the same it's
42:09
Speaker 16: the same team, and it also helps lower that cost
42:12
Speaker 16: of travel and a time and the other stressors that
42:15
Speaker 16: families just don't need.
42:16
Speaker 15: And what is the next step for WVU Medicine Galzano
42:20
Speaker 15: Children's to continue to expand care.
42:22
Speaker 16: We know, we've got some really exciting things in the
42:25
Speaker 16: works right now. We are in the process of building
42:28
Speaker 16: out our remaining seven shelled beds from when we initially opened,
42:32
Speaker 16: so early winter we're going to be opening three additional
42:36
Speaker 16: beds and our nicke and for additional beds in our
42:40
Speaker 16: cardiac pedetric, contensive care, epilepsy monitoring area, so that's right here,
42:45
Speaker 16: you know, on site, and you know this past January
42:48
Speaker 16: we opened our new clinic on the tenth floor. We're
42:51
Speaker 16: also working on efforts to expand things in our surgical
42:55
Speaker 16: services service line and a lot of wonderful new faculty
43:00
Speaker 16: joining our hospital that are very subspecialized, to new oncologists
43:05
Speaker 16: that just recently joined our team that can help those
43:08
Speaker 16: kids in need of things like neurooncology. And then we
43:11
Speaker 16: continue to expand our presence with a new clinic that's
43:15
Speaker 16: going to be coming the start of the new year
43:17
Speaker 16: and Wheeling that'll have imaging and lab and urgent care,
43:20
Speaker 16: pediatric specialty care. We continue to add to our services
43:24
Speaker 16: and Charleston at Thomas Memorial Hospital and just numerous places
43:29
Speaker 16: that we are working to continue to have growth for
43:33
Speaker 16: the kids.
43:34
Speaker 15: And for those listening at home. How do their donations
43:37
Speaker 15: make a difference for children who are receiving.
43:40
Speaker 16: Care, you know, So this is the fourth year of
43:42
Speaker 16: our radioson and we're grateful to all of you as
43:44
Speaker 16: our partners. And I would say every dollar helps, whether
43:48
Speaker 16: it's a gas card, it's a meal card, it's additional
43:51
Speaker 16: housing for families who have extended family who can't stay back,
43:55
Speaker 16: whether it's that next piece of special equipment or technology,
43:59
Speaker 16: or something specific like helping families with some other need
44:04
Speaker 16: that they might have during you know, a child's cancer
44:06
Speaker 16: treatment or whatever it might be. We put each of
44:09
Speaker 16: these dollars that we raise to great use and we
44:12
Speaker 16: just appreciate and you know, also things like childlife. We
44:15
Speaker 16: want to make things as normal as possible when they're here.
44:18
Speaker 16: So the events that we have for the kids, the
44:20
Speaker 16: football parties, the trades at holiday time, you know, trigger
44:24
Speaker 16: treat all the things go into making this hospital here
44:29
Speaker 16: and around the state in the region what it is,
44:31
Speaker 16: and all these dollars go toward that.
44:33
Speaker 15: That's Amy Bush Cao at WVU Medicine, Galasano Children's This
44:39
Speaker 15: is the WVRC Media Cares for Kids Radiothon.
44:42
Speaker 3: And appreciate Logan Scott for her sister station here in Charleston, V.
44:45
Speaker 3: One hundred for putting that piece together. A lot of
44:48
Speaker 3: our folks are up there in Morgantown right now. I
44:50
Speaker 3: know that Logan is there, Jenny from V one hundred,
44:53
Speaker 3: crash from Superstar Country ninety six to one KWS. And
44:56
Speaker 3: if you've seen any of the videos and pictures that
44:58
Speaker 3: are floating around, I mean there are folks from all
45:01
Speaker 3: of our stations. I mean from Beckley, from Elkins to
45:04
Speaker 3: Martinsburg to Morgantown. They're all up there, and they're actually
45:07
Speaker 3: at the hospital right now, and they're standing by taking
45:10
Speaker 3: phone calls and answering texts and things of that nature. Now,
45:13
Speaker 3: if you want to call, it's eight seven seven seven
45:16
Speaker 3: one nine fifty four to thirty seven. Eight seven seven
45:19
Speaker 3: seven one nine fifty four to thirty seven. That is
45:21
Speaker 3: a service of Best Virginia Heating and Cooling. And that
45:23
Speaker 3: text line from Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration text the word
45:26
Speaker 3: at WVU Kids to three four nine eighty four WVU
45:30
Speaker 3: Kids three four nine eighty four. That way, if you
45:33
Speaker 3: do it that way, you get a link that you
45:35
Speaker 3: could donate via credit or debit card, PayPal, Apple, pay
45:38
Speaker 3: Venmo and more. We appreciate every one of you for
45:41
Speaker 3: helping us out for our WVRC Media Cares, Radio thon
45:44
Speaker 3: benefiting WVU Medicine, Gottless on New Children's nine at fifty three.
45:48
Speaker 3: Will take a break and come back after this on
45:49
Speaker 3: the Voice of Charleston WCCHS.
45:52
Speaker 1: Brought to you by the Eric jtr Family Businesses.
